Very quiet, a great hot tub comfortable house with all the necessary facilities. Did I mention how great the hottub was?

We absolutely loved our stay at Basecamp Amsterdam. It completely exceeded our expectations. The Wikkelhouse House is gorgeous and was much more spacious than we had expected. Our children had bunk beds which were in their own little room. They loved it! It was quiet, cosy and incredibly comfortable and had everything you needed to be self sufficient (should you wish to be, there is also an amazing bio farm shop next door!) - Basecamp does have a bar which serves food and we had delicious pizzas one night. We also had a hot tub which was a real treat! We made use of the sauna (stunning) and the club house (bar and games room) and we also hired bikes. The staff were excellent, really friendly, helpful and very responsive. We really loved being in an urban location surrounded by open space and so much wildlife and nature. We had the most relaxing time here. We made the most of slow relaxing mornings at Basecamp and chose to visit Amsterdam Old town each afternoon which for us provided the perfect balance. To get to Amsterdam centre we used the train (a 5 min drive to Halfweg - with free parking, and then a 10 min journey to Centraal) and on one day we cycled. I would highly recommend Basecamp Amsterdam. We loved it so much! Thank you Basecamp!

We were a bit hesitant when booking because of some older reviews, but ended up completely blown away. The place may not stand out much from the outside, but inside it’s warm, nicely designed, and super comfortable. We stayed in early spring with just a few degrees at night, and it was cozy and perfectly warm indoors. Comfy duvets, nice bathroom, a small but very functional kitchenette, and the view from the windows was lovely. It’s peaceful too where we only heard birds singing all day. Our dog loved the nature either on the walks or looking through the window. Sure, if you step outside, you might catch road noise, but that’s just how it is anywhere around Amsterdam. For a nature-feel or meditation getaway in Amstellland this place is perfect. The staff were laid-back and welcoming, and we felt totally at home. Breakfast was standard but just right, and we really enjoyed the table tennis and board games. It was our first visit, but definitely not the last.

I have never enjoyed a stay as much as this one. What a beautiful compound. From start to finish it was a dream staying here for one week. All staff were so helpful, kind & accomodating. The room/apartment was silent, modern & spotless & had stunning giant windows to the nature surroundings. You have an enormous park bedside the property that was so relaxing to listen to with all windows open. The sauna! The breakfast! The BED! Everything was perfect. Bus 21 is only a 12 minute walk down a lovely path; this takes you directly to city center in less than 20 minutes. Very affordable bike rentals are available as well. It is absolutely worth staying just outside of the main city center to experinece this as well as the price being very affordable.

This is a very relaxing, quiet and peaceful place surrounded by nature. The Lodge is very pretty, with a kitchen, dining table, sofa and fireplace, and the beds are comfortable. We stayed in the Freelodge but would have preferred to stay in the Basecamp as it has better access to facilities and breakfast, but we had to drive there and gave up breakfast. It's good for families who can stay longer, even if some people have their pets too.

Had a great stay at Hotel Sebastian’s for three nights over New Year’s Eve. Very short walk from Centraal station, comfy bed, decent size room. We went for a lower ground floor room without a view as we’ve been to Amsterdam before so opted for the slightly cheaper option. Nice coffee machine with pods in the room, if you want breakfast tea grab some teabags as they’re all herbal teas. Room would’ve benefited from another mirror for drying your hair, tricky when the only mirror is in the bathroom. Friendly staff, grabbed a few drinks in the bar and they were a reasonable price, same as you’d pay in any city centre bar. Close enough to walk to lots of the main attractions but on a nice quiet canal.

This is by far my favorite hotel in Amsterdam! I’ve stayed at many places and this one takes the crown! Friendly, kind and helpful staff! Location was amazing right in front of the canal but still very private and quiet at night. This hotel is a perfect combination of old architecture and new renovated interiors, smart TV, AC, Heater, beautiful bathroom and rain shower. Offering Top quality care products, they use my fav brand called Rituals, shampoo, body wash, hand soap and body lotion all top products that smell delightful! We qualified to have a welcome drink at the bar and they do have a great selection of drinks. I didn’t want to leave and I’ll be back again! Thanks for everything

My husband and I reserved the honeymoon suite and wow was it cool. A round room with a large tub with water jets, led lights that surround the tub and bed. Bed was a large king size and also round. The room had a great view of the bustling street facing the Vatican church entrance. Although it was a busy street we closed the windows and it was remarkably very quiet. The bathroom had a glass shower that had a view of the bedroom and inside of the bathroom. It was also the only hotel we stayed in that had a bidet. The room had robes and slippers for us both to use. It was nice to soak and relax in the tub after walking all day. My only wish was that the water got hotter. It was warm but I really like hot water. Paul who worked the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful when suggesting things to do and see in the city. I would stay at MDM Guest House again next time im in Rome. The closeness to the Vatican, restaurants and shops made the hotel easy to come rest when we got tired.

Very great experience overall. Staff is friendly, helpful and informative. They are flexible and willing to store luggage which helped us a lot on our trip. The bar is nice and the breakfast is well done and decently priced, we had it each morning. The room was clean and included everything we needed. It felt luxurious and comfortable. The flexibility in type of room helped our large group stay together comfortably. Location is close to the city center and especially close to the train station. When in Amsterdam, stay at Sebastian's!

The Hotel Sebastian's was a gem. It is located in a vibrant walkable neighborhood with many small restaurants and fun things to see and do. We felt very safe walking around - there is a lovely canal out front of the hotel and we found some great places to eat close by. The staff was exceptionally kind and friendly and the bar is well stocked and fun! I highly recommend this place if you want to immerse yourself in Amsterdam.

My room was spacious & big & so well lit. The Spa area with jacuzzi, sauna & steam room was well maintained & I definitely used it. room 102 Me. porter resturant had awesome food. The staff at the Spa was fantastic- one particular lady ( Lori ) was very professional & amicable as I was having headache & she suggested to drink water, lemonade & help easy my headache. It was my birthday, she & her colleagues made it special for me. Thanks to Lori & other colleagues at the Spa.

I was very impressed overall. The service was excellent and i was particularly happy with the service in the W lounge in both the daytime and evening. The staff are all super friendly and it was nice how the are very talkative and helpful, they was able to offer me a lot of advise on areas to explore in the City. The Away spa is amazing and again the staff working there are always so happy to help. I did also enjoy the complimentary flavored water options. But this is a must, its super relaxing and peaceful. The facilities are also super clean, the staff working in the spa are on top of everything. I ate at the MrPorter restaurant, it was amazing! Staff again was really helpful trying to find me the perfect steak and wine. The atmosphere is really cool and it attracts a very good crowd.

The hotel is very good, clean, spacious and centrally located in Amsterdam. The room was beautiful. The check in went smoothly with Sofia Chiara at the reception. She was very helpful and nice. The breakfast was amazing. Very good food and coffe. The staff was very helpful and Roxana was great and she helped us a lot. She was so friendly and also professional.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times, and Antonio at the front service always makes my visits special. This time, he kindly upgraded me to the most beautiful room in the hotel, which made my stay even more memorable. His warm, professional service is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. My stay at W Amsterdam was absolutely amazing! The staff were welcoming and attentive, the rooms were stylish and spotless, and the rooftop bar offered stunning views of the city. Perfect location and great atmosphere highly recommend!

The room was adequate for our use, and clean. The bath was a jacuzzi bath, and again this was immaculate. We were late arriving at the hotel, and the manager was very amenable and friendly. We did telephone her to let her know that we would not meet the 9pm deadline.

The Zwanenburgh Inn is a very nice hotel to stay in when you're visiting Amsterdam. It's only a 20 minute walk from the local train station to the inn. The walk along the waterway is quite peaceful & you can spot some friendly geese along the way. The hotel is very clean & quiet, the rooms have t.v. & refrigerators as well as wifi. The staff is friendly & helpful, there's also a restaurant on site. The hotel is in a residential neighbourhood so the surroundings are quite nice & family oriented. They have a policy at the Zwanenburgh that room cleaning occurs once a week. This is due to the fact that there's usually one person working per shift. However if you need extra cleaning you can ask and for a fee the room will be given an extra clean. Some people will find this unacceptable but it's not really a big deal at all. I tend to keep my rooms clean so it's not a bother to me and I like my privacy so it works out just fine. There is an Aldi just 5 minutes from the inn and an Albert Heijn store around the corner from Aldi about 15 minutes from the Zwanenburgh. If you like coming to Amsterdam as much as I do you should give the Zwanenburgh a try. From the local train station to Centraal Station in Amsterdam it's only about a 25 minute journey. You also avoid herds of tourists when staying in Zwanenburgh. The price for 7 nights was only 535$ and you really can't find a better offer for that price.

Our flight was delayed and we were a bit panicked as the Hotels.com info mentioned that reception closed at 9pm. We rang the reception and were told it was open until 10pm so there was someone there to check us in. The room was a little worn looking but clean. We were told that, as we had a special rate, housekeeping was not included but we could ask for anything at reception. We were quite happy with this. The area is very quiet and although we could hear people speaking in the room next to us, the hotel was very quiet after 10pm. My only complaint would be the lack of tea making facilities in the room but I think you can go to the bar downstairs and get a cuppa. We did not use the bar/restaurant.

After reading past reviews I was very nervous about this hotel I had booked. On arrival check in was super fast and easy. Our room was on the third floor (no elevators) but not a problem. Our room was clean, clean bathroom with full shower/toilet/sink. Had soap and shampoo/conditioner. The AC was an extra cost but we actually didn’t need it with having the window open at night. With the reviews I read - not sure if we just got a cleaner room or a room that just didn’t have broken appliances but we had a pleasant stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed for a week. Short 20 minutes walk to the train station and just two stops away from Amsterdam Central. Very quick and cheap way to get downtown with trains coming every 10 minutes. Would stay here again.

Nice quiet location.. Lidl supermarket and a variety of outlets nearby.. About a twenty minutes walk away from the train station to get into Amsterdam centre.. Fyi €8.. return.. Check in was simple and pleasant enough fyi..no staff after 9pm.. so please make sure you advise before arrival if you need to check in later.. Given a key for our room door and proceeded up the stairs to our room...no lift here.. The room was clean and adequate for our two night stay.. But be aware the property and it's rooms look nothing like the pictures on the website.. It's rather tired and in need of a little TLC.. But it's clean and the bed was very comfortable with a great shower.. so not complaining for me and the price of our stay I would be quite happy to return..

Location was perfect. Very close to public transportation. Many restaurants and cafes around the area. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The jacuzzi tub was a nice surprise, specially after the long walks.

Stayed in a cottage like suite, in the back of the property. It was beautiful, quiet, with a beautiful jacuzzi for two. Throwback ‘80’s decor was fun and well done. Comfortable bed and pillows. Staff was over the top accommodating. Excellent stay!

I travel a lot in Europe and don't write a lot of reviews, but I think it's important to point out an exceptional hotel, and this is it. Everything about this place is wonderful. The location, to start, is perfect, right in the center of restaurants and shopping and the main square. Each room is spectacular in its own way. Each is beautifully decorated but completely different. One room has a soaker tub, one with a sauna, and all have soaring ceilings. They have stocked not only each room with drinks and treats that are included, but every floor has a buffet of delicious snacks, too. The staff is super kind and helpful, and oh, I forgot, the view from Room 6 is amazing. A beautiful vista over the city with the church in the center of town lit up at night. I also slept like a baby every night in a very comfortable bed. Our stay could really not have been better.

Everything? The room we booked was just perfect in every aspect: practical, very comfortable, well decorated, super clean, spacious, cozy and well equipped. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely book there again next time we are in Haarlem. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, definitely a major highlight of our trip. The minibar being included and the snacks available on each floor were truly a nice treat.

Skip Amsterdam and go straight to Haarlem... This hotel is beautiful. I loved it so much I'm booking a trip to go back, the room was spectacular high ceiling, terrace area, your own in room spa which is a lovely surprise so you'll have to stay here to find out, mini bar was included as part of our stay which stocked top shelf spirits and Bottega Prosecco, also iron, hairdryer, coffee machine & kettle with plenty of coffee and tea, there was also free treats left out in the hallways from chocolate muffins to lollypop, breakfast served to your room, Staff were extremely helpful and friendly they made us feel like VIP"s with their 5 star treatment. Looking forward to my next stay.

Brasss Hotel Suites (stayed in Suite Sardine) exceeded expectations. We had a fabulous stay and are planning on going back. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and spacious (the bathroom was great too). The complimenary extras such as snacks, water and minibar were a very welcome surprise. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful - it kept us going past lunchtime.

Ideal central location.. Cozy rooms with garden view balcony. Jacuzzi bath was perfect after a long day of walking. This was my second stay and I will most defiantly be back as it’s my new fav boutique hotel. Quiet , warm and welcoming. Supermarket open until the wee small hours directly opposite was super handy. It’s the staff that set it apart for me , very friendly . Loved being offered a hot drink( free ) when coming in wet ect. Very considerate. Helpful and always cheery!

The staff at the hotel, especially Tahir were exceptional. He was happy to answer any question we had regarding Amsterdam as it was our first time visiting and was very informative on things to do/skip while there. He was incredibly kind and always accommodating with anything we needed. The jacuzzi tub was amazing and a great way to relax after being in the rain/cold. The location of the hotel was great. A quick train ride to all major points of interest.

Our stay at Van der Valk Hotel Zuidas in Amsterdam was overall enjoyable. The hotel is modern, clean, and well-maintained. The service was good, from check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. The staff were very friendly and professional, and the general atmosphere of the hotel was welcoming and stylish.

This was our first stay in Amsterdam and this hotel was everything we could've asked for and more! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The restaurant on the floor level was delicious. There's also a metro stop within 10 minutes walking distance. Make sure to go to the Metro and not the train station like we did! The cost for an all day pass was around 10 Euro and was so very easy to navigate. Thank you for such an amazing stay and we hope to be back soon!

Suite was amazing: spacious, comfortable, formal but cosy. Breakfast was very good and the hotel was close to public transport and Zuidas for plenty of going out options.

Superb place to stay and explore Haarlem. Spacious, light, bright & clean. Comfortable bed, sofa and eating area. Convenient, walkable location. Interesting shops and restaurants line the streets in all directions. 5 minutes to main square. All staff members were friendly and helpful. They even carried up our bags upon arrival. A lovely perk since our apartment, Hotelsuite Kleine Hout IV, was on the top floor. Haarlem is a wonderful city. We used Haarlem as our final base before heading to Schiphol airport. The direct bus was a 7-minute walk from the hotel.

From the moment we checked in The reception was so kind and helpful. Beautiful room, history, character all in one. Cozy and spacious with a full kitchen... Exceeded our expectations. Loved the decor. Perfect location it was in the heart of everything. You can walk less than 2 mins away to the main square. So many restaurants and little bars around us. So quiet even though it is in the heart of it all. The shutters at night were old historical ones and kept that room sound proof.

The place itself is located on a very quiet road close to a lot of boutiques and shops. The staff were really helpful in terms of showing to our room, taking our luggage and greeting us at the reception. I do recommend going on a weekend as the market is literally outside of the property! Our room, Kleinhout 1, was very spacious with an amazing bed and a lovely terrace in which we could enjoy our coffee. I cannot express how much me and my partner enjoyed this place and we will definitely come back to the same suite.

Fantastic Central Location and Exceptional Service We stayed at this hotel during a 24-hour layover, and it was an excellent choice. The central location made it incredibly convenient, and getting to the hotel from the airport was easy with a taxi. Upon departure, the hotel kindly arranged a taxi for us, as the Uber pick-up spot was a bit of a walk away—something we appreciated given our large suitcases. Check-in was seamless, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. The rooms were fantastic—moody lighting that suited the gray, rainy weather during our visit. The overall design of the hotel is beautifully thought out, and the showers and available products were luxurious touches. The hotel’s proximity to the canal made for a gorgeous view once the sun came up, even on a foggy morning. While the on-site restaurant wasn’t open, the honesty bar offered some nice snacks, and it was easy to order in for dinner, which suited us as we didn’t want to head out in the rain. Breakfast was a highlight with freshly prepared options like omelets, pancakes, and waffles, along with great coffee available in the breakfast area, the honesty bar, and the rooms. One small improvement would be providing more sugar and cream in the rooms to match the generous coffee offerings. Overall, this hotel offers a wonderful experience, especially if you book a larger room—the more space you have, the better the stay! Highly recommended for its design, service, and thoughtful touches.

This hotel a perfect all in one package with a fair price tag. The location of the hotel is perfect for discovering the city, as all sightseeing spots can easily be reached by foot or by tram, bus, ferry or metro from the central station that is only a 5-7 minute walk away from the hotel. There is even a metro exit 2 minutes from the hotel, from where you can get to the station all underground, which is very convenient especially when it‘s a rainy day. The hotel has a boutique hotel flair, with clean and spacious rooms (for Amsterdam). The elevators are very quiet and the view on the canal is lovely (if you book a canal view room). Plenty of food options around the hotel, so we opted for eating breakfast outside.

I booked a superior spa room with a nice jacuzzi tub. Simple room, but comfortable with a peaceful balcony. The staff were amazing! They were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to accommodate my early starts and dietary needs. Good breakfast.

I recently stayed at Hotel Larende and had a fantastic experience. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made me feel at home throughout my stay. The rooms were clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, with a very comfortable bed that ensured restful nights. The hotel’s location is excellent—close to the city center but tucked away in a quiet area, with easy access to public transportation, cafes, and several good restaurants. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, offering plenty of variety to start the day. The entire team was outstanding, from the front desk attendants to the kitchen staff and room cleaners—everyone was friendly and attentive. A special thanks to the manager, Murat, who went out of his way to ensure I felt valued and well cared for. I highly recommend Hotel Larende for its comfort, convenience, and service. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Amsterdam.

My stay was great. I've asked for a quite room in the back. I booked a single room. They upgraded me to a cozy, quite and clean double room facing the back. Many thanks for that. The breakfast was simple but everything was fresh. The coffee was special. Made from an old stile italian coffee machine and served at request on the table. Delicious. The street, and surroudings are full of all kinds of shops, restaurants, supermarkets, bars and many more. The conection to Central Station is easy. The staff is super friendly, they are always there, with a smile, to help you. So, no down side at all. I would highly recommend The Larende Hotel

What an excellent hotel! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice (and it was quiet, being at the back of the hotel) and everything was clean. The bathroom was much larger than average for this type of hotel/room, and the shower was great. The location was convenient for sightseeing, restaurants and food shops. The breakfast offered a good range of foods, relative to the size of the hotel. We had a great time there, and would definitely recommend the hotel. (The beds were comfortable, but some people might find them much too firm.)

Deluxe room with free mini bar, large room and very comfortable bed. Hotel bar excellent (not like a hotel bar at all). Staff very welcoming and friendly. Location excellent - close to some really nice restaurants, quiet location next to a park, 15 minute walk to centre of Haarlem old town and Grote Market.

What a fabulous hotel. It was clean and tidy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room had a small balcony, no room for a chair though. The mini bar was free and topped up every day. Great selection for breakfast. We had dinner there one night, fish and chips which was so tasy. The bus stop is just round the corner with buses running regularly to Haarlem station, where you can easily get the train into Amsterdam. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would go back again.

The room was large and clean. The soaking tub was a great luxury. When we complained about the room being cold the staff quickly came up to show us the radiator controls and even brought up a space heater in case we need it. Needless to say we found the staff to be very attentive and gracious. The restaurant was informal but served excellent food that was well presented and prepared. The breakfast buffet is excellent. We will stay there again when we visit Haarlem.

I stayed here at the end of a long trip, tired and feeling unwell. We had a beautiful room with a park view, an exceedingly comfortable bed, free mini bar and a good restaurant. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. It was a great place for rest and recovery and Haarlem is a wonderful small city with lots to enjoy. A real haven after some hard travel.

Nice and cozy room, larger than most rooms in Amsterdam, comfortable bed and pillows, we slept very well. There was no sofa in the room but there was a comfortable armchair that did the job. The hotel is modern and nicely decorated. Breakfast realy exceeded my expectations, large variety of hot and cold plates, fresh fruits, vegetables, juices, milk, yogurt, corn flakes and oats, everythink you could ask for. You can also order your own omelete and choose what to put in it. There is a restaurant and a bar (haven' t tried any of them but both look nice) There's also a well equipped gym and a mini shop. The hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the airport. We used it every day and it has allways been on time. Amsterdamse Bosch is just outside the hotel premises. When the weather is fine you can relax there and have a nice walk. If you cross the Amsterdamse Bosch ( aprox. 40 min. walking) you get to Amstelveen, a beautiful suburban town whith nice restaurants and cafes.

I had an extraordinary stay at Renaissance Schiphol Amsterdam Hotel. We checked in on the evening of July 17th, the eve of my birthday (July 18th), and to my surprise, the hotel upgraded my room to one with the best view. The front desk personnel and manager that evening (I regret forgetting their names) went above and beyond—they welcomed me with the local’s best stroopwafels and a small bottle of prosecco to celebrate the occasion. The hospitality made my birthday truly memorable, and every detail reflected genuine care. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with a wide variety of options, and the shuttle service was efficient and convenient. Altogether, the warm gestures, thoughtful surprises, and exceptional service made this stay unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Amsterdam, whether for a special occasion or simply for comfort and great service.

Loved my stay at Renaissance Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Hotel! Chef Davide made breakfast extra special by remembering exactly how I like my eggs and toppings - even with a full restaurant. Overnight staff were great too, especially the new lady working with Antonio - super polite and friendly. Parking is convenient at €17/day, and there's a free shuttle if you're not driving. Nature lovers will enjoy the nearby farm with horses, ponies, sheep, and rabbits. Personal, peaceful, and professional - highly recommend

The hotel was perfect. Our room was generous and clean and modern. The bar and dining room were great with very welcoming staff and the food was surprisingly great! I recommend the breakfast...it was truly a european experience!

Comfortable bed. Room was a very comfortable temperature too. Very quiet. Nice sized room. Good shower in the bathroom. Good breakfast with plenty of selection. Shuttle bus to travel from the airport to the hotel. Runs every half hour and takes about 10 minutes. Very friendly drivers.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spotless. The view was perfect and we even managed ro watch the fireworks from the jacuzzi!

We upgraded for a room and the facilities were outstanding. V clean room with our own sauna and jacuzzi. Food was very good, both breakfast and dinner and good value. Staff were brilliant.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, which is right in the city center of Amateradam. The location is amazing. 3-4 minutes from the central train station. Walking distance to all places to visit in Amsterdam. You can enjoy Amsterdam until late in the evening. The rooms are extremely large, spacious and clean for Amsterdam hotels. The staff is very professional and attentive. Thank you very much for your contributions to a wonderful Amsterdam experience. They also helped with taxis for airport transfers. I definitely recommend it.

Friendly staff throughout our stay. Rooms were fairly small with limited facilities as a result (such as iron in the room) but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was reasonable too with cooked and continental buffet. Location pretty central to the sights.

I recently stayed at Catalonia Vondel Amsterdam, and I couldn't have been more impressed with the experience. Everything about this hotel was amazing - the rooms, the staff, the breakfast, and the amenities. Located on a quiet street, just off of the busy Leidseplein area, the hotel is quite chic, with amazing staff. I stayed in a suite, which was really spacious with a lot of natural light. The entire staff - from the front desk, to the housekeeping, and the staff at the restaurant - everyone was really jovial and friendly. The breakfast spread is amazing, with plenty of choices. They also have turn-down service in the evening and left chocolates every evening. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to be back again.

I had a wonderful stay at Alp de Veenen Boutique Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. My room was beautifully decorated and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was a highlight, with a fantastic shower that was perfect for relaxing after a long day. The hotel is located in a quiet area, so I was able to get a great night's sleep without any disturbances. The breakfast was delicious and they even offered packed lunches for guests on the go. It's a cosy, quiet, noise-free boutique hotel. Rooms are on the 1st floor. Ours was the only with terrace and it was nice. Comfy beds but lighting is very weak. Modern toilet with floor heating. A shelf to put toiletries/makeups stuff would be very handy. Breakfast is brought to the table and based on cheese, ham/salami, bread jam, etc. You are given the choice of opting for eggs. Easy to get there from the Amstelveen bus station where the bus 300 leaves you from the airport. Waking distance to caffes, restaurant and supermarkets. I would stay again!

The rooms are kept exceptionally clean, the staff are very friendly and make you feel well attended to. The breakfasts are really nice, basically a selection of breads, cheese and ham/salami, eggs, and a load of different spreads. I had a broken plug in my bathroom sink and I reported it and they fixed it while I was out that day. The local area is quiet and locals very friendly, the hotels in the city of Amstelveen, which also has its own park, and restaurants and Cobra museum to explore. Was not disturbed by noise during the night, and the road is so quiet and respectful that you'd not get load people outside. If I wanted to visit Amsterdam again, I'd definitely consider staying here again, it was very pleasant.

The hotel was a quiant place in a quiet neighbourhood. Very close walking distance to several great restaurants. The ample breakfast included at the hotel was delicious and delightfully served. Rooms were very quiet and comfortable, just a tad on the small side but included all of the comforts required for a short stay.

I spent 2 nights here , 2 very comfortable nights. Despite being in the centre of Amsterdam it was very quiet , only the bells from the nearby church made a melodious interlude. A short walk from the Central Station, lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. I had a room on the 4th floor, there is a lift unusual in Amsterdam. Comfortable double bed , decent shower plenty of hot water. Breakfast was good , coffee nice. I would certainly stay here again and would recommend.

This is a very clean budget hotel with the most friendly and helpful front desk staff. Good beds, sheets & pillows. Blow dryers available when you ask. Updates done in rooms with new bathrooms. Our room was quiet, (top floor at the back). Great location to restaurants and walkable from Amsterdam Central. Very tiny elevator and you need to be able to do stairs ( breakfast downstairs). The real gem of this old hotel besides location is STAFF! Plus they clean your room daily. We stayed in October so did not need air conditioning and the window opened, so lots of fresh air.

Central, staff friendly and helpful, comfortable room , plenty of hot water. Close to bars and restaurants. Breakfast OK , cold meats , cheese , cereal, coffee very tasty.

Red beard and all other staff fantastic 👌 room was lovely and clean and warm considering the temperature outside, close to central station bonus, loads of bars and restaurants and food places on doorstep plus a few pubs and only a few kins walk from coffeeshops very central to the half circle layout if you don't know your around this is perfect plus they give you a city map but definitely recommend and breakfast is simply but nice and healthy few options.

Location near the train station and a clean and comfortable room. Very helpful and cheerful staff. And an out-of-this-world breakfast included. So many delicious choices and very good coffee. And this may seem like a petty detail to some, but to those of us who like perfectly cooked boiled eggs, this place gets top honors.

We had the most wonderful time at The Lightship. It’s a completely unique place to stay. We booked the Machinery Space, which was huge and stylishly decorated. The bed was so comfortable that we could have slept in it all day, and the bathroom is great with a spacious bath and shower. Coming back to the beautiful Lightship after a hard day’s sightseeing and seeing her looking so beautiful was such a joy - every day we couldn’t quite believe this amazing place was our home for a week! The Lightship itself is situated in a lovely, safe, quiet neighbourhood, with great bars and restaurants only a short walk away (we particularly enjoyed Pllek, Cafe ONS and Next cocktail bar). You can easily walk from the Lightship to the A’DAM Tower Lookout (about 10 to 15 minutes) and the brilliant free ferry into central Amsterdam. It’s also a short walk from the Lightship to Noorderpark Metro station (but we generally found the ferry more convenient). The best thing about staying at the Lightship is the superb hosting by Alex and Nathalie, who are so kind, generous and friendly. Alex provided the most generous and delicious holiday breakfast we have ever had each day, responded to any questions and requests really quickly, and was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. We absolutely loved our stay at the Lightship and would highly recommend it! Thank you again, Alex!

Staying at Lightship was a fantastic end to our European Holiday. It was a such a fabulous and unique experience . The hosts were exceptionally hospitable and communicated very well with us even though we were arriving late in the evening, the check in process was made very easy . Natalie was an amazing host , she made us a delicious breakfast and coffee each day. The location was not far from central station by a small 10 min walk to the ferry and quick free ferry ride to central station that runs 24/7 every 5 minutes. The area was in a residential part of Amsterdam North with plenty of restaurant located nearby. We even swam in the canal , as there were locals swimming. The room was very big and I loved having a bath (very rare in Amsterdam hotels) . There was a minibar stocked daily. We have stayed many times in Amsterdam , but this was exceptional . I is just a great place to hang out to get away from the hustle of Amsterdam. We sat on the deck after a busy day , and we felt at home. It was a relaxing stay and I highly recommend.

It was an amazing experience everyone going to Amsterdam MUST try. Room was too big. Bed was too comfortable. Perfect lighting. Amazing hospitality. So friendly and helpful owner. Breakfast was delicious. I would recommend it to everyone want to be in a quite area far from the stress of the city!

we had the most amazing stay, while celebrating new year we ended up with the most relaxing bolt hole to get rest after late nights out. the engine room was finished to a really high standard, with the most amazing continental breakfast deliver at a time we picked. warm bread and croissants were divine and fresh orange juice. but the outstanding feature has to be that the room is in a self contained glass box so it is sound proofed to any noise even the fireworks that continued day and night over three days of new year so when we came in at nearly dawn we could still sleep until midday without any noise etc. this from someone who never sleeps past 7am normally. a 15 min walk including and a quick hope on the ferry puts you right at central station. so great for getting to the centre of Amsterdam. this ferry runs every 10 minutes so you never have to wait as there’s always one loading up. even on new years night. although it’s a ship it doesn’t move or feel like a ship so apart from the amazing ambiance of being in a ship’s engine room, and being able to look through the walls of the glass lining to see the carcass of a ships engine room it actually feels like a top class suite in the best hotels we are going to plan another stay here again

Without a doubt, this accommodation surpassed all our expectations and stands as the most remarkable place we've ever stayed in, a sentiment that will likely remain until we return, which we certainly plan to do! The transformation of the place is truly exceptional, seamlessly blending luxury with industrial charm. Upon entering, you are immediately struck by the ingenious use of glass walls, which retain the original fabric of the ship and create a museum-like ambiance in the room. The amenities provided are what you'dexpect from a 5-star hotel, but the experience offered so much more than that. The convenience of being able to easily access both the ferry and train, just a short walk away, made exploring the city even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the contemporary double-ended bath in our room. After a day of exploration, sinking into that tub was an incredibly relaxing experience. The breakfast provided was nothing short of a feast, setting us up perfectly for the day ahead. It was so delicious and filling that we ended up skipping lunch each day! Though we didn't get to meet Alex, Nathalie, the host, was simply amazing. She attended to our every need and went above and beyond to ensure our stay exceeded all expectations. We wanted a romantic weekend and booked the Honeymoon suite. What a super room! We loved it. The breakfast was super. fresh pastries, eggs, muesli with fresh fruit and orange juice. The night before we had dinner in the restaurant and found the small cosy personal atmosphere prefect for what we wanted. Service was great and the food was also good. There is not alot to do within walking distance- but for a romantic night out this place was perfect. A true hidden gem.

We have just spent a long weekend at Rosalia’s. This is a lovely, quirky B&B. We were greeted warmly and our luggage was carried up to our room. We were given a quick tour of our room and instructions for A/C and WiFi etc. We stayed on the top floor, courtyard side. Yes, the stairs are incredibly steep! Our room was kitted out with reused/upcycled furniture. The bed was very comfy, bathroom was clean and shower was good. The fridge was stocked daily with soft drinks and snacks and there was a kettle and coffee machine. I was a little concerned about noise as the area is bustling and vibrant. I needn’t have worried as it was peaceful being at the top and back of the building. It was a very warm weekend and the A/C was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was fantastic - fresh fruit, granola and yoghurt to start. Freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. Eggs and bacon then croissant with jam, butter and chocolate spread. Certainly kept us going for a day of sightseeing. We stayed for cocktails a couple of times and they were lovely - very boozy. Rosalia’s was a perfect base and very central for all our sightseeing. 10-15 to the station and within comfortable walking distances of the museums and shops. There are cafes and restaurants everywhere so no shortage of places to go.

This small boutique hotel above a fabulous cocktail lounge is cozy, eclectic and in a great central location. Our canal facing room was on the top floor, so thank goodness the steep stairs were not a problem for us. The room was clean, large and came with sodas, coffee/tea, snacks, robes and a great view of the canal. The stay includes a bountiful full breakfast including yogurt, fruit, all different kinds of coffees or tea, fresh juice, eggs, bacon, croissant, bread etc. all made to order. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to get a seat in the cocktail lounge before bed a couple of nights. The staff at night is awesome as well and the cocktails are fabulous. We would definitely stay there again.

This little hotel is just perfect. It’s a fantastic location and easy to walk to from the train station. It is so relaxed and very quiet even though it is literally in the centre of everything! Easy walking distances from just about everywhere in Amsterdam. The rooms are perfect, spotless, comfortable and decorated beautifully. They contain everything you need. The bathrooms are spacious with gorgeous toiletries and fluffy towels. The breakfast is so delicious, Gabriel looked after us really well, making our breakfasts just as we like them! Yummy muesli great coffee and fresh squeezed juice. The cocktails in the evening were incredible and the atmosphere is cool and relaxed in the bar. We literally had the BEST time! Thank you to everyone.

Our room was on the top floor which made for a great view of the canal out front. The king sized bed (which is not easy to find in the city) was very comfortable and there was plenty of space in the room. The staff working there were amazing - very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, toast & croissant - a great way to start off the day. We had cocktails in the downstairs bar most nights and they were all very interesting and tasty. If you're there in the busy season, you'll need to reserve a spot for drinks as it's a small place, but we were able to find a table every time. The location was perfect and we could walk to anything we wanted to do.

Wow what can I say, our 3 night stay was above & beyond our expectations. The owners & their staff were so friendly & helpful, they couldn't be more accommodating. The breakfast was really good & set us up for the day ahead exploring. They even welcomed our Daughter who we were visiting to join us for breakfast too. The bar looked amazing, especially at night, soft lighting, relaxing ambience & the menu of cocktails & snacks was a quirky touch too. The decor throughout was amazing & made you feel very relaxed and at home, Large comfy bed, well stocked fridge, coffee machine & crisps all included in the price, we even had Prosseco & chocolates on arrival. We can't wait to come & stay again :-) x

Review of AMSTEL Corner Hotel Amsterdam. October 2023 FIVE STARS! HIGHLY RECOMMEND This was a romantic 2 night stay in the HONEYMOON SUITE. The location is PERFECT, as it is in the outskirts of the city center. It is a short walk to many Amsterdam attractions. The street is EXTREMELY QUIET, unlike most streets in the city. The room has beautiful decorations, the most COMFORTABLE BED & PILLOWS, and a large motorized tv that raises out of the end of the bed for perfect viewing. The cute terrace is overlooking a peaceful canal and perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine. My lady LOVED the deep antique style bath tub with plenty of hot water. The curtains block out 100 percent of the light should you want to relax at any time. The gorgeous wood furniture contains a Nespresso machine, refrigerator & all of the other little necessities that make for a great stay. Best of all, was the awesome owner/host. He was available at anytime to assist with any questions via WHATS app and he even bought me a special bottle to celebrate the night with my lady. We have been traveling all over Europe for the past month, staying at many luxury hotels. This was our last stop, and BY FAR THE BEST ROOM & MOST MEMORABLE experience. Stayed in Dukes Suite on the top floor, yes the stairs are steep and narrow but that is because it is an original canal-side house. The studio apartment was completely kitted out with everything you would need to be self catering for your holiday with a full size fridge, excellent cooker/microwave/hob, kettle, coffee maker, huge TV with netflix, music system,extremely comfortable beds, very luxurious bathroom with big shower. The place is immaculate and all the laundry is changed regularly. The owner is very welcoming and Maria who works there is really helpful and friendly. You are very near to tram stops and only 5 mins from Albert Cuyp one of the largest street markets in Europe as well as being near plenty of bars and shops. You can walk along the canals into town (stopping to eat and drink on the way). The view from the window over the canal is lovely particularly at night. We had a wonderful stay and loved its location, with the choice to tram (every 10 mins) into town or take a leisurely very scenic walk. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is not a hotel in the true sense of the word but luxury studio apartments in a traditional residential setting.

There is a lot to like about this charming little hotel in a converted canal house. We had a room at the front of the top floor looking over the canal. The room was spacious, easily accommodating the three of us, well appointed and had comfortable beds. It had cooking facilities and a generous sized table to eat at. The bathroom was clean and a good size. The narrow staircases leading to the room are steep but lovely. However, they may prove a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. The hotel is in a quiet location but it is only a short walk to great cafes and restaurants. Depending on the weather, it is a comfortable walk to major sights including the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, the Anne Frank House and the Dam. Otherwise, there is a choice of trams just a block from the hotel's front door. The hotel is easily reached from Central Station on the number 4 tram. Staff were very friendly and we liked the little touches - fresh flowers in the entrance and the halls, a box of mandarins on a table on the landing. We would happily stay here again.

Our stay at this Amsterdam flat was absolutely delightful! The location was incredibly convenient, and we loved spending time on the balcony overlooking the charming neighborhood. The apartment was cozy, warm, and impeccably clean—fresh towels were provided daily, our bed was made, and even the dishes were washed for us. The kitchenette was a fantastic addition, giving us everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was wonderful—kind, helpful, and very communicative, even going out of their way to help us with our bags up the stairs. We’d happily stay here again!

Very cozy. We loved the location. It was great to be close to the tram stop and there is a great pub around the corner that served breakfast. We were in very short walking distance from an open air market with great food and local vendors. The host was kind, fun, personable. He was very welcoming but also didn't hover. He made sure we were comfortable. The balcony on our room was great. We also loved how the cabinet opened up to a convenient kitchenette. Yes, the water floods a bit, but who cares, the water was hot and the water pressure was great which we loved after a long day of walking around the city in cold. Stairs are step and no elevator, because it's an awesome old building. Great experience.
