Soho was like a five star hotel and very impressive given it's in Mt Roskill. Why go to city hotels this was the same quality in terms of whole decor in reception to elevators very safe and secure with card only entry. The king deluxe bedroom was huge and it didn't matter the view was of highway 20. It was soundproof window but not sure if room was as can hear people passing in hall. The bed very comfy, so technological with automated blinds, light switches and massive tv. Bathroom beautiful and shower with rainfall shower head. Everything abt room was beautifully presented, had comfy chairs and table to sit at. Even had all coffee and tea amenities, but also a nespresso - loved it. It's near motorway so easy to get to airport or city great location. We had dinner in Tiger restaurant first night, nice and spacious, including booths. Yummy food, they make their own prawn shiumai which was delicious, also we had butter chicken and tempura snapper fish and chips. Fish was fresh. The restaurant staff were so professional and friendly We had a Asian guy (sorry not yr name) but he was awesome. Beautiful hotel would stay here again, honestly value for money and I think just the same as staying at the cordis or other hotels in city that are twice the price. Thank you for a great experience

This was a challenging trip for me for family reasons…so I’d booked the last few nights of my trip at the Soho hoping for a little relief. Thanks to Duncan and his attentive staff I had a memorable 4 days. An upgrade to a beautiful suite complete with a luxurious bathtub, views across the Waitakare’s and to Skytower. Comfortable bed with both firm and soft pillows, double balcony (one with more privacy which I liked as I was travelling solo ). Room service and the restaurant were fabulous and Phoebe was so friendly. Shout out to the reception team too - so compassionate and helpful. I’m definitely booking again if I am back in NZ. Thanks again Duncan for your hospitality.

We could not fault anything really. Reception on arrival we welcoming and informative, then checkout was the same with a different person, very engaging and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed, the bar/restaurant staff were amazing KJ(I think) and Phoebe, even the second day at breakfast she recited our tea/coffee order from the previous day. We had cooked breakfasts for 2 morning and one dinner and they were very good, we discussed that there is no need to go anywhere else if the meals and service are this good. Parking was easy but I assume if it was full, it may be different? Well-done team, and good work on your staff selection and/or training. We will be back, and are already recommending.

I recently stayed at The Soho Hotel in Auckland and was impressed by the overall experience. The room was spacious and stylish, with a large tv and nice tea and coffee facilities, offering a comfortable and modern atmosphere that made my stay enjoyable. I also appreciated the well-equipped gym, which had everything I needed for a good workout. However, there were a couple of minor downsides. The makeup light in the bathroom didn’t work, but this was not a major issue. The breakfast room service was lovely! I ordered avocado on toast, and it was fresh and delicious.

Staff was amazing, warm, friendly and professional, the bed was super comfortable, I love the fact they didn't require a deposit either, the food from Tiger Bar was exceptional. Highly recommend the creamy mushroom for breakfast, location is good too, right by the motor way and woolworths. I loved how the room was also hight tech, wireless charger, button to close and open curtains and the fact there was windows for fresh air. Even the door at the front was a blast fo walk in and out of, there is also chrome casting available.

This is the perfect place for a stay before or after your flight. Close to the airport, they offer a free shuttle, and the most rooms are modern and newly renovated when we stay. It's was so clean, cosy, and quiet that you forgot that you're in the city. The staff was really friendly and welcoming. We are definitely coming back again.

A wonderful surprise. We choose to stay here when we travel overseas both before we leave and after arriving back. This time was exceptional. We had booked a larger room upon our return. Stepping inside had the wow factor. The room has been renovated and upgraded beautifully. The beds are new and comfortable; the shower has great pressure and apart from putting a small shelf in the shower to hold the shampoo etc, if was perfect. I will recommend it 100%.

Clean, modern facilities, friendly and helpful staff. I phoned for the shuttle when I got out of the airport and the guy I spoke to was friendly and polite and headed straight out to pick me up. Friendly smile when he got out of the van and helped me load my luggage.

We stayed in the king deluxe studio with kitchenette, great room and bathroom. Kitchenette is small but manageable to cook some breaky and make a coffee. Bed was really comfy and very clean rooms but just a little small overall. Super helpful and friendly staff. TV channels and wifi are a major plus. A negative would be that staff couldn't supply a mattress for the porta cot that they had.

We stayed one night here for the Eagles concert at Spark Arena. Small room but it was all we needed! Clean, tidy! Comfy bed and comfy pillows! (I can hardly ever say that about anywhere I stay). I really liked the free wifi, the body wash dispenser on the shower wall, the aircon unit, the well marked car parks, and the information compendium thing in the room. It’s only about 5km to Spark Arena so didn’t take long in the car at all to get to our concert after checking in. We had the very front room (01) facing the busy road and yet car noise wasn’t a problem. Fridge was a decent size for all our drinks and food! Nice area of Auckland, and we felt safe. Wouldn’t hesitate to book there again!

Stayed here for three nights. Management is incredibly accommodating, helpful and friendly. The room is clean and modern. The bed is very big and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this motel. Great value for the price we payed

We love staying here for events at the Asb showgrounds its within walking distance and close to restaurants and supermarkets. The staff are friendly its quiet and just an absolute pleasure such amazing value for money!

Very well maintained and clean. But must pay for shower and wifi which wasn't stated on the website. Furthermore, my partner lost his token when the machine didn't let out water. He went on to tell the staff but they didn't reimburse him. Having said all that, the place is actually really nice and clean. Good facilities and well maintained.

Hi Auckland North shore Motel, we enjoyed our stay very quiet and cosy, helpful reception lady, friendly, close to various facilities, very clean toilet/shower areas.

We liked that this was reasonably priced accommodation near Devonport. Room layout was spacious, comfortable beds, good kitchen in room. No outside noise overnight. In then bathroom the shower drain was blocked, and the toilet cistern dripped noisily overnight. Also had to turn noisy fridge off overnight to sleep. When I let reception know about the shower drain they were very apologetic, bit wouldn't be able to fix until morning, after we checked out. Unfortunate circumstances, but annoying for us.

Stayed here during my friend's Engagement Party, the room I had with the Spa is incredibly awesome, having a Spa twice a day, everyday until it was time to go home! Having a nice big bed to myself was very comfortable! Wifi....unfortunately cost so much money, I ended up going to Burger King to purchase a Kid's meal just to use their WiFi. No air conditioning in the bathroom, need ventilation in the bathroom, as well as room need air conditioning. Had the fan going all day and night as it was too hot and stuffy. But otherwise a weekend away was worth it.

Staff very welcoming, helpful, happy to see you, checked in around 7pm on a weekday. Breakfast was very good simple food done well, delivered to your door and real butter not packets. Plunger coffee in the room was better than expected. Two very happy chef's! Clean. Nice towels. Nice bedding. Shower was a good size, nice body wash provided. Quieter than expected being the top end room near the main road but the beautiful fountain as our view was a very romantic back drop. Good blackout curtains, blinds, heat pump, heater in the bathroom, TV, Wi-Fi, table to eat at, it was perfect.

We were there on our Honeymoon. They gave us a beautiful bottle of wine to congratulate us. The cooked breakfast was awesome. Fresh, hot, tasty. We give this motel 20/10. We will be back. Clean, tidy, comfortable, quiet. Thank you. You made our special time even more perfect & memorable. 💝💜

The location of this hotel is perfect. It’s an easy 5-minute walk to restaurants, transit, museums, and a huge mall. It’s on a tree-lined street and is in a bustling yet quiet and safe area. The room was gigantic, well-appointed, and tidy with a lovely view and a large, comfortable bed. If you’re talking about value for the money, I would stay here again, but the room was in need of some updates. The grout between the bathroom floor tiles was permanently stained, the bathroom itself was dated looking, and the shower stall was old. That said, the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the woman at the front desk was lovely and welcoming.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights as I traveled up for medical treatment. Our room was perfect. Exceptionally clean and super comfy bed and pillows. Bathroom was clean and the shower had amazing pressure. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend to everyone and we will definitely be back to stay next time we come up for another appointment.

Easy to find, off-street parking available, our room was very clean and well equipped for a short stay, beds were super comfortable as well, shower pressure was great, quiet surrounding area and the staff were so lovely. Also reasonably priced considering our last minute booking for Easter weekend. Only a short 5-10 min walk to Newmarket. Only one comment is the apartment we received was a lot smaller than the one shown in the photos - the ceilings were low and it was quite dark which made it feel a little claustrophobic. We travelled with four others who received a spacious room as pictured. We would stay again, but next time request the spacious apartment.

Friendly and welcoming check in process. Easy parking. Clean and very spacious room - I stayed in the one bedroom which is like a studio with King bed plus a separate room consisting of two single beds. Perfect for families or friends travelling together. Both rooms have their own tv and heat pump. Very comfortable bed. Nice furnishings with good size wardrobe and a lovely window seat area.

It was in a perfect location for us, close to Newmarket and central traffic hubs. On a busy side road, but road noise was not a problem. Modern and everything provided. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking was not a problem - it was full only once and there was street parking immediately by the property. We had a nice comfortable stay.

My sister and I stayed here for 3 weeks - this is our second time at Aristotles (our first stay was 2 years ago) - and we were impressed with the friendly customer service and facilities. Last time the elevator was being repaired, so we were delighted it worked well this time, since we were on the top floor! Our rooms were clean, well maintained and spacious, with the kitchenette a plus. The close proximity to restaurants, supermarket, shops, bus stop into the city (all within walking distance), along with plenty of (free) guest parking made this a perfect location for us. Any concerns were dealt with immediately - for example, 3 days after we arrived, the small fridge in my room suddenly froze my milk and bread. Until then, the fridge worked just fine! When I returned to my room that afternoon, a new fridge was in its place, AND the manager, Aki had replaced my frozen loaf and frozen milk with a fresh loaf of bread and bottle of milk. The exact same brands I had originally bought. Aki mentioned that she took a photo to make sure she got the same items. Very thoughtful! When I found the spa bath a challenge to get in and out of, and mentioned my sister's room had a walk in shower, Aki offered to move me to a room with a walk in shower. Problem solved! The water pressure in the motel showers was wonderful! Best hot showers ever! We highly recommend Aristotles to anyone staying on the North Shore, and will definitely return here again on our next visit Down Under.

I had a pleasant stay at Aristotles in Wairau. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed, including a small kitchenette. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, with shops, and restaurants. It’s a great choice for both short and long stays on the North Shore.

Lovely little accommodation. The Executive Spa Room was very spacious and clean. With a separate bedroom, it was convenient for my family of 3. Laundry facilities and sheltered parking just added to the convenience. There were plenty restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Peter and Selina are a delight to know. We will definitely return to Aristotle during our next visit to North Shore. Highly recommended.

I loved the room it was comfortable & very clean,stayed 2 days they made up my room every day,changed the towels,staff very kind,beds very comfortable,lots of parking very enjoyable stay,close to restaurants,bus station,it's great some of the restaurants offer discount.

I was attending my friend's hen party, it is a very special place for her and her fiance and so it was only fitting we celebrated at her favorite place. I had high expectations, but my room was amazing, the view with the balcony was breathtaking looking over the pool, the bush, and the view into the city. My room was immaculate, clean, and very smart. I even enjoyed the windows from the bathroom into the bedroom..nice view from the shower :-) We had dinner which was off the main restaurant, we had a preset menu. The staff was very attentive to us and our needs, absolutely friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and plentiful, there was a lot of food envy, and it was tasty. I had the squid, the lamb, and the tiramisu. Reasonably priced, great cocktails are also reasonably priced.

Such wonderful memories were created with our grandchildren. We booked the school holiday family special in the 2 bedroom house which was spacious and very comfortable. Luxurious modern bathrooms and large comfortable beds in spacious bedrooms and a small kitchen so we could prepare food for the toddler. The package included a delicious dinner and continental breakfast. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and made the experience with the toddler and teenagers so special. The location is spectacular and we just wish we had, had more time to explore. Thank you for your generous hospitality, beyond anything we have experienced in similar properties.

We had a corner room and the views were absolutely stunning at night and in the morning, we saw all of Auckland City so clearly. It is so far off the road that you don't hear the traffic which is wonderful. The room was lovely, very tidy, beautiful spa bath big enough for two on our romantic getaway. Had all the kitchen bits we needed. Great little lounge area. Large comfy bed with clean linen. We choose the option with the breakfast at their restaurant, this was either a continental or cooked. We had the big breakfast, great choice, a very filling breakfast. All the staff were very helpful and very friendly

Amazing views. Room was upgraded so felt like I had the best view in the place. Bed was super comfy. Spacious and clean. Went for dinner at the restaurant which wasn't planned but so happy we did. Great taste, portions and presentation.

We were celebrating a milestone birthday & chose to ignore some of the negative reviews about the Estate. Consistently amazing, courteous & attentive service throughout. I can’t sing their praises loud enough - nothing was too much trouble. The manager, Duncan is exceptionally great. Awesome at multi tasking & leads from the front. We were looked after ever so beautifully. Incredible meals - we had both dinner & breakfast. yum. We will be back - this is an amazing & excellent resort to kick back & celebrate. Stayed in the luxury gate villa & that’s SO good. Any issues are resolved immediately, which is great. Wish we’d stayed longer. Duncan, thank you, you’re amazing. Your team are champions too - thanks Kellie & Nick & the gorgeous lady who still served my breakfast after 10am. Bless you all - we loved every second & will be back.

Great location. Easy to find and short stroll to beach. Next to busy main road so some rooms will be more noisy than others but room 311 was ground floor and although we could hear traffic, it did not disturb us. Room very spacious, shower room too. Useful kitchenette with fridge and microwave. Staff were extremely polite and friendly. Free parking on a first come first served basis. The walk into town is either along the main road or via the beach. Lots of fantastic cafés, restaurants and shops in Takapuna. Would highly recommend.

The units were very spacious, tidy and clean. The bathrooms were super clean and a fantastic shower with good water pressure. Heat Pump in the room was awesome to regulate the temperature. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows!! Staff were super friendly and the welcome Brownie was a super nice touch during check in.

While it is clear this is an older property The rooms in this property seem to be completely renovated. Our room was clean, comfortable in wonderful shape and nicely outfitted. I had no interest in the pool but it looked clean in passing. Our room had a modest kitchenette with kettle, microwave, small fridge, and plates, cups, utensils, coffee, tea, creamer, etc.. there was also a large wardrobe and some storage drawers in the bathroom. Bed had a thick foam mattress topper.

We had a deluxe studio room which was a good size with 2 beds, small kitchenette, table, desk, safe, air-conditioner and a 40” TV. The large bed was actually 2 singles joined together which was a little annoying but still comfortable. The bathroom was also large with a modern design but the shower had no door. Thankfully water didn’t flow into the bathroom. We appreciated the complimentary brownies in the room. There was plenty of off-street parking and finding a spot was never a problem. Our one major gripe was the hotel was located on a busy road so you could hear traffic throughout the night. Sleeping with earplugs helped a bit but it wasn’t ideal. There’s no restaurant in the hotel but there are plenty of options relatively close by.

Everything. When we first arrived we were greeted by the Rarotongan reception and we felt at home, we felt connected, we felt welcomed, we felt belong. We enjoyed the clean, free wifi, sky, shower, toilets, kitchen etc. Unfortunately we didn't have time to explore the sauna and swimming pools. Hut overall we liked everything about our room. Near everything we needed. Surely we will recommend the Manukau Motor Lodge to anyone to stay. We will surely come back and use this hotel to stay. The cleaners were so friendly. Love the customer service. Well done and keep up the amazing work. Wish all accommodations has your way of treating the customer. Best ever!

Very pleasant motel style hotel but much nicer rooms. I got room 22 by the entrance. Bit worried about the proximity to the roads but dint hear a thing! Well provisioned facilities in the room with kitchenette and coffee making including complimentary real milk. Nice warm room. Internet limited usage and a bit quirky but no problems. Friendly helpful staff. Nice Indian restaurant over the road and Coffee Club about 200m Seay recommended by the hotel for breakfast

We contacted the hotel regarding rooms and found the owners very friendly. Arriving at the hotel it was clean and well cared for, rooms were spacious with everything clean and well maintained. During our stay we had several conversations with owners regarding where to eat dinner, where the best shopping was and they even booked a taxi the morning we had to go to the airport. We would highly recommend this motel to anyone looking at staying in Auckland close enough to the city and to the airport without all the chaos.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of this motel. Having read other reviews, we requested a room away from the main road-actually the room couldn't have been further away and we had no traffic noise from the busy road at all (note that getting out of the car park into the traffic is not for the faint hearted). The location of the motel may not suit someone looking for a central location, but it was ideal as we were passing through. It was convenient though for One/"No" Tree Hill which gave us a few hours of enjoyment following check in, strolling through the park surrounding it and climbing the hill for its views and historical importance. Location was perfect for a concert at Eden Park as the train station was a very short walk away, then a quick change at Newmarket. Our spacious bedroom had an extremely comfortable bed (king size?) and a lovely large bathroom with a bath and separate shower. Ample tea and coffee supplies provided with a fridge and kettle. We didn't need to make use of the kitchen/dining/lounge areas downstairs which are available to guests but they look great, as does the garden. The owner couldn't have been more friendly or helpful and obviously takes great pride in all the work he has done to make this a lovely place to stay. Would love to revisit someday.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Aachen House, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. This beautiful, traditional house exudes a charm that is both comforting and inviting. The spaciousness of the rooms provided a sense of freedom and relaxation, further enhanced by the exceptionally comfortable and high-quality bedding. What truly set Aachen House apart, however, were the hosts. They were incredibly welcoming, striking the perfect balance between friendliness and respecting privacy. Whether open to engaging conversations or allowing guests their space, they created a great warm feeling throughout my stay. Another highlight was the location. Situated in a lovely neighborhood, the house is conveniently close to a variety of restaurants, all within easy walking distance. This added an extra layer of convenience to my stay. Location is fantastic - easy to get into city centre, also to reach from airport. Shops and restaurants/takeaways easily walkable. Spacious room with very comfortable bed, good size bathroom. Fridge to keep breakfast items in, use of kitchen to make breakfast.

Beautiful old house with character, very well decorated inside. The room was spacious and comfortable. Linda is a very nice host. The location is very quiet and very convenient : you can park your car at the house and use the close by train station, with direct trains to downtown. Everything I needed to prepare my breakfast was available in the common kitchen. I enjoyed my stay at the Aachen house.

Lovely place to stay after our long flight back from Bali last night. Beds are so lovely and comfy, extremely clean and nicely refurbished rooms. Excellent shower pressure. Lovely kitchenette facilities. Quite. Short walk to a diary for provisions if you don't want to drive anywhere. EXCELLENT airport shuttle service. Nice and friendly welcome . This will be always my next stay if travelling overseas or staying in auckland now. will be recommending to friends.

A quaint hotel in a fabulous location. In need of a little TLC but otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and room was cosy and clean with a comfortable bed. We had dinner in the restaurant and breakfast in the tea room. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolute hidden gem. Lovely spot for a surprise birthday overnight with a spot of romance on the ferry and a very pleasant dinner on the wharf. The Esplanade is a delight and genuine Olde world charm escape. Room was spacious and very much character filled while bathroom had seen some modernisation which didn't clash but complemented the room.view was awesome with a huge window looking out to a painting like seascape from the park view. Bottled water in the fridge a nice touch and the bed was superhuge and comfortable. Room surprisingly warm considering the super height of the ceiling, good spread of television channels and very very peaceful. Amazing value for money!

Easy location from ferry and parking, wonderful character rooms and dining, quiet in evenings but roadworks outside in May2024. Views and walks on beach are lovely, restaurants/coffee bars everywhere. Several top Op shops closeby! Winter rates so stay a few days!

It's true The Esplanade Hotel has seen better days; it's a heritage building, the floors creak and windows rattle, but we never mind. We love coming back here. The location is amazing, right on the waterfront, in the heart of Devonport village with easy access to the CBD by ferry. The rooms have a faded grandeur, spacious with super high ceilings and eclectic mix of furniture. They're noticeably cleaner than they have been in recent visits (there's been a change of ownership). The restaurant is up and running again and the lounge area with its pub and cosy fire is inviting. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, really good value for money.

Property is in good shape, much nicer than previous reviews indicate. Good size rooms, full kitchen in one corner, space for luggage and small closet. Very quiet, in 5 days only heard other guests once! Restaurant on site for breakfast, ends too early at 9, and dinner. Delicious food but expensive. Staff very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to cafes in Ellerslie. Self serve guest laundry is not available, contrary to website… Outside parking free, at your door!

Our unit was really tidy and clean. We had gone to stay here as we were going to Eden Park to watch the Rugby. It was convenient and we were able to easily walk into town for a drink and easily get to the stadium. It was safe and quiet, the shower so good and the bed really really comfy and it was a great stay. We would recommend and stay again for sure. . Thank you so much

The room was amazing! It had a spa bath and the room was fitted out nicely. Very comfy bed and the lighting is great. The bonus was the lazyboy chair to sit in instead of the bed. Great security on sliding door, felt safe and had a great nights sleep. I like that you can park right outside your room on the ground floor. Breakfast was also good supplied in their onsite restaurant. Clean room and fixtures!

The parking was excellent, the location was quiet and peaceful with a lovely view from the large windows. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was very useful for cooking a meal and making toast and tea. The owner and staff were very polite and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. I was very happy there was no strong fragrance from cleaners in the room.

Great value for money as we did not need to book another room to fit us all. The room was clean and tidy, with a tv, wifi, clean bathroom and helpful staff. A wonderful bonus is the free shuttle available 24 hours- when travelling with 5 people, this was a stand out for us. It was a little cool as it is winter so the heat pump was perfect to warm the room up. This is my 2nd stay and would happily stay again when visiting Auckland!

The woman who picked us up at the airport also checked us in. She was great!! Hardworking, helpful and fun. The room was perfect; clean, comfortable. It was close to the airport and a rental car location, so it was perfect to sleep off the jetlag before grabbing a car and starting our trans-island driving trip! Would use this hotel again!

This lodge was absolutely comfy - it had everything, a full kitchen with utensils and cooking pots, great bathroom, however the toilet was a bit too low, and rooms were clean, fresh and tidy - great for families, beds were comfy. Met the owner while he was gardening very polite and pleasant man - family travelling on a budget, need to have space big enough to house 4 people, yet have all amenities, this is the place for you if you need to be close to the airport or like the South Auckland shopping vibe and cuisine. Staff were friendly even when you turned up early hours of the morning and made sure you were looked after.

We had a disabled room which was perfect for our needs. The door to the room was heavy and I explained to Brian it needed a latch as it was hard to push a wheelchair through. By the time we came back to New Zealand he had put in a hook and latch which was perfect. The bed was very comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean. The drop off and pick up service was amazing. We would definitely stay here again. The owner also advised me that if we rang and booked directly we would have gotten 14 free days parking instead of 7 through Booking.com

Have stayed here many times over the years due to its handiness to the airport. Love that we can leave our vehicle and know that it will be safe and secure. The shuttle service is fabulous - always friendly and helpful service and very little waiting around. The rooms are clean, tidy and spacious and have everything we needed for our short stay.

Stayed here for a night during the Covi Show, only a couple of KM from the location. This accommodation was only a minute from the local bottle-o, 4 minutes walk from the local Countdown and McDonalds - with many cafes and restaurants nearby. Reception was very welcoming and polite, providing quick and efficient service. The room was amazing, perfectly made beds with white-fresh linen, fully-stocked kitchenette with Sky-TV, more storage than you would need, air-conditioning and complimentary visitor-guides and even a Gideon Bible! The bathroom was a little outdated and could do with some TLC, but served our purposes perfectly and was kept to a hospital-grade of cleanliness. Free WiFi was definitely a bonus and our room had access to a personal-patio. Only improvements I would add would be adding a wall or segmentation between each room's patio for privacy, replacing the door handles (a little tired) and maybe installing an extractor fan in the shower. Otherwise, the staff were amazing and allowed us to check-out later than usual (without even having to ask). I would highly recommend this place for a comfortable, quiet and affordable stay - definitely would stay again.

Property was undergoing refurbishment, but we were informed of that and it didn't effect a weekend stay. Positives: Friendly check in. Great location for where we needed to be. Water pressure in the shower was excellent. Clean and tidy room. Sky tv and wifi in the room. Road noise/motel noise wasn't too bad. Air con was great, and easy to use. Things needing improvement: The bathroom had no extractor fan, but did have a window near the shower you could open. I felt like people could possibly see in. The tiling on the shower/bathroom floor became very slippery once you had a shower. Beds were not the best I've slept on, but were adequate. There is refurbishments going on in the downstairs units so it may be that the upper units are still to be done. Overall it was fine for a budget friendly night away with kids.

Room was spacious and clean, bed comfortable and nice shower. Although on a main road, we didn't really hear the traffic. Motel is close by to ASB showgrounds where we were heading. Also coffee shop and bus stop is very close by and supermarket about 300m down the road. Very handy for where we wanted to go. We would stay here again.

Stayed in the lodge when in Auckland. Room was clean and comfortable. Near Supermarket (Countdown) and MacDonald. Breakfast was served at a nearby cafe (within a short walking distance) and a few choices (decent breakfast). Car was park in front of the unit which was convenient for those with luggage.

The room, while not new, had an oceanic decor that made it feel fresh and cosy. Breakfast was simple and satisfying. The pool and jacuzzi were both breathtaking, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. My children had a wonderful time during our stay. Melissa, our host, was absolutely fantastic and made sure that we were comfortable throughout our visit.

A beautiful house, the location was great, in a pleasant, quiet neighbourhood, and only a 5 minutes drive into the downtown across the bridge. The pool and hot tub were magnificent, as was the view across to the city (especially beautiful at night). My son and I had a jolly good time flipping each other with the floaties provided. My husband was tired from driving around. The hot tub did an amazing job to relax him before the flight home. It was simply a fantastic end to our holiday in New Zealand. Accommodation is clean, has a bathroom with a bath, and a separate shower. There is no kitchen, but the room was well equipped with a microwave, toaster, fridge, basic cutlery, and crockery and food for breakfast. Table and chairs in room and on balcony outside, so you can eat in. We slept well. If you are looking for cheap and cheerful eatery and ATM there is a place called Pearn Crescent 5 mins drive away with oriental supermarkets, bakery and various restaurants, I love the Vietnamese one there where you can get a gigantic bowl of Pho for £8. Auckland Airport was only 40 mins drive away (no traffic), this is also a good place to stay if you want to minimise travelling to the airport before a long flight home. Melissa was a fantastic host. She is so warm and very welcoming and helpful in all respects. We left something behind, and she immediately posted it back to the UK for us. Melissa, I would like to stay again! Thank you so much for having us.

Unfortunately didn't get to meet Melissa personally but is lovely communicating via text. House is stunning and the location was perfect for us. My husband was competing in tournament in Browns Bay, so my girls and I were out doing experiences and shopping and this place was so central for us. After long trip up to Auckland from NP my youngest jumped in pool and I was dying to relax in the spa bath but unfortunately jets weren't working. Should of thrown on togs and gone out to the amazing spa outside looking over the bay but we had plans with sharks the following day and I only brought the one pair of togs. Did plan to swim Saturday but it rained bumma. Had asked for car park which we got first night and on the second we got back after dinner and our car park had been taken so had to park on street - luckily a quiet street. The king size bed is so funny massive rise in middle. First time away from home where I fell asleep straight away. So comfy - just couldn't cuddle to go to sleep but ended up being blessing as slept like a baby. Girls enjoyed their beds also. My husband enjoyed the convenience of the breakfast before his first game and the balcony would of been ideal if weather had played it's part. Would definitely stay here again.....

We loved the place. It was clean and super comfortable. Even though it was raining, that did not stop us from using the pool and hot tub. It would have been better on a sunny day, but it was still worth it. Melissa welcomed us and showed us the room. She was very lovely and communicated well. Even let us use the pool and hot tub until 11 pm just because we had a late check-in and had dinner plans. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was nice and soft. Pillows were also fluffy. Breakfast provided was sufficient. Toiletries were also provided with extra towels.

This accomodation was in perfect proximity to the hospital we were visiting and also to main transport routes, eateries etc. A very convenient location. It was great that it had parking, and a stove and microwave to cook. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful, responding to any requests. There are fruit trees behind the property, a nice bonus. It seemed clean and tidy until i did my final gear check to leave and knelt down to check if i left anything like a sock under the bed. To my horror there were other peoples socks, popcorn etc. Under the beds had not been cleaned in a long time. That was the only sad note of an otherwise pleasant stay.

The apartment was spacious and spotless. Kitchen was well equiped & with a supermarket a 2 minute drive away meant we could cook for ourselves rather than eat out. A big saving when travelling. Bed was comfortable - not too soft. Bathroom was large, clean & modern. Single ply toilet paper & loose toilet seat the only downers. There was no traffic noise even tho we were only 200-300 metres from the motorway. Phoenix Palm motel is a big plus for us.

The jacuzzi was nice and the room was alot bigger than I'm use to.

Spent a couple of pleasant nights at the City of Sails recently. Staff were very friendly and the motel was very clean and comfortable. It had all the necessary amenities in the room, but as it isn't a large motel, there was no restaurant. It is a short drive to Takapuna or Milford (where we found a nice cafe for breakfast).

Clean, tidy, comfortable and spacious unit. The room was in great condition and the staff were friendly. The location is convenient and this was great value for money. A very pleasant stay 😊

I really loved my stay. The receptionist was really lovely and very helpful too. The room was so clean and I felt so relaxed, which was very important for me after working 80+ hours last week. I was able to unwind and rest. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be staying again.

Really enjoyed our stay at the City of Sails. Friendly receptionists, pleasant to chat with and helpful. Room as tidy and clean, super cosy bed and the jetted spa was just the icing on top of the cake.

Our apartment was in a great location, within walking distance of the museum, Art Gallery, CBD shops, and restaurants by the port. You could easily get bars, shuttle to the airport, ferry and simply walk around. The neighborhood was interesting with all the 60s Music, books and vintage clothing shops as well as multi ethnic restaurants. This made up for the lack of restaurant on site. Hotel staff were very helpful and kept the room clean and tidy every single day. Reception was also polite and responsive. The beds were super comfortable and we enjoyed good quality sleep. Our tour picked us up from another hotel within a few minutes walk. We would go back anytime.

Enjoyed our stay, secure parking garage beneath the hotel was great, we just left the car there and walked around the city, mini mart right over the road for groceries and snacks, didn't mind that there was no on site restaurant, we just had breakfast in the room which had a kitchenette and fridge and ate out for lunch and dinner. Elliot Stables just on the other side of Aotea square was a great place for dinner. Beds were comfy and the shower was good, a little bit of street noise but that's to be expected when you're staying in the city, wasn't an issue.

Spacious room with all the necessary equipment to make the room enjoyable and self sufficient!! Bathroom has provided toiletries as well. Staff at desk are friendly and helpful! And every room has a balcony with a view no matter what side of the building your on!

Great place overall. Very accommodating when our flight got canceled. Comfortable beds, clean restroom, housekeepers were great, stocked coffee everyday and all staff were very friendly. The amount of noise surrounding the area was constant, people yelling(all hours of the night), actually saw a fight one morning. However, it is close to many restaurants and centrally located, walking distance to many attractions.

The location is fantastic in Auckland city centre with shops, eateries and places of interest on your doorstep. The balcony has wonderful views of the harbour so you can sit and watch the ferries and boats and people come and go. It’s a great place to have breakfast in the morning and to have a drink in the evening. The apartment is well equipped with everything you could need for your stay including a washing machine, dryer, coffee machine, hot tub and more. The shower works well and the bed is comfortable. There are little touches that make your stay special e.g. gorgeous toiletries and dressing gowns provided.

100% the view but overall the apartment itself was beautiful, love the aesthetic’s, layout and how the room was made to be a bedroom! it literally comes with everything you need and more. One of the most comfortable, spacious, enjoyable and best apartments we’ve stayed at so far here in Auckland. Look forward to booking with you again! The photos used to show this properly don’t do it justice it just really is that amazing!

View was great, with good sized balcony. Nice having the outside heater, BBQ. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies. Comfy bed. Free guaranteed underground parking is a bonus. Location also great. Was all really good. I have stayed at the Viaduct often and this is best place I have stayed. Will stay again. Host was really helpful.

We stayed 3 nights in this amazing apartment, the views of the deck were amazing it was clean and so comfortable. This place now holds a special place in our hearts as we got engaged on the deck. We will be back for sure

The apartment was great, clean and well presented. It has everything needed for a short or longer stay. Views of harbour are great, Location is excellent. Plenty of shopping, restaurants and activities within walking distance. There was a complimentary snack left for us on arrival which was a nice touch. Michelle and Chris were excellent to deal with. Very helpful and excellent communicators, they did everything they could to make our stay stress free and enjoyable.

We arrived at 03h00 and were understandably a little anxious about gaining access to our apartment, but our hosts gave absoluely clear details for collecting the keys! Unique location on Princes Wharf, within easy walking distance of the Ferry Terminal on Queens Wharf, departure point for City Tours, the Sky Tower and many food outlets including several top restaurants. Wonderful views across Auckland Harbour and towards the CBD, and an added bonus was awaking to find a cruise liner berthed no more than 25m from our balcony! Spacious apartment, clean and comfortable, with all the necessary facilities. Highly recommended and would certainly return if the opportunity arose

The location could not have been better. We were within easy walking distance to all the restaurants and sights within the CBD, as well as to the ferry terminal and the Britomart train station. The harbour views were absolutely stellar. We loved the comfy theatre seats, and we enjoyed the hot tub. The king-sized bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the USB ports in the headboard. Everything we needed for a good stay was supplied, including extra towels for the hot tub and milk for our coffee. There was a good supply of dishes, cups, and utensils. The apartment was very modern and beautifully decorated. Communication was fast whenever we had a question.

Very spacious and comfortable, *amazing* location and views, right on the harbour. Everything met expectations, well equipped. It is a very safe, secure building, right in ideal spot for a tourist visiting Auckland.

Absolutely amazing stay! The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable bed and recliner chairs. The location couldn’t have been better, making it easy to get around and enjoy everything nearby. This was truly a standout place to stay, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-quality experience.

Great location. Close to everything. Great to have a car park. Very comfortable. Very clean. Loved the hot tub on the balcony while having a drink. Thank you for the snacks provided and the coffee pods.

We arrived at the International terminal and it was easy to find the Skydrive bus stop at marker E. The bus dropped us off across the road from the hotel. We immediately received a super friendly welcome. The room included all those little details which allows me to immediately relax and focus on having fun. The bed was comfortable and the coffee machine was great. The fresh milk in the fridge was much appreciated. I loved the toiletries provided. The hotel has a gym, a coffee shop, a bar and a restaurant but we did not have time to enjoy these beautiful facilities. The breakfast was excellent. Fresh salmon with caper berries, crispy croissants, a delicious omelet, kiwi juice, yummy yogurt and good coffee. What more can you ask for? We walked from the hotel to the Viaduct area. It was an easy walk. Queens street shopping was also a short walk from the hotel. We even walked all the way to the Auckland Museum and really enjoyed the gardens and birdlife around the University. I will choose this hotel again in the future.

From the moment you pull up, you're made to feel special. Jose, who usually greets us at valet, is just amazing. He’s warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming — he always remembers us and makes the whole arrival experience feel easy and special. Honestly, he’s a standout and really sets the tone for the whole stay. The front desk staff are just as lovely. They’re super friendly and nothing ever feels like a hassle — whether it’s a late check-out or helping with local recommendations, they’re always happy to help with a smile. The rooms are spotless and really well appointed. The beds are so comfortable (like you won’t want to get out of them), and there’s a great pillow selection which is a big plus for us. Even though you're right in the city, the rooms are really quiet — perfect for winding down after a busy day. One of the best things is the easy access to all the SkyCity restaurants and the casino through the air bridge — you don’t even have to step outside. Super handy if the weather’s not great or you just want a quick bite without venturing far. We’re also Premium Rewards members and honestly, it’s so worth it. The member discounts and the specials on rooms across all their hotels can't be beat. It just adds that extra bit of value to an already awesome experience. All in all, Horizon just gets it right — every time. Great service, comfy rooms, and everything you need right at your fingertips. We are already planning our next stay.

I have now been a couple of times to Horizon by Skycity and have so impressed with the service & faculties & especially the staff. The check in & out is so easy. The front staff are always so helpful and friendly. The Bar staff were so happy and cheerful as we ordered drinks and sat in the bar area. Such a lovely space to relax. The dinning is clean and bright and fresh & the buffet breakfast was delicious. The waiting staff again so helpful and smiling. The room was beautiful & immaculate. Appreciation to the wonderful cleaners. I have to acknowledge Stephanie Park (Guest relations Executive). Stephanie is a very wonderful representation for Horizon Hotel. I was informed when the room was ready and simply was made to feel very special. Thank you.

We recently stayed at Horizon by SkyCity and loved every moment. Check-in was smooth and the staff were genuinely welcoming. Our room was spotless, stylish, and spacious, with a supremely comfortable bed and a modern bathroom featuring a fantastic rain shower—just what you need after a day in the city. The location is unbeatable. We walked to great restaurants, the waterfront, and—best of all—SkyCity Theatre for a show without needing transport. Despite being in the heart of the CBD, our room was peaceful and quiet. Horizon combines sleek design, excellent amenities, and friendly service, making it the ideal base for both entertainment and relaxation. We’ll definitely choose it again next time we’re in Auckland. Highly recommended!

Staff are so helpful and respectful. The rooms are quiet, spacious and very clean. The hotel is central to everything CBD and restaurants our fav is the Grill in-house. The food exquisite the staff exceptional…although always busy they will converse professionally friendly competently explain the menu. I love the mango apricot sorbet… it’s just such a restful quiet beautiful place to rest between feverish shopping and taking in a concerto at the cathedral next door.

Clearly the thought gone into the design and layout of the internal space open plan yet separate areas in which to dine relax and enjoy the atmosphere was very special. Outside is almost as impressive with its location enhancing its quality and design in many different ways. I went for a swim in the pool and enjoyed it immensely especially as the weather was not the best it only added to the special location open to the elements yet partly sheltered gives the sensation of being in the ocean but above the ocean with a salt water atmosphere and great relaxing areas around the pool. The gym was next to the pool which looks modern and equipped nicely with the spa sauna and steam room all located on the same floor. Was to good an opportunity to miss sitting in the hot dry sauna looking at the pink quartz wall and impressive bubbles in black marble spar.

After an incredible Onemata wine tasting, staying at the Park Hyatt Auckland was the perfect way to end the evening. I stayed in a luxuriously spacious room that is honestly almost too large for a solo traveller! The room was beautifully appointed with elegant décor, a comfortable king-size bed, and all the modern amenities you could ask for. The hotel staff were exceptionally attentive and welcoming, making the check-in and stay effortless and enjoyable. One of the highlights was waking up to stunning views of the Auckland cityscape, which added a serene and memorable touch to the experience. Park Hyatt Auckland perfectly complements a day of indulgence, whether it’s following a private wine tasting, exploring the city, or simply relaxing in style. The combination of luxurious accommodation, superb service, and breathtaking views makes it an outstanding choice for any traveller.

Fabulous place to say, VERY quiet, Clean and Tidy, Staff very welcoming, we decided on valet parking our car for $65 save searching for a park in Auckland. Room was a great size we treated ourselves to a balcony harbor room with a Bath and wow it didn't disappoint, also added in Breakfast which was delicious, and the Flat white well done as well. The hotel is just a walk over the bridge to bottom of towns huge range of Restaurants, and just a 7min walk to Commercial Bay where you can Shop if you like. We dined in the hotel Restaurant Onemata for dinner and that was lovely as well. Would love to stay again as we found it so peaceful.

Our family of four stayed for 4 nights in 2 King Harbor View Rooftop with Balcony rooms. Normally we pay for more basic rooms but given how far we traveled we decided to pay for this room class. The rooftop rooms are absolutely worth the extra money given the outdoor space and also limiting noise from upstairs guests. The rooms are spacious with a large bathroom and plenty of seating area. The hotel is new and everything still presents that way. We loved the views, the location, and the serene feeling of the decor. The gym has high ceilings and they keep it very cool which was a plus. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful in answering questions. Beau is adorable and needs to pulls more shifts….he doesn’t work enough!!! Housekeeping did a nice job. Breakfast was not included in our stayed but we ate 2 mornings at the hotel. The food was delicious and a good value if you are a big eater. We ordered a birthday cake for our daughter from the Pantry and it did not disappoint. The only area for improvement: the entry was poorly designed where the cars get trapped with no easy way for drop off and exit. Not sure how this was missed in the design process. Overall the hotel is really relaxing and a good price for what you get. It lives up to the Park Hyatt name. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The apartment was exactly as advertised and it was quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff at reception were fantastic - very helpful. The amenities inside the apartment were modern and it had everything we needed. The view onto NZ bush from our apartment was amazing.

The apartment was spotless. The beds were comfortable as the mattress was firm but not too firm. Apartment was spacious, I had ample room to play with my daughter and staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant bar beside the facility where cars arrive sometimes at moderate speed, which is not the facility carpark, if you park there watch your kids carefully.

Welcoming staff and clean facilities. The washer dryer was extremely handy, enabling a fresh supply of clothes for our ongoing journey exploring New Zealand. A request for an airer was quickly met, and the addition of a non-slip shower rmat was provided on request. Thanks to both the reception and housekeeping team for making our stay a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The air-conditioning in the lounge and bedroom was very welcome on those very warm and humid days. We hope to stay with them again on our return visit.

My spouse and I needed a new place to stay because we had a VRBO-fail. This place was such a huge, necessary, and worthwhile upgrade. Everything was amazing at this place! We loved it! Comfortable, clean, cozy, and in-unit washer/dryer was excellent. Views of forest and river were breathtaking. Good-sized fridge, dish washer, electric water kettle; it had it all! Would definitely book here again when in the area.

Lovely hotel & very well situated within the city making everything accessible. We had a hire car & had arranged for a space within the secure car park which is 3 minutes walk back to hotel once you’ve parked up. Checked in with no problem, we were given a secure car park key & directions on how to get there, it’s literally round the next block. We had read previous reviews that the car park had thefts so we brought all our luggage into hotel, no need to have done that the car park is extremely secure so we took our big cases back later. Our room was lovely, bright, very clean & a lovely big bed which had fab pillows & mattress. The breakfast in the morning was also really good. We had a $27 credit each ( breakfast is included in the price but you get a certain credit to use) we had the granola, fresh fruit & yogurt platter with chia pudding which was delicious + sourdough toast & fresh coffee. We are due back there in a few days before our flight home & really looking forward to our last night of our big holiday o this lovely hotel. Staff really friendly & welcoming too.

This place is a little gem. We were upgraded to a bigger room and found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful. Room was adorable and very clean with excellent attention to detail. Thank you Sivijana. It’s also very quiet at night so makes for a good sleep. We ate in the restaurant which was great and Nana provided wonderful service and her amazing personality. The bar is intimate and charming as is the whole place. Just can’t fault anything. The location is perfect too. We will definitely return.

After 6 weeks of travelling I decided to treat myself to a nice hotel on my last night. From the helpful and friendly staff to the most amazing bath for a very weary body, a luxurious bed and comfortable room it was well worth it. I had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and both the staff and the food were exceptional. A fabulous stay

The Reception was both welcoming and accommodating. First time to stay here but had seen photos prior. Room was exceptional, clean, quiet and wonderful. The bed was one of the comfiest we have ever slept in. House Bar relaxing. Breakfast good size portion and coffee delicious. Overall well worth the stay. We have two more trips booked, can't wait.

The Hotel Britomart is a very nice place to stay. Excellent location. Staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. The fish restaurant, Kingi, is outstanding (we ate there every night, despite there being excellent restaurants in town). The modern design is elegant, especially in the old building that includes the restaurant, bar, and reception, but also in the rooms, which are extremely attractive, clean and comfortable. The reason for four stars instead of five is that the Hotel Britomart, like so many hotels, has insufficient drawers and cupboards in which to put your belongings. So we ended up living out of our suitcases, which was inconvenient. In addition, the room temperature, shades, and lights are operated electronically, as well as, in some cases, individual light switches. The two systems compete making it difficult to get the lighting right in the bathroom or to control the lights from the bedside. Despite these shortcomings, we’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed breakfast in the Kingi restaurant, requested a small meal option and loved the chef's toasted 'Southland cheese roll' which was just perfect. Wait staff were all friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed a martini and olives in 'The libraries' each evening. Again, the staff member there was very welcoming and attentive and knew how to mix martinis! Front desk and concierge staff were helpful and friendly and helped with handling luggage for us. The fabric of the hotel, with wood, stones and exposed bricks - and a 5 star energy rating - was our reason for staying there and we were not disappointed.

Extremely clean and friendly new eco hotel. Rooms designed to win awards - sleek but counter-intuitive. Ask for a tour unless you enjoy a hunt. Charging ports and toiletry supplies are perversely concealed but fine once you find them. Light controls require an advances degree. We’ve stayed twice and enjoyed both once we figured things out. Frankly the harbor view rooms aren’t worth it IMO - quieter on the inside, smaller bathrooms are brighter than the chic but cave-like bathrooms in the ocean facing rooms (somewhat obstructed views to the working port in any event). Included breakfast nice and worth it. Many nearby restaurants/shops in immediate area and very convenient to the ferry if you’re vacationing on Waiheke Island. Staff is exceptionally friendly and thoughtful.

This was our first experience with Mr & Mrs Smith, and it was fantastic. Liz checked us in and upgraded us to a beautiful, quiet, spotless Room 502. Allen delivered our luggage and explained the room amenities- every day he greeted us with a huge smile. Loved the layout, floors, and shower. The staff also provided a complimentary bottle of wine. This hotel is absolutely stunning- especially the restaurant and Library areas. We enjoyed chatting with Alex in the Library and appreciated his restaurant suggestions: Ahi, Amano (Italian), Hello Beasty, Giapo (ice cream), and the roof top bar/restaurant at the InterContinental- all within 10mins walk. We loved this hotel and highly recommend it!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The front desk staff, Rakesh, provided excellent service. He was friendly, patient, and very helpful during check-in, answering all my questions clearly and offering useful local information. The hotel environment is clean and well-maintained, with a bright and welcoming lobby. The room was comfortable, tidy, and equipped with everything I needed. Public areas are quiet and nicely organized, creating a relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

We were shouted a stay at this awesome hotel - top floor, buffet breakfast, bottomless barista coffee and a charcuterie board with bottle of bubbles all included daily! Staff were friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Their restaurant, Beasts & Butterflies is one of the best on the waterfront and has a delicious menu with beautiful presentation and friendly service. The room itself is modern, spacious, clean and has everything you need with comfortable bed and pillows. Tv has a great range of full SKY channels and extra movies to choose from. Views across the harbour are the best around and the location is perfect - a stones throw to great shopping, restaurants and harbour tours etc. If we get to come back, we will definitely stay here again. Absolutely loved it!

We had a two night stay prior to getting on our flight home in the evening of the second day. The room was spacious and comfortable with amazing views of the harbour. The location is in the CBD so handy to everything. Some nice touches - seems silly but we really appreciated the little pocket packets of tissue as we were both recovering from colds (which seems to happen when we travel). The inclusion of breakfast really benefits travellers - just one meal you don't have to consider. We had one dinner, one lunch and two breakfasts in the restaurant. All were fine and I recommend the burrata cheese dish for a lighter lunch - it was excellent. Staff were attentive, welcoming and friendly. Had a lovely chat with Abbas in the restaurant - he made recommendations for a return visit. My only suggestion would be to consider reducing the volume of the restaurant music. We have stopped going to restaurants that have loud music - as seniors, our hearing is not as good as it used to be and the music just makes it more difficult (yes, we both have hearing aids but their use increases the interference of the music, too). Having said that, if that one small thing was corrected, we'd definitely be back.

Primarily chosen for location, MSocial was the perfect place for a weekend in Auckland. Our room was lovely, very clean and comfortable, with a great view! There was everything we needed and I loved the coffee! The staff we met were friendly and helpful, and very professional. We enjoyed cocktails on the verandah on Saturday afternoon after a morning of sightseeing and shopping. Sunday breakfast and coffee, after a late checkout completed a relaxing weekend getaway!

M Social was perfect for a post cruise stay, walkable with luggage from the Prince pier cruise terminal. The staff were friendly, and the concierge was helpful in advising us and procuring tour reservations. Many excellent restaurants and the ferry terminal were within a short walk. Dinner and breakfast at the hotel were good options and we enjoyed both. The room was clean and roomy with a large modern shower. Ours came with a beautiful view of the harbor.

The m-social is centrally located, close to so many restaurants and bars, the waterfront and the ferries. The staff were outstanding, so friendly and helpful, very attentive to your needs and quick to respond. The Buffett breakfast options were delicious and always plenty to go around. The foyer bar was a great option to meet up with fellows travellers, and share a drink or two. The bar staff did a great job, even late at night. The rooms were compact but well appointed, and the upper rooms have great water views.

I really loved the size of the room, the furnishings were modern and comfortable. The view was fantastic we could see the whole of the waitakere ranges. The soundproofing was exceptional I did not hear any other guests. The shower had great pressure. I also liked how the toilet was in a separate room. We had a great stay overall and would happily return, but a couple of small details let it down from a full 5 stars. The positives: Spacious, comfortable rooms with a super comfy bed Great location - train station at the door, and fantastic cafes and food nearby (we especially loved Browne Street and Toko's Tacos!) Friendly and helpful staff 24-hour check-in Secure, easy parking Toilet separate from the bathroom - very practical Good shower with decent pressure A few things that could be improved: Amenities were a bit stingy - just two sachets of body wash for a 3-night stay. We shower morning and night, so this barely covered day one. We expected a top-up the next day but were told rooms are only serviced every second day. That’s fine, but it would be helpful if guests were told this in advance, and/or if enough towels and toiletries were provided to cover the gap. TV placement – it can’t be seen from the bed. A swivel mount would make a big difference. Blocked bathroom sink – it drained so slowly it was basically unusable. We reported it, but unfortunately it wasn’t fixed during our stay, so we ended up brushing our teeth in the shower. These were small annoyances and easy to work around, but also easily fixable. If not for those, this would’ve been a 5-star stay.

This apartment was clean and modern, the beds comfortable and we had everything we needed for a short stay. The reception staff we met were very friendly and very helpful. We were there for a show but also for a family catch up so this was a great choice.. The apartment was also conveniently placed for getting around the central Auckland area and easy access to the motorway network .. it is around a 25 minute drive from the airport by car( non rush hour if you know Auckland at all) so if you are coming off a flight not and dont want an airport hotel then this is a good option Train and buses into central Auckland were literally on the doorstep( or a 15 minute drive on the motorway) ,the parking is free and also secure (a bonus in Auckland) and its a very short walk to a selection of takeaway places. There is a shopping mall a short drive away .. not walking distance unfortunately..but that mall has all the essentials there including a movie theatre and some good restaurants.

I would highly recommend Roomie Apartment Hotel to anyone looking for a clean; spacious place to stay; staff were so friendly and very helpful. We stayed here for 5 nights together with my sister; niece and my mother who were visiting from Brisbane. The 3 bedroom apartment, our kitchen, dinning area was exactly what we needed. My mother was very pleased; the lifts to the rooms assisted her; 24 hour security; our rooms were cleaned every second day; staff were lovely; helpful and delivered clean bath towels daily upon request. Lots of car park spaces; all under security cameras. The apartment building was perfectly placed; walking distance to local cafes; shops and then to the Sunday morning markets in Avondale. Very clean hostel setting. Common area kitchen kept very clean and well equipped with 4 hobs, 2 sinks, instant boiling water, filtered cold water and two very large reach in refrigerators. Linens and towels clean and changed upon request. Shared bathrooms are a bit dated but very clean and done every day. Staff was most accommodating and helpful. Common areas were comfortable and clean. Property feels very secure and safe. Western Park is directly behind The Verandahs back porches which also overlook downtown Auckland. Good access to public bus transit. Many local restaurants, bars, and large grocery store in easy walking distance.

Cosy hostel in a rustic terraced house. Everything clean, comfortable bed, spacious and well equipped kitchen, and comfy common spaces. Plus a nice garden in the back, overlooking the West Park, and with a view at the Sky Tower. Great location (close to Karangahape Road with bars, food joints, and small shops), some 15 mins walking distance to the CBD, and 30 mins by foot to the Wharf. Also easily accessible by bus. Efficient and helpful staff. In short, everything was great. :)

Very nice and helpful staff. There was a large kitchen for storing food, cooking, socialising. The garden is lovely and good for sitting outside to eat. We had a private room which was basic but clean and spacious. It was a little hot and stuffy but it is an old building so to be expected. It would have been good to have a couple more/larger towels but the shower was good. The bathroom was very new and clean. It was about 30 min walk down to Auckland harbour which is downhill (long uphill walk to get back). We didnt get a bus card as we were only there for 2 nights and you couldnt use cash on buses to we walked or got ubers everywhere. There are some really nice restaurants just 5 min walk away- we had dinner and breakfast nearby. It seems to be quite a trendy area. We would stay again despite it being out of town a little.

This guesthouse is a beautiful and large European-style house, situated in Western Park (Western Park is your backdoor garden). The interior is furnished and decorated in old English style, with high ceilings and ornamental moldings. It has been impeccably conserved. The place is spotless and so pleasant to just walk in and around. The dormitories are spacious and they host 3 or 4 beds max, which is perfect (not overcrowded). There is ample space for your luggages. The bathroom are spacious, clean and private. The kitchen and common living room are also fantastic (large wooden tables, huge comfy sofas, etc.). It just feels like a luxurious place to stay, for a very affordable price. I would only consider staying at this place next time (on a backpacker budget).

I stayed for 2 nights, and I wished I had stayed longer. The hotel was amazing, clean, and sophisticated. The staff were fantastic, the room was perfect, the walk-in shower with the large square shower head was heaven, and the bed was huge and super comfy. I dined in for breakfast, and the food was fresh and delicious. On request, Chris, the chef, was there to make you a yummy gourmet omelet, and Amy, your host was so friendly. The hotel is within an 8 minute walk to the Sky tower and 15 minute walk to the bustling viaduct. Perfect for me as I didn't have a car. I highly recommend it, and I will definitely stay again. It is a beautiful hotel, new and modern, centrally located. The rooms are comfortable, very nice and very clean. The bed is very comfortable, the sheets are of high quality and the pillows are very comfortable. There is a coffee machine in the room. The staff is very kind, friendly and attentive to the needs of the customers. The breakfast is very good and of high quality. Everything is perfect, and I could not have wished for anything better. If I am lucky enough to return to New Zealand, I will definitely return to this piece of paradise again.

Fabulous place to stay! The hotel is new, quiet, and very clean. The hotel room comes incredibly well stocked with things like coffee, milk, dish soap, laundry detergent which is replenished every single day. The kitchenette was very well equipped with pots and pans and spatulas and lots of dishes and glassware. Having the cleaning service each day was a bonus. The beds are so comfortable and very clean and I didn't get any allergies from dust mites which I usually do in hotels. The location is perfect as it is close to the motor way entrance (yet still totally quiet) and right across the street from BHive with multiple restaurants and coffee shops and a small grocery store. I had no issues with parking as I was given a dedicated spot underground. Will definitely be back!

After a 24 hour flight from London we thought it be a great idea to stay in this hotel for a good night eat and breakfast. I can tell you, it doesn't disappoint. Other than them not being able to find our booking straight away (which wasn't a problem) everything was superb. Staff is super nice and helpful, the room was massive, stylish, new, fresh, comfy. Last but not least the breakfast was outstanding. My husband and I have been around the world quite a bit and seen great breakfast buffets so we can't really be impressed anymore. This buffet though I must say is next level in a completely different way. The selection and the fresh food was just absolutely delicious. They even decorate their yogurt, it is absolutely amazing. We birth had an omlette made for us fresh from the cook, it was super yummy.

Did not have breakfast so no comment. Dinner on 9th floor was exceptional: staff professional but courteous, service was ok - we were ignored most of our meal - would have preferred more attention so I did not have to stand up and ask for something, stunning food off an exceptional menu. Room 316 was quiet but fridge had leaked water on the floor - informed staff when checking out. Perfect to have toilet and washing area separated. TV provided brilliant documentary on the Māori background to the design, construction and facilities offered by the hotel. A 1st prize for this! Welcoming staff upon arrival was most highly commendable: (especially Monu, + 2 “porters” whisking my suitcases to my room while I checked in - highly commendable that TWO persons did this (for security).

Loved our nights stay here. Service was excellent in all areas. Great bar manager, excellent cocktails. Our dinner at the restaurant was delicious, also great service. Our room was lovely. Very quiet, very clean and very comfortable. Definitely a great way to start off when your flight is at the crack of dawn. Highly recommend.

Only stayed in the room for 9 hours as drove into Auckland late and had to catch an International flight out early the next morning. I was meant to book the hotel next door, not even realizing this is another hotel also at the International airport. But, I'm so happy I did stay here, it's so close to all the buzz of the airport, yet felt so quiet, in its own secluded space. The room was immaculate and looked like the place has been recently refurbished or something. Everything looked new and bed was absolutely heavenly plush. I liked my view of the room, it looked into the carriage way roads around the airport and in the distance you could also see Auckland CBD I had breakfast at 5am. Definitely get this option, the food, selection and choices are incredible, it's part of the reason why I gave it 5 stars. That buffet is amazing for breakfast and one the best I have ever come across. I definitely will now make this my permanent base for checkin and checkouts for accommodation going forward. An all around excellent overnight stay positioning for an overseas flight. Booked by the ALL app. Check-in by Shayne was friendly & professional, and my Accor status was recognised proactively with a room upgrade. The Lounge and other benefits were clearly explained and an info sheet provided. The room itself was extremely clean & well presented so well done to the housekeeping team. A welcome note and bowl of lovely fresh cut fruits and additional water were very much appreciated. The room allocated looked out over terminal and apron area. The Lounge experience was excellent, with a decent drinks selection, and a suitable range of canapés. Staff were very attentive - shout out to Akram in particular who a great host. This property uses a lounge pass for entry, and given the main restaurant is adjacent this seems sensible. We didn’t eat in the main restaurant, but on leaving the Lounge it was certainly busy and the recommendation by Shayne at check-in to book was good advice. Check-out was straightforward. Best part of the stay is without a doubt the staff who are super friendly and super helpful. Ohtel is described as a “boutique” hotel and in truth it feels that way though perhaps a little like a bed and breakfast in some ways with odd design choices and a little kitschy at times such as IKEA pieces and Anko cushions. The location is around 10-15 minutes to most places such as Sky City, One Queen Street, and next to the restaurants at the Viaduct. We stayed here post cruise and it was a short enough walk. We love our balcony room which was super spacious and the air conditioning cold and powerful. The “balcony” was a huge terrace however it is one without a view nestled between 3 walls and with other room windows facing us so we didn’t utilise it. The amenities were great, bed and pillow very comfortable. Housekeeping kept everything very spotless. There is enough said by others about Ohtel’s unique bathroom and toilet design, so I won’t repeat here, but the balcony room suffer less of the problem with the bath area to the side of the room (though yes the toilet is still enclosed by only glass ha ha)

The location was great. A close walk to the waterfront with great restaurants nearby. A 10 min walk to lower Queen St and excellent shopping. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very well cooked and presented. The hotel was spacious and easy to get around. Our 2nd floor room was large with 2 balconies opening onto a quiet street. The in room tea & coffee facilities were better then most. The bed was comfortable and shower good to use. We would definitely return to this property.

This hotel is a real gem. Comfortable, clean, modern, friendly, and a great location. It’s a short walk from many quayside restaurants and in a safe area. All of the amenities of a 5* modern boutique hotel. iPad controls in room, great set-up with showers, loo, writing desk etc - you even get a little goodie bag; biodegradable toothbrush, earbuds, make-up pads etc. Great breakfast also. Very friendly staff.

We are here for 3 nights, and we love this hotel! The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The mattress and pillows are some of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on in a hotel. The breakfast is delicious. The mid-century modern decor throughout the hotel is such a refreshing change from the standard chain hotel decor. The location is great. It’s only about a 2-minute walk to the harbor and there are so many restaurants within walking distance. There is a convenience store just around the corner. It has a very nice pool. And one of the best things is the staff, particularly Luke and Angel. They are both genuinely friendly and made us feel very welcome. Whenever we are in Auckland again, we will definitely be staying here.

It was quiet and in a beautiful location - the suburb of Birkenhead is really pretty - with views to the city and a great selection of shops and restaurants. The shops and everything you need is within walking distance, including a supermarket. It's about 20 mins drive and $20 via Uber to get into Auckland City which we found the most convenient way to get around - although we also caught the ferry home from Aukland one day which was a great trip on the harbour but a bit of an uphill walk to get to the apartment.

Wow what a great place, From the minute u step in and meet the staff to being in your room is wonderful The room was so big and clean and has everything u needin them with great little kitchens and wash dryers they are super quite and with really comfortable beds The location is brilliant with so many shops and restaurants around and the area is very safe Great covered parking and amazing friendly staff (they even sweep the car park and keep that clean) I will def be going back there

Wow, this was the most PERFECT stay at the end of our long roadtrip through New Zealand. The apartment was a lot larger than what we were expecting, and the view of Auckland was a HUGE bonus! All I wanted to do was sit on that balcony with a hot cup of tea. The room was super clean, private, quiet, and provided more than what we needed. The location was also great and super safe next to a lot of restaurants and shops to walk to. 100% recommend this place!

Pleasantly surprised with this relatively nondescript-looking hotel. Location was great, with just a 10-15 min easy walk to bars & restaurants in the Viaduct area. Room was exactly as pictured on the website - nice and spacious, with views out across the city (we were on the 11th floor)...although the exterior of the windows could do with a clean, they were filthy. Room was light and the sun warmed the room nicely, plus the air con did a great job of cooling it down. The writing desk seemed a little pointless & I feel it could be replaced with nicer seating instead. Good storage cupboard for keeping luggage out of the way. Bathroom was nice and spacious and the shower was lovely - could do with a towel rail in the bathroom though...the small rack over the toilet wasn't right for keeping towels on once used. Bed was incredibly comfortable & nice to have a choice of down pillow or a regular pillow. The room was very quiet - couldn't hear any noise from adjoining rooms & barely any street noise (we were on 11th floor though).

We have just enjoyed one night at Imagine Beach Road. Our room was exactly as pictured: sparkling, clean and spacious with a great view of Downtown Auckland. Well equipped for basic self catering, the kettle, fridge and microwave were very useful. The shower was also great with plenty of hot water. The accommodation is centrally and conveniently located, but above all we must thank the welcoming, friendly and very helpful staff for their kind assistance. If we visit Auckland again, we will definitely visit Imagine Beach Road again. On top of all the positives mentioned, it also offers very good value.

I also appreciated the amenities provided – the room had a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker, which were very convenient. The bathroom was large, featuring a spacious shower cabin, which added to the overall comfort. Another huge advantage was the location. The hotel is very close to the city center, yet the area is quiet, making it a perfect place to relax after a long day. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, great amenities, and excellent location!

The balcony out back was relaxing and theres plenty of seating areas in and around outside. Enjoyed meeting the other guests during the breakfast session. There are hot and intercontinental breakfast choices. For sure everyone's food needs are well catered for. Location is great with shops, cafes and eateries only a few mins walk away. Totally recommend.

It was very cozy, had a home-like feeling. The room upstairs was quiet, spacious and clean. Welcoming drink was a nice touch, staff was great and the brekkie delicious. Would definitely recommend! Located in a hipsterish area with a lot of restaurants and bars and cute shops. The hotel is in a quiet street so the noice from the main-street didn’t bother at all.

Along with Parnell, Ponsonby is our favourite place to stay in Auckland. We stayed at the Great Ponsonby Art Hotel again this year and have no regrets. We always enjoy returning here. Parking is no problem in the hotel grounds or on the street. The small, beautifully furnished hotel offers the kind of hospitality we like most: the staff are attentive and very friendly. The service has been just perfect. This time there were three of us travelling together and we booked the penthouse room and one of the three pavilions behind the house. The balcony and garden are perfect for enjoying an aperitif or a take-away menu. If you're lucky, the odd bird will pay you a visit - this time a kingfisher was a special guest. The rooms are clean and pleasantly large. The pavilions are outfitted with new bath rooms. The cooked breakfast is a dream, just like in the good old days when there were many more B&Bs in New Zealand than there are today. Ponsonby Street has a great selection of restaurants and there is something to suit almost every palate. We were never disappointed. And last but not least Ponsonby is perfectly located for a stroll to the CBD and many sights as the Auckland Museum or the Auckland Art Gallery. We shall return.

First, the owner/staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We had to leave super early, before breakfast time, to get back to the airport and they got there early to make us breakfast. It was really sweet. The place itself is quirky and delightful. Beds are very comfortable, temperature comfortable. Shower had good pressure and was hot enough. Place was quiet at night, even though full. Location can't be beat. We walked downtown from here and it took about 30 minutes. It was a nice walk. The neighborhood has lots of food options as well as other things to do. Overall, a great stay!

The property does offer room service dining as well as discounts when guests eat at a local breakfast cafe. The lack of restaurant was not of concern to me as I prepared my meals in room. The staff I met were friendly, polite and helpful. I very much enjoyed my four-night stay in May 2025. I mentioned the noise. To be clear, my room was very quiet. Noise referred to was due to the property's location in the Central Business District, the area is quite busy with tourists, locals going to and from work, automobile traffic, etc. which one encounters when walking about the area. I recommend the CityLife Auckland.

The location is excellent - right in the heart of Auckland. Rooms were spacious, modern, sparkling clean and quiet. Beds were SO comfortable. The staff were professional, friendly, efficient and helpful. Could not fault anything about our stay and would gladly stay again!

I have been staying at CityLife for years, and loyalty is most definitely recognised. For my 6-day stay this month, I had a City Executive Suite on the 24th floor, with great views over the CBD. The staff - reception, housekeeping, everyone - are wonderfully helpful and delightful. The suite is large, with a dining table for 6, full kitchen, laundry facilities; a large bedroom; and a terrific bathroom with shower. The only minor downside is that post-Covid, the hotel closed their restaurant and bar, but now with the re-branding to Adina, there is talk of reopening both. Having said that, there is a charge-back with a local Chinese restaurant for dinner - delivered to the room - and surprisingly good. Also, the two close-by supermarkets deliver. Sure, there are terrific 'traditional' hotels in Auckland, but I love staying at CityLife - especially after returning from an overseas trip.

We loved the space of two rooms connecting with each other to cater for our children. The pool and gym was so good! Valet parking was so helpful. Staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. So happy we found this place. Location was perfect for us it was close to everything which meant we didn’t have to drive around, the kids loved walking to sky tower just around the corner. Woolworths and dinner just around the corner. It was such a good experience in the city for us wished we could stay longer.

They upgraded me to a suite with plenty of room. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room immaculate, the bed firm. The bathroom is modern and very clean. The kitchen in the room is well-equipped and spotless. The hotel has a pool and a small fitness center. It is centrally located near the bus station and everything else. It is the best hotel I stayed at during my six-week stay in New Zealand. I would stay there again.

I’m very picky about the cleanliness of a place, and this was just amazing. The owner saw our horrified faces at having to climb up stairs with suitcases and offered for us to leave them downstairs or have a slightly smaller room downstairs. we went for the latter option and we’re so pleased we did: although there was no kettle in our room, we had full access to the shared kitchen. A covered area with comfortable garden furniture ran alongside the rooms - felt really pleasant sitting out there. Friendly fellow travellers to talk to if you wanted. For dinner we literally just had to cross the road to the wonderful Mumbaiwallah restaurant… for breakfast we had a smashing apple cake type delight from the bakery just opposite. Our en-suite was completely tiled in a cream marble that you could see your reflection in - even the floor. Not often I think something is actually spotlessly clean, but this was!

So comfortable, clean and pretty. The rooms were lovely, some with balconies, but all had lovely views and outdoor area's to relax in. Perfect location for shopping and restaurants. The owner and staff were so helpful and friendly.

The Quest building in Mount Eden was a perfect location for us. The parking was easy to access; the building was modern and quiet. Our studio was clean and well-presented. It was serviced daily to a high standard. The shower was excellent and the wifi caused no problems. There was plenty of kitchen equipment, a dish washer and even laundry facilities. I liked the capsule coffee machine for guest use in the foyer. There has been a welcome upgrade to sustainable/refillable bathroom products since we last stayed in Quest accommodation.

This Quest is modern, clean and well located in Mount Eden. There are nice areas to walk close by and easy public transport to the CBD. The reception and housekeeping staff are friendly and efficient. The accommodation is quiet, well designed and includes extras such as a washing machine, clothes drier and dishwasher. The shower was excellent, as was the heat pump/air-conditioning unit. The wifi connection was good.

Location wise - not far from the motorway north / south and straightforward to get to from the airport. Long (5km+) waterfront walking path nearby. 10 minutes drive from the Botany shopping centre (supermarkets, shopping, restaurants) 7 or so nearby cafes / restaurants, several with decent food. Olea (cafe) solid for breakfast & lunch. Nearby convenience store and gas station.

Convenient located in the East Tamaki area. Great alternative to The Sebel when the Sebel is booked out. Fisher House for meals is greatly placed location which is within walking distant also Namaste for dinner also an alternative also is great.. Great location with convenient store, coffee cafe and parking outside it's doors and gas station in the same block. Room attendant service is great and the hotel carpets on the 5th floor looked and smelt new. Our room was perfect for us, bed was comfortable, heater at our control, shower pressure was beautiful, shampoo, conditioner etc and plenty of towels for our use. the kitchenette with all the necessary appliances was a bonus including our own washing machine and dryer.

My recent stay at quest highbrook was a delight. We had a wonderful stay at the intercontinental in Auckland, easily a 5 star review across the board. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was comfortable, the sheets were clean and warm, and the pillows were good. Having a spotlessly clean bed and bathroom is very important, I felt like the attention to those details were mastered. The service at this hotel was top notch as well. I get perks through my credit card, but the hotel made sure to fulfill stuff like early check in and a room upgrade, which are subject to availability of course. I was delighted to check in around 8:30am to a room overlooking the harbor. We ordered room service, which was quick and delivered with professionalism. The food at the hotel was terrific, from the breakfast buffet to the room service. All the wait staff were professional and courteous. The hotel location is perfect, right across from the ferry building and next to Queen street. It’s even attached to a mall area with a lot of shops and restaurants. You really don’t need to wonder far from the hotel for a meal or entertainment. I’m very glad I made this my hotel of choice for my stay in Auckland, and I’d highly recommend a stay here.

Every detail, from the plush bedding to the high-end amenities, was thoughtfully curated to enhance the guest experience. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at the hotel’s restaurant. The cuisine was exquisite, showcasing local ingredients with a creative twist. Breakfast was a daily delight, offering an array of gourmet options to start the day. The service throughout my stay was attentive, yet unobtrusive, ensuring that every need was met with grace and professionalism. The location is ideal—within walking distance of Auckland’s waterfront and major attractions, making it convenient to explore the vibrant city. After a day of sightseeing, the hotel’s wellness facilities, including the spa and fitness center, provided the perfect space to unwind.

Access via vehicle is very limited and ground entry is unimpressive, but straight after checkin it improves dramatically. We opted for 3 nights with lounge access , a no brainer considering the additional included value of breakfasts, afternoon teas and 2 hour evening drinks and canapés. The Harbour view room was very well appointed, bath, separate toilet, large shower and very modern fittings. Blinds, lighting, TV, audio were all controlled from touch wall switches, well organised and a breeze to use. A second TV in the room rose from a waist high room divider. Electric plugs had both USB A and USB C fittings. The bed was luxurious and pillows and bedding were super comfortable. But the key was the staff. These were the most attentive, focused and cheerful staff I’ve encountered at a 5 star chain. From checkin through concierge, cleaners, room service, bar, waiters- all focused on our needs and ever ready to assist. It takes a lot of work to get an entire staff trained and enervated like this and it showed. The lounge breakfast offering was extensive with fresh cooked a la carte options as well. The lounge experience is the best I’ve encountered at an Intercontinental, including premium wines and a choice of 3 cocktails. We stayed for an anniversary and were truly pampered. An absolute delight to stay at.

We recently stayed at the InterContinental Auckland as the first stop of our anniversary staycation—and it absolutely exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional. Every staff member we encountered made us feel genuinely welcomed. Dinner at Advieh was a true highlight—the flavors were refined, the presentation elegant, and the atmosphere cozy yet sophisticated. We also enjoyed the Club Lounge breakfast, which offered a delicious and thoughtfully curated selection; everything from the pastries to the hot dishes was top-notch. While our base room was comfortable and well-appointed, we were a little disappointed that it didn’t include a bathtub, especially for a luxury stay. Next time, we’d love to experience one of the Junior Suites, which we imagine would offer a more indulgent and spacious retreat. All in all, InterContinental Auckland delivered an unforgettable experience. We’re already looking forward to returning.

The toilet rooms were in the hallway that had sinks to wash hands. The women’s showers were separated & clean. On the ground floor where check-in is established there’s a communal kitchen & a living room type set up to eat & congregate. Down several steps is an on-site bar and casual dining area with local cuisine. Staff friendly & knowledgeable about area. After a +20 hour flight, I enjoyed my stay & would definitely return!

Beautiful eclectic interior design, love every detail of this hotel. Great location, just a few minutes walk to the viaduct where there are many restaurants. Food and drinks are good too! Staff are so friendly and very helpful. Our server from South Africa was super friendly and attentive, he made our dining experience more lively and enjoyable. The Indonesian from desk staff was so helpful in my rebooking process, he was generous to offer me a drink’s voucher in their rooftop bar. Rooftop bar has stunning view and funky vibe, DJ played great music. Our room was spacious and very comfortable beds.

The hotel is close to the waterfront and is very convenient to walk to the waterfront area without being right in the touristy area where the cruise ships park. For those that are hesitant to walk up or down hill, the property is also on a similar level to the waterfront restaurants and activities. Other activities and local restaurants are an uphill walk. Rooftop bar is great for drinks. Food is ok at best. Staff at the front desk was super pleasant and accommodating. Flights from the US arrive early in the morning and depart late afternoon. Luggage storage and changing facilities are very nice. We had a quiet balcony room. The room was clean with lots of power and usb outlets to use. Bed was comfortable. Loved the water bottle fill station on each floor. Very eco friendly and convenient. Hotel decor was vibrant and well maintained. Didn't get our welcome bottle of wine but would definitely stay here again.

Stylish and luxurious hotel with comfortable rooms and a great breakfast menu (for those who get breakfast included with their stay!). Staff were friendly and welcoming, and happy to help with our requests to borrow an umbrella, or leave our luggage beyond check out time. Bed was super comfy and room was nicely decorated with a great minibar selection, a coffee machine and kettle.

The overall stay was amazing. It's points of difference are that it's near the motorway so its easy to go to. The parking we paid for was in the building next door, 2 minutes walk away. An added bonus with the parking was that we could come and go without having to pay every time we left and returned. Great! The view we had of Victoria Park and Sky Tower lit up at night was just spectacular. There is a large supermarket and many cafes nearby which is great for our early morning coffee/breakfast runs and grocery shopping. The kitchenette has a really good oven and cook top which we used when we didn't feel like going out for a meal. The viaduct harbour is a short (5-10 minute) walk away and there are some amazing restaurant options there. There were also really fun events happening there: The 2024 "Manu" Competition, which is a type of divebomb off various platform heights into the sea with the aim of making the highest and widest splash possible. It was so much fun.

We loved the room as it was spacious, comfortable and very clean. It was serviced each day and the toiletries, etc. were refilled when necessary. The bonus in the room was the washing machine and dryer. So great for travellers. The location was perfect as it was quiet, but within walking distance to the city, to the water and to a nearby supermarket. The staff were particularly welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for them.

We stayed at this motel while celebrating a 50th birthday at the Sky Tower, and it couldn’t have been a better choice! The layout of the room was thoughtfully designed, spacious, and very comfortable. The bed was incredibly relaxing, definitely one of the most relaxed I’ve slept in, and the bathroom was hands down my favourite feature: clean, modern, and well-appointed. The location was a huge bonus. Being right in the heart of Auckland Central, we had easy access to everything we needed, from restaurants and shops to local attractions. It made exploring the city a breeze and added to the enjoyment of our special weekend. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable place to stay while enjoying the best of Auckland!

We’ve always wanted to stay here so this was a couples weekend away. We paid for 2 but only got to stay 1 because of work commitment. So we only got to enjoy all of 5hrs. Superb accommodation. Valet and all staff were super friendly and accomodating. Very welcoming! Rooms were amazing we opted for a bath in the room with a separate shower. Beds were great! Usually hotel beds are uncomfortable but we were very happy. So many restaurants at your for step and having a cobble type drive was handy as the city roads are usually crazy. They have mini bar filled small bar fridge and bed side water.

Anahid at reception was so lovely and welcoming. We had a nice chat with her and she was great at customer service. The hotel as a whole is spotless and feels luxurious. Personal favourite was the gym which is very well kitted out with free weights and big mirrors. The sauna and pool are great and clean. Fresh towels everywhere. Amazing Japanese restaurant right next door.

We booked a one night stay in this lovely, new apartment building with excellent proximity to Parnell. Our studio room had a view of the Sky Tower and CBD skyline and although overlooking the motorway, it was very quiet. Our room was immaculately clean, fresh and modern, and although compact, it was very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Staff were very welcoming, efficient and friendly. Managed to park for free on the weekend on the road which was a bonus. A lovely, relaxing night away after dinner in Parnell and great value.

The hotel allowed us to check in at 11am, 3 hrs early. They were kind enough to waive the early check in fee. Our suite was clean, modern, spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchenette had everything we needed to make sandwiches and a light breakfast. Loved the location! It’s a quick walk to the Northern Explorer Train Station and Parnell Road where you will find lots of restaurants, cafes and interesting shops. The staff were very accommodation, courteous, friendly.

Location was perfect for attending concert at Spark Arena, just minutes to walk there, and Parnell is right on the door step too. Heaps of street parking right out the front of the hotel. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Rooms were gorgeous, comfortable and well appointed. Very clean and modern. Will definitely stay here again.

A lovely, clean, and modern hotel. Being new, everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The location is great, with easy access to Spark Arena and just a $10 Uber ride to the Viaduct for the bars. We accidentally spilled sauce on the sheets, and the receptionist was quick to bring us fresh ones, even after 7pm – much appreciated!

The location is just around the corner from my office, which is convenient, and having the Parnell shops a short walk away was handy when looking for dinner options. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was also clean and cosy.

From the moment you arrive, you're warmly greeted by the porters, assisted out of your car, and your luggage is swiftly taken care of. The rooms are spotless and equipped with every amenity you could wish for. Breakfast at 8 Restaurant is an experience not to be missed. The heated pool and jacuzzi at the spa are our favorite places to unwind in the city. From arrival to departure, every moment feels truly special.

Exceptional ! Staff were the highlight . So helpful, efficient and made our stay a dream. Club Lounge is worth every penny . Didn't have to wait in the Lobby to check in , we got to skip the ques in the lobby . We were escorted to head up to Club Lounge for delish delights and check in with ease @ the Club Lounge area. Pool and spa was amazing. Temperature was Hot in the spa which is perfect in Winter and the pool a good swimming Temperature. Room was Executive Doubble Room for two mum and daughters . It was spacious with good views of Skytower, Harbour Bridge , Harakiri Gulf ocean . Club lounge. Perfect mother's break from cooking and cleaning. Highlight was the Buffet Breakfast @ 8 Resturant. Shuttle Bus : We walked from the hotel to the Ferry to catch it to Devenport. Highly recommend! Stop at the Devenport Chocolate and the Navy Muesem with kids the playground and beach was a perfect picnic spot . Then on return the Cordi Bus at Customs & Queen Street opposite H&M , outside The Bank .. the shuttle saved our sanity with tired little legs . And it was warm with a friendly bus driver . We will do this every year at least twice a year.

Treated ourselves to a night here because of location convenience. We weren't disappointed...We can't find fault with this place! From the moment we walked through the doors to the time we drove away, we felt welcomed & special. The hotel is beautiful & definitely 5 star but it is the staff who really make this hotel a real standout. They are so professional, polite but also incredibly engaging & friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the tower block - beautiful king deluxe room. Quiet, well appointed & very comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet was next level! The selection of food on offer & chefs on hand to personalise further was by far the best buffet I've seen for freshness & variety. We upgraded to the club lounge deal online & this proved to be great value for money & a quiet place to enjoy the views with 24/7 food available. Overall a 10 out of 10 & will definitely stay again.

From the moment we arrived at the valet, the service was exceptional. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman (we didn’t catch his name, but he sounded South African) who immediately made us feel welcome. He noticed we had children and that it was raining, and kindly allowed us to leave our car parked out front while we checked into our room. Once we were settled, he invited us to return to the valet to have our car properly parked, such thoughtful service! The staff in the lobby were equally wonderful - friendly, professional, and immaculately presented. Our room exceeded expectations: the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the amenities went above and beyond what we anticipated. The buffet breakfast was top tier, the variety of food was amazing. My husband, our children, and I all had an amazing sleep and a truly memorable stay. We’ll definitely be returning!

We were so comfortable and had an amazing time, we were sad to only stay one night! Really reccomend this place, will definitely be back!

Absolutely fabulous! We were greeted with pleasant aromas. Very clean. The shower had good pressure. It was also great having a washer and dryer in our room. The balcony was an added bonus as most places we looked at don't have them. The bed was comfy. The wifi was strong! There was also a convenience store next door and bars and restaurants were a short walk away. Our receptionist Camila was amazing! She walked us through everything we needed to know for our stay and had good clear and prompt communication when we were booking. We would highly recommend staying here and will definitely stay again.

Amazing location for show at the Tuning Fork, elegant entry, friendly and helpful staff, room was clean, comfortable, with balcony and laundry en-suite. It was all perfect! Also, a number of great restaurants a 10 min walk from the hotel! Would absolutely recommend to anyone interested in that area of the city!

Staff were very helpful, the room was spotless and had a well-equipped kitchenette plus a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom. It's a heritage building with high ceilings and a compact room configuration, elegant and workable but not spacious. We especially liked that it was possible to open the windows and the sliding door onto the balcony to get fresh air. No air con (it really wasn't needed) and a fan is provided for warmer weather.

The Sebel Manukau exceeded my expectations. The immaculate room featured a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee maker, toaster, fridge, and kettle—perfect for families. With its various channels, television turned our nights into enjoyable movie experiences, with Nickelodeon being a favourite. The beautiful bathroom boasted a spacious double showerhead and thoughtful amenities like body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, and shaver—small details that enhanced our stay. From our room, we enjoyed stunning views of the Dew Drop Centre and the temple on the hill. The beds were warm and cozy, with high-quality pillows ensuring restful nights. The inbuilt AC/heater system added comfort, and the provided robes and slippers felt luxurious. The complimentary Wi-Fi and a diverse buffet breakfast—ranging from hot dishes to fresh fruit—made for a delightful start to each day. It was located within walking distance of attractions like Rainbow's End and Westfield shopping mall, and with nearby dining options, convenience was abundant. The staff, whose kindness and attentiveness made our stay memorable, made us feel at home. They were always ready to assist and greet us warmly.

I stayed for 5 nights the first time, as a platinum plus member of Accor the rooms are usually upgraded to the next level of room if available. I think there was a mixup after speaking with the lovely staff at reception they upgraded my room to a suite. The room was spacious and clean. The shower was spacious and there was premium shampoo and body wash. I normally rate high if the iron and board are quality and both didn't disappoint. Tea and coffee was also premium with nescafe capsules, instant coffee and premium teas. The free wine, water and items in the fridge were appreciated. The staff were very friendly and a credit to the hotel. I returned a week or so later and the room I got given far exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel and the restaurant attached gives the discount if you have an Accor plus account. 5*

The staff right from the concierge on arrival was extremely professional, in welcoming us to The Sebel. The room we had was fabulously spacious, spotless and clean. The room could not be faulted in any respect. Room service was brilliant and we did not have to wait long for the service to arrive. Upon departure we did not have to pay extra for parking or mini bar. I would personally give your hotel a five star rating. As a professional couple we were very impressed with the hotel on the whole and would recommend the Sebel to friends and family. The room we had was on the 6th floor overlooking Manukau City it was brilliant. Thank you so much our stay was perfect.

Great location, just across the pedestrian crossing from Auckland International Airport. Hotel location was perfect for that early morning check-in/flight. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful, despite being opposite the airport & having other guests coming and going . Spacious room and bed was very comfortable. Location was great as it was very accessible to restaurants, shops, parks, casino and art gallery. It has it’s own very safe parking space but with a fee. The room was very spacious, clean and quiet that has a kitchen and laundry facilities like washer and dryer which was great. Bed and pillows were really comfortable, we really had a good night’s rest. Our room has a nice view of Auckland CBD and the sea. Elevator was fast and the hotel has it’s own swimming pool, spa pool, sauna and gym. Wish they have a very good exhaust on their swimming area as the smell of chlorine was really strong, you will smell it the moment you went out of the elevator on the 8th floor where the pool area was located. Their receptionist were friendly and accomodating. We would love to come back again.

I had to the most amazing stay over the weekend at Avani residence. Front desk service was excellent and efficient. The building is beautiful with high ceilings and modern rooms. The view of the harbour and Auckland city from the 27th floor was spectacular. They have a swimming pool/spa/sauna opened from 6am-11PM. Room was spacious and clean. Location was great. Walkable distance to some amazing restaurants. I will definitely be back for a longer stay next time. Highly recommend.

Room service was available which was very convenient. The included buffet breakfast was much appreciated. My only negative being the yoghurt in the buffet breakfast is put in large, open bowls with a spoon, to help yourself. My concern would be possible cross contamination if someone, perhaps a child potentially licked the spoon and returned it to the bowl. Individual yoghurt pots would be preferable. But overall, very happy with our Manha stay.

The room was impeccably clean, comfortable, quiet and peaceful and had everything I needed. Staff were friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast was simple but good and even included hot options. Check in was welcoming and straight-forward and check out was easy. The bed was super comfortable - the whole room was the perfect size for us. Absolutely LOVED the washing machine & dryer in the bathroom. The shower was so good! Loved the lip around the shower so the water couldn't go out to the rest of the bathroom (Hamilton Quest should take notes). Kitchen was good, had everything we needed. Fridge was nice and big - the actual hotel itself is situated in such a nice area, you have sals just outside and then more food stores around the corner in walkable distance - the city isn't too far away, the room we had, had a small balcony with a view of the sky tower. Just overall, such a good stay. Definitely coming to stay here again if we're staying in auckland.

Perfect stay here. The manager at reception was so obliging and helpful and really welcoming. Our room was spotless and modern the bed was super comfortable and the shower had great pressure. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great location down a quiet side street and literally only steps away from a range of cafes, restaurants and shops. Handy to CBD and Spark Arena. Room was comfortable, clean and what I expected. Full kitchen was so handy. Easy check-in and check-out. Staff were all friendly and very helpful.

My room had a washing machine and clothes dryer which was extremely helpful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the Netflix app on the TVs didn't work - I contacted Netflix support and they told me it was an issue with the TV - said it needed an app update, so I didn't get to watch Netflix during my stay. Apart from that, it was an enjoyable stay and I would stay again.

Location was good, next to restaurants and bars and shops. Useful information provided in the apartment. Great being able to do laundry for free! Lovely spacious and clean room. Well equipped kitchenette. Bathroom was also nice! Lovely staff, really helpful and friendly.

Location was great, close to restaurants and short walk to Westfield. Had a nice view of the Auckland Museum. Room was quiet and allowed for open windows and small juliet balcony. Kitchenette was good for making light meals. Easy undercover parking at additional cost per day. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Perfect location — walking distance to the mall, with restaurants literally right across the apartment. It was quiet inside the room despite being in a busy area. The beds were spacious and super comfy, and we had a great night’s sleep. Pillows were soft and fluffy, and the bathroom was spotless, looked new, and had no drainage smell (unlike some other places we’ve stayed).

Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was great, very quiet. The shower could do with an upgrade (shower over bath with shower curtain) but overall the stay was excellent and we would definitely stay here again the next time we travelled to the area.
