Comfortable 2 night stay. Room was a good size with a nice bathroom / shower. Range of toiletries included. Room was clean and fresh. Bed was comfortable. Fairly quiet most of the time. We had a downstairs room close to the entrance area / bar etc. It was a bit off putting to be staring into the back of houses and a path at the back. The grassy area at the back also had litter strewn about. Room was very warm and the room only had one small window to open. Facilities overall in the room were fine for a short stay. A fridge would have been good to have. The hotel is modern with an impressive reception area / bar area. All the staff we encountered were professional, mannerly and helpful. Keen to make your stay enjoyable. The buffet breakfast was good. A good range of hot and cold food. Areas were kept well stocked. There were a number of coach trips staying in the hotel when we were there so this made areas very busy at times. There is plenty of on site parking. Overall a good stay. I find the location surrounded by flats and houses a bit off putting especially being overlooked at the back. If we returned I’d prefer a room at the front and on a higher floor.

Room was clean, tidy and very spacious. Beds were not the most comfortable, mattress was pretty hard. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast on first morning was excellent Second morning very long wait for most breakfast items to be available. Cups for tea / coffee were dirty and coffee was cold. So disappointing for breakfast in comparison to previous stays at this hotel

Before arriving i contacted the Hotel regarding my mobility problem and they very kindly gave me a ground floor room. The 2 course dinner deal was excellent value for money. My wife's fish and chips was huge. My steak pie was also delicious. The Manager in charge of the restaurant and her staff were very polite and very attentive. The decor in the restaurant and bar area are very modern. The room was big and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We have stayed here before and won't hesitate to stay again.

Travelled with partner and a dog so had booked the dog friendly room. There are very strict rules about the dog which were set out really clearly at time of booking and none caused a problem. The room was spotless with lino flooring which is good if there are muddy paws. It was a long way from reception but ther side doors were open for quick walkies. The food was really great, because of the dog we could not eat in the restaurant but there was plenty of space in the lounge and they had very nice booths. Eating in the bar meant a shorter menu but i had fantastic tapas and my husband had a tasty pizza. It was a bit more awkward getting breakfast in the morning, again we were in the bar but getting breakfast required trooping back an forth with items (no trays) so i couldnt say it was leisurely and relaxing but the food was excellent.

We stayed for one night before catching the ferry from Troon to Brodick. It is perfect for our needs. The family room is big (2 double and 1 single bed). The hotel foyer is welcoming and staff are friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant and food is very good. The buffet breakfast has a good selection of hot and continental food. There was also a wedding party and 80th birthday celebration when we arrived. We thought it will be a noisy night. We didn’t hear a thing.

The room we stayed in was an attic room on the top floor with an amazing view overlooking the sea, it was clean and tastefully decorated. The bathroom had a lovely jacuzzi bath. The complimentary homemade shortbread biscuits were to die for! The host was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was plentiful, freshly cooked to order and choice was superb.

Fabulous room, we were in room 6 . although it was a warm week we had a fabulous cool room with x 3 windows which were sky lights. we didn’t have to switch on the fan at all. There were lovely personal touches like home made short bread, sweeties, a gorgeous garden to sit in. There is a fridge in the room. Nothing was too much trouble for Jan the hostess. it was very clean, we had our own Jacuzzi bath. lovely holiday near all beach amenities. well done Jan, we will be back xxx ❤️ Dean & Chrissy xxx ❤️

Honestly the best accommodation I have stayed in. There was so many pluses to this stay I dont know where to start. Lets start with Jan the host she was so lovely and helpful nothing was to much trouble. The room was very spotlessly clean as was the rest of the bnb. The breakfast was the best breakfast my husband had ever had, it was very tasty and lots to choose from, the home made jams were just amazing. The bed was super comfy best sleep we have had in a long time. The homemade shortbread in the room to go with your tea and coffee was to die for. Honestly as someone that normally books chain hotels staying here reminded me of all the little touches a bnb offers that i have been missing out on. The room had a fridge with bottled water and bottled milk for tea. It is very near the beach, shops and restaurants and Jan provided a parking permit that meant we could park right outside on the steet. When ever I am back in Ayr I will be trying to book this hidden gem.

Annie is the most amazing, kind, generous host, nothing is too much trouble. Absolutely gorgeous house in beautiful grounds and countryside. A luxury stay, we had a beautiful room, the waterbed was amazing my husband after being skeptical is now a complete convert, jacuzzi bath and our own private garden and hot tub. Dressing gown and slippers, Prosecco in the fridge and other welcome gifts. Breakfast was made to order at a time of our choice and served in the most beautiful kitchen. We were made to feel welcome and very quickly relaxed. This is a hidden gem not to be missed we will be recommending to everyone and hope to visit again soon.

This is a 5 star plus experience, it is truly amazing. What can I say Annie is the most amazing host, she goes out her way to help and assist with any of your needs, I did feel like I was part of the family. I will definitely recommend this accommodation simply fabulous. The accommodation has a water bed! Had my doubts but it was amazing had a great sleep. The whole accommodation oozes luxury, lots of quirky bits which I love as this makes it very interesting. Breakfast was fab, exceptional choices of cereals, fruit, etc and also hot cooked breakfast made to order by Annie, which was excellent and plenty of choice. The grounds are lovely, there are two hot tubs, unfortunately we did not get the opportunity of using due to the wet July weather, but look forward to using on a return visit. We stayed 2 nights met a lovely family from South Africa we were all there for the Open golf in Troon. Very friendly indeed. Annie recommended the Clock Tower restaurant for dinner, which is on the Estate and it did not disappoint, the restaurant was lovely, staff all friendly, food delicious and very reasonable, would recommend. Will definitely return as it was a truly an great experience, thanks for everything Annie.

Thee most beautiful house, gardens and surrounding area in Auchincruive. Our room was large with tiled floors, waterbed and sofa area. It had large wardrobes, slippers gowns fridge and a complimentary tray containing tea, coffee, tunnocks, water and bottle of prosecco. We were gifted toiletries of amazing quality,so thoughtful. The bathroom had a spa bath. We had our own patio, garden area and hot tub. Beautiful well maintained garden area with 3 seating areas. Breakfast is served in the most luxurious kitchen area. Cooked fresh to your specification and presented professionally. The seating area to eat is outstanding. Now to Annie, the host. Her welcoming,warm and professional manner is what makes the stay the intimate, individual experience. Her attention to detail is excellent, she has thought of everything to make your stay the retreat experience. She caters to your every whim. She is a special lady. Overall an outstanding stay.

Lovely location; sufficiently nestled away from any main roads so that the only sounds you could here were the river running beside the property and the cows (mooo!). The property was amazing; very modern, clean and comfortable. The proprietress Annie was fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. A great breakfast was also provided. I would highly recommend this B&B and we will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Annie was absolutely lovely and we had the best time from the comfort of the water bed to the beautiful private garden with the hot tub everything was absolutely perfect, we had a lovely breakfast and lovely chat with Annie , she was the perfect host, she definitely has thought of everything to make your stay perfect, I wasn't feeling that good on the Saturday afternoon with a sore stomache and there was even a hot water bottle in our linen closet in our room which helped greatly, We would definitely recommend and we will definitely be going back , we had an amazing chilled weekend, it's a stunning place views beautiful, u cant help but relax , Thankyou Annie and wee will see you soon xxx

We stayed in room 8 for one night to celebrate my birthday. Comfortable, relaxing stay. Spotlessly clean. Had a nice view of the marina. Gordon at reception was welcoming and friendly. Went to Scott’s restaurant next door for delicious lunch and breakfast.

My appartment was beautiful , clean and very comfortable. The location is quiet with the beautiful views into yatch harbour, There is a restaurant upstairs that is always busy and advisable to book ahead. The staff are efficient, yet relaxed and friendly. The place is ideal for a quiet restful break away. The town centre and beach are not too far away, if you enjoy a walk and 10 min in the car. Overall. Highly recommended.

Perfect location for me. I am not very mobile so like a restaurant within yards in case that's all I can manage. I did make it out both nights (3idiots and Harbour Bar) and used Scotts for breakfast (all great places). I had found these places online myself and when we arrived the staff confirmed they were nice (and not too far). The room/apartment itself was lovely, just as advertised. You could indeed look out at the marina (some days I can't leave the house so a view is really appreciated) and we watched all the comings and goings for a while from inside (too cold for the balcony). It was very nicely decorated and had everything that other places sometimes get wrong (like full length mirror, a dressing table, good hairdryer) and lots of tea/coffee, etc which is rare and I usually take some just in case but trust me you don't need anything. They even left some still water and wee bottles of prosecco in the fridge which was a lovely touch. I spotted salt and pepper just as we were leaving and that's unheard of in my experience. Can't think of a thing to complain about (not like me!). We would come back here.

It was lovely and quiet. The apartment was spotless. Beds were very comfortable. It had everything that you could possibly need. Microwave & hob plenty of cutlery and dinnerware, mugs, wine & champagne glasses Shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and hand cream. Tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, crisps and water in the fridge. The towels were super fluffy and a special mention to housekeeping Evelyn who provided extra towels for us. Scott's restaurant was just upstairs and provided breakfast lunch and dinner if you didn't want to cook.

Beautiful, comfortable accommodation. Dog friendly with an outdoor shower with warm water to rinse the dog or even your boots off before returning to your apartment. Scotts restaurant (not part of the accommodation) is right on your doorstep so perfect for dining. Lots of nearby dog friendly places to eat (Scott's is not dog friendly). Highly recommended.

Lovely modern decor in a clean and spacious room. Bed was very comfy. There were snacks and tea/coffee in the room on arrival. Seemless check-in and good open contact with hosts. House was very quiet and clean with a good choice of breakfast at a reasonable price. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

SMS and email after 12pm to let us know room is ready. This is despite the room available from 4pm. Informed of how to check in and this was simple and effective.a lovely B&B in the heart of where we wanted to be. Owners were friendly, attentive and always available if you needed them.They really made us feel comfortable. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They were lovely to chat to too, Very knowledgeable about the area and learned about their family news. They were also interested in our visit. It was nice they recalled us from a visit a year ago. The amenities were great, kids loved having their own space and were delighted with the sweet touch of treats left for each of them. We enjoyed having the top floor to ourselves. Rooms were quiet and we all had a great, comfortable sleep. Breakfast was also outstanding! So much on offer. Meat produce was locally sourced and was delicious, also cooked exceptionally. The room was cleaned to a high standard and truly enjoyed our stay. They also recommend a Thai restaurant nearby to eat for dinner and also did not disappoint Book here, you will enjoy your stay

Everything about Beechwood was great from the self-check in (although Shona was there to meet us) to the breakfast (available on request). They had thought about everything we might need in the room and nothing was too much trouble. We were also able to use the very comfortable lounge where there was also fresh milk and ice available if required. The room was large and very comfy with a super cosy duvet, seating and tea/coffee making. David and Shona also made us a great breakfast which was excellent value and made lots of recommendations for local attractions and were happy to help in any way they could.

I booked an ensuite room at Beechwood the night before a wedding I was photographing locally. I'll be honest, it was a last minute booking and I didn't really do much research but I was really impressed with my stay here. The room was very cosy and comfortable, beautifully prepared with everything I needed. Modern bathroom and an incredibly comfortable bed. The house was quiet and welcoming. I actually wish I could have stayed for a bit longer to taste the breakfast! Thanks for my stay :)

The room was perfect for me and my kids, beds were comfy and room spotless. Had a full Scottish breakfast (amazing) and a pot of fresh leaf tea. Kids had cereal, toast and a croissant which they loved. Staff were very friendly too, will definitely stay again!

Our second visit and again it was wonderful. We stayed in the spacious and very comfortable Donovan Suite - real home from home. Lovely views over the garden and towards the coast. Very comfortable bed, cosy room with lots of lovely features. Wonderful hospitality tray. Beautiful old house wonderfully restored. Calming and relaxing dining-room with fabulous choice of breakfast, cooked to perfection. A splendid guest lounge overlooking the grounds just the place to sit and unwind. This property is in a quiet location but with the towns of Troon, Prestwick and Ayr on your doorstop its ideal for exploring the surrounding area whilst being a place of relaxation and comfort. This is the place to stay in the area and if you are a golfer this will be ideal for you with lots of courses within easy reach. You will be looked after really well by Elaine who is very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

This a stunning house in a stunning location. We were attending a wedding close by, so we only stayed one night, unfortunately, we would like it to have been a longer stay. Elaine gave us a very warm welcome and showed us to a beautiful room with amazing views, where we had a lovely sea view and Alpacas in the field. Elaine was very attentive at breakfast, there was a great choice of fresh fruit, cereals etc and we were served a delicious cooked breakfast. The breakfast menu was extensive. Elaine also served us hot croissants with our coffee. I would highly recommend Sandhills House and we would like to return for a longer stay.

Everything! Beautiful country house, set in grounds with a lovely garden, horses, hens & a friendly llama! Very comfortable cosy room, exceptional attention to detail eg bathrobes, good quality toiletries, Tunnock’s teacakes. Our room had as lovely view over the golf course to the sea. Delicious breakfast including freshly baked croissants and eggs laid by hens kept in the grounds. Our host was very welcoming, helpful & friendly.

We were more than pleased with our stay at Sandhill house. The owners, Peter and Elaine put their person touch into this lovely place that made us feel so welcome. The property was very well maintained with even more improvements in the works outside. The interior spaces were clean, nicely decorated, very comfortable, and inviting. The bathroom was quite large as was the sleeping area. We definitely did not feel cramped and had room for our various travel belongings. I especially enjoyed the very thoughtful "welcome" amenities such as tea condiments and glasses for wine; so nice that I felt quite pampered. Our room has a magnificent view of Toon and the sunset. It was also a very fun stay as we were well entertained by their friendly llama, Duke, and cute highland pony. Lastly, we enjoyed our classic Scottish breakfast in a nicely presented and elegant dining area and table setting. What more can I say? It was one of our favorite stays over the course of 3 weeks. Oh, and don't miss a meal at the very close Piersland Restaurant - we had an excellent meal there and service superb (book ahead).

Amazing stay. We loved everything about it. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. The grounds are beautiful. Staff were very friendly and attentive and breakfast was delicious. Just wish we could have stayed for longer! We will be back.

Getting a call from the owner in the afternoon to check what time we would be arriving was a lovely touch and made our welcome seem even warmer when we arrived. When we arrived nothing seemed too much trouble and even offered suggestions for places to eat and also directions to the venue we were attending for a party. The room itself was very clean and homely and very modern. The bed was HUGE and extremely comfortable. Shower in the morning was very powerful and very cosy. The heat in the room was perfect on arrival and we were even told how to make adjustments if needed. Free wifi was a great added bonus and also tea/coffee making facilities were a nice touch.

Our visit was part of a motorcycle tour, which required secure parking for two motorcycles. After a long and tiring journey, we were greeted on arrival by John, who was immediately friendly, welcoming and informative, taking the time to show us our rooms and explain the geography of the town. The rooms were immaculately clean and well appointed, with a surprisingly large bed and a shower that was hot and powerful, a must for any motorcyclist. The property was situated within easy walking distance to the town centre, shops, restaurants and bars as well as a very clean beach.

A very comfortable and spacious room with a good size en suite with a large shower. The room was immaculately clean. Location is a 5 minute walk from the beach and only a few minutes walk to shops, bars, restaurants etc. John was the perfect host and responded to questions before my arrival.

Exceptionally clean rooms on the ground floor in the courtyard, the door to each room opens to the courtyard. All new furnishings and finishes, nice sheets, plank floors (no carpet). Rooms have excellent lighting and also are pleasant and bright during the day due to large windows. The location is convenient, just minutes' walk from the train station, the beach & esplanade, and shops and restaurants. Proprietors were friendly and accommodating, good communication and easy to get in touch with. The room was also exceptionally quiet and snug - like a cocoon- I never heard another guest or street traffic over a stay of several days. I stayed during Storm Amy and barely noticed the wind outside, there were no drafts - actually it's surprising how comfortable the room stayed even without having the heat on (compared to other guest houses I have stayed in in Ayr, which are often on the chilly side for me). I guess it must be the thick walls & insulated windows and a good renovation? I also appreciated that the room was sufficiently dark at night; the courtyard lights are not on all night (they're activated by motion) & the room has good blackout curtains.

Although the main room was quite small it was well laid out was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The shower room was bright and spacious and the kitchen area had tea and coffee making facilities as well as a small sink and fridge. Everywhere was scrupulously clean. It was an easy walk to town and beach from here and had private parking. The owners were delightful and very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We travelled up to Ayr for a bereavement which was a long journey, and challenging emotionally. Our stay at Barnes Accommodations was lovely. Fuss free check-in, parking permit provided. I somewhat thought their was a kitchenette in the room, I probably misread the description - there is however one kitchen accessible for all guests. We didn’t have much of a need for one anyhow, and, had we stayed longer, sharing it would have been fine. It was well equipped and spotless, plus we never saw or heard anyone during our stay. I love Scottish properties and this one did not disappoint! Lovely bright room, modern and tastefully decorated, big windows, high ceilings. The room was spotless, and smelt amazing. Simple tea coffee making facilities with a sweet little tea cake on arrival, bathrobes and slippers, small but immaculate little shower room/toilet with toiletries provided! Good size flat screen TV, free guest wifi, and, despite the slightly squeaky bed frame, the mattress and pillows were super comfy and we slept very well. The place was in a lovely residential area, so fairly central without all the street noises, and a ten min walk to the beach and café. If we ever return to Ayr, this will be our chosen place to stay. Excellent place to stay, room was fantastic had everything you needed and more. Was very comfortable and relaxing. The place was very clean and felt a bit like a home away from home. The shared kitchen was spotless and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy and they fulfilled the extra requests we asked for without any trouble. Met the owner before we left, he was very friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay again. Thank you for hospitality.

This was a really bright, airy, comfortable room on the ground floor looking out onto the quiet street where I could see my own car safely parked with the permit provided by the owner at my request. All messages sent by me re my one - night stay were responded to almost immediately and detailed check in and check out instructions were provided so that I knew exactly what to do. The bed was very comfy and the en - suite shower was great, too. I think there was someone else in another room but I heard no noise whatsoever from them or the street and got a great night's sleep. I didn't use any of the additional kitchen facilities (so don't feel I can comment on them) but had a delicious breakfast at Café 51, which had been recommended by the property owners. I would definitely stay here again, and, now that I know how everything works, I might even cook my own breakfast!

Situated in a quiet street only a few minutes walk from the town centre and the seafront. Room was spotlessly clean and very well furnished. Bed was super comfy. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with a mini fridge with water and fresh milk. There was also use of the shared kitchen, dining room and rear patio. Shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. Check in and out process was contactless and very easy. Would highly recommend.

Very friendly owners. Charming building with clean and inviting rooms. Communal area very well thought out. Great wifi. I recommend the delicious cooked breakfast. Easy access to town center and convenient to drive to from Glasgow. I can recommend any Japanese tourists to come and stay.

The hotel is beautiful, quietly opulent and very comfortable. We travelled as a family so we booked two rooms in "the lodge" to ensure we were close to each other. Our rooms were part of a little row quite close to the entrance. We didn't hear any road noise so the proximity to the road wasn't a problem. The room was very comfortable, as was the bed and the pillows. Initially we were quite cold but we travelled during a particularly warm spell in April and the central heating wasn't switched on. The room wasn't getting any natural sunlight so the room wasn't benefitting from the outside sunshine. The staff very kindly turned the heating on for us as one of our family members was recuperating from an illness and once on, the room was very very comfortable. We ate dinner in the hotel on the first night and it was beautiful. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helped us with our menu choices. We had breakfast on both mornings and again, the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. There was a selection of cooked and continental breakfasts. The venue for breakfast is the garden room and it was a beautiful setting. We had glorious weather while we were there and the sunshine beamed in creating a lovely ambience in the room.

We stayed in a standard sized room in the main hotel (10). It was quite a small room but decorated to a very standard and had everything you need. One complaint the overhead shower was really slow and had no smaller shower head. The shower is over the bath so you have the option of a bath rather than a shower. Evening meal was delicious. We ate in the bar area as we forgot to book the restaurant. Breakfast also cooked to a high standard. All in all a very nice hotel with friendly helpful staff snd and a beautiful garden.

I have written a review about this establishment previously as we stay whenever we are in the area for the horse racing at Ayr. However, since our recent visit, I feel compelled to write another review. I absolutely love everything about this place. Even the word ‘perfect’ doesn’t quite cut it. What do I love? All the staff are welcoming, kind, friendly etc… The rooms have lots of storage, a bath and shower and are exceptionally clean. Bottled water, tea/coffee & biscuits are provided. Lots of sockets and good lighting. All food served is as good, if not better than other hotels. The Walker lounge is a relaxing and cosy environment, with real fires. The grounds are impeccable and maintained very well. The hotel is opposite Troon golf course and is also close to the sea so ideal for a walk. I could go on and on… Basically, I cannot recommend this place enough. Well done to everyone who makes this place special as it is obviously a huge team effort.

Just spent another lovely overnight at Piersland House Hotel and it felt like home from home. We were allocated our favourite Mews Cottage which was, as always, spotlessly clean and welcoming. From pre dinner drinks in the warm and friendly lounge bar to dinner in the beautiful dining room it was an absolute treat, we were made to feel welcome by Martin and Andrea and the dining room staff worked smoothly and efficiently, the food was excellent and plentiful. Breakfast was another delight courtesy of Margaret and Christina, delicious food in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Can't wait to return.

We loved the room size and decor.The checkin was quick the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was cold buffet and hot served breakfast which was very tasty. We also had dinner from the A la carte menu - scallops and black pudding and prawns with mango to start followed by sole and peppercorn beef - all was delicious.served in a busy but lovely restaurant setting.

Nick is a great host ! When we stay in Irvine his property’s are always our first choice. They are modern, clean, comfortable, affordable and close to the town centre. Nick responds almost instantly and is very accommodating if you need to send via PayPal or add extra days to your stay. We love the self check in as we arrive late sometimes so this is perfect for us. We have also booked last minute late at night and Nick has sent us the code over promptly ! Lisa who helps clean the property is also kind and helpful. Thanks again for providing a great service 😃💫

The guest house was lovely. Very clean and modern. The communication between mysent and Nick was great especially asking for a room on the ground floor for my dad and his partner due to their mobility. The bed was super comfy with lovely bedding and great pillows. Theres a cute wee ironing board. Only thing we found was the noise from the traffic. It is cery central for shops, bars, restaurants and taxi rank if needed. I would certainly recommend this gyest house and if i fancy another wee stay i would book again in a heartbeat.

Fabulous little guest house, very modern and has a really cosy feel to it, comfy bed and fluffy towels in the bathroom. Amazing shower and the whole place is immaculate. No bar or resturant but lots of places to eat and takeaways nearby. Will definitely be back.

Lovely guest house. Tea coffee and biscuits. Iron and ironing board plus hairdryer. Comfortable bed very clean and good to have an ensuite. Shower was lovely and warm. Housekeeper very friendly and anything you needed you only had to ask.

The hotel and grounds were lovely, an amazing situation directly next to the racecourse. The restaurant was well staffed with attentive and friendly waiters, fantastic food, drinks and a relaxing bar lounge to head to after with our drinks. Our courtyard room although basic, was very clean, stocked with toiletries, towels, robe and slippers. A table and two comfy chairs were ideal for relaxing and for enjoying the breakfast served to our room. Ideal overlooking the racecourse and we had a super comfortable sleep. Overall a wonderful stay!

This is a lovely hotel with beautiful gardens and extremely helpful staff. We stayed the night here to break the journey on the way to the ferry the next morning. The bed was extremely comfortable. We were provided with a kettle and tea and coffee and a bottle of water. Fresh milk and ice were avaialble on request and were provided extremly quickly when we requested them. We had a delicious breakfast buffet, the staff at breakfast were extremely helpful. One waitress filled my chilli's bottle with ice cold water and asked me to check that I was happy with the temperature. We hope to return in future.

The hotel was perfect in every way. We were upgraded to the ensuite which looked out onto the racecourse paddock, it was fantastic. The hotel was clean and the staff were welcoming from the moment we entered the reception. We ate in the restaurant that night and our meal was one of the best I've had in recent years, compliments to the chef. The staff were so attentive both at our meal and at breakfast. I could not fault one little thing in our stay. Looking forward to our next stay. Exceptional.

The breakfast was really excellent The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The room was beautifully presented, comfortable and well equipped. We had dinner in the restaurant on one of the evenings we were there - the food was exceptional and the service was excellent.

The room we had was in one of the adjacent buildings. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff in the main hotel were very cheery and attentive. The main hotel building is very nice indeed and is very well maintained. The breakfast was buffet with the option to have other choices prepared, all very nice. The hotel had lovely grounds which were also well maintained. We walked in to Ayr centre jn the evening which only took about 20 mins.

Lovely sea view from our room. Staff helpful and friendly. Martin on the door helpful throughout our stay, taking our cases to the room, giving directions for walking. Friendly without being intrusive. Excellent breakfast, with plenty of choice. Swimming pool had windows looking out to the sea. Steam room recently upgraded. Jacuzzi pleasant.

Another wonderful stay at the beautiful Marine Hotel in lovely Troon. We were welcomed by Megan at reception who was efficient and friendly. Also Lynn who dealt with our checking out. Our room was fantastic with great views over the golf course. The room was clean, as you’d expect, with a very comfortable bed. The leisure facilities were clean. Concierge Martin was very friendly and helpful. Nothing was a bother. The breakfast was great. A very good choice of food. Service was quick. The staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast served with a smile 😊 This hotel is just a great place to stay from its beautiful surroundings inside to the views overlooking the golf course and sea views. It’s beside the beach if you fancy a brisk walk. It has a great team of efficient, friendly and helpful staff. You can’t ask for more. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Seaview Suite # 202 "Tom Watson Suite" was classic. Beautiful sitting room with a perfect view of the iconic Royal Troon Golf Course and the sea. Very comfortable sectional sofa and a well stocked tea coffee biscuit type set up. The bedroom was also very comfortable, the bed was excellent, in room safe and several USB charging ports in addition to electrical outlets. Bathroom was nice buy a bit small, sink, toilet and walk in shower. Great towels and facecloths toiletries were good but a bit small in quantity for two guests. Breakfast was excellent, made to order plus a continental style buffet. Once again an incredible view from the Rabbit Restaurant while you have your morning coffee.

We absolutely love this hotel. 2nd stay since May and both times has been fantastic. Reception staff so friendly and welcoming. Our most recent stay we booked a marine double without realising it would be quite small , it would have beeb absolutely fine for two of us just needed a wee bit more space for our wee boy ( totally our fault) so we asked about an upgrade and were given a beautiful junior suite at a discounted rate, with the most stunning view, the bed was incredible, and the room so clean. We decided to stay in the hotel for dinner this time and it was amazing ! Quite pricey but.to be expected in a 5 star hotel , couldn't fault the service , our waitress hannah was amazing and made sure we were fine with the baby ( Samuel) and had enough room etc. Drinks in the bar were lovely , and the service was incredible. We took our baby swimming for the first time and it was perfect , pool warm and not overcrowded and a great family changing set up. Concierge were amazing and constantly asking if they could assist , so kind. Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice. Thanks for the best stay for our little family and we cant wait to come back soon. We stayed for two nights with our dog in this lovely hotel. It was very comfortable, clean and relaxed. It is located next to the 18th hole of Royal Troon Golf Course, with amazing views over the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran. The weather was glorious so we were able to sit out on the terrace overlooking Arran and enjoy gin and tonics with spectacular sunsets! The hotel was restored in 2020 and has retained its early to mid 20th century style and decor to great effect. The bar area is very comfortable. It has a pool table and TV, which was showing the Masters Golf Tournament as one would expect at Royal Troon. Dogs and their owners eat in the bar area. Our lad had a great time with lots of friends made! It is a fantastic hotel for dogs! The food for humans was lovely; inventive menus, beautifully presented in good size portions. Above all the staff were the stars of the visit. Friendly, helpful to the end, always at hand and obvious dog-lovers! The service was excellent and everything was done with a smile. The cost of our stay was very reasonable given the quality of the accommodation, food and service. It is rated as a four-star hotel but could easily be five-star, though that might change the character and introduce a level of pretension, which was, thankfully, entirely absent. We will definitely return!

Great little find. Lovely room with nice modern decor and a waterfront view which was a bonus. Everything you could need, plenty sockets, nice hand soap, fluffy towels, good lighting, good pillows and comfy bed. Also great bathroom mirror and smart tv with netflix. Theres a small patio garden to rear and i was also allowed to leave luggage after checkout. Nick was great at communicating and even boosted the heating outwith normal hours for me after my morning run left me soaked through. Also met the lovely housekeeper who made sure i had everything i needed. Loved the coded door key entry and self check in which always makes things easier. And finally location is just amazing, just short walk to beach and some really good restaurants nearby, recommend Niche and Duncans bistro does an excellent brunch. Would recommend this guest house to anyone and im as fussy as they come! Will hopefully rebook soon.

No breakfast is available but there are plenty of good places round about which offer breakfast . The Maritime Museum and cafe is directly aross the road . On street parking is available and is free. The check in was super easy with a given code and instructions emailed before arrival . Contact details - if needed - were displayed clearly and information regarding check out was super. The room was very comfortable, clean and modern. After a long journey , a hot shower , tea and coffee facilities with some Tunnnocks biscuits was very much appreciated ! Would recommend

I was disappointed that the hospitality tray had dusty corners and hair from a previous guest on the sachets of tea/coffee. Also, when I got into the shower and adjusted the shower head, a disposable razor used by a previous guest fell to the shower tray. It must have been balanced on the shower head. That suggested the shower cubicle had not been properly cleaned. Obviously, a falling, previously used by another person, blade isn't great when one is naked in the shower.

Lovely clean and comfy room , nice and quiet. Very modern decoration with a very comfy bed. Nice little bathroom , great for a one night stop over but would recommend to people staying for a few days traveling up and down the west coast , just down the road from the train station and lovely views to boot .

Efficient key collection. Room small compact clean. Bed comfortable .Modernised nicely TV/ kettle with Tea coffee and biscuits. Room very well decorated, things all worked. En suite clean and compact. Views of Harbour was nice. Near the Maritime museum. No communal rooms or breakfast available. All rooms are used as bedroom conversions.

For the price I paid (£87 per night for 2 nights including breakfast, for single use of a king sized room) I was expecting an average town hotel. However I was surprised to find myself in a premium hotel of excellent quality. My room was large and spacious, with a supremely comfortable king size bed, excellent facilities including pod coffee machine and large TV, and a well fitted bathroom with shower over bath. There is a large lounge bar which also serves bar food until 8pm, and an excellent restaurant. This is very popular with other guests and people from outside so you do need to book. The food was outstanding with an interesting and unusual menu and delicious food beautifully prepared. The restaurant also provides a good breakfast, with cooked options prepared to order - i.e. not left for hours in warming dishes.

Well my first time in Kilmarnock, not sure what to expect but rest assure not disappointed. We got the bus from Glasgow Airport to Glasgow and then from Glasgow bus station to Kilmarnock bus station and then made our way to the park hotel, we weren't sure of where to go but there is always someone to ask all very friendly and very helpful. We were greeted at the park hotel by very friendly staff we were a bit early so we made our way to the Pavilion cafe and bar to have a drink a lovely piece of cake. So check in was around 3:00 after filling out our details and another warm greeting we went to our room, massive bed, big room and a good size bathroom, coffee machine, TV and everything else you need. Once settled in we had pre booked our evening meal at Blues onsite restaurant, where we both had a fantastic meal on 2 nights. We would like to thank the staff in the restaurant in the evening and for breakfast for a fantastic service and being very friendly and serving great food. I would like to give a special message to Kathleen who lent my partner her own brolly because it was raining, we were heading off to a wedding, above and beyond thank you❤️. (Sorry its a bit long lol) Definitely worth a visit.

The hotel is handy for the M77 motorway. My husband and I had a great overnight stay at the Park Hotel on 25th October 2025. We had a lovely twin room on the ground floor which had all we needed for our stay. The room was really clean and warm. The staff on Reception and in the Restaurants were really helpful and friendly. We had an enjoyable, reasonably priced snack lunch in the Pavilon Restaurant which we couldn't fault and our breakfast in the Blues Restaurant had all the usual breakfast goodies with plenty of cups of tea. Would certainly recommend the Park Hotel and would have no hesitation in booking another stay if we were in the area.

It was such a pleasure staying here! The bed was very comfortable, the room spotless and spacious, and it had everything I needed — an iron and ironing board, a Nespresso coffee maker with different coffee options, tea, instant hot chocolate, and even biscuits. Breakfast was excellent as well. You can order what you’d like from the menu, and there are also plenty of extras served buffet-style. A special mention to the energetic lady who was already running the place early in the morning — truly an inspiring example for young people. And my heartfelt 5 stars to the receptionist working the evening of 16 September through the morning of the 17th: what a courageous lady, welcoming guests with a smile. You are a gem! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay, for keeping my room, and for kindly responding to my emails while I was updating you about my flight. Hopefully see you again soon!

My wife and I booked a 3 night stay from 30th December 2024 to 2nd January 2025. This hotel was perfect in every way. So warm and cosy, spotlessly clean and amazing friendly staff. The New Years Eve Gala dinner dance was superb, lovely menu, food delicious and perfectly served. We enjoyed the entertainment throughout the evening, the Jersey Tones fantastic. The following morning, the breakfast served at 11.00 am an added bonus. This was the best New Year package we have ever had. A Happy New Year to all the staff. The location of The Burnside is absolutely superb as it is just a very short walk away from the bus station, the centre of Ayr with all of its shops and varied eating places and also the esplanade. Queens Terrace is a lovely residential area which is full of mainly older very attractive terraced properties. There are also lots of well kept green spaces nearby along with the extensive and lovely esplanade. There are a great number of good restaurants in Ayr and these are also within easy walking distance of Paul's lovely guesthouse. The Burnside is a period Victorian property with lots of charm and character. Our room was on the first floor and it was huge - a family room with a superking sized bed and also a single bed. It has a sitting area at the large bay window and is very fresh, clean and comfortable. We slept well as the bed was comfy and the street is very quiet. Paul's breakfasts are very good, tasty and generous and he is a friendly, interesting and helpful host who gave us lots of invaluable advice on the best places to visit during our stay. A most enjoyable wee break in Ayr. HIghly recommend. Thank you Paul!

location is perfect, right on the beach front (and the beach was beautiful) and the general area was very clean and lovely (much nicer than the English seasides we’re used to visiting). The property itself was very pretty and well maintained, and the room was exactly what we needed for a short 2-night stay, and very clean with all the amenities you’d expect such as hairdryer, iron, tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast was great and definitely worth adding on.

The location of the Burnside Guest House is excellent, being both close to the town centre and the beach. There is parking outside, with a free permit being given to me by the owner. The check in is flexible, and the host, Paul, is friendly. The property is well kept and is very clean. I had a family room with a separate bathroom. This wan't an issue, as the bathroom was solely for my personal use and was next door to my room. Both the bathroom and the bedroom were light and airy and are welcoming spaces. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept well. There is a fridge in the room, which was handy. There is a good choice of breakfast, and I would highly recommend the cooked breakfast, which was very tasty.

Lovely! The room was gorgeous, had everything you could possibly want, spacious, clean and with little luxurious elements in the room and bathroom. Amazing shower. Comfy bed. I loved that the host didn't interrogate me, he just said hello and gave me my room keys (I prefer this as a young woman traveling solo)!! Interesting information in their brochure too about local places to visit. Also, the guest house is right next to the beach!! All in all, fabulous stay, but out of my price range for a proper extended holiday. If you've got the budget, it's worth the spend.

We appreciated how helpful Paul was - he stored our luggage before check-in and took it up to our room for us. He also helped with an adapter problem we were having and gave us good recommendations for restaurants. Our room was a little small for luggage space, but very clean, bathroom was modern with a nice shower, beds were comfortable, pretty view. We felt welcome after a long trip!

The breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked, good quality, lots of tea/coffee and good range of buffet items (croissants, fruit etc). The staff at breakfast were friendly, attentive and professional. The decor and detail in the room was exceptional and matched the name of the room. The bed was King size and very comfortable. The shower was excellent. The room had everything we needed - tea, coffee, iron, hairdryer etc. The evening meal was also excellent and the staff were again attentive and helpful. We would definitely return to the hotel.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a lovely staff member who showed us to our room.Our suite was amazing,very well decorated,clean,cozy yet modern and quiet.The staff were lovely,professional and attentive.We had a some great drinks in the bar and a wonderful meal in the restaurant.The breakfast was also very good.

Friendly and helpful staff; soft beds, hot showers, and nice extra touches like fresh milk in the morning for coffee & bathrobes. Cosy bar & good vegetarian options at breakfast too. Plenty of parking & an easy walk to the shorefront or to other restaurants and bars.

The refurbishment of this lovely hotel has been very tastefully done, whilst maintaining the traditional character. The room I had was very spacious for a single as was the generously sized bed. The finishing touches in the room showed class and a lot of thought, carrying the Scottish theme throughout. The little extras like soaps, shower gels, boxes of tissues, writing bureau with pen and note pad, etc made it special. As did the specialist teas, ground coffee and biscuits, all locally sourced. They even provided dressing robes and slippers, which you would only find in a classy establishment. The staff were so polite and friendly and the food in the restaurant was delicious, with a good choice. There was also a cosy bar with a good selection of beers on tap and large seating area outside, ideal for nice weather. If I had to stay overnight in Ayr again, this hotel would definitely be my only choice if availability allowed. Handiness for town centre and amenities make it an ideal choice.

What a find. Absolutely loved our stay here. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Everywhere is well presented, nicely furnished decorated. Very homely and comfortable. We stayed in the equestrian room, absolutely beautiful, large room with everything thought of and provided. Luxury soap, fluffy towels, even a timer for your coffee in the cafetiere. The bed was, quite simply, the most comfortable bed I have slept in, I have chronic fibromyalgia and rarely sleep well. I slept so well and so comfortable I really didn't want to get up. Full Scottish breakfast was lovely, there were plenty of other options available too. Very glad we found this place and would definitely stay again if we're in the area.

First time staying at hotel. Had a lovely time. Room was spotlessly clean. Bed was very comfortable. Shower really powerful. Enjoyed snack and drinks in evening with attentive service. Breakfast in morning was delicious and fresh. Fabulous stay. Booked and paid via hotels.com and sadly on checking my credit card a couple of days later I noticed a charge of £95 I didn’t make. After phoning was told that reception person was newish and had processed in error and after querying what it was for rather worryingly was told it was just a random amount. Told it would be refunded in 7 days. Received in 2-3 days. Slightly tarnished my stay as it was lucky I noticed it and although I was offered sincere apology I would have expected something more in view of error.

This hotel was amazing. The reception girls were most helpful, the check in smooth. The rooms were well designed and comfortable with decent bed and pillows. The bathroom was adequate and well thought out. The hospitality tray well stocked. The car park was very large, with more than enough room when we stayed. Logan’s restaurant served a large variety of good food, well thought out menu, and excellent presentation and portion size when the food arrived. The bar was well stocked, especially the malt whiskey collection. The bar prices were not over the top. Breakfast was a very pleasant experience, with a wide selection of cold/continental items, toast, jams and cereals. Hot drinks were served to the table and plentiful. The hot selection was more than adequate and cooked to order. We would visit, and will visit, again.

Fantastic hotel, myself and work colleague booked as where not sure about hotels in Ayr, but what a lovely hotel, check in staff so helpful, room so comfortable, had a bath, had a good hour in it! Shower also so nice, nice big tv. Food in restaurant great, very good choice, again staff so helpful and polite, service in restaurant very quick and food very high standard, breakfast really good, again super choice and again top service. Check out very quick and very informative.

Great location, beautiful building design, very clean inside and out. Logan’s restaurant is very inviting. Love the fire pit in the restaurant. Beautiful outdoor space with the lighting. Rooms are very cosy and extremely comfortable bed, lovely seats in the room. Bathroom is very neat and tidy. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful.

Really nice hotel. Just stayed 1 night but room was lovely (we had a slight upgrade with a massive comfy bed). Room was clean with modern decor. Super friendly staff and a lovely breakfast included. Zero complaints but if you have any mobility issues be mindful that your room might have a shower over the bath rather than a walk in.

There was absolutely nothing we could fault about our stay at this lovely B&B. Easy to find with on- site parking at the rear of the property. Tastefully decorated and not overdone, with everything we needed. The rooms were very warm and cosy which was appreciated for a cold and rainy autumn night when we arrived. The B&B was also very clean and tidy. The host Fred, was readily available when needed and was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided was superb to cater for a range of tastes including a hot breakfast. A 5-10 minute walk to the centre of the town was convenient for dinner options.

Dean Park Guest House is a superb B&B. It was a pleasure to meet Fred who is a great host; he's thought of everything to make the stay comfortable. The property is attractive, both inside & out, its very clean bright & modern & our room was spacious with good ensuite facilities. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice of cereals, yoghurt & orange juice & a cooked breakfast too. The location couldn't be better as it's an easy short walk into town. Kilmarnock itself is rather rundown but the Wetherspoon pub is fine & there's a very good Indian restaurant. Dean Castle Country Park is a few minutes drive away & is beautiful.

An impressive-looking property. Our hosts, Fred and Robbie, were friendly, helpful and well-organised. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Fortunate to have the room on the entry level. Breakfast was delicious and provided with courtesy and a smile. On-site parking was conveniently outside the rear door. Directions emailed prior to our arrival were invaluable. Dinner at a local pub is only a short walk away. Enjoyed our stay. Thanks.

Easy to find, it was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable, shower and bathroom facilities were immaculate. Breakfast was amazing. But the best thing was Fred the guy there was very nice, friendly and professional, and he could not do enough to help. Nothing was a bother. The guesthouse is a beautiful old building with new modern facilities. Beds comfortable, shower excellent spacious room with 2 chairs. Very clean. Good ample breakfast. What stands out is the accommodating, friendly staff. The parking is limited and tight at the hotel but there are other places to park close by
