Excellent location (off and back on Hwy 99), across the street from Costco (gas and supplies). Large, clean, quiet and well-appointed rooms, comfortable bed for great night's sleep. Amazing hot breakfast with made to order eggs and other items (generous portions). Espresso and beer/wine available in bistro bar. Really enjoyed our stay. Staff very friendly and professional.

I had a fantastic experience at the Courtyard Hotel in Bakersfield! The staff truly made my stay enjoyable. Muhammad at the reception was incredibly welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. Benjamin, who handled breakfast service, was equally impressive, providing excellent service with a friendly smile. Their dedication made my visit memorable. Highly recommend this hotel!

The staff was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. There weren’t many restaurants in the area and the amenities were minimal, but the hotel was very clean and safe.

This review happen during CoVID (Feb 2022). My wife and I where visiting friends in Bakersfield. We spent one night. The hotel is located right off the freeway in an industrial area with other hotels located around it. The area around the hotel has a lot of fast food restaurants and some sit downs. But with that said we had a pleasant stay. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The check in process was quick and easy. They have a little shop next to concierge where you can but chips, soda, and candy. The lobby was nice and the restaurant was open (Happy to see it was open). The room was nice, clean, and with plenty of room. For one night in Bakersfield it was perfect. We would stay here again.

From the moment I checked in, I was impressed by how welcoming and professional the staff were. The check-in process was smooth and quick, and I immediately felt at ease. My room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and surprisingly spacious for a single-night stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable — easily one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a while! Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of: fresh linens, complimentary water, a cozy robe, and even a personalized note from the front desk. The hotel amenities were top-notch — I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere and how easy it was to unwind after a long day of travel. Breakfast the next morning was delicious with plenty of options, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect before I checked out. Though my stay was short, it was truly memorable. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends and family.

Staying at Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Bakersfield Central was a pleasant and comfortable experience. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Bakersfield, with easy access to nearby restaurants, shopping centers, and highways. Our room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, making it a great place to relax after a long day. One of the highlights was the complimentary hot breakfast, offering a variety of options that were both kid-friendly and satisfying. The staff was friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile and ready to assist with anything we needed. We also appreciated the free parking and access to the fitness center and outdoor pool, which added extra convenience and enjoyment to our stay.

This was the cleanest hotel we have EVER stayed in! This hotel was perfect -- easy check in, wonderfully quiet room on the 4th floor, delicious breakfast. The bathroom has a lighted makeup mirror, excellent shower and bathroom, perfect layout of the kingsize room. All around perfect! Parking is free in a gated lot, which is attached. I cannot give the hotel enough stars. Employees were friendly and helpful.

The breakfast is delicious and the options were a variety of and changes daily…even the flavor of the waffle batter such as strawberry and lemon flavored waffles in addition to traditional recipe. On our last day, we were happy and surprised that the choice that morning was biscuits and gravy, sausage patties and scrambled eggs….delicious. Coffee delicious and even offered decaf and variety of fruit juices Rooms were very clean and comfortable…we enjoyed our stay and when we come back to see our relatives we will book here again.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times before and will likely do so again. This is a conveniently located, newish hotel, north of Bakersfield, by freeway 99. The front desk staff is always friendly and accommodating. The rooms have always been clean, quiet and comfortable with terrific beds and pillows and shining new, clean fixtures. The complimentary breakfast is OK. The only thing that needs to be fixed is the use of styrofoam plates, bowls and plastic forks/spoons. I know they are less expensive but do need an environmentally friendly alternative update. Other than that, this hotel has never disappointed me and I plan to stay here again.

Our experience was superb, staff was great, our room was very clean. And the hotel it self was very clean and peaceful... Our stay was excellent 👌 and pool was perfect. A perfect place and a perfect way to celebrate independence day...

Staff at check-in were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Fridge and microwave were great. Parking was close and accessible. Complimentary hot breakfast was appreciated, and we enjoyed our stay.

It was a great stay especially for the price. Water pressure in the shower was AMAZING! Wish i had the same back home or other hotels. The room was very clean and comfortable for my one night stay. The front desk people were nice and informative. Another plus was the breakfast options in the morning included with our booking. Will definitely stay here again when traveling to SoCal.

Are stay was good the 1 thing I was NOT HAPPY WITH was that I booked a room with 2 queens size bed and a large tube in the rest room and I was looking forward to that large tub because I hurt my back and wanted to relax in that tub and lady at the front desk said that they had gave my room to someone else, and that such because this hotel didn’t have a jacuzzi . That was pretty disappointing

Everyone is always helpful and friendly. It’s a nice hotel. The rooms I’ve stayed in are clean and the beds are really comfortable and cozy. They offer a nice free breakfast with all the usual breakfast eats so you have a great choice. Starbucks is right across the street. Nothing personal, but it’s time to redo the shower stalls. Every room I’ve stayed in has this problem with black mold in spots. But otherwise clean and spacious. I recommend staying here!

For my overnight stay, I was given room 401. It was spacious and very clean - no sign of any bugs or other pests. Being in Bakersfield, the first thing I did when getting settled in was crank the AC and it worked very well. The layout of the room was also practical as I had more than enough space for my things but was also able to set up a small work nook next to where the coffee maker was. There was a single king size bed which proved to be very comfortable, not too firm but not too soft with adequate pillows. The night stands were a little different than what I'm used to as these ones are floating style and but nifty. There were 2 windows facing the gas station but it actually made for the perfect amount of light to where I didn't need to use the mini plug in lights I bring. Aside from the room, I have to mention the wonderful customer service from the staff. The joyful young lady who checked me in, I don't remember her name, was professional but cheerful and provided the establishment's restaurant, bar, and amenities hours and made check-in a breeze. Other staff members are also welcoming and are happy to answer any questions. Although, this trip was for business, I definitely would consider this establishment for personal trips to Bakersfield.

The room was comfortable and clean. Very organized. Modern. The only thing was the little fridge was not very cold and the cabinet door it was in did not work very well. I had dinner at the little bar, the food was not great, ok for a bar, I was tiered and just needed to eat. The breakfast was good. I will be staying there again. The prices were as expected, not too crazy for just an overnight business stay.

Good location away from the main highway and related noise and close to many shopping choices if needed. Nice entry area with a lot of seating and the available bar and snack area separate from the breakfast area. Clean and modern room with dual curtains. Interesting ends to the hallways with window views to the east and west. Good parking wrapping around the hotel. Friendly staff in all areas.

Our room was comfortable and clean, good breakfast with nice selections, well stocked, love the fresh coffee and water bar in the lobby, the only thing missing is fresh cookies! Nice staff, easy check in. Love that there is a Star bucks. Dennys, and Subway across the parking lot. Panda and McDonald's and Taco Bell in walking distance. 15 minutes from the convention center. The swimming area was clean

Hard to find a parking space very cluttered in the area. I wish they had microwaves in the room and coffee machines. I also wish they had a Jacuzzi and a pool!

If they didn’t have security in the parking lot, I wouldn’t give four stars because it’s not an area where you feel comfortable walking around. The front desk people were great — helpful, friendly, available, knowledgeable. Good, quick and easy breakfast. The lady working the breakfast stuff was keeping everything stocked, clean, etc. The refrigerator in my room had a Pizza Guys salad and two cans of Coors Light beer left by the previous room guest. The multi function/spray styles shower head didn’t work very well. Lots of the options had clogged/non-working spray jets. Also, the water pressure was very low.

Property was very clean and pleasing aesthetically. Staff were very kind and attentive. There was a bagel breakfast bar that was very adequate and enjoyable. There’s even a little “Shop” that you can get some snacks and small meals to take to your room. The bed was comfortable and when I needed two extra pillows they were promptly sent up.

This place is great! Not overly expensive, very clean, beds were comfortable, sheets were clean and smooth. Staff was very friendly and helpful, continental breakfast was pretty good (Bagels, yogurt, muffins). I would stay here again.

I had never heard of a spark hotel by Hilton nor had I ever seen one, but the price was so outstanding. We decided to try this one. The staff are beyond phenomenal, friendly, helpful, constantly. Checking to make sure everything's okay. I can't speak more highly of their staff. You do give up certain amenities like there's no laundry on site however, you really cannot beat the price. The rooms are clean and comfortable and safe. Area is a little bit squiffy but like I said for the price you just can't beat it!

This was a nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay. Great gym and pool with jacuzzi outside. The room was a good size and had everything we needed. The staff was nice and helpful throughout our stay. We were able to park at the property and it was easy to get to from the highway. We would stay here again.

We were impressed as soon as we walked into the lobby. Right now it's decorated for Christmas and it was pretty but I'm sure even when it's not Christmas, it's just as nice. Very open feeling to the lobby. The staff at the check in desk were professional and friendly. The room was perfect- the bed was perfect and the room was spacious and clean. We had a balcony on the 4th floor overlooking the pool which was nicely lit at night. We will definitely stay there again.

Easy to get around the property, very quiet, clean, staff very helpful, pool was very nice, clean. We stayed 3 nights and we only had enough room coffee for 1 morning, which required a walk to restaurant! So more coffee please:)

The parking lot is gated which made us feel our vehicle was safer. Room was quiet, comfortable and clean. The bed was firm with fresh smelling sheets. Cookies available when you check in. Breakfast was plentiful and good - waffles, eggs, potatoes, toast, apples, oatmeal, cereals, juices and coffee. There’s a bar in the evenings and small gym. Overall, a pleasant stay.

We were quite satisfied with our stay. Room was very clean and comfortable, shower was hot, tv worked well, internet was quicker than at most motels. Bedding was smooth, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was better than most included breakfasts. The scrambled eggs were really good - amazing!

I had the most comfortable rest/sleep. In fact, I bought the pillow I slept on because it was so comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast area was clean and had nice food available.

Great Loc - pit stop for us from Vegas to San Jose. Nice big room, clean, comfy bed. Big shower. Easy to find. Starbucks, Denny’s, McDonalds and petrol stations right next door. Room has a microwave and a fridge. Breakfast included - choice of waffles, toast, muffins, good coffee, juices, eggs and sausage patties. Staff were friendly.

Hampton Inns have become our favorite go-to hotels when traveling. Super clean with every amenity you need. Beds are gloriously comfortable, perfect for a great night's sleep. You will think you are the first person to use the room! Breakfast is substantial and tasty.

Booked the room about 30 min in advance on Hotels.com Presiden't's Day weekend Sunday due to needing an overnight break on a day-long family car drive on a dark and stormy night that was taking us past Bakersfield. Too tired to keep driving. We were sooo tired and hungry. The lobby was bright, clean and a sight for sore eyes. The front desk clerk was sooo welcoming, friendly and helpful. Happily gave us a couple extra Keurig cups for the morning as we had to be up before the free breakfast. Room was very quiet despite being next to the elevator. Room very clean and had mini fridge for our cooler items from our trip. Slept great. Bathroom a bit cramped at vanity our toiletry bags, but no way a deal breaker. Free breakfast was eggs, waffles you make yourself, croissant breakfast sandwiches with sausage and eggs, oatmeal (very runny rolled oats!), with loads of toppings to choose from. Lots of fresh coffee. Attendants were very friendly and the breakfast area was fairly spread out and very clean. We'd definitely crash here again if needing a stopover on a long road trip (we'll have plenty!). It's right off Hwy 99 and on hwy that cuts over to I-5. Booked this hotel because of it's excellent reviews, amenities, and we were going to drive right by it on our route. BTW, the front desk clerk recommended Rusty's for pizza delivery when we called down asking for a recommendation. Pizza was great!! Rusty's quoted 90 minute wait time, but it arrived in only 30-40 minutes.

Very friendly, courteous, and attentive staff. Hotel was always clean and up kept. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. The breakfast room was always clean! The woman conducting and managing the complimentary breakfast/breakfast room does an amazing job! She was always courteous and made sure the guest had what they needed.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly. I did not need to utilize their services often, but they were happy to offer me a late check out, as well as just generally friendly through check-in/checkout, and during the stay. I stayed in a suite the couch was comfortable, however, they are nearing becoming a bit too thin as the cushions cover the pull out bed. The bed in the room was extremely comfortable and the bedding was very nice. The shower faucet was a bit finicky was an intuitive faucet to figuring out hot versus cold water. Overall, I would definitely say this was a great stay, and would recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed the comfortable beds and the clean room. The rooms are simple, but nice. Big flat TV, microwave, kettle and a nice desktop is in the room. So everything you need. The Alarm has 2 USB plugs, which is very useful for tourists like us. Personal was friendly and very professional! Breakfast was a positive surprise for a hotel of this category. Much better than most of the Hampton Inns by Hilton!!!

The hotel was nice, the pool was super small and the jets in the jacuzzi did not work. The room felt super hot because it’s an indoor pool.

The staff here really make an effort. The reception is helpful and friendly and after a long day that makes a difference for a traveler. The room we had, with two queens, was plenty big and had a sitting area and two closets, plus and sink, frigo, microwave and coffee area. There is plenty of parking available and easy access to freeways. The coffee is good and the breakfast is a big step up from most hotels of this type. The thing I liked the most was the indoor pool and the outside jacuzzi.

Loved this hotel, clean, modern and spacious rooms with comfy beds. Very quiet area, hotel felt secure and safe. Receptionists were friendly and helpful, especially Devin who was warm and kind! Pool and spa was lovely, clean and quiet. Would definitely return! 🥰

A quick place to stay on our way to visit our grandchildren up north we chose this hotel and we are glad we did clean efficient wonderful staff had a great breakfast. This is a clean and well run hotel. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean, but not fancy. The pod coffee machine in the lobby makes excellent coffee, and the ice water dispenser is a nice touch. Breakfast is good. Tip: the lobby coffee is better than the breakfast coffee dispenser coffee.

The bed was not very comfortable. The bedding was stained and also the gaskets in the fridge had black mold. I stayed in room 404. Positives: the staff was friendly, the lobby was decorated beautifully and very clean. The breakfast area was clean and the food was fresh. The rest of the room was very clean

My family and I stayed at the Residence Inn Bakersfield West while on a roadtrip through California. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a very friendly member of the team, and promptly checked-in. This team member helpfully provided some travel assistance to help us find a local eatery that we had wanted to visit, and then had extra bath towels ready for us (after I briefly mentioned while checking-in that I might need some more) right when we came back into the hotel after we parked our car. The room itself was modern and spacious; while a minor detail, the built-in luggage rack near the bathroom was a nice touch. The room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was very good (the mini quiches were an unusual, and welcome, surprise). Altogether, this Residence Inn was near perfect: comfortable, modern, clean, and with great service.

I stayed for a long business trip, so I wanted a place that was apartment like. Their suite with a kitchenette was perfect for my needs. Very modern and accommodating for technology. Most outlets had standard usb ports (not the c usb). Staff is friendly. Many are new and they don’t always have answers to questions, so a bit of patience was required. I had housekeeping refresh my room every few days. The results were inconsistent. Sometimes, used towels were taken without being replaced. Once my kitchen towels were not taken, but moved to on top of my coffee basket where my coffee pods are kept. Coffee pods were sometimes replaced, other times, not. Trash was emptied but fresh trash bags were forgotten. Each time was a surprise. Once they washed my breakfast dishes in my sink. That was unexpected and very nice of them. Anyway, this inconsistency could be resolved with a standard service checklist. Breakfast had more hot food variety than any place I’ve ever stayed. Really enjoyed that.

I got a comp’d room with Bonvoy points for President’s Day weekend (Sun. Feb 18th - check out Mon. Feb 19th late) I got in around 8pm, the front desk clerk was very helpful and gave me a high floor room nearest the elevators. Overall, it was excellent, no problems except for the bathroom shower, details to come. I had a King studio with small kitchen, and it was nicely furnished. As for the shower, honestly the renovated shower was a bit weird, as it had no curtain or sliding door as I prefer a more ‘closed’ environment when taking a shower. Other than the bathroom shower, everything else was excellent. I stayed up to get breakfast, and I was satisfied. Choices were good, and enjoyed the cereal and yogurt. I got late checkout til 3pm per Bonvoy Platinum, and Thank You to the night auditor with CSUB sweatshirt who helped me with the request. Overall, I would return. FIVE CLAWS UP!!!!! Hotel was great. Looked fairly new. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was spacious shower could have been scrubbed better but it was clean. Bed was comfy but pillows way too soft for my liking.If we come back to Bakersfield we would definitely stay here.

Great property ! Very clean, modern and new, spacious rooms. We only spent one night her eon a road trip and it was just perfect. We were upgraded to a one bedroom (we are Lifetime Titanium) and it was very nice. Breakfast is excellent, with a on of options and I was so happy I see they are back to regular plates and utensils, no more disposable ones! (some are available for take out though) If you bring a dog, request a first floor room, it was super convenient. (the pet fee of $150 is astronomical though, but I bet that's a Marriott policy)

This is a very good option for travelers from LA to San Francisco. A nice respite in the middle of Bakersfield. The front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating. The grounds are perfect if you have kids or a dog - lots of green grass and amenities. The rooms could be updated a bit - definitely worn - but thankfully very clean. We had no concerns in our one bedroom suite - clean bathroom, spotless sheets and towels and a well-stocked kitchen with squeaky clean dishes, glasses and silverware. Finally, some of the reviews shared concerns about safety and security. We disagree. We drove a $150K Porsche and felt comfortable parking it in the lot outside of our suite. In the morning, there were no signs of problems anywhere on the property. There were multiple security cameras on the corners of the buildings - and the parking lots were well lighted. We'll be back for sure.

We LOVE this property. The room has everything, including a well equipped kitchenette. The bed is very comfortable. The grounds are safe, parking is plentiful and the morning (complimentary) breakfast is excellent. And they are very dog friendly. After a long day on the road this place was so welcoming we decided to stay an extra night before continuing our trip.

I love Residence Inn, and I look for it every time I travel. Pros: Comfortable, clean, spacious rooms, good parking lot, and nice, helpful staff. I was traveling for business so it was nice to have a good desk space and comfortable chair. Cons: Not the best neighborhood, and lots of traffic noise. Overall it was a good stay.

Super clean and spacious room, love the refrigerator option and the free breakfast is delicious and convenient! They always have Tuesday night meet ups. And a good place to have family come and enjoy time together. We will always choose this place!

We stayed for one night in a King Suite and had a great experience. The room was spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed a mini fridge, couch, coffee table, and a convenient desk for getting some work done. The bathroom was roomy, had all the necessities, and felt fresh and clean. The hotel also has a restaurant on the ground floor where we had a breakfast before heading out. Free parking was a huge plus, and the swimming pool looked good too, but we didn’t use it. Overall, everything met our expectations. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing just what we needed after driving for several hours. We’d happily stay here again next time we’re passing through. Highly recommended!

I like the set up of the lobby and pool area. The counter people, bar tender, and cook were outstanding. All were very friendly, professional, and ready to help. The bar tender allowed me to sit in the bar area during dinner while I ate dinner, even though I was not drinking. He was as attentive to my Coke Zero as to everyone else’s drinks. I had the most delicious salmon and steamed vegetable dish I have ever had. It was incredible.

The room was clean, our bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the ice cold air conditioner and indoor pool on a hot day! The sit down restaurant downstairs was nice, and breakfast was a great value for hotel guests. Also, the convenience of having more options of snacks and drinks for sale in the lobby was nice, too. This hotel has a great little gym downstairs, coffee and ice water is served throughout the day in the lobby, and the friendly staff was happy to help us when we needed extra towels. Located close to stores and restaurants, this hotel was a lucky find for us! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Bakersfield for the next concert!

Breakfast was very very simple, coffee, orange juice, breakfast bars, some other items and oatmeal. Staff is excellent checking in and out, informing me that if I need anything feel free to call front desk. I was leery of the location, but after staying here, I would definitely repeat. I felt safe. Thank you to the lady registering me into the hotel, friendly and very helpful.

Property is gated so you must be let in which was a plus. The check in was quick and I told him I was hesitant to stay bcuz of the negative reviews that you see others giving and that I’d be giving them a full review also… I requested a 2 bed room and asked for hood AC and a hot shower lol… The room was as expected and the AC did blow cold all night. They have a mini microwave in the room and a blow dryer as well. You can’t call out on their phones but if you need to you can you the front desk. Beds and sheets were clean and their were sufficient towels for two people even tho we brought our own there were both body wash and shampoo in the shower as well… Breakfast is as advertised just granola bars and coffee but the coffee was hot so for the price I was overly satisfied with this establishment and I’d have no problem staying here again!

It’s a little sketchy neighborhood, but I have been here for a while waiting on truck repairs… the room I have has been remodeled and has hard floors, excellent A/C, and a small yet clean bathroom, plus a good fridge and microwave. The only thing that would have been awesome is a small coffee machine and guest laundry… they have a large metal perimeter fence, and there are some not so well off people around this area, but the motel has been excellent. Just because the area is not the best does not mean you are going to have issues…use common sense and watch your surroundings, people, etc and you will do just fine. Also the WiFi is great, and great Verizon 5G cell reception as well. If you need to book a room here I would not hesitate if you are looking for some savings! Thanks!

This hotel was amazing for the price! If your going to spend $50 on a room for 4 people your not going to get the Hyatt! This room had everything we needed. The refrigerator was brand new and the microwave was nearly brand new. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The entire bathroom was very clean and hair free. They give you a more then generous amout of coffee packets, and was very happy to give me more on request. The beds were very comfy, but I like my beds a little on the hard side. The flat screen TV had a good amount of channels and was very clear. The AC runs like a beast, so if you hate the heat it's perfect! :-) The open parking is nice, because my Xterra is very high and can't fit in some garages. Although there aren't too many spots. The free breakfast is limited (cereal, and lil pre-wrapped pastries with coffee and oj), but it's still free and will hold you over till you can get to a restaurant or whatever. Oh beware of tge Dennys near by...horrible service! And as for the staff, they were all very nice and helpful. They even let us have a late check out at no additional cost. Oh and the surrounding area was surprisingly nice and quiet, and I didn't worry about my car getting messed with. Overall a great little budget inn!!! A+ Dayna

Really needs deep cleaning. Everything’s really dusty. Need to replace shower heads they’re moldy. Toilets are dirty. Hallways and stairs and floors are dirty. Lots of drug addicts yelling after midnight . Stomping like elephants. Knights inn was super quiet and nice and clean back in the years . Will not be coming here again. Good thing we only got it for one night . We were gonna come since Friday leave Monday morning . God sends us a sign not to. Bye .

The location was clean, safe and convenient. I spent time at Sequoia National Park. It had a full size refrigerator. There was also microwave and coffee maker.

Everything was clean and it included a little kitchenette which was very convenient.

Where can you stay in this area in a hotel that is super clean, brand spanking new, with friendly staff and safe, double-lock access entry? There's no coffee-maker in the room, but the nearby Denny's apparently offers a 15% discount when you show your key card. There's also plenty of brand new washers and dryers to do your laundry on the road. Cable TV, comfortable new bed - for $50-ish bucks. Are you kidding me? I have no complaints and I am grateful for the savings, while nearby hotels are upwards and well over $100/night.

I appreciated the parking lot. It was well lit, and the hotel was gated. The lobby door requires a key for entry. It was busy on New Years Eve, with lots of families and cute dogs! People were friendlier than I expected. My room was clean, and the bed was comfortable and clean. I love the convenience of the local restaurants. I wasn't aware this was a truck stop. No issues as I traveled alone. I appreciated the current pictures of the hotel online. I've had issues before with budget friendly hotels by Wyndham that post old pictures, and when you arrive, you want to cry.

We had an impromptu stay at this hotel for 1 night recently due to a tire blowout on the highway on a Sunday evening. I was able to book a room through my Chase travel portal and the reservation was ready when we showed up shortly after. We needed a pet friendly, budget hotel near a grocery store (since we didn’t have our car) and this hotel is in a great location near a Target. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a fridge and microwave which was great. Bathroom had all the soap and lotion we needed also. The shopping plaza nearby had some grass to walk the dogs on as well as a dog friendly mall (Valley Plaza). We were able to grab dinner to go from one of the chain restaurants in the plaza and enjoy our food in our room. Slept great, shower worked well, and breakfast had a few choices to get food in our bellies before we got our car to get back on the road. Front desk staff was friendly.

Clean rooms and helpful staff. Check in was a breeze. Room was ready on time. Bed was comfortable as was the sitting area. The shower was hot with good pressure. Linens and towels were clean. Plenty of parking and felt sucured. Happy to have made the choice to stay here. Very convenient to shopping and Hwy. Accidentally left my son's gaming system, owner shipped it to me the next day. Would highly recommend.

Located 5 minutes from the mall. The hotel sign was big so you can see right off the street as the driveway was a quick right turn. We were greeted immediately by the clerk and very friendly. There were fresh baked cookies available but were quickly eaten up by the kids LOL. The hallway to our room was kinda trippy probably because of the carpet pattern. The room was big with the king size bed was around the corner. The air conditioner was so much quieter than the last hotel room we were in! The king size bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was very good. It included your basic items like sausage patties, scrambled eggs, waffles, toast, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal and a variety of juices and cold cereals. The coffee was hot and tasted really good! The coffee was available all day by the front desk. I saw that there is a small area where you can sit and purchase beer. I didn’t see or ask if they served wine. There is also a fitness center but it was too hot to work out longer than 30 minutes according to my husband.

I did not realize this was an extended stay when I booked it, but it was darn near perfect anyway. There were obviously folks who lived there and smoked pot. I wasn’t worried about security but I’m not a fan of the smell. To be clear, the smell was outside and our room did not smell at all. It was immaculate. The room was fabulous. Spacious, clean, and the air conditioning worked on a really hot day over 100°. Motel 6 has done a great job of rebranding their places as clean budget places to stay, with a bit of style. This was basically a studio apartment and it felt really luxurious and nice to walk around on a clean floor. I’ve decided that if you are a budget traveler, you can either have a great breakfast or a great room, but not both. This time I opted for a great room and I’m glad I did.

The owners are very nice its clean its safe and its not right next to a freeway very spacious room great place to stay overall my only critique is that the tv had not great selection of channels and remote was hard to use but this place exceeds expectations for the price. So i dont care about the tv nearly fullsized fridge n freezer nice hot shower

I love that it seems renovated and it was definitely clean. Their A/C was able to cool me down during the historically hot summer days for the area, which I appreciate as someone with weather sensitivities. I love that there is gated parking as it seems like the area around is not high-end, but as someone who grew up in a not so luxurious way.. I felt fine. Those more familiar with the area may be able to speak on the safetiness better but nothing happened to me or my belongings! There were folks with families with children playing outside and all so I’d say it was a pretty safe area despite the block appearing a little run down and in need of some tender love & updating. Bakersfield seems like an affordable, charming place outside of the summer time heat & I’m glad this hotel provided me a place to explore and rest my head while here.

My husband got sick before our trip so I was alone. At first it was sketchy but turned out to be quiet and I didn’t feel scared. That part of town is a little crazy but your gated in. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Would stay again for that great price.

Breakfast is okay, there is nice coffee and some pastries, cereal and toast and jam.

We found the hotel staff friendly and welcoming. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and all the facilities you might need. The rooms are clean and tidy. We would stay again if we pass this way in the future.

All the staff go above and beyond to guarantee your safe and that you're comfortable while here. They make your stay memorable. Clean pool always ready for you with towels available at request.

For a no-frills hotel, we got what we paid for. The room could have been a lot cleaner and I'm not usually picky. Only one roll of toilet paper. But for Bakersfield, no reaches is a win! There is coffee, juice, and oatmeal. Not much of a breakfast. The parking lot is being redone so that will be nice for future guests. They have jacuzzi rooms which I'll try next time. The pool was closed for the winter. It was very quiet, (except for the soothing freeway hum) no parties or mèth heads. Another win for Bakersfield.

This motel was alright. We felt safe leaving our car and the area didn't seem sketchy. There were 2 feral cats and 1 kitten but they were skittish and ran away. For what we paid, we got a safe space and a comfortable bed, fridge, and microwave. Our TV wasnt working but we didn't really use it. The toilet was pretty loud and there was a moth when we entered the room initially. The "breakfast" is usually a packet of oatmeal and a granola bar. It wasnt the greatest but it wasnt the worst. I'll probably come back but bring my own breakfast.

For a low budget hotel the room was clean with no musty smells and clean sheets. Bathroom was fine and it didn’t smell of mildew. The room had the expected amount of towels for two but only had one wash cloth. The place was fairly quiet. Checking in was easy and the people were nice. I think they need to change their advertisement of "free breakfast", though. Yes, I would come back if just passing through. For us, it was clean.

First of all, we had booked our room quite a while ago and did not know that my husband was going to have knee surgery the day before we got there. I called to see if we could get an ADA room and spoke with Lisa. She went above and beyond to accommodate us. We could not get the ADA room, but she made sure we had a first floor king with a walk in shower. So relieved that we did not have to navigate a tub. The room was clean, front desk staff friendly and professional. We did not do the breakfast, but the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Have stayed here many times and will say this was the best so far. Highly recommend.

The location, service, food, staff and cleanliness was exceptional. We travel to Bakersfield and have stayed at several places but this one is the best. From management Lisa to front lobby Vivian and Rachel to Terri who helped us with our needs due to my spouse disability, and Shauntia who kept the food coming and areas clean. The staff was friendly, professional, and exceptional. The room was clean, large, and a home away from home.

Staff weren't particularly helpful and you felt like you'd put them out when you called. No menu in room but felt like it was my problem. Valet service excellent. Restaurant food is very nice but service was slow and they looked at you like you weren't welcome. We eventually got a server and he was fab but drinks took a while to come. I think there is a nightclub there and it will wake you up. It was so loud even at 8th floor. Still the room gave us some.e temporary luxury that was needed

A lovely historic hotel situated in a charming area of downtown Bakersfield. Many bars, restaurants, and yes, even a nice little museum are within easy walking distance. Valet parking made arrival easy, and check-in was a breeze. An added bonus was that we were able to get into our room a bit earlier than the standard 4pm. We left our bags with the front desk, grabbed lunch and then got a call around 2pm that our room was ready. Reserved a King room and it was your expected smaller size that most historic buildings can accommodate. That isn't an issue - there's plenty of space for luggage, a nice little hanging cabinet and the bathroom was modern and clean. Lobby bar/restaurant was our savior on a busy Saturday St. Patrick's Day weekend. Food was delicious (try the burger) and staff was extremely welcoming and attentive. Did not visit rooftop bar, but could see it from our room and it looked like a nice space. A last minute bonus was that I had left some jewelry in our room and while eating breakfast a few miles away, the front desk called to let me know. We would happily stay here again!

This hotel is a very old property recently completely renovated in a black, white, and gold art-deco style. It's kind of over the top but also original, and you can't fault it for aiming to please! Our room had a great city view and was well appointed. The shower was a dark-gray stone which seemed a bit like showering in a closet, but otherwise the bathroom was generally luxe. The front-desk staff were super-helpful and friendly, and all staff seemed to be happy to be working at the Padre and proud of its bold new identity. The only disappointments were that the rooftop restaurant/bar was closed for renovations, and the only other place to eat/drink in the hotel (Brimstone, a lobby-level sports-bar-type place) closed promptly at 9pm. There isn't much around the hotel, but downtown Bakersfield is generally not a super vibrant place. We'd stay here again and hope it succeeds in leading a return of style and energy to a city that has a really interesting history, as the hotel itself personifies.

I've stayed here before. It's a great location, close to bars and restaurants downtown. Reasonably priced valet parking. It's got kind of a hip vibe. The staff is always great. I was disappointed the restaurant is not open anymore. It was a really nice spot and had a great wine list (Dunn Vineyards in Bakersfield??). The Brimstone has elevated bar food and the service at the bar was great. I've stayed there before when it was LOUD but this stay, there was no thumping music and it made for a quiet night. I wasn't thrilled with the underpowered Air Conditioning particularly on a 102 degree day but it wasn't too bad until it caused me to have some trouble sleeping. Very nice bathroom and shower. They put a featherbed topper on the mattress which isn't great for me but you might like it. All in all, the best hotel in Bakersfield.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. Our room was inviting, the bed was very comfortable, and we felt right at home. Breakfast had all the essentials to start the day right, and the exercise room was well-equipped with machines and free weights. The swimming pool was also clean and a great bonus. We especially appreciated the hotel’s quiet location in a safe and pleasant area. One standout detail was the 12pm checkout time—more generous than most places and a real convenience. All in all, a great experience. We would gladly stay here again!

The stay was overall very good. Pros- clean and very friendly staff. Free breakfast was good. We had the executive pool view suite as we had our 3 kids with us. It was perfect for us as a family of 5. The pool was awesome! Cons- no beer or alcohol sold and no bar, no Tylenol or anything like it. Pillows were awful. Bring your own. Finally, they didn’t have any liquid creamer or packets of sugar. Cold milk on coffee = cold coffee! Otherwise, would we stay again - yes, if the price is right we absolutely would. Now we know what to bring.

I stay here overnight every two weeks for business. I have stayed at about 6 or more hotels in the area in the $110-160 range . This place is my go to if the price is comparable to the going rate. I dont do the breakfast so cant comment on that. Pros: Friendly Staff Clean Rooms Large Flat screen Good stations/Netflix/HBO Movable Desk/Descent Desk Chair Stand up shower with Glass Doors (this alone sets it apart) Big Workout Room with freeweights Tall ceilings if you get the bottom floor Occasional surprise upgrade It's in Northern Bakersfield Minor Cons: I relate to another review because I have also been left in the dark when working at the desk and showering. The timer at the desk is annoying and I have to get up and do a jig to get it to turn back on. The shower light turns off which I supposed tells me my time is up but could be a little dangerous if you trip or slip. The entrance is quite welcoming and lovely. The person who checked us in, kim, was amazing, efficient, helpful very friendly, she really went above and beyond for us. I stay at a hotel every time I’m out in Bakersfield visiting family. This has by far been my best stay!! I will be staying here from now on. The staff is amazing and very hospitable. The rooms and clean and spacious. The breakfast is delicious. 9/10 and only a 9 because I wish the pool and jacuzzi was open later. Over all loved this place and my stay!

Central location near freeway exit. Friendly staff. Very spacious room, loved the toiletries. Guest laundry was good to have (not listed on property website). We used indoor pool and outdoor jacuzzi. Enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, bed comfy, and quiet. Close to restaurants, easy on and off the fwy. It was too windy and cold to use the pool and jacuzzi. The water felt good, just too cold outside.

Our recent stay at this hotel was overall very good. We felt safe and comfortable on the convenient property, which offered plenty of space for us to relax and unwind. The pool and jacuzzi were the highlights of our stay. We also appreciated the complimentary breakfast, which offered a good selection of options to start our day.

The location was great for a nights stop over. Room was spacious and clean with fab toiletries. Coffee machine was great and nice coffee. On arrival we were given fresh fruit, iced water and fresh cookies. Reception lady was polite and attentive. Breakfast, whilst not huge, was plentiful, again with fresh bakes and nice coffee.

YAY for good customer service ~ Maribella was warmly welcoming & helpful at check in and Carla was equally cheerful at check out. Automatic front doors & two elevators. King single was spacious & spotless aside from a stain in an upholstered chair. Fridge/micro. Free wifi w/ample signal. Slept well on super comfortable bed with nice linens & lots of fluffy pillows. Easily accessible bedside & desktop outlets for charging electronics. Security guard on premises. There was a little train & traffic noise but welcome to Bakersfield lol. Left out before continental was available. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. We only stayed one night as we were passing through but so glad we did. The free breakfast was very good, with a great selection. There is an amazing bar / restaurant close by, which was recommended by the hotel receptionist. A very cool place.

The breakfast is fantastic not just danishes and coffee but omelets Spanish and plain , sausage ,pancakes milk starts early like six thirty awesome clean room comfy pillows and bed and the hot tub so crystal clean cleaner than even the fanciest hotels I'll be back for sure and casinos only like six or seven mile away thanks holiday inn you took great care of us ,nonie. We had a great experience with friendly check-in, great food downstairs and a good time in the pool, jacuzzi and gym.

Every staff member we encountered from the security guard, to check in people, to the bartender, waitress, & maid were all very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. We ate dinner and had drinks at the bar and breakfast in the restaurant the next morning. Everything was delicious. The only negative of the hotel itself is they were getting tile replaced in front of the elevators and so for a nine story hotel they only had one elevator operating. The only other negative was the neighborhood that did not seem like a safe neighborhood, but it made me feel more comfortable when I saw that they had armed security guards. The noise of the traffic came into our room as well. Overall, our stay was so good that my husband left a handwritten note for the manager who was coming in after we left.

Loved the pool, nice size gym with a good selection of cardio equipment & weights. Nice coffee bar area & cocktail bar area. Spacious room, beds comfortable. The draw backs are bathroom could be more spacious & updated & with better lighting. Women need to bring their own lighted makeup mirror if you use one, highly recommended because of the lighting. If you want room freshened up each day, need to call front desk each day or your request will be forgotten. Lastly, check your bill upon check out. Another rooms coffee bar charge was accidentally charged to our room.

i booked for the convenient location next to an event I was attending the following day. I ordered the breakfast without knowing the opportunity I was booking ahead of my stay. When I asked about how the breakfast worked when I checked in, the registrar said you'll just use the key to go to the 9th floor and the breakfast buffet and all the coffee you want is available beginning at 7a. And, she said, you can go there this evening and enjoy appetizers and a beverage until 10p. I was meeting a friend for dinner...we stayed on the 9th floor visiting in comfort and quiet for 4 hours over a glass of wine and yummy appetizers. What I bonus it was. Many thanks for the stay.

Recently renovated, lovely hotel with friendly staff. Conveniently situated in down town area right next to Convention Center. Very clean. Starbucks on site but not open all day, but most of the day. Onsite restaurant and bar. Beautiful lobby. Lots of free parking. Security on site at night. Felt very safe. Stay over Thanksgiving and ate one breakfast in hotel which was ok but not great. Would absolutely stay here again when in Bakersfield.

There was some noise (motor or flushing noise) since our room was next to the elevator.

Came to Bakersfield for a soccer tournament. Family of 6 and we booked 2 rooms. The rooms were big, clean, and the beds were so comfortable. They had sofas in each room that pulled out into beds as well and we asked for extra bedding for those so we had more then enough sleeping space. There's a mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave in room.The front desk staff, and breakfast staff were so helpful, and very nice!! Breakfast was hot and ready and there was enough options to choose from with kids to feed. The coffee downstairs was AMAZING!! Check out is at 12pm which was really nice so we didn't feel rushed to pack. There were restaurants around our area, and we were close to frwy.

After a horrible experience at a Choice Hotel the night before, I was a bit apprehensive staying here but I needn't have worried. Check in was gracious and friendly. The room was clean, quiet and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was hot with eggs, sausage, potatoes, various breads, muffins, waffle maker and cereal. The brewed coffee was delicious and fresh. Check out was friendly and quick. The lobby was very lovely with a beautiful chandelier and the most gorgeous fireplace. I will return to this property when visiting Bakersfield again.

We were a travel group of 7 and had four rooms. Hotel is quite fine, ideally located with a parking lot directly at the hotel. The staff at check-in and overall stay was very friendly and very helpful in all questions. Breakfast is quite ok, not a huge buffet selection but you have all you need to start the day. Rooms are spacious and clean, also very quiet. The location is directly at the highway exit and easy to reach, some restaurants around in the area but you have to drive to most of them a few minutes. Definitely a good location to stay overnight.

Room smelled kind of funky but fabreeze helped. Overall a great experience, spacious room. Room was turned down nicely and fresh bathroom towels replenished daily. Free coffee in the lobby tasted surprisingly good. Breakfast buffet had plenty of options. Workers were friendly. Pool was under renovation but we didn't need it. But what was exceptional was the professionalism and helpfulness of the concierge, especially Danielle. Thank you!

This hotel was a lucky find. I needed last minute accommodations, and this spot provided all comforts at a very reasonable cost! My building was dated and did not have an elevator. But my room was totally renovated, including the bathroom - modern, clean, beautiful, and comfortable. Big screen TV, mini fridge, and a terrific AC unit. Staff was SO accommodating and helpful! Lobby snack bar was a nice touch, accessible 24/7. I also discovered there was beautiful park just behind it, Mill Creek, and the Bakersfield MOMA as part of it, and good restaurants, all in walking distance. This hotel is in a great little nook in Bakersfield.

The room was very spacious, clean, well equipped (coffee maker, iron, microwave, hairdryer, lots of furniture) and warm. air con was working well. staff was super nice and helpful! breakfast was a ‘grab and go’ type. yea and coffee available near reception. there’s a bar at the hotel too.

On the edge of downtown, this hotel is clean, and well maintained. The design approach is fun and professional. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Quiet area and close to the train station. Excellent value.

The room was well outfitted with quality toiletries in the shower, a microwave and large mini refrigerator, as well as a k-cup coffeemaker. The beds were very comfortable. The bath also had both a safety mat and grab bar. The main lobby has a plush seating area, a coffee bar, and there is a decent sized outdoor swimming pool. The hotel is literally across the street from the Amtrak station, so very convenient if one is traveling by train. Desk service was efficient, and the clerk asked if I wanted extra coffee pods and I would like a paper receipt, both of which were appreciated.

My 1 night in an accessible suite was pleasant. The highlight was the breakfast buffet with a nice variety of yumminess in food & beverages. I know more about the lives of total strangers than I ever wanted to know thanks to loud conversations in the hall. While my dog was walking me around the immediate surrounding area it was quiet except their air conditioning which is unavoidable. I apologize on behalf of irresponsible pet parents leaving "packages" behind. Alas, I did not have extra bags to fix their faux pas. About a dozen used mattresses were piled by dumpsters, I hope for disposal. Signs of wear & tear were evident, but relatively easily fixed. Examples: wallpaper peeling off in bathroom, areas in roll-in shower where grab bars & plumbing connect with shower wall need caulking. It may only be the accessible room I used, but the layout could be improved. The bathroom door kept slowly opening until it met the closet wall blocking access to the bed A barn door might be a solution depending code & ADA regulations. Access to the toilet would be easier if the toilet was facing the sink instead of the back closet wall. It seems interior bathrooms without a window should be required to have a vent/fan, but I guess not. I would stay again.

Staff very friendly and attentive. Room spacious and very clean. Close to shopping center. Lobby and pool very well maintained. We are a family of 4 and needed and extra bed, courteously the main receptionist send us a roller bed that was very clean and comfortable. They provided us with extra pillows and bed sheet. I will stay again if I need to travel back to Bakersfield.

A lovely hotel in a good area of Bakersfield. The room was really comfortable, super comfy bed, power shower over the bath and convenient parking. Lots of restaurants in a short walking distance. Breakfast was perfect. lots of choice.

My husband and I were both impressed with everything related to our one-night stay. Staff were friendly yet professional and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast and dinner were good (great biscuits and fruit, and omelette). My husband enjoyed the pool. Everything met our needs for our stay and should we need to stay overnight again in Bakersfield, we will stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton. A good value. 😁

The trip was really nice I think that the deposit was a little bit much for someone that lived in Bakersfield I had to have a $250 deposit that was a little steep. The breakfast was cooked to perfection unlike other hotels that have the same setup whoever cooked did a very good job it was flavorful and everything was well stocked. The only thing that I did not like is that there was so many flies and that Jacuzzi that I had to clean it before I even got into it, the pool was cold.

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bakersfield Central by IHG offers a solid and dependable option for travelers visiting Bakersfield. Its prime location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and valuable amenities, especially the complimentary breakfast, make it a worthwhile choice. The place is currently mostly renovated and the refresh is nice, with a bit more modern decor than the one in the online pictures. Staff is friendly and inviting, quick to answer any requests. They do clean the room daily but after a few days there I could tell that the floors in the bathroom weren’t mopped and the sheets were changed only every few days too. Overall, convenient and safe, easy to get in and out of.

We booked last minute and we were able to get a king suite that had 2 queen beds in a separate room. This was amazing since we had our 2 kids with us. The room also had ceiling fans which is unheard of in hotels and a very nice surprise. Overall the room was comfortable and spacious. There weren’t a ton of extras in the room, just a desk and wet bar, but we didn’t need much so it was perfect.

This is a seriously underrated hotel! It's was extremely clean, comfortable and quiet. We arrived after a long day of driving from Vegas, to Death Valley to Bakersfield so we we're exhausted. Check in was super quick, our bed was very comfortable and there was no noise whatsoever. I had read reviews about an average breakfast but this was not our experience. Breakfast was exceptional! The selection was simple but delicious -omelette, sausages oatmeal,cereal, bread pastries, waffles, tea, coffee and juices. We had a bit of everything twice, I've honesty never tasted a Breakfast so good.

We enjoyed our time at the Hampton Inn & Suites North-Airport. We found Chris at the front desk very helpful and kind. We also appreciated the 24 hour coffee station. We did like the Continental Warm breakfast. Only wish we had had better scrambled eggs, and other varieties of protein. The little convenience store in the Lobby was really helpful as well. The property did feel safe, however a bit further down the street there are some unhoused people who roam the area. We loved the large parking spot, and cleanliness of our room. Our shower head just may need a little work, it had some issues with water flow, and the shower head was not adjustable as well as though it might have been. Overall, a good place to stay near the staples and easy to park at.

I've stayed a various places in Bakersfield over the years and keep coming back to this motel. I'm going to just stay here for now on. This is a great motel. Extremely clean, great wifi, tv, extremely comfortable. They have a breakfast (bagels, toast, waffles, orange juice etc) that was perfect for me (bagel, coffee and OJ). But it's located very close to a lot of restaurants. In fact, almost next door there's a wonderful butffet style restaurant. HIGHLY recommended since I've come here often over the years and decided. Why go anywhere else? It's perfect.

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. It had good facilities, the price included breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful. Good location. Fantastic value for money. Would recommend

Everything except for the shower in 217 squeals the entire time you’re showering, so the shower wasn’t as relaxing as it could have been. Other than that, amazing. You can tell it’s well ran.

This is our second time staying. The location is very convenient with many shops and restaurants nearby. Easy and quick commute to downtown. The area is safe and clean. The facility is clean and well laid out. The pool and breakfast were good. The rooms are clean and well laid out but some surfaces are showing wear. The 2 bedroom units are a plus. The staff were very friendly and professional.

We stayed here for two nights recently and I am here to say that it was a great experience. The place is cozy, quiet, clean, and close to shops and restaurants within walking distance. Everything is availabe inside the rooms; details such as your morning coffee to soap, utensils, and everything else in between. they really make you comfortable and give your experience a "homey" feeling. Christine at the front desk was so helpful and patient. I have to thank Operations Manager Lucia for making my stay especially comfortable. The room was clean and very spacious. I found the bed and pillows very comfortable and enjoyed a restful evening.

The only real issue I had was that there was no hot water in the shower - if fact, it didn't even reach luke warm. However, in all other ways, it met my needs, so I would stay here again and hopefully the kack of hot water issue would not recur.

My family and I have stayed here before and it is always clean from the lobby to the rooms. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. And pet friendly. Quiet, comfortable, clean I definitely recommend this hotel.

The reservation stated "Breakfast Included". As with any other reservations I've made which included breakfast, it meant a full complimentary breakfast. The hotel only offered coffee, granola bars and muffins that I could see. Those are really just snacks and would not even be considered a "Continental" Breakfast.

I couldn't find the breakfast, which is why we booked here. But the staff was amazing and super helpful so I am still super happy we stayed here! Rooms were clean and beds were comfy after our long days at the track.

The hotel is in a good location, which is hard to find in Bakersfield for a decent price. Most hotels in Bakersfield are infested with prostitution and drugs. This one however is not!!! The staff was very friendly and on top of their jobs. There was an unfortunate malfunction with my door, but the manager ended lunch early and got the maintenance tech out there (on his day off too), to fix the issue. Then he gave me a discount for the inconvenience! The room was comfortable, clean, and has a full size refrigerator, stove, and microwave. Would recommend to anyone who wants a clean decently priced room without having to deal with all of the bugs, hookers, and drugs that most of the other hotels in Bakersfield have to offer.

Sadie when were 1st arrived was very cheery and helpful, we asked for a quiet room at the back of the hotel which was provided. Grounds of the hotel were beautifully maintained with a nice restaurant that served good food and bar in the hotel complex (good karaoke night). We requested a quiet room (which it was on our 1st night) the 2nd night we had a noisy couple who argued, swore and generally shouted at each other all night… not the hotels fault but with the amount of rooms in the complex I’m not sure why if someone asks specifically for a quiet room they then proceed to place someone next to you. The room could have done with a fresh cost of paint and it looked a little tired. Bed and bedding were comfortable and clean (pillows were a little firm so not as comfortable but I prefer softer pillows). Towels appeared good quality and clean and replaced daily. Free secure car park. Pool area nice… a little busy on the Saturday.

When you first come in to the lobby it’s beautifully decorated and clean! The staff was very welcoming and friendly the hotel is very clean and well kept up my room had an amazing view of the pool which was awesome too! The decor was very nice and the bed was very comfortable!

Clean, spacious and quiet! Very good price for what you’re getting! 1 suggestion, use cash for your deposit because it takes forever if you use a card! Other than that I don’t have anything negative to add. I slept like a baby…the bed was so comfortable!

It was great. And it's a clean an friendly place. The housekeepers are excellent and friendly. I recommend this place for family traveling and it's close to fast food restaurants too.

Friendly front desk, clean room, comfy bed, parking, good location and feels safe. Would stay here again.

Friendly staff. Clean room. Hot water. Great water pressure. Hot/Cold water lines are reversed in the shower room 208. Breakfast is cereal or waffles. Several coffee options. I wish they had some bananas. Denny's, Starbucks and In-N-Out less than a block away.

The staff at this property has done a great job at establishing a culture of service. From the moment I checked in all the way up until my slightly late checkout, the office staff, the housekeeping staff and the food service staff were gracious and worked to meet every request I made. In addition, the room was clean and in good repair. Finally, the breakfast buffet was kept well-stocked and very clean. I was impressed by this Vagabond and I plan to return whenever I need a room in the area.

The facility was secure with cameras and well lit. Very comfortable and clean room. A simple free breakfast with waffles and cereal with orange juice and coffee to save money for one meal was great. Love the food and grocery options around.

Sandy checked us in quickly and gave us our same room we usually get. The room is always clean and fresh. Breakfast is included in the cost if the room which saves a little money if your on a budget. It’s always a good stay here.

The beds were comfy and the staff, very helpful...also good air. Fridge and counter space very nice...breakfast and microwave 👌

We've stayed at the Quality Inn and Suites Bakersfield several times. Each stay has been great! Staff are excellent - very helpful and accommodating. Room is spacious and comfortable. Some issues this time (hair dryer not functional) - not a deal breaker. Larger mini fridge, microwave, and a BALCONY off our room - always awesome! Area around the property is NOT great! Not the hotel's problem - just is what it is. We wouldn't walk to anywhere from the property after dark... personal choice. Breakfast has been improved over the years. Enjoyed the eggs & sausage offerings, waffles, yogurts, and juices. Time of breakfast is STRICT...6:30am to 9am cut off! Our only suggestion would be to EXTEND the breakfast time to 9:30am? 9am is early... Thanks for another great stay, Quality Inn Bakersfield! We'll be back soon!

The hotel building is safe and interior is clean and very well maintained. As a single female business traveler, I felt safe. The access to inside the hotel and rooms have a card controlled access, once inside, it is quiet and clean! The pool is small but clean. The staff is supportive. Will stay again! The area is a typical small town suburb, it is Bakersfield, after all. If you are used to Marriott or a downtown area with trendy shops/eateries, this may not be for you.

Despite the fact that this hotel seems to be located in a not so good neighborhood, we felt safe. The hotel was very clean and had all the amenities, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We liked the fact that the floor was vinyl instead of carpet as well, and they serve breakfast. Price for the room was great!

The place is clean. We like our room. It is really clean with clean towels and bathroom. It matters to us. The bed sheets are clean. Will now consider checking in Quality Inns if ever we go on a trip again. Saying this because we stayed again at Quality Inn in Barstow and it was also clean. And the staff in Barstow Quality Inn named Alicia is so friendly and considerate about our room being near to where we were parked.
