Banbury Cross.B & B is a charming and cozy place to stay. The Victorian decor is lovely, our room was extremely clean and comfortable, and the proprietor, Michelle was a wonderful hostess, very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the teas, coffee, & cookies provided in our room, and the optional breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of choices, freshly. made to order by Michelle herself. Communication with her before our arrival was excellent as well. The location was good, within walking distance of several restaurants and coffee shops, & close to a bus stop.

Lovely house, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The double bedroom with ensuite bathroom was spacious and comfortable. Generous and tasty breakfast options. Attentive owner. Convenient location. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay at the Banbury cross. A lovely room with a comfy bed, which is unusual for me at least, I usually find hotel bed uncomfortable and wake with a bad back. The room was spotless with good facilities, tea, coffee, water biscuits replenished every day as my husband ate them all! Breakfast was delicious and we were able to choose the breakfast items we wanted, the food was freshly cooked and hot all of this was served up by the lovely friendly owner Michelle for whom nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend a stay here and would not hesitate to make a return visit if we were to return to the area

This is the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in! Everything was perfect. The room was great value and stunning. The bed was glorious and cosy. Everything was immaculate and spotlessly clean. The owner was friendly and lovely to talk to. The surroundings are quiet but still within walking distance of Banbury. I will definitely stay here again!

A beautiful home to stay in! The room (Large Double Room with En-Suite Shower) and bathroom were immaculate. The bed was super comfortable. Our host was friendly and lovely to chat with. Breakfast was hearty and delicious! Parking was easy and the location perfect to walk into Banbury.

Host was very pleasant and helpful. Had a small room but it had everything I needed including fresh milk (and a fridge to use if you wanted to in the breakfast room), good wifi, nice size TV, large shower and comfy bed. Had a delicious cooked breakfast. Room very clean. 15 minutes away from the British motor Museum.

Extremely charming hostess made our stay very enjoyable. It’s a small B&B (5 rooms), with average size rooms, but immaculately clean, very comfortable (ie nice size and firm bed, lovely temperature maintained during quite chilly weather etc). The cooked breakfast was delicious and there was ample off street free parking. The town centre is a 5 minute walk away. There were plenty of very good restaurants within walking distance. Lots of nice places to visit in the vicinity. Would recommend the place to anyone wanting to stay in a quiet area of Banbury.

The room and beds were comfortable and very clean. The host was very attentive and friendly. Gave a lovely welcome and cooked a fab breakfast! I always find that sausages are hit and miss on a breakfast and can't stand when they are too Herby/spicy. These sausages were perfect and the meal was cooked perfectly. Thank you for a very relaxing and pleasant stay. Would recommend and will definitely return if visiting this area again.

It was in a great location, short walk into town. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very comfortable and well maintained. I thought the homemade flapjack was a very nice touch and exceptionally tasty! The breakfast was delicious and great tasting coffee too! Overall will definitely be back, great guest house and really good value for money.

Small ground floor room but its what we expected. The en-suite shower room was good. We stayed for 2 nights as a base for exploring Banbury and Oxford so we were only in the room first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing. They catered for our vegetarian requirements no problem. The bed was comfortable and the bed clothes clean and fresh smelling.

The hotel was placed in a very convenient location to explore the best areas of the Cotswold. We had a "garden room" which was very convenient to come and go as we pleased (as the pub shuts after a certain time of the day with restricted access to certain rooms) and it was super quiet, despite being one of the busiest period of the year (Easter). The king size bed was very comfy, the bathroom had double sinks and a big shower/ bath. Breakfast was served a la carte (no buffet) but it was very tasty! We had both English and Continental breakfast options and both were very good! Ample parking, very friendly and helpful staff, cozy pub / conservatory area. Overall a very positive stay. :)

We booked the King Room and it was fantastic. Spacious, yet cosy and comfortable with a huge bathroom. Lots of hot water, comfy bed, and great wifi. I wouldn't go expecting a super cosy pub though. Most of it has been turned into a restaurant; there aren't many cosy nooks to settle into and enjoy a drink. The breakfast options were very varied. We had the full English the first day and the Columbian eggs the second - both were delicious! The meal we had was also brilliant. The location of The George is perfect for exploring the area, and the village itself is beautiful.

All staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout. We had breakfast there and dinner one of the nights and all of the food was amazing. Lovely, cosy and clean hotel in a peaceful village. Loved that it was dog friendly aswell and they had a little resident dog who was so cute. Manager Claire was wonderful.

Breakfast was exceptional. Extensive breakfast menu. Portions were excellent. Staff were very attentive. Good evening Menu offering both Alacarte and pub classics. We chose alacarte since we were celebrating. Food was beautififully cooked, by the Chef. Bar was excellent. Offered Cocktail of the week, which was delicious. Also good choices behind the bar. Our room was lovely. Had a hallway with large modern bathroom off and then large bedroom with all expected amenities.

The crown in was well situated and the environment was warm,,cozy and welcoming on arrival with adequate car parking. Great selection of bar drinks, beer bar environment and welcoming by locals. Board games, cards and maps for local walks . Breakfast and restaurant for evening meal was again a lovely comfortable environment. The staff very helpful, friendly , attentive and accommodating. Excellent chef in the kitchen who created great food with his own unique twist on local produce. Both breakfast and evening meal were delicious with clear attention to detail - chef is a keeper : ). Room was cozy, comfortable with everything in the space we needed to make for a restful and comfortable stay.

The Crown, Church Enstone, is probably one of the nicest places I've stayed at for a long time. The location was perfect and made it easy to reach the various towns and villages in the surrounding area. The Inn was nice and tucked away too, which made the dining, drinking and living experience really enjoyable. The food was amazing, the chef clearly likes to experiment with different flavours and make some unique dishes. Breakfast was tasty and well presented, and the dining experience was very relaxing. The room was so nice too, the bed was unbelievably comfy and the bathroom looked amazing. We cannot fault the place one bit, and we'd go back again in a heartbeat.

The hotel was in a perfect location, quiet and beautiful village. The room was quaint, delightful, and the bed was so very comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and really pleasant, and they put the customer first at every opportunity, they were extremely attentive and listened to the clients needs, providing everything the clients requested. The Breakfast was lovely, and the food in the evening was exceptional.

Room was amazing .. lots of different types of teas and coffee and little bottles of fresh milk with homemade biscuits ..I chose this room because of the bathroom, very nice! We had dinner and breakfast from the super friendly staff to the delicious food it was perfect.

Stunning historic building with very comfortable rooms & beds. Great having bar/restaurant on site & enjoyed breakfast & dinner there during our stay - every meal delicious. Parking outside the door or in carpark. Very friendly staff which made our visit all the more enjoyable.

The Red Lion Inn was an excellent place to stay & base yourself at for exploring the area. From when we arrived the staff were very friendly, helpful and extremely hardworking. Our room was tasteful, spotless and comfortable - with lots of extra touches like a coffee machine, homemade shortbread & Molton Brown toiletries. We ate in the pub and the food was superb, a good choice for all palates. We had a table inside but there was also a beautiful garden. As we had an extremely early start, we requested a continental breakfast. This was ready outside our room when we got up and was excellent. Fresh fruit, cereal, pastries and chilled juice. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if in the area. Thank you to all the staff & ‘Bella’ for being so welcoming.

On arriving at the Red Lion, the premises looked beautiful from the outside, and we were not disappointed on entering the bar. We were greeted by a burning fire and very warm welcome from the staff. We were upgraded to another room on arrival and it was truly beyond expectations in all ways. The room was exceptionally clean, the bathroom amenities were excellent. We had dinner in the restaurant and again, it exceeded expectations for both myself and my partner. The staff were extremely friendly and full of advice. We went for a 2 hour walk the following morning and the countryside was stunning. The choice of options for dinner and again breakfast were excellent and I considered it very good value for money.

Lovely country pub/hotel, cozy and atmospheric. The bar had two log burners, which added to the cozy feel. Our room was lovely, well appointed with a really comfy bed. The best element by far was the food, we had an evening meal, delicious, the beef shin just fell apart it was so tender. Breakfast was just as good. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. We will definitely be returning.

The Red Lion in Long Compton is that rare thing, a genuinely welcoming, brilliantly run gastropub which is also good value. The lovely staff went out of their way to make me feel at home after a long, foggy night-time drive, and my single room while small was perfectly formed, from a Roberts radio, quality coffee and good bedding to spotless power shower and Molton Brown toiletries. Breakfast was generous and delicious; dogs are catered for with homemade treats; there's an excellent and unusual range of non-alcoholic drinks for those extending dry January; and my only regret is that I arrived having already dined elsewhere. One of the managers, Jonathan, even bothered to arrange the postage of an item I had managed to leave behind - thank you Lisa and Jonathan for such helpful service. I look forward to my next visit.

The staff were extreamly friendly and very attentive! We understood they were dog friendly but this exceeded our expectations. There were lovely dog towels, bowls and even throw for the bed for the dogs. The breakfast was included in our booking and was delicious, plenty of choice as well as being able to have a starter and main for breakfast!! We also ate our dinner there and this was also very wonderful. 10/10 and would definitely stay again!

We loved our 2-night stay at The George. The community of Shipston-on-Stour is picture perfect, and The George offered everything we were hoping for in our first visit to the Cotswalds. The restaurant is excellent, with a varied menu that felt both local and first class. The room was very comfortable, with an especially beautiful bathroom that featured a very modern double shower. The added touches like a fresh-baked cookie left in our room and handy access to the main floor pub and gorgeous pub patio made the stay even more special. We had hired a car, and parking was convenient and abundant, both in the hotel's own small parking lot as well as on the street. I would highly recommend including the breakfast option in your reservation - the pre-paid breakfast included both a continental buffet and a hot breakfast off the menu. The hot breakfast options were exceptional and very good value.

This was our second stay at the George. It's a lovely pub with rooms, with a great location. The manager and staff are welcoming. The rooms are really clean, smart, modern but in keeping with the building. Great bathrooms and amenities including Nespresso machine. The food in the restaurant is excellent. We only had a few areas for improvement. Firstly, our Saturday evening 7.30 restaurant booking started well, but at 8pm a singer/guitarist started playing in the bar. It was very loud (and he wasn't very good either) and it stopped all conversation on our table. I made a quiet complaint to ask if there was any way he could be turned down. He was on for 2 hours. There were hardly any people in the bar listening so all it did was provide a negative experience to diners. Unfortunately the service also deteriorated after the starters with our mains not arriving until 8.45. the music after a short break, resumed, and we decided to skip dessert. This didn't happen the last time we were there but if this happens on a Saturday night going forward it will influence our decision to eat in the restaurant. The other issue was that our bed this time was far too soft and uncomfortable. Again, this wasn't the case the last time so maybe it was just that room. Breakfast, however, was superb and service back on point. The George is very nearly a perfect Cotswold bolthole and we hope to stay again.

The property was in a convenient location for exploring the Cotswolds and surrounding area. The room was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well furnished. The bar area and restaurant were comfortable and spacious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We had enjoyed an evening meal and breakfast during our stay and the food was faultless.

We stayed for one night (Valentine's day). Lots of good points: *Room was cosy and clean. *Bed was really comfortable. *Bathroom was huge with a big walk-in shower. *Staff were friendly and helpful *On-site free car park. *Food was AMAZING!!! (we pre-booked evening meal) *We were even shown to our room (rare these days!) Just a few negatives (if I really had to be picky): *Cocktails were poor. *No wardrobe, just two coat hooks to hang your clothes. Overall, we had a great stay in a lovely hotel, with great food and friendly service. Will definitely stay here again!!

This is a lively pub and you need to be aware of that if expecting more of a hotel environment. Unfortunately no lounge area or area to relax except for the bar/pub area. In addition there was no soft seating or easy chair in the room so the only option was to sit on the bed or a standard dining type chair. Bed was very comfortable and there was a nespresso coffee machine in the room. Shower was good with rain shower as well as hand held shower, but unfortunately you had to be quick as the shower tray filled up quite quickly and was slow to drain away. Very close to overflowing in just 3/4 minutes in the shower. Having said all of that the service and staff were excellent, the price reasonable and breakfast was fantastic. Overall we enjoyed our mini break.

The quality of the accommodations offered by Dashwood Apartments are outstanding. It's comfortable, well insulated, clean, fully equipped. It really felt like a home away from home. The owner and people working there are easy to reach and they are very helpful. There is parking. Location is ideal. 5-10 minutes away from the town centre at most. It is very quiet and located in a calm and peaceful neighbourhood. If you need somewhere to stay in Banbury, look no further. We are never going to search for anything else! Great value for money! Easy to find yet located in a quite neighbourhood so noise is not an issue here. Plenty of parking spaces too. Spacious rooms and living/dining room that is combined with kitchen. Simple, a little bit outdated but perfectly functional furniture, fixtures and appliances guarantee a comfortable stay. The bathroom, probably, is the most exceptional element of the whole apartment: clean, with a nice and big shower and well-running water. The beds were comfortable, and the cot for the small child was very handy so we didn't have to carry our own. We can recommend it!

Lovely spacious apartment in a very convenient and quiet location close to town centre. The apartment was very well appointed with a really good kitchen and fast WiFi. On -site parking was good whilst we were there. The apartment and surrounding grounds were clean and very well maintained. We'd definitely stay again.

I had only booked an apartment for 1 night, for a catch-up with old colleagues, so I didn’t need all the facilities. The apartment was spotlessly clean throughout, the kitchen area was very well equipped with all the appliances of home. The living area was spacious and a tv in both the living area and bedroom. Parking was plentiful, and the surrounding area was quiet. Local grocery shops were only a couple of minutes walk away. If I had to have a criticism it would be the bed. To most I’m sure it would be comfortable, but I am used to a firm/hard mattress, but the one on the bed was quite soft, so I’m certain it would be a purely personal criticism. Next time I visit the area, Dashwood Apartments will be my first go to choice 😊

Our stay at Ashlea Guest House was wonderful. The hosts were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Although we didn't have breakfast, we were satisfied with the comfort of the accommodation and the peaceful atmosphere. The location was also perfect for exploring the area. We would gladly stay again and highly recommend Ashlea Guest House to other travelers.

Everything about my stay at Ashlea House was excellent. Friendly, helpful landlady, clean quiet room, safe and convenient location, and multiple delicious breakfast choices. I'd definitely stay again if I'm back in Banbury!

Nice and clean room, well equipped and with comfortable bed. The location is very good and the place is easy to reach. The breakfast was hearty and very tasty, with nice verity of cereals, jams, juices, a very good omelette and even small cakes. Parking is spacious and easy to get in and out and most important helpful and attentive hosts.

Our visit was perfect for our purposes. We received a friendly, open welcome from Ayman, who was able to provide all the information we required for our stay. We were very satisfied with our warm comfortable room with large bathroom (en-suite) and very comfortable bed. The general appearance of the property was bright and very well kept. The property is in a perfect location for access to Banbury itself (as it is within walking distance of the town centre) and all routes south. We did not sample breakfast as we were visiting friends in the town but we are sure, from the general standard at Ashley Guest house that breakfast would be of the same standard as the rest of the property - super. Can recommend Ashley for both short and long term stays in this area.

All was excellent, except for the noise from the road, (we were in the front bedroom in front of the traffic lights) as it's on a very busy junction, and as it was very hot you couldn't close the windows to block out some of the noise. Room very clean,bed great, pillows great!! Shower room very clean and very nice. Breakfast freshly cooked and very good.Julie and Ayman, who ran the Guest House were very friendly. Would recommend this Guest House and return if we went back to S-U-A. The guest house is about a 15 minute walk into the town for the restaurants if needed.

I could not have asked for more. This place was perfect! From the moment I booked I found the service to be first class. I received a text from Nicky welcoming me to the property with some details of how to get through the gate on arrival and asking if there was anything we needed. The cottage was both exceptionally clean and had an immediate feel of a home away from home. There was fresh milk in the fridge and a box of biscuits, along with coffee and tea which was a nice touch, and also tablets for the dishwasher etc. We spoke to Nicky a couple of times while we were there and she was really kind and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The location of the property also meant that everything was really easy to get to. There is a Sainsburys just up the road along with some other shops including a Costa and a local pub although we didn't try the pub / restaurant as we cooked at the cottage. Again, everything was spotless. The oven looks brand new and the kitchen was equipped with every baking tray or utensil we needed. The bathroom was again spotless and the bedrooms were made up exactly as we needed them and were comfy and warm. I genuinely don't think we could have had a better experience and we will definitely be returning again soon.

This cottage is perfect for a weekend get away. It’s so quite and peaceful with lovely views of the courtyard and fields at the back. Perfect for sitting outside in the summer (we went in the winter months) Nicky was super friendly and really helpful throughout our stay. We stayed in Maple Cottage. It had all the modern appliances including a coffee machine. The place was spotless and really nicely decorated it felt like being at home.

My list is long :- Nicky made my stay so welcoming and comfortable and is so friendly but also professional. The little touches milk tea coffee biscuits and flowers on the table. There was a lovely smell in the cottage all week and each time I came in it was so welcoming. The view from my patio was beautiful as I sat in the morning having my brew in the sunshine. The security at the farm was great as a solo traveler I felt really safe I didn’t want to leave but I will be back.

The apartment (Rowan) was so clean, comfortable and fully equipped. From friendly staff, to amazing grounds and a really super cosy apartment, everything was great. We were going to Silverstone and it was the perfect base for our stay. Really close to amenities. Really peaceful and fantastic views from our living room.

This was an amazing find and exceeded all my expectations. We were in the area for a family wedding and had looked at local hotels and then found this - and how pleased was I that I did. As a family party of 3 adults , this cottage covered all bases for us. It was far better value for money than any of the hotels. We had 2 separate bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms and plenty of space in the communal areas to all sit and relax. The outdoor patio area with table and chairs was a nice area to sit and enjoy the surrounding country side views with a coffee/wine (depending on time of day !) The cottage was spotless and finished to a high standard. Nicky our host was extremely welcoming, friendly and on hand to answer any questions - but in no way intrusive to our stay. I have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to others for value for money, ease of access, peace and quiet and general cleanliness of the property and surrounding garden/parking areas.

The location was stunning, set in peaceful countryside with beautiful views and plenty of space to relax. Our room was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and well equipped, although the mattress was a little too firm for us. Breakfast was a real highlight — freshly cooked, generous portions, and great quality ingredients. The historic building’s charm, combined with friendly, attentive staff, made for a memorable and relaxing short break.

Hidden away and so peaceful , was a very lovely break from travelling from south to north. very comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. wonderful power shower. coffee machine. everything you could ask for. beautiful surroundings and walks from the doorstep for our two lively pointers and the best breakfast you could wish for cooked to order. we will DEFINITELY be back. 😊

Wonderful setting very peaceful. We brought our dog with us our room had direct access to a lovely garden. Delicious breakfast, no bar or restaurant on site but we found a nice pub Fox & Hounds a couple of minutes away and had a very nice dinner there.

Spacious accommodation, very quiet and peaceful. Surrounded by amazing countryside. Great staff nothing was too much trouble. The local wild life was amazing. We saw deer and owls as well as all the sheep! Fabulous breakfast

We loved the experience of our visit, where the staff were brilliant. They were attentive, approachable and personable. Our small dog Reggie was welcomed well catered for which was great as you can get a bit anxious when taking your dog on your travels. The surroundings were stunning and well worth the visit, and if dining you get to sit and enjoy the views with their viewing gallery style windows. We left the dog in the room and went for breakfast so we could experience this and the breakfast was beautiful. There was plenty of option and the morning staff were attentive and welcoming. The food was exceptional - I had the lamb rump and husband had the ribs which were on the specials. Meat is sourced locally which I like, and and the prices were reasonable. We stayed in a dog friendly room which was clean and well laid out. The features of the castle were highlighted in the décor which was cool.

Enjoyed every minute in this wonderfully atmospheric building. Our comfortable room was in the old tower looking out over the battlefield, the Hook Norton beer in the bar was delicious and well-kept, the food in the evening was magnificent - the shin of beef excellent - and the service throughout friendly and efficient. We were a little disappointed on arrival to find that, as it was a week day, that breakfast was cold only and placed in the room, but as things panned out was plentiful after the night's dinner and probably for the best, so no complaints whatsoever. It is a must at the start of your stay to visit the church in the nearby village of Radway, where there is a permanent exhibition explaining in detail the Battle of Edgehill. After which sit at The Castle, look over the fields where such unthinkable carnage took place and see in your mind's eye that fateful day unfolding before you. It does provide food for thought and you may find yourself wondering how vastly different British history may have turned out had the King been the eventual winner; a discussion that provided healthy debate with others in the bar come evening time. Overall, a truly unique place, perfect for that special occasion or simply as a treat. Doubtful we'll return, but one never to be forgotten. Thanks to Dariusz and the Team - it was great!

Great relaxed atmosphere in a quiet rural setting. Rooms are solid stone, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Staff are genuinely friendly, very helpful and attentive. The accommodation is separate to the pub/restaurant so is calm and quiet. Whereas the pub has a vibrant friendly atmosphere.

We had the pleasure of staying one night at The Castle at Edgehill and from the moment we arrived, it felt like something truly special. The setting is breathtaking—perched high above the countryside with panoramic views that are impossible to tire of. Dinner that evening was absolutely spot-on. Every dish was a delight, beautifully presented and packed with flavour. The menu celebrates quality ingredients, and you can tell the chefs genuinely care about what they’re creating. Breakfast the next morning didn’t disappoint either—fresh, generous, and the perfect start to the day. But what really stood out to us was the team. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. A real credit to the place. If you're looking for somewhere with charm, character, incredible food, and the kind of service that leaves a lasting impression, we’d wholeheartedly recommend The Castle at Edgehill. We’ll definitely be back.

Following an unsuccessful scroll through Airbnb we had a look on Expedia and stumbled across Castle at Edgehill with late availability. We booked the room with the four poster bed which we learned was named Rupert. On arrival we were greeted by bar staff and shown to our room. Our room was in the turret. The stairs were steep to access the room (wouldnt recommend for anyone with mobility challenges). The views from the room were incredible and the team had left a breakfast hamper aswell as milk, juices and yoghurt in the mini fridge. The room was a great size, clean and had everything we needed. We had dinner both nights in the restaurant and the food & service was exceptional. We had a brilliant stay and are already planning our return. Thanks Castle at Edgehill for a brilliant stay!

Not a traditional hotel as such, best described as blocks of bedsit type rooms with access to a bar and restaurant. The rooms come complete with job, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Our room was furthest from the restaurant, fortunately it was lovely weather, you would get a soaking if raining walking to breakfast. The room (712) was spacious, clean and very quiet. But it was so hot! Not sure why, all radiators were off. There are locked cupboards that I think contain a boiler (not sure how fuelled but gas I should think) and other plumbing and these seemed quite warm at all times. I mentioned this to reception who said they would get maintenance to have a look but I’m not sure they were taking much notice. Also the hot water was scaldingly hot. This is dangerous and either warnings should be given or the temperature reduced. Breakfast was good and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend with the warning that the room price is fairly expensive for what you get though this is an expensive part of the country. Of course if you are a golfer (I’m not!) this could be the perfect place for a weekend break.

Very spacious, clean and comfortable, front desk very friendly and helpful, bar and restaurant seemed nice, car park also spacious and aggravation free was great value for the price. Was quiet as well. No annoying key cards and electric going off either.

The property was so lovely, comfortable and peaceful. We were upgraded for free upon arrival which was so lovely as me and my partner were away for our birthdays. The room had so much space with a lovely patio overlooking the golf course. The room had everything you need including an ironing board, all utensils and crockery to cook with, dishwasher, washing machine etc. the reception staff were also very friendly. We had a wonderful night sleep, bed was very spacious and comfortable. The location is also perfect. A very relaxing night away.

Brilliant location & beautiful views! The property is having some needed renovations done but that doesn’t spoil your stay. The rooms are comfortable and include everything you need. The staff are welcoming & helpful. The bar and restaurant area’s are nice, welcoming and spacious. Lovely stay!

Check in was easy, we appreciated being upgraded, room was spacious and light filled. Staff were friendly and helpful. View from Golf side room was peaceful. Breakfast was great and take out option for dinner was just what we wanted.

Lovely comfortable place in a good location for our trip. Free parking. very clean and comfortable. Room on the small size but fine for a few nights, request a larger room for a longer stay perhaps. Very clean and comfortable, and our room and the back was lovely and quiet, even with the windows open. Great breakfast and really lovely staff, Deborah the manager could teach other hospitality staff how to treat guests, so welcoming and friendly.

Beautiful property with a lovely manager, Debbie who was incredibly helpful and greeted me when I arrived. The room was beautifully decorated and more than adequate size wise. Absolutely spotless with a very comfortable bed. Facilities to make tea and coffee, a hair dryer which is always a necessity and clean white towels provided. Even the housekeeping staff were friendly and polite in the morning when I left, overall a lovely, friendly, warm and welcoming place to stay.

I booked Easington Guesthouse for my business trip stay and I felt 100% comfortable. I really don’t understand some negative comments / ratings here. The house is very old but isn’t it normal for UK? Exactly this gives the Charme. The rooms are very clean, the beds comfortable (I slept so well!!), of course it creaks when you walk in your room and you hear your neighbours above walking around as well but this is normal in old houses like this. Deborah is such a lovely host. Welcoming and goodbye was very warm. She really cares and all questions were answered very helpful. Breakfast is simple but delicious. I looove this earl grey tea!! Parking area available and if you are able to handle and drive a car ( ;-) ) you won’t have problems to find a parking lot. Looking forward to next week for my third stay!

The staff were so friendly and welcoming, every day checking if needed anything and were enjoying our stay. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were great. Lovely location, too, close to the town and very quiet and peaceful at night. I couldn't fault our stay

The staff were exceptionally helpful - a special mention for Daniel, who was keen to meet all our needs. The hotel is in a good location for daily travel to Cropredy festival. The room was clean and comfortable. Parking was easy and close to the entrance. Breakfast was extremely good, with a continental buffet plus a wide choice of cooked breakfast for both veggies and meaties. The two lunches we had were very good.

The holt was in a good location, 1st initial thoughts was very good, downstairs bar area, restaurant and outside courtyard was beautiful, clean and tidy, plenty of comfortable seating areas with music playing in the back ground. We opted to have our evening meal at the restaurant, being out early and exploring made it easy for us to come back and eat at the hotel. Food was really good and staff were pleasant and friendly, we thought the bar prices were not too bad too. Our room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable, bathroom was ok, walk in shower, towels lovely and big and white. Breakfast was good, the usual English breakfast, a wide variety of cereals, brown & white bread for toast, fruit ( tinned)with yoghurt or Greek yoghurt option, small selection of continental - ham , cheese, croissant and fruit juices and tea and coffee.

Plenty of parking , staff were great , helpful and attentive. The Bar , dining and breakfast rooms were spacious and comfortable . Plenty of drinks choice , not too bad a price either . We had booked a table for dinner which was a wise decision as people were being turned away later as dining had reached its full capacity . We had fish and chips , it was ok , good portion . The bed was really comfortable and plenty of pillows . We stayed in a standard double room and it had everything we needed , no air con , which wasn’t needed the date we stayed but nice to be able to fully open the window unlike a lot of other places . The bathroom has clearly had a refurb recently and nice to get a large bath sheet unlike postage stamp size towels in other hotels ! Everything was really clean too . Breakfast was buffet style, I asked for poached eggs to order , came out perfectly cooked , plenty of choice both cooked and continental and coffee was very good. We sat out in the garden courtyard after breakfast , lovely and well kept .

Lovely hotel with plenty of parking. Superior double room was a good size with a table and chairs so you didn't have to sit on the bed to have a coffee or read. The bed was very firm, but I soon got used to it and had a decent night's sleep. It was nice to have a bath and shower over as a lot of places have just shower cubicles . Good tea and coffee making facilities in the room. A Nespresso machine too. Breakfast was a buffet which had a good choice of the usual items . We had dinner there as there is nowhere else in walking distance if you wanted a drink without getting a taxi. Saying that, the chicken and mushroom pie was delicious. The ladies on reception were very friendly and helpful with advice on places to go and the Oxford park and ride

My grandson and I look forward to Silverstone weekend every year and the icing on the cake is our stay at the Holt hotel. It is a quaint hotel with its own charm. Always welcomed by friendly helpful staff. Rooms are always clean and bed’s comfy. Plenty of hot water for shower. Even though hotel full quiet in evening, no noisy guests. We had a lovely evening meal which was tasty and plentiful. Service very good and staff friendly. This year breakfast started at 5.30am giving plenty of time to have something and then travel to track, well done for this service. We had such a good weekend that when we were leaving for home we booked up for next year not to miss out. Thank you to everyone working there.

Lovely staff. Very friendly. Right from check-in, Bar/Restaurant, breakfast & check-out staff. Room was very comfortable & clean. The Restaurant food was ok. If I’m being completely honest; peppercorn sauce is very watery; my steak was rare (not medium-to-well) and it’s on the pricey side. The breakfast & variety however was utterly wonderful. Would come back to stay but maybe have dinner elsewhere? 8 out of 10.

Fabulous place in a beautiful quiet village, couldn't fault anything. Our room was beautiful.. spacious, clean and comfortable, the staff were wonderful and the food was delicious. Had both an evening meal and breakfast and both were superb, would definitely visit again and would highly recommend.

The room was very comfortable, huge bed. Lovely view looking out and down through the Village High Street. The food was amazing, one of the best steaks we have ever eaten. Ate in the restuarant both evenings. Breakfast was great, good variety of meals plus pastries, cereals and toast - so were definitely well fed. Staff very friendly, helpful and polite. A lovely weekend away. Would definintely recommend and will most likely return again.

Well located in Banbury near to everything with a lovely park 5 mins walk away (The People's Park) for those who like a brisk start to tye day or who have a dog. It's a large pub with restaurant and beer garden and function marquee. Parking at the rear. I was on the 1st floor overlooking the road and not bothered by noise below or outside. Rooms are dated in terms of fixtures and fittings yet very clean with all you need including iron, ironing board and hairdryer, TV, lots of plug sockets. Plenty of tea and coffee and bottled water. Bathroom had bath and shower overhead with the fluffiest towels. Deep matress and good pillows, cotton bedding. Very good night's sleep. Worth noting for single Travellers that a double bedroom only costs a few pounds more and we'll worth it. I opted a continental breakfast as £7.50 yet for £12.50 you can have continental plus any hot breakfast dish....amazing value for money. Lovely welcoming and helpful staff. Recommended

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable (it would have benefitted from a second chair), and the breakfast was excellent. The location was also convenient, with the hotel's promising menu having to compete with an excellent Thai restaurant over the road (where the food was lovely, but the welcome a bit less warm than is wise for a restaurant).

Friendly staff at check in, very comfortable bed, clean and tidy, tea, coffee, etc. Room was warm and quiet although I was top floor at the back. Shower room could do with a refit but clean at least and shower worked well. Ample parking at rear of hotel. Can't really beat the location.

Best hotel stay! The staff are amazing, helpful and friendly. Clean comfy room, superb cooked breakfast. Dinner also good. The staff really do make this hotel a great place to stay.
