Great tub and shower, clean, comfortable beds. Quiet in the evening, so we slept great; and enjoyed the delicious buffet breakfast.

Hotel Torre Mar is modern, clean and comfortable. Good location for drivers, on the national road just north of Povoa de Varzim. There are restaurants, including one excellent seafood restaurant close by. A very good breakfast buffet is available every morning.

The staff were always helpful and friendly in my English or my attempts at portuguese. Breakfast on the roof was spectacular, great variety and fresh. Parking was available on site, clean rooms good beds, rooms looked recently renovated. Would definitely spend time there again. Muito obrigado.

Beautiful space, with a feel between the old and the modern. Loved the rustic stone walls through out the entire space while having all the modern acomodations. Very clean, and very peaceful and relaxing if you want to get out of the city. The owners are very nice and helful. We loved the space and would come back for sure. Recommend it. Even the two little dogs that greet everybody are nice and friendly 🐕 🐕 😀

Emilia Alves was exceptional, the nicest of smiles, concern and attention. It is owners like this that make a stay. The breakfast served was buffet and plentiful with fresh fruit and croissants etc and nothing was too much trouble. The pool just what I needed . I did google for a restaurant in the vicinity but found nothing so we took snacks however there is one nearby Arminda advised so perhaps this could be mentioned.

Pleasant country location. Very warm welcome. The sisters who own the property were very professional and extremely helpful. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was continental but good and plentiful. Very nice pool.

A real hidden gem, tucked away from the public roads. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice, cozy room, nice hosts. Highly recommend.

It was an absolutely quiet location, somewhere hidden in a small dead-end street, with the atmosphere of a house more than of a hotel. The different levels provided a cosy atmosphere. The swimming pool was also nice. You could also park the car on the premises. What we really liked was the flexibility and kindness of the owners. Unfortunately our car broke down, could not be repaired and we were being repatriated. So instead of 2 nights we were forced to stay for a few more nights, and the owners were so kind to accommodate us although we did not know how long we had to stay on. They were prepared to store the car at the hotel until it was to be towed. So thank you for this customer friendly attitude!

Super comfortable and brilliant dorm set up. Super modern and had all required items including large lockers with keys. Beds had curtains and extra space around the bed, even had small shelves. Pool was spectacular and lovely outside garden. Very modern kitchen and outdoor sitting area. Lovely place to wash your own clothes and hang on the line. Very close the the beach and beach side restaurants. Bunk beds were on a proper frame and made of proper mattresses. All very clean facilities and lovely bathrooms.

We had a lovely stay at Sea Soul Esposende! It is an outstanding, modern hostel. Eduardo was very kind and welcoming. There is a friendly vibe and homely atmosphere. Clean, spotless rooms and common areas, extremely comfortable beds with curtains for some privacy. Brilliant facilities, shop nearby. Lovely, spacious living rooms where you can rest. Unfortunately we didn't use the swimming pool because of the poor weather. One of the best stops on Camino. I definitely could stay there longer. Thank you Sea Soul!

This is the best accommodation we stayed during our 5 days visit in Portugal. We wish we could stay more than 1 night. The host was friendly and helpful. The house is stylish and clean; with lots of communal spaces to hang out (both indoor and outdoors). Our room was comfortable, bright and clean. There’s even facility for cleaning your clothes, and bikes you can borrow. It has exceeded our expectations and in such good value.

Excellent staff, clean and comfortable facility. Shared spaces (kitchen, lounges, and outdoor areas) are well equipped and spacious. Great central location. We traveled in very low season with only one other guest during our stay. Fully booked, the facility likely feels less spacious.

The bed was the most comfortable I had slept in on the Caminho. The mattress and pillow were amazing. Lovely duvet, white towel and privacy curtain. Shelving for stuff, charging socket and light. Big locker with key to lock up your belongings. Shower and bathroom facilities spacious and clean. Nice communal areas.

Everything is amazing! Decoration is absolutely beautiful! Rustic, cozy and artistically rich, while representing the region and the city. Location is perfect, although it's not always easy to find parking spots. The room was beautiful, comfortable and well maintained. The jacuzzi was the main reason why I booked that specific room and it did not disappoint! The staff was always friendly and promptly available, even online. Definitely the best place to stay in Barcelos!

Good location. Helpful staff. Some English spoken. Central to a good Chinese style dollar store with some good resupply for Camino walkers. A small grocery nearby with a few good options for snacks. Clean, comfortable. Had a nice view of pool with balcony and easy to dry Camino laundry. Comfortable bed in private quarters. Nice and quiet. Stocked mini bar which wasn’t used.

Absolutely a nice little oases with a garden and swimming pool, areas outside and inside where you can sit and relax. Nice art that made the perfect frame for relaxing and discovery. We had a room with balcony and view to the garden/pool. Very silence. The staff was friendly and helpful to suggest a good Italian restaurant, and it was good. the stay was part of walking the camino and we will stay here again. The breakfast was nothing special but OK. Because of rainy weather we did not use the pool.

We liked everything. The room was lovely and spacious. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was a mini bar. The pool and garden were a big surprise as we didn't know when booking they were available. The bar was really welcoming. The food menu for dinner was very good value. The breakfast was really good, especially the orange cakes. The staff were lovely.

The property was amazing! The building was beautiful, clean, and the staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. Loved that we had a balcony room and our family very much enjoyed the back patio space with pool and lounge. The area was perfect and an easy walk to many places. Would definitely stay again if ever back in Portugal!

Perfect location facing the river in the middle of a pine tree forest. You can reach a pretty isolated sand beach area after walking not more than 5 minutes. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the common areas include a very nice swimming pool and a lovely garden area with a wood deck overlooking the river. The staff is very friendly and relaxed. Breakfast is good and the wifi connection is overall very good.

Really cute boutique hotel with delicious dinner and breakfast. It is on the small side with lots of outdoor space, right on the water. Beaches are very close (we were there in winter so we did not go to the beach). The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Set near the mouth of a river estuary, the combination of location and friendly helpful staff was a winner for us. As motorbikers, the ability to park securely outside our room was greatly appreciated. The restaurant served delicious food and either sitting by the log fire or by the panoramic window overlooking the estuary was a real treat. With the Atlantic Ocean only a few minutes walk away, we were able to enjoy much of what nature has to offer in this stunning part of Portugal.

Really friendly staff, taking time to chat with every guest individually. Location near a wonderful beach accessible in 2 minutes walking distance. delicious food served in the hotel-Restaurant. Chill areas and relaxation space in and around the hotel for guests. Go there and come back relaxed and happy!

It is very near to the center and at the same time its very chill, you have bars and restaurants very near and it´s no more than 15 min by walking to the bus station.

The concept of the hotel is, that you rent individual rooms in a large flat. Some rooms share a bathroom, some have their own. All rooms share a kitchen and a washing mashine. The owner is a very nice guy who lives one floor below the apartments.

I paid $97/night for four nights booking through their website. Breakfast is 12 euro and much cheaper to buy at reception than during booking. Credit cards accepted. Outstanding location in Old Braga. Tons of restaurants close by. Banks close by. All the sights close by. Big laboratory-clean rooms with big bathrooms. Wifi, aircon, minifridge. Shower has rainfall and detachable spigot head. Endless hot water. Set breakfast that is excellent. Staff are phenomenally professional and efficient. All speak English. Bar on-site. Restaurant open for dinner. This hotel is truly four stars...I'd stay here again in a heartbeat...

Our second stay here and so happy that we decided to return. Leonel, the charming and helpful receptionist, gave us the warmest of welcomes. There were a couple of small issues with the first room but Leonel sorted everything will little fuss and infact moved us to a lovely light and bright room. Very comfortable and we slept very well. Breakfast choices are made the day before and there was plenty on the menu that were to our taste. Both mornings we had a very enjoyable breakfast, good presentation and flavours. The location of the hotel is perfect, easy walkable to many of the sights and on a street with good cafes, bars and restaurants. We shall definitely return, hopefully next year and bring friends with us. A big thank you to Leonel for making sure we had such an excellent experience. He is a great ambassador with very high levels of customer service.

, mainly because of the outstanding staff and the superior location of the hotel. Mariana, Leonel and Joāo at reception tended to our every need from check-in to check out. Our questions via email before our stay were answered instantly by Mariana. Breakfast was ordered the day before and was waiting for us in the restaurant when we wandered down. Luisa makes an outstanding breakfast and the staff serves all with incredible efficency. Our room was very clean ( thanks to Elisa and Luzia), bright, cheerful, roomy, and comfortable WITH a view of the Cathedral. The entire staff wished me Happy Birthday yesterday for my big day. BUT the very BEST thing was that chef, Susana, baked me an absolutely delicious cake for my birthday!! That and a bottle of champagne was GIFTED to me as a surprise from the staff!! This was an absolutely phenomenal gesture of kindness. If you want a great stay within walking to distance to all of old town, stay at the Burgus Tribute and Design Hotel.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, as was the bed. The bathroom was well set out. Breakfast was included and was made to order. It was fresh and arrived at the specified time. Good restaurant recommendations also as was information on public transport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was a short walk to the main part of the old town. Braga is well worth a vist and this hotel is definitely worth staying at.

We really liked the clean and big room with balcony. There were little snacks and a kettle. The breakfast (with vegan options) was great and there was a terrace to enjoy a coffee with a view into the beautiful garden.

The hotel is ran by family. Sergio was one of them. Very Friendly and helpful. Loan me a bicycle for my camino. Drive me to restaurants, villa mendo for dinner and fetch me back. The proprietors and staff were so kind and welcoming. The room was comfortable and sparkling clean. I was offered a sandwich and coffee in the evening, which I gratefully accepted, as I was very tired after a long day on the Camino. Sitting on the front porch with these refreshments was so peaceful and relaxing. In the morning, the buffet was very filling and varied. This hotel is not only a great bargain, but one I consider exceptional! There was no problem leaving my luggage in the morning for the transport company. The day of my arrival, I walked 7 miles on the litoral by the ocean from Vila do Conde and then veered off through dirt roads and farming community to reach Route 13, requiring a 15 min walk on a busy 2 lane roadway, but this posed no problem. I'm a senior solo female traveler. Do yourself the favor and give Hotel Contriz a try! They take great pride in what they do, and it shows!

Clean spacious room with a firm bed. Excellent bathroom with modern shower with lots of pressure. Extremely helpful staff that is very friendly to pilgrims. The included breakfast is outstanding. The flatscreen has streaming TV. The host provided us with a short ride back to the Camino.

We found this hotel to be excellent quality for the price. The man at the front desk was very friendly and spoke very good English. He gave us good advice about nearby restaurants and places to see. The room was big, with a big bathroom, and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. The parking lot is quite spacious so you can find parking no matter what time you arrive. Breakfast was excellent and free. If I ever return to this area, I would go back.

Friendly staff. Offered to drive us 400m to restaurant for dinner or order us a takeaway which is what we had. The food was very good. They also have facilities to give guests snacks as well if required. The lovely man at reception took us to the start of the track in the morning. Had a lovely free breakfast . Place was very clean with a large bedroom and balcony. Totally recommend Camino walkers to stop here.

It's a great hotel and feels and looks new. Everything is very clean from the reception, corridors, room, breakfast area. The room was very good (and quiet!!) Comfortable bed, heated, a good shower/toilet with everything needed. Fast WiFi. The breakfast is awesome and well worth the asking price. You have everything there, the breakfast area itself it's very bright with outdoor seating. The staff is very smiling. Check out until noon. Close to train station and the center of the city in a quiet area..Perfect. If again in this area this is my place. Thanks a lot.

We arrived late evening at the hotel. This was not a problem. We found our room easily after instructions from reception. Our room was clean, modern and very nice. The bed was very comfortable, the shower amazing. We had everything we needed in our room. The buffet breakfast was delicious. There was a wide choice from cereals, fruit, meat, cheese and also hot food if you so desired.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Each morning, I looked forward to the hotel's breakfast, which featured a wide variety of delicious options, catering to every taste. Great location between the city center and the train station. The bus station is about 15 min walk. In the city center you can find several restaurants, cafés and bars as well as other commercial areas. The room was large, comfortable and pretty quiet except for noisy guests when entering the building! Breakfast was very good. Staff was nice, they stored my backpack since I arrived early. Good wifi.

The all staff is really courteous, positive, and smiling. The rooms are generally spacious and comfortable. The bed is also comfortable. The large bathrooms are beautiful and clean. You will be greeted with a welcome drink. In the room, you also have a coffee machine and a bottle of water provided daily. The hotel is very close to the train station of this beautiful city, and it's within a pleasant walking distance. The city itself has excellent train connections with the magnificent Porto.

Everything was perfect. The staff are very nice and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, the AC was perfect for the summer heat. The common living room with pool table, TV, books, chess was perfect to relax at the end of the day. The swimming pool was very nice and with a lot of options to lay down to catch the sun, loved the hammocks. The location is great at just 6 minutes walking to get to the river beach. The food from the restaurant was very good. I celebrated my birthday during my stay and the staff surprised me with a birthday cake during breakfast. It was a perfect experience and I will definitely return.

Location is great in Braga's countriside with beautiful surroundings. The rooms are big and the overall space feels spacious and cozy. The pool area is perfect for relaxing by contemplating the garden and the green area. Breakfast was very good served in the restaurant that shares the place where you can even have a romantic peaceful dinner.

The hotel felt comfortable with great facilities. I liked the lounge with the pool table and the restaurant with the log fire. The pool looked amazing but it was out of season. The breakfast choices are made the night before, but there was plenty. The only thing I'd say is to provide coffee for the room as this is only available at breakfast. There are teas and fresh milk if you ask for it. Also there is a fridge in the room. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly and most spoke English though I tried out my Portuguese on them. This hotel accepts dogs in the bedroom for €10 per dog per night. I would like to return

Beautiful property in an ancient building what’s the hospital section of the church that’s right next-door there’s a pharmacy. Also attached to the church on the other side so that’s convenient. Dead center to all the restaurants and beautiful churches. Breakfast service was amazing. Only caveat is they have a policy where the servers have to pour your coffee when you have a sudden influx of 20 people in the servers are busy supplying the food stations. It’s very frustrating. They really need to trust the people can pour their own coffee. Overall, Staff was amazing. Beds were comfortable showerhead plenty of heat and good water pressure. I would stay again.

Beautiful historical building, well maintained, clean hotel on a perfect location. Big rooms, parking on site, breakfast was fine and the dinner was also good in the restaurant. Gym facility perfect and the pool area is beautiful. We loved the building, it is really amazing!

Breakfast was better than the buffet dinner. Omelets were tasty. Delicious pastry and coffee. Room was spacious and quiet. Pools were tops. Facility was in an old historic hospital with very solid walls.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms were spacious, the breakfast was delicious. The restaurant served great food in the evening. There was a lovely garden in the center of the hotel where you could have your breakfast, dinner or something from the bar. Location was superb, close to everything. The outdoor pool was lovely, cold, but good for swimming. Plenty of free sun beds. Indoor pool was also nice but a little too cold.

This is a fabulous historical Hotel in a great location. The hotel seems to be in the historical part of the city but also right near great restaurants and modern shopping area. Just walking to your room is enjoyable because of the large open historical area in the middle of the hotel (see picture). It feels a little like you're staying in a Museum. Our room was also very spacious with a balcony and a large bathroom. The hotel has a fabulous pool area. The hotel has an clear view elevator which my Partner's knees enjoyed very much.
