The entire staff was incredibly welcoming and kind. The owner drove me the bus station early the morning I left. The two ladies who make and serve the EXCELLENT breakfast could not have been sweeter!!! The view of the castle while enjoying breakfast on the terrace is AMAZING!!! I wish I could have stayed longer. PERFECT location on the quieter Gorica side of the river. It is a 5 min walk across the bridge to the Mangalem area. The guesthouse location does not involve climbing up multiple hills (which I appreciated). There are several excellent restaurants and bars very nearby.

Lovely and very comfortable stay at Ador Boutique hotel! Very classy rooms with comfy bed and pillows. Location is lovely just a short walk from most restaurants. The accommodation is located in a very traditional part of town and feels very authentic but the rooms are luxurious and stylishly renovated. Room has a fridge, coffee/tea facilities and tv with Netflix. Tasty breakfast and friendly staff. I would recommend staying here.

From the moment I opened the door, I felt the energy of cleanliness and care. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, reflecting an investment full of class and elegance. The interior design was stunning – the bed was incredibly comfortable with satin-white sheets, and the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, ideal for rest. The bathroom was sparkling clean, and the breakfast was served with genuine warmth and hospitality. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, and the on-site parking made everything easier. As a hospitality professional myself, I can say this place exceeded expectations. It's the perfect spot to experience the beauty of Berat in style and comfort.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Ador Boutique Hotel. We were warmly welcomed & the host was attentive to our needs during our stay. Breakfast was delightful on the terrace with its panoramic view of the mountain with ⛪️ & fort opposite. The room had special touches, was clean & the bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed being on the other side of the river to retreat to the peace & quiet of the old town & exploring the quaint little alleyways. I highly recommend Ador.

Everything was perfect: beautiful, clean, comfortable, amazing breakfast. I didn't see the owner, but Miranda (who prepared breakfast and cleaned the room) and her daughter Emily were amazing. They made me feel very welcomed.

Flamur and his wife (I do not know how to write her name ;-)) are the loveliest people!! They are super welcoming and make you feel like family. They gave us a super tasty welcome drink and let us try some fruit from their garden. They also provided (at extra cost) a SUPER tasty breakfast. They were very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The view from the patio is AMAZING!! The view and the people is what make this a perfect holiday place! The guesthouse is located on a short walking distance from the castle and a short walking distance to Berat. For people that have difficulties walking, this place is not so suitable, because you have to walk up a steep hill every time you want to go out. We loved it, because it was a great work out, but keep this in mind if you have mobility issues. The guesthouse has a free parking spot, which is great. However, you need to feel comfortable driving as you have to drive your car up and down the steep hill. For my husband this was not an issue, but I would not have felt comfortable doing this myself. We would 100% recommend this place in Berat and are truly hoping that we can go back one day to see Flamur and his lovely wife again!

The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. They really make your stay special. They offered us fruit from their garden and breakfast was delicious. View from the terrace is amazing, and so nice in particular having breakfast there. Strong WiFi. Spacious room.

Stunning location on a hill overlooking Berat. Few steps from the castle, 10 minutes walk to the promenade, yet in a peaceful and quiet spot. The owner is an absolute gem. Super nice, cheerful and helpful, everything was "no problem" The room was nice, yet a bit tired with all the door handles creaking. Beds were too soft for my liking, but I do have a thing for a hard mattress. Nice breakfast on a terrace with a lovely view on the town was definitely a great way to start a day. We found it a bit difficult to get there late in the evening with no internet access, as sign posts to accommodation are not allowed in Berat. Perhaps the map I have uploaded would be helpful. After leaving the paved road the last section to the guesthouse may seem a bit steep, but is really ... no problem :)

The Guesthouse has a great location with excellent view of Berat and the surrounding mountains. The owners are extremely friendly, helpful and chatty. The breakfast is delicious with fruits from the garden. It is a bit tricky to find and approach the house with car, but manageable. Emiljo’s Guesthouse is a great choice when you stay in Berat.

Everything was exceptional, especially for the price. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were super friendly and caring. The location was nice, close to both the castle and the city central. Parking was private.

This is a family-run hotel. It's a traditional old building, but well laid out and comfortable. The owners are delightful and both actively involved welcoming their guests and ensuring all goes well. Location is perfect, right at the heart of historical Berat, and on the cobbled street which leads up to the castle. We found it quiet at night. Our room was beautifully designed, with a balcony overlooking the inner courtyard, a spacious bathroom and countless lovely touches; in particular we thought the bed-linen wonderfully luxurious. We enjoyed the dining room with its magnificent views and excellent food (especially breakfast). Mangalemi Hotel is spotlessly clean. We found the staff exceptionally bright and helpful. It was good to learn that tips left by guests are shared with all staff. All in all, a wonderful, wonderful place to stay!

The hotel is perfectly located to explore Berat. The staff are so kind, attentive, friendly and helpful providing suggestions of where to explore and eateries. 10/10 service and the breakfast was delicious in the terrace with stunning views. We had an absolutely beautiful room in the old part of the hotel and a really comfortable and peaceful nights sleep. Would recommend to family/friends. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable

We loved the location which was very central to great restaurants and within walking distance to both bridges and the castle. The hospitality was outstanding. We were given excellent recommendations for restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and very clean with a great bathroom. Breakfast was included and had a good selection and was on the terrace with a view. Bottles of water were supplied each day.

The hotel is simply stunning, with a real feel of old world Albania - likely because it has been with the same family for years. Beautifully built, with lovely, comfortable rooms & a gorgeous view over Berat. Very easy to walk to the local bars and restaurants from the hotel too of course. We were very upset to oversleep and miss the breakfast, which I'm sure is delicious! Otherwise the staff could not have been more helpful and charming. 100% recommend.

The hotel is beautiful and very cozy. The room was a good size with comfortable bed (I slept 11! hours) and a lovely view. Good breakfast selection with home-made and fresh products. Great location. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Our car was parked in a private car park and was brought to us in the morning. Pets (dog Cookie and cat Sylvester) made us feel even more welcome. This is the place to stay!

Amazing place to stay in Berat. Really modern and well equipped rooms, with comfortable beds. The host was super nice and helpful. They gave us a bunch of tips and free snacks and drinks. The breakfast was amazing, really fresh local food. The location is not really in the center, but it's perfect to see the views as soon as you step outside. If you're ever in Berat, I highly recommend staying here.

Amalia hotel is stunning, really gorgeous modern design inside that complements the old building. With just 4 rooms it really has a very personal, modern guesthouse feel. The gentlemen who runs it is really great, kind and friendly, on hand for help and advice, even gave us a lift to the bus station when we were leaving! The hotel has free tea/coffee/local wine and Raki available all the time. The breakfast was made freshly for us at a time of our choosing, so much delicious food and fruit! The location is great, in one of Berat’s historical areas, short walking distance from the castle, multiple restaurants/cafe’s/bars within a 5 minute walk, it is a 10 minute drive from the bus station so if you arrive that way - ask for a taxi when you get there! This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in, 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Everything was perfect. The room was vast and very clean, full of charm. The dinner was fantastic, everything was very tasty and the service was fabulous. The father and son team were amazing, so generous and attentive. The breakfast was amazing and huge!! We just loved this hotel and would not go anywhere else when we come back to Berat. Absolutely loved staying here, the location was perfect surrounded by amazing restaurants and close to the centre and the rooms were modern and clean. The hosts were extremely helpful, especially the father who helped us book taxi’s and gave local advise. The breakfast was extensive and delicious and you could even help yourself to their own red wine! I couldn’t rate this place highly enough.

Amalia is a small cozy hotel in historic district of Berat. The hotel is freshly renovated and furnished modern. The owner of the hotel Peter and his wife, who both running this family business, were very friendly, I felt, like visiting friends or family there. The breakfast was delicious with some fresh dishes local too, as vegetables, fruits and cheese. The water, freshly made tee and coffee and some other drinks and also sweets was free of charge available in common room. Peter gave us valuable advices about things to do in the area and also organized the bus for us to our next visiting point, moreover he brought us to the bus station. Nothing could be better! Just awesome place to stay!

Berat is the first place I stayed, since I arrived in albania. The hotel was excellent, clean, and brand new. the view from my room was breathtaking, the breakfast is located at the back of the hotel Plaza berat, it's called hotel gega the sister company, it takes 1 minute by walk, this is only for temporary as their breakfast lounge is still under construction and will be ready by next year. I would like to thanks all the staff at this hotel they were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, namely Roza, Katerina, Rudi, they were always smiling, friendly and ready to help. And to all the housekeeping thank you for making up my room very well, I loved the convenient location close to major attractions, restaurant and bar. I will definitely come back here again!

Hotel Plaza Berat is a wonderful place – centrally located, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The design is modern, with lovely balconies to enjoy the view. The breakfast is delicious, and the entire hotel has a fresh, welcoming scent. Above all, the staff are outstanding – incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Rudi, who made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!

This is a brand new hotel, a short walk through the park and restaurant strip to the old town of Berat. The rooms are large, clean and well equipped. The shower was amazing. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the air con was quiet. Great breakfast included.

Beautiful hotel, in a central position to visit the charming town of Berat. The hotel is a gem, clean and with a great view. Our room was spacious and really comfortable. We greatly enjoyed the time spent there. The host and staff are extremely kind, attentive to every need - I cannot thank them enough for the kind attentions they had for us! Really appreciated! The breakfast is truly amazing. The staff speaks perfect Italian and English - they offer all the information needed to have a great stay in Berat.

Fantastic hotel in a brilliant location, short walk to everything. Our two rooms were spacious, clean and lovely and had everything we needed. Bathrooms modern and the shower was lovely. Gorgeous balconies with amazing views out over the cathedral and town. The breakfast terrace was also sublime. The breakfast itself was simple but adequate and a nice bonus for the price of the room. This was honestly one of the nicest places we stayed in and I highly recommend it!

I was really looking forward to my stay here cos of the reviews and photos I had seen. Our stay was marvellous. Our bus from Tirana stopped just few mins away on the main road so we didn't have much problem walking in with our trolley luggages. Staffs were helpful and approachable, providing me with a tea set when I requested. Room was cosy and nicely warm. Everything was clean and wifi was strong. The view from our balcony was superb and it was very peaceful sitting out enjoying the view. Breakfast was delicious with a couple of varieties provided at our preferred time. Just a few mins out from the guesthouse, you will find the stretch of shops and restaurants and a big supermarket. It's a nice walk through the boulevard. The other side of the road brings you to the hills and a great view. For the Muslims, there is a mosque very near the guesthouse. The bus stop which will bring you to the bus terminal is very near to the guesthouse. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We loved everything about our stay. The location of the accommodation is perfect, close to the centre and with great views from the balcony. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, showing us each available room and allowing us to choose which room we wished to stay in. The breakfast was exceptional serving fresh fruit and cooking each guest's request to order along with fresh juice and fresh coffee. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Everything was perfect, a great location, beautiful room (we had 213) really spacious with a great shower. The balcony is enormous and looks over the township and towards the valley and the window houses. The location is so ideal, only minutes from the main boulevard in authentic surroundings. The foyer and reception are very welcoming, the staff ( family run) could not be friendlier or happier. The breakfast is not buffet but it is superbly fresh and set at the table and your eggs are cooked to order. I could not recommend this hotel enough, particularly if you get a room with a balcony, it is exceptional value.

We thoroughly enjoyed our night's stay at this hotel. The bed in our room was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom and shower were also amazing - spacious and modern. The breakfast served at the hotel was absolutely delicious, featuring fresh, locally-sourced products. This was a fantastic way to start our day and fueled us for exploring the area. The hotel's location was also a major plus, as the view from the property was great and we were able to easily walk to the main attractions and spots in the area. The added benefit of free parking on-site was an added convenience. But what really stood out to us was the friendliness and welcoming nature of the hotel staff. They went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay and provided excellent customer service.

We stayed at the hotel for just one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer. We arrived late and weren’t sure if we would be able to get dinner. Fortunately, the receptionist kindly recommended the hotel’s restaurant, and even though it was close to closing time, they still welcomed us. We were truly grateful for their hospitality — the food was delicious, and they even offered us a complimentary plate of fresh fruit! The room was very spacious and comfortable, and we appreciated the slippers available for guests. As for the location, the hotel is situated within the walls of the Berat Castle, making it convenient for exploring the area. Breakfast was also good — tasty and complete, with a nice variety of options.

The room was beautifully furnished, spacious and extremely clean. The hotel's location in Berat Castle was perfect for our needs. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous, both in the hotel and in the adjoining restaurant. The dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were excellent. If we come back to Berat, we will definitely book this accommodation again.

Brilliant location, unique hotel and lovely upstairs balcony area for anyone to use with nice views at sunset (especially with a glass of local wine or beer from bar downstairs). Breakfast was excellent and loved the little touches, like the excavated area shown under glass in the dining room. Parking was available directly outside (but was busy- we were lucky to secure a spot) and was a great location to explore the old city. Twin beds set up on request and good water pressure in shower. Friendly staff. Straightforward but steep walk down to the town below to see the windows where there were some great restaurants. Would recommend to others coming to Albania.

Great location in the Berat castle with easy access to restaurants/bars (also a mini mart) and a nice spot to watch the sunset. Free parking outside and friendly staff who put on a delicious breakfast. We stayed in an attic room which was small but clean with cute decor and the bed was comfy. We could pay with card which was ideal as well.

Lovely room with a balcony, the hosts were very welcoming and would do anything to improve your stay. The breakfast was delicious and accompanied by a beautiful setting out on the balcony at the front of the house with views of the lovely garden. Will definitely stay here again if back in Berat!

Nice quiet location, still within walking distance of the town. Great, secure place to park the car. We had a lovely balcony, as well as shared use of a larger balcony where we enjoyed breakfast on the second morning. The breakfast is great. The staff were so friendly.

Location location location. Very central location - a few minutes walk to taxi station, 10 minutes walk to bus station and 10 minutes ride to bus terminal. Plenty of restaurants and bars around and very close to all the must visit spots in Berat. It's also in the middle of the hill however the walk up from street only takes 3 to 5 minutes without much of a hike up. Cleaniness - impeccable. View - has a beautiful roof terrace where breakfast and drinks are served. From there you can get a full view of the city, river and all the breathtaking views. It's somewhere you wont be bored of even to spend a whole day at. See photos of views from terrace. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. Staff are very friendly.

The rooms were very traditional styled and the bed was very comfortable and room clean. we only stayed in Berat one night and we had to leave the hotel early to get to our booked activity in the morning so we didn’t have time to stay and eat breakfast at the hotel but when I went to get some coffee the owner was so kind he made sure we had to some breakfast to take with us. The view from the bar/breakfast area on the roof is spectacular.

Set in the heart of the old town, this new hotel was absolutely stunning. It had been newly renovated to a really high standard, and was the perfect blend of traditional rustic materials and clean and modern finish. The hosts were brilliant and extremely welcoming. The breakfasts were exceptional, traditional and to the times we needed, eating on the terrace that has the best view of Berat! I highly recommend this place!

The owner and his family were amazing and very accommodating. We even got fresh (and delicious) figs. The hotel is beautiful with a medieval vibe and the view from the restaurant is unbelievable. Breakfast was abundant, with fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice and great coffee

Hotel Bohem is a hotel that absolutely respects- and even upgrated my experience of- the historical Mangalem neighborhood. It is a renovated version of what used to be an old home and I was very glad to see what a good care they have taken of the property. The owners and the staff were equally friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it for everyone, especially the traditional albanian breakfast with an amazing panoramic view of part the city of Berat, the river and the beautiful Gorica neighborhood across it. Thankful for my stay there!

We came across this hotel through instagram, and it has a big hype over there. When we arrived there we were greeted by Antonelli, he and his sister own the hotel and are very friendly. We booked the biggest and most expensive room they had, which while texting with Antonelli before, he said that this room had the best view, and it did. The room had 4 windows and all of them had a very beautiful view. You can see the Castle, a part of the old town of Berat, the river and the bridge. The room has a large bed, not that comfy though. We made reservation for dinner, they gave us a very good spot, it had an amazing view of one part of Berat. Dinner was quite delicious and for two people i believe we paid around 35 euros. The only downfall was that there wasn't any dessert... Very close to the bridge - Ura e varur, (around 7 minutes walking), which is the top spot for pictures. Breakfast was included in the price, and they have some delicious traditional Albanian food, so do not skip it. All the staff was very friendly and i am happy to have stayed there. However,

This hotel is amazing! The owner is super friendly, kind and welcoming. He has a beautiful family story with the property. We had dinner and breakfast which were both AMAZING. All the produce was sourced from within 1km of the hotel and tasted divine. Very traditional cooking with exquisite home made wine. Portion sizes were very generous. Fresh and delicious. The room had gorgeous views of Berat and was very comfortable. Central location with parking. Easy to find. All the staff at the hotel were fabulous. Oh and the sweetest cat called Tokyo! We would highly recommend!

Owners clearly proud of their recently opened hotel with a great family backstory which they wanted to share. We apparently had their best room which had great views across the river to the castle. Views shared with the hotels multi terrace restaurant. Very friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner on the terrace is a great way to start and end the day.

This boutique family run hotel was the best place we stayed in Albania. The rooms were fanatic and the staff were super friendly. By far the best breakfast and dinner we have had in Albania - definitely take up the degustation dinner option! The bathroom was modern and everything worked a dream (amazing hot water and powerful shower too!) There are only four rooms at the hotel and our room had a fantastic view over Berat town. We are two sisters travelling together and we were so happy to see the hotel filled with other female travellers - every group at the hotel were pairs of females while we were there!

Wow, the hotel was in such a fantastic location! Even though the rooms were small, they were just right for us. The room was super clean and had everything we needed. Our bed was so comfortable. The entire facility was spotless and well-kept, and the staff members were very friendly and helpful. We adored the charming garden, and we only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it more. Luckily, there was a comfortable parking lot nearby where we could park our car. And the breakfast was simply amazing - we couldn't get enough of the petulla!

Perfect central location: near the footbridge, with view at the '1000 windows' on the opposite side of the river. Nice clean rooms with modern plumbing, traditional furniture. Breakfast a la carte served in the courtyard - garden ; appreciated the freshly pressed orange juice. Good restaurant also serving dinner. Competent and friendly personnel always ready with an advice or help. Wifi in the rooms strong and stable, broad bandwidth.

There are only reasons to go there: The hotel is on Gorica and has both a nice secluded terrasse garden and (in the evening) front seating along the quiet road. Both give you wonderful views to Berat Old Town while you eat and alone for that the place is going to. The nonsmoking rooms are quiet, beautiful and clean with both air conditioning and windows you can open. Staff is extremely friendly. Breakfast is wonderful with amongst others (if you want it) fresh juice, cappuccino or expresso, fresh fruit and tomato/cucumber and the usual delicious Albanian breakfast items. There is a parking lot only for the hotel and only for hotel guests which is directly at the street, so this was the most relaxed parking situation in 4 weeks of Albanja.

The staff at Muzaka were terrific. They were helpful and engaging. The location was perfect, with a beautiful view from the dining terrace of the iconic Ottoman houses of Berat. My room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast choices were very good and dinner at the terrace restaurant was fabulous. I cannot say enough about the fine quality of Hotel Muzaka.

Absolutely amazing location, a step away from the main town and yet airy and peaceful. Beautiful rooms. We had a room with a side view as were on a budget but this hotel is such good value anyway when we come back we’ll get a room with a view. Really charming and helpful staff. I went down to the kitchen late at night as we needed a snack and they gave us warm bread and yoghurt from the closed kitchen. The food in the restaurant is delicious and I highly recommend eating here. We totally loved this hotel, perhaps our favourite hotel in Albania. We will come back.

The property is located in the heart of Berat, offering a stunning view of the city and the majestic Tomorr mountain — it truly feels like a perfect picture when you wake up. The room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, with all the amenities we could need. The garden was full of fresh fruits and flowers, adding to the charm. Breakfast was all homemade, served on a terrace with panoramic views of the entire city. We also had dinner there, and the food was exceptionally fresh and delicious. I highly recommend trying their homemade jam, lamb meat, "qofte," and their homemade wine — all are perfect companions to the meal. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the lovely couple who owns the property for their warm hospitality and everything they provided. I can’t wait to return!

Villa Elmar was an amazing choice for our stay in Berat. The room was very clean, spacious, and had a wonderful view. It combines leaving in a traditional guest house with modern comondities, like air-conditioning and renovated bathroom. The breakfast was very nice and was served 8.00-10.30 in the veranda overlooking Berat, which was a great start for our day. Also, it was very convenient that the hotel had a dedicated space for parking our car. Andrianna and her family were very kind and helpful and made us feel welcomed!

Location was amazing with great views from the restaurant. Food was delicious, we had the fixed meal for dinner and breakfast was really fresh and tasty. Staff were all really smiley and helpful Parking was also available close by

- Genuinely kind and friendly host, the two ladies were smiling and willing to help, they welcomed us nicely and offered us some water/juice while they finished preparing the room, since we arrived a little bit earlier than what we had planned. - They spoke Italian so communication was not an issue - The location is perfect in the old town (just have to climb a bit), there is a nice garden and a beautiful terrace with a breath-taking view on the city. - Room was spacious and clean, old-fashioned in a good way - Breakfast was tasty

Very beautiful place with an amazing view and a great orchard garden in the middle of Berat old town! A really lovely and family run guesthouse, just under the castle, in walking distance to everything you want to see. Hanging out and having a nice breakfast under a blooming orange tree was just blissful and so relaxing. And sharing the garden with few sweet turtles was really a joy, especially for my teenage daughter;) The rooms have the the most amazing view. Everyone was really helpful, and I was especially thankful for the help with the parking at the steep hill. Would love to come again one day with the rest of my family!
