The owner was great - friendly, helpful, entertaining. Villas are spacious, bathroom is in a great condition, pools have colourful lights at night, you are surrounded by the nature, there are several supermarkets and the beach within a walking distance of the property

If you want the jungle experience but like me don’t necessarily enjoy experiencing the elements and exposure to all kinds of critters, this is the way to do it. Hearing the rain pitter patter on the outside of the yurt was so soothing and relaxing. Having a pool right outside your door is amazing. Hearing the sounds of nature but under air conditioning is the best of both worlds. Maria and her colleague (sorry I don’t remember your name!) were so friendly, and awesome and even took time to get to know me. They are very responsive by what’s app and will do everything in their power to accommodate. Also having a super market within walking distance was the best!!!

I love the hotel I only wish I can stay longer to really enjoy more, breakfast was very simple, but that’s because I’m a very big fun of my big breakfast 😁

We just spent 5 nights here and loved every minute there. Nice & quiet space, yet close to markets & beaches.

I loved being in the jungle. It is on a very steep hill so if you have any handicap, you absolutely must be able to walk a Very steep hill down and up. To steep for an electric wheelchair. At the time we went no one spoke English but we had to use translator. There was some communication issues. They also say that they have down comforters and nice toiletries. There was no soap or shampoo in the shower at all. But overall we loved it and would recommend.

Design and decor were interesting. Staff friendly and courteous. Room was comfortable. Jacuzzi was amazing. Restaurant location on the beach was conveniently located .

Good reception, from Sophia, Noemi and others; Attractive room, mainly white; comfy large bed; well-working air-conditioning; bathroom a good size with 2 basins and all amenities. Good access to well-sized pool in hotel grounds, plus jacuzzi; quiet environment. Pleasant restaurant for all meals, acceptable breakfast buffet. Separate pizza oven, and sushi making space ( very good). Met several members of management and had time for a discussion; good to see them involved in active running of the hotel (thank you Ben, Karim and Gustavo). Nice to have a second pool on the beach, especially as the surf there meant you couldn't swim in the sea.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Cameleon in one of the rooms with a private pool on the beach side of the hotel. The room was very large with a separate living room and an exta half bath. It was very clean, and the cleaning staff did a great job keeping it that way during our stay. There was a furnished, covered patio right outside the room, with an additional lounge area and outdoor shower by the pool, which looked directly onto the Caribbean Sea. It was very private, and a nice break from mingling with others in the resort pools, all of which were very nice and well kept. Evrey single staff person we encountered were very nice and very helpful. The massages were amazing, the restaurant and bar were great, the service was wonderful in all aspects - at the bar, the restaurant, the beach cabanas, etc. The grounds are being constantly cleaned and maintained, and there are lots of places to relax whether you want to be with other people or prefer solitude. There are a couple of really good restaurants within an easy walk of the hotel, and the hotel arranged a taxi for us to Puerto Viejo, just a few miles away. The hotel was very safe, family friendly, and we had an amazing time. I can't wait to go back!

We booked this hotel in a hurry after a flood in our nearby rented villa meant we had to immediately vacate. So it turned out to be a wonderful surprise for our family - not having had any preview of this hotel and its offerings. My wife and I had a huge beachfront suite which was very luxurious and had the largest TV I've ever seen! Plus very comfortable beds and electric curtains/shutters onto a balcony. Our late-teen children had a room each near the pool on the Reception side of the complex, across the road. We found all the staff incredibly helpful and friendly, especially due to our awful villa experience which threatened to ruin our holiday. The restaurant meals and cocktails were so good that we didn't even bother to look elsewhere to eat! The beach furniture was kept clean and the gardens tidy. We were also treated to exceptional wildlife encounters: howler monkeys in the trees, lizards and colourful frogs, plus the most adorable sloths - one came down from a tree near Reception to wander about just a few feet away from us! Even the nearby sanctuary (which is well worth going to) didn't let us get that near! We felt very relaxed in this beautiful hotel resort and would highly recommend staying here - on the beachfront if you can.

The hotel, the staff, the location are all absolutely PERFECT!! Our condo of rooms was right across the street from the hotels restaurant, which was also beachfront and only feet from the ocean. Absolutely paradise!! Would be great if they offered an all inclusive stay, but it sure won't deter me from going back. The rooms were all starch white, super clean, and very comfortable. The staff is AMAZING!! They were all very friendly, accommodating, and will help with whatever they can. They are also very knowledgeable about the area and attractions. They helped plan our outings and suggested things for us to see and do. The size of our room was bigger than what we had thought. 2 comfy queen sized beds. Fridge, coffee maker, large balcony, and big bathroom. Was all very nice! I LOVE this hotel and I can't wait to go back! I will definitely stay here again. And, we had a baby sloth in the tree off of our balcony. Completely amazing!!

The room is very clean, the staff is so helpful, pool and jacuzzi are very good. I recommend stay in this place and drive thru Puerto Viejo you will see many wonderful beaches, and taste the Caribbean's food.

Location for cahuita national park. Free lift to the donation entrance to the park and then you pop out right by the hotel at the end ready for a swim in the cool pool and relaxing jacuzzi !

Super close to Cahuita. Loved unwinding in the pool/jacuzzi. Very friendly owners that helped us figure out our plans.

Once we were kindly upgraded to the apartment we really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spacious so baby could crawl and play around and was a nice liveable space for our 9 day stay. It is located a walk away from Cahuita National park which we recommend but you will need to pay for a taxi to get into the main town of Cahuita down the main road approx 3000 / $5. The hosts are a lovely French couple who were very helpful and accommodating. The pool and jacuzzi was enjoyable and you are surrounded by lots of lovely fruit plants. A home away from home. Would recommend 😌

- Amazing owners, so helpful, attentive, friendly, make you feel totally welcome and do everything to make your stay comfortable - there is a pool and jacuzzi which is really cool - property is placed just around the corner from the entrance to National Park which is an amazing experience- this entrance is much wilder and gives a proper wildlife experience (compared to Cahuita entrance) - common access kitchen which was very handy - AC in the room - very chilled atmosphere overall, nice Caribbean vibe :) I was late with check out because i underestimated time at the National Park, and there was absolutely no problem, the owner is really understanding, helpful and chilled 🌞 - cats and dogs at the property 💜

Valentina and Daniele are a very helpful and knowledgable host. We received the “honeymoon” cottage with a jacuzzi. All is high standard at an affordable price. The breakfast is fantastic.

Clean quiet comfortable room with very large bathroom and comfortable outdoor sitting area. Has outdoor jacuzzi which we didn’t use, and two chaise lounges in a well manicured private peaceful garden. Daniele (host) was very accommodating. He communicated well , in a timely manner fashion. Came to bus stop to meet us. Oasi is a short 6-8 minute walk from the bus stop. Daniele was spot on with his restaurant recommendations. We appreciated the daily replenishment of coffee pods for our daily coffee on the peaceful patio. Space for our belongings was tight. The configuration of the unit is to showcase the elegant bathroom, thus closet space is minimal. We enjoyed our conversations with Daniele and appreciated his attentiveness to our needs. He showed me the 2 apts on the property. They look comfortable, and well appointed. We stayed 6 nights. ( February 2023) Would recommend.

I can’t think of a single bad thing to say about this place, and I highly recommend to anyone traveling to the Cahuita/Manzanillo/Puerto Viejo area. This is not even 5 minutes walking to Cahuita National Park, just right next door. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and in a nice and quiet area, perfect for relaxing after spending time exploring the Caribbean coast. The hosts were so kind and welcoming from the start, facilities exceptionally nice and clean, bathroom huge and perfect, bed was comfortable, and we had a little terrace to relax on. Breakfast blew us away - incredibly delicious, generous offerings, and served for us right on our terrace to enjoy. I was blown away by all of the service for the price. Highly recommend!!!

We had a great stay here! The property is very well fitted out, with stylish decor, attention to detail and every kitchen item stocked with useful utensils that you'd need to cook with, more than the usual holiday apartment. The gardens were very well kempt. The bed was comfortable and overall the place was peaceful and felt very safe. We had one day 'at home' when it was raining and the apartment was spacious and comfortable to hang out in. Daniel was a most gracious, friendly and supportive host, who took the time the show us round the property when we arrived and went beyond the usual call of duty to help us out - a genuinely good guy! The internet was a little lower on the upload speed than we have at home but was fine for doing Zoom meetings with audio and fine for general internet browsing, emails etc. so we didn't have a problem with it. Location was perfect, quiet enough to get a good night's sleep but only around 5 mins walk to the National Park, town centre and bus station. No complaints at all and highly recommend Oasi as a great choice!

This is a small, very private hotel with plenty of space for people to have fun and do not disturb others. Rooms (or rather little houses) are spacious, very clean, furnished elegantly, beautifully decorated, with fully equipped kitchen, where you could cook on regular bases. I loved the bathrooms - there were two in our house, modern, looking really nice. The house in general is very comfortable, you stay in a nicely manicured garden, where you can observe many different birds or monkeys. Staff is super friendly, efficient and helpful, and the owners are kind, eager to share their knowledge with you and provide with any information you may need. This is an extremely nice place to stay - for a day or two, but for a longer period as well. Valentina and Daniel are making sure that you feel comfortable and at home.

I had an amazing stay at this authentic Caribbean guesthouse! Nestled in a lush garden setting, the place exudes a tranquil and natural vibe. The rooms are simple but cozy, clean. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach and nearby town, yet far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. The hosts were incredibly warm and attentive, offering great recommendations for local tours and activities. I especially loved the homemade breakfast, which featured fresh tropical fruits and local specialties. If you’re looking for a relaxing and authentic and simple Caribbean experience, this is the perfect spot!

A really exceptional place. Beautiful guesthouse with an amazing garden - the best place to recharge! The room is simple but there is everything you need. What I loved was the shower with a view into nature. The place was really clean and there was housekeeping with an optional laundry service. My personal highlight was def the garden with many options to just relax - it is such a beautiful and tranquil place, with a lot of wildlife! The entrance to beach (the beach is also incredibly beautiful) is only 3 min away. But most importantly: the owner and the whole staff are such lovely people, they made me really feel like home. Thanks so much for that! I will definitely come back!!

My stay at Casa BOHO was perfect! Ana was the best host, and I love her mission for eco tourism. It's located the perfect walking distance from the beach and all the downtown shops/restaurants, while also being quiet, peaceful, and out of the way. The gardens are lovely, the room is cozy, and I loved the open air bathroom! 10/10 would stay again.

We stayed for several nights at the Casa Bohö during our 3 weeks trip thru Costa Rica. Casa Bohö was definitely one of the best places, probably even the best we stayed at. The owner & host Anabelle is so friendly, relaxed and beyond helpful no matter what you need. The rooms of Casa Bohö and the entire property are just phenomenal - lovely details done by Anabelle herself everywhere, beautifully furnished rooms, super clean bathroom area, equipped with everything you need (towels,…) and important extras for the carribean coast (mosquito net,…). Rooms have big window fronts right next to the bed where you enjoy a wonderful view inside the property’s garden which really much looks like a kind of a tiny little jungle, simply beautiful. Location 5-7 min walking distance to the beach (Salsa Brava, Playa Cocles) and to the ‘city’ centre of Puerto Viejo with a lot of shops, restaurants already on the way and inside the centre. Everything walking distance, super relaxed. Over all, absolutely wonderful. Enjoy!

I absolutely loved my stay at this accommodation. The vibe of the place was incredibly relaxed and welcoming – I immediately felt at home. Ana was simply amazing! She was not only super friendly and helpful, but also spoke perfect English. You can tell that she truly cares about making sure everyone feels comfortable and has everything they need. The entire place is designed with so much love and attention to detail, which made my stay unforgettable. The adorable cats roaming around were just the cherry on top and made my experience even better. I highly recommend this place to anyone – I will definitely be coming back!

we loved how it was surrounded by nature, nice and quiet. the location was great for relaxing and going to the beach, with great restaurants nearby and not to far from Puerto Viejo in taxi. we stayed in the original room we booked but it was by the reception and was a last minute booking. but we asked if there was any better rooms with air conditioning. the staff was brilliant and after 1 night they moved us to a new lodge nearer the pool area. also they new it was our honeymoon and gave us a bottle of champagne and flowers on the bed. all in all great hotel and stay.

Very nice and quiet place just outside Puerto Viejo. Staff is very friendly and there is a secure parking.. The cabins are beautifull and have a nice view on the forest. Nice and extensive breakfast.

Great location in playa Chiquita . Walk to beach great restaurants and market close by. Monkeys in the trees and even a sloth on the property . Pool was clean and refreshing .

The apartments were very spacious and clean. Everything you needed was provided for. Every morning you woke up to a fresh brewed coffeepot, which was already delivered to your doorsteps. The breakfast was amazingly delicious, with different fresh juices every day. Almost every morning our host Eric took the time to sit with us for a moment to chat and to give us tips for our daily trips. Every single person of the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Within the compund we were able to see sloths, poison dart frogs, lizzards, iguanas and even a beautiful colored tucan paid us a visit while we were relaxing in the clean pool. Above the pool was a terrace, from which you could look at the stars, when it got dark. All in all, it was the perfect place with the perfect hosts. We will definately come back soon!

The property and hosts are fabulous. The room was clean, comfy, with everything you need from a range of bath towels, to kitchen utensils, to a perfectly hot shower. The balcony space was great and we were very fortunate to have a sloth in the tree in front of our villa for our two night stay! The hosts were fantastic and made us feel very welcomed. Breakfast was lovely and having hot water for a morning cuppa was a nice touch. The pool is clean and a range of beach towels, sun cream etc. is available. The property is very close to the beach, a small minimart, and bar/restaurants. A short drive out of the villa is a small town with a range of shops, restaurants and bars. Car parking was secure. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

Our stay at Villas Piña was absolutely flawless. My husband is extremely picky when it comes to lodging and even he has zero complaints. For starters, Eric and Sharon are absolutely wonderful hosts. They are greatly versed in the area and can tell you anything you need to know about everything from wildlife, where to eat, to history. The support staff is absolutely delightful as well. The grounds are kept up impeccably and are a host to various wildlife. While on site we saw iguanas, collard aracari, and sloths. The pool is spotless and the gardens peaceful and inviting. The rooms were an absolute delight. Clean, comfortable, spacious and full of natural light. The staff delivers coffee, cream, and sugar to the porch in an insulated carafe each morning. A very special add on! Breakfast is included and is made to order each morning. The fruit is fresh and delightful and everything was delicious. Plus there is always fresh coffee available.

The owners are super helpful, welcoming and nice. Together with their team they made our holidays an unforgettable experience. Every morning the fresh coffee waiting on the terrace (that was a real treat and a great start of the days). Incredible breakfast: local cuisine - homemade fresh bakeries, freshly made juices and local food. Villa was super comfortable, very spacious, clean and it was a pleasure to spend there time. The shortcut to the beach was also good, so you are super close to look at the waves and swim.

We stayed at Villas Piña for four nights and absolutely loved it! The surroundings are beautiful — lush, peaceful, and full of tropical charm. The breakfast in the garden each morning was a real highlight, delicious and surrounded by nature. Eric is an exceptional host — welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The entire staff is wonderful too — friendly, kind, and always smiling. The villa itself was very spacious, comfortable, and perfectly equipped for a relaxing stay. Definitely a place to stay when visiting the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica — we can’t recommend it enough!

Just the perfect place….. perfect location, beautiful room in the midle of the forest and some steps from the beach…. Awa is located at the most beautiful beach in Puerto Viejo. The personal is unbelivable friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing and also the dinner in the restaurant. Awa is just perfect, we liked it so much. Absolutely a must see and must come back place :)

Nice beach bar set up, serving tasty lunch options. Would throughly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast!

Extraordinary great hotel with modern and spacious rooms, very friendly staff and a perfect location at the ocean front. Especially the beach bar is wonderful. Fresh drinks and snacks all day long while you can relax on the beach couches. Also the restaurant is very recommendable.

I loved everything about this property it is absolutely stunning. The staff was beyond beyond beyond beautiful and amazing. The food at the restaurant was great and very reasonable prices. The beds & pillows were comfortable and the maid did an excellent job cleaning every single day (which if you have stayed on the Caribbean side you understand how both of those are rare). It was just a few steps to a very secluded & mostly private beach. Kayaks, boats and paddle boards a short stroll down the beach. I got sick the last day and was pretty irritable and was fussing about parking (it was a holiday weekend) and the two hotel employees never lost their smiles and helpful attitude. One even drove the car for me to get it in a better position. Honestly it was just too sweet how they handled my cranky attitude, and it made my mood improve despite my blistering headache. Later on I left a tip for the two amazing guys who helped me and later found the one who parked the car was actually the owner of the hotel and gave the tip to his staff. I am putting this in the review because first of all what a sweet and beautiful human he was. So calm and helpful despite my slightly testy demeanor. Anyone who owns a hotel and behaves like that creates an energy and frequency of love in the space. He is a genuine thoughtful great person and he has created a beautiful space with thoughtful great details. 1000% recommend this epic space.

Breakfast is delicious, the view of the gardens, the howlers monkeys, the sloths, the coati we saw running in the rain, the crabs, the birds and of course the beautiful beach. Please take special care of the amazing location and all the wild life. For sure one of my best stays 🥰🤗🥰🤗
