Great pousada. We really enjoyed it, the staff is really nice, breakfast is good, close to the duna to see the sunset but also to broadway (the main street to go out at night)

I stayed at the pousada do Toby with friends in July for 2 nights. We loved it for it's charm, quirkiness and found it to be good value for money especially when you convert to euros. This was my third trip to Brazil and only my frst time in Canoa-what a lovely spot. The pousada was spotlessly clean, the rooms were spacious and staff very helpful and friendly especially Sandra the lady who looks after the very convenient late breakfast. The views from the decked areas were breathtaking and the location was fantastic for the beach (though the climb back up after a day in the sun could have been heart-attack inducing!!) and the variety of restaurants/bars that Canoa has to offer. I wished I could have stayed longer but had to return to Fortaleza for flights home. The regular bus service to Canoa from Fortleza was very convenient. Overall a lovely stay in a beautiful location.

Pousada do Toby offer the best thinkable location in Canoa Quebrada. In a quiet small corner near the beach with a spectacular view of the ocean and close to the villa with restaurants and bars. The staff at the hotel deliver 5 star service and are always friendly, happy and eager to assist you. The rooms are clean and well functioning. Me and my family had a fantastic stay at this hotel and for sure we will soon be back again to enjoy Hotel Pousada do Toby and the amazing beaches of Canoa Quebrada.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Wish we could have stayed longer. The pousada is in an excellent location. Close to the beach and the main drag. The view from the two upper-most decks is terrific and a perfect place to sip caipirinhas and watch para gliders soar overhead. The best thing about this place is the staff. Every single staff member was so friendly and helpful. From the receptionist to the chef. By far the awesomest we've encountered in our 2-months of travelling. Likely the best staff in Brazil. Bar has cheap drinks and very reasonably priced food. Also, breakfast is from 7am - 2pm, what else could you ask for! Canoa is fab. Go kite surfing. Enjoy!

We chose this pousada on the basis of one of the nicest descriptions I have ever seen in a guidebook. The location is outstanding overlooking the gorgeous beach. The owner Toby is a Dane who was one of the first to establish a pousada in Canoa and knows everyone and everything about the place. The rooms range from fairly basic to rather upmarket. The breakfast is amazing and is in good Danish style served until late in the afternoon. The bar, with a small pool right next to it, is a friendly and sociable place to hang out for a drink and a snack after a day on the beach or a buggy ride. Toby himself is a character definetely worth having a chat with. I promised myself I would come back to this place as soon as possible.

Great Pousada (b&b) right besides the main road- broadway and the beach. Great food menu with sufficient portions. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with all major amenities. Pool and sunbathing deck has one of the best views of the resort!

Amazing breakfast a la carte facing the sea, great food at the restaurant from the french chef, the padel facilities next door, the impeccable service, the stunning beach great for my wingfoiling and long walks at sunset, quiet and cosy, the premium bungalows are insane. The small pretty village is within walking distance and very safe.

The restaurant is very good for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! The beds around the pool and the beach are comfortable, and there were always some available for us.

The ocean front family room is absolutely fantastic, comfortable, spacious and balcony with sea view. The hotel is located in a fabulous beach quasi exclusive.

Amazing place on a beautiful beach. Cosy, peaceful, very confortable, lots of privacy, great food from the French chef, outstanding breakfast. You can kite surf and wingfoil right in front (avoid low tide) and play padel next door. Great spa as well.

First of all the hotel is very beautiful, rooms are large and comfortable, wood furniture, and it is green area all around, with grass and trees in all the property. Everything is clean, the breakfast is wonderful, with a large choice of first class patisseries and fruits and juices and dreary products. Most of all, the hotel is quiet and silent! It is recommendended for whom is wanting for peace and rest, even in a nerby beach staying.

Amazing place ! Great welcoming from Emmanuel ! The place is calm, clean, chill. Near an amazing beach with no one. 3 swimming pools in the facility. I’ll be back ! Great catch !!

Great short stay in a very convenient yet quiet place. The restaurant is delicious and the staff is just amazing. I could definitely have stayed longer!

All area is super well maintained. Nice parking by the bungalow. Lovely breakfast. Walking distance to other restaurants. Owner asking for feedback during breakfast and knows also English. Got ideas for our own cabin here. Cool place.

Great place to stay, and I would recommend it to everyone. There are nice new rooms, three pools to choose from, great staff, and an amazing breakfast. Vila Vera Theresa is a must-go!

It was clean, cosy, up to European standards. Nice rooms and bathrooms with hot water. I was nicely surprised. Very good breakfast with a lot of tasty foods and fruits. The staffs were very nice, with a lot of good advices. Thank you for a nice experience.

The pool and garden are excellent, super beautiful! The staff is friendly and sympathetic to guests, helping in all needs. The hotel is super close to the beach as well, that’s definitely a plus.

Very nice, clean and well organized place. Good parking. Not too far from the center, but easily accessible. Also close to the beach.

Beautiful setting in well maintained gardens. Excellent breakfast. Location within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Free buggy 5m ride to from the beach which are within walking distance but down a steep hill. The resort also has constant breezes from the sea which keeps the temperature moderate with little insects about.

The garden side is a lovely place!!!! Walk distance to the Broadway street. Staff were very friendly and the accommodation clean and comfortable. The Would go back when in Canoa!!

This was a decent smaller motel with pleasant staff. The free breakfast was very good. The room was somewhat dated and we dealt with mosquitoes a lot. It was a bit out of the way from the center of the village and they didn’t keep the streets very clean or well maintained.

Hospedagem linda e muito bem cuidada. Assim que chegamos já é possível ver o apreço que têm em deixar tudo agradável. Acomodações com o básico que funciona, e muito bem espaçosas. Café da manhã excelente. Mas o plus são os funcionários, todos (desde da recepção até o café) muito simpáticos, cordiais, sempre prontos a ajudar e prestar o melhor serviço. A parceria com as barracas com o sistema de leva e trás funciona muito bem, além de ser muito cômodo. Super recomendo a Pousada.

We stayed at this place from Wednesday through Saturday this June. It was fantastic! The place is only a block from Broadway, where all the action is, and only a short 5-minute walk down to the beach. We stayed at the L'amore apartment/room. Very clean, brand new room. AC unit was so quiet we didn't even know it was on half the time. Breakfast had a nice variety of fruits, cakes, juices, and other local staples. The only problem we encountered was on Friday night and Saturday morning with excessive music noise from the guests at the next door pousada. The manager at our place advised us to let them know next time, so they can take the appropriate course of action notifying the local police (there are noise ordinances in Brazil after 10pm). Staff was always helpful and pleasant. The owners seemed to show concern for our comfort every time they crossed us in the pousada grounds. The chalets were the cutest thing too. The Wi-fi was spotty at times. The swimming pool grounds was beautiful. The place is all beautifully ornated and the landscaping is pristine. I suggest staying during the week days and leaving before, or right at the beginning of the weekend, to avoid noise and crowds from the capital, Fortaleza. If you can, book a room closer to the entrance of the pousada to avoid noise from the pousada next door, in the back.

Great location to walk to the beach or to the restaurants & bars. I parked the car and basically walked everywhere until we left. The staff was friendly and helpful. I don't speak Portuguese, but used Google Translate.

Really nice property around 10 mins to the beach and 5 mins to Broadway the main drag in the town. We stayed in a cabin by the pool which was comfortable. Nice little patio where one can hang a hammock. The pool is very large and we much enjoyed it. Breakfast was very generous and varied we enjoyed it every morning. WiFi worked but not very fast. Tv signal in the room was not great and channel selection limited. Staff was very helpful throughout our 5 day stay. The property is on the older side and generally seems like it would benefit from some sprucing up. Minor item, but the amount of very visible large signs could be toned down. Cheapens the property considerably!

So glad to have found this spot in previous post. Great for relaxation after 2 days of delayed flights. Owners photos represent the place accurately. Staying in a basic room with queen bed and set of bunk beds. Clever configuration. I am enjoying the easy access to wi-fi in room and dining area. Nice breakfast, inviting pool, comfortable bed, easy walk to main street (Broadway) and beach. This town has an eco development plan in progress. Lots of new construction evident. If you're the patient kind of traveler, it works fine to arrive by bus from Fortaleza, via the city bus station (rodovaria). Tookus about 3 1/2 hours on the comfy Sao Benedito (green) bus. There's also a transfer service available from the hotel (inquire directly) but it cost too much be comparison. I'm sure it would be lots quicker. (Bus fare was less the $!0 each at the bus station)

Lovely gardens around a spacious, well kept L-shaped pool. Good breakfast with afternoon coffee, water and kettle available. Friendly staff and efficient kitchen. It set the pace at Canoa Quebrada.

Breakfast was very good and the ladies serving were very attentive to any requests for things not already laid out. The staff in general were very friendly and helpful.

The service was stunning, all the staffs were very friendly and kind with us we are really happy with our stay it couldn’t be better thanks to all at aruanã we are so happy with our experience, everything was clean and the hospitality was beyond perfect.

The hotel is very beautiful, the pool is nice, each room has a balcony which is amazing. The staff is really nice and available for everything. The breakfast is very good as well.

Pousada bem localizada, apesar de não ficar exatamente no centro, bem ampla e confortável, bom atendimento e piscina bem grande com um bar dentro, o que facilita bastante as coisas. Quarto amplo e confortável. No geral foi uma estadia muito boa!

A Pousada precisa de um pouco mais de atenção dos proprietários, em relação a manutenção. Coisas simples como um banco que caiu no bar da piscina e está enferrujado, sendo arriscado um acidente acontecer. O Frigobar também estava muito sujo. As camas estavam forradas com o lençol de elástico é apenas uma manta, fui pedir lençóis para nos cobrir e conseguiram apenas um pois os outros estavam no varal secando.

We had a huge room (top floor pool view) with comfortable large bed, good AC, very hot shower, robes, soft towels, and nice toiletries. Breakfast is great and the staff is very kind. Right next to Broadway - only issue is 10 min walk from beach, but that's not a huge issue. The pool is shallow per the other reviewers but long enough that you can swim laps in the deeper part with no issues. Overall a great stay.

The rooms are huge and the pool is really great. The beds were huge but could be a little more comfortable. The largest beds available are listed as queen-sized, but our bed was clearly king-sized if not California king-sized. The upstairs rooms open up to a balcony which I really appreciated and they have a great sauna with an indoor and outdoor pool. The indoor pool is spa like and is next to the sauna. I was a little disappointed that indoor pool was not heated (it is underground and would be so great and more spa like if it was heated). Overall the service is great, the breakfast is great and the location is close to Broadway and the beaches but far enough from Broadway that it is nice and quiet in and around the hotel.

Very helpful staff. Wonderful, tranquil establishment. my only complaint was the shower. the water did not get very warm, and the system with the plastic showerhead was not effective.

A pousada é muito boa e mesmo com uma entrada bem discreta, possui excelentes quartos, uma piscina muito boa, grande e com um bar bem completo, café da manhã muito completo e saboroso. A localização é excelente, por estar muito próximo da Broadway, que é o principal ponto da região, onde ficam os restaurantes e a noite é muito frequentado! A associação dos passeios também fica muito próxima e é possível contratar os passeios em frente à pousada. O acesso à praia também é muito fácil e tranquilo.

Excelente custo benefício em Canoa. Possui Estacionamento, localização ideal, fica bem em frente ao início da Broadway. Bom atendimento na recepção, quarto confortável, piscina grande, água sempre morninha. Bom espaço ao lado da piscina. Possui algumas opções de petiscos, pratos, bebidas no bar da piscina. Atendimento cordial pelos funcionários, destaque para Stephanie, Maurília e Nildo. Tem um mirante legal pra ver o pôr do sol. Café da manhã completo, com cuscuz e acompanhamentos, tapioca, frutas, salgados, bolos etc. Sempre retornamos.

We really liked the atmosphere. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was a good size. We enjoyed our breakfast with plenty of options to choose from (including delicious tapioca and couscous as well as fresh French croissants and pain au chocolat) and served every morning on the table on our balcony. Maiara provided an excellent service, always checking if we needed anything. The owner, Ludovid, was also very attentive, suggesting good restaurants and a great local guide for a tour. The beautiful garden and the swimming pool were amazing too!! And of course, their friendly and sweet dog Zion made our experience even better.

What’s a wonderful time that we have there ! Tue staff is super helpful and the place is very peaceful!
