We were surprised. From the outside it looks like an ordinary residence. Inside is a beautiful hotel, organized and renovated. Beautiful hotel, welcoming staff, pool, large clean and beautiful room, free arranged parking, excellent breakfast. Elevator, very comfortable bed.

The hotel staff is very welcoming and provided for all our requests. The housekeepers keep the hotel very clean, and towels are changed daily. The maintenance persons are very efficient. We booked b&b. They serve international breakfast, which is so delicious 😋

We have stayed at Hotel Sofia before and the stay was excellent. On this booking we were put in Hotel Catanza which is next door. Hotel Sofia is right in the heart of town in a pedestrian area, so traffic was light and noise free. Bed was comfy and clean. The breakfast at Pam Pam cafe was served with a welcoming smile and a wonderful family. I recommend their lunch menu, pastries and coffee.

The hotel room (Hotel Costanza) seemed to be newly renovated, very clean and it was very spacious. Very close to the centre and just in the middle of the shopping area of Catania on Via Etnea. For us it was very convenient.

Hotel Sofia is very central and close to everywhere.The staff was really helpful and gentle.The room was fairly big and very clean.The bathroom was spacious as well.Highly recommended.Very good value for money.

Teatro suites was so much more than we expected! very easy to navigate to and from the bus stop and in the middle of anywhere you would want to be. The host met us at the door to explain everything about how to use the code and key and even a little history about this historic building! when we entered the lobby area we were taken aback at how modern and clean it was! Our room was exquisite and the bed was incredibly comfortable, it was the best sleep we had had in weeks! They had complimentary cold water for us which was amazing after a long travel day. The room was very chic and had everything we needed. We were so happy that there was sound proofing for the noise outside as it was a big evening out for people. We didn’t hear a thing once we closed the balcony doors. Our host was always available when we had any questions and was super nice! If you find yourself going to Catania, stay here. The location is very central. The room was spacious and clean, came with private bathroom and study, like an apartment really. The owner was so helpful and friendly. Room was cleaned every day and they gave 2 bottles of water for drinking. There are lots of restaurants and cafe's nearby also. The room i had was very quiet with courtyard view.

Amazing location near to great bars/restaurants. Easily accessible to the Duomo and famous fish market. Very comfortable room with lounge area and balcony across the Piazza. Staff all very helpful and friendly.

The host was very welcoming, the bed was of good quality and so was the rain shower. The jacuzzi is the main attraction of the room, so if you like that it’s great. All the amenities were there and of excellent quality.

Communication and service was second to none. The room was fantastic. The jacuzzi bath and shower were out of this world!

the place is incredible and the super central in the heart of Catania, the interiors are stunning! the jacuzzi is amazing, the shower could fit ten people in it; the bed is extremely comfy! Dalila and Laura welcomed us like we were the best clients ever! their level of customer service is outstanding, we did not have to ask for anything as they anticipated any requests we may have! we cannot thank them enough for all supports, kindness and help they offered us! they are an asset for this place! we will definitely came back again!

Everything was perfect!! From the room, to the location of the hotel, to the girls that hosted me! The room was perfectly cleaned, spacious with everything you need, the shower and the jacuzzi were heaven! The girls were very kind, very helpful, I asked them to leave my luggage after the check-out at the reception and they immediately helped me out! The property is situated in the center of Catania, just a few minutes walk from the Dome and the walking street. The property was well equipped and very clean Our host, Valerio was very kind and helped us in everything. He recomended a very good place for breakfast and also a great restaurant ( il gambero Pazzo- better to make reservation beacuse otherwise there is a low chance to have a free table) nearby. He also helped us to buy a pocket of sicilian cafe beans. Thank you very much Valerio!

I like the location the most because everything was near including duomo, catedrals, markets, restourants and the bus station which was far from the apartment about 10 minutes by walk. Also the manager was very friendly and polite always had something to recommend where to eat, which beach to visit and etc.

Comfortable place, with very kind stuff, and it has nice terrace. The location is excelent, its very close to the center, but not on a busy, touristy street. I can recommend for anyone, who seeks a nice, authentic and non-luxory place to stay in Catania.

Excellent hotel. Luxury feel in the center of Catania. Only a 5 min walk to the main square. The rooms were large and very clean. We enjoyed the jacuzzi on the roof top and the massage at the spa. Breakfast had a ton of options and was very good. Service was impeccable. Would stay here again and again. Highly recommend.

Just perfect! We came on the spot because our B&B appeared to be awful. So we switched and were happy with that. The reception was big, the room had brand new renovation, was clean and modern. There was a greeting card on the table, glass bottled water and traditional cookies on the pillows. The room had everything we needed: slippers, robes, all hygienic staff you can ever need. The hotel had a partnership with (or included) spa. We had no time to go there, but the prices were really good. The breakfast was more like in Florence and it was the best cuisine we managed to try on Sicily. The next day my friend left early in the morning, and I had my flight in the evening. So I left my luggage on the reception and went to the excursion to Etna in the first half of the day. When I came back i was not sure what to do. I wanted to swim, but I couldn't take a shower after. The receptionist gave me a voucher for the free entrance for Lido and told me they have jacuzzi pool on the roof, and I can rest there and have a shower after. I followed their plan and it was great. When it was time to leave I ordered prosecco and they gave me antipasto (snacks). Actually one of the snacks was a bowl of pasta and a lot of staff in addition. For me it was a dinner))) P.S. When we called to the reception at night and asked for water, the guy looked like a butler from movie "Home alone 2"=) And all the staff were nice, clean, uniformed and polite.

The hotel’s own restaurant is not to be missed—truly some of the best food we had in Catania. Can’t wait to return!

The room was impeccably clean, and the comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep after a long day of sightseeing. One of the highlights of my stay at Hotel Centrum was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of perfect. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options and fresh coffee, It was a great way to start the day, and the attentive staff made sure that everything was well stocked and maintained. In terms of value for money, Hotel Centrum exceeded my expectations. from the hotel we also commuted by bus to Taormina and Syracuse which is short , smooth and affordable drive that takes you to the center of each city, 10 min walk from city center .

The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and valued as a guest from the moment I set foot inside the door. I visited Catania 14 years ago and stayed in a teeny apartment over in the old town amongst the bustle of the markets and restaurants, but Hotel Centrum offered me a much more grown up and relaxing experience as a 40 year old woman travelling alone, who wanted to be near to the transport links for easy travelling. Upon arrival, I was offered an early breakfast, because I was leaving to catch a bus before 7:30am. As promised, at 6:45am they made me a huge jug of americano/ling black coffee (offered either cappuccino, espresso, americano etc)and let me just let me into the breakfast room to fill myself up with the delirious food on offer. The spread included: homemade cakes, tortes, freshly prepared and whole pieces of fruit, cereals, yogurt, tiramisu looking cream puddings, salamis, cheese, bread, cooked items, bruschetta…the list goes on! It was presented so beautifully and thoughtfully (unlike chain hotels clinical buffet arrangements). There were carrot and blood orange juices to refresh yourself with too. The room was spacious and very clean ( and cool with the AC!). I had a sweet little balcony to sit out on and enjoy a lovely cold drink on whilst gazing out at a fab view. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone anyone!

Our 8 night stay at Hotel Centrum was fantastic! All of the hotel staff were helpful, friendly, spoke English, and gave great recommendations on where to get bus tickets, restaurants, etc. They were able to arrange reliable taxi service for us. The location was walkable to both the central tourist area near the cathedral & the bus/train stations, and easy access to a pedestrian walkway to Bellini Theater to avoid walking busy narrow streets. The hotel & room were clean & we had one of the best bathrooms in Europe for a hotel this size (big & well lit). There was an elevator. The wi-fi worked well, it was quiet, comfortable temperature, had a refrigerator, there was plenty of light, space for luggage & clothing, and the TV was fine. The BREAKFAST was OUTSTANDING ~ a variety of homemade pastries, Italian cheese & cold cuts, savory quiche/appetizers, scrambled eggs, breads, cereals, fruit, juice & choice of expresso, cappuccino, hot chocolate or tea. They gave us some pastry & beverage prior to a very early taxi pick-up to the airport. One night after a long tour, the staff made a room service salad & beverages for us to have with some of our leftover pizza/sandwiches in the breakfast area & put the charges on our room.

Hotel Centrum is a lovely hotel located near the train station. There is also a bus stop round the corner which will take you back to Catania airport for only €4. The staff are very nice, welcoming & helpful. My double room was lovely.. The room had air conditioning, a nice bathroom with a lovely shower. The bed was comfortable. There was a tv with some international tv channels. The breakfast consisted of a buffet with lots of choices- fruits, eggs, meat, breads, cereals etc... The room had a small balcony with a beautiful view & nice sunsets. The old center with the Duomo is a 10mns walk away. If you are in Catania for a couple of days, like I was, I would really recommend going up the dome of St Agatha's church. The view is stunning & if you go at the right time you can also see a wonderful sunset. If like me, you fancy a sea swim- there is a Lido by the train station where you can soak up the sun & have a sea swim. As a solo traveller, I felt safe in the neighbourhood. The only negative experience was when I arrived from Siracusa to Catania train station, a few men came to see me to ask if I needed a taxi. Turned out they are not real taxi drivers. I saw one of them taking people in his own car. In the end I walked from the station to Hotel Centrum & it was not too long a walk.

The hotel was in a great location. The room was very spacious and had a rooftop terrace. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean and there were lovely toiletries in the bathroom(s). The breakfast buffet had a wonderful variety of foods. The staff in this hotel were the best I have come across. Very friendly, polite and helpful. The reception staff were very informative about the area and always willing to offer any advice whether it be about travel, local restaurants or local events. Paola, the owner, went out of her way to get me medical advice when I took ill. It was thanks to Paola that I made a speedy recovery. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to visit Catania.

Excellent location to visit Catania on foot, secure parking inside the property, good breakfast buffet. Spacious room, comfortable bed; our bathroom needs a complete renovation though. Views to the Etna from the breakfast terrace. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Special mention for Estefanía at the breakfast room, she is superb, very caring and professional. Everyday has a big smile for everybody.

Excellent communication with the property via email before I arrived. As a solo traveler, I booked a single room. It was perfectly adequate to my needs - a twin bed, large window, desk and end table, and large bathroom. The room was clean and came with plenty of towels. The wifi signal was strong throughout the hotel. Excellent location, within easy walking distance of many must-see tourist sights and perfectly safe after dark. Also convenient to the metro. Staff at the front desk (which is staffed 24-hours) were very helpful. A wide variety of sweet and savory food offered for breakfast, plus fresh coffee, with the option to eat outside on the terrace. The hotel is on the fourth floor but the elevator works great. Overall, it exceeded my expectations and I would definitely stay here again.

I loved absolutely everything about this hotel! It is located in the centre, easy to find and comfortable walk from the station. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fresh and just about perfect to start the day with. I stayed in their flat - spacious and beautiful, with a nice view of their courtyard- could not have asked for anything more for my first experience in Catania! Would definitely stay there again if I return!

The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of choices, with an option to eat indoors or on the lovely roof terrace. Our superior room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Very beautiful high mural painted ceiling. Central location in city. Some staff were exceptional, especially Mary who served us in the hotel bar on the terrace. Her customer service was fantastic.

The absolute best location in Catania just steps from the Cathedral and main square and better still, the working fish market! We could walk everywhere. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We used the private sauna, steam room and jacuzzi and loved it! We were also blown away not only by the incredible rooftop sitting area with a view of Mount Etna and the city but the balcony for breakfast in the morning. Our room was a bit small but we were not there too much and we were impressed that despite being near the big street market and restaurant area, it was very quiet! The staff helped us navigate not only driving RIGHT to it in the centre but dropping off our car at a locked lot nearby. Top marks!

The room was spacious and clean. It had everything we needed. The breakfast by Chef Giuse was awesome and fresh. The front staff was very helpful and accommodating. They helped book tours and were great with suggestions. The balcony and rooftop garden had beautiful views of Catania. Glad there were elevators! The location was perfect- right in the centre of town and close to everything!! We felt safe staying there and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location was perfect, just next to the cathedral square. Our room had a balcony overlooking the Duomo. Moreover, we could enjoy wonderful views of Mt Etna from the rooftop terrace. The place is very clean. All the staff were wonderful, very welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts prepared by Gusy were delicious, plenty of choice and fresh-made.

My room is facing the restaurant.Can hear the restaurant noise at night. Would be noise for the hotel to give bigger rubbish bin. Water leaks everywhere everytime after shower. The hotel staffs only in hotel from 8am to 10pm. Would be nice if have 24 hours staff as can be inconvenience without staff around. Breakfast needs to have more variety like vegetables and fruits. I love the location is right in the city centre. Very convenient to go duomo and other places. Lots of nice restaurants around it. Staffs are very helpful including breakfast staff.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Romano Palace! The hotel perfectly blends classic elegance with modern comfort, surrounded by lush tropical gardens that create a peaceful and luxurious retreat in Catania. Our room was spacious, clean, and stylish, with a super comfortable bed and a lovely terrace. Breakfast was varied and delicious, featuring fresh local products. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional – always smiling and ready to help. One of the highlights is the hotel’s proximity to the beach – just a few steps and you’re at the sea! The hotel pool is also a great place to unwind, calm and very well maintained. The location is ideal – close to the airport and still within easy reach of the city center. A place of understated luxury and authentic Sicilian hospitality. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The room was very comfortable and had a lovely view and balcony over the park. The decor was grand if a little dated. There is so much character in this hotel on a very grand scale. If you want a perfect modern sterile hotel without any character go to a different hotel. The foyer was beautiful. There was a beautiful garden with a large swimming pool and plenty of sun loungers and an area to sit and relax with plenty of tables and a fountain. The breakfast was perfect for us offering a large selection of hot and cold food and new coffee machines were installed during our stay. There is also access to a private beach area 5 mins down the road where we had free access to lingers and umbrellas. Lastly and most importantly the staff at reception and at breakfast were always friendly and helpful and nothing was ever a problem to them.

Rooms were lovely, and comfortable beds Large balcony on superior room with plenty of outdoor furniture. All kept very clean. Brilliant pool - very deep at the deep end. Not too busy. Very clean but not chloriney. Comfy beds around. Perfect! Opposite the beach, short walk to beach club where the hotel pays for you to have a lounger and umbrella (really nice one). Quiet private section of beach. Events here in the evening. A short 15 min Lime (rented scooter via the Lime app), which if you bulk buy minutes on its quite cheap, but taxis are very expensive. €25 minimum (large taxi). Great WiFi

Breakfast is very good ,fresh and complete with a nice view .I chose the Romano Palace hotel following the good reviews, the excellent location and close to the beach. I really like the architecture of the hotel, spacious rooms,very clean everywhere ,the particularly beautiful pool, the gardens around the hotel. I had dinner at the hotel, authentic Italian food and I didn't miss the cocktails in the bar either. Overall, Romano Palace is exactly what I was looking for, the authentic Sicilian spirit. 10 out of 10

The hotel is in a nice area right across from a clean, warm beach, and close to the airport as well.The property is quite nice. What we did not like is that the rooms were hot when we arrived, (they knew that we were there as 4 of us attempted to check in earlier but only 2 of the rooms were ready, which was fine as we were a couple of hours early). With that being said, the AC was certainly in need of an upgrade as it blows only slightly cool air. The refrigerator did not work, even after maintenance, it was still very warm and unsuitable to keep even a bottle of water. There was only ONE 2 prong outlet in the room that I was able to charge my phone with...behind a cabinet that held the TV and fridge,had to be pushed away from the wall to access it. There were NO outlets on either side of the bed for travelers that use a converter. This is is a 'luxury' hotel, near the airport, which means there are many travelers from all over, so why hasn't all this been upgraded? The man at the front desk was professional and helpful, I could tell that he agreed about the room needing upgrading in these areas as he certainly seemed apologetic. The restaurant is a bit pricey for what you get, and they charge 4EU pp 'coperto' fee, for dishes, utensils, glasses,etc. At the start, we told waiter we'd need 4 separate checks. At the end of dinner, this was quite a difficult thing to achieve. Had to go to the front desk and tell them each and every item, took over 1/2 hour. Upgrades needed!

The room had two balconies and was in a historic building close to all the famous city center monuments. Both the rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained including the amazing Sicilian wine!! Furthermore, the jacuzzi tub in the property was like the perfect cherry on top. The host, Nicolas was very gracious and hospitable and helped us for all inquires we had.

Location of Dome (Hotel) is easy access to the historical center in Catania within walking distance. Felt relatively safe around the neighbourhood even after dinner at night. Decor of place are clean & simple, stylish & quiet, great bathroom with nice shower, our room is spacious with lovely balcony overlook the square. Nicola the Host provide excellent services, he is helpful, pleasant and friendly and speak perfect English. The breakfast is customize to your choice from the list, you decide when you want it so no time restriction and where you want it either in your room or out at dinning area.

Location: Unbeatable, central location. A short walk to the main sights and plenty of excellent bars and restaurants nearby. Room: King Room with Balcony was spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Excellent water pressure In the shower. Service: Nicola was an outstanding host. He responded to all our queries almost instantly and accommodated every request we had (extra pillow, alternative breakfast options etc.) Breakfast: Excellent quality of sweet and savoury items available each day, delivered to your room at the time of your choosing. Overall: Dome would definitely be our first choice if staying in Catania again due to the central location and level of service we received.

Nicolas s an exceptional welcoming host, looks after every detail to ensure your stay is comfortable, provides all the information you need, he kindly carried our luggage (my husband had a broken rib, so it was extremely helpful!) and the B&B is just two minutes away from The Dome, a perfect place to explore the area. The facilities are exceptional, modern and well design thinking of the guests' comfort, perfectly cleaned, great light, well equipped bar, able to book a taxi for you and very friendly! Thanks Nicolas, you made our stay exceptionally great! I wish had stay more nights there!

My experience at the Dome Hotel in Catania was exceptional. The moment I stepped in, I was struck by the elegant design, warm ambiance, and attention to detail throughout the hotel. Close to the city centre. Beautiful modern room with jacuzzi, breakfast is basic but everything you need is in the fridge. + You can get an extra small breakfast in a bar around the corner, this is included in the price. Good communication with the owner using Whatsapp.

Gloria was exceptional. Checked in with us, sorted the few little issues we had efficiently and was really lovely. what a gem she is! location is perfect, very central. jacuzzi was a relaxing end to a busy day of walking!

The place was great, even with the language barrier, Adele was wonderful, helpful, and welcoming. The room was splendidly clean and good smelling and of course, a wonderful jacuzzi. The location is also great, very close to the fresh market, and lots of great restaurants nearby.

The location of the hotel is amazing, the room is clean with cute balcony, comfortable bed, big bathroom with the shower and jacuzzi bathtub. The host Filippo is very nice and friendly, he met us and helped with the parking and luggage.

The accommodation was great. The breakfast was nice and served in a bar nearby (Red Bar). The jacuzzi was a perfect way to end a long day :) The host was very nice and responsive, also helped us with booking a taxi to the airport.

Clean room. Nice view of Etna. Jacuzzi is amazing! Modern but with character! The price is great, there’s a built in radio and Air Conditioning. The host always makes sure we are comfortable, he is friendly and always “on call”. The cleaning ladies restock on juice and biscuits in the kitchen. There is an amazing coffee machine!

We could pick free pastry and a coffee for breakfast in some bar nearby, it worked well for us, you can also sit there, but it's not really comfortable and the street view isn't really nice. We just took it to the room and had a nice breakfast in the kitchen. It's good value for money, some people can probably find climbing up the stairs 3-4 floors a bit tricky or the breakfast place a bit lame, but we enjoyed the close location, the jacuzzi tub in the room was nice after long city walks or climbs on Etna and there are very nice restaurants close by. Filippo gave us amazing advices about restaurants and places to visit, was very helpful.

Beautiful room and so well decorated - it felt very palatial. Super friendly and helpful staff with clear directions. Close to train station and bus stops as well as a walk to centre. Breakfast was just what I needed, check in and out seamless and the jacuzzi in the room was very much appreciated!

We had an amazing stay at this apartment! Host Gabriella was incredibly welcoming and took great care of us throughout our visit. She was attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of fresh and tasty options. Our room was cleaned daily, which made our stay even more comfortable. The location is perfect—very central and within walking distance to the city center, making it easy to explore the area.

The host Gabriella was very kind and supportive and solved our little problem with the room immediately and friendly. The B&B is very good located and to reach easy and in a short time to if you arrive by train, bus or from the airport. Although it’s located directly on a buisy road with a lot of traffic also at night, it’s quiet if you close the window and use air con. Or you ask for a room that overlook the courtyard. The rooms are located in the first floor. You can need an elevator if you want or need. The rooms are very nice and spotless clean with a very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. The way to the historic center is very short (10 min to walk). The breakfast offers a selection of Coffee, fruits, sweet treats and eggs and you can order various delicious cornettos. It was more then expected in a B&B. We enjoyed our short stay (only one night) very much and recommend Gabriella’s B&B.

Absolutely beautiful place, had a jacuzzi in the room which was lovely. The property itself is beautiful. 10/10 all around. The owner of the place is absolutely lovely and made the stay very welcoming and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend it.

good location, very friendly staff. We chose a room with bath tub/ jacuzzi which is wonderful. There are 2 plasma with free you tube & netflix and we did enjoy our stay there like honey moon. Have an additional shower room & toilet. So the room is much more bigger & spacious than expected. I love it very much.

Was perfect for what we needed - somewhere close to the airport and easy for the night. Host could not have been more friendly - fantastic. Place was clean and lots of lovely details, shower gel and towels. We weren’t there long enough to explore the area but close to the Marina for an evening stroll and a very friendly bar at the top of the road. Lovely breakfast in the morning just what we needed before a long drive. Would stay again

The room was excellent. It was really specious and clean. It had not only a jacuzzi bathtub but also a nice walk-in shower. Breakfast was also great, nice selection. Location is also perfect, everything is in a walking distance.

Cute hotel with very nice jacuzzi tub. The check in was very easy. The front desk lady seemed annoyed by everyone and everything. The breakfast was tasty! Just enough to get you started for the day. The man tending to the room was very kind and attentive. Loved him! There was no WiFi in the entire building. That was frustrating as i was trying to coordinate with my friends flying in. The stairs were endless to the rooms, and with luggage it was not a fun trip up and down. Cute but only if you don’t want to talk to the outside world or have luggage.

Location is great to walk around Catania. Hotel is a bit difficult to find and is quite old of course. Room was clean and tub was new. Water was warm but not hot making a jacuzzi tub have less value. The staff was very nice and the breakfast good. I would say to stay here if you want a great location. We paid for parking around the corner and it was reasonable and secure.
