Best SPA I’ve been to in a long time. The place felt soo comfortable right away. The Reception was wonderful and welcoming. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The food was tasty and resonable price. 13-20€ for the main course. Breakfast was amazing, we had roomservice breakfast on the balcony, which was amazing. SPA zone is perfect, enjoyed the evening in the jacuzzi with a champagne bottle. The coctail bar was nice. Tasty coctails! And enoyed the morning with Sups on the lake.

Great and beautiful place with very polite and helpful staff. One of the most breathtaking places we have visited so far. Surely worth to visit with family, friends and loved ones will recommend 100%. Large and clean SPA centre with different types of saunas, also has an large outdoor jacuzzi. Very clean and large numbers with all needed included. Breakfast was fantastic with large choices for every guest. Also special compliments for the chef Vadim the dishes are amazing, tasty and interesting. Certainly will visit this place once again.

I’ve been visiting this hotel for almost 10 years! It’s a wonderful place if you’re looking for peace and seclusion — this is the place to be! Beautiful surroundings, amazing nature, a great pool and spa, everything is beautifully maintained, and there’s a huge outdoor jacuzzi. The breakfast is excellent!

Tigra Hotel is a fantastic choice if you’re looking to stay near Cēsis. The location is incredibly convenient—just a few minutes from the town center—making it easy to explore the beautiful area while enjoying a peaceful retreat. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful throughout the stay, always ready with a smile and great local tips. The rooms were spotless, very comfortable, and surprisingly quiet, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast was another highlight—fresh, varied, and delicious, with something for everyone. It really set a great tone for the day. Overall, Tigra Hotel offers excellent value and a warm, relaxing experience. I’d absolutely stay here again!

We would like to mention that the previous comments on the breakfast buffet the coffee are not up to date. There are two coffee machines with all popular specialties, and the buffet plates were regularly refilled. Everything was perfect, especially the family room that actually consists of two connected rooms with a common bathroom. The beds were very comfortable.

It's not a perfect hotel, but it was one of the cheapest options in Gauja Park at our selected dates with included breakfast. In reality it looks much better than in photos. We expected some worn-out soviet style hotel, but got a normal 3 star hotel instead. Quiet and spacious rooms. We got one child bed and one baby cot for free. Staff was nice and helpful. There was cheap bike rent.

Cosy hotel with nice staff. It has pretty much everything you need for a short stay, there is free water and coffee, the breakfast was delicious and with various options, and the quality of food was good.

The hotel was beautiful with a rich architecture. The room was spacious and comfortable with a great view. The breakfast was amazing.

It had everything, even tea, coffee and a snack. My room had private shower and toilet and private entrance which was convinient. The room had very comfortable bed, i slept like a baby. Very clean and cozy. I would definitely stay there again.

Great apartment in the city center. It has been beautifully renovated and all the fittings and fixtures are great quality. Its a very large apartment and gas a lot of natural light. It is up a flight of stairs. Their was a bit of noise from the apartment above, but not enough to be a problem. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Lots of storage. The dining, lounge and kitchenette is very spacious and there is everything you need, including a coffee machine. The bathroom is also a good size and has a big shower with lots of hot water. There are cafes, restaurants and nice shops close by and its easy to walk to the sights close by. Parking was onsite and free. There is no air conditioning, but we didn't need it. I think there was a fan.

It is an excellent place of accommodation in the very center of Cesis. The concert hall is across the street, the supermarket next door. Parking is convenient in the back yard parking lot. There is a nice cafeteria on ground floor, other restaurants are also very close. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, everything is clean and well decorated. We have been there twice and booked several more visits.

Location is perfect, in the very center of city, within few minute walking to all main attractions. Free parking in the backyard. Very easy communication and self check-in, key left at lock box. Apartment itself freshly renovated, very stylish and modern, equipped with all possible you might need during your stay. All clean and comfortable.

The stay at the apartment was just perfect. The place was clean, easily accessible, with contemporary design, modern furnishings, and a stylish layout. It had a great view of the city center—probably the best view in town. The host had thought of everything, including the baby crib that I requested prior to the stay.

Spacious,light flat in very good location; newly renovated building, tasty interior will all amenities you would need for the perfect stay, starting with coffee machine, finishing with robes and slippers. Flat with 5 star hotel quality :) our family had a pleasure celebrating Easter here.

The apartment was super clean, super stylish, super comfortable and definitely the best apartment we have ever stayed in. (The sofa bed was very comfortable). The bed linen was beautiful. There were great touches like free laundry facilities, coffee machine(with coffee) and basics like oil for cooking. The hosts Aiga and Girts could not have been more welcoming, just lovely people!

The apartment was exceptionally clean and well designed - pleasant to spend time in and very comfortable to live. There was a small kitchenette, coffee machine, basic spices, all the dishes needed. What I appreciated the most was how the lightening was placed in the room - in a way that you cand "divide" different spaces with the light. It was very sweet that the owner of the place called us when the electricity went down (in the entire region) to ask if everything is fine and comfort us. Great place with amazing host.

Lovely apartment with beautiful furnishings. Compact but not too small. Kitchenette is fine for simple things like muesli and yoghurt for breakfast, wine and snacks in the afternoon etc (not really big enough for cooking although a hot plate and some saucepans etc are provided). The bed was very comfortable and linens and towels etc were high quality. Very convenient location, short walk to all the sights and cafes/restaurants as well as close to the bus and train station.

The room is lovely, very comfortable, clean and has everything you need for a few days stay. The kitchenette is very well equipped and even the knives are sharp. :) Close to the train and bus station of Cesis and since the town is so small one is also close to supermarkets and the central street. Easy check-in. Aiga is a great host, very helpful and always answering fast.

This place has a very cool, modern, industrial vibe — it's a former helmet factory that’s been transformed into a hotel with a café. I stayed here with my family, and the kids absolutely loved the net park outside, which was included in the price (to be honest, the adults enjoyed it too!). There’s also a small indoor playroom for children, which was a nice bonus. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant, which offered kid-friendly options, reasonable prices, and really tasty food. Breakfast was included and also excellent — we had a delicious omelette, and the kids were happy with their pancakes.

Second time staying here. Cool place in the scenic town of Ligatne. Every room is a bit unique, but all of them are modern and comfortable. Breakfast is on order from 09:00, which this time was fine as we had time and very delicious (scrambled eggs with bacon). Last time I needed to leave rather early, and then not being able to just quickly grab a buffet breakfast earlier than 09:00 didn't fit our plans as wel.

Lovely overnight stay with spacious room, comfortable beds and great shower. Also included free entry into the net playground. Breakfast was delicious and since it only started at 9am, they accommodated our need for an early start by packing the cold items and quickly serving the hot dishes.

Hotel rooms are like new - all fresh. Breakfast made according your choice, is warm, tasty and rich. Hotel staff is nice and welcoming. Hotel is ok and interesting also for family with kids. Līgatne is amazing place itself!

Very friendly host! We booked kinda late and in the middle of national holidays, but the host was super responsive and kind! Everything was very good! Super clean and comfy, nice views out of the windows, perfect location, big bed and big bathroom, there was everything you could possibly need. Nice restaurant downstairs which we definitelly would like to try another time. Will definitelly come again!

Great location – good breakfast & excellent coffee next door, the church and a nice beer bar two minutes away. Very tasteful and well thought-out interior, cozy, sparkling clean, every amenity in perfect working condition.

Perfect location, elegant interior, delicious restaurant, nice summer terrace and helpful staff. Inside the restaurant there was a play corner/playhouse with toys and books for kids. As requested baby crib was ensured without any extra charge.

We absolutely loved the apartment, everything was so well thought out, clean, and beautifully designed. Every detail felt carefully chosen, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that made our stay even more special. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of Cēsis. It’s definitely a little gem, perfect for anyone visiting the town. We were also very happy that the place is pet-friendly, our dog felt comfortable and welcome too, which means a lot to us!

Amazing design hotel! Very central but at the same time quiet and peaceful. It's the best choice for design lovers who admire historical, wooden architecture with the modern twist. One of the hotel highlights was self-service: you can buy high quality pre-paid meals and heat them up in apartment. There is also lovely garden where to have a morning coffee or some night cup.

The apartment space was truly beautiful (we stayed in the largest apartment) and we loved the ease of check in using a code. We were welcomed in person and everything was explained fully to us. Particularly loved the option to purchase pre-packed delicious restaurant quality food so easily and reheat in our room with a high quality air fryer. This was a great option as it was raining outside and we didn’t have to go outside for dinner or breakfast. Would rate it 11 out of 10 if possible.

This is basically our perfect apartment - lovely, cute historic building on the outside, tastefully restored with modern finishings (but preserving that traditional feel) inside. The hosts have created something really lovely here, barely 2mins walk from central Cēsis, which is also an incredibly charming place for an overnight stay and at least half a day to explore. Check-in was very easy, through door codes, and the facilities and room was simply amazing. We loved it.

We had the pleasure of staying at this remarkable hotel, and I can't express how wonderful my experience was. From the moment I arrived, I felt very welcomed as every detail of our stay was well thought over. What truly stood out was the hotel's interior. It’s not just stylish—it’s an impressive blend of modern design with a deep respect for Latvian culture and heritage. Every piece of furniture and decor was meticulously chosen, creating a space where we didn’t want to leave. The thoughtfulness extends to even the smallest details, from the authentic local products available in the store to the amazing inclusion of a Ninja Speedi in the apartment. The convenience of having that high-tech cooking option available really elevated the stay, making it feel like a home away from home. Additionally, the hotel provides a “Friends Card,” offering discounts on local services, which is a fantastic touch. It’s clear they genuinely care about supporting the local community while giving their guests the best experience possible. In short, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. I’m already looking forward to my next stay and encourage others to experience this unique and memorable place.

It’s our second stay at Glūdas Grava, out of many others elsewhere in Cēsis. This time, after considering alternative options, we deliberately decided to return here for a number of reasons. 1. The place is exceptionally clean, tidy and comfortable. Stylish and modern room which at the same time does not feel sterile, and offers all the necessary facilities in running order. You can have your breakfast outside at the small table in front of each suite, or at the common picnic place in the territory. 2. The location and the environment are unique: while being situated within 10 min walk distance from the city centre, you enjoy the total calmness of a quiet residential district, with no traffic and other signs of busy life, where you can go to sleep and wake up with open windows, breathing fresh air and listening only to birds. And the closest supermarket with everything you need is just 300 m away. 3. In the same area there is a picturesque valley with a splendid view, crossed by the winding path that leads to the central castle park (one of the main attractions of the city), offering an excellent walking route not often chosen by tourists. 4. The last but not the least – always friendly and welcoming hosts. Negotiable check-in/check-out hours and other options (tip: you can choose between a single or a twin blanket – specify your preference on booking!). Bottom line: next time we might not even spend time considering other options, and just return here again and again :)

Recently renovated apartments within easy walking distance of the center of town and sights. Grocery store nearby. Clean/modern apartment. WIFI was good. Kitchenette was functional. Overall comfortable stay.

Very convenient location - about 15 minutes walking distance from the concert hall "Vidzeme". Spacious parking lot. Quiet place. An option to enjoy your breakfast outside in front of the room; however, please note that there is no restaurant. On the other hand, everything needed for self-catering is in place. Pick up some Italian cheese from Bekko in Old Town and local bread, and you'll enjoy the place.

This was my third time at the place and I have already several bookings made for the months to come. The place is wonderful - beautiful surroundings, clever contemporary, cosy and comfortable design make it a place where it's always good to return. There is a big parking space in front of the building and the fence around the property - very convenient for walking with dog.

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was simple but delicious, and it was clear they put a lot of care into it. Our room was perfect – clean, cozy, with a very comfortable bed. It was also surprisingly quiet, which we really appreciated. The location is exceptional – just steps away from the main street and the castle, yet tucked away from the noise. Highly recommend!

In a great location with a view over the countryside, with fantastic sunsets and hot air ballooning. Within walking distance of trains, buses, cafes, parks, restaurants, shops, castle, museums and churches. The hotel is so quiet, I just loved it. The breakfast was fresh and really delicious. The really lovely owners made me feel very comfortable and at home. I wish to highly recommend the Province Hotel.

Our first visit in Latvia. This hotel was like a travel fifty years back in time in a perfect way. Vary calm very clean very quiet in an excellent location. Big parking with very few cars. Spacious room. Big bathroom with a window. Excellent local breakfast served individually to your table. Very friendly young people serving you. The master of the house was an individual like in moovies ontly, we liked him very much!

This hotel is a hidden gem, much like Cesis itself. It's a lovely litte town, and the hotel was wonderful. I think we were the only two people staying, but the hotel owner greeted us. For breakfast the next day, the lady serving what was a very hearty breakfast, was friendly. We think the bed was the biggest we have ever slept in, and was definately one of the most comfortable. We slept very well on our stay. We were able to leave out luggage while we explored Cesis the day we checked out, and when we picked the bags up, we had a nice chat with the manager in his broken English and our broken German - but somehow we made each other laugh. He has a cute cat called Maurice too. :-)

Most of all, the owner is extremely nice and friendly. He picked us up from the train station and dropped us back on the last day. The cabin was comfortable and well equipped. There was even salt, pepper, coffee and such basic ingredients in the kitchen. Hot water was always available. The site is amazing, lots of sports to play, and a barbecue. You need to bring your own charcoal and lighting fluid. The forest and river around it are great. Make sure to bring anti-mosquito stuff!

The host was very nice and welcoming but otherwise left us alone and we felt like at home. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed. The huge playground outside is a big plus, very convenient if you are travelling with kids. The location is nice and quiet, right outside Cesis city. Nearest shop is 4 min drive away. Lots of attractions nearby - for example Rakši zoo was very close and definitely worth a visit!

Located in the woods, this place is the perfect option to stay peacefuly in the nature. Wooden houses are even better than the pictures, the yard is amazing and the guest provides you almost all kind of stuff to make your stay comfortable and easy. The heating was adequate in all rooms despite the low outside tempreature. Great place to rest and relax. You can also have a bbq

Our accommodation at Oskalns was exceptional. We stayed after a snowfall and it was just like a fairytale.The log cabin was cosy, super clean and well appointed.

Such a cozy and interesting place! Located conveniently between Sigulda / Cēsis / Līgatne, so you can stay at the hotel and drive everywhere within 15-30 minutes. The hotel grounds are also fun to explore: ponds with fish, stone-clad dinosaurs, terraces. There were 2 friendly dogs and a cat, the kids were happy to pet them - but if your kids are afraid or allergic, the owners will lock the pets away. There is also a chicken coop - the kids were allowed to help the owners feed them, it was very fun! We lived in a family room that has 2 separate rooms (one for kids, and one with king size bed), very convenient. The breakfast was delicious and generous. And breakfast area is super elegant! Will definitely recommend this place if you explore the neighborhood by car.

Great premises in a very quite surrounding. Nice breakfast area, spacious and plenty of natural light. The room was also comfortable, particularly the very spacious shower. The breakfast was quite good, although the assortment of food could be a little better. The manager (the man) was very friendly

Absolute gem. Everything and everyone was perfect. We have stayed there twice before and were determined to stay there again. It didn't fail us on our third visit. THe staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is quiet and clean. It is not far for several tourist sights.
