WONDERFUL!!!!! From the moment I arrived the proprietor, Joyce made me most welcome and everything about my stay was first class. I stayed in The Blue Room. Beautiful decor, one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, excellent bathroom with roll-top bath and separate walk-in shower with rain-shower. Lovely amenities in the bathroom, Joyce thought of everything. The tea/coffee supplies were high quality with fresh milk, fresh ground coffee and coffee pot and some very tasty homemade shortbread. I dined both nights at Blackwell House and Joyce provides a very tasty menu with good quality produce. I especially enjoyed the Salmon and roasted vegetables and the Pear, Walnut and Blue Cheese salad. Homebaked bread was also a highlight. Breakfast - well, what a lovely spread provided and the choice of an Ulster Fry or a healthy porridge if preferred. I wish my stay had been longer than two nights! I would recommend Blackwell House very highly and sincerely hope it is not too long before I have the opportunity to return! Thank you Joyce, your establishment is akin in standard to Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons in my opinion and I think you have done a brilliant job in the top quality accommodation and services Blackwell House provide.

We had a great stay. The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities. The bed was wonderful, the sheets were high quality and the sleep was amazing. Our breakfast was a delicious array of fresh fruits to fresh eggs and much more...again amazing! This is a very relaxing location.

The Blackwell House is pleasantly out of the way. Which means, once there you feel as if you are living in your own Manor Home in the country. Away from hotels and Ubers and traffic and crowds. The home is stunning, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Joyce, the owner met us at the door and gave of warm, attentive service. We did not eat dinner, because it happened to be Sunday nights, but breakfast was delicious. As we were newly engaged, Joyce upgraded our room, which included a very nice master bath with claw-foot tub. (which we used!) We stayed for just one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. Relaxing is an understatement.

We had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay! You can tell from the moment you step though the door that Steve and Joyce are focused on delivering a fabulous experience to their guests. You can see and taste the quality of the breakfast offerings and it’s such an added bonus that eggs are provided by their very own chickens. We dined in on our second night stay and opted for the 5 Course menu. Hands down the best meal myself and my husband have had in a very long time. The salad leaves from the garden was a nice touch. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Fresh milk in the fridge along with some bottled water was appreciated. Everything was spotless and good to see measures which were introduced due to Covid -19 remain as a good standard. The real stars of the show however were the welcome party - Murphy & Maggie (resident dog & cat) who I could have easily taken home! Can’t wait to visit again soon!

Last minute stay due to working in the area. After a really long day and the next day being the same, I booked to be near the location I was working. Was greeted super warmly, everything explained and was shown the breakfast area, as I was leaving super early the next morning. Super sweet guy , interested in what I was doing in the area and just made me feel at super ease and welcome to the property. I was upgraded to one of their new rooms and just wow! Beautiful, modern room, loved the decor. The bathtub in the room was just amazing! A real touch of luxury and I needed a treat after a long day. Room was big and warm. Loved the fact there was a Dyson hairdryer, I have one so this was a lovely touch! Big soft pillows, really comfy bed. I struggle to sleep on my own, had absolutely no issue in this room! The bathroom is also huge, great shower and again very modern. Water provided for free also there is a mini bar in the room. Loved the different glasses in the cabinet. Super nice! Tv had so much choice on it so if you wanted to just chill, plenty to choose from. I did get a little bit warm during the night but there was a great fan in the room so it cooled me down. The location is stunning. The views are breathtaking. Really short distance to Tollymore Forest, you could literally walk it. Will be back for a longer stay and highly recommend over the bigger hotels in the area.

The location was beautiful and in a very convenient location to explore the Mourne Mountains / close to Newcastle. Felt very comfortable, clean, safe and friendly upon arrival. Staff were accommodating and attentive - yet had discreet presence and other guests were lovely. Beds were super comfortable, shower was amazing and everything was so clean. Amenities were superb and as requested we got dairy-free milk on arrival. Views were great and lovely grounds, the list goes on.... surpassed expectations.

Lovely stay at The Briers with baby and dog.. Stayed in one of the dog friendly rooms and it had access outside from the room. A very good travel cot was provided. Bed super comfy and shower powerful. Tea, coffee etc in rooms. Rooms very clean and spacious. Honesty bar is lovely, the place has a really nice welcoming feel. Continetal breakfast great and lots of choice. Would highly recommend, the owner and all staff could not do anymore. Looking forward to booking again and future plans look great.

Everything was perfect so welcoming cosy and comfortable me and my son and dogs had a fantastic stay Thank you very much indeed 😊 breakfast is serve yourself lovely everything you would ask or want for was delicious. Spotless building and roomms and warm never uncomfortable at all and you can change the heating to selection warmer or cooler just wonderful. Scenery is Amazing gardens beautiful with sheep and horses 😁 Recommending to friends and family and will stay here again 😁 Staff wonderful too 😊 thank yous for a great holiday.

We Loved this say Absolutely everything was just incredible, myself and my partner stayed in hut 2 and we cannot fault anything. We had the most relaxing stay. The location, the cabin, the hottub & the hospitality was 10/10 we will be back here that's for sure.

This is the second time now we have stayed here, love everything about it. How peaceful and relaxing it is, and this time the labs and sheep made it even better we loved watching them all weekend. Close enough to drive into Millisle or Donaghadee if want to do anything, hottub is a great bonus. Great hosts who are happy to help with anything you may need.

We had a wonderful stay at Tanglewood Stays. Harry and Mary were incredibly kind and welcoming, and it was such a bonus that our dog was greeted so happily. They checked in on us throughout the stay to see if we needed anything. The accommodation was comfortable and peaceful, and the hot tub was a real highlight. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully prepared, like the inclusion of some flip flops and bathrobes for accessing the hottub. Highly recommend and would love to return.

The property was fantastic with everything we needed. It was very clean for our arrival and the jacuzzi was lovely to relax in during the evening. The hosts were lovely and very helpful giving us good recommendations for food spots around the area and nice places to walk, they also greeted us with a nice bottle of Prosecco. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

My partner and I had just gotten engaged two days before hand and booked Tanglewood to stay at, it was the best engagement celebration in our own private little pod with a private jacuzzi!! The hosts were amazing and so considerate when we told them we got engaged they put up beautiful banners and got us champagne to celebrate. Tanglewood also had absolutely everything we needed and more! (The hosts even carried a BBQ over so we could cook up some steaks). Would 110% recommend to couples wanting a staycay away from everything or someone wanting some alone time, it was the perfect place for peace and quiet! Next time we’re in Newry we’ll definitely stay again! 🤗

The place was amazing, Mary was so nice. We stayed in the apartment not the pod, everything was newly done, the bed was very comfy, bathroom was clean they even had new toothbrushes and shower gel there, plenty of towels also. Mary also had water for us in the fridge, milk, lovely fresh bread and butter so we we were able to have a nice cup of tea with a toast in the morning looking out at the beautiful views around. Another amazing thing was that they allow pets so were able to bring our little dog with us. It was just amazing overall.

The view was something else! Loved the fact there was ingredients to make tea/coffee provided, given this is what you want after a drive. Bed was so comfortable, even the bed linen was great quality. Mary was so welcoming and helpful. Nice spacious shower. Wifi connect was excellent. We didn't bring our dog this time but its lovely to know he would be welcome.

Adrian is a wonderful Host. He showed us all around the house and the facilities. We all loved the pool and jacuzzi and steam room. The sitting area outside is amazing and comfortable. we all had a fantastic time and will definitely return. The house is beautiful inside and outside.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Hideaway in Portaferry! It was the perfect cozy escape for two, and we can’t recommend it enough. The place is lovely and private, with its own hot tub that made our stay extra special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved waking up to those gorgeous views over the fields. It’s such a peaceful spot, and being able to bring our dog along was a huge plus. Everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay was right there. We truly enjoyed every moment and would love to return. Five stars all the way!

Lynne and her husband are the perfect hosts. The room was so comfy, lovely and fresh and clean. Breakfast was delicious and the girls were so lovely and chatty. The whole house is very tastefully decorated.

Immaculately clean, comfortable, warm and welcoming. Everything was exemplary, from the decor, to the comfy bed, the lovely shower and the lovely soft towels. It was so comfortable that i would have liked to stay longer.

Calm and relaxed and beautiful to wonder around. The room was more than lovely with very comfortable bed and the shower was fantastic. Location perfect with good restaurants within a 5 minute drive. Breakfast outstanding. Thank you Lynne for your good care.

The family room was very clean, and spacious, the bunk bed for the kids was great. The breakfast the next morning was very nice and the staff was very friendly. Lots of parking, convenient for travelling to/from Belfast.

Excellent property with convenient location for my specific journey visiting clients around the north of Ireland, quiet, secure, comfortable and very clean. Hosts exceptionally welcoming, will be using whenever I travel to Ulster.

A soon as I arrived John offered me a cup of tea and went out of his way to remember my name. I’ve never been offered a drink on arrival before.I don’t drink tea so he made me a coffee instead. There were no coffee making facilities in the room, but I was offered a kettle and supplies if I wanted them, or I could use the kitchen facilities downstairs. I was told I could have my breakfast anytime I wanted and it was served on time every morning. John is a very hospitable host and nothing is too much trouble. He went out of his way to be a good host and I loved the stories he shared and the humorous way he shared them. The kitchen and dining facilities were in the same room and it was like a family environment. The bed was comfortable, room spacious and bathroom was large with both bath and separate shower and WC. I have never written such a long review before, and I would definitely stay at Banoge House if in the area in the future.

We had a lovely stay at banoge house. John has done everything to make our stay wonderful. The house and the location itself was beautiful. The hot tub was set romantic and amazing for us.John had also made delicious dinner and breakfast on request. It is a must go place . Couldn't ask for any better!!

If you want to experience what it is really like to live in the Irish Countryside, this is the perfect place. John, the owner was very friendly and accomodating, and gave us great information about the local area, and things to do. He made us a perfect Irish breakfast and excellent coffee!

John was Very welcoming and friendly, cooked an amazing breakfast. Grounds were stunning rooms were warm and cosy will defiantly be back! Thank you

A lovely estate with period features and furniture to match. Each room is a masterpiece with large rooms and modern en-suites. Comfy beds. Quite and peaceful surroundings . Well kept garden grounds,around an acre with redwoods and monkey puzzle trees and beautiful flowering plants. Lovely Ulster breakfast while watching Scooby Doo! Our host John was a kind and thoughtful. We will definitely be back.

Pretty much everything! When we arrived a staff member found out it was our anniversary which then lead to our room being upgraded to a suite, complementary prosecco and a late checkout added. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms and facilities and added extras in the room (coffee machine, robes etc) really add to the luxury feel of your stay! The bed was so comfortable, and the shower was amazing. Breakfast was included and there were plenty of options from cooked breakfasts to continental selection. Tea/coffee is brought to your room every morning before breakfast which is a lovely touch. We also had dinner in the restaurant which didn't disappoint, we both loved what we ordered, and will definitely return. If you're wanting to celebrate something special, or just want to feel really looked after, I would definitely recommend a stay here. The prices reflect the experience, and we will definitely come back.

This is the most beautiful, serene and welcoming venue I have been to in a long time. My son's wedding was held here recently and the entire experience was second to none! We spent the night before and the night of the wedding here, and from check in to check out it was simply superb! The staff were amazing. Maggie the Receptionist was wonderful and remembered our names throughout our stay. It's the little touches that count! The food was beautiful at breakfast and dinner in the lovely restaurant. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. I had a suite which was really spacious and worth the extra few pounds. The wedding itself was a dream from start to finish. The surroundings were exceptional, the food was first class and the staff were fantastic. The Chef had specially made the most delicious gluten free wheaten bread and a member of staff even arranged some for me to take home. A huge thank you to each and every member of staff that made our stay and the wedding so incredibly memorable.

Stayed with my wife for a family wedding on the 10th April 2025. What can I say about this hotel [ Amazing] Check in was at 3pm and was seamless from the young lady who checked us in. All information provided upon check in ie breakfast times which are booked in slots ahead of time. Freshly squeezed orange sent to room next morning as we had booked the luxury loft room which was absolutely stunning. Bathrobes provided and a free safe 2 bottles of water and small selection of fruit. Big comfortable bed 🛌 😴 Wedding was amazing food was outstanding and staff serving food and drinks at bar we're very professional and extremely pleasant. Breakfast next morning at our preselected time of 9am was beautiful. Continental selection to chose from of croissants toast cereal yogurt jam etc. Hot food was an irish fry which was served hot and it was definitely quality over quantity 👌 😋 thick sausage bacon black pudding with mushrooms egg of your choice soda and potato bread [ home made] all delicious 😋 I would definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful hotel and it's stunning grounds and amenities 10/10

A very comfortable hotel with excellent facilities in my spacious and comfortable room. I liked the coffee machine. The iron and ironing board were useful too. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast included was very tasty. There is a nice bar and function area downstairs. I was there for my aunt's 90th birthday meal, held there, which was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Wonderful location with beautiful sea views from our room which was spacious, light and airy. Well equipped with seating by the window to watch tide rolling in and plenty of wardrobe space. We were able to park the hire car right outside the pub. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Our full Irish breakfast was really tasty, we also ate an evening meal in the pub which was delicious. There was filming taking place on the morning we checked out (which we knew about) so we were invited to dine in 'Bow bells coffee house and tea rooms' for our breakfast which was only round the corner and also absolutely tasty and very enjoyable .

excellent value for money, generous sized comfortable well equipped room not luxury hotel standard but only on a cosmetic level as everything you need is supplied including tea coffee and a fridge, large spotless bathroom lovely view of sea and cosy heating you can adjust yourself and windows that open, then food was not fancy but was excellent quality great steak and accompanies delicious desert good house wine and all at excellent price, staff were lovely and professional, it’s location to harbour front and town was also excellent we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay ( something I couldn’t say after staying in some very expensive hotels) my husband who is fussy gave the Guinness a big thumbs up, would recommend Pier 36 whole heartedly

Lovely stay. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We had a triple room which was fine, comfortable beds, amazing views to the front over the harbour. The bathroom was clean but maybe needs a little tlc. We weren't aware until two days before our stay that filming for Hope Street was happening, so couldn't go into the pub or restaurant at all, which was disappointing as we enjoy the food and atmosphere there. Ate in Harbour and Company instead and the food and service were excellent. Breakfast was in pier 36, which was very good. So many young staff who are so well trained, friendly and efficient. Overall a great stay - hopefully next time we're back we'll have access to the restaurant.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The location was great, opposite the sea and in the town centre. Parking was easy even during high season. The staff were helpful. Breakfast, which was included, was delicious and served by Harry who did an amazing job and couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and welcoming.

I was visiting NI on business and decided to book at the Pier 36 and how pleased I did. The initial reception was very professional. I was shown up to the room (number 2) which was very large and spacious and spotlessly clean. All this with a sea view as well. I took the opportunity to have dinner down in the bar. I had the soup starter followed by Haddock both of which I enjoyed. After a good nights sleep and a wonderful hot shower I went for breakfast. I can not recommend the award winning Muesli highly enough followed by poached eggs on sough doe bread. I left feeling well fed and rested, which is all you can ask for from a B&B.

Our room was spacious and the bed was one of the most comfortable that I have ever experienced in a hotel. Tea and coffee service in the room along with biscuits and daily water. The on-site restaurants were both wonderful and the seafood dishes were excellent. Also Delicious cocktails and draught beer. Loved the Drawing Bar, a perfect place to relax in the afternoon before dinner. The hotel is right across the street from the Titanic Museum and a short stroll across the river to the center of the city. There is also a hop-on-hop off bus stop at the hotel for easy access to the city tour. One downside was that the free cultural heritage tour of the hotel building was only held daily at noon. We missed both days, because we were out and about exploring the city and learning about the history of the troubles. Highly recommend this hotel when staying in Belfast.

Amazing hotel! Stayed for 2 nights this week with my 9 year old. Emailed ahead asking for a good view if possible as I'd booked this trip as part of a birthday present for my daughter, we got an amazing view of the titanic museum and had a little plate of macaroons along with a happy birthday in chocolate. I also requested a mini fridge which we also got. Check in was easy and friendly, we arrived about 1pm and they said our room was already sorted so we got to go up to the room early, with no extra charge. Breakfast was amazing, the first morning we went down for breakfast and it was just perfect, the second morning we opted for it to be delivered to the room at a charge of £10, only problem we encountered was I asked for white pudding and black pudding but was given 2 black puddings and Daughter asked for pancakes and they were rock hard but that was honestly the only issue we had. In previous experience, I always find the breakfast at any hotel isn't as great when you get it delivered to the room but my daughter really wanted a lie in so that's why we did it for the last morning. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here, amazing location for the titanic museum and the SSE Arena. We walked over to the arena a few times to go to the arcades, mini golf and food places. Taxi into the centre of Belfast was about £8. We will hopefully be back! Thank you for an amazing stay.

Each member of staff I encountered here was impeccable, friendly and welcoming with nothing too much trouble. The hotel itself is beautiful and luxurious with stunning details wherever you turn. My room was perfect, clean and spacious with everything I needed plus the world’s most comfortable bed! It’s a short walk from the city centre, which takes you down the Maritime Mile so it’s perfect for stretching your legs while taking in the view. There is also convenient bus stops nearby if needed, as well as quick taxi service (ask at reception) plus an added bonus if you do the City Sightseeing bus tours: there’s a stop on the opposite side of the road. I don’t drive but I believe there is convenient parking as well. Overall, it’s a great hotel and I would happily stay again on my return to Belfast!

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a better hotel. Our room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable I slept like a log. The service was outstanding. Vegetarian breakfast was delicious. The cocktail bar is a great venue - I could have watched the bar staff making cocktails all night. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful. Last but definitely not least, William the concierge is an absolute rock star. We enjoyed it so much we’ve already booked to go back again next year

We had a really lovely stay in this lovely hotel - I will give you our pros & cons. Firstly the pros - great location for visiting the Titanic museum, had a wonderful and friendly welcome from Jackson at reception, so helpful. Very comfortable bedroom, spacious and loved the ESPA toiletries in the bathroom The Drawing Office was very comfortable and we had a lovely lunch - big shout out to Reuben who servd us a few times, so helpful, friendly and efficient, such an asset to your team! Breakfast was excellent, good standard and selection of food and good service. And now the cons - We loved the exhibits around the hotel, so informative. However, in the corridor to our room (120), the lighting was so poor we couldn't read the posters etc. We kept waiting for a sensor light to come on. The lighting in our room was terrible, 4 lamps all directing light to the floor. There was a huge window to let in light but our room was over looked so had to keep the curtains shut while changing etc, such a shame. We had dinner in the Wolff Grill, the food and service was ok but felt it should have been better for the prices paid. After, we felt we really should just have had dinner in the Drawing Room.

We have eaten here before but first time we stayed. Historic old world feel. very pleasant receptionist on arrival showing us to our room. Room was small even though it wasn't the economy room and there are no real views. Oddly the mini fridge is on the floor so you have to crouch down to get to it, very awkward indeed! Not a great fan of over bath shower but it was ok. The spa is nice though don't expect to go for a swim the pool is more of a large jacuzzi to relax in. the cabaña is nice. They are in the process of constructing an outside bar which will be great as bit of a hassle having to walk in through the hotel to the bar particularly if you are wet. Staff were all very helpful and friendly.

I recently stayed at The Old Inn, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel at home right away. The atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing, exactly what we needed for a getaway. We stayed in the Crawfordsburn room, which was absolutely beautiful and incredibly spacious. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and luxurious stay, and we loved every bit of it! One of the highlights was enjoying delicious cocktails in the spa – the perfect way to unwind! A special thank you to the lovely lady at reception who kindly offered us a complimentary late checkout, as our treatments ran over. This allowed us to fully relax and enjoy extra time in the spa without feeling rushed, which we truly appreciated. Everything about our stay was exceptional, and I can’t recommend this hotel enough. We will definitely be returning!

A massive thank you to Matthew and the amazing team in The Old Inn for looking after us so well during our stay on the 4th of May to celebrate my Hen party. From the very initial email, Matthew was so professional and helpful and nothing was a bother to him. This continued throughout the guided tour of the hotel and facilities, the countless emails, the business sheets and the final planning meeting a week before the event. It was an absolute pleasure to plan the event with Matthew and the whole weekend ran seamlessly thanks to his planning. All of the staff were incredibly friendly during our stay; our waitress Charlotte deserves a very honourable mention. She was so attentive and friendly while serving us in the CS Lewis Suite and spent time helping us to connect the laptop to the CleverTouch board to stream the movie. She even had a bow in her hair to match the bow theme! All of the staff during breakfast and afternoon tea were amazing. The entire party thoroughly enjoyed their stay, ranging from the comfort of the rooms, to the wonderful spa facilities and amazing food, we honestly couldn't fault any aspect of our experience. You all have made a significant life event even more memorable for me! I look forward to returning to the hotel in the near future, and will continue to recommend it! Thank you again to Matthew and all the staff.

We had a very relaxing weekend. Arrived for check in and very handily for such a trip they let us split the bill. Also we were 5 girls so we had a carriage room for 2 with two singles and then a carriage room that had a double and two singles for the other three which was so nice. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. There were plenty of towel and robes and flip flops. There is safe, coffee machine, hair dryer and a fridge with some soft drinks and water. We headed to the treetop top spa which has a heated pool, a hot top, a sauna and a steam room. There also is a cabana and further room to relax in. It’s very quiet and small but lovely and we spent nearly 4 hours there. We also went back the next morning! They bring drinks from the spa which you can then charge to your room. We then had a meal included in the restaurant which was really nice. In the morning you get a breakfast from a menu and then some continental items in a buffet. All really nice. We had a lovely stay and we would definitely return. Staff were all really friendly but not intrusive.

The narrows is perfectly positioned with great views and is close to the ferry and bars/restaurants. Very friendly and helpful owners, we arrived after the bar was closed but we were provided with an ice bucket to cool our own wine. We found free street parking easily, the room was comfortable and clean with tea/ coffee making facilities. Best of all it is inexpensive and dog friendly and we were surprised to find a cooked breakfast was included. We would have no hesitation staying here again if in the vicinity .

We received a very warm and friendly welcome from Kryzstof. He checked us in in a very professional and efficient manner. He guided us to our room and explained breakfast service while doing this. The bedroom and ensuite were lovely, with toiletries provided. Tea and coffee were available in our room. We had a great night sleep in the cosy bed. There were plenty of channels on the TV and free Wi-Fi. On waking the next morning, we went to the dining area were there was an extensive breakfast menu. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. All in all, it was a great place to visit and exceptional value for money. Thank you.

We went to a concert in the portico,so we were only a 5 min walk away. We had great fresh food in the narrows before hand. Staff were very polite and helpful. The room was cosy with a good size walk in shower and a sea view . Even though we had a main road outside, it was very quiet. We had breakfast which was delicious. Great value for money. The only reason,I didn't give a full score for the cleanliness, wasnt that it was dirty but rather a little mouldy in the bathroom, which is presumably just from condensation. Overall, cosy and great value for money. 😁

Location was excellent with fantastic view. A very comfortable room, very spacious, huge comfortable bed, walk-in shower, tea, coffee, mini fridge, little touches that made our stay so comfortable. A lovely beer garden, great atmosphere. An excellent breakfast, plenty of choice, large portion, and last of all an excellent host who looked after us extremely well. Would 100% recommend The Narrows and look forward to returning.

The room was lovely and cosy and we were given room 201 which had a beautiful view right up the Main Street. Great location, so handy to everywhere and free parking nearby. The beds were very comfortable. There was coffee, tea, biscuits and milk sachets all handy in the room. Kevin and his dad were so obliging, friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We always like ice with our drinks in the room (which is what we sometimes miss with staying in a hotel), but Kevin was more than happy to give us some ice. Good selection of continental breakfast in the morning, but only thing we missed was a cooked breakfast.

Great location and wonderful staff. This was our first time staying in a hotel with our dog and we were made to feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. This is a truly dog-friendly hotel, not just dog tolerant. Bowls and a bed were provided and we were able to bring her down to breakfast with us. Our bedroom was really spacious and spotlessly clean. Continental breakfast was included and was a lovely start to the day. Its central location was perfect for exploring Newcastle town as well as the local area. We’ll definitely return and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The real joy of the Donard is the the lovely staff who were fun, efficient and very kind. Our room was unexpectedly large with the bonus of a separate bedroom which we used as a dressing room. Best shower of our trip too. The continental breakfast was good. Location can't be beaten. This is a very comfortable, friendly and nice place to stay. Not luxurious but some lovely touches - like the complimentary sleep masks and ear phones (which we didn't need as the curtains screened the light and sound out well.) A great base for the beautiful Mourne Mountains and the beach.

Staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing. We had a great selection of food to pick from. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. The hotel was closed to local shops and restaurants and ideal for a weekend away. Will definitely return in the near future.

We recently stayed in Stormont Hotel for an evening with Chris Kamara and were very impressed with the staff and how attentive they were. In particular Eamon, Thomas and the breakfast supervisor who were great! Supervisor at breakfast was very friendly and went out of his way for us, all in all the staff there were brilliant and very attentive. The chef makes without a doubt thee best chowder we have ever had. Beautiful restaurant and ambiance . The room was a great size and bed was super comfy and pillows were like clouds! Breakfast was in a lovely part too, breakfast had something for everyone, a brilliant selection of both continental and hot food and the coffee machine is brilliant!! The hotel was getting in to Christmas mode when we arrived and it looked amazing when we were checking out!! We always stay in a Hastings Hotel when we are up in the city and Stormont didn’t disappoint us! Rhonda Carey

Comfy, quiet room. Really nice shower and toiletries. Comfy bed - I asked for non-feather bedding when booking and this was arranged for when I arrived. Tea/Coffee and Herbal tea well stocked. 2 bottles of still water also available. I arrived about 9pm and staff enquired if I needed dinner etc which I appreciated after a long journey. Quiet bar with quick service. Couldn't be any nearer Stormont which was handy for purpose of stay. Free parking! Helpful and friendly staff.

Bedroom was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was excellent, with a powerful walk in shower, Lounge area was very comfortable and staff in bar were very welcoming, and 'bar menu' had a good variety of offerings. La Scala restaurant service was extremely attentive and our meal (we just had 2 starters each) was very tasty

I stayed at the Stormont Hotel recently while travelling for business and was really impressed. I booked one of the suites, which turned out to be incredibly spacious, comfortable, and perfect for winding down after a long day. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, striking a great balance between professional and personable. It made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. I also had the chance to dine at the La Scala restaurant, which was a highlight. The food was delicious, well-presented, and the portion sizes were more than generous – you definitely won’t leave hungry. Overall, the Stormont Hotel made my business trip much more enjoyable, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Terry was very welcoming and helpful. There was fresh milk available for the tea, homemade biscuits, bottles of water in the fridge in the communal lounge and lavender bags on the pillows. The room was spacious, clean and well presented, a lovely place to stay in. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and just right for us. The breakfast was tasty and served at a convenient time. We were offered maps of the local area. Even though there is not a restaurant on site there is the excellent Poacher's Pocket within easy driving distance.

The Old Schoolhouse Inn is very nice. Terry and Avril were wonderful hosts. Our spacious room was beautifully decorated and furnished with lovely linens. The shower had very hot water and good water pressure. We had a delicious Irish breakfast with fresh baked goods. The parking at this location is great and easy to maneuver. Terry had great sightseeing suggestions for the area. We ate dinner at The Poacher's Pocket Restaurant which is about 10 mins from the Inn. The restaurant was beautiful with delicious foods. Go early as they get very busy. They have a lovely food gift shop attached to the restaurant.

Perfect location for exploring the louch, Nendrum monastic site, Castle Espie and more. Beautiful walking area with plenty of nature and many wild swimming spots!

The breakfast is exceptional. Home made breads and jams. Ulster Fry, cooked as it should be. Excellent quality of produce. This quality of breakfast would easily cost £15 in any cafe/brunch spot. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Plus really liked the handle. As I'm always terrified of falling using a shower over the bath tub. Bed really comfortable. Loved the homemade shortbread in the bedroom tea/coffee station. Honesty fridge in the communal sitting area with beer/wine/chilled water.

The location was perfect for us to meet family. The room was very large with a large ensuite and a great shower. The bed was really comfortable which you dont want to get out off. The breakfasts were amazing, and the hosts were so friendly & helpful, fantastic accommodation and we will definitely return here. The outside of the building is an old red brick school-house, but you need to go inside to see the amazing modern rooms and the wonderful hosts.

5star all through. Rooms were spacious. Beds really comfortable. Bathroom big with bath and walk in shower. Many comfortable areas to sit in big comfy chairs, sofas. Grounds beautifully kept. Plenty parking Warm welcome on arrival, easy check in, check out. All staff friendly helpful. Spa treatment best I have ever had. Pool area clean, loungers availability, jacuzzi excellent. Food at breakfast excellent choices, Cultra Inn on grounds good value and lots of choice.

Best anniversary stay we've had. We booked the family room as our daughter (5) joined us. She was thrilled to stay in a castle. Wife loved the spa and it's facilities. We tried the heated pool and jacuzzi. Ate a delicious supper at the Cultra Inn, a gastro pub on the estate. The estate is located 15min away from Belfast central and there's a train station 2 minutes from the hotel. So much more we loved - definitely worth it!

A birthday treat trip away for 3 days in Belfast with a view to seeing the Giants Causeway amongst other things. The hotel is very impressive , a beautiful building that is matched on the inside with impeccable decoration of furniture and art . Rooms full of comfy armchairs gives a friendly relaxing feel to the hotel . The staff are courteous and helpful . Our room was very nice but a poor nights sleep due to a noisy pipe triggered the perfect response to move us to a better room with a Louth view . We couldn’t fault the food , we ate at the Cultra Inn and the Lough Bar and had breakfast each day in Vespers . It was all very good . We used the spa which provided a pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna amongst the other usual spa facilities. It wasn’t busy and was very relaxing. The grounds are beautiful as well , adorned with outside garden sculptures that are quite intriguing….especially the donkey head outside the window we sat at in Vespers . It wasn’t perfect but it did all the things it should do absolutely right . Well done and thank you for a lovely stay .

Beautiful building and stunning grounds with lots of places inside and outside to sit and relax. Easy and cheerful check in. Escorted to our room with our luggage. Water, coffees,tea and toiletries are all available in room. Wonderful king-size bed and beautiful decor. Had a light lunch at Cultra Inn and then spent the afternoon in the small but beautiful spa. Swimming pool, sauna, steam and large Jacuzzi. Plenty of comfortable loungers to relax on. Beverages and light bites also available in the spa area. Dinner in Vespers, 3 courses from the Al a carte menu and the food and service were great. The most extensive wine list I have ever seen. Breakfast was also served in Vespers and was a plentiful continental plus self service full Irish buffet. Again, service was wonderful. Would definitely recommend and will certainly return.

Also there was a guy ( English accent wearing blue jacket ) in the lough bar sorry we didn’t get his name was very helpful & friendly also . The stay was a gift to my husband for his 50th birthday . Our suite was beautiful , amazing views , huge . Very comfortable bed . Bathroom was fab lovely deep bath and shower was so good . Espa toiletries provided also . Lovely hotel, on the outskirts of Belfast, just a handy taxi ride away. Very clean, comfortable and well run with good facilities. Very helpful and friendly staff, and everyones name is displayed. I was checked (and out) by Jobin who was very helpful and friendly. The name of the lady who cleaned my room was on a card in the room too, Beata, and the room was spotless. Breakfast was really good, again, super friendly and helpful staff, and it's all run very well and efficiently. Had dinner in the River Bar Lounge and Bistro, and was happy to see a vegan option as standard (vegan option on the lobby menu too). Really helpful features such as a taxi box on the reception desk, so you just press a button and are given a number and a taxi comes. Also there is a person stationed at a desk in the lobby to help with any queries and I could get a coffee brought out to relax in the lobby. There is a pool, gym etc here too, and it's only a mile to Queens parkrun, which was very handy. I heard no noise from my room in the night either, slept very well. Can't fault anything - would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.

I can’t fault this hotel first time at the crown plaza , On check in i was greeted by a lovely woman Sam she was helpful imformative welcoming and just lovely. Room was immaculate spacious and beds were so comfortable. I hate hotel breakfasts usually i find buffets are never really fresh and just greasy. 1 they have a great selection of all fresh food bread pastries meats yoghurts fresh pancakes and more 2 also a small menu of some different eggs cooked to order my omelette was so nice and the man who checked us in and brought my food was also kind and welcoming. E chargers available which was also great and. a fast charge option. Swimming pool was nice and on check out madelina was also so lovely. i havnt been to a hotel in a long time which the staff where all so welcoming and just felt nice . when coming back to belfast i will be rebooking this hotel. Even when i booked i had to email the hotel the communication then was even good. Hotel is modern and immaculate. Hot chocolate in the room was a huge hit with the children. Thank you

We stayed at the Crown Plaza Shaws Bridge for 6 nights My wife daughter and myself. The service from all the staff was excellent, check in was very easy and stress free, the rooms were big and spotlessly clean, tea coffee and hot chocolate supplied and refilled daily . Breakfast in the morning was great and the hot and cold buffet set you up for the day and of course the lovely welcome and service from Ann and the team made it even more enjoyable . We also had food in the bar which was great as well especially the Sunday Dinner and all the staff were very helpful and friendly while checking we were happy with food. Thanks also to Naomi in reception for her help when we had issues with the tv in our room. Summing up this hotel and staff are a credit to the IHG Group and showed great professionalism throughout our stay a big thank you to everbody.

I don't usually fill these out as I travel a lot with work however this was the perfect hotel for my week long work trip, there was a booking error mainly due to the portal I used to book it but Madalina dealt with this exceptionally even with me being agitated over the issues she made everything right and cleared up why this happened, nothing was too much trouble I really appreciate the level of service you gave, and I can't finish a review without mentioning Annie from the breakfast service every morning she was welcoming friendly attentive and couldn't do enough to help thank you for helping start each day off with a smile. The room was great tea and coffee facilities, comfortable bedding a hotel TV that worked with no issues fantastic WiFi enabling me to work from my room when needed. Thank you for any future visits this shall be my hotel or choice.

We had a wonderful stay at The Belmont House Hotel recently. We received a very warm welcome from the lovely receptionist which makes all the difference when you have travelled a distance in such bad weather. Our room was magnificent, above average in size and tastefully decorated. We overlooked the gardens to the front and side and yet it was very quiet. It was spotlessly clean. The en-suite was both modern & spacious. Despite the size, the room was very cosy & warm, we felt very comfortable in the large bed and slept well. We thoroughly enjoyed our Breakfast, again the staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was delicious & prepared with care. We can not recommend this Hotel highly enough! What a gem, nestled in the wonderful town of Banbridge! Great Shops & very friendly community. Put it on your list for a visit you won’t regret it! All the staff in the hotel were exceptional everyone was so helpful and polite throughout the stay. The food was amazing and there was a really good selection for both breakfast and dinner. The room we stayed in was very spacious with a very clean and comfortable bed. The linens were of good quality and the towels were of good quality also. The water pressure in the shower was lovely and the there was always hot water. The trees around the hotel and the green spaces are well manicured. The carpark is very spacious.

Really enjoyed our stay, food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. WiFi wasn't great however, slow to load, ended up switching off WiFi and used phone data. Room was very clean and spacious. Water pressure in the shower could have been better. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely Georgian House hotel in a private and quiet setting with all the modern features. The Georgian Decor is fabulous with a lovely quiet front room to relax in. The food is great and cooked fresh. Room had original cornice and decor and was very comfortable with modern ensuite. This hotel is within walking distance of the town centre. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. This was my first visit and having spent 2 nights I am looking forward to returning again later this year.

Where to start... Well suffice to say this was the best B&B I have ever stayed in! The whole place was sumptuously decorated and cosy. The room was immaculate with everything we needed and more, I loved the little dressing room in our Binnian Suite. Amazing hosts who were attentive and considerate of our privacy and wonderfully friendly and interesting to chat with. Breakfast was perfect and the breakfast room has breathtaking views. Do not hesitate to use the hot tub, it is on a balcony overlooking the Mournes and the sea, we will be using it next time we go! We went for a walk round the country lanes at night and the stars were so bright due to the absence of any city glow. Fiona the host offered us high viz vests we could have worn...honestly you guys thought of everything. Just the best place to stay and we will definitely be back!

Sam is a wonderful host! Friendly, helpful and welcoming. The location is beautiful, in the middle of fields with great view to the mountains and the area. Breakfast is absolutely exceptional! Rich, frash, tasty and local (even the eggs are from his friend's farm!) Our room was very clean and comfortable. The B&B is designed beautifully, with a thought about every detail. It made us feel like home. We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone coming to Northern Ireland.

Our hosts were delightful. We were late and flustered and Sam was considerate and helpful. Our accommodation was superb. Spacious and a gorgeously comfortable bed enabled a great sleep! Sam cooked us a delicious big breakfast the next morning, as we sat enjoying a coffee in the guest dining area. The views were stunning. The host was very welcoming and the hardworking staff was really helpful and friendly during our stay. One of the rooms was located on the first floor while the other one in another building down the road. Both rooms were very spacious and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The street Parking was free just a few minutes by walk from the property. The Breakfast was great (given different options from a menu you can choose from a traditional Irish breakfast to a lighter one with just yogurt or buttered toast with jam). The restaurant serve delicious food and we had an amazing experience for dinner too.

This was our second time booking a room at Denvir's, and once again, they did not disappoint. In fact, they exceeded our expectations by far. We were given an entire apartment for the weekend, which was amazing. It even had a toaster, which came in handy for my son, who is autistic and has specific dietary preferences. Since the hotel didn't have Nutella, we were able to buy a jar, use the toaster to prepare the bread we brought from home, and ensure he had a breakfast he was comfortable with. The next morning, we were touched by the kindness of a staff member who had gone out of their way to buy Nutella for my son and provide it at breakfast. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us! The apartment was spacious, giving us all privacy and a bed each. It also had a cozy sitting room and a big TV, which made watching the Toy Show even more enjoyable. Thank you for another fantastic stay—your attention to detail and kindness made it truly memorable!

Staff so helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble, warm and welcoming after a long day and it was late by the time I got there. Room was quaint but modern, charming and warm like the whole establishment. Everything available for your convenience. Room was quiet with traditional features. Lovely facilities, bathroom was excellent. Room was large and light. breakfast was delicious and they had fancy smokey mushrooms on the full irish which were devine. Staff so kind and patient with my son from start to finish. Such an easy going welcoming place they obviously work hard to keep it so good but the effort doesn't show as they have the professional ease about them.

We stayed in the Saul suite in the Mews around the corner from the main building. We had two bedrooms which was great. Spacious and clean. Good bath and shower. Quiet at night. The bar and restaurant are good with helpful, friendly staff. Parking just up the hill towards the Cathedral is free.

Our first time here with an overnight stay and what a find we would l like to return. Excellent property and hosts and we felt at home with in such beautiful surroundings. Gareth does a brilliant job as host front of house with Emma working away in the kitchen. Emma made some beautiful muffins for guests at breakfast to have. It's top quality breakfast I had the porridge with local honey and topped with banana, strawberries and blueberries, all top quality. Wife had the scrambled egg with grilled tomatoes and toast. I was so impressed with the honey that we were able to buy a jar and infact had it on our porridge at home this morning. No expense has been spared on the furnishings. In the bedroom we had tea and coffee and biscuits left for us. Things like organic coffee sachets in the bedroom, not just standard coffee. Even at breakfast we had fancy tea pots. Property was perfect. It couldn't have been any cleaner, was quiet and the views from around the property are stunning on the elevated site. I think it's probably the best b and b we've stayed in. When we return we shall have the full Irish with locally sourced ingredients. Well done Gareth and Emma. If your in the area and looking for a b and b you'll be disappointed if you overlook this o e. What a beauty.

Location was perfect off the main track but located within easy reach of facilities. Clean & comfortable, magnificent views The bedrooms where light and airy , tea & coffee making facilities, hair dryer & the bed was very comfortable.Excellent friendly hosts, helpfull with suggestions of places to visit and eat. Breakfast was well cooked, lots of variety and fresh local foods.

Super friendly with professional, welcoming service. The room was comfortable, spotless and well equipped. The host was friendly and made us feel at ease to ask for anything. The breakfast offerings were wide and we thoroughly enjoyed ours each morning. The neighbourhood is quiet and the views spectacular.

This was our last night on a motorcycle trip around Ireland. We received a really warm welcome. The property is lovely and well looked after. The bed was comfortable, en suite spotless with plenty of hot water and a decent shower. We had access to a living room to relax should we have wanted to. Excellent suggestion given for a restaurant for dinner. Property in a quiet area. Breakfast was also excellent. Couldn't fault this place and will be back at some point.

The location of the guesthouse is very central to the Marina and main streets/ restaurants and bars in the town, all within walking distance. The guesthouse and rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious providing good value for money. Highly recommended stay at Shelleven Guesthouse!

The breakfast was plentiful, varied, hot and tasty. Excellent it took me through the day to my evening meal. The owners and staff couldn’t have been more accommodating or helpful. Rooms were clean and seen to every day with tea,coffee, biscuits replenished daily. Bed was extremely comfortable. Will definitely be visiting again - such a friendly place and so close to the marina and train station.

Perfect location, short stroll to town centre and the coastal path. Lots of free parking spaces. Breakfast was very good quality and plentiful. Hosts and breakfast staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable bed. Free bottles of drinking water in the room.

I loved how attentive and friendly the staff were, I was cold and asked if the heating could be put back on, not only was my need met but an electric heater was placed and turned on outside my door, incredibly sweet, kind and thoughtful, this is why I cant wait to go back, the owners are incredible. Just to add, the room was perfectly beautiful with stunning sea views, beautiful decor, plenty of teas, coffee etc, the tv had netflix, the bedding was extremely luxurious and comfortable, I cant fault this stunning place, Thank you for having me x

Paul and Sue, absolute gems. Made our hectic week come to a halt as soon as we stepped in. Facilities were honestly perfect (bathroom mirror with built in bluetooth made me go back to the younger me getting ready with music on) The bed was so comfortable we fell asleep as soon as we came back and stayed asleep for the whole night! Nice, cosy and welcoming is the best words I can use to describe the place. But let’s not forget about the view, proper breathtaking sea view.

Myself and 8 year old stayed here for one night. Communication with the hosts was fantastic, we got a lovely message earlier in the day telling us our room was ready and they were looking forward to welcoming us and we confirmed our ETA. On arrival our hosts were very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome and offered a choice of 2 rooms, one with a double bed and ensuite or 2 beds and private bathroom. We opted for the 2 beds and private bathroom. Our room was clean and the beds and bedding very comfortable. Tea, coffee, biscuits, kettle, water etc all in room. The view was fantastic, mountains out to the left and Carlingford Lough to the right. Location perfect with the beach just across the road and Kilbroney Park was a few minutes down the road. We enjoyed the Narnia Trail, the forest drive and walks at Kilbroney as well as beach combing that evening and first thing in the morning. There was a driveway with space for 2 cars and parking along the road outside. We parked on the road outside with no issues. We had room only and didn't opt for breakfast but it did smell lovely. Really enjoyed our stay, thank you.

A very friendly and helpful Pasqualina dealt with me on my arrival and made me feel very welcome. Everything was explained regarding the use of the facilities and the breakfast routine. Stefano was in charge on the following morning and provided a most welcome and filling breakfast. He was courteous, cheerful and friendly making sure that everything was provided and even gave me a fresh scone, knowing that my onward journey was taking me to Co Kerry with the intention of climbing Carrauntoohil the following dau - I did, thanks to the scone! The bungalow, although situated near to the A2, was quiet and peaceful and the views from my room were excellent. A very, very good B&B and if I am in the area again I would certainly look to booking a room there again.

A very cozy and beautiful house, the host greeted us warmly, kindly showed us everything in the apartment, the view from the wine was directly on the sea, the beds and the room itself were very comfortable, we liked everything. In the morning, the hosts fed us a delicious breakfast, also allowed us to have dinner in the kitchen with their own food and advised us to go to the mountain the next day, there is a nature reserve nearby with beautiful views, which we did and were very satisfied with the accommodation and the hosts. We will definitely come to you again! Our son really liked your trampoline) Thank you! ;)

The room was very clean, well equipped and nicely warm.The bed was good and the bathroom had enough space. We could use the spacious and comfortable general room, next to our room. There is even an outside space that we didn’t use because of the weather but this could be very nice in summer. The owner and her daughter welcomed us warmly and were very kind and helpful during our stay. The breakfast that can be ordered was very good. The location is very well situated in a quiet street in east Belfast. The train and bus connections are quite near the property, they can bring you quickly and easy to the city Centre Centre, the central Railway station, the George Best city airportthe, Titanic quarter or the other places you want to visit. The distances in Belfast are not very long, from the location to the city Centre is 30 minutes on foot, to the Titanic museum it is about 20 minutes.

Very clean and accommodating facilities. Not near much of interest but we were only in Belfast on our way to Giant's Causeway. We walked to dinner but it was an unpleasant walk near the highway to a restaurant in a mall. The beds and bathroom were very clean and I had a good night sleep.

We had an amazing stay. The hotel was clean and the staff was exceptional. The room was very comfortable and well stocked. We really appreciated the extra amenities like the kitchen, laundry, and in-room tea service.

Beautiful, modern room with the added touch of a table and 2 chairs. Bed was super comfy and bedding clean. Share living room and kitchen on main floor were welcoming. Would highly recommend this accommodation to others.

Stunning B&B. The host was friendly, very welcoming, and helpful. The bedroom is well decorated, very clean and very very comfortable bed. The ensuite had everything you need with a great power shower. The breakfast was absolutely delicious from french pastry, fruit salad, cereal, yoghurt... and amazing irish breakfast.

Valerie and Ken were just amazing! We couldn't ask for better hosts! The setup here is awesome. They have 4 rooms all closely located which would make for a great family getaway, no matter what size family. Te location is off the beaten path, which is exactly what we were looking for. We went to Castle Ward, Inch Abbey and Tollymore Forest Park during our stay and it was perfectly central. A nice, spacious, clean bathroom with a great shower was also a real treat. We woke up late for breakfast (thanks apple watch update) and Ken cooked us breakfast. Everything was perfect, even my wife's eggs, which she is very particular about! Parking was plentiful and easy as well. We will stay here again next time we are in the area!

Stunning location in the countryside and very quiet and peaceful. Valerie and Kenny were excellent hosts and really care for their guests. Straight away on arrival the cup of tea was made ready which is brilliant after a long journey. The breakfast each morning was done to perfection and was a great start to the day. We even had a special surprise of homemade banana bread, which was excellent. Both Valerie and Kenny were able to offer advice on places to visit and how to get there the easy way. A great couple for a chat which is always a nice way to get to know people. A great night's sleep awaits guests as the place is so quiet, no traffic noise and really comfy beds. Every evening after coming back from a day out the kettle was made ready for the cup or tea or coffee and some nice treats to go along with it. Drum Manor is a real hidden gem in the County Down countryside and still only a short distance to Belfast. Valerie and Kenny should be really proud of what they have achieved with their Bed & Breakfast. Thanks for a great stay and will definitely return when back in the area.

Valerie and her husband were exceptional hosts. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. This place exceeded our expectations. Valerie cooked us an amazing breakfast, and on a morning that we were leaving early to go see the sites of Northern Ireland, she packed us breakfast and left it by the door for us to take. Her home was clean and cozy, as well as was our room and bathroom which had everything you may need. The home was perfectly located close to Belfast and Hillsborough and was very quiet.

Far better than many hotels in terms of cleanliness, comfort, breakfast and views. Our room was warm and big enough for two people. Toiletries, bathrobes, a hair dryer, slippers and towels were at our disposal. Delicious breakfast was made at times that suited us. Each evening we were asked what we would prefer for breakfast. On the morning we were leaving Valerie had no problem serving breakfast earlier than she normally does. She also gave us advice on what to visit in the area. Location is great if you have a car (which we had), otherwise you have to organise a taxi (phone numbers provided by hosts). Thank you, Valerie and Ken!

We recently stayed at this hotel whilst attending a funeral in Newtownards. All arrangements were initially made over the phone with Madeline who was extremely helpful with our requests. We also arranged for a wake to be held in the hotel after the funeral and again everything was handled with professionalism. On our arrival our rooms were upgraded and they were spacious, warm, very clean and quiet and the bed was super comfy. Hot water was plentiful and not an issue. We dined twice in the hotel restaurant and found the food to be of a high standard with a great choice on the menu and great portion sizes. At the wake after the funeral we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, they did everything to make a very difficult time as stress free as possible. The food we had ordered was of very good quality and plenty to feed the number of people attending. Breakfast was also very good. The only criticism I could make was that there could possibly be more choice eg beans or black pudding. Staff were superb. Darren, who arranged an early morning cab for us, looked after us extremely well in the restaurant/bar. Luigi was wonderful during the wake, along with a couple of girls whose names I unfortunately did not get. In fact all staff we came into contact with were a credit to the hotel. We will definitely be staying here the next time we visit.

Staff were so friendly and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Got a room upgrade which was a lovely surprise. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Basic breakfast buffet but this was supplemented with delicious freshly cooked breakfast of choice. Had an early check-out (6am) but was kindly offered coffee/bacon rolls although breakfast didn't open until 7am - this was above & beyond expectation. Room was very comfortable and quiet - with all amenities I needed. Lots of car parking.

Myself and my husband and family group stayed for a few nights, we stayed here before and the staff are very friendly, our rooms clean warm comfortable, the waiters in Le Winter are so professional and friendly, and the food was great. We ate for two nights here a group of four , the haddock was delicious fresh really tasty. Also the night porter was so helpful. And Paul O’Brien “Paolo” in Management in the restaurant looked after us all so well over our stay, well we met him as Paul and had him renamed Paolo on checkout as we gave him some good Italian lessons and his Italian was getting better on our departure. Great stay all round.

Convenient location for Belfast waterfront only 20 mins with a car. Hotel is a modern town variety with practical sized rooms. Hotel was clean and towels fresh. Service staff were fantastic and accommodating for any extra stuff like soap, loo roll etc. Checklist system of ordering breakfast in evening is unusual but worked well leading to less waste from more buffet style offerings and checklist for extra towels and room items is also a good eco way of less waste. Enjoyed our stay as room and hotel was quiet and comfortable during our stay. One or two items maybe would also help, firstly car park debris on ground such as plastic bottles, a nappy! And other rubbish being cleared on a regular basis would help overall look as hotel is great and this area lets it down. Bath screen seal on our shower didn’t work so water ended up on floor and tv isn’t the largest (a minor quibble as didnt spend much time in hotel). Anyway an honest opinion on a nice stay for a few days, staff at desk were very accommodating and there if needed for any help without imposing themselves upon you. Breakfast was actually quite good but a few more options such as tomatoes, beans, hash browns perhaps! Again minor quibble on an excellent value for money hotel stay.

Great hotel, staff are amazing, so helpful and accommodating. Room was spotless, great size, bed was so comfy. Highly recommend for a date night get away, restaurant and bar is fabulous. Breakfast was lovely, fresh produce, good selection of fruit, toast, cereals and yogurts. Aswell as a cooked breakfast. The young lady on reception was absolutely brilliant, nothing was too much for her. Will definitely be back soon.
