This hotel was so nice for being beside a main carriageway. The staff, the room where exceptional especially when the room has its own double jacuzzi and the facilties where great to make use off too. The food in the restaurant was amazing as well with great service from the staff.

The rooms were lovely, very comfortable, very quiet, the bathroom was lovely Also really enjoyed the swimming pool, was a bit disappointed that there was no indoor jacuzzi, only a outdoor one that was very expensive to go in . The staff were very friendly.

This has been our fifth time and we love it. Friendly staff, good food and just lovely place to relax. The facilities are great you have the pool, steam room and the sauna to choose from. I do recommend using the outside jacuzzi

I travelled with my daughter for two nights stay and we arrived early which was no problem. The receptionist was very welcoming and checked us in right away. We were told everything we needed to know from where the restaurant was to the times breakfast and dinner where served. We had full access to the pool, sauna, and steam room which were a really nice treat. Our room was a great size and it had robes and slippers included which made it feel more special. We ate dinner in the restaurant both nights of our stay. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was so delicious. There was also entertainment in the bar area on the Saturday night to enjoy a few drinks at. Breakfast in the mornings was also really delicious and again the staff were really nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a nice quiet get-away. I would also definitely like to return.

We had a lovely time. Our bedroom was really spacious with a really comfortable bed. The shower room again was very spacious, clean and modern. The food was delicious at breakfast and dinner with a good choice. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. I loved the pool and spa.

Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful surroundings. Comfortable, warm roomy accommodation. Everything we needed and more for our romantic getaway. Hosts were attentive without being intrusive. Use of the jacuzzi whenever we wanted. Fire pit was also a lovely experience.

Beautifully kept Lodges, comfortable bed, heating was wonderful during a cold halloween night! Albert greeted us and showed us around, he had lit the hottub for our arrival and offered to light the fire pit also. Best lodge experience yet!! Will be back for sure!

We LOVED this hotel!!! We were running about an hour ahead of schedule but when we showed up our room was actually ready! The two young ladies at the front desk were phenomenal... so friendly and helpful! We pre-arranged for valet parking which was so convenient, and enabled us to further enjoy our stay in Derry. All the sites we wanted to see were within walking distance. When we were done for the day, we went back to the hotel to relax and then ate dinner in the front bar area. We both got the steak dinner which was delicious, and the bramble drink was amazing! The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious... we were able to order our own breakfast meal from the menu! This is one of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip to Ireland, and we would definitely stay there again, as well as recommend it to others. Thanks to all the staff at The Bishop's Gate!

This hotel is amazing. Our room was amazing. Food was amazing. Service was amazing. The staff were amazing. This is one of the best hotel experiences I've had in many years. We stayed for three nights, bed & breakast. On the second night, I hosted a very special dinner for friends in a private room. The food, the service and the atmos was all perfect. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, within the actual city walls. Everything in this beautiful historic city is within walking distance. There are loads of great bars to go to but the hotel bar is great too - they've got a very tempting cocktail list. If you are staying in Derry, stay at Bishops Gate Hotel. You won't regret it. It's ... amazing!

Such a welcoming place - we were warmly welcomed when we arrived. The staff held our bags as our room was not yet ready, and invited us to relax in the bar/restaurant while they completed the room preparation. They came to get us once our room was ready and the bags had already been delivered to our room. The front desk staff provided some recommendations and tips for seeing the city. The room itself was very large - comfortable bed and small sitting area. There didn't seem to be air conditioning, but it was not an issue at all. Even in mid July, the weather was cool and we were able to open the windows - this coming from a couple who keeps our AC at 65F during the summer and we were plenty cool! The breakfast was included in our room rate and was delicious. A small cold buffet with a nice menu of hot items prepared to order. We had oatmeal (porridge) and eggs. While we ate breakfast, the staff pulled up our car and loaded our bags and gave us a warm farewell. The location of the hotel was great - near the city walls and very walkable to all the major sites. Would absolutely return and recommend to anyone visiting Derry.

What a wonderful hotel! After driving from Belfast up to Derry, the reception I received when I walked in the door was outstanding. Niamh was friendly, informative, and went out of her way to give me great idea, ideas and directions on where to go during my visit. My room was spotless and the pillows were perfect. There was no air-conditioning and for certain women after a certain age, that could be a bad thing. Thank God they had a fan! They also have a wonderful laundry service which brought back my clothes, spotless and folded, and it was so easy to do. Breakfast was amazing and delicious and hot both mornings. The staff in the dining room were so nice and kind, and when I was talking to them about my interest in history, they took me to part in the restaurant and showed me the well that has been there, which was amazing to see. Make sure you ask about it when you go. When I checked out, it was very easy and simple, and Patrick brought me my car very quickly. What an absolute joy to stay at this hotel. I can’t wait to come back again!

I am writing this review a bit later than planned, but we had another wonderful stay at the superb hotel over the jazz festival Comfortable clean rooms, fantastic central location with a great motivated team Check in is professional, friendly & welcoming Great restaurant with local produce & Breakfast is perfect We used the valet parking & Kaysi noticed that we had a slow puncture, she was absolutely fantastic at helping us to sort this, she went the extra mile when we tried to inflate it ourselves & when this failed she recommended a local garage that was open on the bank holiday which was able to get us sorted ( at a very reasonable price ) Thank you ! Great Hotel & team

Loved every minute of our stay. Was greeted on arrival by a lovely member of staff and showed us to our room. Room was spotlessly clean. Bed was comfortable and lovely view from our room. Ate dinner in the restaurant. Food was really nice and once again the staff were extremely friendly. Had breakfast in the morning and no surprise was full irish was amazing and very friendly staff. There was continental option available. Cannot fault our stay was faultless and we enjoyed it so much so we booked another stay. Excellent value for money, staff very friendly and helpful, food was delicious and room was spotless. Would definitely recommend.. Not forgetting a 5 min walk away from a beautiful sandy beach.

We stayed for two nights to explore Inishowen. Check in was quick and the receptionist very friendly and welcoming. The room was a little dated but spotlessly clean and very spacious with a comfy bed and sea views. The hotel is located opposite a beautful sandy beach that extends for miles, the weather was lovely so that was a real bonus. Breakfast is very good and again lovely, friendly staff. It is located a good 20 walk into Buncrana where there's plenty of pubs and restaurants. There's a good tourist office about halfway between the hotel and the town - it's worth calling in to get a guide of the area. Overall excellent value for money, faultlessly clean, lovely staff, comfy bed and decent breakfast - highly recommended !

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room spacious bright and clean. We also had a sea view which was lovely. The bed was very comfortable. We had a delicious steak meal in the restaurant and a lovely breakfast.

Lovely large clean comfortable room with a good sized bathroom. Breakfasts were excellent, a wide selection available and served by friendly staff. There was a reasonable menu in the restaurant to choose from but we felt the restaurant lacked atmosphere. We thought each course was served too quickly without chance to savour each one. Our other complaint is the number of televisions located around the restaurant. Why are so many required in a restaurant setting. The bar area is small so unable to enjoy a pre or post dinner drink comfortably.

Exceeded our expectations in every way! Huge spacious family room, very comfortable beds with soft duvets and a variety of pillows. Excellent friendly and welcoming customer service. Great varied menu in the restaurant and nice atmosphere in bar/restaurant. Highly recommend! Walking distance to beach!

This place is the quintessential B&B, period. A beautifully restored home in Derry. Good location near the city center. Beautiful wallpaper on every surface, including the ceilings! Clean, clean, clean! Very comfortable bed-slept like a baby. Staff incredibly welcoming and friendly. Cozy dining room with a gas fire. Great breakfast- even offered pancakes! Stay here if visiting Derry.

Had a great stay at Rose Park. The hosts were incredibly friendly and informative. As Derry natives they knew all about its history and were fantastic to talk with. Breakfast was lovely, hot and on time every morning. The accommodation was cosy, warm and safe. The room was really clean, comfortable and modern. Piping hot shower too! It was also well situated for access to Magee University (only 10 minute walk).

I rarely give a 10 rating, but everything about our stay at Rose Park exceeded expectations. The host was friendly and super helpful, the property immaculate and our room cosy and comfortable. There's safe on-street parking nearby and it's an easy fifteen-minute walk through a park to the city centre. Breakfast was home-cooked, hearty and delicious. The whole experience felt very personal and authentic, without being intrusive. A glimpse into Irish life. Loved it.

Thomas and his family were so incredibly welcoming to us when we stayed for a long weekend. Thomas local and historical knowledge was so interesting and we ended up talking over breakfast everyday, hearing his first hand account of the 'troubles' and life in Derry past and present. It's not often that you meet someone who is so engaging and open. Rosepark it's self is perfect, an easy 15 mins taxi from the airport and 10 mins walk into the centre through the park opposite. The bed was super comfy and we slept like a dream. We will definitely be recommending it to our family and friends and will be back for a return visit for sure. We went on the Bogside history walking tour on Thomas's recommendation and weren't disappointed. The owner/organiser of the tours, Paul ,even took us for a coffee as he couldn't do the tour time we had aimed for, giving us an extra 1 on 1 backdrop to the city and history beforehand. The walking tour was emotive and honest and very informative, and also easy (for those worried about the hills it avoids them all) We ate a great thai/Vietnamese restaurant called Mekong, the food was incredible! Defo worth a visit

Excellent location - close to my work location for the next morning! The premises were lovely, clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and the breakfast had a great choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, and a cooked breakfast. My room was 'hotel quality' complete with wall-mounted television, tea/coffee, and a safe. The bed was very comfortable. I would certainly recommend this guesthouse.

Great location! Picturesque view. Lovely and quiet. As pictured in the listing, the property is a bit outdated in decor, however, the rooms are comfortable, well equipped and spacious. 5mins to Derry by car. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast. Helpful hints for the area provided.

The location was very convenient, quiet spot just outside the city center. The hosts were just amazing, so welcoming & friendly. We also used the Sauna outside which was a lovely touch. Margaret made us breakfast of our choice the next morning which was delicious!

Lovely location out in the country, quiet and peaceful! Loved the little touches like biscuits and coffee in our room with the kettle, the wonderful greeting on arrival by Stuart & recommendation for dinner (Cosh bar was so good we went back again!), and of course the fabulous fry-up for brekkie made by Margaret & John (potato fry bread & rashers were my fav!). Hosts were so wonderful, on our whole trip this was our favourite stay! Everything was considered - beds were perfectly firm & comfortable, and so huge we had to roll around a few times to cuddle! Due to their centralized heating everything was warm, towel racks toasty, and pillows dreamy soft. Water pressure was good and water temp was warm too. Will be delighted to stay here again next time we’re in Derry :) Also the option to use the outdoor sauna/hot tub was a cool one!

Lovely hosts, very inviting. Our stay was perfect. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable, we wanted for nothing. The breakfast catered for everyone and the cooked breakfast was was first class. The location was stunning. One of the best bed and breakfast we have stayed in. Will definitely go back! To single one person or element out as outstanding would be unfair as my stay as a whole was thoroughly fabulous. Every staff member I interacted with from Bar, Restaurant, Reception, Night Porter, every single one was kind, welcoming, helpful and while remaining professional and courteous the staff are obviously encouraged to remain "human" and so friendly on a personal basis. The personal touch toward the guest is very much appreciated in the form of a welcoming glass of fizz at Reception on check-in, the personalised welcome note and sweets in the bedroom upon arrival. Little touches like these, at little cost, helped to perfectly off round the experience as a whole. Breakfast was simply amazing, an ample choice of made to order options and predictably for me I chose the Walled City Fry-up which was fresh, tasty and of course locally sourced. In addition, your efforts to reduce single-use plastics in the form of choosing not to offer little plastic containers of milk is very much to your credit. This is a small but very important gesture. All things considered, I can say you deserve nothing less than 10/10 which I am happy to give.

1) Parking - We were fortunate to get parked on the street outside. The hotel does advise of other options. Reception advised us of how to avoid parking fines when parking on-street. 2) Staff - Friendly and helpful throughout. 3) Facilities - Room and bathroom were spacious, comfortable, and clean. Shower, with over-head shower head, was particularly enjoyable. 4) Food and drink - We had dinner in the hotel, which was fantastic - one of, if not the best meals we had in our 10-11 day stay in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Breakfast next morning was also very good. The hotel also accommodated a change in our dinner reservation at short notice.

Wonderful 4 night stay in February. This was my 2nd time at the hotel. What makes the Shipquay really stand out is its staff - reception, housekeeping, and restaurant. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, and they truly make you feel like a valued guest. Hotel location is perfect, right in the city center, next to shopping, sites, restaurants, and bars. Room was perfect too, great layout, amenities, and a nice view of the river. Also enjoyed a tasty meal in the hotel’s restaurant. Will definitely stay again!

Shipquay Boutique Hotel is a gem situated in the heart of Derry city. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and include a top notch shower and toiletries. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the restaurant and an excellent late night Margarita cocktail in the bar. Breakfast was first class and cooked to order, with the added surprise of a Mimosa cocktail. The staff are exceptional and could not have been kinder when the concert we had booked was cancelled at the last minute. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay here again.

We loved the central location, which was also very peaceful ensuring a great sleep. The staff are incredibly helpful and very welcoming and kind. Our room was comfortable, with a luxurious king size bed, lovely bathrobes, slippers and fluffy towels. We enjoyed a great pre-theatre dinner and excellent breakfast cooked to order. Shipquay Hotel is a great choice for travellers who want a central location with first class service. Highly recommended.

Amazing little hotel in a very quite spot, but still very close to city centre. Comfy rooms, with nice selection of coffee, tea ( they had Barrys!:) and hot chocolate, also bottles of water, which was a really nice touch. Staff was nothing short of fantastic, very attentive and helpful. Food in the restaurant on site was very nice (we had dinner) and breakfast in the morning had a great selection. Will 100 percent stay again when in Derry next.

Everything. Friendly staff. My room was spotless, warm, the bed was very comfortable. The shower was lovely and had a good strong flow to it. The bar and restaurant was pleasant, cosy and clean. Finally it was great value for money, and I would recommend it to anyone.

We had a great stay at The Belfray Inn. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was warm and cosy, clean, and well presented. Tea, coffee, and hot chocolate were available in the room. The location was great and quiet at night, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay.

As a coeliac, the hotel manager went above and beyond to ensure I ate safely. He was friendly and very professional. The breakfast was vast, plentiful and beautiful. It was peaceful and relaxing. The hotel is very clean, staff are experienced, friendly and can’t do enough for you. My room was cleaned to a high standard & smelled clean. It was warm and very comfortable.

Thoroughly impressed with the exceptional staff. The bar staff were outstanding, providing excellent service. On Christmas morning, the breakfast was great with plenty of seating, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere by the very friendly team. The rooms were spotless, and the team was very responsive when I encountered an issue with the safe. We also appreciated how the staff made a point to say hello when passing. Highly recommend this hotel. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Derry (from the city originally) and would recommend this over the others.

Everything about the everglades is perfect, from the minute you enter to the time you leave you are looked after, with kindness, care, professionalism, the reception staff are friendly and warm, nothing is too much bother to organise. The beds are the most comfortable ever, like sleeping on a cloud. The location is 10 minutes to city centre with taxis costing around £6. The breakfast has everything you could ask for. The bar staff are attentive with a good sense of humour and knowledge of cocktails.

Absolute fantastic hotel, beautiful decor, amazing bedrooms with the comfiest of beds. The entire hotel is relaxing and welcoming with great food and drink. The hotel was fantastic and although it is a little way out of town, we loved the location. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was extensive and delicious (we loved the touch of whisky for the porridge).

The included breakfast was fantastic and the dining room is so cozy. Full Irish breakfast cooked to order, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, potato bread, white/black pudding, coffee, tea, juices, and a whole continental breakfast bar. Room was immaculately clean, I even wiped the floor with a wet cloth to clean a small spill and the cloth came up completely clean. Shower was hot with great water pressure and room has everything you need; shampoo, hand wash, hair dryer, tea, towels.

Staff were amazing and very helpful. We stayed with our two kids and had a very comfortable stay.Close enough to walk into town takes about 10/15 mins and the iona pub next door was great to have a drink and great atmosphere, all bar staff and locals were so friendly and welcoming. There is also another pub just up the road called the Ritz bar, Tonya the owner of the b&b recommended to us and it had really nice food and reasonable prices. There is also a shop and domino's just across the road. Full irish breakfast along with cereals and pancakes in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again.

Our stay at the Iona Inn in Derry was fantastic! The warm, friendly staff made us feel like part of the family from the moment we arrived. The Inn is run by a lovely sister, with her brother managing the Iona Pub next door, which added a special, personal touch to the experience. The breakfast was delicious, and the convenience of having a cozy, local pub right next door was a highlight. If you're looking for a welcoming, family-run place with great hospitality and a local vibe, Iona Inn is the perfect choice!

Holiday Express hotels are designed for short stays - usually for those who just want a place to sleep for one or two nights, shower and get a quick breakfast before heading for work. The Derry-Londonderry hotel is similar to other HI Express hotels in which I have stayed over the years, clean, comfortable with all the essentials, though don't expect friperies. The bed was very comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is limited with a few cereals, a few (processed) juices, a number of hot foods and one of those machines that makes every type of drink just about adequately. OK, but you are not going to linger. The lounge and breakfast areas are pretty rudimentary in design and layout, but again adequate for purpose. The location is good and reasonably quiet. The bottom line is would I be happy to stay here again if I were back in town and the answer is yes.

Stayed here with 3 friends for a girly weekend and couldn't have been more delighted with everything. Clean, well equipped rooms. Great shower and very comfortable beds. Very good buffet breakfast which was regularly replenished. Everyone was extremely friendly but a special mention to the front desk staff who went over and above when one of our group had a dental emergency. They were extremely helpful, securing a Saturday morning appointment with a nearby dentist. Good location with very reasonable parking across the street. I would definitely stay again.

This is our second time in Derry staying in this hotel, we really enjoyed it before and this time too. Lovely hotel, clean, modern, great breakfast, comfortable room with King sized bed. Alan at reception was so helpful, when we told him there was some noise from the central heating he put a heater in our room when we were out, it made a big difference, also when we had a short circuit he came up at once and fixed it, he was so thoughtful and nice, a great bonus for the hotel.

Room was very comfortable a bit cold during the night.Had a dinner in the bar was beautiful. Decided to stay for a few drinks in the bar order cocktails and the very junior bar maid gave me a cocktail without the side order when I query the cocktail was told this was the way it came which is utter rubbish having had this cocktail in many other places. If we stay again which I doubt we will be going out of bar area for drinks as I feel bar staff were all very junior on this visit

the staff are so friendly, polite and helpful. The view where the hotel is, is just amazing. Great selection of breakfast which was buffet style but was so fresh and good quality and tasty. The hotel is extremely clean. The staff went above and beyond for us. Highly recommend the bar food also.

The receptionist, Rachel, was a breath of fresh air, pleasant, friendly, helpful - I couldn't fault the restaurant staff and the food was delicious. The room was clean, warm, and very comfortable. Parking was convenient and plentiful.

The hotel is less than 10 mins drive from the city centre, getting in and out of the city was very convenient. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent and the staff were professional, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and (mostly) comfortable.

Everything, it was beautiful. It was decorated for Christmas very festival from the moment you walked in the door. Marty was amazing in the pub! Elaine , our server for breakfast was fabulous and friendly! The young man at the front desk was very helpful for anything we needed and any questions we needed answered. I felt like it was definitely a four star experience. Breakfast was very good! Dinner was absolutely delicious. Cheers to the chef from Monday night. I would definitely stay here again. I wish I would’ve stayed two nights instead of one.

We were here for our wedding and stayed 2 nights as well. Leading up to the wedding and our stay in the hotel we dealt with Chiree and she was wonderful. We couldn't of asked for more she was so friendly and helpful every step of the way. On the day all the staff were great and attentive and the food was amazing. Our suite was very clean and comfortable. We had breakfast in the room 1 morning and it was so easy to order and very fast in coming up to us and was delicious. Went to the dining room for breakfast as well and the staff there were lovely and helpful and again the food was lovely. The morning we checked out the receptionist helped us to the car with our things - another sign of how helpful and wonderful all the staff are in the Maldron.

This hotel has city walls!! , so you have the chance and I highly recommended, to walk the top of the walls and enjoy the view!! It is Centered, walkable, pretty, comfortable rooms and bed, friendly staff, the bar tender Nico!, was super friendly and gave us recommendations and also Shannon from the reception and the restaurant staff super nice (breakfast!). Complete breakfast, very good!! Our room was very nice, comfy, big bed, spacious bathroom, and the hotel has it’s own PARKING!!!!!! Of course not many spaces but if you get there enough time before check in your probability to get a space is high. If not, there is another parking close to the hotel! Check in was easy. Very close to shops, mall, rest, plaza, and pubs!!! Its a very nice town to walk and enjoy!!

This hotel is in a superb location right by the Derry Walls. Everything I wanted to do was easily accessible. The street map given to me on my arrival was very helpful. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, and quiet. The breakfasts were excellent: a good choice of cooked sausage, egg, etc and cereals, yoghurts, fruit compote, baked goods, coffee, tea, etc. I can recommend the soda bread. My room was quite spacious, the TV worked (!). Last but not least, every member of the staff I met was friendly and helpful, whether on receptiuon, at breakfast, or cleaning the rooms. The Grain and Grill restaurant has a great menu and I had two evening meals there.

Ryan checked us in and helped us on many occasion. He was fantastic and very helpful. We had a good meal in the restaurant. Personally one of the best Caesar dressing I have ever had. The staff in the bar were lovely. We asked for a later check out because my mom wasn’t feeling well and they accommodated us no problem. The rooms need some TLC and the carpets in the hallway need a really good clean. Our bathroom was not that clean. Perhaps the showers and sink were clean but the floor and surrounding areas was in dire need of a really good deep clean. Compared to other Maldron we stayed at, this was by far not that clean and tidy. Hate to tell you this but it’s true. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was fantastic. Cleanliness is important on my list so I’m not sure if I would stay in this hotel again.

This was my second very pleasant stay here, the first was as a family of five in one of their big family rooms on an October half term break. This time I stayed in the Maldron on a Friday night in February with my daughter to see the ballet in the Millennium forum as part of her Christmas gift. We had taken advantage of a great wowcher deal which included a main course meal and a bottle of wine and breakfast. We had a really lovely stay. First off the receptionist, who I think may have been called Kadie (sorry can't quite remember) was lovely and had tried ringing me to check we were OK as we were a little later arriving than we had anticipated. She then had organised a better room that had become available, overlooking the walls - and it was spotless, large, comfortable and so quiet. Our evening meal was beautifully cooked, I had the steak special and it was one of the nicest tasting steaks I've had in a good while. Our young male server was really helpful and pleasant that night. Also I hadn't realised/noticed the wine in the deal had been left in the room for us (they had already moved it once to the upgraded room) and when I asked about it thinking it came with the meal a staff member went and got it. Nothing was too much trouble. Really friendly, kind staff. Good food, (breakfast also excellent) great accommodation. Right in the centre of town, only a 3 or 4 minute walk to the Millennium Forum. Easy to park very nearby in the Bishops Gate car park.

Spacious clean rooms, modern bathroom, kettle with cups, tea and coffee, window view and clean towels and a good supply of loo roll. Hand soap and shower gel supplied. Fabulous choice of breakfast which was plentiful and most enjoyable, the bar and restaurant was excellent, be prepared for large meals and so tasty !!

Plenty of parking out front. Easy to find. Hotel reception team helpful, including organising a cot. Rooms were clean, and had a velux that opened for airflow. The family room setup having 2 rooms adjoining was great, with a bathroom in each room helpful. The showers had great water pressure, and good range of temps. Breakfast was included, and was a basic buffet for continental, but a really great range of cooked breakfast options to order. Very tasty and lovely staff. Having a bar downstairs was great, and my hubby was able to take his pint upstairs to our room. Tasty meal options. It was quiet being mid week, so that suited us with a young family. We added an extra night, as it was very convenient for exploring the north.

Really friendly staff welcomed us in great fashion as we came for the Halloween festival just over the border in Derry. We booked here because it was pretty much all that was left around at the time, but it would definitely be my first choice if I come back again. Room was comfortable and clean, hotel is right opposite a number of petrol stations and had its own restaurant/bar. Staff were so helpful and friendly with ordering us taxis and providing us with a delicious breakfast. 10/10 would stay again.

Staff, namely Deborah were amazing and so so friendly and helpful. I mentioned I was gluten free at breakfast and was made a beautiful breakfast. The rooms were clean and perfect

The location was brilliant, 60 seconds walk to the Main Street and all the bars and restaurants and only a couple minutes to beaches and a beautiful river walk. We had one of the apartments out the back and it was spotless and it had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable I had to take the make of the mattress as I need one for myself. Brian was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

The room was amazing, clean and so comfortable. The proprietor was extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly. A variety of high quality options for breakfast was offered including a full fry, various coffee options and freshly squeezed orange juice.

We had a really comfortable stay here. The place is lovely and clean. The room was very comfortable. The host was very accommodating and served a lovely breakfast. The house itself is gorgeous. Location is really convenient. 2 minutes from the Main Street and about 5 minutes from the beach. Couldn’t ask for any better.

It’s a beautiful big building, wonderful furniture and textiles.. our room was amazing and spotless clean, plus the host was excellent. Very helpful, breakfast was amazing too..

Serendipity....oh my goodness....what a unique special place this is. The Continental Breakfast selection was excellent, delicious and plentiful with fresh fruit, pastries, meats, cheese, muffins, scones, a variety of coffee, tea, juice and more. A reasonably priced separate cooked to order breakfast menu was offered as well. Two evenings, we had a fantastic dinner in their private room at the back of the property which has an amazing patio view of the city. Our room on the top floor was quiet, spotless and cozy. The owner Stephen, Chef Sheamus ❤️ and Caroline (who worked so hard and her beautiful smile never left her face) we're so welcoming and friendly, we hated to leave. Needless to say, Serendipity is highly recommended by Canadian mom and daughter traveling through beautiful Ireland ☘️

We loved everything about Serendipity House, the second we stepped in, and it felt cosy and warmth. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and bright. The shower is so powerful and spacious. Food from breakfast to dinner was top-notch. We will be back again. Street parking is safe,just put in the wing mirrors.

Good location overlooking the City centre from the terrace bar and a less than ten minute stroll to the main City centre area. Lovely staff, very attentive and helpful, room was compact but everything you needed and comfortable. Continental breakfast was plentiful, lots of choice plus you could get a cooked breakfast for a small charge but the continental was enough for us. Nice terrace bar area, which we took advantage of, overall a great place for a base to do your Derry exploring.

Honestly as a fellow Derry girl I booked this last minute for the jazz festival unknowing to what was in store, absolutely blew me and my partner away with the views of the city and the tiny outdoor bar and how exceptional the decor, layout and quality of the place! Absolutely lovely friendly down the earth staff, breakfast was unbelievable and the room was so warm, clean and modern! Hidden gem in Marlborough terrace and we'll definitely be back 😊

Very nice place to stay, on Arrival room was quiet cold and had to turn on rad. Forgot to turn off and room went to other extreme at nighttime. There seemed to be only one setting. We had selected this place partially because of breakfast included but in the morning we discovered that it was on continental breakfast and hot breakfast was an extra charge. Now the hot breakfast was good quality and value. Other than these small things it was very cosy, friendly spot to stay and great location for matches in either Celtic park or the brandywell.

Check in process was simple, and the staff were all very friendly. The room was clean comfortable and just what we wanted. The bar is perfect for afternoons as well as into the evening, with the weather being quite wet we spent a fair bit of time in the bar. Our evening meal was great, we selected 5 small plates and shared these and all of them were delicious. We slept well and really enjoyed the full selection at breakfast.

Very comfortable, clean hotel. Staff were very nice & helpful. Dinner in the bar was great as was the buffet breakfast. We had a new bathroom in our room with a great shower. Couldn't fault this place and will definitely be back in the future.

Had a 2x double bedroom for a stay with my mother and my daughter. The room was comfortable, a decent size and the bathroom was well-designed. All staff were very friendly and helpful - receptionist, restaurant staff in the bar in the evening and for breakfast in the morning. All food was of a good home cooking standard. The price we paid for a one night stay was very good value for money - especially when including the breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was much bigger than I thought it was going to be, bathroom was clean and modern. Beds were extremely comfortable and having a fridge in the room was an excellent bonus. The food and atmosphere in the bar/restaurant was also great.

Liked Everything rooms were spacious modern and clean with tea & coffee facilities we had a small kitchenette excellent value and easy to get to with parking services Staff were friendly and efficient and breakfast was very good with plenty on offer would highly recommend this hotel and definitely stay again

The staff were great, the breakfast was great, and the atmosphere in the bar was great. Pool/steam room and jacuzzi was good.

I enjoyed the fresh fruit and home made granola and yoghurt, for breakfast it’s my thing. I enjoyed the steam room and jacuzzi.

The city hotel is very welcoming. We loved our room 306 with 2 massive double beds a great bathroom and plenty of room . I forgot to ask for a walk in shower as I can't get into the bath to shower but my fault. Room decor was lovely but the curtains didn't pull as one was off the runners but it certainly didn't spoil our night there . The staff all round where amazing and next time we will try the food as it looked lovely . The cocktails where wonderful and the sav blanc white wine was delicious . Breakfast was a good choice and the seating area was very spacious and not cramped at all . Hot chocolate was delicious . My son never woke for breakfast so the front of staff lady was amazing and let me take up breakfast to the room for him x location was excellent and down the road on the left opposite the indian we where able to park and pay by app which worked out very cheap and I could go on the app in the morning and re do my parking so easy x Thanku all for a wonderful stay we will be back . Just spent a lovely night in Cityhotel. Despite the ongoing renovations, I can honestly say we had a wonderful stay. The staff were all so lovely - helpful, friendly and professional willing to go the extra mile to help. Our room was just perfect. Amazing views over the Peace Bridge and The Guildhall. Clean, comfortable, well decorated and comfrey bed. Food delicious both in restaurant and at breakfast. Well done to everyone but a special mention to Samantha. Thank you.
