All great, just a shame you have to pay extra to use the sauna, jacuzzi etc and breakfast is expensive for two

This is the first time we have stayed in a IHG hotel and we left very impressed. We chose it for its excellent location. It’s next to the shops, restaurants and the cathedral. We had a corner suite which was very nice. Very quiet with lovely views of the cathedral. Room was spacious with lots of storage space. Room had both a kettle and coffee machine. Lots of teas and coffees provided as well as fresh milk and biscuits. Nice little fridge as well. Bed was very very comfortable. Bathroom was huge with both a tub and a large walk in shower. All the staff we met at reception and breakfast were friendly and helpful. We read some negative comments about the breakfasts but cannot understand why. Our experience was great. It’s a nice breakfast area. The buffet breakfast options were very good- fresh fruit and juices. Good quality breads and fresh pastries. Good choice of cereals and cold cuts. Coffee was very good. Cooked breakfast came very quickly and quality was high - we are very fussy about how our eggs are cooked and they were perfect! In all we had a very nice relaxing stay.

ocation: The property couldn’t be more central — right next to the cathedral and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and all main attractions. Accommodation: The hotel is beautifully decorated — spacious, elegant, and modern. Our room was comfortable and luxurious, a perfect retreat after a day spent exploring or dining out. Service: The staff were exceptionally polite, helpful, and kind. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and had reached out a couple of days before with a small request. The team went out of their way to accommodate it, which made our stay even more special and memorable. Spa: We booked the spa for a couple of hours and each enjoyed a relaxing back massage. Although the spa isn’t huge, there were only a few other guests using it, which made the experience calm and peaceful. Facilities include a sauna, steam room, hot tubs, and a fun interactive shower with different “weather” settings and temperatures to choose from. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommended!

Good but could be quite a bit better! The positive: Really lovely staff at the front desk and in the restaurant. Nice walkable location. Comfortable bed. Quirky and nice decor. Good coffee drinks at the restaurant. The needs improvement: Gosh, why can't there be hooks to hang the towels on? There's nowhere to put them! Restaurant: just not...very good. At a guess I'd say the quality of the raw ingredients isn't very good? I like the idea of ordering a hot breakfast but it only really works if the result is tasty. Which it never was. The "be advised if you're staying here": Our room overlooked a street where there was a busker playing for hours. This meant no peace and quiet during the day. Also, there was some really loud music til 11pm on Friday night - again - just useful to know. It is city centre, so that's for better and for worse. The "folks, you REALLY need to clean up your act": The spa, when I visited on Friday afternoon, was a disgrace. Used drinking glasses and towels everywhere. No clean towels available in the changing room. No fresh glasses for anyone wanting water (dangerous actually). No one monitoring the temperatures resulting in a steam room I'm pretty sure was dangerously hot. Some marks on one of the two hot tubs that looked suspiciously like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. All it would take is someone coming in every 20-30 minutes or so to have made it a better experience. Definitely not worth £35.

Very good tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, plenty of storage space. Bed was very comfortable. Room was modern and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the breakfasts - buffet and cooked on offer. Breakfast service was fast and well prepared.

5 Star all the way. Receptionist friendly, informative and very polite. The Superior Lodge was spotless, clean, stunning and the bonus of the private jacuzzi.

It was a very late booking (same day, couple of hours notice) but they could not have been more accommodating. Shaun was very welcoming and took us up to our accommodation and made sure everything was fine. The accommodation was perfect, very comfortable, clean and in a beautiful setting. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service were excellent. Fleur was very friendly and even though we arrived with just 10 minutes before service closed, made sure we all go something to eat. We all had the fish and chips and it was delicious. Bonus points for the very cute donkeys and animals in the paddocks! We come to the area once a month for work and will definitely be using this as our first choice.

It’s was very clean and new caravans! Facilities on site were all clean and lovely with all staff couldn’t be more helpful! Caravans had all equipment and nice clean towels and sheets- bed also comfy with good shower! Restaurant food was nice and priced in line with pub prices. Entertainment was quite good with bingo every night. Open air pool was lovely and the gym was very new and state of the art!

The site was spotless, the staff were friendly and there was enough for the kids to do. The static caravan was spotless and modern lovely central heating, plenty of towels. And very close parking. The site was quiet in the night too. And only a short drive to dawlish

Although we arrived after reception had shut, someone came to give us our Welcome pack & escorted us to our caravan immediately after phoning them. The caravan was very comfortable, spotlessly clean. The greatest asset are the staff. All the people we met were welcoming, engaging and helpful. It has a lot of facilities for a relatively small site, but very well laid out, very well kept communal areas & safe. There is a very good pub within walking distance where we had a brilliant meal & again, the staff were lovely. Cofton is absolutely brilliant for families, the single traveller, older couples.

We enjoyed our stay at the New Inn. Mark was welcoming on arrival, our room was an executive triple room, it was equipped with what we needed, the beds were very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the food was great. We sampled the local Sandford Orchards cider which was scrumptious! Breakfast was very tasty too.

The roads to get to the New Inn are very narrow, but when you arrive it is worth the trip. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The evening meal was very nice and so were the rest of the customers. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. I will definitely stay again.

The best thing I can say is that it is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Perfect location, great bar and food, friendly locals and great staff. Room had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable. Also, very quiet! Highly recommended!

This was our second stay and third visit to the New Inn - and we'll most certainly be back again because we love the place! The hosts are fantastic and make you feel so welcome, their home-cooked food is just amazing (and extremely generous portions!), and the beds are just so comfortable that we get the best night's sleep. The location is perfect as it's so quiet and quaint - although Devon Council should really support their local businesses by mending the excessive potholes in the approach roads!! All in all, this place is to be thoroughly recommended and it's certainly very reasonably priced for the quality of stay.

Rooms were very spacious and clean and very quiet considering we were on the main road. Some rooms had a second door to stop any noise from the other guests. There was a big bed in the room, comfortable clean bed, coffee facilities and fans in room were top quality. The bar and restaurant were lovely, we had dinner and breakfast and the food quality was amazing. The staff were attentive and friendly.

The breakfast was plentiful and made to order. There was an additional option of continental breakfast. It was lovely that only those staying at the Inn, were allowed at breakfast - it wasn't open to the public and that made breakfast a very quiet and relaxing affair. The room was very clean and nicely styled. The bathroom was nice with a bath and a rain shower. The water was hot each morning with a powerful flow. There was a Dyson fan provided that blew hot or cool - whichever you prefer. A coffee machine is in the room. The location was excellent - close to the Quay and the city. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was lovely, as were the cocktails! Absolutely brilliant that there is dedicated parking.

An extended stay in Devon was made more fabulous by staying at the Mill on Ex. On arrival we were met by the lovely Mike who on a very busy service In the restaurant made sure we were given fantastic service by finding us a table for some food while our room was being prepared as we arrived before checkin. Mike made us aware of the fabulous facilities and a warm welcome was given. Our room (Room 1 - suite) was of a high standard, very clean, cosy and the bed was very comfortable and the room exceeded all expectations. The shower was of high quality and the water pressure was exceptionally good and the bathroom toiletries were an added bonus. Towels and bed linen were of high quality. The refreshments in the room were high quality. Restaurant- amazing ambience to dine in the conservatory at night. Food was amazing only comment would be to have more of a vegetarian choice as it was limited. Staff - From the housekeeper to the bar staff to Mike they were very friendly and came across happy in there work and genuine. They couldn’t do enough for us. 110 % would choose the Mill on Ex over there competition and look forward to staying with you again in the future. Many congratulations to everyone for a memorable stay.

The staff were friendly & nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was lovely with pastel decor & pictures on the walls it was well equipped with a coffee maker, kettle & mini bar. We had a river view room with a rainfall shower, which was very powerful. We stayed bed & breakfast & there was an excellent selection of breakfast items on the main menu along with juices & continental breakfast. We had the Sunday roast & an evening meal here & all the food was freshly cooked & served piping hot it was absolutely delicious 😋 We would definitely recommend staying here & we will be back again!

We had booked the Mill as a stop over point on the way to Bigbury on Sea and got so much more than we bargained for. After a long and delayed trip on the train we delighted to find this quaint looking pub right on the river. The staff were amazingly friendly on arrival an our room which was on the ground floor was ready straight away. It was a spacious room with a big double bed, smart Tv, a seating area and cute double doors out on to a little patio. The bathroom was huge and all looked quite newly fitted, lovely fluffy towels and good selection of toiletries. There was also tea and coffee making facilities in the room. After arriving we walked the short distance along the river to the Quay area which has some fantastic bars, restaurants and quaint little antique shops. A fab night in Exeter followed and a nightcap in the beautifully lit riverside garden. Bed was amazingly comfortable and we slept like tops! Breakfast was included in our stay and was served in the beautiful orangery style dinning room all was freshly cooked and delicious. Would absolutely recommend this place without hesitation.

Everything was amazing - the room (No 15) was spacious and well-designed with a lovely bathroom, really comfy bed, plenty of storage space, two comfortable chairs, a small table and a lovely patio which should, I think, enjoy the afternoon and evening sun in the summer. The shower was excellent too. We also had an "out of hours" access door if the pub was shut, very useful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the evening meal we had was generous and also delicious. We spent New Year's Eve there and were able to join in the party complete with disco and excellent free buffet. All the staff were friendly and helpful too. One rather odd bonus was that the orientation of the bed was perfect for us - head at the North end, feet at the South end, which we find gives us a really good night's sleep! We definitely want to go back in the summer when we can take advantage of the beautiful views from the garden.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, it was simply literally walking into the local (pub). Everyone happy and enjoying themselves. Room was clean, bed was really comfy, and the shower was great pressure. Not a huge room but perfect for our one night stay. We had dinner there, fabulous pie and mash with loads of gravy, very delicious. Breakfast came with the room price and was equally delicious. Room was very quiet so easy to sleep.

I was only here briefly en route to a job and wish I'd had more time to spend here. Delightful accomodation. Loved the comfy Kingsize double bed and had a really good night's sleep. Attractive decor and spacious, spotlessly clean bathroom with good shower. The room had its own balcony which I didn't use, being November, but I went outside on it to admire the view towards the estuary and the sunrise in the morning. Friendly staff extended a warm greeting on my arrival and the Christmas decorations were up making the foyer and bar area look really inviting. Sadly I had an early start and didn't get to sample dinner or breakfast but I would love to return there for pleasure rather than work sometime.

Traditional pub setting with clean, very comfortable accommodation (about 15 rooms) at a reasonable price. Booked two nights bed and breakfast to attend funeral in Teignmouth and very pleasantly surprised at the quality of accommodation. Well appointed room with large double bed, TV, kettle, tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc additional bed in form of fold out sofa. Good w.c and shower. Good breakfast menu and pleasant friendly staff. Plenty of car parking and attractive beer garden. We had dinner on first night in pleasant restaurant area and thoroughly enjoyed it. As it was a Wednesday which is steak night we had a rump steak each and they were perfectly cooked. The Cockhaven is great base for a visit to Teignmouth and surrounding area. It is also dog friendly and offers facilities especially for dogs including doggy ice cream, washing area and old towels to dry your canine companions. We recommend this place.

We were very lucky that we happened to be given the room with a patio that was a real sun-trap and had amazing views. In the evening we sat out there watching the full moon rising with a G & T from the bar. The bed was supremely comfortable, a good size, and the room and en-suite were very clean. It was also lovely and quiet. Breakfast was great, a selection of fruits (grapefruit, prunes, mixed berry compote), granola and gorgeous yoghurt, with fruit juices and a cooked breakfast option with tea or coffee. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere there is wonderful.

Very convenient location near St David's station (and easily walkable to Central stn & city centre). Friendly welcome, quiet, clean and comfortable room at a very reasonable price.

Very pleasantly surprised at how lovely the place was. The host was really welcoming and made a lovely breakfast. There were free car parking spaces. The room was nicely decorated, very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Although the bathroom was shared, it was very clean and the hotel was quiet so it didn’t really feel like it was shared.

Have stayed before and I love it there. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I had a shared bathroom and it was sparkly clean. Loraine is very sweet and kind. I cannot fault this cute B and B. I had no time for breakfast, but I had breakfast there before and it is delicious!

Great base for visiting Exeter City Centre- easy walk into town, and then very easy to reach Exerer St David's train Station by foot the next morning. Very friendly and helpful host. Comfortable room, with a good shower and tea making facilities. Good choice for breakfast and tasty.

Lorraine was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and conformable. Even though I did not have the breakfast the aroma was amazing. The hotel is very convenient for the city centre and train stations. A great find.

The bedroom and bathroom were immaculately clean . Very comfortable king sized bed and great sea views from this room.( no.6) The breakfast was delicious and promptly served. A varied menu to chose from. The staff were friendly yet very professional who went the extra mile. The refreshments in the room, aswell as the shower caps , toiletries, hairdryer, fan ,tea,coffee,biscuits and sweets were all much appreciated. Perfect location. Lovely and quiet throughout the night.( Couldn't hear the seagulls with window closed.) Will recommend 100 percent. Looking forward to staying here again.

We spent 3 nights here with our Dog. The room as large and very clean. The bed was very comfy. Shower was really good too, nice and hot and powerful. Had tea/coffee and kettle in the room and biscuits replenished every day. We found the owners and staff were all really friendly. Breakfast was spot on! There was a few cooked breakfasts to choose from although we had Full English every day. It was cooked to perfection and arrived nice and hot. Could have extra if we wanted. It came with a choice of toast and tea/coffee along with fruit salad, cereals and juices. The location is great. Right on the sea front with beautiful beech walks each way, cliff walk and gardens. The town centre only a short stroll away. Also a ferry to Sheldon just across the water for £2 each. There was a car park just up the road that was only £6 a day. There was also parking on the road opposite where it was easy to pull up unload our things. We would 100% recommend this for anyone visiting Teignmouth. Perfect for couples and dog friendly.

Located on the quieter side of Teighnmouth which was perfect. Amazing sea view from our room. We could hear the waves as we fell asleep. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast options were brilliant and offered such a variety. Very tasty breakfast. Hosts we're very friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful room overlooking the seafront. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Could hear the waves crashing at night! Exceptionally clean and tidy room, lovely furnishings, very clean and functional bathroom. Great options at breakfast time, beautifully cooked food. Nice and relaxed. Friendly and helpful hosts. Cleaning staff also very friendly and helpful. Hotel is perfectly located on the flat, with easy access to the beach, promenade, cliff walks and just a few minutes from town and railway station. Absolutely loved my stay here.

The location of the accommodation was ideal, near to the sea front and shops and was within walking distance of the railway station. A large varied menu for breakfast was freshly cooked to order and there was a good selection of cereals, fresh fruit salad, and fruit juice available as well as a variety of teas and coffee. My room was for a single person, it was very clean and comfortable. The only dislike I had was the window had frosted glass as it faced other properties. This made it feel quite "closed- in" during any time I spent in the room as I could not see out at all. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and kept the breakfast room clean at all times.

The staff at Queens Court Hotel were all exceptional. So welcoming, friendly and hard working. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and well taken care of. It isn’t a modern hotel, but clean and had the amenities needed. In a good location, on a quiet street, within short walking distance to Exeter Central rail station. It was good value. Breakfast in the morning was made to order, wonderful and so delicious and we enjoyed it very much. We had to leave before breakfast one day and the front desk staff put together a take away breakfast with fruit, baked goods and water. It was so appreciated!

My welcome to the hotel was very friendly and I was checked in within a couple of minutes. My room was on the same floor as reception and was very clean and comfortable. The location of this hotel is a 10 minute walk or so to shops and restaurants etc. It's also close to Exeter Central train station and around a 10/15 walk from the coach station. The breakfast was hot and fresh, served with fresh coffee and juice, which was all delicious and set me up for my journey home later that day. Highly recommend this hotel to travellers to Exeter

Breakfast was great plenty of choices & plentiful servings, Kim had a good way of ordering breakfast. Peter’s porridge with bee juice was delicious! Peter & Kim were excellent friendly host's. We stayed in a room in the cottage, with a view over the garden, squirrels were foraging on the lawn, very comfortable bed there is also a large lounge room & Mollys garden available for guest use, which was nice. There is the Bowd Restaurant Pub at the end of the driveway, great meals and great service there.

A beautiful old cottage with modern rooms behind, we stayed in room 9 which was spotless with a four poster bed and patio doors leading to a beautiful garden.shower room again spotless with robes, slippers, hairdryer and toiletries. Peter and Kim are fabulous hosts making a delicious breakfast of your choice, we were made to feel very welcome and 50 yards at the end of the drive is the Bowd Inn where we ate dinner every night, very well looked after.

Beautiful location, exceptionally clean and excellent food. Plenty of choice for breakfast and a delightful breakfast room with view of the garden, a peaceful and quiet retreat. Comfortable room. We absolutely loved our stay.

The breakfasts choice was superb and the quality of the breakfast was first class. The hosts were very friendly and did everything that they could to make our stay enjoyable. The room was kept clean and the tea/coffee/biscuit tray was replenished every day. The accommodation was situated in a convenient position to catch buses in either direction which enabled us to use public transport every day.

Amazing stay at Padbrook hotel. All of the staff are welcoming and very polite and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The room was big, bright and airy with lovely views. Bed linen is the softest and so comfy. Amazing shower and lovely jacuzzi bath . Food was amazing and breakfast was very yummy. All the staff went above and beyond, from Reception, cleaners, bar, kitchen, waitresses and waiters. We were staying for one night for a wedding , but we extended our stay as we loved it so much. Will be back. Thank you for a lovely day.

The room was a good size. Very quiet. Comfy bed. The fridge was very handy, and the jacuzzi bath was lovely. The room and bathroom were very clean. Nice fluffy towels. The evening meal was exceptional. The steak was one of the best I have ever had. The service and friendliness of the staff were warm, helpful, and welcoming. Overall I would stay again.

The location, easy 2 to 3 minute walk for bus 373 for Tiverton Parkway train station, Tiverton and Exeter. And number 1 bus... The hotel is spacious. Excellent top notch food. Chef great cook. Breakfast big and plenty. Or choose continental at the buffet bar. Leisure facilities free to paying guests. The village library is just a few minutes walk with a cafe, , and lots to explore in the village. Hotel Staf are friendly and polite. Rooms clean, and tea, coffee in room. Laundry service, a list of taxis in your room should you want to use the swevice. Everything to enjoy, and safe for kids to play. Dogs are welcome. It's just such a lovey place. Staff very nice. Leisure facilities free to paying guests.. Food is delicious.. I went in mid February, it rained a bit but some good days too. Buy big brolly for 3.49 from Home Bargains next to ALDI. Its all on your doorstep there to relax and enjoy

From the moment I arrived the staff as always are so friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and the bed is so comfortable and a huge size. Dinner was as always superb and very good value for the price, breakfast was again super and the restaurant is very clean and the staff are so helpful. As said before it's home from home.

Staff offered us a free breakfast on the first night he stay on the whole was amazing, really comfortable and quiet rooms. Breakfast was so lovely and plentiful, very clean hotel and the staff were amazing very helpful. very near to station and places of interest.

Fantastic location, 10 minutes pleasant walk ( up a hill) into centre. Hotel was generally very clean and rooms were well designed and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly, caring and attentive. They made every guest feel special and cared for. Everyone we came across: housekeeping, reception staff. They were very attentive at breakfast, cleaning tables immediately and seating guests personally. I thought breakfast was very well organised. The staff seemed to really enjoy their job and were so positive. For example joking with children, asking guests about their day, taking the initiative to recommend places to eat etc. They truly went above and beyond and made our visit to Exeter special because of the hotel experience. We didn’t expect this as booked the Holiday Inn based on location and reasonable price. But the staff made it feel like a very personal and small hotel- just perfect!

The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They gave us a room in a quiet part of the building away from any lift and stairway, which always helps as I am a very light sleeper. The room was very comfortable and clean, and cool thanks to the air conditioning, which helped cool us down after a rather warm day of walking. It also came with a kettle and tea, coffee and milk sachets. Even better, there were spare milk sachets in reception for you to use - I always run out of those things on the first full day. Breakfast was well stocked - some people might complain there were not enough items in the hot food section - but I thought it was a good choice of foods.

Spacious room, comfy bed. Wasn't expecting a sofa and table, too. Excellent shower. Good view of the river and a short walk uphill into town. Staff welcoming and helpful. Good breakfast. Despite the hotel being busy and close to a main road, we weren't disturbed by any noise. Will stay here again.

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay with Fiona & Rob the owners and hosts of this lovely B&B. A unique and traditional house converted into a hotel back in the 50s, we booked the deluxe double with balcony and we were pleasantly surprised on arrival how beautiful it was. It’s a huge space with 2 large bay windows overlooking the town with a sea view. To note this is not a modern establishment, but it is clean and comfortable offering everything you might need for your stay. Off-road parking opposite, a 5 minute stroll into Dawlish town (walking back has a slight incline) and a room with hot drink making facilities, water, fresh milk available, hand wash body wash, shower gel and shampoo & conditioner all of nice quality. And a hairdryer! There is even cotton wool and earbuds. They have thought of everything. Homemade apricot cookies and macarons also a lovely touch .. Both Fiona & Rob were on hand for local advice, breakfast options varied and cooked to a high standard. Rob’s poached eggs are perfect! To also mention the amazing snow scene in the breakfast room all hand made by Rob .. stunning! We will definitely book here again!

Good central location, splendid view, quiet cul de sac position. Ample parking. 200 year old house with lots of architectural interest/quirkiness. Our 2nd floor room was massive with splendid sea views from both forward windows. Comfy bed. Nice furnishings and little touches everywhere. Shower room also huge (used to be a separate bedroom at one time) with view to rear. Breakfasts were excellent (esp the full English). Everything was hot, good quality and plentiful without being over the top. Our hosts Fiona and Rob were very friendly and helpful. Fiona often had suggestions of nice places to go/eat at that she could recommend from personal experience. Some excellent eateries in walking distance etc Annie’s Tea Room, Daisy’s Tea Room, The Mix and Sticky Rice were all excellent. We really liked the feel of Dawlish with the green area and little river through the middle complete with ducks and signature black swans!

The amazing Sea view from bedroom window. The breakfast was very plentiful - continental variety available, cooked full English with local produce Inc black pudding! The sausages were delicious - cooked to perfection - variety of breakfast choices. Bedroom large plenty of space there & very comfortable bed. Hosts were perfect- friendly & so very helpful. Great location for trains to visit other nearby locations.

Very good instructions on how to get there and where to park. Hosts had our room ready for when we arrived which was great. Very friendly welcome by Fiona who showed us the breakfast room and the times for breakfast and explained about the WiFi. She carried my parents case up the flight of stairs to their room, which was very kind. Rooms were clear, home made cookies, tea and coffee etc in the rooms. My parents room was huge with everything apart from a fridge. We had the York room, which was a lot smaller. Beds were comfortable but I would have preferred bigger pillows, but that is my preference. Lovely selection of hot breakfast items with cereal, yoghurt and fruit salad. It would have been nice to help yourself to the fruit juice. Fiona always offered you a good selection of toasts and breads. Lovely breakfast room. You could not hear anything in the rooms from other guests and we slept well. Shower hot and powerful. Location was excellent, easy walk to town, train station and bus stops.

Good old fashioned B&B hosted by Fiona and Rob who were so friendly and accommodating. Our room had a beautiful sea view. It was incredibly spacious with an equally spacious bathroom and dressing area. There was a table set up for refreshments with homemade cookies which were delicious. The breakfast was outstanding. Good produce, hot and beautifully cooked. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was superb, very close to the town centre and easily walkable to both bus stop and train station with amazing public transport all along the coast. We visited both Dawlish Warren and Teignmouth for the music festival and the trains ran until past midnight which enabled us to have a glass of cider or 3, without the need for expensive taxis. We parked our car up in the parking spaces opposite the property and didn't use it again until it was time to leave. Can highly recommend the roast dinners at the Anchor pub at Cockwood nearby..... again, easily reached by train or bus.

Stayed here for a long weekend for our anniversary. We were very quickly and efficiently checked by Jessica, a star. Very professional and helpful. Joe, also on the Reception was very helpful in answering our questions as to how and where we should be touring. Our room was lovely, clean and good facilities. Very comfortable bed. The View on the 8 Floor, restaurant and bar has splendid view of the Devon coastline. We were fortunate to have good weather. Breakfast is self service with a good choice, with plenty of everything. Chris and Pradeep the chefs made us fresh fried eggs which we enjoyed very much. In the evening, Joan, the Lady, very kindly went thru the menu with us. Food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious and fantastic. So well prepared and beautifully served. I had the steak which was very tasty and tender. My wife had fish and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Food is all fresh and locally produced. Chef delighted us with a surprise of wonderfully decorated dessert with Happy Anniversary. It was a shame to ruin it by eating! The taste was super! We were served by a young lady, Dani, who was very efficient and friendly.

New hotel at Sandy Park (home of the Exeter chiefs) on the outskirts of the city close to M5 motorway and Exeter airport Well appointed rooms and friendly staff The View restaurant has a new menu since we last visited and the food is now excellent Would recommend the salt and pepper squid which was the best I’ve tasted with tasty mains as well Good breakfast buffet The View certainly lives up to its name with a sheltered outdoor terrace with great views down to Exmouth and across to the moors Very convenient of course if you want to see the Exeter chiefs play - we did and it was a great experience Driving into Exeter can be long winded and parking expensive and difficult so a top tip is to take the train which is a 10 minute walk to Newcourt or Digby and Sowton stations (Newcourt slightly closer but more trains stop at Digby) and get off at Exeter central within 15 minute walk or so Overall an excellent hotel with plenty of onsite parking our go to when visiting this part of Devon

This was a perfect location for us, staying for a Sandy Park visit. You can see the stadium from the hotel. Easy parking (£12) We had a room high up that was peaceful & had views. Room was clean, modern & comfortable. The breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choices. Visit the bar on the 8th floor. Lovely vibes & views

Room was of good size, clean, quiet and comfortable. Bed one of the most comfortable I've slept on. Located in an estate outside Exeter city, it is a good value stay on a road trip. Staff pleasant and helpful. Pros: - quiet - rooms clean and comfortable - food was good value and bar served great Guinness Cons: - parking cost - Wifi awful - no room service

We took my parents to the Courtyard Hotel to celebrate their 59th Wedding Anniversary. We chose the hotel as had been there before and found it to be brilliantly accessible. Both my Mum and I use wheelchairs. We were all delighted with our weekend away, the staff were incredibly welcoming, the rooms were accessible and very clean, the food both in the bar and in the beautiful The View restaurant was gorgeous. There was a very talented musician playing on the Friday evening who dedicated a song to my parents for their Anniversary and Charlie the bar man set all the ingredients out so we could watch him make our cocktails! Plenty of disabled parking spaces, no problems at all getting around the entire hotel in our wheelchairs, there are 2 accessible toilets in the reception area and bistro area downstairs and a really handy one close to The View restaurant upstairs. It's a great location to get to gorgeous places along the coast, it only took 25 minutes to drive to Sidmouth on Saturday and 25 minutes to Teignmouth on Sunday! We all recommend this hotel, it's good value for money too!

What a lovely find. The Globe was both picturesque and welcoming. Discovered this gem while looking for a pit-stop on our travels. We were initially drawn to the traditional pub style of the restaurant, but wow! You couldn't ask for a friendlier team. Fantastic food, excellent service and selection of drinks at the bar. Beautifully quaint building a short walk from the harbour. Our room on the balcony was clean and incredibly comfortable - even equipped with a nespresso machine of our own! Facilities are kept well. We both had dinner and breakfast with The Globe, very satisfactory and excellent choices for a range of dietary requirements. Alcohol free options available, and a dog-friendly environment to boot. Great value for a much recommended visit. Will absolutely be keeping this name in mind for future trips.

Stopping off in Devon for a few days break, we were very pleased with our stay at The Globe. While the property is very far from being an "all singing all dancing" modern hotel (no elevator for example); it has buckets of charm and is situated in an excellent location. Our room was certainly spacious and very clean and well appointed and everything worked perfectly. The bar was great fun - thank you - and Topsham supports very many restaurants, including two world class venues - but be warned: make sure to book well in advance! In addition Topsham is very well served by regular trains into Exeter and beyond and Exmouth - so it makes a great base to explore the South West coast. There were however a couple of negatives. Firstly, despite the clear guidance given by The Globe, the parking (unloading and loading) is a bit of a pain on the narrow street and the actual (paid) parking lot is some way from the hotel. Secondly the service in the restaurant was heart breakingly abysmal. Our dinner was clearly lovingly prepared by the kitchen, and then left to go cold before we got it. We also waited a very long time for drinks, as did many other tables, and the service itself was cursory to say the least (no offer to taste our wine for example, they just opened the bottle and brought it to the table). Would we go back? Yes, very probably. It's a very nice hotel with a great deal going for it - we would just choose to eat at one of the many other restaurants in town or in Exeter.

The Globe is very central and nice and quiet too albeit our room faced onto a garden bar. The indoor bar was awesome and cosy with a fireplace. The staff were very attentive. The room was, exceptionally clean and the bed was amazingly comfy and very big. Couldn't fault the service or the room. The parking was just up the road in a public parking facility but really easy to access from the hotel. All in all a good experience and we would definitely go back.

I loved everything about this hotel. The friendliness on arrival and the superb location. Right in town and 5 minutes walk to 24 hour parking. Close to all the restaurants, cafés and shops. Comfortable bed and a great shower, the rooms are big and spotless. We had a great sleep and there was no noise despite being next to the outside dining area. Lots of tea and coffee making facilities on hand here including bottles of water and shower accessories . I didnt stay for breakfast but will consider next time. I will definitely return here.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious each morning, Lovely selection of continental and cooked available. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant which was fabulous. Room was clean and comfortable, lovely touch with elemis toiletries. Excellent location , with parking nearby.

Delighted this pub with accommodation has reopened. Now under new ownership and refurbishment. Perfect location to explore the town and glorious Devon countryside. Amazing value for mid week B and B. It is also a perfect base for taking our evening meal at the wonderful Italian restaurant, Berto's, a short walk away. Very good traditional breakfast. Our room #3 spacious, comfortable and clean. Stylish well run hotel with a wonderful atmosphere and lovely staff. The lounge bar and restaurant are charming and the food both and dinner and breakfast was delicious with a well thought out menu. Fantastic cocktails too! The harpist playing during dinner on valentines weekend was beautiful. We were lucky enough to have the four poster room which was super clean and comfortable. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Perfect for a cosy stay after a long walk on Dartmoor. Fantastic location.

The hotel was very central in Moretonhampstead and had been recently redecorated to a high standard. The decor had been chosen carefully and looked fresh without losing the character of the 400 year old building. Everything was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable, plenty of tea, coffee and milk available in the room. The shower was pleasant and nice fresh towels. Generally staff were very helpful and friendly and once they are more experienced at using the computer to check guests in and order food for breakfast it will be better. The owner was around at breakfast time and happy to chat about all the improvements that have been made.

The hotel has either been newly decorated or refurbished as it looks stunning, the choice of wallpaper, carpet in the entrance etc, makes it really cosy and welcoming. The breakfast was exceptional, as was all the wait staff. We decided to have dinner in the hotel, and they were great with my son, and kept him entertained during the evening (also great that Alice our waitress knew to ask me about puddings quietly, and not my son). The waiter at breakfast was so genial, and offered some advice on a walk to Postbridge nearby, he was really lovely and attentive. Breakfast was gorgeous, and I rarely post about it on social, but did because it was one of the nicer presented spreads. Our room was good, large and had a bathtub, the water was surprisingly high pressured shower, which I didnt expect in an old building. A fan was provided as it was a hot night, and the handmade shortbread was devoured by my son. All in all, a really great stay, well done to the owners of the property. We will probably come to stay again next year.

The atmosphere was lovely, welcoming, calm, friendly, cosy. The room was small but cosy, clean, warm and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was great, good options for vegans and vegetarians. The locations was great for exploring the moors.
