the hotel is located in the downtown area, it's an older part of town so not many stores are nearby other than smaller gift store types of shops. Located about two miles away are larger stores - Walmart and grocery stores. There are a few restaurants within walking distance that were good. The hotel rooms are nice with kitchenette and there is a pool, jacuzzi and small workout room on the premises.

We were absolutely delighted with our two-part stay at this hotel. The room was perfect, the breakfast was delicious and abundant, the location can't be better. And all the staff were exceptional. -- The desk staff was helpful and friendly (at all hours). -- The people who set up breakfast every day made sure everything was fully stocked at opening time, and they restocked throughout the morning. -- The shuttle drivers were always on time, and they twice were accommodating of our schedule. A real plus was having washers/dryers on-site. I didn't have to search all over town for a laundromat! Because our stay was before-and-after another excursion, the hotel gladly stored our excess luggage for a week. And the on-site restaurant Lavalle's was the best within walking distance in downtown. In addition to having a great choice of delicious food! I looked at some of the other recent reviews posted here and, truly, we had none of the issues other people did.

I recently stayed at the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Fairbanks, Alaska, and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out smooth. The room was clean and comfortable, with a separate sitting area that was perfect for relaxing. The location is excellent, allowing easy walks to the river and nearby shops. While the elevator was a bit slow, it was a minor issue compared to the overall quality of the stay. The included breakfast was a highlight, offering a good variety of options. IllFiarbanks.Facs_

The staff, although, understaffed, was amazing. Informative. Helpful and Friendly. Did not have a view but it overlooked rustic street behind the complex. Gym, pool and breathing clean well stocked and inviting. Love the restaurant- the cuisine was delicious. Thank you for making my birthday celebration the best.

Super friendly staff, clean and breakfast was good. The pool and hot tub were open. Kids can stay in until 9pm and adults can stay in until 11pm. Nice little gym. Rooms come with sink, microwave, coffee maker and fridge. Beds are decent, I’d say medium to firm but not too soft. I like my beds more soft. Worth the money. Restaurants, bars and gift shop directly behind the building.

The daily breakfast was fantastic and truly place a start to a great day, everyday. Large sized room was comfortable and cozy. Parking was easy with plenty of spaces on all sides of the hotel. Staff was absolutely amazing. Very attentive, professional and welcoming each and every day. Hot tub and pool area was exceptional.

We loved our room. It was very spacious and quiet. We loved the lobby area where there was lots of comfortable seating. We were able to sit and play games with family without disturbing anyone and it was very comfortable. The pool and breakfast was great. Very easy check in and check out. The location was very convenient and easy to find, right next to so many different stores and food options.

This is a great place to stay. It is clean, bright, and the staff is very friendly. Our room was clean and bright, the bathrooms spacious, and the beds comfortable. There's tons of parking. The breakfast was plentiful. We stayed there in order to catch a morning flight out of Fairbanks. It is only 15 minutes from the airport.

Our room was spacious and well-furnished - though we noted that the room door only locked if pushed/pulled very firmly. The hotel normally offers shuttle service to the airport/railway depot. However, the vehicle had been involved in a serious accident just before our stay, so the hotel paid for taxis to perform the journeys that the shuttle would have provided. The only problem we had at the hotel was that, on the first two days of our three day stay, breakfast was poor with no cream cheese, no bananas and (on the second day only) no butter and no fruit at all. We were told that this was due to non-arrival of the supply truck. We were amazed that, when we mentioned this to the duty manager, he said he knew nothing about any problems with breakfast. Given the hotel is a short walk from Walmart, Costco and Fred Meyer (all large well-stocked food shops) we thought the hotel should have bought some supplies locally, rather than leaving major gaps in the breakfast offering! On our third day the breakfast buffet was fully stocked – the truck had come! We were disappointed that no compensation (or even extra loyalty points) was offered for this shortfall in the hotel catering.

Friendly check-in. We came in around noon-time and were not give a hard time, as some hotels do, for checking in a couple of hours before the check-in time, and were given a nicer room due to Diamond status. The room was spacious, clean, and everything was in working order. The internet worked well, and was fairly speedy. Parking was free and easy. Breakfast was the usual for Hampton Inns--not fancy, but hot and tasty.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating for me and my friends. The room was clean and comfortable. Fresh coffee was provided daily. I wish breakfast was included. This location was very convenient and close to everything. Would highly recommend.

Perhaps my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at! Room had ALL the amenities I could possibly want. I wish I could live here as a studio apartment. Felt roomy and spacious, yet no wasted space, something useful or functional everywhere. Front desk staff was super friendly. I worked remotely on my laptop in the room, there was a very spacious desk area and solid large comfortable office chair. There's a library of DVDs and DVD players you can take to your room! I could see the TV from the bathtub, which was awesome.

Super clean hotel, comfortable bed, spacious room, kitchenette, free laundry, with plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. Overall a great value.

Excellent hotel to stay for the Northern Lights. Clean and centrally located. Having a kitchen is definitely a PLUS, since it’s so hard to go and get breakfast somewhere else when you do not have a car. Especially after staying up late at night observing the Lights. Short walking distance from Walmart where you can go shopping for groceries. Staff was helpful and friendly. Shuttle to Airport available Overall I recommended highly.

The jacuzzi,and the breakfast was decent I guess

Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the refillable drinking water and 24/7 coffee available at the lobby. Breakfast was pretty good too. The hotel is located in a quiet area — convenient if you have a car to get around. We stayed for 4 nights in mid-September. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a microwave and fridge. The Wi-Fi worked well throughout our stay.

This little gem is central to almost everything in Fairbanks. All of our plans were within 10 minutes. While close to the city, it is tucked in a little pocket of trees, so we woke up everyday to a pretty snow covered vista that felt like we were far away. The staff was friendly, the breakfast delicious, and the pool clean. The room with the hot tub was spacious with a very comfortable bed. We would definitely stay again if in Fairbanks!

This place is amazing in terms of location, value, free hot breakfast and free specialty coffee 24/7. Very clean and very friendly staff. It is a quarter mile walk on a paved path through some woods and across a nice pedestrian bridge right to scenic Pioneer Park. Very nice! Quiet and off the beaten path but actually closer to the best part of the Chema River than most downtown hotels. Highly recommended.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and spacious (though the bathroom was a bit small). The hotel is located near the Chena River with a cool walking bridge to the other side of the river. The other side has Alaskaland which is fascinating to explore. There is also a wonderful bike/walking trail along the river. The breakfast was excellent with hot eggs, pancakes, sausage and lots of other options

My stay at Hyatt Place during my visit to Fairbanks, Alaska was exceptional! The hotel is impeccably maintained, hygienic, and feels refreshingly new. The inclusion of Chromecast with the TV was a fantastic surprise, making streaming seamless and enjoyable. The spacious room and impeccably clean bathroom added to the comfort of my stay. One of the highlights was the complementary breakfast, which offered a variety of options to start the day on a delicious note. Additionally, the shuttle service to both the airport and rail depot was convenient and punctual, making transportation hassle-free.

Good breakfast, but you have to go early because they ran out of fruits and some other good options. Also, the coffee is not strong, but overall is very convenient in winter time, so you don’t have to go out in freezing temperatures to find a restaurant, specially if you have some tours planned. People in the front desk are very nice and helpful with information. Our bathtub was clogged and the cleaning lady fixed it right away. We arrived in a very late flight and left in a very early flight and yet the shuttle service took us to the airport on time. Convenient and well located.

Our suite was roomy and comfortable. It had a nice modern feel and seemed very new still. We only stayed one night, but wished it was longer. Check in was quick and the front desk host was friendly and informative. Nice breakfast spread and the staff there were very accommodating. Convenient location in the center of Fairbanks with plenty of shops and restaurants close by.

Great service. We asked for an accessible room and they got one for us. Breakfast was ready, tasty and convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. The location convenient to downtown and other tourist attractions. They offer shuttle service to the airport and train station.

This hotel has more like bed and breakfast feel. Everyone is friendly and trying to be helpful. Breakfast is served on china + cloth napkins, and the owner bakes different breakfast dish (one sweet, one salty) every day. It sort off feels like a visit to relatives: there is some clutter, dishes are hand washed, one has access to common kitchen, so the cleanliness sometimes suffers with bad guests. We stayed in annex 1/2 mile away (close to a bus stop). Full kitchen. Individually furnished means that you might love it or hate it, and not all amenities are in all rooms. But if you tell them your preferences, they will try to accommodate you. Overall it was choice for us.

It's a lovely property situated not too far from the airport. Lisha, the Host, was warm, friendly and welcoming. My room was clean and cozy, and the bed very comfortable. During my next visit to Fairbanks I know where I'll stay!

Highly recommend this amazing cozy stay! The staff works intimately with its patrons- as if you’re a family member. The rooms are like mini apartments with great WiFi while feeling like you’re in the woods. Great complimentary breakfast too. Loved my stay here, which included my family.

Our Family of four stayed three nights in a suite in early June. The outside looks somewhat old. But the rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff were super nice and friendly. The breakfast was impressive. Many attractions are nearby.

The couple that owed gables were so helpful and friendly couldn't do enough for me .the room was was warm and inviting and the jacuzzi bath was great nice view of the front garden ,walking distance to shop and restaurants ,she will give u a list of things to do restaurants to use while your there

Very friendly host. Cute cottage look. So quiet I got the best sleep ever. There was a massage chair available in living room & jacuzzi tub in my room & a delicious breakfast made it a perfect getaway retreat.

We liked how clean and cozy our room was, I like that our room has a big jacuzzi tub to relax in after a 12 hour shift.

I got a free upgrade to the Extended Stays... It was awesome!!! Full kitchen, Jacuzzi bath, heated floors!!! Can't think of a single complaint!!!

The property has a very quaint ambiance with cozy rooms and comfortable beds. The jacuzzi tub is amazing. Decent breakfast offering and the proprietor is so sweet and friendly. This is not a deluxe hotel, so if you want that, this is not for you. However if you want quiet, clean, comfortable, unique bed and breakfast, home like feel? This is the place for you. Will definitely stay here again.

Check - In - The Adamina is a self check in process via a keypad. A code is sent to you the day before. Very easy process. Was the suite clean - Yes, the suite was clean Were the beds were comfortable ? We had 1 Queen beds. and had no trouble sleeping. Shower - The shower was easy to operate, and pressure was good. Plenty of hot water. Was the environment quiet – We had no noise interrupt our sleep. Location – The Adamina is situated in a suburban street, 1 block off a main road. There is a bus stop 100m away. (No buses on weekends). It is a short stroll into town for shops and restaurants. The staff - This place is fully self contained, no staff on site. The Wi-Fi was included and speed was fast. General information - The Adamina has 2 levels. It has 1 suite and 4 rooms. We stayed in the Denali Suite, which has a full kitchen, private bathroom, bedroom, living room, dining room, & a full laundry. It was absolutely perfect. It is very well maintained. It has numerous restaurants close by. We stayed 5 nights here as part of a 2 month holiday. It was just a wonderful peaceful place to stay. Would I stay there again - ABSOLUTELY. The Denali Suite had every thing we needed. We highly recommend it.

It’s in a prime location: close to downtown and local restaurants. The property is clean, fairly new and well-maintained, and facilities are 100% functioning as intended! Stayed in Seward room. Lots of closet and wardrobe space to store belongings. Also lots of sockets in very convenient locations throughout the room. Loved that there was coffee maker, instant coffee, an array of teabag selections, electric kettle, microwave, and fridge! Neighborhood was also peaceful and quiet so you can get plenty of rest at night.

Amazing comfortable and clean, independent and with coffee service and all shower needs. It feels like home. Cozy and ordered and perfect. I saw northern lights from there very lightly.

Located not far from down town Fairbanks in a new home-like building our place was a second floor studio apartment with closet, separate bathroom, a counter with microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator. Nicely furnished with large 4-poster-bed, and couch, and was partially carpeted. Very clean and well supplied with towels and coffee. Access to facility and our apartment was with codes sent by the owner, Dan and Solo. It was very efficient. We thought the place was great and convenient and very well maintained and highly recommend the Inn. Interactions with owner was through email. There was no breakfast we bought our own and ate in our room. 6 nights in Fairbanks

I chose the Adamina because is near the river. I walked a few blocks to cross the river to find coffee shops, restaurants, museums and the walk along the river was peaceful and rewarding.

I liked everything! Such an amazing place! Definitely the best to stay in Fairbanks, so cozy and you really feel that you are in Alaska, wonderful design, I loved the pictures on the walls, stuffed animals and furniture, the rooms are so spacious, with big and comfy beds and pillows, big tv’s.I had also a night in a chalet outside wich is really spacious, comfy with everything you need and looks great! It was one of the best holidays I had, Alaska is special and this place also, so they fit the best together! Outside you have the nice restaurant with incredibly good menu and food, where you can also see the reindeer! Inside the hotel you can spend time in the library, movie theater, when it shows, you can also see the Aurora! Incredible place, I LOVED it! And I will always go back there if I will have the chance again, it was the best choice! Also the breakfast was consistent, for me sometimes was enough for the whole day, and there I’ve learned how to cook waffles 🧇😊 had the best time and I totally recommend it with all my ♥️ also the staff was nice, friendly and helpful! The location was perfect, for my tours, I’ve been always picked up from there, and when I had to go by myself it was quite near for most of the locations that you can visit.

The staff was extremely friendly & helpful from the first phone call to book the reservation. The rooms were clean, well appointed & rustic. The views of the river were wonderful! Nice extra touches from the s'mores kit in the tin to the 24/7 coffee available in the lobby. There's a nice hike across the river with great scenic views. The shuttle pick-up at the airport was prompt & friendly and the shuttle into town was reasonable and convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Pike's!!

I want to thank the lovely lady who upgraded my room — it made my stay extra special. I stayed in a room facing the beautiful Chena River, and I absolutely loved it! My room even had a mini balcony, which made it perfect for enjoying the peaceful river view. The lodge has so many great amenities that I actually found myself wanting to spend more time outside the room just to enjoy them all! I loved the theater, the Aurora Room, the mini observatory, the cozy fireplace, and the deck overlooking the river. Everything was relaxing and thoughtfully designed. This was one of the best stays I’ve ever had, and I’ll definitely be coming back again for sure!

Location to the airport was excellent, as were facilities offered. Convenient restaurant and bar on site. Amazing views of the river ( although frozen) and lots of outdoor relaxation areas. On site Aurora theatre was also a relaxing find. Airport shuttle service was amazing and the guys did a great job, with little to no wait time experienced. Pikes also offered complimentary hotel transfers to my next destination downtown. Truely excellent service. Would also like to mention Brian on the front desk - his professionalism, courtesy and friendly demeanour made my stay a pleasure. He is definitely an asset to the company. Would highly recommend staying at Pikes Waterfront Lodge. Hope to get back here one day.

Very good complimentary breakfast. Staff managing breakfast, in particular, Jody, were always so efficient, attentive and welcoming! Excellent and friendly airport shuttle driver. Reception staff was a bit mixed. Most were genuinely helpful, cheerful and friendly; a couple others, while not sub standard in service, just were not as warm and welcoming. Housekeeping, although limited in daily service, was excellent, too. Loved the complimentary coffee/tea at the lobby.

Staying at La Quinta Inn & Suites Fairbanks with kids was a delightful experience. The hotel provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making our family trip even more enjoyable. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with comfortable beds, ensuring a restful night after a day of exploring. One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast, which offered a variety of kid-friendly options, making mornings hassle-free. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always ready to offer recommendations for family-friendly attractions, such as the Fairbanks Ice Museum and local wildlife viewing spots. The hotel’s location was also a great advantage, with easy access to the airport, local restaurants, and key attractions. The combination of convenience, cleanliness, and excellent service made our stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites Fairbanks truly enjoyable and stress-free for the whole family.

Clean, quiet and conveniently located for our needs. Breakfast buffet had all the hot and cold items you could want. Winston was there to service us all who greeted us with a smile and a bright energy to help start our day. Only negative, cleaning staff timing could have been better. We were gone most of the time but are naps probably threw their cleaning schedules off but, even when we asked them to clean the room by 1, when we came in at 2, had to wait to get clean towels and coffee so our rooms were not properly serviced while we were there. Had to get our own coffee, towels, and toilet paper prior to the requested clean.

Each staff member was polite, friendly and greeted us with a smile from the pick up driver at the airport, to the front desk and the cook. The hotel is inviting, clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were amazingly soft and shower had great progress and heat. The breakfast was delicious. There were many hot food item choices and the cook, Winston, did a great job during our breakfast. - Robyn W.

Winston and Joey did fantastic breakfast and transport help. Winston used his quick and friendly humor to acquaint us with local events and venues, and steered us in the right direction for our several attractions and meal needs. From the time we landed, these two in particular were seemingly ever present and helping out. They made a favorable impression of Fairbanks for us that I doubt would have happened otherwise. Bedstand outlets and the computer tray table are helpful for tech devices. Temperature was well maintained. Added humidity in the winter would be helpful. I like having shower dispensers for soap and shampoo products, rather than fumbling with little bottles and hand soaps, thank you!! Extended breakfast hours for us weary aurora chasers was extremely appreciated, thanks so much!

Great hotel, but out of town, so Plan on getting a car or paying really expensive uber or Lyft fees. Very clean, quiet and updated. Take advantage of the fridge as the convenience store is pricey! Breakfast was great and they didn’t run out of any foods. They have a free specialty coffee bar that was a great surprise. Staff were all very nice and helpful.

We had the most amazing time staying here and Jill and Scott were fabulous hosts. The house itself is a piece of history - beautifully restored in victorian splendor. We had a grand tour and were able to use the gorgeous lounge. Our room was super comfy and had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing! It was different every day and was really delicious. Our lovely hosts provided so many great suggestions for restaurants and fun things to do that it made our trip to Fairbanks so memorable and we loved their company as well as other guests staying. The house is located easy walking distance to downtown and we usually walked to one of the great restaurant options for dinner. We plan to come back in summer to enjoy the porch swing. We will definitely be back in Fairbanks and will definatley try to stay here when we do.

This review is 5 stars only because we had Margo. Margo is an employee, she doesn’t own this B&B and she may or may not be there when you book it, so I would say this is a review qualifier. Margo was amazing, cooked the best breakfasts, provided all the information we needed, offered to drive us around, she does above and beyond her job at this hotel. She even went to the store to buy us specific dishes for breakfast. Never had that before in any B&B. This is a historic house, almost like a museum, where every room is decorated with antiques and where you can learn a lot about the history of Fairbanks and Alaska just from going from room to room. It is really fascinating. The decor is not modern, the bathrooms are old, but that’s the whole point. There is no TV anywhere in the house, but then again, there wasn’t a TV back in 1916 when this house was built. I would also say that the heating system is amazing. The kitchen is part of the public space here, which is unusual for a B&B, and that’s because no one lives here. It’s fully stocked with snacks and drinks and everything you need. We got special treats for our stay in our room as well, which had a fully functioning kitchen for our own private stay. The piano hasn’t been tuned since the Raegen administration, but did I say the house is full of antiques? Location is perfect, 2 minutes walking distance from downtown Fairbanks. Parking is not an issue unless the place is packed in the summer, but we’re there in September. The

This was a great choice for our accommodations. Unlike a typical hotel, the beautifully restored residence and interaction with owners Scott and Jill provided a personal experience that was central to our enjoyment of our trip. The breakfast each morning was wonderful and it was truly enjoyable to be able to chat with Scott and Jill about themselves, the history of the property and the area. Their knowledge of Alaska was extensive and provided an excellent basis for making the most of our first time there. We especially appreciated advice on ways to view the aurora, locations for optimal opportunity and their perspectives on how to approach the experience. Prior to our arrival, Scott reached out via text to provide every bit of information we needed to arrive and access the home easily (make sure to include your phone and email contact data in your reservation information as this advance briefing made it easy for them to anticipate our needs, timing and make sure we had immediate access as while they are located nearby, they are not always in site). Two of our three nights had no other guests in the house so we had the place to ourselves and in the third we enjoyed talking with and sharing experiences with the nice couple who arrived and joined us. Heating was radiant style, so it was comfortable without the blowing of forced air into the room, and all other utilities were fully modernized so the environment was excellent. Top notch all around and highly recommend.

Loved: beautifully restored historic home in historic location and truly centrally located. Amazing staff. Amazing. Excellent communication, easy check-in, beautifully appointed dining area for a wonderful breakfast experience. Gives you the “Alaskan experience.“ very comfortable home, very comfortable sleeping. Not so much: The only exception is The Bunker Room which is simply by reason of its location and there’s nothing to be done to mitigate the squeaking floors early in the morning. Wonderful, fantastic room but best chosen by early risers.

Very cool place to stay in Fairbanks -- loved the historical nature of the house and the coffee/candy bar amenities. It's walkable to downtown; the home itself is perfect! I know the owners can do nothing about this, but the surrounding area isn't as well manicured (some homes a little run down, overgrown lawns, etc) but I believe it's only appearances and it seemed safe when we walked downtown.

This hotel/resort was booked for us by Alaska Railroad as part of their Alaska by Daylight tour package. The resort is situated on the water, with a nice restaurant (overlooking the water) and a café adjacent to the lobby, used for breakfast. The rooms are actually several dozen cottages sprinkled throughout the property- a very nice change from the usual single building ‘hotel’. We ate dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, “Chena River Restaurant”. The food and service were both excellent! Nicolay was an extremely good, knowledgeable and friendly server. He took great care to address my wife’s food allergies. Thank you! They have a shuttle service for the airport and various excursions. They will also take you by the local Fred Meyers for last minute food items if you wish. Lucas was a very friendly driver- took us wherever we wanted to go and picked us up when we were ready to get back to the resort. Sally was very helpful with our airport pick-up. Unfortunately, she wasn’t so friendly after our Riverboat tour on the Chena River. Overall, we do recommend visiting the River’s Edge Resort for a unique experience.

Great Place! It is not the equal of the best hotels in CONUS - continental U.S. - but by Alaskan standards it is wonderful. If I used Alaskan standards, it would be a big 5+. The rooms are far more than adequate for a very comfortable stay, and being on the edge of the river makes them very pleasing, making for a very nice walk on the edge of the Chena River. The breakfast was very good and some might consider it expensive for what it is, but again you are in Alaska. Everything is more expensive in Alaska, not because of greed but because of the remoteness. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. They treated everyone the same, giving prompt attention to their customers and excellent service. The restaurant by the resort was a very pleasant experience for our very first meal in Alaska. We stayed three nights and would certainly stay there again if we return to Fairbanks.

When you're choosing accommodations via internet, you hope that you chose a "right fit" for you and your travel circumstances. River's Edge Resort did not disappoint. Number one requirement for my small group was shuttle service to/from the train depot and the airport. River's Edge went beyond this need and shuttled us to other tourist locations if within their timeframe and locale. This was huge in adding to our Fairbanks/Alaska experience. Number two item I was looking for was location. River's Edge is located on the Chena River. Such a beautiful area, especially to watch the kayakers go by. The Lodge and cabins are perfectly quaint, clean and well appointed. An outdoor patio at each cabin and at the lodge were an added bonus to enjoying the glorious Fairbanks weather. The grounds are easy to navigate. The hanging pots full of colorful flowers also added to our enjoyment, especially as we sat on the lodge veranda enjoying a light afternoon rain. Staff at the desk and shuttle service were so helpful and accommodating. Shout out to Dylan and Sally who became our "go-to" travel guides as we attempted to make full advantage of experiencing Fairbanks during the two days we were there.

Rivers Edge was a delightful place to stay, would have liked to stay longer! Our cabin overlooking the river was very peaceful - except for the motor boats that kept running the river until quite late. A city ordinance prohibiting this after 10 pm is called for. Otherwise, our room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable and the shower was good. All in all, a great place to stay! The Chena Grill has good food, although the portions are definitely enough for two!

It was easy to see that this resort was a premiere location previously. The multiple cabins were private and comfortably upgraded. The main building offered a delicious breakfast, a small gift shop, and a large patio. The resort is on the riverside as is the adjacent restaurant, which is spacious, offers a varied menu and is staffed by hard-working students from other countries, all of whom have interesting stories. We enjoyed our two night stay here and definitely recommend River’s Edge.

Everything except the restaurant team is amazing. We love staying here, but truly terrible service in the restaurant. Always takes 15-30 minutes just get greeted. Never friendly. Mediocre food. One even supervisor- young lady was the exception, she was quick and friendly the one one time we saw her. Front desk is always friendly and helpful. Clean rooms, great stay over service. Vending machines need replaced. We have donated a lot of money along with other guests to them.

Well-appointed, comfortable, clean room in the heart of Fairbanks. The breakfast buffet was hearty and fresh, and the staff were helpful and very professional. Great value for the money - better than most hotels in the city.

We stayed here for 3 nights arriving a couple of days early to tour Fairbanks. This is the hotel provided by Holland. The stay overall was fine. I had concerns from reviews I had previously read. Hotel room was clean and bed was comfortable. Nice lobby area, washer and dryer if you need to wash clothes before or after cruise. Nice gift store with specialty coffees. So staying here will be fine for those cruising. My only issue was breakfast provided. Although for breakfast it was simple and standard. It is buffet style. You pay $25 a person. Hotel is comparable to a Hampton Inn, which they offer more food choices and breakfast is provided with your stay. I understand a group as large as cruise passengers providing it for “free” is not feasible, however for what your choices were versus the costs. It just was disappointing and extremely overpriced. so be prepared for that. There is partial carpet in the bathrooms which is just ewe! The 5th floor hall had a terrible smell but it didn’t seep into the room. So if you’re concerned about staying there for a cruise package, don’t be. We’d still do it again. We rented a car for the time there and went out to some local great restaurants.

Comfortable beds. Room was large with space to spread out and a kitchenette. Night light in bathroom was a good idea. Onsite restaurant was convenient. Some staff very friendly and helpful, especially in restaurant.

The contintental breakfast was WONDERFUL!!! Lots of options for any diet. The service was lovely, I am dairy free and was brought oatmilk to my table. Timing perfect for our tours. The staff at the hotel were lovely. Great view of mountains from our room. Coffee shop was very accommodating and had many options plus lots of souvenirs. Holland America staff were so helpful AS were the Westmark staff. Really enjoying our time here. Very relaxed culture, clean rooms, just what we needed after a long day of air travel.

The hotel location was amazing. We were close to stores, restaurants, entertainment. My room was clean everyday. The breakfast was mediocre but i usually don't care for breakfast. Free parking onsite was a plus. Felt safe.

We have never seen such a clean property in the hospitality industry...Hotel North Pole is exceptionally clean, very accommodating, staff welcoming as if you are family, even on early check outs, staff willing to provide you something from the breakfast bar if desire. It has been wonderful in every stay during our transition of relocation! Thank you all for a wonderful room every time!

This property was modern, clean, and felt safe. The pictures posted online for the hotel are, frankly, horrible and misleading. They make the property appear old and unappealing, which it is not. We made this reservation as a last resort to attend a soccer tournament. No vacancies in Fairbanks. I was worried that this hotel would be undesirable. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a perfectly fine property. Do not be turned off by the terrible photos you will find within their advertisements; why do they do this to themselves? I was very pleased with the accommodations. The free breakfast was, however, lame - cereal, pastries, and coffee. Regardless. we were pleased overall. As for it being outside Fairbanks, don't sweat it. 10 minutes to downtown and there is no significant traffic. Thumbs up to Hotel North Pole. Thank you.

This hotel is well located in North Pole. Service was very good, friendly, helpful and kind staff. The only downside for us is the comfort of the bedding (pillows are flat and hard) and I love a pillowtop mattress which they do not use. Other than these items this place is worth it. I should mention that the area around the hotel felt safe and felt the vehicle was safe as well.

This was a surprise. With a two (2) stars rating, we were leary, but we wanted to stay out of town so we could see the aurora. We were pleasantly surprised by a super clean, super friendly hotel with everything we needed. The room was spotless and comfortable, the bathroom too, and we had all of the usual amenities. Great place to stay!

We stayed at Chicken Creek Cabin for 3 nights in mid March. Room was warm and cozy despite the very cold weather outside. Jim was friendly and helpful and definitely made effort to keep his guests healthy and safe amid this covid pandemic. The bath house was a short walk away and was kept clean and dry and I never had to wait to use it. Jim has been living there for more than 30 years and would be most willing to give tips and advice if you have any questions. Cabin was a short and easy drive from the airport and easy access to grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants. We specially came to see the Aurora and we were more than happy to see an amazing display of the Northern lights right outside our cabin, from our deck and even through our window!

Jim’s cabin was amazing. The room is warm and cozy, and has heater, fridge, coffee machine. It’s a perfect place near the pond. We got excellent views of the northern lights from the cabin (if u read about if u will realise, that there needs to be less light pollution) and Jim’s place is exactly suited for that. We got better views than Murphy done and enjoyed it cos we would get in and out cabin whenever we wanted to. 10/10 would recommend staying here. Bathrooms are shared but it’s just about 15 feet away, so it’s worth the views.

The place is very cozy. The pond view is amazing. The owners are super friendly and helpful. There is no utensils or stove so plan to eat out most of the time. Bathrooms and showers are separate from the cabin so in thw winter a shower will be an experience in it of it self. Overall great place to stay for 1 or 2 nights.

If you're up for a "roughing" it experience this is a great place. The cabin is cozy, the ceiling fan made it pretty comfortable. The bathroom/shower are private in that you're not showering/ using a sink/ with multiple people at the same time but it is still away from your cabin. Jim was very nice and was right there when we couldn't figure out how to lock the door. I thought we had breakfast for 2 days but there wasn't breakfast food in the freezer the 2nd day. Our bed wasn't made up after our first night but I think that was told us ahead of time. There is wifi but due to so many people logging on at night it was slow or unavailable. It was much better in the mornings. The pond was nice and added to the ambience of the experience. I wish there weren't so many mosquitoes so we could have sat on the porch and enjoyed the outdoors.

The owners were great. Very friendly and helpful. Jim gave us a tour of he ice fishing trailer which he operates in the winter. Cabins are small but fine for 2 people. Beds are twin but very comfortable. Breakfast is quick to prepare without any frills but satisfying. Only comment I would advise on is the bathroom and shower facilities are separate from the cabins and are for the community. I was there with my adult son and we had no problem with it. They were clean and in great shape. Better than some of the other places we stayed on our vacation.

We were here for a school drop-off for my daughter and booked because we saw this building was newly renovated. The breakfast had great food and helped us get started with days full of activity where we could return to a clean and friendly room to get some much-needed rest. The staff was helpful whenever we asked for anything which wasn't much since the facility was well-cared for.

The hotel looks brand new or newly renovated. Modern facilities, guest laundry and a nice breakfast. The bed was super comfy! Free parking was great. Staff were very helpful, especially the lovely receptionist with the reddish hair. when I asked if they did aurora wake up calls, even though it’s not something they do, they said they would! Very kind!

The front desk/ office staff was so welcoming. They answered every question I had kindly. The room was clean and neat. Being handicapped, I loved the handicap shower bars and bath mat. It is located close to the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital which was just perfect for me because that’s the reason I was in Fairbanks.

Was updated, close to the airport but way from the noise, hotel staff was friendly, only complaint, which they don’t have much control over as they renovated this from another hotel, but the walls are pretty paper thin, and there’s a gap between the door and floor that allowed a lot of foot traffic noise in. But otherwise it was a great stay, the fridge and microwave were convenient and it was nice to have the coffee and breakfast option in the morning.

Modern, clean rooms with all amenities for light travellers. Breakfast is super good and easy especially when you have early starts on tours. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. Across the road there are plenty of eateries and you can also order food delivery in the hotel.

My husband and I stayed at Sophie for our vacation this fall. It was beautiful. The room was great. The bathroom was absolutely my favorite. We booked a room with a jacuzzi tub, but the shower was also a dream. Two showerheads made for the most indulgent showers. The staff was very nice and the outside of the hotel was beautiful and clean. I loved the flowers and hanging baskets. The location is great too. It's close to many of the activities we chose to do as well as the airport and train station. I would definitely stay here again.

Sophie's Station in Fairbanks, AK is a wonderful place to stay with all the major features we require, for example it is a very safe, quiet, and clean hotel with Zach's restaurant serving delicious meals both at brunch and dinner hours. We saw locals coming in for both meals. The transportation both pickup at the Airport and when we left was on time and very friendly. Great place to stay. Staff were kind and helpful. Suites were comfortable, clean and well furnished except the couch and chair in the sitting area were not comfortable. Location was good but not great for traveling without a car. It was, however, close to the bus route. Busses were free for seniors, a plus, but did not run on the weekend. Not any place to eat close by except for fast food (Taco Bell). Safeway and Meyers were within easy walking distance. Zach's (restaurant) was nice but only open for supper while we were there. The staff were great. It was a bit noisy if many people were there and the menu were good but limited. I would like to have had more salmon and halibut options. Breakfast was provided and was ok. Fruit, yogurt, and breakfast burrito to be taken back to our room and heated to eat. Not much in the way of a lounge in the lobby area for visiting. It was definitely worth the price.

Comfortable and very clean rooms with lots of space and a full kitchen. There was a nice deck that you could sit on or leave the slider open for fresh air. The kitchen had a sink, microwave, coffee maker, stove, fridge/freezer and some dishes. The room was very clean. The furniture was a little out dated but in good condition.

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds. The double queen room has a nice table and 4 chairs. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are small and dated, but functional. We missed the cleaning day and had to ask for the garbage to be removed, which was done quickly. No breakfast, but good coffee in the lobby. Great location downtown, walking distance to shops and restaurants. River views. Quiet.

Room and bed/pillows were comfortable. Bathroom had walk-in shower which I like better than a tub/shower. View (West side) was very nice from the 5th floor (floors 3 & 4 are good, too but below that views are obstructed by a building). Not sure what the views to the East are like). Greatest assets of this property are location (easy to walk to points of interest/downtown area) and free shuttle (to airport, train station). BBQ restaurant (and other restaurants) nearby or within easy walking distance.

The staff members are friendly, helpful and kind. Nearby are restaurants and different shops. The area is safe. The hotel room is fabulous, warm and very comfortable. Although free breakfast is not provided, there is coffee and tea always available in the lobby.

We had a very good 1 night stay at the Bridgewater in Fairbanks, Alaska. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. 4 pillows on a king sized bed would have been appreciated as there were only 3. The hotel was located beside Big Daddy’s BBQ restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious early dinner. The Noodle House is located across from the hotel, which has excellent reviews. I am giving my review a 4 out of 5 stars as 1) there is no Breakfast served 2) we were not asked if we were members when we signed in. We arrived from Canada a bit tired and made an assumption that our membership number would come up when checked in. It was only after our check out the next morning that this error was discovered. Jude ( at the front desk) was patient and helpful. We are still unsure if my points were added to my file. We enjoyed the staff and we would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

This was a very nice hotel. The rooms were nice, beds were comfy and it was quiet. It is within walking distance of numerous restaurants and some shopping as well. The river is across the street and is very scenic. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed my stay and was a lone traveller so the facilities reminded of an 80’s motel and although a little outdated it was more than fine for me although some would prefer a more modern/fresh look. My partner would not have approved! Some furnishings were past their best. The staff were great, friendly and helpful and would do anything reasonable to accommodate your requirements. After all it is just somewhere to stay and like most of the US now the value has gone. If you need coffee machines and biscuits and jacuzzi baths then you shouldn’t book a room here! I personally would stay again but it’s not everyone’s taste.

The room was clean and close to the airport and has an airport shuttle to the hotel. The management and shuttle drivers were all friendly, professional and helpful. Continental-type breakfast also included. While it's not the fanciest, it's clean and comfortable, and the price was reasonable compared to others. I stayed here on two different occasions while in Fairbanks and would definitely stay here again.

Heather the front desk is very helpful the managers are awesome ! Great coffee and continental breakfast was great! Quiet and novody bothered me not even staff. The housekeepers and groundskeepers are also very helpful. Great place great people and great prices. Bible in the room made it feel peaceful and safe. Joe Druck.

The accomodations were very comfortable for the price. I stayed in room 312. The shower had a strange stain on the floor, which felt a little gross to step around / onto, but it was likely nothing that actually affected cleanliness, and it just offput me a little. The staff were very helpful, offering me recommendations of what to do during my stay, places to eat, and helping me shuttle to several nearby locations (a grocery store and car rental store) when I didn't have a rental car. The manager and Cameron were especially helpful with shuttles. If you don't have a ton to spend on accomodations, or would rather focus funds on experiences over super fancy accomodations, this hotel is a great choice! Breakfast was also enjoyable, and I ate a big chocolate muffin almost every morning.

Very clean, comfortable. Not huge, but perfect size to get a good nites rest. Quiet location, about 6 mins from airport. Nice mix of breakfast options. Very attentive staff and communication. Love places like this over big chains hotels. Nice family place.

My family of three stayed four nights in a comfort suite. The property was very clean, quiet, and spacious. It's a condo/apartment type of property. We stayed in September and the heating worked great for the entire place. The kitchen was well-equipped and clean.The beds and the sofas were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and well-stocked with necessities. There was a plenty of free-parking space available on-site. The highlight of the resort is its location, right by the Wedgewood Wildlife Sanctuary and Creamer's Field is a short walk away so it was great to have a leisurely walk and also make a nightly walk to view Northern Lights. It was also a short drive from Tanana Valley Farmers Market, downtown and Museum of the North. Supermarkets and other stores/restaurants are within one mile distance. My only complaint with the property is that it did not have an elevator for a three-floor walkup so it was a bit of a hassle to carry our luggage. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to coming back to the place.

We stayed mid-week for only three days and I think the property is usually used for longer stays. We were in the McKinley building- a very large 1 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, living room & dining room was very nice space to relax as it had two couches (one may have been a pullout we did not check). Two TV's as well- one in the bedroom & living room. The bathroom was not fancy but very clean and good water pressure which we really needed as we spent the previous week on a cruise ship with no pressure. We were on the first floor so no need to lug our bags up the stairs which was great. We did not see an elevator. We used the laundry room- $3 per load of washing or drying and surprisingly, the dryer was excellent and did the job in one go. We brought our own soap and dryer sheets so not sure of the cost, but there is laundry in only some of the buildings so we had to walk next door but not a big deal. The place was clean, spacious, and well maintained. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. This is a great value for a clean apartment in a fairly central location (close to most big streets / highways etc. Best part of the stay was wandering in the wildlife sanctuary on the property. All in all, a great place to stay in Fairbanks!

I had a wonderful stay at Wedgewood Resort! The rooms were exceptionally clean and very spacious, providing plenty of room to relax. I especially appreciated the full kitchen, which was well-equipped and perfect for reheating my restaurant leftovers. The accommodations made for a comfortable and convenient stay. The highlight of my stay was being able to see the Northern Lights one night right from my bedroom window—an unforgettable experience! I would definitely return!

We travelled as a couple to meet our son who has relocated to Fairbanks for 1 year. The Wedgewood Resort was the perfect place to stay. Easy check-in/check-out. Staff is amazing…Everyone we met, from the front desk, to the airport shuttle drivers, to the wonderful young man who brought extra coffee/paper towels to our room, was so warm and welcoming! Room was spacious and extremely clean. Highly recommend!!

A spacious, clean one-bedroom suite; impeccable gardening (I can only imagine how much effort went into); a memorable round-the lake trail - such a quiet, subdued beauty! But, the most memorable of all: the never ending Aurora light shows. We have been truly lucky to witness this amazing phenomenon, almost at a peak of unraveling solar cycle (September 2025).

This hotel was 5 star in every aspect. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The service here is over the top! I needed moisturizer and Laurita, the gift shop Mgr, took time to help me. The gift shop was packed with lots of people getting their morning coffee and pastries but she took the time to help. We asked a question at the Tour desk and Kyle and another lady helped us with a problem in no time. We had dinner in the bar, the food was delicious, service was great and perfect if you want a sandwich or light supper. Do not hesitate to book this hotel. It is a great place to start your Land Cruise with Holland American Cruise Lines. On to Denali! Thanks for everything!

Property was great. Room was great, restaurant inside was great (wish it offered more varieties to choose from, though), the hotel has a coffee shop inside much like Starbucks, has a souvenir shop that sells more than you probably wish for. All-in-all I would recommend this hotel. The only thing I was not thrilled about was the remote area it was in, away from Fairbanks downtown, but was perfect for walking around and reach other restaurants in the area. Also safe.

Very comfortable hotel, friendly staff, and gorgeous location on the river. We ended our land tour in Fairbanks and slept so well after all the travel of the prior few days. It's within walking distance of Pike's River Landing restaurant (terrific food and service) and we really loved the shuttle that took us around to explore Fairbanks before we flew back.

Very clean, small Princess Hotel, close to Fairbanks and the airport. Restaurants are good about average price for Alaska.Wifi was strong in the rooms and breakfast was very good too. Quiet for the time we stayed there, but didn't see any Northern lights Still a good start to our Alaskan vacation

This is such an amazing hotel! We are here with our company (have several rooms until next April) The manager is very professional, very nice and always helpful, and amazingly kind! We feel very safe here! The staff is also very welcoming, and friendly! I would recommend staying here!

The rooms were clean and stocked with the necessities as well as provided pots/pans/plates and silverware for the kitchenette. The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport and across the street from Fred Meyer. We stayed at this location for several months and we're constantly provided with clean sheets/Towels. What set this hotel apart is the staff. The Hotel Managers name is Robert and he truly has a passion for hospitality. Always greeting us with a smile, conversation and local recommendations. He takes a lot of pride in his position, the hotel and his staff and he cares about his guests. The Head Cleaning Lady's name is Brenda, and she is an Angel. She's hard working, friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. She would always check in with me to see if I needed anything and always went the extra mile to make sure I had things before I even thought to ask for them. The staff is what made our stay comfortable and the reason we would absolutely return.

First thing we noticed is the security at the front door. When first arriving, you pick up the phone to have the reception buzz you in - otherwise you use your card key to enter. That was a plus for us. The rooms are all kitchenettes which is great when staying for a few days. You can obtain any kitchen related items like dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster, hair dryer etc. at the front desk. This is a smart idea as some of these items disappear. The large laundry room was a plus. The beds are comfortable and great pillows. The location is perfect for us sightseeing and downtown. The hotel is in the flight path for Fairbanks International Airport - which we loved!!! The general manager, Bob, and staff are very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again!

Great stay. Clean room and common areas, comfortable beds. AC worked great (it was 87°F in Fairbanks when we arrived). Clean hot shower. The breakfast was above expectations. Staff was friendly and helpful. We’ll stay here again next time we’re in Fairbanks.

Front Desk Manager Rachel was very helpful, friendly and attentive to our needs. We enjoyed the wonderful hot and cold breakfast plus the comp bottled water. The wifi seems to be quite fast. The property corridors can use brighter lights plus the carpets needs to be updated. All in all, great value for the money. Will recommend. Thank you !!!

Very convenient location near the airport, shopping, and my son's house. Nothing fancy (that's a positive thing), just clean, quiet, modern, and all the conveniences. (Fridge, microwave, keurig coffee maker, ... ) And the super human staff took very good care of us.

Clean, comfortable - bedding was very nice (love quilts). "Typical" breakfast, nothing special but satisfactory. Fred Meyer and Safeway across the street if you wish to pick up a frozen dinner to microwave rather than going out to a restaurant. Website is misleading in that this location does not have an airport shuttle. Cab was $15.00.
