Would stay again. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and contemporary. Beds were comfortable. Great facilities gym, indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.

Clean, breakfast was very good, service excellent. Got a free upgrade to the jacuzzi room, best thing ever. Didn’t even expect this! Location in Faro is amazing. I highly recommend staying some days in Faro.

Beautiful luxury accommodations. We were upgraded to the jacuzzi suite, and we indulged after a long day of travel. Excellent food at the accompanying restaurant.

They left a lovely note in our room too congratulating us on getting married and a couple of glasses of free bubbly too...Awesome to have a jacuzzi/large bath too. Rooftop pool fabulous. It's a luxury boutique hotel with outdoor pool, but tucked away amid housing close to the airport. Once through the entrance gate it opens up into a luxury oasis. Everything felt brand new, immaculately clean and spacious. Large room, large comfy bed, great shower. Particularly enjoyed the warm welcome from the staff, their cheerfulness throughout our stay and 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude. Location is vey convenient for the airport and that's why we booked it - early flight the next day. Although there is a bus stop nearby leading to the airport and beach, we resorted to Uber for speed.

Just returned from an amazing weekend staying at the Ria Formosa. A short walk from the airport, ideal if you’re travelling light. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. We stayed in the Royal room, it went well above our expectations and the hot tub was lovely and clean. The breakfast was great value for money, everything was fresh and tasty. All in all an absolute hidden gem, can’t think of anything that could have been better and we will definitely be back! Thank you for making our mini holiday so lovely!

We really enjoyed our stay at the aria Formosa Guesthouse. It looks recently built or renovated with a modern and clean design. We used it as a stop over from a late arrival into Faro. It was close to the airport and easy to walk from the next morning to collect an airport car hire. We took a taxi who found it hard to locate at first. Checking Information was clear and included self checkin in case we arrived past midnight. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was inexpensive but delicious and included a wide spread. Our room was huge and had good views over the ria Formosa. I’d stay again!

Outstanding We stayed at Opus One for 2 nights, and it was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Intimate, private, beautiful, fantastic food and location. There's a great breakfast included, but you can also opt to have dinner as well. We had dinner there one night, and it was really special - delicious, and a wonderful atmosphere (they had a great singer-guitarist playing Spanish guitar). They've taken so much care and attention to creating something special - rooms for playing pool, relaxing, a little "library", plus outside there's a jacuzzi, pool, steam room and sauna, a bar and a wine cellar. I've never stayed anywhere quite like it.(I did copy this review as it summed up everything I wanted to say.) We are already booking for next year

Staying at The Opus was an outstanding experience which elevated the word ‘boutique’. Ideally located a few minutes walk from the centre of Faro with its wide selection of shops and restaurants, it provides an excellent level of customer care and attention to detail. The small team of staff are friendly and eager to be of service and the tapas breakfast was one of the best I have experienced. Homemade granola, pasties and a selection of local meats and cheeses all prepared individually for guests were delicious. The room was quiet and comfortable, very clean and well maintained. Two additional services are worth mentioning. First, they regularly hold evenings of traditional Portuguese music which are popular with guests and locals alike. Secondly, they offer private tours in a people carrier which can take you to local markets and towns. This is excellent value for money, as well as offering experiences that might otherwise be missed. While I was staying there, the Opus won an international award for being the best guest house. An award in my view richly deserved.

This is truly a hidden gem. The place is charming, the rooms are great, the staff welcoming and warm. The breakfast was fantastic. They made a dinner for us when we arrived late and asked where we might find some food. It was delicious. We ate dinner in town one night and then realized dinner at Opus One was SOOOO much better so ate there the rest of the time. Highly recommend!

The property is in a quiet residential area but close walking distance to the town centre. It’s beautifully presented with incredible facilities such as pool, spa and snooker table. There are communal lounge and dining areas, and the hosts were very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately there were no staff present when we arrived so we had to wait outside for 15 minutes. When the owner arrived she went out of her way to apologise and arranged free drinks while we were checked in, so I feel this was just an unavoidable mistake and not a regular problem. Our room was clean, well presented and had a small balcony overlooking the pool and spa area. At the end of our stay we arranged another booking for the end of our holiday as we were so happy with everything.

After reading reviews I was really unsure, but I can honestly say one of the best holidays I’ve had. Hotel is clean and really beautiful, rooms are really spacious and clean and have complementary bathroom basics and shampoo and conditioners. Only thing I would say it’s missing is a balcony :( The breakfast is really good lots to choose from and champagne breakfast every morning if you choose till 10am. No balcony’s on the rooms however the roof top bar and pool make up for this in spades a stunning and relaxing hotel . Pool is small but really nice, and only about 13 loungers however you never need to queue in the mornings , it’s really not busy and I was here peak season . Staff are super friendly also and attentive . The hotel is central to everything it’s a step away from every place you could think of to eat and also has amazing views of the harbour . Hotel also has a free bus to the private beach with parasols which is about 15 minutes away and is a great day out. This is a very relaxed and stress free holiday so peaceful and quiet I would definitely recommend and I will be back my new favourite hotel and destination

The hotel is modern, very minimalistic in the lobby and corridors but rooms are standard quality for 4* in UK. Clean, modern, furnishings in good repair, with a coffee machine (but if you want more than one coffee pod there's a charge unlike most places that refill the coffee pods for free) and a fridge. Two bottles of complimentary water in the fridge and if you wanted more from reception it was 3 euros but 2.50 from the vending machine by the lifts. One euro in the local shops, take your pick!. Bed was a bit on the firm side but there was a comfy chair in the room and the bathroom was good with Rituals shower gel, soap etc and a decent shower. The room wasn't serviced until late afternoon all 4 days we were there; not really an issue unless you plan to spend time in the room, but no need for that when there's a really nice terrace bar where you can get drinks, snacks, tea and coffee all day. Breakfasts were good, with a range of fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, pastries, breads, cheese and hams, and cooked items kept warm on the buffet area. Something there for most tastes. Our room was at the side of the hotel on the first floor and there was some noise from people partying outside, but not excessive for a good city centre location. Loads of places nearby to eat and get a coffee and there's a great little mini-mart 3 minutes walk away.

Very good hotel. Location is excellent - just by the marina, close to the airport, plenty of shops and restaurants around. Greate area to walk around in spare time. I appreciate that bed was one, double mattress (instead of two singles pushed together. It was comfy and I had good sleep. There was bathrobe and slippers provided which I also enjoyed. Other than that there was coffee machine, capsules and water provided. Mini fridge with items at additional cost. I missed tea though. There was safe in the closet and extra pillows and blankets. Plenty space on bedisde tables. In the bathroom I had bathtub and bidet. Lovely Rituals cosmetics - body lotion, conditioner, soap bars and liquid soap and shower gel in large dispensers. There was also vanity kit and shower cap. I was working throughout my stay - table in the room was large, chair was comfy, no issues with wifi. I appreciate therewere plenty tv channels in english to enjoy before bed. Breakfast was very good - pastries, breads, fresh fruit, ommlets, juices, great cheese, etc. Really nice. As I was working, I was allowed to take it to my room. Staff was always nice and helpful. I was checking in just before midnight with no issues. I left my luggage after checking out and before my train. There is gym and sauna/steam room but I didn't have a chance to use it. All in all I would recommend this hotel

Central location so perfect from getting the number 16 from the airport to the hotel. Best hotel in the marina area. Near all the shops, restaurants and bars. Clean and tidy, great staff and breakfast really lovely. Rooms were big too. Rooftop areas so lovely with bar and dip pool and restaurant. Private bus which you book through reception to the beach area was a lovely touch. Do recommend getting the ferry too to the beach as an experience through the marshes, located next to the yellow building at the marina! Beach was Praia de Faro and stunning. Taxi back booked at the hotel was around 20 euros so not far at all! The sunsets at the marina were amazing!

The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly, helpful and professional. Great lication The only thing I would change is the evening meal on the half board deal..It was a set menu dinner, I would have preferred a buffet dinner as for the breakfast buffet.

Loved this hotel ..staff were excellent very friendly and helpful.The location was amazing right in the Marina book a marina view room if possible, the room size was perfect with a large balcony with table and chairs.Bed was comfortable with good pillows and good bed linen very good shower.The breakfast was amazing a huge choice something for everyone and more a lovely touch was a fresh flower presented to the women at breakfast.The pool area was very good only quibble here was the ladders into pool were a bit old and wobbly otherwise a fantastic hotel and would definitely stay again if ever in Faro.Thank you also for the bottle of wine a lovely gesture and much appreciated.

This hotel was great. Lovely breakfast options, modern room with a comfortable bed and big balcony. The hotel was very clean and we loved the views from the rooftop restaurant/bar. We particularly liked the rooftop pool/bar with views over the city and the national park. You cannot fault the staff, every single staff member was so friendly and informative, service with a smile. They really made our stay :)

Just returned once again from this exceptional hotel by the beautiful Faro Marina. This hotel never disappoints rooms are extremely modern and spotless. we had a marina balcony room with stunning views over the Marina and beyond to the Rio Formosa. Breakfast is plentiful on the top floor, once again, breathtaking views. Staff as always friendly and helpful a big thank you to you all, especially at the Rooftop Eva and the other bars at the Hotel. The rooftop pool is a must for relaxation and faultless service. Highly recommend you visit,we will return.

Wonderful Birthday Stay - Truely Special! Stayed for one night before heading to Porto to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday and was absolutely blown away by the experience. We used the hotel's private transfer from the Airport, which was smooth, professional, and a great way to start the stay. The hotel kindly upgraded us to a suite as a birthday treat, compete with Prosecco and fresh fruit waiting in the the room - such a lovely suprise! The suite was beautiful, spacious, with a balcony overlooking the city and the harbour, and was spotlessly clean. A huge thank you to Rueben for going above and beyond - his warm and attentive service made the stay even more memorable. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend for a special occassion or just a luxurious getaway,

The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. It seemed like nothing was too much for them. A big thank you especially to Guilherme in the Senses Bar on the 5th Floor. He was brilliant. Also the lady in the Spa was exceptional. So welcoming and helped us to select the right treatment for our needs. Very relaxing area by the indoor pool. Towels are available from reception for a cash deposit which was refunded immediately on return of the towels. We were upgraded which was a lovely surprise. Breakfast buffet had plenty of choice for all tastes.

This was my second time staying here, as I had such a great experience last time (March 2019) as well. My brother and I stayed from the 15th - 19th ofJuly 2024. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. They all went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The reception staff, especially Claudia, Alexandra, Rute and Yoao were fantastic! On behalf of my brother and I we really appreciated them. The hotel was lovely and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very comfortable with air conditioning. The hotel bar area was a nice place to relax and their was great Wi-Fi coverage. The hotel location is good. It was a 10 minute walk to the marina and town centre. We have recommended this hotel to our family and friends.

My friend and I came to Faro for a weekend get away. We arrived too early to check in, but the receptionist recommended a great cafe for breakfast and a few places to visit before check in. Upon check in, the room was neat and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. There's a small coffee/bar where in the evening I would have a glass of wine. The hotel exceeded my expectations. Also very close walk down to the marina. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great value! 😊 I will be back!

Conveniently located short walking distance from town in a quiet location. Quick check in with friendly and helpful staff. Room and bathroom good size and very clean and comfortable. Was one of my more enjoyable stays in Faro and would stay again.

Clean and modern room, quiet small but did the job, room actually had four bed bunk bed then a seperate room with double bed, small bathroom and small balcony, was therefore spacious for jsut myself but wud be quite tight for four people, staff friendly, no complaints, check out as late as 12 which was nice and breakfast was nice, food fresh and enjoyable.

The breakfast was self service, good variety to start the day and not hurried. Location was within a 5 minute walk of the train and coach station. Really helpful staff, very clean room with a balcony. Effective air conditioner which quickly cooled the room. Although on a fairly well used road, the noise was muffled by the insulated patio door. The pillows and the bed were really comfortable. The lift was helpful to move luggage to and from the room. Shower room was spotless and the shower a decent size. No disturbing nightlife/nightclub noise. Really recommend this hotel for solo travelers - I would book it again for a short stay.

Super clean room upon arrival. The hotel itself felt very relaxed and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of food and drinks. The hotel is very central which allowed us to acsess tons of activities and restaurants by foot. Staff were very helpful. I left some feedback about the breakfast on a google form asking for some sauces and the next day they were there! Staff were very attentive. We couldn’t be happier with our stay. Thank you so much!!

Very convenient for our stopover. Clean spacious room & comfortable bed. Nice hot shower. Breakfast was very good & worth paying for. All the staff were extremely helpful & polite. My only complaint is that the room was noisy. We were next to the reception & noise carried to the room. In the morning we could hear the cleaning from about 6am and preparation in the breakfast room.

Extremally helpful and amazing hotel staff that helped us immediately in difficult situation. Our phone got stuck behind toilet, the manager arranged craftsmen to come early morning and we got the phone back in 15 min. Amazing customer support. It really saved our day and stay. Amazing location, 10 min from Old Town, 3 min from the bus stop from where you can go to the Praia de Faro beach as well as to the airport. 20 min by bus to the beach and 15 to airport. Room interior is simple but it includes all that is needed for a few days stay. Hairdryer, towels, small cosmetics, small desk....all is there. We did not try breakfast but it looked quite well and was at a reasonable price. Hotel has patio, where guests can seat and eat breakfast. Hotel provided free of charge beach towels, which you can exchange each day. You can leave bag in a storage room after check out time and your travel time. 3 min from the hotel there are 2 restaurants serving fresh seafood.

The location was great - about 5 mins walk to the train station, restaurants and the shops! The 24 hour reception was brilliant and we were welcomed whatever time of day/evening it was - the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our suitcases in a room at reception and go to the beach whilst we were waiting to check in - we were even offered beach towels to take with us! The hotel's reception area was immaculate as was our room. Stayed for 1 night at beginning of our holiday and 1 night at the end of our stay! The first room was overlooking the front of hotel and was a little compact but was fine for 1 nights stay but the room we had at end of our stay was overlooking the court yard and was much bigger and quieter but both were immaculate We had breakfast on the first day which was amazing - the choice was excellent and everything was so fresh and well laid out and we could eat in the breakfast room or out in the court yard - once again ver helpful staff.

We didn't have too much expectations as the hotel is rated two stars, but we had a very pleasant surprise. The location is perfect, the centre is basically just down the road. The room we got was spacious with a balcony to the inner "garden" part, it was quiet regardless of the location of the hotel. The room was clean, the bathroom was big with all the toiletries you might need. We did not book breakfast with the room, but we were able to pay for it whenever we decided to have one in the hotel. Plenty of food to choose from as it is a buffet style. I personally liked the continental, but my partner had eggs with bacon/sausage. The reception staff was very helpful, we could even get beach towel when we asked for it. They answered any questions we had. They were even nice when we checked in before check-in time. They cleaned every day, but we didn't want that, but every time we needed to change something the housekeepers kindly catered us.

breakfast had a good choice in a very light clean airy room. the location was perfect for bar and restaurants and the train station and the room had everything you require eg air con tv shower.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was immaculate, comfortable and clean. I appreciated air conditioning and comfortable bed. The central courtyard my room faced was sweet.

The Lemon Tree Stay is a delightful property fully embracing the lemon tree theme, from the shade of the lemon tree in the courtyard where a delicious breakfast is served, to handmade lemon soap in the room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee freely available in a small kitchen with an honesty bar (water, beer, red and white wine, and ice cream). Location in the centre very quiet and a short (10 min or less) walk to the Old Town, harbour, and other tourist attractions. Roof top terrace completed a delightful experience. Highly recommended.

Perfect location in Faro next to restaurants and shopping but still quiet at night. The property is very cute with a rooftop. Issa was very helpful she served us coffee and cake when she checked us in and gave us a bunch of suggestions on a map. There's free bikes to rent as well. The breakfast was amazing I highly recommend staying here if you're in town!

Centrally located within easy walking distance of central Faro. Exceptionally helpful hosts who advised on where to eat and drink and were happy to book the more popular venues. The European breakfast each morning was excellent and we made full use of the 'honesty bar' and roof top areas in the evenings. Super room with comfortable bed and wonderful shower. Wouldn't consider anywhere else if returning to Faro.

We loved our stay at The Lemon Tree, sadly only overnight; the staff are lovely, friendly and attentive, and the property is beautiful, quirky and welcoming . Comfortable rooms, and a delicious, plentiful breakfast. We’ll be back😊!

Although only stayed for one night after we arrived late it was lovely and close to the airport which was lovely and convenient. The rooms was also really nice and modern. Being that we were only down the road from the airport, it was a very quiet and peaceful night as you could not hear any plans coming or departing while the door to the balcony was closed. Can’t comment on the facilities as we didn’t use them but we did see the swimming pool as we left in the morning. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again for the convenience and comfort.

The location. Of this property is perfect for an over night stay before an early flight or a late flight arriving. It’s very easy to get from the airport to the hotel. It’s only a 10 minute walk .The room we had was fine and spacious , very clean and comfortable . We also had a very big balcony which was nice. As we only stayed the one night we didn use the pool or have brekkie the following morning so can’t comment on those. However I will say the staff were very very friendly and welcoming .

A very welcoming, basic but quaint (has all you'll need for a night or 2) easy place to stay, before flying home from Faro. An easy 10 min walk from the airport with a supermarket pretty much next door. The hotel has friendly, helpful staff and the double room was decent and clean, with a clean bathroom and good shower and a balcony. It even has a pool! Recommended!

Friendly staff in reception. Excellent parking right in front of the hotel. Lovely swimming pool and surrounding terrace. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious with a little balcony. The whole place is very clean. It's a 10 minute walk from the hotel to the airport terminal. We found all the staff very pleasant and helpful.

Staff amazing, Room spotless, Close to airport, outside area amazing couldn't ask for more. Good position sun all day in the pool area very clean outside area as well. In case of going early and need to wait for a check in amazing lockers area and it's amazing the fact you can use the facilities even before a check in

The best thing about this hotel was the kindness of the staff. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and did all they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I had an issue with my room which had a loud humming noise which would have kept me awake. The manager, Ricardo, was very kind and understanding and moved me to another room where there was no humming. For people who don't sleep well, you would ideally ask for a room away from the lift and stairwell as this area could be noisy with slamming doors, people talking, lift going up and down, but away from the stairwell it was quiet. The room was cleaned daily by super kind and friendly people and the people serving breakfast were super helpful too. The breakfast was very nice - as described by others - cereal, bread, cheese, yoghurts, fruit, tea and coffee. It was also possible to book a massage as there is a woman who visits the hotel to offer this service in one of the rooms, which was divine. Just what we needed to help us wind down into the holiday. The location is within 10 minutes walk of all the main areas in the town - marina/ferry departure, cathedral, museums, bars, restaurants. You can get a ferry to Faro beach for 4 euros return and it goes every hour or so (more frequently as the season picks up). We also did a boat trip with Lands Eco Boat Tours, around the local nature reserve which is highly recommended. This isn't a luxury hotel but for the price it is worthy of 5 stars!

The hotel is situated less than 10 minutes from the old town and the large pedestrian area which houses numerous bars and restaurants. It was a very quick 15 euro taxi ride from the airport to the hotel no need to pay expensive private transfers. The hotel staff booked the return taxi for us after our 3 night stay. The room was clean and tidy with a decent sized walk in shower. The decor is in need of attention and there were no in room tea and coffee making facilities. The roof top bar opened daily at 4pm and gives views over the city. It was very quiet whilst we were there but it is well worth using and would benefit from the hotel advertising it more. We did not have breakfast but there are an umber of cafes directly outside of the hotel. The staff were friendly and knew a great deal about the city and the transport systems. We would use this hotel again if we were to revisit the city.

We ended up at the Faro Boutique Hotel after being unable to land in Madeira and being dropped in Faro. It was short notice, trying to find something as we were getting off the plane and somewhere that could take 12 of us. The staff were very pleasant and the hotel was ok. The rooftop bar was amazing, so peaceful and perfect for lying in the sun with a cold beer, there’s no pool though. They had a rooftop festival in Faro that weekend, with lots of rooftop bars taking part. Our bar had Jazz and Blues music and we got the chance to take part in building up a song from nothing. It was my favourite part of the break. Faro centre itself isn’t amazing but this hotel and location are a perfect starting point to all the trips on offer. There was a self service continental breakfast, which was more than adequate and the rooms were cleaned every day. If I ever go back to Faro I would stay here again.

The hotel checked every box we had when looking to book our Faro stay. Location is within walking distance from town center and the best places to visit, both bus and train station as well as bars and restaurants. Room was clean and we loved the fact that we had a coffee machine with a couple of coffee pods. There is also a coffee lounge near reception, prices are ridiculously cheap - €1 euro for a black americano and €0.8 for an espresso. Not to mention that the coffee was somewhat better than the ones we had out. Ricardo and the team have been incredibly helpful and we would like to once again thank them for making our stay so pleasant.

The hotel was very central and within walking distance of the all the main areas of the city. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was compact and very comfortable. It had everything I needed including a good shower, TV with lots of channels in many languages, a safe, fridge, air conditioning and a small balcony with table and chairs. Breakfast was continental with a good selection of tasty and freshly baked items. A good value hotel and I would definitely stay again.

Lovely boutique hotel located on the right hand side of the Hotel Faro walk up the pedestrian area for 1 min hotel on right. Very large comfortable bed and pillows( extra ones available). Sea view with lovely small balcony (304 Great room ).Double wardrobes, desk TV free safe nice lighting.Seperate modern shower room plus sink/toilet .Free safe. Lift offers great accessibility for small boutique hotel. Great staff Tiago was very helpful. Best location next to shops resteraunts etc next to Hotel Faro( which has lovely rooftop bar to watch sunset) and great value for money .Will definitely return . Only negative is issues with wifi.

Everything. The staff were amazing especially the co owner brothers that look like twins. Juan was extremely pleasant and helpful. The food was the best we had in our trip. Fabulous seabass, beautifully cooked, large fish, and very very reasonably priced at 15 euro including veg and potatoes. The restaurant had silver service, white linen tablecloths, indoor and out door seating. Also a superb range of interesting alcoholic beverages reasonably priced. Juan was most helpful and friendly. Our room was airy and large with super big bed and Fabulous power shower large bathroom. I could not fault it and location was just perfect beside old town, shopping district, restaurant street, Port with ferry to Faro Beach and 10 euro taxi from Airport. I would definitely stay here again.

Neat and Clean Hotel in an excellent location. The room was neat and big. The bathroom was massive. The marina is just opposite the street. All local shopping and restaurants are all around. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. The restaurant in the hotel is also run by the same family, and they insisted that i dont pay for the coffee i had in the restaurant. I had an issue with the wifi and the owner got it fixed in a short time. Highly recommended for the location, and friendly attitude of the owners.

Central location near marina and old town was great. Quiet at night and plenty of room. Staff friendly and restaurant downstairs is useful for breakfast,tea and coffee. Clean, comfortable and good value.

The hotel was clean and the room we stayed in was a great size. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close by. The walk to the ferry for the beach was only a few minutes. Great stay and would recommend.

Very happy with our stay at the Hotel Monaco. A short drive to the lovely old town of Faro and within walking distance to local bars and restaurants. All members of staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. Excellent unlimited continental breakfast served till eleven and convenient checkout of midday. Parking outside the hotel. Bar and restaurant available from half three till half eleven. Swimming pool and garden area a big plus. Very handy for the airport.

Friendly staff easy check in / check out at 6 am, they offered take away breakfast because of my early check out. Clean, good quality bedding. Nice snack bar open late, fresh snacks, friendly bar staff.

The staff was very friendly and they were able to speak English so that we could communicate back and forth. The rooms were absolutely clean and spotless and I stayed there a year ago in 2024. I would highly recommend this location even though it is a ways away from downtown. But if you're able to walk about 4 miles each way you can get there without having to pay a cab. The pool is clean and the breakfast were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend going to this location if you're visiting Faro.

After a late flight to Faro airport, the hotel was easy to get to and close by.The reception staff were welcoming and friendly. We only stayed one night but the rooms were comfortable and clean with an excellent buffet breakfast the following morning. Would definitely stay again.

Good central location and really friendly staff. Our room was comfortable and clean with a huge balcony. Despite being central, it wasn’t noisy and we slept well. There is a good selection for breakfast, we enjoyed freshly squeezed orange juice every morning. The staff worked hard to keep topping items up and everything was clean and tidy. It is very good value for money.

First of all I cannot believe some of the terrible reviews this place has had. It is a budget style hotel but it is modern, clean and functional and I was pleasantly surprised when I got to my room. Modern, smart with a lovely big king size bed with crisp white linen. Nice bathroom with a bath and shower. Also a modern, efficient air-con unit. The staff were friendly and the buffet breakfast was perfectly acceptable for €10. Lastly the hotel has a great location in the city centre and is walking distance to everything. Recommended.

Lovely, very clean otel. Small but perfecly formed twin room. Can't thank the Staff enough for accommodating us with an early check-in (normally 16:00hrs local time) Breakfast was of good quality and a choice of hot or cold buffet as well as cereals, breads and pastries. All Staff within the hotel are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. If we had one negative - and this would be us being hyper critical - it would be the ensuite. It's a little tight. The shower door in the en-suite didn't close properly and the floor became a small pond when showering. The space between the shower cubicle and vanity unit is a bit tight for the toilet. However, as two small people, we managed fine. The Hotel itself is very central and the longer we stayed, the more convienient we realised it was for getting around Faro, being within walking distance to the bus station, train station and the marina.

Great room, big with a huge balcony. Bed was large and very comfortable. Big bathroom, shower was very good. Breakfast was great, good range. All staff were really friendly particularly the woman supervising breakfast. Location is great, quiet despite being near plenty of places to eat nearby. Check in online (urged to by repeated emails) worked fine, but couldn't validate check in and get key to my mobile, so had to do this at reception and get a key card (which was probably easier and better!)

Great hotel, within 10-15 mins walking distance to Faro Old Town, Marina and bus/train station, very near shopping street. Perfect for overnight stays, super convenient location. Room was large, spacious double bed with comfy mattress, duvet and included towels/toiletries, tea/coffee/kettle, and good Wifi. Everything looks newly refurbished, very clean, light and airy. I had a really nice welcome by hotel staff on arrival, i would recommend staying to any traveller.

From 2 weary Travellers stranded. It turned out a great little find. The Hotel although a little old and worn was spotless, i mean spotless, i have stayed in 4 star hotels not as clean as this place, The breakfast was great and catered for most tastes, fresh breads, meats, fruit, yoghut, as well as hot foods, The rooms have aircon, TV & Fridge. Although they dont have evening Meal the staff informed us of a great restaurant about 3min walk away, communal areas and bar were clean and comfy, shows you should never judge a book by its cover. Great value for money

Soap and shampoo in rooms provided and smelt amazing The beds were super comfy and the rooms were spotless Decent view of faro out of the window . The sunset in the morning was great . Perfect cool air conditioning in the rooms . If I was ever staying in faro again I would 100% use Alnacir.

Such an amazing location, just a few minutes to get to old town and close to shopping centre too and beach. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Solo female traveller and always felt safe around the area and coming back late. Bedroom was old but spotless, so good for the price!

The hotel staff, especially Carlos, were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the main tourist area with lots of restaurants and cafés. The breakfast was basic but fine, the coffee was great, checkout at 12:00 was perfect for us, and the Wi-Fi was fast. Honestly, we can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

Amazing staff tried their best to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was pre-packed because of Covid restrictions but chief was very helpful with picking up some tasty extras. Location is close to tourists landmarks and surprisingly quiet.

Really liked this hotel. It was clean and comfortable and the pool was a bonus. The breakfast was substantial and had many choices. The beds were of good quality. The staff were friendly and polite and very helpful. The only thing missing for me was tea and coffee making facilities in the room. I thought the hotel was really good value and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Loved the chance to relax by the pool at the end of a long day driving. Plenty of parking in the forecourt. Our room on the first floor was spotlessly clean but Im not sure we like the Ibis mattress system as it moved off the base easily. A very basic breakfast is available from 4am which was perfect for our very early flight. The huge modern shopping complex about a 20 minute walk from the hotel was a bonus as it offered a large restaurant area with many dinner options.

We chise thus hotel as it was close to airport, 5 minutes by car. No restaurants in the area but i would say their restaurant, although food is prepared in advance, was very delicious and looked like freshly made. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A couple of things are, rooms are very small but easy to move around, bed pillows may need to be changed as they are like airplane pillows, small and thin.....overall a good experience at this hotel.

Clean basic bedroom, reasonably comfortable. Small TV with plenty of freeview channels and adequate sockets for recharging own devices. No tea/coffee in room. In-house restaurant & bar - basic menu, quite expensive for pre-prepared meals. Near airport, so good as a stopover. Nice outside seating area with small swimming pool.

Small room with space to open only one carry-on suitcase at a time but inexpensive and had everything we needed for a night before catching an early flight, including a comfortable bed and a very nice shower with good water pressure. Efficient staff. Short Uber ride to the Old Town and waterfront for a peaceful walk and a wonderful meal at Santa Maria Petiscaria. The hotel and restaurant turned a dreaded quick stopover in Faro to catch a morning flight into a great evening and a highlight of our trip.

Claudia met me when I arrived and was so helpful and friendly, giving me advice on places to visit / eat etc as well as cycling route as I was on a cycling trip (good bicycle storage here too and she provided me with a hose to clean my bike). The studio apartment was lovely, absolutely spotless, nicely designed, cosy, comfortable and quiet. Great shower and everything I needed plus a gift of cookies and some delicious local oranges. The apartments open onto a lovely peaceful courtyard with seating areas and I had a balcony too. There is a washing machine and dryer which was really handy. Great location too. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Faro. Perfect stay!

Amazing apartment, very spacious and clean, quiet, perfect for 4 people. 1 big bedroom, 1 a bit smaller, big bathroom with large shower and extra toilet, well equipped open kitchen, big living room, large terrace. The apartment is conveniently furnished for 4 people, 6 could be a stretch. Airco in bedrooms and living room. Bedroom window shutters keep out all light if you want. Nicely decorated, we really felt at home. Gorgeous courtyard for shared use, easily accessible from the apartment. Lovely host who welcomed us with a big smile although our flight was somewhat delayed, very helpful and kind; she gave great suggestions for restaurants and trips and made some calls on our behalf to book tours. Location is perfect for exploring Faro on foot and the greater region with private or public transport. Plenty of restaurants in 5-10 min walking distance, supermarket and groceries shop within 100m. Highly recommended!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cardeal Apartments, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience. The accommodations at Cardeal were perfect and we had no complaints. We only stayed 2 nights but could have easily stayed longer and been very comfortable. Don't let some of the surrounding buildings concern you as inside the accommodations are very clean and modern. So far Cardeal has had the best shower in Portugal. The bathroom also had an electric outlet so you could dry your hair and get ready with ease (this has not been our experience so far in Portugal) so that alone was a huge bonus. The location is about 2 blocks from old town so was quiet at night but super close to be in the heart of where you want to be. There is a pastry shop about a block away that had great coffee and pastries (must try pastel de Faro (it's pastel de nata on steroids and is really good)) at below reasonable prices. Parking was only 3 euro per day (make sure you indicate if you need this when booking your reservation; we didn't know this step was needed but we were fortunate to be able to get a spot regardless). The beds are very firm which my husband loved. Claudia and her staff were all amazing and very helpful with suggestions for dinner and sites to see. Highly recommend Cardeal for your time in Faro.
