Very nice room, fit 4 adults comfortably, great beds & sleep. Ski right to the hotel and walk out in ski boots to catch first chair. Tasty restaurant, get there before the morning breakfast rush though. Ice bar was fun. Bigger hottub or a sauna would have been nice. Staff was very accomodating and facilitated an early check-in for our party. Thank you.

We enjoyed staying at the Lizard Creek Lodge with 3 generations of my family last week! The suites were spotless with amazing views, beds were super comfortable, the on-site restaurant foods were so delicious! Every staff was extremely friendly and helpful! We hiked to the nearby waterfall, visited a natural hot spring, golfed at 3 different beautiful golf courses, and took an exciting mountain bike trip. After day trips, we relax in the pool and hot tubs, enjoying the great views. Thank you Lizard Creek Lodge management team and all the staff! You made our family reunion an unforgettable experience!!

Great stay! Clean, cosy, comfortable! The restaurant on site is wonderful! We had great signature cocktails and asked the bartender to make one of her favourites and it was great! Food was tasty! Staff was super friendly The bed was very firm so not my cup of tea but the duvet was cosy. A little disappointed because we stayed in a 1 bedroom with loft and our friends did too and theirs was double the size of ours! Wild! Regardless we had a great time and the outdoor pool was one the the highlights!!

This is a perfect ski hotel. The location is ideal and the free shuttle is a huge bonus. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The big hot tub was clean and so enjoyable after a long ski day. There were many extra amenities - fresh hot coffee all day, a large well equipped kitchen to cook meals if desired, free laundry access. And the room was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the river. We will definitely return here when back in Fernie.

Although they are experiencing staff shortages like everywhere else, you wouldn't know it! The staff were welcoming, responsive and professional. Din Din and Shajit were excellent and helpful every time we had a question. The room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet with more space than you would normally find in a room with two queen beds. We were two adults and two kids and felt like we had lots of space. Despite being located on the main highway in Fernie we never heard any traffic noise. The hotel sells vouchers for discounted breakfast at Smitty's (which is about 100 feet away) and it was a pretty good deal. The hotel is also very environmentally conscious which we appreciated. We will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to our friends and family.

Family of 5 here (3 elementary school aged kids). We messed up a booking with one of the larger properties in Fernie, and ended up at the Fernie Fox last-minute because it was the only property with availability for our dates. We were really pleasantly surprised with the Fernie Fox and would absolutely stay there again. It was clean, comfortable, and great value. Very friendly staff. Lovely patio with BBQ and nice view of mountains. Easy walk to downtown. The property is super eco-friendly. There was plenty of room for the roll-away bed in the room. Recommend.

My family enjoyed our stay at Park Place Lodge. The king sized bed and bedding was great, the pullout was older and somewhat uncomfortable but that’s how they usually are. The breakfast was good and the pool and hottub were great.

Rooms were super clean, beds were unbelievably comfy - ended up almost sleeping in until checkout, don’t even sleep that good at home! The deck had amazing views with beautiful flowers right out front. We thought the breakfast was going to be the usual cereal fruit etc but it was a hearty complimentary breakfast from their restaurant. Food tasted delicious! We were very impressed with this hotel and would 10/10 stay again. Staff were extremely friendly and available. Cheers!

After reading the positive reviews on this hotel I was hopeful our experience would be the same for our one night stay. I was not disappointed! Upon arrival I was greeted by James and after explaining we no longer needed a pet friendly room he reached out to his manager who gave us an upgrade to the 2nd floor (pool facing 2 Queen bed room). I didnt ask for it, it was offered with enthusiasm. The room was delightful with a separate mini kitchen area (sink/micro/fridge) right beside the external balcony door - yes there's a balcony! - and this separate sink area was so helpful to my hubby who has unique medical needs. Despite being at 75% capacity there was almost zero noise from other patrons (due to the fact that there is no hallway so noise dissipates into the open mezzanine). The room was spotless, the beds & bedding were comfy and the ability to let in fresh mountain air via the window off the balcony was the cherry on this sundae. My only regret was that we were only staying one night and not three :( Really looking forward to a return stay at this lovely establishment.

park place lodge has really amazing rooms, very comfy and home like, we ordered dinner from the attached pub which was delicious. facilities were pretty nice, very clean looking and super convenient being directly outside our room. there’s a cute little park across the street and location is OK. most staff were super helpful and friendly. overall a very homey stay

Really enjoyed our stay at Park Place Lodge. An affordable stay that is clean, comfortable and did exactly what we needed it to as a stopping point on our trip: left us feeling refreshed, looked after, fed and ready to go the next day. Rooms are very spacious and clean and our balcony was large with a lovely view of the surrounding mountains. The interior of the hotel brings it's own charm with an indoor pool and hot tub area lit up by ornate chandeliers - an unusual, but charming and welcoming touch. A busy road passes the front of the hotel but did not disturb us during the night. The lodge is ideally located right next to Highway 3 so it is easy to hop on and off as part of your trip. Petrol stations and shops are close by and the historic downtown area of Fernie is only a short walk away. Everything you need is on your doorstep. Thanks for a great stay.

My daughter and I stayed here for one night. It's right in town where we needed to be. The room was really clean and had all we needed. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and helped us with anything we needed or wanted to know. We could park our car right in front of our room which was handy. The bathroom was super clean, fresh and modern. We still needed heat at night and it worked well. The beds were super comfortable, mattress and pillows. We both had a really solid sleep after a long drive! It was also very quiet, considering it's along the main road through town. We were happy that there was no carpet on the floors, and they were spotless! We would definitely come back again!

Unexpectedly I had booked a dog friendly room though we did not have any of our dogs with us. As dog people, we were highly impressed by just how dog friendly the room was! There was a little container of treats, a nice dog bed, a spot for the leash, and tile floors just in case. The kitchenette was perfect size, and while we didn't need it, it could have served us well on a longer stay. In the bathroom, the towels were soft and the soap/shampoo was provided. One thing we both really enjoyed was the high pressure shower head. Such a welcome change from the low flow/low pressure shower heads of Marriott and Hyatt. The bed was comfortable and overall everything seemed very clean.

We made many trips to Fernie BC this summer for the incredible mountain biking in the area. We needed a place that was close to the great pubs and restaurants in the city, as well as comfortable accommodation for ourselves and our bikes. Snow Valley Lodging was my choice for every trip. The Lodge is mountain bike friendly. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about the local bike trails. The rooms are modern, beds are super comfortable and the rooms are quiet. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect place to stay while in Fernie. I will be back next summer.

The bed and pillows were so comfortable! Five stars!!!! It was incredibly clean. Loved the layout of the room -- plenty of places to sit and move around with a nice "prep" space by the fridge/microwave. The shower and bathtub were big and luxurious. The hot tub was immaculate. Front desk staff are friendly and accommodating. Baseboard heat was a pleasant change from the forced air units typically in hotels. Great location for walking to dinner or downtown. Small touches in the room, like the "rough" wood wall, the art and the fern had a modern and stylish feel plus the local soaps and many lighting options.

We traveled here from Rexford, MT for a Valentine date. The town is so charming and dinner was fabulous at the Fernie Cattle Company steak house. We stopped at the Fernie distillery and had great service with splendid drinks. The room was nice and modern. The view was awesome. The stay would have been much better with a upgraded and higher quality mattress. The coffee Kureg was nice but lack creamer. The location was great and the check in was seamless.

Hotel is modern , clean , rooms plenty of space. Staff helpful and welcoming. Small indoor pool available. Boston pizza part of hotel and ok if you’re after a quick meal stop. Guests get a 10% discount I think. Breakfast included and fine though not spectacular. Time they replaced over the bath shower and horrible shower curtain with a walk in. Irritating that no room safe . Perfectly good choice for a short stay if you’re out and about.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay , we were there for a family wedding. The staff was very courteous and extremely friendly and helpful if we had any questions. Check in and check out was a breeze. The rooms were fabulous, clean and very comfortable. We had a great view of the mountains. The morning breakfast’s were fabulous. A great variety to choose from but not so many options that it made it difficult to decide. Both mornings there were different options. Where else could you have Quesadillas or Frittatas as an option 🤷‍♀️. The coffe machine was phenomenal….. the options were endless….like going to a fancy coffee shop and was all included any time of the day ! We definitely made use of that🤣. The complementary cookies were a very nice touch. We highly recommend this place if you are planning a stay in Fernie ☺️

Was in Fernie for a wedding. From the moment we walked in the staff was wonderful. From the front desk to housekeeping everyone was friendly and helpful. Our room location requests were fulfilled. The breakfast options at the breakfast room were top notch as well as the staff making sure everything was hot and fresh. The coffee machine in the lobby made a perfect flat white. Almost forgot, so many pillows! and an extra in the closet Thank you for a great stay.

Excellent location, within walking distance to grocery store, gas station, Starbucks and hiking trails. Staffs were friendly and helpful during our visit. Our room was cleaned every day. Free breakfast was decent. And they have the best coffee machine in public area for guests, a Nespresso machine with so many options. As a coffee drinker, I love this perk. Lastly, this is the first hotel I ever stayed where laundry detergents and dryer sheets are provided for free. Other hotels, I had to pay for these . One thing we wish could have been better is the kitchenette in our room. We were hoping for a slightly bigger kitchen area and fridge that will be more convenient for our family. I stay always stay here when I come to Fernie. Always great value for money. There’s always new updates each time I come, It’s clean, staff are friendly, the hot tub is great after a long day of hiking or biking. The free breakfast has lots of options. It’s also great to stay there if you have dogs, it’s close to the river for nice walks. Close to restaurants and a short walk/bike or drove into town.

This property is very old and needs updating. That being said, it is slopeside, has a great hottub, attached restaurant, free dvd checkout, and the staff were wonderful. The bootfitter onsite also did a great job fixing my wife’s boots. We would stay here again.

Business trip. Two night stay. No front desk staff after 5PM. Check in was easy though, code to get in welcome letter and keys on front desk. Room was nice. Clean, well equipped kitchen. BUT... only coffee supplies for one pot. There is limited room services. We were there for two nights. No house keeping, no coffee stuff replacement. Bathrooms have a quarter sized bar of soap. And a incredibly small container of shampoo. Room rate is high enough that there should be more provisions supplied. Otherwise nice quiet stay.

The property was perfect for what we needed. My son had quick and easy access to the bike park and chair lift- which he loved! The view was awesome, the hikes in Fernie were amazing and overall Fernie was a cute little town with a relaxed mountain vibe! All in all a perfect little get away!

We loved how accessible it was to the ski field which is why we booked! Amazing view and close drive to town for dinner. The room was everything we needed for a night's stay with a comfortable bed and access to a hot tub - we have booked to come back.

Just spent a week at Fernie Slopeside. The location is great. You are a few step from the ticket office, the convenience store, the restaurants, the shops and the Timber Chair. You can ski back to the lodge and have an easy access to your locker room. The lodge is not fancy and not new, so nothing to be impress there, but it has all you need: comfortable double bed, table with chairs, fridge, Microwave, coffee maker (with provided coffee/cup) and bathroom. Room were serviced every day. Ambiance was calm while I was there. Staff were helpful and friendly. Hot tubs were out of service and they don't seem to plan to open them soon (Storage room now!!!). If you want to have access to a tub, there is a public aquatic center downtown with a pool, a tubs and a steam room (+water slide for kids) for a few $. Overall, it was a good experience, a fair price and a good location.

Wonderful lodge, quiet, clean and spacious rooms. Right on the hill, has hot tub, BBQ and scenic views. Perfect location for hiking or mountain biking. The reception works limited hours during summer season and you may need to get the keys at the different lodge.

The front desk staff was awesome. She was super friendly and helpful. The room was dated but clean and comfortable. Not a hotel issue, but was quite surprised to see that most of the restaurants on the hill were closed by 5pm. There were many great options for food in town.

Nice, comfortable, clean. Nothing spectacular but perfect clean, quiet room for a traveler. Tiny tv if it is important for you.

I gave it 5 star for the price and location. It’s clean and not as bad as some reviews. It’s true that the beds, sheets, and chairs need update, but we all enjoyed the very clean room and the facilities. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. We will go back again.

I have stayed at the Red Tree on a number of occasions, the most recent being in January 2020. All of my stays have been for Nonstop ski courses. The lodge is perfectly located for both the ski hill and the town of Fernie. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly, and able to answer all questions thrown their way. The lodge is spotlessly clean throughout. The rooms within the lodge are of a high standard, some with lovely balconies. The beds are very comfortable. The amenities are excellent, with a lovely hot tub which is most welcome after a hard day’s skiing, along with a swimming pool, communal kitchen area and movie room. The bar and restaurant area is cosy with a roaring fire in the corner, and a great selection of food and drink. I was particularly impressed with the vegetarian selection on my most recent stay, and of course with the generous breakfasts. Overall, I would highly recommend the Red Tree to anybody planning a trip to Fernie.

The room was comfy and clean staff were super welcoming and helpful kitchen area is fully stocked and convenient sauna and hot tub were amazing got upgraded to a room with a balcon upon arrival!

Great lodge to stay if you have a dog. Dog friendly rooms are located on the ground floor which was very convenient for us. Spacious clean room with an effective air conditioning unit. Our dog received a bag of treats upon arrival. The lodge is located within a walking distance to the beautiful Annex park and close to a lovely dog park. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Very good sushi and pizza restaurants in the proximity of the lodge. Overall, it was an excellent stay for us.

We stopped here for a couple of nights on our way from Banff to Vancouver. Hotel room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly, welcoming and informative. Breakfast is only available on a to-go basis and there is no choice or pre-order available so what you get it a muffin, apple and yoghurt which was fine for us but may not be to everyone’s taste. Laundry facilities were handy as well. We used the hot tub and again it was really good, especially as it was on a pre-book basis so you get the place to yourselves. I would recommend this hotel as a stopover for a couple of days however if I was staying in Fernie longer I would maybe pick somewhere else with more choice for breakfast and more facilities open.

We travelled to Fernie in Sept of this year, 2022. After travelling for 2 klms through town, we came across the Lodge. We had upgraded to a King room and after a long day, needed to put our feet up and relax. The Lodge was extremely clean and comfortable. There were a number of workers staying at this place, but they were all very respectful and quite, as was the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable and the A/C worked as it should. Our sleep was excellent and the morning brought a much cooler day. i asked the girls at the front desk where the best place was to have breakfast, as we would walk there and take a look around town. They suggested Smitty's about 1.7 klms from the Lodge. You have to be careful walking as there are o sidewalks, so we drove. Great idea and a very good meal. We returned to the hotel where I thanked the staff for an excellent stay and conversation about Fernie. I have to give credit to all the staff at this Lodge. They do more than most hotels to make us feel like we are at Home, but they did a very good job of making us feel special. Thank you all, very much for this. We will be back, but not with Arnold!!

Very clean and close to Mount Rushmore, Black Hills, South Dakota. Staff is friendly and helpful. You can rent a cabin or room in a hotel type sitting. Washer and Dryer available, bring quarters. Took us $2 to dry clothes-great price. Coffee maker in room with coffee pods. Small refrigerator in hotel type lodging. Complete with tv and WiFi. Wifi is slow, as we have found in most remote areas. Watch for deer at dusk and dawn. Would recommend Lunch, in season, and Dinner. Delicious! Prices are very reasonable for area and best food we could find. Coffee is good also. Mixed drink prices are very reasonable and they have an extensive wine list. Would definitely return here for a meal and stay!

Location is central, staff friendly, price unbeatable in Fernie, rooms clean and WiFi speed was good. There are not many budget options in Fernie. This hotel beats price and consider extra free amenities e.g hot tub, BBQ and guest kitchen. It’s not typical motels where you get a room and a TV, that’s it. Courtyard is private with amazing mountain view So- great for relaxing. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again.

Was surprised when we got in the courtyard, awesome swimming pool, amazing mountain views all around and plenty of laugh chairs to relax. Our room was very clean, tidy and bright. Staff very polite and friendly. Enjoyed the stay and recommend for people needing quite, clean and safe place to relax. Price also very reasonable for a resort town. Will be back.

We were working in Fernie for few weeks and needed a place. We checked out several motels price and rooms and ended up at this lodge. Our 2 bedroom apartment was spacious, clean and had full kitchen. It looked fairly new and well maintained. We enjoyed playing snooker in the guest common area and used hot tub after works- it was very relaxing stay. Staff were very easy to deal with and attentive. You can walk to everywhere Fernie. Certainly recommend for workers.

Perfect unit, everything one needs, so comfortable, so clean. This will be our go to unit in the future.

I had a good stay. The place was clean, comfortable, and just as described in the listing. The check-in process was smooth, and the host was responsive and helpful when needed. I especially appreciated speedy Wi-Fi and the quietness of the building. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I’d consider staying here again.

Pretty much everything was great, the coffee was excellent(great flavor), bed was sooo comfy, love the fact I had a balcony to sit outside and read my ebook at night. Great concept, would and will stay here again.

Great location very close to restaurants and walking trails. Large, clean two bedroom apartment with very comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen and access to BBQ. Access to underground parking.

Raging Elk was clean and organized. Staff was great, communicated well, and were helpful. I stayed in a cubby which was nice. Clean linens, blanket, pillows, and bath towel were provided. Fellow guests were quiet and respectful of sleeping areas. Cooking and lounge areas are downstairs. Places to store backpack, skis and boots are available. There is a public bar connected.

Nice location in Fernie. The facility is clean. Kitchen is well equipped. There is a nice common room for reading, play pingpong and pool. staff are very friendly and helpful! We accidentally lock our car keys in the car. It was sunday, most business were closed. The front desk staff help us look for options to get assistance to unlock the car. He is very helpful! We are very appreciated his helping hand!

the room were good value for the price. Shower and toiletries and towels excellent. Open windows to the outside allowed you to vent your own sliding window to your personal preference. My wing was very quiet, I slept well on the firm mattress in the quiet end of the hall, room 26. Cool place for any travellers budget. Breakfast must be had at Mugshot Cafe a few blocks away. Excellent value, excellent hashbrowns - old school.

Location, parking, building, reception from staff, everything looked clean well laid out, bathrooms clean, the bar and entertainment that evening were great. Again bar staff, etc, though busy they were on it.
