property is at the center. good location and 5 mins walk to the central station. helpful staff. we had a duplex apartment for our family of 5 with 2 baths n a jacuzzi in the private terrace.

Location is great, rooms are large and clean, very quiet, friendly staff, breakfast was good but not amazing, ac was great and cold. The wine cellar experience downstairs is overpriced and wastes money so I’d skip that. The outside room jacuzzi should be removed and that area revamped into a nice sitting nook with maybe a simple water feature. Overall though really great value.

They work with a garage that is close and safe. 3 minute walk. Check in was easy and friendly. Room was clean and spacious. We had a little living room, as well as a nice sized bedroom with a comfortable bed, nice window, it was quiet. We had breakfast included and it was lovely. There’s a beautiful breakfast nook with lots of options for seating and lots of choices for breakfast-you will not be disappointed. Staff was super helpful friendly.

Wonderful breakfast room (and breakfast options), cozy guest room, comfortable and clean bed, large and well appointed bathroom and shower. A little small, but I was expecting that. The twin sized sofa bed was perfect for our teen. It was made up and ready upon our arrival. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location of this property was perfect for our stay as we arrived and departed from the Florence SMN train station which was a short walk (even with luggage). Located in the middle of everything, The Frame was a quick walk to every site you’d want to visit while in Florence.

This lovely boutique hotel is just perfect! amazing location, super clean, modern and chic with a very comfortable room, delicious breakfast and the most friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend it and definitely come back.

Location is fantastic, couldn't be more ideal if taking a holiday in Florence. Its centrally located and close to everything! Lovely quiet location. Rooms were beautiful, clean, great size, comfortable beds and lovely bathroom, huge jacuzzi and sauna.

The location is prime. You can walk to all the points of interests within 10 minutes. Vasari suite is luxurious with kitchenette and real sauna & jacuzzi. We didn't try the sauna, though because the weather was too hot. The hotel did not offer breakfast. You need to grab something from nearby grocery store / bakery. Staffs (Silvia, Leonardo, Filippo) are friendly and informative. Highlight is comfortable bed and heated bathroom floor.

The Vasari suite was absolutely amazing. It was a perfect size for our family of 6! Our 4 teens loved the suite. The beds were large and so comfy. The pull out sofa bed was the most comfortable pull out bed I've ever slept in. The spa bathrooms were spectacular. The huge spa jacuzzi tub was such an incredible treat. The front desk staff Francesco was extremely helpful, professional, and kind. Silvia was also so wonderful and treated us so well. Our stay in Florence at the Donati Hotel was perfect and so memorable. I was visiting for a work conference and was able to enjoy the location of being so centrally located to everything. It made the stay so easy and we were able to enjoy everything with in short walks. The actual plaza of the hotel is quiet and peaceful yet within a few steps of anything you need. I can't say enough great things about this hotel. We look forward to returning here in the future.

location was amazing, close to Dumo, center and the staff was amazing, the rooms were as expected with unique decore and minibar. should care about the jacuzzi, but all the rest of the facilities were amazing. it's in the center and a unique place. about safety because it is in the old center so you may face a couple of drunk foreigners. just be careful to be back by 11-1AM. not noisy and a very very quiet place, the price little height but with these facilities and staff it is worth it. I arrived late to the hotel because I missed the last train from Verona to Florence and faced a couple of issues, they were very kind to me and helpful.

Great design to rooms (love the murals, truly), very spacious, great breakfast (not sure what prior reviews were complaining about?) and very friendly staff, accommodating to families. Breakfast had tons of options and was constantly maintained by an always present wait staff; also dined under amazing ceilings, florentine feel. We took a young family and walk was within 5 minutes of everything- location can’t be beat. To improve? Honestly, the rooms need a deep cleaning. At first glance, look fine, but had to dig a lost toy out from under the pull out bed- trash littered from prior guests under. It would only take 5 minutes to pick up and vacuum. Another day we had to change our master bed linens, and the mattress pad protector had stains and tons of hair from prior guests- its sad, bc those protectors can get thrown in the wash easy between guests. We noticed big stains on the blankets- were they clean? Who knows… Also, bathroom needs a fresh coat of paint, stains on walls and looks like no attempt to clean (if were not going to paint). Bottom line, if they clean better, I would stay again, but honestly, can’t go back unless this improves. Doesn’t need to be fancy, but at minimum where we sleep and bathe, needs to be clean.

Great hotel in a very central yet quiet location. Very comfortable, clean, spacious rooms. Lovely, happy, friendly, helpful staff at reception and at breakfast. Breakfast was also very good. Very good restaurant e few doors down from the hotel.

We stayed for 4 days. The location is perfect, very central, all the sights are within 5 minutes, there are a lot of cafes and restaurants around. The reception is open 24 hours, the staff is polite and helpful, there were no surprises with the accommodation. The room was wonderful, spacious, clean, with a small kitchenette and decorated with fantasy. Breakfast was not very varied, but there were several hot dishes, cold snacks and fruits, coffee and juices.

The hotel was in the perfect location and the restaurant right next door was delicious. The hotel staff were so helpful calling cabs for our early morning trips. The room was clean and spacious. I just wish there was more seating. There was only one desk chair and lots of empty space. A small couch or a pair of comfy chairs would make the room so much better and more comfortable.

The hotel had a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. My room was modern and comfy, with good A/C and useful extras like a wardrobe and safe. I appreciated being able to opt out of housekeeping, which felt more sustainable. The spa area was a highlight: a heated pool, Finnish sauna, towels, lockers, and always time slots available to book. The breakfast had lots of options and small daily changes like different juices, cakes, or hot food variations, which kept it interesting. Andreea, Cristina, and Francesco F. at reception were especially kind and helpful. I could even store my luggage after checkout and rest in the peaceful atrium before heading off. Also: I didn’t see a single bug or fly the whole stay, which is rare and appreciated!

Such a wonderful stay in this boutique-style hotel, with character, superb cleanliness (recently renovated and beautifully refurbished), right in the centre of the historic part of the city and in a spacious double room, with a comfortable bed, excellent walk-in shower and mini-bar. The staff were beyond helpful and friendly and there was always someone to welcome us at reception(available from breakfast through 11pm, there is not an overnight reception but entrance using key card 24/7. But we were never back that late, and happy to be tucked up in comfy bed watching TV and having drinks from the mini bar which was exceptionally reasonably priced. We enjoyed our breakfast in the mornings, and nothing was too much trouble (even getting extra milk for the mini bar for our very British end of the day cuppas! :). Highly recommend, a bit of a well kept secret and definitely hope to be back!

One of the most remarkable aspects of the hotel was its impeccable cleanliness. The rooms were flawlessly maintained, and it was evident that meticulous attention was given to upholding a superior level of hygiene throughout the premises. We felt entirely at ease and comfortable during our entire stay. The hotel's location was unparalleled. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that all our needs were conveniently met right at our doorstep. With parking in the garage that was close and an abundance of nearby stores, restaurants, and coffee shops, we had effortless access to all the amenities one could desire. This made our city exploration and overall stay much more convenient and pleasurable. All in all, our experience at Corte dei Sogni Boutique Hotel & Spa Firenza surpassed all expectations. Hotel was fantastic! Clean, modern and all areas inside finished to a high quality. Situated right in the heart of the city with great cafes, restaurants and sites to see. Our bed was very comfortable, the shower/ bathroom was great and all fittings and furniture in the room were to a high standard. Staff were exceptional - kind, welcoming and accomodating. The included breakfast was the perfect start to the day for getting up and exploring Florence. The large windows in our rooms also had a view down onto the street below, which was a small but fun 'feature' as we watched people come and go along the Italian streets, and blocked out all noise from the outside when closed (we stayed during a major storm and you wouldn't have known when inside). I never leave reviews, but this hotel and team deserve it based on our experience! You will be very well looked after if you come here, and we will definitely book here again when we come back to Florence one day.

They were able to facilitate an earlier check in, which I really appreciated. Each staff member was friendly, professional and helpful throughout the stay, always with a smile on their face! My room was beautiful, the bathroom was sleek and modern...and the bed was so so comfortable! The breakfast choices were brilliant and v tasty. I did have some initial worry about being on the same floor as the breakfast room/bar area, but noise was never an issue. And of course, the location is ideal. Pretty much all the main spots to see within a max 15min walk. Lastly, as a solo traveller, it felt safe throughout!

A warm welcome and staff who are attentive and always took time to talk to us. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard. The private use spa really made this break- we used it 3 times. Definitely worth the extra cost. Used the deep jacuzzi in the room frequently. Kitchenette was brilliant. A lovely supermarket very near which came in handy. We are used to city living so not perturbed by city noise. When the windows were shut is was very quiet. Lots of lovely local places to eat and drink and watch the world go by. If you book to stay here o you won’t regret it!

I booked the deluxe junior suite with river view for my boyfriend’s birthday, and I must say we were exceptionally pleased! The view was stunning and the hotel situated in a prime location. The room was clean and beautiful. Large windows, a jacuzzi bath, tall ceiling and overall a stunning design to the captivating hotel. I would definitely recommend this room to anyone visiting. The service was top quality and very efficient, staff were friendly and very professional! Overall a 10/10 experience.

Warm welcome on arrival , although we had an issue with parking as the allocated spot was being used by a van. Had to park in disabled bay while the hotel staff sorted out the parking. Taken to our room no 421in the main building. Looked as if we were in a 5 star hotel bedroom. Lovely furnishing and a jacuzzi bath. All tastefully decorated. The umbrella in the room for our use was a real blessing as unfortunately it rained a few times during our trip. We also booked another room for my children, no 207 in the old part of the hotel. They were amazed at the size of it and the jacuzzi as well. They were surprised that they had such a quality room and thought they were in the wrong room. Downside in being in the older part of the hotel was that to go to the reception or the gym , you had to go through the open courtyard- Breakfast had a great selection of food and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only down side is that the scrambled eggs, bacon and bean stew were tepid if not cold but we could get a freshly fried egg on order if needed. The location was excellent. Few minutes walk to the Ponte Vecchio bridge and the main sites of Florence. The car was parked away from the site but would be brought back for us when needed, with less than half an hour wait. Although, Florence is walkable we used the car to have a look at the local scenery and the shopping outlet to the North of Florence. All in all a lovely stay at the amazing hotel and the beautiful city of Florence.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Rivalta Hotel for work, and I couldn't have been more impressed. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable, just a few minutes' walk from all the major attractions, yet tucked away in a wonderfully quiet spot right in front of the beautiful Santa Trinita Bridge and next to the iconic Ponte Vecchio. It was such a relief to return to the hotel after a day of exploring the bustling city center and step into the serene, cool courtyard that felt like a hidden oasis. Wifi was excellent both in the room and the courtyard where I was able to work comfortably. The staff were exceptional. They were incredibly helpful, accommodating every request I had with a smile. Their ability to speak multiple languages made communication a breeze, and they went out of their way to ensure my stay was perfect. I stayed in a Standard Single Room, and it exceeded my expectations. The room was modern, impeccably clean, and equipped with a super comfortable bed that provided a perfect night's sleep. Despite the hotel's central location, the room was wonderfully quiet, allowing me to rest and recharge fully.

Our stay was absolutely exceptional. Although our arrival was a bit confusing due to Google Maps taking us in circles, we eventually parked nearby and walked to the hotel. The front desk was incredibly helpful, especially since we arrived after the arranged parking closed at 11:30 PM,they made sure we were settled comfortably in our room. We were warmly welcomed with a bottle of champagne and delicious macrons. The room itself was stunning, spacious, with a large walk-in closet, a luxurious bathroom with both a bath and a shower, and breathtaking views. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, making for a perfect night’s sleep. The staff went above and beyond throughout our stay. They personally helped me bring the car to the front of the hotel and allowed it to remain parked there overnight. Breakfast was exceptional, with a great variety and high-quality offerings. The team also provided wonderful recommendations for local attractions, held our luggage after checkout, and even accommodated a late checkout. This was truly a fantastic stay,worth every penny. We will absolutely be back without question.

The most perfect location within easy walking distance to everything you would want to see in central Florence. The room we had was 303, an executive suite with city view. We were 3 and our 18yr old had the sofa bed in the living room. The view from the two rooms was beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the decor lovely. Breakfast was included as a continental - but was over and above what we expected - good selection of hot and cold foods, amazing coffee. All staff were highly professional and extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone visiting Florence.

The best thing about the San Firenze is the Staff. Really friendly and helpful - lovely people. The location is excellent, very central for all the main tourist destinations. There are so many restaurants, you can't really go wrong for good Italian food. Our room was excellent, with a very comfortable queen size bed, good air con, really good shower - a peaceful environment in the heart of the city. Breakfast was cozy with good choice of food and nice and relaxed. We would certainly stay again.

Amazing hotel! The manager and staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was excellent. So much attention to detail. The location couldn’t have been more perfect, it’s within walking distance to everything! Outside the hotel is a cute little piazza with restaurants and sometimes a live opera singer just outside! It was so quiet at night, they have these amazing windows in your room that block out all noise. They also offer a free international breakfast buffet which was excellent! Top notch!

Such a lovely stay! Our apartment was really clean, tidied daily. Very spacious, amazing views of Florence from the windows and balcony. Quiet accommodation and the bed was great quality (slept 11 hours on the first night…)! Couldn’t beat its location - in all directions were restaurants, shops, attractions etc. Overall, 10/10!

Location is perfect, right in the middle of Florence, 10 minutes from everything. We had a suite at the top floor , with beautiful view, very large and spacious, clean and comfortable. All the staff very extremely helpful, lovely and professional.

Pretty much everything! The location is superb. Right in the heart of Florence and yet quiet. The people could not have been kinder or more helpful with everything from late arrival to booking local restaurants (where the locals go). The room was spacious, with rooftop views over the city, and the bed was very comfortable. With all the above it made it great value. We will definitely return!

The location is gold. It is very close to the central station and it was very easy to walk from the central station to the place. The staff was excellent, very supportive, very friendly, and very quick in response. . The room was pretty, clean, and warm. Everything worked well. The toilet amenities were also nice. The space was just right. There is even a balcony if you fancy sipping some glasses of wine in the evening. There was free coffee and tea on the table. And they prepared some Tuscan wine for you. If you feel like drinking, you can pick one of the bottles and pay for it. The price started from 10 EUR! The steps to access the room were not complicated. You just need 3 codes, one for the building entrance, one for the entrance to the apartment, and another for the key locker. The hallway was clean and inviting. They also provided you with some restaurants' discount coupons, incl. ones for breakfast. If I had stayed longer, I would have tried at least one of them. What I liked a lot was that you could come back to this hallway where you left your luggage anytime. You just needed codes to access there, so it was easy for us to come back and repack after shopping the whole day. . I want to stay here again next time I come to Florence. I really don't need to look for an alternative.

This property is nisleading from the outside. Once you are in the building from the street it is charming. The lift was very handy. Once inside the actual Apollo Hoyse area it updated and modern. Beds are comfortable area is clean. Coffee service in the room a bonus and the staff friendly and helpful. I recommend this place uf you are visiting Florence

This guest house was amazing. Upgraded amenities. Very nicely decorated! Rooms were very clean. Wish we were able to stay longer. Shower was spacious. Room was spacious. Easy check-in process. Right next to train station and tram to the airport. I highly recommend the Apollo Guest House!

Travelled as a couple in November and had a lovely stay at Apollo. Arrived and departed by train so the location was perfect, only a couple of minutes walk from the station but away enough that you didn’t hear any station noise. Communication was very good and instructions easy to follow. The room itself was large, clean and modern with an ensuite (great shower and water pressure) and small outdoor balcony. Only 10 minutes walk to all the major attractions. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse for anyone wanting to be accessible to the train station and main sites of Florence.

This is the most luxurious, low key hotel in the world. It is in a renovated 16th (or so) century building with exquisite furnishings. Sometimes luxurious hotels make me uptight with all the hovering by staff but not here. They are invisible unless you need them, warm, happy to help in any way. Check in is to the right as you enter the courtyard, then someone will escort you to your room. Our room, The Studio, which is actually a one bedroom, was spacious, crisp, clean, and well stocked with everything we needed -- including a small tucked-away mini kitchen with stovetop, refrigerator, dishes to cook. Very unexpected. Bed was beyond comfortable and made up with fresh linens daily, something that often doesn't happen post COVID. Breakfast is made to order with Continental also available. Pastries and juices are available all day. The hotel is about a block from the river, a 7 minute walk from the train station, and 15 minutes to the Uffizi. Perfect location to see beautiful Florence then return to the best hotel the city has to offer.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for 5 nights at the end of March. The staff were so welcoming, professional, friendly and helpful. We booked the studio which had a bedroom (with a huge very comfy bed) with a separate large lounge area. Luxurious, comfortable accommodation. Delicious breakfast - much of which was cooked to order. A bonus having a garden to sit out in. Great location, easy walk to all key sites and travel hubs. A special hotel which made our visit to Florence very memorable. Thank you to the wonderful team.

The property is stunning, comfortable, has a great location for getting around town and the breakfast was delicious. We were blown away by the beauty of this palatial home, which felt full of history and was so beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed and loved all the luxurious touches that made us feel like guests in a royal home. Everywhere there were beautiful sitting areas, art, antiques, soaring ceilings and beautiful architecture. Our room was comfortable, quiet and service was top notch. We would stay here again for certain.

We had a lovely room spacious, comfortable and well maintained. The bathroom again very spacious and with a separate toilet and shower. Breakfast setting in the private garden was very pretty and with good options. The location was superb with a garage for parking 50m away and only 26 euros for the day and night. Highly recommended for a great location and nice bedrooms. The staff although not many as a small boutique hotel were extremely friendly and accommodating to assist with every need.

Excellent location sightseeing - a few steps from Duomo and close to shops, restaurants etc. The suite itself was beautifully decorated and provisioned. The beds were the most comfortable ever. The staff member who greeted us on arrival and departure was friendly and helpful, and kindly allowed us to stow our bags for the afternoon on the day of departure. This was our first visit to Florence and the accommodation was also an important aspect to a perfect and memorable first impression! Many thanks.

The location was absolutely perfect! The room and building was authentic to the area which I really loved. The room was spacious enough for four people, the beds a were comfortable and clean and the bathroom felt luxurious. The suite was beautiful and the location couldn’t have been more perfect! Super clean, modern, quiet, and exactly as described. We had a wonderful stay!

We had a phenomenal 5 day stay in the luxurious Alamanni Suite! This was more like a small apartment than a hotel room. Extremely spacious with a small kitchenette that had everything we needed. Beautifully furnished with a comfortable living room. Bathroom was roomy with a large shower that had a rainfall shower head, and a double vanity sink. Bath towel warmer was a nice touch! Alessandra was friendly and accommodating, and we had a smooth check in process! The surrounding area is perfect - you’re right in the heart of Florence with fabulous restaurants and shopping just a few steps away, and only two blocks from the Tiber river. 5min walk to Maria Santa Novella. Only thing to upgrade would be the pillows, as they were extremely flat.

This was our most enjoyable visit to Florence ever. We have visited Florence before but not like this. We stayed an entire week at one of the finest properties we ever had the pleasure to book. Location was incredible. We were in the heart of the old city and we’re able to walk everywhere. One couldn’t walk more than 100 feet in any direction without finding an excellent trattoria, enoteca or restaurant serving local fresh food. We were minutes from the Uffizi, the Arno, the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo and just about any attraction one would wish to visit. The room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The mattress new. The view, spectacular. Lastly, the staff lead by Alessandra were extremely kind, friendly and professional. Everyone really appreciated our visiting with them. We love Italy, we really love Florence and now we have what feels like a home in one of our favorite cities in the world.

So an amazing experience. You need I find the hotel though. It’s in building 9. Take the elevator to 5th floor then stairs to 7th floor. Thanks to Alessandra who showed us to the room. Was so nice and warm. Explained everything in detail. Wifi, best restaurants in the area, map of the area, breaking options etc, and answered all our questions. The apartment itself was lovely. The view was amazing. Everything was so clean and elegant. Nespresso machine made a difference for us. Was a romantic room. Stayed in suite, pullout sofa was very nice, new, god mattress on it. Other bed comfortable. Bathroom good size. Great views, close to Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. Nice upscale neighborhood. Reception is not 24 hours, but the stayed late for us. Held luggage. Coffee maker. The property has a really nice terrace with views, we got a takeout meal and enjoyed it there one night. Highly recommend. Would stay again. There is elevator to 5h floor reception. Stairs to higher floors only. So one or two flights. They helped with bags. Quiet setting.

The Suites is great place to stay in Florence. Patrizia and Alessandra helped us get Anniversary reservations at Restaurant Parione (which was Fantastic). They helped with ground transportation. The room was clean, well stocked and the shower was over the top. Quiet and beautiful views from our room. Would stay here again on my next trip to Florence.

I stay in roughly 20 different hotels each year and am a bit of a perfectionist, but Palazzo di Camugliano superseded my expectations. It is classified as a B&B on Tripadvisor, but this is a luxurious hotel minus a bar/restaurant/fitness, things you will not miss as you are in the heart of this city. Visitors coming to Florence come for the history, beauty and culture, what is the point of a modern or nondescript hotel. This palazzo provides the perfect setting to enjoy Florence at its best. Beautiful rooms, low-key but excellent service, beautiful a-la-carte breakfast on own terrace and drinks/canapés available all day. With only 10 or 11 rooms, it is quiet and all feels opulent, making the price I paid (260) seem cheap. I cannot imagine what the upkeep of such a house costs.. I slept in the Baldacchino rosso suite, amazing. But the smaller rooms look beautiful and inviting too. Downsides – at breakfast on the terrace, there are a number of pigeons trying to take your food. Might sound funny, but it is a pain. Not sure what the hotel can do about it, buy a falcon maybe.. You are in the middle of the city, so it can get a bit noisy outside. But that is hardly the hotels fault. Windows are well isolated, just bring earplugs if sensitive. Online, they promise a free upgrade upon availability if you book directly. My receptionist knew nothing of this, but we figured it out at the end.

Beautiful palazzo renovated to an exceptional standard right in the centre of Florence. Lovely room (Cina Blu) with everything you need to make your stay comfortable, including lovely marble modern bathroom with 2 basins, really good shower, bath and good lighting. Beds extremely comfortable, good linen.Perfect after walking cobbled streets! There are plenty of places to sit and chill among lovely surroundings, and pretty rooftop garden with sitting areas and fountain for warmer weather. The staff are exceptional, welcoming, kind and incredibly helpful with advice, restaurant and taxi bookings - nothing is too much trouble, even to plates of biscuits and tea after a day exploring Florence! We cannot thank them enough for making this trip to Florence unforgettable.

This is the most luxurious, low key hotel in the world. Sometimes luxurious hotels can make you feel slightly uptight with all the hovering by staff but not here. They are invisible unless you need them, warm, happy to help in any way. Check in is to the right as you enter the courtyard, then someone will escort you to your room. Our room, The Studio, which is actually a King 1-Bedroom, was spacious. crisp, clean and well stocked with everything we needed -- including a small tucked-away mini-kitchen with stove top, refrigerator, dishes/silverware, pans to cook. Very unexpected. Bed was beyond comfortable and made up with fresh linens daily, something that often doesn't happen in many hotels these days. Breakfast is made to order, or Continental also available. Pastries and juices are available all day. The hotel is about a block from the river, a 7-minute walk from the train station, and 15 minutes to the Uffizi. Perfect location to see beautiful Florence then return to the best hotel the city has to offer. No surprise it is rated #1 of all 30 inns in Florence.

Hidden gem. True to Italian character. Website piccys dont do justice to capture hotels stately, inner beauty. Peaceful pretty courtyard to spend evenings in and have al fresco breakfast. Food is exceptional...breakfast consisted of juices, tea/coffee, plain/mixed omelettes with or without salmon/bacon accompaniment; meat platters, fruit platters, pastries. Throughout the day there was also fruit juices/water and pastries to help yourself to too. Fridge in room with free water and option to buy other items ie wine The hotel had lovely private, sitting areas if you didnt want to stay in your room Rooms are enormous so great for multiple occupants. Have usual bathrobes, toiletries expected at this level. Staff are super friendly and very attentive to service Hotel great for walking to all areas in Florence and lots restaurants in nearby vicinity for evening dinner If there was a negative it would be the amount of staircases but that would depend on the room allocated...there is a lovely glass lift.... We had the basement tho which may have been the old servants quarters...huge room and lovely but so many stairs when up and down frequently

This hotel is joint first in the Telegraph best rated hotels in Florence, and we now know why. This hotel is faultless. You are staying in a stately home, the grandeur and style, the subtle attentiveness of the staff, the stunning rooms (we had the Fresco bedroom) - all contribute to a feeling that just for a short while you are the Marquis and his family themselves. Every member of staff is wonderfully polite and helpful. We were greeted by Emma who seemed to be there every hour of every day and who was charming, courteous and ever helpful - offering to book us 'beat the queue' tickets to the museums and tables for diner at restaurants. Her colleagues all where equally polite and lovely and everyone is a credit to this hotel. As written elsewhere, breakfast is not a buffet but served to you in the dining room - a huge table that you share with fellow guests - you order what you you want and it is provided freshly cooked/prepared. In addition juices, pastries, cereals, etc are all there if you want to make it a four course breakfast. The mini bar is free, replenished every day. Fresh sheets and towels every day; little biscuit nibbles left for you each evening. Afternoon tea and cakes provided every day and Prosecco and canapés every evening. (Sadly we didn't take advantage of the evening treats because we were going out to diner). Just minutes walk from the main sites and centre; if you're not on a budget, do not stay anywhere else in Florence.

Quirky B & B in a fabulous location. Staff were helpful and friendly. Good shower and comfy bed and pillows. Continental breakfast pretty much as one would expect. Although there aren’t any tea and colder facilities in the room there is a well stocked tea/coffee making area and 2 comfortable lounge/seating areas. Room overlooked the market square, which meant early morning and late night noise. Although this meant early morning an unrequited wake up calls it did little to detract from our enjoyment of this B & B. We certainly stay there again if we returned to Florence.

The staff was very nice. One of the associates even carrried my suitcase up the 40 stairs to the lobby when he saw us approach the hotel. Our king bed was great and we loved the decor. It was fun shopping for leather just steps away. The free breakfast was outstanding and the options to sit at a large shared table with others was fun. We appreciated making our own coffee in the coffee bar. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again especially if using the train station.

This is not really a hotel so much is a bed-and-breakfast. There was a gentleman who greeted us when we checked in and helped us with our luggage, but you don’t really see anyone even other guests during the time that you were there. This may be appealing to some, but if ever you needed anything during the evening, you’re not going to get it. The hotel is located next to an outdoor leather market, and it’s pretty central however certain basic amenities are lacking. My wife had to use noise cancelling headphones because of the noise outside. They do clean the rooms well, and they provide you with bottles of water, which is a nice addition. However, one can’t help but get the feeling that one is completely isolated. If a bed-and-breakfast is your thing then this is the place for you, if you want Support staff for whatever needs you may have you’re not going to find it. The breakfast was included, was relatively Spartan, but was a decent quality. The bathrooms weren’t the best, but as I mentioned, it was clean and well kept. Don’t know if I would stay there again, but I wouldn’t rule it out.

It's in a great location in the central city, convenient and walkable. The property is decorated very boho, artsy and interesting. The common areas provide a lot of comfortable room. The staff was engaging and very helpful - particularly with handling delivery of our lost luggage so we didn't need to waste time waiting around for it. The room was quiet for sleeping. Didn't like the lack of counter area around the bathroom sink.

We loved staying at this unique B&B! Porcelinno Gallery is a special place located in a vibrant central area. Super convenient to high-end shopping stores and local merchants with special finds. Walking distance to museums and great restaurants. The breakfast was the best spread and a wonderful surprise our first morning. It is a very welcoming place, where you feel right at home and cared for. Thank you to the fantastic staff for making our stay in Florence unforgettable!

The stay at Palazzo Alfieri was excellent. The only thing that has stopped me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that the bathrooms seemed to have been designed by tall men for even taller people only. The towel hooks were almost unreachable and the fixing for the shower head was probably above two metres so no chance of being able to shower without holding the shower head. Which in a hotel of this level and price range is somewhat disappointing. Equally the step into the bathtub/shower was so deep to make it almost unsafe when coming out of the shower. Besides that the room Was very very comfortable and the view on the river absolutely unforgettable.

I can't wait to come back! Check in was easy, everyone was amazing and the breakfast was delicious. Make sure you spring for the river view, you won't regret it. This is an old building so don't freak out when you get inot the tiny elevator. Make sure to bring your universal plug because there were no usb ports in my room, cant say for the rest of the hotel. The staff were very helpful. I was very happy with my stay and out river view room was beautiful.

We had an excellent stay, the property was very clean and luxurious. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall very satisfied with the service and the hospitality. Rooms are beautiful and spacious. Beautiful decor. Highlight was the second floor balcony with the best views of the river bridges and the city!! Highly recommended

The view of the river and Ponte Vecchio from our room took my breath away! The staff at the front desk went above and beyond helping us with Vineyard Tours, Train to Rome bookings and countless other requests! The location has not only an amazing view but is steps to the best shopping Florence has to offer, incredible restaurants, trattorias and cafes. All of the art galleries and churches you must see are within walking distance as well. I cried when it was time to leave the beautiful, charming, and perfect Palazzo Alfieri …

The staff was very friendly, very customer oriented. The spa was temporarily closed for repair, and they offered me a complimentary massage which I highly appreciated. The location is great, just 5'walk to Duomo, everything is reachable by foot. The room was cozy, spacious (the bathroom with jacuzzi), and very quiet despite being located in the busy area. Great a-la carte breakfast.

Beautiful boutique hotel right in middle of everything. We had a great experience. Everything was walkable. Room was great with a jacuzzi tub. AC worked very well as it was 100F . The breakfast was super good with omelettes made to order. The staff was super helpful and cordial. Everything we wanted was done in minutes. Great restaurants right outside the hotel. Look no further.

The level of customer service was excellent. The receptionist advised me on the proper way to park in the immediate city area, to avoid tickets that many tourists receive. The gym is the best that I have seen at ANY hotel. It is a real, full sized gym. The spa was excellent with Turkish bath, dry sauna, and Jacuzzi. Massage was on point. They even had my car driven from the parking garage, delivered right in front of the hotel, ready for me upon checkout. I'll be back for sure.

The employees were so friendly and helpful! Our room had everything we needed. Loved the turn down service. If we ran short on anything, they immediately took care of things. The coffee choices for breakfast were excellent…delicious and hot! I would’ve enjoyed more local breakfast choices. For example instead of bacon, offer prosciutto. And I thought the vegetables offered with the omelettes were odd. One morning we had frozen peas/carrots and another morning it was mashed potatoes. There are so many delicious fresh vegetable options in Italy that I felt that would’ve been more enjoyable. Breakfast was rather pricey.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We had a nice studio with a spacious bathroom. The room was very quiet although it is in a very dense touristed area two blocks from the Duomo. Personnel was professional and helpful and the breakfast staff were delightful. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of offerings. The hotel was very convenient to restaurants, shopping and the train station. The public areas in the hotel, eg, bar, were spacious and were great for entertaining guests.
