Overall: A good value for the price. Details: My room was large, but looked heavily used and showed signs of wear. Not a big deal though. Decent view, bed was comfortable. There was no restaurant on site, and none were in reasonable walking distance. So if you're tired from your day and don't feel like driving somewhere for dinner and finding parking your only option is ordering delivery. The on-site self parking was convenient and you save a lot of money by not having a valet. The elevator takes you right down to the parking area. The location isn't near the more interesting areas, but the Galveston is small enough that everything is easy to drive to. The gym is small and basic, but it will get the job done. I didn't use the pool so I can't comment on that. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall it's a terrific value considering the price vs other hotels in the area. It's perfect if you're on a business trip, but may not be ideal if you're on vacation.

Clean, very nice property. Comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The young man at the front desk was especially helpful to us four senior ladies who had arrived early with tons of luggage from our cruise. It was only his second day and with his welcoming attitude and helpful spirit I am sure he will be a great asset to LaQuinta.

Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean. Hallways were clean and fresh smelling. There were no loud noises, very quiet. They had some covered parking which was free. I will definitely stay here again for a pre cruise stay. Breakfast did not have any bagle assortment.

The Inn and staff are excellent in making sure their customers are comfortable in all ways. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The beds felt comfortable. We were on the 1st floor next to the gym and our room was so soundproof. We never heard any noise or any disturbances. This was one of the best Hotels that we have stayed in. Also, another thing I like is the parking accommodations. We were able to park in a reasonable spot. The Hotel is near the highway. Just everything about LaQuinta Inn was excellent.

Friendly Staff and very helpful. We were there for soccer tournament with my son. Breakfast was also great. Room was clean and beda were also very comfortable. I loved the dark shade for the window to sort of black out the room. Would book again on next trip.

I've been staying here for a 3rd time. I love this hotel! Fresh made breakfast. Clean facility. Jacuzzi & pool are hiding in a shadow, so you can hang out there on a hot sunny day until it's time to go to the beach in the evening. Super nice staff. No musty smell or anything like that in the room (neat & dry).

First thing I noticed was a very friendly & professional staff upon check in. We were checked in quickly & proceeded to our room. Upon entry into our room, the first thing I noticed was that it was very clean & neat. Also, the room was much larger than I expected, which is always a bonus. The beds were the most comfortable that I have ever enjoyed from any hotel, ever, in my life. The bed covers were luxurious & very soft. When we awoke Sunday morning, we went downstairs to the dining area for your complimentary breakfast. It was an amazing spread of all kinds of tasty food. We tried a little bit of everything and all of the food was delicious. Note: Really liked the sliced sausage links, as that is something you just don't typically see at complimentary breakfasts, but we enjoyed it very much! What a gem...across the street from the beach with easy access. All rooms face the ocean and the balcony was enjoyable (I told the hotel they should add a little table to the balcony for my coffee.). The room was spacious and very clean. I found the beds comfortable . The breakfast was well done with nice variety, cleanliness and kept fresh...

Our room was very clean and spacious, with a beautiful ocean view from the balcony. The bathroom had new plumbing fixtures. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive—it was clear they did their best to accommodate guests. They replaced our towels and cleaned the room of sand after beach visits. The breakfast offered a varied and delicious menu.

The room is extra clean. The Holiday Inn provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for you to shower. In the bathroom, sink hand soap and body lotion even kleenex. There are plenty of super clean towels. The bed is comfy, and there are no problems sleeping. Baloney is looking at the beach. Breakfast was GREAT. I LOVED, LOVED their coffee. Hotel swimming pool clean, and it's an awesome place just to hang around to relax. The BEACH IS ACROSS THE STREET. JUST A FEW STEPS AND BOOM YOU ARE THERE. The restaurant The Spot next door. , YUMMY!!! I WILL RETURN TO THE HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS & SUITES. DIFFERENTLY STAY LONGER THEN 3 NIGHTS, 4 DAYS. The STAFF AMAZING, RESPECTFUL, AND CARING. The location of the hotel, in the middle of everything on the Seawall. The view was amazing from our balcony. The rooms were quiet and very comfortable, especially the beds. The breakfast was amazing every morning with a different breakfast option every morning. The ladies went above and beyond preparing breakfast and extremely nice to visit with. Thank you for everything. Our daughter was admitted to the hospital during our stay and my husband asked for us to keep our room one more night so our daughter could walk the beach and see a few things before we had to leave for home. Thank you for being so kind.

Next to the beach, very clean, modern, very friendly staff, good breakfast included. Room was clean and modern, bed comfy, balcony with nice view, nice area.

The beds were super comfortable. The balcony view was AMAZING. Hot breakfast was delicious and there was plenty for everyone. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We loved being able to walk across the street and arrive on the beach in 5 minutes. There is a big variety of terrific restaurants nearby.

Good property, but guests need to be aware of 2 specific issues: 1 - There is a $15 charge to park "across the street" in their garage. 2 - INSIST on rooms that face WEST, because East-facing rooms overlook the "attached" Spot restaurant & 5 bars that are part of the hotel. If you do get Eastside rooms, be sure they are on the 4th floor or higher, so your room is above the attached restaurant & bars. Eastside rooms on floors 1-3 look directly into the side of the building & have NO view. Public spaces, rooms, & especially the breakfast area all had good housekeeping which is top of our important list. The attached Spot restaurant & 5 bars all remain great spots for food, drinks & gulf views, & they all provide solid service.

The condition of the room was excellent and the view was perfect. The water of the jacuzzi had a lot of bleach, and we had an incident in the jacuzzi.

The updated rooms were very nice, and as usual we enjoyed the beach right across the street. The pool and Jacuzzi are fantastic. With complimentary bicycles you can't ask for anything more. We love it ❤️

It is our first time at Holiday Inn and We just got in love at the hotel. Rooms are very, very, very clean and comfortable. We are very thankful for the hospitality. Brandon Harsh was amazing at the front desk. The pool excellent and bar’s ladies were very attentive. Karaoke night was very fun and a lot of food. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the environment was very peaceful. Diana, the housekeeper was aware of cleaning at the guests area. My kids had a lot of fun with Courtney and Angel in the kid’s playroom. If you are looking for good service and pretty rooms, kids activities, good food and good music this is the place. We are coming back for sure. Thank you!

Perfect location for beach w rental chairs and umbrellas. Pool facilities were family friendly for lils-teen, hot tub for adults, bar next to pool gave us drink options, breakfast in the morning was fantastic food with plenty of options for all and service was outstanding by all employed thru from checkin, onsite store, bar and waitress in breakfast area. Best part newly renovated rooms were clean and BEST OF QUIET. WE WILL DEFINITELY RETURN TO THIS SPOT.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. Everything was well-maintained, and we really appreciated how clean everything was throughout the hotel. There were also fun things for the kids to enjoy, which made our stay even better. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again!

The property was set back from the busy sea wall road so it was very quiet. Room was spacious with a dining table and desk. Bed was very comfortable and there was good quality linen throughout. Staff were amazing. They were very helpful and friendly. Continental style breakfast was provided and while simple, there were plenty of options and buffet style. Waffle machines were great

Great value in Galveston at the Seawall and 61st street. Hotel was fresh, clean and comfortable. The rooms have balconies which is a nice feature when at the island. Breakfast is not amazing but plenty of great breakfast and coffee options in Galveston so get out and explore.

This is a reasonably priced comfortable & quiet hotel just steps to the beach. There was ample parking available. The hotel reception staff is professional and friendly. My room was clean and spacious. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Galveston.

Lobby and room were very clean. A lot of places in Galveston feel “sticky” and damp, but my room was good. Bed was comfortable enough, not amazing but I slept well. Definitely bring your own toilet paper though LOL it was very cheap, which is surprising since the other bathroom products were nice and name brand. All of the employees were very nice, from front desk to maintenance. I was traveling alone and stayed for 3 nights. I felt very safe and felt that if I did happen to have any concerns the employees would be helpful. I didn’t have breakfast there so I can’t speak on that. I thought about hanging out at the pool but it looked a little dirty when I looked at it. Although it might not have been open, I didn’t ask. It was a little rainy and windy during my stay and that could have made the pool look dirty. Decided to spend time at the beach instead. If cheap toilet paper is the worst thing I can come up, I’d say that’s not too shabby. I’ve stayed here before and I’ll stay here again. It’s a good place to stay when you’re on a budget.

We had a great experience. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and our room was comfortable. The staff was always available to help with any questions or requests. Very nice property. Antique furniture and an amazing jacuzzi bath tub. The family that owned the place was extremely accommodating and helpful. The also have an awesome cat who stayed most of the night with us.

Oh! This bed and breakfast was a dream ! Myself, my mother and daughter stayed here recently in the Jasmine Room and were absolutely taken aback by the beauty and historical feel of the home. We were welcomed by the homeowners upon arrival and immediately knew we made the right choice ! They were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We felt right at home in room and had all the amenities we needed. It was a perfect quiet getaway for anyone looking for a relaxing, peaceful stay . The room stayed nice and cold and the morning sun woke us up beautifully. We only stayed for one night but I wish we could have stayed longer ! The bed was comfortable not your typical hotel rock bed ! It was very comfortable and ensured a good nights rest. The sheets were soft and anything you might need was already there in the room. We had breakfast in our room which consisted of homemade cinnamon waffles with cream cheese, eggs, sausages and parfait ! Orange juice and coffee and was divine! Best waffles I have ever had and my 7 yr old Adored it ! Children are not allowed in the dining area which is under stable considering the ambience is very much a calm, relaxing environment but they catered to us in the room and made breakfast in bed even more memorable for her and I really appreciated that. It was located smack in the middle of everything and was a short walk from the beach. We will definitely be back and can’t say anything good things about this place ! Please see for yourself !

The place is full of details, very friendly and cozy, with good contemporary technology for comfort (like the entry bell or the coffee maker). The room is really big and comfortable, with plenty of space, well lit with 5 windows, clean. (the bed was not as comfortable, tend to drag you to the center). The bathroom was clean and well stock (plenty of towels). Love the antiques and details like the singer machine as a coffee bar. Definitely a comeback.

My husband and I had the perfect romantic getaway here this weekend. The owners greeted us at the door, gave us a tour and history of the property and showed us to our room. We stayed in the garden room and it was perfect. The temperature stayed cool, the bed was the most comfortable bed I think I’ve ever slept in. The restroom had all of the things we needed. The house is in walking distance to the seawall and the historic district. I love that we were able to park the car when we got there and walked our whole trip. The pool and courtyard outside were perfect at the end of a long day of walking in Galveston’s humidity. Oh and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious, well timed and generously portioned. We did not feel the need to eat again until dinner time. We had a wonderful time and plan on returning for future romantic getaways. Book this Inn now; you won’t regret it!

What can I say? Every aspect was 5 stars! The house is beautiful and wonderfully maintained. Everything was clean and comfortable. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful. The bed was soooo comfortable, the food was fabulous. One of our best stays on our travels ever. And the location was perfect, very walkable distance to so much and super available parking if you have a car. We loved our time there and would not hesitate to stay there again. Thanks for the lovely time.

Best part is location. On the seawall although at the end of strip. Quiet location. Room was clean. It’s an old hotel with a very slow elevator and not in great shape but clean. Bed was comfortable and pillows were very nice! I looked at the breakfast and didn’t eat because it wasn’t anything I had to have. There’s a waffle maker and there was a crowns for breakfast. Lots of cruisers renting the night. Lots of kids for the cruise. Pool was in use. We stayed in the suite on 2nd floor near elevator and it’s huge. Old furniture but clean. There’s a large jacuzzi tub in the middle of the room but we didn’t use it.

From the minute we arrived the young lady at the front desk was so nice! My husband is a Military Veteran and has a bad back. We are limited to what we can do however, we can still do a lot! We were able to switch out room from upstairs to downstairs with no problem! She even put us right by the door for easy loading and unloading. We don’t travel light. The room was kept clean everyday by housekeeping. We had fresh clean towels and the breakfast was amazing! We loved and enjoyed the pool everyday! Loved this place as it’s kept clean and convenient. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so comfortable. My husband was even able to cook our steaks on his small grill. We will definitely be cooback!! Thank you as we spent our 45th anniversary weekend in a fun & relaxing place!

I’m happy for recommend this Hotel.We stayed one night and left the car there for free while we were on a cruise. We used Uber smoothly to get to the ship and back. Our stay and the extended use of the parking lot worked without a hitch. I’d be happy to stay there again. Part of the parking is behind the building; that parking is somewhat illuminated. The parking in front felt quite safe, as did The Hotel interior. There are two entrances to the parking lot. The front entrance, may scrape the bottom of your car if you don’t take it fairly slowly. The side entrance has no problem at all. The staff was friendly and helpful. There’s a lot of restaurants within easy driving distance. Our room was quiet and clean. The beds were comfortable.

Our family came to enjoy our 5 day beach trip and Best Western Plus exceeded our expectations, just like it did last year which is why we chose it again! This hotel is so clean, the beds are super comfortable, very family oriented, the breakfast buffet was above and beyond. The staff were so helpful and nice, offering assistance without us asking or anything. All of the amenities added that much more fun to the trip! Thank you! We’ll be back.

If you are like me and will book a hotel based on reviews, then this is the review for you. My family wanted a hotel close to the beach and this was the spot. The location is perfect and there are restaurants that are walking distance. Now, let me tell you about our experience. When we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest smiles and most helpful employees. The valet service was helpful and directed us to the front desk. The agents there were extremely helpful and gave us the perfect room with the perfect view. Our room was spotless and I MEAN spotless. It looked like we were the first guests to stay in that room. Every single employee that we encountered in the lobby or hallways would stop to greet us by saying hello and asked if we needed anything. If you have young kids, you understand that they constantly want to eat. My picky eater wants to come back to eat more pizza. The food was delicious!!! The pool was fun. The kids played and the pool bar is an extreme plus. We spent more time in the pool than the beach. It was neat to see that there were employees constantly around cleaning and picking up inside and outside. They made the extra effort to offer pool toys and bubbles to entertain the kids. Moral of this story: If you want a beautiful hotel at the perfect location with the kindest staff, choose Hilton Galveston Hotel. I promise you won't regret it.

Great experience. Clean hotel. The staff was incredible. Jamie at checkin was so kind and helpful. We went for a small hen party weekend getaway. Room was clean, hotel was clean. We spent all of our time at the pool. There is a swim up bar and that area is 21 up which was nice. Shockingly, the pool stayed open until midnight. Super cool. The bar staff at the pool was fantastic. Naomi, Angie, Gina, Karen and Jennifer made delicious cocktails and they were so fun to be around. We had a great time with them. Lots of laughs. They also made sure that we were safe so we felt very comfortable as a small group of women out there. The location of the hotel was prime. Landry’s is basically in the parking lot and rainforest cafe on the other side of Landry’s. Pier 61 was half mile walk. Small fridge in the room was great. We had an island view room with two queens. Island view room with balcony does look out to the convention center but we spent our time in the pool so did not matter to us. Make the bell dude was nice and full of jokes. There’s a Starbucks in the lobby. Great place. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

We had the absolute best experience over Fourth of July weekend at the Hilton in Galveston, thanks to the incredible service from Gina and Dawn! Gina was a true gem—she constantly greeted everyone with kindness and went out of her way to make the kids feel special by handing out fun goodies. Her warm, welcoming spirit set such a positive tone for our stay and made families feel truly appreciated. Dawn, who was working at the pool, was equally amazing. Always friendly, attentive, and helpful, she made sure everyone was having a great time while staying safe and comfortable. Whether it was offering a towel, answering a question, or just checking in with a smile, Dawn went above and beyond every single day. It’s rare to come across two people who genuinely care and make such a difference in your stay. Thank you, Gina and Dawn, for making our holiday weekend so memorable—we are actually heading back this evening for another weekend stay.

Good breakfast, clean room, nice pool & hottub

Super fun, cool vibes while still being family-friendly. The outdoor, ocean-side is perfection. The rooms and lobby etc. could use some attention however it was still clean, cute, and comfortable. And the outdoor amenities including pool, hot tub right next to the bar, ocean-view, friendly staff, and delicious food at the bar/restaurant make up for anything it lacks PLUS some! For the price, it’s absolutely amazing. I hope to come back and that they’re able to stay open for a long time.

We stayed in an upgraded king size room with an ocean view. It had a nice beach-vibe and it was updated with a retro refrigerator and microwave. Our room had plenty of storage including nightstand on each side of the bed, it had many outlets in various locations, much counter space, and it had a table with 2 chairs. The one thing it does not have which surprised me was a luggage rack, I asked for one but I was told they don’t include those, (strange, as I thought I had read it had one; I am fussy about where I leave my luggage and that was my biggest disappointment.) The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The pool was only for guests and they enforced that, it was very nice. You could tell they had updated the pool and they cleaned it daily. There was a bar located in the pool area for guest only, not only did they have alcoholic beverages, but they had good food too. Finally, the breakfast was good with two ladies that would serve scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy, and tater tots. There were other options that were self serve such as cereal, grits, waffles (or maybe it was pancakes), lots of homemade pastries and cookies, milk, juice and coffee. We were satisfied with the breakfast however we were lucky as the weather was nice as you either took it outside to eat or to your room. They allowed us to drop our luggage off early and even called us when our room was ready earlier than we expected. The staff was great!

I love staying at this property! The rooms are nice, beds comfy, always clean, the pool is great, both restaurants are amazing and the view is perfect! My only complaint is that so many of us prefer the upstairs rooms with ocean view but the stairs are treacherous!! They're so steep and make it difficult for the older customers and/or someone like me with a bad leg due to a car wreck! But staying downstairs only leaves a view of the cars parked in front of the rooms. I spoke to several of the older customers staying near me who felt the same!! Maybe investing in a zig zag ramp or rebuilding the stairs so they aren't so steep would be awesome!! Otherwise the property is my favorite!!

Great Ocean view from the balcony , our room was spacious and we really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub! The staff were amazing. coffee and tea were great and appreciated the 24 hr. Availability of it too! Loved watching the fishtank in the lobby. easy walk across the street to the beach ⛱️ great location to grocery store, and restraunts also. They have quite a variety of things for breakfast overall this is a great place to stay 😀

The location was excellent next to the few fast food chains, great restaurant next to the front door, Kroger 2 min walk, beach across the street.Super friendly stuff, hot breakfast with great add ones for waffles during weekends, grilled vegetables and cheese omlet.Ms Alba and her helpers at the breakfast cleaning tables and adding food all the time.Hotel although it's old facilities is with no odors in the hallways and stuff is putting extra effort to clean it all the time, towels and basic cleaning every day, full cleaning just ask.When we arrived received text message from the customer service and anything that you need just text and they respond quickly and resolve any issue.Beds were super comfy!Great stay for the family vacation.Also Rainbow caffe is 2 min drive just FYI All rooms are with the partial sea view.There is indoor pool that we didn't have time to visit.Great hotel and service for the price.

Great location, gorgeous view, fantastic breakfast, and wonderful staff! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Every staff member we encountered spoke to us and asked if we were enjoying our stay. I had called with a request two days before arrival, I was met with acknowledgement and follow through upon arrival. Check- in was fast and easy. Breakfast offered waffles, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, eggs, ect.... They stocked it through 10:00 so it wasn't picked over even when arriving late. Location couldn't have been better for us. We parked the car on day one, unloaded our beach Cruisers and that was that. Never moved the car until check-out! The Beach, Kroger, Restaurants, fast food and souvenirs were close. The view!!!

Outstanding and very accommodating staff. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Very clean and comfortable. Amazing view. Walk away from the beach. Any types of food you can think of are just a walk away. Krogers right across the street. Short drive away from pleasure pier. Moody gardens is about 10 minute drive away. We ended up extending our stay for the rest of our Texas trip and just stayed in Galveston, not long drives away from many attractions and amusement parks in other places in Texas. Everything about this hotel was exceptional. Would definitely stay again!

It wasn’t bad honestly the only thing I genuinely did not like per say would be the shower head, it was very rusty I would like to believe the hotel is getting enough traction and money for some form of update in the bathrooms? Which the bathroom itself wasn’t bad it’s just the faucet and the shower heads that looked gross. The room itself gave a nice beach vibe with the different color walls and pictures. The bed wasn’t bad either it slept fairly nice. The room all in all was actually very clean. You guys should give the cleaning staff a raise honestly because I did a walk through inspection and everything was spotless clean. The balcony view was very lovely being able to see the water from up top. The only other complaint would be the smells in the hallways.

Holiday Inn Express never disappoints myself and my family. The location is amazing. Hospitality is amazing. Room is always clean and cold and amazing. View of the beach is amazing. Front desk was friendly and helpful from check in to check out! Our room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very good! They had a variety of options to choose from. I love the beach front view; you can literally walk to the beach. 10/10; I do plan on booking again :)

The breakfast was so good! There was so much variety, and everything was delicious. The staff helping with breakfast was also very friendly and patient with my 7 year old son. Also the front desk staff was also very friendly and always willing to quickly give us extra towels or anything we asked for. Robert, the front desk clerk was especially kind, helpful, and friendly. I also loved being right across the street from the ocean.

The breakfast was adequate and the breakfast room was clean. I liked how you could come down and get coffee anytime. The staff at the hotel was very nice and helpful. they let us store our luggage in a back room until it was time to check-in. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable.

The environment, surroundings, pool, staff, cleaning, the room was beautiful and big. The bathroom is big and clean. The beds were so comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and hot. The pool was open and clean.

Our stay at the La Quinta in Texas City was great. The hotel was great and the staff was professional, helpful and friendly. The desk clerk on duty around 6 pm from 9 - 12 Apr was amazing. I didn't get her name, but she went over and beyond helping us, both on the phone and in person. She should be considered for a raise. She was a great representative for your hotel.

During my stay I was impressed by its exceptional service, and comfort. The room was spotless, and beautifully designed. Amenities like the complementary breakfast, indoor pool, free parking, and pet stay were outstanding. The staff ensure a seamless stay and check in. Ideally located in the right in the center and near Kemah, Galveston, and Houston. This hotel is perfect for business or leisure. Highly recommended!

It’s just across from the beach access stairs, convenient for early morning walks and easy to come back to room after a day in the sand. Shower by the pool to rinse sand away. Washer and dryer to clean the sandy towels and start fresh the next day. The rooms are huge, beds are comfortable, and underneath parking to keep your car out of the sun. Breakfast is great and the staff is friendly!

Everything was great from the friendly staff to the clean room and relaxing pool area. The location is perfect, right by the beach with easy access to restaurants and local spots. It was peaceful, comfortable, and just what I needed.

Room was clean, sheets was clean shower curtain rail was broke so curtain wouldn't fully close so water was getting on the floor we had to use towels to soak it up We asked for a sea view room but didnt get it also had no balcony which was disappointing our view was nasty , staff were friendly and the pool was nice all in all a good stay

Very beachy, super clean and the AC works AMAZING in the room no humidity when it’s at 63! Perfect. The beach is right across the street and the staff was so helpful for anything! Good breakfast too and the waffles were great! Will be back!

We are frequent travelers and have had our share of icky hotels. This hotel was very clean and up to date and it had a fresh clean smell. Lobby and breakfast area were quite nice. Check in was very quick and easy. Our room was set up well and the a/c was quiet and cool. The halls were quiet and beds were comfy so we slept well. The breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold items. All together we were very pleased. We will be back.

The front desk staff and housekeeping are friendly and welcoming. My room was very clean and comfortable. The property is well maintained and clean also. There are plenty of dining options within a one mile radius as well as shopping. There are plenty of parking spots and night lights keep the area illuminated.

We had to make a last minute change to our plans, and we’re lucky enough to get the last room available. The staff was super friendly. We got a text message once we were in the room to see if we needed anything - and this was like almost 10pm! We actually did have an issue with thebtv remote, but they weee knocking on our door within 15 mins with a replacement. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. And there were lots of places to plug things in including usb ports. Everyone we encountered from management to housekeeping were extremely friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay! Our suite was very large and clean , we loved the balcony and views of the water. Friendly and helpful staff. We received a great recommendation for a shuttle to the Port. Loved the decor, bright and cheerful and we thought the room was so comfortable, really nice to have a kitchenette and living room space. Breakfast was good and we liked the 2 different options for breakfast locations. We didn't have a car so we appreciated close access to a trolley stop and walking distance to Gaido's Restaurant and others. Loved walking across the street and walking the beach in the morning!

100% recommend for overnight or multiple night stay. We (2 adults/2 kids) spent the day at East Beach and were too tired and hungry to drive back to Houston. The front desk staff was very helpful with booking a 2 queen bed + Sofa Bed room with a view. The room was clean, spacious, had a full fridge, dishwasher, and fully stocked kitchenette. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We didn't come prepared for an overnight stay, so we appreciated the full size soaps, lotions, and numerous towels. The guest laundry room was also very clean and washed+dried a load in an hour. Also, the parking lot was a decent size and felt safe because it was well lit. The hot breakfast was a great bonus too. Will definitely be back!

We arrived at the Hotel sunday around 4 there was a lot of ppl there but the ladies checking us in got all of us checked in fast and with a smile! My daughters and I hit our room key and went straight up to our room. We were so happy to walk into a clean very spacious room! There was a full sz refrigerator a sink a disposable a dishwasher there’s dishes silverware coffee cups even a Toaster & microwave!!! We had two Queen beds and a Pull out sofa! Plenty of lamps and Tables with USB connections for all our devices! In the morning we went dwn stairs & enjoyed the amazing breakfast they offer from 6-9 It was sooo good! My 10 yr old that eats nothing enjoyed every bite!! And there’s plenty of seating all over!! We also got a rm w/a balcony ocean view It was so great!! The only thing i didn’t like was having to pay for our parking each nite. The gates need to be closed if they’re going to charge us. other then that It was very nice We will definitely be coming back to this hotel! thank you Hilton for such an amazing stay!!

We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, size of room and all the amenities. We absolutely love the location because it is across the street from the beach, walking distance from local eateries and a convenience store plus the views of the beach priceless. Make sure you book a balcony overlooking the beach, we didn't but definitely will on our next trip. A huge plus is how close we were to the cruise ports maybe 4 miles away. The staff was super friendly and helpful, we love that they had drinks, beer and snacks available for purchase and a bar. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Very nice hotel! Very clean great breakfast in the morning. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Really nice gym and laundry area. Pool looked nice, a bit smaller in person. Was too cold out to try and use. Walking distance to the beach. Great Mexican restaurant called Salsa within walking distance. Quick ride to the cruise port. Also not far from pleasure pier. Was too cold and rainy to go. Nice sized rooms and comfortable beds. The pull out sofa was so so. The two young adults that slept there were a bit sore in the morning. Lots of area in the lobby to sit and play card games. Bar area and foosball tables. Would highly recommend.

Pros: Great view from the balcony of the Gulf, the Pleasure Pier, and the historic architecture surrounding the seawall. Directly next door to Miller's Seawall Grill for a fantastic and affordable breakfast. Very little traffic compared to further down the seawall, so nights and early mornings on the balcony were peaceful. The door blocked all sound from outside and the street Nice pool with a swim-up bar. The bar was a bit pricey, but that's to be expected for a resort, and it was worth it to be able to wade up to the bar in between tanning in the lounge chairs. The pool is NOT heated, but we visited in the first week of October, and the weather was still warm enough to swim during midday. We saw several small children braving the water even after dark. Very nice staff. As many other reviews mentioned, you will see the same friendly folks throughout your trip, and everyone seemed content working for the hotel and were good at their jobs. One con: Yes, the main elevator is out of order. This was never a problem for us, but the service elevator IS small, and on the morning of our check out there was a traffic jam for the elevator as everyone was trying to check out at the same time. I hope Hilton sees these reviews and helps this hotel fix the elevator to create a truly 5-star experience at this hidden gem.

I was very apprehensive when I read the reviews for this older hotel on Galveston's seawall. But we had a delightful two day stay. The location was unbeatable, directly across from the beach just up from the historic pleasure pier and some of the best casual dining in Galveston. The room was impeccably clean, the AC worked like a charm without being noisy, the bed was first rate, as were the towels and toiletries (Crabtree and Evelyn). Yes, the room decor was older, and being on the seafront you could see the wear on the railings of the balcony paint. But if what you are looking for is clean, comfortable, and safe on the sea wall, it is hard to top this older hotel, especially for the price. The service at the front desk on check-in and check-out was low key, but polite and professional. We were sent a text by the front desk agent, Emanuel , after checking in to inquire if we needed anything and once a day while we were staying there. We did not eat there, but we made good use of the mini fridge and coffee maker during our stay. Yes, you do pay for parking, but that is true for everywhere on the Seawall, and the convenience made up for the modest charge per night. We really did not have the experience of the recent negative reviews of this very nice older sea front hotel.

My family and friends had a delightful time. I was a little hesitant at first because of a few reviews. I was greeted by Tae at the front desk whom was amazing on getting us the right rooms for my family to be together. She is an outstanding host who provided us with all the great local restaurants with best prices. Don’t get me wrong, the other staff members were also great but she really stood out. swim up bar was a great place to relax and have fun. But was more amazing is the beach was right across the street with beautiful views each morning. The only downside was that one of the elevators were down and sometimes it was a little wait but not bad at all. Great place and fun staff !!!!!

We stayed on the 3rd floor beach side with a balcony. Our room had just been renovated. The service was great. The hotel and bar did a great job. We ordered the shrimp cocktail and the shrimp basket. The shrimp was very fresh and the fries were really good. Will definitely stay there again. Other reviews stated they were charged extra for things, but we did not run into that at all and our parking was free.

The staff was excellent; great customer service and friendly on a consistent basis. The swimming pool was really great and the hotel restaurant/bar next to it was pretty good when we ate a late nigh supper there. The standout of the room was the bathroom. Was modern, clean and comfortable. However, the rooms could be cleaner; needing something more than the daily cleaning by the housekeeping staff. The building is showing its age and use over time being so close to the gulf things just break down and wear faster than normal it seems.

If you're looking for a clean, safe place to stay, this is your place. The staff is friendly and helpful. We came with our dog, and they were very accommodating. The location is very close to the beach. Less than a five-minute walk from the hotel to the beach. There is a pool. Though smaller than a resort, it is a great relaxation or a spot for your kids to get energy out. The complementary breakfast has variety, but it is a typical complementary breakfast. There are hot food and cold food options. Basic, but definitely a money saver when vacationing with family. There isn't a dog park, but there is plenty of grass for your dog to do their business. Also, they have two dog clean-up stations for the responsible dog owners who clean up after their dogs. You do have to pay a small parking fee, but there is a parking garage and open parking behind the building. Overall, it was a great stay and I would stay there again if I ever find myself in the area.

The hotel is in excellent condition. It offers parking for $15 per night. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are spacious and have a contemporary style. Rooms with a balcony have a partial view of the sea. Breakfast is served from 6 to 10 am and, while simple, is quite complete and of good quality. Pets are allowed for an additional fee. We were assigned a room on the 5th floor with a balcony. The view is quite good. It is not directly in front of the beach, but it is less than a block away.

We had such a great stay. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Galveston and this one has been by far the best. Very clean, safe, PERFECT location. It’s a very easy, safe and fast walk to the beach. Across the street from Walmart (busy street but not a highway. Can easily walk there for last minute items or snacks and groceries for the stay.) Everything is card-entry which I love. Makes me feel safe taking my kids. It’s a good part of town. Breakfast was great, always stocked and clean.

Stayed at this hotel several times pre-cruise and it has always been very clean and accommodating. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. Parking is $10 but most hotels charge parking now. We would definitely stay here again. The breakfast bar was very nice and clean as well. We stayed here for one night before boarding on our cruise ship.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is excellent for all activities. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The daily breakfast was enjoyable. We especially liked that the hotel is pet friendly.

My family came down to visit and we all got rooms here so we could be close together. We had a blast!!! Our rooms were clean and the staff was attentive to our needs. The furniture and carpet are a little old. Vacation or leisure, time is what you make it though. We brought our BBQ pit, prepared the food in the rooms which have sinks, stove top, fridge, and microwaves. We went to the patio which is near the indoor pool. The children had a blast playing in the pool and some of the adults got into the jacuzzi. We gathered on the patio and played music, dominos, cards and enjoyed one another. I appreciate the staff for making sure the rooms were all together on one floor and comfortable.

great overall experience, great friendly staff, modern rooms nice big TV's and biggest plus is the kitchenette perfect for workers. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Also it was very clean and quiet and peaceful

Beds/bedding/pillows are comfy!! It’s a clean hotel. Pool was a good temp. We are military & had a scheduling mishap and I was past our free cancellation time, but they were still able to accompany us for different days no hesitation. 2nd time with baymont hotels and both times the customer service has been superior! I enjoyed how quiet this hotel was as well. It is about 20 minutes out from Galveston Seawall, but we didn’t mind. Housekeeper was really nice as well! Breakfast- it’s decent for a free breakfast, regular coffee, Texas waffles, cereal, oatmeal, toast, muffins, yogurt, apples and banana. Juice is VERY sweet though. But the juice is my only real con and didn’t affect my 5* rating. I will stay again.

This place is amazing. The hotel is beautiful. The staff are so professional and very friendly. Our room was perfect and well stocked. The breakfast was good and the eating area was very clean. The indoor pool was breathtaking. Over all this is hands down the best hotel I've stayed in. I will be back. And Baymount by Wyndham get my highest recommendation. I'm telling everybody I know. The best hotel experience I've ever had. Loved it!!

The room itself was absolutely wonderful, very good decorating. I don't know who did that, but they were right on. Uh, the clouds on the ceiling make it very relaxing. The fact that the windows have a total block out shade on them is perfect, and that's, it's so spacious and and comfy very clean. Very happy with our choice.

We loved this cozy place! The view of the beach right across the street was amazing as well. I loved the gated community and how safe it felt. It was so quiet around us it felt like we had the whole building to ourselves! The pool was very clean and our kids loved it too! We will for sure be making reservations at The Victorian from now on for all our future beach trips!

Awesome Beach View from this property! Great location close to restaurants, grocery stores and most important the beach is right across the street. The bathrooms are spacious and have lots of counter space. The kitchen was nicely stocked. This unit would be a 10 with a few updates. The management team was great and friendly. Due to an emergency we had to extend our stay and they were very helpful and accommodating. We didn't get to utilize the amenities due to our emergency but, the pools were very inviting! I'm sure that the few issues I listed below will be quickly taken care of.

I always love staying at The Victorian..excellent location, condo was so nice and cozy, parking is great, pools are so nice and clean, i feel safe inside the gates. I will always stay here. Note to the propert management team...the chairs on the balcony would be so much better if they were taller. When you sit on them, the top beam of the handrail totally blocks out the ocean. Not a big deal, but that's one of my favorite things to do.

Unit was clean, well kept. I would just suggest new curtains for the sliding glass door and darker/ light blocking curtains for the bedroom due to the light coming in from the walkway. The pools were not as clean as they should've been, but we didn't really use them. I'm sure it's hard to keep them clean across from the beach. We do love this property and will return in the future.

Very clean and comfortable rooms with an amazing view. The beds are very comfortable. They have mini fridges in all the rooms as well as microwaves. The front desk clerk named Gloria is very friendly and helpful. She remembers me every time I stay.

We stayed here the night before our cruise. I cannot say enough about the patience and customer service of the front desk staff. I witnessed other guests requiring extra patience with their inquiries, and the front desk delivered with a smile without hesitation. Their shuttle driver for the cruise port was hardworking, pleasant,helpful, and a safe driver. No, the hotel is not new, nor is it a 5-star resort, but it was clean, with great staff, and in a good location, walking distance to the beach. There is a movie theater to the side of the hotel across the street, and a small shopping center one block from it toward the beach. It was a 2 minute walk to this shopping center that included a small restaurant and a gas station with a min market that sold sunblock, summer clothes, water/sand toys, as well as snacks/drinks. Within a 3 minute wals, across from the shopping center on the beachside, is restaurant Jimmy's on the Pier, which also has a gift shop.

The hotel was overall clean, had spacious rooms and lobby, a decent breakfast with hot and cold selections, friendly front desk staff that let us check in early with a family of 8 including a 15 month old. We were in walking distance of the beach and lunch and took an Uber for dinner to Bubba Gumps. We booked the shuttle to the cruise port. While waiting to check in we incentivized that the shuttle starts to run behind due to port traffic, so we booked the 9 am shuttle. It picked us up around 9:15 am. The decor is a little outdated, but with 4 people in each room the large space, kitchenette and couch area were nice to spread out and even play some games with our whole family. Overall our stay was 4 out of 5!

If you’re going to ready any review, this is the one to read. This hotel was amazing. When I booked this hotel the reviews scared me and kept me up at night. I stayed 3 days-2 nights. I never once saw a roach. The hotel is extremely clean as well and the staff were extremely nice. When you check-in you get 2 key cards (unless by yourself) as well as a parking pass. They will ask if you would like house keeping, but house keeping will only come in your room if you say yes. If you say no you have to go down for extra towels if needed. The room i stayed in was very clean. Yes maybe a crumb sized stain or 2 on the bedding but the sheets were clean. The bathroom was also clean and even came with shampoo, conditioner, and lotion dispensers attached to the walls. The only part of the room was the balcony but that’s just because of bird poop which is understandable as seagulls are everywhere in Galveston. Breakfast is at 6am-9am and has cereal, oatmeal, waffles( texas-shaped that you make yourself), muffins, bread to toast, already made(eggs, sausage, potatoes) coffee, hot water, tea, cold water, apple and orange juice, lemonade, and 2% and whole milk. The breakfast area is very clean. There is an on-site snack and drink vending machine as well as an ice machine. The pool hours are 9am-10pm. The pool is heated and clean with zero cloudiness. I had an amazing stay so don’t let the other reviews scare you.

Nice place to stay, easy access to the beach and bubba gumps. We don’t do rides but it’s a short walk to pleasure pier. You get a nice view of the beach from the balcony and can annoy the sea breeze. The breakfast was great had coffee and sausage with eggs.

The facility is older and has been renovated at some point. It was overall clean and room was decent. The shuttle driver was really friendly. The front desk person was helpful and ready for us upon arrival. You can’t go wrong with the ability to walk down to the beach and boardwalk
