Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. We especially loved the stunning mountain views from our room and the relaxing jacuzzi. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful situated, clean rooms in traditional house, beautiful view and interior. Breakfast was very good and jacuzzi with castle view - breathtaking. One of my best hostel stays !!!!

Host was very very kind, breakfast was perfect and the views were stunning. They also have a jacuzzi overlooking the entire valley, it was incredible.

The friendliest staff I've ever met, and the facilities were a beautiful refurbished old house perfect if you like old-style architecture and interior design. Although it is a bit of a climb to get there, the view you get while soaking in a jacuzzi is completely worth it.

This hotel only has around 10/15 rooms - meaning its very quiet and a pleasure to stay here. The view from our room/ balcony was amazing, overlooking the old town and the castle, with the pool to the side. The hotel feels very luxurious with two small pools, a small gym, and comfortable sun loungers and seating areas. The staff were friendly and approachable and the rooms were comfortable and clean with a kettle included. The restaurant food was lovely and some of the tastiest we had during our whole trip to Albania. Breakfast was also good, with a mix of cereal, pancakes, bread, meats, bakery items, cheese, spreads and salads. There was also parking available for free at the hotel. (Which is needed as its at least a 20 minute walk down a steep hill to get to the bottom of the town).

Kerculla Resort is an absolute gem! The views of the castle and mountains hit us right when we arrived, and we were hooked. Our room was cozy yet sleek. The infinity pools were pure bliss with a view of the whole city. The restaurant served up fresh, delicious Albanian dishes. The staff were super warm and attentive. Evenings on the terrace, with the city glowing below and stars above, were just magical. The twisty road up was a bit tricky but it was worth it and about 5 minutes by car from the castle. Everything was perfect—beautiful, relaxing, and flawless. I can't wait for my next visit.

The hotel has a great location, it is set on the highest part of town, so has great views. The roads leading up to the hotel go through the old part of town, so the roads are a bit narrow, to start with. The rooms are mostly wooden items and has a good walk-in shower. The breakfast is good buffet style. The hotel has two swimming pools on the roof so great views. We have stayed here before and would do again. Has a nice restaurant which is used for breakfast and lunch and dinner, great food and great views.

Amazing place! Beautiful views, tasty food in the restaurant, nice to have a pool overlooking the mountains. Rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are big and comfy. Love the fact that it’s not a massive, huge hotel - even though it’s not small either it feels cozy. The staff is exceptionally friendly!

An amazing hotel on a hilltop with wonderful views. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The premises have a pool and a poolside area with great views over the area. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful. I'm certainly going to visit again in the future.

During our stay at Hotel Fantasy in Gjirokaster, we had a truly wonderful experience. The view from the hotel was simply amazing, offering breathtaking vistas of the surrounding mountains. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind, always ready to assist with any requests or questions we had. One of the highlights of the hotel was its fantastic location. We found that all the must-visit attractions were within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. The fact that the hotel was situated in the bazaar neighborhood added to its charm and provided a unique cultural experience. Our room was neat and comfortable, allowing us to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing. The balcony with its mountain view was a delightful addition, providing us with a tranquil spot to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings. In summary, our stay at Hotel Fantasy was a memorable one. The amazing view, helpful staff, great location, and comfortable room with a balcony made our time in Gjirokaster truly special. Hotel Fantasy is really a paradise fantasy. Fantastic location on a hill with astonishing city and mountain views. Breathtaking! And outstanding respectfull and polite and friendly staff. Very clean room. Thanks for the upgrade to a room with balcony. Excellent wifi. Great shower. Restaurant and bar terrace. They serve good mojito's and ice coffee. Also a lot of restaurants and bars around the corner. Only 15 minutes walking up to the castle.They arranged a friendly taxi driver, Najib, to bring me to Sarande for € 50. It really was the best location and hotel of my journey of 2 weeks in Albania!! I am very enthouastic about my stay.

This is a great modern full service hotel in an excellent location. We were walking distance to the castle, the museums, and the dozens of restaurants and shops in the historic center. Beautiful views from the hotel’s large outdoor deck, a great place for enjoy breakfast or cocktails. The staff was friendly and helpful and they provided a delicious daily breakfast. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Parking was convenient in a public garage, less than a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Upon our arrive in the garage the hotel sent a staff member to meet us, help with our luggage, and show us the walking route to the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Hotel Fantasy.

Wonderful experience overall. Smooth check in, clean spacious room with a gorgeous view, decent breakfast and THE MOST perfect location right in the centre of old Gjirokastër. The staff made the whole experience so much better. Friendly faces who were so helpful every time we had a query or needed something and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Thank you Elga, Alex and the rest of the staff! Do keep in mind there's really no direct road to the hotel so if you're taking a taxi/going on your own, you might need to walk a bit with your luggage. They were kind enough to drop us to our bus stop when we were leaving.

We loved the location - so central to old town sites and to restaurants! the room was very modern, quiet and clean and had fabulous views over Gjirokaster! the staff were amazing. we were lost when two off duty staff found us and rang the hotel to get someone to show us where the parking station was - they came in the car to direct. breakfast was great too.

The facilities and breakfast were amazing. The property owner was very nice and even offered us coffee and a delicious dessert when we arrived. The location was near the centre of the old town, and it’s pretty close to restaurants and attractions. Five stars!!

One of the best places i stayed at in my travelling life. The host was very welcoming, she speaks Italian as well and made us the best breakfast. The place is very spacious and has a view of the castle.

Location: The property is situated up a small hill with somewhat steep stairs, making it a bit challenging to carry heavy luggage. However, it’s still very close to the bazaar (about 10 minutes on foot) and just a short uphill walk to the castle. Despite its proximity to the main attractions, the area is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Although the property is a bit tricky to find, one of the staff members, who also helped carry our luggage up the stairs, came down to greet us and show us the parking spot, which, while extremely convenient for travelers with a car, is located down the road, not directly on the property. Staff: The staff were exceptional—attentive, friendly, and always willing to assist with helpful information and suggestions. They made the experience even more enjoyable, and we felt very welcome throughout our stay. They also recommended a local restaurant that we deeply enjoyed. Rooms: The room was very clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with a perfect blend of modern and traditional elements, and a bathroom that exceeded our expectations. Breakfast: The breakfast was very satisfying, offering a superb variety of freshly made, high-quality dishes. It was incredibly fulfilling, providing a great start to the day.

Our stay in this hotel was outstanding! Room was spacious, clean with comfortable beds and welcoming water in minibar. Breakfast are served, very delicious and they serve fresh orange juice (not usual). Terrace is awesome with nice view. Hotel is seen from distance, easily accesible. They help you with luggages and park your car. City centre is about 15min, they will show you shortcut, it is very steep uphill as all city is. There was the best staff ever, so nice, helpfull, polite, attentive. Just stay here and you will see :)

Great views of the valley. Good restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Super clean (when we arrived they were even soaping the outside terrace tiles..). Decorated with an eye for detail. Very comfortable beds and bathroom. It feels homely and cosy. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, like preparing breakfast before hours early morning, or pointing you in the right direction, giving you a refreshment when coming back or giving the kids an extra treat, all without having to ask anything. Also the first place on our Balkan roadtrip where someone immediately helped us carry the luggage up the stairs and even parked our car. It’s located well, just a short 5-minute walk from the old town and bazaar.

Absolutely fantastic stay! It was very convenient, close to the city entrance and they parked the car for us. I love that service because Albanian roads are a little hard to navigate especially on the hills. It was 7 minutes to the Castle and city centre, so it was quiet with a spectacular view. Honestly such a gem! The staff were very friendly and helpful, responded immediately to messages. The room was comfortable with a gorgeous view, super clean and welcoming. The breakfast was a delight! Thank you!!

I'd give 11/10 if it was possible, this was the friendliest guest house I've ever stayed at. Zamira and her family are sweet, friendly and extremely attentive and they go above and beyond - the room was as clean and hygienic as it gets with freshly pressed bed sheets, it was cosy and comfortable, equipped with AC. The breakfast every day was delicious and opulent with fresh fruit and vegetable, home made pancakes, eggs, sausages, toasts, cheese, honey.. Zamira was even so sweet and did some laundry for us when we ran out of clean t-shirts (traveling with backpacks). On the last day her husband drove us to the bus station and put us on the right bus to Saranda, all in all we were humbled and endlessly grateful for their sweet and welcoming attitude and we can wholeheartedly recommend the place to any weary traveller and adventurer. Plus the location is amazing, not even 5 minutes to the old Bazaar and yet silent and pleasant at night. To anyone who is planning to stay - please give a hug and a big smile to this lovely family who make you feel like you've come home, we had a wonderful time in Gjirokastra!

The rooms were cosy, warm and spotlessly clean with embroidered hand towels and lace edged top sheets on the bed. The breakfast was excellent - freshly cooked, varied, plentiful and delicious - with freshly squeezed orange juice + fresh fruit +choice of freshly brewed rosemary tea and coffee. Our hostess, Samira, was delightful and so welcoming. - always smiling and exceptionally generous. She wanting to do everything for us, even holding an umbrella when it was raining so we did not get wet walking to the breakfast area! On arrival and when we returned from sightseeing she made us fresh tea/coffee served with with biscuits and copious amounts of fruit. She is one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever met.

The proprietor was very friendly and warm from the start. We were greeted with welcoming drinks which included their yummy homemade wine! The location is fantastic and our room had an unobstructed view of the mountain range. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Our breakfast spot was cosy and decorated with Albanian household items - giving us the home stay experience. The proprietor gifted us with a pair of knitted socks & packed the breakfast for our onward journey leftovers (as it was impossible to finish the homemade spread in one shot). We’re so glad we had Ahmetaj on our Gjirokaster retreat! The amazing views came with a price though - the steep drive up and narrow path made us quite nervous! (don’t blindly follow google maps😉)

A very nice family runs this Guest House. They greeted us with the warmest hospitality we ever encountered: saved a parking space for us, they showed us to our rooms (even helping me out with bringing the backpack upstairs)..., the husband who runs the place with his wife even showed us to the center of the city (just a few minutes away from their place, very close). The Guest House is simply beautiful and lovely, it was like being at home. Stunning views, comfortable rooms (the pillow was great, I slept so well thanks to the pillow!), very clean, we had everything we needed. The breakfast was simply amazing, home cooked by the nice lady who runs the place, with their genuine products (home made honey and fig jam, fresh and tasty vegetables, fresh eggs... everything was delicious). I highly recommend staying here if you want to experiece the warm welcome of this family, you will remember it as a highlight in your albanian experience!

Beautiful, cosy house with the perfect mix of clean modern rooms with the traditional decoration. The owner Samira was so warm and lovely, made us feel very welcome with cake and coffee as soon as we arrived. Plus our room had an amazing view of the valley. Traditional Albanian breakfast that Samira cooked was delicious as well

Can't rate Hotel Gjirokastra highly enough! Absolutely beautiful room and spotless - cool, calm and super comfortable. The pool is small but fantastic and so welcome after the heat of the day, a real treat for a weary traveller! The welcome is so warm and the lady who runs the hotel is so lovely. She welcomed us with ice cold water and watermelon on arrival which was so kind and just perfect on a hot day. The location is perfect too - moments away from the castle and the top of the bazaar. Breakfast was stunning and plentiful - bread, jam, home made pancakes and honey, cheese pie, fried eggs, ham, fresh veg, watermelon, cake. If you are vegetarian like me, just let them know you don't want ham on your plate. A perfect stay in beautiful Gjirokastra - not to be missed! The city and setting is absolutely stunning and the ottoman houses well worth a visit, as is the Castle and Ethnographic Museum. Zekate House is a 6 minute walk and beautiful - the man who runs it is so kind and friendly and the outside bar is a perfect spot for a cool drink overlooking the mountains. It's open late too. We loved the Grey Stone Bar for a warm welcome and drinks - the ideal spot for a cool beer after visiting the castle! The Cold War Bunker is a great trip and very cool in the heat of the day. A fascinating insight into the history of the city.

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The property is stunning, and the owners are incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, excellent AC, and a huge bathroom with a fantastic shower. We originally planned to stay just one night, but loved it so much that we extended for another night. The pool was beautiful—a perfect escape from the summer heat—and we really enjoyed swimming and socializing with other guests. The location is ideal! Everything you need is within a 5-minute walk, and the hotel offers free parking. The drive up is a bit challenging due to steep, older roads, but the experience and views more than make up for it. Breakfast was extensive and delicious. We would definitely stay here again and again. This was the best place we stayed in Albania—we loved every minute of it!

Excellent location, just a few minutes from old bazaar and with road access. We had a room with balcony with a view onto the valley and the town. Hosts were very very nice and helpful. Delicious breakfast with savory and sweet dishes served, plus mountain tea and good coffee. Room was clean (double with balcony). Good wifi. Room size fine for a few days. Free parking outside hotel. For 70 Eoro with breakfast/ night, good value for money. Would definitely stay again.

This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever been to. The location is perfect, the hotel was so beautiful and perfectly clean (which is not the case in many hotels that are supposedly clean), the rooms were bright, charming and the beds super comfortable (also not a given, the beds are often not comfortable in many other hotels even when they are fancy). The swimming pool was perfect, with the castle right on top. The breakfast was great and last but not least, the owners were so kind, really going the extra mile to help and make sure that our stay was perfect. Thank you so much!

The Gjirokaster Hotel combines traditional architectural elements with all the modern conveniences. Our rooms were wonderful with a blend of 21st century bedding and a carved wooden headboard. The bathrooms were sleek and modern. The breakfast was delicious with eggs, fresh fruit, cakes, local pastries and very good coffee that was made to order. It is perfectly located - everything is within walking distance. There is a pool and a lovely outdoor sitting area under an arbor. The owners, a lovely couple, were the perfect hosts - friendly and accommodating. We loved the old city of Gjirokaster and can't say enough good things about the Gjirokaster Hotel.

Location of hotel was fantastic. Situated on a main road but traffic noise was not an issue due to efficient double glazing. There is car parking space at the back of the hotel which was a bonus as everywhere in Albania has parking issues! Rooms were of an adequate size and very clean. Lovely large bathroom with efficient shower and plenty of hot water. Beds, pillows and duvet were all super comfy and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good, served in a separate room off the main bar area. Freshly made omellettes cooked to order, a tray of mixed ham, cheese, tomatoes, sausage and salami. Fresh orange juise, bread and mini donuts with dips. Sadly no coffee offered. All staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly. We didn't feel like strangers. There is a great bar on the first floor, always busy with locals but no problem finding seats. The bar serves all types of drinks, cocktails, coffees and lovely tasty snacks. Again staff were very efficient. Never had to wait long to be served and very helpful. Would happily return here as we all loved it so much and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

New hotel with comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom, our room was perfectly clean. Hotel is located in the centre of city, but on quiet place, on the first floor of hotel is restaurant /coffe bar were delicious breakfast are served. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. This stay was amazing.

This is new boutique hotel, only five months old, so everything is new and fresh. Our room was a good size and looked over the main street. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was well equipped with a minibar, kettle and ironing board and iron. The bathroom was also a good size with a large shower. Breakfast was a good selection and well presented. The staff were all very friendly, efficient and helpful with local travel information. The manager even walked us to a local restuarant he recommended that we really enjoyed. There is parking available and if you arrive by bus, the terminus is less than ten minutes walk away. It is about twenty minutes walk "uphill" to the castle but you can also take the local bus up which stops a few minutes away from the hotel.... We really enjoyed our two night stay here.

The location was perfect, close to anything I needed during my stay. One of the biggest lifesavers was the parking space.It was secure, easy to find and the room was spacious and completed with all the amenities.The breakfast was surprisingly good, service was quick and the staff were friendly and attentive,making the whole experience feel seamless and cared for.The lounge bar was fantastic , cozy and stylish atmosphere 10/10 would recommend

Lovely little boutique hotel right in central Gjirokaster. We chose not to stay in the old town due to a need for parking, so it was a bit of a hike uphill to the old town, but it's a lovely walk for fit people. The hotel was quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast was served in a private room of their main restaurant/bar and it was delicious and plentiful!

I really enjoyed my stay in Hotel Bebej Tradicional. The room was beautifully decorated in a traditional style, very stylish and clean. The bathroom was spacious, with a great shower. The location itself was excellent — it’s situated on a hilltop, so walking to the city center was no problem at all, especially since part of the way is downhill. At night it was very quiet, and during the day — especially in the morning — you could hear birds singing, which made the atmosphere really peaceful and pleasant. A big plus goes to the owner — he was very kind and welcoming, always checking if everything was okay. He helped me park the car and also helped me get it out when I was leaving. One amazing service he offers is free rides to the city center or the castle — and back as well! Just note that this service is available until 10 PM. I used it and he kindly drove me up to the castle. That was super helpful. Breakfast was rich and delicious, and the host prepared everything quickly and with care. A great stay in every way!

This was my favorite hotel in Albania! The room was clean, comfortable and cosy. The location is perfect for visiting the castle and old town. The host Maradona was absolutely incredible! From the minute we arrived to the minute we left he was there to help. He gave us a lift to the old town (twice) and was just a super friendly and helpful at all times. We ate at his restaurant and the food was amazing too! Home cooked traditional food and good beer and wine. I will definitely return to this hotel again in the future. He made us feel at home and we really enjoyed our stay.

I loved everything about our stay. Maridona arranged for us to be picked up from the bus station (his father picked us up on the bus) and we were served a beautiful homemade jam to try when we arrived. Maridona was very welcoming, and is easily contactable- key rings have a small mobile phone on them that allow you to call Maridona when you would like to be picked up in town and he will come and get you. The room was fabulous- so homely and comfortable, and exceptionally clean. It was also the best bathroom we’ve seen so far in the Balkans, and it had a shower curtain! Breakfast is served between 8 and 9 in the morning. It was all laid out on the tables when we went down, so I would recommend going at 8 to ensure your breakfast is still warm. We were served watermelon, an egg, tomato, cucumber and feta with fried dough balls (the best we’ve had in Albania- much lighter than many we’ve tried so far) with jam. The dinner at the hotel is also excellent value. Every dish is 200 Lek, and we were very hungry after a day of travelling so we tried five dishes. The stand outs were the stuffed zucchini and stuffed peppers! We were unable to book a second night unfortunately, as the hotel was fully booked but Maridona kindly let us store our luggage at the hotel for the day, and dropped it into town for us later - the best host! I highly recommend this hotel; I didn’t want to leave!

Lovely guesthouse located in easily accessible by car (ie road paved, not narrow, up hill right off of main street) neighborhood within 10 minute walk to center. Host was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Neighborhood was quiet, bed and pillow comfortable, we slept well. Breakfast was delicious. Onsite, gated parking available. Highly recommend. Would stay again.

Maradona and his wife Así were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Offered to pick me up or drive me to a restaurant but I preferred to walk as it is a beautiful town with superb views at every step. The room was very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast with good coffee

The owners are really friendly and welcoming. The rooftop terrace views of the castle and town are absolutely stunning. We had lunch and breakfast (brekky included) up there and the traditional Albanian food was so delicious and big serving sizes! Our room was very large and spacious, with a comfortable bed and huge shower! The walk up and down to the bazaar & town is quite steep but worth it for the views! It was great being so close to the castle. Would highly recommend!

A fantastic experience! Castle Hotel welcomed us with warm hospitality and a really cozy atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable, and the view from the terrace was simply beautiful – especially in the morning with a fresh cup of coffee. Breakfast was traditional and tasty, made with fresh ingredients. What stood out most was the staff – incredibly kind and always ready to help. We’ll definitely be back.

We were blown away by the Castle Hotel. It's up on a hill right next to Gjirokaster castle. The view was spectacular and the breakfast on the hotel terrace abundant and delicious. The beds were super comfortable, the air conditioning worked well and during the night it was nice and quiet. It's a family run hotel and the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. You can tell that they put their heart and soul into it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and can highly recommend it.

Great stay with friends – central location and nice pool! We were a group of friends and had a great time at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location is very central, close to shops and restaurants. The pool was a lovely bonus – perfect for relaxing after a day out. The staff was friendly and always helpful. We arrived early and they welcomed us immediately. We could park our car in front of the hotel. We went for a walk, and really liked the location as it was a nice walk to the old town, the Castle, etc. The hotel aswell as the rooms were in Ottoman style with a modern, clean touch. In the afternoon we took a swim in the well kept pool whom was also very clean!What we liked the most was the very friendly staff that came across as very authentic, spontaneous and caring. The breakfast felt like entering a familyhome as it was inside the living area and kitchen, which felt very welcoming. It’s safe to say that this was our best stay in Albania. Thank you for making our experience of the beautiful Gjirokastër complete.

Such an amazing place it felt like we were staying in a piece of history. The building and rooms are beautiful, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with antiques. It’s lovely to have modern bathrooms though. The staff are amazing and so keen to make sure they exceeded expectations. Chatting, bringing fresh fruit and juice whilst we were at the pool, helping with recommendations etc. The pool was amazing as it was 35 degrees during our stay so great to cool off. Location is hard to beat. An almost level 5 min walk to the bazaar past a few restaurants, museums and a highly recommended bakery (70lek ice creams).

Xheni was incredibly nice, polite, and ready to help for anything we needed ❤️ We really enjoyed the pool, which is clean and warm. Everything is clean in the maximum even the area outside is well taken care of. The hotel is spacious as the typical culture of Gjirokastër city with the pool is the perfect combination, especially for the summer days and is totally worth the price of the accommodation. The breakfast was very tasty, especially petulla and komposto! We really recommend this hotel, and we want to say a big thank you for hosting us😊

Everything about Hotel Vila Sharm was perfect. Starting from the building and the facilities, everything was in place and super clean. The staff were all super amazing, super friendly and ready to go the extra mile to please you and make your stay not only comfortable but remarkable, the food was delicious and the lady who served us was a sweetheart who took care that everything was to our liking. The guys at the reception and bar were kind and friendly, they were always there to guide you and also serve you your preferred drinks…they even got me cake for my birthday! Hotel Vila Sharm has a wonderful location, placed in a hill with a beautiful look over the city, the castle and the old bazar. All in all, I would highly recommend Hotel Vila Sharm to anyone who wants to get a complete and remarkable experience of the beautiful city, Gjirokastra is!

The apartment was absolutely lovely! Everything looked like new! It was very clean!! The bed was VERYYYY COMFORTABLE and the pillows as well. Room is quiet if you close the windows, you won’t hear anyrhing from outside, even if people are downstairs at the cafe of the hotel. They have provided shower gels, a toothpaste package for each guest, towels and everything else tou would need. Staff is very friendly and helpful!! You can also pay in euro if you did not change in the lek currency. They have a private parking as well. It is close to the main attractions of the city (by foot I mean). The breakfast was also good(I attached a photo with what we ate, but there were also cereals, milk, yogurt, marmalade, coffee, tea, etc.). We would definitely stay here again!!

Had an amazing time in Gjirokaster. We had a stunning view from the room which really made our experience special. The room was simple but cosy and comfy. Breakfast was delicious and the location was great! It’s really close to the castle, about 10min to the bazar depending on your walking speed and also near the Ali pasha bridge which is a great hike. Staff at Hotel Pashai were amazingly friendly and helpful. People in Gjirokaster overall are warm and welcoming making it a safe and enjoyable experience for international visitors. We stayed two nights as we wanted to take things slow and this was a great choice.

Haven’t even checked out yet and wanted to give a good review! We ended up just walking down into the town each day which was fine, a ten minute walk down to restaurants and the markets. Check in was easy, there were people who helped us direct our car to where we needed to go. If you’re driving the road to the hotel is quite narrow but it’s fine. We were able to park very close by and the owner helped us with our bags. I was very thankful for this because I had a big surgery on my leg last year and find carrying my bag up stairs quite hard! The accommodation itself is lovely, we ended up having an afternoon in on our first day and just looked out the window and enjoyed the beautiful view. The room was very clean, lots of towels etc and the shower is quite big. Feels very private. We loved the breakfast we had. We are traveling on a budget and have been eating fairly simple meals and this breakfast was amazing. Fresh fruit, coffee, juice, traditional food, just really yummy. We also loved Maria the cat, we have looked forward to giving her cuddles! Everyone was very kind and helpful and we don’t want to leave! We hope to return here one day. Beautiful, nicely renovated house. We had a spacious and super clean room with a very comfy bed and terrace view. Best bathroom we had in Albania so far. The terrace is absolutely amazing, they serve a tasty traditional breakfast. Would definitely come back !

This is a lovely hotel with a fabulous view of the town. It has a beautiful patio area which was peaceful and again with a stunning view over rooftops. It is a short walk downhill to restaurants, the castle and about 10/15 mins to the bazaar. It is up quite a steep hill with a small car park but the owner is on hand to help. It has a very welcoming feel, it is clean, homely and the beds were really comfortable. The shower was fantastic. The breakfast was extensive with fruit, various Albanian pastries, a cooked breakfast, bread and homemade fig jam which you have out on the patio. It was good value for the money (they would only accept card not cash).

room was gorgeous! we paid extra to have this fabulous, historic room and loved it. it even had a jacuzzi, which we enjoyed since we were sore from hiking. great views from the terraces. nice house wine.

Although this hotel is located in the old part of Gjirokaster we were happy that it is a little bit aside from the touristic center with all the cafés, bars, restaurants and shops (5 minutes walk). From our room or the public balcony you have a stunning view over the whole city and valley. The room has kept his old Osman charm. But this also means small closets and creaky planks. The bathroom is super modern in a superb state. Everything is super clean. The Albanian style breakfast is absolutely delicious. The staff is very friendly. Especially the young Mr. Irvin is outstandingly caring and gives you the idea of being "the one and only family's best friend". The perfect host!

Staff is friendly and helpful. Walking distance to bazaar, a large variety of bars, cafes, and restaurants and of course the castle. I highly recommend this quaint little place.

The rooms were comfortable, very clean and peaceful. you could smell the wood worked on the furniture .A relaxing night in the view of the stars from the window , it was amazing . The property is beautiful, and only 5 minute walk to the bazaars. It is clean, the staff are so friendly and helpful, and there are beautiful views from the outside of the balcony. The breakfast is delicious - it is a traditional Albanian breakfast. Our room was lovely, and cosy too. Would 100% stay again and strongly recommend!

I went just for a night with my husband and it was even better than expected.The staff was the nicest staff I have ever seen recently.There were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door .Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled.before starting to describe the room I would like to say that we really loved the character of the hotel.The bed was extremely comfortable and I love they pillows! dooble room we booked was clean and got such a nice space. the room got historic feel with old hard wood floors and moderny clean bathroom. I,especialy, enjoyed the window view from mauntains!!🥰 The breakfast was tradicional and delicious!They offerd me expresso aswell.Would definitely stay there again, the price was amazing.

The hotel was located in the historical area of Gjirokaster and it was nothing but lovely. Stone covered almost everything, giving the real traditional atmosphere. The room was spotless clean equipped with all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. Big comfy bed and pillows! The breakfast was also delicious and the lady who served it very kind and lovely. Would totally recommend this stay!

Perfect location in the old town, a short walk to the castle and gorgeous views of the mountains from our room. It's an amazing boutique hotel! A historic stone building with a very stylish and modern design inside, breathtaking view from the window, comfortable beds, spotless clean modern bathroom, unique woodwork everywhere. The location is perfect - peaceful and quiet, you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee on the stone terrace. The hosts are very friendly - we had a pleasant chat with Linda and her husband on the day of our arrival. A lovely girl Brondy at the reception is exceptionally polite and friendly. We would definitely stay at the hotel again and recommend it to our friends.

We loved our time at the DAM Stone Boutique Hotel. The hotel is tucked into the side of the hill and offers stunning views from the front rooms. We booked three of the four rooms, so had the place mostly to ourselves. Rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Each room had it's own bathrooms and they were clean and showers were large. The owners and staff were super friendly and helpful. Gave us great recommendations for where to go and what to eat. The hotel is directly below the castle and a very short walk from the bazaar. Provides proximity to all the things you'll want to do in Gjirokaster with a nice amount of serene separation from the bustle of the bazaar. There's a beautiful view from the patio out front where you can take your morning coffee and look over the valley. A very peaceful and authentic experience. 10/10, Truly could not recommend this hotel more. The perfect place to spend a couple of days in Gjirokaster. An absolute highlight of our trip!

Amazing room amazing view amazing location and amazing and helpful staff. What else could we say? Our stay was amazing. Room was a bit bright in the morning but this was perfect for us. There are other rooms that do not have view but allow for less light coming through in the morning, so there is choice.

Amazing hosts who went above and beyond by giving directions when Google Maps failed, even parking the car for us! Located in a quiet residential area, yet very central – just a few minutes' walk to the bazaar and city center. While no breakfast is served on-site, there's a charming inner courtyard perfect for relaxing with your own drinks. The rooms were beautiful, modern, and spacious. Highly recommend!

Very tasty breakfast prepared by the owner, who was very nice and helpful. Each morning she prepared a different breakfast with her beautiful smile and sense of humor ☺️ There is also a restaurant in front of the property where we ate amazingly good, traditional food prepared by a lovely albanian couple, despite our late arrival. Anytime we arrive at the restaurant we were served directly whether for lunch or dinner, with all the deserts or fruits that they didn’t charge. Good WiFi, nice location with a great view of the mountains and fortress. Only 10 min from Ali Pasha Bridge and 10 min from the center as well. The hotel is new and the rooms are well designed. The owner and her daughter in law were so helpful, kind and generous. Each time they offered us local desert or wine or fruit to enjoy while resting on the balcony and enjoying the view. I highly sincerely recommend it!

Everything was perfect. Large, clean modern room and bathroom. Beds were so comfortable and having air conditioning was great. Lovely balcony with views. Short walk to the castle and hike to Ali Pasha bridge. The parking was right outside the house. Large breakfast set us up for the day. The staff were super friendly and I highly recommend this place.

We wanted to hike out during the day, and staying high up in the city made for an easy exit towards the old Ali Pasha bridge. Being allowed to park the car even before check-in was a great help. A clean and stylishly furnished room and delicious breakfast with mountain tea were our highlights. And I shouldn't forget to mention the friendly hosting family and amazing view from the balcony! A visit to see the gigantic old castle at walking distance was a treat the next day.

Property is a short walk from main sights in Gjirokaster and has new, modern rooms, which are very clean. Beds are comfy. Hosts are very attentive and treat you with kindness. Breakfast is home made and tasty. When I arrived I was served coffee and cold water, which was a nice gesture by the hosts. They really take care of their guests.
