My husband and I had a fabulous stay from the moment we arrived. Fernando greeted us warmly and was extremely helpful and informative. He allocated us to a beautiful and very comfortable room with fabulous views from the large terrace. The hotel is superbly located, with excellent facilities including a pool with jacuzzi and with access to parking. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, delicious food. We’ll definitely be staying there again

This is an exceptional hotel. Great location on the beach front with a short (10min) walk to the town centre. Plenty restaurants in walking distance. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and clean sheets. The bathroom was regular size with great shower, powerful, and always had hot water. I had a large balcony with sun lounger and table and chairs. And of course a beautiful sea view. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever had, so many choices. I ate in the restaurant on one night and the €22 buffet, which was great value, again so many choices. The staff are excellent, super friendly, and always helpful. This is also a great hotel for cyclists, as they have a secure room to store bikes, with tools, air and water available, and also an area to wash your bike. Finally, the pool is a good size with plenty of sun loungers and a full bar to keep you entertained. The hotel also has live music most nights. Overall one of the best hotels I have stayed at, really first class. I will be back. A+++

Super friendly staff. The room had a complementary bottle of Prosecco & macaroons. Everything is so clean the rooms are big with robes & Sun loungers on the balcony. The pool is heated which was a great surprise. Breakfast buffet was perfect so much variety. Beautiful hotel right on the beach amazing views and amazing staff.

Very nice bathroom with toiletries included. Did not visit the restaurant. Staff was responsive to our needs and provided free bag of ice upon request. Quiet area with amazing views of the mountains. Just had a lovely stay at Llano Piña. The service was spot-on—staff were friendly and really helpful. The food was tasty, and there was plenty of choice to keep everyone happy. Our room was spacious and comfy, perfect for a family trip. Would definitely come back and spend more time by the pool.

Large room tastefully decorated with comfortable bed. The bathroom was also large with a good shower. Everywhere was very clean and looked after. Lived the bar restaurant. Although the menu was a little restricted, everything was delicious and by no means expensive.

Beautiful, spotlessly clean quality hotel. Family run business who gave us a wonderful welcome. Furnished very well, was extremely comfortable. Our room with large terrace was perfect. Excellent facilities, the grounds and pool area were impressive. We enjoyed delicious meals and drinks there. We plan to return when are next in the vicinity.

This hotel is located outside the city, but the location is perfect for visiting the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada. It has a private parking lot. There is a buss that takes you to the city center in 15 minutes. The staff is very welcoming and speaks English fluently (which is a bonus in Spain). They are happy to inform you on visiting the Alhambra, the city of Granada and nice walks in the Sierra Nevada. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds. We got a room with a lovely view of the mountains. There is a small swimming pool (was not in use yet, as it was the beginning of April) and it has a terrace with with resting beds, surrounded by trees and shrubs, that create a welcoming shadow. The breakfast is a buffet offering toasted bread, croissants, local cakes, cold cuts of ham and different cheeses, boiled eggs, yoghurt and cereals. There's is a expresso machine making all kinds of great tasting coffees. We also stayed for dinner, which is easy after an exhausting visit of the Alhambra and the city of Granada or a long walk in the Sierra Nevada. The food was quite OK and meets the average taste of a tourist, but we would have loved even more local Spanish dishes - but that's a personal preference of course. Overall, this is a very nice hotel that offers a perfect service and a great quality/price ratio.

We had a wonderful time here! The views towards the mountains are spectacular and greet you every morning. Breakfast was delicious and always included some typical Spanish elements. Lots of veggie options for breakfast and also dinner if you decide to eat at their restaurant. Beds are comfy and everything was sparkling clean. The hotel staff/ owners went above and beyond to make us comfortable and we’re super kind and helpful.

A real boutique hotel. Taking care of all details, walking the extra mile to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay. I was there with my family and they equally enjoyed the place. So quite and peaceful feeling as soon as you enter the hotel with breathtaking spectacular snd scenic views. The hotel is very close to Alhambra, less than 10 minutes away I will definitely return for a longer stay just to relax and enjoy the swimming pool and the beautiful panoramic view from the pool. I also understand that there are good horse riding facilities nearby, so horse riders..... this is the place to be. Breakfast was so good with a nice spread, and most importantly, their coffee was just perfect. It really complemented the breakfast. The staff was very friendly. So overall, this hotel deserves a 10 rating.

Lovely boutique hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed. Genuine a warm welcome upon arrival and check-in was quick and efficient. Parking is immediately outside the hotel which is always a plus. Very tranquil environment which is exactly what we were looking for. Personalised service was wonderful, feels like a home from home. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and having a coffee or wine on the balcony with that view was amazing. Great breakfast and lunch. Swimming pool is refreshing for a morning or afternoon dip and again the views were stunning. We were looked after and really appreciated it. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Excellent stay. Walking distance to the city centre whilst in a more quiet area. The hotel is very modern. Well looked after. Everything was very clean. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing with plenty of options. All very tasty and delicious. Staff were super attentive and after a couple of days they already knew us and looked very well after us. I would definitely come back in another visit to Granada!

Easy pre check-in online followed by quick and efficient actual check in (and check out) by Belén. Good location for the Congress centre - just a 10 minute easy walk away. Excellent blackout blinds - the room was pitch black (which we love). Very quiet other than some corridor noise. Spaces to park the car for up to 15 minutes for drop off/check-in. Good private underground paid car park which is accessed immediately to the right of the hotel entrance. Specific allocated space. Lift up to hotel from car park. Extensive buffet breakfast. Room was spacious and clean. Extremely comfortable bed and bedding. Great lighting throughout. Perfect temperature. Full length mirror. Fridge. Safe. Good TV including English news channel. Bright bathroom with good shower (into bath).

Clean and comfortable, great location with the Metro outside the door - this made it super easy to get to the bus station for my bus to Malaga Airport. Comfortable bed, good shower, great breakfast. Breakfast staff and reception very helpful and friendly.

Absolutely delighted with this hotel. I looked at many options before settling on this hotel as it was the first time travelling as an all ladies group. I was concerned the family room maybe too small for four guests, however it was spacious, clean. and had ample sleeping space with super comfy beds. Cleanliness was immaculate and the choice at breakfast very good with something for everyone. Staff were very helpful and kind at all times and helped us with arranging our sight seeing and navigation. The hotel is in the centre of Granada and in walking distance of lots of sights and restaurants.

Hotel was clean and modern, and is in a good location on a hilly street just a few minutes’ walk from Plaza Nueva and all the shops and restaurants in that area, as well as to the Puerta de las Granadas entrance to the Alhambra grounds uphill. We got a triple room with a double bed and a signle bed, also had two chairs and a tiny table, TV, safe, mini fridge, and fast Wi-Fi. The bathroom was rather unusual in that the shower was a glass shower in the middle of the room so not much privacy there when you step out (it did have a privacy decal around the middle of the glass). The toilet was in a separate room with a door, and it was a Japanese-style toilet. Bathroom amenities included body wash/shampoo and lotion. The hotel itself was nice with a terrace café (which we didn’t use at it was a bit too expensive for us). The breakfast room was great with plenty of seating and a great buffet selection including toast, pastries, cereals, yogurt, fruits, cheese, bacon, and eggs. One of the best breakfast buffets of our whole trip in fact. Would recommend hotel based on location and breakfast buffet mostly.

We recently stayed at Puerta de las Granadas after much research and it did not disappoint! The location is absolutely ideal. Situated only about a short walk from one of the gates to the Alhambra, it’s also just steps away from Plaza Nueva—what we felt was the heart of everything. The area is filled with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and the hop-on-hop-off bus. It’s also not far from the Albaicín and Sacromonte neighbourhoods, so you're perfectly positioned to explore the best of the city. The hotel is incredibly clean, and while the rooms aren't massive, they are very comfortable with a great shower. Our room featured a Juliet balcony and lovely views of Cuesta de Gomérez, the pedestrian route to the Alhambra. The room had great soundproofing, so street noise was never a problem, the perfect place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. The hotel has an on-site restaurant which we tried on our last night. While the menu isn’t extensive, the food was good and the service and staff very pleasant. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar on a couple of occasions—this is an absolute must. The views of the Alhambra and surrounding area are spectacular. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

This small boutique hotel was the perfect location for our three night stay in Granada. Located on a very quiet side street 100 m from the Plaza Nueva with a taxi stand at the bottom of the street, a city tour bus stop at the junction, dozens of nearby restaurants and shops several blocks away, and a direct route ( upwards!) to the Alhambra. In short, everything within an easy walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is not fancy but functional and new. There are lots of areas for outside sitting but with the cool weather, we looked but did not sit. We liked the small bar / restaurant associated with the hotel. I had my morning coffee there and it was handy for a glass of wine after the nearby Flamenco show( Casa Ana was excellent!). We did not try the breakfast buffet . We found the staff helpful and had no trouble getting by with our limited Spanish. We didn’t have a car so no comments there except that it’s definitely not needed or desirable in the city centre. The area felt safe both day and night too. We would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in the City Central.

Very comfortable well run hotel in a perfect location with a well appointed feel about it. Higher standard than 3 star? The staff were all personable, efficient and very helpful. Room (mauror superior) was clean and comfortable. Outlook was to a retaining wall but that meant it was very quiet. A big plus is the restaurant facilities with some very appealing dishes. The breakfast room in the basement is rather more utilitarian but adequate. The breakfast experience would be improved if fresh croissants were available!

The hotel is beautiful and stylish in a modern and simple way. The attention to small details make this a perfect boutique hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was excellent. There were lovely separate areas of the hotel which could be used by guests including a library, a patio courtyard and an amazing roof terrace with stunning views. Excellent breakfast and restaurant. The location is perfect with simple walking access to the Alhambra and to all the sights in Granada. Fabulous.

We come back to this beautiful hotel with own thermal bath every time we have the chance. The room was good and bed very comfortable. the Breakfast is abundant and the bread is delicious. We booked spa at the therms direct at the location. Responsible lady at therm was a little bit pushy but the spa is worth. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We are coming back again.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially those at reception, in the spa, and doing the breakfast service. Staff in the restaurant were very efficient and the food was reasonably good. Spa experience was absolutely wonderful. Nice to have the underground garage to park the car in, though this was an extra (relatively small) cost. Overall, great value for money.

Breakfast was great for people like us, who never eat hot breakfasts. We liked the bread, the croissants, and fruit. The coffee was surprisingly good from a machine. The baths were very nice and the personnel very friendly and professional.

Wonderful relaxing break with Spa access each day and breakfast included Quiet area but the village swimming pool was open so enjoyed sunny days at the pool with drinks and tapas Everyone was very friendly The staff were excellent

Located somewhat higher up in the soft-rock hills of Guadix, with a nice outlook over Guadix historic centre couple of miles away (with the Sierra Nevada) in the background, the cuevas Pedro Antonio are beautifully and naturally embedded in the landscape - the rooms are very comfortable but still preserving the local style and atmosphere. We even had a jacuzzi to relax in (which the original troglodytes probably missed out on). The room was very clean and having many decorative/local details. Diner was included and comprised of a decent home cooked meal and breakfast was of the basic continental variety. All in all an authentic and special/worthwhile stayover on our roadtrip across Andalucia.

I read all the reviews and was unsure what we would find. Locating the place was easy using Google maps. The noise from the motorway is minimum and I didn't even notice it. We picked up the keys from the restaurant as reception was shut. The girl was very friendly and helpful. Our cave house (no 18) was right at the top. I had read it was up a very steep road but again it wasn't too bad, you can always park at the bottom. People with mobility problems would find no 18 very hard to walk to. The cave house was 1 bedroom but it was a good size, the bedroom and bathroom were both large, it was cool and clean. No kettle or toaster but a microwave and fridge freezer. There are 2 restaurants, 1 is on site where you pick your keys up from, didn't order any food as you get tapas with every drink. The tapas were massive portions and delicious. The service was friendly and I would definitely recommend. This restaurant was a 5 minute walk from the cave house. The 2nd restaurant is not part of the complex but you drive past it on the way in, it's called la Tinaja, again this is a superb place, we had a few drinks here and the tapas were just as good. The area of the complex is well lit. I didn't go to the swimming pool but there seems to be a smaller one too. I would definitely recommend this place, we only stayed 1 night but we could have stayed longer

The Cuevas offer very comfortable, spacious and interestingly decorated caves with parking outside the cave. Very suitable for self-catering visits of more than 1 night, but the onside restaurant means it is also suitable for stopovers. The caves are grouped on several levels. The highest levels have the best views (including uninterrupted views of the Sierra Nevada) but get more traffic noise from the adjacent motorway.

Did not have breakfast. Excellent dinner the night before. Extremely friendly and welcoming.

Enjoyed a lovely stay at Cuevas la Granja. All of the staff were very efficient and welcoming. Ate dinner in the restaurant which was first class. Bed maybe a little on the firm side but we found it comfortable. Excellent water pressure for a great shower. We will more than likely visit again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cuevas La Granjas, Sylvia was very welcoming and gave us lots of information about the area. We wanted to relax in the middle of our Andalucian trip, Cuevas La Granjas was the perfect place for that, the caves are lovely and very charming, well equipped, there is a swimming pool for hot days, a kids playground, a nice garden to sit and relax in, it was really perfect for us.

Everything is perfect ! I was upgraded. And he allowed me to stay after the checkout time. Very quiet in the winter. The natural area behind the complex is excellent for hiking, mountain biking and in my case orienteering. It is very quiet too.

The apartments are spacious, modern, and very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location is fantastic - peaceful yet close to the sea, shops, and restaurants. The whole area feels safe, tidy, and well maintained, making it perfect for both short visits and longer stays. You can easily enjoy morning walks by the beach or relax on the terrace surrounded by a calm, pleasant atmosphere. Overall, an excellent place to unwind and enjoy the coastal setting.

Awesome apartment,well positioned complex.Close to Motril,close to the beach,great views of the mountains .Apt have everything !So you feel like you at home . The beds super comfy and so pillows,great walk in shower . We were provided with 1 bottle of water,washing up liquid,fairy,bin bags,kitchen towel,washing powder etc.In every room we had TV sets,so you can connect to net or your smartphone and watch whatever you like. Apt and terrace very spacious . Host very easy to communicate to .Wifi works grsat .24/7 cctv Very quiet area ,200m away express shop . 10 minx drive to big Mercadona and other shops,beauty salons,dental clinics.

The apartment was clean and spotless. The facilities were amazing and I would definitely come back to stay here again. the rooms were of great size. The beds very comfy. Irene and Andrea were very friendly and helpful. They are great hosts.

The staff was friendly and helpful. I needed to work and they made sure to arrange a better internet connection for me. The kids had their own room with a large TV and also they had their own bathroom with toilet and shower which was great for a family of 4. The apartment is new and was super clean.

The location is calm with easy access. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The accommodation was excellent, plenty of space and really clean. Good safe parking, wifi was very good as was the swimming pool. The only issue I had was the shower water didn't get warm - but as it was mid 30's a cool shower was really welcome. Highly recommended.

there was great communication from the hosts. We absolutely loved the hot tub. Everything was really clean. The beds were comfortable. There was parking. the view was amazing.

It was a great stay! The sofa is amazing, the kids loved it. We loved the kitchen table and played a lot of games at it.

Firstly the location was perfect for my needs - solo hiking in the Cumbres Verdes area (and further into Sierra Nevada). Easy access via the forest road at the top of the Cumbres Verdes urbanisation. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and had plenty of furniture for storing all my stuff. The rooms were always warm with radiators for drying my stuff when needed. Without fail my room was cleaned every day with new sheets - so good after a day's hiking. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Pedro, Celia and Natasha. They put on a nice breakfast and in the evenings you can go down for food from the menu. It's quite informal and welcoming. The burgers are amazing, home made, I think I had then on 4 nights they were so good. My room was upgraded for free after the first night because a bigger room became available. (I didn't ask for this, it was offered). Pedro gave me his number so I could message him after a day of solo hiking at altitude, to make sure I got down safe. He checked in with me at 5pm to make sure I was ok. Great guy and great team of welcoming staff. For me it was great because I could keep to myself or chat with other staff/guests as I chose to. Definitely I recommend, and I hope to return in summer months.

The small hotel is located 20-25min from Granada in a very quiet area with a magnificent view on the city and the Sierra Nevada. In front of the hotel there is plenty space to park your car on the street for free. The staff were al very friendly and the rooms offered all comfort you needed. We booked the room with the separate in room bath tub and this was awesome! In the neighbourhood there are not a lot of restaurants but this is no problem because dinner at the hotel, made by the owner herselve, is excellent and tasty. We enjoyed the pool and relaxing area accompanied by the 2 house dogs. There is an honesty bar and fresh made cocktails available in request! The dogs are present but if you ignore them they will not search for any attention. On the otherhand, watch out when you start throwing his/her rock or when you start petting them, they keep you busy for hours. Breakfast is nice and taken well care of.

we drove through the entrance to the Sierra Nevada, through a beautiful pine forrest to the property. Stunning, welcome and friendly from when we entered until we left. Parking right outside the property. The ‘welcome committee’ is fantastic (gorgeous dogs Duna & Logan in particular). The owner set the tone for a fantastic unforgettable stay at their hotel/ home. We were shown to our room which was quite overwhelming- just beautiful. Huge comfy bed and pillows, view breathtaking with a huge bath to soak in and to soak up the views of Granada. Beautiful gardens, home grown produce used during fabulous breakfast and even better home cooked evening meal ( quality, quantity and VFM). Our dog was made to feel so welcome and could go anywhere in the property ( on a leash) as there are some cute rabbits free to roam in their garden area. Lovely pool, relaxed floor cushions, seating, loungers etc . Nothing was too much trouble, honesty bar when the staff were not about. Coffee/ tea, mini fridge in the room. We ventured into the local quiet town - La Zubia, 10 mins drive with a few shops and bars. Mercadona and small shopping mall 10 mins drive through the town. This is a very special place, worthy of a 4* plus and we will make a point of returning. Very memorable.

We stayed in a junior suite with terrace. It was a very intimate romantic setting to stay, out of the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to go into the city when you want (with transportation) The atmosphere was absolutely serene, the views and sunsets the pets two lovely dogs and a couple of rabbits. I must say the staff and the other guests all made our stay so relaxing and special. The staff I found to be so accommodating and informative, friendly and above all welcoming, the Hotel has a family run business feel. The owner was amazing. The pool was so refreshing and there were never more than one other couple using the facilities at any time even had there have been the hotel isn’t huge so it wouldn’t have felt crowded. During our 4 night stay we had the pool to ourselves a few times. We ate on site and the dinner menu was great, the breakfast also was very appealing which we had each day of our stay. We would love to return. Thank you to the staff at El Balcon de las nieves for making the Granada leg of our Andalusia tour so memorable.
