Beds & Sheets were amazing! So comfortable! The room was clean and cool. This location was across from a beautiful park & river. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant staff were very friendly. Our waiter, Keegan , was exceptional! ado was another gentleman who may have appears to be the chef and a waiter, i’m unsure! Will definitely stay again!

We drove to Grand Rapids to see a show at thw DeVos Performance Hall. The location was right off the expreessway so there was no crazy downtown navigation needed and its a short walk to the Performance Hall. Parking was also easy, no driving around looking for parking, they have a lot in the feo t and back for easy access. Check in was smooth and quick with friendly staff. They have a shuttle service that will take you around town or to your destination, which we kindly accepted because it was so cold out. The driver was personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. She dropped us off at the front door and after the show we called them and they picked us up. The room was clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable and we slept really well. The only part that wasnt great was the restaurant inside the hotel. The food was "okay". They seem to be known for their burgers, which I didnt eat but the food we did order was not fully cooked and seemed subpar. The staff however was great and did a good job. We ate dinner and breakfast there hoping it would be worth staying on site but it wasnt. Overall, I would definitely stay there again.

The rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable, the restaurant in the hotel was DELICIOUS. The staff were VERY friendly. We had a tremendous experience. The hotel was quiet and relaxing.

My wife and I traveled to Grand Rapids Saturday for a visit with her family in the area, and we wanted to tour the Ford Presidential Museum on Sunday after the death of Jimmy Carter to sort of relive that whole era. There's an attached parking garage that makes parking stress-free. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and spacious. The king bed was a perfect mixture of cushy and firm. The sofa was even really comfortable for TV watching or reading. And the pool, hot tub, and fitness area were clean and well equipped. The sole problem? A lack of pool towels, and when I asked for some I got a little attitude from the front desk (and towels never came while we were at the pool, which meant a chilly drippy trip back to our room). And Sunday morning, when we were enjoying a morning dip, housekeeping came to the pool and dropped off all of six (6) towels. We saw that other guests had brought their own beach towels. Guess next time we will too! Oh, also, the free breakfast was better than average, with a good selection of both healthy and savory (eggs, sausage). These days, $160 a night for a really nice room is a deal (other downtown GR hotels can be significantly more expensive), so when downtown GR calls us again, we'll be back here!

In order to ensure I could keep my first treatment schedule down the hill, we reserved a room at this hotel. Our 7th floor room was perfect for feeling safe and warm while watching the plow trucks pass on the highway below and the Michigan Street road we would need to travel. We enjoyed the ample breakfast in the spacious dining space each morning, appreciated the cheerful greetings of staff, and even bought an ornament from the Women At Risk display at the desk to commemorate our two-day getaway. Clean and comfortable, warm and safe in a blizzard - we couldn't have asked for more.

We stayed here 2 nights, the staff was very friendly, the Hotel was modern and clean, our King Room and bathroom were very clean and roomy,Bed was comfy,Breakfast Options were ok, Breakfast Room was big,the Pool was nice a little on the cool side, but had Hot Tub to warm up.

Beautiful, clean, quiet property. Shuttle service was very helpful. Jennifer at the front desk was very knowledgeable and helpful. So grateful to her! Had an early flight and did not get to have breakfast so I can’t comment on that. A convenient area for us. Shops and restaurants nearby.

Upon check-in, we were put in a room with 2 double beds instead of a King room like we booked, the front desk staff were quick to make a change but we were then put in a first level accessible room instead, which for the price of our King room felt like a bit of a loss. Being on the first floor right near the lobby meant we heard a lot of the lobby noise and people walking by. However, the room was clean and large. I was disappointed the room did not have a safe in it, and since we were travelling from out of the country I was hoping to have a place to leave my passport safe and sound, as well as other important belongings. Other than that, the hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again, but would hope to stay in the room we chose upon booking.

The location was very quiet & close to GRR. The room was clean. The staff was friendly & helpful & there were plenty of tasty breakfast options & the staff kept the coffee bar & buffet areas very well-stocked & clean. We didn’t use the pool but it looked very clean & inviting. The workout room was nice for a minimal workout. Also, the room attendant tidied up our room which was so amazing after experiencing a very long & exhausting day.

This was the best Holiday Inn and the best mid-price range hotel I have stayed at over many, many years. It was decorated with modern furniture and furnishings. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The window shade was unique in that it pulled down from the top and unbelievably, shut out early morning light! No more light peeking between curtains that pulled together. A most interesting aspect was that the room key card was needed to insert into a slot that would turn the electricity on for the room. Undoubtedly an improvement to help keep their expenses down. The hotel was conveniently located to major roads and many restaurants were located nearby, The breakfast - a full breakfast with a variety of choices and was a huge hit with the guests I chatted with. The staff were friendly, professional, helpful and courteous to each guest they interacted with. The facility itself was very clean, and well maintained. I did not use the pool; however, my spouse used the exercise room which had a variety of machines to use and she was pleased with the "feel" of the room. I would definitely stay at this hotel when I am next in Grand Rapids and I very highly recommend it to anyone seeking overnight lodgings in that area. I wish I could rate it higher than the number of stars available.

Everything was great. Room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was clean, warm, had plenty of chairs and clean towels. The Continental breakfast had a great selection and was fresh. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

Our room had a super comfortable bed, and clean, uncluttered decor. The Keurig coffee maker in the room was excellent. Wifi was easy to use with our Netflix account. The hot breakfast buffet was uniformly good, featuring OJ, tiny cheese or vegetable omelets, turkey or pork sausage, and an easy to use pancake maker. There were lots of muffins and breads to choose from. We didn't have any freeway noise, and there weren't many children so noise from other rooms was minimal. The AC turns itself off when it reaches the set temp. Check-in was easy. It was convenient to the airport, 28th St. shopping area and clean. I would stay there again.

Pristine, spacious room with a comfortable bed. Pleasantly quiet, even for a city-facing room near the elevators. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Parking garage is attached to the hotel and the lobby is accessible on the second floor (currently $38/day to park, just take your entry ticket with you to the front desk; garage feels safe and well-lit). Building is very secure with card access required to access elevators (some complain about this aspect but I find it a pro). Area feels very safe. Plenty of options for great food nearby. Clientele appears to be mostly quiet and professional. I would gladly stay here again in the future.

Hotel was very clean, easy/convenient parking, quick check-in, great views from the rooms, very clean/nice bar/restaurant area, an extremely professional and helpful staff and lastly, an absolutely excellent location!

Nice hotel with beautiful views. Good location to access downtown attractions, events and restaurants or just take a pleasant walk. Cozy bar/restaurant in the hotel with acceptable food for lunch, dinner and breakfast if you prefer to stay in, and lots of options within a short walk for dining out. Staff is friendly and responsive. The only thing that was shocking was the price of parking.

Perfectly located, not far from VanAndel at all. The beds were comfy, we had a great view, loved having mugs and glasses in the room, the shower was spacious. Lots of great food choices. Tupelo Honey downstairs was a great restaurant to hit up for brunch and dinner. The entrance is a little confusing. If you walk to the front doors buzz the speaker to the right of the sliding doors to have the staff open the doors. Then take the elevator or stairs to the second floor to find the front dek. If you park in their lot go to floor 2. Only negatives are that the pool was chilly (a hot tub or sauna would be a lovely addition) and that you can really hear other rooms doors opening and slamming shut. That being said we plan to stay here again when we pop over to GR from here on out.

The breakfast had a large variety of wholesome foods. The sausage, eggs, hash browns, and oatmeal were exceptional. The fruit was fresh and cut up. The bathroom sink had extra room. The shower was so nice - tiled and walk in. The mattress was comfortable. Quiet room - 5th floor. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Nice location.

We’ve stayed at this Embassy Suites Hotel before located in Downtown Grand Rapids about a mile North of the Central business district where many of the good restaurants are located. Convenient on-site parking garage and bar/restaurant with complimentary drinks and breakfast. Large rooms with balconies offering a view of the bridge and river.

The rooms were spacious, clean and bright. The staff was friendly and we loved the pool/hot tub area! Having extended hours for adults only was a big plus too! The breakfast was awesome and the omelette bar was not only delicious, but the chef was fun as well!

It was amazing and the balcony made so much better to enjoy the view and very quiet and loved the suite very spacious and the shower was so lovely.

I was so worried when I read the reviews on TripAdvisor because this place only had 2 stars. I had already booked the room, so I checked the Google reviews. It has 4.7 stars there. This place was great! Clean, spacious, the gym was well equipped, and breakfast was yummy. The area seemed safe, the staff was friendly, and it was a great price. This was a last-minute reservation because a VRBO we went to was not even livable, so we needed a place we could cook too. The kitchen was great for what we needed (we'd purchased the makings for spaghetti). The burners are small, so it took a long time to boild the water, but it got the job done. I would 100% recommend this place.

Everything was exactly as expected. The room was clean and comfortable. Traveling using Bonvoy points and they put me in an upper floor room, away from the mechanicals and vending and ice machine, so it was quiet. Good water pressure and heated quick, sufficient towels, a REAL coffee maker, and welcomed me as a Bonvoy member, even a small welcome gift of snacks. This is how you make your loyalty program work. Will stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The employees were super helpful and the rooms were up to date and clean. My only problem was at breakfast. When you are trying to make you food other people just continue to stand in line using toaters and pancake makers. That you literally get a cold breakfast because your waiting on others in line.

Nice spacious room, larger separate kitchen area and also nice size bathroom. Came equipped with all the necessities you need and plenty of towels. Breakfast bar was amazing, something for everyone.

This brand new hotel was very nice with a beautiful lobby. Our queen suite was spacious with great amenities. The front desk staff was very friendly, professional and helpful.

No exaggeration everything was wonderful from the time we checked in to the time we checked out staff was so attentive, professional kind the building was clean. The rooms were nice and clean. The elevators were clean. Even the pool area was clean. Breakfast wasn’t the best, but that was my opinion

Stayed here during ArtPrize for my second year. Clean, updated rooms. Pet friendly accommodations for an additional fee and includes cats. Some hotels claim to be pet friendly, but only accept dogs. Decent breakfast. Staff is quick to restock breakfast items that run out. Hotel is close to any store/restaurant you might need and just a 15 minute drive from downtown Grand Rapids.

We had a great stay. There was five of us and we had plenty of beds. We used the pool and the gym. Both were very well maintained and clean. The pool was open from 6 am to 11 pm which was very convenient. The breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast with plenty options. The only downside was we didn't receive any cleaning services in the three days we were there. But it's not a deal breaker. We would definitely stay there again if we are in Grand Rapids again. Overall excellent.

Went to Grand Rapids to visit the Miejers Gardens. The hotel was coviniently located for us. The room was very nice and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The only bad thing was our coffee maker in our room did not work but the morning breakfast buffet had plenty of coffee and a good selection of breakfast items. Would recommend this hotel.

Hotel was clean and nicely renovated, room was spacious and great for family trip (small fridge and microwave in room). Bathroom was clean. Beds very comfortable. Pool was a good size for the kids to play. Breakfast was much nicer than most hotels with continental style option.

This place is amazing. We absolutely loved the staff. They were so helpful and friendly. Always had a smile on their faces. The rooms were clean, and the beds were super comfortable. Also, they are pet friendly, which was a huge plus for us. They have a pool (it was broken when we arrived but got fixed during our stay and we were able to use it). Our kids loved the pool. Overall, the hotel was very clean and quiet, and we felt safe there! Special shout out to Jack and Connor for going above and beyond for our little family.

So glad we picked this Hyatt to stay at. After reading the reviews, they were spot on. From the moment we walked in until we left, we felt comfortable and at home. The staff was very friendly, lobby was clean, the room was spotless and comfortable, hallways clean and quiet, elevators were even clean. We did stay on the 5th floor as I don’t like people above me. But there was a family next door to us and we never heard any noise. HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here!!

The hotel was spotless, very comfortable room, and such friendly and helpful staff !! I would be delighted to stay again. Breakfast was convenient and well done. I certainly enjoyed relaxing in the sparkling pool with the sunshine coming in the west windows.

The room was great! Clean and big, was able to plug in Playstation, it was quiet, everyone was nice, everything worked, hot tub and pool were perfect Temps, the bed was more comfortable than most hotel beds and I dont often find many beds that are comfortable due to chronic pain usually im tossing and turning even in my own bed but there were only a couple times I found myself having to move around a litte cuz my hips were hurting, even the couch bed was fairly comfortable for what it is and we only layed on it to watch tv at night before heading to bed. Plenty of pillows and sheets for the couch bed. Extra pillow cases. It's the best hotel iv stayed at in a long time and at that price I definitely would go back this will be my go to grand rapids cheep hotel. Breakfast was good eggs, sausage, waffles, bagles, toast, cereal, juice, a decent selection of food and spreads all for free and it was still hot an hr before end of Breakfast. The AC and heat worked great, the AC worked so good even in 90°F weather. It said online that the hot tub wouldnt be running but to my surprise it was perfect temp and the bubbles were nice and strong. I honestly did not want to leave if I had the money I would have lived there. The fitness center has a tv and free weights.

The first thing I noticed was how clean the building smelled! Not overly chemically, just fresh. It was so quiet, we stayed on July 4th night and I didn’t hear any other guests at all. The bed was SO comfortable and the pillows were pretty good. The young woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Can’t comment on breakfast as we ate elsewhere but it did smell hot and fresh. Close proximity to the highway. The giant castle next door made for interesting conversation. We’ll definitely stay again!

This was the second time my husband and I stayed at the hotel because we are moving to the area. The good tasting breakfast offered several choices and was served hot and fresh. Each day, something new and different was served and there was a good variety. The staff kept track if something was running low and was very prompt in bringing out more for the guests. The reception staff was very friendly and ready to assist in any way. I appreciate getting a good sleep and a good shower in a clean, comfortable, and quiet room.

We chose this hotel for its location, as we went to Grand Rapids for a concert at the Van Andel arena. It was perfect! Just a short drive into town. Country Inn was everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Warm atmosphere ( thank you Johanne!), very clean and cozy, great room, comfy bed, delicious hot breakfast, pool & spa! Even a late check out so we could avoid the icy morning road conditions. We'll definitely stay again when in the area.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights recently. We have never been before but would go again. All employees we had any contact with were very professional and friendly. Front desk staff helpful especially Lisa. I did not get names of others but they were very nice too. The breakfast was good, however, serving area a bit small and crowded on weekend. You just have to be patient. Plenty of table space though. Our room was comfortable and clean. The only negative about this hotel is that it is hard to find. It is located off 28th Street near I-96. Turn in where you see Target (28th Street) and go around to the side. You will pass a Hampton Inn and then SpringHill Suites will be next on your left. Better signs and directions would be helpful. We liked this hotel and would definitely stay there again. We recommend.

I loved my stay at this hotel in Grand Rapids, MI. The room was excellent with a great bedroom, bathroom with shower, vanity, and a couple a couch. The check in process was easy, and I so appreciate the airport shuttle service and got breakfast. My only qualm is the lack of gluten free foods in the little snack kiosk. I arrived after 7pm. The airport had no restaurants open, and there was no restaurants nearby to get food. The snack kiosk had some frozen meals, but all of them had gluten. My friend who also stayed there is celiac. I resorted to eating a granola bar for dinner. After almost 12 hrs of travel I had hoped to eat a meal. However breakfast was good, and I am thankful for my stay.

I was travelling alone and wanted a place I felt safe and quiet. This hotel worked out well for me. Although the rooms are a little older the bed was very comfortable with good bedding , there was good water pressure, the room was clean and the area was very quiet. I stayed four nights and if I wanted fresh towels all I had to do was add my name to a list each morning. What was really awesome is that my husband and I had stayed there years ago and there was a very sweet lady that worked in the dining area and she is still there!! Everyone was nice and polite.

The property and the room were impeccably clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable and the area was nicely quiet at night for the central location of the property. The staff were so kind to check us in slightly early due to our needs. We weren’t able to enjoy the breakfast since we needed to get going earlier in the morning, but everything we observed and experienced was nice.

The room was spacious, the beds were comfy, and there was hardly any noise that could be heard. We got a great night’s sleep. The breakfast area was a bit of a mess for a bit as coffee cups and utensil bins were empty. Only one person working the breakfast are and she was in the kitchen for quite awhile, so a few guests started going through cupboards to find what we needed. Other than that, it was a great stay!

Everything! I spent along time looking for the right hotel for me and my teenage daughter on our first trip to USA. Read lots of reviews- had me worried. But my goodness I have never felt so safe and welcomed in this amazing hotel. From the minute we arrived in our huge room - we felt safe. It was quiet in our room and so very comfortable. It had everything we needed and more. We were in room 202- lush room overlooking the pond. We loved it. Huge bed. Staff were so friendly and kind. Breakfast was simple but fine and we enjoyed it each morning. We used the gym and pool. Quiet and lovely. We walked to the shops and restaurants easily, but u need a car to go further. We were sad to leave this lovely place, would love to stay again.

Recent renovations provided clean, ample rooms with comfortable beds and plenty of closet space.Pump bottle soap, bath gel and shampoo as well as a walk-in shower with nonslip flooring were appreciated. Breakfast offerings were the usual and the hot food had good flavor. The staff were friendly and welcoming as were the shuttle drivers. The only criticism is the in-room coffee which has zero flavor. Apart from that this is an excellent hotel.

We came here for a family get-together-3 rooms, 3 seniors and 1 family with kids. Everyone was happy. We got to the breakfast buffet about a half hour before it ended and it was pretty picked over. Yogurt was gone and fruit too, but they did replace those. Breakfast was certainly sufficient with sausage, eggs, and potatoes. But the staff was wonderful, the entire facility was super clean and I liked the decor- very simple (sort of a Swedish vibe). We will stay here next time we come back. One important note: our GPS took us to the Target parking lot, but once there, stay to your left and follow the road around and up to your left for the hotel. It’s off the beaten path which makes it peaceful and quiet.

The king bed room had the look and feel of a studio apartment more than a hotel room. The room was incredibly clean and the staff at the morning breakfast and front desk was incredibly courteous and friendly! Also their waffle bar at breakfast was delicious!

Beautiful room , smell clean , looks very clean, amazing breakfast, very peaceful environment, nice decorations, staff very friendly 👌, check out at noon that's nice .

My husband, 2-year-old daughter, our dog, and I stayed two nights over a weekend in a king-bed suite. Our daughter slept great on the trundle bed that pulled out from the couch, and I highly recommend it for young children because no bedrails were needed. Air conditioning worked great. The fridge was a little run-down but worked, and the microwave and wet bar were fine. Plenty of storage areas in the room. Loved the TV options with all kinds of streaming services and even YouTube. The free breakfast was pretty standard but plentiful enough with a couple hot options that did change slightly from morning to morning along with the usual continental breakfast food. The pool was small but well-maintained. It was closed briefly for the pool ladder to be fixed after some kids were too rough on it, but it was fixed quickly and we got to take our daughter swimming both days. We also were able to get a late checkout for 2pm which was very helpful to allow our daughter to nap. The 24-hr mart was small but had some decent choices. There's a movie theater and tons of restaurants and stores nearby also.

Check in was fast and smooth. Front desk was friendly. The room was quiet and cozy. Perfect for the 4 of us with the Trundle bed and room separation. Bathroom fan was a bit loud for nighttime, wish there was a separate switch for the fan/light. Bedding was cozy. We brought extra blankets for the girls and their own pillows to make it more comfortable. The pool was smaller, but we had a great time swimming and it wasn't crowded.

A perfect location for access to shopping, dining, and freeway with an ideal suite layout we could not have been more pleased. Staff were always pleasant and attentive to our needs. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and quality fresh bagels and muffins.

Very clean close proximity to the downtown area especially to the venue that I was in town to visit. Staff was amazing friendly welcoming rooms were exceptionally spacious, clean up-to-date.

We had stayed at this hotel a year ago and really liked it. The manager was Tammy at that time and she was super friendly and so helpful after a long drive for us. This time the management was changed and not for the better. The manager who helped us with the reservation was not friendly. Acutally kind of rude. I talked to the regional manager and he wasn't a lot better. He did apologize for the rudeness but he was kind of a fake nice. So this year the stay wasn't as great. But on the other hand this is a very nice hotel. The rooms are always bright and clean. Beds are comfy. Shower is nice. We always get a King room which is a very good size. This hotel is close to shopping and restarurants. It has a nice size bar and restaurant in the hotel. The menu for the restaurant is not bad. Quite a good selection. We really like this hotel, but not sure we would stay here next year if the management is going to be that rude. The other thing that irritated us is we stayed Thursday through Sunday, then asked if we could stay one more night, Monday night. We were told a price but when we got the receipt the price of the room was way higher than what we were told. My husband went back in and asked about it and he was told its because Monday is one of their busiest nights. Wish we would have been told that when we asked to stay the extra night.

First time staying in a Holiday Inn. We chose this hotel because it was newer. Not the most romantic. It is right off the highway which is a plus. The room was spacious. I really liked the oversized shower with the glass door. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Now for my dislikes. It’s located in an industrial area. I remember only seeing a McDonalds and gas station. Alpine Ave exit is loaded with places to eat and shops which is approximately 10 minutes away. The bed was too firm for me. I was disappointed no microwave in the room to warm our food. However there is one you can use downstairs in their grocery area. No continental breakfast or anything of that sort at this location. There is a restaurant. We didn’t eat there but looked at the menu and the prices were like most restaurants. The thing that bothered me the most was the noise which is no fault of the hotel. I could always tell when someone above us was getting ready in the morning or coming in for the day. I figured it was a guy because there were a lot of men and business vehicles there. Also I could hear the cleaning crew vacuuming which woke me from sleep.

This hotel is in a nice area. It is extremally clean and looks brand new. The open floor as you walk in is very welcoming as if going into a sit down restaurant. You can get your breakfast cooked to order. I appreciate the inexpensive washer and dryer. I can't express how impressed I was with the cleanliness of the entire hotel. The sheets were so soft and the pillow options were squishy soft to a med firm. Thank you for that! The staff in morning and evening were so friendly and accommodating to the little details of our stay. This hotel location has a heart and stars next to it so I remember this is a perfect hotel to stay at when in the area. Great job Holiday Inn- setting the best quality standards for other hotels to follow.

I stayed for one night. The welcome was pleasant. The hotel was bright and clean. The elevator to the third floor was good. My room was clean and comfortable. The pillows were fluffy. The TV worked and stations were listed and sufficient. I did not use the restaurant. I had a complementary cup of tea in the morning. There was a Keurig, refrigerator, tea, ironing board and iron, closet with hangers, a small table that could be used as a bed tray or laptop table, small oval desk with chair, and bathroom with shower in my room.

Clean hotel. Lower price in the area but no breakfast included, so if you want the ease of waking up and going downstairs for breakfast, it’s not a good deal. They do offer a menu breakfast. Prices were moderate. Staff wasn’t overly friendly but not rude at all. Good for a one night layover

The room itself was clean and comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. I would NOT recommend the breakfast "buffet." Free continental breakfasts at cheaper hotels were better than what was offered for the $15/person or whatever the cost was. Everything was cold and it lacked any type of options at all. I would definitely opt out of breakfast (even if you pre-pay for it at a cheaper price).. you'd be better off with a McDs breakfast. other than that, the hotel itself was fine.

We were completely surprised by our room, it was like a mini suite. There was a jacuzzi, a sofa that could have been made into an extra bed. A comfortable arm chair, a mini fridge, a microwave, and a very nice shower. It was more than we expected. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

We’ve stayed here three times over the past month. It’s a little older property, but the rooms are always clean and comfortable! The staff is friendly and attentive. They provide a typical hot hotel breakfast which is more than adequate. There are two restaurants across the parking lot which we’ve eaten at each time. We recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

This was a lovely place to stay. The grounds were clean and attractive. This hotel is extremely convenient to GVSU. It's a 5-minute drive. The entry way was nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good with several options. I recommend staying here. It was convenient to several dining options.

This hotel was clean, comfortable and we felt safe there. However, the building itself had issues. Our sink faucet dripped, which we mentioned to the manager when we left. He laughed and said ok, but didn’t promise to have it looked at. The toilet paper holder space was not finished off nicely during construction. The toilet seat was on crooked, making it awkward to use. Not sure we would stay at this hotel again, because it doesn’t look like it’s being maintained well. Our breakfast was more than adequate, and staff was friendly.

I stayed at the Baymont by Wyndham Walker in May 2024 with two students to attend a conference in Grand Rapids. The hotel was reasonably priced (much more so than the official conference hotel downtown), clean, quiet, and the beds were comfortable. We arrived at midnight and the night clerk was friendly and efficient at getting us checked in. Check out was very smooth as well. It was pretty easy to get from the hotel to downtown Grand Rapids for the conference--I think it was about a 10-15 minute drive. The only critiques I have are that the free breakfast was a bit lackluster (cereal, toast, and rubbery waffles) and the parking lot was pretty crowded. We were always able to find a place to park but often there were only 1-2 spots open. But these are pretty minor issues considering that the hotel met all the real requirements we had at a decent price.

Connor at the front desk was amazing. He was welcoming and accommodating. I made sure that he was. I was comfortable with my stay and made sure. I knew about breakfast times where the pool was. I was utterly impressed with the customer service and the smell of the foyer

We loved Laurie, the front desk lady , she is so welcoming and professional and made the check in a smooth sail. This hotel is great, very clean , and serves hot breakfast a total plus . I highly recommend this hotel.

Pets are welcome, very friendly staff, the coffee/tea station, extremely nice and clean rooms, location - in GR but set apart in a quiet setting of its own, indoor pool available, the rooms are absolutely great!

Tahya and Maddison checked us in and they were beyond amazing. Not only did they take care of checking us in but made excellent recommendations about places to dine. Monellli’s was fantastic! Everything the 4 of us ordered was beyond amazing!! Breakfast was hot and delicious. When food ran out, they were quickly replaced. Rooms spotless. Best ever shower. Modern room with many outlets for all the electronics. Microwave, decent good sized fridge. Very clean. Location great. 6 stars out of 5!!!

I was traveling for business and stayed here. The room (king bed) was spacious and clean. There was a bed, sofa and desk. Also a small tray table for the sofa and two ottomans. I was on the fourth floor and the room was quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have real hot breakfast, which was quite tasty and had a nice variety. I will stay here the next time I'm in town.

The location was convenient to the places we intended to visit. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in early. They had a well stocked complimentary breakfast, served in a large, comfortable area.

My husband and I stayed here because it is on its way to the Gilmore Museum plus we wanted to go to Max’s South Sea’s Hideaway downtown. The hotel was easy on/easy off. Super clean. Had a microwave, fridge, and coffee in our room. The continental breakfast was fantastic. It also was very clean. They had a waffle maker, oatmeal (with choice of dried cherries and walnuts), mini omelettes, sausage, fruit, bread, cereal, muffins, coffee, juice - everything. The napkins were thick like fine dining! It was $175 total for a Friday night. I thought the price was well worth it.

Just needed a clean, comfortable fairly priced room near the airport. Hotel met my expectations. I paid slightly more to stay in a room with a balcony which put me up on the top floor(3rd floor), and glad I did, just gave the room a little extra since I had a layover day. Room was as pictured, room was clean, bed was very comfortable, good sized flat screen, reception folks were friendly and courteous. I needed a shuttle to the airport very early(5:30am) outside of the free shuttle hours, and they were quick to accommodate and help me get that arranged.

Hotel was clean room was clean we have no complaints breakfast u had several choices and was clean we would book here again if we came back to Michigan. All the staff at the hotel was very nice everything was like it was suppose to be very clean place

Everything seemed very clean and tidy throughout the room, building and grounds. My non-smoking room did NOT smell of smoke but was fresh and clean. Breakfast was good with a nice variety of hot and cold choices and a large, clean dining area.

Up to date lobby. Nice, spacious and clean room. Coffee and hot water are available 24 hours. Good breakfast with eggs , sausages and the usual cereals, oatmeal.... It is replenished regularly. Good wifi but it's open.

Good and bad. But, we will stay again for sure, and just complain again if necessary. For the good - the staff is incredible. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly. We especially enjoyed our time with Dee. De works the breakfast buffet, and she is wonderful. Our room was super! Very clean, very quiet, nice bed, great water pressure, and well stocked. For the bad - the guest printer was not working and the staff did not know how to fix it. The worst is that again, someone had a pet in the breakfast area, which upsets me to the max! Also, people walking around in the breakfast area without shoes or socks, just barefoot. That is disgusting. It's bad enough we have to see some people in pajamas, but bare feet in the breakfast area is beyond acceptable.

We travelled with our 3 teenage boys and the two room suite was absolutely perfect for us. The boys enjoyed the pool and the breakfast buffet. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We have stayed at various Staybridge Suites before but this one gets an extra gold star for its great staff! Room was clean and common areas were very clean as well.

Just stayed at the Stay Bridge in Grandville for the second time and I will definitely be back for a third. I think it’s a great affordable, yet high quality option. The location is wonderful as you have access to RiverTown Mall, so many other shopping options and restaurants galore. I always book a room with a little kitchenette which is cute and convenient. As a woman I feel safe staying here alone. I bring my dog and it’s convenient as there is space to walk him, ect. Pool and hot tub is clean. Hot tub could be warmer but it’s not a major deal. Breakfast has been yummy but I didn’t get up early enough this time to utilize it. Like I said, I’ll be back. Would definitely recommend:)

My daughter and I stayed here for one night, just to get out of the house! It had a great location, it is across the street from RiverTown Crossings and close to all the other things we wanted to do. The hotel was very clean. There were plenty of common areas to sit and relax, if that’s your thing. We had to have a pool and the hot tub was a bonus. It was a spacious area, with plenty of pool towels and easy access to bathrooms/changing area. The hot tub was not “hot” to my standards.. so that was a bit disappointing for me but it was still enjoyable. We had a studio room and it was a great size for us. It had all the amenities we needed and even more we didn’t use. They use magnets to be placed on the outside of your door, if you need anything, don’t want to be disturbed or have a dog in your room. Cute idea! The free breakfast buffet was one of the nicest I’ve ever seen and I’ve been to quite a lot. There is a very large eating area as well. Though there was snow, we could see all the patio tables and chairs outside and outdoor televisions. It’s probably very fun in the warmer months as well. Overall, it was a wonderful stay!

I am very picky when it comes to hotel stays so I read reviews prior to booking here. After reading some of the bad reviews, I was hesitant to book here but decided to give them a chance. From my experience here I would say take the bad reviews with a grain of salt. The place looks well maintained, staff were friendly and accommodating. My room was cute, as my girlfriend described it. It was clean, had a fresh feel in the air and was comfortable. Breakfast was awesome and had a variety. I would highly recommend Americ Inn over and over again as a great value and comfortable experience.

The towels were seriously the softest towels ever!!! As a solo female traveler I liked how safe it felt and the location was perfect distance to all of thing I needed and places I wanted to visit. The toilet in the room may need a new seal it would run for a very long time but after a few times of wiggling the handle it stopped and breakfast was great I didn't try the apple cinnamon waffles but they sounded and smelled amazing and I loved that they had cartoons on TV for breakfast it was a very positive start to the day

Clean rooms and building. Pulling into parking lot and looking at building was impressive. The lobby is very nice looking and elegant. Breakfast was typical waffles and bagels. Room was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Unfortunately at 330am the fire alarm went off. Evacuated the building while staff searched for a fire while suspecting a bag of burnt popcorn set off the alarms which was confirmed by the fire department. Staff remained calm and professional as far as I could tell.

It also did not disturb our sleep, all quiet after 10pm. It is an extended stay but we just stayed overnight. It was perfect for us. Felt very safe, very friendly staff and again…clean.

Loved our stay & would definitely recommend & would always book to stay again. Staff went above & beyond, really comfortable beds, great ac/heating, easy laundry, smart tv, always hot water for good shower, good sized parking bays & plenty of them, easy getting in and out from very busy area a block or 2 away, close to shops, take out, restaurants etc, quiet and chilled, very new, fresh and clean. Grateful for such a lovely place to stay for our 10 day visit to Grand Rapids!

Comfortable room, very clean, room had small kitchenette with a fridge and microwave. The location was perfect for our needs! Value for the money is crazy good. The front desk staff was very nice and were kind enough to let us check in early. The only caveat is that this is an extended stay hotel, which can sometimes bring in less ritzy guests. We didn't encounter anything negative in that regard here. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place, I highly recommend this hotel.

The bathtub was very clean. The room was well maintained and the bed was comfortable. The window opened!! Staff was helpful and recommended local businesses. Renting the dishes, kitchen items, etc was very helpful.

I've never used an extended stay property before, so I'm not sure how this one compares. I was surprised by the limited front desk hours. There was no one to check out with when I left, so I just left my room keys at the desk. Not even a drop box. There is no listed check-in "before" time, but the front desk closed at 8:00p... and I got in at 8:15p. So I had to call a number to have the on call manager come down and open up the desk for check-in. That felt a bit weird. I failed to notice that there was no continental breakfast, so that was a disappointment. But that's on me for not seeing that. Overall the facility felt clean enough. The room was a bit small, and I would regret the lack of much comfortable seating if I were spending the day there. The bathroom was nice. There is a full size fridge which is nice too, with a real freezer. A nice amount of storage for clothes. No included room or linen service, but that doesn't bother me (I only was there 3 nights). Overall, it's a fine place to stay. Clean, comfortable beds.

Staybridge Suites Grand Rapids: Spacious Suites, Stellar Gym, But One Annoying Hiccup We recently stayed at the Staybridge Suites in Grand Rapids, Michigan with our family of 6 for a debate tournament. While we were primarily out and about for the competition, the hotel provided a comfortable and convenient home base for our busy schedule. Spacious Suites: The two-bedroom suite was fantastic! It offered plenty of space for our family to spread out. We appreciated having two full bathrooms, which helped us get ready quickly in the mornings. Plus, the 1/2 kitchen was perfect for storing snacks and drinks, and came in handy for light meals after long days. The TV was a nice way to unwind in the evenings. Fantastic Gym: A big highlight of our stay was the hotel gym. It was truly the best we've ever seen in a hotel! They had a wide variety of dumbbells, a treadmill, an elliptical, and ample space for floor exercises like jumping jacks. This was a lifesaver for staying active during our busy trip. Good Breakfast & Service: The breakfast was good, with a variety of options to suit different tastes. The service staff were friendly and helpful. Trash Issue: The only real downside to our stay was that housekeeping never came to take out the trash during our entire 4-day stay. This resulted in a rather large and unpleasant trash bag accumulating in the corner of the room. Overall: A great place to stay for a trip!

we had an awesome two-night stay there, really appreciated the free dinner and great breakfast. the room was comfortable, beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean and liked the walk-in shower. The staff was excellent and welcoming.

Staff was very friendly, check in smooth. The room was spacious however not very clean. There was debris all over the floor including a piece of plastic my husband stepped on with bare feet. There were onion peels on a pillow and the couch, a piece of brownie or something on the floor, obviously the room was not vacuumed. All doors were stained/smudged with something that I easily cleaned off with a towel. There were stains all along the walls in the bathrooms (like coffee was spilled down the wall and left there) and a stain on the bedding. This is not the first time we stayed here so was surprised how poorly cleaned this room was when we arrived. Disappointed that this may cause us not to stay here again.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The manager took the time to visit with us and had some great recommendations. Accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The maintenance workers took such pride in cleaning…they were even cleaning the legs of the patio furniture. Would definitely stay again!

We stay at the DoubleTree GRR airport many times every year when we pass thru Grand Rapids. It is comfy with competent and friendly staff. Rooms are relatively roomy with good soundproof walls and comfortable beds. The on-site full service restaurant is convenient and provides very good cooked to order or buffet breakfast, and dinner selections, unusual in many reasonably priced hotels. The lobby and public facilities are well lighted and quite spacious. This hotel is older but well maintained. Very convenient to GRR with free shuttle and ample free parking. The complementary cookies are so delicious too. Overall an excellent value.

Stayed two nights for an on-site conference. Overall the stay was very good. We were upgraded to the Junior King Suite which was nice. It had a sitting/dining area, a small entrance with sink and fridge, bedroom, bathroom, and small patio off the bedroom (did not use the patio as there was a snow storm). The room was very comfortable. Lots of pillows and bed was comfy and clean. The shower had excellent water pressure. The only real negative is that the heat was SO LOUD when it would turn on. It woke me up every time. During the day, you would have to turn up the TV to hear it over the heat sound. Super loud. Staff were incredible. One lady even stopped me in the lobby because she overheard me talking about needing a place to get food and gave me a fantastic recommendation (Smokey Bones!). Rick and the rest of the front desk staff were spectacular. Super attentive and responsive. The hotel was obviously super convenient since the conference was IN the hotel. Meanwhile, lots of stuff nearby- Target, Starbucks, etc. About 15 minutes drive from the downtown area. Didn't get to use $15 food/bev credit because the restaurant was closed two of the days we were there and opened the day we left.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, although the beds were small. Lots of room in the lobby to hang out and plenty of parking. We were here for a soccer tournament so we got vouchers for the continental breakfast at the restaurant which was nice. It was what you would exect for breakfast. Rooms were pretty quiet considering there was a lot of kids here for a tournament. Lots of places nearby to eat or shop also. I would stay here again

Very friendly staff. I had some issues and they were more than happy to help me. Rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable. I did feel the rooms were quite basic, no fridge or microwave and small. The pool is not very child friendly. It has a quick drop off to over 7 ft. It was thankfuly marked with a rope, still made me nervous. 100% recommend getting the breakfast!

Clean, quiet, a bit old, but had a good stay. Hot tub and pool were fun. Restaurant closed at 9pm. Target and many restaurants nearby - even walking distance.

It was such as an amazing experience that I added on to our stay. There was a fire alarm situation that another guest pulled the button during breakfast. The staff handled everything great! They were calm, they assisted by getting everyone clean blankets or towels to stay warm. It was quick! The breakfast was excellent every day! Much nicer than many other hotels that include breakfast. I also loved that they have a hot tub! Our room was spacious and nice, and a perfect way to relax at the end of a busy day!

Amazing hotel if your looking for a budget friendly spacious hotel room, ofc nothings perfect But it was a great size room was also very clean and had amazing amenities. The hotel staff were very kind and accommodating, brought us extra pillows and towels when we asked! We had a great trip and are excited to go back and stay again.

I had a king suite and liked it alot. It was clean, comfortable and cozy. Bathroom was updated adding to the appeal. The furniture in the sitting area needs replacement though. I didn't feel like sitting there but I was there only one night. For an extended stay, that would have been a drawback. Kitchen was very convenient, but they should provide more than one set of eating utensils. The garbage disposal was too powerful for the small size sink. Not a big deal, just throws food out when turned on. Overall a very inviting room. I was not crazy about being across from the elevator, but there were only one or two noisy guests briefly passing by.

Staff was very attentive and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The staff were professional yet very friendly and quick to accommodate our easy needs. Parking lot always had spaces open and convenient to our room. The availability of the full kitchenette was wonderful. We enjoyed the covered patio gathering space to read and dine.

The hotel was very nice, staff, the cleanness, and the pool area were all in good standing. They even had a hot tub which most places don't. The breakfast bar was very delicious and clean. The internet work well for my business needs and also got to play a game or two with no lag.

the hotel that i went to is an amazing experience, it was really clean and so much attention to detail, i loved it and would go back there again, the breakfast was good, but maybe a little more different things will be good but other than that its perfect i recommend to anybody.

The room itself was very clean and presented well upon arrival. The shower was spotless -down to the drain spotless. The bed looked and smelled clean and was very comfortable. The room’s kitchen area was a huge help with our leftovers from dinner and our beverages. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The pool/hot tub area was clean and spacious.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels/motels - this was first time ever in a Rodeway. This place is really nice. Take any older negative reviews with a grain of salt. As others have posted, this hotel seems to have been renovated. Room was spacious and clean, nice new towels, amazing water pressure in the shower, bed was comfortable. I was here for a night for work so didn't use the pool but that area is really great! Hot tub too. Would be a fun place to hang for a few days if you have kids. The area around it is nothing special. There's a Brann's next door but not much else within walking distance. But Grand Rapids, Allendale (GVSU), downtown Grandville are all close by. Plus the rate was amazing. Definitely check it out if in the area.

We reserved a single room for one night. Upon arrival, the hotel looked inviting from the outside. As we entered, we were welcomed by a clean, bright atmosphere and a friendly woman at the front desk. The check-in process was straightforward, and we faced no issues accessing our room. After inspecting the room, we found it to be clean, well-maintained, and free of unpleasant odors. The beds were neatly made and bug-free. Every area, including the bathroom, was thoroughly cleaned. They provided plenty of towels and didn’t skimp on the pillows. Our stay was peaceful; we hardly heard any other guests. The ice machine, vending area, and laundry facilities were all functional, and the pool was pleasant and well-kept. While the breakfast was somewhat unimpressive, it didn’t detract from our overall satisfaction with the stay. We will definitely return!

When you arrive at a place and see a smile it is the best gift, after a bad experience at my previous hotel I arrive at this one and see a friendly face willing to help, it is the best, this hotel with very clean locations and a friendly face upon arrival exceeded expectations. We were visiting my in laws coming in from across the state. We stayed in a room with a King bed and a pullout couch. In the room there was a large fridge (big enough for a few days worth of food) and beautiful wood floors. My husband, daughter and I had a pleasant experience. We treated ourselves to the mom and pop restaurant right in the parking lot...great food there too. The housekeepers called and asked if we needed anything each day and the office staff helped us navigate the city. Thanks again.

Nice clean room, definitely an improvement from last year. Even the lobby and front office look chipper. Flat screen TV and whole new look, I'm impressed. Good effort. I will be back for another visit.

The location is 15 mins from the Meijer Gardens that we visited prior to check-in. The Hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable of Grand Rapids and the Heritage Hills neighborhood. The Breakfast was Great (fluffy pancakes, scramble eggs, bacon, hashbrowns with vegetables, blueberry souffle, and yogurt with a variety of berries, bran, and nuts. The house is HUGE with several common rooms; including a 24/7 snack room (coffee, tea, non-alcoholic cold beverages, bagels, popcorn, trail mix, fruit bars, pop tarts, yogurt, and other refrigerated goodies. The back yard has 4 outdoor tables & chairs with umbrellas surrounded by beautiful flower beds. The Princess Cecile room is large and very comfortable, and has a jacuzzi tub / shower. The hosts provided a map of local restaurants & business within walking distance (within 1 mile). We enjoyed our 10 minute walk to/from the Zivio restaurant (The menu is limited, but the food is very good). Our 1-night stay at the Leonard of Logan House was exceptional, and we rate it 10 out of 10, and we will be return again for other events in Grand Rapids or just passing through.

My daughter and I were traveling from Detroit metro area to Grand Rapids for an appointment and decided to spend the night in GR. We booked at Leo and at Logan House instead of a hotel hoping for a ‘homey’ feel to our stay. What an excellent choice! We were warmly greeted by Ken and Ruth and given a tour of the house. The first floor has several lounging spacious lounging areas with beautiful views to the gardens outside. The kitchen is we-stocked with 24 hour access to a full service coffee machine (cappuccino, latte, americano, hot water etc), teas, sodas, juices, milk, no -dairy milk, yogurt, bagels, bread, and more. There was a table with home baked cookies, pumpkin bread and scones. In the morning Ken and Ruth made a delicious breakfast of fruit/yogurt/granola cup, scrambled cheesy eggs, maple bacon ( the most delicious I’ve ever had!), blueberry soufflé and carrot cake. Our Sir Charles room was so cozy and had everything we needed ie shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer) and a binder of things to do and where to eat in GR. There were chairs outside to enjoy nature in the back yard. Parking was free and easy in front of the house. The neighborhood was perfectly located and very walkable to nearby store and restaurants. We really enjoyed getting to know John!

This place is awesome! It far exceeded my expectations. This is a very large historical Grand Rapids home and it is gorgeous! The amenities, hospitality and location couldn't have been more perfect for our weekend getaway. Our room was nice and clean with a very comfortable bed. They have an outdoor patio/garden section that is simply beautiful. The breakfast was spectacular, an excellent beginning to each day we stayed! The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We never had a need go unmet and our hosts were quite friendly and fun. There was information in our rooms about popular places to eat and visit during our stay. Leonard at Logan house is very close to the downtown area, and in an area with many great options to choose from to eat and shop!

Welcoming staff, quiet, comfortable, beautiful neighborhood, walkable to nearby restaurants, bars & shopping, and amazing breakfast. They checked every box.

Amazing breakfast (served at 9am). All 3 breakfasts during our stay were different, but always included some kind of egg dish, meat, fruit, yogurt, granola, and some phenomenal pastries. Other guests we met there had returned specifically for the delicious food. Hosts were wonderful. Had everything we needed, bed was comfortable, charming historic home. Get tickets well ahead if you want to see the inside of the May house by Frank Lloyd Wright (1 block away). We got Lime scooters a few blocks away and explored the historic district. What a blast! Good espresso nearby (Rowster Coffee on Wealthy), and we enjoyed two restaurants in the neighborhood Testa Rossa Italian and Donkey Taqueria.

This hotel is well worth the few extra dollars it costs. They have extensive breakfast choices to meet everyones needs. The pool and hottub was clean and warm. The arcade room is an added bonus. The room was large with great amenities. And the later checkout is great! Close to Meijer gardens and shopping. This will be the only hotel I will stay at in the future!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Country Inn and Suites. Everything was perfect from the time we checked until we left. The front desk clerk was possibly the most friendly clerk I have ever encountered, and we travel a lot! And the management must be doing some effective training with the staff, because every single employee we saw greeted us and were so friendly! I saw that this really makes an impact on how you feel about your stay at a hotel. So hats off to this hotel for making people feel very welcome! The room was very nice and comfortable. The lobby was unusually beautiful for a hotel this size. There was even a fireplace and comfortable chairs, sofa, table and games! Breakfast was amazing, I can’t think of anything they didn’t have, including multiple hot food items, and ample choice. The breakfast area is large and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool area and jacuzzi which was also very clean and nice. Tea, coffee and cookies are always available. The price was very reasonable for what they offer. We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area!

What a comfortable, clean, modern and warm place to stay! The front desk staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The hotel itself was within walking distance to so many restaurants and bars and boutique shops. Grand Rapids is such a charming and safe city, we loved that we were able to park for the weekend, and walk everywhere. Coming back to an amazing shower and a comfortable bed in the evening made it even better!

I stayed for one night while in town for a concert at The Intersection, and the location could not be more perfect - quick and easy walk to the venue. I felt totally comfortable coming and going. The hotel is clean, stylish, and surprisingly quiet. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious with everything I needed for a quick trip. The staff was friendly and genuinely helpful from check-in to check-out. I didn’t have a chance to try the onsite restaurants this visit, but I did pop over to One Twenty Three Tavern next door and I highly recommend. Great atmosphere, great service, and their Smashburger was chef’s kiss. I’ll absolutely be back there next time. Overall, this was the perfect home base for a night out in Grand Rapids. I’d definitely stay here again!

I'm surprised by the average rating — I had a wonderful one-night stay at the stylish and sleek Canopy in downtown Grand Rapids with my husband this past Saturday night. Check-in was a breeze, and the friendly ladies at the front desk informed me that if I used the Studio parking garage around the corner, they could add a sticker to my parking ticket for unlimited in-and-out privileges (which, by the way, resulted in no charge after checking out and leaving the garage in the morning, an added bonus). The Scandinavian/mid-mod style rooms are lovely! The 7th-floor king room was spacious, with ample light throughout and a huge window with a comfy couch and bed. Loved that the coffee machine was a Nespresso machine, which we helped ourselves to before a night on the town and in the morning the next day. You're really close to everything downtown, and an added bonus was that you could use your room key for discounts at area restaurants and bars (if I recall, it was 20% off at Founders and 15 or 10% off at Stella's, Hopcat, and probably somewhere else I'm forgetting—confirm with the front desk). We didn't have time to try the rooftop bar or downstairs restaurant for breakfast, but would love to next time. I will absolutely be back for a long weekend stay; this was one of my favorite hotel stays in recent memory!

I chose this hotel mainly because of its location, which was ideal for our plans in Grand Rapids. We were there for one night. As Hilton Gold members, we were upgraded to a beautiful corner suite, which we very much appreciated. The mid-century modern design was carried out in our suite and throughout the hotel. The suite was lovely and beyond spacious. Robes were provided in the bathroom closet, and filtered water dispensers were available near the elevator on each floor for filling water bottles. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add an actual mini-fridge, rather than the cooling drawer in the kitchenette area, which was not really cold. (We wanted to chill some beer we'd bought earlier, and eventually were able to do that using our ice bucket, but a refrigerator would have been easier.) We were able to find a parking spot in the nearby garage with no problem (it is a $30 charge, but according to our receipt, overnight parking would have been $60 if we were not hotel guests). We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant the next morning; food and coffee were delicious. This was one of the pricier places we stayed during our 2 weeks in Michigan, but we enjoyed it.

I dare to say that I think I like this hotel better than the JW Marriott Downtown. This hotel is in the heart of everything, its got an amazing restaurant on the main level and another roof top bar/restaurant on the 8th floor. We had a corner room, service was amazing and I loved that it was a tossimo for coffee instead of normal crappy hotel coffee. I loved that they had a glass water bottle to fill with ice an water instead of water bottles. Everything was so great. We'll be staying here every time we stay downtown from now on.

It's a beautiful place, I had fun exploring the reception and ballroom areas. I requested a room as high up in the tower as was available and the staff at check-in were happy to accommodate this request and give suggestions on nearby places my 13y.o. daughter might like exploring. We were there to celebrate her birthday. Several of the tower rooms facing the river are set up to give corner views and the view was amazing. The hotel itself has a cool bowling type lounge, a couple nice/fancy restaurants and some upscale shops. None of these appealed to my daughter but there is so much within walking distance it wasn't a problem. We had a great time renting scooters and she loved the food and atmosphere at Stella's Lounge. The pool was nice but not as special as I had expected for a rooftop pool. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious, no complaints. Because it's so expensive, to me it's not worth going unless it's a really special event but if that's what you are looking for this is the place.

What a great way to spend our anniversary!! We checked in on May 29 for our anniversary (1 night, then on to camping in Holland). The young woman who checked us in was welcoming and smooth, really quick transition to our room. The room was a gorgeous corner with views of the city and the Grand River. My husband forgot his shirt for our dinner, a quick trip down to the shop and he had a great shirt. Dinner was at Ruth Chris's, see my review on that separately. Jenny, our waiter, was very knowledgeable and even suggested the chopped salad. Great recommendation. We decided to go to the Lumber Baron's bar afterward for live music, dessert and after dinner drinks. The bartenders were attentive and Jenny had let them know that we were on our way! That was a really nice touch. Overall, recommend the Amway Grand, can't wait to stay there again longer!

I loved the view and the location. We were able to walk to our destination. We were able to walk to find dinner and breakfast was right in the building. Beautiful facility. Friendly staff even other guests staying were friendly. It was a lovely stay. Very affordable and comfortable. I do wish they had had an extra blanket on the closet shelf instead of an extra pillow but the lack of one did not stop me from sleeping. Our room was quiet, we never heard any of our fellow guests staying in the other rooms. I hope to stay again some day.

The room and lobby are clean, secure and quiet. Updated decor and well appointed with plenty of comfy places to sit in the lobby. Breakfast was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. A new-to-us security feature: just inside the door of our room, there is a cardholder with a plastic keycard. Removing this key makes it so no one can open the door with a keycard from the hallway (think maid service). Caveat: removing the key from the holder disables the light fixtures in the hall and bathroom—took us a minute to figure that out!

Loved the location and the cleanliness. Perfect place to stay and walk to the ballpark. The room was very clean, bed comfortable and shower good. Like that there is no carpeting and they have hooks to hang things. Very friendly staff and a decent breakfast is included. Great value for your money.

This was one of the best, most thought out, hotels I have ever stayed at. The lobby is a fun space & many people were hanging out when we arrived. The room doesn't have carpet & that was fantastic! The king bed was extremely comfortable. There were so many outlets next to the bed & many others throughout the room. The bathroom has permanent liquid hand soap & lotion on the wall by the sink. The walk-in shower was perfect! There is shampoo, conditioner & body wash permanently on the wall. The breakfast was really good. You could choose from bagels, toast, eggs, turkey sausage, cold cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, yogurt, and muffins. Overall, it was a fabulous stay!

This stay was perfect for our weekend visit to Grand Rapids. The hotel was clean and quiet, excellent location, and served great breakfast. The only negative was parking. There is a garage attached to the hotel but it’s not well-marked as hotel parking, and there is no specific info within booking information. Otherwise, parking is convenient and easy in/out.

Prentiss at the front desk was very friendly professional and accommodating. He went above and beyond our expectations and made our stay much more enjoyable. I was there for a medical issue and the beautiful, clean and comfortable room helped distract my attention from this issue. Thank you!

The room was a gift for my daughter and son in law’s honeymoon. Jocelyn was so wonderfully amazing in helping with all the details and the manager Amber gifted the couple a bottle of wine. The breakfast buffet was great and the pool was just the right temperature. The jacuzzi spa was very relaxing, inside and outside. The staff is so pleasant and friendly. I will definitely recommend this place and also stay here again.

We came to Grand Rapids for a shopping trip. This hotel is just a block from the mall entrance and right in the heart of the shopping district. There are friendly smiling faces on the hotel staff which is always welcoming. The room is spotless and modern, and the bed is very comfortable. Includes a coffee maker and bottled water. My husband loved the bar in the lobby, where he spent time while I shopped:) Our bartender was amazing! The bar menu has various options, but be careful; the nachos are delicious but have spicy aioli on top! A sports bar with a full dinner menu is also next door. I would stay at this hotel again.

The staff was very professional, kind and helpful. Called to ask questions about food and the man who answered put me on hold quickly, and then got back on and listed everything on the breakfast buffet. I was trying to plan accordingly since traveling with two little kids. The beds were cozy and room was very quiet. Everyone working actually seemed on the clock and happy to be working, not just there. Saying hello, cleaning up, friendly explanation of it all. Upon checkout, the lady even offered my kids a treat from the store, came and took our luggage rack from our car. It's little stuff but makes the stay actually feel like a guest and being serviced. The breakfast food was VERY good and had a lot of variety for the breakfast included in your stay. Such a nice perk and a reason to stay at the Hilton Garden Inns. Pool was perfect temperature, clean and pretty with all the color changing lights, windows and indoor/outdoor hot tub.

Clean and modern rooms, very comfortable beds and clean linens. The staff was very friendly and happy to help. We attempted to use the pool which looked clean, but a kids sports team filled the area all day, making it hard for adults to use it. They did have adults only pool hours but an adults only section would be nice. The bar and restaurant area was very nice with a an outdoor patio and fire pit. Free coffee in the lobby in the morning but thats about it for complimentary. For the price we paid, it would be nice to offer a complimentary breakfast option like fruit or yogurt.

Nice view. Comfy. 5. Option to run fan on constant. I like the white noise. 6. There IS a hottub. We didn’t use this but it’s a gem to find a hotel with one that’s working these days. Negs: 1. The parking garage. Tight tight tight. Go left and it dead ends. Had to do a Seventeen point turn around with others behind us to get turned around. Found a spot and could barely open doors. Drive a cuv. Watched a man park a Cadillac Escalade and damn near applauded him upon exiting his vehicle. 2. You can hear everything. (But turned on fan to drown out neighbors.) 3. The furniture is getting worn and tired. See pics. Not a big deal really. 4. It was really dry. Not sure it’s the hotel’s fault - just something to note. It is December in Michigan. 5. Our room was 73 degrees. Turned heat way down and nothing budged. Turned on ac and it took a long time to cool down. I didn’t sleep at all because I was HOT. And dry. Just a bummer.

We stayed here after a holiday party that was at the Courtyard Marriott. I have the Bonvoy app and checking in was a breeze and I love the keyless key - where your phone is the key. The room was on the 4th floor overlooking the parking ramp with a half view of the river. Since we are from GR, this didn't bother me, especially because we were not in the room except to sleep. Room is smaller than a normal hotel room but sufficient and nice, it was updated but still shows remnants of the old decor/ style. The bathroom is small, outdated and the shower is not well planned, you have to step into the shower to turn it on and you get blasted with cold water before you can move - multiple people said this that stayed there. However, the room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. We had no complaints for noise or the heat. Getting to our room was almost like going through a maze. The elevator was on the other side of the hotel from our room and we had to walk quite a ways to get there. Lobby is clean and bright, hotel has a bar / restaurant, parking on premise or next door, and close to everything downtown. I would recommend people to stay here, better price point than some of the more ritzy hotels.

Check in & out a 5-star experience with Jay at the front desk!! Friendly and engaging. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Then the bathroom….. Poor water pressure. Shower door design was poorly thought out - opens into the shower rather than out and is on the end away from the shower head. You have to walk into shower and reach to the far wall to turn on the water, no way to escape being doused by cold water. In room Keurig great ! The packaged 2sugar 1sweetnlow 1tinylittlecreamer powder package was just disappointing after my joy at seeing the Keurig. Of course I ended up going to Starbucks in the lobby to buy coffee We normally stay at Hilton products though I feel their beds are uncomfortable. I missed their free 24-hour coffee in the lobby and at many properties free breakfast

Rooms were a good size. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is in a central location in the downtown area with many restaurants and things to do near. A great added convenience Is that it's connected to the skywalk which goes to many locations including the Van Andel Arena which makes it very safe and convenient you don't even have to go outside to go to many places. We had breakfast at the bistro that was located in the hotel and it was a decent breakfast very good and not too expensive mid-range the coffee was good also. If we come to Grand Rapids again we will definitely stay here again.

I can't speak on the pricing as we were booked here as part of a package, but the staff were excellent, the rooms and all public areas were clean and appeared to be well maintained, and there is a bar/restaurant in the lobby area that's also open for breakfast and coffee. Within walking distance (or a short cab ride) to the art museum, Gerald Ford museum, and several other attractions. One person in our group had to call security twice for a room nearby that was way too loud late in the night - they first gave a warning, then on the second call they kicked some people out of the room (I'm assuming they were not on the room reservation). Had no other issues. Would definitely stay here again.

Property was clean and well taken care of. The little things are obviously important to the owners like clean corners and folded towels in the Pool area. The beds are probably the only downfall but I can overlook the mediocre mattresses for the rest of the positives. A functioning and clean pool/hottub in a Michigan hotel…..UNREAL! We’d stay here again no doubt.

The room was very clean and very quiet....even though I was near the pool and an exterior door. The bed was extremely comfortable. Plenty of parking, free wi-fi, and a very large breakfast available including fresh fruit, yogurt, juices, coffee, eggs, biscuits and gravy..... It was hard to leave. The staff was also extremely friendly.

Property was neat and convenient. Rooms generously sized, clean, and quiet. Front desk staff polite, cheerful, helpful and efficient. Pool and whirlpool clean and open long hours. Breakfast stocked and fresh with just enough variety for all. Great price, even with a booking only one day in advance. Outstanding value for a quite pleasant visit.

The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. We didn’t particularly like the pool view room we ended up with because it was loud until at least 10pm each night. The breakfast the first morning was lack luster. Hardly anything was out and had to ask workers to bring more food out and they acted like it was a chore. Breakfast the next day was much better.

Very clean but needed some small repairs such as the tile in the elevator. We stayed 2 nights in the middle of the week and the breakfast changed slightly so we had some variety. I also appreciated the fact that they had a pancake maker instead of a waffle maker. It did seem to be in the middle of nowhere surrounded by an industrial area so not super walkable but was very quiet.

The staff was friendly and helpful. When my key card didn't work right, they apologized and fixed the problem immediately. The temperature of our room was very cold, but could have just been that we didn't turn the temp up as much as we should have. Beds and pillows were clean and comfortable and plenty of areas to set our belongings. The accessible shower didn't seem to have proper drainage and the water pooled up into the area outside of the shower, so that was kind of annoying. Otherwise everything was pretty good. Didn't even use the coffee, tv, or any of the amenities. Didn't go to breakfast either so can't comment on that.

My overall experience was great. I liked that the hotel was pet friendly. Rooms were clean and in working order. Breakfast was hot and fresh. The dinning area was clean and maintained by staff. The facility was super.

It's like-new with modern features, like a sliding bathroom door and walk-in shower. Lots of counterspace and space to set suitcases. Very cleverly designed kitchenette. A not-too-bright built-in nightlight in the bathroom was a perfect touch (since I had forgotten to pack mine). The breakfast was Way Better than your typical included breakfast. Pet friendly! Friendly staff that made us feel welcome and appreciated.

Very clean, very quiet, and great location. The room was what you would expect from a Hampton Inn in their good days. Comfy beds, clean and quiet rooms. Breakfast lady was very friendly and working hard to make sure breakfast was loaded and good. Hotel is centrally located to all kinds of shops and restaurants. I will be back when in Grandville.

The experience we had is the exact reason we are Hilton Honors members. Everything was great. Clean common areas, quiet clean room. Work out room was top notch. Many different types of equipment, including a Peloton which I enjoyed trying out. Treadmills all worked too. Lots of selection for weights. Friendly service at every turn. Lots of fresh fruit at breakfast, plus the usual. Saw tables getting cleaned regularly. Lots of diamond member parking spots. Even had herbal tea in the room with the coffee. And a hot chocolate bar in the lobby. Due to extended family downsizing we now need a place to stay when we visit GR and happy to come back and stay for our next visit.

Room 102 is listed on the app as accessible. And it is except for the small room where the shower and toilet are located. The step in shower is the type with a glass panel which is stationary on the right and the left side is on a roller. Yet the shower nozzle is on the right which means you have to get in the shower to turn it on and adjust water temp. Also, the handicap grab bar is also on the right so to get out of shower you have no grab bar. Also, the towel hook is on the right so one has to step out of shower to grab the towel. The door to the small room will not stay open and almost touches the toilet when fully opened. If one has a walker or rollator there is not enough room to move around in this small area. I know this is nothing that can be changed now but just be aware if you book this room and need an accessible bath area. Otherwise, this is nice HI.

Not even sure where to begin. From start to finish this hotel was top notch. The cleanliness is incredible. The staff was so welcoming and helpful throughout. The rooms are spacious and spotless. Beds were very comfortable and shower had great pressure. Many times you don’t look forward to a hotel stay. I can assure when I return for a week next month I’ll be staying here without a doubt!

I rated it good because the room was nice and it was very clean. Location is good. However, beware when you are checking in. We were in line to check in and I overheard one of the women behind the desk tell the guest about breakfast, the third floor amenities, etc. She was very friendly. Now its my turn and I get "Stella". No smile, no "how are you", no acknowledgement of me being a Marriott member. Just a glare. She checks us in. I ask about breakfast, she mumbles an answer. I ask about other amenities. I was clearly bothering her. Still no smile and never a thank you. Marriott....Stella needs to be put in a position where she doesn't interact with guests. That said, we had a drink at the outdoor bar later in the evening and Hannah at the bar was awesome. Friendly, attentive and always a smile.

We loved this hotel with a convenient location in Grand Rapids. The staff was very helpful at the desk. The rooms were clean and modern. For JW Marriott product line, this hotel was an excellent value. The hotel was quiet even though located downtown. The restaurant and bar were really nice to hang out. I loved the brunches. A nice little gem in a nice town. Thank you.

The hotel facilities are new and rooms are big and clean. All the staff there are very friendly and helpful. I also like the pool area, spacious and clean. I didn’t get to try the restaurant there but will visit next time.

Very nice hotel overall. The staff were very friendly, the restaurant is amazing, along with the wait staff. The view from room was amazing. I unfortunately didn't get a chance to hit the bar, but it looked like a cool spot. But I must admit, I was unhappy with the cleanliness of my room. There was trash behind the entertainment stand, there were crumbs under the chaise lounge, the side of the bed had stains on it, the baseboard trim was covered in dust along with and there wasn't a single piece of furniture in my room that wasn't damaged in some way. You'd think for the price they charge per night they'd take have higher standards for the appearance of their rooms.

We love it here! We’ve stayed about 3 times so far and feel that the hotel is classy, clean, & comfortable! The valet staff is top notch, the Starbucks is so convenient, the front desk staff is friendly, the hotel is beautiful, the room service is delicious, and we really enjoy the rooms!

We really enjoyed this hotel! I was traveling with my boys (ages 13 & 11) and we only stayed for 1 night, but I would totally stay here again. I use the Hilton Honors app for room keys and everything worked great. Parking was readily available and free. Room was clean with good storage options. Bed was comfortable and I love when hotels give you soft and firm pillow options. Bathroom was big and everything was clean. Pool was warm although a hot tub would have been nice. Front staff were super friendly and we enjoyed the games in the lobby. There's a family fun center with mini golf and go-karts pretty much right across the street which was nice. Only a couple things would have made this 5 stars: a microwave in the room, coffee maker in the room, and some more options (particularly for protein) at breakfast.

First time at Tru Hilton! Would definitely stay again. Rooms were updated, clean, quiet and had everything you’d need for a night stay. The beds were very comfortable! Complimentary breakfast was one of the nicest ones. Plenty of seating and delicious fresh food. Gentleman at front desk could have been friendlier.

We had a great 2-night stay at this hotel! The beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious, bathroom was clean, breakfast was decent, front desk staff was friendly and helpful! The hotel sits in a good area, pretty close to a lot of things, and it is easy to get to. We definitely recommend a stay here and would stay again if back in the area. The only downside to our stay was the hot tub being out of service. But everything else about our stay was great!

The rooms were large and clean. Beds were comfortable. Rooms can be cleaned by house keeping if you wish or you can go easily go to the front desk for more supplies. Pool is a good size and the temperature was ok, we found it got a little cooler each night but we still could swim in it. Hot tub was an ok size but the jets were not working. Breakfast was good with eggs and sausage and a variety of muffins and cereal. Coffee/hot water was available 24/7 which was nice. The faucet in the bathrooms need a longer spout and should be replaced. All staff were very friendly and helpful and overall we would recommend this motel.

We originally booked at the Days Inn near Downtown Grand Rapids. We checked in, and immediately checked out once seeing our room (seemed like a person may have “died” in our room there). Comfort Inn & Suites was able to accommodate our family + another at the last minute. Mark was fantastic at working with us to ensure we had a clean and safe place to stay. THANK YOU MARK!! The rooms are clean, spacious, and staff is amazing.

All around a wonderful stay. Had a room on the 4th floor which was exceptionally quiet. Even the air conditioner was quiet. Room was neat and clean and the cleaning crew was very accommodating making the bed and clean bathroom for the next night on request. Breakfast was good also.

Room was very clean. Bathroom shower was to die for after showering in a nasty shower trailer for a month. Bed was extremely comfortable. Area was quite and had plenty of food and entertainment options near by. TV didn’t work properly but we could if cared less in the moment. We were just happy to be in a clean comfy room. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 6 was very sappy to book the Sheraton last minute. The hotel we were supposed to stay had to shut down their pool which led us to book the Sheraton and were so glad we did! The pool was incredibly nice, the gym was good, the rooms were modern and updated. And the hotel was clean and in a good location. My only suggestion would be for the hotel to invest in a few more luggage carts. We checked out on a quiet Tuesday but had a hard time finding a cart. Other than that I would highly recommend and plan on staying at the Sheraton Grand Rapids next time we’re in town.

What an excellent stay at this Residence Inn in Grand Rapids! Definitely our place to stay whenever we are in town. Close to where we needed to be. We were very satisfied because of the following: - Room was very comfortable and quiet with great HVAC. Everything worked well including great shower. Comfortable linens - Room was very clean. Very picky about this and even I was pleased. - Breakfast was outstanding and delicious! Every day there was just a little something different. The Gentleman handling the breakfast deserves a big award for keeping everything fresh and in order. He was working very hard and it was so appreciated. - Front desk was so helpful. They resurfaced the lot - no issues, no potholes. - The only small gripe - Fitness room was a little small on cardio - only one treadmill and one elliptical. Antoine was super friendly and accommodating at check in. He assigned us rooms close together on the main floor which I didn’t request at the time of booking. The entire hotel was incredibly clean. The lobby/dining area was welcoming, the rooms were well appointed and spacious. Beds were super comfy with spotless, cozy bedding. The hotel offers an above average breakfast included with the room rate, but there’s everything you need to eat in your room as well with a full kitchenette. I could definitely extend my stay there - it was easy to relax and make yourself at home. Thank you - we will be back!

We always stay here when we visit family in Byron Center. Steve, who runs the breakfast buffet is my favorite person. He is so nice, helpful, always has a smile on his face. If you need anything, he is accommodating and he makes sure the buffet is tidy, and refills items right away as needed. The front desk staff is very helpful and also friendly and welcoming. The rooms are nice. Large, full size refrigerator, full size sink, and microwave. Stocked with coffee and tea bags. This is our ‘go to’ home away from home

The suite was clean and comfortable although it, and the hotel overall, are showing some signs of wear. For example, there was a large crack in one of the bathroom tiles, the bottom of the tub looked dingy, even though it was clean. Also, some wallpaper in the hallway was peeling. There was a large "bubble" in the carpet in our living room. Most of the time there was no one at the front desk. When we checked in, we were not given any information about breakfast. I had to ask about it later. The staff were courteous but not friendly. The property is very conveniently located close to restaurants and shopping. I felt safe and comfortable at this property.

I did not like all the pot holes on the property. The back door did not work, our room key did not work in it.We enjoyed our clean suite, large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was amazing. There was almost everything you could think of. The server at breakfast was very friendly and always eager to please and assist where necessary. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.

It’s really hard to believe that this is an Econolodge! The entire place was clean and spotless. We received a free room upgrade from Booking.com to a king suite, and it was pretty impressive with a separate sitting area from the bedroom. The room was super clean and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated the in room coffee. There were waffles for breakfast along with bagels, toast and hard boiled eggs. It’s a good location, quiet but close to restaurants and gas stations.

Every staff we encountered were very welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious with a separate living area, microwave, and refrigerator. Room shows wear and tear and rusting in bathroon but overall room seemed clean. Bed was very comfortable and I loved the water pressure in the shower. Walking distance to several restaurants. Recommend the Sapporo Ramen shop. Would definitely consider staying here again on our next visit.

This is a cute & clean motel. Looks like it was recently renovated (hallway carpet, floors in the room). The staff were very friendly & helpful. The room had two separate bedrooms (with their own TV) with the bathroom in between. There was a sink & mirror inside & outside the bathroom. Very clean & quiet.

COST: Very reasonable for 15 days 169.50. BREAKFAST: Didn't use as our flight left very early SHUTTLE: Very prompt (both ways) and the driver was what my husband and I considered a safe driver. We were given a business card with the number to call upon our return. The directions (oral) as to where to pick it up were made very clear at check-in. ROOM: Nothing fancy, but clean. COMPLAINT: Since it is an older renovated hotel, the sound deadening isn't much. The room above us was active all night and we could hear them pretty well...not much sleep for us. CHECK-IN/OUT: Very easy, fun and courteous. CAR PARKING: They indicated where they would like us to park . Also, they wanted us to back in and leave room away from the curb so their snowblower wouldn't clip the car. They also wanted room between the cars so it would be easier to clear off the snow. Speaking of that, our driver even carried my suitcase, helped to clean the snow off the car, and loaded my suitcase into the car. This is definitely a good choice for a park and fly.

This was a nice hotel. Clean, comfortable and safe. The breakfast was good (the lady stocking the buffet was very nice and welcoming) and you could tell that the hotel concentrated on cleanliness. Would stay here again, for sure. Parking was convenient as well.

Wonderful stay! Front desk staff all week was super friendly. I had a package delivered one morning and they held on to it for me until I could get back to pick it up a little later. Room was clean and comfortable. Was able to get some work done online and stream hulu - wifi was speedy and didn't have any problems. Great shower. Hot breakfast in the mornings was excellent as well, great options!

Stayed here for 8 days with my 2 kids for Junior Gold and we couldn’t of been happier with our decision. The location is surrounded by a ton of places to eat and shop. The employees were always nice and helpful. All the facilities worked(pool, exercise room), the comp express breakfast was on point. Food was delicious and always had plenty to choose from. The cafe lady was amazing! She works so hard and never leaves. Always say hi and converses. I did not sleep well(but I never do in hotels) but my kids slept great each night so I’m assuming the beds were comfortable. The only flaw in the room is that the mini fridge wasn’t that cold. I’d prefer it to be colder. For the deal I got through Junior Gold, it was well worth the stay and would have no issue staying here if I’m out in Grand Rapids again.

What a wonderful hotel! From the friendly, accommodating staff at check in, to the cleanliness and comfort of the room, to the fresh fruit in the lobby for healthy snacks, and don’t forget the amazing breakfast. Literally, the best breakfast I have ever seen at a hotel! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

I was in town for a concert and the hotel location was very convenient to the venue. It was a 2 minute walk. I didn't mind paying a little more for the room because I figured it would balance itself out by the time I paid for event parking. Which is usually anywhere from $40 to $80 depending on the town. On my way to the hotel I see parking lots for $20. I travel a lot and every hotel I have stayed at has parking included. We arrived at the hotel around 6pm, checked in, and I asked the concierge what parking lot or garage we are to use. She informs me that parking is not included. I thought to myself if I would have known that, I would have stayed somewhere else for at least half the cost. The staff were pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel was very nice and clean. My friend and I continued our evening, went to the concert, and hit The Bob afterwards. The next morning I went downstairs for coffee and maybe something to eat. As I entered the continental breakfast area, a staff member told me that breakfast is $20. For that price and what was on the buffet tables, I didn't feel as though it was worth it. So I decided just to get a coffee, which was $3. We checked out around 11am. We leave the parking lot and our total for 17 hours was $55. The hotel was very nice, but being charged for every single thing that is usually free at other hotels, wasn't worth it to me.

Amazing stay from the moment I checked in to cleanliness, breakfast staff were very friendly, attentive and great customer service, bar staff (Rachel and team) delivered amazing customer service even when busy all customers are served very quickly , the DJ’s in the lobby bar added an extra bonus , front of house were very knowledgable about local attractions , great location to everything , will definitely stay here again

I have stayed at some of the larger hotels in Grand Rapids. So I have a unique perspective for my following comments.By chance or luck I was able to find this hidden gem. It is a smaller boutique type hotel. I am not exergerating when I say that it feels like you are coming home to family. The hospitality is both warm and friendly. It starts at the front desk with Shalamar and follows thru with the rest of the personnel. The rooms are clean and perfect. Ask for a corner room. You will definitely like the views. Parking is free when validated at the front desk. After my stay here-------all the other hotels in G.R. are history.

I cannot honestly tell anyone about the breakfast, the one day I went down I had toast and jam. It was pretty good for toast and jam. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I used Booking.com for my reservations, so that made things easier. Checking in was also easy, quick, showed up late (as usual) but it wasn't a problem. The woman working was fantastic! The room was super clean, the amenities were great. There is no bathtub ladies 😭 that was a smidge of a bummer but I was able to live 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ overall it was a pretty descent place. The staff was great, helpful, friendly...not sure what more you could ask for in society these days. The price was great for the area, simple access to the highway or straight shot down 28th street. It is pet friendly, all rooms from what I was told. That will be helpful to a lot, trust me I spent hours searching and calling. We have a Siberian Husky and he's almost moose status so most places won't let us bring him there. He's too big they say 😣🖕 but not here, they greeted him with a smile just as they did us. Just don't be like some and please leash your pet. I know how mine is, I don't yours. But I promise he will definitely leave his mark if need be. Be respectful is all. Common sense. The room is very clean no bugs new floor although it’s not the new fancy rooms and buildings . The hallways and the lobby needs upgrade but very clean and spacious. The breakfast lounge is spacious and clean the foods are great! A lot of choices! The staffs are welcoming and nice!

Welcoming check in to newly renovated hotel, great location in front of Woodland Mall. Close to GRR and on 28th street (but surprisingly quiet). Room was very nice, good AC, great shower and lighted mirror was a bonus in the bathroom. Huge and delicious breakfast portions, Starbucks in the lobby was a nice bonus as well! Delicious cookies and fruit infused water in the lobby was appreciated as well. Great place for a staycation like my daughter and I enjoyed, or a terrific location for visitors and only 10 minutes to GRR.

I’ve done quite a lot of hotel stays here in Grand Rapids over the past 18 months. My stay at Sonesta ranks at the top. The customer service and security of the hotel was comforting. The rooms were very clean and neat. The shower had actual water pressure, something none of the other hotels seem to have which I appreciated more than anything. I would recommend this hotel for anyone and especially for any family looking for a comfortable and friendly stay with a safe and clean environment surrounded with excellent shopping and food choices.

I thought the hotel had a very open and airy feel to it. The room was very nice with very nice bedding and carpet. I thought the nice touches were the lighted mirror (I've never seen that before), the coffee maker with single trays of coffee grounds, the cool ice maker and filtered water in the hallways, two waters. I liked the workout room and would have done the free weights but there were only a few lighter weights to choose from as the rest were very heavy for me. It was a very clean hotel! I did crave some coffee but there were no carafes out and the coffee shop was not open.

Super easy to stay at this Hilton! Stacey at the front desk was so helpful and kind. The room was clean, comfortable, and pretty straight forward; no frills, but everything I needed. The bed was comfortable with multiple pillows to choose from. I left too early for the breakfast (4:30 am), A shuttle to the airport with 1 week free parking- Deal!

I liked the TRU. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was modern and clean. Breakfast was good. Parking was adequate. Restaurants and shopping nearby. Negatives were that the bed frame was heavy and stuck out beyond the bed. It was easy to bump your shin or legs on it. I would recommend the hotel.

We recently stayed at H2S as part of an overnight high school field trip to attend a theater production downtown Grand Rapids. It was a quick, easy trip downtown with plenty of space to park our mini-bus on property. The rooms were huge and spacious - our students felt they had plenty of room to hang out and have storage space for luggage. Breakfast was simple - bagels, cereal, breakfast sandwiches - but everything was well-stocked. The only things that could use improvement would be including a shower curtain liner (currently just a shower curtain) and working on getting hot water in the showers as it had to be turned all the way up to even get warm water. Overall - the hotel was a good choice for our school field trip as staff was friendly and accommodating and the hotel itself was quiet and clean.

I would really recommend this hotel! It was very clean and very friendly service. I was there with my family visiting a very sick granddaughter in Devoss. We didn't have to worry about a thing while at the hotel. Breakfast was very good and always hot and fresh coffee no matter what time of day. The hot tub could have been hotter but that was the least of our worries at the time. Staff was very friendly and gave me cooking options in their grills and hot plate and skillet they let me use . Thank you so much, if ever in Grand Rapids again we will definitely stay at this hotel again 😊

Very clean hotel with a great outdoor space (unfortunately all the seating was taken by a wedding party). Room was huge, clean, well kept and well equipped with a nice kitchenette. Bathroom had one sink. We needed to find a room in the Grand Rapids area to have a scheduled surgery the next morning. I wanted to find something at the best price without compromising #1 cleanliness, #2 quiet and cozy, #3 breakfast for my amazing husband and driver, and #4 location and parking. The price was great! Everything was very clean, rooms, beds, bathrooms and the common areas, lobby and breakfast area. I'm not sure about any pool or fitness areas because I didn't look around. Bummer I couldn't eat before surgery because they had those western and cheese omelettes I like lol I'd definitely stay here again

I always mention the breakfast because Hampton Inns have figured out that a good breakfast starts a good day. The rooms are clean and quiet with a comfortable bed. The electrical outlets work and there are sufficient USB ports for all my little devices.

Room was very clean and well maintained. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was okay, but just average compared to other hotels.

Greeted by very friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable, but facility is generally dated and in need of refresh. Bathroom was not up to Hampton standards. Tub/shower very slow draining. In general, I would say that this property is very well run and the staff is doing the absolute best they can to make your stay pleasant and comfortable.

There isn’t anything that I would change about my stay at the Hampton. My check in was fast and easy, they even let me check in about an hour early. The room was so comfortable. I slept so well in the bed because the mattress was perfect, comforter was warm and cozy, there was even black out curtains on the windows to keep the room completely dark at night. The black out curtains really helped me sleep. There was a mini fridge in my room, a couch, and a desk where I could do my work. I only stayed one night, so I didn’t get to enjoy the pool, but will definitely do so if I return. The rooms and the rest of the hotel were also very clean. Their housekeeping department is doing a great job keeping up with covid-19 safety measures.

Its a great location relative to the airport. local businesses and all the restaurants on 28th st. Amenities are nice... a pool, gym, bar, restaurant, and Starbucks coffee in the morning. The staff is very friendly and professional and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. We stayed here with our kids for a weekend while in town for a wedding, and we all had a very nice experience. Our beds were very comfortable, our rooms were clean, and the interior of the hotel in general was very clean. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, with bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, pancakes, and other typical buffet foods. There was also a Starbucks on site and a room where we could get complimentary bottles of water, soda, tea, snacks, etc. whenever we wanted (I'm not sure if the room is for everyone; we are Titanium level, so could be because of that.) The only thing that we didn't like was the parking lot -- parts of it were not well lit. Regardless, we've decided that this is going to be where we stay from now on, when we are in town for a visit.

It was very clean, staff was friendly, it was up to date and modern and the price was great. Beds were super comfy and it was also nice and quiet!

Loved the laid back atmosphere and the pool . The balcony was an added plus, we enjoyed standing out on it in the morning and evening. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, but the pool needed cleaning and the pool filters didn't seem to be working. The pool itself is amazing. The outside entertainment was nice too!

I was a bit concerned about staying here after reading many of the reviews but I have to say my stay was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and updated. Beds and pillows were comfy. There is a coffee shop in hotel that served Starbucks coffee. I didn’t have a far walk to my room but my colleague did have quite a walk to his room. The only negative was the tub did not drain well. There are lots of shopping and dining options in the area.

Brand new, sound proof, silent building. We never heard other people through the walls or in the hall. Everything: our room, halls, entrance was spotless. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and we slept well. Shower was wonderful: hot and great pressure. Very generous free breakfast included with eggs, sausage, yogurts, juices, breads, bagels, cereal choices and good coffee . There was a nice big indoor swimming pool, but we didn’t use it

Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and had better protein options than some hotel breakfasts out there. The location was perfect for our needs.

The bathroom in the room was clean.and the sheets were very clean and white. There was no smell of smoke. The room was fully equipped, and the refrigerator and microwave worked well. The breakfast coffee was hot,and there were waffles,eggs and sausages ,as well as fruits and sacks. The location is close to the highway,so there is a little noise from vehicles, but the windows are well sealed and do not affect sleep. The price-performanceration is very high.

The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, we love having the kitchenette and full size refrigerator. The shower was great, hot water and good pressure. Wifi was excellent and easy to connect to. Would stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

The staff was excellent, especially David who was able to secure a late check-out for me. The room was squeaky clean, the bed was comfortable, the sheets and pillows were perfect, the shower was hot and had great water pressure, and the kitchen in the king suite was spacious and well-stocked. 10/10 for all of this. The downside was that I woke up to a beeping sound at 6:40am, which cut through the fan I had left on. I turned off the fan, the beeping was still going. Checked the hallway and outside the window, only to realize it was an alarm clock in the room next to me. With walls so thin, they shouldn't book people in adjoining rooms. I was up for hours before I was able to fall back asleep after than. Not super restful. I would still book this property again, but I would make sure to bring ear plugs.

The hotel is a nice one. It was very quiet, despite the roof being replaced. You could tell they are in a remodel. Everything looked nice! Hate the pool was closed, but it was being remodeled also. The only complaint i have was the slight smell in the room, they had a machine trying to pull the smells out. Other than that the kitchenette area was nicely stocked and clean. The room overall was clean.

Chanel was so helpful during check-in. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. It is near many restaurants and stores too.

I needed a place to stay for a quick, overnight work trip. The rate was cheap, it's in the Marriott family, and the location was good, so I booked it. It is off the freeway and near a main street (128th). It was perfect for my needs. I felt safe traveling alone. The hotel was quiet, so I got a good night's rest. It is dated but clean. I had some standing water in the tub as I took a shower, but part of that was on me for not noticing the drain was closed at first. The breakfast was standard cheap hotel breakfast, except the waffle maker was off. I didn't use the pool because it was closed for renovations (I saw a worker in there laying tile). I didn't make it to the gym.

Location was good. Well maintained & clean. Nice staff. The breakfast was the decent, typical with hot and cold items. They had the clumsy bath/shower instead of only a full shower. They should have a couple of hooks near the opening of the shower door for the towels. The chair was very uncomfortable and two decent chairs would have been much more accommodating. Despite being in a medical/business park area, several decent restaurants were within a few minutes drive. Would stay there again.

Very clean, spacious room. This is an older motel that is not plush or modern, but is well maintained. Fresh paint, newer carpet, clean grout in the classic tile bathroom. It was nice to park directly outside my door and I especially appreciated being able to open the windows, which looked out on a grassy area. There was a large, outdoor pool not yet open for the season. The restaurant adjoining the hotel is the star here and can't be beat after along day's drive! They have a surprisingly diverse menu, fresh and well prepared at very reasonable prices.

In the 3 years that I have been visiting family in Grand Rapids, I have made a point of staying in different hotels/motels almost every time, just to get a feel for the place. I think I have found my 1st choice from here on in the Swan Inn. It may appear dated (I prefer to think "retro"), but everything is well-maintained and attractive. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, but the view was the big surprise as the rear of the property is a gorgeous lawn and wooded area. You'd never dream that, as it is located on a main road that has shopping and restaurants of all sorts. The restaurant at the inn is well worth a try, as the food is good, plentiful and reasonably priced, and the staff make you feel right at home. I had such a pleasant stay I almost hated to leave.

We found our room at the Swan Inn to be extremely clean. It may be a bit dated, but everything is well maintained. Air conditioning worked great, room was quiet all night. Breakfast at the attached restaurant was very good. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area. Bed was very firm, but I like that. Even if they could update, I don't see a need to. Everything is clean and works, and their prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!

This is an old school 1950's style motel. However, the rooms are every clean and somewhat updated. Bed was very comfortable and the motel was surprisingly very quiet. The room could have used a few more amenities. There is no fridge or microwave. No hair dryer or bathroom amenities. There is only a drink vending machine on premises, no snacks. The restaurant attached to the motel is very good with delicious home made food and fantastic service. That was a very pleasant surprise. It's about a 15 minute drive into Grand Rapids, not bad if you ask me. I would definitely stay here again.

So I loved this stay I just had. The front desk is AMAZING and very good new GM who is accommodating and very hands on. The rooms were spacious. I would give it 5 stars but my only complaint is the the kitchen staff and housekeeping are very rude and you have to ask them for everything as they do not come and ask if you need anything. I would only suggest that some new people are hired for those positions and some English speaking ones to accommodate all guest. Overall though great location, a lot of food places, mall is around the corner and theater, safe area, and the rooms are clean and fresh sheets with great management and front desk staff were all kind, friendly, and welcoming. I recommend this place.

Visiting family close by and have stayed at this hotel before. Pluses: convenient location, hot showers, clean, kid-friendly pool with walk in steps and max five foot depth and warm temperature. Average breakfast with usual waffle, beverages, cereal, bagels…something for everyone. Lobby and room furniture has seen better days. The elevator and both washers were broken and the hot tub eliminated in the pool area. There is a small crew working hard but some of the extras are obviously gone or reduced. No roll a way but the desk clerk set me up with materials to put together a makeshift bed for our toddler on the floor. The staff was great. Our room photo showed a love seat in the room but that was not what was in our room. Overall kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast and the location was great.

The clerk at the front desk was so kind and helpful. We enjoyed our rooms and they were very clean and smelled fresh and clean.

I never seen illegal activity going on at this place, its pretty quiet. The location is very convenient with food, shopping, and much more are walking distance to just a few miles away. The check-in was fast, the front desk staff is very friendly. My room was clean. They offer a complimentary breakfast- oatmeal, boiled eggs, toast,juice, coffee, fruit and bagels. There's a pool and a grill available for the guests. They have a really area for relaxing outside in the sun or grilling out.

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. But the grass around building was unkept and that was our first impression. We did not use the pool, but it looked very nice.

I enjoyed my stay however the breakfast options needs improvement. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here a couple weeks while waiting for our new place to be move in ready. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The rooms are clean and nice. Weekends are a bit noisy due to it being much busier, however, i didnt really notice too much. The light breakfast in the morning was really a nice way to start the day. The pool area is tidy and there is an exercise room as well. There are some renovations ongoing, but nothing that interupted our stay or really bothered us at all. All in all the staff made our stay pleasant and i would definately stay there again.

Took my mom to the lantern festival atJohn Ball zoo for her 82nd birthday and stayed at that hotel. The surrounding area was definitely unkept, and it reeked of cigarette smoke outside and inside. The room was clean, but my shower was dirty. The front desk lady was overwhelmed with people trying to check in, but very friendly and tried to be accommodating. I reserved two rooms and instead of putting us in an adjoining room, hotels.com listed the second room under someone else’s name and we were unable to get adjoining rooms. So my mom was on the third floor and I was up on the fourth floor.

The full door 🚪 mirror allowed you to see yourself from the back at every angle in the bathroom which is important when combing your hair. The beds were very comfortable with crisp white sheets. There was a full wardrobe closet with the iron and ironing board inside and a safe for valuables I believe.

Staff were super friendly and attentive. Cleanliness was clearly a priority at moment if check in. Thanks for the awesome and friendly stay!

It is a nice, clean, inexpensive, calm and convenient location to stay within walking distance of several gas stations and restaurants. The rooms include a full-size fridge, two burner stove top, a microwave, a desk to work from, free or upgradable wi-fi, and free Dish TV, with the ability to add your streaming services. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. The cost savings of staying there is amazing!

The room is very clean and comfortable. Nice space to cook and prepare meals. It has been a pleasurable experience. There's a full size sink in the kitchenette and a large, queen bed that's great for relaxing while watching shows on the modern television.

Initially the floor in my room was very dirty, but was cleaned right away when I complained. The side doors to the building have been broken for months which makes it inconvenient when your room is on the end of the building. The staff have all been very friendly and helpful. They always address any concerns in a timely and friendly manner. The machine that programs the keys was broken for 6 weeks which meant staff had to let me in my room every time and they were very friendly and helpful every time. I would definitely stay here again because of the outstanding staff.

My stay has been very comfortable. Close to work & a good distance from various grocery stores & restaurants. The staff is friendly & professional, office is closed at night but there is always hotel staff on call when needed. All walks of life live & frequent at this location, but Michelle, Jessie & the rest of the staff are always courteous & give great service.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The tv setup in the loft bedroom was not working as it was not even attached to satellite system (making it hard for me to sleep as I need the white noise to do so); mentioned to management and she said she would try to reach maintenance (unable to as it was the weekend). Also tried to use coffee pot to make hot water for tea and it was not working (reported to management as checking out; on there 2 nights). Other than that, it was a very nice room!!

The property could use some updating. It was clean and comfortable though. Especially for the price. Late arrival check-in was easy. Staff very friendly.

Older property, but very clean and staff is friendly and bends over backwards to help with anything you need! Longer stay property and the people around it are very nice. New owners and they are updating rooms and the property as they go.

Newly renovated rooms. The staff is friendly and it’s such a great place to stay. Very convenient location right off the express way, located between a few different fast food places and gas stations. Pet friendly and they do not charge a pet fee.

The good - I disagree with many of the reviews I read. I thought the staff was amazing. We stayed 2 nights, saw many different workers, all were very friendly and helpful. Condition of some things aside, I believe our room and common areas were as clean as they could be. The bed was clean and comfy, our fridge etc worked. The staff seems to be doing the best they can with what they are dealt. I didn’t see any of what reviews are calling homeless people or anything unsafe. It’s not a secret that doors locked at midnight. There was staff at the desk ready to let us in, non issue. Breakfast was good, the basics, cereal, bagels etc. I liked that they had donut holes and mini muffins The bad - The hotel could definitely use some repairs. It’s not in great shape. There was a hole in our shower ceiling from a prior leak or something, our vanity was held up by like 2x2 sticks and the caulk job prob wasn’t professional. It seemed like they have no budget for repairs and someone is doing what they can. It wouldn’t stop me from staying there again, but just fyi. I waited too long to book for van andel, this was avail and not $600. I paid more than an average night and I’m not upset about it. It’s 6 min away. It did what I needed, a place to sleep, shower, free parking and free breakfast. There’s also a gas station next door, I always need drinks etc. Win IMO If you’re looking for fancy or perfect definitely stay somewhere else.

They had the coziest pillows in fluffiest.There was a very amazing.The staff was very great.My room key wouldn't work for a while so they fixed it for me with no problem.The breakfast was 5 star.The pool was amazing.And they had many things to enjoy wild stain
