Amazing location to DT Halifax, super convenient. The restaurant chop was also delicious and very friendly staff all around. Hotel was super clean, roomy and had amazing views with all amenities.

The location was perfect for our first visit to Halifax- short walk to the waterfront, the Maritimes Museum and the Citadel. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Parking is available at the hotel at an expected rate. Parking attendants were super friendly and helpful. Front desk was welcoming and efficient. Room was spacious and bathroom was exceptionally large. The bed was very comfortable and I wanted to steal the very cozy pillows.

Beautiful and spacious with an amazing view of the harbor. Location was the reason we chose to stay in the hotel. Restaurants, shopping and attractions were only a short walk. The room was luxurious and well furnished. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Stayed at Halifax Tower Hotel for my 31st birthday and had the best experience! The staff surprised me with a birthday cake in our huge, clean, and cozy room. Jessy from housekeeping kept our room spotless and smelling so fresh. Breakfast on the 16th floor was delicious, and Ricardo was so helpful — the view felt like being on top of the CN Tower! Princess at the front desk was friendly and informative, and Nimfa, the GM, made sure everything was perfect. Loved the pool and jacuzzi too. Highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay in Halifax!

We thought to spend 1 night in an impersonal 'conference' hotel ... but what a great suprise!! -We got a very warm welcome at the reception (thank you Maria), -the room was so big, very clean, amazing, -a big parking (great), for free, -coffee, water, tea for free at the reception -there is a great lounge and restaurant, and you get a discount as a hotel guest, -the hotel has a very nice heated pool an hottub, so clean, so big, very nice, open till 11pm -breakfast was very nice: good buffet (thank you Rick), the very friendly owner welcomes everyone personnal. If we go back, we'll stay here for sure again!!

I had a wonderful, stress-free visit. My room was spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional. There was so much choice which allows you to have a different breakfast every day. Thanks Ric and the kitchen team! There's a restaurant on site, Le Rouge, as well as a cocktail lounge. The restaurant food was good and the lounge cocktails were well made and reasonably priced. Then hotel has a spacious gym with enough equipment to get a great workout. I originally selected this hotel because it was central located for activities I wanted to do. You are only about 10 min from downtown Halifax. Hop on a the nearby highways and you can easily get to Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, Annapolis Valley or Pictou in short order. There is also a washer and dryer. It's nice to come home with clean clothes. It is not often as a guest you meet the hotel owner and general manager. They made their presence felt during breakfast hours always asking guests how things were going and areas. A human tough like this is priceless! I highly recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our time immensely. This hotel blends the best of new world and European sensibilities in how it is run. The staff are kind and exceptionally responsive. The rooms are spacious. Everything was clean and beautiful. The morning breakfast buffet is top tier… having offerings that appeal to Americans such as bacon and drip coffee or Brits/Europeans such as baked beans and croissants. It was all quality (real eggs for the nice scramble!… powdered scrambled eggs are gross but everywhere else seems to use them and I was glad they didn’t). The breakfast area is on the top floor, having a panoramic view of Nova Scotia looking West from Halifax… a great way to start the day. The owner of the hotel is a friendly professional lady, and she mingled with the guests during breakfast to make sure we were enjoying the stay and ensured that the buffet was clean and well stocked. The pool and hot tub area was nice as well, with large windows looking south, and you can just glimpse the harbour from the hot tub. Quality free espresso drink machine in the lobby was a cherry on top… a good way to be received at check in after a day of travel.

Went to Halifax for a Christmas shopping trip with my wife and son. We are so glad we chose Holiday Inn Bedford! Staff are extremely friendly, room was super comfortable, spotless, and spacious, and the location is excellent! Complimentary breakfast was delicious! Just a few moments on the highway to get to Bayer’s Lake and a very quick drive to shopping mall/downtown Halifax. Quickly became our favourite place to stay in the area! Will 100% be back again.

The breakfast staff were AMAZING! They were so kind and helpful with my children. The food was hot and fresh and lots of items to choose from. Coffee was hot and strong. Kids had. Blast in the pool and on the slide. Huge improvement from our previous stay a few years ago.

The stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The check-in went without any issues and the staff was very friendly. The room was a great sized room and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom/shower was very accommodating. My stay was very enjoyable.

We stayed there with grandkids . Check in very quick . Our room was very clean . The kids enjoyed the pool and water slide . The breakfast was very good and staff very friendly and helpful . I visited the gym and find the equipment well maintained and better than most hotels..

The pool was fun with the kids slide is open from 7-11 I believe and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. Pancakes, omelets, sausages, fruit, yogurt… lots to pick from. The room its self was clean. The front desk was very helpful and informative,

My family and I stayed at the Best Western Plus for 4 nights. The rooms were quiet, clean and very spacious. My kids had a blast in the pool and water slide/splash pad. The breakfast was amazing every morning with so many choices. The breakfast crew were awesome and friendly! I definitely appreciated the coffee bar in the lobby as well! We tried the restaurant located in the hotel one of the nights. We loved everything we ordered. I highly recommend the seafood chowder!

Best Western Plus hotel in Dartmouth was great and very high quality. The king suite had a very comfortable king bed. Everything was clean. Very nice location. Easy to get to Halifax, close to shopping center. The staff were helpful and super friendly. Breakfast was delicious, with options to please everyone. Coffee maker in the lobby was very good, made a fresh coffee. I and my husband had the most pleasant impressions.

Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Facility is clean and quiet. Lovely seasonal decorations. Close to major shopping. Rooms are spacious. Beds comfortable. Bathroom clean and walk-in shower so appreciated.

Wonderful hot breakfast served in the morning! The restaurant onsite is also really good. We love the lobby coffee machine for a quick pick me up. Clean, quiet and friendly staff.

Had a wonderful stay. Our harbour view room was spacious and exceptionally clean, giving us ample views of the 6 cruise ships docking in port. Front desk and valet were courteous, helpful and professional. Our servers at Happy Hour, dinner and breakfast were attentive to our dining needs. Our only complaint was that the food at the breakfast buffet was luke warm at best.

We have stayed here several times before, We love the location and return here when we visit Halifax. It is so convenient to disembark from the train and be just steps away from a lovely hotel. The Welcome Staff, both at the desk and at the door, plus the housekeeping staff are wonderful as are the staff at the restaurant. Nick is exceptional. He was so pleasant, professional and helpful. Seriously he should be one of your top managers! Also... not too sure of her name... Obranka perhaps (housekeeping) was lovely and helpful. The lady at the front desk who is from Ukraine was very professional and personable. We always love to explore and go for long walks and this is a perfect location for that.

It’s always such a pleasure staying at the Westin. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, modern, and comfortable, with staff who make you feel genuinely welcome the moment you arrive. The location couldn’t be better—perfectly situated so that you can easily get to the heart of the city, explore nearby attractions, or just enjoy a quiet stroll around the area. And if you’re lucky enough to get a room with the harbor view, it takes the entire experience to another level. Waking up to that view is unforgettable, and it’s one of the reasons I keep coming back.

Stayed at the 9th floor for 4 days and 3 nights, got a good view, elevator's not scary, feel safe in them ( have a little thing about elevators, sorry), Very helpful staff, housekeeping is on top of their game; they made sure my room was clean every.single.day. Love the complimentary water bottles everyday after every cleaning too!! Breakfast was scrumptious for me, dinner was fantastic as well! Would definitely come back and next time im planning on bring my Parents so they too, could experience what Westin has to offer.

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and hospitable! The location is on the edge of the downtown area, a short walk or bus ride to the harbour, so the neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet. If I remember correctly, the door is locked to the public after hours so I felt very safe during my late check in when staff let me in. The house is so pretty and charming in a homey grandmotherly way. The furnishings and styling was old but that added to the charm. It felt like I was staying in an old childhood bedroom! The bed wasn’t the most comfortable but it was nice to have an AC, a little kettle, coffee machine, and even mini fridge in the room, with my own bathtub and rain shower. I had a lovely bath after a long day. They even have a shared office area so you can print documents and browse the web if needed. The complimentary breakfast was well stocked with lots of options and the parlour is open all day with tea and coffee which I enjoyed after check out the next day.

Absolutely perfect in the city center, yet still in a quiet location. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. A generous breakfast and comfortable, well-equipped rooms. Everything is very clean and well-maintained.

Old victorian house set into spacious rooms - we asked for a quiet room and were given one at the back and it was very comfortable. Rooms was spacious bed comfortable, AC appreciated, quiet and great blackout blinds as carpark at rear is secured with lights at night. Bathroom fine. TV and Internet, and in room coffee and fridege very handy. WIthin walking distance of everything . Limited onsite parking. Breakfast is continental and more than enough to start the day

My son and I had an amazing stay. We were there only one night, after a long drive and we really enjoyed the central location near the Citadel. Parking was free and easy and we walked to a super nice French restaurant nearby. The room was clean and comfortable, with real mugs for coffee. Since we had to leave super early the next morning, the host brought us muffins, yogourts, eggs and juice so we could have an early breakfast when we wake up. I really recommend this place!

Excellent all around hospitality. Our room was ready for us despite arriving a few hours ahead of checkin time. Breakfast was full and delicious. Coffee/ tea/ hot chocolate were left out throughout the day. Our room was also equipped with a bar fridge, which was a nice bonus. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Lastly, it was an excellent location - very central, but still quiet at night. We will return to the Garden South Park Inn the next time we are in Halifax.

I loved the room. The jacuzzi tub was such a great feature. The bottles of water were a really great touch. Staff was excellent, location was perfect. Had an amazing stay. I'm in Halifax multiple times a year, and I'll definitely be back.

This hotel is well situated a block from the wharf area. Rooms are large and comfortable. On my first check-in, I had room 5006 with a slight view of the water. Know that the safe and mini-fridge are located in the cabinet under the TV. There is a desk, easy chair with ottoman, two queen beds and a closet with hangers that come out (very helpful if you need to do laundry). Linens are bright white. Everything about this hotel looks new. I was especially impressed with housekeeping who asked me several times if I needed anything -- water, coffee, etc. I appreciate them being pro-active. They have a nice restaurant (just opening in June) with access from the 4th floor. I was with a group and the included breakfast was generous. It was plated and different on the two mornings I was there. Each was delicious. On mornings, there is a table in the lobby with a continental breakfast available. I would stay here again - it is a great location, with a friendly and helpful reception staff, and comfortable, well-equipped rooms.

Location: Ideally situated for exploring the area, with convenient access to major attractions, grocery stores, bars, and the waterfront. Breakfast: Outstanding breakfast options served daily at Latitude 44 restaurant, offering a great start to each morning. I will be coming back to this hotel for sure!

Very clean, quiet, and spacious room. Staff is very friendly and always helpful. I loved that there was fresh coffee in the morning with a plant milk option as well as hot water all the time. Fruits and cold water too. Short walk to the waterfront and restaurants (of my choice). Highly recommend!

Stayed here while participating in the Evergreen Festival in Dec 2024. The location was just up the hill from the main festivities. It is a very central location close to many amenities, restaurants, bars and groceries. The hotel is currently doing some major renos in the lobby, so it did take a little from the experience, but this is only temporary. The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet. The staff were friendly but not overly informed about the Evergreen Festival which was surprising as it was a significant event, but certainly did their best to help. Great hotel and great location!

The beds were very comfy. The shower was very powerful. The staff were very helpful and informative, very professionals. Great location in downtown. Swimming pool heated and jacuzzi and sauna extra bonus.

Had an impressive stay at the Prince George Hotel. My executive suite was very spacious, relatively updated, had a great spa-like bathroom and was very clean. The suite views were also impressive, considering that I was only on the 4th floor. The hotel's front desk team were professional and attentive, Paige was particularly friendly and helpful with my stay. The hotel is quint yet charming, has all the conveniences that one would want with a great central location to everything within easy walking distance...with many great restaurants and cafes nearby! Breakfast was also impressive, fresh and had a bountiful selection. Service was also excellent and attentive. The bar and outdoor terrace was also nice, great drinks and snacks (service was friendly yet very slow). Some of the lobby furniture needs updating, elevators were slow, pool and hallways really needs updating, as they were showing their age (room hallways — are badly dated and smelled musty). The hotel also really needs to add a doorman (especially during busy seasons), and key access to the room floors for guests privacy/security! The hotel also backs onto a very busy "party" street, so be sure to know that rooms facing that side of the hotel can get pretty loud with street / pedestrian noises late into the night. Otherwise, I had a terrific, pretty much flawless stay that exceeded my expectations.

The PG Hotel was our base for three nights at the beginning of a tour in Nova Scotia. We also returned for an additional night at the end of our tour. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of the shopping district and the waterfront. (The walk back from the waterfront is very steep uphill!) Our room was very nice - clean, quiet, and comfortable. Two double beds. Bottled water (free) was offered each night. There was no mini-bar but a bottle of wine was available for purchase. The bathroom shower was inside a tub with one grab bar. A rolled up safety mat was available to prevent slipping in the tub. Strangely, there was no shower gel available, just mounted shampoo and conditioner dispensers. I left a note for housekeeping and the next day I received a small squeeze bottle of shower gel. Staff members were professional yet friendly. The restaurant for breakfast was great. There was a nice selection of foods and very attentive service. We really enjoyed our stay!

Amazing staff and great stay at the PG. it is very centrally located and you are walking distance to lots of attractions. Concierge was especially helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet has great options and amazing bacon! Rooms were comfortable and well appointed, thank you for the fridge. So often in operation scale hotels they take it out. Shower was amazing, great pressure and lots of hot water. Items that could use improvement in my opinion Pool area needs updating Hallways (carpets etc) are really sharing their age Our HVAC was loud, however this may have been just our room? If you get crown service the guest room with goodies etc was a bit disappointing. It’s just coffee a few cold drinks, chips peanuts etc. Coming from Fairmont Gold we were a bit shocked by that. The crown service did include the free buffet breakfast for each day but overall we felt the added cost vs value offered was low.

We LOVED our stay at the Prince George Hotel!!!! To help us celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary we were upgraded to a harbour view room on the 6th floor, special treats waiting for us, and daily breakfast! It was beyond generous and we were shocked and grateful for the kindness and hospitality! Not only was the room beautiful, but the bed was extremely comfortable. The room was so QUIET! I have never stayed in a downtown hotel that I didn't hear anything all night! The entire staff at the front desk and the restaurant were so friendly and the location is perfect. Parking was super convenient just around the corner. We can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. Highly recommend staying here when in Halifax! (Also-the Wooden Monkey restaurant just across the street was so delicious!!!!! My favorite dinner of our entire Nova Scotia trip!)

Such a great location on the water with great shops and restaurants. Close to day outings. Exactly what we wanted Very Clean Safe One of our units had a balcony which was super great Also main floor patio Very organized owner. Super people. Great to talk with. Offered great selection in continental breakfast. Beds were comfy Bathtub was great and new. AC worked great Owners work hard to make everyone’s stay comfortable.

Our room was really clean and well equipped (fridge, TV, comfortable bed, WiFi). The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was help-your-self and we found it was good with coffee, fruit, muffins, toast, yogurt. The staff made pancakes on request. The location is nice with the hotel adjacent to a working fishing business. We had a very enjoyable stay at Fisherman's Cove and recommend this hotel.

Absolutely loved this place!!! When we arrived at night, it was so magical with the view of the boats on the water in the misty air. The room itself was very clean & cozy. We really enjoyed the balcony with its amazing views, spaciousness and seaside vibes. We also loved the quaint area close by for little shops, good eats, and amazing oceanside trail. We WILL be back, can't wait!!!

The owners are very nice and friendly.The location was perfect.The room was perfect and so was breakfast.Very updated and clean Inn.Walking distance to stores and restaurants.This inn is right on a little wharf with shopping and food.Also there is a nice beach.

Scenic and relaxing location outside of the city. Hosts were very hospitable and friendly. Our room was very clean and bed comfortable. Loved watching the sunsets from our little deck. Great breakfast included with congenial conversation. Always fun to meet and chat to new people over breakfast.

While its a little far from Halifax, if i return to Nova Scotia I would definitely stay here again at this hotel on the Dartmouth side. The location is great, close to tons of restaurants and shopping including Costco. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast has a good variety of items to choose from, better then most free breakfast hotels. The area is kept very clean and the staff is great! This hotel actually had a fan! I can't believe that's a huge selling feature but i think this is one of the few hotels I've ever stayed at with a fan LOL. Other features, the pool is clean and decent size. The laundry room and machines are very clean. While we were there, parts of the hotel were under construction to include suites that could hold families of more than 4 ppl. This really didn't affect our stay since we were out most of the day. All in all, this was one of the best stays we've had at any hotel. I can't wait to go back!

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at!! Super clean, liquid hand soap in a dispenser in the bathroom sink, and shampoo, conditioner and body wash all in great dispensers in the shower. Huge shower with shelves. Good space on the bathroom counter for all the stuff. AMAZINGLY comfortable bed! Lots of seating for the great hot breakfast and such a clean and well spaced buffet area for the free breakfast. It was just a great night here and I wish we could have stayed for a week!

We came in to a clean welcoming lobby clean very nice room! We always bring our own shampoo and conditioner but there was no need as full-size bottles provided the attendants were amazing helpful and always willing to help!!! Comfy beds all the pillows you could want! Everything is located so close but far enough that its not crazy busy outside was an amazing couple days for us and our family!!! We'll definitely be back

We really loved everything about this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the kids loved the pool. The various food options available for breakfast (both hot and cold) were great. The hotel is very close to Halifax. It is a very quiet neighborhood away from the business of Halifax with a lot of shopping options very close to the hotel if needed. Hotel staff are friendly. The coffee was amazing!

My wife and spent two night here in September, 2024.  A kickoff to a 7-day vacation throughout the northeastern United States and Canada. Hotel was in a great location, right on the harbor front and part of the Halifax riverfront that included several shops and restaurants. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, overall very quiet and we had a great view of the harbor. Hotel offered several amenities that included a small breakfast shop/cafe and we were able to meet our tour right outside the front door.  We took advantage of their bar and restaurant which were very good. On the flip side. Service at the restaurant was a bit slow as they seem to be understaffed each time we went. The attendant at the coffee bar was incredibly rude regarding my card not going through. Come to find out it was his machine as several customers were having issues before and after me. He also copped an attitude for having to take American dollars. Overall, great place, great stay and we would certainly book there again.

We just returned from 4 nights celebrating our 60th anniversary at this hotel. We were not offered an upgrade which was not an issue but would have added to our experience. The location is perfect, right on the boardwalk for morning walks, with numerous restaurants nearby. And close to museums and other attractions. Also convenient to the casino, with an enclosed walkway leading to it. We were in room 503, and were a little disappointed that it did not have a full harbour view as I had requested, it faced office buildings, with what I would consider a partial harbour view. Other than that, the room was adequate for our needs, and quiet, except for the day we checked out, and were awakened with hammering from construction next door, it would have been an issue if we had not been checking out. What stands out with this hotel is the staff, all of whom were friendly and could not have been more helpful, from the restaurant staff to the front desk, and maids. We ate mostly in the hotel restaurant, and everything we ordered was delicious. All in all, we had a pleasant stay and plan to return.

This Marriott was centrally located o the harbor. This modern, clean hotel was complemented by a courteous, professional and helpful staff. The room was ideally located facing the waterfront, neat, clean and comfortable. The M level was well provisioned for breakfast or a quick snack. The hotel restaurant is nicely located central to hotel activities. Located adjacent to the boardwalk and many historical sites as well as great restaurants. Definitely recommend.

The General Manager of this property has a lot to be proud of. The staff is excellent: friendly, efficient and welcoming. The location is outstanding, overlooking Halifax Harbor. The property is well maintained, extremely clean. Rooms are comfortable with excellent bedding, good lighting and enough electrical outlets. Fridges in every room is a great plus. Check-in was flawless with the property well explained. The hotel restaurants were so good, it was hard to want to eat elsewhere. Harbourstone's menu is varied with outstanding seafood, fresh produce and Ingrid is a great server, as are many others on the staff. Stone's Throw Patio has excellent views of the harbor and a nice selection of food and drinks. The lounge staff is also extemporary with a special shoutout to Jen who made the mornings great. Housekeeping was omnipresent all day and kept everything clean. As I mentioned at the start, it starts from the top down and this GM has everyone's respect and rightly so. He has an extremely dedicated staff due to his leadership. We will definitely return.

Very nice hotel in the heart of the waterfront district. There are lots of shops, restaurants, historic sites and bars within walking distance. The hotel is comfortable, clean and convenient. Rooms are spacious and beds are spotless. Staff was welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. There is a parking garage or valet. Very good place to stay while visiting Halifax. Highly recommend.

Excellent Stay – Highly Recommended! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and everything exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect – close to everything but still quiet and peaceful. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm and inviting. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and the personalized service throughout my stay. Whether it was the front desk, housekeeping, or restaurant staff, everyone went above and beyond to make me feel at home. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quality, comfort, and excellent service.

An excellent stay, very quiet room that was in good condition / well-maintained. Clean modern bathroom, breakfast in the restaurant was very good: option was buffet or ordering an entrée, the Denver omelet was nicely prepared. Order off the menu. suburban location with free parking. Front desk clerk and restaurant staff were all friendly and engaged.

Had a 2 night stay at this gem of a hotel. Fairly new, clean, and comfortable. Staff was super friendly. Many amenities. Free parking. Their restaurant Pitch and Pivot was amazing. Fresh, tasty dishes. Desserts were amazing. Being a Marriott Titanium member allowed me access to their 24/7 pantry room which was a bonus! Definitely a great Marriott!

My only complaint about this hotel is the frosted glass bathroom door in the room. The light shines out in if someone has to use the bathroom in the night and it’s limited privacy because although it’s frosted you can still see through a bit. Restaurant staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful as well as all other staff we interacted with. The selection on the buffet was a nice change and included options like smoked salmon and capers with bagels and cream cheese, fresh fruit cups, smoothies, baked goods and much more. The coffee was a really good as well. The kids enjoyed the pool and water slide and there is an indoor splash pad area for smaller kids. While the business park the hotel is located in isn’t exactly picturesque, the location is very conveniently close to all the shops in Dartmouth Crossing and the area is quiet.

Delta Hotels Marriott in Dartmouth was a great place to stop over on our road trip around NS. It's outside of downtown Halifax but less expensive and easier to park at. Getting into and out of downtown was no problem. The lobby, restaurant w/ Starbucks, and room were all very modern and new. The beds, furniture, and bathroom were also very modern and tasteful. Everything was super clean. There was lots of space for everything and lots of outlets for electronics. The breakfast buffet was great with very nice servers. There was no bacon or sausage, but they had smoked salmon along with some deli meats. The only real issues were that the wireless was a little temperamental and that the walls/floors seemed a little thin. It was also a little annoying that the room came with only one (caffeinated) coffee pod. Overall a great stay.

I loved how close this hotel was to all of the ammedies. Super convenient to have a Starbucks next to it, as well as Costco and many restaurants. The staff were friendly, rooms were comfortable and clean, and such a fantastic value. Bonus FREE PARKING as well!

Lovely 4 night stay! Quiet, clean with friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room with lots of storage . Free parking on site-bonus- and easily walkable to the waterfront. Breakfast was available with your choice of 5 items for $15 . Easily fed 2. Happy hour in the library was fun-VERY reasonably priced wine and spirits and a great chance to meet fellow travellers . If I had to improve on one thing I would have loved a king bed but the beds are extremely comfortable. The Halliburton is a great alternative to noisy elevators , doors banging, and kids running up and down the halls. A wonderful trip back in time with all the modern conveniences. So glad we chose it!

We enjoyed our three night stay at the Halliburton. The location is convenient as close-ish to restaurants while still being on a relatively quiet street. The staff was helpful and friendly and the room, while on the smaller side, was clean and appeared recently updated. We couldnt figure out how to work the heatingcooling system but it wasnt enough of an issue to ask for assistance. We were in the main building overlooking the front and had no issues with street noise. The free parking out behind the hotel was a bonus! I would stay here again.

We loved our stay. Short walk to many restaurant options. Lovely room, pristine!Sat in the library and enjoyed pre dinner glass of wine/beer , very reasonably priced and simple but delicious breakfast, generous enough to share, tea/coffee complimentary for 15$. Parking worked well. Gorgeous historic inn. Desk staff was knowledgeable and lovely. Bathroom looked recently updated and the shower water pressure was fantastic!We will stay again next trip to Halifax!

After parking behind the hotel I went to the lobby and was able to check in early … staff were great and even helped me take my luggage upstairs to my room. Room was excellent … large, clean, comfy and quiet. Area around the hotel was very walkable … staff gave me recommendations for bars and restaurants to visit.

We spent 2 nights at the Lord Nelson. It is conveniently located in a lively neighborhood across the street from the beautiful Public Gardens. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The lobby and restaurant are very comfortable and pleasant. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the terrace. The staff was wonderful. Helpful and professional. Particular Kudos to the concierge, Kerri, who helped us locate a missing piece of luggage, rearranged a tour for us, and recommended several attractions/restuarants, both in Halifax and farther afield. Also, the Hotel Valets, Chris and Abul (hope I have their names correct, were great, friendly, and helpful. Our room was average but clean, quiet, and acceptable. We would recommend.

We loved that we were greeted by the concierge that gave us the parking information and he took our luggage up to our room. He was very friendly, talking with us all the way up to our room. The room attendant was extremely friendly and she did an amazing cleaning/re staking of our room. Atmosphere of the hotel was very comfortable. Our room was very clean. Location was great. Tons of restaurants within walking distance. The restaurant was amazing too.

I absolutely love this hotel. The location at the top of the hill, and the Public Gardens across the street are magnificent. Close to shopping as well! The staff are very caring and efficient. The maid service was wonderful. The rooms were clean, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom shower head was fabulous. My room had a window that opened, which allowed me to turn off the air-conditioning and be comfortable with fresh air. My room had a long sideboard to put my stuff on, and a fridge that was stocked with fresh cream for my morning coffee. The only issue I had were the fat pillows. As a side sleeper, they were far too bulky for me to use comfortably. But the staff promptly found me a thinner pillow by my second day there. Concierge service was great. I had assistance booking a couple of bus tours. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. I highly recommend it! It made my stay in Halifax very, very special! ❤️

I really had an excellent stay here. I had one of the smaller rooms (had a larger one a few days later) but it was wonderful. Nicely renovated, very attractive. The amenities were outstanding - generously sized quality toiletries, real cups/glasses etc, real cream AND milk in the fridge, a kettle (yay!), large towels, a nice bath. It all made for a very generous welcoming feeling. It's right across from the public gardens. Not all rooms have views, but the gardens are right outside. Lovely public areas and lobby, excellent breakfast. There's a nice restauran/bar and room service. Close to shopping, including the lovely Pete's Frootique grocery store, and a short walk from the waterfront. A few days later I stayed again and was upgraded to a park view suite with a kitchen - very lovely.

A very clean,quiet room. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Loved the 24 hour coffee bar. Breakfast was delicious. Christmas decor was very tasteful. There places to eat close by that they delivered right to your door.

I had such an awesome stay at Chateau Bedford Trademark Collection by Wyndham! The place was spotlessly clean, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. For the price, it’s honestly hard to beat. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels, but this one really impressed me with its value for money. Sure, it’s an older hotel, but it’s so well taken care of that it feels charming rather than outdated. You can tell they put a lot of effort into maintaining it, and it shows. Oh, and the breakfasts are amazing! Good variety, fresh, and really tasty. If you’re looking for a comfortable, welcoming spot in the area that doesn’t break the bank, I’d definitely recommend it.

During my recent two-night stay at Chateau Bedford Trademark Hotel, I found it to be a comfortable and welcoming place. The spacious rooms were a highlight, and the staff was genuinely friendly and attentive. However, I believe there’s room for improvement, particularly with the breakfast quality. While the overall experience was enjoyable. Overall, it’s a solid choice for travelers looking for a convenient and pleasant hotel experience!

Really loved how spacious the suite was! Lots of room to sleep plus hosting! Breakfast was really tasty and alot of different options. The location was perfect, the pool is very large and the water slide was amazing and kept kids busy for hours. Give this hotel a 9/10 overall. The ONLY thing i would recommend is cleaning the pool/hottub a bit more we found quite a few bandaids in the pool and the hot tub looked/felt a bit dirty on the bottem. But overall a great place to go!

We just can't say enough about this place! The staff are amazing, welcoming and can't do enough for you. Our son has special needs and they will do anything to accommodate families t0o make sure their stay is enjoyable. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The pool is wonderful and is good temperature. They do a great job keeping it clean. The hot tub is very nice and the slide is so much fun for everyone! The breakfast buffet that's provided is always hot and delicious. I love the variety that we get to choose from. The location is perfect for being so close to shopping and so many different restaurants .Best hotel around!

This is a great place to stay in Dartmouth Crossing! Close to restaurants and shopping. Rooms are big and comfortable in all the important ways- good beds, pillows and quiet, efficient temperature control. Nice product in the shower. An included breakfast with good coffee and nice breakfast area. The pool area looked really nice, I think my grandkids would love it! A special thanks to the front desk staff who are so friendly.

This hotel quickly became my new favorite hotel in HRM after having kids. No complaints about the room, comfortable beds. But as a mom we book our hotels based on pools and convenience. The pool was large, with a second warmer kiddy pool in the back, separated slide that eliminates a lot of worry for moms of small kids for not swimming infront of the slide or ending the slide in a pool of deep water. The slide is also open which is nice for smaller kids. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast, I’ve had worse. Location is also fantastic, everything you need is walking distance for those who aren’t city drivers. After my kids were asleep i was able to head out for a bit of shopping (dad stayed with kids). I didn’t feel tied down! I got my morning Starbucks within 2 minutes of the online order. Delicious restaurant outside your door. Playground just outside the hotel, playdium. Great weekend was had!

We were downtown for a girls night and decided to give Moxys a try. It was a different vibe than most hotels and was definitely a younger scene but a lot of fun. The service was fantastic by everyone there. The beds were comfortable. The layout of the room was a little unconventional but worked really well. The room seating was less than comfortable but fine and maybe that is in an effort to get people to go downstairs to the bar? The bar/lobby was a lot of fun. There are tons of places to gather and it has a really neat vibe. The breakfast sandwiches at the restaurant were really good. The parking lot was really tight so if you have a larger vehicle, you may have some struggles. All in all it was a positive experience.

Let me start off by saying that Moxy is not your typical hotel. A little research into the name would tell you that. This boutique style hotel was excellent. From check in, to check out, encountered friendly and helpful staff. I spent 4 nights here and would stay again in a heart beat. The beds were super comfortable. I had a great sleep each night. Rooms are small but that’s why it is a boutique style. Love the decor. Checkin was easy and done right at the bar where I was given a complimentary cocktail. Lots of fun activities going on throughout the weekend. Charicatures, DJ, Foosball table, PacMan arcade game all in the lobby. Secure underground parking well worth the fee. Food in the restaurant was great. Lots to choose from. Sunday night was “GameNight’” so got to spin the wheel for one of many prizes. Stay here and you are sure to have a good time!

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times since it’s opening and we are always so happy. This hotel concept is original for sure and it works for us. We love the cozy and fun lobby/bar vibe, the music, the games, etc. The staff always go above and beyond, they are ALL so friendly, professional and hard working. We also appreciate the underground parking, the nice gym, the free signature drink, happy hour ( food and drinks) and it’s always so clean everywhere! The rooms are really unique and fun. Although they are on the smaller size from your usual hotel room, we love all of it (including no carpet). This hotel is close to everything downtown, for walking or a really quick Uber drive away!

Overall, I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was super convenient. I especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the quality of the breakfast. The only downside was some trouble with the hot water—it took a while to get warm and wasn’t always consistent. That said, everything else made up for it, and I would still recommend this hotel and consider staying again.

You're greeted by the friendliest staff. Upon checking in, you receive a drink chip which is good for basic alcoholic drinks, or non-alcoholic drinks, coffees, lattes, hot chocolate or cold drinks. It's a really nice perk! The rooms I found to be very comfortable, love how the beds are head to head against 1 wall with a large headboard separating them. We had 2 queen beds. Lots of places to charge your devices. There's a convenient pull out bedside table at the head of each bed to place personal items when going to sleep. The bathroom is roomy with an amazing shower! They have a DJ, and live music in the lobby at various times. The lobby is entertainment itself, from the large sized Jenga and Connect 4 as well as other games, comfortable seating, and a lively bar. The food looks good but didn't get a chance to try it ourselves. Next time! Lots of cool places for photo ops as well. I'll definitely be returning!

Friendly staff, especially in the restaurant for breakfast & dinner. The food was great- breakfast had lots of selection, and was always stocked and fresh. Usually had eggs and some type of meat (bacon, sausage, ham) as well as fruit, yogurt, pancakes, bagels and bread, and little pastries and muffins. Coffee was also good. I recommend the BBQ bacon jam burger for dinner. There is also a nice lobby bar with great and affordable drinks. Rooms were clean, modern, and spacious. Good location close to downtown Halifax and about 30 mins from airport.

Staff are very friendly and welcoming! The rooms are spacious and comfortable with great views of the lake. The free buffet breakfast was delicious with many options for everyone. We went back to the restaurant at supper and had a delicious meal, I’d highly recommend their nachos. We loved that it is pet friendly. My only concern would be that parking is confusing at first as well as finding our rooms but we had lovely staff help us.

So convenient as our family was there for a wedding. What a beautiful location for the dinner and dance! Meal was delicious and staff efficient and accommodating and had good sense of humour too.

I had a very pleasant stay at Best Western Chocolate Lake. I could swear that I reserved a lakefront room but we were not given one when I initially checked in. The kind desk person got me a lakefront room even though the reservation didn't technically say so. They went out of their way to be accommodating and I appreciated it. The lake is beautiful and worth the stay on that side. Beds were comfy with lots of pillows. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are provided in the shower in pump bottles. Breakfast is included for hotel guests and offered a variety of hot and cold food options. The breakfast seating area is large, and there is an outdoor deck with tables if the weather cooperates. Everything was clean and the coffee was good. The pool area was clean and I had it to myself for most of the time I used it. There was an arcade on the same floor which I wanted to use (air hockey!) but I ran out of time. There is free parking and it was a short drive into Halifax. It’s close enough to the city but far enough out to be quiet and relaxing. I would definitely return.

Pretty standard rooms - they were very clean, as was the hotel itself. Room had a fridge and microwave. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast included - sign states it gets busy in the later morning. We went around 7:30, it's not too crowded and staff were attentive and kept everything available. Small bar area. I didn't eat in the restaurant - but food is served in the latter part of the day. There is a deck area with seating accessible through the bar/restaurant offering a beautiful view of Chocolate Lake. Half of the hotel rooms are lake facing. I'd recommend requesting. Walk to the harbor area is takes about an hour. Ubers were readily availalbe and cost around $14 to the closer harbor area. Didn't use - but there's also a gym which looked decent for a hotel of that size, a pool and a games room. Only negative comment is that one elevator wasn't working so the wait for the one working could take some time. It was a minor inconvenience. No hesitation in recommending.

Overall, we had a really great stay and so we would definitely recommend. I would not hesitate in booking again. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, beds were so comfortable (major plus), rooms were clean, spacious and well laid out. One of our suites was slightly dated compared to the other, but honestly, that was not a problem. Half our party got the slightly noisier end of the corridor and a room with quite thin walls while the other room was lovely and quiet. While staff are very attentive to guest needs and requests (thank you) it would be nice to not have to keep asking for basics such as cutlery, mugs and a kettle. These probably could be provided as standard as the suite includes a kitchenette (that was our only bug-bear). Breakfast was fine although some items are chargeable (sausages) and I would advise going across the road to Steve-o-Renos if you’re after for a great cup of coffee. There are facilities for doing own laundry (cheaply), a tuck shop and free bureau facility for printing boarding passes etc which was much appreciated. Location is great, within walking distance of harbour front, restaurants, shopping and Scotiabank Centre. We really enjoyed our stay here, so as first time visitors to Halifax you have a big thumbs up from us. Thank you Cambridge Suites staff, for your very kind hospitality.

Though not the newest hotel, Cambridge Suites has tremendous winning attributes. First is the warm and welcoming staff that upgraded us to a King Suite and served us a filling breakfast. Next is walkability; we parked our car in a secure underground lot and easily walked to lunch at Bicycle Thief, a waterfront tour, the Citadel, and a fun ghost tour. Third, our large suite was very clean, comfortable, and well-laid out with separation of the bedroom from the kitchenette, bathroom, and seating area. This set up allowed a couple with different waking/sleeping times to get uninterrupted sleep. We also had a beautiful view of the waterfront from our living room windows. Finally, we found the value for the price we paid to be exceptional.

This large hotel is well located in Halifax, close to the Citadel (you can watch the guards coming back to town every evening) and a 10 minute walk down the hill to the popular waterfront. There appears to be good parking available. The rooms are spacious and there is good cupboard space although the furniture is a little tired. The beds are comfortable and pillow choice is very good. There is no safe but WiFi is good. The showers are fine. The windows offer very good sound proofing to outside traffic noise. However the same can't be said for the room door. The long corridors are like echo chambers and you hear all the comings and goings from room to room throughout the night. Breakfast is pretty basic in choice but in the evenings, the bar/restaurant offers a good menu and has extremely friendly, hard working staff. A good place to stay in this friendly city.

Location was fantastic as central and not far from the airport bus stop. Suite was a generous size with everything you would need. Very clean. Comfy bed. Toiletries provided included a body lotion which was appreciated. Breakfast was good, with various hot and cold options, the staff were hard working making sure nothing ran out. Reception staff welcoming and helpful. Liked touches such as being able to have a free coffee at coffee station beside reception and also a book exchange. No problems leaving luggage in storage for a later flight.

We had a great experience at Cambridge Suites Halifax. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Received a complimentary room upgrade when we checked which was a lovely surprise. The room was excellent, very comfortable bed and lots of space. We had a jacuzzi in our room which was fantastic. Breakfast was good with a reasonable choice. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

I don’t normally post reviews but I feel like this hotel needs a shoutout. We stayed at 7 hotels for this east coast road trip and my family and I think that this is the best hotel we stayed at out of the 7. The place is nice and clean. The rooms are spacious and renovated (no carpet here). The pool and sauna are spacious too and we liked that they were open until 11pm. Can’t praise the staff enough. Charmaine, the breakfast attendant, always had a smile on her face, very pleasant, and went above and beyond as to even suggesting POIs. And speaking of breakfast, this is the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. Period. The menu varied each day and there’s even vegetables in the morning! We also liked that there’s access to coffee, juice and water 247. Also, we really appreciated that there’s a microwave in the room (none of the other hotels we stayed at had one). The concierge staff were really nice too. Jess during checkout time took the time to explain to us the choice program and answered questions with a smile. Will definitely be back to this hotel when we come back to Halifax.

The breakfast was exceptional. We were pleasantly surprised by that. The location was perfect with restaurants and stores close by as well as the drive to the airport was not too long and convenient. Rooms were contemporary, large, with comfortable beds and the place was very clean. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was exceptional, the staff at the Bistro were wonderful and very accommodating. We certainly highly recommend this Courtyard.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. It is amazing, the rooms are very spacious they have amazing views of the Halifax citadel the rooms are very quiet and you get underground parking with the room. There are a lot of things to choose from in the breakfast and the dining room is HUGE. If I remember correctly there is a pool but I didn't go to it. Even thought I did not go to the pool I bet it was amazing considering how everything els is amazing. The hotel isn't too luxurious but it still feels like your in a luxury hotel.

The room was very clean and fresh and well-stocked. The small kitchen was an excellent offering for evenings when we wanted to stay in for dinner. The included breakfast was tasty and kept fresh by the staff. Karen kept the dining room spotless and tidy even when it was extremely busy. She was friendly and helpful, representing what Atlantic Canadians are known for-hospitality and industriousness. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for three nights while in Halifax. There were five of us so we had a two bedroom suite. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, and one had a king size bed, the other two queens: perfect for us. There was also a kitchen (no oven though) and a small living room. It was not inexpensive, but comparable to an AirBnB (at least in our searching) that was downtown and included parking. We had no issues with parking but there seems to be cars parked everywhere later at night, so I wonder if there are enough spots. The hotel is very clean and nice. Our room was huge, clean and very bright with both bedrooms have many windows: both were on the corner of the building. We found it to be very quiet and everything (wifi, tv, hot water) worked well. Location is great as well, downtown and maybe a 10 minute walk to the boardwalk. One area of concern. As the previous reviewer mentioned, we also saw a mouse running around the breakfast area one morning: turned us off having the complementary breakfast! Upon telling the young lady at the front desk about the mouse, her response was "did you actually see it". Not sure how to take that: we wouldn't have said anything if we didn't see it. Anyway, hopefully they have that issue under control. If so, this is a great place to stay in Halifax.

As always a very comfortable stay. The best part is the amazing breakfast. The offerings are delicious and the tacos are a huge hit. I must say seeing Karen every morning is a bright start to our day. She is absolutely wonderful at her job and is always smiling and chatting with everyone. She takes such great care of us at breakfast and always has the area fully stocked and clean. Even when we see her outside of the breakfast ours, she is always so chipper and eager to chat. She is an absolute asset to the team and I always look forward to her smile when we cross paths- she really does start my day off on the right foot. Thanks to the whole team for another wonderful stay and an extra big shout out to Karen for everything she does for us, it is appreciated and never goes un noticed or un appreciated

The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. All areas of the property were clean and well maintained. Loved the two bedroomed suite on the top floor which had everything you could want for a nine day stay. The beds and pillows were of a high quality and the shower was great. A good variety and quantity of breakfast available. We would definitely stay here again.

They complimentry upgraded us to the honeymoon suite, since it was our honeymoon. It had a jacuzzi tub. So wonderful. Very romantic.

My hubby and I live in the valley and we had an early start in Halifax, so we decided to stay at the Coastal Inn Halifax the night before. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted by Amee at the front desk. Amee was energetic and kind - and she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home! We stayed in the honeymoon suite, which was spacious and clean, and we especially liked the jacuzzi tub! The bed was super comfy and the room was suitably stocked with coffee, soaps, shampoo, etc. Overall, a great stay… and as the title says, a shout out to Amee - she is a true asset to the this hotel!

It was a convenient location, staff was very attentive and friendly. Room was clean but somewhat outdated. Hard to figure out how to turn on tv settings or use coffee machine but staff was amazing when called. Breakfast was underwhelming to say the least. For a continental breakfast there weren't many baked goods options and even the apples seemed bruised and unfresh. Was going to use the pool but it smelled funny inside and there were a bunch of dirty soggy toys on the ground and something that looked like a dirty diaper, although i think this was from a guest and not the hotel staff/facility.
