My partner and I had a great stay at the Kalango. The place was better than we expected. Spacious, comfortable and spotless clean rooms. Really comfy bed, the AC worked, the shower was nice and powerful and we had lovely balcony. The place itself was spacious and stylish. The Breakfast was superb! Fantastic choice of fresh food, fruits, juices, savoury pastries and at least 6 different types of homemade cakes everyday. We also loved the fact that there were vegetarian options, fresh guacamole, detox juices and coconut water available. It was really charming that they leave a plate of fresh fruit to attract these stunning wild birds that can be appreciated while you have your breakfast. The pool is also stylish and the jacuzzi very nice. The poolside bar is also good and we had pizza by the pool one evening and it was surprisingly very good too. The staff were great too, friendly, helpful and professional. Our special thanks to Raquel, Gui and Dani. Oh and it’s a great value for money compared with other places at similar rates (where our friends stayed - they all said they wished they’d stayed at the Kalango).

The entire place felt like a dream, surrounded by natuere. It is clean, the staff is amazing and alwaya ready to help with everything we needed. The pool is big, kept at a nice temperature and the bar by the pool has delicious snacks, finger foods and cocktails. Breakfast is also very good with a good variety of foods, fruits, breads and cakes ans gives us view to the pool and the woods, so it's also an amazing morning start. The room we stayed at had a jacuzzi, big bed and a great view to the pool and woods, we had room service when we asked for food and everything was perfect for out first couple travel. It is around 15-20min walk to the closest beach or a 5min ride. They provide us towels both for the poop and beach, they have a small shop with amenities and beachwear.

Decided to getaway for 2 days. This hotel is nestled about 1km from the main road on the island. Very nice rooms with a wonderful ambiance. From the patio you overlook the pool. Some rooms have jacuzzis on the patio. Breakfast is filled with breads, pastries and fresh fruits. There is a bar open until 9 and the staff are very friendly. The power went out due to rain but that was fine. Relaxing location for peace and quiet.

Some may think it a little far from the historic center but the Kalango Hotel makes you almost wish you didnt have to leave anyway. Absolutely beautiful design and the most amazing staff from the front desk to the gardeners and housekeepers. Breakfast was plentiful and the downstairs bar a delight in the evenings or probably any time when the weather permits. Comfy beds and rather large rooms when compared to those we have stayed in in the historic center. Best shower ever! I cannot thank the staff enough for making us feel welcome from beginning to end. I have always loved the historic center of Ilhabela but now I cant see myself staying anywhere else. Thank you Kalango!

Had a great stay at this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful The hotel is a little bit far from the centre (around 20min walking) and you will need a car to go the beaches, so don't stay at it if you don't want to drive The breakfast and the bar was pretty good (especially the caipirinhas at the bar)

Very cute place! We got a very charming room! Breakfast was wonderful and The girls from the kitchen were so sweet and friendly, best fresh fruits we had during our entire vacation! Girls from the front desk were really helpful as well!

Foi uma experiência maravilhosa, excelente atendimento das moças da recepção! Só não gostei da porta do banheiro que é de vidro e tem insulfilme mas não esconde nada, se for viagem com amigos assim como fiz, isso pode deixar desconfortável. Café da manhã delicioso. Eu volto com certeza.

As acomodações são ótimas, o fato de vc poder usar as áreas comuns, visitas as outras pousadas da rede independente de qual vc fez a reserva e fantástico. Ajuda e facilita muito o conforto a praticidade...com certeza recomendo.

Pousada simples, com cara de praia. Uma piscina grande, ensolarada o dia todo. Quartos gostosos ( precisam de um pouquinho de manutenção. As portas do armário não paravam fechadas). Café da manhã simples mas muito bom!

Excelente local, muito bonito e com uma vista incrível. Piscina com borda infinita e apartamento muito bonitos. Confortável e muito limpo. Excelente atendimento, os donos são extremamente prestativos. Adoramos e recomendamos!

The room was clean, modern, and nicely arranged. The sunset view from the pool area was excellent. The space is quiet, a good distance from bar and restaurant noise. The staff provided great recommendations for things to do on the island - would stay again!

The host was amazing, extremely kind and helpful. He made lots of effort to make us feel like we were staying at a 5* hotel. The rooms themselves were very cozy and came fully equipped, and beds were very comfortable. Waking up to a view of the sea behind the pool was a big plus too!

Amazing view from all rooms. Staff is very friendly. Room is spacious and pleasent, well decorated and confortable. Parking space inside. Microwave helps, and food snacks were convenient.

very lovely set of rooms in a great area of ilhabela. restaurants and shops walking distance away on both sides, beaches also and the host is incredibly helpful with recommendations and taxis, and really anything. there was some construction when we stayed (April 2023) but I imagine this is short lived and due to the inconvenience the host upgraded us to an absolutely beautiful room with a great view free of charge so no complaints there!

Absolute paradise! The views are incredible, and the rooms are to a very high standard. The location is great, a 3 minute walk to the nearest beach and beach bar. The rooms were cleaned every day which was a lovely extra, and felt very secure.

Breakfast as always, really good an important note the cakes are outstanding, the one without floor with oat and banana we could not avoid to ask the recipe, simply delicious. The room were well cleaned and the staff was always nice and efficient, as the owners Carlos and his wife. All our stay was excellent.

Pousada bem confortável e tranquila. O café da manhã uma delicia, muito bem servido, com diversas variedades de pães, bebidas, e bolos. Quarto limpo, travesseiros macios, não tive problemas com insetos. Piscina aquecida, o que é um grande diferencial, pq o tempo estava fechado para ir a praia. Os funcionários todos bem discretos e gentis. Obrigado pela estadia, especialmente ao Sr. Ceará que passou contatos dós motoristas que atendem. Pois na Ilha não tem nenhum app de corrida. Somente taxi e motoristas particulares.

The location was great as well as the hotel itself (clean, comfortable, views, and pool). The beach access is also amazing and great for a quick walk/swim.

O Hotel é excelente, muito bem localizado na Vila, perto de lojinhas e restaurantes. O café da manhã é maravilhoso. A equipe super gentil e atenciosa. Lençóis e toalhas de ótima qualidade. Tem uma jacuzzi na varanda dos quartos, muito gostoso! A piscina do hotel é aquecida. Tem um café da tarde bem gostoso.

The breakfast was incredible every day. Everything was fresh, with little surprises every morning. The rooms were clean and overall the hotel had really good facilities. Staff was super friendly and helpful as well. Every morning there was a visit of the little monkey friends which made breakfast even more fun. Depending on what tours you are doing, they might pick you up from the hotel itself or drop you there, which was also great!

The place is beautiful, cozy and very clean, just like the pictures. The staff is attentive and very pleasant. I just loved the breakfast service, makes the experience unique. The bedroom is comfortable and the space is good. I had a very nice time, even with the weather being crazy.

Fantastic hotel, all the personnel was so extremely friendly, fantastic room, delicious 5 course breakfast, awesome swimming pool, and the best: the daily coffee moment at 16:30 with coffee, tea, fruit juice and every day a different freshly made cake! I wanted to stay there forever!

Breakfast was amazing, the fresh Tapiocas were just perfect. Staff is the best, extremely polite and flexible, we arrived late in the night and they keep in contact with us to have a smooth check in. A special thanks to Virginia for letting us use the hotel facility allowing us to enjoy the beaches a bit longer. Besides the main swimming pool they have a small one in the back that we used after the beach. The location was also good we could reach Feticeira, Juliao and Praia Grande by foot. In general Ilhabela is not easy to explore without a car, we used the local taxis to reach the city center, prices were higher than expected.

The staff was very kind and helpful, the breakfast buffet very nice and the location near Portinho, Praia do Oscar and Feiticeira great for us.

O hotel tem uma estrutura boa,.tem piscina,bar, fomos super bem atendidos pela recepção e de modo geral funcionários bem prestativos, o quarto é grande e de modo geral oferece um ótimo conforto, o café da manhã com variedade e boas opções para todos os gostos, próximos da praia e mercado,vale a pena e voltaria com certeza ao hotel.

Fomos em 4 pessoas, casal e 2 crianças, hotel simples, mas muito limpo, muito bem cuidado, cama ótima, fiquei em um quarto pequeno com varanda, cama de casal ,bicama, e um frigobar, com uma varanda com mesinha cadeira e rede, que adoramos, pois o serviço do restaurante do hotel e ótimo. Tudo funciona bem, desde a recepção, o café da manhã ótimo, que tem de tudo um pouco, não e aqueles de hotel de luxo, com um monte de coisa que a gente nem come, mas bem variado, com tapioca feita na hora, ovos mexidos também, bolos , frios , pães, frutas , tudo impecável. Sem contar a funcionária que fica no café da manhã, super educada e prestativa. A piscina super limpa, mas não usamos, pois ficamos pouco tempo no hotel, com certeza na próxima ida a Ilhabela me hospedarei lá.

O quarto era excelente, enorme! Optamos pela suite com jacuzzi e foi uma ótima escolha pois em um dos dias choveu e conseguimos aproveitar a estadia. Nossa jacuzzi deu problema com a válvula, mas os funcionários resolveram tudo de forma rápida e tranquila. O hotel é muito bem arejado, áreas abertas, todos usando máscaras e o staff é muito prestativo, educado e gentil. Recomendo!

Very good friendly and relaxing stay over.Family orientated, family environment, very good high quality material being used for building and interior etc., all full functional. Breakfast could be better (on benchmark international), coffee being prepared in pots (individual coffee machine preferred with beans) should be better. Very quiet and harmonic still being very closed to the road, nature in the garden full visible, birds singing in the morning, fitness center, tennis court, swimming and relaxing pool. Summary: Fantastic stay with tendency to repeat again.

Excellent location, staff is very friendly, service is e excellent , walkable to shops and restaurants, breakfast is great, rooms are specious and new beautiful clean modern, comfortable beds.

I stayed at this hotel for my wedding along with most of my wedding guests. The hotel itself is impeccable. The staff are all friendly and helpful. They were able to hold a private dinner for us and our guests as a “welcome dinner”. The food and service was spectacular. Everyone had a great time. The staff was very accommodating, moving rooms for those in need, one person needed a more handicap accessible room, another requiring a single room for a longer stay. The location is perfect, right across the street from Pier 151 Eventos, within walking distance to the downtown pier where there are many shops and restaurants. Also a short drive or a lengthier but manageable walk to some beautiful beaches and waterfall hiking trails. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Brazil. A trip to Ilhabela is definitely worth your while.

The hotel was really nice from the time that you walked in off the street. The staff was very nice and friendly the whole time I was there. It was a great experience. The room was really nice, the breakfast was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Incrível, ótimo atendimento, funcionários educados, atenciosos e prestativos. Ótimo bar na piscina, quarto limpo e espaçoso e um café da manhã completo. A localização é perfeita, poder ir a pé até a Vila é um privilégio!

Estádia muito boa! Hotel na frente da praia, funcionários receptivos, ótima variedade e qualidade no café da manhã. Quarto com ar condicionado, piscina climatiza, bar da piscina com variedades de porções e cerveja bem gelada.

Formidável. Conheço a Ilha muito bem e já me hospedei em vários hotéis em Ilhabela. Esse é um dos melhores porque oferece infraestrutura necessária para que vc nem precise sair dele. Tem praia particular, piscina climatizada, jacuzzi, inúmeras cadeiras e espreguiçadeiras, tudo com uma vista incrível. O ponto "negativo" vai para os quartos pois são pequenos e carecem de sofisticação. Como o hotel tem vários níveis, não é recomendado para pessoas com necessidades especiais e/ou dificuldade para subir e descer de escadas.

Absolutely beautiful hotel - super clean, so comfortable, staff were amazing! Nothing was too much trouble. Felt like a proper tropical paradise on the Island. A great location a few minutes taxi ride from the main towns. Superb views, and we loved the dock/jetty - we got a private boat tour and they were able to drop us off right at the hotel. Room was perfect. Breakfast was delicious, and we never struggled to get a table or a lounger by the pool on or on the beach. Felt quiet, private and romantic.

My husband and I spend just one night at the hotel and I loved it. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was very clean and comfortable, the view was stunning!! The breakfast was very good. sunset from the pool view was amazing!! I’d definitely recommend going there.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely time. Everything was perfect and our room was very comfortable and had a beautiful view onto the water. Food was delicious too and staff very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to be back next time, hopefully for longer.

The hotel is set in a really beautiful location with a sea view. It’s about 20 minutes drive from the centre but has a really nice beach just across the road. The staff were really nice and always helpful when you have questions - they provide beach chairs and towels and parasols if you want to go across and sit at the beach. The rooms are a really great size and the hammocks on the balcony are a nice touch. The sauna area was barely used by other guests so essentially had it to myself several times! I also did a massage spa treatment during my stay and it was so lovely. The nature is great - you can hear a variety of birds. I also ate at the restaurant - the breakfast is a good mix of hot and cold buffet options and there’s a widespread lunch and dinner menu on offer. I came as a solo traveller and felt really safe and secure here.

The breakfast was wonderful with plenty of fresh fruit, pastries, juices and the option of cooked to order eggs. Location was great. You could walk into town in about 20 minutes and the bus stop was very close by. A beautiful beach was directly across the street. I really enjoyed the heated swimming pool with the infinity view and swim up bar. Front desk staff was really helpful arranging a taxi for me. I would recommend this hotel.

What a lovely place. I took my family here for a great family reunion. The kids loved the swimming pool and beach, the adults enjoyed the restaurant and the wet bar. The food is amazing here. Staff are friendly and always there for you.

My family had a blast during our stay and we left the place already planning our return. The whole staff is very kind and welcoming. We had lunch and dinner at other places, but the hotel restaurant served the best food. We strongly recommend you to stay here.

This was the most beautiful hotel we stayed in during my visit to Brazil. The attention to detail of all the features, the location and the restaurants and amenities the hotel had were excellent. The location on the beach with the pool is beautiful . We upgraded to the jacuzzi room, which was not much extra if you compare to hotels in Dubai where i live.

Great hotel with three amazing restaurants, a great pool and a fantastic beach. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Food was great. In summary, this hotel definitely is at par with some of the resorts we stayed at in Asia. Highly recommended.
