I felt so taken care of after a long travel day! I have never been to a hotel that included dinner and three drinks! It brought people out of their rooms, and was very fun. The dinner and breakfast are buffet style and is of restaurant quality, and many choices. The pool and jacuzzi are lovely. My king sized suite was huge, and nicely appointed.

My family had an excellent experience at the Drury Inn! From check-in to check-out, everything exceeded my expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The beds were cozy, and the entire property was quiet and well-maintained. One of the best parts was the complimentary breakfast and evening “Kickback.” The food was delicious, plentiful, and such a nice bonus that sets Drury apart from other hotels. The indoor pool and hot tub were clean and inviting, and the location was convenient to restaurants, shopping, and major highways. Overall, Drury Inn delivers outstanding value and genuine hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and those extra amenities that make travel enjoyable. I’ll definitely be staying here again!p

Character and style, friendly and professional staff, spacious and comfortable, fun touches (fresh "movie" popcorn), and very nice, tasty evening and breakfast buffet options. The room was quiet and comfortable for my cat, as well.

This Drury Inn exceeded expectations. From the well lighted, secure, and plentiful parking and beautifully landscaped grounds it was a welcoming arrival. Check-in was quick and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was wonderful in every way. The beds and pillows were comfortable with crisp, clean linens. The bathroom was very clean and we were wondering how they do such a good job on the glass shower enclosure. It was spotless. The complimentary food was a bonus and delicious. The price was very good. Do be aware that the prices go way up for Iowa football weekends, as I'm sure all other hotels do also. A really great experience.

Clean and spacious room with comfortable beds and linens. The bathroom was also extremely clean with a big shower and great lighting. The modern lobby and dining area were a nice atmosphere for breakfast and kickback dinner hours! The complimentary meals and drinks are another reason we love staying at Drury Inn!

My whole office went for a conference held there for our industry. The Hotel was beautiful, with a large variety of meeting and banquet rooms available, and a cafe/bar built in. The food was excellent for lunch and breakfast - we had dinner at the Backpocket Brewery within 1 block walking distance from the front door, also very good , with a nice gas fire pit & outside seating. The actual guest rooms were very nice, clean and well air conditioned, with comfy beds 4 different softness of pillows on each bed, and a nice little kitchenette area with a coffee maker and fridge. There was a smaller and a full length mirror outside of the bathroom with outlets nearby so that myself and my female roommate could both do hair and makeup at the same time. The bathroom was good with a rainfall shower, but also a handheld sprayer for actually rinsing well. The shampoo, conditioner, soaps and lotion provided smelled nice and worked well, they were the large bottles that are mounted to the shower wall. All the hotel workers we encountered were very kind and accommodating, including the Starbucks barista, the Check in and Check out desk agents, the food services employees and bussers. I never saw a maid, but the whole place was sparkling clean. Great experience, 8/10 would go here again!

Very clean. Location was perfect and convenient to dining and shopping. Breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced with nice outdoor patio. Friendly staff. Only recommendation would be to please provide coffee in the lobby. I did not want my room Keurig pods or to go to the restaurant to pay for a coffee. Only chilled water was provided

First time visitor. I was there with many others for a convention. Attentive staff. Enjoyed the attached restaurant. Nothing fancy inside, but good food. There is a nice covered outdoor area to enjoy for your meal too. Good drinks. Pool area clean. Hotel clean. Comfortable bed (King). Had a comforter for blanket instead of thin bed spread! We did not hear our neighbors TV. The heating / AC is updated. Worked great, as it is forced air and quiet. A Keurig coffee maker is in the room! A small cooling refrigerator, keeps things slightly cold. No microwave in room, however there is one onsite. Lovely atmosphere and surroundings of a riverwalk.

The staff is so friendly! Spotlessly clean, comfortable and a great location! The restaurant and bar serves amazing food and drinks as well as the coffee shop. Will be the hotel we stay at whenever we’re in the Coralville/Iowa City area!

Great Stay with friends and family! We took a girls trip with our moms and daughters, and this hotel was a great choice! Clean, crisp rooms, friendly staff, and reasonable food options. I love when the hotel has a Keurig compatible coffeemaker, good size fridge and access to a microwave. Tons of shopping and restaurants nearby. Mini Starbucks in the lobby with great quick breakfast options. Only 2 things that I didn’t love were the shower was a bathtub, not a walk-in and the water never got past lukewarm, but the 2 things were not deal breakers. Parking is not free, and the last day of our trip you only get one exit from the garage, then it is $1/hour, not bad!

Great location! The bed was comfy, the happy hour was great with the drinks and snacks, the jacuzzi tub in our room was amazing, and it was nice and quiet there.

Picked my Husband up at Airport & surprised him that we were staying in Des Moines! I wanted a Jacuzzi room but they were sold out. We loved our stay! Dinner, Drinks & Breakfast food were the icing on the cake!

Your stay at a Drury will make you want to find another one when your trip is done. The hotels offer friendly customer service and we have found that the rooms are clean, quiet and easy to use. Love the feature of not having to arrive in the afternoon and go hunt for a place to dinner. They serve an amazing array of food choices (both breakfast and dinner) you will not go away hungry and the staff is helpful and constantly refreshing food. Our bed was excellent and the bathroom was enormous, very nice shower also. We stayed in a room with a king sized bed, very spacious!! Clean, Clean, Clean!!

Love staying here! Everything was so clean! Staff at check in was extremely friendly! Really had a fun evening here! The workout room was great too!! They've got some state of the art equipment! The breakfast buffet was delicious! Didn't make it in time for the dinner but I've heard it's wonderful! Highly recommend this place of you're looking for a fun relaxing time!

The hotel is both historic and modern with a spacious lobby, old fashioned elevators, and hallways highlighting Des Moines’ history. We were greeted by a genuinely friendly and helpful front desk staff, which we appreciated at a time when good customer service is hard to come by. The room was spacious, modern, clean and very quiet. It features modern elements like a flat screen TV as well as unique features like an antique style lamp switch and towel hooks. The bed was very comfortable and we had the best night’s sleep of our weeklong trip. The room had no odor and the A/C was quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and featured a walk in shower with good water pressure and an amazing design, along with large, luxurious towels. We took the advice of another reviewer and parked on the street instead of paying for parking.

We stayed here on a Saturday night. Our room was upgraded from a regular king to a king suite because we are Hilton honor members. The room was very spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. We were able to get street parking right outside the front door. The hotel is beautifully restored and the restaurant/bar was fairly busy. We had one cocktail there. There are lots of restaurants, bars, Starbucks and even a Hy-Vee within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here briefly on a road trip we did through Iowa and Nebraska. The hotel is beautiful and we only got to visit one restaurant, Hobnob Coffee and Wine Bar, for breakfast. We stayed on a Sunday night to Monday night and there weren’t many guests or staff. We wanted room service and followed the instructions on the card left in our room (you’re supposed to pick your meal choices and leave the card on the handle of your door the night before your expected breakfast). Unfortunately, the breakfast never came, so that’s why we ended up just eating at the restaurant. That was a bit disappointing for the quality of service the hotel is supposed to be offering, but we assumed it was because there was not a lot of staff that night.

Lobby was left messy after crowds moved out making it difficult to use the shared space. The Hobnob bar was clean, welcoming and an amazing experience. the room was clean enough but the bedding has some small stains and the shower door was in good shape. There is not a fan in the bathroom and the small king bed room could use some privacy with close proximity to the bed. Overall it was okay just didn't leave up to expectations from the renovated property. The back garage elevator not working is also difficult with luggage if not using valet.

Staff was able to accommodate our request for a room with a city window view and were chatty and helpful with what/where to see/do/dine in the walkable area. Helped us set up TV and our foursome in a semi-private mini-area for viewing a sporting event. Very responsive to questions and helpful area recommendations. 2nd floor Breakfast area staff very on top of keeping the selections fresh and full and clean. Selections a notch above most breakfast-included lodging places and presented very attractively. Open, modern, well-lit lobby and bar, too. Cosmopolitan feel very nice with simple menu (dine at the bar or take back to room). They also allowed us to order in from outside and eat in the bar area. (We actually shared our pizza with the desk crew one night!) Whole 1st/2nd floor public area was modern and open and cosmopolitan.

We always stay at the Hyatt Place when we visit Iowa City. It's clean. It's modern. It's quiet and well-located for walking into the university are where there are restaurants and shops. Anything farther away is easily accessible by Uber or Lyft. We visited for a graduation and the town was warm and welcoming. The Hyatt Place offers a great breakfast and work area downstairs with comfy chairs and tables with computers for your use. Open and airy entry and meeting place. Although there is food service and a bar downstairs near reception, we didn't need to utilize it on this trip. But for a quick eat or drink, it's great! And there's a daly breakfast served buffet style on the second floor with lovely views of the city. Will always stay at they Hyatt Place when we visit in the future.

The hotel front desk is very responsible and willing to help with a variety of needs!!! They went out of their way to serve with a smile on their face. That is a rare thing these days. The view from the high floors 10-12 are beautiful, and floors 6-9 have larger windows! I also greatly appreciated the breakfast spread with dairy free alternatives like soy milk and oat milk. This really adds class to their coffee bar. The French toast with berry compote was wonderful, and I loved how they provided the eggs, salsa, cheese, and bacon which I combined to make a delicious breakfast bowl! I would highly recommend the Hyatt Place! One thing to note, however, is there are no microwaves in the rooms – there is just one shared on the second floor. It is super safe and protected with keycard access required to get up the elevator. Beautiful downtown location!

The property was conveniently located off I35 on a quiet side street. The hotel appeared to be new or recently renovated. The staff was friendly and check in was fast and simple. The lobby area was open and had a modern appearance. Our room was comfortable with a great bed. The bath had a large vanity and good shower. The pool was clean and heated, but not too warm. Unfortunately there was no hot tub. Breakfast was much better than the ordinary complimentary breakfast. I would definitely recommend stay here.

The room was very clean. Everything looked recently renovated. The lobby was decorated for the season, which was very cute. There was a large variety of food for breakfast, both hot and cold items. Our beds were comfy and the room was quiet. We heard no noise from other people or from traffic. We didn’t use the pool area, but other families did. It looked clean and well maintained. All the employees were friendly. I couldn’t ask for more!

Great stay! La Quinta in Ankeny was exactly what we needed—clean, reasonably priced, and close to restaurants and our event venue. Check-in was smooth, and the room (king with breakfast) was comfortable, with a great TV setup and a nice bathroom. The gym was well-equipped for a small crowd, with free weights, cardio machines, towels, and water. Breakfast was fresh and well-stocked, with both hot and cold options, including fresh fruit, waffles, and yogurt. The staff kept everything clean and replenished. Didn’t get to use the pool, but it looked inviting. We would definitely stay again!

Breakfast had a great variety of food. Front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. Which is a big plus for me. Room was very clean and plenty of room. Loved the comfy beds and pillows. Very quiet at night except for the people slamming their doors. Our shower had a high pitch squeal to it but went away after awhile. We will stay again if ever in the area. 😊😊

The staff was all very friendly, the breakfast was good, and the staff was working to make sure the breakfast area was clean and well stocked. The room was clean and well taken care of. The rest of the facilities were well maintained as well. We enjoyed our stay.

Centrally located, adjacent to the pedestrian mall, Graduate is an interesting (quirky?) hotel in downtown Iowa City. My understanding is that the hotel is a rebirth of an older establishment, part of a chain that seems to focus on lo al educational institutions. The lobby is spacious, with nooks for gathering and sitting, and a central "library" where all the books and publications are shelved with the spine backwards (you can't see titles). I asked about this, and was told "you can't judge a book by its cover!" ... Ok, maybe they are not actually encouraging browsing? Our room as towards the top floors with a good view out over city opposite the pedestrian mall. The room was spacious and comfortable; a king bed an easy chair, desk and the usual furniture. Decoration was Upscale Student, so in keeping with the hotel's name and theme. There is an adjacent coffee shop, open till late afternoon, and bar-pub open about the same time the coffee place closes. In-Room coffee is a BIG disappointment: An electric kettle and some packets of Instant "Coffee" (hard to say, it was a bitter brown liquid, we did not even finish the 1st cup, never tried again). Even the No-Tell Motel does better on in-room coffee. (and note, we tended to go out on the pedestrian mall for your coffee and breakfast, see reviews, as the coffee shop was meh) Parking is available in the next-door municipal parking ramp. I would return to Graduate.

This hotel is very welcoming and eclectic. The staff is very friendly. The attached restaurant and bar was wonderful. Only complaint I’d have is the condition of the shower/tub. Our tub had peeled ceramic and rust spots which gave it a less clean feeling. Hopefully when it time for improvement replacing those are the 1st on the list. The beds were very comfortable and the room was decorated adorably with the refreshed antique look.

While the outside needs work, the hotel and restaurants are clean and comfortable. We felt safe and the staff was always helpful and friendly.

Very central location to the pedestrian mall and campus area, restaurants abound nearby. Rooms are all the same, but adequate. Bathrooms are definitely not lavishly big but are clean. Always wish Graduates had better bathroom fans, they just never seem adequate for multiple people to take showers and clear the steam. Parking lot is conveniently nearby. Had a nice cocktail at the attached bar. Seemed to need more clear instructions for me regarding the ability to get food from the hotel restaurant.

Everything was awesome, starting with the nice appearance of the building as you pull into the parking lot. Then walking into the welcoming and spacious lobby, the colorful string lights going up the stairs gives such a homey and loving feel...total bonus points for that extra touch. Then the ease of check in and the kindness of the staff. Our room was clean, comfortable and nice. And finally, the breakfast was plentiful and again, the staff working the breakfast super helpful and kind. Everything about this hotel was fantastic. I am so glad we chose to stay here!! We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area!!

Loved the quiet and walkable downtown location. Facilities were very nice and our spacious room was fresh and clean. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Would book here again if future opportunity arises.

The jacuzzi tub was just what I needed after 1800 miles of motorcycling in two days. It got a lot of the knots out then the bed was great with all the pillows I could desire.

Stony Creek is AWESOME! The staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is delicious, the rooms are clean, and they are pet friendly! Great stay with lots of perks. Most food places deliver quite quickly and there is also a bar in the hotel! The pool is awesome, the kids and adults both loved it!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, checking in and out was very easy and pleasant. The room was beautiful, super clean, smelled nice and very quiet. The bed was nice and comfortable and the shower was very spacious as well. Loved this hotel and definitely will stay again, highly recommend to anyone.

Girls at front desk were all super pleasant and accomdating minus 2 of them. Rooms were clean and comfy, swimming was a lot of fun during the weekdays it was quiet and calm, hottub has always been working. Only deal is a lot of nights people like to drink by the pool and its super loud, other than that partys are expected - but irregardless they close at 11 and its kept nice and quiet. Breakfast isnt super desirable but its better than just cold cereal or nothing. Coffee machine by the front door was my go to every morning. Definitely would return ☺️

The room was clean and spacious, and the staff was VERY attentive, friendly, and professional. They make sure the guests feel at home. The complimentary breakfast takes place in the attached restaurant, so there is plenty of room. Lots of parking, a very large pool area with enough tables and chairs to accommodate several groups, and the pool traffic does not have to walk through the lobby, which is so nice. The attached restaurant is Old Chicago, and they have some great food, too.

Our stay at the Best Western was perfect! The staff was very friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, and it is centrally located. The breakfast bar had real breakfast food....eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes. My family was very pleased with the everything!

The room was large and clean. The bathroom was huge with great lighting to do hair and makeup. There was so much space in the room, and everything was comfortable. In room coffee was good, room had a fridge which was very clean. The bathroom was spotless, as was the rest of the room. Linens seemed new. Staff was friendly and helpful. Their breakfast is the best! Staff is constantly checking and replenishing the food and it is fantastic. Menu changes each day.

Some BW hotels are great and some are really really bad. This place was not perfect but it was toward the upper end. Room did not smell and I experienced no critters in my room. This is a family hotel and I was trying to work so was very glad to have a room far away from the pool/atrium area which was very loud with screaming kids playing games every time I went near it. Room was comfortable though I only had a few working channels on the TV and when I tried to cast from my phone it would not work, so I just watched tv on my tablet all week. Coffee in the lobby was good but coffee in the breakfast area would have been nice as well- breakfast was just okay. No vegetarian choices really other than toast. The attached restaurant/bar is an Old Chicago that has seen better days. It appeared to be a local after work hangout. I ordered a glass of wine (of which there were several choices on the menu) and all they had was one canned wine.

They do have breakfast but I did not get the opportunity to partake in it because I was loving the room so much and slept through the breakfast. Overall, the room was wonderful, smelled clean and nice, the view was nice, the jacuzzi tub was clean and wonderful and the staff was great.

The breakfast could have had more hot item selections but was still good. The jacuzzi suites have always been amazing. Beds are so comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Downtown Des Moines. The hotel itself was excellent—very clean, well-maintained, and staffed with friendly, attentive service. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a modern and well-designed bathroom. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, though the showerhead could have used a cleaning as it appeared partially clogged. The hotel bar was a nice bonus—strong, well-made drinks and decent food made it a great spot to unwind. One of the best perks of this location is how walkable it is. You’re within easy walking distance of several great restaurants, bars, and shops, and it’s especially convenient if you’re in town for the Des Moines Farmers Market when it’s in season. The only real downside was the parking situation. While the hotel offers self-parking for $30/day, it’s a bit frustrating. The small surface lot holds about 20 cars, and the underground garage—while larger—is incredibly tight. The layout is awkward, with many spaces blocked by concrete pillars and a dead-end row that’s nearly impossible to back out of if the garage is full. Unless you’re driving a compact car, parking can be a real challenge. Overall, we’d definitely stay again for the quality and convenience—just be prepared for tight parking or consider alternate transportation options.

I had a perfect two-day stay at the Hilton Des Moines Downtown. Everything was terrific. The location is convenient to a variety of business and tourist sites. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. The room was modern and well-appointed with plenty of outlets and charging ports. The amenities are excellent, with a well-equipped fitness center and fast Wi-Fi. I did not use the pool nor the conference facilities. Dinner at the restaurant was quite good and there are also many restaurants a short walk from the hotel. Since the weather was nice, I didn't use the skywalks, but I am sure they are quite useful in winter. it was my first time in Des Moines, and I am glad that I stayed at the Hilton Des Moines Downtown. If I return to this area, I will definitely stay at this hotel again. Highly recommended.

It was our first time staying in downtown Des Moines. Our entire stay from check-in to check-out was superior. After driving all day it was so nice to relax. The staff could not be more accommodating. Checking in was a breeze. We arrived for check in later in the evening so the bar area was open for food and having a delicious menu with many things to choose from. The bar staff went out of our way to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast in the restaurant had a wonderful assortment of choices and the service was excellent. Again, the entire staff was kind, courteous and gave amazing customer service.

Spacious rooms, comfortable bed and pillows, and helpful staff. Food at event in meeting room was delicious and good quality. I didn't eat at the restaurant or visit the bar, but there were lots of people there. Cozy seating outdoors. Walkway to the conference center was great during the heat of summer and I am sure the cold of winter.

we stayed one night going and another night coming back from Kansas city to attend a funeral. There is plenty of parking by the entrance to unload. The desk clerk was friendly and helpfully told where to park right across the street for a couple of dollars. The hotel had a huge bar in the lobby that doubled as Starbucks in the mornings. Restaurant was also in the lobby. This hotel is next to the convention center and connects by an enclosed walkway. Downtown restaurants are very close and we could have easily walked except for the bitter cold. So we took an Uber. The room was nicely decorated, clean, with good linens and pillows. Everything in the room worked well, plenty of light and two chairs. Overall it was a good, comfortable stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was excellent—staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. The location is in a quiet area, perfect for a relaxing stay. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend!

The hotel was clean and staff was welcoming. It was near the airport with a free shuttle. It did take a while for the shuttle to pick us up from the airport, but you could schedule it back to the airport so that was nice. The rooms were a bit loud, but they were comfortable, spacious and clean. The breakfast was adequate and it started at 4 which was earlier than advertised and nice since we were actually leaving for the airport shortly after that.

All the important things you want in a hotel stay were great - comfortable mattress, linens, shower head, large closet with plenty of hangers, small kitchen area, fast internet, good breakfast with a nice variety of hot items that were presented well and kept stocked, pool area was clean and orderly. Restaurant and gas station across the street for convenience. We would stay here again for sure.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn on August 21. Nancy, was wonderful welcoming us I had requested handicap room that was shower accessible and she made sure we had one. We met Drew one of the owners of the property and he was excellent too. They both had suggestions for dinner. We decided to just eat at Applebee's which was only about a long block away. The swimming pool was very nice and well maintained. I liked that the pool was warm enough. They also had hot tub which we did not use. After using the pool we smelled the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and they were delicious. The room was very nice. My only suggestion was the bed. Drew, explained that new mattresses were on order. The breakfast was excellent. I would suggest this to my clients wanting a convenient hotel in Ankeny.

Booked this hotel to ride the High Trestle Trail. It’s super close to the trailhead. Very clean hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful, decent little workout room-free weights and some cardio machines (all in good working order!) , and the breakfast buffet was quite nice! I would absolutely stay here again. It is not a brand new hotel so some things are a little dated. But still very clean and quiet and nice.

It was conveniently located. The entire property was spotless. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was welcoming and helpful. We didn’t spend much time in the room because we were visiting a sick relative. So it was the perfect place to come back to in the evening to decompress.

I was really happy with the hotel. Clean and comfortable, helpful staff. The hotel is very convenient to Interstate 35, and easy to get to. The staff was professional and helpful. I would stay there again.

This is our first time staying here. It was a great experience. The staff at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and exactly what we needed. It was so nice to have a fridge and microwave. The bed was high up off the floor and I loved it! Mattress is a little firm for my liking, but that's all personal preference. Plugs right next to the bed was perfect for charging my phone while I slept. I do wish we could have the fan on constant speed, but again, personal preference. Only downside--walls are a little on the thin side, but luckily we had quiet guests next to us. We enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning before we left. I only had toast, my partner had the waffle and eggs.

In town for a quick 2 day weekend with a friend. Picked the handicapable 2 bed suite. The room was gigantic with plenty of space to lounge and spread our stuff out. Kitchenette looked solid but we didn't cook so can't comment on that. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedroom AC vent provided ample ice cold air for quality sleeping conditions. The only two downsides were that the bedroom did not have overhead lights, only a small table lamp, and the bathroom shower assembly was quite subpar compared to how nice everything else was. The rest of the bathroom was just fine, though. Finally, everything on the 1st floor is great. Spacious workout area, ample pool/hot tub room, extremely large dining area and lounge, and breakfast was a good variety with all of the continental breakfast staples.

We've never stayed in a Staybridge and were really please with the experience. Good staff (although could be more informed about local restaurants) and exceptional room/1 bedroom suite. The layout is one of the best thought out of any recent hotel stay. Also great location in the middle of East Village. This will be our place to stay on future DSM visits.....and we'll try Staybvridge in other places. Pros: Location, Full kitchen, Very comfortable bed and pillows, Lots of plugs, Very good shower, Better than average free breakfast (hours could be a little longer), 2 TVs, Good HVAC, Cons: Parking is $20 and in a mediocre lot behind the hotel, Smokers at back door smell up the area, housekeeping missed one day but otherwise room was impeccably clean.

The hotel staff were amazing. Everything was perfect. I was visiting Des Moines to watch my grandson in the NJHRF, but I was in a virtual class throughout the day. I felt safe, the breakfast was amazing, and the WiFi fit my needs. I highly recommend Staybridge Suites Downtown Des Moines. I can’t recall the name of the lady at the front desk most of the week, but she was fantastic!

From the moment we walked through the doors, we received a marvellous greeting and service from receptionist Michelle Moreno. Nothing was to difficult, Michelle went out of her way in every aspect. Room was spacious, fantastic comfortable bed with amazing pillows. Very nice Dove products used within the bathroom area. Really comfortable room. Really enjoyed the leisure centre, Pool and Spa clean and relaxing with great opening times.

We are a family of five, so we always need a suite. This place was perfect. Plenty of room, very clean, the staff at breakfast are amazing and its a great location. We forgot two items in the closet that were never found, but that doesn’t change my rating. Desk staff incredibly helpful and professional. We will definitely stay here for the rest of our visits.

When we walked in I thought this was a brand new hotel. It is clean! And Modern, spacious, light and Jackie was a bright smile welcoming us! The room was spotless and looked new. Breakfast was above average with choices, but they had not replenished some options so our choices were limited. We must have just mis- timed our visit because most options had been refilled before we were done eating. The Coffe was available 24/7, a really nice touch. The breakfast area was airy, bright, spacious and very clean. We did not use the business center, pool, or workout area, but did check them out. Adequate and again very clean. We will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Everyone we encountered at property was ultra friendly & helpful!!! Front desk staff were very friendly checking in & out!!! The breakfast was same as every other Holi...yo hum!!! Nothing exceptional....no breakfast potatoes in a Midwest property was a surprise!! Biscuits & gravy were quite a hit!!! I made a breakfast sandwich..missed bananas but there were apples & mandarins... Coffee was very weak... Only downside was the ultramodern furnishings...I liked the blonde furniture but not enough plug ins for devices..microwave was too small to reheat leftovers...shucks!!! The new “ergonomic “ desk chairs are uncomfortable!!! The chaise needs a table for my beverage/water & my book!!! The beds were new enough to be comfortable!! The bathroom was well designed but I hate common dispensers!!! Water was nice pressure & heated throughout shower!!!

We rented multiple rooms for multiple day for a family gathering. The hotel provided clean rooms, all of the hotel is well cared for. Staff were amazing and very polite. We had 15 rooms booked with multiple unique needs. Staff met them all!! Linens and towels were clean and pristine! Lobby and rooms were spotless. Refrigerator and coffee maker in ALL the rooms. Pets were allowed, thank god. But you didn't know they were there. Breakfast is included and was delicious and plentiful. The hotel was full, many people ate at there and staff kept it stocked. Pool was very clean as well was weight room. We were able to use conference room for a meal we had brought in, very accommodating. Would stay again. We appreciated everything.

The room was neat and clean, the bed firm and inviting. The stay was quiet and comfortable. It was obvious that staff had taken care of the property, inside and out. We were greeted immediately with a warm and welcoming attitude. In fact, every person with whom we came in contact there seemed genuinely happy to have us in their hotel. Breakfast was the usual,as expected, but the attendant kept everything spotless and plentiful. We were thanked, yet again, when we checked out. This will be our first choice for the next visit.

I enjoyed my stay here a couple of weeks ago. The hotel was fantastic! The lobby was nicely appointed with modern furniture and touches. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and plenty of space. Between the refrigerator, iron/ironing board, and television...what else do you need? The beds were super comfortable with excellent linens. Breakfast was served every morning. It was delicious! You MUST make your own pancakes...with a machine!! Awesome! The staff is what makes this place so wonderful...Jackie, Tonya, Kaitlyn, and everyone else! Thank y’all so much!!

The Hotel Winneshiek is located in the heart of downtown Decorah. It is within walking distance of all the best local restaurants and shops. The hotel is very inviting. We found it to be very clean and comfortable--amazing bed and pillows. Staff was friendly and accommodating. As tourists, it had just what we needed-- breakfast, a bar, and restaurant for evening dining were right on site. Decor was a throw back to older times and very inviting. Looked newly remodeled. We will be back.

I have stayed at the Winneshiek Hotel many times and keep coming back. It’s a perfect location to explore the town on foot. The hotel is unique in style and history. Very clean and comfortable. It has morning breakfast items and a restaurant/bar. Across the street is a fun coffee shop too. A great place to gather with family and friends.

I travel frequently and have stayed in many hotels all over the world. This is only the 2nd hotel I have been in that provided 2 luggage racks in the room! While it may seem like a small thing it always amazes me that hotel rooms made for multiple people only supply one luggage rack, making peole have to balance additional suitcases on desk chairs or window sills. Besides that, this hotel is quiet, beds are comfy, and the location is perfect for exploring Decorah. We had a drink in the hotel bar and it was delicious and the bartender was friendly. We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area.

If you come to Decorah, you need to stay at Hotel Winneshiek. It's right in downtown Decorah where the shopping and food is easy to walk to. The hotel may be old but it has a lot of character and much closer than the other hotels/motels. The morning breakfast is great with pre-made croissants with fruit, yogurt, breakfast bars, coffee/tea, etc available. The bar was fun and the staff was personable. We'll come back to Hotel Winneshiek the next time.

Perfect Hotel for a little get away. Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Location was perfect for walking to site seeing, shopping and dinner.

The 2nd shift front counter lady was amazing! She made our stay even more great by her positive, bright, friendly, welcome everytime we entered the hotel. (She deserves a raise literally the best customer service we have ever had) All staff was very friendly and it had a beautiful view with a hot tub and a pool. Also nice burger restaurant next door with lake views. Family or romantic getaway its perfect location and hotel. The outlet mall is right across the street and you can see Adventureland from the hotel.

The front desk clerk Michelle was absolutely a doll. She goes out of her way to make you feel at home, the property is the cleanest I’ve seen at a hotel, I’m very picky . The breakfast was good and a notch above regular hotel breakfast. Rooms were spacious and clean. Shopping at the outlet was convenient. Adventure Land was easy to get to . The restaurant next to hotel had great food, customer service and the vibe was fun. All around I’d love to visit again. I was traveling with 1 other adult and 3 children.

We had a late check in and the lady who was serving at the front desk was enthusiastic and super helpful. The breakfast was a standard breakfast. They seemed very friendly toward families and also have a bar for adults at night to sit and chat. The room was very large (meaning the ceiling was way up there) and clean. The bathroom, especially the shower was beautiful and just a great stay from start to finish. The area around has another hotel, a shopping area, and is very close to a starbucks and an amusement park.

My family of four stayed here one night after the NASCAR race. The staff was so welcoming! I didn’t get her name but the front desk lady in the evening was so wonderful, friendly, helpful. What an asset. The hotel is in a good location. Two great restaurants next door. Bar in hotel was open until 11. We really appreciated the outdoor patio space and ability to walk around the pond. Room and hotel was spacious and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Husband and I both liked/enjoyed this hotel. It was actually one of the nicer ones that we’ve stayed in! It was modern, clean, spacious and felt upscale. The room was very nice, beds comfortable, awesome large screen TV. The breakfast fare was fairly standard as compared to other hotels, but dining area was very nice with lots of space. There is a nice patio, but it was a bit cool and windy to be able to enjoy it. The hotel location was great - not too far from a major freeway, close to a nice outlet mall and Bass Pro Shop. Adventureland and the horse racing track were also not too far away, but it was still too early in the season for both of them to be open. There is not one thing that I can think of that is negative about this property. Husband and I plan to return to this area in the future and will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Bed was super comfortable! Pillows- soft and fluffy - didnt stay for breakfast, coffee in room was real good. Room was old but very clean and nice. Airport shuttle at 400am was on time and very helpful. Staff friendly and helpful- close to airport and great restaurant near by. enjoyed our quick one night stay

I loved that it was so clean. Soooo clean. Did I mention how clean it was,From the front desk breakfast area elevator hallway pool the room was so clean smelled clean. Just love it was clean. Nice soft king bed we haven't had good sleep in a long time. Now I'm on a Hunt for a king bed.

Breakfast had a great selection. The dining room was clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and there were plenty of towels. The staff was courteous, friendly, and helpful. The room was clean.

We’ve stayed here many times and was pleasantly surprised by the new updates to the property. The beds are very comfortable and rooms are very clean. Housekeeping was very timely and thorough. However, the continental breakfast (even though complimentary) should be changed up a little; more fresh fruit options, breakfast pastry (packaged or fresh) and another coffee flavor (Hazelnut and/or vanilla). Overall a great stay and we will stay in the future.

Location was PERFECT ! Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was comfy and clean. Breakfast was good with a nice variety. Drinks at bar were tasty and convenient. Right next door was a fun place to eat and drink.

I had an excellent experience at this hotel. It was modern, spotless, and comfortable. The room was quiet and the bed was just right. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. Staff was welcoming and helpful, and best of all, my checkout time was at noon. I would definitely stay here again if/when I come back to Des Moines.

Decent breakfast and good coffee. The large room was spotless and comfortable. I loved the couch area to relax after work. The area is very nice with lots of shops and restaurants. Lots of parking and I felt very safe.

4.5 out of 5 stars Overall good experience and great value! My room was clean and comfortable. Larger than typical TV and couch. I liked the fresh fruit at breakfast. The choices weren't as vast as other hotels, but it was sufficient. Location: Great location near lots of restaurants and shopping. Safe feeling neighborhood. Noise: The walls were thin and you could hear people in the halls, however, with the room fan on constant, it was enough to block it out for sleeping.

The hotel is very much a classic. The old world furniture was fantastic. My wife’s favorite part was the Jacuzzi bathtub. The sitting room was very nice and very comfortable for four people to have a conversation without noise or a TV i the sitting room.

This is a lovely historical hotel that has been nicely updated. Very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet also. Can’t beat the downtown location. We were able to easily walk to shops and restaurants. $10 breakfast vouchers were given for each day at a choice of four local restaurants. Only negatives - pillows could have been bigger and more comfortable, and our room did not have a microwave.

We just loved our stay! It’s so comfortable and quiet here - and cool during the hot weather. The hotel is right on Main Street with all the restaurants and coffee shops and bars you need to be surrounded by Cedar Falls’ finest establishments.

I was scheduled to stay at this hotel for the better part of a week unfortunately the day after my first night I received an unexpected family emergency call at 3:30 pm. It was closer to 4:15 before I was packed and at the front desk asking to be checked out. The lady could see I was under duress and simply asked if she could assist in anyway and checked me out with out charging me an additional night due to the late hour of the day. Fantastic customer service, the situation couldn't have been handled any better. On to the hotel! My first impression was that the grounds, lobby and rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. My room was what I would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. It was fresh and clean, the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was hot and fresh. The same breakfast found at all Holiday Inn Express's though many times others may not be as fresh....lol It was a good location, with restaurants and a Walmart very close by. The price per night was reasonable and when I am in the area again I will definelty stay at this hotel again.

We needed a hotel in Clinton and were happy we went with this property. The rooms were clean, the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast staff were very attentive. Breakfast included grab-and-go choices (fruit, muffins, breakfast bars, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, etc.) as well as several dine-in options (biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, etc.). We noticed the pool was closed but that didn't matter to us. The one negative was that the room TV did not have the option to connect to our streaming services, so when we wanted to watch something in the evenings we had to choose from the channels available. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of if that's important to you. The view out our window was of a shopping plaza but the blackout curtains were so good that we couldn't tell when the sun had come up! Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely return to this location again.

A friend recommended that we stay at the Holiday Inn Express when visiting the Clinton area. We were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds and building were well maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable. We found the breakfast to tasty and plentiful. During the evening of our stay, the guests above us were very "heavy" footed. It did stop after ten o'clock. Our rates were the ones quoted to us two months before we stayed.

I have been staying at this hotel for at least 15 years, but had not been there recently. There are some wonderful new upgrades abound here. The bed was comfortable and pillows were GREAT. Much better than the last Intercontinental I stayed at, in fact. Most was the care with which everything in the room was done. In room coffee options, a refrigerator, nice toiletries, amazing shower water pressure, even a sleek little bag with hairdryer hung from the restroom door and not slung carelessly on the counter. There was even disposable plates and silverware in case you need to dine in room. Free HBO and a spotlessly clean room. What more do you need? Oh, and breakfast has improved tremendously. There are HEALTHY OPTIONS! Low sugar greek yogurt, oatmeal, low sugar cereal, turkey sausage, in addition to the cinnabons and other yummy sinful things if you want to indulge. They even have TO GO bags if you are on the run. A+++++. Staff are doing a great job. All HI Expresses should take note!!!

Clean, modern, large room. Restaurant and bar in the hotel, which was nice; the server was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and the food was tasty. Common areas (patio, lobby area) also clean and modern. The hotel seems quiet too. Highly recommended! I would definitely stay here again.

Stopped here 3 times within a month and requested a ground floor king. Ended up with the same room each time which was great but also gave me time to find any flaws. First. - the staff is amazing. Friendly and very efficient. Front desk and restaurant- prefect Midwest charm. The hotel is very new and surprisingly very quiet considering it was hosting quite a few construction crews from a far enough away building site. The room was very comfortable with an interesting and clever layout. Bed was very good and blackout blinds left no irritating gaps. Some very minor things - coffee maker didn’t work and as it was morning and too late to ask for a replacement I didn’t bother (it was replaced by my second stay). The foot rest in the shower wasn’t stable and I did mention to the front desk as that could be a safety issue. That’s all! All in all a prefect convenient stop off 80. Much easier in and out than Davenport or Iowa City.

the guy at the front desk was really helpful and friendly 🙂👍 the pool was amazing for the kids and very clean and provided necessities such as towels etc. loved that we keyed in and out of the pool, gym, laundry to provide that level of security. loved the parking, well lit and plenty. very clean lot, great location. felt very safe and new.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. Staff was friendly and check in was quick and efficient. The lobby has a very nice bar and the eating area is comfortable. Location is close to other dining places and close to interstate. Very happy with our stay.

First time staying at this brand; we selected it due to proximity to highway on a cross country road trip. The hotel lobby was clean and inviting. The room was perfect size with very comfy beds and a spotless bathroom. There were plenty of food options nearby as well as a restaurant on site (tho it was closed for Easter).

Very clean, safe, and quiet hotel. Decent breakfast, friendly staff helping people make waffles. Only comment which isn’t really a complaint… our kids love the Hampton Inn’s that have the different pictures by the room numbers and this one didn’t have that. Very comfortable stay!

A simple 1 minute walk from the hotels front door to the entrance of the casino! Hoop in the car for a 2 minute drive to the front of Fun City and the waterpark! Perfect stay!! Thanks!

This property is newer (in the last couple years) and is always clean and friendly staff. It's very convenient to have the casino and Fun City all available within indoor walking as well.
