The place is very nice, clean, well decorated. The rooms have enough space and the linen in the beds is impeccable. They have courtesy water, tea and coffee, room tidying and cleaning daily. The location is perfect, near Playa Brava, The Peninsula and Cavancha, all at a walkable distance. The rooftop is beautiful, with a cold jacuzzi and a bar, with view to the ocean. They also have a 24/7 gym. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They also have a baggage store service for when you check out, and they also offer late check out. An overall great experience.

The hotel is very well located, the staff is very friendly and attentive, the rooms are spacious and very clean, with panoramic views to the city and a black out courtain for better sleeping. There's always water available, a nice coffee maker and a kettle for tea. An overall good experience.

Everything was really good! The location near beaches, restaurants and beach walks. The staff was friendly and open to any inquiry. The size of the standard room is comfortable. My pet was allowed without any problems (presenting updated documents regarding pets vaccination). The foot also was tasty.

The hotel was generally quiet and comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and both were excellent.

Lovely. The room was modern and clean. The shower was hot and the water pressure was good. Good WiFi and good location. I would stay again.

Very friendly service and we were given a lovely corner room with a sea view of Playa Brava. Good facilities generally - TV with some english channels, good breakfast included, very nice outdoor heated swimming pool, free parking underneath the hotel, good air conditioning, bath and shower. Only detraction was the WiFi which worked well in public areas but not well in our room. Easy to walk to the beaches and cafes and restaurants. All in all a very good stay.

It was super clean. Staff was really friendly. Breakfast buffett had a few things to choose from and very clean. Great value for money.

This was a modern, clean and comfortable hotel very close to the beach. The centre of Iquique was walkable along the beach, and the surrounding area has lots of restaurants and bars. Underground parking was very convenient, and breakfast was also very good. The rooftop Sky Bar was great for a sunset cocktail too!

Wonderful stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Iquique. The hotel is convenient to the beaches, restaurants and shopping areas. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Wi-Fi was fast and stable. Didn't use the pool but the fitness center was standard for Hilton Garden Inns. The staff was professional and friendly. The only small negative is that the great location, right across from the beaches and associated attractions, means there can be a lot of traffic which does generate some noise. But it was not a major issue. Highly recommend staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Iquique and visiting this beautiful part of Chile.

I love the location. Large room okay breakfast. But they have a rooftop bar en restaurant. Every thing you need for a hotel. I did try out some more hotels up north in chili. But most others miss the charme and are only functional. But I love after a long day or just after dinner to settle down in the bar of a hotel with a drink where it is Cousy and friendly.

Excellent buffet breakfast, helpful staff, comfortable and spacious rooms. A swimming pool with a wonderful view.

We weren't expecting much after reading the reviews but c'mon! It's been the best one among hotels I've stayed in Iquique. Some travelers wrote this hotel was located in unsafe area. WRONG! Spark Express is located in the corner of Juan Martinez and Manuel Rodriguez and these are very well known streets in this city. It's a residencial area but has many restaurants and markets nearby. And just 10min walk to Cavancha Beach and the city center. I really think the location is perfect! The staffs at the front desk speak really good english and they are very well trained. Upon check-in, they informed us about the breakfast hours, WI-FI use, how to call up the fron desk... seriously, we had nothing to ask and it was great! We booked a double bed and the room we stayed in(#409) was spacious! Some reviewers mentioned that the rooms were small and views weren't good enough and we really suspected if they had stayed at the same hotel . Breakfast buffet was nice and had bread, yogurt, cereals, turkey, ham, cheese, sausages, eggs, torta, coffee, orange juice, apple juice and milk. What else do we need right? Overall, Spark Express Hotel was awesome! I never expected this good service when paying just $60(USD) per night!

Located 6 short blocks from the beach. 7-10 minutes on foot. Our room #704 for three people (3 single beds) was clean and spacious. The bathroom was clean. The shower could use some additional attention in the corners of the tile wall (where discoloration in the grout between the tile could be solved with some bleach) which gives an impression of mold (which it is not). Our room had a panoramic view out the windows of the coast. Free parking in the hotel's enclosed parking lot across the street. Also, reliable free WIFI. Good Chilean-style breakfast. We would stay there again.

This would have to be the best hotel we've stayed at in our 7 weeks so far in South America. The price is mid range but you get good value for your money. The location is good being a 10 to 15min walk from the local bus station (next to the market) where you can get busses to Humberstone, a 10 to 15min walk to the beach and boardwalk and about the same to Baquedano Street and the main square. The rooms are modern, clean and warm and are serviced daily as you'd expect. Beds are comfortable, rooms have a kettle and hair dryer. Bathroom are a reasonable size and yes there's hot water in the shower and basin, which is not common in low to mid range hotels in South America. Breakfast is a nice buffet as well.

Sparks Express was more than I expected. After a long bus ride from Calama, it was the perfect hotel to sit back and relax in. It´s only a few blocks from the beach, the staff is incredibly helpful, and you can even walk to downtown (20 or so minutes). The rooms are clean and comfortable and breakfast is great as well.

Excellent breakfast buffet, super value for money considering this is a tourist area. Walking distance to beach. Ask for higher floor, not as noisy from road traffic. Air conditioned and WiFi, cable TV. Some desk staff speak English.

I always stay at this hotel in Iquique because the location is excellent--just opposite the Playa Brava--and it is a good value for the money. I also always pay a bit extra for the beach view at the front of the hotel, which is worth the price although it can be a bit noisy with the drive-by traffic. The lack of restaurant is a drawback but they have worked hard to provide food options, including a snack bar on the premises and delivery service from several nearby restaurants. Also, there is a take-out pizza place and a very well-stocked mini-market with good prices right next door at the gas station. The staff has always been courteous and friendly, and the patio/pool area is a delight to sit in.

The hotel is very well located, has a beautiful sea view, is near to the Baquedano street and the center of Iquique and in walking distance to the Cavancha beach and the mall. Employees were very friendly. The parking is good and shaded. Rooms were spacious and the view outstanding. The pool is nice and has sea view. Breakfast was also good.

We really enjoyed our stay in hotel Gavina, very nice hotel with great facilities. The views from the hotel were fantastic, we had a lovely sea view from our room and the breakfast area in particular had stunning views of the ocean waves. The staff were great, especially one lady whose name I didn't properly catch (Vivianne I believe?) who was lovely and very helpful. The location was also great, close to some very nice beaches and also right beside a street that had several nice pubs and restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

We loved this hotel so much that we extended twice! It was easily the best accommodation we’ve stayed at so far during almost one month in Chile. The ocean view from our room on the 6th floor was amazing. The room was bright, modern and cleaned daily. Big comfy bed. Included breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. Easy walking distance to Cavancha beach or the historic centre. Basically everything exceeded our expectations for the price. The hotel has an arrangement with mining staff who stay there frequently, but it didn’t bother us at all.

Location was very close to the beach and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and nice. Breakfast was good. Rooms were basic, but very clean. Great value for the hotel. I would stay here again.

After a long drive from San Pedro the first impressions of Iquique were not so positive: a busy, noisy, not too clean port city. Fortunately, the hotel is located outside of this bustle in a neat neighborhood on the beach. They don't have much parking space for such a high tower. Fortunately there was still room in their small underground parking garage. The reception at the reception was smooth, friendly and in English. We were given a room on the 8th floor. Our first impression was "WOW". A spacious suite consisting of a room with a large double bed, terrace and flat screen, a separate sitting area with sofa, desk and another flat screen and a bathroom with shower, sink, bidet and toilet. Unfortunately, the shower faucet did not work. The technician came by quickly but could not solve the problem. The very friendly clerk at the reception apologized to us and promised an upgrade on the top floor. However, this room was exactly the same size, with an equally large bed, a larger terrace and a more spacious shower, but without a sitting area. I would not really speak of an upgrade here, but well, the problem with the shower was solved and the view was grandiose. We have eaten in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious. Also the breakfast the next day was as it should be.

This is my first response ever to staying at a hotel that i have reserved with Expedia. The hotel staff were very nice, this is from the front entrance, the resturant all the way to the cleaning staff. I must admit as we were arriving to the hotel we wondered if the place would be nice. But it was perfect, right next to the beach, great resturants and a friendly atmosphere.

I love it! the best ocean view, facilities, people there, foods, everything is so good! If you are looking for a nice place to stay in Inuique, this is perfect!

Beautiful hostel in a prime location (10 min walk to Playa Cavancha and to the city center). The manager was very friendly, the bathroom was quite modern (proper shower without a curtain) and everything was spotless clean. I can only recommend this place!

A/C worked well as did wifi. Breakfast was decent with scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, fruit, cereal etc. Coffee, however, was instant Nescafe but it was available all the time.

the breakfast was superb, variety and abundance. You could see into the kitchen, half the wall was an open window , how clean was eveything and the kindness of the kitchen staff!!absolutely perfect .

The facilites are new and room was comfortable. The guy in charge was very attentive. The room has all what you need 100% recommendable.

The atmosphere. It is really nice and produces good memories as of you were at home.

The staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was spectacular. Little kitchen worked well for our purposes. Very comfortable beds. Amazing hot water and shower pressure. Everything very clean and nice. A couple markets nearby (the staff pointed us in the right direction). Obviously, very close to the beach. Not far from the bus station either, which was nice. WiFi worked very well. Great place! We kept extending our stay :)

The Iquique Beachfront Hotel has the best location, right across the street from the beach and two nice restaurants. The beach has a new, good working order outside exercise area with ample equipment. Store 4 blocks and coffee shop around the corner. We especially liked being able to use the outdoor kitchen. We had meals outside which was fun. Lastly, the owner-operator, Miguel, is very helpful, provides details and speaks Spainish and English. We had a good Christmas Holiday on the beach.

Great location, our room was nice and quiet, everythings was super clean, the superb beach is 30secs away, breakfast is good and he has secure parking.

LOCATION is the best part of this property. This is my second time staying here. If you have a large party you will save money, for just couples might not be the best option. Doña Sonia whom is the housekeeper and the person in charge of everything is very sweet and accommodating. The owner Miguel is also very nice, and on top of things. I forgot something he messaged me right away to let me know. There is a refrigerator and a kitchen area available so you can prepare food or snacks. Cavancha beach is just across the street. You have a supermarket nearby, and plenty of food options. Room was cleaned every day and provided fresh towels. Breakfast its basic, toast, tea, or instant coffee, a sweet option like cookies to complement with toast, cheese , and marmalade. Love the cats!

Since we had never been to Iquique, we went to the touristic section on Playa Cavancha and stayed in Spark Hotel for two nights. The over all impression of this hotel is very good and they have certainly the international comfort of a reputable hotel: excellent beds, beautiful views of the ocean, great and towels and toiletries, bilingual staff and a decent breakfast.....I say decent only because they need to work on the american coffee a lot. It had the taste and look of a coffee made by a person that does not make american coffee. Fortunately, across the street from the hotel, I found a small BUT above average, fully stock coffee shop...problem solved. My mom and I walked up and down the beach to the nearer restaurants, Baquedano Strip and stores without any problems. I am a runner so I took advantage of the perfect weather to run on the beach early in the morning and IT WAS A TREAT. The advantage of that....

At one time this was a premier place to stay in Iquique. It is now an older hotel showing some of its age but still a good place to stay because it is in a prime location a block from Playa Cavancha. We stayed 4 nights. Easy walk to Plaza Prat. All rooms have ocean view. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms.and okay bathroom. Safe, refrgerator, hot water kettle, and A/C in room. Typical breakfast. No on site restaurant but six great ones less than ablock away. Limited parking underneath hotel. Wifi was erratic with poor connection speeds. Staff friendly and helpful most with limited English.

From outside, the building doesn't look very nice. But the rooms are very decent, good space. Amazing view on the sea. Breakfast is ok but not incredible, coffee especially. Staff very friendly and serious. A bit of noise in the morning as the cleaning ladies coordinate their work with loud walkie-talkies. But overall ok. The japanese restaurant in the hotel is very good and good value too. The hotel is ideally located close to nice restaurants and to the beach, of course. I defintely will come back.

I visited Iquique last week, it was awesome place. I got the room with sea view. Hotel is located close to Beach. Hotel rooms are very good and well maintained. And breakfast is awesome. Enjoyed the break fast with sea view. Totally nice hotel to stay in Iquique. Its better to take room with sea view.

Stayed two nights. A little worn but very comfortable and good location near the beach and some decent restaurants. Good shopping centre 15 mins walk. Would not hesitate to stay here again. WiFi is not so good in the rooms but ok in lobby and breakfast area. Staff very helpful.

Good location , a 20 minute walk from the main square. The room was large (it was described as a suite but only had a bedroom and bathroom). The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. There were great views of the beach and the sea.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I don’t speak Spanish but everyone either spoke English or were happy to use google translate. Epic value. Great corner room with a sea view twelve stories up. Great place to stay

Really friendly, helpful staff. Everywhere was regularly cleaned throughout the day. Bunk beds were comfortable - don’t worry about the 3 tiers, they have plenty of headroom. Curtains are a bonus. Good wifi. Clean, warm showers. Recommended!

Everything, I think is one of the best hostel I've ever visit. •Toilet and showers are: many, big, clean with music and shower gel included, •The kitchen is amazing, plenty of space for many people to cook at the same time, many sinks, many electric fire place, tons of crockery for everyone to use, • The room are big, the bunk beds are handcrafted created to give you space for your bags in a private locker, a light at night, electric socket and privacy with a curtain that completely isolates you from the room. • the common areas are both indoors and outdoors ( where you can smoke) the WiFi is strong all over the hostel

I really enjoyed my stay in Iquique Sun. The hosts Domingo and his wife Solidar are very nice , kind and helpful persons. I spended a few days over christmas in Iquique and they were so kind to invite me for christmas eve and dinner. It was such a nice experience. Thank you again! The location is very good and everything is walkabel. Everything is kept very well and clean. Playa Cavanche is just a 5 minute walk. Very close you find also some Minimarkets you can buy everything for your needs. I can totally recommend this place to stay! Btw, just around the corner is a small restaurant called "Kekos". You will see the sign with the daily offer out on the street. They serve a pretty good daily menu for only 4.000 CHP. Also very recommendable.

Location is excellent, only 3 blocks from the main beach. Host Domingo and his wife Soledad were excellent. Domingo took us for a drive to his favourite lookout and also drove us to the airport cheaper than the taxi. Restaurants a few minutes walk away. Not 5 star but it was the cheapest hotel this close to the beach and was great value.

The kindness of Domingo and his family and staff is priceless. We had an extremely positive experience in this place. The location is perfect, close to the beach, restaurant area and supermarkets.

This is a very affordable option for people who want a private bedroom (not a dormitory), within walking distance of Cavancha Beach and downtown Iquique, and for people who want a place with a kitchen. It was not a 5 star hotel by any means, but the owner was extremely friendly, the bed was extremely clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and the bathrooms were very clean. I would stay here again. The bathrooms and kitchen were shared, but the bedroom I stayed in was private. The building has free wifi, although the signal was not strong in my room. The cable TV was great in my room and I enjoyed falling asleep to National Geographic.

The people running the place were very helpful. I was charged the correct dollar to peso conversion, as my booking was in dollars. The son of the owners spoke really good English which was a great bonus. I liked the communal area where you could sit, have a coffee or tea etc. The location is not far from the beach and it can even be walked. The location of the place itself is in a pretty working class, non glamorous part of the city, but this is to be expected if you look at the price of the place. They also stored me bag for me after I checked out, which was nice as well.
