Located on quiet alley in historic district. 1/2 block walk to shops and tea houses. Was convenient for our “Evening with a Geisha” performance. Area very quiet in the evening, but we were able to find a good local cafe for dinner. Staff friendly. Facilités clean and modern. Good breakfast.

This ryokan was more than we hoped for. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay an extra night. The taxi ride from the train station was not long. The accommodation is very inconspicuous in the Higashi Chaya district. What a lovely area to stay! So much to see in this magical area - shops, restaurants, residences. The bus stop is not far, where one can ride to see the famous Kenroku-en Gardens. The Omichō Fish Market is walkable from the ryokan and also worth a visit. The accommodations were lovely and so comfortable. The king size bed in our room was so comfy, as were the futons. Plenty of space for 4. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, enough, but not too much. Coffee, tea, juice, yogurt with fruit and a croissant. The staff (one woman who spoke excellent English!) was so kind and accommodating. If this is available during your stay, do not hesitate to reserve. You will not regret it!

Our room was well organized with two separate sleeping rooms. This was the only hotel where the kids (boys 8 & 6) and me and my husband were able to sleep in separate rooms. The center of the room had a table, kitchen and storage closet, which allowed us to organize our things. We were able to store our luggage under our bed, which was great to have it out of the way. The ceilings were fairly tall and the various textures used throughout the decoration made it very soothing. The bathroom was clean and the shower/ bath tub area was nicely sized. The water pressure was great. The staff was extremely helpful and spoke English very well. The breakfast is made fresh for each guest and it is a tasty continental breakfast. The location is magical. It's so nice to be able to step out into an Edo period neighborhood.

Everything was perfect. The apartment was huge and had all the necessary amenities. The area, although touristy during the day, was always very quiet and noise-free. At night, it was very quiet and peaceful and there were lots of restaurants nearby. Everything was very clean, and the staff was super friendly.

It's me and my husband's first time in Kanazawa city and our stay couldn't be any better! Our room is spacious with natural lighting and you can see the beautiful Chaya district right outside your window. All amenities and appliances we're very helpful and you have everything you need. It's like your house outside your own home. Also, the breakfast was really delicious! It has the right elements of a healthy breakfast. Thank you to all of friendly UTAIMACHI staff who made us feel so welcomed and made sure our stay was pleasant. I'm definitely recommending this place to my family and friends.

In the room the beds were big and comfortable, and there were plenty of good quality sinks, toilets and showers nearby. Also lots of space for luggage and even a whole hanger rail for clothes! The kitchen was also very spacious and clean and had all the facilities needed for cooking. The communal areas were really big and had a nice social but relaxed feel. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and it was an easy place to socialise and make friends if you wanted, but it was also never too loud outside of these areas. Good location right next to a family mart, and 10 minute walk from central parks, shops, restaurants, museums etc Big perk is the bike rental for ¥500 which is the cheapest we’ve seen in Japan! Definitely recommend getting one and cycling along the river and even to the beach if you have time.

Super friendly and helpful staff who had great recommendations for places to visit and delicious restaurants nearby! The rooms were incredibly clean, the bed very comfy and spacious and the bathroom was immaculate. Also, as a woman travelling alone, it felt very safe. I found the location to be great, really nearby a lot of the stuff I wanted to see and otherwise great transport links. I cannot recommend it enough!

A truly amazing hostel! The best kitchen we have ever had at a hostel (with free tea & coffee), extremely friendly and helpful staff, convenient and cheap laundry facilities, clean bathrooms and very cosy, comfortable dorm beds for couples (2 people). We highly recommend visiting the beautiful (and not too crowded) city of Kanazawa and staying at this hostel is a must!

K’s house is run by such lovely people that it makes you feel really at home from the moment you arrive. They were very nice, welcoming and also helpful with recommendations. The hostel is on a very quiet and pleasant street that I don’t think I would have stumbled upon had I not stayed there, with very nice coffee shops and small izakayas. The room was very clean and comfortable, as were the facilities.

Amazing hostel with the kindest and helpful staff. They were so so nice. The commun area is cozy. The rooms and facilities are more than clean. Located near the river, beautiful for walk. A bus goes directly from Kanazawa station, very convenient. One of the best hostel I stayed. Highly recommended.

The creative interiors of Shiki Seasonal Colours were warm and welcoming. Not too far from the train station/shops and a very comfy apartment combining traditional and modern. The lift was welcome and the comments book a welcome touch. Loved having the washing machine and ability to dry clothes in the wet room. Beds were comfy with big fluffy doonas, good pillows and good sized and quality towels. The skin care products were a bonus thank you. Will definitely recommend and make a return visit. Thank you for making my stay in Kanazawa such a happy one.

The best hotel in Japan so far from our trip. Spacious, quiet, comfortable and easy to check in/out of. The staff at the Hotel Kanazawa were very kind, and we were never disturbed at all. Absolutely amazing stay.

A clean & spacious apartment with a large bathroom that comes with the option of clothes drying on the fan (a big plus to dry our laundry). It's less than 10 min walk from Kanazawa Station and located on a quiet street. Hotel Kanazawal is happy to keep our luggage after checking out.

Very comfortable accommodation, East meet West. Sofa and European beds. Kitchen table and chairs Oriental. Modern apartment, easy to use, very quiet. We loved the aircon and washing machine, as we stayed during a very hot autumn. Relatively close walking distance to the station. Easy and fast to order Uber or Taxi too. We also liked that suitcases can be stored at a hotel nearby the station.

Everything about this apartment was well sorted. It's a small building with two apartments only in 2LDK configuration. Very spacious for a Japanese apartment, spotlessly clean, futons were excellent with comforters. Very comfortable stay with young kids. Excellent shower and bathroom facilities. Would definitely stay here again!

Mon Petit Chat was clean, spacious and well appointed. The staff was friendly and very responsive. We loved the messages each morning with suggestions of things to do each day based on the weather. Very nice personal touch.

金沢の滞在中に大地震があった。 チェックインした部屋が地震で水漏れ等の影響があったが、スタッフの方がすぐに空きの部屋で地震の影響があるかチェックして、部屋替えをしてくれた。 金沢のご馳走がある店はもちろん、周囲のコンビニも空いていなかったため水分と食料の心配もあったが、スタッフの方がホテル内の自動販売機を紹介してくれて助かった。 余震もあり一晩不安な夜を過ごしたが、スタッフの方の丁寧な対応で安心した。 連泊する予定だったが、不安もあり翌朝帰った。 金沢にまた行こうと思う。

Comfortable, neat and clean. Kitchenette near the room was great. Optional breakfast was tasty. Showers were hot and the water pressure was strong!

The location looks exactly like the photos, the check in is easy and the room is spacious and comfortable. It is a good way to experience the traditional houses in a quiet place. The neighbouring area is full of izakayas and other restaurants, it was a really nice stay.

This is my favorite place that we stayed in during our time in Japan. I loved the garden room, the complimentary tea and amenities, and the clear instructions on how to use everything. It was very quiet while we were there in late May, and the remote check in was very easy. Everything was perfectly clean and beautifully organized. You can access the train station in 20 min on the bus, and many of the main attractions and good restaurants are within 20 min walk.

We had a great time at the Saik accommodation in Kanazawa. We received a friendly welcome, communication was great, the room and beds were traditional. The bus stops close to the accommodation, there is a supermarket nearby, the breakfast was delicious and lovingly packaged, there were free cosmetics and umbrellas for rainy weather. We would love to come back.

Booked a night at the KKR Hotel Kanazawa last minute as I hadn't planned on staying in town overnight. Terrific decision to do so. The room was large by any city standards (I travel all over the place) especially Japan. Had two full sized beds and a living room area with sofa. Very unusual for Japanese hotels. And very comfortable. It wasn't in the thick of all the other hotels but still close enough to walk to sights. Being across the street from the Kanazawa Castle Park it was super quiet which was exactly what I needed. In the morning it was lovely to get out and stroll through the park before the hotel breakfast. I would say the breakfast is ok value for the money but frankly I'd go out and grab something from the Omicho Market next time which is very close by. There's a lovely cafe on the park 3 minutes away called Kanazawaya Coffee Shop with outdoor seating and really amazing coffee. If you're looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy the castle and gardens and all that Kanazawa has to offer this is a perfect location.

Excellent location opposite the Castle Park and close to other tourist sites including the stunning Kenrokuen Garden. I paid a little extra for a park view room on the top floor which I think was worth it. The hotel is modern with a good sized restaurant that faces the park. The buffet breakfast was excellent.

The rooms were clean and spacious in a great location- walking distance to the castle and Ken Roshu gardens- not far from the geisha district. Staff was friendly and breakfast was pretty good.

This hotel is very close to Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen, so it was convenient for sightseeing. You can see Kanazawa Castle from the window, so you can enjoy a beautiful view during the illumination period. The breakfast was also very delicious, and I was very grateful for the complimentary Kaga Bou tea. This time it was only one night, but next time I definitely want to stay two nights or more and enjoy sightseeing for a long time. Thank you.

The location was really good to see Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenroku-En. Both of two tourist attractions are setting special time that we can enter for free in early morning. I enjoyed taking a walk and could take lots of good photos in those parks. Besides, there is a large market near the hotel and it takes about seven minutes by walk. We can enjoy fresh local foods there and some of restaurants open from at seven, so I could taste delicious local fish from early morning!

Staying at Hotel Kanazawa Zoushi was an absolute dream! From the moment I stepped into the beautifully designed space, I felt like I had entered a haven of tranquility and elegance. The traditional touches, combined with modern comforts, created an atmosphere that was both charming and luxurious. The staff were exceptional—attentive, friendly, and always going above and beyond to ensure every aspect of the stay was perfect. Their warm hospitality truly made me feel at home. The room was spotless and tastefully decorated, showcasing a perfect blend of Japanese aesthetics and contemporary style. Breakfast at the hotel was a highlight! The locally sourced ingredients offered a delicious start to the day. Every bite felt like a celebration of Kanazawa's rich culinary heritage. The location of the hotel was another big plus. Being situated close to Kanazawa's historic districts and key attractions made exploring the city so convenient. Yet, the peaceful ambiance of the hotel offered a wonderful retreat after a day of sightseeing. If you're looking for an authentic and memorable experience in Kanazawa, I can't recommend Hotel Kanazawa Zoushi enough. It exceeded all expectations and left me with cherished memories that I will treasure forever. I can’t wait to return!

The staff is so friendly, it’s immaculately clean, the beds are so fluffy and so comfortable, the rooms are functional, the shower and automatic toilets are wonderful. And the day clothing is so comfortable! The location cannot be better, on a quiet pedestrian street but near all the action and sites. The breakfast was fantastic! The coffee makers were above average as was the local coffee beans. They have access to clean water, milk, juice, coffee, tea, 24/7. It’s the closest you can feel to your own home!!

Great location and easy walk from the station. Beautiful boutique hotel, comfortable room, amazing bathroom with separate controls to heat the shower/tub area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And make you feel like a welcomed guest. When you enter the hotel you are in the lobby lounge where they serve breakfast and evening noodles and where you can help yourself to tea, coffee and juice any time. It’s a relaxing spot and the japanese breakfast is a highlight of our trip. It is a set breakfast that they vary if you stay multiple nights. I highly recommend this hotel. This is the type of hotel you will remember. It’s not just somewhere to sleep. It’s an experience.

After staying in much larger hotels earlier in our trip, this was a welcome respite! Small but very nice! We were warmly welcomed after our short walk from the train station. Our room was beautiful and comfortable and the bathroom area was very nice and modern while the room decor was more traditional. We had room slippers and bathroom slippers. The bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent with great water pressure! Pajamas provided were comfortable. Drinks in the room were included in price…including beer, soda. We really enjoyed the udon service at 8pm especially after just arriving. It was delicious. Breakfast can be reserved for an extra modest fee. It is Japanese style and we had it on our final morning. A great way to start the day. Beverages are always available in the lobby…coffee, tea, juice. Location of the hotel was on a quiet street just off the Main Street to the station. It was a quick walk to the Omicho Market. There are konbinis nearby as well as Starbucks and Mr. Donut. When we checked out we were given a personal thank you note and gift! Such a nice touch!

This hotel is on a quiet side street, close to Omichi market. Hotel has a list of recommended places to eat and helped us make reservation for the most delicious sushi dinner we had. There is a recommended ramen place 2 minutes walk from the hotel, which was very good. We stayed for three nights and booked their breakfast. The breakfast was different everyday for the three days, all delicious traditional Japanese food. Free coffee and juice throughout the day. Their mango juice is so refreshing after coming back from a day of sight seeing in July. Even though they do not have laundry facilities, the shower room have cloth drying function and there is a cloth drying rack. We hand washed our cloth and left them in the shower room, turned on the drying function and our clothes were dry in less than 3 hours.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Check-in was easy and pleasant. Friendly and professional service. Very convenient location. Our room was wonderful with a garden view. The bed was very comfortable, spacious bathroom with excellent products. Loved the tub especially. I want a Toto toilet! Omg! Have you heard about breakfast? It’s amazing. So elegant…so many choices to please palates from all over the world. Go early!!! Have the French toast and a glass of bubbles. Easy walk to the Omicho fish market where we had sushi every single day. Nice walk to the castle and gardens. The concierge arranged a taxi and a dinner reservation for us at an excellent steak restaurant. There’s a great knife store just around the corner for fabulous gifts…Byakko Knives.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sanraku Kanazawa. The hotel feels very new and stylish, with a warm atmosphere. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with excellent beds and a beautiful bathroom. The breakfast buffet was outstanding – honestly the best breakfast we had on our entire trip, with both Japanese and Western choices of very high quality. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful: I had forgotten my cap in a restaurant and they organized everything so I could get it back – that deserves special praise. The location is also perfect, just a short walk to Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen Garden. A wonderful base to explore the city. Highly recommended!

A luxurious and beautiful hotel. Large room (almost American size) with wonderful amenities and lovely garden view. Delicious food offerings in the restaurant and bar. The bartenders are basically artists when creating your drink, as ever cocktail is perfect in every way. In the evening, there was first a violinist and later a pianist to enjoy. The breakfast buffet should not be missed.

The hotel is a small one hence is not crazily crowded at the front desk during check in out nor rowdy. The rooms are tastefully appointed and spacious for Japanese standard. The amenities are all awesome from the bathroom to WC to kitchen and beds are super comfortable. Free Netflix in each room is another absolute plus. Hotel is about 10 to 15mins walk from Kanazawa station. Like to give a big shout out for a very attentive staff Kana. She has been very helpful and very attentive to us. She made a dinner reservation for us at a restaurant and noticed our kids were still in the hotel at the time of our dinner reservation and quickly contacted us to confirm the dinner reservation if she got it booked on the wrong date. So attentive and observant. This type of service staff is truly amazing and short in supply.

Excellent staff - friendly and helpful at every turn, well though out, highly functional room for families (room divider actually limits sound, light, toilet separate from sink / bathtub etc. access to bathroom, washer, bathroom heat, fan, feature that dries clothes automatic fill bathtub) Staff were engaging and helpful with everything from recommendations for dinner, to a ride to dinner and the station upon departure, help making coffee, toast etc. for breakfast. Grocery store a 5 min walk, close to train station. Great stay all around.

Simple but delicious breakfast of bread and coffee was available, enough to start the day. They were kind to pick us from the train station when we arrived and send us there when we checked out. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped to make dinner reservations, sent us to our dinner place, arranged for our luggage forwarding and gave us suggestions for dinner at our next destination after leaving Kanazawa!

It was wonderful to have a hotel offering a family room (able to separate sides of the room with sliding doors). Space for everyone. Washing machine and laundry hanging space. Kitchenette. Convenient location only a short walk from the station, and easy able to head out for dinner, and wander or bus into town. Affordable on-site parking if required. While it’s largely ‘serviced apartment’ style accommodation, reception staff are available through the day, and we’re always friendly. Somehow we never took advantage of the coffee, breakfast items and snacks on offer at reception. Of our holiday, it was my son’s favourite accommodation!

Modern hotel with all the personal touches of a ryokan eg loungewear provided for indoor use and Japanese/Western breakfast offered, therefore the best of both worlds. Extra touches including 24-hour access to non alcoholic drinks eg coffee/tea/juices. Free noodles offered between 9-11pm in beautiful lounge/bar area where we had a trio of sake tasting. Accommodation was large with fantastic wet room with jacuzzi bath which was very welcome after a long day. Very modern and clean facilities eg dyson hairdryer. Last but certainly not least, the staff were very welcoming and always greeted us with a smile.

We stayed at the Uan hotel in January 2025, our first time in Kanazawa and highly recommend this hotel. Facilities include a clothes washing room with 2 easy to operate machines, a large reception lounge area and its own sake bar. At 9pm they offer guests a free bowl of yummy soba noodles and many people take advantage of this. It’s very well located about 4 minutes walk from the main food market and also close to one of Japans most famous gardens. We did not catch a bus or a train once in our stay as we could easily walk to restaurants and attractions. The train station is 15 mins walk. The staff at the hotel is what really made our stay in Kanazawa. They were all friendly and helpful but Izumi at reception spoke perfect English and was very helpful making restaurant reservations and was even proactive in suggesting things to do and places to see. She went above and beyond really helped us get the most out of our time in Kanazawa.

We had a Superior Twin, with terrace and found it to be a good size, well laid out, quiet and very comfortable. Location wise, it's about a 20 min walk from the station. It is situated well for seeing the local highlights. Do also checkout Kourin sushi which is nearby but booking is recommended. The whole team were very helpful and friendly. They offer free noodles after 9pm in the bar area. We also made use of the free umbrellas! We didn't try the breakfast or saki tasting... There are washing machines on site and they have a small gym. We would definitely stay here again.

Very spacious room, perfectly clean, comfy bed, very helpful and friendly staff, the two options of breakfast were really good, the bathroom with hot tub was perfect. The location is good, there’s a bus station not far from the hotel, the train station is not too far from the hotel, l and the market is also very near.

Compact modern apartment with comfortable beds and with everything you need. It was possible to drop our luggage after 11am. Only 5-10 minutes from Kanazawa station and near convenient store and restaurants. Kanazawa is a walkable city and had a very comfortable stay.

Everything. Its really value for money. Clean, cozy, comfortable, convenient, its a perfect 2-night stay in this hotel. For sure will stay here again when we visit Kanazawa next time.😀

The room is amazing. It's spacious, clean, and has everything, they even provide pajama for the guest. The bathroom is very spacious, it has large bathub. They provide complete amenities, including face cleansing! Suitable for long stay since it has washing machine including the drying option, best! The kitchen also equipped with oven toaster, microwave, and all the cooking utilities. Location also not quite close from Kanazawa station.

An excellent option for a group - very spacious with all the important elements provided. The room was huge, and we even had a dining space, a Japanese tatami room, a kitchen, and a very spacious bathroom. I'd always choose this place for its family-friendly design, a great location for Kanazawa station, as well as a pleasant stroll to other central places in Kanazawa.

Tidy and very comfortable apartment with everything to feel as home; kitchen, laundry with washing/dry machine and toilet separated from shower/bath tab, good for a family. The beds and the futons were comfortable and the decoration beautiful with a nice, small balcony. Very warm environment with Japanese style! I would like to book the place again🙂

Well designed, clean and quiet facilities, excellent staff, comfortable rooms and relaxing baths, delicious breakfast, convenient location to visit a diversity of Kanazawa's many points of interests. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Kanazawa! Probably the most relaxing hotel experience of my trip.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, quiet and very comfortable. I had a Japanese King room which was very spacious with a nice tatami seating area. I used the public bath every day which was amazing, a really beautiful space. Breakfast was delicious and huge, and I ate in the restaurant one night. It was an incredible meal, and they were kind enough to accommodate my pescatarian diet. Highly recommend trying it. The location of the hotel is great, right across the road from Omicho market and you can walk easily to the castle, gardens and other areas, as well as the station. I would definitely stay here again, such good value for money for such a beautiful place. I loved it.

Simplicity, Japanese style with everything you could want including self service laundry, ice maker, microwaves, gorgeous stone indoor pure water Onsen and traditional Japanese washing approach and facilities. Lovely luxury washing products and facial creams. Japanese pyjamas and slipper shoes, delicious Japanese many courses breakfast, excellent location opposite Omicho market (1minute walk). You can check how busy it is on the onsen based in hotel Computer system using QR code on your tv. Very clever. Old style simplicity using modern technology. Very secure hotel card entry system. Very safe low crime area. All staff were kind, helpful, welcoming and discrete. We loved our room - thank you!

SOKI was so clean, relaxing, and lovely. The staff were so friendly and helpful! Regretfully we didn’t have time to use the onsen, but it smelled sooo good even from the lobby! Definitely make use of it. Bed was very comfortable. I liked all of the eco-friendly efforts made by the hotel. Very close to Omicho market for breakfast and walking distance from other sights.

The minimalist and user friendly design were exceptional. Friendly and helpful staff who are very attentive. The air-con was quiet and the beddings and blankets were comfortable. Conveniently located. There was a line at the public bath after 8pm as there were only 5 showers. But overall the stay was very pleasant and definitely recommend it
