Wonderful stay. I got a room upgrade that made my stay even better. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and inclusive. The restaurant staff were nice enough to accommodate my dietary requirements. The room was clean and had air conditioning. The gym was nicely equipped and open until late.

Spotlessly clean. Brilliant, polite courteous staff and that includes every single member of staff that we encountered Our room was upgraded and we were so grateful. Beautiful breakfast. Highly recommended and we will return again definitely. We loved the Christmas decorations and Nativity scenes. Thank you.

Excellent location, very close to the Belgium border with plenty of hiking trails to be found. An amazing fitness room with just about every training station available. The staff was super friendly and very attentive.

Thank you so much for that - we are not taking it for granted. The rooms are uniquely positioned so you can’t hear any noise from other facilities. * The location is great. Easily accessible by public transportation - direct bus from Maastricht. The nearby city Valkenburg is charming and has a lot to offer in terms of food, history and tourist attractions. * The fact that this spa uses real thermal water. * Price/value if you book in advance.

The room is spacious, modern and clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast is good enough and especially the different granolas were delicious. We really enjoyed the saunas, swimming area and massages we took (Lomi Lomi and Lotus). Staff is regularly checking on sauna status, ensuring that all remain up to quality / get refreshed as needed.

Location is great and everything has a very luxurious atmosphere. The sideways down going elevator is, in my opinion, already a mini attraction (really wish it would go further down, perhaps to a cave cafe, just an idea). Bathtub in the room but of course, with excess to the spa facilities, it was not needed. Breakfast buffet with everything imaginable, from healthy yogurt, fruits, crackers, buns, rolls, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, delis, cheeses, to croissants, pasties, coffees, teas, fresh juices etc. etc. If it wasn’t so expensive, we would be going more often for a weekend or so.

When you stay overnight as a guest you receive towel, bathrobe and slippers, and you can use the massage chairs as much as you can. Room was big, comfy bed and we had a nice balcony. Breakfast was good but go early to avoid crowdedness. Amenities were good, spacious and even with many guests you can find places to be quiet, for example the relaxation room under the solarium its great to read a book or sleep. If you stay over for only one night, the other day you can leave all your belongings inside a locker and enjoy until late, they have showers, changing room spaces, so with this option we enjoyed two days. They have various spa options (check the cabins outside too). You can bring a bottle of water and fill it up there, you can bring it with you to many places to keep hydrated. Our stay was during the mixed-day (as of the calendar), therefore in the pool people were wearing swimwear and inside the saunas people were naked. It was not very clear to us during this mixed-day if inside the saunas we could or not wear swimwear (as everyone was naked). Don't get me wrong, it was a nice experience (you can be with the towel all the time but with no swimwear).

It was the second time that my husband and I stayed at this hotel and, like the first time, our experience was great. We had a small problem with our jacuzzi, but they were very solicitous and polite about our complaint. They solved it quickly and with a lot of kindness. We'll definitely be back again

Perfectly situated within five minutes walk of the centre, we found the hotel to be immaculate in all areas. The room was clean and tidy, and meticulously kept clean by housekeeping each day, with fantastic shower and facilities. The hotel bar is well stocked, and breakfast is good and well presented. Staff are the standouts: helpful, friendly, and always ready to provide local knowledge and guidance. An easy 10/10!

Spacious, luxurious apartment in the city centre, great bathroom and little garden to sit. Friendly staff and also it's great that you can park next to the hotel. Breakfast was tasty as well, although you also have many restaurants nearby who serve breakfast.

We loved everything:) The spa bath was wonderful and room was cozy yet spacious. The breakfast was so fresh and lots of options and the location is perfect to explore valkenburg.

Restaurant was fantastic, lovely easter menu with a nice balance with local produce. Also we had a matching whine paring menu with it. Looking forward also to try their a la carte menu. This hotel has a lovely spa and pool what you can us to relax during your stay or after exploring the surroundings around the hotel. Staff are super friendly and welcoming.

Originally, I was looking at this as a stop on the way home. Then a friend suggested some events we could see locally so I ended up booking 4 nights. I hadnt considered the "Wellness spa" aspect but it did mean that it had an indoor pool which we used several times. The room was lovely. Although I was a bit bemused by the bathroom having a glass door. It had a balcony which gave us some great views over the local countryside. Food was great. We tended to go for the set menu options as we found them just right for us. Location meant it was away from noise and traffic. Very restful.

We loved the house, it was lovely. The staff were nice and the location is beautiful. It was what we were looking for to accommodate our large group while passing through this part of Europe with cars. The breakfast was also very nice. Good value and lovely area. We had 12 people in our group.

It's a basic hotel so if you don't have crazy expectations you'll be happy with it. The room wasn't huge but it has a big cupboard and a desk and the bathroom is really big. Just maybe clean a little better behind some corners. The breakfast was included in the room and even though it is also very average it is a good additional value especially because around there we haven't seen any place for a quick bite, so it's good to have something to eat before you go out. The staff was polite and attentive more than I expected them to be in a remote place with people probably not so used to foreigners. A bit far from valkenburg the place we wanted to visit but there's transport or you can walk it in half an hour. Overall a solid 8 maybe I wouldn't come back just because I'd try to book something closer to valkenburg next time but if you need to be around there go for it. Only be mindful there's no staff overnight even though you are provided with an emergency number in case something happens. We were there just one night and it was quite peaceful with nothing to complain about.

The breakfast was very good, but it is better to go in the beginning of the service to get everything fresh and all the options. The beds were comfortable and the room was very silent during the night. The elevator was out of order, and because we got the room on the 3rd floor this was a little annoying. The shower cleaning should be improved.Overall a good experience for the price and location.

The room was luxurious, clean and very well styled.. we really enjoyed the jacuzzi in the room. We explored Valkenburg by foot because everything was in walking distance from the B&B. The contact with the host made the accommodation feel extra safe and comfortable. Also enjoyed the breakfast, which was super. I'd definitely visit again!

By far the best B&B/Hotel I have stopped at in my 56 years, Birgit and Hugo are by far the most friendly, attentive and professional hosts you could wish for, from our arrival (2 hours early) to the day we left they could not do enough for us. received a full brief from Birgit on what the town had to offer, best places to eat, shops, facilities in the town etc. then shown to our room. The room was very well appointed, exceptionally clean with modern en-suite, very comfy bed and pillows and refreshments. Breakfast was continental with plenty of choice with eggs and bacon also available cooked to order. We left very early on our last day and Birgit even did us a breakfast pack up to take with us so we had something for the trip to Calais (she even asked us to send a message to let her know we had got home safe)

The owner was fantastic and made us feel very welcome! The room was spacious, clean and very cosy. Bed was comfortable. The rain shower is really nice. Location is great with an easy 10 minute walk to the city centre. The hotel is located on a quiet, residential road. There is parking onsite. Hiking trails and the Shimano Experience are reached within a few minutes on foot. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. The quality of the items were high and it was obvious that a lot of thought and effort had been put in to it by the owner. Coffee and snacks are offered throughout the day, as well as chilled water bottles. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Valkenburg!

Beautiful house in Valkenburg, walking distance from city centre. Birgit is very charming and attentive. She welcomes you with coffees and pie! Beautiful modern large room, with very comfy bed, and great shower. Free waters, coffees and teas with sweets during the day. Breakfast is delicious with home cooked choice of eggs, different fresh bread, fresh cut fruit salads and more.

Honestly, this is one of the the best B&B I've ever stayed at, the hosts are very friendly and helpfull. In addition, the amenities such as the sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pond will make it feel as if you are returning to a spa at the end of your day.

Our stay at 't Solveldje was outstanding! Stefan is a great host who made us feel like at home since 1st minute. He speaks 5 languages, so communication was never a problem! We stayed in a private room in the garden, with access to our private bath and a shared sauna and jacuzzi (During our stay the other room was empty, so it was basically private as well). Our small dog also enjoyed his stay and met Stefan's pets (cats and dogs). The breakfast was very good with plenty of options! Also Stefan was kind to introduce us to his owls and even let us pet them.

From the outside, this B&B appears to be a normal home, but inside you will find gracious hosts who take a real interest in making you feel welcome. The common area has all you would need (e.g. games and drinks) and behind this is a real secret garden, complete with a pond, trees, grass, a jacuzzi, tables, fish, owls, chickens, and friendly dogs and cats. This B&B is perfect if you are looking to relax and feel like welcomed guests. It is particularly good if you are an animal lover. My daughter had a blast - playing with the dogs, seeing the birds and feeding the fish. Breakfast was also fantastic, and restaurant tips were proved valuable.

Stefan and his family are great hosts. Stefan takes genuine interest in his guests and is great with kids. They own two dogs (who are very gentle with kids), cats, collection of Owls, roosters and fishes in the big pond, and all appears well cared for. Stefan, was kind enough to show us his Owls and also let us hold them. About the facilities, he jacuzzi was easy to operate and the rooms are of descent size. Pro tip: There are ample of standard Belgium grocery outlets, as well as fuel stations in the neighborhood of the property, so do no try to get things from far or be worried about stocking up your car up fuel or food.

Perfect beds, very nice host. The place looks brand new and is very clean. The view from the room we had was a castle, so it gives a nice holiday vibe. After a 2 minute walk you're in the city center. The hotel itself is quiet and well isolated (no noise from the street).

Expecting a 1 bedroom apartment - getting a house. Very nice living room with views over the Golf course - and it seem even to Belgium. Kitchen very well equipped with everything but salt and pepper. The beds were super for those who appreciate very soft beds as was the jacuzzi and sauna. Unfortunately the sauna was needed during the nights as we only were offered summer quilts. The fancy hotel lowered the temperature during the night to 16C and we were freezing big time. The next night we took additional quilts from one of the other 3 bedrooms to keep warm. Why the bedrooms have to be warm during the day and cold during the nights is a big mystery. No matter what - very positive- and one of the best places ever stayed at!!!

This is one of the best places & area with easy access to some amazing places in Netherlands, Germany and Belgium within 60-90min drive. We stayed in a house which was clean, comfortable and with modern design. The property has everything, allowing to buy food in the local supermarkets and cook, which is super handy if travelling with kids (meaning the chances to go to restaurants for dinner aren’t great). There is also swimming pool for kids and adults, free to guests. It’s not that big, but new, modern design and panoramic walls into the woods. Several playgrounds. The place is also great for people with no kids who want to explore Maastricht and the area. It’s short bike ride to the town center.

Superb holiday village. The cottages are comfortable and well equipped. Over 5 playground, swimming pool, local shop, pub, restaurant and fast food. The kitchen is very practical for those with kids, or love cooking. Close access to nearby local supermarkets e.g. Jumbo. In addition, Carrefour in Belgium is only 20 min drive. There is plenty of activities and amazing places within 90 min drive in Maastricht and the area, Germany, Belgium, from the caves in Valkenburg, Discovery Museium, to mountains in Monschau, Germany and Castles in Belgium. 2 Aqua Mundo holiday parks within a short drive that offer daily pass. We have been multiple times in different seasons and will certainly return again.

Have stayed here several times, as always everything is great, cozy, clean and comfortable. Convenient that individual parking right next to the house. Especially cozy to sit by the wood fireplace on the first floor. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need.

We got all the good basic facilities with well maintained, The surrounding countryside atmosphere was great, fresh bakery every mornings, flexible staff at reception, snack bar and restaurant, dynamic and positive young waiter at restaurant

The bed was super comfortable and we had tea and coffee making facilities in the room ( there is also a safe in the room) - if helpful this was room 31, one of the Sauna Suites.

The location was excellent, close enough to Maastricht city centre but in another world of peacefulness and nature. The old castle has been beautifully renovated and the park around it is really nice. Rooms are comfortable with modern appliances. Breakfast was very good, although the standard breakfast tray is not as flexible as a normal buffet style breakfast, and probably leads to more wasted food, but I guess there is an educational reason for this choice. The young staff was very friendly and helpful, the whole concept of this teaching hotel is great.

We loved it all! The staff (students) are amazing, so welcoming and friendly. The rooms were very clean and an incredibly comfortable bed. The restaurant on site is very very good, the food was really amazing. Top flavours and presentation. And lovely service and great wines! We will definitely be back :) can’t wait!

Absolutely phenomenal! This used to be a castle and you can feel this throughout your stay! coupled with exceptional service, (the students are amazing!) the atmosphere is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and impeccably clean, the beds are soooo comfortable. The bathroom was HUGE and had a double side by side tub! like staying at a spa… (plus they use Rituals soap which is amazing!) This place is a MUST stay if you’re in Maastricht! What a beautiful property with immaculate park like surroundings for walking. Convenient location with parking for a car. Excellent service from the reception desk -staff very helpful and friendly. Room was bright and beautifully appointed with the bonus of 2 baths in the bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities very good! Highly recommended! The dinner on the last night was delicious with great personal service from students that are passionate about their role serving customers. A great experience!

It’s incredible to stay in such a beautiful place. The character of the building, but not only! You can tell the owners put their heart into making this place as comfortable as possible for visitors. Not just a place to stay the night, but to take a break and rest. We were able to walk around the beautiful property, discover hidden treasures in the brocante and really feel at home away from home! Bonus? Never have we had such a delicious breakfast, prepared with love by the lovely owners!

The property was quirky, very well decorated and very clean. It was a nice quiet location with a pub opposite and take away nearby. The hosts were very hospitable and went above and beyond in making our stay a very enjoyable one

The place is about a 15 minute walk from the train station. Conveniently located for a variety of restaurants in the quaint town square of Valkenburg. We were there for the Pinkpop festival and the experience was memorable.

Host was super welcoming and friendly and set the tone for our stay really nicely. She was very thoughtful and went the extra mile to ensure we were comfy. Room was cozy, clean and had everything we needed. Good value for money and great location in the center of town.

We felt at home. The place was clean and cozy. The host were always willing to help and make us feel comfortable. I totally recommended. I will be back soon.

This stay was a relaxing week with which to end our trip as a family with one 3-year-old. Tinka, our host, was warm, kind and responsive throughout our stay from beginning to end. We had all we needed for the whole stay. We loved the rustic nature of the rooms, it truly felt like we were part of the city and the landscape. There are a million things to do throughout Valkenburg, and compared to our other stays in the Netherlands it felt like merely a local destination, free of tourist traps and the like. We could easily stay a month here and never run out of interest in the immediate area. We didn't even make it to Maastricht, though we took a day trip to Liege (note for anyone travelling to Belgium - do NOT "tap in" on the Netherlands side like usual: buy a ticket for the cross-border trip instead). In all, we loved this place and it was a fitting and relaxing way to end our 3 weeks of Europe adventuring!

Upon check in, we were warmly greeted by Coen, our host, and a glass of rosé. He showed us our huge top floor room complete with a full modern kitchen and private bathroom. An extra large bed as well as a deep 2 person bathtub were in this handsomely decorated garden view room. A thoughtful combination of the restored 300 year old farmhouse and upscale modern conveniences were a sensory delight! The high quality linens combined with a cloud-like mattress made our sleep extra comfortable and rejuvenating. We were able to choose our breakfast time and were met by a picture perfect arrangement in the large eat in kitchen. A wonderful assortment of breads, cheeses, meats and fruit were available. Also, homemade grape jam from the grapes grown on the property ! Coen offered us tea, juice, coffee or cappuccino to drink. It seems generations at Hoeve Berghof have definitely understood and exemplify hospitality !! Ask about the wartime history for some interesting stories. We shall return. Many thanks to Coen.

We stayed at Hoeve Berghof for one night while travelling across Europe as it is conveniently close to the motorway. The property is a stunning period building that has been beautifully refurbished to modern standards. Our host was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The town centre is a short drive away and there are loads of restaurants to choose from for dinner. The bed was so comfortable and the bedroom had a very quiet air conditioning unit which helped us to sleep so well during the hottest part of the year. Breakfast was generous and delicious and we had the option to eat out in the courtyard.

Hoeve Berghof is a wonderful, converted old farmhouse with a lot of character just outside Heerlen. The hotel is located close (but not too close) to the ring road around Hoensbroek, Brunssum, Landgraaf and Heerlen which makes it very convenient if you're driving. There's also free parking. It's also a 10 minute walk to the Hoensbroek station. Coen is a really kind and friendly host who grew up here. He has lots of nice tips on what to do in and around town and the area. He also makes a great continental breakfast (cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, fruit) and gets you started off with some coffee. He does wake up calls and he is very conscientious. He really makes you feel at home. Best host and accommodation in this area! But there are only a few rooms so if you get the chance - book now :) I flew in for work and was here for 5 days and 4 nights, there's also a little table for working inside and a cozy outdoor patio when it's nice. There are some teas and a small coffee machine in the room as well. It is very calm and peaceful - ideal if you have a big meeting or you just need some rest. It's also close to downtown Heerlen (6 min drive), Valkenburg (18 min), Aachen (20 mins) or Maastricht (30 mins).

The property was full of character and tastefully decorated in keeping with its original use as a stables. The rustic feel was continued throughout. Our bedroom and bathroom was open plan and incredibly comfortable. we wish we could have stayed longer. Our host, Coen, rang us beforehand and asked about our dietary requirements for breakfast. His attention to detail was exemplary throughout our stay. My only reluctance in writing this review is that he might be fully booked when we next want to stay! The breakfast was really tasty with everything we wanted. I especially liked the almond cakes and homemade jam. Everything about our stay was perfect. I have listed our property as a favourite and we will be back.

It may not be a big chain 5 star hotel - more like visiting a wealthy Grandmothers house - it's a fabulous old house that has been transformed. Comfortable sitting room on the 2nd floor [ 1st floor in Belgium ] - simple but satisfying breakfast, Great staff, cozy and comfortable. If you are looking for an army of a staff, stay elsewhere, but if you want a comfortable stay, in a room that costs a lot more elsewhere, then this is the place. Easy walking distance to the top 10 restos in town, including their own Basilik (where you get a discount for staying here) Also - one of the few hotels with parking - and very reasonable rates for parking. Laurent is very accommodating and is very helpful. Will stay again!

Beautiful location with a friendly and professional "onthaal" incl. a short tour of the facilities. The porter takes your luggage to the room and valet parking. This is also where the delicious breakfast buffet is served. The chapel attached to the castle is a magnificent structure. Don't miss seeing it! There is also a wonderful indoor pool in the castle. While the castle houses the dining room and bistro, we found their lunch and dinner menus very limited and very expensive, so we didn't eat at either place, but we did explore them and they were beautiful. We found a lovely hotel restaurant in the village, that served a huge, delicious dinner for a very reasonable price. Strolling the immaculate, extensive grounds with their well laid out gardens and statuary was so calming. We felt like aristocrats at Chateau Saint Gerlach.

We stumbled onto this gem of a hotel, because everything in Aachen was booked for the night. It is a beautiful old country chateau (and formerly a working abbey in earlier centuries), updated to modern standards and operating as a hotel. The room we had was an apartment with 2 bedrooms, excellent for families traveling with children. The grounds for the hotel include broad, beautiful lawns with sculpture throughout, as well as several different rose & formal gardens and walking paths with stunning landscaping. I think they only have 30-some rooms, so it's a very relaxed, quiet vibe even when full. The hotel was very reasonably priced, especially considering the spacious rooms and the high-class experience that comes with a stay here. We slept with the dormer windows open, and awoke to the sound of bells tolling in the nearby town and birds chirping in the gardens. No street noise, no delivery or garbage trucks doing their business all night, just a relaxing stay at a swank resort. It was wonderfully relaxing, and easily worth twice the price. Highly recommended if you want the experience of a stay at an Old European Resort.

We stayed here for the weekend and love the place! Everything is more than we expected. After reading negative reviews about the Senior Suite room, we were surprised that the room we had is beautiful, very specious and comfortable. It’s on the ground floor and having 2 big windows over looking the beautiful garden. Friendly staff and the dinner at the Bistro is a must, it has a nice ambiance. We also tried the pool/ sauna and Turkish bath. The opportunity for the late checkout completes this perfect weekend. It’s a lovely places, recommended!

The hotel was a good deal as the room was spacious and included items in the mini bar. You could also use the spa facilities. However, if your rate doesn't include breakfast, it is 37.50€ per person! We went elsewhere. We treated ourselves to dinner in the Salon. If you like fine dining with matched wines, you will enjoy the experience.

Really enjoyed staying here, nice room, sizeable, comfortable bed, helpful staff, shuttle to town available also bikes and vespas for hire. Tried three out of four eating places, food in both excellent. Bistro staff very friendly and helpful. The grounds were outstanding, well laid out and kept. Interesting sculptures, beautiful orchard, lovely rose gardens, great to sit in and enjoy the surroundings.

It was raining the day we left and the staff was so friendly to suggest us to use the hotel's umbrellas while bringing luggage to the car.

Easy to reach, on site parking, airco quite powerful, the room was very clean, the bed very comfortable. There was a small balcony adjacent to the room, no view though, but good if you want to have a smoke. Large tv screen, bedroom also spacious and clean. Very modern facility. Breakfast more expensive then average, but very good, both the diversity and quality. Staff very friendly.

Our room was on a top floor with a terrace. Maastricht is such a delightful fairytale looking city and the views from our terrace over looked the church next door. As mentioned before, it is a very unique property, but definitely would stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Loved our stay at the Maison Haas Hustinx. Booked a Standard Triple Room, 2 Bedrooms, with Terrace just for a bit more room. The terrace had an incredible view St. John's church and the cathedral next to it. The hotel provided great directions to follow to get into the inner-city which is more of a pedestrian zone. The hotel offers a discount for parking nearby, but chose the parking lot across the street that was about 10 euros more just because that was so convenient. The bed was super comfortable, like sleeping in a cloud. Great ammenities and furnishings.

This is an amazing hotel located in a former monastery and church near the center of Maastricht. It clearly doesn't look like a hotel from the front or sides but the location is easily found using a GPS. The interior has been very tasteful modernized while the exterior and main interior walls retain their original glory. The rooms are large and very comfortable. There is even an elevator. Service is excellent. I arrived quite late -- about 6AM on the morning after my reservation due to some flight issues, and the gentlemen in reception just rushed me to my room saying that the check-in could wait until later in the day. Everyone I encountered was equally helpful and gracious. The restaurant is located on a sort of loft in the middle of what I think was the church. Food was outstanding, and the pace of service is more like a fine dining restaurant than a hotel. Don't plan on a quick lunch or dinner. I would highly recommend this location.

Wonderful hotel and service. Very clean, great concept being in an old church. My one and only concern was that in the morning housekeeping prepared their carts and worked out of the hallway in front of my room. This was distracting, and for an upgraded room i found it odd taht housekeeping did not have an alternative place to work from. I walked out of my door to carts, bags of linens and lots of noise. This was disappointing. On another note the location was great, in walking distance to the entire town, which is just magical. The staff was attentive at the front desk, breakfast, and for cocktails in the bar.

We arrived in Maastricht to see Andre Rieu on Sunday. Arriving at the hotel, you sense that this will be no ordinary hotel experience. You can't help but want explore the cathedral space that is the lobby as the friendly staff leads you to the front desk, it's awe inspiring. Even better than the photos. Staff were never short of being polite and friendly, and will see that you have the utmost enjoyable stay there. This hotel also offers an amazing home style burger with an assortment of desserts for room service, which is perfect when the sky is pouring down onto the cobbled streets below and you have everything you need under the one roof of where you are staying. Fantastic hotel and will advise that if you ever plan to visit Maastricht the once, this is the Hotel to stay at.

Excellent! We arrived a little early but it was no bother and we were checked in swiftly by a very kind and professional receptionist; she was very helpful too with a great sense of humour. The rooms are very nice, big and clean and the bathroom is big, with a choice of shower heads and a separate bath. The breakfast buffet offers A LOT of options and I was impressed, it would have been perfect if they’d have served vegetarian sausages but that’s me being incredibly picky. Check out was swift plus you can also check out online or leave your keys in a drop box. There is ample parking and the location is very good as you are just off the motorway between Belgium and Germany. We booked directly with them so they offered us a little treat which was super nice. I thoroughly recommend this hotel; the parking, rooms and staff are very, very good!

The owners/staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, even writing us a list of things to do in Maastricht. The hotel has a very comfortable, homely feel, and the food in the restaurant far exceeded expectations - we ate there twice in 3 days. Breakfast is also great, with delicious fresh bread, and eggs cooked to order. A few reviews mention neighbour noise, but our room (on the ground floor) was very quiet.

Great location, country’s style hotel, quiet and easily accessible with the car and right next to the treinstation. The room was decent and the beds comfortable. We loved the deck in the restaurant where we could enjoy our breakfast (and dinner) enjoying the sun while looking out over the meadows. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The owners of the hotel made everything possible to make you feel welcomed as a guest. Facility was great, clean, staff very friendly and supportive, simply said, you feel like home. The dinner in the restaurant was also very good, I can recommend to have dinner there at least once.

Bike hire was available from reception which unveiled the myriad cycle paths snaking around the local fields and into Heerlen past the University. I only wished I was there later in the year to witness the crops in full-bloom.

This is probably the best city apartment we have stayed in during all our travels around Europe. It is a beautiful and stylish hotel in an excellent location for exploring the historic heart of Maastricht. There are many restaurants and coffee shops only a very short walk away including the Bisschopsmolen Bakery. My friend and i stayed at this lovely, quaint hotel for 2 nights. It is in a perfect location, nice area and close to the centre. The staff were really friendly and so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our room wS spacious and the bed was so comfy! We will be back, thank you Joules and all the staff.

I enjoyed my one night stay at Hotel Limburgia! I felt very welcome by the owners from the moment I checked in, during the delicious breakfast, and when I checked out. The bed was comfortable, good shower, and a nice view from the balcony. I didn't have a car and traveled by bus. The bus stop is conveniently around the corner (you can see the hotel from the stop) and takes about 30 minutes to get to Maastricht. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a place outside of the city center of Maastricht.

Fantastic stay and would highly recommend for short or longer stays. My only qualm really was that the restaurant and bar was closed on the Friday and Saturday evening due to private functions which was a bit disappointing as it would have been lovely to fully enjoy the hotel facilities. Apart from that , then an amazing stay in an amazing hotel.

The hotel was lovely, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They let us check in early as the room was already cleaned and available. The room had a large, comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom with a free-standing bathtub and a shower with amazing water pressure. The food at Harry's, the restaurant, was delicious. The only minor inconvenience we had was that we needed a USB port to charge our phones as we didn't have a plug but there wasn't one.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Maastricht for the Andre Rieu concerts. Just 20 minutes by car away, yet at a fraction of the price, this is a great value hotel. The surrounding area is lovely and so peaceful. The hotel manages to combine the original 80 year old building with a smart new section and it works perfectly. The rooms are huge, ours had a lovely patio overlooking the fields. The breakfast which can be taken in the courtyard was sufficient and tasty and all the staff were adorable. Only slight blemish was that there was no a/c, which would have been a blessing on such a hot weekend. If you are considering somewhere however for Andre Rieu, I highly recommend this hotel if you have a car.

Staying over in Maastricht for a day, we were looking for a hotel outside of the city. Even though this hotel is a bit further away from where we would normally stay, I can't recommend it more highly. This place is fantastic. Located in a renovated old windmill in a very quiet, countryside environment next to some industrial area, they have done a fabulous job of turning the site into a great hotel with a modern vibe to it. There's sufficient parking available but you might need a GPS to locate the place as it's not on a main road. Front desk staff was super friendly. I called them due to our late check-in and they went out of their way to offer a solution that worked out very well. The rooms are very modern and spacious and have a very unique layout. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room very clean. Breakfast was served in the restaurant that is linked to the hotel, with an open kitchen. Staff asked us if we wanted some freshly scrambled or baked eggs and they made it on the spot. At Eur 15 per person I did consider breakfast a bit expensive for what they offer, but unless you're willing to drive out it offers some good choices. While the hotel rates were really good value, be prepared to be charged Eur 5 per person tourist tax as set by council. Really glad to have found this hotel for our next visit when I hope to try the restaurant for dinner (it was still closed). Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Traveeling to Maasmechelen on buisness I found this hotel was a convienient location, the hotel was a little tricky to find with my Sat Nav not picking up the road its on but as the hotel is an old converted windmill I managed to head to a surrounding road and easily found my way once in close proximity, Great free parking at the front of the hotel, the room was extremely comfortable with great furnishings and a nice bathroom/shower area. The restaurant was excellent, not cheap but served really nice food. On the whole I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We were visiting for a concert in Maastricht; this was an ideal place to stay, as from the station it takes less than 15 minutes to Maastricht Central Station (with connections all over the Netherlands), but without the crowds in the city. Wonderful stay. Very comfortable room, nicely decorated, and sparkling clean. The included breakfast was a really nice touch. But the best, the hosts. Martin and Bianca were complete stars. It began with the personal call we received days before check-in suggesting us to do our bookings because all restaurants and activities would be booked since it was Christmas weekend. They offered a host of helpful suggestions, had great flexibility around check-in and breakfast (time, allergies...), and the really nice chats that made us feel truly welcome. We will surely be back!

She asked if we have any special needs/request for the breakfast. The room was very cosy and clean. The bed was very comfy. The parking is right across the street and is free of charge.

Valkenburg is a very nice town with many restaurants, cafes and grocery stores. As a tourist, you will probably find everything you need there.

It is also located just off the market square where the very vibrant local ‘bazaar’ is held every Wednesday/Friday. The room is very spacious and clean, the decor and lighting are really nice and pleasant. The hotel lobby/restaurant and garden area are also very lovely, the design is slick and comfortable.

We stayed at the Alex Maastricht because we came to see the Andre Rieu show (which was also amazing) so the location was perfect, as it was close to the station, in a quiet spot with a nice view. The room was lovely - clean, fresh and modern, with a comfy bed and pillows. There were thoughtful extras and a coffee pod machine with brownies as a treat. The dinner was superb! The little touches such as free snacks and delicious bread made us feel spoilt and the food was exceptional. Staff were friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome.

The Alex exceeded our expectations. The staff are super friendly and helpful. After day 1 they recognized us and carried on conversations with us. The meals were delicious- we had breakfast and dinner in the cafe. While their cafe is small (very pleasant outdoor seating too though ), they were able to accommodate about 25 of my work colleagues on short notice for drinks/hors d'oeuvres. The room was clean and great bed/bath; cleaned daily; espresso machine/tea in room. There was a heat wave while we were there but luckily the room had excellent and quiet air conditioning. Everything! The location was awesome and the room was amazing!! Very quiet and a great view! The room was large and very comfortable and breakfast was amazing!! The Alex was a fantastic hotel and great value! The Staff was fantastic, helpful and friendly. Very happy I stayed here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Maastricht and wanting a hotel near the Hauptbahnhof.

A very comfortable room in a traditional hotel with a well fitted bathroom and spacious main room, with great views from the large balcony. A nice breakfast in the lovely restaurant. The bar area was very nice with a wide range of local beers.

This boutique hotel met our expectations. Very nice, clean room with comfortable bed and good bathroom. it was extremely hot weather when we were there, but luckily they have excellent central air conditioning. Small bar/restaurant on ground level and outside seating. We enjoyed a couple of good meals. Also, they were helpful to accommodate a group of about 25 of my colleagues for happy hour drinks/appetizers. There are stairs to get to rooms, but they offered to carry our suitcases.

Very nice small, quiet and very friendly hotel. All staff very welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely evening meal and a lovely member of staff helped us to translate the menu. Hotel is situated about 25 minutes from Maastricht which is an easy drive. The hotel is in the country and we drove through some lovely villages to get there. The hotel is very clean and tidy. Everything that is needed is in the hotel room. My only niggle is that there is no dressing mirror in the room. There is only a small bathroom mirror which is not great to use when someone else is in there. There is a large mirror above the bed but as I’m fairly small I had to stand on the bed to try to use it. Maybe a long dressing mirror behind the wardrobe door would be an idea? Apart from that one tiny niggle we had a lovely stay!

Great location and staff, they also have a restaurant with really good food, breakfast buffet was one of the best. We had a very comfortable stay. You can also do some walks in the surroundings.

Great 4 nights stay. Great choices for breakfast, and had dinner 2 of the nights - food great. Staff also really helpful. Definitely stay again.

We stayed in the Junior Suite. Room was very large, nice furnishings and bathroom, all clean. Only complaint was that it was a bit too dark during the day and that some things were broken/nearly broken, like the room’s door handle and one of the blinds. Staff were very friendly and helpful, both at reception, the breakfast service and the restaurant, which we both used. The breakfast service was great and dinner even better – wonderful set menu and actually quite good value given the quality of food and presentation. But the stand out was the hotel’s grounds. Surrounded by nature and set within a small valley, it really is beautiful. Given the area is great has many great walking routes, I’d really recommend visiting L.A., especially if you appreciate nature and natural beauty!

The place is just gorgeous, situated in a lush green environment so it breaths quietness. De interior is modern but with many original details. The room is nice, good bed and everything looks well maintained. Breakfast is excellent with many choices.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is excellent - cannot be beaten for central/ handy, nice vibe to surrounding area. The room was bright and very spacious with a couple of comfy chairs. The bed was comfortable. The shower was large and water always hot.

The location near the cycling paths. I was travelling without a car so access to the cycling area was amazing- short walk into Valkenburg for train, shops and restaurants. The accommodation was well equipped very clean and very quiet. I was able to store my bike in the garage for over night or when I was not using it.

This motel is situated near a quiet road, a fork of the main road. My room was looking very clean and neat and was large in size. Lots of amenities. All, including the bathroom looked fresh and new. Also the breakfast lounge is pleasant. When travelling by car this motel is very easy to reach. Very convienient just park the car at the grounds of this motel. It is good starting point to explore the region and also Germany and Belgium.

The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as good as possible. They know the city and were helpful in pointing us in the right direction. The rooms looked very clean and modern, with plenty of amenities. The bed was very comfy with multiple pillows and a large blanket. Despite the hotel being close to a main crossroad, noise wasn't an issue overnight even with an open window. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and we couldn't find anything that we'd miss. I'll definitely be returning to this hotel when traveling to Maastricht again!

This hotel is a genuinely family run hotel who care hugely about their hotel. The welcome, in English, could not have been warmer. Their concern for their guests showed when they asked about any food allergies as part of the initial welcome. The staff in the bar were equally friendly and helpful. I loved the location, though some might find it a bit quiet - but that's what I wanted. It is just 3kms away from the town of Valkenburg which is a very popular holiday destination and is full of people at this time of year which is why I chose the Hotel Bemelmans to get away from the crowds.. The grounds are like a southern English garden, and the owners would appear to be trying to grow some of their herbs and vegetables.. The hotel was full of Dutch people, many with bicycles.

Great value for money; located in a very quite area surrounded by beautiful landscapes, room was quite spacious and clean. The staff were super friendly! We had a trail race the next day and were allowed to have early breakfast! Would visit this place again!

A train option is located there as well. Very easy to use and we appreciated that we could use this instead of driving into the city center. The staff that manages check-in and check-out, the bar, restaurant and breakfast area were all very kind and helpful. I highly recommend booking a table for dinner, as well as setting up the breakfast option during your stay. You will not be disappointed. We also loved that this was a dog friendly property. We loved all the green spaces and the quiet away from the city. Our next trip back to Europe we will stay here again 100%.

We've been twice to this hotel and will be coming back. The hotel blends historic tradition with modern comfort. We like all the different areas you can chill at this hotel. At the first view the hotel looks somewhat old fashioned ( the restaurant makes you think at Tirol :)), but it is a good, non nonssens hotel, which is well situated on about 3 kms from Maastricht city. You get value for your money. The location of the hotel offers a good starting point for bicycle tours. There is secured bicycle storage garage. The Comfort room was best OK and the bathroom comfortable and very clean. Very good service. The personnel is very friendly, helpful and client oriented. The food on the menu was just excellent and tasteful ( a very good chef) and the breakfast was very good. I would go there again without hesitation.

We received exceptional personal service as soon as we arrived, with the offer using their garage to park our bikes. The rooms were clean and well appointed. We opted to eat in and we’re not disappointed. The personal and professional service continued in the restaurant and the food was very good. Breakfast was the usual continental buffet with a good selection of cereals and pastries etc.

The rooms were very comfortable, we chose to stay at the back of the building which is not on the main road. It was very comfortable and enjoyed the restaurant food downstairs for dinner which was very delicious.

Friendly welcome and a comfortable room. We enjoyed the bar for a nightcap and the optional breakfast in the morning. We asked for information about buses into the city, there was a temporary replacement route, the staff kindly ensured we had the right info. Maastricht is lovely, we greatly enjoyed our evening in the city. Free parking at the hotel and good WiFi.

The property is beautiful, not too far from the center, and so luxurious. The staff is very helpful, and while the breakfast is higher in price than average, it is worth it, as you can tell it is fresh and made with high-quality ingredients. We definitely would come again.

Room is big, clean, renovated. in 10 mins walking crossing the bridge you come into the old city center where you can find anything you like: all kinds of food, shopping malls, old city walls etc. Overall, the hotel looks super cool and the rest area with free tea, coffee and snacks is so sweet. Next time will definitely stay here again!

The property is centrally located in a very nice neighbourhood, close to the train station. Spotlessly clean with friendly professional staff. Good breakfast - the breakfast area looks over the street to get the city feel. Free coffee! We chose a large room which was much more spacious than the typical hotel room.

This hotel is a contactless hotel, so I need to check in and check out by myself. It was a bit surprising but a very easy process. They can reply to any request using Whatsapp using AI and also a real person if AI can not have an answer. For breakfast, they can deliver to a room if I request at night with 8.5 euros. Honest bar is really good, but I'm not sure they have takeout coffee. In the room, they noticed coffee in the bar, but I couldn't find it. The hotel is walking distance from the train station and many excellent restaurants nearby.

The design of the hotel and the music we could hear in the lounge and lobby - in 90s style were very welcoming and creating a relaxing atmosphere. The room was bigger than expected, very clean and comfortable. The amnesties in the bathroom smelled very nice. The free coffee in the lobby was an extra bonus for the morning:) We only stayed for one night, but definitely we will come back when visiting Maastricht.

Self-service check in and check out went smoothly, a really efficient system, backed up by a friendly and helpful memebr of staff if you run into a problem. Big room, great bathroom, really comfortable bed and a superb location, just a few minutes walk from the station, shops, restaurants and cafes, The complementary mini-bar and a constant supply of free fruit, pastries and hot drinks are nice touches.

This was a fun property in a great location of the city. We were within close walking distance of many of the tourist attractions, but not in the noisy heart of the tourist dining center. The area seems to be mostly occupied by locals, and the city here is busy at nights, but the hotel is on a quiet block, so central to everything but a great escape. The staff was happy to provide recommendations. It is across the street to a few high end restaurants including one Michelin Star restaurant (get reservations in advance). It is also close to many historic sights including the church and old city walls. As an added bonus, the hotel has a local athletic club, so during the day there were kids attending martial arts practice, I thought it was super cute and made the place feel more like a part of the community.

Great location, big apartment, all amenities are modern and good, staff was friendly and professional, everything was clean and convenient.

The whole experience and stay at Mabi exceeded our expectations. Helpful and responsive reception staff. Carmela was great as her two other colleagues during our stay. The hotel itself has a rustic style, and while some might find it a bit outdated, the owners’ dedication more than makes up for it. A perfect example of this was at breakfast: when I asked if there was something vegan available, they went out of their way to buy three different kinds of vegan yoghurt just for me, even though I insisted it wasn’t necessary. That’s far more than most places would do, and I appreciated it so much. Breakfast overall offered a good variety: delicious peanut butter, jams, several kinds of bread, cereals, seeds, dried fruit, and fresh fruit. Plenty of options, especially when combined with the yoghurt they provided. Our room was spacious, filled with natural light, and equipped with a large double bed, both a bath and a shower, which made it very comfortable. Eijsden itself is a quiet and charming place with beautiful scenery, perfect for a relaxing stay. Overall, Bon Heur Hotel is a place where the genuine care and hospitality of the owners shine through. If you value warmth and personal attention, you’ll feel right at home here.

It was a very lovely hotel in a fantastic location. I stayed for Andre Rieu concert. Going to MEEC was incredibly convenient since it is less than two minutes to walk to the train station. The hotel was very comfortable. The breakfast was satisfying and it was open-buffet. The owner couple was really kind and helpful. The hotel also has a cosy café-bar inside if you wanna enjoy a drink.

I liked the neighbourhood (quiet, cosy, clean) and the hosts (helpful, discreet and endearing). The fact that we could spend our weekend there with our pet and the flexibility of payment methods/marketing policies was quite stress relief. Le Bonheur is the perfect location for a getaway, either alone or in small groups. The touristic attractions are a transportation away. You can have all the info and documentation about them from the hosts as well. I highly recommend this cosy hotel. I will surely comeback, since it has now become my favorite location for my first trip in Holland. Again, thank you for having us.

Cozy private hotel. Clean rooms with breakfast. Friendly owner. At our request, we had breakfast early, at 7.00 am. Possibility to drink coffee freely at any time in the dining room. Or take drinks from the refrigerator for a fee. There is private parking and if you're lucky there will be a space. On the first day we parked in the hotel parking lot, on the second day the spaces were full, so we had to park in a public space along the street.

This was a very short stay before fetching my wife at Brussels Airport the next morning. I had to fix some urgent issues as soon as I arrived so I did not have much time for other things. First off, amazing value for money. We paid very little and receiving a nice room WITH breakfast. The hotel was perfectly located right in the center but in a more quiet street. The room was clean and well-equiped. The beds were comfy and the bathroom had a bath and 2 sinks, perfect to our needs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were the last folks at breakfast one morning and the host asked us if we wanted any more specific items. And said breakfast was extensive for such a modest hotel.

I felt welcomed on arrival though it did take a little while for someone to see me as the receptionist also appeared to be the waitress, barmaid and possibly the cook also (the last one is a joke)in the restaurant. And as I had to wait (only a few minutes) I was offered a free drink. My room was on the top floor which was no problem for me. But could be a problem as it was up several sets of stairs with some being very narrow.I was given a hand to carry my bags by the 'porter' who was also the receptionist,etc.But she kept smiling, explained the wi-fi access to me (which I got wrong and went and bugged her about)and breakfast. The room was a reasonable size and the bed comfortable. Though I do not like European pillows very much. The room was a bit 'falling apart' in places but it was very clean which is more important to me. It was ideal for what I needed and I did not expect The Ritz at the price I paid so therefore 5/5 for value. And then there was breakfast thrown in. All you can eat and with 7 hours standing in the cold and rain to look forward too that was much appreciated. So, would I recommend the hotel. Yes. Most definitely. Don't expect pure luxury. But as someone to eat and sleep at a great price it is perfect.

We stayed at the apartment building and it was lovely. The room and bathroom are fresh and modern, the bed was comfortable. There is an elevator too. The location is very convenient, but I should mention that the rooms facing the street are not very quiet, as there is some traffic on the street. The kitchenette is basic - just a kettle, small coffee maker, microwave, fridge and a sink, so not really intended to actually cook something. The option of getting a free cup of soup and a coffee (at the hotel across the street) was superb (the soups were also very good tasting!). We didn't initially pay for the breakfasts, but ended up getting them anyway. While they are not cheap (20 euro per adult, and for kids - 1 euro for each year), they are excellent with some hot dishes, lots of quality cold cuts, cereals, yogurt, fruit, juices and even champaign. Overall I really enjoyed our week in Maastricht and I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We stayed two nights in the spacious room at the Hip Hotel. It was very comfortable and clean and very convenient to all the attractions and shopping . Maurice at the check-in desk across the street was very helpful in recommending dinner spots. A cheaper breakfast at the hotel would have been nice (the breakfast served is quite pricey) but there were other, inexpensive options nearby. The free wi-fi was a bonus, too.

Townhouse Apartments were truly a 10/10. We were a group with 12 people and the beds were so big we comfortably fit 4 people into each room. The beds and pull out couch beds were extremely comfortable with great pillows and linens. The bathrooms in the rooms were also very spacious which is unlike typical Dutch hotel bathrooms! A great bonus is the free soup and coffee/tea in the lobby whenever you want. The breakfast was great with lots of variety of fruits, breads, spreads and warm dishes. The hosts were super kind and helpful. Very attentive and the 24hr reception was perfect also! Overall great value for money. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Maastricht.

Check-in is just across the street. Apart from this slight inconvenience, the staff are helpful and friendly. If you drive, parking is just round the corner; parking is free from 8pm - 8am, thereafter €2.6 per hour; Metro station is also just round the corner. The hotel room is spacious and clean. Its centrally located and within walking distance (5-10 mins walk) to the central & eateries. There are many great restaurants nearby, including Michelin star restaurant. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room: very clean, and well-serviced everyday. Bed was comfortable and the big bonus is it has AC! Location: very convenient. located in a nice and quiet area, but also super easily connected to the town and highway.

Conveniently there is a bus stop situated directly outside the hotel with a bus running to and from Maastricht every hour. Beautiful countryside surroundings for peace and quiet. Fantastic location right next to Maastricht Markt. Reception staff have been exceptionally accommodating, friendly and always ready to assist. Breakfast was varied and delicious and served in such a beautiful space. The vibe in the hotel was always vibrant and fun, especially probably because it was carnival when I stayed. Luna from reception even helped me with the final touches on my costume. The room was spacious, clean and felt like a sanctuary even in the middle of the celebrations. It was private and quiet and the bathroom was modern and felt luxurious. Sweets and fresh baked goods ready to enjoy from reception at arrival were a beautiful surprise.

The entire staff was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Your breakfast buffet is just exceptional. I told the staff working there what a good job they do. I also spoke with the chef because his scrambled eggs are just the best I've ever had. He kindly shared his secret. Thank you for a terrific visit.

Very central hotel in the middle of Maastricht. Walking distance to shopping and great restaurants. Although the hotel is so central, it was still very quiet during our stay. This is our favorite place to stay when we are in Maastricht. The interior is nice and the staff working reception are always helpful. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was very diverse, with foods for every taste and diet. And the decoration and atmosphere of the restaurant, bar and breakfast room were very cozy. A welcoming staff was always there to support the guests, as well.

Very comfortable bedroom and bathroom with rain shower. The bar was fantastic with great beer and wine. Had bittenballen and fries with our drinks which was more than enough. You could have buffet or a la carte if you wanted. A perfect night's stay!

Fabulous warm welcome from staff who were friendly, helpful and for whom nothing was too much trouble. Such lovely people! Really comfy bed and airy, good sized room with Juliet balcony. The bar was brilliant and relaxed with a great selection of beers and local snacks served beneath a glorious panoply of foliage and crystal chandeliers. It’s essentially a lovely conservatory so you can people and parade watch in comfort. You’re within a few paces of shops, markets and tons of bars and restaurants. Parking is sensibly priced and easily accessible. We loved it and hope to return.

Had a really lovely stay, comfortable, quiet, relaxing. Check in and check out was smooth and efficient. They made an effort to speak our own language the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Only area for improvement would be a separate shower bathroom, as it was a wet room shower over the toilet. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent location right next to the castle ruins in Valkenburg, as well as a lively restaurant area, with ample public parking space in the front. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the room decent for our needs, clean and quiet with good quality WiFi.

Very nice centrally located hotel in Valkenburg a/d Geul. We had the junior suite which was spaceous and comfortable. Dogs are welcome in the hotel except for the restaurant area (understandable). The friendly staff at check-in suggested to have breakfast at the outdoor seating area in the morning where the dog could join - which was a great alternative as the sun was out.

They also have parking for a small fee per day. The location of the Hotel is about a 5 min walk to the center and about 10 mins to the caves.

The hotel was comfortable and clean and most of all welcoming. All the staff were helpful and always cheerful. Ordering breakfast in advance was simple and sensible and we were able to ask for additional items easily. Glad there was a lift as we were on the third floor. We enjoyed our two night stay and would certainly recommend the hotel to others.
