I had an incredible stay at the Wyndham Sail hotel — everything from the check-in process to the room accommodations was seamless and exceeded my expectations. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of, creating a truly welcoming and relaxing environment. A special shoutout to bartender Steven, whose hospitality stood out the most. He was not only friendly and attentive, but also made some of the best cocktails I’ve had in a long time. His genuine warmth, great conversation, and personalized service made my evening at the bar a highlight of the trip. Steven is a true asset to the hotel, and his level of care really made my stay memorable. I’ll definitely be coming back

I stayed a weekend in this 5 star hotel and my experience was amazing. From the minute you arrive the staff will make you feel like a VIP guest. At the front desk Melanie Moreira did everything for us to have an absolutely awesome stay. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. The staff is so friendly and make you feel welcome at all times. There are lots of places to walk to nearby to get food, the area is safe and near the Mall del Pacifico and Playa Murciélago. The pool is so spacious and safe for kids in the shallow area, sunsets by the pool are stunning and it’s a must to get they specialty cocktails at the pool bay. I will definitely come back to 5 star hotel. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your excellent customer service and for making my family vacation so special!

We were on a special trip to pick up our daughter who had been living in Ecuador for the past 18 months. We were visiting people in nearby Portoviejo but chose to stay here. This hotel was very lovely. Staff greeted us by name when we arrived and were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing and offered the best nights sleep of our whole trip. We stayed two nights. We did not have time to enjoy the beautiful pool or even the nearby ocean. The breakfast was superb and included with the room rate. The ceviche was delicious. They also had a wonderful assortment of fruit, yogurt, juice, bacon, eggs cooked to order, cheese and breads. I am sure I am missing some things. The hotel itself was beautiful both inside and out. We would highly recommend staying here!

Very Nice and clean hotel. Excellent place to stay. The restaurants have high quality food and the staff are lovely. Recommendable to stay!!! The rooms are spacious and clean and it is a very warm city so the air condition works there. They think it is important to think about the water use and it is very economic. Comfortable and good atmosphere.

Appreciated how attentive the hosts were. The rooms were great and have a fantastic view of the beach. I felt safe during my stay and well attended, plus the breakfast buffet was a perfect way to start a day. The Hotel is a block away (walking distance) from the beach. Ten minute drive from the airport and a 5 minute drive to great restaurants. There is also a giant mall to the side of the hotel, a two minute walk. Loved the stay, if i had to be picky about one thing, it would be the pool size, felt small for how big the hotel was. Plus it was always full of kids. Which makes sense since its a family type of hotel. But it wasn't too much of an issue since theres a giant ocean a block away. haha. The hotel offers a restaurant, gym and game room. Definitely worth staying here, specially if its your first time in Manta.

Highly recommend the ocean view. The room was extremely clean and the bed and bedding was superb. The mini fridge was very convenient. The bungalows are nice but no privacy on the balconies. There is no ice on the floors but just phone the restaurant and they will bring some with a smile. The complimentary breakfast is very good. I always had a freshly made omelet and toast. Both are hot. The buffet food is good, but not hot. If the coffee is not hot enough the waiter will accommodate you. There is outdoor seating with ocean view that I particularly enjoyed. Pool is fabulous and clean. The gym was modest but ample for my needs. If you have any problems, track down Lisette. She will handle it! Also there is no complimentary shuttle from the airport. Some websites say so, but it's not true. A gratuity is added to your bill automatically, so no need to tip unless you have extraordinary service. There is a Supermaxi 10 minutes away by foot to stock up on essentials (beer!) This is definitely the place to stay in Manta!

Check in was quick and easy, the service manager was very helpful taking me to my room and explaining every thing about the tv, AC, room service etc. However, that's where the service ended. Room was not cleaned or bed made during my two night stay, trash not emptied, and my room service tray and leftover food sat outside my room for 2 days in the intense Ecuadorian heat until I left. Room safe didn't work, which was a worry for me. Those were the negatives, but it's a great safe location next to the major mall, a short walk to the beach, breakfast has a huge selection and a great view over the ocean, and the room was very modern, super clean, and the bed was really comfortable. Overall it was great, but the service was lacking.

The staff was amazing. They truly went above and beyond. They were so helpful and accommodating; very knowledgeable about the area, and gave great suggestions for things to do. The room was tastefully accommodated, and the grounds were lush and inviting. The pool was refreshing and relaxing. The restaurant was delicious. The breakfast buffet was comprehensive and varied. Every day was a new culinary treat. We took advantage of the free WiFi and the complimentary water bottles in the room. The room key system was innovative and efficient. Everything was wonderful.

Great hotel with super nice facilities, lush and tropical gardens, and rooms are clean and spacious. Although the pool isn´t big, it`s heated what makes it very pleasant. Our kids loved the playground. Breakfast is fantastic, and all the staff at the restaurant, customer-oriented, very helpful, and friendly. Special thanks also for Maria José, she is wonderful and made us and our kids feel very welcome. We definitely return!

MantaHost, we found our stay with you to be exceptional. We needed a rest and your hotel was a perfect retreat. Starting with the parking staff (free parking) - greeted us with a smile and welcome that stayed with us thoughout our seven day stay. All the staff was amazing - friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is clean and perfectly located for a stay on the sea. Our room was excellent with a sea view and was always kept clean and spotless by the household staff. Since we stayed for seven days we had the opportunity to eat in the restaurant for every breakfast and lunch. Excellent food well prepared and presented which was made better by a professional dining room staff that was always there to help. We appreciate the time we stayed at MantaHost. Thank you Mantahost!! You rescued my disaster of a beach vacation. I had made a reservation at another hotel and the conditions were so horrible I had to go somewhere else. The hotel is beautiful and the staff all treated me like a VIP. I had a private balcony overlooking the ocean and the room was well appointed with a mini fridge, bottled water and a very comfortable bed. The infinity pool is very nice, with plenty of chairs and space to relax. Great breakfast buffet and dinner at the restaurant. Restaurant and bar staff are all so friendly. Special thanks to Priscila and Teddy at reception, who were especially helpful.

Our stay at Mantahost was extremely relaxing and enjoyable. Even though English was limited to a few staff they were able to meet all our needs. Check in and out was very easy and you are offered a nice fresh juice upon arrival. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with a nice variety. We had our evening meals at the hotel and our waiter Antonio helped to make a wonderful culinary experience. The food was exceptional and you must try their soup that is a beef bisque flambled in whiskey. This is by far one of best soups we have ever tasted. My favourite little breakfast bread was the Yucca Bread.....somehow they knew it and gave me a few to take on my journey with me....what a special gift! Never has any hotel been so personal to our needs. The infinity pool and area were very clean, the room as well with various complimentary toiletries. We highly recommend this hotel when you visit Manta, Ecuador. Thank you to all the staff!

Excellent location and amazing view to the Sea! great balcony, new suites with comfortable mattress, internet, perfect for getaway with family or for home office. Breakfast is okay, could offer more ecuadorian traditional food, rather than the normal standard breakfast.

The name of this hotel says it all, it has an amazing view! The infinity pool, cafe, lounge area all share the same view and so do many of the rooms. It's located at the end of a quiet dead end street, there are steps past the dead end that can take you right down to the beach. Besides a great location, friendly, helpful staff, great breakfast, the rooms and beds are clean and comfortable and have all the amenities you need. I would definitely recommend giving Hotel Vistalmar a try if you are in Manta, I would stay here again as well!

The hotel pictures are accurate but deceiving. We imagined it near an accessible beach. Sea view but no access. Whilst we had a 2 night stay, the bar was open on the first night and offered snacks. The second night everything was closed. No sign of a restaurant. Not a problem as a 10 minute walk gave plenty of choice. The room and outside areas were clean and well kept. Only disappointed by lack of hair dryer. This is the first time we have ever been charged $1 for each bottle of water. The last 2 hotels not only gave bottles of water but free refills each day. Not the $4 that made a diffence to our stay, just the pricipal. This hotel and facilities seems expensive for Ecuador. We have paid less and got more. We have visited Ecuador 4 times now. Manta is a large port but also a beach resort. The fish market and all the restaurants at the other end of town are worth a visit, especially a busy Sunday. It has a large modern shopping mall within walking distance of hotel.

I stayed at the hotel in late September. The location and the view are great. The room was nice with a view and the breakfast was delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. First, I was upgraded to a larger room and, second, they were flexible enough to allow me to change my bookings mid-stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at Vistalmar defined our experience in Ecuador. The staff was unbelievably attentive and helpful, and we truly felt like we were at home there. Our 16 year old son (#grumpyteen) said the best part of spending a week with his parents was just hanging out at the hotel playing cards. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Beach access is just up the street and there is a huge tree there FULL of birds and the sounds were amazing. Staff arranged dinner for us when we arrived on Christmas Eve. We spent that night singing Christmas carols in English with another family from Brazil which was super cool. The staff called taxi's for us, kept the wine flowing, etc. Very much looking forward to returning in November! We stayed at a sister hotel in Quito, CasaQ, another excellent experience.

It is definitely one of the best experiences I've had in Ecuador, the hotel is really gorgeous, the view is spectacular, the breakfast was really fresh, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, the manager was thoughtful and polite with my child and he recommended some excellent restaurants and also solved the issue of the parking lot immediately even when it was full. It is actually the best hotel I've ever stayed in in Manta

We stayed at this wonderfully restored Hotel Voyager in Manta for 6 nights. We cannot say enough about Robert and his wonderful staff and how well we were treated. They gave us the such a nice room with a Jacuzzi and a view to the ocean on the 3rd floor… all of the staff treated us like family. We enjoyed a very nice breakfast every morning that was included in the price. The location was really great because we were able to walk to the beach m, to the mall and a taxi cab was only $1.25 to get back from nearly anywhere in the city. We will be definitely coming back for their orchid an art show as well as there Friday and Saturday jazz sessions.

Excellent location, 3 minutes walk from the mall and 5 minutes from Murciélago beach. Other hotels in this area cost at least twice the price. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a small balcony with a partial view of the sea. The bathroom was big and complimentary shampoo and soap were provided. The staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was simple but good: coffee, juice, a small fruit salad, eggs, a slice of cheese and arepas

Unique old hotel that has a bed and breakfast feel. Clean and comfortable room an easy walk to the main beach. Very helpful and friendly staff.

nice property very close to beach. staff were very friendly and helpful. rooms were very clean. our room had a safe, balcony, television with Netflix and Amazon Prime. very close to malecón and Manta mail.

Staff, especially Gabriel and breakfast staff. were exceptional - appreciated their friendliness and all their help. Location was close to the beach and to a huge mall. Rooms were a good size and comfortable. Also there is an very nice restaurant across the street. We really enjoyed our stay and felt welcomed.

Very clean and comfortable beds. Very quiet. Great view of the ocean. One negative- no sand beach. You can walk the rock beach at low tide and see many different sea creatures in tide pools.

The hotel is super nice, located in the best area of Manta. Staff are friendly, the rooms are the best, the view, the pool, are the most attractive part. The only thing to be taken in consideration is that even though the hotel has private beach this beach is not for swimming or walking, if you want to enjoy the beach you will need to take a taxi so they can take you to one of the public ones. 10 mins drive. $2 each ride. No bad at all

Beautiful hotel. Service was great. Staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. I needed a conference room to meet with my siblings and the staff was able to accommodate my needs at the last minute. I would stay here again and recommend the hotel to my friends, family or anyone traveling to Manta, Ecuador

The room and the communal ares were clean. Breakfast was very good with fruit, cereal, bread, cheese, and 3 hot options. I would have preferred to see shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower rather than little bottles. The minibar was not restocked with the 3 (free) soft drink options despite me asking and the coffee and sugar were also not topped up daily. I would have expected better bearing in mind the amount paid for the room. Minor issues but overall a pleasant stay and all the staff I encountered were very pleasant and accommodating.

Hotel staff very helpful, knowledgeable and most of all very friendly. Room, restaurant, and public areas very clean.

The Jacuzzi was closed but the pool was open. When I asked why Jacuzzi was closed They said it was because of Covid. Made no sense to me.

The hotel is on the beach, and the room I stayed in had a great view of the pool and the Pacific Ocean. It is centrally located, with a mall across the road. The front desk staff is friendly. and helpful. They also gave me an upgrade to a nice, fancy room! Great breakfast. Safe, walkable and convenient location.

We stayed at another property in Manta for 3 months. We were so stressed out that we needed a break. So I booked 3 nights at the Oro Verde just to relax & enjoy quiet luxury. Best decision Ive made in Manta. Great service. Great food though I do wish they had a bigger variety on the menu. Quiet. Safe. Welcoming. If I could afford to live there full time I would move in tomorrow. Highly recommend!

Amazing views of beach, big pool area but a lot of kids using it if you prefer quieter time. Good breakfast, WiFi ok but a little slow. Only downside was the corridors outside the bedrooms have windows with no glass (it’s a feature they’re not missing) so the noise from the street could be noisy.

Oro Verde Manta Hotel was amazing the 12 days we stayed there. The personnel from inception to the day we left were professional, courteous, kind, helpful and ALWAYS with a smile! The hotel inside and the grounds are beautiful, secure, clean and well kept. Mall del Pacifico, Manta is adjacent to the hotel, with a plethora of fantastic shops and restuarants! We plan to go back Oro Verde Hotel Manta every three months...

We stayed two nights at Hostel Antares. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were in decent walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the beach. The staff was friendly, and some spoke English. The breakfast was good with a full bowl of delicious fresh fruit, coffee, juice, an egg and there was something else as well, but I can't remember what! The water from the tap is not filtered, so you will want to make sure to purchase some bottled water from a store, or you can buy some from their stocked mini fridge for a bit more. There was great security, and you had to be buzzed in an out of the front gate to come in or leave. The night we arrived, I was sick due to a crazy bus ride! They had plenty of power aid on hand for me, which was a huge blessing! We would stay here again.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was adequate and the bed comfortable, but the shower was weak with limited warm water. The whirlpool was not operating but the pool was cool and refreshing. Need to be able to navigate stairs as there are no rooms on the main floor. Breakfast was limited but fresh... eggs cooked to order. A little hard to find as the entrance is not clearly marked. Only a block off the beach :)

The staff was really helpful and attentive, always had good recommendations for places to see and facilitated taxis when necessary. The room was spacious, good air conditioning, fast wifi, and good water pressure in the shower. The space felt safe and it was well kept. Walking distance to playa murciélago, shopping and restaurants.

The location is in a safe neighbourhood, 5 minutes walking around o Supermaxi and close to the beach. Our room had a spectacular view of the ocean.

Waking up to the sound of waves was the best of the stay. Amazing view of the beach and open spaces. Staff were friendly and tried to accommodate our needs as best they could however as not a busy season at times it was hard to find some help. Food could improve. Having a safe, quiet and beautiful place by the beach that is also pet friendly is a wonderful combination. Would return and recommend.

Staying at Villa Kite was a fabulous experience. The hotel is beautiful, modern, clean, and in front of the beach. I reserved the room in front of the oceans and it was great sleeping with the waves sounds. I loved the area, the hotel, the people working there were SUPER kind and accommodating. My only wish was that the room was bigger and the mattress more comfortable.

I can not say anything bad about this Hotel. The place is right in front of beach. The staff was super friendly, everything very clean. The owner Andres was very accommodating and resourceful. Also they have one of the best Kite School in Ecuador or anywhere. Xavier whom is the main Instructor is awesome. I took my time and did the course in 4 days.
