The attendants /valet people were very nice. I’ve stayed there before in a regular room that I reserved, directly from their website. We were greeted with a cocktail drink and we were invited to have a seat in the lobby area while my husband checked us in. The room itself was very nice, clean and beautiful. We had a plate of cookies & pieces of chocolate treats waiting for us in the room. This time, I reserved the Presidential Suite through Expedia . There were no seats or couches in the lobby for the rest of my party to sit, while I checked in, nor we were offered a drinks. Our room was not ready at check in time (3:00 p.m.). So we had to go to the restaurant to get something to eat in the meantime. Finally, at 3:30 is when our room became available. The jacuzzi had pine tree leaves/debris. The water temperature was lukewarm and the water pressure was weak. Because of the inconvenience of not having our room ready, the front desk allowed me to do a late checkout. The Spa was not able to accommodate 3 people at a time. Each person had to wait 30 minutes to 45 in between. Which made it difficult for us to enjoy the rest of our day. So, I decided not to proceed with the reservation.

Beautiful hotel inside and out. The best part is how friendly and helpful all the staff is at all times. We were greeted with complimentary drinks for the whole family! Stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with my spouse and 3 kids. The rooms are very comfortable and super clean. There were a lot complimentary snacks and complimentary drinks (juice, water, beer!) in fridge. The hotel restaurant has amazing food! There is a roof top bar with great drinks and great views! I really can’t think of a single thing that went wrong — everything was perfect. We will definitely stay here again when we go back to Morelia.

Very comfortable, clean, safe and the staff was absolutely lovely. It is a bit pricey when it comes to having breakfast there but it’s worth it! Just be prepared. Gorgeous view of Morelia from the balcony.

The hotel was very clean and had all of the amenities you could ask for, with onsite restaurant and bar. Staff was attentive and helpful, and the layout of the property was unique and amazing.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with beautiful smiles and excellent service! Our bellhop/valet attendant Gabriel was awesome !! He was helpful, gave us a mini tour, and provided fantastic service with a smile!! We had dinner at the restaurant and everything was delicious!!! Rebekah was helpful from the moment of reservation as well! Room service was a hit too! We will be back!!

Very quaint place in a very central location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They offered coffee, orange juice and delicious cookies in the morning. The room was very comfortable, spacious and very clean. there was also a lovely common space outside the rooms with several table sets. We loved Morelia and would have stayed longer at this hotel if there had been a vacancy.

Our room was an Apt. We were very comfy and within walking distances to the central historical view points. Many place to eat and the area felt very safe. Theres a convenient store right up the st. where you can resupply (water, snacks ect).

Staff was super friendly. Complimentary regional coffee and fresh local pastries in the morning. Very comfy and within walking distance of all historic attractions.

My wife and I had a great time at the Cantera Diez. The staff were uniformly courteous and efficient, and we felt very welcome from the moment we walked in. There was a heat wave going on in Morelia the weekend we were there and the air conditioning in room worked wonderfully well! Our body clocks were a bit off the first night and we ended up ordering dinner very late - the restaurant accommodated our request and brought "room service" up to the cozy second floor lounge. You can't beat the location - directly across the street from the front of Cathedral! I think this is the best "hotel breakfast view" that I have ever experienced anywhere in the world (you can have breakfast under the front arches with amazing view of Cathedral). We will definitely stay again - hope to make it for Dia De Los Muertos sometime!

We spent five nights in a superb suite directly facing the cathedral and have only praise for this boutique hotel. A top quality renovation of a 300 year old historic building -- tastefully decorated with vaults, safes and cheque printers as tribute to its prior incarnation as a bank. Moses, the reception manager, is a quiet-spoken and humble man who met every one of our service requests and arranged a city walking tour, and two day tours to Patzcuaro and the Monarch Butterly sanctuary. The restaurant at the front of the hotel opens onto the extremely lively sidewalk under the portales; great people watching. The staff there were friendly and efficient, and the included breakfast menu never missed during our stay. Our suite featured 15 foot high ceilings and tastefully meshed modern decor with historic stone. Noise from the street and cathedral bells was considerable, but the interior bedroom is insulated by the large living room and heavy wood shutters that close over the balcony French doors. Overall, this hotel was the best value surprise we encountered on our meandering trip through the Mexican central highlands.

The hotel is an antique house very well conserved. It has only 15 suites, some are master suites inside the house with an elegant decoration and some other are junior suits located at the top of the roof with a modern decoration. All rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The details at the hotel such as having coffee service outside the room in a nice and quite garden was very relaxing. The hotel is located in front of the Cathedral and the Plaza as well as close to many markets and museums just from walking distance. The hotel restaurant is nice and serves great meal. It was an excellent choice to spend some holidays in Morelia with my family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We fould the staff so very friendly from the moment we arrived. Learning the history of the building, wandering the halls and sitting in the enclosed patio to soak up the atmosphere were part of the charm of our stay. The view from the terrace of the cathedral is unparralled! The rooms are extremely comfortable, with a perfect blend of old-world feel with up-to-date luxury. Everything from start to finish was just WOW!

My stay was nothing short of magical — I felt like (and was treated like) royalty throughout my entire stay. The hotel itself was beautiful and pristine, with cleanliness and sanitation being an obvious priority. The staff was incredibly friendly, and was very patient with my less-than-perfect Spanish. The food, which I enjoyed each morning, was 10/10 excellent. The valet parking was very convenient, and all other hotel amenities helped make my stay an amazing one. I highly recommend staying here, especially for the beautiful view of the cathedral and proximity to so many things in the downtown area!

Amazing hotel, with perfect location in the historic center of Morelia. Building of the Hotel is 400 years old and Hotel is working 300 years at the same building. So beautiful and specious rooms, cleanliness on the top level and room was soundproof so not any kind of noise from the street was able to be heard. Bed was super comfortable… Staff from the reception was super helpful and very kind on each one of the request and questions. Especially I would like say thanks to Vivian and Minerva. Restaurant is looking amazing with garden and closed area and food was just perfect and delicious.

Beautiful Hotel with very friendly staff! The bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing. The service in the restaurant was a little slow and the food wasn't amazing, but the ambiance was great. The steak was too salty and the Caesar salad was very fishy tasting and it had mustard mixed into the dressing. The drinks were very good. We had the mezcal cocktail and it was so good!

It’s hard to explain in words how amazing this property is. The staff is exceptional and staying here was the pinnacle of our trip. The beauty in visiting Morelia lies in La Soledad. The restaurant was amazing. The security makes the property feel safe and will be always at your service. There’s only 1 place in Morelia to stay if you want to have an amazing time. Beyond grateful.

Beautiful hotel with old charm but with modern facilities. Our corner room was a bit small but very elegant and clean. The bed and pillows were amazing…very comfortable!! The restaurant has a lot of greenery around it and the food is delicious

I was so excited to stay at this amazing hotel and I was not disappointed! The attention to detail in the entire place was incredible. The service staff were so attentive and friendly. The decor was breathtaking. I felt safe and comfortable my entire stay. So happy I stayed here.

We stayed here back in 2020 during COVID and found it very comfortable, safe and clean. This trip we noted the rooms, at least ours, had undergone a nice renovation. The beds were super comfy with a choice of soft or firm pillows. It's quiet and easy walking to area shopping and dining venues. Breakfast was included and buffet style. Staff is professional, friendly and helpful.

My experience here was amazing! Starting of with the personnel, they were kind and very helpful. A brief story of thier personnel, we went on a hike and our shoes got dirty with mud. We called to see if they had a laundry service, which they do but our flight was in a couple hours. So one kind gentlemen that worked in the hotel washed our shoes. Their attention is on point like no other. The rooms are clean, beautiful interior, great wifi, modern bathrooms that are clean, nice gym, great pool to relax but not to dive in, breakfast is enjoyable, wonderful architecture, and once again the people that work there are awsome! When its time to sleep, you sleep. Its mostly quiet and great atmosphere. I will be coming back to this hotel!

This Holiday Inn Express exceeded my expectations. The architectural style was perfect Spanish motif. The rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious. Breakfast is included which saves time in the morning. The location is on a main street and there are many restaurants and a very upscale mall across the street. We took a taxi from the Morelia airport to this hotel. While the US State Department issues safety and security warnings about the area, I felt safe and secure at all times. I have stayed here several times for several days at a time and will return.

We are checking out today and this hotel has been a real treat. Staff is very friendly and helpful, facilities and rooms were spotless. Valet helpful with luggage, delivering Ice and anything requested. Breakfast is what it is and normal for a free breakfast in Mexico or the U.S. It was refreshing to have fast and good hot water, large bath towels and plenty of them. Would certainly stay here again and again.

I am actually in the hotel, the staff is friendly and attentive, I haven't really asked for anything special but they are all attentive. Breakfast is good enough for what you need in the mornings. I will suggest to have a few more running machines or cardio equipment at their gym, there are only 2 and often are very busy. As well as a business hotel needs a business center, there is only one computer at the lobby but not comfortable at all, you need to be standing. The hotel looks a little old style and needs maybe some renovation and refreshment, being in the hotel industry we see details that not every guest see. I am still here for an other two nights so I hope everything will continue as it is. If you are coming to Morelia for business and not too high expectations this is a good place, internet works well and is clean...

Simply AMAZING little hotel... this is a hidden gem in Morelia Historic district. Modern look and decoration. - Price are lower than competition and they offer more amenities than competition.. unbeatable. More comfort for Less Money. - Staff is very helpful, attentive and ready all the time. - Rooms are very comfortable and functional. Bed are super comfy. Shower comes out with very good water pressure. Very clean and quiet. - Air Conditioner was great.. yes.. AIR CONDITIONER... you want to have it in Morelia... - safe Parking lot available within few meters or park outside.. the street is not busy at all. Hotel has surveillance cams outside. - Breakfast included ( Coffee, fruits and yogurt). you can order additional items at very affordable prices ( eggs, toasts, etc) - Location: it is 3 blocks from Catedral. Historic District street are well guarded by Tourist Police officers. - WIFI is free, fast and reliable RECOMENDED 100%.. stayed 11 nights and i have not regrets.

The bed was very clean and comfy. We slept real good because our room was dark and quiet like we like it. Everyone was very polite and made things available right away. The shower was awesome. Lots of hot water and while under the running water I felt like I was given a massage. They provided water bottles everyday. The continental breakfast was toast, fresh fruit, coffee, juice. It was just right. The coffee was delicious.

The hotel is in a great location! In walking distance to shops, restaurants and the markets and located right in the historic center The woman at check in (I don't remember her name) was so lovely and helpful! The hotel itself is very nice. Our room was so comfortable with a comfortable bed and very nice shower. Breakfast was very nice. Great coffee, fruit, toast and natural juice we friendly staff. It was so nice that we decided to stay an extra night!

Very clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Gorgeous view of the cathedral along the 2 block walk to the centro. Continental breakfast of deliciously fresh in-season fruit with yogurt and granola, hearty multi grain toast with butter and pineapple preserves plus coffee and juice absolutely hit the spot.

The Gamma is located in a busy and modern part of Morelia. The modern vibe is nice, and the rooms are clean and comfortable, if maybe a bit small, especially the bathrooms. The beds are nice and comfortable.

A group of four of us stayed here just for one night before leaving Morelia the next morning. While it was a short stay the room and facilities were clean, efficient, and comfortable. The hotel staff also arrange a taxi for us at 6am in the morning and it was waiting when we got done to the lobby 10 minutes early. Overall I would recommend this hotel to other that are looking for a clean and comfortable hotel.

The hotel was very good. Clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was very good but very expensive relatively to the restaurant price around. Two issues: the stuff doesn’t speak English ( cannot really help with quitions or recomadations) and the location is wrong. Next time I’ll pay fee extra dollars and will take Hotel downtown Morelia.

Hotel Meson is located just a few blocks from the main historic district in Morelia. The master suite we reserved was a spacious two-story affair. King size bed on the top floor with jacuzzi bath/shower. There was a double bed and half bath on the bottom floor with a nice sitting area and couch. Desayuno was included and was generous: fresh fruit, yogurt, bread, eggs and bacon or ham. The staff was very friendly and quite helpful. Most spoke some English.

We have just returned from a two night stay u at this hotel and recommend it unreservedly if you want a good value, well located hotel near to the centre of town ( 5-10mins stroll). The hotel was quiet and provided clean rooms with a good shower. A continental breakfast is included in the price - not huge but more than adequate with plenteous coffee. There are innumerable options available close by if you want to eat/dine out. We organised a memorable visit to see the Monarch butterflies from the hotel - we went to El Rosario sancuary, a truly memorable experience. Organising it from the hotel made it much cheaper. The journey to the site is two and a half hours, might appear long but it is full of interest, and the day was not tiring. Staff at hotel friendly and very helpful.

We stayed here 3 nights and reserved on Expedia which meant that our $40 per night including a continental breakfast. The room was fine, clean, great hot shower, tv, good wifi, quiet room. We didn't understand until the last day that we could have paid more and had a hot breakfast but still we were served fruit with yogurt and granola, orange juice, coffee and toast with jam each day. Ask if you want eggs, etc. as they may not mention it. My husband forgot his passport with money and camera in a drawer by the bed and we only noticed the next day and called and came to pick it up and everything was returned just as he left it. Very honest. About 3 blocks to an OXXO which is like a 7-11, can get coffee at 6 am! Parking was fine as well.

our stay here was excellent. we were greeted cheerfully and escorted to a neat very clean room . the bathroom featured large towels, toiletries and plenty of hot water. a continental breakfast of coffee, toast, a tall glass of juice and a large fruit plate topped with cream and granola was served daily. wifi is in the common areas of the hotel. the location was perfect. the hotel was just a few blocks from the center of town in a quiet neighborhood near many attractions, great shopping and restaurants all a short stroll from the accommodation. buses and taxi services are plentiful. tours can be arranged by the hotel or at the central plaza. we enjoyed ourstay and will surely return. w

The staff were the highlight of our three day stay. They couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. They arranged our tour to see the Mariposa butterfy reserve in El Rosario. The room was clean & tidy and the continental breakfast with fresh local produce was very tasty. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in a smaller , low-key and quiet hotel venue.

I have stayed in many hotels in Morelia, and this is by far my favorite hotel. The facility is clean, safe and centrally located to the city. What made my stay enjoyable was the service from staff. Upon checking in, they greeted me by offering me something to drink. Then I was provided with a bar of organic soap brought by Oaxaca. My room was cleaned daily, and I was provided with all the necessities (shampoo/conditioner, lotion, and soap). I was also provided with ear plugs for the noise, but I didn’t use it as the noise from the nearby restaurants/shops were minimal. My room was spacious, and I had a window. It also offered A/C unit and a large television. The WiFi signal was strong. In the mornings, the staff provided complimentary coffee and bread. They also offer breakfast for additional costs. The breakfast and service were outstanding. Most importantly, at night, they lock the doors to the hotel and have a security guard. The location is super convenient and walking distance to downtown Morelia. Anytime I would return to the hotel, the staff would greet me and offer me a drink. Upon checking out, I was provided with a gift, a blouse which was handcrafted by locals in Oaxaca, and my husband was given a bag of coffee, also from Oaxaca.

The high rating is warranted. The hotel is centrally located. It's an old home but renovated with all the modern conveniences--comfortable beds and pillows, a large flat screen TV, large bathroom with a walk-in shower. It was all very comfortable and spacious. The staff was welcoming and helpful. They offer a tasty, filling breakfast on weekends: strong coffee, eggs, bread, fruit, Mexican sweet breads.

Beautiful and quaint property by the historic centre of Morelia; walking distance to the main cathedral, square, and all the dining options. The atrium/lobby was spacious with a beautiful skylight, and the complimentary breakfast snack service (delicious coffee, fruit, and pastries) was a delight. The staff were so unbelievably kind and helpful!! They were very sweet, spoke very good English, and attended to all our needs, even providing cultural artisanal welcome and departure gifts and a list of places to visit to ease our stay. They helped us arrange a tour to see the monarch butterflies at El Rosario sanctuary (priced separately) which was also an incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience. The room was large with high ceilings and the bed very firm and comfortable. Bathroom and sink area was clean and I liked all the copper touches throughout the hotel. The AC in the room was easy to control and the wifi was fast. We would definitely stay at NaNa Vida again if we ever came back to Morelia, and we only wish they had more locations throughout Mexico so we could keep supporting them on our future travels.

The room (#8) was spacious, with thick walls and heavy glass in the doors so we heard no noise at all with our door closed. It was so silent throughout the night that we slept past 8 a.m. which was the perfect time for our made to order delicious breakfasts. All the staff was quiet, gentle, friendly, and efficient. The Canadian government advisory recommended avoiding this area because of gang activity. We saw not one thing that was disturbing but we did see on the roads in the area many trucks with military style police standing in the back with rifles ready to stop any gang activity. It really worked to keep everyone aware they were ready & ever present. We felt beautifully protected and are so glad we proceeded with our travel plans! One hint: reserve a table at the new Diego restaurant: beautiful ambience, delicious food, served beautifully, and priced better than some of the other 'good' restaurants that were not as pleasing. We wished we had just eaten all our meals there instead of sampling others.

I first stayed here a few years ago, when it operated under a different name. It's still the owners I believe and even more of a bargain now, given the peso exchange rate, than it was then! On both occasions, I was in the same double room. It faces onto the street, so can be quite noisy until the traffic days down. But the windows close firmly and there is air-con. The room was very large, with two comfy armchairs and a wash basin in the room itself rather than in the bathroom. There was an excellent selection of soaps, shampoos etc. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and several are keen to practice their English, so it's a good place to stay for non-Spanish speakers. There is free valet parking for those with their own cars. Note that from mid Saturday afternoon through into Sunday the street outside is pedestrian only, but the staff handled the parking extremely well and brought the car back to the side street when it was time for us to leave. Our deal did not include breakfast, but the restaurant didn't look especially appealing and we were happy to walk a stones throw away along thew main avenue, where there is a plethora of choices. The courtyard where the restaurant and bar are located is a bit overwhelmed by cooking smells.

Beuatiful hotel with an amazing design in a center of the city. Excepcionaly friendly stuff, always helpful. The room were spacious and clean. Recommended for families as well. Great restaurant downstairs. If travelling again to Morelia, definitely this is our choice!

Pros: The hotel is beautiful. The location in the city center is convenient for tourists. The beds were very comfortable. We had a small balcony to look out onto a side street. We were able to watch some TV shows in english. The food at the restaurant is tasty. Portions are not large but that is to be expected for a nicer restaurant. Everything is reasonably priced.

The property is beautiful and has a very interesting past. Our double Queen room was spacious and had an old Mexico wealth feel to it. Air conditioning works really good. No iton, but there is a clothed steamer that works great. The breakfasts were tasty, but don't expect huge portions. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Cathedralnis just 2 blocks away and there are tondof stores and restaurants around. Our room was at front of building and there was noise on the weekends till late evening, but not too extreme. It us a main street, so it was expected. Water pressure is great and plenty of hot water. only complaints are no elevator and beds were very firm.Loved it!

We loved staying at the Herencia Hotel. The atmosphere and decor is extremely attractive. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and provided excellent service. We ate breakfast there every morning and had several evening meals. The food was delicious, attractively presented with excellent service. The Herencia is centrally located. A little fridge in the room would have been nice and our room faced the street which was noisy. Other than that, a perfect score. . We will definitely go back to the Herencia.

I liked the location, right off the main plàza and close to restaurants, many shops, and tourist attractions. The hotel had a key card to use on several locked gates on the way to the elevator, as well as the elevator itself. The buffet style breakfast was convenient although mostly corn dishes and corn muffins, juices and coffee. Apparently included breakfast was an option in making the reservation because I was asked if I had the coupon. The building itself was attractive with it's 2 atriums. And I was happy with the in-room safe.

If you are staying in Morelia, this is the place to stay. It is in the heart of the historic district. The parks and shopping areas are all around the hotel area. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and with modern amenities, Hotel restaurants are good. Rooms with windows can be a bit noisy from street traffic and nearby bars, but you have a view of the cathedral and the square.

Great hotel upon arrival checked in at 9am and immediately got our room our room was spacious with a king size bed water pressure was great clean room very cozy staff is very friendly and attentive especially Noe and Rafa very well located everything in the historic center is at walking distance .Would definitely come back.I almost forgot they also have parking valet very convenient.

Great location, such friendly and professional staff, breakfast options, although a bit limited, was really good and tasty, nothing beats having breakfast in a nice courtyard. Overall had a great time. I requested a room with a view and they delivered!

The breakfast was delicious! The breakfast room was very clean and a pleasant area. The staff were all very friendly and attentive.

We stayed in the Jr Suite and it was perfect - separate area from bedroom with fridge & coffee pot. Bedroom was quiet, bed comfortable, shower hot & strong, impeccably clean, nicely decorated. There is interesting artwork throughout the hotel. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit, eggs, etc. Although there was no bar, they will sell you a bottle of good wine which you can take to the balcony for your own afternoon happy hour. Located a few blocks from the Plaza, the area is safe & quiet. The St Augustine food market is only a block away and offers great, authentic regional food. The staff were extremely helpful in arranging a guided tour of the city and helping us with arrangements for visiting the Monarchs and storing our luggage while we were away overnight. Gracious hosts, nice room, good location.

We stayed two nights in this 7 room boutique hotel. The location is very good, only 3 blocks - 10 minute walk to the Cathedral and most interesting places. We arrived by car and they made a space in front of the hotel on the street. We have been to Morelia several times and the noise at the weekend in other hotels was always a issue but not here, it was quiet. We had taken the "junior suite" which was a great value. Spacious with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and comfortable sitting area made this a great deal. Breakfast was included and better then most, it was served in a nice sitting area. The staff was outstanding, friendly and helpful. Our bed was comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water and the room had a a/c and TV (We did not use the TV but it had cable channels) Our room and all spaces we used were very clean and WiFi was available through all the hotel. We will book this hotel again on our next trip to Morelia, it is a beautiful town.

This modern boutique B&B was a refreshing architectural delight. At first we were concerned about the lack of a window in he bedroom but we soon discovered that this was a plus - no city street noise and no dust ! The a/c was silently efficient, the room decor and ,the quality of the bathroom toiletries were high-end. The breakfast was amazing...12 0xs of fresh squeezed orange juice plus a full meal served with friendly quiet efficiency, was notable. Highly recommended. Morelia Centre was everything we could have wished for. The friendly helpful people and the cleanliness of such an old city was remarkable. .We walked everywhere. Three days seemed hardly enough!

This is a very comfy small boutique hotel just a few blocks away from the central plaza of Morelia. This is my second visit to the M concepto hotel and I would definitely come back. Room was small but very clean with a really sweet little patio off to the side I spent two afternoons out there enjoying a cold beer. $35usd a night. Perfect spot! Dinner with 2 drinks was $25usd. A bargain!!

The staff were the best - so accommodating and helpful. Good internet. Great showers. AC working well. Great price value. Located in the historical centre but on a quiet street. Easy to walk to all the sightseeing and find your way around. Staff was super accommodating and friendly. I arrived in the early morning and was able to store my luggage until check in time and use the courtyard couches to rest for a little. I really appreciated Mario's attention and follow-up on my request to change room. He was very helpful. Communication with the hotel prior to arrival was great (use translation app). Mario also helped organize a tour to the El Rosario Monarch Butterfly Reserve. The room was on the small side but comfortable enough. Firm mattress, soft linen, lots of pillows in different density to choose from. Room was cleaned daily, towels and linen changed. The hotel may have seen better days and could use some renovation, but the overall ambience made up for it. I enjoyed the breakfast on the roof deck with fabulous views over the city to the mountains. Even got some nice sunset pictures. Also convenient is a corner store very close by.

Two night stay with friends. Very friendly staff, clean rooms with breakfast included. Was advertised as a queen bed, but more like a double, which was not a big deal. The bed was clean and comfortable. Quiet area close to everything.

The room and hotel was very clean, extra clean as a matter of fact. The employees were very friendly and very helpful..It is very close to all the history and some very good resturants within two blocks or so..Very safe and well lit...I very much enjoyed my stau

The rooms were well kept. The breakfast is a light buffet, mostly bread, fruit, and cereals. It was very convenient walking around, and the hotel itself felt very safe.

Very comfortable and excellent service! Good breakfast. The smell of cleaning supplies was a little strong though and the wifi had trouble going into my room. Everything else was good.

The hotel sits right in the middle of a small park, so it was surrounded by threes and a calm atmosphere. It has its private parking and it is always monitored. One of the rooms we were assigned to had an amazing 180° view of the city and nearby hills. This room was a bit chilly but heating worked just fine. The other room was always incredibly warm and cozy. There was a fair nearby but it wasn't a problem in any way. In each floor there are cookies and coffee for the grabs and on our floor we also had a communal puzzle. The hotel has a restaurant, a bar and an open air terrace, all offer good service and food in generous quantities, prices are also decent. There was a pool, but Morelia can get cold in winter, so maybe better leave it for the summer. The area is well located, incredibly safe, quiet, and there are at least 2 shopping centers (restaurants, bars, super, coffe shops, banks) just around the corner. The city center is like 15 to 20 min by cab, but we preferred to remain in the premises, which was incredible. Correlation price-value was definitely worth it. Good for family trips and to have a good rest.

Very nice hotel in a beautiful neighbourhood in Morelia. There are a lot of coffee places, mexican food restaurants and parks right next to the hotel. The room was perfect! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was huge and clean. The old town is 20 min away driving distance.

Staff was so friendly & helpful. Beautiful facility & grounds. Clean room & comfy bed & plentiful pillows. A/C was a plus. No washcloths were provided but we received 2 towels. Hot shower with good water pressure. We will definitely be back!

Clean, comfortable. Slept well. It felt high end at a reasonable price. Loved the bar and restaurant. Staff was attentive. Would come back.

Suite was large and clean. No a/c or heat, but didn't need it when we were there. Only had breakfast in the restaurant once, it was very good. Only real complaints would be that on the last few days, no coffee packs were left in our room for the coffee maker, and the bar across the street opened and was extremely loud. That noise went on until early morning, but we were usually so tired, it didn't really bother us much for sleeping. If you are a late sleeper, the traffic noise is also pretty extreme. For the price of our stay, I would definitely recommend this hotel. I think it was an exceptional bargain. Would definitely stay again.

Note like the names suggest, these are suites not ordinary hotel rooms, they're very spacious, clean, with balcony with city and mountain views, flat screen TV , premium bedding, security box, A/C , small fridge, excellent location, drugstore open 24hrs just downstairs, very clean and good service. 2 downsides: No Elevator, be prepared to work out. Very Noisy, from wed to sat, the open bars across the street blast the place with loud music until 4 am, not on sunday or monday though, but there is no way around it, if you can't sleep heavy, join the party, because it gets loud.

The property was nice and clean renivated, on the hallways there are cameras that make me fell safe since I'm a single women. I stood there for 4 days in May 2022 staff was friendly and very helpfull. I had breakfast there the food was good and the price was reasonable. Overall it was a good experience and will stay there again in the future because it was close to restaurants and shopping centers

As the name suggests, they're suites, not ordinary hotel rooms, I stayed 4 nights, I was happy, very spacious, 2 rooms, with flat screen TV, A/C Security box, mountain views, balcony, great location, near popular mall, pharmacy open 24 hrs, downstairs. Only 2 downsides No Elevator, be prepared for a workout Very Noisy!! Most popular open bars in town lay across the street, blasting the air with very loud music till 4 am, wed to sat, don't say you didn't know. Use cotton balls on your ears to sleep, or cross the road and join the party.

This is a charming hotel on the hillside above downtown Morelia. Easy cab ride to the Zocalo. There are several buildings located around beautifully kept gardens. Breakfast is served in a large restaurant with views over the city. There's a small outdoor terrace off the restaurant which is a lovely place for a drink in the evening to enjoy the city lights. Our room had a comfortable queen bed, small table and chair, fireplace and good bathroom with shower. Coffee maker in the room as well. The fireplace was wonderful in the evening as it can get cold in January! Staff came and set it up and even lit it and we went to sleep with the warm glow from the dying embers. We had a view out to the gardens but some units do have full city views. This was our second stay as we have friends we visit in Morelia and I expect we may be back next year. Staff are friendly and efficient. There is some English spoken though it helps to speak basic Spanish as this hotel seems to have mostly Mexican families. There is a nice looking pool area but we've never had time to use the pool. If you want a hotel that's a short ride from the downtown core with great rates, good breakfast (wide range of buffet options, both Mexican and other and also fresh cooked eggs to order) and helpful staff then you should look at the Villas San Jose.

Hotel perched on the mountain overlooking the city of Morelia. Quaint unique cabins have amazing views off the city, especially at night. Restaurant has great food and views to match. Rooms have special touches to remind you of your location: murals, exposed wood beams and, local pottery. Garden features local plants and stone sculptures of masks and saints. Immaculate gardens and pool area. Rooms come with complimentary fireplace and firewood serivice for a romantic evening on a chilly night. Locals dine at the on-site restaurant. We live in Mexico and enjoyed the charm of this weekend escape.Very pet friendly.

This is a beautiful rustic well maintained hotel. Amazing views of the city. Restaurant was amazing as well. Everything is very well kept, clean, and enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend. There’s also plenty of parking in case you have a rental car.

We always go back to this hotel mainly because of the amazing views of the city, the beautiful grounds and the restaurant. The food is one of the best in Morelia at affordable prices and the waiters are always welcoming and friendly. They always make us feel like home. The rooms are rustic and nice, nothing fancy but we like the style. We just wish they'd let us use the fireplace during winter. Can't wait to be back!

The garden landscaping was beautiful, each suite had a private terrace and mine had a view if the city lights! Staff was outstanding and very accoodating. I highly recommend this hotel... it is located in the prestigious area of “ balcones de Santa Maria “ a hillside overlooking the historic center of city and just above the zoo. Quiet, safe and views.

It was very nice, the front desk ladies were very helpful and fulfilled my requests. The room was very spacious, clean, with a bit of a view. The hotel is within walking diatance of restaurants, shopping and main attractions. I would stay at Hotel Marcella again

Stayed here for couple days and I enjoyed it. Rooms were clean , staff were friendly ( limited English though) , and noise level wasn't bad at all. Key features -Great location -very clean and safe -No A/C. But a ceiling fan. But room was still on the hot side. This was in April... can't imagine the heat in summer though -Private parking (Gated) -24/7 front -free bottled water Overall I enjoyed my stay. It was affordable And very clean.

Mostly friendly staff. The rooms are inexpensive, but pretty comfortable. Small elevator. Probably the only inconvenience. Parking is a few doors down, safe,covered,with cameras. Streets in Morelia are bad. Here is no different. It's on the edge of el Centro. An outdoor market around the corner for fruits,vegetables, etc.. Just a few blocks from a lot of things if you want to stay in and see the historic City Center. I extended my stay on property and will return to this hotel. They're pretty accomodating. No pool or gym,but there's an inexpensive gym nearby called EcoGym. I've stayed in a dozen hotels in Morelia. This is in the top 3 and one of the 4 least expensive. The others weren't as good

The location is so central and absolutely perfect for exploring centro histórico on foot. It is in a beautiful old building, which was a pleasure to be in, and right across from the Palacio Clavijero, so some of the rooms have an awesome view across to the domed building and gardens. Bed was comfy, lots of storage space in the locker under the bed, plugs and lights in the right places, hot showers, super clean, nice staff, felt safe, all good!

Everything was great! The staff was helpful, the beds where comfortable and had good privacy, the bathrooms where fresh and the building we lived in was really cool! Also perfect location in the middle of the center. We would definitely come back! :)

Comfy beds that you can lock up. Very clean and uncluttered in an old historic building. Bathrooms were spacious and clean. Located right in centro.

This hostal is located in the heart of downtown. Very central. The wifi worked well. Staff was cool. It’s an old building with modern renovations. Your bed is private with a key for both your bed and locker underneath. Hot water worked well.

If you're going to Morelia, this place is perfect. It is at the mall, so you have restaurants, shopping and a premium grocery store with high end stuff to make the stay at home order in Mexico tolerable, better yet enjoyable. The view and hospitality of this place make it #1! The staff here are the best and keep everyone safe. Get a room with the city view and you can see the beauty of Morelia.

one of the best stays ever. I visited Morelia for a wedding and decided to stay at Fiesta Inn Altozano. The location is beautiful a few minutes from downtown and cheap 2.00 uber to cool bars and restaurants. The service was exceptional . The front desk staff (Miguel Angel) went above and beyond from the time we checked in to checkout. There was Alba, who is the friendliest and very knowledgeable supervisor or manger who gave us awesome recommendations for bars and resauraunts and places to hang out. I'm not sure if shes in management but she should be. Alba made our trip amazing and I would highly recommend talking to her for any of your travel needs, she made herself available to make sure we had a great experience at Fiesta Inn. I honestly think Alba should be general manager or hotel director because of the way she caters to guests and her expert knowledge of the surrounding areas. We will definitely be back soon !

I liked this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. I loved the pool. It was a perfect temp for the chilly day. It is a bit far from downtown but I knew that and wanted it like that, it wasn’t far from shopping though. I took a $6 Uber to the center when I wanted to go. The views from my room were also amazing. I recommend this hotel

If you are looking for a comfortable and affordable yet modern hotel to stay, this is your option. It is very modern and the rooms are very comfortable. The personal is very thoughtful and they'll help you to make your stay more pleasant. It's hard to get to the hotel (more if you go without a car), taxis might be expensive. So, if you are looking for a hotel to stay, relax and visits the city (not so often), then this is your option. The hotel has a great view from the city by the way if you are looking for some shopping, Real Inn is located right in a mall.

From check in with the friendly and efficient staff to check out this hotel exceeded my expectations. I have been living in Mexico for 16 months now and have accepted less than giid service as part of the norm here. This hotel was clean, the water pressure in the shower was great, the restaurant food was good and located directly accross the street frim a mall with more choices for dining was excellent. An exceptional restaurant, Emiliano’s, with Italian cuisine was excellent and very accomodating on Saturday evening without a reservation. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The Holiday Inn is close to the town center and historical sites. If and when I return to Morelia, I would definitely book this hotel.

Hotel is conveniently located, right across the street from a large shopping center, close to restaurants and not far from down town. I liked their restaurant and enjoyed the breakfast buffet, great waiters and waitresses. Very clean and all the employees were very courteous and helpful, has secure parking. Only reason I gave it a 4 on upkeep, is because running track needs a little repair. I was amazed by how quiet the rooms are, no street noise at all. I will definerly stay here again.

We enjoyed the restaurant and breakfast buffet. The personnel were friendly and attentive. Parking was accessible and easy to get into. Surrounding restaurants were clean and the food was great. We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is old and does need some refurnished (old carpet) but they have excellent service. The rooms were very clean. We had a room facing the gardens and it was great. There is a nice and clean pool which was excellent for our 8 year old. But a bit too chilly for our toddler. The breakfast was quite okay with a variety of fruit, chilaquiles, and other options. And also you can ask for eggs any style or pan cakes. There is a mall just across the street with lots of restaurants and shops. We walked to Solar de Villagran just a block away and had a great meal in a lovely place. The things we did not like was that they have plastic disposable cups for water and coffee in the rooms. In my personal opinion it looks very cheap and not very environmentally friendly. Also while they are cleaning the rooms all the linens are left outside each room so it is not a nice view of the hotel with all the dirty linens while you are walking down the aisles. Overall it was a great stay.
