This hotel should have a perfect 10.0 rating on booking.com. First of all, it is a beautiful hotel. There are gorgeous views from the lobby, the restaurant, the bar on the top floor and from all the rooms. We awoke to see a stunning winter wonderland from the panoramic floor to ceiling windows in our room. Second, our room was large with a very comfortable bed, a refrigerator, and plenty of outlets. Third, the food in the restaurant was fabulous. We had dinner there and the breakfast buffet. The variety and quality of the food was outstanding. It would be worth staying here for the breakfast buffet alone! Furthermore, they were able to accommodate my vegan gluten-free diet with plant based dairy products and the most delicious gluten-free toast I have ever had. The staff was courteous and helpful, the elevator is amazingly fast, and the parking garage is next to the hotel. You pay for it separately, but it is very convenient and you get secure, enclosed parking. The hotel is next to the Narvik WWII museum which is a must-see. The same building also houses tourist information, a library, a gift shop and a café. My only regret is that we stayed only one night. I hope to return one day.

Most Positive Experience – A Perfect Stay! This was by far one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive, making me feel truly welcome. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and offered a stunning view that took my breath away every morning. The breakfast was exceptional—fresh, delicious, and with plenty of variety to suit every taste. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm, relaxing, and perfectly suited for both leisure and business. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. Everything was perfect for my stay, and I can’t wait to come back again. This hotel is an absolute must-stay!

The Scandic Narvik hotel is located centrally with terrific panoramic views across the fjord and mountains from the rooftop bar. The building is modern and welcoming and the staff were lovely and friendly, especially the lady on breakfast service - nothing was too much trouble for her. Everywhere was beautifully clean and we slept well in comfortable beds with no noise disturbance. It is very close to shopping facilities and convenient to access activities, although we used the local taxi service a lot as we weren't confident walking far in snowy and icy conditions.

The hotel located in the downtown Narvik and is a 5-minute walk from the bus station and about a 20-minute walk from the train station. The room was spacious, the staff helpful and friendly, everything was clean, the room and bed was conformable, and the Wi-Fi was good. The breakfast buffet was good and had a lot of selections, there is a restaurant and bar in the hotel, and there is shopping and restaurants close by in town.

Great views, comfortable rooms with well stocked coffee/ tea station, clean linen, clean bathroom, spacious, nice restaurant with roof top. Had a wonderful stay!

When we arrived, we were told that there are two sides in the hotel, older and newer and the receptionist gave us an upgrade to the newer side, which was very nice of them! They even asked if we wanted twin or double room and with a bath tub or shower! As booking from Booking.com, I didn't realise the two sides of the hotel and you could see the difference in the corridors. The room was clean and spacious with a big window and nice size bathroom (we chose the bathtub, which was super nice!). The view could have been better, but we had small view towards the city, otherwise it was the street next to the hotel. Room had basic hotel room amenities and we were happy with them. Nice bed, but should have asked for another extra pillow. The hotel is situated next to a shopping center and the parking is in there too, which is very convenient. Everything we needed was small walking distance away. Could have walked also to the Narvik Gondoli, but we had bad weather and decided to skip it. The best part of the hotel was the Linken restaurant on the hotels 7th floor. It was so good that we dined there 2 nights in a row. The service was very friendly and accommodating and the food was amazing! Also the view to the city is very nice from up there. We had very good time both of the evenings over there and definitely did not leave hungry!

I no longer recall what led me to choose this particular hotel, but I am glad I did. Having underestimated the distance of the airport, Evesnes/ Harstad, to Narvik (58km), and facing a threat of snow, I was a little concerned about my possible hotel choice. My first reassurance was when my daughter told me that the bus actually stopped at the hotel. And then standing there looking at the front I felt better. Entering a conventional lobby we were immediately greeted by a pleaseant young woman, who swiftly and efficiently registered us. She gave us clear directions to our rooms and briefed us on the general facilities available. We unpacked and settled in to pleasant comfortable rooms, then made our way to the restaurant and had enjoyable evening meals. Breakfast, the following morning, was equally good, buffet style but with a good selection of both hot and cold dishes. The hotel is pretty much in the centre of town and we were able to stroll to the nearby attractions with the hotel roviding a useful base. Staff were at all times pleasant, friendly and helpful; everyone seems to speak English to a good level,

It was close to all the local attractions, the bathroom was spacious enough for me and the heated tiles were a bonus, the mini fridge in the room kept my drinks chilled, the bed was extremely comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was absolutely delicious and the variety of it was amazing.

We were travelling on the Arctic train from Narvik to Stockholm. The hotel is very close so really convenient. Went for a walk up the hill behind (not all the way to the top!) and a walk down to the waterfront the next day before we caught the train. We were originally given a room in the un-renovated section of the hotel....avoid if possible! As it happened the electricity to our room wasn't working so we were graded. definitely worth it...almost like two different hotels! Ask to stay in the renovated/newer section even if it costs a little more. It's OK if you are on a very tight budget. My room rating is for the room we were upgraded to...if we had stayed in the original it would be a 2 at best. Definitely head up to the rooftop bar when it opens. Great views and excellent service. The breakfast was also one of the better spreads we have had in a few trips to Norway. Recommended!

Very close to the train station and museums. The breakfast is amazing, so many options and very well prepared. If you pay a small amount, they give you a container that you can fill with whatever you want from the breakfast buffet so you can eat it later. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Guests have access to a great 24/7 gym one block away. Bonus: this hotel is kind of a historical place, as it was used by the Germans during the war.

The hotel was very nice. The room are clean and well appointed, with good views. They could clean the windows though so we might see out better! Great dining room for the breakfast buffet. Friendly, helpful staff though not very informed on activities (they were from out of town). You can cross country ski very close to the hotel. Take the t-bar up 1/3 of the way and you’ll find a platform to depart from on your left. Not knowing that we went to the other ski circuit a 1.5 km away. There is a long hike up but then the views are stunning. Narvik is just stunning.

The hotel is basic corporate hotel: perfectly fine for a conference or an overnight stay, interior is still in the 1990’s and early 2000’s but it is very clean, the bathroom was spotless. The rooms are clean, the carpets could do with changing as they are old, and the windows need a clean, but the hotel is warm, and the staff are friendly. The breakfast is also excellent actually, they do that really well. We chose this for 2 days of skiing as it’s literally next to the lifts making a perfect location. Narvik itself is nothing special, so we preferred being here near the slopes than down by the Main Street. Thon: please refurbish your hotel. It’s a bit lacking in personality.

We loved Hotel Thon. The room was comfy and the tea, coffee and hot chocolate on tap was just wonderful for weary travellers. The staff were very helpful with the local area and the breakfast delicious.

Nice hotel and excellent breakfast that corresponding to a 5star hotel. The room is spacious and comfortable with also comfortable bed. Free coffee and tea all the time. Highly recommended.

I liked the fact that this hotel's bed was the most comfortable I'd slept among all in Norway even though the room cost less than other hotels I stayed in Norway! Very good breakfast buffet was provided. Thoughtful to include shower/bath chair for elderly and the disabled in the bathroom. Shower pressure was great too.

The views were amazing, the sleeping area so cosy and comfortable, and great little balcony. All this in such a quiet area. Perfect to relax

Very interesting modern cabin with a spectacular view. The sky window in bedroom is such lovely way to view the northern lights, I imagine(I didn’t see any as it was summer time). The balcony was a chill place to spend the morning reading a book or chatting with friends. The bed and living room/kitchen area are cozy and clean, as seen in pictures

Excellent location and facility. The inclusive ride up the mountain in a cable car was appreciated and was well worth it. The views were amazing but the location may not be the best for the northern lights on account of the coastal clouds and weather, as well as ambient lights from the town below and the illuminated ski slopes. The size was perfect and cozy for two and the amenities were excellent along with all the features as listed, The shower worked fine and took just minor management. Nice design, layout, and features all around. Stayed 5 days and could have stayed longer, Several well-stocked supermarkets nearby. Car was essential.

Magnificent view from the balcony and windows. Everything was new, neat, and clean. The kitchen is well furnished, so there is no problem to make your own dinner. I find the arrangement very smart. Beds are comfortable and the cable car / gondola lift is in the walking distance. It might be relatively hard to get there from the city center and to do the shopping, but it's absolutely worth it!

The breathtaking view and unique experience made this a great place to stay. The location overlooked the city of Narvik and the water, with the mountains beyond. It was a cozy shipping container with glass sides to get the views. The lodge was warm and cozy as well and only wish we had more time to enjoy it - off season and closes early. Got to see the Northern lights from the deck and it was amazing!

Fantastic view over the city and Fjord from the bed (Superior room), even at night with shiny city skyline lights (and Aurora if it appears). The room was nice and cozy, the bed and the sheets were very very comfortable. We would love to stay here for more days. The breakfastroom and the living room had this fantastic view, too. The rooms were also modern and nice with a fireplace, cozy furniture and coffee and tea for free. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a smaller buffet but had enough choices with omelette, cakes, breads, cheese, vegetables, cold cuts, joghurt, juices..

View from terrace and breakfast area was amazing. Nice to have a place to sit together in the evening. Clean with great views from bedrooms. Good breakfast. Reception were prompt with their email replies and helpful with suggestions. We had a great evening thanks yo the sitting area and terrace.

The view from the breakfast room alone makes this hotel exceptional. And then the view from our room was equal stunning with the mountain in the background. Narvik is very hilly, so walking to the hotel makes you appreciate the view. The room was very comfortable, and the blackout curtains were perfect for the nights of Midnight Sun.

My room had a wonderful view over the town, as did the breakfast/dining room. The breakfast itself was also excellent, a proper Nordic buffet including a delicious ham and leek omelette. The staff were very helpful on my last day when I needed to leave my luggage behind to take a walk before the evening train. The best restaurants are just 100m down the hill and then about 200-400m along the main road. Showers very powerful – always a big plus for me!

The Bogen Hostel is about 15 minutes drive from the airport. Has ample off road parking. The room I was in directly overlooked the shoreline and it was relaxing to hear the waves. The establishment has a well equipped kitchen and dining area. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable and powerful shower. As a solo traveller I felt safe and comfortable.

Great location to stop halfway from Lofoten to Tromso. Clean and comfortable , cosy room with stunning view. Great value. The most important is super friendly host , she cooked me yummy Som tum , really impressed me. Highly recommended.

Our stay at the Narvik Hotel Wivel was nothing short of outstanding. To begin with, the staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and always accommodate any need you may have. The “budget” room we stayed in certainly not as it sounds. The room was very spacious, very clean with a smart TV and a bathroom. Every morning from 7-10 we were served a breakfast which included something for everybody. If the amazing buffet they provided isn’t enough, you can also order food from the kitchen for free from some menu items. (Definitely recommend the hot chocolate) . The location is also based in a very good area as it is surrounded by convenience stores, shopping centres, restaurants as well as a short distance from the ski resort.

The location was perfect, close to the bus station and tourist information. Breakfast was exceptional with a huge choice of beautifully presented food. Staff were exceptional, very polite, and helpful. The room was very comfortable. We also had dinner in the restaurant, it was expensive but worth every krona.

This little hotel is positioned along the main road right opposite to the war museum and is a refreshing alternative to the few other big posing regular brands in town. Location doesn't really matter since Narvik is a tiny and insignificant place. Bus stop to main locations and airport is just a few meters away. The standard was simple but practical and sufficient. Nice comfortable bed. The breakfast was a surprise. At first glance it didn't look like much, but the secret was in the details. A lot of small stuff to choose from, some warm food prepared on demand. I was particularly impressed by the dark round bread the supplied fresh out of the oven every day. Together with the homemade butter a winning combination! No disturbing background music, welcoming calm atmosphere. Due to the smaller scale of the business it also was not crowded and there was no queue or battle at the buffet like you have to expect at the big hotels. TV was good, quick and responsive menu. The blends/curtains are, when closed, really keeping the daylight out. Sockets also beside the bed to charge your equipment. Good heating in the room. The stuff is helpful and most of them seem to come from the Ukraine? But if you speak English communication is no problem. The place is being renovated at the moment, I guess there might be some noise during the week? During my weekend it was quiet.

- completely clean room - very thoughtful room design - a lot of space to hang clothes, place to hang all towels - nice location not far from the station - extra good breakfast - they immediately serve tasty coffee, a lot of options to choose from the buffet (also e.g. salmon), you can order additionally e.g. fresh hot scrambled eggs - allowed us to check-in very late at night We were very satisfied overall and had a good comfortable stay.

Exceedingly friendly hotel. Breakfast is amazing, from freshly cooked to order items to fresh fruit, fruit kebabs, cereals, overnight oats, meats, cheese, breads, juices, cakes. Something for everyone. Room was fine (no lift) could do with more coat hangers as 3 isn’t many for 2 people. Bathroom is great with a lovely hot shower. Downstairs tea/coffee is always available.

Very chill atmosphere, everything is exceptionally clean and the woman's shower rooms are newly renovated. It feels cozy and familiar to be here. The kitchen is really spacious, as are all other rooms. The check-in is pretty late but you can use all rooms beforehand so it's not that big of a deal.

We had a comfortable stay at the church hostel. Good location for the bus station. It was warm and cosy and the kitchen was ok. Breakfast was good as well. Black curtains round each bunk were a good idea! We didn't have time to explore Narvik much as we left first thing for Lofoten islands. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice hostel close to the main road through Narvik. You can park right behind the hostel. Spacious and comfy beds with fresh bedlinen and towels. The kitchen is also quiet well equipped. Breakfast was good and you can eat as much as you want. Overall a very pleasant stay and great value for money!

The manager/priest Trondt was extremely attentive. The breakfast had great variety from amazing waffles to toasts, boiled eggs, pastries, yogurts, etc. The coffee brand they use is really nice. The location is right in the center of town and all the staff were absolutely lovely. Linken mountain is a fantastic hike. I will remember this trip for the rest of my life. Met some wonderful people and Narvik is a great place from which to visit many other places. You can take a bus or train and be in Sweden’s National Park of Abisko in just one and a half hours! You can travel to Lofoten, etc. This is a magical area of northern Norway!

I don't know why this place isn't reviewed more highly. I had a great stay. Very clean and the beds are comfortable and have blackout curtains all the way around, which I appreciated. The breakfast is great and it's included in the price. Very cheap for Norway, too. There is a kitchen and laundry machines and nice seating areas upstairs and downstairs. Good wifi.

Comfortable beds, kettle, tea & coffee (even decaffeinated!). Clean and cozy. Modern bathroom. Electricity sockets were conveniently located near beds and the table. Breakfast was 10/10, wide choice of foods, including local Norwegian caviar spread, several types of eggs (boiled, scrambled, fried), coffee machine, juice, yoghurts, apples, several types of ham, and many many more! Breakfast was till 09:30 on weekdays and till 10:00 on weekend, but we came a bit later than that, because we like to sleep in, and fortunately there was no problem! TV was also nice to have.

Spacious comfortable room. Very helpful staff who gave me a prepared breakfast bag as I was leaving too early for breakfast.

These comfortable rooms are next to the main hotel. I believe the only reason for these to be budget is the fact that the view isn't great. The breakfast taken in the main hotel is definitely top notch. Everything fresh and of outstanding quality.

Very comfortable stop on the way to The Lofoten. Nice room with wonderful view of the Fjord. Very nice staff. Beautiful lounge where you can relax in very comfortable chairs, nice bar and cakes, etc. Possibility to sit outside with a view to the road and Fjord. Good restaurant, but also restaurants nearby. Good parking. Very good breakfast. Expected a nice hotel, but it was even better than expected

Friendly and comfortable hotel in a convenient location for the airport and with beautiful views. Breakfast was excellent, constantly being replenished. The room was functional and very clean, with a nice shower.

Newly refurbished and very clean hotel overlooking the fjord, with two supermarkets around the corner and just 35 min by car from the EVE airport. Free parking (also car chargers available). Very welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast which officially starts on 8:00 on weekend and actually available at 7:40 allowing me to have breakfast before my flight. Hotel restaurant is open till 21:00 and serving decent a la carte dinner. Flybus also stops nearby and will bring you to the airport in less than an hour. My room faced the fjord and the main road but was very quiet.

Extremely friendly and professional staff. A very good and clean hotel in an exellent location. The hotel restaurant is high-quality and the breakfast is excellent. The view from the room was amazing.
