Loved that the minute I walked in, it smelled fresh and clean. The breakfast was perfect. One choice was scrambled eggs with chorizo that I've never had at any other hotel. Also loved that it's wide open with lots of room for breakfast and a living room area to enjoy with a bar to sit at. Both husband and I loved the pillows and comfortable bed.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The cleanliness and the lovely smell in the lobby made a great first impression. We enjoyed spending time in the lobby to relax after our outings, where we had fun playing Uno cards that were provided by the hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, contributing to a comfortable experience. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. I will definitely return, especially since it's within walking distance from the outlets. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a pleasant stay!

Location was great- safe, well lit, clean. We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that, but the breakfast lounge was full of happy people when I passed by in the morning. The front desk gal (same gal at check-in and check-out) was exceptional! She was very friendly and efficient.

That it wasn’t near the interstate. Check in was quick and easy, staff were helpful and friendly. Room was clean, bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was good, had a variety of foods to choose from. It had easy access to outlet mall. Would stay here again and recommend it family and friends.

We spent one night on our way to destination. This place was very clean, very well laid out and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good enough and we appreciated grabbing breakfast and good coffee before leaving the next morning. Very happy with this particular location.

The room was clean and well furnished with lots of space. Breakfast was good and tables maintained. The bathroom was well lit, and the hallways were clean, quiet, and comfortable.

I really loved that even though early check in was not available, the manager had a solution for us. We were going to be at Schlitterbahn all day and didn't want to leave all of our luggage on the top of our car, and she was so helpful and nice and right away had a solution. I feel like she went above and beyond to be helpful and that really stood out to me. The breakfast attendant was also very sweet, accommodating. The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfy. It was a really great stay!

Despite a bit of traffic noise at night due to the proximity to the highway, it was not a problem for us. Everything else made up for that minor detail. Staff was very attentive to keeping breakfast items stocked and everything was clean. The beds were comfy and housekeeping did great. We stayed 2 extra nights as it's a fun town and the hotel is close to everything.

The cleaning crew were very approachable for clean towels and made the whole hotel smell fresh and clean. Our room was top notch. Breakfast was THE VERY BEST we’ve had at any hotel!! The lady who filled the food trays and kept the coffee full was so gentle and pleasant. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU. You guys made my birthday AMAZING, COMFORTABLE AND WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!

We had a great experience here! The staff was so friendly and welcoming, giving us recommendations on what to do and how to get the most out of our time in the area. But the best part was the breakfast. The lady running the breakfast area has been there over 14 years, and did a phenomenal job! She was so friendly and helpful and everything was delicious. So many choices and it changed from day to day. Very impressed with her!

The Hotel was clean and the service was great. The room was clean and comfortable. There were two queen beds, a pull out sofa, a table, plenty of storage space, a nice size television, a microwave, a mini refrigerator, and a coffee maker. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water, good water pressure, plenty of Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and hand soap which I loved. There was also a blow dryer and the hotel offers free toiletries if needed. There’s also a pool, work out room, and laundry room. Breakfast included hot items such as pancakes, cinnamon rolls, eggs, sausage, cheese omelettes, potatoes, bean and cheese tacos as well as grab and go items like yogurt, cereal, bagels, toast…etc. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and plan to return to Holiday Inn next time we are in town.

We stayed at this hotel because of it's convenience to San Marcos. The stay was for one night to attend a Texas State University Football game. The exterior and interior of the hotel was appealing The front desk staff were friendly. The room was clean. The breakfast area was clean with ample breakfast selections including my favorite at Holiday Inn Express - the cinnamon rolls. The hotel was easy to access on the frontage of I 35. We stayed on the first floor and it was quiet. When we entered our room there was a note sharing that the hotel was having problems with hot water and was attempting to resolve the issue. I would have appreciated being notified when we checked in that there was an issue with the hot water.

Our stay was lovely! The hotel was clean, as was our room, impeccably so. The bed was super comfortable, as were the pillows, and it was quiet. We slept wonderfully well! And the staff were all very friendly, helpful, and professional. The location was great, we came for a musical performance at Gruene Hall, and it was only minutes from the Gruene Historic District. We will definitely return!

All was good but disappointed that hot tub did not work. I was happy with breakfast but need more breakfast variety. The recreation room needs to have all equipment operable. The indoor pool was nice so I soaked my feet but not as good as the hottub.

Everything !!! Check-in was easy breezy. Our room was clean, stocked and even smelled fresh. We had everything available that we needed. The lady at the front desk was sweet and let my daughter grab some coffee creamer and sugar for coffee at 8 p.m. breakfast was great there was something for everyone and the breakfast attendant kept everything stocked until breakfast was over, she was also very sweet. My absolute favorite thing was how quiet it was we will definitely stay here in the future.

What a great hotel located in a very convenient spot, central to everything and close enough to Buc-ees for those fanatics. The staff was a great mix of polite and friendly. The room was clean and very comfortable, although the sheets were stained. The pool was nice and refreshing but the hot tub stole the show, or maybe my body just needed that warmth to relax in. Breakfast was a nice little surprise with hot foods such as eggs, potatoes, and sausage, plus the usual fare for a Continental Breakfast such as waffles, cold cereals, breads, fruits, etc. I will definitely plan on coming back for another stay when I'm going to be in New Braunfels. I also recommend staying here as well.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious room with comfortable beds and plenty of comfortable pillows. Loved the Dove soaps in the bathroom…very refreshing after a hot humid swim party. Breakfast was delish and plenty of it. Staying at Wingate made our family graduation celebration even better.

Nice clean place ! Nice people in office ! An there is a pool to swim an a jacuzzi an parking space an it was a lot of food very close by to eat an u really like staying because I had been working so long an got some time off. An my time off seemed better for me ! While I was there !

Rooms were spacious (I stayed in a 2nd level King room) and recently updated. Updates were tasteful and well thought. No carpet, very clean surfaces, comfortable bed and excellent water pressure in the spotless shower (tub/shower combo). Grounds were well maintained and the staff was friendly and efficient.

We stayed here overnight! Dee checked us upon our arrival and she also checked us out the next day. She was friendly and courteous and the process was quick and easy. We had requested a king size bed; the room was recently updated, very clean and the bed comfortable. The bathtub and fixtures were new and in good working condition. We did not see what was available for breakfast in the lobby, so can’t attest to whether good or bad.

The last few days have been rough, but she was definitely a light during a hard time. Keep up the amazing job Mia! I was fortunate enough to get a river AND pool view room with a balcony. The room is amazing. Towels are provided for you right outside the pool area. They have smart TV’s so you’re able to stream Netflix/YouTube. The view is absolutely gorgeous. The hotel lobby is clean and spacious (good for families) There is a business center where you can print documents. The BEST thing about this property is it’s located right in front of the river. How convenient is that! I took these photos right on the dock of the river. It’s been a pleasure staying here and I will definitely be back!

I had wanted to stay here for quite a while. I gathered my 3 grandkids & off we went for a Sunday night stay. I reserved a room with 2 queens. Upon check in Cynthia was awesome & we were assigned a 3rd floor room with a very nice balcony. The room was very clean, large bathroom with a tub/shower. Room had a mini fridge & microwave. The view was gorgeous of the pool & Guadalupe River. The grounds are beautiful. Lakefront are picnic tables & Adirondack chairs in the nice cold water. There are several piers & my grandkids spent the whole day jumping in the water with a ton of kids. The next morning we had breakfast downstairs in the lobby. Two strawberry french toasts & 2 plates of eggs, bacon, potatoes & toast. Both were delicious. Girls said it was the best french toast they had ever had. Back to the river. I had brought food & lots of water. Evidently on the weekend they have food outdoors, a bar & band. Back to the river. All day long. We did not want to leave. This is now our favorite Marriott hotel. We will return frequently. Thank you for a wonderful time.

I went with my kids and their grandmother for a weekend. We had an amazing time. The hotel is great for kids and they have a good breakfast to get your morning started. When we got breakfast the line was long to order and it was early. Though by 9am it kind of died down, not a big deal the breakfast was good and they were very apologetic of the wait. Great place for families with small children. My kids are 4 and 1 and the little beach area they have going into the river was perfect for them. So was the pool. Very relaxing place. As others have said the walls are paper thin though, you can hear and feel the floors when people walk above you. My son was crying when I left the room, I could hear him clearly from the elevators about 100 ft away from our room and about 4 rooms in between my room and the elevator. If you are childless and not looking to be bothered by the sounds of families and thumping on your ceiling from the pitter patter of feet, this may not be the place for you. However if you have a family, it's a great place and you feel comfortable knowing your kids can cry and run around the room because everyone is doing the same thing :)

Excellent stay. Only disappointment was that we didn’t have a balcony with our Jr. Exec Suite. I must have missed something while booking. Grounds are phenomenal. River runs along back of shaded lawn with horseshoes, corn hole, volleyball, swimming pool, River swimming and dock. Swimming pool water was warm but a good size with shallow waters. Small outdoor hot tub also available. Lots of extra amenities including snack bar, library, and beautiful outdoor veranda, ice water in lobby. Restaurant available, but breakfast is not included. Housekeeping only offered every other day for multiple night stays except by special request. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Sofa back folds down to make a bed, but there is no mattress. Room for 2 small children or 1 adult. Great value for the amenities. Conveniently located, safe area, easy parking.

This property is beautiful. We enjoyed our family stay very much. Room was clean & spacious. Staff was extremely friendly, attentive & courteous. We really enjoyed the beautiful view of the river and outdoor hangout. It was peaceful and relaxing to sit by the river and enjoy some family time. We would love to visit again soon.

From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to ensure our stay was perfect. Overall, our stay at Baymont Inn exceeded all expectations. The impressive remodel, combined with its convenient location and outstanding service, make it a top choice for anyone visiting the area. We can't wait to visit again!!

Very nice and clean rooms. Even with renovations in progress it was a very nice stay. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. If I ever come back to the area, I will stay here again. It is centrally located to Austin and San Antonio, and very convenient to shopping and tons of restaurants.

The gentleman working the first was very helpful and accommodating. The gentleman that was working the second evening was not so nice. However, the older gentleman working Sunday morning was extremely nice and accommodating. The breakfast was all that great, but it was better than nothing. The staff did, however, keep the breakfast items fresh and stocked. I loved the location it was perfect. The pool area was also great.

Great location! Across I-35 from the Tanger Outlets and within walking distances of all sorts of delicious restaurants. Nicely decorated room, inviting indoor pool, comfortable bed, cool AC, hot coffee and bag continental breakfast in the mornings. When we stayed, they were still renovating nicely.

Decent stay for the price. Clean and quiet, just a basic hotel. The pool was clean and fun for my son and the staff was friendly.

We called and spoke with Andy. Andy was amazing and took excellent care of us. The room was clean!! The AC was cold too! I had waffles, coffee and oatmeal for breakfast the following day.They had a selection of cereals for the kids and an assortment of pastries. They also had milk, orange and apple juices. Overall we had a wonderful experience here. I would definitely 💯 recommend .The room was very cleaned and beds are comfortable.

The hotel has been updated to match the brand. Some things are worn-broken due to age. Found a dead roach in the shower. It had been there awhile, stuck to floor. Our room was on the 3rd floor and was very quiet. Associate at front desk was very friendly. Nice to have free breakfast and wifi.

We were here for a family trip several family members stayed here. The room was very spacious, the pool was crystal blue and the breakfast had a good selection. Several restaurants near by so we had plenty to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helped with anything we needed. I recommend this hotel to anybody and i would definitely stay here again.

This property looks a bit rough on the outside but it’s such a hidden gem on the inside! The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff is amazing! I wish the parking lot was a bit more maintained but the area is good and the hotel itself offers a good experience. I stay whiten often there and I always enjoy it!

This is a really Nice and comfortable hotel. Great price. This is My go to hotel when I’m in town. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. If staying in the main building, it’s also quiet even though it’s right off interstate 35. It’s also close to many restaurants and attractions.

Price is reasonable. Room is spacious enough for 4 persons. Clean sheets and bathroom. Great comments from kids. Staffs are helpful and accomodating. Continental breakfast is good. I would suggest waffle or pancake for breakfast. I would like to stay again here for next adventure. There's a lot of parking spaces, too.

The location is perfect, with easy access to local attractions and dining options. Despite being near a busy area, the motel itself was quiet and peaceful, allowing for a restful environment. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful bonus, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day.

Traveled a fews days, stayed at 3 different places and the Super 8 in New Braunfels is an overall nice place to enjoy and relax. Rooms are nice and clean, friendly staff. Pool was a plus (very clean). Beds are comfortable, fluffy pillows. Spacious bathroom. Good pricing!

It was fine for a work stay in the New Braunfels area. Convenient to I-35 but not right on the highway which was nice. Plenty of dining options within walking distance although the fence limits access to some local businesses. The breakfast bar had limited items and the coffee was served from an instant brew machine, and was more like regular instant coffee or hot chocolate. The breakfast options were the same everyday and limited in selection. The rooms are partially updated but suitable nonetheless. It’s fine for work or an overnight travel stay but not a place you want to go on a family vacation. The pool is small and unguarded which is probably common anymore due to lack of work ethic. All in all, I would recommend it for a few days and would probably stay there again, but I wish the coffee was better and there was more variety to breakfast. The elevator was out of service and I’m not sure if the upper floors are in use. The staff was always available at the desk and helpful with any key issues or added stay accommodation.

Staff was super friendly and welcoming with my family, including my toddler. Hotel has been recently renovated. Room was clean and spacious. Excellent value. Good breakfast selection for the price point of rooms. Pillows were very comfortable.

This inn is conveniently accessible one block east of I35. The rooms and building appear to recently remodeled making it aesthetically pleasing and our bed was comfortable. The staff is welcoming and attentive. There are just a few little convenient stores and eateries with in walking distance. The breakfast was mostly carbs (waffles, cereal, pastries) so be prepared to add your own protein. I still give it 5 out of 5. My wife really liked the stay and she felt safe.

Clean, Comfortable, and Great Service! Stayed at Americinn for a couple of nights, and it was a great experience. The room was super clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked as it should. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference. Good location, easy parking, and the Wi-Fi was solid. No complaints—just a nice, hassle-free stay. Would definitely come back!

An older property, this hotel has kept up with the times. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable, with in-room fridge, microwave, iron/ironing board, & hair dryer. The location is excellent, right off I-35, but set back one block, so there's no highway noise. There's a small pool. The WiFi is sufficiently strong, but spotty. We were pleased to have a clean and comfortable place to sleep for three nights at under $200.

It's a very nice, clean hotel. Breakfast was very good with waffles, breakfast tacos, eggs, and sausage. It's very new and clean. Our room smelled of cleaning supplies when we walked in. Tons of extra pillows, towels, and soap. The lady at the night death was incredibly nice and got us checked in very quickly. Also loves the 24 hour coffee station they have in the lobby.

Front staff was nice & helpful. Beds were comfortable & love Dove products. Everything was near for our convenience . Breakfast was good & hot . Person assigned to breakfast area was nice & helpful. Will be staying once we come visit San Antonio again. Thanks!)

If you’re looking for someplace to crash after a day on the river, this place hits all the marks. Wow, the building is pretty old, it is very clean and has what you need to unwind. I wouldn’t bother with the breakfast, but I grabbed a cup of coffee each morning and it was delicious. Their photos show a waffle iron but there is no waffle maker. Room is clean, AC works well, quiet spot, a stones throw from several restaurants. The room had a fridge and microwave. I’d stay there again floating the river in new Braunfels.

This is a good location with plenty of self parking. You can drive easily to Gruene and to the Guadalupe River tube float areas within 10mins. There is a steakhouse located right bedside the hotel. Multiple restaurants, gas stations and convenient stores are nearby. The staff was friendly, clean big rooms and quiet. We enjoyed are stay here.

The breakfast was quite good with a lot of variety and delicious. The hotel was clean and tidy. The staff was quite helpful and friendly. I had a good stay over there with my friends. Everything was great.

I had an amazing experience! I liked that there was usually enough space and that the breakfast was delicious. The hotel was spotless and well-maintained, and I cherished the free parking advantage. It greatly simplified my journey.

Very happy with our stay! Room was clean and quiet, breakfast was decent, staff was very friendly. Great deal for the price! My only problem (which was not the hotel's fault) was I received a message to do a precheck in and said they wanted my card number for easier check in. Doing that put a hold on my card along with a second hold when the card was charged So i had two holds for the full amount on my card that my bank cannot take off yet. The hotel manager said she usually tries to warn guests not to do the pre check in. Again, not the hotels fault, they were very nice about everything

It was a nice place. Very clean and comfortable. The only thing i didn't like wascthe small jacuzzi in the suite. Way too small for the pricr.

Everything was good but cleaning could be better. Wasn't bad but just could've been better. Needs a few updates and this property would be great. It's close to everything and right off the freeway. Jacuzzi was dirty and needs to be cleaned at least once a week.

This location was a great experience from checking in and checking out. The staff were amazing and respectful. The cleanliness of the rooms were great. Rooms were super clean and had no bad odors, beds were comfortable, pillows were good as well. Bathroom was super clean, towels were clean and house keeping cleans your room daily. Our 5 day stay was amazing. Parking was free and was safe, well lit and no homeless people. Location was close to Buc-ees plenty of places to eat. The free breakfast was good your typical free breakfast options, eggs, sausages, breakfast potatoes, their famous Texas shaped waffles, coffee and assorted cereals and juices. Overall the location was clean and safe and perfect if you are going with kids.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Hotel is very clean, great internet service, free breakfast. The location is perfect right off the interstate easy to get too, plenty of restaurants and places to shop. I give it 5 stars.

Wow! Don't let the exterior fool you. This is a great little no-frills motel very centrally located in New Braunfels. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and helped me get checked in quickly and smoothly. She gave me some good recommendations for breakfast, and made my experience that much more enjoyable. The room was clean and well appointed. The AC worked great, and the bathroom was very clean. The sheets were clean and crisp, and the bed was very comfortable. I will definitely consider this location again the next time I am in town.

The rooms was very clean, loaded with towels, coffee and essentials. The beds were very very comfortable and soft. They did have breakfast( ex. Waffles, cereal, oatmeal, toast, coffee, juice, etc.) it was well worth the stay. Prices for rooms were pretty decent and unpaid cash and no issues! I give them 5 stars for sure. Thank you for Accomidating my family at the last minute.

This is my second stay at this hotel and never had to make a complain. The hotel room was very comfortable, clean and cold! Living in Texas that is what we need when traveling for a long time. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Big room and bathroom and lots of lights! The location is very convenient, it can get noisy as it is close to highway and major interstate freeway. I definitely would stay again. If you like Mexican food walk across the street to the Taqueria, good food.

The staff was very friendly and professional. She had a difficult time with the customer ahead of me and she never stressed over it and continued to accommodate him accordingly. The only thing I would suggest is to have fresh coffee in the lobby area before 6:30am.

This is not a high-end property, but what it does, it does well. Love the kitchen in each room, great for breakfast. Very clean and spacious. Downsides are: no restaurant and freeway noise. But I knew that going in, and the price is good. Highly recommended if you need a clean, spacious room with a kitchen and you don't mind the freeway noise. We didn't bring our doggie, but they are allowed, which is a big deal for anyone traveling with their favorite beast!

We travel with our fur baby, so that limits our options. I appreciate Candlewood being pet friendly and accommodating. Shout out to Tasha at the front desk who was above and beyond friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in the door! The room was clean, plenty of towels, and I appreciate complimentary coffee. I would stay here again when staying in this area.

Stayed here for a Saturday night after seeing a concert in Gruene. The location is good and easy to get to and everything in New Braunfels is close. Gruene is about 15 minutes away at the most. Even though the property is right by the highway, our room at the back of the hotel was quieter than I expected. With the noise of the AC, I couldn't hear the highway at all. I didn't really hear people in the hall as well. The elevator is very slow so be aware of that. The room has a small kitchenette with a fridge and a two burner cooktop. The bed was comfortable and my only complaint was that it was creaky when I moved around. The shower was nice and roomy and there was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The floor was clean and I didn't have any complaints with the room's cleanliness. The TV is bolted to the wall on the corner and a bit hard to see from the bed. Service was good. They did check us into an occupied room because I heard the TV on in the room and fortunately the room key didn't work for the wrong room. Once we brought it to her attention, she immediately moved us across the hall. She did call us and ask us at 10pm what room she moved us to which was very weird. I think they need to upgrade their computer system? I will say the front desk people are very nice and that was our only issue. They even let us leave a bit late on Sunday without charging us. That was nice and made up for the room mix up.

Hotel is good for what you pay and I would stay again. Rooms are big and clean with full size fridge, stove top, and microwave. AC gets COLD. Beds are ok, not great. There are clean gas BBQ pits in working condition. No pool or hot tub and no breakfast. There is a "mini mart" but only free item is coffee. Close to everything in New Braunfels.

Came down to float the river and this hotel is in a great location! The beds are super comfy! We slept so good! It’s nice and quiet! Breakfast could’ve been better...cold eggs and sausage but there’s a microwave...there was bagels and pastries and nutrigrain bars...coffee was good...we will be staying there again :)

The staff at the hotel were quite helpful and friendly. The outlook and BBQ facilities at the hotel were quite pleasant. The WiFi included was quite helpful. The bathtub and air conditioning in the room were quite comfortable.

My stay at the hotel was simply delightful! Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and helpful - I couldn't have asked for better service. Their concierge services were excellent and it was so lovely that breakfast was included. Making my business trip a little more bearable, this amazing experience will definitely make me come back soon —It's an absolute must-try and I'm sure to tell all my friends about it!

All the staff we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. The property is well cared for and clean. We will be staying here again. If I had anything to find to complain about it was that they had to refill the coffee pot at breakfast every 10 or so minutes lol.. but she did work hard and fast to make sure it was done. (possibly add a second dispenser.)

This hotel was very nice, comfortable, clean. The bed very crisp, clean and comfortable as well. When we got to the room the temperature was adjusted perfectly. Had no complaints of this place, the staff very nice, and professional. Will return with no doubt again.

I had an awesome stay here in Schertz. This Candlewood is amazing. The bed was great. Awesome pillows. It was quiet.my room was by the entrance alongside the reception desk and it was surprisingly not loud whatsoever. The young Lady whom I forgot to get her name, was Awesome! Very attentive and gave me the rundown on the operation of the "store" if you will. They have free coffee 24/7. In a day and time where nothing is free...it was here! This is a great place to stay if you're into staying in a clean, quiet, very comfortable beds, type of place, well this is it. Definitely will make it a point to visit again.

Other than small front door parking. The stay was completely comfortable. King size studio. Soaps provided. Fresh linens. Kitchenette. Tv. Bed. Clean. Clean. Clean.

We suffered a water leak in our house that resulted in all of our furniture being packed out while repairs were made. We decided on Candlewood because it is close to our house. It is not the Ritz Carlton but our rooms (bedroom is seperated from the kitchen and living room area) is spacious and clean, the bath room is clean and bright and the king bed is comfortable. The kitchen has everything we need. The AC keeps the rooms cool. The staff has been friendly and accomodating. We have been quite comfortable there for the last month and will be there for another month perhaps.

It would have been nice if there was a breakfast option offered. Other than that, the stay was perfect and the staff was helpful and really friendly. The hotel was kept very clean.

We had a kitchenette- no breakfast. Didn’t use the pool- too busy for that or walking property. Staff was helpful, friendly. It was quiet. Great stay.

The property at Gruene River Hotel and Retreat was amazing. We stayed in “The Perfect Swing” room and it was gorgeous. The bed was so comfortable, the room was very clean and we had a nice little private balcony. If you want to float the river, they have river access down a beautiful path behind the property. The staff was so friendly. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Make this your next romantic getaway when you visit Gruene. We loved it and can’t wait to go back.

This was my first stay at the Gruene River Hotel & Retreat. I must say that it exceeded expectations. Friendly and helpful staff communicate prior to the stay and greet you upon arrival. The room I had (River Hideaway) was comfortable and spotlessly clean! Interesting and useful common areas include a well appointed game-room, indoor and outdoor patios, a "Texas sized hot tub", and stone patio for lounging by or swimming in the Guadalupe river. The hotel is walking distance from the outstanding Gruene River Grill Restaurant, various shops, and of course the legendary Gruene Hall music venue. I drove my car only once during my entire stay. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back.

We just got home from our one night stay for our 13th anniversary. We had the most amazing time! The staff (Erin) was so sweet and helpful. The wine and snacks at night were fantastic. We played pool and Ms. Pac Man in the game room which was a lot of fun. The room was clean and comfy. The chef prepared breakfast was delicious. And to top it off, we met and chatted with the owners at breakfast who couldn’t have been sweeter and more friendly! We will definitely be back next year!

The wife and daughter of the owner we're very friendly and made us feel very welcome in the house. Good room with a hottub in the bathroom.

I liked our host Roman. He was so welcoming and happy to have us there. He explained the "House rules" which were more about safety than anything else. We really enjoyed our family suite! Private bathroom with a jacuzzi and our own balcony. We watched the deer running through the front yard and also saw the big dipper in the cloudless sky. The decor is fabulous! I will be back later this year.

The host is very warm and welcoming, you truly feel as if you're staying with a favorite relative. The room was clean, comfortable, with private ac and heat. The bed was super comfortable! The decor in the room was well chosen, useful, and comfortable. The large shower was hot with great pressure. The bathtub looked devine. There were also plenty of soft towels. The private balcony was very nice. I spent every morning and everything watching the sun rise and looking at stars. The property was beautiful, great lay out, lots of private spaces. Spacious room and bed, enough towels, clean space, peaceful environment, nature-friendly with deer, unique and gorgeous interior, and the jets in the bathtub- it was so romantic when you turned on the chandelier. I especially appreciated all the food for breakfast because I didn't have a car to go to stores. I wish I could have spent more time there in a terrace and a pool, but the weather didn't allow us to do it. Talking to the host was enjoyable as well.

I had a wonderful stay at Hilltop Hacienda! The house is very cozy and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, which made my stay even more comfortable. The host was extremely kind and attentive, going out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and pleasant stay in San Marcos.

It was a beautiful, quiet setting on the Guadalupe River. It was ADULTS ONLY, which I really loved and appreciated. The building had private parking; enough parking for each room to have its own space. There is a combination lock on both the front door and the individual room doors. It has a big deck with chairs that look out to the river. There is an outside pool (which we didn’t use) and a jacuzzi, which we did use. There were lots of choices for breakfast (although many of them have a fair amount of sugar in them) and a Keurig that has all kinds of choices, for coffee in particular. The room we stayed in had a king size bed, two robes and a gas fireplace and and its own jacuzzi tub. The location is less than a mile to the historic town of Gruene, which is a super cute and fun little town.

This property is perfect for a escape from the busy city life, it's quiet, the view to the Guadalupe River is amazing. The rooms are not modern, they have an old house feeling, nothing bad but take that in consideration. The place is clean and location is great. We enjoyed our stay and we recommended this place to all our friends and family.

It has a nice deck overlooking the river with plenty of cozy sitting spots to unwind and enjoy the view.. Our cottage was quiet and comfortable. The hosts had a variety of breakfast and snack items. You’re just a few minutes from Gruene shopping and restaurants. Charming place to stay!

Was pleasantly surprised with this place. Room was comfortable and quiet, location was close to Gruene and New Braunfels. It’s a very nice set up and we enjoyed the River view and the hot tub. My only complaint is the breakfast setup. I know they said it was grab and go but the only choices were all packaged highly processed sugar loaded foods. It would’ve been nice to have one fresh baked item set out at least or a bag of bagels or bread or anything. I’ve been to several B&Bs during Covid and they are all serving a hot breakfast for their guests daily. Other than that we enjoyed the place a lot!

What an amazing place! We had the best time, the location was fantastic and the room was very clean, the other guests were also very friendly. Breakfast items were grab & go style due to Covid-19 but options were plentiful. We stayed in the Grapes Room with a front garden/parking lot view and it was still very secluded and quiet. Outside of the property, deer were roaming around freely and it was quite magical! We can't wait to stay again!

We had everything we needed including dishes and coffee maker. Also the microwave was nice for reheating leftovers. It did have many drawers which was also great. We will stay here in the future but will bring our own pillows.

The staff was gracious and helpful; the facilities were clean, fun, and varied. The clientele was friendly, helpful, and enjoyable. What a hidden gem in New Braunfels!

The location is very family friendly, with daily activities to keep everyone engaged and having fun. The pool was clean and spacious to accommodate multiple groups easily. The on-site store was convenient. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Check in was quick and easy. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was tasty and hot. We loved the pool jacuzzi and the lovely plant life surrounding. Monday morning we checked out and the halls and lobby had pleasant music playing. It was an absolute pleasant stay for us. The hotel staff did an amazing job keeping the premises super clean. Will stay again!

I can confirm the positive reviews about this hotel. The Best Western Plus was a fantastic place to stay. Upon entering, we noticed the lobby was quiet and nicely decorated. The hallways were clean and also quiet. Our king room was spacious, with a comfortable and clean bed that ensured we slept well after a long day of traveling. The room was equipped with everything we needed: a Holy Bible, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, iron, ironing board, four large towels, three small towels, three hand towels, make-up remover wipes, a shower cap, citrus lotion, and ample closet space. The shower featured Phamacopia natural and organic body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Please note, if you turn off the main light switch, your devices won't charge overnight—I learned that the hard way. (Whoops!) Breakfast was excellent! They offered yogurt, juice, milk, coffee, cereal, fresh fruits, hot eggs, hash browns, potatoes, sausage, biscuits, bread, muffins, salsa, cheese, various condiments, and the option to make a hot waffle. The hotel's location, close to the highway, was one of the reasons I selected it. There was plenty of parking, and I was able to park right outside my room. Next door, there was a Denny’s, which was convenient for a light dinner. Within walking distance, there were also a gas station, Arby’s, Wendy’s, KFC, and several other dining options. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

The moment we walked in the hotel smelled very clean and looked very clean. The front desk staff could have been a bit more friendly, with a smile, although very efficient. The breakfast staff, housekeeping staff, the gardener, all were super friendly and pleasant. We were pleasantly surprised because the hotel is old, but you would never know from the decor, cleanliness and maintenance. The Atrium, decor and surroundings overall very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed free breakfast with our stay and delicious, even bits of sausage in the gravy! That's extra special for this Texan. Good Job!

The staff was super friendly. The hot breakfast was really good. We didn't get to eat in the dining area due to covid, but the staff made it work and we ate breakfast in our room. The room was very clean. Had everything we needed. Quiet at night. I was afraid there would be loud parties, since when we got there, trucks with inner tubes were parked and it was the 4th of July weekend. Surprisingly, it was really quiet and peaceful. We would most definitely stay here again.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Homestead Inn so very much. Just what we were looking for to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary. The facilities were excellent- clean, quiet and convenient. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. Breakfast was great. We’ll go back!

We were well taken care of by the inn's staff and our room was comfortable, clean, and cozy (not small, but cozy). The breakfast was fresh, homemade, and wonderful. It's hard to believe the interstate was less than 2 miles away.

We have always been pleased with this Country Inn whenever we are in New Braunfels but our last visit was exceptional. Angel at the front desk was so pleasant to talk to and was so helpful. About 30 minutes after we checked out we realized we had left our tasty dinner leftovers in the fridge. We called the hotel and Angel was on duty. She checked with the cleaning staff and our room hadn’t been cleaned yet. She went upstairs, retrieved the leftovers and put them in their fridge for us to come back for. Exceptional customer service!

I've been coming here weekly for over a month due to work. I chose this Hotel for its proximity to my project & it's FREE HOT BREAKFAST... The manager, Angel, and her staff are like family now. This team goes above and beyond to accommodate and welcome. We have stayed in several rooms all of which have been clean and comfortable. This is a great safe clean place to stay in the New Braunfels area and the rates are the best value for your $. Definitely gonna miss these guys & their awesome hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay. Our accommodations were spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. They allowed an early check in because we had an early evening wedding & needed time to get ready. Everyone we interacted with from check in to cleaning staff were helpful & pleasant. Would definitely recommend and plan to return in warmer weather. We were there in February so I would expect it to be a little less quiet during summer months due to the location being so close to the river.

This resort is a great place to vacation. The units are so attractive, clean and comfortable. It is convenient to the attractions in Gruene,,,restaurants, eclectic shops, market days, wineries, etc. It is also not far from grocery stores and other shopping. It makes travel to San Antonio and other places possible. Watching the deer in the evenings is an added attraction. Staff is friendly and helpful We love getting away to this resort, relaxing and re-charging.

Worldmark is nestled in a nice quiet spot away from heavy traffic. The units were very clean and nicely decorated. It's a prime location to area river tubing spots that's located right down the road. It also sits minutes away from the Gruene Historic District. This spot has nice shops and restaurants with live music. The staff was very pleasant and helpful with our questions and needs that we had. We will definitely visit Worldmark New Braunfels again.

This is a clean, quiet hotel with a phenomenal breakfast. Our room was clean and in good condition. The shower and bedding were great. The only issue we had (and have had recently at other hotels) is that we've been booking a room that has a King bed and pullout sleeper sofa for our family of 4, there are 4 listed on the reservation, but we get to the room and the sleeper sofa isn't made up. It's not a huge deal, and I'm sure they would have come to fix it if I asked, but it was easy enough to do it myself. It's just weird that it hasn't already been done. The real showstopper here is the breakfast. High quality tasty cold and hot food every day. They had a breakfast taco bar each day with a variety of fillings and toppings. They had overnight oats and chia pudding with a variety of fruit and nut toppings, both made with almond milk for any vegans who need something other than a banana. They even had plain greek yogurt. Nobody ever has that! The coffee was good and always hot. I would stay again just for the quality of the breakfast.

Very very professional staff, caring friendly and always with a smile nothing was too much. From Nancy and her team too the reception staff and the manager. It was great seeing the service lift doors open and having a morning chat. Breakfast was always hot and plentiful. Pool was excellent and always clean and tidy. Pool guys where always checking for that. We had a late check out as requested. Basketball 🏀 area well maintained and safe all areas had a key card scan .Pool side towels where provided. Areas around the reception including the computer area where quiet and sociable. Gym area was underused for me put some of my family used it. Again well maintained equipment. Rooms where big with more than enough amenities, fridge freezer cooker etc. Overall this was the perfect place for us and would definitely recommend for families and all.we will definitely come back again.Thank you too all the team regards The Broderick family

Some exterior renovation underway, which worried me at first, but crew only worked mid-day so no issues at all. Hotel is clean & area is very safe and quiet. TV location in room layout is my major complaint. Angled view from all locations is really poor ergonomics! Stiff neck now lol. Pool gate lock didn’t work all week for keyless entry, but staff responsive to open on request. Overall happy with the stay, but TV setup does need improvement.

A great local and remodeled property on the river. Very friendly welcoming staff full of recommendations. Very clean and comfortable room. Short path to River, beautiful setting and quiet. Would stay again!

We made a round trip adventure through the hill country over 5 days and stayed at multiple places along the way ! This place by far was amazing! I can’t say enough good things about this place starting with the staff which is exceptional! The room was very nice ! Very modern! Pool and access to the river was great, the grounds were very well maintained! Highly recommended

This property has been remodeled and is updated. The common area is cute, clean and modern with a game room, hangout space and bar. Beds were super comfy. Pool and river area is gorgeous. You also can't beat the location. Definitely worth the stay.

My husband and I stayed here to be near Gruene but not spend a fortune. The rate was reasonable, the room was quiet, clean, and comfortable for the most part. Might want to bring your own pillows but you’re supplied with 2 per guest. We had previously stayed somewhere that was loud, so I asked if there was quiet room. The lady did her best and it was just what we needed. The bathroom was supplied well with Neutrogena products and the towels were thick and soft. We also enjoyed the snack area by the breakfast bar. There’s a range of snacks and drinks. We don’t drink alcohol but you can even buy some wine at the front desk if you want. Overall, we will be staying here next time. This was part of our 15th Anniversary.

Hotel is comfortable and has a nice pool and lobby area. Breakfast is $12 and Diamond benefit is only $10 so that could be improved, but breakfast is good overall. Bar has draft beers which is great given the evenings can still be really hot. Emily at the front desk was outstanding in handling multiple simultaneous guest questions and helped quickly fix a room key reset. Rooms are starting to show their age and would benefit from updating soon. Keurig coffee in the room which is great.

The hotel has had a recent renovation. It was clean and staff friendly. One staff member helped us with a particular need we had for a larger room. Well stocked snack area and inside bar. Breakfast was first rate!! We had a very enjoyable experience and we highly recommend this hotel.

I booked my stay at this San Marcos hotel a month in advance, initially second-guessing my choice. Those worries were unwarranted as this place delivered a good experience. Check-in was a breeze. The front desk staff greeted me, confirmed my details, and handed over my key, all in under a minute (more like 30 seconds). When I mentioned preferring a room far from the elevator, she smiled and confirmed my request was already noted in my profile, pointing me to a perfect room that could not be farther from the elevator. Check-in was efficient and thoughtful, it’s hard to ask for more. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and refreshingly cool, a welcome escape from Texas’ sticky heat. The corner couch was comfortable. The bed was cozy, and the space felt just right for unwinding. Later that evening, passing through the lobby, the same staff member that did my check-in asked if I had dinner plans. When I said I was unsure, she jotted down a few restaurant recommendations “just in case.” That small gesture stood out, and one of her suggestions ended up being my spot for the evening. This place is not fancy. It is not luxurious. But it is a reliable, clean, and welcoming hotel that checks all the right boxes.

I had a great stay at the Courtyard San Marcos! The room was super clean, spacious, and comfortable—definitely one of the better hotel stays I’ve had recently. The bathroom was especially nice with a big walk-in shower. The staff was friendly and really helpful. I had a special request to stay on the first floor, and they were more than happy to accommodate me. Big shoutout to Linda at the front desk—she went above and beyond to help us with a small issue and made the whole experience stress-free.

Hotel was clean, quiet and easy to access from highway. Staff was pleasant, check in was easy. Not necessarily a complaint but we, and other guests, were misinformed about a “complimentary breakfast” when they actually have a dine in restaurant. Would recommend staying here but probably comparable stays close by at a lower price with included breakfast.

Property was located in a perfect area for shopping & dining. Across from the Tanger outlets made this a perfect vacay stay. We were also clise enough to the college area to enjoy the local restaurants there too. Rooms were clean , staff was friendly.

The lady when I checked in was very welcoming and friendly . She filled my ice bucket. The young lady who served my breakfast was very friendly . Staff very approachable and happy to help. Their kindness made me feel comfortable and relaxed .

We stayed a few nights to tube the river & enjoy downtown New Braunfels & Gruene. This is a great location for everything we needed. Lots of restaurants, gas stations & stores nearby. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room was clean & comfortable. The hotel seemed very secure. There’s a pay laundry room & a dining area with a TV. The free breakfast is pretty good. There were make your own TX shaped waffle makers, cereals, yogurt, oatmeal, refrigerated muffins & honey buns, bananas, apples & frozen sausage/egg & cheese croissant sandwiches. Unfortunately the only protein source & therefore the only thing I could eat was the insides of the croissant sandwiches. I felt terrible having to throw out the croissants, but that’s all there was for me. The pool was pleasant enough & the grounds were well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in New Braunfels.

A friend and I drove a couple hours to go to the river. We knew we would be exhausted after and wouldn’t want to drive home. I checked the ratings and reviews of nearby hotels and this is the one I chose. We received great service checking in. The lobby, elevator, hallways were very clean. Our room was nice and very clean. The coffee maker, fridge and microwave were great amenities. The bed itself was comfortable. The pillows and crisp clean sheets were refreshing after a day in the sun. I can’t think of a single bad thing about our stay. Will definitely stay there for all future river trips!

The staff was very friendly. Interior was clean and inviting. The hall carpet looked fairly new. Room was nice, quiet, and clean. Water pressure was sad though. If you have long hair you’ll be awhile rinsing the shampoo out. Breakfast was very skimpy. Waffles, a few cooler items like yogurt, and heat and serve breakfast sandwiches, couple types of cereal, and juice. It worked in a pinch but was more like grab and go than breakfast. Pool was ok. The water in the hot tub part looked a little dirty. There were two guys in the pool with a cooler of beer (even though the sign said no alcohol) who was leaving beer cans all over the pool deck and smoking so we didn’t stay there long. Not the hotel’s fault but monitoring the area would’ve been good. All in all I would stay again. It was affordable and in a good location.

I recommend this for a family or personal stay!! Very friendly and professional staff. Good Customer service. Easy access to highway and a friendly location and area. Very Good restaurants all around the area. Rooms were large, clean and comfy. Beatiful amenities. I am grateful and will be back to stay soon! Loved it!

We stayed at this America's Best Value Inn because we found a great deal online, and were so pleasantly surprised that we will definitely be back! The room was literally spotlessly clean with new carpet, and the bathroom was also super clean and fresh. The bed was nicely turned down, a couple of mints were on the table, the shower curtain was folded back, and the towels were neatly folded. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool area and hot tub were great - wish we had time to use the hot tub! The continental breakfast consisted of coffee/juice, fresh fruit (apples and bananas), cereal, toast, pastries, instant oatmeals and it looked like maybe waffles (?) and was definitely adequate to get you started in the morning. The bed was super comfortable and everything in the room (fridge, TV, hairdryer) worked great. This is a really nice motel - we really like to be able to drive up to the door of our room and this location offers that. Also, they do allow pets for a reasonable fee with advance notice - they only have certain rooms where pets can be so if you're allergic, you can have a pet-free room. Excellent value for the money - we will definitely be back!

We stayed one night after a day at Schlitterbahn. For the price, it was a steal! Employees were professional and friendly, room was spacious, renovated, clean and quiet. Location was perfect for us. Felt safe. Lots of shopping and dining in the area. Beds were comfortable. Micro/fridge/flat screen were great. Shower pressure was a little low. Overall, no complaints. Will return when in the area.

We booked this as a cheap hotel to stay a couple of nights while visiting Schlitterbahn. We have stayed in this type of accommodation before and knew what to expect, basic room, minimal breakfast and noisy neighbors! This was NOT what we experienced. The couple who run it went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, assisting us when our tv remote refused to work 3 times! They were very polite and enquired several times that we had everything we needed and even if the bed was comfortable. There were fresh pastries, waffles, coffee as well as cereal and juice for breakfast and plenty of it. Also the room was next to the road but there was no road mouse and no noisy neighbors. We will definitely stay here again.

My room was very clean and comfortable. I felt safe and that is very important to a woman traveling alone. The front desk person was very friendly and allowed me to have breakfast even well after breakfast hours. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We went to New Braunfels to float the Guadalupe River, and it was less than 4 miles from the outfitter we used for our float. I gave this hotel an overall rating of very good. The room was clean. The pool was clean. The people working the desk, both day and night, were always friendly and helpful. Our toilet got stopped up, so we called the front desk, and they sent someone right away to help out. Also, the waffles I made, that were part of our complimentary breakfast, were very yummy! :) I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in New Braunfels.

Our 2 night stay was thoroughly enjoyable - quiet atmosphere, clean room, comfortable bed, very soft pillows. The staff is especially accommodating. Though they don't currently offer a free breakfast due to Covid-19, we were still able to enjoy our take-out dinners in the breakfast room. We highly recommend Baymont by Wyndham New Braunfels.

The hotel is right off I-35 and is a hidden gem. The place is surprisingly nice with granite countertops, granite bathrooms and granite inlay in the showers. The carpet is nice and fluffy, air conditioners are temperature controlled. The hotel includes tiny soaps and shampoos, conditioners and a hair dryer. It looked sterling when I walked in. The bed is comfy and firm, and smells like clean linen . The room has a small-to-medium sized fridge for snacks and Subway sandwiches. The desk personnel appear to fulfill requests upon demand. Reminds me of a 4-star hotel minus a Starbucks and breakfast amenities. Not allot of frills, but for the price you absolutely cannot beat it.

Whenever I look for a place to stay, I always look at the parking lot and if outdoors, the walkways. Here they were both clean and free of debris. That usually tells me the owner/management has an eye for detail. I rented a room based on that. I am in room 214 right now and it is really clean. There were a couple of places with dust, but that could be solved by the taller staff. Our room is clean, comfortable and quiet. It is what I expect from any hotel. My two interactions with the staff were pleasant and addressed my need. I will stay here again and suggest it to my friends.

I love the way the staff are very friendly. The room is super clean and smells good. The bathroom has a walk in shower. The bed is super comfy and I slept really well. The price is right! The place is quiet.

If you find yourself in this area and need a room, don't hesitate, you won't regret it. Almost forgot, the beds are super comfy, and did not want to wake up the next morning!

For the price i didnt expect a lot, pleasantly surpised at how clean and cute and nice the front desk lady was. Had cute rafters (on top floor) cute scenic window shade that kept the light out in morning, big, spacious, ac worked great, bed a little hard but thats to my preference, everything clean ,accomodating letting us check in early. Outside not the prettiest but nice pool, felt safe and would definitely stay again!

Perfect place since you have restaurants next to you the service here is very helpful, friendly and fast and courteous. Good place to stay.

Very nice, quiet, clean, spacious room! Loved the bed, which was very comfortable and soft. I almost didn't want to get out of it, lol. Will definitely like to stay here again if they have a good, low price again like they did this time.

There were restaurants very close. I found an easy way to get into the parking lot the day before we left. The main road in front is very busy. Not a very good choice of breakfast items at the hotel. The coffee wasn't very good. The staff was always attentive at the front desk. Very close to New Branfels and Gruene. Very affordable.

The motel was a little dated but the room served its purpose. I was looking for a clean bed and a hot shower and that's what I got. Staff was cordial. Insulated walls would've been nice so I wouldn't have had to listen to the guest in the next room yell every vulgarity know to man as he played his video game. Aside from that it was a pleasant experience.

Comfy room, but a little in the pricey side for a motel. It was helpful that if you wanted to eat, there were a bunch of choices very close by. Front desk staff was very very nice and courteous!!

Service was so friendly and smooth. The rooms are a little dated and have wear and tear, but the service made up for it in my opinion.

I was skeptal to say the least, I don’t normally stay in any motel when with family, and know the reputation of most Motel 6 hotels. This hotel however exceeded my expectations, nice big rooms, little kitchenette with a full size fridge, and large bathrooms!!! I would definetly stay again!! The beds were not the most comfortable in the world, but worked, after all nothing is as comfortable as your bed at home!!! I almost would call this a hidden gem in New Braunfels, they seemed empty most of the time we were there!! We wanted to hit the hilights here and were happy with the central location, nothing was more than 10 minutes away!!

There wasn't any new coffee packets, but was old used coffee in coffee machine, had only small towels, and I had to go to the lobby after calling about tv not working. Waited 30 minutes. Not enough parking. Had to park on other side of property

Receptionist was amazing. The rooms were very clean.

They had clean beds. Parking was okay as well. Staff was helpful with information.

Its hard to find a hotel that feels actually safe and here i felt safe.

THE LOCATION IS PERFECT! Getting into and out of can be a challenge. It is a quaint little place, neat, clean. However, outdated in today's fast paced world. If your sharing the room with your spouse privacy is not an issue. With non-relatives privacy would be an issue due to no door on the restroom. A curtain is all that separates one from everyone else in the room. Despite the privacy issue I would be tempted to stay because of the location and the service from the front office and staff.

The hotel is clearly old, but very quaint. We were surprised that the room was so quiet, especially being right next to the Interstate, and we were in a room right next to the parking lot. Never heard a sound once our room door closed, as though the room was sound-proof! Adding a door to the toilet/shower room wouldn't hurt, but otherwise, our stay was good. No complaints.

This was our second time visiting, and we’ve fallen in love with this place! The private river access and staff hospitality are amazing perks. We love to sit on the back patio and watch the moon and stars while listening to the sounds of the river and nature. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The walk-in shower was really nice, having excellent water pressure, temperature, and shower head options. Don’t underestimate the luxury of getting a really nice shower after playing in the sun and river all day. Getting a free shuttle every morning to the launch point and tubing back to the property is so fun and convenient! Plenty of local restaurants to visit or order from. Already excited to book our trip back next year!

This place was exactly as it was advertised, but even that did not prepare me for the wonderful experience I had! It was a spacious cabin style room with a rustic wooden deck out back overlooking the river below. The surrounding area was well lit with decorative soft lights that outlined the beautiful walkways leading down to the river landing. The river landing was landscaped perfectly to match the surrounding mountainous area. Even though I live in central CA, I am going to find a way to make it out to this place again just to experience it for more than the one day I was there! I had an amazing experience! This was not a modern chain style of hotel that I stay in very frequently, and I absolutely loved it! If you stay here, expect a nice quiet getaway for a few days at least. Well done!

It was a perfect little last minute cozy spot. We had 2 adults and 6 children and our cabin comfortably slept 6 people with plenty of space for the kids (ages 6-10) to play. It was somewhat quiet, although we could hear traffic sounds. But the stars were amazing. We had coffee on the balcony whole the kids played at the little park that is on site

We were personally contacted shortly after making reservations and asked if anything could be arranged for us. The contact was impressive customer service and appreciated! Communications were punctual regarding our check in process. The room was amazing! Beautifully done - comfortable -- we slept like logs! The best part of our stay was the incredible view of the river and the proximity to Canyon Lake. When we return to TX, we will be back for an extended stay! Thank you Hideout!!

Wow! What a great hidden gem with a better price than most hotels. Amazing porch view with comfy beds and great ac. Also the staff was very nice and helpful with a mistake i made with the reservation. Arrived on a Wednesday and decided to stay there the final few days of our trip. Made our trip that much more awesome!
