The location was great and the supermarket was on walking distance. We did a couple of hikes in the neighborhood ehoud which were maximal 30 minutes by car. We also had a jacuzzi at the house which has been well used.

We really enjoyed our stay at chalet no.7. It was clean, comfortable, warm and had everything we needed. Loved having the fireplace with wood supplied. Lots of space for our family of 2adults and 2 kids. Parking right next to our chalet. Safe and quiet even though we were near main road. So convenient to Ohakune town, carrot adventure park and ski field. Having our own spa out back was an added bonus. Friendly reception- very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely come stay again.

Loved our stay here with our young family and will be returning in July for a Winter stay! Chalet was lovely and clean, spacious, beds were comfortable, good shower, quiet surroundings and close to the main playground, restaurants and town. Staff were also very helpful!

We were here for 3 nights as we were doing the Tongariro Alpine crossing. It was a 35/40 mins drive to the car park. The Chalet was perfect, walking distance from the town. The Chalet was clean and spacious. The beds were super comfy. There is a nice little outside deck where I sat and enjoyed reading my book. The kitchen was big enough to cook a full meal. We only made breakfast and lunches as we walked to the town for dinner all 3 of the nights. The most important thing was the 3 hot tubs- they are brand new and on our whole trip, we were the only ones in there!! They are massive and definitely worth a visit.

Loved our stay with our family. So much space felt just like being at home. Beds were super comfortable, everything was very modern and clean. Loved there was a washer and dryer what a bonus for a weekend away to not come home with washing, especially with kids. Spa and sauna facilities were perfect too, clean and never had to wait. The man at the front desk was very friendly when we arrived. We will defiantly be back!

We enjoyed the facilities at the Motel, Staff were excellent very helpful and treated us like with respect. The staff made us feel at home. The jacuzzi was on Point, All the rooms were cleaned everyday.

The location was excellent - just a few minutes to walk into town. There was a supermarket very close by and cafes and restaurants just minutes away. The room was clean and well equipped and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Shaun was very helpful and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend this motel and we plan to return when we are next in Blenheim.

Superbly appointed room with great kitchen facilities, complete with capsule coffee maker! Nice touches elsewhere too e.g. proper computer chair to use. Really spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and loads of towels. Very comfortable bed and overall a good experience. Super friendly hosts. Easy walking distance to Blenheim shops, restaurants, theatre etc. Highly recommended.

The moment you open the door, you will be awed by the layout. Spacious and luxurious indeed. You will have two queen beds and two single beds in a two-floor room. Kids love playing up and down the stairs, and it was undoubtedly the best stay throughout our North Island trip in NZ. The personal spa jacuzzi in the room was another standout feature of this stay. There is also an on-property playground for the kids. The room was clean, comfortable and complete.

Excellent location for a couple of days in Rotorua. Room was clean, well equipped and in a good size. Beds are very comfy and clean. They change towels every day. You can use also a small jacuzzi. Parking in front of your doors. Owner is a very friendly person who let us leave our bags for a couple of days after check out. Very recommended. Arista is close to the city center, TePuia and Wakarewarewa Park.

The rooms are spacious for a family of 6. The upstairs room is perfect for the kids which give them there own space and downstairs room is perfect for mum and dad. The room is split between upstairs and downstairs with a peace of mind that you can still see and hear your kids from the downstairs part of the room. The blue hot tub bath outside is awesome. You might think it's too cold to have a bath outside but don't be fooled you need it outside cause the hotub is really good. Manage to fit 4 kids and 2 adults in there. There's also a fenced playground for the kids too.

The room was modern and clean and the staff were nice and really helpful. I would definitely stay again. Bathroom could use a touch up, and the hotub taps would benefit from a polish to spruce things up and match the pics but as I say I would be happy to stay again and would highly recommend to others. Great central position!

I have stayed at a lot of motels recently and this was by far the nicest, from the minute we walked into reception. Staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much. Rooms are super clean, warm and comfortable. Beds are really comfortable also. The heated pool was an added bonus. A relaxing area, and the pool temperature was perfect. This motel is located in a really nice, quiet area, even though it's on a side street, off a main road. It is also not too far from supermarkets, restaurants, petrol stations etc. We will definitely be back

The pillows really are the nicest, we even checked the tag to see what brand to try and source our own!. Rooms were comfortable, warm, spacious and clean, bed and linen were so comfy and the private pool was an absolute luxury 😍 Hosts and staff were amazingly welcoming and friendly and just left us to get on with it. Quiet and peaceful, short stroll into town, highly recommend if you want a lovely getaway. My partner and I had such an awesome time, thanks Sport of Kings 10/10 👍

Let me just start by saying, we have travelled to many countries in our past 33 years and chose to stay here to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. What we found was an absolutely perfect spot for visiting Rotorua. Beautiful and clean, the room was perfect, bed comfortable and the spa was amazing, though very hot!! I took a dip in the pool which was lovely, perfect for kids too and big enough to have a bit of a swim. The staff were so lovely, personable and happy to help in anyway. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone, from singles to families, it has everything you need. And it was very quiet!!

Incredible view on the bay, very roomy apartment, the jacuzzi was great.

The best facilities and fantastic ocean views made our trip happy and gave us a time to heal. The large, comfortable Jacuzzi was also the best, and the Sunrise from the balcony was an unforgettable and beautiful scene. The kitchen was perfectly prepared and we were lucky to have a beautiful night view from the balconies on the first and second floors. The pounding waves made us have a happy sleep. It is a great home that I would like to say is the perfect accommodation and would like to come back to. ♡

The view from the apartment was really beautiful. Our two bedroom apartment was very well equipped- it had two bathrooms with a sauna and jacuzzi, the kitchen had everything you would need and there was also a washing machine and dryer which I had not expected. We had a memorable stay. Would definitely recommend it.

We loved our stay in this wonderful apartment managed by very kind Doug. He picked us up and dropped us at the bus terminal as taxis are unreliable. How great is that. Top man. We particularly loved luxuriating in the jacuzzi after a long day sight seeing. Everything you need in the compact well stocked kitchen. Supermarket 5 minutes walk away and town centre about 15 minutes walk. Very peaceful. Would highly recommend this apartment

Perfect retreat in the rainforest with easy access to Franz Josef glacier activities and hikes! Right in the small town center, everything is walkable. We stayed in one of the gecko cottages which was perfect for us! These seem updated and new. These have a large shower, tv and small kitchenette which were great! Felt very secluded in the rainforest while actually being very close to everything. The jacuzzi and sauna are right by reception for all the guests to use. There were many accommodation options here for all types of travelers.

What a delightful stay! We had booked a "Deluxe Tree Lodge" and on arrival were pleasantly surprised to learn we were upgraded to a "Deluxe Spa Tree House" - it was a gorgeous two bedroom with a large kitchen, living room, and a roomy jacuzzi on our deck. The jacuzzi was surrounded by rainforest flora that made it very private. The lodge has a large laundry facility which came in very handy. The lodge is a short walk to the main street of franz josef - while we were there buying provisions, the clouds parted revealing the beautiful glacier. (btw I've read the occasional bad review here -- these seemed to be for other portions of the lodge - - the lodge has a wide range of accommodation - my writeup is on the Tree lodges which are wonderful. ).

This Hotel is beautifully kept, clean and quiet. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. There is not a bar or restaurant open yet but the option will be there soon and I am sure it will be a top class as the rest of the hotel. We stayed three days and loved every minute.

Minnie was so welcoming and helpful. The room was perfect for our travel planning day with good wifi, a comfortable bed and breakfast at the hotel was a nice bonus.

This is a good hotel within walking distance of the centre - about 15-20 mins. The room is a good size for 2 with a small kitchen area with a microwave and fridge so you can make coffee and a snack if you want to. The bed was large and comfortable. The air conditioning worked to cool and heat the room which was handy. It has a large bathroom with a shower with either a large drenching head or a shower on a flexible hose. One nice touch was the TV had Netflix which was logged on and useable to guests. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had an amazing 1-night Valentines Day getaway at the Marsden. The location is very good, about 10min drive outside of Cromwell in the lakeside suburb of Pisa Moorings. Our 1-bedroom apartment was located on the edge of a small embayment coming off Lake Dunstan, with the large balcony extending out over the water. The apartment was large and airy with full length windows providing views across the small lagoon. Our luxury apartment had a large open plan kitchen/dining/living area with comfortable seating and TV viewing. The AC worked well and the free Wifi internet worked was fast and dependable. There was a washer and dryer unit out in the garage. The bed was comfortable the area very quiet so we were able to have a very peaceful sleep. We planned to have breakfast at the resort restaurant, however upon inspection of the dining area and finding it unappealing (indoors, dark, cramped, busy) we decided to hit Subway and have a picnic breakfast on the lakefront. We expected there to be a nice outdoor eating area to enjoy the nice summer weather. Overall we had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it to other travelers.

Staying at Marsden Lake Resort really was an amazing experience. The staff were very welcoming and friendly when I arrived. I found the facilities to be incredible and my room was just perfect. So spacious, comfortable and quiet. A real feeling of luxurious relaxation and peace. The views from the property and just outside are just stunning. Very very highly recommend.

Once again, our stay at Marsden Lake Resort was AMAZING. We are a local couple from Cromwell and absolutely love treating ourselves to a wee night away every now and then. This place is perfect, super close to home but yet seems like you're in a different country whilst sitting on your balcony over the water with all the beautiful mountains in the background. Staff are always exceptionally friendly and welcoming and the rooms are always immaculate and extremely comfortable. Busy saving my pennies as I would very happily live in one of these units. Highly recommend!!! We'll be back very soon!

We stayed one night in a King Studio room on the top floor of apartment 14. The room was massive, clean, and comfortable. The eggshell bath was very relaxing and the view over the water was gorgeous. The room had everything we needed including a fridge and tea/coffee facilities. We also used one of their infant cots which was great. The location is beautiful and peaceful, only a short 8min drive to Cromwell which has lots of dining options. We loved our stay and would highly recommend Marsden Lake Resort.

Booked a nights accomodation and restaurant food and drinks for family who were here from overseas. Reception and restaurant staff were so helpful in helping me to organise this as a surprise. My brother and his wife were stoked and had a fabulous night away. Room - Comfortable but needed aired out Restaurant - Food and customer service was apparently absolutely incredible. They raved about how amazing the food was! Thank you so much for helping to pull this off team

I have always had great experiences at this hotel from a long time ago in Dallas Texas. The hotel in Wellington NZ was no different. The receptionist, Katelin was awesome to handle our check in and putting us up in a fabulous room with the big Jacuzzi tub. She also enrolled me in IHG membership. Jeromy at the concierge desk was a delightful young man who welcomed us with a cheerful smile. He helped us with our dinner reservation. Everything was great!

The hotel is in a great central location. Our premium room had a nice view overlooking the harbour together with access to the Club Lounge. There was nothing particularly special about the room although we did find the bed quite comfortable (maybe too soft for some). The Club Lounge on the 7th floor had a very relaxed ambience and excellent staff. They served breakfast in the mornings which included a chef who would cook anything you fancied. They also served a very good afternoon tea which included a tiered selection of sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats. And in the evenings it was a selection of canapés together with wine/cocktails. The hotel also featured a nice Spa area which included a heated indoor pool, jacuzzi and small sauna. The gym was pretty good too and featured lots of free weights. Highly recommended if you are planning a stay in Wellington, especially if you reserve a room with Club Lounge access.

Comfortable American-style motel. I parked my car right in front of the door to the room. Large room with kitchen. It was clean and comfortable. On site I used the small pool with warm water and the jacuzzi.

We effectively received duplex accommodation which far exceeded our expectation, separate bedrooms plus shower units with a convenient lounge and kitchen, the jacuzzi attached to this unit is a splendid benefit. Ideal location for significant sightseeing spots. win win = hAPPY BUNNIES.

The complex has existed for some time and is well maintained. The room had plenty of space, was clean and bed was comfortable. The bonus was a good size covered verandah with a large Jacuzzi, which my wife used daily. The verandah also looked over some majestic gardens with a fresh creek flowing through. Very relaxing. Breakfast was delivered to your unit on the morning and had a excellent range of choices both hot and cold. But the surprise was the Restaurant that was part of the establishment. It had a relaxed casual feel and a really great range of meals and drinks to choose from. The chef and waiter are to be congratulated on the quality dining delivered. The staff in the office also were welcoming and very helpful whenever we had an enquiry. We would definately stay here again. Thank you

The king deluxe bedroom was huge and it didn't matter the view was of highway 20. It was soundproof window but not sure if room was as can hear people passing in hall. The bed very comfy, so technological with automated blinds, light switches and massive tv. Bathroom beautiful and shower with rainfall shower head. Everything abt room was beautifully presented, had comfy chairs and table to sit at. Even had all coffee and tea amenities, but also a nespresso - loved it. It's near motorway so easy to get to airport or city great location. We had dinner in Tiger restaurant first night, nice and spacious, including booths. Yummy food, they make their own prawn shiumai which was delicious, also we had butter chicken and tempura snapper fish and chips. Fish was fresh. The restaurant staff were so professional and friendly We had a Asian guy (sorry not yr name) but he was awesome. Beautiful hotel would stay here again, honestly value for money and I think just the same as staying at the cordis or other hotels in city that are twice the price. Thank you for a great experience

This was a challenging trip for me for family reasons…so I’d booked the last few nights of my trip at the Soho hoping for a little relief. Thanks to Duncan and his attentive staff I had a memorable 4 days. An upgrade to a beautiful suite complete with a luxurious bathtub, views across the Waitakare’s and to Skytower. Comfortable bed with both firm and soft pillows, double balcony (one with more privacy which I liked as I was travelling solo ). Room service and the restaurant were fabulous and Phoebe was so friendly. Shout out to the reception team too - so compassionate and helpful. I’m definitely booking again if I am back in NZ. Thanks again Duncan for your hospitality.

We could not fault anything really. Reception on arrival we welcoming and informative, then checkout was the same with a different person, very engaging and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed, the bar/restaurant staff were amazing KJ(I think) and Phoebe, even the second day at breakfast she recited our tea/coffee order from the previous day. We had cooked breakfasts for 2 morning and one dinner and they were very good, we discussed that there is no need to go anywhere else if the meals and service are this good. Parking was easy but I assume if it was full, it may be different? Well-done team, and good work on your staff selection and/or training. We will be back, and are already recommending.

I recently stayed at The Soho Hotel in Auckland and was impressed by the overall experience. The room was spacious and stylish, with a large tv and nice tea and coffee facilities, offering a comfortable and modern atmosphere that made my stay enjoyable. I also appreciated the well-equipped gym, which had everything I needed for a good workout. However, there were a couple of minor downsides. The makeup light in the bathroom didn’t work, but this was not a major issue. The breakfast room service was lovely! I ordered avocado on toast, and it was fresh and delicious.

Staff was amazing, warm, friendly and professional, the bed was super comfortable, I love the fact they didn't require a deposit either, the food from Tiger Bar was exceptional. Highly recommend the creamy mushroom for breakfast, location is good too, right by the motor way and woolworths. I loved how the room was also hight tech, wireless charger, button to close and open curtains and the fact there was windows for fresh air. Even the door at the front was a blast fo walk in and out of, there is also chrome casting available.

The lady at the front desk was so pleasant and cheerful and happy. Very helpful and nothing was a bother. The hottub was fantastic at the end of a long day. The lady at the desk even made sure it was hot and ready after a day trip to Milford Sound.

This is a practical motel not far from Hamilton CBD. The room wasn’t large but it had a comfortable king-size bed. There were basic facilities to be able to make breakfast. There was a teeny outdoor terrace if you wanted to sit or eat in the fresh air: no view though! As the motel has 2 storeys and each has its own parking space the car parking space was quite tight. It’s on a long street of motels, though a paucity of restaurants. However, there is a big supermarket at the end of the road. The guys on reception were welcoming and friendly.

Loved everything about the room. Was perfect. Like a home away from home. We booked a 2 bedroom unit, so 1 bedroom had a large double bed and a single bed, and the other bedroom had a large double bed with wardrobe, tv with sky, lamps, a mirror, 2 dressing tables, a ranch slider with a small deck and seating area. Lounge had a heat pump, dining table, couch, TV with sky and Netflix, a sink and fridge, microwave, plenty of seating. Bathroom had shower, toilet, vanity, hair dryer, heated towel rail. They had an extension cord in the wardrobe with an iron and ironing board, heater, fan, extra blankets and pillows. We found the location quiet, safe, comfortable and enjoyable. Cleaning staff went above and beyond. We asked for just a couple more towels and they came in and quickly vacuumed, washed dishes, replaced coffee and teas, and replaced linen. Parking - right outside the room. Could carry bags from car to room in 5 steps.

As per my google review. Great value for money. The reveption smelt like curry and spice but everywhere else smelt fresh and clean. We got given 250ml of full cream milk. We got a 2 bedroom apartment upstairs. It was raining so the stairs and upstairs walkway was very slippery. There were signs out advising people to be careful. In our apartment, 1 bedroom had 3 x single beds (soft to medium firmness) and 1 x super king bed in the other (medium firmness). Large bathroom with great amenities, walk in large tiled shower and toilet. The kitchen well equipped with cutlery and crockery. Breville kettle and toaster. Very clean aaprt from under the beds, alot of rubbish and fluff. Overall a great stay, very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend. There was no emergency housing people, all the people we spoke to were executives or people staying the night before heading to Auckland. Anyway, we will definitely be staying again! Great location and close to the Perry Stadium 😊

This was a fantastic hotel. It’s perfectly situated right next to the steps to the gondola and is just a stones throw from the main thoroughfare but on a peaceful and quiet side street with no noise. The lake is just a short walk too. The service is wonderful. I can’t remember the name of the gentleman who checked us in but he was so warm and friendly with his welcome and whenever he saw us and helpful with suggestions for our day and our next travel point. The rooms were lovely. Very clean with a minimalist design that was chic but still super comfortable (esp the couch and seats in our sitting room). We stayed on the 5th floor and had a lovely patio with a jacuzzi (we never used it). Our room also came with a W/D which was very convenient. We had access to the afternoon tea (3-5pm) and cocktail hour (5-7pm) which was very nice. The food itself is just fine but it was a fun diversion during the day when we wanted a little snack and refreshment. The bar area where it is held has a nice vibe too. Breakfast is small but has all the basics and the food service is also friendly. I know there are some fabulous properties outside of Queenstown but we loved being in the center and would highly recommend the Sofitel if you decide the same!

This hotel is located in a superb central position close to all of the facilities of Queenstown and has the advantage of valet car parking. We enjoyed two nights in a superior room that was immaculately presented with great amenities and a very large comfortable bed. The room was spacious and clean with a very nice bathroom and had nice views towards the gondola. The rooms do not have the best views of Queenstown however as many overlook adjacent premises or car parks. The staff are a mix of international who are very helpful, efficient and professional. The breakfast offering in the Left Bank Bistro was superb. The le Salon Rouge cocktail bar had a fabulous ambience and relaxing vibe. Although we did not dine here the menu was a delight and the dining room of exceptional quality in terms of decor, furnishings and lighting. We had a thoroughly enjoyable two nights stay spoilt only by a real estate auction taking place in a meeting room adjacent to the reception. It was unfortunate that the hotel management were unable to supervise the arrogant and ignorant behaviour associated with this group of agents who commandeered and wandered around the reception and public areas oblivious to hotel patrons and anyone but themselves. It's a pity that the hotel doesn't limit the room hire to 5 star patronage, just like the guests!

A return visit to the Sofitel Queenstown, a glorious boutique 5-star hotel with French luxury in the heart of Queenstown, was sublime! We had an all-round wonderful stay and treated magnificently by all the staff. It’s no wonder his hotel rates so highly for the staff, amenities, position and its offerings ★★★★★ The Sofitel boasts a perfect position - only metres to the main area of town, shops, wharf, restaurants, Queenstown gardens and the lake. Our luxurious room with high-end touches and a large living area was perfect with a breathtaking ‘Remarkables’ view. The bed was superb, and we enjoyed the beautiful marble bathroom with heated floors and the two-person spa bath. Breakfast each morning in the Left Bank Bistro was delicious, as were the canapes/drinks at Le Salon Rouge in the evening. Car parking was a breeze with attentive service from the team. It was simply an outstanding break and all the staff we interacted with were wonderful – all very friendly, welcoming and professional. A big thankyou to: Front Office, Reservations & Concierge: the brilliant Pradnya and Harriet with Valerie, Luca and Tristan; Le Salon Rouge: the lovely Karishna and Naoife with JP and Remi; Left Bank Bistro: the ever happy and smiling Karla with HaThu and Camila. We went here with friends and had a wonderful stay in our club room suites. Having a club room breakfast is included here but there is no club lounge but we could have a buffet breakfast and order eggs dishes. The evening drinks was in their main bar for 2 hours with a canape plate delivered to your table. Wine and spirits were also supplied from the friendly bar staff. We had dinner here one night in the restaurant which was excellent and very tasty. I would love to stay here again and it was central within Queenstown, and overheard a conversation that it was going to be renovated this year supposedly.

The balcony looking towards the Pacific Ocean was nice. We left the back door open to listen to the ocean as we slept. The bed was the most comfortable we had our entire trip. We enjoyed the large jacuzzi tub in the room, too. The nearby Drift restaurant was a bust but the Irish Pub down the way was good for drinks. There is a large kid park across the street by the ocean. Also, Ice cream is a close walk next to the kid park. Many shops and restaurants are a short walk away- no vehicle needed. We would recommend this place.

Had an amazing stay at Lake Tekapo Cottages. Location is 10/10, a very short walk to the lake and into town over the foot bridge but still feels very peaceful, quiet and nestled away. The cottage was very modern, clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.

Our chalet had a private parking space out front, private hot tub and small garden, but Nos: 25 (where our son stayed) had a much bigger private garden so ask for this one! The pool area was clean and well kept, the water was warm as promised, barbecue clean and easy to use - tools at reception. Staff friendly, plenty of towels for both shower and pool use and everything else you needed to be very comfortable. One issue is that the room needs net curtains for privacy, also no security safe and WiFi was a bit hit and miss, but soaking in the warm pool made up for these small omissions.

Stayed a week in an upstairs 1 bedroom unit. Zheng & Yuting, the managers of this spotlessly clean motel were very helpful, friendly hosts, with a good knowledge of Christchurch. It was an easy walk into the city. The nearest shops, including restaurants a supermarket, and bus stop to " The Palms" a large shopping mall, was only a short block away. The warm unit was spacious,our bed was comfortable, the shower was great and despite being on a fairly busy road, the unit was very quiet.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our suite was lovely and spacious, clean and modern, and the lodge is in a great location with a FreshChoice supermarket just down the road and within walking distance of the city centre. Great selection and ability to order own off menu eggs benedict highly recommend, this also looks over the lake and you can have dinner and lunch as well( the staff at breakfast are to be commended so efficient and kind).The pool(25 metres) warm, however can still do laps, jacuzzi and gym facilities are all great love you can access gym 24/7 and pool till 10pm👏👏 loved out stay and will be back. On checking out the lovely Mohammed and Bastien, assisted with accounts and bags to car. Ever moment was perfect.

We ended our 11D10N trip to NZ chilling at this lovely resort by the lake, for 3 days before heading home. What a right decision to make! The days were blessed with beautiful sun, watching sunrise and sunset by the tranquil lake was just a perfect ending to this wonderful trip. The staff are very attentive, the food was great too and the whole architecture of this resort was so cleverly put out to bring excitement at every corner for you…. There are indoor heated swimming pool, sauna , steam Bath and jacuzzi, and a spa … ahhh these were much welcomed by our sore joints and aching muscles generated by all the fun activities we had in the past many days before coming here… A trip to Queenstown town is still possible by water taxi just in front of the resort. We had a fantastic dinner at Ayrburn, a food haven that are decorated with wonderful light displays at night and my son did some last minute shopping at Queenstown Central in Frankton, nearby. We hope to return someday.

I stayed in a King Wakatipu suite. It was spacious, comfortable, clean, warm and well maintained. The view of the lake was beautiful and I enjoyed the location being a bit outside town so it was nice and quiet. I found all the the staff to be very friendly, particularly in the restaurant. The breakfast offering was fine, though not top notch - but the food from the restaurant for dinner was delicious. I had 2 massages in the spa which were both excellent. The main reason for not giving 5 stars is that the decor is very tired and in need of an update. While my room was in good repair it did feel dark and heavy. For the price, it really does need to be a level up to warrant a super duper rating. Plus a few little extras in the room - such as a stocked minibar, and some extra amenities like bath salts, cotton tips etc would be nice. But, I'd stay there again. Very comfy.

Stayed in the spa suite during some very cold NZ weather. Room was clean, warm with the heat pump going and the tv had great options. A hot spa bath, movie and very comfortable bed was just what we needed for some r&r on our road trip. Quiet and convenient location right near the lake and walking distance to stores and restaurants. This is the perfect place for a stay before or after your flight. Close to the airport, they offer a free shuttle, and the most rooms are modern and newly renovated when we stay. A wonderful surprise. We choose to stay here when we travel overseas both before we leave and after arriving back. This time was exceptional. We had booked a larger room upon our return. Stepping inside had the wow factor. The room has been renovated and upgraded beautifully. The beds are new and comfortable; the shower has great pressure and apart from putting a small shelf in the shower to hold the shampoo etc, if was perfect. I will recommend it 100%.

I don’t think the bad reviews are fair! The beds are very comfy, the shower is great, the kitchenette is fully equipped, the hot tub is amazing, the towels are plush and fluffy, and the staff are so helpful and friendly! They provided us with a map and showed us where to go to eat, provided us with fresh milk upon check in and a block of chocolate upon check out! Sure it’s dated, but who cares. It’s clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The only downside was our neighbours, we had smokers who chose to sit right outside our door so we couldn’t have it or the windows opened at all on one side, and a snorer who talked really late on the phone on the other side. So the walls are very thin! But things like this can’t be helped. The wifi was the best we’ve had the entire week we’ve been in New Zealand too. I would definitely stay here again! :)

This is a great choice - free parking and maybe 10 minutes walk to the main street in Hamilton, which has lots of options for food, bars etc. I asked when checking out and a number of rooms have been refurbished in the last few months (and it has been done well). Bathroom with a shower, hot tub and nice sink - all work well. Kitchen area with fridge, kettle, microwave, crockery and cutlery. Very comfy bed with nice linen. Everything spotlessly clean. Plenty of spare plug sockets and good WiFi. Table and chairs as well as a desk. I also though the price was very fair. I suspect you'll struggle to get a better deal in Hamilton.

The room was very very clean and looked to have been just renovated. Everything was modern and very comfortable. I left an item behind and the staff were very helpful in locating this item for me and ensuring they were returned to relative I had advised them would be collecting it. Very very happy and have no hesitation in recommending Ashwood. We will stay again

This was our 3rd stay here. We only come to Alpine Lake Motel now. The hosts are lovely and welcoming, and we love that it’s set back off of the main road into Taupo, so it’s quieter with no traffic noise. The room is impeccably clean and beautifully maintained. We enjoy the mountain view room on the 2nd level, which is a larger studio room, and has a great view of the mountain when it’s clear of clouds. It’s warm with the heat pump. Beautifully new ensuite bathroom with heated towel rail and excellent hot shower pressure. There are toiletries provided to use if needed. Just your general shampoo/conditioner/body wash/hand soap/toilet paper. Nice little kitchenette with full size fridge/microwave/Nespresso coffee machine/kettle/teas/instant coffee/coffee pods for machine/hot chocolate/fresh milk!!- not the awful long life tiny milk packets so many hotels/motels are now providing. My only criticism is the mattress is definitely getting old and slightly uncomfortable now. We still slept well each night, but I just think it’s old.

Loved it here for a couples quiet and peaceful weekend away from the kids. We loved the nice big comfy bed, the clean and well appointed modern room and bathroom. Shower pressure was better than at home! Kitchenette has a fridge and microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. That’s all we needed as we planned on eating out. There’s plenty of car parking. The hosts are very warm, friendly, and welcoming. Close to town, walking distance of about 15 minutes each way. The best thing is the rooms are soundproofed, so you’re not hearing your neighbours talking and moving around! Thats a luxury in my opinion! We’ve already booked to stay again.

We stayed in the Mountain View suite -I think because I saw a review. And they weren’t kidding, this studio is massive! We’ve had a busy 10 days road tripping around the Nth Is and decided for our last day to just have a cosy nap kinda day (after a morning boat trip across the lake). Could not ask for a better room to sloth out in. Watched movies and rugby, got takeaways to eat in and generally recharged in peace and quiet -all this with the stunning mountain views and colours of autumn on display. Also on check in, I called to ask for more shower gel and help for a stuck bathroom sink plug & Sophie and co came up promptly and sorted it for us. Also the shower was my fav of this trip! (I know it’s a small thing but I love showers lol) Close to the food, shops, lake, Two Mile Bay Sailing Club, you name it. Will recommend to anyone who asks us. We stayed in the king deluxe studio with kitchenette, great room and bathroom. Kitchenette is small but manageable to cook some breaky and make a coffee. Bed was really comfy and very clean rooms but just a little small overall. Super helpful and friendly staff. TV channels and wifi are a major plus. A negative would be that staff couldn't supply a mattress for the porta cot that they had.

We stayed one night here for the Eagles concert at Spark Arena. Small room but it was all we needed! Clean, tidy! Comfy bed and comfy pillows! (I can hardly ever say that about anywhere I stay). I really liked the free wifi, the body wash dispenser on the shower wall, the aircon unit, the well marked car parks, and the information compendium thing in the room. It’s only about 5km to Spark Arena so didn’t take long in the car at all to get to our concert after checking in. We had the very front room (01) facing the busy road and yet car noise wasn’t a problem. Fridge was a decent size for all our drinks and food! Nice area of Auckland, and we felt safe. Wouldn’t hesitate to book there again!

We had booked a 2 bedroom exwcutive apartment for a family of 4. When asked Marco ( the property manager) whether there was any road noise, he suggested (and offered) that we stay in a 2 bedroom townhouse as it was very quiet and away from traffix noise. We accepted the townhouse as we didnt want any noise during the nighttime. Overall it was a comfortable stay. The townhouse is older than I expected and compared to the apartment that I originally booked. Beds were comfortable, but felt like some of the edge springs might have been broken as there was no support if layed on the edge, otherwise very comfortable and clean. Shower had a very low disappoiting pressure and was also leaking a bit, otherwise clean shower box. TVs need upgrading as they seem to be too old and very dim to enjoy anything. Curtains and drape need a refresh too. Also would suggest one additonal mirror somewhere other than bathroom. This could be a life saver when travelling with 3 girls.

We needed somewhere to stay before taking the train to Greymouth early in the morning. This was perfect. 10min from the railway station and easy walking distance to the Riccarton mall. * Room clean ,comfortable and warm * Very good internet- Able to complete all the work I needed to * Excellent shower -great pressure and plenty of hot water- 10/10 * Bed both comfortable and warm. * Bed has a electric blanket - was nice on a cold evening * Owner helpful with good accurate information * Nearby Riccarton has everything you could need for a stay in Christchurch. For a quick meal try the roast shop near the movie theatre- Lovely ,well cooked food. Vegetarian option amazing. * Reasonably priced motel and would stay again if back in Christchurch.

We had a wonderful stay and cannot say enough about Marco, our fantastic host! We stayed for 10 days. The location of the hotel is central with a brief walk to one of Christchurch’s largest malls, with a food court, Kmart and lots of other stores. There is close access to the City bus too, which we used daily! Our room was lovely. It was cleaned daily, dishes washed, beds made, fresh towels, coffee/tea/hot chocolate packets and cookies. There is a patio too! Continental breakfast is available upon request along with access to laundry. Marco was very attentive to any help we needed and truly understands the importance of excellent customer service that really makes a difference! We very much enjoyed our stay!

This motel is located about 200 m from Westfield shopping centre with ample parking . Our room had a queen size bed with a kitchenette and bathroom with spa bath . Superbly clean and well thought out with a small microwave , fridge , toaster and plenty of tea , coffee , hot chocolate and butter cookies . Utensils also included scissors and can opener. A pair of tongs also available . There was no stove . Wifi was very fast . TV shows included Netflix though the TV could be bigger . The bed was very comfortable and we had a great night sleep . There was also a heater both in the bathroom and the bedroom. Will definitely return .

Really enjoyed our stay here, would stay again! The location was perfect, the Riccarton mall just a small walk away and Riccarton shops really close. Room was clean, every service was spotless. There was no Heatpump which is just a personal preference (not a big deal) but the room had great air flow and the heaters were perfectly fine. Quiet area, good tv reception & great to have Netflix for when I was there. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!!

It's not far from the city and close to the Colombo St, you find a supermarket, a fuel station and plenty of eateries around. The place has sufficient parking and laundry facilities too ($4 a load). The bed was OK, with a small pantry with the usual stuff, and a wash room with a tub (jacuzzi didn't work, so it was just a tub).

We booked in advance and had very little idea of what this motel would be like, except that it was in a very convenient location.(about 20 minute walk into city centre).We loved it from the moment we arrived.David was so welcoming and helpful, and the motel itself was very attractive and quiet.We had arrived several hours ahead of check in time, but David willingly stored our luggage for us, and had already moved it to our room on our return.Our room was spacious and very clean and comfortable and the bed especially comfortable.Another bonus was the en suite bathroom, which had a spa bath.Would recommend Rosewood Court to anyone and would definitely stay there again.

Had a great experience at Rosewood Court Motel for 4 nights. The place was cleaned every day to a high standard and very warm. The shower pressure was amazing. A very comfy wee unit that also supplied a lot of cooking utensils and items which is unlike a lot of motels these days. The service was amazing, the host is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend to anyone and will be staying here again.

Motel was very well presented and owners were very helpful . We had booked 2 rooms . Motel was in easy walking distance to 3 eating places just down the road and about 15 minutes on foot to the square. Was very comfortable and with double glazing was quiet at night . Just one area which could be improved on . In both rooms the floor in the kitchen and bathrooms were sticky and appeared to not have been cleaned . Perhaps this is only done every know and then if this is the case . Then this needs to be address as they should be in my opinion moped after each quest leaves. In saying this every thing else was clean and very well presented and we would stay their again and would recommend to others. It could be that the floors had been missed in both rooms on this Occassion. I would say if your looking for resionably priced quiet and comfortable accomodation close to the CPD then this motel will fit the bill perfectly.

Booked a single night and then returned after our road trip for 2 more nights. David was very helpful - he even helped with our laundry. Unit was spacious, clean and comfortable. Furniture somewhat dated, but functional. Beds comfortable. Close to the city and to some very good restaurants. Fair rates. Easy to recommend.

What an amazing place to stay! We had a room with a private thermal spa and garden dining - our room opened out into a cute enclosed courtyard where we ate a romantic dinner then enjoyed a luxurious spa! The spa garden was delightfully decorated with a ceiling of artificial plants, and golden tiles, and romantic lighting. Truly a treat! I should have taken more photos! Also, I loved the silver jewel themed bathroom tiles, and the vintage tea cups. Totally recommended for a unique and special getaway!

Hotel itself is older but it is well maintained and cared for. The lady that owns/manages the property is very friendly and helpful. The bed was a bit firmer than I like, but that’s a personal preference thing. View of the lake from the deck was spectacular. Rooms were very spacious. Good value for sure.

We were arriving after check in hrs, I rang though to discuss with hotel and they were so lovely and helpful. Accommodating to our schedule perfectly. Very friendly when we meet in the morning. Have stayed a couple times now with this hotel. Recommend to friends and family for sure. 10/10 stay in Taupo!! Situated directly opposite the lake with stunning views. Gorgeous to wake up to. And our private thermal spa amazing.

Carol (owner)was so pleasant and helpful, room was clean kitchen adequately stocked, thermal hot tub was a nice bonus, beautiful lake view on open decking area, gorgeous sunsets, within easy walking to center of town with plenty of shoppes and food/dining whatever you desired. Big information center in town and super helpful. Throughly enjoyed our stay there so much to see and do. Will recommend it without hesitation.

The suite was a good size, welcoming fresh, and with a nice view. The spa worked well and was well worth a relax in. All the beds were like soft clouds and the pillows were amazing. We had the best nights sleep. The couch was not to comfortable to sit in to watch tv as it sunk in the middle. The bonus was the plunger coffee. We were extremely thankful to drink a great cup of coffee. I would highly recommend this place as when you travel you want a good nights sleep.

It was in a central location and very clean and tidy. Had a great stay and could see a bit of the lake from our deck on the first floor which was a bonus. Received a friendly, welcoming check in.

Beechtree Motel is situated close to the shops but on a quiet street. Really enjoyed the extremely comfortable bed! Appreciated there being plenty of sachets for tea and coffee making. Decent sized shower and good water pressure. Will stay again.

Good Location, close to supermarket and restaurants We stayed in the Twin Room, it was comfortable/ clean and had plush carpets , the room had everything we needed for our short 3day weekend and the staff are friendly and hospitable. Bonus is the private spa bath and the car park right outside the door 👌🏼

It was perfect for two and even an extra, good space, clean, comfy, amenities were fair and a bonus to have a spa with jets that are powerful.

The owner made check in and out a breeze .. rooms were cosy n bed were so comfortable n the spa in the room was just amazing..

It was clean, warm and cozy, travelled with Husband and two teenage sons. We had a comfy stay and Owner was lovely.

This is a great choice for your next Hamilton stay. Only 1.5kmto the Casino and CBD plus all the bars and restaurants you could need. Reasonable prices, Friendly and accommodating staff, really nice units, impeccably clean with beds that you will never want to get out of, full access Sky, and the luxury of a full size spa bath, heaven! (although unfortunately I couldn't enjoy, as because of noise issues you can't use it from 10pm till 8 am.) There is even a small totally private little courtyard. All in all a perfect place for your stay in Hamilton... Enjoy!

We stayed 3 nights in the Ballinor Motor Inn and we‘re completely satisfied with what we got. Our host was very friendly and helpful, for example he did our laundry in his own washingmachine as the one for the guests was broken (we did pay that, of course, but it was a nice gesture). He helped us where possible and even recommended places to eat and have a nice evening. The apartment was very clean and comfortable even though we slept in one which is normally used by just four people and we were five but the staff was very friendly and gave us an extrabed. Would definetly recommend staying there!

Stayed here for 3 nights, very comfortable and the proprietors very kind and helpful. Breakfast is a very good value for money at $13 each served at a time to suite your convenience, the last available time being 9am. The rooms had everything you require, and the bathroom excellent which included the shower. Location ideal for Rugby or Cricket and other amenities like Petrol and Supermarkets within 1 kilometre of the property. Would definitely recommend the Ballinor Motor Inn to anybody who is looking for good clean accommodation while visiting Hamilton.

I travel a lot; especially with my children; and I must say the hosts at Ballinor Motor Inn were exceptional. Friendly, accommodating to our requests, even gave up their own car space to accomodate us. The rooms were clean, bright, modern and the spa bath is a definite highlight. The Beds are really comfortable and the airCon is nice and cold. Good value for money. We will definitely be staying again. Thank you.

Close walk/drive to the city centre Cons: Shower is quite small but the shower water pressure is good Overall, had a very comfortable stay. Reception staff were great. The spa pool was fantastic — the perfect way to unwind and relax at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend this place & would happily stay here again.

Older style motel, apparently in the process of being gradually refurbished. My room had not yet been renovated but it was absolutely immaculately clean and well presented. Very large room, huge bathroom and courtyard with spa. Convenient parking in front of room. Central location. Excellent value for money. Friendly and helpful staff, went out of their way to find an extension cord when I asked for my hairdryer. I would definitely stay here again.

The motel was easily located due to good signage. The staff member at Reception was very efficient and helpful, he even insisted in taking all our baggage up the 2 flights of stairs to our room on the second floor. The room was large and very clean. The double bed, queen size, was very comfortable. The cooking facilities consisted of a microwave as well as 2 hot plates. There were 2 television sets, one in the lounge area, the second in the bedroom..Being located on the second floor, we had a spa bath with an overhead shower. The spa was very pleasant to use. The only negative aspect here was when using either the spa or the shower, the plastic base of the spa became rather slippery. Fortunately there was a large handle available to hold on to if required. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, and would happily return.

Originally, we planned to stay at the motel for only one night, however, due to some unexpected circumstances, we needed to prolong our visit for a couple of additional days. We cannot express our gratitude to the manager who went above and beyond to make our stay at the motel as comfortable as possible and to help us in these circumstances. So just once again, a huge thank you for everything! In terms of the room itself, it was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Fully equipped mini kitchen with microwave, kettle, and all needed utensils. Clean bathroom with toiletries. A nice little private backyard with a hot tub and table with chairs to chill. TV with Netflix available. The motel is located within walking distance of the city centre and some shops. Would definitely recommend staying there.

The motel isn’t on the beach but it’s all of a minute walk, if that. And the beach is long, sweeping and dramatic. Decent bars and restaurants are about a 7 minute walk away. If we come back to the Niryh Island we’d stay / visit here again.

A relaxing getaway from the city. I have been to many hotels and motels in NZ. This is one of the best I have been. It is very spacious, tidy and clean. Bedroom and lounge is separated, there is also cooking facilities including the induction cooktop, microwave, toaster, kettle & a fridge for you to cook a simple meal. Nice view from the balcony. The room I stayed in has a spa pool, so you can relax and unwind. Staff are friendly and approachable . Overall, an amazing weekend for two. Would highly recommend this motel to any couple. :)

We had a King Suite with Spa Bath. Was pretty spacious even with sofa bed being used in the lounge so generally a good size. Was still a bit cool at night so the heat pump came in handy. Staff were friendly and helpful so check in was easy. Waves is about 100m from beach access - not the main Orewa beach but still a nice part to walk along and for kids to play. Is on the 'main' road but probably get less traffic on this road nowadays so was not noisy. Is about 10-15 minute walk from town or 2-3 minute drive. From what we could see Waves is a bit more modern than some of the other motels nearby.

Friendly service - so helpful and warm. Room was largish size couldnt hear noise. Amazing location across the road from the beach. Beds so comfy, great shower pressure. Good size unit with fantastic ground floor outdoor area.

Last minute stop at Waves Orewa a very pleasant surprise. Great room (King Studio) very comfy bed - best large bathroom with plenty of vanity space - well equiped. Walking distance to a beautiful beach (300 metres) and the most pleasant and helpful Manager. Was our last stop on our holiday and perfect way to finish!! Highly recommend!

We were warmly welcomed by the new managers. Our room was on the ground floor and had a great view out to sea with spectacular sunrises. The apartment was very clean. The spa bath was amazing and the shower supplies were delightful. The managers were very professional and went the extra mile to make our stay very enjoyable and memorable. Definitely recommend for a relaxing break.

Everything was perfect, from very friendly staff, amazing views, comfy beds and the spa was great! They lend you paddle boards, spades, life jackets and everything you need to have fun at the beach (right across the property). Will defs return. Just great!

Great location, wonderful view from our balcony but a bit of a trek (very flat and scenic though) in to town. Spacious room and bathroom and well set up if you are self-catering. Staff friendly and helpful. Pretty good value especially the good wifi and use of the pool. Whitianga, Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach all great.

After searching online through many motels in Whitianga, we were very pleased with our choice. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was HUGE, comfortable and had an amazing view! The walk into town was easy and we went often completed it along the beach. Loved the eco touches e.g. large bottles of shampoo etc instead of the wasteful small ones. great pool for an evening swim. Will definitely return.

I didn't book my room on-line, but just showed up and asked if anything was available. The desk clerk, who had been watering the flowers and shrubs out front, was very nice and asked me if I minded if the spa wasn't working. I told here I didn't care, and she offered me a great price on the room with the broken jacuzzi tub (she assured me the shower was in good working order, which it was.) I asked to see the room first, which she was glad to do, and I booked it immediately. If this hadn't worked out I probably would have gone to the Holiday Inn a block south for over twice the price. As it was, I had a comfortable place to stay, close to the redwood forest tree walk (among other local attractions). What I really liked were all of the coffee and tea options provided in the room. And not just instant coffee - they provided a little french press and coffee grounds. Plus some cookies, several types of tea, and hot chocolate. There was a hot water pot, of course, along with a microwave, refrigerator, and toaster. It made my morning quite nice.

Quick to fill and powerful pump for bubbles High pressure super hot water. (Excellent shower pressure) Generous liquid soap and shower gel dispensers (that actually works!!) Simple clear instruction signs for wifi/ spa bath operation. Practical robust furnishings - not flashy but user-friendly The fridge is set to the perfect temperature Generous amount of tea/coffee/hot chocolate sachets Quality kettle and toaster Good quality net curtain and blackout drape that actually covered the full door/windows for privacy. Parking in front of unit. Clean and well arranged. AND BEST Of ALL - VALUE FOR MONEY

Great experience staying there with kids… the spa pool in the back was amazing and my kids jumped right in as soon as we got there. The staff was very friendly, polite and well spoken. The girl and at the reception was very sweet and welcoming especially with the kids. It is the perfect environment to bring the kids too. Would definitely come back and recommend. Even though the hotel is a little run down, it was very tidy and clean. We were able to get linen as required without any trouble.

We booked this motel a while ago, and recently they’d had some critical reviews, so we feared the worst. But we arrived and were promptly checked into our room. Ok it was a bit tired, but it was spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfy. We had a spa bath, but only used the shower so not sure if that worked or not. Lovely powerful shower with Lots of hot water. We stayed 3 nights and weren’t disturbed at all, it was so quiet. The man on reception was so kind, printing us directions to different places and generally helping us any way he could. We would def stay again

Very cosy room had an upstairs room. Parking was confusing but we got there in the end. Wifi excellent and very good amenities for the room. Bed very comfortable and clean room. Service very basic could've been more welcoming (sign here, here's your key and room is around the corner upstairs) otherwise a good stay for a couple nights. First impressions count I guess and it starts with the service.

We stayed here two nights and were welcomed by Manager Ryan. He was very helpful and super friendly. Showed us activities, followed up a booking we had to make sure we would get picked up, explained everything. Made us very welcome and offered to be of any assistance. I had a couple of issues to begin with: - recycled toiletries in bathroom (had been previously used) - housekeeping didn't service our room but marked it as being done. - rooms are a little crowded with dark furniture making it squishy - lots of wear and tear on fixtures - limited lighting quite dark - hot room - shower curtain - water everywhere after a shower. Anyhow .... We found a fan in cupboard next morning and based on feedback management has since made a note on checking in pamphlet that fans are in cupboard. Made a huge difference. Manager brought new towels in and apologised profusely for housekeeping not bothering to attend to room and replace towels etc. The hotel is undergoing renovations. It's clear Ryan and his wife genuinely care about the hotel and their guests. The bathrooms and hot pools are being fixed up and were very clean. Bed linen and bed very comfortable. The private hot pools are so relaxing in the evening and were the highlight. Across the road from shopping centre and a 10-15 minute walk to the lake and some awesome eateries. A great spot. This property is located so close to everything, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Very close to Polynesian Spa. Pretty quiet and relaxing place. We have private hot water spa in our room. Amazing! I wish the shower is a bit bigger, but everything else is great!

We stayed 5 nights in 2 bedroom apartment with balcony. Street is very quiet at night time. Apartment was very clean, tidy, serviced daily, very kind and helpful staff! Great location! Very close to heart of city! Shops that are just across the road. We will definitely recommend it to our friends!

You don't necessarily expect a person experience at a motor lodge, but that's what you get here from the moment you enter. Kasia instantly makes guests feel at home, providing milk for their tea/coffee and showing them how to operate the outdoor tub. The tub is fun as you step out of the bathroom window after filling it with warm water from the town's hot springs (or on a hot day, some cool water). The motel is a 10-15 minute walk from the I-site, spas, and lake, so you are away from the main hustle and bustle (especially at night). There was no air conditioning, but the room had windows and doors in three directions so it was easy to have a nice cross-breeze. Kasia and Shane have also set up a couple of places outside with shade and comfy chairs -- you want to be outside here and certainly don't feel closed in by your room. Would stay here again.

Great stay at the Victoria Lodge! The owner was so helpful and even sorted out our washing when we were a bit clueless! She was always available and did everything she could to make our stay better! Cheeky little hot tub in the back! Rooms.were great size and the bed was very comfortable! Very powerful shower too!

Motel was absolutely stunning! We checked in and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was perfect and it was clean. Cooking facilities were adequate and the utensils were clean. Every day after we left the room was cleaned - bed made, dishes cleaned and towels replaced. The overall experience was amazing and can not fault it. Definitely returning and referring family and friends there also.

We stayed in the room with the spa. It was cozy. Beds were very comfortable. Fresh towels each morning. The staff members were lovely and polite. Motel is only walking distance to the central mall and food stores which is convenient. Enjoyed our stay

From the moment we arrived we were in heaven. The in room hot tub was fabulous and extra hot. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. Our host could not do enough for us. Nothing at all was too much trouble - from making dinner reservations, to booking cabs, umbrellas at the ready as it rained, everything was perfect. The location is also great as it is about 10 min's walk to the city itself. There is a supermarket across that road for all your needs to fill the kitchen. There is a restaurant about 2 min's walk towards the city and a fab takeaway 3 min's walk the other way. Every room has it's own thermal pool and there is a laundry on site. We will be back most certainly...

We needed extra things like an early check-in and ironing board and the staff/owner was very friendly and helpful. Even offered an extra extra early check-in. The bed was clean and it was in a quiet location, the walls were thick and we did not hear other travelers.

Great value for money! Due to our budget, we were limited with our choices in places to stay but we are so glad we chose Kuirau Park. Upon check-in we were greeted by friendly staff who physically took us to our rooms to ensure they were good enough. To our surprise the rooms were very spacious and perfect for what we needed. A place to shower and sleep as we were only there for the weekend for a netball tournament. Absolutely fantastic and would happily stay again. Thank you!

My partner and I enjoyed our stay, we booked for 4 nights. We chose this room because of the private spa and how cheap it was. Eventhough there were a lot of bad reviews we settled for the spa and hoped for the best. The staff was very helpful, gave us a tour of the room first, explained everything and what Rotorua had to offer (activities) and made sure we felt comfortable. The spa was nice you fill it up like a bath tub and can adjust the temperature and if you want bubbles or not. The master bedroom is actually in the sitting room and the TV was closer to the back door, so not in reach for the wifi which sucked because we weren't able to use our chromecast. Plus the TV was on a really low table, higher table would have been nice to lie down to. Curtains were really dusty and dirty also shower had a little bit of mound on edges. Really tiny fridge so had to buy food daily and backyard could've been more better maintained with all the grass growing in different cracks of the concrete. All beds had electric blankets so that was a nice touch after being in the spa. 2min drive from everything, it was litterly in the middle of everything. You get your own private parking infront of the room and the area is very quiet. Out of 10 I'd give it an 8.5 we did very much enjoy our stay overall.

This was my third stay here. They have updated the furniture and bathroom since the last visit 2 years ago. It was clean and comfortable. There is a small patio out the back. The shower has a regular shower head and a rain shower head. I like that it is away from the main sulphur smelling area in Rotorua.

Let us check in early without us calling ahead and greeted by the lovely lady who owned the motel. Room was a decent size with attached bathroom, only let down was it had a fridge and kettle but no other kitchen implements (cutlery/cooker/glasses) except mugs. Shower was amazing (brand new complete bathroom) with included toiletries. Also very helpful with options of things to do & quick to offer discount codes if they were available (at least twice to us). Didn't see where the pool was but not why we booked there anyway so no loss to us (it was mid-winter after all).

We had originally booked online and when arriving at the venue, saw on the billboard you can have a private spa so we upgraded as we had planned on going to the polynesian pools, but the thought of the additional cost, closing time and not being able to have a wine in the spa detered us. We were pleasantly surprised with the privacy of the spa area. We uploaded our stay on snap chat and lots of firends ask where we were. One of our friends have booked for a romantic, private stay here. Staff was very friendly also.

Furthermore, my partner lost his token when the machine didn't let out water. He went on to tell the staff but they didn't reimburse him. Having said all that, the place is actually really nice and clean. Good facilities and well maintained.

Hi Auckland North shore Motel, we enjoyed our stay very quiet and cosy, helpful reception lady, friendly, close to various facilities, very clean toilet/shower areas.

We liked that this was reasonably priced accommodation near Devonport. Room layout was spacious, comfortable beds, good kitchen in room. No outside noise overnight. In then bathroom the shower drain was blocked, and the toilet cistern dripped noisily overnight. Also had to turn noisy fridge off overnight to sleep. When I let reception know about the shower drain they were very apologetic, bit wouldn't be able to fix until morning, after we checked out. Unfortunate circumstances, but annoying for us.

Stayed here during my friend's Engagement Party, the room I had with the Spa is incredibly awesome, having a Spa twice a day, everyday until it was time to go home! Having a nice big bed to myself was very comfortable! Wifi....unfortunately cost so much money, I ended up going to Burger King to purchase a Kid's meal just to use their WiFi. No air conditioning in the bathroom, need ventilation in the bathroom, as well as room need air conditioning. Had the fan going all day and night as it was too hot and stuffy. But otherwise a weekend away was worth it.

We loved the easy access to restaurants, shops, 4 square ++++ The apartment was very clean, spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the village. Loved the modern bathroom and the hot tub was clean and large. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend these apartments to couples and families.

An incredible location and room was clean and very comfortable. Everything we needed for 2 couples. Great to walk down the stairs to cafes, shops and takeaway places. Convenient car parking. Best place to stay in Waihi Beach if you want to be central and not have to get in your car to eat out.

Right in the middle of town. At night the town is quiet. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Private spa was fabulous used it every night. Views are spectacular.

After a very long hot day in the sun, we booked here last minute to save the drive home to Auckland from Tokoroa as we had more work in the Waikato. The room Tarif was very reasonable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice quiet motel set off the side road off SH1. Good size room with spacious parking in front of the unit. Families were enjoying the pool as it was a very hot day. The room had nice comfortable bed and pillows. Good size bathroom which did need a little paint but in all the room was clean. There was no air conditioning, only a fan which we had going all night. The staff warned us that the wifi which was free was intermittent but we found by choosing the connection with the strongest signal we had no problems.

Room was clean and with full kitchen amenities. Queen bed - excellent with firm and comfortable mattress. Wifi is free ...TV in room. Bathroom and shower clean but a little dated otherwise all worked well. Each unit has it's own parking space right outside of unit. We had a medical appointment which was just a 5-7 minute away and also walked to the town centre which was approx 15-20mins. Cambridge is a lovely town with friendly locals ...all the big retail brands are here with lots of cafe's and restaurants. Just love Cambridge.

The staff were very accommodating to our changes in our booking. The room we had was very clean and very comfortable. My kids loved the pool and this was also very clean. The location was central to the local shops. It was very quiet and the whole property was kept very clean. We would definitely stay here again when we need to. I would highly recommend staying here to all my friends and family needing somewhere to stay in Cambridge.

So clean even the bathroom was amazing! Great spacious room, a heater and extra blankets, the parking is right out front of the unit. The kitchenette is well stocked with utensils etc. I loved the mini coffee plunger, a nice touch. The pool looked great, not the season to use it but it was clean no leaves etc and a really good size.

We stayed at this motel for 2 nights over the xmas period. The managers/hosts are an absolutely lovely couple, who are friendly, courteous, informative, (the man there made us laugh over milk...) funny and most importantly a very professional mannerism. Hosts are great! The accomodation quarters are so comfortable, clean, spacious, awesome to stay here! We totally enjoyed our relaxing time here and would recommend to all. The bathroom is so spacious and clean. The bed oh my goodness its ultra comfortable with crisp clean sheets. I like my beds at accomodations to have that crispiness in the sheets then I know they are super clean and fresh. I/We loved it here and will come back again for sure!!! Thank you One88 Motel.

ONE88 On Commerce exceed all our expeditions. It started from our first contact when we phoned to make our reservation, Malcolm was very obliging to meet our special requests E.G. Being disabled our request was for a ground level 1 bedroom unit with walk-in shower with shower seat. Malcolm then asked if we wished a super king bed or two super king singles. Instant confirmation by e-mail was in our inbox before we even hung up the phone. At the time of checking in a welcome smile was appreciated. Malcolm then showed us to our unit and took time to show us how to work the TV and heat pump, WI-FI etc. The unit was spotlessly clean, spacious rooms and quiet with everything to make our stay perfect, even asking if we wished full milk or light milk. The bed, pillows and sheets would be one of the best we have slept in and that is comparing it with some of the world’s best accommodation. Bathrooms are an important part of our stay, fabulous shower, luxury towels, large selection of complimentary NZ toiletries. We received a warm welcome and were escorted to our room and all the facilities explained. The one bed apartment was very clean and well laid out. It had everything we needed for our stay. Walkable to a lot of trails and the river as well as the coast. Car parking on site was safe and convenient. There is some road noise but that is to be expected due to location and did not impact our stay. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance.

Nice, spacious room. Very clean and well kept. Loved having all the space in the room even just for two people. Comfortable bed! Amenities in room were of high quality and clean. Fast internet. Clean, clean clean. Space, space, space. Would highly recommend.

A comfortable, clean, modern, well-maintained, self-contained two-bedroom home in a pleasant, safe neighbourhood. Only a few doors away from (but not too close to) a small supermarket, two cafes (one of them excellent) and other amenities. Close to the city (but not really a walkable distance, particularly as the return would be a considerable uphill) but the area made up for that, and certainly only a very short drive if you have a vehicle

It's an awesome accommodation. I will make sure we stay here again. Very comfortable, a nice and quiet spot. Fresh choice a 2-minute walk and cafe bar and restaurants across the road. Netflix was added bonus. Thank you for an enjoyable stay, John and Marie.

The Sails in Nelson was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. The accomodation was spotless, warm, welcoming and very comfortable. The kitchenette had everything required and was extremely adequate for our requirements. The bed was extremely comfortable and cosy. Cherie the host was welcoming and very pleasant, our breakfast made by her was 10/10 which was delivered to our room at our desired time. The only issue we have with Nelson is that we have been issued a $85 parking fine at the Super Liquor store which has allocated parking spaces for customers, we went into the store to look for a specific single malt whiskey and spoke with the male staff assistant who had a Canadian/American accent, they did not stock the specific whiskey. We have appealed the parking infringement with Wilson parking but have been denied the appeal. We will never return to Nelson!

We stayed 2 nights at The Sails in a Studio suite and it was superb. The rooms were immaculate and modern. Very quiet. There was a full sized kitchen with a Nespresso machine, plunger coffee and a variety of teas. There was also a dishwasher ,stove and cooking utensils. The bed was very comfy. Shower pressure was fabulous. We had a balcony which captured all day sun. The manager, Cherie was very friendly and helpful. We had both the continental breakfast and pancakes which were delicious. Close 5-10 minute walk into town. Would highly recommend this accomodation and we look forward to staying again in the future.

Excellent location, amazing staff, very clean with lots of room and the most comfortable beds of any hotel we have stayed. We ordered breakfast every morning and found every option delicious. The pancakes with fried banana was amazing! Heather and Michael were gracious hosts and very helpful. Ample free parking and very easy access to major roadways. Lovely walk along the river very close by. Amazing view of the Nelson sunset. We highly recommend the Sails!

I read about this luxury motel on a blog (the author raved about it), and thank goodness I did! It was modern, new, spotless, ginormous (the shower stall was the size of most bathrooms!), well-appointed, comfortable (most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in), handy to zillions of restaurants and stores, and came with a parking spot right below the room (no trudging through a huge lot). Cherie at the front desk was friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend The Sails and stay here again without question.

An all day sunny room, very peaceful ( no outside noise), discreet helpful staff, convenient location to local walks n town, amazing shower, bed, pillows, tv. Home away from home, jacuzzi was amazing, extremely comfy bed and all the facilities you could need

Very comfortable, well-designed, modern cottages. The lovely host lives on site and went above and beyond when we had special requests. Enjoyed the view of Lake Rotorua in the distance and the hottub. The road to town passes by the cottage which makes it convenient and it is quiet at night when almost no one drives by and the golfers have gone off the course which abuts the property. Convenient, about 10 minutes to the Zorbing and other adrenaline activities. Great set up for small families or friends with the bedrooms on either end of the cottage with the common spaces in the middle.

Excellent host who goes out of the way to make you feel comfortable and very quick responses to any queries. The cottage itself is very comfortable, clean and met our expectations. You do need a car since the place is approx. 15 min outside Rotorua on a state highway. They also have a Jacuzzi/hot tub on the premises for guests. Location is very scenic and green all around. Wifi is strong. Kitchen is well stocked (with even milk). I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Rotorua.

We stayed for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. The kitchen is not only fully equipped but also sparkling clean – you’ll find everything you could possibly need, including coffee, cocoa, dish soap, salt, pepper, and more. As a special touch, we were welcomed with two glasses of delicious fresh milk waiting for us in the fridge. The whole accommodation is spotless and very comfortable, with plenty of towels and thoughtful details everywhere. It was pleasantly warm throughout our stay. The bathroom is a good size and not too small, and the whirlpool was a real highlight. The property also offers plenty of privacy and convenient parking. We truly felt that everything had been thought of to make our stay enjoyable. 🌟

Our second visit here within a few weeks...so a different room but just as comfortable and delightful as the previous one! The rooms are so cosy....beautiful decor and all our needs catered for...mini fridge with soft drinks, snacks etc, wonderful selection of tea and coffee..and gorgeous bathrooms. The beds are extremely comfortable, big flat screen tv that was easy to work and lovely lighting throughout the room. The location is excellent with a range of really good eateries/coffee shops just a few paces from the hotel door. The hotel staff are so friendly and go out of their way to be helpful...very impressive.

The location was absolutely perfect – right in the heart of the city with easy access to cafes, bars, and the waterfront. The suite was spacious, stylish, and super clean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely establishment. Spacious room that was clean with very comfortable beds. The kitchenette was very well equipped with everything I needed to make breakfast or a snack. Owner was very friendly and helpful. We did not expect our room to be serviced so it was a lovely surprise to come back after a long day to fresh towels - we could have reused our old towels. Our dishes we had washed up were put away and bins emptied. Would definitely recommend and stay again the next time we're in Dunedin.

The reception staff at check in was super friendly and welcoming and offered local recommendations. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Super comfortable bed. The area was quiet and safe with convenient parking on site.

Great one bedroom apartment, clean spacious and great range of TV channels including Netflix. On the downside the sofa was rather uncomfortable, no chairs for the balcony and the kitchenette had insufficient large pans to cook for two. Also there is a new building being built next door (so zero view from balcony), not their fault but at least mentioning it when they showed us to our room would have been helpful together with the 8am start time for the builders. (However outside those times the place was very quiet.)

This is one of the most friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff is extremely nice! We stayed in two connected rooms. Very good cooked breakfast delivered to the room. The rooms are big and the bathrooms are big. There is kitchen equipment available in the room. The beach is on the other side of the road (probably 50 meters walk). The restaurant is in the town, a few minutes nice walk. The internet WiFi connection is super fast with a good coverage. The hotel was well located for us as we wanted to visit Shakspear Park. It is just about one hour drive from Auckland. Have I told that the staff is extremely friendly, nice and just wonderful? After checkout we were offered towels to enjoy beach longer. We gave the towels back to the hotel in the afternoon long after checkout. Thank you, that helped us a lot.

Our friendly hosts greeted us and showed us our comfy and immaculate room. I felt very "spoiled" as lodge offers several choices for a yummy breakfast and coffee that is brought to your room each day. Or you can make a cup of tea and take it down to the lovely beach (which is right across the street). You can also walk into town (about 10 minutes) to some great restaurants.

It had every amenity down to the tiniest detail. Exceptionally well maintained and clean. Sandy and Glen were very welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect with views of the sea from the property. We would definitely recommend our friends and colleagues to stay there on their travels. We wished we could have stayed longer.

We were unpacking the car into a lovely studio room when, the lady from the front desk came over to offer us a free upgrade to the Presedential Suite which we gratefully accepted. Fantastic accommodation...spotlessly clean. Extremely comfortable beds with fresh, crisp linen and plenty of towels. Well equipped kitchen, full range of TV channels and a large bathroom with great shower over a spa bath. Great central location, easy to get to restaurants in town...even walkable if you don't want to drive. Totally recommend the Palazzo...you won't be sorry you booked here.

Perfect location, and what a lovely studio. Parked right outside the door. The rooms were clean, cosy and comfortable. Every possible essential, well equipped kitchen, huge bathroom with corner spa bath.p and beautiful toiletries. Scrupulously clean and oh the luxury of warm towels! Comfy bed, had a great sleep. The rooms were beautiful. As soon as we walked in it felt like home. Very clean and cozy. The beds were really comfy. Loved the balcony. Would love to go back in the winter the view would be spectatular. Parking was easy. Added bonus of the use of washing machine and dryer for no extra charge. Owners were really friendly and helpful. Location was really close to shops/cafes etc.

I can’t say enough good things about Radfords and also the manager, Kerri. She is extremely helpful and welcoming! By my own mistake, I booked a “1 bedroom with access”, which in NZ means handicapped. Yikes. Our bathroom “shower” had a curtain in the corner, and a drain close to the middle of the floor. It could not keep up with the shower flow. Our 1st morning here, our bathroom floor was soaked and a mess. As soon as I asked Kerri for a different room she obliged willingly, and even helped us move our belongings while we were out on a tour. We happened to be at the front desk on Halloween afternoon, and she was truly lovely greeting the little trick-or-treaters! As far as the room, it was thoughtfully equipped with just about everything we would need for our stay in Te Anau. We were able to make breakfasts and coffee in our kitchenette, and took advantage of the washer and dryer onsite. The location is absolutely perfect, on the lake and a short walk into the center of town for restaurants and shopping. Our Milford Sound cruise tour bus even picked us up in front of the hotel! Just a lovely place to stay while exploring Te Anau and the Fiordland National Park. Highly recommend Radfords!

My husband and I have just spent 3 nights at Radfords on the Lake. We stayed in Room 12 and it was so beautiful! It is right across from the lake and the views are mesmerising! Our room was so tastefully furnished and there is everything you could think of included in the room. The room was very spacious with a separate bedroom. The bed and pillows are so soft and comfortable it was like sleeping in a cloud! The room was impeccable in its appearance and was so spotlessly clean it was evident that a lot of care and pride goes into each room. The kitchenette was very well equipped with a microwave, dishwasher and stove top. Kerri the owner is so lovely! She is extremely friendly and helpful. She gave us recommendations for restaurants, cafes, places to see and we went to everywhere that she recommended! We absolutely loved Te Anau and we loved Radfords on the Lake! If I could give Radfords on the Lake 10 stars I would! We loved every minute of our stay and we will definitely be back! Terry & Caroline

What great people. Te Anau might be suffering from Covid19 but it has not stopped the amazing hospitality. We were given great advice on where to eat, which tours and how to get the best out of our stay. The 1 bedroom apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable and the view was great. It's small but has a fun patio and amazing food and drinks. Go early as it gets insanely busy. The hotel itself is sweet, modern, sophisticated lobby and nice heart-shaped sweets in our room. Enjoyed the updated shower with rainfall showerhead. On the downside, the facility doesn't have an elevator so you're hauling your luggage up steps if you're on the second floor. The TV kept freezing up, but those things are relatively minor.

Quantum Motor Inn is like a home away from home. Comfort, style, warmth and just the overall feel of this place really did make us feel at home! Modern, clean, comfy and and an absolute gem that we will definitely be coming back too each time we are in Hamilton. The shower pressure is just next level amazing and could stay in there for hours if I had the time. The bathroom is equipped with shampoo and conditioner as well as bodywash and even little care package with cotton buds etc. Coffee station was fully equipped with biscuits of 2 types and a little bottle of anchor milk. The bed is super comfy and even more perfect with the air con in the bedroom. The ability to completely black out the room for absolute darkness was epic as well. Overall I think this place is a 10/10 way better then hotels!!

It was very quiet and cosy, close to restaurants and shopping, easy access. The shower was amazing as was the bed and pillow selection. Very good heating and a comfy couch for a traveller. The housekeeping was exceptional. Plenty of PowerPoints and great internet wifi. I really enjoyed my stay at the Quantum.

I last stayed here about ten years ago and was pleased to see the facilities have been maintained and upgraded appropriately. Check in was so simple, friendly and professional, and most importantly welcoming. The spacious and warm rooms were spotless and the spa was at the right temperature to be able to hop right in.

We were staying for a wedding, and it was nice to have everything in one place. There were some minor issues with fire alarm being tripped and couldn't get the tap to switch from show to tap but could still use the jacuzzi.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable with truly amazing views over the river. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed the excellent breakfast with great coffee at the Quail's Nest Restaurant. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

Excellent location and view, I highly recommend this place. I had made a last-minute booking for a garden view room as only that was available, and while booking in the comments section I had requested a river view if available. To my surprise when I arrived I received a river-view room which made us very happy. The room was very neat and tidy, the kitchenette was stocked and a clean bathroom. The view from the room is very beautiful and the location is a short drive from the city.

The hotel was really nice with a friendly staff and amazing view. All the tiwels, tea, coffee and bath soup and solt were renewed every day. It was very clean, friendly and quiet. The hotel is very close to the city (if you use a car). The food in a restaurant was very tasty and good organised.

The views are unbeatable, rolling hills, lush native forest and the river. We hardly saw or heard anybody else during our stay. The hotel is a quick 5 minute drive into the city which was easy as and we had a view of the mountain every time we came of left the property which was fantastic. Would recommend to families or anybody travelling through looking for a quiet, serene place to relax and unwind.

The kitchenette was well stocked with all the basics required, but with only staying one night we did not use everything available. The outlook was lovely, being on the ground floor we looked out into a well kept garden and could see the mountains in the background. The room was very clean and the shower was great, good pressure and lovely hot water. Bed was very comfortable. The location was excellent - walking distance to shops, supermarket, restaurants, bars and the thermal pools! Check in was fast and efficient and very helpful for restaurant and "things to do" recommendations.

Fabulous accommodation, central, quiet, comfortable bed, excellent customer service, friendly, room warm on arrival, gas and heat pump options for warmth, underfloor heating with tiles, lovely mountain view, well resourced in kitchen and bathroom, very clean, deserving of 5 stars, happy to recommend. No movie channels but extensive dvd collection.

We loved the spacious room with a balcony, that had a lovely view. It was in a quiet location but walking distance to restaurants and the hot springs. A nice touch was the beach towels and bag especially for the hot springs too.

The facilities were amazing and everything we need for a perfect and enjoyable stay!! The front desk manager was amazing and very welcoming, staff were amazing and were quick and prompt with freshening up our room

Central to a good number of places to get good food (2025) by walking. Authentic Japanese, Chinese and Korean restaurants as well as an Irish bar plus 2 other Taverns. Found a Mexican restaurant that was like a subway, where you could make up your own Taco, Burrito etc. that was delicious! Down near the corner (towards Hagley Park) we found a 24 Night/Day store, like a corner diary with everything from pies and fried chicken to sweet cake slices and Thick shakes - an everything store. All of this, just a short walk in both directions. Also being located central in the city, it's a good place to stay to cover all bases for shopping. Hostess was very pleasant and helpful. Were given a decent amount of milk for the room. I was very happy about this. The room had a mini bar and basket, so if you don't want to go out there is the option to purchase in house beverages and snacks and the prices are reasonable (great if you want to stay in!). Had the Spa bath room and enjoyed a much needed long hot soak. I put all the hot water in! But after a 2 hour soak there was hot water again, no worries for a morning shower as well. (Or you could do it the other way around ;) )

Spacious comfortable rooms. We had plenty of space to open two big suitcases and there was also a small kitchen annexe with microwave, fridge, minibar, and the table with two chairs. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and bars around even though it's not the city centre strictly speaking. The rooms are super clean, modern, comfortable, so is the bathroom. The room was warm and there was enough space to park a car outside off the street - this was great compared to any hotels and lodges closer to the city centre which have limited parking. The walk to the centre takes approximately 30 mins, there are also buses outside. The proximity of the park is also a plus - you can have a nice walk along the river to the Botanic Gardens and the city centre.

Nicely refurbished room, with delightful Private balcony, 2nd floor, #12. Large spa bath, though sadly no time to enjoy it!! Excellent linen & towels; bed very very comfortable. Extremely clean, neat & tidy. Kitchenette, yea, coffee, minibar, but no cooking facilities. Eateries a plenty within walking distance. Great communication prior & during. Very helpful. Good location between city & airport. Quiet, set back from the road. Off street parking available, Highly recommend.

First impressions were that this motel was old style on a busy road but don't let that put you off. We had the two bedroom, one bathroom spa unit number 3. On entering we noticed that the heaters had been put on for us and that it felt very welcoming. Nothing in the unit was old and dingy. Bedrooms were spacious, beds comfortable, electric blankets, good sized bathroom with modern equipment. Liked the thought that went into the decor throughout the apartment, from choice of wall colour to decent furniture. The kitchenette was well equipped and supply of tea, coffee etc was not mingy. Reception was smiling and communication was excellent. There are a number of restaurants in close walking distance. Access and parking very good. easy access to the airport - 10 minutes by car. This is one of the best apartments of this type [city] I have stayed in.

Possibly the cleanest motel I’ve ever stayed in, located a few minutes drive back from the lakefront making it a quiet while still very central location. Well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay including kitchenette , A/C, electric blankets and comfortable beds. Staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating. Great choice for short winter break . There is no view or outlook but as I was there specifically for an event it was perfect for my needs .

Kimi Ora is excellent, lots of activities to do and we love the glow worm walk. We walk there at 10pm and it was perfectly safe and fun. Walking distance to kaiteriteri beach. Their jacuzzi is nice and pool, an accommodation to be back again in the next holiday.

Such a peaceful play to stay. We really enjoyed the barefoot and glow work walks. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The rooms were tidy and comfortable and the balcony was gorgeous with a great view, tables and chairs and reclining sun chairs. We had a delicious breakfast in the restaurant and a luxurious spa bath in our room. We also had a facial and massage at the day spa. Very professional service and thoroughly relaxing. We will definitely stay again.

Great location to all the attractions in town. Only about a 1-2 min drive to the Thermal Pools. Beautiful and clean Suite. Very comfortable bed. Great little kitchenette with stove, microwave, kettle etc. Very quiet at night while we were there. Loved having the covered verandah when it started raining. We had very very hard winds blowing a couple of night so we had a bit of creaking from the timber frame but didn’t keep us awake. Perfect size suite for what we were wanting.

This is a great motel on the western edge of the interesting little town of Stratford which does all the things it can to link it to Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon. The motel is right next door to the Countdown supermarket and the kitchenette is well equipped and ideal for self catering. We were upgraded from a one to two bedroom apartment which meant a separate room for the cases but in fairness, all the apartments are a good size. As well as the kitchenette, there's a dining table and chairs and a good sized comfortable seating area. We were also kindly moved from Room 4 to Room 10 to be further away from the road and when we wanted an extra night, again the staff were prepared to do the extra jiggling in order that we could stay in the same room. We even got to see Taranaki from the garden - it's only the one premium room that would have the view of it but the gardens at the back are peaceful. Spa bath was excellent as was the shower. Good toiletries and clean and looked after.

We hoped for a good room but got an outstanding one! Spotlessly clean, modern and very well equipped. We had the Mountain View Studio which offered wonderful views of Taranaki from the bed, from the patio, from the 40 degree hot tub. We self catered and it was incredibly convenient to have a supermarket a 2 minute walk down the road. The bed was comfortable and there were 2 arm chairs with footrests. The room was very private and positioned at the far end of the motel. Housekeeping staff were very attentive with daily cleans and fresh towels on offer.

Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Very clean and very well maintained Facilities. Large room and bathroom. Well stocked and equipped kitchenette. Comfortable beds. Heatpump for more chilly days. Within walking distance with the local Woolworth. Bonus: Good view of Mount Taraniki from the back lawn. Highly recommended.

The property was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and bathroom had plenty of toiletries and towels. It was a bit noisey at night and early in the morning being so close to main highway (room 1). Rooms further along would notice this less. Dissapointment for our party was the lack of a breakfast restaurant which the information showed was there. There were photos of it. But it didnt exist. Staff apologised that some 'library photos' had been included in error. Other than that a good stay and I would stay again if in Stratford. Dont go and eat at Malones though, the rowdy locals there ruined our evening out.

Where a business owner really cared about making sure their customers received quality service and a quality product and really wanted only the best for their customers? Pretty old fashioned, eh? Sounds like a time long past . . . But that's exactly what we experienced at the Sherborne Motor Lodge. Rick and Ricki are amazing! The most attentive, helpful, friendly and caring accommodation owners we have experienced in years. And of course, the room was also spotless, comfortable, well appointed and excellent value. We stranded in New Zealand during the lockdown and had to face quote a few difficulties because of the situation. We arrive after midnight that night and had great cimmunications with the owners. We booked originally a different Motel (same owners) and were upgraded with no extra costs to this great Motel which is equipped with everything you need, clean and modern. During the 2 weeks we stayed there Ricky was amazing, totally on top of the pandemic, looking after us like a family and even got us onto some repatriation flights back home. They made our stay in such uncertain tims enjoyable and relaxed. The location is an easy walking distance to the city and we were able to walk in the not too far park and on the river. Unfortunately we couldn't travel so I am not sure but believe there are a lot of recreational points just a short drive away with the car. If you need to stay in Christchurch (it's also located only 20min from the airport) this Motel will welcome you with a warm heart.

The proprietor, Rick, greeted us on arrival with a very friendly and super helpful personality. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with a little balcony. Highly recommend.

Absolutely highly recommend this motel! Friendly and welcoming reception, easy check in and a park right outside our door. Our doors and windows were open and we could smell the lovely clean smell before we got to the door. The room was spotless! Nice and modern, gorgeous bathroom with the BEST shower, even had a spa bath which we didn't get to use. It's important to note too that the body wash, body lotion, Shampoo and conditioner was so beautiful! Did not make my hair feel grippy and yuck. The bed was OMG sooooo comfortable, and the pillows too! The kitchen has everything one should need and the coffee was actually nice tasting coffee. It was also nice to be given a small carton of small milk instead of 6 of those annoying little pottles that you need 4 of for one cup. We were in room 7 so not roadside, but it was nice and quiet. We had the best sleep. Overall, I'd give this motel a definite 10/10 and will definitely book here again.

I was very, very, late getting into Hamilton, after preparation for the conference I was attending did not go as planned. I finally got to the motel at 10:45pm. But I had called ahead, and as promised, the room was unlocked, milk was in the fridge, and it was all ready. I unpacked the car and fell into a very comfortable bed. It had a spa bath, with plentiful hot water, just what I needed after a sixteen-hour day. There are shops nearby for the things I forget (I now have six hair-brushes) and a McDonalds around the corner when I was too tired to cook. If I HAD wanted to cook, I could have made a two-course dinner for four with the utensils provided - everything has been thought of. So... comfortable bed, powerful hot shower, spa bath, kitchenette with all the requirements, plenty of power points to charge laptop, mobile etcetera... didn't check out the TV as I prefer to read, but everything was very clean, in good shape, and best of all, it's very quiet. The other conference attendees thought I would stay in Te Rapa, closer to the venue, but I am so glad I declined and stayed at this lovely quiet place with no traffic noise instead. The hosts are kind and friendly, and I will definitely stay here again when I next need to go to Hamilton.

We were heading to Hamilton to attend University of Waikato parkrun out east so went looking for accommodation close by and found Albert Court Motor Lodge with spare rooms the weekend we were in town. There was a slight glitch before the weekend even got started when I mistakenly cancelled our booking only to have to phone back not long after to rebook our booking. The team were great about it and managed to get us back in again and in remarkably quick time. Thank you. We arrived Friday night around dinner time and check in was remarkably easy and straight forward. We asked about getting dinner nearby and was given great advice on restaurants and takeaways nearby (see our review for The Cook just up the road - WELL worth the walk there and back). Hamilton East shopping centre has lots of eating places making Albert Court a handy place to stay. Our room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed and nothing that we didn't need. We're not sure if we had neighbours and if we did, either they were very quiet or the rooms were very soundproof. We were in and out all day Saturday and never once could not find a park in the parking area. The team running Albert Court were very friendly and helpful. The team cleaning Albert Court were very friendly too. We're still to do Hamilton Lake parkrun so we'll definitely be back again.

It is a very clean and tidy motel with friendly staff. It had everything we needed during our stay including free wifi. Plenty of tea and coffee too. The spa bath was a bonus but there was a separate shower as well. The bed was comfortable and sheets and towels were clean and fresh. Easy to find the place and parking off road.

The apartment was very clean, spacious and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was excellent with a very decent shower. We really enjoyed chilling out on the 2 sofas in the lounge room. We made use of the excellent laundry facilities which include an LG front loader (I prefer this to the usual commercial top loading washing machines at motels) and an LG dryer. Parking was great and the motel is well located, being a short walk to the CBD and close to cafes and restaurants. We managed to avoid using the car on the second last day when we explored Christchurch. The hosts were friendly and helpful as always. We enjoyed our stay here and it is one of our favourite motels in South Island and we stayed at 9 motels in all during our 15 day trip.

This unit was comfortable, quiet, clean and roomy. The bed was comfortable. The little kitchenette in the unit met our needs of being self-sufficient. Off street parking. Lots of shops, attractions and restaurants within walking distance. The host was so friendly and helpful. He made recommendations of which walking route to take to encompass all the local attractions we wanted to see.

Our apartment was very clean, quiet and spacious, with a comfortable bed. The kitchenette is well equipped and the lounge room has 2 decent sized sofas. Parking was excellent. The motel is conveniently located near cafes and restaurants, and is a short 15 min walk away from Christchurch CBD. The hosts were friendly, helpful and informative and we really appreciated the arrangements made for us to access our room at midnight after a late flight!

TV with 50 channels, including several SKY sports. Small kitchenette with sink, kettle, fridge microwave (glass dish to heat food), toaster and electric frying pan - ideal for simple meals. Walking distance to Christchurch centre and the botanic gardens. On-site parking. Laundry available -$2.50 per wash or dryer - washing line available. Supermarket and restaurants within walking distance. We got the #29 bus from the airport to a stop a short walk away on Victoria Street - only $2. The property is on a busy road, but it didn't disturb our sleep. Very good value.

I travel all over Central North Island and this is one of my favourite places to stay. It’s clean, comfortable and has all of the amenities that I need (kitchenette, good shower, good bed, good wifi). It’s been a while since I was last in Gisborne, and when I stepped into the room the feeling of relief and content was palatable. I’ve stayed in some disappointing places over the last couple of months and love this place just for that feeling.

Everything was excellent: immaculately clean and spacious, tastefully decorated, very comfy bed, amazing spa bath, very friendly receptionist, plenty of parking, great location, laundry room with complimentary laundry powder. Everything was perfect. Would definitely stay there again if we get the chance. Highly recommended.

This is my 3rd stay at White Heron. That says a lot. It is always so peaceful and quiet. The beds are so comfortable, and the spa is amazing. The staff are always on hand to help but give you privacy throughout your stay. Clean and tidy. Air con for the colder nights. Great location in Nelson for getting around even without a car. Sister to Tides across the street which has a great restaurant, and downtown and a grocery store less than 5 minute walk( highly recommend Sweet As Cafe and Harry Hawker for sake and sashimi! Reception was friendly and helpful, room was very comfortable and spa tub was excellent! Nice balcony-we were at the front, no great views due to location but comfortable to sit out on. A lot of great garden, nature and river walks close by, and you can walk over to the waterfront. Couldn’t get the TV to screen mirror, but tbf we did not inquire as it wasn’t a big priority for us. Well worth it, hope to be back!

The breakfast was really good. And the owners were very helpful with my GF diet for breakfast. Owners are friendly, helpful, it was a lovely place to stay, met all our needs. Quiet with soundproofing which we appreciated. All staff friendly and helpful. Would choose to stay there again. Spa bath was great.

Quiet and very clean rooms. In fact the room was spotless. Comfortable beds. Reception was very welcoming and friendly and very helpful. Even the cleaning staff were super friendly. Its about 9 minutes walk to the hospital. I definitely recommend this place.

Everything. The rooms are spotless clean and well appointed. The colour scheme is fresh and inviting. Everything works as it should and is well maintained. The hosts Maree and Grant are fantastic. They make you feel at home and will do their utmost to make your stay your best experience. On our first night we required an extra bed without notice and Grant had a bed fresh linen and directions on how to correctly make the bed after my daughter volunteered to make it herself. This is an example of going the extra mile and there was no sign of annoyance for the inconvenience. The next day we realised we had left a ticket at home which needed to be printed. Grant just said send me an email and it’ll be ready next time you come down- just awesome ! They also have a very efficient team of cleaners that are very friendly and seem to enjoy their team environment. Once again the facilities are spotless. My 10 year old daughter said Dad I didn’t see 1 bug in any of the rooms! I’ll definitely be returning in the future once again, Thanks Maree and Grant.

Incredibly helpful, friendly staff who went out of their way to look after me and a friend that I had checked in. They even made sure we had the phone number for the local taxi and moved my friend to a more accessible room at no charge. My bed was super comfortable and my room looked out onto the lovely garden, set back from the road. Room was lovely and clean, with toiletries and nice tea and coffee options as well. Shower had good pressure too. I highly recommend Taylors and look forward to staying there whenever I'm in Ashburton.

This property was easy to find, just off the main highway but far enough to be quiet & relaxing. The room was quite spacious and the beds were comfy. The lady who checked us in was lovely & very helpful, recommended a place to dine etc. Our room had a lovely view of well kept gardens.

The location was fantastic and convenient to town city center as well as being close to the riccarton mall. The motels were spacious comfortable and very clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely return to these premises 🙂

The location was very good, close enough by car to the central city but also good shopping and cafes close by. The shower was excellent, the bed was comfortable and (in a 2 bedroom unit at the rear if the property) it was quiet. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was very well presented, really clean, comfortable and warm (heat pump) and had everything I needed. The small kitchen was well equipped and there was a good selection of tea and hot drink options. The room was quiet and had a little, private outside seating area. There is off street parking. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful. I was arriving late and he kindly left my key in a lockbox and texted me pick up instructions. He also turned on the lights and heating in my room (it was a cold night) prior to my arrival, so my room was lovely and warm when I arrived. I would stay here again.

We loved this motel! The unit was lovely - fresh, colourful, well-laid out and well-equipped. The beds were comfy and the spa bath was amazing! Everything was easy, from booking to departure. The owners were very kind and helpful, and looked after our bags so we could have brunch after checkout before heading to the airport. Most importantly, we were able to watch the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals live! Great coverage - thank you. We strongly recommend this motel.

We stayed 1 night and it was amazing! The location was perfect, nice and quiet but still close to everywhere. The room was clean and comfortable. The beach front with the hotsprings was so nice in the morning. The hot pool and jacuzzi was our favourite.

Lovely hotel, clean, comfortable with a nice jacuzzi bath. Our room over looked the lake and, as the weather wasn't great during our stay, we could sit and watch the world go by from the balcony... so relaxing.

This was one of our favorite stops. We loved our room looking out over the lake and appreciated the jacuzzi tub after doing the Tongariro Crossing hike. The room was clean and was a short drive to shopping and restaurants.

Everything is amazing, warm-welcome and helpful staff at the reception, spacious and super comfy room with wonderful lake view directly from the bed, balcony also great. Fully well facilitated in the kitchen and the bathroom. The outdoor thermal pool is very enjoyable. Just few walks to the public lake terrace and reach the waterfront. I had an extreme relaxing stay!

It was the perfect wee getaway! Great communication by staff, spotless in presentation, cozy environment and the most comfortable bed to sleep on 🙌 location was perfect, close to everything we needed we even dined in at a wonderful Indian restaurant maybe a 10 min walk from the location after it being a suggested restaurant in the room information booklet. We would 100% recommend staying here and will most definitely be back. Thank you!

We throughly enjoyed our 2 nights here. Room was spacious, clean and warm. Comfortable beds for a great nights sleep as well as clean and tidy kitchen and bathroom facilities. All 4 of us had relaxing and memorable stay. Staff were kind and friendly and the location was prime. Would love to stay there again!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the most beautiful host and service. The level of service was, seemless and impeccable, creating a warm, kind professional atmosphere. The culinary experience at The County Hotel was also a highlight. The in-house restaurant and bar offers a diverse menu that caters to all palates and presentated with artistic flair. The newly renovated Hotel bar struck the perfect balance between ambiance, elegance and coziness. The bar menu also boasting a selection of fine wines, beers, spirits and cocktails making it an ideal spot for both casual evenings and special occasions. It's clear the owner (Angela) of The County Hotel takes pride in her hotel. Her presence adds a personal touch that's rare in Aotearoa Hotels. The County Hotel is more than just a place to stay; it's an experience in itself. With its unparalleled hospitality from Angela, attentive staff, exquisite dining, great cuisine/menu from head chef (Richard), most gorgeous room and attention to detail in every aspect, it truly stands out for us as one of our beautiful accommodations. Whether for business or leisure, it's an establishment that we highly recommend and eagerly return to in Napier.

I booked 3 night luxury bliss escape for my husbands birthday and it totally exceeded our expectations. From the moment you arrive Angela goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is the best, we even received an upgrade to a suite. The rooms are furnished in a style to match the heritage of the hotel but have every mod con you need. The bed was extremely comfortable and the rooms had gas heating and air conditioning in the bedroom. When she had to postpone dinner on my husbands birthday to the next night as the chef was sick she reimbursed as handsomely for the inconvenience, we did tell her it wasn't necessary but she insisted. The dinner we had at the restaurant was absolutely delicious and the bar & restaurant have a really nice cozy feel. Angela is an asset to this hotel and made our stay everything we could have asked for.

This is an iconic building dating back to 1909 and being one of the few original art deco buildings still in its original form. Inside this boutique chic hotel and the olde worlde charm is evident in the decor, paintings and woodwork. The welcome from Angela and her team is extremely warm and friendly. The bedroom was spacious, the bed firm and luxurious. The ensuite was clean, functional and well presented. Upstairs is a small library where one can relax and read in peace and quiet. Nice touch. Angela has spent considerable time ensuring that even the small things have been attended to, such as taps, door handles, etc. Luvved it. Extremely comfortable and THE perfect base to wander and peruse the shops, bars and cafes all within easy walking distance. We will only stay here in our future visits.

Loved this hotel! ALL staff from reception to cleaners were super friendly, polite and welcoming. We would’ve liked information about the history of this fascinating place and how it survived the earthquake. If you like modern, bland, anonymous hotels this isn’t for you because it is bursting with history and character! Spotlessly clean, great shower, comfy bed and blissful bedding. Free port to drink in the library, free fruit at reception! Oh and it’s in a quiet street but a perfect location near the seafront and all the Art Deco streets!
