My new fave SF Hotel; The area is clean and not congested -with walking paths and benches at the port area it feels like SF used to. Quiet, spotless, big room with lots of nice touches and clean modern everything ; flooring, hypo allergenic (comfy) bedding, keurig coffee and tea, ( cream not powder!) glass carafe and glasses for water or wine, clothes steamer, remote control full length shade even for the bathroom window (faces into room for natural light). There’s a Coffee bar adjacent to lobby, rooftop bar and the proximity to Oracle and Chase Center might appeal to some but I loved just walking and enjoying the view from the comfy chair and ottoman by the wall size window. Important to know if you have to bring your car valet it’s expensive (90$ a day) tho you can come and go as needed unlike garage up the street. Staff was attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel .

It’s far away the best hotel in SF! Amazing service by a professional and friendly Team The check in by Janet was wonderful👏👏👏 It was not our first time here, we absolutely love the room, the view, the products in the shower, the slippers, the bathrobes, the coffee machine. Thank you to the housekeeping for the fantastic job! Our room was super clean! We love the little robots, they are 3 little robots on wheels .. they deliver your coffee and pastries on morning from the coffee shop inside the hotel downstairs and any items from the Boutique. We love one called Henry! The gym on the 3rd floor is extremely well equipped! Also they have a fantastic bar, restaurant, terrace on the rooftop! What a place! A GEM👍🏽❤️

Brad and check out was amazing as in helpful and friendly. Our check-in young lady was the same. The valet was helpful as my truck is larger and I couldn’t get out and they moved the car next to me back to I couldn’t get out! $90 valet parking for the night was not bad! Especially when you compare it to garage parking 80-150$ around the stadium. The room was amazing! So comfortable with the right amenities. Robes, slippers, coffee maker with real coffee mate creamer. Automatic blue light activated at night so you don’t have to turn on the bright light. Room was pretty dark, thought it was 6 am when it was 8:30! Wine bar, small “grocery” and awesome rooftop bar Cavana! Don’t think about it- BOOK IT!

My Sister and I stayed at the LUMA Hotel as a sister's trip for the My Chemical Romance concert. Knowing my car would be secure overnight was a huge reason for this decision, as well as the walking distance to the venue. The front desk staff were amazing, great conversation and plenty of tips and trips for the tourists like ourselves coming into the hotel. The room itself was amazing, clean, a perfect size, and a great spot to reset from the few hours drive and serve as a landing pad for after the concert. The little cafe was great and yes, we absolutely ordered door dash for dinner because the idea of a robot bringing our food was something we absolutely could not pass up on. The hotel staff was incredibly in tune with their customers as well - there was a wave of concert goers that was staying here and after the concert they had staff on hand at the elevators to keep things moving, and once a crowd of us started gathering at the base of the elevators they opened up the staff elevators for use as well so we weren't waiting horribly long - it was a great display of situational awareness and effective troubleshooting. Overall our stay was made amazing largely in part to the staff and it was nice having all the main big ticket items - Valet, a clean place to reset, and amazing central location - all taken care of so we could truly enjoy the concert and our visit.

The hotel: I stayed here recently for work and LUMA was wonderful. Check-in was a breeze. Someone was always available at the front desk if I needed anything. The room was very clean and featured modern decor. I really appreciated the non-carpeted floors which make each room easier to clean! It took me a good minute to realize LUMA has in-room steamers instead of irons hah. Once I found it, it was very easy to use. I was given a reusable water bottle at check-in which was very handy throughout my stay. I absolutely loved all the bath products (they smelled delightful). The wifi was very steady during my visit. It was very cute to see the little delivery robots moving about the hotel. The rooftop: I highly recommend checking out the rooftop bar! The views were spectacular. The cocktails were very good and the music selection was awesome. My only advice - bring a sweater or jacket with you at night. The temps do dip and the winds can pick up. The area: Walking distance to Oracle park. There'a nice walking path/jogging route nearby as well. There are plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel is a ~20 minute drive from San Francisco airport (SFO). Taxis/rideshares were easy to get. In general I felt very safe walking around here. Summary: + Clean + Great area

Indoor pool. jacuzzi, Toto Toilet It was all amazing. The Pied Piper Bar was fun and the Hamburger was the BEST!

We had a wonderful time at the Palace Hotel for our spring break trip. I went for 4 nights with my tween daughter. The hotel is beautiful with a gorgeous atrium ceiling in the main dining area which is great for the buffet breakfast. There is a very nice restaurant/bar on site as well. The only issues we had during our stay was getting & keepning a tea pot to boil water for tea in our room and the jacuzzi was not properly cleaned, very foamy, and we got itchy after using. The front desk said she didn't know the cleaning schedule. In any case, the hotel is in a great location, walkable, the beds are comfy as well as the pillows, and the bathroom is nice and has modern toto cleaning toilets. I would recommend staying here!

I must say I didn't have huge expectations, thinking the hotel might be a little tired, while clearly very grand as can be seen from the photos. But the photos can often hide many faults. On the contrary, the hotel felt like it had been freshly decorated, with a very fresh feel to the hotel corridors, and our room and bathroom. They clearly spend money on upkeep, which can't be said for other 'luxury' Marriott group resorts we have stayed in this year. The bathroom products were the best of our California trip, so no wonder they have a sign up to discourage people stealing them. The food and drinks we had in the Pied Piper were equally excellent, and again some of the tastiest of the trip. It's definitely a clubby masculine after work vive in there, but our 10 year old really enjoyed eating in there. It felt equally luxurious and maintained. The main breakfast room is, as you will have seen from the pictures, very grand and historic. But again it maintained high standards and felt modern and fresh. The buffet was very good too. All in all I would not hesitate to stay here again, though sadly SF itself does not entice visitors these days, as is well documented. Perhaps that is why this hotel offered such good value.

They helped with our luggage, gave us spot-on food recommendations, and truly went above and beyond in every interaction. Honestly, the staff are the BEST! The hotel itself is a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. Our suite was spotless, luxurious, and felt like a retreat in the middle of the city. Every detail, from the décor to the cleanliness, was first-class. Dining here is also an experience of its own—delicious, beautifully presented, and with great variety. And the location couldn’t be better: right in the center of everything—restaurants, shopping, and all the main attractions. As a bonus, if you’re into a little extra thrill, this hotel comes with a fun “Ghostbuster” vibe—you might just get an unexpected experience or two. 😉 All in all, this is easily one of the best hotel stays we’ve had. If you’re heading to San Francisco and want luxury, elegance, and staff who make you feel at home, this is the place to stay!

We had a wonderful birthday lunch at the gorgeous Garden Court restaurant. Such a breathtaking environment, with delicious food and excellent service. Our fabulous waiter, Sam, was attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. He took lots of nice pictures of our group. I had the yummy Green Goddess crab salad, beautiful and delicious! Others in our group enjoyed the same salad, as well as the lobster bisque, Wagyu burger and corvina fish. Afterward the staff brought out an amazing dessert with a birthday candle, very sweet. They also have cool photos and exhibits in the mini museum. A great place for a fun celebration.

We’ve stayed here many times over the years, including in its former incarnations as The Argent Hotel, the Westin San Francisco Market Street and the Park Central Hotel San Francisco, because of the location on Market Street, a few blocks from the Montgomery Steet BART station and rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows. This time we chose a king corner room, which had two windows that with same view (not different views as in corner rooms at most hotels). Disappointingly, despite the room being on a high floor, the view was of another hotel. Our booking indicated the view would be of the SF/OAK Bay Bridge Salesforce Tower. (Since our last stay, a large residential tower has been built next to the hotel that blocks what had been nice views from odd-numbered rooms over Yerba Buena Gardens.) The best features of the room, besides the large windows, are a mostly bare floor, good water pressure and an empty fridge. The bed is relatively low and soft. The bathroom is on the small side and a cut out in the glass shower wall makes it easy to get water on the floor. There’s no shower shelf for personal shampoo. There’s a shower gel dispenser (not a nice scent). The towels are thin. The $35 daily facility fee for WiFi, two waters, coffee in the room and a $15 credit at the hotel store is excessive. There are many empty storefronts near the hotel, but the area did not feel unsafe.

I had a great stay here, and will be back. The good: Every single staff person I met was amazing from front desk to housekeepers to bartenders. The hotel feels modern and has been updated. The rooms are a little small but have very comfortable beds, soft towels, and good amenities. The location is good on the edge of SOMA, close to the convention center. The restaurant food was twists on Classic French and everything was good. The bar served very nice cocktails at a fair large city price. The Regency Club was comfortable with a basic breakfast and limited evening service. The not so good: the breakfast in the club was pretty basic but decent. The evening service was very limited and would not pass as a meal. Bottom line is that this is a great place to stay for work or fun.

This hotel is great! Me and my mom stayed in two rooms on the 34th floor for two nights. The views were fantastic. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The lobby and lounge were nicely decorated and inviting. We loved the buffet breakfast. Location is a short walk to SFMOMA. Quick and easy pickup for ride share too, which we took to Golden Gate Park. Highly recommended.

Very clean and well-maintained room with a beautiful city and harbor view from the 35th floor. The room felt recently renovated, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The Wi-Fi was stable and fast, and I enjoyed the breakfast at the on-site restaurant. However, the smart TV experience was underwhelming—I couldn’t use Apple AirPlay, which was disappointing for a modern setup.

Best staff ever. Alexis, Meti and Zuleicka were welcoming and super helpful. Every visit is super chill. Hands down the best Hyatt and a great location for Oracle Park. Go Giants! This hotel is so relaxing and has several fun spots onsite like the downstairs bar, the upstairs rooftop restaurant/bar with city views and a Peruvian Nikkei restaurant on the first floor. An outside patio is also nice on those cool mornings to enjoy the buffet breakfast. You can walk along the Embarcadero 3 blocks away. Other restaurants and bars are within safe walking distance and a late night Taco Bell is across the street if you ate earlier at the ballpark and are starving. The Muni is close by to take you up to the Ferry building and Chase Center/Dogpatch. Again, the staff make the stay even more pleasant.

Very safe and clean hotel. Across from Oracle park. Convenient walk to Chase center. Outside is very nice and pretty safe for downtown. Rooms are nice and clean. Will be staying here again. Only negative is they don’t offer continental breakfast for the price. They do have coffee and tea in the lobby. Continental breakfast can be added for about $14.00 if needed.

So many things! First, the location was a block from Oracle Park (the purpose of my trip). Second, the hotel was able to accommodate my specific room request (that I did through the Booking.com App). Third, the staff was GREAT. They were very helpful during our odd check-in (past midnight)/check-out (4:45am) times; during breakfast (food was delicious and fully stocked during that time); and even provided me packets of toothpaste when I sheepishly asked because we had run out as this was the last stop on our trip. Finally, our room and the facility was CLEAN. No straggling hairs in bathroom, bed, couch. The mattress was comfortable (not too soft, not lumpy). There were lots of guests and the lobby was clean and orderly, as were the numerous areas available for breakfast seating (inside and outside which included two long fire pits).

Wonderful staff. They were friendly and helpful. The exemplify what great customer service is all about. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great breakfast with a good variety of selections. Beautiful outdoor patio was a big plus. It is feet from Oracle park and the train. Very convenient. Overall, it was a great choice.

Close to Chase Center and Oracle Park. Walking distance for good restaurants and bowling alley and bar across the street. Every single staff member we dealt with was amazing, friendly, very professional, and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property and would come and stay if I have another event in San Francisco.

The coffee was very good. The ambience of the hotel lobby, restaurant, and bar was very nice. There is a gym on the 2nd floor but we didn’t use it. The hotel is secure. The breakfast included with our rate was buffet breakfast. Breakfast was good. The restaurant staff were just confused with our deal.

We booked the hotel Clancy for a trip to San Francisco for my husband’s 50th birthday, clean, spacious and well decorated and well kept the hotel. Staff was pleasant, friendly accountable and respectful. The property was well-maintained as well as fully staffed and has impeccable customer service. We spent a lot of time in the hotel restaurant, which was absolutely Amazing the food was always perfect. The service was impeccable weight. Staff were absolutely amazing. We looked forward to coming back to the hotel restaurant every afternoon and had at least two meals there daily. We traveled with our two daughters and they were happy and intrigued to be entire time.

It was the best stay I've ever had in SF. The location was great, rooms were comfortable and spacious. The lobby, coffee shop, bar, restaurant were superb and aesthetically pleasing. The list of amenities were so fun!! ALL staff were always so friendly and helpful. The view was my favorite bit of it all.

The staff were extraordinarily helpful and friendly. Our bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever had in a hotel. We enjoyed the outdoor courtyard as well as the inviting indoor seating areas. The hotel restaurant offers tasty breakfast options as well. As is the case with most hotels in the city the parking fees seem excessively high but the valet staff were expedient and helpful. Our car was returned to us in good condition.

We were in town for a week under stressful circumstances. This hotel truly felt like a home away from home for us. Big rooms, quiet (really!), free parking, great breakfast options (included), great location for our needs and most importantly, a staff that went out of their way for us every day. Housekeeping was friendly and responsive (I asked for four towels the first day and I received fresh batches of towels for the rest of my stay. An additional pillow was provided within 5 minutes of my request. The room was cleaned every day.) The front desk staff was solicitous to our every need. Water bottles? No problem. An extra cookie? Of course. Do you happen to have a printer? Sure. You can't fake kindness and these folks were genuinely interested in making our stay as comfortable as possible. Parking can be a challenge in Berkeley but the free parking provided was safe and we never had problems finding a spot. When you stay for a week at a hotel, you discover the good and the bad. We have yet to see anything that we would improve upon here. Clean, friendly, free parking and breakfast, quiet rooms (recently remodeled) with a refrigerator, microwave, kitchen sink, and Keurig coffee. And did I mention hot water with good water pressure for the shower? Seriously, what is not to love about this place? We will definitely return.

The staff were very friendly and helpful both checkin and check out. The room & amenities were as expected, and were clean and quiet. Easy check in. Convenient location. Above average breakfast for the typical buffet (eg passion orange guava juice, press-a-button pancakes, good sausage gravy). Parking was convenient and onsite but the expedia review summary on this was misleading. The expedia review summary said "Free parking was a big plus with a secure and easily accessible parking lot." This gave us the impression the lot was gated or in some other way secured from public access. When we arrived we found the lot was not gated and open to the street. It's not the hotel's fault the expedia summary is wrong and doesn't provide description. We should have checked the hotel website. Also we appreciate the staff advising us so we didn't risk our items.

We like everything about Holiday Inn Express in Berkeley and highly recommend it for families looking for a safe, clean, and comfortable place to stay. We've stayed there for three consistent summers and are already making plans for our 4th visit next year. The management and staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We love that breakfast is included and that there's an in-house laundry and workout room as well as restaurants within walking distqnce. Thank you, Raj and team!

Convenient location. There were several walkable restaurants, however some were closed because we were there on a Sunday. Very easy parking, very clean, excellent breakfast. The room was spacious and comfortable bed with great pillowchoices, great shower. We Were pleasantly surprised!

Rooms were clean and beds comfortable, hotel breakfast was very good and surprised with all the options available. There’s a delicious Thai restaurant right next door and serve delicious food. Plus there are a couple coffee and pastry shops across the street and both are delicious! We’ll return to this hotel.

Good selection for breakfast. Thankful for the takeout plates. The pool and Jacuzzi were the best! Balcony with a view of the bay! Wonderful to have a mini-apartment for a hotel room! Everything was perfect!

I’ll start with saying I didn’t realize Hyatt House meant a literal tiny house for your stay so that was awesome. Pleasantly surprised considering I didn’t do my homework. The location was amazing. Very walkable if you didn’t drive in from good food to affordable shopping. Very close to freeway entrances. The included breakfast was delicious serving up French toast with sausage and eggs plus a yogurt/oatmeal/cereal bar with milk/juices/coffee/tea available and fruit until 10a on weekends so you don’t have to wake up super early! The room and view were great, we were on the 12th floor corner unit. Entire property was very clean as well and staff was polite and helpful.

Everything was great at this hotel from the minute I arrived. Reception staff was friendly and efficient. Room was spacious, modern, really clean with kettle, microwave, free WiFi, comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Breakfast was delicious with many choices available and layout of food area was exceptional.

close to Amtrak station and public transportation. clean and spacious. we had the king suite and it was comfortable. Nice big breakfast included. The gentleman working the buffet for breakfast found out I couldn’t have milk products and checked the food for me after I said I assumed the eggs weren’t safe, then sought me out in the dining room to update. that meant a lot to me, as it’s very hard to find dairy free food at hotel breakfasts.

We loved our room, which was clean and offered a lovely view. The staff in the lobby was exceptional- friendly, informative, helpful, and polite. You couldn't ask for better front desk people. Also, the breakfast was delicious. We were beyond happy with our stay.

I’m giving this hotel a 5 star review because it met every expectation I had when booking it. Please know this is not luxury accommodations. It is not a 5 star hotel per se. You will have everything you need in your room to sleep comfortably, shower, and make a morning coffee. The rooms are very clean and either new or recently renovated. We had absolutely no issues at all and were very grateful for an early check-in after our 15 hour flight from Australia. It is an excellent choice for a standard hotel. Kind service. Helpful. Clean. It won’t knock your socks off but was perfectly acceptable in every way. I can’t comment on the included breakfast because we used this hotel to catch some sleep during a 22 hour flight layover and our connection left very early in the morning. They did have coffee and tea set up at 5am in the lobby though, which we were grateful for. Definitely recommend!

Recently refurbished comfortable modern motif in rooms and public areas. Professional, welcoming staff. Excellent free breakfast buffet. Spacious room. Well designed accessible bathroom with roll-in shower. However, bathroom towels were wearing thin. Easy, flat walk to Fisherman’s Wharf. I would happily stay at this hotel again.

The concierge staff were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble as we arrived early. Concise information and friendly communication was a welcome addition. Our room was clean comfortable and quiet. The breakfast spread was ample and the staff were noted as polite friendly and respectful. This was during a very busy service period. The location of the hotel itself was extremely good. Walking distance to transport, cable cars , streetcars and buses plus the dining scene of quality cafes and restaurants was helpful. Would I recommend this place. Yes! And happily revisit for my next SanFran experience.

Great Stay👍 Had a wonderful time! From the time we checked in (Early, about 11:00) till checkout (Late, 1:00) No Hassles at all👍 As you know, getting as early check in or a late check out isn’t always the easiest thing to do. The staff was very friendly and professional ((especially Chloe). Not much of a breakfast buffet person but theirs was not bad at all👍 As you know breakfast is not cheap anymore, especially if you have a family! For 2 breakfast will probably cost you between $50-$70 with tip usually. Saves you some money for maybe a nicer dinner. Great Location! Will definitely stay there in the future👍 Hope this helps! Would be surprised if you didn’t agree with me after your stay✌️

I ONLY have good things to say about this property. Valet was fast and friendly. I think it was around $75/day. Sounds expensive, but it’s SF. I paid $30 to park for 6 hours at a museum. It all works out. The breakfast was delicious! Eggs, sausage, potatoes, muffins, cinnamon rolls, pancakes, toast, bagels, English muffins, individual Greek yogurts, cereal, milk, juices. The lobby was beautiful and big! The room was the best part— gorgeous views, bay windows, comfortable beds, plush pillows. My favorite part- fantastic showers with great shower pressure! The area was great, it was a quick 5 minute walk to Pier 39, 10 minutes to Ghirardelli, 12 minutes to Lombard. I would absolutely recommend this place! Super kid friendly!

The marker was top notch, I suggest if staying here to get valet parking so you don’t have to worry about the nightmare parking San Francisco has. The hotel was awesome from the staff to the cleanliness of the hotel. Only problem I had was when I was offered the upgrade to a jr suite the room I was given did not have a king bed or a jacuzzi bath as told in the offer to upgrade, but they did find me a room with a king and jacuzzi bath but charged me for it, so I was charged again for something I already paid for with Expedia. So I suggest to check the room first to make sure you get what you already paid for so they don’t try charging you again. All and all I’d definitely stay here again.

A comfortable, clean hotel with relaxing atmosphere just situated within walking distance of many attractions. Although some roads are steep, we managed a leisurely walk from the hotel via Taylor Street to the Fisherman's Wharf under 40 minutes. Union square is close by. It was interesting to visit the Ferry Building and its food stalls . A hop on hop off bus tour on our first 2 days just laid out the areas to see and the distances associated with them. Market street and Powell str Bart station is close by. When we checked in we were upgraded to a kingsize room on the 7th floor which was extra nice. Room was spacious and relatively quiet. Hotel staff were lovely, helpful and very accommodating. Complimentary tea and coffee is offered in the mornings at the restaurant which helped us start the day. We requested a kettle in our room and this was gladly provided by the hotel. Water drinking stations were available to refill water bottles in various places within the hotel. At the Marker hotel we felt safe and looked after. Highly recommended.

Stayed at The Marker for 4 nights with family, The hotel is in a good location and beautiful inside. The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful and always greeted with a smile. The Reception staff were very helpful and welcoming, The Housekeepers couldn’t do enough for us. The Bar staff were very friendly, but I feel we need to teach them how to pour a pint of lager, the glass needs to be angled to prevent a huge head lol. But all in all, A great experience There are homeless people about, but they are friendly and don’t bother you, they are just going about their day :)

I was in contact with two ladies at the reception and both were really nice and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I was delighted by the complementary offerings, including a bottled water in the room, a glass of wine in the late afternoon, and coffee at the restaurant in the morning. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy, with a comfortable bed and pillows. I also liked the note on the bed with a QR code leading to a selection of books to read. The hotel has a great location, just a few minutes walk from Union Square, added to the overall excellent experience.

We stayed at The Marker on a friends trip. The hotel was lovely, it has beautiful lobby area and our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The location was great for us, just a short walk to Union Square and the tram stop. There were also plenty of local coffee shops close by which we were thankful for when jet lag saw us up at 7am in the mornings! When we checked in we were given a map and shown which areas are good to visit and what to see there which was much appreciated seeing as it was our first time visiting the city. The staff were very friendly, and gave us vouchers for a free drink at the adjoining bar / restaurant. We had some drinks and although we didn’t eat there, it all looked very nice. We were also given a free water bottle which came in very handy, and there are water refill stations all around the city so it saved us buying bottles of water everywhere we went.

We stayed here while taking our kid to their first concert for their 13th birthday. The location was perfect—right between Berkeley for the concert and San Francisco for the next day’s adventure. The room was comfortable with an incredible view. Huge shoutout to the morning buffet kitchen staff—everyone was so polite and friendly. That said, the message about not bringing plates to your room is way too long; a simpler, clearer version would be better. Check-in wasn’t great. The woman who helped us didn’t seem friendly and came off more focused on impressing coworkers than welcoming guests. On the other hand, the woman at check-out was so kind and helpful! A couple small disappointments: no lotion or makeup remover wipes in the room (of course, the one time I forgot mine), and no microwave in-room, which made reheating leftovers a bit of a hassle since you have to go down to the lobby. Despite those things, overall it was a great hotel with a warm atmosphere and mostly lovely staff. Would definitely stay again!

Location for our needs. Room was spacious, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was great with many options and well attended by the hosts. Location to outside restaurants and shopping is phenomenal with the development of Bay St. and surrounding areas. Walking to the marina area with views of the Bay, San Francisco and both bridges is awesome. Laura, our reservations contact, prior to, when we arrived and during our stay was so attentive and helpful with all our questions, etc. Will definitely visit again in future visits to the East Bay area.

This was a one-night stay while some construction was happening at our house. The hotel was surprisingly quiet, despite the location near the train tracks and the location was great for our needs. I also appreciated that the parking was included with the room rate. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the included breakfast was very helpful for getting to school on time! The staff was friendly as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a comfortable, convenient stay.

The location was great with easy access to restaurants, shops and to you were within 10 minutes of San Francisco! The view from our room was amazing - looking directly out to the Bay, and the Bay and Golden Gate Bridges! Our room had a King sized bed, with a pullout couch (as an option) and had plenty of room. Everything appeared to be updated, beautiful, and clean. The staff was friendly. We even got a full hot breakfast included in our stay, which was wonderful! Parking was easy and convenient!

We had a great experience at the Hyatt Place Emeryville. The beds are comfortable and the pillows were just right, comfy and soft. Big soft towels and a clean and spacious room. Staff was friendly and helpful. As Hyatt members, we got a late check out. The locations is really fun with an outdoor walk-able mall on one side and a Public Market on the other. Parking was easy and accessible. Highly recommend this property. We will definitely be back!

Thank you very much indeed for a perfect stay in a great place! The room on the fifth floor with a view of Alcatraz and San Francisco Bay was memorable. The equipment in the room was good and so were the beds. Everything was vey clean. The famous Filipino restaurant Abaca is a must to try. The breakfast restaurants in the area was also a very nice experience. The very best thing about the Hotel however, is the staff. Everybody was very nice, friendly and helpful. The exception was Stormy and Yveey. They were just fantastic. It was like talking to very good old friends that gave us exceptional service throughout our 10 days stay. Thanks a lot to both of you. We would have been happy to stay 10 more days. Memorable wine hours. The Hotel is close to everything. A lot of restaurants within a short walking distance. Hope to see you all again soon. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It’s very nice, clean, and incredibly convenient. The location is perfect – it’s close to Little Italy, where you can enjoy amazing Italian food, and also within walking distance to the piers. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, making my stay even more pleasant. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and comfortable, which made for a relaxing experience. I especially enjoyed dining at the hotel’s Abaca Restaurant. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!

the property was beautiful. rooms were spacious, quiet,and clean, as was the rest of the hotel. nice lobby area, comfortable and cozy. fun evening cocktails with a dj spinning tunes. and turntables in the room with a WIDE selection of LPs. the only drawback was the room we were given: an accessable room, even though i requested otherwise. there was no vanity or even a countertop in the bathroom. just the sink, wall mounted, with the tiniest rim. a tiny corner table, and a tiny cart for towels to be put on. no towel bars or hooks of any kind to hang a towel on, aside from the handrails. i can appreciate how important this is for someone who needs it, but at least one place to put things would be good for those of us that don't. just a hook to put clothes or a towel on, at the very least. other than that, it was such a nice property! walkable to everything, including abundant transit. and the restaurant! love filipino food!! highly reccomend a stay here!

I loved the dj in the lobby, the happy hour-great wine, the check-in was easy, the plant pal to bring to my room, the record player in the room, The lp’s in the lobby to check out, the city view from the room, the sweatshirt robes-so comfy, the bed- clean and soft, the bath amenities delicious oh, the front desk staff are so kind and helpful and the restaurant is just incredible- had breakfast, yum! I felt great staying at this hotel. My room felt spacious and very comfortable.

Great hotel with clean, comfortable and totally quiet rooms. We got a discounted upgrade at the last minute and opened curtains to a view of Alcatraz which was awesome. Super friendly and helpful front desk staff. Happy hour wine and beer was a nice treat. It’s ideally located just 10mins walk from Pier 39 and just 5mins walk from the start of the Powell-Hyde cable car line. We didn’t try the restaurant (but would recommend eightam for an exceptional breakfast, which is just 4mins round the corner)

We fully enjoyed our stay here... Room was clean and there was plenty of room. staff was helpful. You had to ask for amenities like a hair dryer, but I believe you could get one. But it was very clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable, there were enough outlets.. I can't think of anything negative about it. It was perfect for what we needed it for. Had a small fridge, no microwave, and no coffee in the room (coffee downstairs was very good) Overall, this place was great!!! Would recommend!

The rooms are clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. The location is quiet and walkable and safe. I liked the coffee station in the morning. Nice setup with plenty of options for coffee or tea. The hotel courtyard is a really nice space for enjoying the fresh air! I also loved the window nook in our room! Lovely place to sit and read.

The good stuff: - Staff very friendly - Bed/linens seemed new, room very comfortable - Complimentary coffee in AM and happy hour in PM - Excellent location across street from Japantown shops and restaurants, and SFMuni bus line #2 stop Considerations: - breakfast in restaurant only, did not have opportunity to try it. - Restaurant is high end for dinner, I was going to look into it but it was closed on Mondays. - Picture in hotel description shows a small but functional gym space with treadmill and long rack of dumbbells. When I got there the "gym" looked like a former closet, only a few dumbbells and a few square feet of floor space. I would stay here again but plan to take a class at the nearby orange theory fitness.

We have stayed at this location before but this hotel has changed hands and was completely remodeled. It was beautiful and the beds were extremely comfortable. Parking was a problem as the garage filled up quickly. However the attendant made sure to find room for us so that was appreciated. The only negative was the restaurant. It was too expensive and the choice for breakfast was limited. The offering was set and there was no chance to order a la carte. The only thing I could eat was the chicken and waffles, but I can't eat eggs or yogurt so I was disappointed and that was too much food for breakfast. Since we were in Japantown, I was hoping for a Japanese breakfast as an alternative. There was only one other person in the restaurant. In the past, there were real breakfast options! We stayed and ate there because we felt sorry for the waiter, but if we stay there again we will eat across the street, plus $25 is a bit steep for what we were served.

The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were very clean and spacious, the coffee in the room was so delicious, the view was stunning and the valet parking people and everyone in general was very kind, friendly and helpful. We loved the view from the room and the location was perfect. They even had fresh fruit at the front desk for us to enjoy:)

You can’t beat the location of this hotel. Across from the Moma, next to the Gold Club, walking distance to tons of restaurants, museums and shopping. We are quite familiar with this area and have stayed many times at the Hyatt Regency and Marriot as well as the Nikko, the Line, Intercontinental, and Zelos. The W is by far our favorite. The decor is awesome. The rooms, while small are quite functional. The bathroom is large and the shower is great, just remember to press the 2 buttons and turn to get the hot water. There is a child safe lock that foiled us the first time showering at 4am. The bed is very comfortable. The blackout shade had no light leaks! They didn’t knock on the door until 12:30 Sunday morning. There is a $35 not optional destination fee that must be used in the bar/restaurant. This is something that all hotels have been instituting. It got us to hang in the bar which was nice. But they double charged this fee and added a tip of their choosing which we were not happy with. We chose the cheapest king room on booking, I think it was called wonderful. The adjectives denote how high your floor is. We were placed on the 6th floor. There was zero street noise.

I had the pleasure of staying at the W San Francisco, and it was an awesome experience. The beautiful view of the Bay Bridge from my room was simply breathtaking. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, making sure every aspect of my stay was perfect. The food and drinks at the lobby bar were fantastic, and the atmosphere was cool and sexy. I particularly loved the window seat in my room, where I could relax with snacks and drinks while enjoying the stunning views. The hotel made me feel very safe and comfortable throughout my stay. I just wish I could have stayed longer. I can't wait to go back again next weekend! Highly recommended!

I'm so glad we booked this hotel! Everyone on the staff - from the front desk to the bellman to the servers at Trace - were very friendly and helpful. The woman who checked us in made my daughter feel very welcome and gave her personal attention -- something that always goes a long way with me & my husband. The room had a fantastic view of the city, the beds were actually comfortable (something we often don't find). My ONLY wish is that they could find a way to fit 2 queen beds instead of 2 doubles... and/or find a way to allow a rollaway in the king sized rooms. A double bed is nearly impossible for 2 adults to sleep in. Like other reviewers, I really dislike the $40/day "destination fee". It forced us to eat at the restaurant every morning so we could earn the credit back. We would've loved to save money having breakfast elsewhere at least a few days. Overall, great experience and we would definitely stay there again!

location - It is the closest hotel to the convention center and it felt safe. room- It was very modern, clean, and spacious with a terrific city view. staff- They were all friendly.

The hotel location in Japantown was perfect. Parking was easy in the city parking garage attacked to the hotel. The staff was excellent, so attentive and kind. The lobby area was huge and had so many great seating areas for relaxing. There was also a 24/7 coffee/tea station which was great. We spent an afternoon downstairs just reading on a sofa, which was lovely. The room itself was simple and clean. The bathroom was not luxurious, but perfectly adequate. The buffet breakfast (an extra cost) was great. Huge variety and good quality food. Would highly recommend this hotel to others visiting the city, especially anyone hoping to avoid the downtown area which can be very busy.

We chose the kabuki on a whim to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was perfect. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a balcony with SF views. The hotel bar, koi pond, lobby and Nari Thai restaurant were all excellent. Best of all there’s japantown right out the door.

Very stylish, unique hotel. And in 2023, it's important to add that it's in a safe neighborhood. Hotel Kabuki is rightly on many lists like the 10 Coolest Hotels in San Francisco and the very Best Boutique Hotels in San Francisco. I agree. I've lived in San Francisco for almost 30 years and know the neighborhoods well. While renovating our apartment, I had to find a room near home last minute. I looked extensively online and found other hip, beautiful hotels in SF, but once I saw the neighborhood or cross streets, I knocked them off the list because of how seedy the areas are now. Hotel Kabuki is the rare gem that is All. The. Things. The aesthetics are a 10 out of 10. The hotel strikes an eyebrow-raising balance between artistic and minimalist. The staff is top-notch, welcoming, warm, professional. The beds, pillows, and sheets are incredibly comfortable. Everything is super clean and fresh. The breakfast buffet was great and staff was very friendly. As vegans, it was nice to see food clearly labelled as vegan. Coffee, tea and hot water is easily accessible near the lounge dining area. Room was very spacious and quiet. Loved staying in Japantown where it was more quiet and chilled vibe. You’re also inbetween Golden Gate area and Union Square. Bottled water is available on demand from front desk.

I recently stayed at the Marriott City Center in Oakland during the holiday season, and it was a truly wonderful experience! What I Loved: Prime Location: The hotel is perfectly situated in downtown Oakland, just steps away from the BART station, making it incredibly convenient to explore both Oakland and San Francisco. It’s also close to Jack London Square, Lake Merritt, and great local dining and shopping options. Beautiful Amenities: The hotel offers excellent amenities that enhanced my stay. The rooms are spacious, modern, and immaculately clean, with stunning views of the city. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays, creating a warm and festive ambiance. I especially loved the complimentary hot cocoa and cookies – a sweet touch! Dining Options: The on-site restaurant, Iron & Oak, served delicious meals with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Their holiday menu was a standout, and the seasonal cocktails were the perfect way to end a busy day of exploring. Friendly Staff: The staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. From the front desk team to housekeeping, everyone was welcoming, attentive, and helpful. Convenient Amenities: The fitness center was well-equipped, and the meeting spaces were perfect for the small event I attended. The hotel also had great Wi-Fi, which made it easy to work when needed.

I stayed at this hotel during the recent Dreamforce event in San Fransisco as part of the staff allocation. While over the bridge in Oakland, the hotel is located right across the road from the BART and it only took 15-20 mins to be at SF Tower or Moscone. The area was pretty good, with a selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel was solid and what you expect from a standard Marriott. Comfy bed, decent sized TV and a small workspace. The bathroom was spacious, but the water pressure on the low side. There was no breakfast buffet, but the Iron & Oak breakfast was tasty diner food (but not included as a perk for Platinum Elite members) The room service menu was small, but the food was tasty enough and the staff were friendly, even if a little understaffed for a big event. would definitely return.

I want to give a special shout-out to the hotel staff, and especially the restaurant staff. They are so friendly, responsive, and professional down to the smallest details. I rarely eat at hotel restaurants when I stay somewhere, but I went back three times because the service was so good there. And everyone I encountered at the front desks and housekeeping were so friendly and enthusiastically greeted me as I passed (even when I didn't need something). The property is good too--it has been renovated and, overall, the rooms are modern and comfortable. But the staff really stood out to me.

Amazing stay! The location is perfect juts steps from the BART. The area felt safe and there was even a security guard at the property. The room was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We can for a concert at Oakland Arena and it was a great location for that! Would absolutely stay again!!

As I used to live in San Francisco (25+ years), I know my way around - but now I have to learn about hotels! I'd walked by the Grand Hyatt a million times, and stopped in for a drink or coffee once in awhile, but this is my first time as a guest. I've stopped looking for hotels - Grand Hyatt ticks all the boxes, I'll be staying here from now on when I need to go to the City. Location is great - Chinatown, Union Square, cable car line, etc (and 450 Sutter if you need a dentist). The hotel itself is very quiet and the bar/lounge (One Up) is a perfect respite for a drink and snacks. I say snacks but the food was excellent and generous portions. Drinks were well-concocted (on the strong side too!). The room was not huge but great for our needs and very clean. Beds very comfy. Huge window and city view was lovely. Staff from valets to front desk to waitstaff to maid service, ALL super nice and genuinely friendly. Very welcoming and a comfortable but elegant atmosphere throughout. Very pleasant and relaxing stay!

The buffet breakfast was delicious but a bit pricey. The bed was very comfortable The lobby is gorgeous with all kinds of amazing artwork and 2 huge fire places The location was great. Easy to walk around or get to public transportation and cable cars Timothy had he bellman was wonderful friendly and helpful. He gave us great tips on off the beaten path places to visit like sales force park The concierge service was great especially the lady with glasses and grey hair pull back in a French braid

We had an awesome, huge 2-room, 2 bath suite on 33rd floor with a spectacular view of the city. My only complaint was that the furnishings in the living room were a bit spartan and could use an update, and the window shades in both rooms need replacing with better, more modern ones. The common spaces were quite nice, and service and overall vibe was very good. Would have appreciated a room service menu at reasonable prices. I did not appreciate the excessive charge for self-parking in the (yes, convenient) public lot across the street (we drove to SF) - although I know SF is notorious for expensive parking prices. Seems to me Hyatt guests could actually get a *discounted* rate, rather than a boosted rate (public rate is $46 for 24 hours - we paid $62). Valet parking was an unconscionable $90/day. All that said, Union Square location was better than I expected, despite being in a busy area, and turned out to be perfect for our needs - especially with 2 small dogs who needed walking (they appreciated the grassy spots). It's one block from the Powell/Hyde cable car, one block from Chinatown, walkable to Embarcadero and Market St/SoMA area. NBA All-Star Weekend activities in Union Square park, and Lunar New Year parade added to the sparkle and fun. Little café in the park had unexpectedly good coffee and pastries. And, yes, we did make a purchse at the Apple Store just downstairs on the corner. :-)

The room was nice and bed comfortable but the pool is to cold to swim in even in summer. A jacuzzi should be put in

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel in July and had an excellent stay. Everything went perfect from the minute we stepped into the hotel checking in and when we left. The staff at the frontdesk is very kind, correct and fast. The breakfast buffe is above standard for this type of hotel, food is served in a very clean area and always fresh and refilled. Restuarant in nighttime we tried the pizza after arrival late, very good and a good assortment of beers on tap in the bar. We stayed in a corner suite on 26th floor with one bedrom and a livingroom with sofabed, the view of San Fran was as cool as amazing. Room was very very clean and beds unusal comfortable, we had a very good sleep (despite our jetag). Last but not least, we liked the location of the hotel too, a nice area, Wholefoods and Trader Joe around the corner, Guitar Center across the street and 5-10 min walk to a couple of great bars and restaurants. If ever returning to San Francisco I will never stay in another hotel than this, highly recommended!

We had a corner view room 1801. Great views. Could see Alcatraz prison. Clean and comfortable room. Double glazed windows that don’t open so you rely on air conditioning. Buffet breakfast was top quality and included fresh fruit. We used the restaurant for dinner one night and prices were reasonable and serving sizes were large. Great location on Nob Hill with the cable car down to town right beside the hotel. We would stay again if in town.

We were very happy at this hotel. Super helpful front desk and bell staff -- very welcoming. The room was a generous size, and everything seemed updated. The room finishings and amenities were nice; it's not a high-end sort of place, but it felt high-end-adjacent -- they're trying hard. The bed and bedding were COMFORTABLE. The buffet breakfast was REALLY GOOD. No, they haven't found a way to make chafing-dish-eggs into something delectable, but the eggs were still good, plus they offered a veggie frittata that we haven't seen elsewhere. The hotel has reserved a big corner of the ground floor with huge windows for the breakfast and bar area. The space is bright and airy for an evening drink or for breakfast. The hotel's location is fine. You won't feel like you're in tourist ground zero -- the hot spots aren't far, but they aren't right where the hotel is, either. Fisherman's Wharf, for example, is a little over a mile away, but we walked it (mostly downhill), and we're both north of 60. You can also pick up the cable car on California Street a little over a block away.

The front desk people are fantastic. Upon checkin we were greeted well and made to feel very welcome. The room was a little tight as we were next to the houskeeping closet on our floor. Otherwise, it was clean and kept well. My only complaint is that the windows do not block out noise from outside. We were 20 stories up and heard all the traffic noise. The restaurant/bar is very confusing. You have to order from a guy at a register, then they bring food out to wherever you sit. Half the tables were roped off as “reserved” so it got hard to find somewhere to sit. The bar service was no better. When you got someones attention, it was met with an air of “oh you want a second drink? I thought you were just going to pay your bill”. The food was very good though. Typical fare, but hot and fresh. We really liked the location of the hotel. It was pretty central to anything you wanted to do or see so ubers were not too expensive. Some good little restaurants and bars in walking distance.

Five stars: The professionalism of the staff; attention to detail in style, lighting, comfort throughout public areas and rooms; very clean; amazing view; fascinating history! Spacious bathroom for dressing, with room for an ironing board. Extra appreciation for quality of the food (club breakfast buffet includes smoked salmon, fresh berries, croissants, sparkling water and good coffee; casual, central cafe serves tasty, light fare in a bright, comfortable, calm space, despite lobby setting). Maximum appreciation for the friendly, helpful staff — especially Luis at the front desk, a gentleman who represents the hotel and San Francisco so well, makes guests welcome and sparks enthusiasm for a stay.

My room was amazing I asked for a " room with a view" and it did not disappoint. I had a room on the 31st floor with an amazing view. The bed was large and super comfy and the room was very clean. Location was central and absolutely fantastic I was able to walk to Union Square I loved everything about it including the lift with the fantastic view. I felt very safe in the location and the hotel itself. It exceeded my expectations.

First of all, the hotel is beautiful. It's very centrally located and within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and several tourist attractions. The accommodations were great, the bed was especially comfortable. The Club Lounge was served a great breakfast and good appetizers during Happy Hour. The Saint Francis offered several lovely amenities in addition to the Club Lounge for Bonvoy members including an afternoon wine tasting. We also enjoyed having night caps at the bar. My husband loved the espresso martinis, and I totally enjoyed having a hot toddy before turning in for the night. Although all of the staff members were helpful, our concierge, Jeff Aquino, was wonderful. He provided excellent information and guidance and has the perfect personality for his role. He went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our stay as well as made solid recommendations about where to go and what to do. Jeff is a welcoming presence and a valuable asset to the hotel. We look forward to future stays at the Saint Francis.

I had a fantastic stay at The Westin St. Francis on Union Square (Drake SF)! From the moment I arrived, Jose at the front desk made me feel incredibly welcome — he was warm, attentive, and even had scrumptious treats ready for my pup, who was just as thrilled as I was. Jose went above and beyond, not only giving me a luxurious suite with an incredible view of the city, but also taking the time to walk me through every detail of the $20 F&B credit included with my stay. He carefully explained how to use it, where it could be applied, and even pointed out the outlets’ closing times to make sure I wouldn’t miss the opportunity. That kind of thoughtful service really stood out. The room itself was spacious — over 500 square feet — and beautifully appointed. Definitely not your typical SF shoebox with a cramped bathroom. Everything felt elevated, relaxing, and well-designed. If you're staying in San Francisco, you can't beat this luxury hotel with its number one location, incredible views, and top-tier service. I can’t wait to return!

We came up from the South Bay with our kids for a 4th of July staycation, and this hotel is underated! The location couldn’t be better—right across from Union Square, steps away from the cable car stop, and NEXT door to the new Nintendo store (which our kids were super excited about). Yeah, some stores in the area have closed, but a lot are still open, and it was way less crowded than it used to be, which was actually kind of nice. The streets were clean too. If you’re visiting from out of town and wish to walk, just ask which streets are best to stick to—hotel staff were super helpful. Valet parking is available for $80, but there is public parking under Union Square for $40 a night. Everyone at the hotel was really friendly. We had a perfect view of Union Square. Beds were comfy, room was clean—no complaints at all. If you’re thinking about staying here, don’t sleep on it! Check out Tratto and La Travesia nearby, the food was great!

I recently stayed at the Hampton Garden Inn and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel is small and quaint, located about 20 minutes away from SFO without traffic, making it a convenient option for travelers. Pros: * Restaurant/Bar: The highlight of my stay was definitely the hotel’s restaurant/bar. Everything I ordered was delicious and well-prepared. * Friendly Staff: The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, which made the stay more enjoyable. * Location: There’s a walking path nearby that I, unfortunately, didn’t get to explore. Additionally, there are a few shops and restaurants within walking distance, adding to the convenience. Cons: * Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast buffet was just okay; it met basic expectations but didn’t stand out. * Noise: My room had connecting doors, and my neighbors were very loud, speaking loudly late into the night. This made it difficult to sleep, although this is not the hotel's fault. * Housekeeping: Housekeeping doesn’t seem to be daily, and I had to request for my room to be cleaned. Despite these minor issues, I would consider staying at the Hampton Garden Inn again due to the friendly staff and great restaurant/bar. If you’re a light sleeper, I would recommend requesting a room without connecting doors.

Easy access to highway, restaurants walking distance, very friendly courteous professional staff, hotel has a bar, very nice lobby area, offers complimentary coffee, very clean, great size room comfortable bed,nice size shower and restroom, had coffee pot and fridge and we were offered a higher room with view of bay without having to ask. Breakfast was very good, Patty Luna the hostess was very attentive she was non stop going to every table replenishing whatever guest were requesting, and cleaning the areas where food was, greeting each guest who walked in for breakfast, and thanking each one as they left, very impressive.

We stayed overnight in June and it was a delightful experience. The hotel is a little hard to walk to from BART, so we took the EmeryGoRound and it stopped on Powell Street so all we had to do was walk under the overpass. The room we booked was Bay view, and at an elevation that felt like a "bird's nest" rest. The height did not affect the shower pressure, and the bath was clean. Everything was so clean and the towels were luxury quality. After wondering about the breakfast the manager said it would be taken off of the deposit. My friend was so tired, that breakfast buffet was just what we needed. They allowed us to take our take-out buffet upstairs, plus there was hot coffee in the lobby. The staff were really nice despite confusion about the card key and other question. My friend and I hope to be able to stay here again someday.

Great service, attentive staff, clean throughout the building. Large hot.tub and workout center. Great little bar. We didn't get to eat at the bar as we were very busy, but we did try the breakfast, and although it was good and there was a variety, the cost was not clear. There were two options, and only one option had a price listed. Also.i had thought the room price had continental breakfast, but it didn't get charged that way. I got charged $23 each. I think that could be clearer as the lady seating me had a thick accent and mostly just knocked her head while talking, and I gave up asking for her to clarify. She was very attentive and was great at making sure we had what we needed. Sad i didnt get to see the hot tub waterfall, but the water was nice to sit in at night. Sad it doesnt open til 10am and the check out is 11am.

I loved the bay view. The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean and there was a keurig coffee maker. Lots of room and great lighting. The shower temperature was perfect and had good water pressure. The a/c worked great. The location is great with an easy walk to restaurants and shopping mall.
