Prior to arrival, all communication with Donna was clear and super helpful. On arrival, I let myself in and was able to study peacefully all day in the large open living area. I stayed in room 2 and it was even better than the images show. Super comfortable bed, en suite bathroom, comfy armchair, wide array of drinks and biscuits and a mini fridge to keep my own food and drink. Every part of the property was immaculate. Apparently Sabine Barn has been welcoming guests for 10 years - but you'd never know, as everything looks brand new. The full English vegetarian breakfast the next morning was delicious. There was also fresh fruit, yoghurts, fruit juices, cafetière coffee and tea. The large atrium lets in lots of light and looks out over the garden - the perfect way to start the day! Donna and Clive couldn't have been more helpful - they went out of their way to make my stay amazing. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely be returning next time I'm in Oxford.

Sabine B & B is probably the best B & B we have stayed at for a while. The hosts Donna & Clive were very helpful with suggestions and info about the travel to Oxford by bus, and nothing was too much trouble for them. We select this B & B for a visit to Blenheim Palace, and it was perfect just a short car drive away. The lounge area had a very welcoming log burner which made it very homely, and since the lounge/breakfast area was large it was pleasantly warm with Clive setting the log burner before breakfast. Breakfast was superb, and plentiful cereal/fresh fruit/yogurt followed by a nice cooked breakfast items selected to your liking and all in a comfortable atmosphere too. My wife prefers soya milk, and it appeared next morning!

Donna and Clive are very friendly, the breakfast is delicious, the room is cosy and spotlessly clean. The bed is comfy. The parking is private and safe.

You know when you book something online and it looks really nice....then you arrive and it takes your breath away? That's how we felt when we walked into Sabine Barn. We'd planned this overnighter on our way to a four-day canal boat trip when we discovered the marina was a two minute drive away, so it was convenient. And it looked really nice. When we opened the door to the cottage, it felt as though we'd walked into a beautiful home that was ours for the night. Beamed ceilings overlooked an elegantly designed living room that beckoned us to sit, reunite with our friends and observe the friendly black cat wandering outside who kept trying to join us. Our bedroom was upstairs and was equally lovely. More whitewashed beams across the ceiling, a huge comfy bed, large bathroom with enormous tub and good shower and all the modern amenities one could wish for (multiple outlets for plugs, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, heated towel rack and lots of space for bags and clothes). We didn't stay for breakfast but we met our hosts, Donna and Clive, on the way out and discovered why this place was so pleasing in every way: the owners. My husband and I have stayed in B&Bs around the world and this one stands out as one of the loveliest we've seen. Now we need to find a reason to return to this part of the world so we can stay here again.

We booked two nights at the Royal Oak. This beautiful 17th Century Pub was in the heart of the picturesque village of Ramsden. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Menus were varied with some traditional and some more innovative dishes. Our favourite breakfast was the vegetarian full with "haggis" (even though we are not veggies!). We dined at the pub both evenings - Sunday roast was amazing and we decided that we wanted to eat there again the following night. The food is locally sourced, fresh and home made. We really liked the layout of the pub with the original cosy bar area at the front and a bright spacious oak and glass conservatory at the rear leading out to a beautiful garden courtyard where we chose to sit and eat breakfast. There is also a 'secret' walled garden if you want to sit somewhere really quiet! Our room was tastefully furnished, cosy, clean and quiet, with en suite (great shower). Our big bed was really comfy and we had a good night's sleep. Kettle, Tea, coffee & biscuits all provided. A really nice touch was a small decanter of Port and two glasses left in our room, to round the evening off ! We will be returning to this pub for another short break as soon as we can.

wow, what a fabulous little inn. quite possibly the best place we've ever stayed in the UK. the room was fantastic, perfectly clean and spacious. we paid for a standard room and had more than enough room. facilities were fantastic, the most luxurious shampoo/conditioner/shower gel I've ever used in a hotel. great view on to the front of the road, could watch the tractors and horses go by. the bar and restaurant was gorgeous, great drinks at reasonable prices for the area. food was delicious, 10/10. our favourite feature is breakfast being included in the price for all hotel guests, a super addition that all hotels should do. the most beautiful and quaint building and outside garden area to the back, with fairy lights and ample seating between the flowers and bushes. all the staff from checking in, to breakfast, to the bar were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. we're already excited to return and will be recommending this place to our friends and family.

We stayed at The Royal Oak for just one night but wish it had been for longer. Our room (which was up the spiral staircase on the first floor of the main building) was beautifully furnished - the perfect mix of antique and modern. Lots of storage and very spacious. The bed was comfortable and the shower was just right. All very clean and well maintained. You could tell that a lot of thought had gone into everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal and drinks in the garden. Our vegetarian Sunday roast was delicious as were the desserts. Breakfast was very tasty with a good vegetarian selection. There was also a very small selection of cereal, fruit and juice if you wanted it. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We would definitely return for a longer stay.

The hotel is deep in Oxfordshire countryside in the quiet village of Ramsden. The small cozy pub, decked out in classic English country cottage style, is welcoming and the staff and service are what make it special. We went for a night to celebrate our 1st anniversary with dinner, bed and breakfast. We paid to upgrade to a deluxe room which was large with a four poster bed (a bit creaky but added to the charm), a large bathroom with free-standing cast iron bath and separate loo and shower room. You get a complimentary small flask of port with excellent specialty teas and coffees. As it's an old and small building, so expect creaking floorboards and noise filtering up from the bar and people walking around, but it's nice and quiet during the night. Dinner was excellent with the added bonus of a complimentary glass of fizz because they noticed that I'd mentioned it was our anniversary when booking. That's the sort of thing that makes me want to come back.

All the staff were pleasant, helpful and very welcoming; they were clearly keen to make their guests welcome. The accommodation is a very old building in a pretty village about 4 miles from the interesting town of Witney which has many shops, restaurants, a cinema etc and some tourist attractions. It is also fairly easy to access other Cotswold attractions by car. The room had a pleasant rustic feel to it, the bed was comfortable and there were plenty of drawers for storage. Hanging space was provided in the bathroom. The shower was exceptionally good and quality shower gel, shampoo etc were provided. Breakfast was provided over a wide time period. The restaurant and bar were available all days at reasonable hours. Cooked meal portion sizes were generous and the menu had many options.

Location was perfect in a small pretty village but near to bigger towns for visiting. The room was beautiful, couldn’t fault a thing. The breakfast was included and there was lots of choice, great portion sizes and delicious. We ate in the bar the first night and that was amazing too. The bar/restaurant area was really cosy and the food was a bit more special than a normal pub and was all delicious. Staff were really friendly and helpful. All in all it was perfect!!

I stayed at The Harcourt Arms this week, a lovely small hotel set in the countryside, yet close enough to Witney for an easy 15‑minute drive into work. From the moment I arrived, the experience was wonderful — the receptionist was very professional and personally escorted me to my room, taking the time to explain everything I might need during my stay. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and beautifully presented. It felt inviting and homely. There was a coffee machine for those who prefer coffee and a nice selection of herbal teas. As a woman travelling for work, I felt very safe and at ease. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming that I even sat outside in the evening with a glass of wine — something I rarely do when travelling alone. Every member of staff was very friendly and professional, including the barman. Breakfast was superb — the smashed avocado with poached eggs on sourdough was probably the best I’ve ever had — compliments to the chef! I will most certainly return to The Harcourt Arms next time I’m in Witney. Thank you for a truly enjoyable stay.

Wonderful stay for one night here. We went to the theatre in Oxford so not too far away to travel. On arrival the fire was lit and it was so cosy & warm. The man checking us in was very pleasant and welcoming. We were checked in promptly & shown to our room. Very clean, very big, lots of little nice touches like the shower gel which smells amazing 😍 … the coffee machine with Starbucks pods. Bath was lovely too. The bed was super comfortable. Our whole stay was just perfect. Ample parking. Offered breakfast 8-10am but we’re not breakfast people so can’t comment. Check out was simple. Overall 10/10! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely atmosphere and decor. Very spacious and perfect if you’re travelling with dogs. We stayed for one night for my husbands birthday and the whole experience was faultless! We had dinner in the restaurant and the team were so attentive and friendly. They had put a dog mat and bowl in our room for our dog and made a fuss of him which he liked very much. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet at night making it very easy to get a good nights sleep. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and they bought our dog a sausage too! Overall a 10/10 experience and we will definitely be returning! Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely welcome, personable friendly staff and housekeepers. Professional, good breakfast, enough options but not to much so quality or standards get compromised. Good local information, staff who would talk if you want to talk or let you be if you want some quiet time. Comfortable historical pub with double door inglenook fire places with plenty of wood so you feed the fire a watch the flames while having a wee dram. Rooms are modern spacious yet in keeping and comfortable comfortable equipped bathroom, plenty of fluffy white towels, soft water and quality toiletries, which they; sell so I brought a bottle of the shower gel.

The second of the Peach Pubs hotels we have stayed in and it was a fairly enjoyable experience. The hotel is in Cumnor, a pretty and quiet village on the outskirts of Oxford and mostly in an old and gorgeous Cotswold-style pub. The downsides of our stay were: the room was in a building that on one side looks over the parking lot and outside decks for the restaurant and bar, making things a tad noisy till about 10:30pm. The other side of the room is right on the road where all the traffic through Cumnor runs, including large and heavy trucks which actually make the building shake when they zoom past. (I don’t know if the rooms above the bar in the main building would be any quieter though.) While the room was comfortable, the TV had barely three working channels and the designer/architect clearly belonged to the school that believes it’s perfectly normal to put the nearest outlet/socket at least 10ft away from any mirror making it REALLY difficult to dry one’s hair! (Evidently UK hotels do not put outlets for hairdryers in the bathroom.) The upsides of our stay: a warm and nicely decorated room with a comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom and a very good restaurant/bar with friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking space too and easy access to Oxford or Eynsham/Witney.

Our room was absolutely beautiful and spacious with a firm but come bed. We stayed for one night and had a drink in the cosy bar area by the fireplace followed by dinner in the restaurant. The food was excellent, our dinner was delicious and both had the steaks which were cooked perfectly. Our breakfast was excellent too, the full English was great. The staff were exceptional, very welcoming with great service and very attentive. We will certainly be back.

This hotel is an old house converted into a pub with accommodation. Our room was above the public bar, which was either very quiet or the sound proofing was great. Either way we heard no noise. It was accessed by a narrow and steep winding staircase, welcome to medieval England! Our room was spacious and well equipped. We hosted an old friend for dinner. We had pre-dinner drinks in the garden bar and moved into the restaurant for the meal. The meal itself was top shelf pub food and the breakfast what you'd expect in a pub. Hearty and tasty. Good parking and friendly and helpful staff. It is located in a small village west of Oxford but fairly handy to Oxford. There is quite a history here, but it is not where Elizabeth I's favourite's wife died, but he owned the house at the time.

We had a wonderful stay at the Bear and Ragged Staff, the location was superb, particularly so if you like the countryside. We had lovely sunny weather, but I can imagine this Inn is super cozy when it's raining and drowsy. The staff was super helpful and professional, kind and friendly. We didn't have any dinner or breakfast, however the food we saw being served looked very good and the place was buzzing with locals and tourists. The restaurant, terrace and beer garden looked amazing. Our room was perfectly fine, clean and came with complementary tea, coffee, chocolate milk and water. I loved the wallpaper and art style of the room. I'd definitely recommend this Inn to friends and family and we're planning on returning during autumn- or wintertime, to experience the cosiness of the Bear and Ragged Staff Inn.

Stayed for 3 nights in this lovely old pub. Plenty of oak beams and quirky nooks and crannies. Need to concentrate on not banging your head on the doorframe if you are over 5ft tall! Loved that they had log fires burning in the bar in the evenings. Room was large, comfortable and clean and very quiet despite the busy bar and restaurant downstairs. Food choice was good with a wide range of options for breakfast in particular. Appreciated the friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay and would definitely return.

The Old Parsonage is a hotel whose facade and location next to the St. Giles Church out of Dickens. The lobby has an inviting fireplace where one may enjoy mulled wine (lovely in the winter) or spritzer in the summer. The rooms are clean and spacious if you go for the doubles or Jr. suites. The appointments are thoughtful. The cleanliness is bar none. There is a library where you may have a drink (second floor with a terrace). And the menu offers fresh sourdough bread breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea. The menu changes seasonally. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The location is superior...you may walk to shops and cafes and restaurants on Little Clarendon Street and visit historic renowned pubs, The Eagle and Child and The Lamb and the Flag. I felt safe, comfortable and really enjoyed the homey atmosphere. I always feel peaceful in Oxford, the city that is just busy enough that it provides a restful place to relax. The Old Parsonage offers that peace, comfort and luxury as well.

The Old Parsonage Hotel in Oxford is a lovely, quiet place to stay in a historic and profound city. The hotel reflects the nature and tenor of Oxford. It has historical significance and modern values, with exceptional attention to comfort (bed, climate controlled rooms, shower, etc.) The hotel retains the facade from past centuries and the beauty of the current, lovely and modern with all the amenities that one would wish from maid and concierge service, to the room appointments. These are thoughtfully prepared even down to the floral and Christmas decorations. The hotel location is perfect, near the city center and the colleges and is in walking distance to everything: cafes, restaurants, bookstores, shops and the Christmas market. The dining room provides a fine breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea and the wait staff is extremely accommodating, the food is excellently prepared. The bread is homemade. My venison last night for dinner was bar none. There are also vegetarian selections. In short the staff and the chef did everything possible to make our stay here the best that could be offered. I would return in a heartbeat during the Christmas season when I enjoy traveling to the UK. I particularly loved the fireplace in the lobby area where a friend and I sipped mulled wine. I will think fondly of the Old Parsonage after I return to the U.S. What a grand time I've had hear.

Gorgeous hotel, great staff and service, clean and tidy. Fab from the moment we pulled in the carpark and saw a personalised car park space. Room was spacious if not enormous. Opposite our door was the hotel library which was perfect for a little work. Room was lovely and quiet even with the balcony door open. Reception organised taxis for us with no fuss. The bar was nice and reasonably priced. Breakfast was very good. Only complaint was bed was only a queen size and we found it a bit uncomfortable. Could be bigger for £300 a night room. Bathroom was clean with a great walk in shower. But we would certainly stay there again with pleasure. Well done to all the staff who made our brief stay a pleasure.

1st impressions this hotel is warm and cosy, checking in was quick & easy the front of just staff were lovely giving plenty of information about the hotel. Beautiful room clean and luxurious. Couldn't wait to relax and have a bath after a busy weekend. Evening meal was tasty, service was brilliant. We sat in the courtyard which was tranquil. After an extremely comfortable night's sleep and a lovely lie in we went down for breakfast plenty of choice the homemade granola and yogurt was delicious 😋 I had an omelette and my husband had the full English both were delicious and tasty. Check out was straight forward. If we visit Oxford again we would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The whole experience was absolutely amazing. The reception staff are so friendly and helpful then we went to our room wow it was beautiful spotlessly clean and fresh milk in the fridge for your coffee or tea . (I hate uht milk ) . The bar and restaurant staff are so friendly nothing is to much trouble. The food and drinks were fantastic infact the whole stay was wonderful I would 100% recommend The Old Parsonage it's just the best x

Excellent location ..couldn’t be more central. Staff were really warm and welcoming without exception. Couldn’t do enough for guests. Car space included which was well organised with a dedicated space for the duration of our stay. Room very good facilities, coffee, selection of teas. A nice touch was the fresh milk in the fridge with complementary water, mini bar, tv with sky, comfortable bed, lovely view and very clean. Bathroom was excellent, big bath and amazing shower…spotless. Breakfast really nice, had a very good vegetarian breakfast as well as a lovely full English. The bread was delicious . Fresh fruit juices . Just very good. Room service was also very fast and efficient. Restaurant is also excellent , had dinner on first night and couldn’t fault it.

We spent 3 nights in room 11. The hotel offers parking and is in a perfect location to explore Oxford. Every effort was made from the moment we arrived to ensure our stay was perfect. All the staff were helpful and offered exceptional customer service. A special mention for Thais who welcomed us on arrival and made sure we were totally happy with our accommodation. Very impressive. The room was light , the bed was very comfortable and we overlooked the high street which gave a lovely view of the church and surrounding buildings. We had no issues with street noise. Breakfast was delicious with wide choice and we had dinner in the restaurant which we can also highly recommend. Top class hotel, Should visit Oxford again, we would not hesitate to book in at 'the old bank hotel '

Regarding breakfast: Service was a wow. The entire staff seemed happy to be there and very welcoming. Food was excellent. Regarding rooms: spacious, bright, modern, clean, great views, wonderful shower. Regarding dinner: we enjoyed a lovely dinner in the outdoor courtyard. Staff at the whole property (desk, housekeeping, restaurants) is terrific.

I went to Exeter College and hadn't been back to Oxford in 20 years. I came for a visit with my wife and decided to stay at Old Bank on High St with my wife as a treat (celebrating her birthday). I had walked by the hotel many times as a student but never went in. It was fantastic--highly recommended. Many things we liked: staff was prompt, professional, friendly, checked us in early and promptly, upgraded us for wife's birthday and left nice card and cakes for her in the room, beautiful artwork throughout property, nice restaurant and bar, very comfortable, had an amazing view of the Radcliffe Camera, even lent us electrical converters.

We stayed for one night and wish we’d had longer. We received a very warm welcome and could check in a little earlier. We stayed in room 33 which looks over the back of the hotel. The room was spotless, bed was comfortable with high quality linen. A fully stocked minibar/fridge. Shower was possibly the best I’ve ever had. Food in the restaurant was delicious - as were the cocktails. I can’t fault it!

The room was super clean and comfortable, the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful (special shoutout to Victor, who welcomed us on arrival with orange juice, and was super nice and helpful, then and later). Info about buses, sights to see in Oxford, and even a map were provided. The location was excellent, steps away from the bus stop, and within walking distance of shops and eateries in Summertown. The bed was comfortable, & the shower had great water pressure. Soaps, shampoos, & lotions were all supplied, as well as coffee, a variety of teas, and even cookies and chocolate! The breakfast was really outstanding - many choices - all delicious, homemade and mostly organic. My favorites were the Marmalade Omelette and the homemade granola , yogurt, and bread.

Great room the Queen 2. Clean and tidy coffee and tea. Biscuits and chocolates each day if you eat them of course.. Breakfast was also excellent great choice. Staff were both helpful and friendly. For Oxford bus service great either the S buses or 2. Cost £2 and bus stop just outside the Burlington. Free parking for the car as well. Highly recommended 10/10. We have a great stay. Also nice bar restaurant in Summertown called Joe's Bar and Grill worth a visit food great and staff friendly.

We were made to feel so welcome. Greeted with fresh juice and chilled water on arrival. Everything is spotlessly clean, inside and out. Fabulous breakfasts made to order every morning. Fresh-squeezed orange juice and daily homemade bread were such a treat. Bed linens are perfect. Blackout curtains were perfect. Power shower is amazing. Bathroom and everything in the room is to very high standards. Lovely gardens. Even though our room was small, it was perfect for our stay. We had everything we needed. The staff go out of their way to accommodate every request, and nothing is too much to ask. Our stay was made more memorable because of the staff. We would love to stay here again. Victor is just lovely. Very easy to get to the city centre by bus.

We were warmly welcomed with the offer of juice or water, and then we were shown to our room - our bag was carried too! The room was extremely spacious. The hosts had thought carefully about the decor and it was clean and well presented. The king bed was comfortable. The bathroom was lovely; had a fabulous shower and the underfloor heating was very welcome (January and chilly) so it was amazing to get out of the shower and not feel cold. The breakfast was delicious. I had let them know that I was allergic to dairy and they catered for my needs. My husband had the largest plate of full English so he was a very happy chap! In terms of location, the house is on a busy road, but although we could hear the road in the bathroom, we could not hear it in the bedroom. The bonus about being on this road is that there is a bus stop 2 minutes away and a £2 bus ride into Oxford meant that we could go out and enjoy a drink without having to worry about driving. We would be more than happy to book again if we visit Oxford in the future.

One of the best value for money Guest Accommodation/B&Bs we've ever booked! Free parking had plenty of spaces, easy to find, and no charge. We booked at short notice but the welcome and instructions to get in were still sent quickly and were very easy to follow (we arrived after reception had closed). The whole place was decorated beautifully, room was modern, clean, had tea & coffee, toiletries, nice towels, etc. We didn't use them but reception had a microwave, fridge, and cutlery, which we thought was a good idea. Breakfast was AMAZING with a lovely cold buffet, and a very tasty cooked breakfast, all included in the price. One of our favourite places and will definitely re-book if/when we come back to Oxford. Thanks.

When we arrived it was very busy in the restaurant but the staff still booked a taxi (and recommended the bus to return) into Oxford which was a great help. The room was a great size and lovely and warm after the cold weather. The bed was very comfy and the room had everything we needed. The bathroom was large and the shower was one of the best we've ever used at a hotel. We only stayed one night and ate in the restaurant. The bar is very comfy and cosy with an open fire. The restaurant was brilliant with great choices to eat. We both had 3 courses as we were celebrating. The food was served quickly and was all very tasty. There was also a great selection of wine and drinks at the bar. We'd told them that I was celebrating ending my chemotherapy treatment and they knocked the price of a bottle of wine off the bill which was a lovely touch and really made me feel special. Breakfast was also very good. Lots of choice and cooked fresh, to order. All of the staff that we came into contact with were welcoming and helpful. We will definitely return.

The Black Boy is located in a very quaint residential street. There are bus stops and shops and restaurants about a five-minutes' walk away. The Airline shuttle stops at Headington Shops bus stop too. The rooms were renovated in 2019. The bed was comfy and the bathroom eas very modern and clean. They restock mineral water, coffee, milk, tea and cookies every day. We took the bus into town and back and all around Oxford and even to Woodstock. The bus drivers are very helpful and buses come quite often. We never waited more than 5 minutes. At breakfast there's a choice of 5 delicious dishes (including full English!), hot beverages and orange juice. Everything we had was fantastic. The staff is really friendly and helpful. We'd love to stay at the Black Boy again!

Quiet, out of the way but near the university we were visiting. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and they an accommodated us for dinner when well booked for valentines. Dinner and breakfast menus had amazing choice. Really helpful staff who helped advise on public transport routes. Lovely country village inn style place tucked away not far from all amenities of busy high street. Perfect place to stay away from the “no car” city, but have access to visit by nearby park and ride or bus services. Very good value. Decor of room and bathroom was lovely. I’d visit again.

This is a lovely thoughtfully styled hotel. The staff are all genuinely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Decent water pressure in the shower. Generous supply of tea/coffee in room. Variety of tasty options on the dinner menu. The Full English Breakfast is a must have. Good central location for sightseeing. Would highly recommend and definitely would return.

We booked because we were invited to a wedding in Oxford, however my husband was unable to attend. On my own, l found the inn easily and the hosts were really helpful and friendly on my arrival and throughout the stay. The location was ideal , pretty, quiet and felt safe, while only a short walk to the stop for frequent buses to the centre. I enjoyed my breakfast and found the accomodation relaxing, clean and comfortable with a generous supply of milk and tea in the room. There was no noise from the bar in the late evening. I sadly missed the special live music session on the Sunday afternoon and was unable to try the evening meals in the restaurant . I enjoyed watching the swifts nesting under the eaves the house next door and having a beer in the garden.

From the moment we arrived to the bright and welcoming pub we had an exceptional experience. Steve, the manager immediately gave us a free upgrade to the wedding suite which was massive with a comfortable king sized bed, huge bathroom with roll top bath and a large walk in shower. It even had air conditioning which was needed as it was a hot summer evening. We had a delicious dinner in the pub surrounded by friendly and chatty locals. The pub shut at 10pm that evening and it was super quiet when we went up to our room. The next morning a fantastic breakfast, we opted for the full veggie and the coffee was sublime. Steve and his staff went above and beyond to be helpful and were all very friendly. The whole place was very clean and I cannot fault the stay at all. In the centre of Woodstock, we loved walking around after breakfast and finding the hidden gems of antique shops, home made icecream and independent boutiques and coffee houses. The Crown is a real gem, we would highly recommend.

We stayed at the Crown for one night as we were attending Nocturne at Blenheim Palace and it was the perfect location. Our room was spacious, beautifully styled and a super comfy bed. Loved the bathroom products (especially the toothbrushes as I forgot mine) and once we’d worked out it was cafetière coffee, not instant, we enjoyed our hot drinks. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Nice atmosphere in the bar, staff friendly and helpful. And our breakfast was amazing! We would definitely stay here again.

We had a very comfortable stay. Arriving after a long drive with our 4 month old we had a wonderful greeting from the team who couldn’t be more helpful bringing all our luggage (no travelling light with a baby!) and upgraded us for free to their largest room, room 4, as it was available. The room was spacious, nicely designed and had con, a huge king size bed with a spacious clean bathroom and shower. The staff were all extremely friendly and we slept very well. The included breakfast in the morning was fresh and tasty. We would absolutely stay again and really pleased with our decision to stay at the Crown. We enjoyed walking the paths of Blenheim palace just minutes away from the front door and the entire village was picturesque.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Marlborough Arms and in Woodstock and would love to stay again! It was well kept, full of character, clean, quiet and comfy. The staff were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. The breakfast was delicious and we were able to order drinks from the bar after we got back from dinner in the town. A really lovely and peaceful stay! We had everything we needed in our room including a nice coffee machine and kettle. The bathroom was well equipped with nice toiletries and a good shower, too.

Friendly and helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. Lovely sitting area by the bar with a log burner; we could have sat there the whole evening just relaxing. Our twin room felt newly refurbished and fresh. The beds were very comfortable with enough pillows and blankets if needed. The ensuite bathroom was spacious with a great size shower. The breakfast had plenty on offer. You can choose from full English, pancakes with bacon or fruit, mashed avocado on brown bread, or a porridge. In addition to that, there were other breakfast items available on a buffet. The service was absolutely fantastic. Marlborough Arms is located in the centre of Woodstock. There are several restaurants nearby, as is Blenheim Palace. There is a private car park at the back of the building.

The superior double room was excellent, spacious and spotless with a wonderful walk in shower room. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, pillows too! Usual facilities for making hot drinks in the room plus bottles of filtered water. The front of the inn faces west and gets the evening sun. The breakfast room is at the back of the building and gets the sun in the morning. Location convenient for shops, pubs and restaurants in Woodstock as well as visiting Blenheim Palace. Excellent cold breakfast buffet as well as cooked options - I had perfectly soft boiled eggs & soldiers after a dish of yogurt and fresh fruit salad. Very helpful staff and swift service. On site parking at the back of the inn. Ambience similar to a country house with a bar for residents only.

perfectly located for our trip to Blenheim Palace. Small car park on site. Was originally a old coaching Inn with lots of original features.our room (3) was very spacious and comfortable. Small espresso machine with coffee pods provided. kettle and teas provided. Very clean bathroom ( with shower). The water is all softened so lovely. Breakfast was nice. Cooked breakfast made to order plus buffet. Very friendly , attentive,pleasant staff.

The rooms were big and had lots of space to unpack everything. The bathroom had a walk in shower and complimentary shower gel/shampoo/conditioner set up in dispensers. The reception area had separate areas to sit in small groups - costly sofas or table spaces. Staff are friendly, helpful and ensure you are happy with everything. The breakfast is an amazing - there is a great buffet and you can order a hot breakfast all included in your room cost. The location is bang in town with other options for pubs/Inns to have drunks/food. Fantastic Indian restaurant one minute walk away too! Free parking onsite or over the road. Access to Blenheim Palace via town too - short walk to get to the grounds. Overall Woodstock is a picture perfect village and great location. Very highly recommended.

The Duke of Marlborough was in the perfect location for visiting Blenheim Palace, Oxford and the surrounding Cotswold villages. Our twin room was warm and cosy and generally clean, with only a few cobwebs but nothing to offend! Beds were comfy. The room and bathroom had everything you need, hairdryer, iron and ironing board in cupboard and a fan, not that we needed it in February! The pub, adjacent to the rooms was friendly and welcoming with a sitting area near a wood burner and plenty of tables. Food and drinks were excellent and the breakfast options were great. We ate there two out of our three nights, the fish and chips was top quality! Highly recommend and we would go back if we were looking for something in this area again.

Had a very comfortable overnight stay. Large room with all the amenities needed to make it a pleasing stay. Great bar and restaurant onsite so we didn’t need to venture into town (about a mile and a half away) for dinner. Breakfast was fantastic with locally sourced quality produce. Only slight criticism was with the shower being a low pressure and not allowing me to keep the tap out to run the overhead shower - just the handheld.

A really lovely place,cosy and welcoming,we stayed in one of the lodges next to the hotel,it was so lovely really big comfy bed beautiful bathroom and sofa,lovely views from the windows,spotlessly clean.The staff were very friendly and helpful,food lovely.

We were very pleased with our choice for a 2 night stay. We loved the decor. The staff are super-friendly and helpful and adhere to COVID regulations, the room was clean and comfortable (great mattresses), really good breakfast and excellent coffee. After driving round the Cotswolds for 3 days, we hadn’t realised what a treat it was to have on-site parking! Great location for the S3 bus route and Woodstock is 4 minutes away by bus.

Excellent stay. Team were fantastic, friendly and welcoming. Newly refurbished room was clean, spacious and lovely bathroom. Ideally located for an hour's gentle stroll to Blenheim Palace. Ate in the pub at night, food was delicious and the breakfast is excellent too. Highly recommend.

We initially booked 3 nights and extended for one more. The location is perfect to reach the city centre - bus stop is literally one minute away, with several buses available. Short walk to Summertown where you can find a good selection of restaurants, shops and cafes. The room was spacious, beautiful decorated and very clean, comfortable bed, modern bathroom with a great tub & shower combo, toiletries and towels warmer; the mini-kitchen is very helpful for breakfast and light / left-over dinners. Our room had a big window facing the street, and we enjoyed having breakfast every morning, sitting on the comfy chairs and watch the world go by. There is an option to purchase breakfast through the hotel, however, we preferred to stop by a supermarket and pick up some basics. Kavita and Anita are very nice and friendly ladies, and we will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Oxford.

We were in Oxford for a congress. The atmosphere in the hotel very good, it is a family run hotel, and they make you feel like family. They are so friendly! You can ask them anything! Very helpful, they provided us with good information about both the hotel as well as the area and other sightseeiing tips, tips for where to eat, rent a bike, etc. The room and bathroom were large and clean,and cosy, with a frigde and sink qnd microwave . A nice bath and shower; Beds were comfortable, we slept really well. Daily roomcleaning. There are many busses, untill late at night, bring you back to the hotel in 10 minutes from the citycenter. Very convenient, and a quiet place. 5 minutes walk from the hotel brings you to the area 'Summertown' with nice shops, restaurants, bard.

Excellent location, close to restaurants and central Oxford and has parking. Room was very quiet and spacious, beds extremely comfortable and the shower was fabulous! Lovely, calm feel to the guest house with a soothing Himalayan salt lamp and a lovely gentle stretching guide for those wanting some light exercise and relaxation. Staff very helpful and room was warm, well equipped kitchenette.

The room was cozy and clean. My breakfast items were stocked daily with quality items and I loved having a kitchenette in my room. The staff were exceptionally nice and made sure my questions and requests were taken care of. My room was not on the main road, so it was very quiet. The location was convenient and near my auntie. If I needed to go to town, the buses were convenient and only a short distance to the city center. I will absolutely stay there on my next visit!

Excellent location for us. Quiet, good transport links into the centre, or walkable through lovely North Oxford, or even along the canal. Large room, clean, nicely decorated, with the bonus of a well equipped kitchenette, with microwave and fridge, so making your own drinks or basic breakfast is easy. Friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely stay there again.

Just returned from this beautiful place in Oxford THE STORE! Was here to attend a wedding and everything about this hotel is as good as it can be. The place has a beautiful decor , it’s chic and stylish. They made every effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The staff here were exceptionally attentive and helpful. From reception to bar to the restaurant, they add a beautiful touch to your overall experience. I would also like to mention Rahul, he was always there to help us for any minor inconvenience. The bar also serves some amazing cocktail ranges like La Rose , the bartender Finn was also lovely to talk to! Nevertheless the restaurant also didn’t disappointed us with the perfect cauliflower and amazing and attentive service by Ananya. This place is a must visit if you are planning to come to Oxford!

The Store is an excellent hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 night stay. My room was higher up with a very limited view, but it was such a lovely spacious and comfortable space I didn't mind. The bed was super comfortable. The toiletries were lovely, and the bath robe was very comfy. The location is excellent, right in the middle of town and very easy walking distance to everything of interest. The Gloucester Square bus station is a short walk away. Breakfast was great with freshly cooked options as well as standard cereals, pastries, etc. The wine selection was good and small meals available in the very comfortable bar area were very tasty. Every staff member was super friendly and helpful, both at reception and in the downstairs bar area.

Lovely Hotel in central Oxford close to many attractions. Although facing the main road the rooms are tripple glazed and very quiet. The room are bright, clean and comfortable and the hotel provides some nice extra touches in the room. The Hotel has a modern feel and is thoughtfully furnished. The Rooftop bar is nice and I think in warm weather you can sit outside on a terrace. We went in March so sat inside. For breakfast there is a Buffett and an breakfast menu for hot items. I think there could be a few more choices at the Buffett but everything was fresh. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. We definitely will be back Thank you

Just returned from a wonderful stay at The Store! We were welcomed at the door and helped with our luggage. All of the staff from reception to the restaurant were polite and helpful to my sister and I and visiting daughter with baby. We were delighted to be upgraded in our room choice and the room was quiet and comfortable with amazing views over Oxford from the terrace. The facilities in the room were excellent with no extra charges. The breakfast was delicious and the whole hotel had an informal helpful atmosphere. We will definitely return!

From our first email exchange to make reservations to the moment we walked out the door after storing our luggage, we experienced true hospitality in our five-night stay at The Store. Jovita was especially helpful on multiple occasions - and our breakfast server Vesle knew our orders after one day. Our rooms were comfortable, clean, spacious and cool (important during the summer). Our youngest had a great experience in the spa with a shoulder and neck massage. The bar staff were friendly and attentive. I recommend the house gin as well as the complementary pink fruit juice near the reception desk. Our lone complaint was some confusion about whether breakfast was included with our rooms (it was, and unfortunately took several days to sort out). Everything else was spectacular. We especially loved the convenient location of the place - steps away from much of Oxford’s great attractions. We are already planning our next trip to Oxford and The Store will be a part of those plans.

We chose The Chequers as a mid point meeting place with friends. The rooms were clean and well decorated with large bathroom and, mini bar, coffee machine even an ironing board and iron! The pub/restaurant is comfortable and relaxing with interesting decor. What made our stay was the welcoming staff from check-in staff to bar staff to the breakfast waitress. Everyone was fabulous and made us all feel very welcome. The food was also of a high standard, with dietary requirements happily facilitated. We had dinner and breakfast the next morning. Both were excellent.

Had a fab weekend stay here meeting up with an old uni friend. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was modern, fridge and kettle, etc, in the room. Good choice of options for breakfast which was included in my room rate. Food was excellent in the restaurant, but it was busy and so I'm glad we booked a table in advance. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Everything. Room was spacious and had the key essentials. Bed was comfortable. Quiet. Big parking space. Restaurant pricing and the food selection and food itself was very good. Cocktails and wine delicious. Staff very attentive and friendly. Distance from Oxford 15 minutes by car. A wonderful stay. Would highly recommend.

The Chequers at Burcot had an excellent restaurant, with a delicious menu and wine list, set in a character filled, thatch-roofed building. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was convenient for us. The owners (I presume) were very friendly and hospitable, and we were offered a welcome drink to enjoy by the fire, before dinner. Although our trip was for work, staying at The Checkers was a treat that made us feel like we were on a holiday. We liked it so much, we stayed a second night.

Beautiful period inn with lovely features. Room was in an annexe, modern clean and cosy with nice shower room. Staff and the chef were very welcoming, helpful and made our stay relaxing and friendly. The room was not only clean and big but also decorated very comfortable way. There was a big window so our dog could see outside view. The bathroom was also very clean and nice. The foods were excellent! We very much enjoyed a dinner at the table in the pub with accompanying of our dog. The atmosphere of the pub was very cosy. The breakfast under the morning light in the restaurant was a good start of the day. The manager and stuffs were all very friendly and kind. We definitely recommend this property!!!

Great location which was easy to get to. The room was clean and spacious. We had dinner in the pub which was really nice fires, cosy log fires and pleasant beer. Breakfast in the morning was equally as good. Nice to have breakfast cooked to order rather than the buffet breakfast.

The whole place was just lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was large with a massive comfortable bed and the two portable tower fans were much needed after a very hot day. Bathroom lovely and modern and exceptionally clean. Dinner and breakfast was lovely.

We stayed for one night as we needed a dog friendly hotel close to family. From the moment we arrived we were impressed! The welcome was warm and informative. The room was lovely, cosy and comfortable. It was clean throughout and everything we needed was there. We had dinner in the hotel's restaurant and were served in a beautiful dining room which was warm and cosy. My partner ordered the steak and requested for it to be 'blue'. Jonathan came out and explained that they would not be able to cook it as requested but that he had asked that the chef make it as rare as possible and that if my partner wasn't happy with it then he would change it for him. As it happens, the steak was great and the peppercorn sauce was the best we've ever had. The pecan pie was also absolutely scrumptious. Breakfast in the morning was tasty, organised and the staff were very attentive. We would most definitely stay here again and may well return just to dine. Jonathan was attentive, welcoming and made a difference to the whole stay. Thank you!

John was great! So friendly and amazing service! From the minute we arrived he was super helpful and made us feel right at home. Thank you so much for making our stay so great! Breakfast waitress was amazing. We were a little late for breakfast on our last morning but just made it before 9, she was lovely and happy to help! Nothing was too much fuss! Dinner staff were awesome! Helpful and very attentive! Chefs cooking is amazing and would definitely recommend to anyone passing through! The rooms were amazing and clean. We will definitely be back again!!!

The staff were all very welcoming and friendly to the dogs. The room we were allocated , 22, was very convenient being on the ground floor of the cottage annexe with very easy access to the outside. The room itself was spacious with a very efficient powerful shower which we appreciated. It was a nice touch having dog beds, bowls, towels and treats in the room. The heating was very efficient and the room was ,if anything, slightly too warm despite turning the radiator down. The bathroom had rather dated decor but was a good size. There was an area on the bedroom wall with some bare plaster which looked a bit out of place. The food was all of an excellent standard and the restaurant was dog friendly. In some ways a little too dog friendly as the people at the adjacent table allowed their dogs on the seats and did not have them on leads which was difficult for us especially as one of the dogs approached the puppy at breakfast which he didn’t like, so we put our dogs out in the car.The location is excellent with easy access to dog walk on the water meadows and walking distance to the Abbey and two other local pubs. Also within easy reach of other local dog walks such as The Wittenham Clumps and near interesting towns such as Henley on Thames and Oxford. Overall we felt out stay was good value for money at the offer rate of £85 for bed and breakfast and the meal prices in the restaurant were also reasonable . If we were visiting the area we would certainly come back again.

Lovely cozy bar with log burner - perfect for a winters evening. Food and wine at dinner was delicious - particularly the homemade crisps, whipped goats cheese, truffle fries and pecan pie. Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty with a good choice of items. Our room was very tasteful, super clean and comfortable. Service was very friendly too. Can’t wait to go back

The room was very clean with a comfortable bed, tea & coffee making facilities, the building is very old so you have to accept the odd thing but overall it was excellent accommodation The bar and restaurant are very nicely furnished and has a lovely relaxing appeal with the oak beams and décor The staff are very friendly and helpful and we received a warm welcome when we arrived. What a great three day break we had in Oxford, staying at voco Oxford Thames was a great choice. On arrival the ambience of the hotel was self evident and all staff were very helpful and attentive. Our room was extremely large and very comfortable and the bottle of wine on arrival was gratefully received and a nice touch. We chose to have a lunch and my goodness what a plate full it was. The roll, salmon and chips with salad were delicious. The evening meals had a great choice too and were very well presented and cooked to perfection. We both liked the fact that we were not rushed between courses as you are in some restaurants. The decor of the hotel was very warm and inviting and easy to have conversations with other people who were also enjoying their time. This is not a grumble, more a case of today's reality, the 'drinks' menu was great, but the prices were quite high. The only thing that the hotel may consider in the future is a jacuzzi in the swimming pool area. Fantastic break thank you and we shall definitely staff again when we visit Oxford and would definitely recommend Hotel. Thank you.

Used this gem of a hotel as a base for a few days on holiday to explore the area. The location is great. You really feel like you are far away in a rural setting. The gardens and river are wonderful. We stayed in a river view room and benefitted from our private terrace with the weather perfect to sit out and have a drink after a long day of sightseeing. Room was quiet, had good air conditioning, and a wonderfully comfortable bed. Bathroom could have been a little more spacious (with a separate walk in shower) but it was clean and functional. Bar in lobby was very pleasant and restaurant was good. Food was good, though not excellent, service was good and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, hash browns are amazing! Again service friendly and efficient. Pool is great and was quiet and pleasant both times we used it. Staff all over were very friendly and helpful. The hotel entrance is right next to a bus stop where you can get bus into Oxford in 20 mins. This was really handy especially when we decided to go explore or eat dinner in the city. Easy to get tickets via bus company app. Great all day ticket for only £5. Only negative would be fact they charge over £7 for parking per night. I would think for location parking would be complementary for hotel guests. Overall, a great hotel, well worth a stay if you are looking for a base to explore area (Oxford, Highclere, Blenheim etc). Would highly recommend.

I stayed at voco Oxford Thames with my family to celebrate my 60th birthday, and it was a really lovely experience from start to finish. The hotel has a lot of character, with a peaceful setting right by the River Thames. You can really feel the history in the buildings, and the grounds are perfect for a quiet walk — we enjoyed wandering along the river and taking in the views. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything feel relaxed and easy. Breakfast was brilliant each morning — plenty of choice, fresh food, and served in a calm, welcoming atmosphere. We also used the spa, which was a real treat. It was clean, quiet, and a great place to unwind. The facilities were well looked after, and it added an extra touch of luxury to the whole stay. Our room was comfortable and well-equipped, and the shower was wonderful — powerful, hot, and just what you need after a long walk or a spa session. It’s a small detail, but it really made a difference. The hotel had a calm, countryside feel while still being close enough to Oxford to explore if you wanted to. It was the perfect spot for a family celebration — peaceful, comfortable, and full of charm. I’d happily go back and intend to

We had a wonderful stay at voco Oxford Thames! The room was lovely, with a beautiful view and a spotless bathroom. The swimming pool was very clean, and the staff member on duty on Saturday night was extremely kind and polite. Special thanks to Daniela and Heet, who were friendly, respectful, and attentive throughout our stay. They made us feel welcome and comfortable from the first night until our last day. Breakfast was another highlight — the delicious food and the stunning view made our mornings so relaxing and enjoyable. The breakfast staff were also very kind and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, our experience was amazing! This hotel is truly fantastic and made our holiday very special. We will definitely return and highly recommend it to others.

We booked our stay last minute and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice when we arrived. We were very lucky with the weather and when we drew up in the car, the hotel was so picturesque. Inside we were welcomed by the lovely Kayley and Jess on reception , who were so friendly and polite but in a relaxed manor which made you feel comfortable. They talked us through our stay and what our ‘love Sunday’ deal included. Our stay included, a cream tea, dinner, bed and breakfast. Also because we joined the IHG membership, which was free, they explained we could have an earlier check inn and later check out. On a sunny day, the courtyard is very relaxing and pretty, and we had our lunch served by the lovely Darymer. We were so impressed with how professional, friendly and welcoming all the staff were. The food was delicious and so well presented and as part of our deal, was incredible value. The bedrooms were clean and the bedding was so soft and comfortable. In the bedroom we’re all the amenities you needed, hairdryer, ironing board and iron, and tea and coffee making facilities. We came away from a 24 hour stay feeling like we’d truly relaxed and were so happy with our choice of hotel.
