Only stayed one night for work. Had a four poster bed and jacuzzi bath absolutely lovely, design is old but how it should be very lovely, usb ports plenty of plugs, WiFi work. Only complaint is I waited an hour for room service and food was luke warm.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My stay at the New Continental Hotel in Plymouth was absolutely fantastic. Everything from the moment I arrived was superb. The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with modern decor and all the amenities I needed. The leisure facilities – the indoor pool, sauna, steam room and gym – were excellent and well maintained. Breakfast at Steve’s Brasserie was delicious, with a wide choice of fresh, tasty food. The location is ideal: central, with easy access to shops, the theatre, and the waterfront. I couldn’t find anything that really went wrong — it was just a very satisfying stay. Highly recommended, and I’d happily stay here again!

We had a truly pleasant stay at the New Continental Hotel in Plymouth. From the moment we arrived, the charm of the hotel was evident—beautiful original features have been thoughtfully maintained, giving it real character, while everything remains modern, clean, and well cared for. Lovely big room with high cieling. Very comfortable. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the pool, steam room, and sauna after a day out exploring. It was the perfect way to unwind. The highlight in the morning was the lovely full English breakfast—fresh, tasty, and served in a welcoming setting. Overall, a great experience. We'd happily return!

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Great location. Had a first class experience from check in to check out. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Room was super clean, excellent facilities, bed was very comfortable with fresh and soft bed linen. Room had everything you would need. I liked the quirky corridors of the hotel. Used the bar area which again was a really nice experience. I also used the spa facilities again like the rest of the hotel was well laid out and extremely clean. Pool was a generous size as was the steam/sauna area. Never used the gym but looked well laid out. Spa staff were very welcoming and friendly. Good size carpark. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a lovely experience. 🥰🥰

I had a lovely stay at the New Continental Hotel in Plymouth. I booked a standard double room with a jetted bathtub, and it exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and relaxing environment. The jetted tub was a great touch—perfect for unwinding after a long day. Overall, a great experience with friendly staff and good amenities. Would definitely recommend for a comfortable city stay!

The rooms are warm& cosy,beds were very comfortable, we had 3 rooms for our family, everyone loved spotless white bedding& towels, tea/coffee making, room service exceptional, nothing too much trouble, friendly& helpful ladies, Breakfast was lovely cooked to order, Restaurant manager Toshi was very attentive, and friendly, We would highly recommend The Cornish Arms , All the staff were excellent.

The bedroom itself was very clean and well equipped (tea, coffee machine, hairdryer etc) ; the bed was lovely…king size…but this tended to dominate the room, so there wasn’t much space around it. I noticed for example that a ‘fridge’ was promised but that in fact there would have been nowhere to put it. Also, only one chair. Bathroom was good except for one detail (see below). The staff throughout were excellent. Our host at breakfast was friendly and attentive without being too intrusive. The bar and restaurant staff were all extremely helpful and efficient. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was excellent. Lots of local produce beautifully cooked and very much recommended. Car parking was good and this always helps. Very centrally positioned hotel….easy to nip in and out of the town in the course of the day.

The room was very comfortable with a huge king sized bed and a coffee machine - most welcome, with fresh milk available from the bar. We also loved the shower with its two "heads". The breakfast was probably the best we have ever had at an inn or hotel. The Cornish Full Breakfast was incredible, ditto the yoghurt with fruit and granola. Our breakfast host was extremely helpful and friendly. We also loved the fact the rooms were named after animals and birds, making ours a very "pheasant" visit!

Room well designed and spacious - its name was "Toad". All the things we needed were provided. Mattress exceptionally comfortable and room was quiet. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, lots of choice and very tasty. Location perfect for wandering aound Tavistock and easy acess to Dartmoor and Cotehele. We has dinner in the restaurant and it was fabulous.

Highly competent and courteous manager for booking accommodation and meal for my wife and I, and two relatives. Comfortable bed, bedroom and good shower. Excellent food - both evening meal and breakfast- and most generous quantities. Coffee etc in room with fresh milk a bonus. Exceptional parking facility. Good, vibrant atmosphere. Welcoming bar. Customer service exemplary. Great stop for us en route to Cornwall from London or vice- versa.

The room had a river view and we had a balcony. It's quite a unique viewpoint of the Brunel rail bridge and the river. (This does not make it noisy) We were also able to go for a walk onto the bridge. The room was clean with tea and coffee facilities and everything we expected to find. We were very pleased with the home cooked breakfast, which had a wide choice and was served in the breakfast room with a view over the river. Parking next to the pub was easy. This is advertised as an inn and is not trying to be a luxury hotel so I felt it was extremely good value for money.

Easy check in, just popped into bar to say hello, and was shown to room. Guest information book given on arrival with kitchen times, emergency info etc. Door is key lock not card. Excellent value for money on evening meals with great mixed grill & tasty Hunters chicken. Good sized potions. Good selection of drinks both alcoholic and non. Menu choices for breakfast, but Full English sets you up for the day, or continental if required- vegetarian options. Few stairs (which may pose issue if you have mobility problems) to top rooms- no lift as older property and has no room, but beautiful views from standing room only balcony. Clean bathroom & bedroom which gets serviced everyday, and blackout blinds that worked great. NO HAIRDRYER in rooms, but can get from bar. Very friendly and helpful team, and a lovely cosy pub attached. Loved the secondhand books available, which you could purchase for a charitable donation. Parking to side of & in front of inn. Never had an issue getting a space. Bus stop outside of door for Plymouth. (the photo is the view from room no 7)

This was a last minute booking, despite a busy Friday the staff were excellent on arrival, and bar staff friendly and fab all evening. Lovely atmosphere and pleasant friendly locals and tourists. We didn’t eat in the evening but it looked great ( I recommend booking as was busy ). breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. Room was great and loved the views, comfy bed, good hot drinks selection, decent shower and quiet. In fact the only noise was a guy singing with locals downstairs and then I realised that guy was me :). perhaps I should of ate he he. Was good fun. Highly recommended and a genuine rare 10/10 from me.

The location was great with amazing views. It was great having a balcony. The property and room were spotless and furnished to a high standard. Very thick & fluffy towels. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower was lovely. There was a folder containing all the info you need to know about the property, which so many other properties just don't seem to provide these days. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating at all times. Our evening meal was delicious and well presented, and so too was the breakfast. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. It is across the road from the Tamar River so location is excellent. The bar closes by 9pm so noise was not an issue. The food, both breakfast and dinner was plentiful and delicious

Very cosy and stylish hotel situated in Barbican area and literally 1 min away from the sea. The breakfast was delicious. There was not only a fruit/cereal/pastry buffet, but also a proper sit down breakfast (we had 6-7 options to choose from). Overall the timetable and the quality of breakfasts were outstanding. The biggest advantage of this hotel though is the staff. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Here you can truly feel being looked after. And there was also a small bonus - absolutely adorable Scottish terrier that apparently lives there and meets everyone who enters the hotel with a friendly sniff

Superb hotel, you will not find a better one in Plymouth. Modern and quirky decor, spotlessly clean rooms with comfy beds. Bathrooms have fluffy towels and beautiful toiletries. The breakfast is high quality and delicious with plenty of choice and cooked fresh, no need to give a time for breakfast. The hard working young couple running this place are a delight, happy to chat if you wish and give advice on the area. You can obtain a parking permit for your stay, which is very helpful. We had no problem finding a space. Just stay here, you will not be disappointed!

Beautifully decorated with unique artwork and antiques, our room was comfortable and quiet: Great for getting a good night's sleep. The property was a short (2 minute) walk to the park and shore-line. Many restaurants were close by, and the cosy bar/lounge in the guest house was charming. High quality breakfast -- choice of cooked or continental -- with freshly baked pastries. We found the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful. We'll certainly put Craft House on our list of "deserves a return visit"

Great location. Run by a very friendly and helpful couple. I arrived early but they helped me to store my luggage until the time of check in. They even put it in my room which was very helpful as I packed way too much . Breakfast was excellent, great choice and very tasty. They recommended me a very nice little restaurant overlooking the ocean, and although it was very simple the food and service as well as the view were amazing.

Ian and Suzy were excellent host .The hotel exceeded my expectations. The little touches were unexpected. Room was comfortable, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was freshly cooked , well presented and delicious. Host Attentive , friendly and helpful.

We visited for our First Year Wedding Anniversary, we were welcomed by balloons and a beautiful hand written note to us on our mirror in the room, which was a really wonderful touch and started our stay off beautifully with an opportunity to have a go on the photobooth in the lobby as a token gift from The Moxy themselves to remember such a special occasion. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, very modern and well presented. It gave a beautiful cosy feeling, and felt like a space for relaxation and down time. Although we had Aircon in the room we were also given a complimentary fan too. Daily, housekeeping tended to our room, working around our belongings, but ensuring everything was clean and tidy, providing fresh towels and again a welcoming fresh space when we returned from exploring Plymouth each day. The staff were wonderful, kind and friendly, we were always met with a smile, and a welcome whenever we returned. Everyone was always on hand to help if needed, and no matter the question or request, it was met with ease and grace. We had breakfast each morning, which was a spread! There was everything from your traditional 'Full English Breakfast', to cereals, meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, warm pastries, juices, hot drinks, ice cold water and much more. Our stay at The Moxy was incredible, we would recommend staying to anyone, it was definitely worth the few hours travel, and is something we will always remember and have fond memories of!

The room was very clean and tidy, very modern and felt cosy and welcoming. We didnt interact too much with staff, however they were friendly and welcoming during check in and check out. Although maybe not the best view, the room had great amenities, a small but spotless bathroom and a comfy bed with AC available. It was also very quiet despite there being a bar area underneath which was great for us! I've stayed here before and it's maintained its high rating from me

We stayed at this hotel as we were going to a show at the Theatre Royal Plymouth and it is a five minute walk away from the venue. The hotel itself is lovely and clean and the staff on check in were friendly. This hotel was very clean as would be expected from a new hotel and the rooms were if a little small, very nice. The bathroom was again small but extremely clean and they actually had proper towels. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I ever had at a hotel and I have to say whoever had the idea of a light under the bed is a genius. If you got up in the middle of the night for whatever reason as you put your feet on the floor a light came on under the bed so you could see where you are going, as I said genius. The breakfast in the morning, although buffet style was hot and enjoyable, however, I do believe the sausages are a little spicy for the British pallet. The only other thing I will say is that if you are looking for a view don't bother with this hotel, the surrounding area is a bit of a dump although it is central. Overall the Moxy is a great hotel.

I stayed at the Moxy Hotel a Marriott Bonvoy brand hotel. The hotel was fine, comfortable and modern. The brand is trendy with an all action ground floor which included games areas, bar, reception, and restaurant, all open plan and clean. The room was fine with a queen size bed, large interactive TV with internet and a comprehensive bathroom with shower and all necessary soaps, shampoos etc. Breakfast included was comprehensive with everything you could wish for and self service. Hotel location quite central and next door to the conference centre where large events, concerts etc are held. There is a large car park next door and an overflow one across the road. Overall well pleased with the hotel which was a reasonable price. First time in Plymouth for 50 Years since I was in the Navy. Not much has changed, the Hoe was lively with Armed Forces weekend being held. The Barbican is still the place to go in the evening albeit much more lively now than 50 years ago. Main reason for visit was to look at Tungsten West, a Tungsten Mine about to open, just outside the city in Hemmerdon. Most impressed. If you want to find out more, look it up.

I travelled to Plymouth to attend a show at the Plymouth Pavilion's. The hotel couldn't be more closer as it is virtually sitting on top of the venue, so this is perfect if you are visiting there. In terms of the city centre it's around a 10-15 minute walk but still ideal. The hotel itself is just WOW. A very modern feel to the hotel when you go throughout the hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was to much for them. We even received complementary drinks (mocktails) on arrival. The hotel was also dog friendly, which was also pretty cool. Lots of board games to play if you want till chill out at the bar. The breakfast at the hotel was also very good, lots to choose from, and they also accommodated for people who are gluten free (big plus here as my partner is), something we were unaware of when booking. We also ordered some food for the room as we didn't get chance whilst out and about in the day. This was also very delicious.

It was awesome will come again. Only disappointed that I was unable to get any appointments in Barn Spa and Jacuzzi / Hottub was out of order which was really disappointing.

The Aqua Spa has a great foot spas, an ice chute for stimulating circulation, a salt steam room, an aroma steam room, a hot spa pool/jacuzzi, heated tepidarium loungers, and experience showers with different settings, we loved it. dinner was great and staff was amazing

Property very clean. Nice facilities & very spacious accommodation. The jacuzzi bath as well as a shower was lovely. The added addition of a mini fridge with a pint of milk in was very thoughtful.

We thought the country club was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed and more. The facilities at the club are great - we loved the pool and slide, the crazy golf course was immaculate and lots of fun, we also played squash and used the spa. We were able to leave our kids (11& 13) on the waterslide and pop in there for a sauna, steam and jacuzzi- we thought it was excellent. The breakfast buffet was particularly loved by our 2 boys and we had a nice evening meal in The Brasserie. Overall we had an excellent stay and we would thoroughly recommend this hotel. We will be back! Thank you

We recently stayed at the China Fleet Club for five nights with our family in a two-bedroom flat, and it was absolutely brilliant. The accommodation was extremely comfortable, and the facilities were of outstanding quality. The beds were cozy, and the kitchen was impressively equipped with everything we needed—truly second to none. The location was perfect: peaceful, away from the town, yet easily accessible. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. The swimming pool was a highlight for our family, especially for our 8-year-old son, who enjoyed it every single night. My husband and I spent a couple of relaxing hours in the aqua spa, which was impeccably clean and well-maintained. All the essentials like shower gel, towels, and cold water were readily available, making it very convenient. Overall, our stay exceeded expectations, and I highly recommend China Fleet Club for a comfortable and enjoyable family getaway.

I was there unfortunately because my husband was in Derriford hospital and had knew I would feel comfortable eating swimming etc.. on my own and very convenient for the hospital. The room was very nice, although a standard room very comfortable spacious and generous bathroom. The staff were outstanding, I couldn’t book dinner as I didn’t know when I would be back but was told they would hold a table until 8.45pm then I could have room service. I had to cancel breakfast 10mins before my booking as had to dash to the hospital and was told that it wasn’t a problem & was give a cup of tea to go. So considerate & understanding. Although I had been before for a spare break and enjoyed all the facilities and restaurants it was still nice to be somewhere that was friendly & comfortable for a very fraught visit.

Beautiful building in lovely grounds. Rooms were clean and comfortable and just the right temperature. Evening meal was very expensive (£350 for 4 people including drinks, but a whole dining experience. Waiting staff very attentive although they did fail to pour the wine towards the end of the evening. Good sized swimming pool in the spa, modern and clean. Breakfast was beautifully presented but this felt odd to have your cooked breakfast piled on top of itself, also meant most of it was covered in bean juice. They also forgot our cups of tea, so it was a long time coming. Good choice of cereal, breads and pastries. Tips were added to the Hotel bill but not specifically highlighted as you go to pay, I had to ask what the extra £30 was. We had already tipped the staff at dinner.

We had an amazing stay at Borington a one night spa break with another couple. staff are extremely attentive friendly and very well-trained without being robotic, The evening meal was outstanding, We were lucky enough to be there when a new menu was being introduced so we had lots of delicious extras. My only complaint would be the breakfast was very disappointing avocado and eggs on toast the avocado was grey and not at all fresh and shouldn’t have been served. but on balance I wonderful experience at Borrington.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time at Boringdon. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The food was excellent in the Mayflower restaurant and the breakfast was also very tasty. We would definitely stay again.

This was a last minute booking as a stopover before our ferry the next morning. We found the place on Hotels.com and were very pleased with the accomodation on our arrival. A beautiful historic hotel, quiet and relaxing. We travelled with our two dogs and were given a courtyard room that allow dogs. Room was very clean and comfortable. Dogs were provided with beds, bowls and some foodie treats. Hotel Restaurant food very good and the spa / pool area also good.

Stayed in the single room. basic decor, nothing fancy but the bed was comfy enough and there was a kettle and water to make tea / instant coffee with a few biscuits as well if you wanted. There was a TV, a sink, a desk with chair and space for hanging clothes with hangers. The heating worked but not required, slept with window open. Room window looked onto front street where my car was parked. The Guest house offered discounted on-street parking which was another plus point £6 from check-in til 10am next morning. This room wasn’t an en-suit (which I was aware of) so toilet/shower was on floor above, this wasn’t a problem for me and the shower was adequate. I ended up extending my stay. Fresh towels provided every day and bed linen changed every day. Full English Breakfast was very good with proper fresh coffee in the pot and nice thick sliced fresh toast. There was also fruit yoghurt and cereal available. The woman running the place serving breakfast and cleaning the rooms etc was very nice, friendly, welcoming and helpful as was another woman I spoke to. It looks like they also offer a discounted price for the Holiday Inn’s fitness suite.

Owner introduced himself upon arrival, a warm welcome offered and first impression in the hallway was clean and fresh accomodation. Keys handed over swiftly, you can come and go as you please and breakfast times given as 8 to 9.30. Room was for 3 guests and was good, fresh bedding and clean and tidy. Had a good nights sleep after exploring Plymouth, bed was firm and hotel very quiet. Shower and toilet clean. Shower was quite powerful ! Plenty of towels and soap/shampoo/body wash on hand. Breakfast was excellent, cereal, fruit, full English quick and piping hot served with a smile in a pleasant large dining room. Parking permits were available (£16 a day out on the street) but Hotel will offer you these for £8 a day - half price ! Great location, great B&B, would use again absolutely !

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and tidy room full of amenities and fresh towels, comfortable bed and generally a cosy atmosphere in the whole place. Had a shared bathroom which was clean, and the shower was warm with great water pressure. Breakfast was quick and tasty, cooking whatever I requested (within reason). Could not fault any part of my stay other than the shared bathroom was the top floor and I was two floors below, but not an issue in my opinion.

very professional. staff was great. Very professional. comfortable. single beds was so relaxed. very clean tidy. great facilities like home from home. Breakfast was really good had everything from cereal / cooked breakfast bacon sausages egg beans toast. /fruit/ yogarts jam everything was really nice. staff was wonderful I'd love to say a big thank you to staff I'd definitely stay again 100.percent spotless could not fault any think you wanna stay there close to ammenaties an shops even beach I'ts fantastic thank you once again brilliant value for money.

Just blown away with this little "gem" of a place. Immaculate interior and exterior. Friendly but minimal contact, as it's ran so efficiently. The room was comfortable, clean and with tea and coffee facilities. Crisp white towels, plenty of shampoo and shower gel and a warm shower. Breakfast was served swiftly and whilst simple it was delicious. Top of the list for B&B perfection.

I arrived early evening at The Caraneal, I was greeted very warmly and welcomed inside; my room was supposed to be on the 1st floor but as I was carrying a lot of luggage I was very kindly and without hesitation moved to a room on the ground floor which was a huge help. The rooms were impeccably clean and well stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits, juice packets for the kids, it was very homely. There was a TV in the room which worked perfectly, a folder with useful information including the breakfast options. The bathroom was really clean and had a lovely design; there were complimentary shampoo and body wash bottles too which came in handy. I slept very well, the bed was very comfy and the room was a lovely temperature when sleeping with the window open. In the morning I was greeted by the staff as I entered the dining room. Tea and toast were very quickly brought out to me as my breakfast order was taken; a selection of marmalade and jams available, as well as juice, cereal and yoghurts. The full English was really tasty and cooked from fresh. The Caraneal exceeds itself and is incredible value for money, the price does not reflect how much attention to detail goes into the customer's stay. I'll be reccomending to friends and family! 10/10!

The Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Veronica and Max are lovely hosts. The room was quite roomy, had a kettle and plenty of tea and coffee to drink. The double bed was quite comfy At breakfast time, there was a section of cereals and fruit, as well as a cooked breakfast. They also had a little entertainment room with comfortable chairs, book case with a variety of books and tv and some dvds. If I ever needed to stay overnight in plymouth again, id gladly come back :)

The location is excellent and well suited for walks along the marina as well as into the city centre. Obviously, transport connections are within easy reach too. Facilities are excellent and the room is cosy and exceptionally clean! Everything in the room is well thought through and the attention to detail is exceptional. Very comfortable bed. Clean bathroom and toilet. Excellent breakfast.

Perfect location close to the sea, a short walk to the Hoe. Parking outside the door with a £5 permit. Veronica and Max were very welcoming. My room was clean and comfortable. The generous tea and coffee selection was very welcome. There was also a delightful residents’ lounge to relax in. It was very quiet and I slept well.

Family run guest-house/hotel with a friendly vibe throughout. Simply furnished, clean and tidy and good value for money. Decent selection at breakfast, near the Hoe, sea front and other amenities. Overall a good budget friendly stay in a friendly welcoming environment.

Lovely modern apartment, very clean and comfortable. Extremely quiet at night . Wonderful precinct with restaurants and bars and ferry transport to nearby Barbican and Mt Edgcumbe. Wonderful place to stay with very helpful welcoming staff.

The whole stay was amazing. The apartment was exceptional everything you will need for a comfortable stay and close to bars and restaurants. The lady I met on booking in was really friendly and helpful.

The Royal William Yard Apartments team was very professional and kindly assigned a very nice apartment to us. The communication prior, during and after our stay was very good and clear. On arrival we met with a very friendly member of staff (thank you Rachel!) and were showed everything we needed to know about the apartment. The apartment offered a stunning sea view and was located in a very quiet side of the building. It was clean and offered everything we needed for a nice stay. Also the Royal William Yard itself offers a nice choice of different restaurants, coffee shops and little shops, just outside is a lovely path along the water's edge. We will definitely consider booking an apartment in this location again on our next trip to Plymouth!

Very comfortable and clean, great views over the marina. Really nice bars and restaurants just a minutes walk from the accommodation but still very quiet.

Stunning location and view - we could have sat in bed or on the sofa all day and not moved. Great having some many restaurants near by. The complex is really well done so the restaurants and shops are “hidden” so you don’t really see them and really feel like you’ve stepped back in time. That is until you walk into the apartment - well equipped, spotlessly clean and spacious. It’s about a mile into Plymouth but quite a nice walk. We didn’t meet many staff but those we did were really nice and efficient. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

on arrival, I checked in at the bar, one of the staff then kindly showed me to the accommodation which was a couple of houses down. the property was an old police station. The rooms were beautifully decorated and extremely clean. great shower. They supplied bottled water next to the bed with lovely glasses to drink from. great tea and coffee facilities in the room too. The bed was so comfortable. I went to have dinner in the bar/restaurant and was met by super friendly staff. The menu was fantastic and good amazing. The locals were also very friendly and made my evening as I was there alone for work. Inwoild definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.

Best pub I have stayed in for years! Rooms situated in adjacent cottage so very quiet. Rooms spotlessly clean and comfortable. Pub served good beer and food in clean and friendly surrounds. Food was of a high standard with a great breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Cannot speak highly enough of this great stay, the warm welcome, the guidance for walks around local areas. The river Yealm walk was incredible. The room and cleaning staff was fabulous. The Breakfast was amazing, as was the Breakfast staff. Bar was something I would expect in a 5 star, quite huge with a huge variety of beverages. The restaurant Menu looked amazing albeit we were eating at a wedding, great reviews from others though. 10/10 we would most definately visit again. Superb place and attention to detail. Elemis products was also a big hit as my Fave! Big thanks to a great Team at the Rose & Crown, Over an above my expectations. Hope to be back again.

great staff could,nt be more helpful breakfast was excellent with a great choice and again staff great, evening meal was just again excellent with our waitress jackie going above and beyond to make things perfect,food we had was one of the best we,ve had in a pub/b/b even down to letting us have an extra member of our family for breakfast,the over night room ( 2nights)was warm clean and very comfy with tea/coffee and nice big tv,we will defo be booking again in the new year when we visit family in elburton. overall a great place to stay.

Dinner was lovely and fresh considering it was a Sunday roast and we ate around 8.30pm it tasted as if it had just been prepared and there was a great selection for breakfast. Room very comfortable and a good size and the staff were amazingly helpful in particular the bar manager who was so helpful from the minute we arrived and the waitress in the evening provided a great service with a smile

I took my husband to the Plymouth Hoe fireworks championships for his birthday and stayed at the Alma hotel that was both convenient for the Hoe and peaceful for a relaxing two day break. The hotel is situated approximately 0.6 m from the centre of town and a frequent bus service right outside runs to the town centre and the Hoe, or if you prefer walking, a very pleasant and straightforward walk through town. The proprietors Tony and Paula were very welcoming, friendly and most helpful. The hotel was pristine, wonderfully comfortable and very quiet. Really loved our room and fabulous bathroom with shower and bath. The breakfast was top notch with both a full English or a really good vegetarian alternative. Can't get much better than this and with free parking space outside

Very friendly and clean place. Hosts were very warm and welcoming. We stayed in the family room and had a comfortable stay. Nice , clean and comfy beds. Clean En-suite Shower and Toilet. Cooked Breakfast was good and we all enjoyed our stay. The location was convenient and parking was free and off road. We would definitely stay here again if we were to visit Plymouth again.

A very comfortable and clean guest house. I booked in for one night and stayed in the triple room, single occupancy. This had everything I needed including a compact but adequate ensuite, tea and coffee making facilities, tv, and bedside radio. The bed was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. However room might seem small if 3 people were staying in the room. There was a good selection for breakfast including cereals, yoghurts, fruits and also choice of cooked breakfast items. The landlady was welcoming and helpful, looking up bus times for me. The B&B is conveniently located on a main bus route and is just a few yards from the nearest bus stop. I had arrived by train and found it easy to find from Plymouth station (about 10 minutes walk). Overall recommended and I would stay there again.

We stayed one night at Alma Lodge Guest House. We had the family room for two of us but not charged extra. The room was specious, quiet and very clean; the beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast (full English breakfast) which was included in the price was delicious. The owners were welcoming and hrlpful. So, overall, I would go back and stay at Alma and I would highly recommend it.

2nd time we have stayed and once again we had friendly, excellent service. The ensuite room was comfortable for 4 with everything we needed for our single night stay (tea, coffee and choccy biccies!). The full (included) breakfast was great, as was the brilliant friendly and helpful service. Absolutely superb, particularly for the price. Thank you Alma Lodge for helping make our daughter's graduation day perfect.

Lovely guest house just a few minutes drive from plymouth international port with easy parking (pay at machine or Ringo app) and just s short walk to the sea front with all its shops bars and pubs. My room was a single and was spotlessly clean with fresh towels in the ensuite shower room along with toiletries etc, the room itself had a comfortable single bed a good sized tv, kettle, hairdryer and tea and coffee. Breakfast was top notch and a good choice is offered with fresh orange tea and coffee as a choice with full english, cereal or continental food. Lovely friendly hosts who where more than willing to go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. I will definitly be using again if staying in plymouth and can highly recommend this guest house.

If you want to experience a quaint British stay, The Mariner's is a wonderful place. Marie and James are the most incredible hosts. They are friendly and so helpful. Our room (with an ensuite) was located on the top floor of this cute victorian seaside rowhouse. James showed his galiant strength by carrying my luggage all the way up to the third floor. God love him. Our toom was clean, spacious and had a lovely English charm. The ensuite is updated with modern amenties. James also does double duty as chef for our morning meal. With Marie acting as host and serve, the two serve wonderful breakfast options from a traditional English breakfast to the today's fashionable egg/avocado toast. Vegetarian breakfast options are also offered. The location is ideal and is in walking distance to the harbour, shops and pubs/restaurants. Overall our 4 day stay was extremely positive and very enjoyable. We highly recommend The Mariner's for your next stay in Plymouth.

Olive was incredibly friendly and helpful on our arrival and during stay. Continental breakfast included in the room was very good. The location is very good: few minutes wake to the coast plus plenty good restaurants; twenty minutes to Barbican; twenty five minutes to Royal William Yard; twenty minutes to the main shopping centre. In stayed in room 4, largest twin bed room with street view, the room was comfortable, clean shower room, although the bed was a bit too soft for us - personal taste really.

Great location and amazing service. The room was comfy and clean with all needed amenities, Olive was a delight and, as a solo female traveler, I felt safe at all times. The hotel is a 2 min walk from the sea, close to the Barbican area with all the restaurants and bars. The stay included a complimentary continental breakfast, which was a great surprise. I was also greeted on arrival with a cold bottle of water for my room, where I also had tea, coffee and a kettle. Would definitely recommend, thank you for a wonderful stay!

I arrived late at about 8:30 p.m. but the hotel staff were very accommodating. I was greeted by a lovely hostess and a large, cold, glass bottle of water, which I had very much needed! I chose the smallest room, which was perfect for me as a solo traveller. It was small, but had good spacious chest of drawers and my own kettle with tea/coffee options. There was a TV as well attached to the wall which I didn't use. Bathroom was clean as well. The location is absolutely fantastic as the city can be explored easily from there. I paid 8 pounds for street parking just opposite the hotel, well worth it and extremely convenient. Overall I had an excellent stay and I must admit a wonderful sleep. The bed was comfy and I wouldn't be surprised if someone told me I was snoring the whole night. Perfect for solo traveller and excellent for the price.
