Voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley is truly an amazing accommodation. The accommodation grounds is huge. There is this long driveway to enter the hotel. My husband and I even joked “welcome to our home” when we entered. They have good facilities: pool, jacuzzi, gym, restaurant, bar. They even have a barn inside with some hogs, chickens and turkeys. The entire stay was good. The room was spacious and clean. The cleaning staff was nice and cleans the whole room and toilet well.

Beautiful property with a lot of facilities (heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, gym, tennis and basketball courts, on site pizzeria) and in close proximity to Hunter valley gardens and various vineyards. Rooms have unobstructed views of the rolling vineyards behind and woke up to see hot air balloons up against the mountains and kangaroos playing in the backyard,

This is our second time here and we really enjoyed our stay. We got a great deal through Qantas Luxury stays which included breakfast, high tea, room upgrade, $100 credit, VIP wine tasting at First Creek and two drinks each at the bar. Our room had a beautiful outlook over the hillside and the bed was very comfortable (to be picky the pillows are quite soft). The breakfast has everything you need including made to order eggs. They have a coffee machine that makes good coffee or you can pay extra for barista made ones. We ate at the bar one night which had woodfire pizza and your typical bar snacks. The service all round was great and the high tea was very lovely - so much food we took some home. I would definitely stay here again - close to some great wineries, easy parking and lovely view. The lobby is so lovely to sit in and relax. Highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway or with kids.

This is a first class hotel. From the minute we checked in we had a superb stay. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious, dinner in the restaurant was fantastic and the bar was a great place to have drinks. We also had pizza there which was delicious. Breakfast was good quality and value for money. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The landscape is stunning providing fabulous views. Highly recommend you stay here.

Saturday night stay in King Valley-View room. Unexpectedly & notably quiet for a weekend night which was very welcome. Character-filled, old-worldy ambience in decor of room. Older bathroom but suited the style & all very clean & practical. I would suggest a wall-mounted vanity mirror be included as mirror area a little dark for shaving/make-up applying. Very comfortable bed & pillows....like sleeping on a cloud. Room was very clean throughout with beautiful views. Unfortunately, we weren't left any slippers with our robes which would have been handy. The verandah partitions are incomplete & so are open to next door's & at one point in the late afternoon, a child walked past a couple of times. Wasn't a big issue but not as private as could be. Overall, a quiet, clean, comfortable stay. The Epoch bar is lovely too with great food & service.

The living room is fully glassed on one side which overlooks a beautiful open space with watering hole. Can see kangaroos coming to the waterhole. beautiful sight. My family enjoyed the jacuzzi after a day at the wineries

The room was absolutely stunning. The views are gorgeous, the villa is huge. Plenty of space and the bed was a fantastic size. The kitchen was big and spacious and had everything we needed. The breakfast provided was also delicious and so fresh. Everything was very clean, the pool was stunning and also clean, the door was an easy access code so no key or check in required. Just lovely. Location is perfect, super central to wineries, eateries etc. Bathroom was also the perfect size. I would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing to not like about these villas. Perfect location, with a lovely bush view from our private villa. Beautifully appointed, immaculately clean, lots of little luxuries to make your stay perfect. Lovely breakfast included in the package with lots of options in the goody basket provided. Cook dinner on your own bbq, while having a sip of wine and watching the sun go down on your private balcony. The picture perfect place for a romantic weekend or week away. Would highly recommend to anyone.

The villa was beautiful and we had a very relaxing weekend away. The pool was amazing and it was so nice to sit on the balcony overlooking the view. Loved the included breakfast and lots of other nice touches. Also very central to lots of wineries, breweries and restaurants. The hosts were also so friendly and helpful! Highly recommend :)

We had an amazing time at Wine Country Villas. Very convenient & central location. Breakfast provisions were very well catered. Everything you need. The view was beautiful. Very clean and comfortable. It was quiet & peaceful. We saw beautiful Geese, birds and Kangaroos. It was a fabulous stay.

We loved how central the accommodation was to everything we came to see, Eg, Hunter Valley Gardens & Hunter Valley Wildlife Park - both were amazing ! Also, there were plenty of wineries and restaurants to choose from nearby. They had a small grocer, deli along with a bottle shop etc at the front of the accommodation which I found very convenient. Our accommodation got upgraded from a Small to a Large 2 Bedroom and it was a lucky surprise !! When we arrived, to our amazement, it was our very own private, spacious, and cozy cottage, tucked away and surrounded by nature with beautiful views! We had a patio that wrapped around the cottage, complete with an outdoor setting, BBQ and a firepitt! Our first morning there, we had little furry visitors outside (kangaroo's) my daughter's had a really great time, and got to play tennis, which was not far from the property. Thank you for a lovely weekend away! We definitely will be back! 😃

We loved it 😍 it is such a good spot, in between amazing and recommendable wineries, reachable on foot perfect to start some tastings a bit further away and end within walking distance ones for us a win-win. We had some Roos in the backyard which I always find amazing. If you want to spot and or take photos of the Milky Way, you're also in the right place. Just a short walk or drive will get you away from light pollution to experience this stargazing romantic night. Our weekend couldn't be more perfect. Very good food just up the road. Amazing coffee at Greg's.. everything you desire close by. 10+ for us And a very friendly receptionist to check us in and out. We will definitely be back.

It was perfectly sized! My children did not want to leave and neither did I! We could easily cook quick and easy meals, make some breakfast, have tea or coffee as everything that we needed was available for use and was clean. We were supplied with fresh cleaning products to use during our stay. Beds were comfortable. I absolutely loved how quiet and peaceful it was! I could not help but sleep in! Due to it being a work trip, I didn’t not get to spend a great deal of time at the cabin, but I absolutely enjoyed every moment I did have. Cessnock is a reasonably close drive for groceries, take out, and other needs. The Hunter Valley Gardens are down the road, as well as the Chocolate Factory that my children got to enjoy! I am excited to come back another time, and enjoy it as a personal family holiday.

My stay at the Pokolbin Village Estate was an experience that truly encapsulated the beauty and serenity of nature, combined with the comfort and luxury of well-designed spaces. The spacious rooms provided a sense of freedom and relaxation, a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. The well-designed bedrooms and bathrooms added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the overall experience, making it feel like a home away from home. The cleanliness was top-notch, reflecting the high standards maintained by the estate. It was a pleasure to return to a spotless room after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The proximity to a café was a delightful bonus. The convenience of having delicious coffee and breakfast just a stone’s throw away added to the overall comfort of my stay.

Very well appointed unit, with great shower and very comfy bed. The unit has a nice lounge area with a small fridge, kettle, a great selection of teas and coffee and a toaster and microwave. Also, very decent sized wine glasses and coffee mugs! There is a separate bedroom, bathroom and a small verandah. The location is great, as it’s within walking distance of some wineries, one of the gin distilleries and a very good restaurant next door. There is also a great cafe in the village open for breakfast and lunch, a general store and bottle shop

Fireplace was a nice touch. Also nice jacuzzi style bathtub.

Room was spacious & the balcony was nice to sit on of an afternoon. Bed very comfy. The Spike Bar was great & the staff very pleasant. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Food was fresh & a good selection. The golf course is exceptional!! Well maintained & enjoyable to play.

Overall look of the resort was lovely. Felt very posh! The room was gorgeous and our balcony overlooking the golf course and mountains in the distance was lovely. The pool area looked clean and nice. The restaurant was nice when we went in for our breakfast buffet that had an amazing selection of healthy and unhealthy food and drink options for whatever you’re wanting to go for. Golf course and grounds were well maintained and staff were all very polite and welcoming whenever we went around the resort. Our room was gorgeous and very spacious. Loved the decor and vibe however after running our bath the spa bath stopped working the jets weren’t fully working and the tap handle fell off and only could turn cold water on. Luckily this wasn’t a problem as I had already run the bath and we were only there the one night so it wasn’t a big deal for us. I let them know upon checking out which they said they would have someone see to it asap so I’m sure it won’t be a problem and was just an unfortunate situation that luckily didn’t ruin our stay at all. Overall a lovely night and will definitely come back hopefully for more than one night next time to fully enjoy all facilities.

The villa was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, the golf cart service to take you to/from the bars/restaurants were greatly appreciated. The pool was very relaxing with pool towels provided. The villa had perfect temperature control and the bed gave a great nights sleep. The bathroom had some features that were aging but the functionality was not hindered. We had a wonderful time.

Perfect location in an amazing spot with great facilities and really helpful staff. The rooms are large and very comfortable with spacious lounge area, big balcony and a full size king bed which was really really comfy. The entire resort in amazing and so well set up apart from the distances between villas and facilities. This place is well priced for a luxury resort with a high end spa and the best golf course I have ever played.

The atmosphere is like a magic place; the owners are amiable. The whole place is very beautiful and comfortable, so relaxing. I reserved a special dinner for two people; the food was fresh and delicious. You can taste the local ingredients. It is a perfect place to escape from a busy work life. They also have a huge shower and a bathroom with a jacuzzi.

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Door Collective! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly hosts, who went above and beyond to make our visit special. The property itself is stunning, with breathtaking views of the vineyards and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The accommodation was beautifully appointed, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, making it the perfect retreat. The wine and food experience was another highlight. The wines were exceptional, and the gourmet breakfasts were a delight—fresh, delicious, and perfectly paired with the serene surroundings. Overall, Red Door Collective is a hidden gem in Hunter Valley. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with warm hospitality, excellent wine, and a picturesque setting, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to return!

If you're looking for a fantastic, relaxing and comfortable stay in the Hunter Valley I highly recommend the Red Door Collective. Evelyn and Stuart are amazing and friendly hosts, and the cottage was superbly furnished, comfortable and private. We loved our stay from being offered a wine tasting when we checked in and a complimentary bottle of wine, to the absolutely delicious breakfast and amazing coffee in the morning (all included). A much better choice for us than staying at some of the high-end hotels in the area as it's a bespoke and unique stay. We had a fireplace that kept us warm and the linen is high quality so you absolutely sink into the bed at the end of the day exploring the Hunter. There's lovely walks on the property as well as a dedicated pedestrian/cycle path on the road opposite the property for those wanting to stretch their legs and burn off a few more calories from the delicious food and wine.

Evie and Stewart are the most amazing hosts (by the time we left it felt like they were old friends), happy to give suggestions on places to visit, eat and do tastings. The first day, we did a wine tasting including a cheese platter with them, their wines are so full of flavour (the Frizzante was an absolute winner for me). We stayed in Chardonnay cottage which was perfect, spotlessly clean and had literally everything we could ask for. They even did the most amazing charcuterie board for us to enjoy on the patio while enjoying the sunset (highly recommend). Breakfast each morning was exceptional and huge portions, we are coffee snobs and Stewart’s coffee was perfect 👌🏻. We will definitely be back and with friends too 💕.

Complete Bliss. A beautiful estate with great views and only the sound of the birds. Perfect to escape the city and just read a book and recharge the batteries for a couple of days. The suite was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast and evening dinner was at the reception area. A good choice of dishes and the wine flowed. 2022 Pinot went down very well; I had to bring some home. Stuart and Evelyn are the perfect hosts, checking on all your needs to ensure a very relaxing stay. Even cooking an evening meal for me on their day off. The green Thai curry was delicious! I really didn't want to leave. They really make you feel like you are one of the family. Truly a very kind and gracious couple.

The location was in the middle of Polkobin, so you could easily access nearby places. The room was clean and spacious, the bathtub was perfect, the bed was super comfy, and the view to the outside was simply exceptional

This was my 3rd stay at Leisure Inn Polkolbin. Rooms are good sizes with comfortable beds and all necessary amenities for a short stay. Bathrooms need updating but do the trick. Cafe breakfast menu at the cafe was a little disappointing as we couldn’t get our favourites (Eggs Benny and Big Breakfast), but the burgers we ordered were delicious. So many activities for all ages and the BBQ area is large and clean. Was perfect for our group of 6. Would definitely stay again.

I liked that it was so clean, the corners in the bathroom were done, anything we touched was clean. It was exceptional. The main bed was so comfortable and the pillows felt great. I loved having a spa, there was plenty of space in the bathroom for toiletries. It was a lovely place to stay. Very quiet despite being marketed as a family property. We didn't get to use the facilities but the pool looked great. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would happily stay there again.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this very nice location. It was clean and comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The only minor negative for us was the difficulty stepping over the spar bath wall. The shower located in the spar bath is not ideal for older users.

Room clean and nice. Bed was very comfortable. Food at the restaurant for dinner was delicious. Lovely quiet and comfortable place to stay for 1 night when travelling. Mini bar fridge was terrible, froze our food and didn't freeze our freezer bricks.

Our stay at Hunter Valley Resort was nothing short of perfect! Katie and her amazing team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for from start to finish. The resort is stunning, with beautiful surroundings and a warm, relaxing atmosphere. A special mention to the restaurant team — every meal was a highlight thanks to their friendly service and attention to detail. We left feeling relaxed, well looked after, and already planning our next visit. We had an amazing overnight stay at HV resort & farm. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, the food was great and the cabin was very clean and comfortable. We actually had fun at the wine tasting as the host was very entertaining and we loved visiting the farm and all the animals- which could only be made better by being a bit more hands on as I would of loved to cuddle the baby deer or even the cute donkey!

Excellent family friendly accomodation great views and easy access to restaurant and tennis court from room, place was clean and tidy and well maintained quite and peaceful atmosphere on the property very scenic with a nice country feel.

This was a trip with friends and we had a stay in a Hunter room. The room was comfy with all we needed for an overnight stay. The room was overlooking a grassy area and tennis courts, with a nice private courtyard to sit in and enjoy the view. We used the pool which our kids said was a little cold, but to be expected for the time of year. It was clean with some sunloungers for us to make the most of the great weather. The free session learning about wine making followed by wine tasting was a great touch and the staff member conducting that was very informative and funny. On site there are various activities you can partake in. The farm yard was basic but fabulous and the kids (and us!) loved the friendly animals. We went on a horse trek and the staff could not have been any more helpful, it was stunning scenery and really enjoyable. We'd definitely return.

Spicers Vineyards Estate was perfect from start to finish. We were upgraded to a suite at check-in, and the room was clean, modern, well appointed and stocked with firewood. The restaurant, Botanical, was excellent for lunch/dinner (same menu), and had several delicious gluten-free options. The complimentary breakfasts each morning were truly inspired. The staff was amazing (especially Brie and the manager, whose name we cannot remember) - very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They will shuttle you to and from the sister property's restaurant, which was also good. There are several excellent restaurants in Pokolbin nearby. We initially planned only two nights. We stayed three nights, and lamented that we could not stay longer. A romantic, relaxing, well appointed resort with no issues at all. Happy hour drinks and wine and cheese are often provided, and the grounds are beautiful. There is an organic garden, and Crackles, the resort's pet pig, is friendly and fun. Perhaps the most memorable aspect was seeing local wild kangaroos grazing and playing on the property near the pond each evening. We had no complaints

From the minute you commence your drive up the driveway you begin to relax. Spicers truly is a beautiful part of the world, whether you are strolling through the gardens, watching kangaroos, relaxing by the pool and spa or just being greeted by the friendly reception or restaurant staff you truly will have a wonderful time here. Restaurant Botanica was great for both dinner and breakfast and I would only recommend a stay when the restaurant is open. Our room was spacious, beds comfy and I loved the bath tub. The communal lounge room is a great idea and I loved reading the birthday book. You won’t regret a decision to stay here.

We visited for just one night to see some friends who were staying here, we wish we had stayed longer. Super friendly staff on arrival, very helpful and friendly. Super lovely rooms, so comfortable and relaxing. The restaurant was perfect, the food was outstanding, and the service was exceptional. The surroundings are tranquil and peaceful, you might spot the odd kangaroo as well which was lovely. We can highly recommend staying here. A quiet resort, set amongst lovely gum trees and vineyards. Nice to have restaurant on site for breakfast, good coffee, nice outlook and friendly staff, especially Peter on reception, he was so helpful and friendly. Sadly we didn’t realise Botanical wasn’t open on Monday or Tuesday. We went to Muse restaurant, Peter offered to drive us and we could taxi back. it was exceptional.

We arrived on a dull wintry afternoon . A friendly welcome and escorted to our room . The first treat was the open fireplace in the living area, set and ready to be lit. The complimentary champers and nibbles on the balcony with the throw over rug was all that was required for a relaxing afternoon . A knock at the door ,around 6pm,the complimentary cocktails had arrived . The fire warmly crackling , the fireside was the place to be by this time . The heated bathroom floor led to the spa bath , a nice treat before dinner at the on sight restaurant , Botanica. We have eaten at many places in the vineyards and we would place Botanica in our top three, food wise and service.We had the gourmet breakfast delivered to our room the next morning and it did not disappoint. The fresh juice was particularly yummy and refreshing . We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay . I was not going to write this blog,never have before, wanted to keep it a secret , but everyone should experience Spicer's once or more.

Excellent location on Hermitage near to vineyards and fine restaurants. Set in peaceful, open surroundings it is beautifully quiet. The suite was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with good facilities including a microwave and fridge.

Location was perfect and we had every comfort in the cottage that we could need or want. Very clean and the property was very well maintained. Great place to stay - A1!!

The property has many inclusions including plenty of cutlery and crockery. It also had nice touches like teabags, coffee pods, sugar, salt and pepper. There was even milk in the fridge! The location is serene, and there were kangaroos on the property when we were there. It is a quiet location and we were fully self-contained.

From the indulgent spa bath and cosy fireplace to the double shower and beautiful surroundings, every detail was perfect. Waking up to a bunch of kangaroos and wallabies right outside our balcony was such a magical experience—it felt like something out of a movie. We spent the afternoon on the balcony, sipping red wine and sharing snacks while soaking in the views and the serenity. It was exactly the romantic and relaxing escape we were hoping for. The location of Elysia Wellness Retreat is truly peaceful and picturesque the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The accommodation is spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. There’s a fantastic range of activities on offer, including yoga, boxing, tai chi, guided walks, and even pickleball lessons! Both the indoor and outdoor pools are excellent, and the spa treatments are an absolute must with so many options to choose from, each one is pure bliss. The meals were generally very good, though it would have been nice to have dessert available each evening. My only small suggestion would be for the outdoor tai chi sessions they would feel even more relaxing if they weren’t held at the same time as the loud aqua class or when cleaning vehicles are driving nearby. Aside from that, the staff were consistently professional, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. The seminars were also informative and well-presented. Overall, I highly recommend Elysia Wellness Retreat to anyone seeking a restorative and rejuvenating wellness experience.

My mum and I recently stayed at Elysia Wellness Retreat, and honestly, it was one of the most peaceful and relaxing experiences we’ve had in years. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm and welcoming, like the place was designed to make stress disappear. We stayed in a two-bedroom upper apartment, and the view was stunning—rolling hills, endless trees, and a golden sunset glow that made everything feel even more serene. Sitting on the balcony, listening to the birds and watching kangaroos laze around below was absolute bliss. The beds were firm but comfy, and while the kitchen had an oven and stove, we quickly realised they were “for display purposes only,” which gave us a laugh. The staff were incredible. The guy who checked us in (whose name I stupidly forgot to ask) was always friendly whenever we saw him. The housekeeper who helped us with our luggage was so sweet, loading it into her buggy and taking it down to the car for us—such a small thing, but it made a difference. We stayed midweek, so it was quiet in the best way possible. It honestly felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, which made it even more peaceful. Being surrounded by nature, with nothing but birdsong and the occasional distant car, was exactly what we needed. The whole retreat just has this incredible sense of calm that makes you want to stay forever. If you need to reset, breathe & actually relax, this is the place to do it. Mum and I don’t know when we’ll be back, but we know we will

Elysia resort in hunter valley is pure bliss. Our ocean-view villa dazzled with a private plunge pool, rain shower, and sunset decks. Staff greeted us with tropical cocktails and unmatched warmth. Dining was divine: farm-to-table fusion with seared snapper, coconut foam, and endless breakfast crepes. Snorkeling revealed vibrant reefs; spa treatments melted stress with local herbs. Eco-friendly touches—solar power, reef-safe amenities—impressed. Luxury meets sustainability seamlessly. Worth every penny for a rejuvenating escape. 10/10—already planning my return! (98 words)

Great location! Our room was immaculate clean and amazing view from our balcony. Only negative was there was only 2 pieces of each cutlery. No room service was available we had to go and collect our food from the bistro which wasn't ideal. Great Spa facilities available and nice and peaceful area. Staff were friendly

I arrived at Elysia feeling tired, flat and unmotivated. 5 days later I was jumping out of my skin- fully nourished with an outstanding variety of delicious healthy meals prepared by the amazing chef Jamie. The array of exercise and activities available was almost endless- we experienced early morning tai chi on the lavender strewn Meditation Hill , hilarious Pickle Ball, fun Zumba, competitive indoor hockey, yin yoga, gym circuits, breath workshops and even Feldenkrais and after all or any of the above there is the spa- fabulous massages, treatments , the steam room and the pool. Our apartment was perfect- 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms with very comfortable beds , soft pillows, warm doonas and fluffy white towels. Elysia is my favorite holiday spot and I will be back very soon. Thanks to Mel, Matt, Brad and all the brilliant team who are genuine in their quest to make our lives better. I am so grateful 🩷🥳 You are the best.
