This is a longtime developed family business in rural countryside close to Pori city 10 mins by car). Rooms are located in old countryhouses from late 18th century and well maintained and carefully restored. Facilities are fully modern (WIFI seems to work outside areas too!) except no A/C in the rooms. Area is beautiful respecting the life of the past in form of iron founfry and saw mill and other buildings and sites. Breakfast was excellent with good variety. Dinner presented local flavors of elk/moose meat, fish and local produces. Just fab! Everything is clean, service is warm and happy. If you for once want to enjoy ex-city accomodation this should be your choice!

The area is very exceptional, an interesting historical site, very well maintained. We had a very quick visit but we enjoyed it although it was raining. There is much to see, lovely old wooden buildings, Makkarakoski rapids, you can take the tours to learn more of the area, etc. The staff is very friendly, breakfast is plenty (very good oat porridge and exquisite strawberry-rhubarb jam!), room has airconditioning and there was even a shared kitchen upstairs (we were in Sahala building). The added bonus is that you can recharge your electric car for free! This is going to be our regular place to stay when we are heading to Pori or the area in vicinity. It is only 10mins by car from Pori.

Ahlströmin Ruukki is charming blend of historic and modern amenities. You feel you've stepped back in while still all the of today. Plus, the beautiful surroundings and peaceful atmosphere make it perfect place to unwind and relax.

We were a group of 16 extended family members here for a two-night stay. The staff responded quickly to email questions while planning and helped to ensure the most comfortable room assignments and situation for our group. Being in a house filled with Alvar Aalto furnishings was a bonus! Exploring the beautiful and peaceful grounds by bike (free bike rental) was the highlight of our stay.

One of the most beautiful surroundings in Finland with a lot of history of national importance (Ahlström industrial family). Many guided tours and museum facilities on the premises. Friendly staff. The breakfast and lunch were good. The AC worked marvels on a hot summer day.

Have spent a lot of time at this hotel whilst on business over the years being only a few hotels in Pori. Ideally located in the town centre with parking facilities to the rear and underground car park across the street with accessed by tunnel walkway (hotel rooms on both sides of the road). Friendly and efficient reception, clean basic but comfortable rooms, access to bar through reception serving food. Breakfast buffet on first floor with varied selection to start your day off.

The location was great, everything was walkable. The on site bar/restaurant and option for sauna was a real draw. The room was comfy and practical. Best of all was the breakfast, best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had!

I stayed here two nights. Overall nothing to compain: staff was friendly, room was spacious (bathroom ok too even slightly small), great breakfast and good location. There are many restaurants nearby, everything in walking distance. Only thing which I found annoying is that rooms weren't cleaned every day. The reason was "eco friendliness". But for my opinion it's more about green-washing. I don't ask anyone to change my towels every day or sanitize everything. But the place wouldn't be any less eco-friendly if rooms are tidied up every day - make beds and empty bins. This kind of eco-friendliness "we don't step to the room while you are staying here if you don't make any special requests for it" is more about cutting employee costs and trying to cover it behind nature values. So this was only annoying thing at Original Sokos Hotel.

I was lecturing in Pori and was offered a room at this hotel by the organizer. The hotel is nicely renovated and the room was spacious and clean. The friendly personel helped me out and the restaurant downstairs provided food and drink during my stay. Can´t fault anything, a good hotel for a one-night stay.

The restaurant serves up some delicious food - even apart from the breakfast. The rooms are cozy, clean and quiet.

There was nothing to complain about in the hotel, the superior room or the breakfast. The places were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was comprehensive and tasty. I would come again if necessary.

Location was excellent right at the beach, beautiful nature with dunes and forest. Great facilities with kitchen areas, showers, washing room. Good nearby restaurants as well as playgrounds for children. Cottage was basic but worked well for our needs and we appreciated our own terrace for eating breakfast and sitting outside in the evening.

Very nice bungalows, close to the beach. Good localization. Bungalows were spacious and very comfortable (we were in 4 people).

The property used to be a butchery long time ago, with the main building being the former administrative office (IIRC). Thus, each room of the main building is named after the actual office that used to be there, like accounting, general manager and so on (nice touch). The main building also holds the showers, the reception, the kitchen, the laundry room and the breakfast hall upstairs. Ship models decorate the building everywhere giving it a lot of sea spirit, with a couple of comfy sofas to dive in and relax. The shared room is located in an adjacent building, at the time of my visiting it has space for 8 people. It has two toilets, an small kitchen (no oven or burners), a microwave oven and a large refrigerator. The beds are comfortable, the space is cozy - forget about what you know about shared rooms -, there are lockers for each of the bed and a big mirror to make sure you look sharp before going outside :) The main table is a big one where 6 people can eat comfortably at the same time. Also the place is big enough to hold a party by itself. On the outside near the main building there’s also a nice deck with a some garden chairs and a couple of tables; the place is bathed in sun for the most part of the day.

It's absolutely amazing hostel. Staff is nice and accommodating. Breakfast was nice and enjoyable. Room was awesome, with fridge. Not too far from Kirjurinluoto where there is summer festivals every year. My third time staying in this hostel and I'll be back when I'm going to Pori again next time.

Ideal location, right in the middle of the city. The breakfast was good if a little limited for a UK traveler (my limit, not Amado's). Staff very friendly and helpful, free coffee always available. My room was clean and the bathroom with shower was very good. No outside noise.

After Cost benefit analyses the hotel was a very good one. Especially the parking of vehicle was easy. Breakfast was versatile, and the restaurant in the dinner time comfortable. Room was clean and sufficiently large.

Great location. Beautiful and private garden. 10 minute walk to Kirjurinluoto. Well equipped kitchen and there was acoustic guitar in the room aswell. All in all great value escpecially if you are going to Poris festivals.

A place with an atmosphere - 1930s style and a piece of history, and updated with thought. The flow of the Kokemäki river viewed from the hotel is almost hypnotizing. Slept really well, relaxed. And the hotel breakfast was really good. This is a family-run business and it shows. The location is somewhat remote but worth navigating.

A wonderful experience. We loved our stay here, everything was perfect and the breakfast was fantastic. A lovely place on a lovely property. We were treated like part of the family and could not of asked for better service. Highly recommended.

Paikka on Friitalan nahkatehtaan johtajan entinen asunto, mikä näkyy hulppeissa tiloissa. Johtajan toimisto oli aamiaisen ruokasalina. Huonekalut arvokkaita vanhoja kokopuisia ja ilmeisesti pellavaliinat pöydissä. Aamiainen oli hyvä ja runsas, vaikka montaa hotellivierasta ei ilmeisesti ollut. Palvelu oli erittäin ystävällistä ja huone käytiin näyttämässä henkilökohtaisesti. Jos odottaa huippumodernia paikkaa, niin tämä ei ole sitä, mutta vuonna 1939 rakennetusta johtajan asunnosta huokuu juhlava tyyli varsinkin alakerran tiloissa. Huoneet olivat OK ja näkymä Kokemäenjoelle oli mahtava. Erityisen vaikuttava oli aamun usva, joka liikkui joen pinnassa. Ihanat ulkotilat ja jokiranta. Hyvä vaihtoehto niille, jotka eivät kaipaa keskustan hulinaa.

Kiva ja erittäin rauhallinen paikka joen varrella. Ei todella mikään ketjuhotelli. Jos hakee hieman vähemmän kiiltävää, idyllistä yöpaikkaa, ja arvostaa rauhallisuutta, niin tämä on sopiva paikka

Vi var faktiskt överraskade då våra rum var helt renoverade och snygga med fint designade möbler. Hade hört att hotellet är ju slitet och gammalt. Det stämmer ju men man har satsat på att förnya stället. Vi njöt i spaet och bastun. Jag kan varmt rekommendera hotellet för avkopplande vistelse, det saknades ingenting i frukostbuffet heller. Havet och stranden med sandfynerna var rent. Effter långa promenader i sanden saknar man inte gymmet. Den friska luften känns i kroppen och ger god sömn i den fina sängen.

Yyteri on ainutlaatuinen alue. Tosin hotellin alakerran merimaisemat on estetty turhilla rakennelmilla. Ylhäältä näkyy kaunis maisema ja ravintola on muutenkin hyvä - niin palvelu kuin ruokakin. Harmi että koiraranta on niin kaukana hotellilta, automatkan päässä. Sähköauton latauksessa pitäisi olla oikeudenmuksisempi maksuperuste kulutuksen mukaan. Kiitos jäähdytysilmastoinnista huoneissa!

Brilliant, Excellent, Mind blowing apartment. I have chosen because of previous reviews and how is looks like on photos. And it is exceeded my expectation. Easy check in and out. Based in city center around all shops, coffee, restaurant. So quiet and secure building. The apartment was so comfy, modern, quite, terrace, sauna, so spotless clean, the decor of apartment was just amazing. I just love this place and will always book when back in the city. The owner is a sweetheart and answer all your questions straight away and is very kind and welcoming. So happy with this place. I highly recommend to everyone. You are going to love it. Thank you for your great job, I give you ten starts.

There is nothing not to like. The bed was comfortable, the amenities unbeaten so far, coffee was included, washing machine was a great surprise and the location is hard to beat! The host was incredibly helpful both with parking and local places to visit and tips on restaurants. If I ever get a chance I will be using this room again!

The apartment was really clean, comfortable and cozy. And it was directly in the City Center.

Fantastic ambiance, very homely and fun, the decor was surprising and charming! Service was above and beyond, we even got service in Swedish over the phone! The host provided an amazing take away breakfast as we had to leave early. The rooms were very comfortable and unique. Common areas were clean and comfortable.

The hotel is situated in a rural area with a natural park/garden around. The hotel rooms are all furnished differently and are comfortable. The breakfast was served in another building (an old wooden villa) just opposite of the hotel with a lovely atmosphere due to the old furniture and decorations/paintings. The breakfast offered a good choice of everything and more than you would expect at a relatively small hotel. And the owner Harri was reading all wishes from our eyes to make our stay even more perfect. In the basement was a lounge with a large TV, dining table, coffee machine, a small kitchen and a sauna which could be used by he guests free of charge.

Very beautiful hotel. In addition to the fact the room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable and nights rest was wonderful in the silence, even with opened window.: all was very well organized - the entrance to the hotel was coded and you could get answers via SMS at any time if you had any questions. The lovely hotel buildings were ancient and the hotel interior was stylishly decorated. It was a wonderful surprise, what a retro style lounge... and all the art surrounded: pictures on the walls, mystical statues and sculptures both inside the house and in the manor park really impressed. In the morning there was a great breakfast in the main building of the manor and a chance to look around the manor rooms. In the evening there was a lovely sunny park for a walk, where the water gushing from the fountain seemed to tell own story. A beautiful quiet place but at the same time completely close to the highway, a quick-to-find location and certainly leaves a deep impression. I even felt sad I had to leave so soon. If I'm in the area again, definitely visiting hotel again.

Great to be able to take the dog with no problem. All questions answered very swiftly by the proprietor. Easy to find and get into the building even with nobody present. Quiet and clean. Lovely location for the breakfast and getting to see a little bit of the the big house that way.

Nice apartment, if maybe a bit old fashioned. The beds were great. Very, soft and the hight adjustable. The kitchen had everything I needed, even some coffee and juice. And oatmeal for breakfast. And the owner was very friendly.

We stayed one night while traveling in Finland to visit family. We were looking for a comfortable hotel room just for sleeping with a good price. We slept well. The beds are comfortable, also child’s/ extra bed. It was quiet outside (Tuesday night). Very central location. The room has a water kettle and instant coffee. The shower has hot water and liquid soap. Airconditioning and elevator. Very good price quality ratio.

I arrived after midnight but check-in with the code was so easy and fast. Very basic hotel room but was clean and bed was comfortable, shower was hot - all you need :) Breakfast I took in the café in front of the hotel, was very good too.

Location was amazing. Beds were comfortable and room very clean. Self-checkin went smoothly. AC worked well and other appliances as well. Exeptionally quiet room, considering the city-centre location. Smaller kitchen appliances were also available for usage and worked well.e

For a short stay, I recommend. I had a problem with the first room and the manager fixed in one hour, super friendly staff. I stayed 3 night so there wasn't any cleaning service, that was a ok for the time I stayed but the trash bugged me a bit. It's really well located, you can do lots of stuff in a walking distance (like groceries, bar, walking in a very beautiful path close to the river), 20 minutes from Yyteri beach and 26 minutes from Dogs beach. They didn't offered the parking until I asked about it, I think in that can be an improvement. Also the dog fee. I couldn't book and pay in advance the dog stay, that can me solved also really quickly, in my opinion. Another suggestions for improvement are: -the temperature wasn't quite nice, the AC is not powerful at all; -the window lock is broken; -collection at least the trash of the clients daily; -a small snack for the dog would be a cherry on top of the cake, like, a very friendly customer service. Hotel is located in the very centre of Pori, near Kauppatori, 1 min to bus station. There is no reception at the hotel, but its office is 2 min away. Alina at the office was super nice and friendly and helped me a lot, letting me charge my phone, leave my luggage and even taking it to the room in the evening - Alina, thanks a lot! Very nice restaurant Päre next door offers breakfast and lunch for reasonable prices. Room is nice and clean, there is a microwave, kitchen utensils, a hairdryer, etc. I enjoyed my stay and would be happy to visit again.

It was a straightforward "I need a room to sleep" kind of visit. Everything worked fine in the clean and rather spacious room. There is no dedicated restaurant, but there are several restaurants, pubs, and hotels just around a corner.

It is located right next to the airport. Perfect and convenient, especially if you arrive late in the night or you have to depart early in the morning.

We stayed for one night with a friend, and it was excellent. The cottage was really clean, the beds were comfortable (we didn't use the couсh), and there was everything needed for cooking in the kitchen. There was floor heating in the bathroom, which was nice after a cold day, and installed air conditioning. The check-in was fairly easy; we came on a day when reception was not working, but the staff provided us with the necessary instructions. The location is amazing, very close to the beach.

A beautiful place by the sea. Two minutes walk to the beach. Quiet and peaceful. A clean cottage, has everything you need to have a good time.

The cottage was situated in a cottage and caravan camping area. We were there out of season so it was very quiet. I can imagine this place is popular in high season as it is so close to the beach. Liked the children's area as well.

Everything was so easy. I got a message with all the codes and instructions. Parking spot in a carage was included and the key to apartment was right next to it. So all I needed was to drive in. The apartment was nice and clean and the place was quiet. There even was a sauna, but I stayed for just one night, so had no time to test it. And the best part is that there was a store in the same building, so I could easily get something to eat as well.

Apartment was easy to find and it's location was almost in central. I was surprised how clean and tidy apartment was! I will definitely come back again!

Came to Pori for my son's hockey tournament. Barely stayed 12 hours in the apartment but we really enjoyed the time we spent there and wished we could have stayed longer. Apartment has everything one needs and was clean and comfortable. Building was quiet, easy to access and there is a parking space in the yard. Self check in so no need to make plans to get the key. Owner is accessible by phone and replied immediately to help me sort out a small issue I had. Highly recommended!

Very clean apartment in the town center. There was a matterace for the sofa-bed adding to the sleeping comfort. The little things, like coffee, tea, chocolate - nice extra gesture.

I like the location, clean n tidy. Well furnished. But the room is cold even i put battery on all days.

Very comfortable and clean; small bathroom (that’s standard) but with cabinet space for toiletries. Good hanging, cupboard space. I just used stove top and microwave, but kitchen seems to be well stocked. Nice little balcony to sit out on (no view). Apartment is close to the river walk and museums, but about 4 blocks from town centre - but the river is more interesting! Nice restaurant on riverbank. Remote access to the apartment worked fine.

The studio was well equipped, comfortable with modern TV, W-LAN. The location in the centre of Pori was very suitable for us. A supermarket just around the corner. And free parking at the street was always available.
