Everything!!!!! We were very fortunate to be given an upgrade to arguably the best room in the entire hotel. The views each day were amazing. There was a fresh fruit basket on the table when we arrived and tea and coffee facilities in the room. The bed was luxurious with plenty of pillows. The bathroom had a huge shower in addition to a large bath and plenty of soft towels which were replaced each day in addition to quality toiletries. The bathroom also had a night light which was fantastic if you needed to use he bathroom during the night. Downstairs a wood fire burned in the large lounge area all day and the ambiance it provided when returning from sightseeing on a winters afternoon was magic. Add to this a reasonably priced bar area where you could purchase a cocktail or coffee to enjoy by the fire whilst overlooking the bay and a first rate restaurant where an extensive array of breakfast items were available and nothing was too much trouble even if you wanted to mix and match various items from different breakfast items and I just can’t rate this hotel highly enough. Every single staff member of this hotel made us feel special and did their job with excellence. We also ate dinner several nights in the restaurant and the food was fabulous. We will return here on our next visit to the UK this was the absolute highlight of 3 months of travelling.

Lovely friendly, welcoming staff. Massive big room for a standard double, with big bathroom, separate shower and bath. Room cosy, had tea facilities. Very quiet, clean and comfy bed. Breakfast was very good, tasty, all waitress service. Dinner was excellent. Beautifully presented and delicious. Views from dining room we're stunning.

This hotel is amazing! We were given an upgrade as we are on our honeymoon. Our room was fabulous - quite large with a huge, comfortable bed and also two armchairs. We had a lovely view over the bay. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is far enough out of Portree to be quiet but close enough to walk into town for a meal. The front lawn has fabulous views and is peaceful, with beautiful bird song. We ate in the hotel one night - the food was delicious, the cocktails were great, and the service was excellent. There is a nice lounge with games for guests to use.

we booked a cosy double room, when we arrived at the hotel to check in we were informed we had been upgraded to a bigger standard double room. the room was spacious, huge bed, huge TV with hotel info/menu app on it, comfortable armchairs, bathrobes & slippers available but didn't use them. plenty of hot water, fab rain shower, huge fluffy towels. well stocked bar, chatty bar staff. we enjoyed a tasty evening meal in the dining room, slept well in the very comfortable bed, and had breakfast in the dining room overlooking the harbour - we only stayed for one night but would defo go back for more.

We stayed at the Cuillin for one night while on a tour. It was a splurge for us as we usually don't spend too much on accommodations, and it was definitely worth the splurge! Our room was wonderful and we had a great view of the harbor. The front yard was very relaxing, offering chairs and picnic tables to sip wine at to watch dusk turn into night and dawn turn into day. The staff members were all very friendly and attentive. We had a really great dinner and breakfast at the View, and the hotel gave us the perfect table at the front so we could enjoy the view while eating. I recommend staying here for anyone travelling to Portree for a night looking for an elevated hotel experience.

Everything was so great!!! We were here with my boyfriend the evening of February 12. Amazing hotel, in an mind-blowing and peaceful place. The room was stunning. The bed extremely comfy. The room has also a beautiful big bathroom. The room and the bathroom were perfectly clean. We had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel, and it was delicious. In the morning, we also had breakfast at the restaurant, it was copious and absolutely delicious as well. I even tried their delicious haggis. I asked the lady at the restaurant about that, as it was part of the breakfast and I wasn't sure if I would like it, she kindly told me that it was possible to have it on a separate plate, so I could try it. Turned out it was delicious! All the personnel here was very kind and welcoming. Thank you all for this amazing moment here. It's a place that I'll keep in my mind for my next stay on the Isle of Skye!

We arrived to a lovely warm and friendly welcome. The hotel is a beautiful building (I believe an old hunting lodge that used to be owned by the owner of a nearby castle). The lounge areas are vast, cosy with wood panelling and a real fire. The rooms were spacious, comfortable with furniture befitting the property with modern en-suite bathrooms. You could dress as smart or as casual as you were comfortable wearing and there was a relaxed ambience. We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant and the food was delicious and there was a good selection of wine and whisky. We then had drinks in the lounge areas (not that we had time but there was a selection board games you could play). The staff were very friendly and chatty and happy to be asked about nearby places to visit. Breakfast was very comprehensive (a self-service continental buffet that had the choice of fruit, a lovely banana and berry smoothie, a choice of pastries, cereals, yoghurts and then there was hot food cooked to order). I would love to return to Skye and I would definitely recommend Greshornish Hotel to anyone. It is a shame we were only staying the one night.

Greshornish House is a magnificent property and we loved our stay here. The house is stunning and beautifully renovated and appointed. The room we stayed in was great and very comfortable. The countryside is beautiful, the lochs were magical and the sheep were very cute! It is quaint, peaceful and relaxing. The staff were exceptional, very friendly, attentive and helpful. Thank you Katie and Hope. We loved sitting by the open fire and having a few drinks. We ate dinner and breakfast there and all meals were fantastic. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at Greshornsch House for four evenings and had a wonderful time. The hospitality and service of the staff was top-notch. The Jura room has an incredible window view of the loch, and we enjoyed soaking in the spacious bathtub. Dinner was amazing each night, in particular the seafood mains were fresh and seasoned really well. The breakfast hash and smoked salmon were also delicious. Mark, Katie, Sam, Lisa and Hope, thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable (and please pardon if we've misspelled your names). Cheers!

The hotel itself is beautiful and in a wonderful location looking over the water. Our room was very cosy, nicely decorated and exceptionally clean. We loved the lounge area downstairs with the roaring open fire - it makes the hotel. Breakfast was excellent. The choice of fresh smoothies, pastries, meat and cheese etc was brilliant and the cooked Scottish breakfast was delicious. The waitress who did both dinner and breakfast service was very attentive and hospitable.

Skeabost was the highlight of our whole trip to Scotland! From the beginning of our stay, we were warmed with the best reception. Our hostess carried all bags to our room and arranged an afternoon tea for us due to a cancellation they had. All the staff was so friendly and helpful, we received many recommendations about best places to visit on Skye and even had our waiter give us a map to follow for our driving. The restaurant is delicious and was our favorite meal of our time away, and breakfast is fresh and offers many options including continental and hot breakfast options with many drinks available. The rooms were beautifully decorated with large comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. Each room had a kettle and nespresso maker with tea and coffee available. WiFi was reliable and the property was beautiful and relaxing. We only hate we couldn’t stay longer, but it is a MUST stay for anyone traveling to Skye!

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! It’s super beautiful with historical charm and elegance. We sat by the fireplace with a delicious old fashioned after a long day of traveling. The dinner we had was phenomenal!!! I ordered the Cullen skink which is now a new favorite - it was out of this world good! My partner had the monkfish which was also just as delicious. The staff were all super friendly and helpful making for a lovely holiday for us. Our room also had a cute outdoor balcony (1st floor) where we could sit outside with a coffee in the morning and see a nice view of the loch. All in all we loved our stay and would definitely be back!

Our stay at this hotel was very pleasant and comfortable. We stayed in the Gate House, which was charming and well maintained. The back door lock was a bit tricky, but holding the handle up before locking solved the issue. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the dinner was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel — outstanding food, excellent wine, and great service. It’s a perfect stop for an overnight stay, with beautiful surroundings that are ideal for a run and breathtaking views. While the bar had a limited cocktail selection, everything else more than made up for it. Overall, a wonderful experience. 4.5/5

An old hunting lodge/country house about 5 miles from the main town Portree. Well furnished with classic wood panelled breakfast room and modern conservatory restaurant with extensive views over the loch. Luxurious room. Nice walk to local island with ancient ruined chapel. Very friendly staff-especially Sue in the breakfast room who was so helpful. An excellent stay celebrating a special anniversary

This cozy pod is conveniently located near Portree, offering easy access to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. It's also ideally situated close to many of Skye's must-visit tourist spots, so you'll never be far from the island's natural wonders. The pod itself is impressively well-equipped and absolutely spotless. I was pleasantly surprised by the incredibly fast Wi-Fi, especially for a remote island location—it worked seamlessly throughout our stay. The room is bright and spacious enough to accommodate our mid-sized luggage comfortably. The heating system is excellent, which was a blessing given the chilly weather during our visit. Inside the pod, we stayed warm and comfortable, thanks to the effective heater that created a cozy ambiance. The quality and variety of amenities provided are fantastic and thoughtfully chosen: TV, flashlight, shower towels, soap, toaster, bread, fridge, milk, butter, jam, oats, plates, utensils, mirror, table, and dishwashing liquid—everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The shower warms up instantly, which is a lovely touch for relaxing after a day of exploring. The mattress was also very comfortable, allowing for a restful night’s sleep. The view from the window is simply stunning, adding to the peaceful and scenic atmosphere. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would happily rate this pod a 11/10.

Beautiful modern pods in a peaceful quiet rural location. Perfect for that quiet retreat away from it all. Maintained to a high standard, clean and tidy throughout. Ideally placed for easy travel to all local 'tourist' spots. Anne was the perfect host, nothing too much trouble, and her local knowledge happily shared. Already thinking about our next visit. Highly recommended.

What a fun twisty drive through the country with lots of sheep right up almost to the front door! Then we found a less adventurous drive for the remainder of our stay. The pod was cozy, comfortable, and clean, filled with all that we needed and more, including a hotpot, teas/coffees, toaster, bread and jam. The tiniest bathroom but somehow more than enough space especially in the creatively arranged shower. A lovely window opens right at the head of the bed for a breath of fresh air. In addition to the kitchen items mentioned, it had a nice sink, large enough for even washing a pair of quick-dry pants. Also an under-the-counter refrigerator which could hold several items. The couch was more than enough for two people with a tv to view that hung on the opposite wall. I personally never met the owners but others in our party did and commented how nice they were. Ordered woodfired pizza online that we picked up from a "food truck" quite closeby. Hiked the Fairy Pools on our way to our next destination.

Amazing staff, Anne was super friendly and helpful!! It is a beautiful location, but the only thing is it is a little remote and difficult to get to, you definitely need a car and it is a one track road which can be tricky (but normal on isle of skye!). The shower was amazingly good water pressure and hot water and a good size for such a little place. The bed was comfortable, and I was impressed at the amenities (WiFi, tv, microwave, mini fridge, she even had bread and butter and milk in there for us!). I would recommend anyone who has a car and doesn’t mind a small space to stay here! Very clean and well priced too.

We have had the most beautiful and wholesome stay at Skeabost View Pods, situated in the perfect location in Skye with the most stunning field view. The pods are warm and cozy yet still spacious, and the bed is extremely comfortable. It’s the little details that Anne provides that make the stay so special - a friendly face, bread, milk, porridge and even marshmallows to toast by the fire. I could not rate this stay highly enough, we will be back!

Modern luxury in a convenient location on the edge of Portree, 5 minute walk to the town centre shops, pubs, restaurants and sights. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our bedroom was on the top floor the old house, with great views of the port and the mountains. The room was modern, comfortable, practical with large bed, table and chairs, sitting chair, nice touches like pod coffee machine, snacks, nice toiletries, hairdryer. Great breakfast menu, worth booking the breakfast included rate. Restaurant serves steak in the evening, worth booking for one night. Hotel has free parking. Helpful advice with maps, taxi booking, restaurant booking. Laundry service available via a local 3rd party. Thoroughly recommend

My husband and I celebrated our 50th anniversary with a three night stay at this lovely small hotel. Our room was spacious with a nice bathroom and shower. We had a spectacular view of the harbor and two mountain ranges from our window. A nice comfy chair to watch the sunset and sunrise was a great touch. The breakfast and dinner in the Chargrill Restaurant at the hotel were delicious. Please make reservations. We did and were very pleased to have them. Portree is a small town and gets busy. Eggs Benedict and steak with wild mushrooms were incredible. Our waiter Richard was very helpful and went out of his way to be sure we had everything we needed. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly. We received a a card and gift to celebrate our anniversary that was so special and thoughtful. We had dinner one night at the restaurant of a sister hotel near the water. It was excellent too. We loved being able to walk to the town of Portree. It’s so charming, with cute little shops and a delicious bakery.

We stayed at the Marmalade for three nights and thought it was perfect. The staff greeted us warmly and were very nice to interact with. Our room was modern, peaceful, quiet, very clean, and had all of the amenities (nice bath products, sparkling bottled water, delicious treats). We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on the night of our arrival after a long day of travel and really enjoyed having such a nice experience right on-site. Breakfast is very generous and features both cold items and a hot item of your choice, plus coffee. The restaurant staff were also very nice to work with -- nothing was too much trouble. We liked that the hotel is a short walk into Portree but that it was absolutely silent at nigh, which let us sleep very well after all of our outdoor adverntures. We would definitely stay here again!

If you are traveling to Isle of Skye and are looking for accommodations, look no further than the Marmalade. We had a tremendous stay. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast each morning was delightful and delicious with views out to their stunning garden including views of the bay. The hotel’s location is top-notch, just 7 minutes from the center of Portree and all it has to offer. It was also a perfect base for exploring the rugged beauty of Isle of Skye. Our room was located in the Manor house with its lovely wide spinal suitcase. Our room was roomy and extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay again and I want to express our thanks to Katie, Kim, Kerry, and Suzanne for helping to make our stay memorable.

The property was warm and inviting. The Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Quiet/Relaxing room/lounge with tea, coffee, water and views. Along with access to outdoor saunas was such a nice touch. Great location and can't wait to come back.

This is the absolute BEST run bed and breakfast that I've stayed at in all my travels. This was the highlight of our trip to Scotland and can't wait to come back. The hosts were very communicative throughout the entire process including checking on our arrival time so they could greet us in person, which I felt was a great touch. Our room was clean, spacious, and looked like it had been newly remodeled or refreshed. Everything we needed during our stay was there, comfortable bed, fan for the room, refrigerator, nice shower, and AMAZING views of the ocean. You can tell a lot of thought, heart, and soul goes into this place and it shows. We were given an option to select our breakfast menu as well as delivery time. Delivery was right on time and the food was great. Great selection of traditional scottish breakfast items all made to order. The location offered convenient access to Portree with all the ammenities we needed. The hosts were very friendly and I feel like they are now part of the family. Do yourself a favor and stay here during your visit to Isle of Skye. You won't be dissapointed !!

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome at An Airidh, Alan and Alex are wonderful hosts - and we loved Oatie the dog!! It is perfectly located in Portree where there are plenty of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. It's an ideal base for exploring the island. Our room was gorgeous with an amazing view, and the bonus of watching seals play in the bay each evening! The room was spotless and spacious, with fridge, microwave and plenty of cupboard space to hang clothes, and the bed was so comfortable. The ensuite was also spotlessly clean and spacious with the treat of lovely Arran toiletries. Breakfast was delivered to the room and was excellent with a great choice of continental and cooked options, a perfect start to the day. Alan enhanced our stay so much with lots of recommendations for places to visit around the island, and he had so many interesting stories and legends about Skye! He honestly made our holiday even more wonderful than we'd anticipated. The personal touch from Alan and Alex make An Airidh such a special place, we felt truly at home in this little gem.

The view from the room is so special! Alan was the perfect host, warmly welcoming us with lots of helpful info. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We were brought a delicious breakfast on a tray each morning (which I could get used to!), and they left plates and cutlery so that we could eat our own lunch or dinner in our room if we wished to. We easily walked into the main town multiple times so the location is ideal. Lots of parking, and a lovely big garden with benches facing on to the water. Would definitely recommend.

We loved everything about our stay, Alan called us the morning of our arrival to confirm our checkin time and greeted us when arrived. Alan checked in with us everyday and was very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and had a fabulous view of the water, binoculars were provided to take a closer look. The room was very spacious and the seperate hallway and your own front door made it feel like your own little haven after a busy day sightseeing. The bed was super comfy, you got a great sleep after a busy day. The bathroom was a great size and the Arran Aronatic toiletries were appreciated. Breakfast was delivered to your room to enjoy in peace, the choice was great and the food plentiful and tasty. It was a 15min leisurely walk into town, where you could enjoy eating out or pick up food to bring back, there was a microwave, fridge, plates and utensils provided. We took time to sit and enjoy the view from the room with a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. I would highly recommend staying here.

This B&B was hands down was our favorite place . Excellent room with great view, mini fridge and microwave. Very clean, great location close to town, great parking. Delicious and complete breakfast delivered to our room on time each morning. Best of all Alan was a great host who was very welcoming attentive and helpful. Also our beds were very comfortable with high quality bedding and pillows. It was perfect.

We stayed at the Skye Inn for one night. The property is clean and kept very well and was also quiet. Our room had fresh linens and was also clean. They serve dinner as well as breakfast. We regretfully didn’t make either but both menus sounded delicious. The Skye Inn is within walking distance to shopping and several restaurants. Staff was friendly and addressed any concerns we had.

Tucked away, yet convenient to everything on the Isle, The Skye Inn couldn't be more charming for a getaway! The lounge area is spacious and fosters both quiet tables for individuals and fosters a sense of global unity in the family-style table that graces the center of the room! Outfitted with an amazing overhead series of skylights, a wee bar, and a log fireplace, this community room is everything you need to start or end your day. And the food...it is simply mouthwatering! The bed is comfortable and the room is outfitted nicely, both in decor, a clothing cabinet, and a workspace. There is not a ton of extra walking space in the room, but all I can say to that is "Who's going to spend all day in a bedroom when there is so much to see and do in the area and the lounge, itself? The staff is uber friendly and welcoming! Inn manager, Tonileigh, and the rest of the crew made me feel right at home! My only regret is that I had but two nights stay!

Cosy room with very comfortable bed in this pet friendly hotel. Chef's homemade tasty shortbread a nice touch. Dinner first night in the hotel was perfect. Best sticky toffee pudding ever. Enjoyed sitting by open log fire. Breakfast was great start to the day with every option catered for. Staff were all friendly and made for a very relaxed atmosphere.

Everything was perfect, the room really nice and cozy, great very comfortable bed and pillow, and the bathroom was fully equipped and clean. Morning breakfast was really good with plenty of options. Night bar was very nice and comfortable it was pleasure to sit in front of the fireplace and drink beer :) Perfect stay and the price was very reasonable!

I had a fantastic stay at Skye Inn! The place has a really cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of fresh and tasty options to start the day. The location is also a big plus—just a short and easy walk to the town centre and harbour, making it perfect for exploring Inverness. The only minor downside is that the rooms are a bit small And less utilities.

We really enjoyed our stay and experience at Bracken Hide! The setting is so unique and felt really personal. The staff was so kind, we were greeted and our bags were taken directly to our rooms while we finished checking in. We were able to book our dinner for the evening and set a breakfast time for the morning knowing we were getting an early start. The cabins are small, but so cozy. Hands down the best shower we have had all trip - amazing water pressure and hot water. In room tea and robes, with Porter out front was amazing. A bit of a walk up to the cabins, but so worth it! Dinner was amazing, and the breakfasts in the AM were so good! We did take advantage of the plunge and sauna, which was such a fun experience. We were informed ahead of time that the restaurant would be closed for dinner on our second night, but a list of local restaurants were provided. We used this as an excuse to turn in early and selected Pizza in the Skye, for a quiet night. Phenomenal pizza option if the restaurant happens to be closed! We loved our stay here, would absolutely stay again!

I could write 45 pages on why this property is the best experience I ever had. The little cottages are so luxurious, the view is spectacular, it’s so quiet and elegant. The food is AMAZING and I never say that about any restaurant ever. They had healthy and delicious options, everything is sustainably sourced, and the staff is SPECTACULAR. I did not want to leave. The main lodge and restaurant is so beautiful and so modern and spotlessly clean. They also have a sweat lodge and a cold plunge and the most amazing hot tub with a view of the Skye Harbor. Do not stay anywhere else in Skye or Portree. You MUST stay here. This is not just a beautiful place to rest your head or grab a gourmet bite to eat… This is a full on amazing EXPERIENCE. The Staff is the BEST And you will never want to leave this place. Being there is like getting a giant hug every single day. I cannot wait to go back!!!!!!!!! Five stars all the way!

My husband and I had a rather interesting stay on the Isle of Skye during our Scotland vacation, but our stay at The Bracken Hide was one of the highlights of our time there. The property is gorgeous and in a perfect location...walkable to the city centre but just far enough away that you can really appreciate the Skye feeling...beautiful views! The bungalows were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the heated floors! They are a bit small, and there's not a whole lot of room for large amounts of luggage. However, all of the other amenities are there...TV, coffee, tea, etc. The gravel pathways to each area of the resort are a bit difficult to walk, particularly if you have rolling luggage or physical limitations. However, the staff have golf carts and can carry you/your luggage to and from your room as needed. All of the staff were so kind, caring, and helpful. For instance, on the evening we checked in, we were late arriving to the hotel due to car trouble, and we were starving. The kitchen and restaurant staff graciously agreed to stay after the restaurant had closed to accommodate us! And the food was amazing!!! Also during our stay, my husband became ill and was unable to travel. The hotel willingly accommodated us for an additional night, and the staff were so attentive and helpful. This hotel is a bit pricey compared to other accommodations in the area, but the quality of the facilities and service make it worthwhile!

Amazing hotel with fantastic views across the Isle of Skye and the surrounding sea. Modern, very “Bind villain” vibe to the main building, all the guest rooms are individual pods in the surrounding grounds. These are quite small but well done and very cosy. The food in the hotel was excellent - we had breakfast twice and a festive dinner one night, all amazing. Probably the best hotel on Skye and well worth it. Oh and all the staff were super helpful and friendly, and the bar did great cocktails. We’ll definitely be back.

Skye is a special place and Braken Hide is great. The restaurant is amazing. Incredible breakfast and dinner. Most amazing is the service of the head waiter who is unfailing friendly and efficient. The tiny rooms are actually quite comfy. The shower was outstanding -- great water pressure. Its hard to sit up in bed because of the sloping ceiling, but otherwise very comfy and efficient. Amazing view from the front porch.

We stayed in 9 different hotels during our trip to Scotland and the Bosville was our favorite of all! We booked the family of 3 room that included a full Scottish breakfast. The breakfast was incredible! When we checked in to the hotel, they had us select our breakfast time reservations for the following days. You order your choice of breakfast off the menu and are brought fresh fruit and breads and coffee and juice just to start. The food was wonderful! Our room was upstairs and had a lovely view of town and peekaboo view of the harbor. The beds were so comfortable, all the amenities were luxury! The bar had live music. I wish we could have stayed here longer!

Perfect hotel - outdone all 4 and 5 stars hotels I've stayed in in my life. Amazing staff that couldn't be more helpful and accommodating, perfect location right in Portree centre overlooking the iconic view, absolutely all comfort amenities such as bath robes, slippers, toiletries, water bottles in the room. Perfect cleanliness and everything is high quality. You can tell that people owning and working at the hotel really put heart and soul into everything they do as every little detail was though of. Our room was spacious and warmed up for when we arrived late. When my friend forgot earphones in the hotel, staff kindly mailed them back. Delicious food in the hotel restaurant too and it's very conveniently open later than all other places in town. Huge thank you to everyone at Bosville for your amazing work!

Beautiful Location. Following a 10 Hour Drive was relieved to get to the Hotel. Was disappointed that there was no parking, and the spaces in front of the hotel were all full, so had to offload my bags then go find a public car park. Only 100 metres away or so, but it was raining heavily and had to be off by 8.00am which was a Pain, following a very long Day. Staff were polite and professional on check in but not overly friendly, not sure that was just me though. Ordered the food and drinks in the Merchant Bar. Again staff were a little detached, but fast and efficient to be fair. Mussels were of a good quality and as there was no Steak Strangely (Think I Might Set up a Supply Chain as none of the restaurants seemed to offer it?) I went for the Burger which was fine Quality but on the expensive side for me, £25 for starter and Main! Lovely warm environment and very clean, finally lovely happy young lady bought out my Food with a smile, couldn't get much out of the 2 lads serving at the bar but fast and efficient to be sure, checked on me constantly, a little too often if I'm honest. Breakfast was excellent. The Continental breakfast was beautiful, but not for me, so I asked them to give it to another guest who would appreciate it. I ordered the Full Scottish and it was perfect! Yes I know you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. But if you don't receive feedback you cannot act on it. Images attached.

This town was so cute, we wish we could have stayed longer! The Bosville was very obviously a hub to this town that both people staying at the hotel and even people not staying at the hotel gravitated to. Their restaurant and bar being quite the attraction and understandably so. I would go back in a heartbeat just to have their Burger for dinner, and their croissants & oats for breakfast again-insanely delicious! The staff was also just superb, attentive, kind, and eager to help make anyone’s experience better. Cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. On top of it all, the shower and bed were terrific too! Was the perfect place to stop and feel refreshed after traveling for so long.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, and the room was very comfortable and well-decorated, even providing a Nespresso machine. Amazing view of Portree Harbour from our room too. Didn’t try the restaurant but the bar was really cosy. The hotel is also only 2 minutes walk to the main square. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What an amazing place. We found it by accident and are so glad we did. It had an actual king size bed - not that common outside of the US. The bed was so comfortable. The shower was amazing, towel warmer was fantastic, bath sheets were huge. The water, fruit and extras in the room were so nice. The view is incredible and to sit at breakfast every morning and look at the water was breathtaking. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Hotel is away from the center of town but an easy walk into town for restaurants, shopping, etc. The service was amazing. They went over and above on everything. We can’t say enough good things about this place.

Amazing staff, service, property & views!!! Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the views while relaxing in The Lounge. We enjoyed the food, service and view in The View Restaurant. Great location for exploring Isle of Skye.

My husband and I had stayed here in October 2024. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. We did not have a great room, as it was facing the car park and it was the only available room on Expedia. However, the beautifully decorated lounge area with a roaring fireplace, overlooking spectacular views, soon made up for the flaws in our room. The restaurant is excellent! We had a wonderful evening meal and breakfast there. The staff were very friendly, efficient and attentive. The location of the hotel was perfect with beautiful views of Portree.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing view. They upgraded our rooms complimentary and they were clean and comfy. The bathroom was great and same with the shower. The have Isle of skye soap which was a nice touch. The food at the restaurant was amazing. The staff was super friendly as well.

Beautiful hotel maintained to a high standard. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food in restaurant was amazing. We had lamb for main course. It melted in your mouth. Just amazing. Ambience was warm and welcoming. Particularly liked the open fire. The grounds and views remind you how beautiful our country is. We will be back.

The town is small but I appreciated the fact that the property is located close to the city center and easy to find. It had a sign so I didn't have to guess. Parking is avail. Quiet area. Nice presentable exterior, good first impression. My room was downstairs, small but tastefully decorated, nice, clean and warm whrn I got there (it was cold outside). That's really all I needed. It had tea and cookies which was great since it was late and I didn't feel like going out to eat. I had a private bathroom too. Small but nice, clean with a towel warmer, loved it! I want to call attention to the bed - white thick soft sheets, luxurious warm and comfortable. It makes all the difference in the world when traveling. It felt like my own bed! The bath towel was huge and thick! That was awesome! The host is very friendly gentlemen, helpful, great cook. He cooked bfast and even personally served it (I think he's a cheff or something) it was a first decent meal in days for me, delicious scrambled eggs with fresh coffee. There is a tiny cute collie that lives there, friendly and sweet, let me pet it. I am glad I booked this room, highly recommended if you are traveling to Skye Island.

Very enjoyable stay. Had a good sized bedroom, ample storage and seating for two, optional eating in room with utensils provided including use of a microwave. Bed large and comfortable. Amazing breakfast selection- cereals, fresh and dried fruits, juices, jams, every tea imaginable and freshly cooked breakfast by our host Stuart who was very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend this B&B to all travelers.

My stay at Gleann an Ronnaich was wonderful. The hosts were very accommodating and lovely to talk to. Breakfast was incredible, so many choices and fresh made every day to your preference! The room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The bed was so comfy! The bathroom was also very clean and the shower fantastic! I would definitely stay here again while visiting Skye!

Stewart and William have made a nice B&B very close to downtown Portree. The room was spacious and comfy. A nice tea & coffee station with snacks was provided in the room. We were welcomed by Stewart who was gracious to wait for us to check in later than the cut off time. We called ahead to tell him of our later arrival and it would be ok. He gave a quick tour and was on his way to Pilates. Breakfast was a grand treat! Stewart is a great host, chef, and tour guide giving us history information as well as places to watch out for on the isle. Like the pay to park road pull offs. His breakfast was amazing cooked to order and garnished with flowers from his own gardens! Out last morning there we needed to leave extra early to catch a ferry to Isle of Harris. He offered and was insistent to make us breakfast an hour earlier than normal to see us on our way. I would stay here again a fan I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Stewart and William for providing a great play to stay.

This was hands down the best BnB we have stayed at. The bed was so comfortable, the room clean and spacious with room to sit and watch TV. The breakfast was AMAZING with the biggest selection I’ve seen at a BnB. Stuart the host was great company, friendly, welcoming and approachable. He has thought of all the little extras you may need while away on holiday and made them readily accessible to make your stay easier

Portree is tiny so everything is nearby but the location is excellent. Right across the street from the town square with easy access to the major Skye and mainland buses. The view from the common room is of the harbour which is beautiful with the huge windows in there. Lovely to sit, have breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Full self-service kitchen with hot water always on tap to make a cup of tea and fridges, freezers, ovens, utensils, etc to cook when needed. Beds were comfy and warm, room, common areas very clean with lots of room to sit, lie down, eat, and board games and activities available. Nothing really to write home about but perfectly safe, clean, and comfortable for a solo female traveller hiking around Skye to rest in the evening. 99% of the people staying there were also hikers so if that’s your vibe, this is perfect.

From the moment we arrived, Susie was wonderful!! Provided us info to find what we needed in town prior to check in and was so helpful throughout the entirety of our stay. 4 bed dorms were comfortable, clean and guests were very respectful. Kitchen was fab and the lounge area with views was the perfect place to enjoy dinner! Parking was easy and £5 for 24 hours. Perfect base for guests wandering around Portree as well as those foung further afield. Looking forward to staying again!

I enjoyed the proximity of the Hostel to most things in Portree. It is only a 5 minute walk from the bus station/main square. Additionally, the kitchen was fully stocked with plates, bowls, cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. which is ideal if you are planning a longer stay. There's only a few restaurants in town that are open for dinner, so I would recommend getting groceries from the Co-Op down the street to make something! I also was glad that each room only had a small amount of guests per room. Definitely allowed me to get to know my roommates better and made communication easier in terms of wake-up/bedtime. The ensuite toilet and shower was also nice. The shower was spacious and was able to heat up at a comfortable temperature (for me, I enjoy very hot showers in such chilly damp weather).

The location was literally within view of Old Man of Storr. You could step out your door and see it (see photo). We got up at 5 a.m. and had a 10 minute drive to the hike. It was perfect! The setting is unique in that there are only 3 rental properties that have a view of Old Mann of Storr and this family owns all of them. They run a first class operation and the amenities are exceptional in all respects. The house was stocked with snacks, food, drink, fresh eggs, lovely soaps, lotions, his and hers bath robes and slippers, heated floor in the bathroom, and more! Fiona was extremely helpful and responsive. She answered her phone and responded immediately. She also texted us to let us know that we could view the northern lights on one evening. So thoughtful! This rental is a dream destination and one you could just stay in for the sheer pleasure of being pampered. Bucket list must!!

Wow! This was an amazing stay/ experience! We didn’t want to leave. The apartment is spacious and so well appointed. It’s cosy, well decorated, bed comfortable, good linen, great lounge area, good view and parking right outside. Close to everything. Lovely to find a welcome bottle of wine and treats. Fridge was stocked with some breakfast basics. There is a washing machine and a separate dryer, which was very handy. It’s just a stunning apartment! It has ruined my husband though. He’s turning his nose up at our next destination because it’s not like our Storr Apartment! lol!

The Storr Apartments exceeded our expectations. The apartment was beautiful and spacious with contemporary furnishings. The view from our windows was amazing. We even had a close up view of cows from our kitchen window! Fiona provided lots of extras! From a comfy robe to delicious snacks and even a bottle of wine. Portree is not a walking distance, but we had no trouble finding a taxi. Fiona left a list of drivers to call.

What an amazing place to stay. We rented both apartments and had a wonderful time. The apartments are beautifully designed and spacious. Right across the road from the Loch with lovely views and really peaceful. The added groceries were a pleasant surprise and made for a tasty breakfast the next day. There is so much to do on the Isle of Skye and one of our favourites was driving around the peninsula, breath-taking.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Storr Apartments. I have nothing negative to say about the place. The location was great - beautiful and peaceful and within site of the Old Man of Storr formation. The accommodations were superb, well-designed, imaginative, and relaxing. The place was well-stocked for breakfast the following morning and also with numerous snacks and even a good bottle of wine. We got rained out one of our days and the Storr Apartment was the perfect place to hole up for the day, dine in, drink wine, and just enjoy the perfect shelter from the storm. We would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you Fiona for a wonderful place to stay while visiting the Isle of Skye.

The cottage was so cozy and clean. Also, the beds were so comfortable. The best ones we've slept in the whole trip. Hazel was friendly and helpful.

The location of the unit was excellent. Located within easy walk of downtown Portree (the largest town in Isle of Skye), yet far enough that it was quiet. The unit itself was spacious, clean and comfortable for 4 adults. Living/dining area had plenty of seating. Kitchen had all the amenities needed. A key reason for booking the unit was access to washer/dryer as we were on a 2 week trip. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of outlets throughout. Felt very at home. We had a minor hiccup upon arrival. I reached out to Hazel and she replied quickly to address the issue. Greatly appreciate her responsiveness. If you are considering booking this rental. I would highly recommend it.

My family and I had a great time at Hazel’s apartment. Through the weather wasn’t the best, all Hazel provided made this place like a home: Kitchen facilities also helped a lot to make a simple dinner and breakfast if you purchase vegetables, fruits, and breads; all rooms were tidy and cozy for a stay; toilet are clean with heater can dry your towel as well. The apartment has a place where you can park car free, very conviennent if you drive. Just a bit far to walk to the centre (maybe because of the storm during my stay) I also would like to thank Hazel for finding my lost AirPods and helped to post to my next travel destination!

The directions and instructions to get into the property were well described and accurate. Parking space provided. Unit was very clean and had modern appliances. Owner left some coffee, milk and oatmeal for our use. Very thoughtful. Walkable to town area.

This place is super clean! Very quiet and cozy. Perfect location.

We loved our stay at Edinbane Lodge! The rooms were so well-thought-out, and with modern conveniences in a charmingly-historic building. They were clean and comfortable, and had nifty windows that opened in ways we had not seen before. Room One was very spacious! The staff were so friendly, and nothing was an inconvenience for them; they truly made our visit even more enjoyable. While we did not have dinner at the Lodge, I can certainly say do not miss BREAKFAST! It was perfect! Parking was ample. The location was away from the more touristy areas of Skye, which added to the charm, and the roads were decently-maintained and not narrow. The little village around the Lodge is also very nice, especially Edinbane Pottery. Portree was a short drive away for the Co-op(s) and restaurants. Dunvegan Castle & Gardens was very close by, and also the restaurant called The Misty. Even when driving to places a bit further afield, such as The Storr and Talisker, the drive was really reasonable and we barely noticed it with all of the beautiful scenery, and sheep :) Note: I recommend arriving for check-in before dinner, if on a day when dinner is served, as the stairs to the rooms are in one of the dining areas.

We cannot wait to come back. Pros Everything! The room (there are only 4) was perfect! We stayed in a junior suite which had a little seating area with tv, mini bar, coffee maker. Just perfect. We were greeted by Katie when we arrived and she is awesome. Every staff member we encountered were awesome. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was the best breakfast we had during our 12 day tour of Scotland. Dinner was extra but well worth it and I highly recommend. The chef, who is also a local and the owner is amazing. We had a tasting menu for dinner that showed exactly how far away all the ingredients were sourced from. This is one of the many things I loved here, they are committed to providing the freshest and locally sourced food. The bed was so comfortable, we didn’t want to get up. All the amenities that we needed/wanted. This place is perfect, we will be back and hope to stay longer next time. Cons: None Tips: It’s a bit of a drive from Portree, and GPS on our rental car didn’t pick it up, had to use my phone, but we loved that it was far away from the city. Also, plan to eat here when you stay, you wont regret it as the food is excellent, but there are really no other options close by. Try to arrive before dark as it is outside the city and may be difficult to locate after sunset.

We stayed in room 6, the river view king suite, and it was so luxurious. The room and bed were so comfortable, we had a great outdoor patio, and the bathrooms were really nice! We ate at the restaurant and had the tasting menu with the wine pairing, which was delicious. It was really fun learning about new European wines as we’re from the states. Breakfast everyday was amazing too. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We wish we stayed more nights here, but we’ll savor the memories!

Clean and quiet rooms, sound proofed well. Good complimentary selection of coffee, tea and light snacks. Friendly wonderful staff. Shower water pressure was wonderful and run very hot-had one of the best showers out of all the places we stayed on this trip. The soups were boutique and had a wonderful smell as well. Delicious dinner tasting menu (although on the expensive side for the amount and variety of dishes included) on offer from the restaurant, well thought out and inventive. Breakfast was good as well, with a selection of egg dishes, bread, and porridge.

Beautiful hotel, really amazing, friendly and helpful hotel employees. We had few issues with the room after first night and hotel, even that we didn't asked for anything specific - upgraded us to amazing room, so basically we forgot about issues and enjoyed the stay. But anyway, my suggestion is that 5 star hotel can't have such obvious issues with rooms like missing hangers in bathroom, phone that lights up by itself every 30 minutes like a flashlight, very loud refrigerator and most importantly - bed mattresses, that are obviously totally worn out plus synthetic sheets and pillows. These are the details, that makes 5 star hotel a 5 star hotel. But just because the hotel found a solution for us, without us asking anything specific - I will rate it 9. Breakfast - perfect. Dinner tasting menu in restaurant - 10/10 - that was one of the best tasting menus we ever had.

The location for the Rosedale is spectacular!! You look right out to Portree Harbour which is stunning! Our room was spacious and lovely!! The staff was friendly and welcoming, not to mention so helpful! The breakfast was delicious! There were lots of options and the staff in the restaurant were professional and efficient! We had dinner at the restaurant as well. It was delicious! We would definitely recommend the Rosedale!

The staff were super helpful, friendly and welcoming. We loved the character of the building, and most of all the view from our room of the port was incredible (recommend getting a top story room)! The restaurant was also really great with fresh and tasty breakfast and dinner options (the included breakfast was a welcome bonus as well).

Our stay at the Rosedale Hotel was such a pleasure, mainly due to the efforts of Piotr Pirek who made our stay so very memorable. Piotr was attentive, friendly, and professional and seemed to be the man who could and did handle all situations at the Rosedale Hotel. He recommended restaurants for dinner and suggested local sites to visit. He also served as bartender, dinner and breakfast host and waiter, and the all-around man who could and did get anything and everything done. Rosedale Hotel largely owes its success to Piotr and his staff. Otherwise, we enjoyed the proximity to the center of town and the quiet solitude of being able to open our windows at night to listen to the lapping of the water and the sound of the gulls.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, right in front of the pier, offering a breathtaking view. My room seemed to have been recently renovated, with a modern and excellent bathroom. The view from the window was absolutely stunning. Breakfast was lovely, with a good selection of food. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it!

the location was great. the view was amazing right outside was the harbour. staff were friendly and welcoming and helpful. food was exceptional. parking is limited but near by are 24hr car parks that are not too expensive. on arrival they give you a little map of near by parking. the room was of good size, comfy bed, shower was powerful, kettle, hairdryer in room and a tv.

We loved the location, the food was exceptional both in the evening and the breakfast (good selections, local food, well-presented), the staff was lovely, very helpful and engaged. The night of our dinner, John was by himself and we didn't notice at all. The bar was super cozy and the hotel is convenient if you want to start on a hike, first thing in the morning. Dinner was fabulous and so was breakfast. Bonus points on the fantastic bathroom! Got a bath and shower, freshly renovated. Highly recommend, will come again.

Hotel is spotless and the staff are so friendly and you know you are looked after well and safe and can relax. Food excellent and hot and freshly cooked to order. I couldn’t honestly fault anything. Hotel is on a main arterial central location on the island and our room looked out to the Black Cuillin mountains - opening curtains to see that - Wow! Good for the soul. Had a lovely stay here. Seamus’s bar adjoining it is spacious, again clean. Food was very good and a busy bustling vibe. Cost for the hotel or bar meals some may consider pricier however it’s an island and prices comparable across the Highlands and Islands hotels and hospitality venues - portion sizes were huge here - so just budget for it all and enjoy because everywhere else much same but not as good, hot and meal size portion to here. Chill and enjoy and have a good time as we had. Faultless and the Sligachan is going to be my return to hotel of choice on Skye for next time. An overall comfortable and rested stay. Thank you Sligachan - see you again later this year and next …

The staff was lovely and very welcoming, the location is amazing (just take two steps out of the door and you're in the middle of Scottish nature with the mountains of Skye as a jaw-dropping décor) and Seumas bar is around the corner where they have an amazing array of choice in local beers and whiskeys and good food. The rooms are modern and clean, but not so spacious... The bar in the hotel itself is lovely, but the restaurant area could do with a bit of an update :)

The hotel is in an amazing location for the stunning views and accessibility around the island.I notice we were given the same room as a previous guest who didn't like it.We loved the room.We found it plush cosy quiet and private . Clearly it had been recently refurbished and they had done a lovely job.I liked the bar area which was very cosy and the breakfast room was lovely.the breakfast was delicious.

We loved everything about this hotel. The location is ideal for exploring Skye. You can walk out the door and start hiking. Drive to the right and you're headed toward Talisker and Fairy Pools. To the left, Portree, Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, Dunvegan Castle, and the Quirang. The hotel is perfect. Beautiful, practical rooms with comfortable beds, a nice closet, and plenty of light. The bathroom has an amazing shower and, the rarest of all Scottish unicorns...washcloths! Towels are huge and water pressure is terrific. Parking is free. Breakfast was included with our rate, and it is delicious! Lots of choices from full Scottish to avocado toast. The restaurant next door, Seumas's, is also a bar. Food is pretty great and the service is excellent. Lots of beers and whiskies, too. Shout out to Marion who made our stay especially wonderful. She is a gem of a human.
