We booked suite rooms with hot tubs. Rooms have much more space than we thought. Breakfast was great. They have varieties for breakfast, fresh fruits, and strawberry yogurt. Overall experienced were good.

Very helpful staff. We left our luggage here for a week, while we were traveling around the country with no additional fee. Close to main restaurant and store street in Flamengo area and very close to Flamengo beach.

Pelo que o pessoal falou no Google fiquei com medo de vir, mas valeu muuuuito a pena! Fiquei no 4 andar. A localização é perfeita. Fiz um passeio pela praça do Flamengo, com um pôr do sol muito bonito! A praça é grande e muito bem estruturada. Fomos andando por mais de 2kms até perto da praia de Botafogo. Fica perto do bar do Zeca Pagodinho. Perto de tudo! O quarto tinha muuuito espaço. O ar condicionado era de janela, mas estava gelando bem. Os funcionários eram bem simpáticos e solícitos, nos ajudaram com as malas, e deixaram nossas malas guardadas para ajudar na nossa gestão dos passeios. Tanto na entrada quando na saída do hotel. Detalhe que a academia não é do hotel, mas eles dão um voucher e você vai numa academia bem pertinho para treinar. Se você está em dúvida sobre ir ou não a esse hotel. Eu recomendo! Voltaria novamente, porque tem muita coisa perto desse hotel. Para a sua logística de passeios ele é muito bom. Ficamos dois dias aqui e 3 dias em Copacabana. Todas essas fotos fizemos andando do hotel. Fomos à noite para o bar do Zeca, que fica há 300m do hotel. Muito bom! Saímos de lá quase as 23h00 e estava bem tranquilo. Sem aperreio de insegurança.

Conveniently located in a vibrant neighborhood with plenty of shops, groceries, restaurants all within a 3 min. walk. Rio metro is also 3 min. away providing easy and quick access to Copacabana, Botafogo and the city center. Additionally, close to Rio's famous sights like Sugarloaf and Corcovado mountains and all the beaches. Plenty of choices for breakfast.

The hotel is beautiful, convenient and offers stunning views of Praia Da Gavea (Sao Conrado). We got the junior suite and it was a great value and very spacious with breathtaking views. Our stay came with a free breakfast buffet every day (lunch and dinner are offered but you have to pay and it's like $70 for 2 people). There is a lovely bar in the huge lobby area where they make excellent drinks. You can also buy water and cokes to go. You can even take your cocktail with you to the room! The pool is big and climate controlled. The bar is nice and the waiters will bring you drinks and food. You are given key cards for towel service which you can also take across the street to the beach (they rent beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach for next to nothing). There's a great gym, sauna and spa on site. We were there for Carnival so there was lots of traffic but the area is easily accessible by taxi and is close to Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana as well as Barra de Tijuca in the other direction. We took a cab to Corcovado for the Christ Redeemer even all the way to Lapa which was expensive..to save money take the subway in Rio then grab a cab in Leblon to Sao Conrado, it's like 5-10 minutes away. As for the cons my biggest complaint is that the front desk staff, some of the pool bartenders and restaurant hostesses tend to not be very warm. Frankly they looked stressed out, like they had a tyrannical boss or something. When we checked out no one said goodbye

We stayed for 4 nights in October 2025. Were we’re on the 25th floor with a wonderful sea view and a very spacious suite. Breakfast was great; big selection and lots of sweet things if that’s what you like. Dinner was a choice of a la carte or buffet. We tried both and preferred the variety of the buffet. The younger waiters were much more friendly than the older guys. The bar area was good and we were fascinated by the speed of the cocktail chap. A special hello to Pedro C who was very friendly and looked after us very well. The only issue we had was with loud music being played in another room between 18.39 and 23.30 one evening. Despite reporting it to the front desk at around 19.30, the music continued. If you like a nice beach and a more quiet setting than Ipenema or Copacabana, this is a perfect hotel

Hotel is located in a mostly residential area therefore the surroundings are not as lively as other areas like Ipanema and Copacaba. For us it was ideal since we were travelling with kids. We always felt very safe, even when walking outside at night. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Everything was helpful. They have a top rated bar tender, I forgot his name now, but he makes some amazing drinks. The rooms were clean, our suite was huge, and the views from the room were amazing. Breakfast was tasty a a huge selection. I wold definetely stay again if back in Rio.

You will see the owner himself helping out in the mornings during this time. I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now. Ipanema has the best restaurants, but that’s only a short Uber drive away. This hotel has a fantastic Peruvian Restaurant just a couple of blocks away and a very good all-you-can eat Brazilian style restaurant as well as many little places to eat that are perfect for lunch and sitting outside. Definitely go to the local soccer club store, Flamengo, also a couple of blocks away. Get a jersey with your name and number on it of your choice. The fun never stops here in and around the Royal Rio Palace Hotel in Copacabana.

The staff is extremely friendly . We had 4 rooms and they were clean and bathrooms amazing! The rooms are a little dated and need some repairs and updates but that does not mean it is not clean! Check-in was great quick and easy, the resturant had great food and breakfast was AMAZING!!! With a large variety to pick from, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, pao de ceijo, flan, breads cereals and fruits and so on and so on, we made sure we made it to breakfast everyday.. thank you for a wonderful experience in your hotel, with a team that was warm friendly and inviting what more could we have asked for!

I just stayed here 2 weeks. The property was deceiving from the pictures. Not exactly the quality portrayed. The place could use some updates. The breakfast spread was really good but was crowded if you don’t get there early. I recommend being early and you won’t be disappointed. The cleaning staff was very unfortunate. I know different staff clean different rooms so I can’t speak for all. The cleanliness of the over all hotel was good. The surrounding area was to be expected. I came to Brazil and stayed in the city. There is a lot of poverty. That being said there was so many fantastic little restaurants to eat at. Places you wouldn’t expect. There was an amazing little coffee shop straight down the road on the way to the beach. The tours the hotel provides were great. The staff at the front desk were incredible. They were so helpful, polite and gentleman. I forget the gentleman’s name but he is a jujitsu instructor. He was great and so were all his colleagues. They made my stay at the hotel worth it. Pleasure seeing them each day. I would recommend this place to a friend. Hospitality and politeness go along way and I feel I got that here.

The staff were excellent - welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived, Amazing included breakfast. Pool could have opened earlier or breakfast finish later as it was a rush to both have a morning swim and breakfast. Very convenient location close to Metro

I enjoyed my stay at the Royal Rio Palace Hotel. It was perfectly located two blocks from Copacabana Beach. The rooms are modern and elegant. The breakfast buffet was impressive and had so many options you couldn’t try them all. It is in a safe area and centrally located. They have rooftop pools if the beach isn’t your thing or an indoor pool for wet days. We will return when we come back to Rio.

This is a perfect place to stay in Rio. The building is residential building with 24 hour security in the lobby, rooftop pool, gym and a small self service shop. Metro station is about 10 min by walk, VLT (tram) stop just short walk from the building. Restaurants, bars, street vendors everything is nearby. It's perfect place if you plan to go to the football games. The city centre is safe in daytime, at night time I would recommend to use Uber taxi like anywhere else in the world.

I love everything about the property. This is my third time staying here. Very good people very professional very clean. They have a rooftop pool. They have a gym. They also have a little shopping center down the street. It’s local to everything in the central location. I’m very safe and Security using facial recognition very good. I love it ain’t I’m a digital nomad. The Internet is so good 300 downloading 300 upload fiber optic.

So, while there were no children or babies around, many baby-making activities were going on in full swing. Yup, folks, good ol' hanky-panky, as the screams and moans from neighbouring rooms attested to. What my room was lacking in window space, it amply made up in mirrors: both on the wall and the ceiling. On the whole, I had a rather nice stay: the above-mentioned peculiar circumstances allowed for a peaceful and intimate vacation experience, free from the noise and commotion of the bustling metropolis. To add to this sense of seclusion, breakfast was served in my room. It was here that I first tried, and became enamoured with, pizza with cinnamon and bananas.

The breakfast is very nice, delivered to your room and picked up afterwards. The location is nice, 24h reception, clean rooms.

Very discreet and quiet. Good spot for romance or laid back and take some time off. No regrets. Plannin' to go back whenever I can. Cheers!

We had a partial view of the beach, which was just amazing. Super location in a good area of Copacabana, easy beach access with a reserved area for the hotel. A thoroughly great stay in Rio, would totally recommend.

We arrived early in the morning and were able to access our room for an additional cost. Great location - short walk across the road to Copacobana beach! Hotel provided use of chairs + umbrellas. Comfortable bed + pillows. Buffet breakfast - wow!! champagne included, great selection of food, juices, coffee, and the chef made the perfect soft boiled eggs (to order). My husband had soft poached eggs, delicious! Restaurant staff were very attentive and topped up coffee/wine frequently, and tables were cleared and prepared efficiently. The concierge was very helpful. All front of house staff were tremendous. Roof top pool beautiful and great views of Copacobana beach. Plenty of sunbeds, table, chairs, and towels.

We spent ages deciding on where to stay in Rio and were so pleased we chose this hotel as our stay was perfect. We had a beautiful big, comfortable room facing Copacabana beach. The room was spotlessly clean with a very large comfortable bed and everything needed was provided. The sun rise which we watched from our room was spectacular. We found all the staff in the hotel amazing and that made our stay. The people on the front desk were so helpful and so were the restaurant staff and porters. All the porters greeted us with smiles when we went in and out and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, what a selection of everything including loads of lovey fresh fruit, nuts and seeds. There was also hot food. This is an extremely well run and managed hotel and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else if we return to Rio which is the most beautiful city we’ve been to and despite warnings we felt safe there. One tip for getting around easily is use Uber, compared to at home they are unbelievably cheap.

Location was perfect for us. The hotel is opposite post number 5, right on the beach so handy for relaxing or swimming as well as walking to Ipanema, the Fort and local restaurants. The staff at the hotel spoke English and were all very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean with towels changed every day. The beds were very comfortable with great pillows. We were on the 13th floor and the lifts were very efficient. The rooftop bar and pool was nice with great views of Rio. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of hot and cold food catering to every taste. The only problem we had was that the lighting in the room was poor. However, this didn't take away from what was a fantastic holiday.

As a first-time visitor to Rio, I was glad that we chose Miramar as our hotel. It is ideally located around the midpoint of Copacabana Beach. We had a deluxe ocean-view room with fantastic views of the beach. All the staff was friendly, attentive and efficient, especially the concierge. The complimentary buffet breakfast was fantastic and had a wide variety of options. I especially enjoyed the detox juice, the local fruits such as papaya, guava and mango, and the variety of bread. The service in the restaurant was excellent. We were also treated to complimentary chocolates in our room which was a nice touch. If you like to drink something hot before bed, please note that there is no kettle in the room and there is a cost to use the coffee maker. As a result, we had to order tea and hot chocolate from room service most nights. I found their service to be excellent as our orders were always delivered promptly.

We paid for early check in and had requested no feathers due to feather allergy. We had to ask 2 times to get the pillows changed. We traveled for 13+ hours and paid for early check in but was unable to take a nap because of the feather pillows.

I loved the room and the Art Deco design of the entire building. The manager was very kind and accommodating. They let me store my luggage on my last day so that I could sightsee a little more before my flight. They also helped me log back into WiFi to call an Uber, even though I was already checked out. The pool and steam room were very nice. I loved having a Jacuzzi bathtub and bidet also. The location is about 1.5 blocks from the beach. Very convenient location near restaurants, a grocery store and pharmacy.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would gladly return. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, thanks to Adejoan, Pablo, and Carla, who ensured everything went smoothly. The location is unbeatable—a 24-hour supermarket just half a block away, the metro station three blocks away, Copacabana Beach only two blocks away, and all within walking distance of the iconic Pedra do Arpoador and Ipanema Beach. It’s also conveniently situated near two main avenues with a wide variety of restaurants and excellent public transportation options. The front desk staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, arranging reasonably priced tours to Rio’s top attractions. Valeria’s warm smile at the breakfast buffet made every morning a delight, and the breakfast itself was fantastic. On cooler days, relaxing with a caipirinha by the heated pool or unwinding in the sauna was the perfect way to end the day. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations!

Location was amazing, only few minutes from copacabana beach. Heated pool was perfect for this time of year. Breakfast was delicious Reception team of Andre, Marcus, Egodio and Christian were very helpful. Cleaning staff were also very good and kept the room spotless. Good overall value for money.

We had three nights here after a four week cruise from England, and it was fabulous. We came straight from the ship and were fortunate to be able to check in early as the room was ready, this was much appreciated as we had a lot of luggage. The room was huge as was the bathroom. Great selection of hot and cold food for breakfast, great coffee too. Rooftop pool just what we needed to cool down. The hotel is very central, just a few minutes walk to the beach. Special thanks to Pablo on reception, we were so grateful to him. He recommended excellent places to eat, booked trips and taxis for us, and was generally very helpful. Thanks also to Adejoan and Sillas and all the staff, they were amazing. Three days here wasn’t long enough. We had a late flight and they kindly stored our luggage till we were ready to leave. Thanks for a wonderful time at the Riale Vilamar.

The room was big and spacious. I really appreciated that they gave us connecting rooms since we had kids traveling with us. The staff was friendly. The big tub was nice for a deep bath. The hotel may not be in the best part of Rio but it is a very nice hotel. Our twin bed room was very clean, comfortable and spacious with a lovely bathroom with powerful shower. Breakfast was very good with a choice of hot or cold food. We had dinner a couple of evenings and the food was excellent and service from the waiting staff was excellent. We would definitely stay here again and the prices were very reasonable.

The staff is amazing, I asked to change the room and they did it and very friendly. The hotel is old but I think is very well maintained. I asked a front view and it was great.

About 3 blocks to Coco beach and 6 to Ipanema but hotels on the beach can be just as far from the good part of the beach. No view of the beach but about half the cost or less of beach views. Nice rooftop with pool, and really decent gym and lounges. Would be great to have more TV channels but you can get YouTube and Netflix. Big breakfast. Good value for the price. We had stayed at Orla which was nice but almost twice as expensive and smaller rooms.

The room was spacious. It had a safety deposit box, very convenient in Río. Good location, you reach Copacabana beach in a 5 minutes' walk. The buffet breakfast is good. Ask for a room on one of the lower floors, otherwise you'll waste time waiting for the elevator.Comfortable beds. Nice area, quite safe to walk at nights. There's a nearby supermarket.

Had a great stay at this hotel and keen to come back. The pool was lovely, the breakfast plentiful, cocktails delicious and well priced - just under 30 for a caprihinia. Good location for sunset or dinner options. Best of all were the staff who were super friendly and helpful, really appreciated them.

Good hotel. That whole street across from Copacabana Beach is lined with hotels. This one seemed like a good choice because it offered a "family suite" that had a king bed for the parents, plus a twin bed for our teenager. When we checked in, it was a pleasant surprise that they actually gave us two adjoining rooms for that reservation, so our teenager got her own room with two twin beds and her own bathroom. The rooms had an "ocean view" in the sense that you were facing a side street, but you could look to one side and see the ocean and beach (or look the other way and see the Christ statue on a hill.) The roof of the hotel had a small swimming pool. There was no hottub but the roof level had great views day and night and offered another dining option. There was also a restaurant on the ground floor that did a decent breakfast buffet, including ingredients to make sandwiches for lunches. The hotel loaned out towels you could take to the beach and had responsive bilingual people always available at the front desk. It's a nice neighborhood, but anywhere in Rio, even nice areas like this, tourists need to use caution. We didn't have any problems with crime, but were careful about where we walked at night and left valuables in the safes in our rooms rather than carrying around full wallets, etc.

We reserved a Family Suite which advertised having a king bed for parents plus a twin bed for a kid. What they gave us seemed like an upgrade compared to what was advertised: two adjoining rooms, one with a king bed, the other with two twin beds, so that our kid got her own room with its own bathroom. It did have an ”ocean view” in the sense that it faced a side street, but you could look to one side and see the beach and ocean (and look the other way to see the hill with the Christ.) There was a small swimming pool on the roof. There wasn’t a hot tub, but the roof had excellent views day and night, and the roof level offered additional dining options. There was also a restaurant on the ground floor where we had a decent breakfast buffet every morning, which included fixings to make sandwiches for lunch as well. We also tried dinner in the restaurant once, although that area has lots of other dining options. The location is a beautiful world famous beach in a nice neighborhood, right next to the famous Copacabana Palace. Even in a great part of Rio like this, we were still concerned about crime, and took precautions about where we walked at night and kept valuables such as our wallets in the room safe instead of carrying everything around with us.

It was an amazing experience with my baby and my husband. we went to Río for vacations and we felt so good at the Americas Granada Hotel. The check In was good, the stay also and everybody in there made us feel so comfortable and welcome. The location is good, easy to go and to walk around. Feeling happy with the stance.

Breakfast was good. Although I stay like 10 days. So it became boring the last days, as it is the same menu every day. I got the double bed i requested. The room and bathroom are big, even with 3 suitcases and all. Everything looks quite new and clean.

This property is located on a prime section of Copacabana Beach. The view from the room to the beach is amazing. The bed is comfortable. Breakfast is varied and tasty with great service.

Perfect location right on the beach front, with security always at reception which made me feel much safer. The hotel was very nice with good breakfast options and a rooftop pool with great views of copacabana beach front and even the christ the redeemer could be seen! The room was a really good size as was the bathroom. I really enjoyed my stay here and would book again if ever returned to rio! Reception was also really helpful and had day tours available which they could book for you to help make to most of your stay. Which again made me feel alot safer and was a great day out visiting the highlights of rio.

You can see it from the pool area on roof top terrace also.I believe rooms below level 12 do not have a view. Infinity pool is fantastic, and the terrace is a great place to have a drink whilst enjoying the view. Everything very clean, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good selection, and we ate a reasonably priced buffet meal there one night.Only one thing/person spoiled our experience at this hotel. Our flight home was in the evening. We were told last checkout was 1.30pm. We decided to check out after breakfast to allow staff to clean our room etc , WRONGLY assuming staff would allow us to take a shower & change in the pool area, or fitness centre. The guy on reception asked his manager Snr VANDERLEI, who said we could not shower or change, only eat at the roof terrace bar.This left a very SOUR taste. We had already made it clear we planned to buy lunch and drinks, so it wasn't as if we were asking for a complete freebie! We felt very upset about this, and would have had lunch elsewhere if time had allowed. The pool was in fact totally empty! Having stayed in 7 other hotels on our tour, none of the others had such a mean attitude. We will not be back & will not recommend

The hotel is amazing, the rooms are beautifull with very good bathrooms, the bed wa sooooo good.9 The restaurant downstairs, the rooftop pool with an amazing vieuw! You can have lunch and dinner at the rooftoo, the peope working there, especially Joao Pedro from the rooftop bar! It is a quiet, nice place just outside rio, 5 min walk to the beach of Icarai, with many amazing restaurants! Ideal if you want to get out of rio, but still have the possibility to go sight seeing in the city. Its an amazing safe area, wich can be said about the city of Rio de Janeiro. I loved it here the hotel exceeded all expectations. Note: the pool is heated during the evening! I havent had any other hotel in brazil doing that so an extra bonus

The hotel is very nice! Rooms, while a bit small, are comfortable. Breakfast buffet is excellent! Top floor open bar is a great place for cocktails, light food and wonderful views! If you can, be there for the sunset. The views of the mountains and beach are are priceless. Also, it is walking distance to the beach & restaurants nearby. I have stayed here 3 times already and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Staff were very helpful on arrival. A really nice hotel. We upgraded to a sea view balcony and it had no table or chairs. It would have been nice to sit out on the balcony and admire the view. There’s no kettle or coffee maker in the room, again no big deal but this would have been a nice addition to be able to enjoy the room to the max.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Othon Palace Rio! The location is perfect, right in front of Copacabana Beach, with beautiful views and easy access to everything. The rooms are comfortable, and the hotel has a welcoming atmosphere that made my trip even more enjoyable. I want to give special recognition to Márcio Rodrigues (Recepção) and Thiago Silva (Recepção). Their service went above and beyond—both were extremely professional, kind, and attentive. Even after I checked out, they helped me store my luggage safely, which allowed me to enjoy the rest of my day in Rio stress-free. We just spent a week in a Luxury Suite right in front of the ocean, and the view is simply breathtaking — nothing beats waking up to Copacabana right outside your window. The suite is huge, the bed super comfortable, and having two bathrooms was a real plus. That said, since we were in one of the older rooms (1612), it’s clear the place could use some updates. Furniture and bathrooms look dated, and when we arrived the balcony glass was pretty dirty — but to be fair, the staff fixed it right away after we asked. The AC worked fine, just a bit noisy sometimes. What really makes the difference here is the service. From the VIP reception to room service, and especially the teams at Skylab and the poolside bar, everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. This was our second holiday at Rio Othon, and thanks to the amazing staff and the unbeatable location, it definitely won’t be our last!

Stayed here for 4 nights and everything was great! Tatiana and Marcelo at the check in desk were very helpful and friendly, all other staff that I interacted with were also very nice. Food at the breakfast buffet, Skylab, and lobby Sushi restaurant was all delicious. You can’t beat the location either and the views are amazing, I would definitely stay here again!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The place was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a cozy bed and a bathroom that exceeded my expectations the shower had amazing water pressure and hot water, which is sometimes a rare treat since hotels often only have warm water. The cleaning staff were always smiling and attentive, making the stay even more pleasant. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and very well served, adding a great start to each day. Overall, I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and excellent service.

We stayed at Mirasol Copacabana for 2 nights and it met our expectations well. The highlight was the huge bed, the biggest I've ever seen. There was a shower but no bath in the bathroom. The breakfast was very good, buffet style, with a range of pastries, cakes, fruits, meats and cheeses, breads, scrambled eggs, etc. We spent some time on the rooftop loungers one afternoon, but I didn't use the pool. The pool was very small and had a few sun loungers next to it. There were some additional tables and chairs near the small bar, and a nice raised area with a couple of loungers and some other comfortable seating. Pool towels were available free of charge. There appeared to be some renovations/building work happening on some of the floors of the hotel, but it did not affect our stay. The location is perfect, taking just a couple of minutes to walk to Copacabana beach straight down the road. Beach towels were available from reception for free. There was a R$20 fee if you want to store your bags at the hotel prior to check-in if you arrive early. We stayed in two similar hotels by Copacabana and they were quite similar. I think probably most of the 4-star hotels in the area offer a similar experience so I would go with whichever gives a good price at your time of booking.

This hotel is very close to the beach. Walkable everywhere. The staff were great. Very friendly and professional. I would definitely stay here again. The price was ok to be so close to the beach. The breakfast was delicious. I definitely stay here again.

This was is not easy to rate, as i appreciated the staff but the facilities did not match my expectations. Breakfast was the highlight of my stay, excellent variety and service. Fresh fruits on the table day after day. Like i said staff was excellent, from my cleaning lady, the gentleman who checks room numbers at the restaurant, i witnessed him go above and beyond to other guests while I was checking out at the lobby. Both manager and receptionist staff i interacted with were super friendly and accommodating. Hotel super well located, couple steps away from the beach, and several stores, restaurants, shopping mall, subway, etc.

Positives. Spacious apartment in a secure building, very generous breakfast, close to the beach and a supermarket. Very friendly staff. Quiet and clean, great daily service. Some negatives. Upon checkin, we were given a document to sign, which was only in Portuguese (which we do not speak). The receptionist translated it roughly but it was 1.5 pages, so we just signed trusting the oral translation. There was only cold water in the kitchen, no dishwasher either. Gas stove in kitchen can be intimidating to people not having used gas appliances.

The apartment is big and cozy. It is closed to the beach and the restaurant area. The staff provides coffee and food for making the breakfast.

Staff are fantastic especially Vivianna. Apartments are modern clean and well maintained

The hotel is not brand new but the rooms were spacious, clean and very well cared for. The breakfast buffet is an incredible spread with so many fresh and delicious options for all. We enjoyed our time and the hotel so much extended our trip to stay an extra night because it was that awesome! But the best part of this hotel was hands down the staff and service. You truly feel you are in a 5 star hotel with the amazing level of service. I wish I could name all who helped us but everyone from the check in, front desk to the servers and bartenders, to all the staff at breakfast and the security guards, bellman, housekeeping, every single staff member treated us with the utmost level of kindness and superb service. This is what made our stay so memorable! Ok and the views plus location can’t be beat either! We are planning another trip to Rio next year so we can stay at the Windsor even longer! Thank you for a fabulous stay and for your commitment to providing excellent customer service!

Fabulous property right across from the beach. The room was clean, comfortable and safe. The buffet breakfast each morning was wonderful and the staff was amazing. Especially enjoyed the tub. The rooftop pool was amazing, also.

Not sure why Expedia displays this hotel as a 5 stars. I would give it 3.5-4 starts tops. WiFi connection at the hotel is absolutely awful. It’s super slow (whenever works) and it drops every 5 minutes. I complained to the staff and reception and they couldn’t do anything to fix it. The toilet doesn’t work well either. No power or pressure. You flush it and not even your urine goes down until you flush it a few times lol. Hotel is in front of the beach but rooms have no balcony lol. The bedroom has a nice bed, shower is also nice, breakfast descent. This hotel is not a 5 stars lol. If you need WiFi for your computer, something more important than just navigating for pleasire, beware it won’t work here ‘

Our trip to Rio was initially planned as a work conference though my family was able to join me. Overall, the hotel itself was gorgeous. Impeccably clean and modern. The food in the hotel restaurant and various bars was really good. The attention to detail in the conference center could not have been better. The pool was pretty though small. The hotel proximity to the beach compensates for the small pool. My only complaint was that I am an active person and enjoy using a gym in the morning time. The hotel gym had a # of equipment pieces that were broken. I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation. The Windsor Barra made our stay in Rio exceptional.

We had a great stay here. The room was clean and comfortable and with a reasonably priced minibar. The breakfast was extensive with something for everyone available. We were allowed to leave luggage prior to check-in and after check-out. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great as it was a 5-minute walk to Copacabana Beach. Very good and would recommend.

Breakfast was better than I expected. You have a variety of selections (we stayed for one week and it was hard not to get bored) which were really good, the personell was very kind and helpful, they seamed pleased to do whatever they could to make you feel at home. We have a 10 months child and even he was very happy to interact with them, they kept him very entertained smiling and playing with him when passing to do their work, and thus making a lot more peaceful breakfast for us. :) Not to mention the higiene measures you see them taking, they made us very relaxed seeing them like that regarding the food our baby ate. Honestly, I've stayed in a more fancier hotel on Copacabana and the breakfast wasn't that good. The only bad thing is that you don't have natural light.

This is a 1950s style property 1/2 block from Icarai Beach, which offers stunning views of Rio, Pao de Azucar and El Cristo across the bay. Any place in Niteroi on or near Icarai is worth the stay, regardless of the amenities.

The staff is excellent, specially the manager. She went beyond and above her duties to fulfill a request we had. The breakfast is outstanding, a perfect meal - a supero meal for your day and the attention of the waiters is excellent.

As instalações do hotel são muito boas! O quarto é grande e confortável. Tinha uma varanda que deixou melhor ainda. Estava bem limpo. O colchão da cama é um pouco duro, mas como ficamos uma noite só, não foi um problema. É bem pertinho da orla de Icaraí. Todos os funcionários são muito educados. Um elogio especial ao senhor Denis da cozinha, super simpático e alto astral, você já vai tomar café com um ambiente de alegria ao redor. Minha esposa e eu ficamos muito satisfeitos! Também conseguimos fazer check in antecipado, pagamos uma taxa de meia diária, o que nos ajudou bastante. Com certeza nos hospedaremos novamente em uma nova visita a Niterói.

A localização é excelente e o quarto tbm. Os atendentes no espaço do café são super simpáticos e mto educados. E a recepção melhorou demais, pois ano passado nos hospedamos nesse hotel e o atendimento da recepção havia sido péssimo! Agora ao retornarmos, fomos surpreendidas de forma extremamente positiva, pois a atendente, sra Mariana é mto educada e prática. Excellent hotel. No curfew. Good location for those comfortable with central Rio. Some nice restaurants around. Daily room service, breakfast and free wifi. Nice sized room with plenty of closet space. Was able to pay extra and check out in the evening. Don't be put off by the old adult hotel name it's just a nice hotel with mirrored ceilings.

Way I was blown away by how much nicer the room actually was compared to the pictures. It is a three-star Brazilian hotel. It is similar to your Days and comfort inn in America. It had a updated modern bathroom. The room itself was slightly dated but it had very nice amenities in the room including air conditioning. And the breakfast was genuinely good.

Well run budget hotel. Good size room with air conditioning. The staff are very good and helpful and speak some english.

Simply amazing! I had a very great time there. Friendly and lovely staff, very nice breakfast and suite. The patio and pool outside were really relaxing, also because the house is in a secluded safe area. Would recommend 100% when you stay in Rio (even if only for 1 night like me) - very relaxing experience. They were even so kind and let me stay a couple of hours longer because I can to get a new sim card.

The breakfast was excellent, the whirpool was awesome! Nice and quiet location

Everything about this Boutique Hotel was fabulous, the hosts Renata and Chris, the room, location, pool and breakfast certainly exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it.

Went for Carnaval and the location was way better than I expected. There are homeless people on the street but it was still calm and we had no issues even going back at night. The room is clean and looks like the pictures and the bathroom too. The breakfast is brought to your room and it was very good, simple but complete.

For this price you can't expect a lot. The location is good. Like any big city downtown it doesn't look safe, but I didn't have any trouble walking around.

- First row of high rises on the Copacabana beach front, just cross Avenida Atlantica and you are on the beach - 24 hour access with guard at the entrance - Very helpful hosts that allow to deposit luggage early, leave it after checkout and use the shower before departing - Rich breakfast served from 7:30 am - You can keep foodstuff in the refrigerator - Excellent wifi - Small but efficiently furnished room - Large and comfy sitting room - 5 minutes walk from Siqueira Campos metro station - 3 minutes walk from bus stop with buses 108 and 163 directly going to Gentileza bus station with airport express bus connection (the latter is highly recommended as super fast on exclusive bus lane beating all traffic jams)

The hosts were exceptional very comfortable and situated on the beach, very pleased with my visit.

Very warm, family-like atmosphere. The room was tiny but we were allowed to use shared living, dining room and kitchen. The hosts were wonderful. An interesting entrance to the appartment :).

Location is the best in Rio! Our hosts Bianca and Felipe were incredible and really made us feel at home. We will be back!!

Just stayed for one night .. staff are helpful. Nice view . Good location for this area ... But if you're wanting a hotel in Rio for a holiday for 1/2 weeks its not ideal because its very much on the outskirts/suburbs ... and would take a while to get in Rio if you want to do those tourist things like view Copacabana/ christ the redeemer or sugarloaf.

The location was beside the beach. Amazing. Though it's at the corner of the island.

Fairly basic hotel, but clean friendly and close to the airport. Didn't really get a chance to explore the area as i was only there for a night between flights.

Nice spot right on the beach. Friendly staff , AC worked great. Good value.
