Had a great stay here, I really enjoyed the hottub.

Pros: Easy check in Allocated parking space Clean room Clean private outdoor spa pool Spacious bathroom Very comfortable bed Walking distance to eateries & supermarket. Close walk/drive to the city centre Cons: Shower is quite small but the shower water pressure is good Overall, had a very comfortable stay. Reception staff were great. The spa pool was fantastic — the perfect way to unwind and relax at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend this place & would happily stay here again.

Older style motel, apparently in the process of being gradually refurbished. My room had not yet been renovated but it was absolutely immaculately clean and well presented. Very large room, huge bathroom and courtyard with spa. Convenient parking in front of room. Central location. Excellent value for money. Friendly and helpful staff, went out of their way to find an extension cord when I asked for my hairdryer. I would definitely stay here again.

The motel was easily located due to good signage. The staff member at Reception was very efficient and helpful, he even insisted in taking all our baggage up the 2 flights of stairs to our room on the second floor. The room was large and very clean. The double bed, queen size, was very comfortable. The cooking facilities consisted of a microwave as well as 2 hot plates. There were 2 television sets, one in the lounge area, the second in the bedroom..Being located on the second floor, we had a spa bath with an overhead shower. The spa was very pleasant to use. The only negative aspect here was when using either the spa or the shower, the plastic base of the spa became rather slippery. Fortunately there was a large handle available to hold on to if required. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, and would happily return.

Originally, we planned to stay at the motel for only one night, however, due to some unexpected circumstances, we needed to prolong our visit for a couple of additional days. We cannot express our gratitude to the manager who went above and beyond to make our stay at the motel as comfortable as possible and to help us in these circumstances. So just once again, a huge thank you for everything! In terms of the room itself, it was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Fully equipped mini kitchen with microwave, kettle, and all needed utensils. Clean bathroom with toiletries. A nice little private backyard with a hot tub and table with chairs to chill. TV with Netflix available. The motel is located within walking distance of the city centre and some shops. Would definitely recommend staying there.

I didn't book my room on-line, but just showed up and asked if anything was available. The desk clerk, who had been watering the flowers and shrubs out front, was very nice and asked me if I minded if the spa wasn't working. I told here I didn't care, and she offered me a great price on the room with the broken jacuzzi tub (she assured me the shower was in good working order, which it was.) I asked to see the room first, which she was glad to do, and I booked it immediately. If this hadn't worked out I probably would have gone to the Holiday Inn a block south for over twice the price. As it was, I had a comfortable place to stay, close to the redwood forest tree walk (among other local attractions). What I really liked were all of the coffee and tea options provided in the room. And not just instant coffee - they provided a little french press and coffee grounds. Plus some cookies, several types of tea, and hot chocolate. There was a hot water pot, of course, along with a microwave, refrigerator, and toaster. It made my morning quite nice.

Quick to fill and powerful pump for bubbles High pressure super hot water. (Excellent shower pressure) Generous liquid soap and shower gel dispensers (that actually works!!) Simple clear instruction signs for wifi/ spa bath operation. Practical robust furnishings - not flashy but user-friendly The fridge is set to the perfect temperature Generous amount of tea/coffee/hot chocolate sachets Quality kettle and toaster Good quality net curtain and blackout drape that actually covered the full door/windows for privacy. Parking in front of unit. Clean and well arranged. AND BEST Of ALL - VALUE FOR MONEY

Great experience staying there with kids… the spa pool in the back was amazing and my kids jumped right in as soon as we got there. The staff was very friendly, polite and well spoken. The girl and at the reception was very sweet and welcoming especially with the kids. It is the perfect environment to bring the kids too. Would definitely come back and recommend. Even though the hotel is a little run down, it was very tidy and clean. We were able to get linen as required without any trouble.

We booked this motel a while ago, and recently they’d had some critical reviews, so we feared the worst. But we arrived and were promptly checked into our room. Ok it was a bit tired, but it was spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfy. We had a spa bath, but only used the shower so not sure if that worked or not. Lovely powerful shower with Lots of hot water. We stayed 3 nights and weren’t disturbed at all, it was so quiet. The man on reception was so kind, printing us directions to different places and generally helping us any way he could. We would def stay again

Very cosy room had an upstairs room. Parking was confusing but we got there in the end. Wifi excellent and very good amenities for the room. Bed very comfortable and clean room. Service very basic could've been more welcoming (sign here, here's your key and room is around the corner upstairs) otherwise a good stay for a couple nights. First impressions count I guess and it starts with the service.

We stayed here two nights and were welcomed by Manager Ryan. He was very helpful and super friendly. Showed us activities, followed up a booking we had to make sure we would get picked up, explained everything. Made us very welcome and offered to be of any assistance. I had a couple of issues to begin with: - recycled toiletries in bathroom (had been previously used) - housekeeping didn't service our room but marked it as being done. - rooms are a little crowded with dark furniture making it squishy - lots of wear and tear on fixtures - limited lighting quite dark - hot room - shower curtain - water everywhere after a shower. Anyhow .... We found a fan in cupboard next morning and based on feedback management has since made a note on checking in pamphlet that fans are in cupboard. Made a huge difference. Manager brought new towels in and apologised profusely for housekeeping not bothering to attend to room and replace towels etc. The hotel is undergoing renovations. It's clear Ryan and his wife genuinely care about the hotel and their guests. The bathrooms and hot pools are being fixed up and were very clean. Bed linen and bed very comfortable. The private hot pools are so relaxing in the evening and were the highlight. Across the road from shopping centre and a 10-15 minute walk to the lake and some awesome eateries. A great spot. This property is located so close to everything, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Very close to Polynesian Spa. Pretty quiet and relaxing place. We have private hot water spa in our room. Amazing! I wish the shower is a bit bigger, but everything else is great!

We stayed 5 nights in 2 bedroom apartment with balcony. Street is very quiet at night time. Apartment was very clean, tidy, serviced daily, very kind and helpful staff! Great location! Very close to heart of city! Shops that are just across the road. We will definitely recommend it to our friends!

You don't necessarily expect a person experience at a motor lodge, but that's what you get here from the moment you enter. Kasia instantly makes guests feel at home, providing milk for their tea/coffee and showing them how to operate the outdoor tub. The tub is fun as you step out of the bathroom window after filling it with warm water from the town's hot springs (or on a hot day, some cool water). The motel is a 10-15 minute walk from the I-site, spas, and lake, so you are away from the main hustle and bustle (especially at night). There was no air conditioning, but the room had windows and doors in three directions so it was easy to have a nice cross-breeze. Kasia and Shane have also set up a couple of places outside with shade and comfy chairs -- you want to be outside here and certainly don't feel closed in by your room. Would stay here again.

Great stay at the Victoria Lodge! The owner was so helpful and even sorted out our washing when we were a bit clueless! She was always available and did everything she could to make our stay better! Cheeky little hot tub in the back! Rooms.were great size and the bed was very comfortable! Very powerful shower too!

Motel was absolutely stunning! We checked in and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was perfect and it was clean. Cooking facilities were adequate and the utensils were clean. Every day after we left the room was cleaned - bed made, dishes cleaned and towels replaced. The overall experience was amazing and can not fault it. Definitely returning and referring family and friends there also.

We stayed in the room with the spa. It was cozy. Beds were very comfortable. Fresh towels each morning. The staff members were lovely and polite. Motel is only walking distance to the central mall and food stores which is convenient. Enjoyed our stay

From the moment we arrived we were in heaven. The in room hot tub was fabulous and extra hot. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. Our host could not do enough for us. Nothing at all was too much trouble - from making dinner reservations, to booking cabs, umbrellas at the ready as it rained, everything was perfect. The location is also great as it is about 10 min's walk to the city itself. There is a supermarket across that road for all your needs to fill the kitchen. There is a restaurant about 2 min's walk towards the city and a fab takeaway 3 min's walk the other way. Every room has it's own thermal pool and there is a laundry on site. We will be back most certainly...

We needed extra things like an early check-in and ironing board and the staff/owner was very friendly and helpful. Even offered an extra extra early check-in. The bed was clean and it was in a quiet location, the walls were thick and we did not hear other travelers.

Great value for money! Due to our budget, we were limited with our choices in places to stay but we are so glad we chose Kuirau Park. Upon check-in we were greeted by friendly staff who physically took us to our rooms to ensure they were good enough. To our surprise the rooms were very spacious and perfect for what we needed. A place to shower and sleep as we were only there for the weekend for a netball tournament. Absolutely fantastic and would happily stay again. Thank you!

My partner and I enjoyed our stay, we booked for 4 nights. We chose this room because of the private spa and how cheap it was. Eventhough there were a lot of bad reviews we settled for the spa and hoped for the best. The staff was very helpful, gave us a tour of the room first, explained everything and what Rotorua had to offer (activities) and made sure we felt comfortable. The spa was nice you fill it up like a bath tub and can adjust the temperature and if you want bubbles or not. The master bedroom is actually in the sitting room and the TV was closer to the back door, so not in reach for the wifi which sucked because we weren't able to use our chromecast. Plus the TV was on a really low table, higher table would have been nice to lie down to. Curtains were really dusty and dirty also shower had a little bit of mound on edges. Really tiny fridge so had to buy food daily and backyard could've been more better maintained with all the grass growing in different cracks of the concrete. All beds had electric blankets so that was a nice touch after being in the spa. 2min drive from everything, it was litterly in the middle of everything. You get your own private parking infront of the room and the area is very quiet. Out of 10 I'd give it an 8.5 we did very much enjoy our stay overall.

This was my third stay here. They have updated the furniture and bathroom since the last visit 2 years ago. It was clean and comfortable. There is a small patio out the back. The shower has a regular shower head and a rain shower head. I like that it is away from the main sulphur smelling area in Rotorua.

Let us check in early without us calling ahead and greeted by the lovely lady who owned the motel. Room was a decent size with attached bathroom, only let down was it had a fridge and kettle but no other kitchen implements (cutlery/cooker/glasses) except mugs. Shower was amazing (brand new complete bathroom) with included toiletries. Also very helpful with options of things to do & quick to offer discount codes if they were available (at least twice to us). Didn't see where the pool was but not why we booked there anyway so no loss to us (it was mid-winter after all).

We had originally booked online and when arriving at the venue, saw on the billboard you can have a private spa so we upgraded as we had planned on going to the polynesian pools, but the thought of the additional cost, closing time and not being able to have a wine in the spa detered us. We were pleasantly surprised with the privacy of the spa area. We uploaded our stay on snap chat and lots of firends ask where we were. One of our friends have booked for a romantic, private stay here. Staff was very friendly also.

Very comfortable, well-designed, modern cottages. The lovely host lives on site and went above and beyond when we had special requests. Enjoyed the view of Lake Rotorua in the distance and the hottub. The road to town passes by the cottage which makes it convenient and it is quiet at night when almost no one drives by and the golfers have gone off the course which abuts the property. Convenient, about 10 minutes to the Zorbing and other adrenaline activities. Great set up for small families or friends with the bedrooms on either end of the cottage with the common spaces in the middle.

Excellent host who goes out of the way to make you feel comfortable and very quick responses to any queries. The cottage itself is very comfortable, clean and met our expectations. You do need a car since the place is approx. 15 min outside Rotorua on a state highway. They also have a Jacuzzi/hot tub on the premises for guests. Location is very scenic and green all around. Wifi is strong. Kitchen is well stocked (with even milk). I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Rotorua.

We stayed for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. The kitchen is not only fully equipped but also sparkling clean – you’ll find everything you could possibly need, including coffee, cocoa, dish soap, salt, pepper, and more. As a special touch, we were welcomed with two glasses of delicious fresh milk waiting for us in the fridge. The whole accommodation is spotless and very comfortable, with plenty of towels and thoughtful details everywhere. It was pleasantly warm throughout our stay. The bathroom is a good size and not too small, and the whirlpool was a real highlight. The property also offers plenty of privacy and convenient parking. We truly felt that everything had been thought of to make our stay enjoyable. 🌟

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Kings on Peace! The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable, ensuring everything was spotless — even the jacuzzi was thoroughly cleaned, which meant a lot as my daughter has severe allergies. The overall vibe was just perfect; it truly felt like a peaceful escape. This is without a doubt one of the best accommodation experiences I’ve had in Rotorua so far. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and ideal for both families and solo travelers looking to unwind and recharge away from the stress of work and daily life. Highly recommended — we will definitely be back!

The kids absolutely loved the hot pool and trampoline, and we (the adults) really enjoyed relaxing in the hot bath. The room was clean and spacious, and we really appreciated your commitment to being environmentally friendly! We also loved the fair trade coffee and tea, as well as the fresh local milk for our drinks—it was a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. If/when we come back to Rotorua, we would definitely stay here again!

Fabulously run. Every interaction with staff is a pleasure. Five star hotels should take note of how well this place is run and take note. They provided helpful suggestions on what to see that my research hadn’t spotted. The redwood forest walk with night lights ended up being my favorite activity. Chloe called my international number when I didn’t respond to an email asking at about what time I was arriving due to poor WIFI to make sure my room would be ready upon arrival. Laundry facilities on site—NZ$8 for wash and dry with NZ$2 coins available at reception. Strong WIFI Simple but comfortable rooms. Very clean. Very central—five minutes walk to Tourist Office/Central Bus Station. Close to cafes; spas; restaurants. Practice environmental sustainability.

Aura provided perfect accommodation for our family group stay in Rotorua. The three units we occupied were simple but very comfortable and well-equipped, and the on-site facilities, especially the heated pool and the barbecue were a big plus. Aura is in a great location, in a quiet street close to restaurants, the lake, a big park and a playground. We also appreciated the commitment to environmentally friendly practices. The best thing about Aura, though, is the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who made us feel really welcome and looked after. We would love to stay there again if we have the opportunity.

Very friendly and very comfortable motel in Rotorua. Ideally situated for the lake, restaurants in Eat Street and the city centre. Our rooms were very comfortable and spacious with everything we needed. We were told to just ask if we needed more of anything. We took advantage of the laundry facilities which was a great help on our road trip. The best facility for us was the private indoor geothermal pool which was right next to our room. We spent a very relaxing hour in there and my backache was gone! The staff were so friendly and we felt very welcome. i would recommend Aura Accommodation to anyone staying in Rotorua.

Excellent room, very spacious, clean, with dedicated car parking right outside the room. Staff was friendly, with check-in and check-out being hassle free. Quiet neighborhood, 5 minute drive from the action. Jacuzzi was a nice bonus as well.

Check in was simple, rooms spacious and clean, jacuzzi baths are a great bonus! Morgen on reception was very kind "host" and offered us some assistance when using the hotels laundry facilities which was much appreciated. Great value when exploring Rotura and surrounding area. Would recommend.

Regal Palms isn’t a “resort” but IS a very clean & comfortable motel. My room even had a jacuzzi tub IN THE BEDROOM!!! They also had mini-golf, a nice pool, and fast WiFi. But the room’s courtyard resembled a tiny penitentiary exercise yard—10-foot tall walls and a single lonely shrub!

Spacious, clean room with a giant jacuzzi tub. Loved that we could open up the large window in the bathroom to the private patio space. We enjoyed the pool and mini-golf amenities. Very family friendly. Location was great, short drive to everything we wanted to see.

Rooms were excellent and comfy Close to restaurants and visiting places Relaxing in the Jacuzzi was the icing on the cake.

We had a great time in this place. We got a new room with kitchenette. The jacuzzi is big and new as well. There are lots of fun activities to do in this place.We played mini golf,tennis, pingpong and my niece enjoyed the heated swimming pool. It's worth the money.

This was our second motor inn in a row and this one felt like an upgrade in every aspect a room can offer. Better bed, isolation (it was warmer), better shower, cleaner... We loved having a jacuzzi, it was a first for us and a lot of fun.

We returned to this motel after five years for our second stay, driven by my child's fond memories of the jacuzzi. The overall facilities are well-maintained, and we were relieved to find that the sofa bed was quite comfortable, despite our initial concerns.

Staff very helpful, good location for visiting Rotorua and its attractions. Good size room with private jacuzzi !

Loved parking the spaces, playground and outdoor patio especially waking up to the farm across our unit. It was a lovely peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Beds were amazing. Executive suite was a perfect size for my little family and I. Faith the housekeeping lady was so lovely, she had did her job throughly we had clean sheets, fresh towels made our beds and vacuumed our whole unit and that was surprisingly on our 4th day there of our 5 night stay. The others did basic cleaning but faith went over and beyond. Really Appreciate coming back to a spotless room fresh clean and tidy after a long day out & about. Thank you Faith :) (Room 11)

Our family of five had an amazing night here with the playground and animals keeping our two kids entertained and filled with joy. The rooms were both beautiful and spotless — truly perfect for our stay. We loved the view of the animals and playground, allowing us to easily keep an eye on our little ones while they played. The location was perfect, just a short distance from Skyride we wanted to visit. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, the staff were friendly and made our trip so enjoyable after a day full of adventures. Shout out to the owner and team for maintaining such a fantastic facility :)

A recently renovated, well maintained motel with clean and spacious rooms as well as very friendly staffs. It has a playground for kids and also a few alpacas, chickens and rabbits which provided a lot of fun to our stay. The location is great too, close to all the places that tourists would like to visit like Skyline, Mitai Maori Village and Heritage Farm etc.

2x Deluxe King Rooms were amazing, Modern spacious, Had everything you needed, warm and comfortable. 2x Standard Family Rooms were not as modern but has everything you need for a family clean and comfortable, Double glazed windows so you can’t hear the traffic at all.

It is a great place for an overnight stay. it’s new, clean, spacious with very comfortable bed. The kitchenette is brand new with all that you need to make a cup of coffee and a quick breakfast. Place has no view but makes it up with what they offer in the room.

The check-in gentleman at the front desk was very helpful with restaurant and recommendations. Centrally located to access all of the shops and restaurants. The jacuzzi was great, too!

Absolutely central location in the downtown centre. Parking situation was better then we expected. The street in front of the hotel had 60 min limit on weekdays (Mon-Fri) from 9 to 17. So it was possible to keep the car until 10 and from 16 next to the hotel. We had a room with a jacuzzi in the balcony - that was superb, Direction of the balcony was towards evening sun.

Quest apartments provides exceptional value. The staff provided exceptional customer service and could not help us enough. The moment I walked into the room I was taken back by the quality modern layout of the amenities from the full size kitchen accommodating a laundrette, spacious bathroom, to the expansive living area with numerous luxury appointments. We could not have asked for any better and provided exceptional value for money. The location was ideal walking distance to the locals shops and restaurants. Quest apartments are now ranked high on our preferred list for accommodation.

We enjoyed our stay very much. A 5 minute drive into the town centre for dinner. We had a lovely jacuzzi bath which we made the most of. The reception team couldn’t have been more helpful.

Lovely welcome at this super motel which is easily accessible for the town. Wonderfully equipped studio with a fabulous private jacuzzi which was very welcome at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. The room was well furnished with an extremely comfortable bed too.

My partner and I enjoyed how spacious the room was. We very much enjoyed the flow of the room and the close access from the bathroom to the hottub area🔥 The carpark access to the backdoor of the room also another highlight.

I was in one of the rooms upstairs and it was definitely more spacious than I was expecting. Very comfortable. Ample space to store things in the room and the kitchen was tidy and had a pot and pan and utensils to do some light cooking. The bathroom had an amazing amount of space and was super comfortable. AC and wifi were amazing and plenty of power outlets everywhere. Also the owner was great and very friendly upon arrival and check in. There was a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer for $4 use. I didn't use the dryer as the room had a little closet nook that was great for hanging the clothes to dry. There were some wooden hangers provided in the room which came in handy for that as I didn't bring enough myself. Nice big and comfy double bed. As with other accomodation along Fenton Street, great location that is close to everything and also ample parking.

It was a newly renovated room, modern design, extremely comfortable firm bed, huge space, perfect for a multi-day stay. Do not let the sometimes present smell of sulfur stop you from renting there, it is much better than most run down other places. The staff was so, so helpful when it was needed, the kitchen had all the basics for home cooking, it was an easy 20min walk from grocery and restaurants, and so, so convenient for all the fun the Redwoods offer.

Quiet, convenient location. Perfect to explore Rotorua and surroundings. The room has recently been renovated - clean, roomy, well-presented, well equipped kitchenette, smart TV and good wifi. Staff were pleasant, efficient and helpful.

Our unit was exceptionally clean, very comfortable and everything we needed was there. Very comfortable bed, with lovely linen and fluffy towels. Excellent shower with toiletries. Well equipped kitchen, with stovetop and microwave. Comfy chairs and good blackout curtains. Excellent wifi connection too. Friendly lady on reception at arrival and departure. Thank you.

The place was clean, spacious and comfortable. It had quite a few useful items included - a hairdryer, shampoo and conditioner, body wash, coffee, tea and milk. It was also nice and quiet so it was possible to wind down after a busy day of exploring Rotorua. The staff were friendly too.

The room was exactly the same as in the online booking photo, loved the spacious and luxurious bathroom, everything in the room, kitchen areas were nice and clean, much better than I expected, plates and cutlery, microwave and water kettle looks very new and safe to use, comedy shows (only one channel) available on TV to get some sound on and lightings working well and bright, extremely comfy bed, enjoyable stay for sure!

Staff were amazing. Couldn’t be more helpful. Provided lots of information in messages before arriving. Restaurants, things to do etc. Very helpful when we got there. Provided information and discount vouchers to activities. Rooms were also great. Simple, clean, comfortable, good location, affordable.

The unit we occupied was appropriately priced, clean, warm, and comfortable, with convenient parking in front. It was well-equipped with a microwave, coffee, tea, an electric kettle, and an electric stove, making our winter visit pleasant and cozy.

Awesome quiet spot on the lake, perfect if you have a car to get you around to the local spots. Airport 5 mins away, lovely staff that had all the intel on the what-to-dos. Jacuzzi and massages were a bonus

I stayed for one night while in the area for work. Room was great and suitable for my needs. Some maintenance required but only minor. Had extra low rate due to low season and weekday. Comfortable bed, blackout blinds and good location backing onto lake. Only downside was that breakfast wasn’t available before 8 and I had to leave by 8.15 so had to get breakfast elsewhere. I managed to have a quick soak in the jacuzzi the evening I arrived and it was lovely. I would happily stay here again.

It was absolutely splendid and located in such a wonderful spot of Rotorua. My hubby and I spent our honeymoon here in the superior suite which was spacious, clean and cosy with a comfortable king bed and wonderful spa bath. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere there was warm and welcoming. I am a lover of sunsets and didn't know until we arrived, of the spectacular clear and perfect view you get to see of the sunset from the facility. We didn't get a chance with the sauna, jacuzzi, dining or massage treatment that they offer due to our own arrangements but we look forward to doing so in a warmer season. I highly recommend this place to relax and unwind. We will certainly stay here over and over again. Thank you Wai Ora. 10/10 🫶

I must admit , saw some less than positive reviews recently for this place, but was pleasantly surprised. On arrival check in was quick and efficient, receptionist was friendly and helpful, we were shown to our room and told about the trout flies. Hotel was clean and looked smart, pool area was well kept. Lovely location on the lake but a drive into town (which I knew when booking) Rooms a short walk from the Car Park. Room was lovely, pretty large, very clean and decorated smartly, smelt fresh. Bed was comfy , large tv, fridge and a clean bathroom with a good powerful, hot shower. We ate in the restaurant, had the chicken, food was delicious and large portions. Slight mix up over the wine, which was a bit slow coming(didn’t have our first choice) Wasn’t bothered by and didn’t really notice the trout flies. All in all great stay.

This was my third stay at Millennium Rotorua in the past 12 months – usually for business – but this time, I brought the family along to enjoy the experience, and it didn’t disappoint! From the moment we arrived, the front desk team once again delivered warm and friendly service at check-in and check-out – a consistent highlight every time I visit. We decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant during this stay, and the service was absolutely superb. The team was attentive, professional, and welcoming, and the food was just as good as I’ve come to expect. Breakfast the next morning was another great experience – we were greeted by a friendly host and enjoyed a solid selection of quality food to start the day right. This time, we stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms – and it was awesome! The design is sleek and modern, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – perfect for a restful night’s sleep. Overall, another amazing stay at Millennium Rotorua. The consistent service, great food, and beautiful new rooms make it an easy choice. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Rotorua!

Easy parking in hotel carpark out front and side. Very friendly staff. Nice body temperature covered pool. Two big spa pools in quiet spacious space to relax with convenient change rooms, showers etc. Relaxing bar. Good breakfast with healthy choices. Reasonably priced at $20 continental and $30 cooked. Room quite spacious. All recently renovated. Very well soundproofed. Nice bathroom amenities though no moisturizers. Our room was on the second floor and classed as Lake View but really couldn't see the lake. Would suggest if you really want a lake view perhaps request a room on the higher floors.

Good central location and good parking. Excellent welcome with bags taken to our room and helpful check in. The room seemed to have been refurbished very recently - it was spotless with quality fixtures and fittings and a lovely deep carpet. The shower was excellent! One criticism was the air conditioner which despite making the necessary noises did nothing - luckily the full length window to balcony helped cool the very warm room. The pool and spa are also good. Breakfast was up to scratch and our dinner in the restaurant well above average for a hotel. All in all a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

The view over the lake was lovely and the balcony was very nice. The location is very central to all the attractions that Rotarua has to offer. The hotel is currently going through a needed refurbishment programme. Very nice relaxing restaurant, bar areas and a nice pool. A good menu in the restaurant and the food was exceptional. Good selection for breakfast. Nice friendly staff.

Decent sized room with a comfortable king size bed, one easy chair, one office type swivel chair and a couple of dining chairs and a small table. Our second floor room looked out onto Lake Rotoiti - very nice view (Lake Rotorua is in the opposite direction and can't be seen from the hotel). Strange folding wooden shutters between the room and en suite bathroom (with separate shower cubicle) - would let in natural light I suppose? Fridge, desk, small wardrobe containing iron and board. Some of the fittings are a bit worn and tarnished, giving the room a well used feel - but it was clean and everything worked. Friendly staff. Parking on site. No lift - but the receptionist offered to help carry luggage. Good breakfast available: fruit, cereal, yoghurt cheese, cold meats, croissants juice, plus scrambled eggs, baked beans, mushrooms, hash browns and bacon (potato wedges one morning). Toast, butter and spreads. Only disappointment was the water in the flask for tea wasn't hot - we had tea in our room. At times the breakfast area had food dropped by guests on the chairs and carpet. We dined in the restaurant one evening - nice meal. The hotel is an easy 20-30 minute drive to the centre of Rotorua (you definitely need your own transport) but only 5 minutes from Okere and Tutela falls. We had a comfortable stay and the buffet breakfast was a treat.

This property was very clean and had a quiet, family feel. Staff greeted us warmly and assisted with a late dinner, then offered a delicious buffet breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the views were beautiful.

Out of the hustle of town. Rooms are clean, spacious & warm! Underfloor heating in bathroom! YES! Our room opened up to let fresh air in. Beds comfortable, linen nice, pillows good. Plenty of teas, coffee etc in room. Staff are friendly & helpful. Gorgeous lake front, plenty of parking. Breakfast was good. Basic selection of hot & cold options. Something to suit everyone.

One of the best located resorts i have stayed till date. The sights were mesmerizing as we were just on a beautiful and very quiet lake. The rooms were big and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helped with quick check in. If I have a chance, will definitely return and stay here for much more than 2 days. Breakfast was a small but tasty spread. Being on the lake, enjoyed the sunsets and the serene atmosphere which comes with it. The resort is away from the city center so it takes approx NZD 50 one way.. There's a small takeaway shop just outside but it's convenient for snacks, drinks, etc. The resort serves dinner too. No lunch though. Overall enjoyed my stay.

We had a 2 Day Family trip to Rotorua in the school Holidays and stayed at VR Rotorua Lake resort. It was one of the best experiences we have had in a long time. From the time of arrival to the departure, everything was perfect. Staff amazing and very helpful. Going out of their way to make our stay memorable. The rooms were very comfy, The grounds and lake make the place so relaxed for the kids. Food and service was exceptional. Reception staff was very helpful in advising us on the activities and also arranging these for us. We will surely be back.

We sadly spent only one night here when visiting the thermal areas of Rotorua. Wish we could have been here a week. This place exceeded our expectations. The room we had as part of the main house was like a big apartment! Huge bathroom and living room. And a view across 2 sliding glass doors to a balcony looking out at the gorgeous lake. We definitely missed out by not staying here longer. The absolutely best aspect of the hotel was the restaurant. It was quiet that rainy night - only 4 tables of guests, but we were treated like kings. The service, lead by Adriana Martinez, was excellent and the food was astonishing! We were in New Zealand and Australia for nearly a month and in retrospect, it was probably the best dinner we had the entire trip. A 4 course prix fixe menu prepared by ONE CHEF (William Foote) in the kitchen! Came with 2 cocktails included. I don't know how he did it. My favorite item was the deconstructed Beef Wellington - a very delicious, inventive take on the classic. My husband's favorite was the Ora King Salmon with crayfish and creamy leeks. We had breakfast included with the room and this was another amazing array of foods, plus menu items. This should be a destination resort for anyone remotely nearby.

Treat yourself to an experience of luxury. Every aspect of our stay was taken care of. The visual appeal of the rooms, the house, and the views were incomparable, and the food was delicious. A romantic space completely away from the stresses of life with amazing location, perfect comfort, thoughtful, helpful yet unobtrusive staff. Do use the meals available, they are similarly extra-ordinary! Shower and spa bath were amazing.

We stayed at On the Point for our honeymoon and could not have chosen a more perfect retreat. The property is a former private estate with stunning lake views, elegant suites, and little touches of heritage charm. Staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful, making us feel both cared for and given complete privacy. We also received gracious and considered recommendations on things to do from the very kind Czech woman who also did breakfast. Having dinner served in our suite overlooking Lake Rotorua was a highlight, as was waking up each morning to generous breakfasts and serene surroundings. The décor is more classic and traditional than modern, which added to the charm for us, but guests expecting sleek, contemporary design should know this is a heritage-style lodge. Overall, On the Point is romantic, intimate, and timeless — a wonderful choice for a special occasion in Rotorua.

We stayed here for 3 nights and we wish it was for longer. Our room (#4) had breathtaking lake views from both our sitting room and the bedroom. The staff could not have done anymore for us from recommending things to do, to Mel finding us a DVD to watch the first Lord Of The Rings as we were off to the Hobbiton tour, well worth doing, to Nicky giving us food to go feed the donkeys and sheep they have onsite. (Kids would love this, we did as adults). We had dinner at the restaurant and the lamb was slightly chewy, but the seared tuna was amazing and the breakfasts were the best. We gave the gold star to the chef for our poached eggs, as they were the best we had on our NZ holiday. I had to unexpectedly print a document off and scan it and the girls in the office couldn’t have been more helpful, thank you Sam and cheers to Helen who does a wonderful job in the garden, the grounds are beautiful. The entire place has a wonderful vibe and we enjoyed sitting by the fire enjoying our time here. The staff are like a little family with Nicky bringing her own coffee machine from home to cover their one being serviced. This speaks volumes of the culture and spills over into the service we received. I also mentioned the bed pillows were a bit soft, and housekeeping left firmer ones after cleaning our room, just lovely and we loved our stay - thank you.

Outstanding Service & Great Value in Rotorua! We arrived in Rotorua late (around 8 PM) without a booking, and the online process was seamless and fast. We received prompt instructions on how to access our room, which was a huge relief after a long day of travel. We stayed in a spacious two-bedroom unit that offered everything we needed. The beds were comfy, and the unit was remarkably quiet despite the central location. Having a fully equipped kitchen was incredibly convenient, and the spa bath in the bathroom was a fantastic bonus. We also loved having three balconies to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. What truly elevated our stay was the exceptional staff service. Upon entering, we found that the windows had been left open, and there were quite a few mosquitos inside—a minor issue, but a concern as my youngest has an allergy. The staff member was amazing, immediately bringing us fly spray and showing genuine care. Furthermore, he went above and beyond when I struggled with the tight car park, offering to move my vehicle to a much more accessible area. This level of helpfulness and care was truly lovely. The motel is well located and offers excellent value for money. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Rotorua!

she was amazing, attentive and accommodating. The room is ample, has plenty of out door spaces within the room. Ours had two large balconies and one terrace. There were fans, nice kitchen, parking and a 3 minute drive from restaurants, government gardens and the Maori town "waka" (can't remember the full name) all great places to see and visit. The room is no frills so no pool, or facilities. But that's not important. In reality waking up and having breakfast outside listening to the birds. And the peace and quiet overnight was well worth it. If you are desperate for some entertainment, there is a large screen with netflix, local TV , YouTube. Well worth it. Recommended.

The 4 apartments that we booked at Brylin Motel during winter school holiday are exceptional. I have not seen a very clean and home-like accommodation in Rotorua, none like Brylin Motel. The rooms and toilets are very spacious too. Amber is friendly and amazing. She has been very helpful and accommodating to my groups' needs. She has been very kind and understanding with the hectic activities and noises of having a big group like us. Thank you Brylin Motel!!! 100% highly recommended.

Things people may see as an inconveniece. Street outside - Hardly heard any noise, never woke me up once and i'm a very light sleeper Shower over hot tub TV - some channels were fuzzy, didn't bother us though. Even though it was for one night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely book here again 😀

This motel is convenient to everything that Rotorua has to offfer. The staff were helpful and friendly. The living area of the room was very comfortable and well presented. The bathroom and shower is a little dated but functional. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay here. The welcome was very friendly. The rooms were spotlessly clean. There was a self fill spa pool off the master bedroom in a completely private court yard, with a television both in the lounge and in the bedroom. The louge area had two single beds, a sofa, and a four place table, which did take up a bit of room. You had a wall mounted heater but no heat pump. There was a kitchenette with the usual tea, coffee, hot choclate, biscuits, microwave, hot plates, and fridge, which is fine for simple food preperation. The decor is older but again clean. Being just off the main road, meant no road noise to speak of, and parking was right outside your door. A very pleasant place to stay.

We were in Rotorua to meet friends/colleagues and undertake research on restoration of Maori structures, and the Rose Court was ideally situated for easy access to Te Puia and Whakarewarewa as well as a convenient place to meet our contact. The motel is very easy to find, has good access for vehicles, and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The rule about no noisy behaviour or guests after 10pm means we had a very peaceful stay.

The room (we've booked Studio on ground floor) was very cozy and warm (perfect for a winter night) the whole night. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hot pools were well maintained and easily accessible. Worked out a perfect place to say for our short trip with our toddler. Highly recommend to people with family.

A hearty welcome from Steve the manager was great after the day we’d spent travelling. The motel is on a relatively quiet road, close to a number of major supermarkets and takeaway outlets. Ideal location when planning day trips in or outside Rotorua. Studio ‘room' was spacious and clean as too was the bathroom and kitchen. Kitchen equipped for cooking basic meals which suited us as we were travelling on a budget. Free Wifi was a bonus as too was the ample parking. Although there was a swimming pool and spa we never took advantage of these but I did notice many other visitors who did. They all seemed to be having fun. Having read reviews of this motel across a number of sites I was rather hesitant about making a booking however it dawned on me that the tone of many reviews seemed to change after a certain date making me wonder if there’d been a change in ownership? It turns out there's been a change in management which I suspect accounts for this. Completely different to how I imagined it would be after all the reviews I’d read. We’d definitely stay there again.

Relaxing evening turned into a stressful late night.

A lovely motel with very friendly staff and in a great position. I had an enormous room with its own balcony and a GIANT spa in the bathroom. It felt very luxurious! Had a great night's sleep and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I walked into town the next morning - about 2km, all flat, a lovely walk on a nice day.

We had a perfect stay at the hotel. The location is in the city centre, close to restaurants, cafes and shops. The rooms were big and comfortable. Large spa in the bathroom and sky TV. The stuff is helpful and friendly. Will definitely come and stay again there.

Very friendly staff who couldn’t do more to assist. Location is 15 minute stroll from the town or 5 minutes by car. Lots of local restaurants and easy access to wherever you want to go! Rooms are in good condition and for a motel certainly well above average. Shower is slightly annoying for anyone over 5’10” - could do with being slightly higher! That was the only issue of a two night stay at a very practical, comfortable motel.

Very clean and tidy.. was the best stay ever in rotorua...hope to come again...good thing about is u self check in and self check out...very secured place. We enjoyed it... it was worth staying for leisure ...and love love love the jacuzzi...

The location of the motel was perfect, we brought our hired car and there was an allocated parking space for each of the motel rooms which was ideal. By car we were roughly 3-5 minutes away from Kuirau park and close to Eat Streat and the boardwalk as well. The motel has recently been refurbished so the bathroom is great and spacious, the towel rack is heated and the shower and hot water work perfectly. There were toiletries included: shampoo and soap provided, plenty of towels and a hairdryer available. The kitchenette was well equipped, there was a stovetop, microwave and kettle as well as kitchenware and cleaning supplies available. The living area and first bedroom were very spacious with a dining table, chairs and sofa too. The separate bedroom was heated before we arrived which was ideal as we stayed in winter and was very cosy - the bed was very comfortable. The overall room was very clean and tidy, would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone staying in Rotorua.

We booked this unit on the day of arrival during Matariki weekend. We were pleasantly surprised at all the features which made our stay really comfortable and easy. The unit was very clean and modern. Beds were very comfy and linen, towels and toiletries were all clean and readily available. Awesome having a surprise ensuite in the front room as an addition to the full bathroom. Great for our family of 5. Lovely front room and awesome options on TV, free wifi and comfort furniture. Easy check in without staff needed. All info was provided by Expedia and easy to access the room via keypad and a spare access card that was hanging inside. The unit was warm and there were lots of blankets and a heater which we used being the middle of winter. It even had a washing machine which we didn’t use but could have - as there was a dryer available next to the unit for guests to use free of charge. Well stocked and handy kitchen and good sized fridge freezer. The greatest tick box for me was the family sized spa which all four of our family happily lounged in and enjoyed. Great to be super close to New World and a few minutes drive from town and amenities making it such a handy location to stay. Excellent value for money. We were in unit 6 in the back corner a which suited us perfectly. Awesome stay and very pleased with everything. We will be back again!

This was a last minute booking for me but it was ideal. Clean and well maintained. Classic older property with modern decor. Has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Checking in was a little awkward but it was a last minute booking so understandable. No views but very private fenced yard, safe and secure accommodation. Despite adjoining rooms I didn't hear much from the neighbours. Well priced. I would stay again.

The motel is very clean and well maintained and the bedding is excellent and very comfortable. It has recently been redecorated and refurnished to a high and comfortable standard. Reception staff although very pleasant and helpful, need very urgent training with the telephone system.

The host was very pleasant and helpful. The beds were comfortable. The room had an excellent kitchen. Very few have hotplates these days. It was a nice surprise. The lounge room was conveniently laid out for watching the TV but also with the dining table in the middle of the lounge it was very pleasant to enjoy breakfast together. So many hotels/motels have the table up against a wall which is often quite cramped. The bathroom has some inconveniences. The door opens into the middle of the room but opens back against the door which helps. There is something happening to the vanity as it is sloping down. Maybe someone sat on it. It looks disconcerting. The pressure in the shower is very low but did the job and there was plenty of hot water. The rooms have jetted tubs which echo around the building into the night. It did not stop me sleeping but I was aware of it because it was around midnight and I could still hear it. There is a DVD player in the room. I could not figure out how to use it. Maybe there were instructions in the room book but I gave up. Some simple instructions by the DVD player would be helpful. It is a good place to stay if you want a comfortable mid-priced hotel. There is no restaurant on site but with the cooking facilities it evens out the benefits. I would stay there again.

My room was very clean, modern and looked to be newly renovated. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Based at Whakarewarewa. It was perfect for us. Easy to get to Everything we needed. Room was large very clean and had all the utensils and pots so we could have breakfast in the morning. The staff were friendly. Only down side was the couch was not that comfy, Overall though we were very happy and would stay again

We really enjoyed our stay. The parking was easy and the room spacious and clean. Lovely shower too! We got a great price compared to similar hotels close by. The room got a little colder at night and it would have been great to have the heat pump on before we arrived and there wasn't enough lighting in the room. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

We had such a great time staying here. It's spotless clean and convenient because everything is equipped. I was worried because rained all day on the day of trip. But this house got rid of that worry. The Jacuzzi was so good with cold day. There was a heat pump, and electric blankets and heaters were prepared in each room, so the owner's consideration could be seen. Also, eggs and milk were provided from owner's warm heart too. We have been to several holiday homes in the countryside, this house is the best. Especially, the screen door on the window was the best for children who hate bugs. It was such a precious time. Thank you to the owner for giving me good memories on this wonderful family trip. I will come back next time and recommend it to all.

The place was spotless and very relaxing. The beds were super comfortable, and the spacious layout was perfect for our family. We really appreciated that it's pet-friendly too. The spa was amazing—definitely a highlight! We’d love to come back again.

The location of the property is great. The view is amazing and it is a very convenient 15 min drive into Rotorua. The surrounding areas of the property are beautiful, a very peaceful and relaxing place to come back to after a full day of adventures. It is very well equipped and the perfect size for a family.

The place was amazing! Private from the main house we felt like we had a little world of our own. Only 15 minute drive into the centre of Rotorua, but no sulphuric smell at all at this place! Very clean, spectacular view both day and night, comfy beds. It was cold the day we arrived but the reverse cycle air con was already on hearing the living room and the electric blankets heating the beds - also had oil heaters in each bedroom we could use. We all found the whole place super comfortable and really nice to stay in - only wished we had stayed longer to enjoy it more and maybe take advantage of the hot tub! Would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

Location was perfect. Just north of Rotorua, convenient to main highways and various attractions. The view was perfect and stargazing was better than I'd seen in decades! The host's hospitality was on point. Not only did she have snacks waiting for us on the table, there were farm-fresh eggs in the refrigerator, as well as milk. Our kids enjoyed "talking" to the sheep and the friendliness of the family's little dogs was the stuff of legends. I'd highly recommend this location, as I would absolutely choose it again!
