The location was central, the staff were friendly, comfortable beds, enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi.

My fiancé and I spent our wedding night here in the room with the private jacuzzi. Talk about luxury! This hotel was everything we imagined and more!

Beautiful with view of the Matterhorn. The suite has a jacuzzi and a sauna, a very nice option to have after a day of mountaining. Jacuzzi was amazing, easily fits 4 Sauna warmed me to the core fits two adults. Separate Bedroom facing the mountain was amazing comfort Living room and deck was spacious and fashionable. The Bistro was delicious, just don’t order too much as the portions are large. All staff were very friendly and helpful

Wonderful place to stay in Zermatt. Gracious and friendly staff were very helpful. The hotel is classy and in excellent condition. The location is very nice, by the river, near the train station, and easy walking to restaurants, shopping, downtown, old town, trails and gondolas. Pleasant balconies with views of the Matterhorn, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Lovely dining room for breakfasts, and a pretty living room with fireplace to hang out in on rainy days, or after skiing.. Nice spa with jacuzzi,sauna and steam baths downstairs, open late afternoons til 8PM.

Gorgeous rooms; breathtaking view or Matterhorn from jacuzzi and all balconies; lovely staff; very unique and luxurious. The staff even gave us free breakfast throughout the stay because the window above the sauna was broken (and unnoticeably so). Our time here was like a surreal dream. Would absolutely stay again.

The staff was incredible. Beautiful views from our balcony. The included spa had a steam room, jacuzzi and sauna which we fully enjoyed. We considered staying another night after we saw the room for the first time! We would definitely recommend this hotel for an enjoyable stay.

Hotel was great, service was very nice, and accommodating. Would be great if the shuttle offered service to the ski lifts, but I don’t know if any hotels in Zermatt do that. Would have also been nice to have slightly larger sauna and jacuzzi.

Overall a very good stay. As previous commentators have noted, the breakfast is noteworthy. With the owners and family living and active on site, this is a bed and breakfast and not a hotel. This may suit some guests but not all. The rooms are well designed with a nice balcony and plenty of hanging space, though some may dislike the open bathroom arrangement. This is purely subjective. The wellness area is of high quality with a good sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, though it can be busy during peak periods. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.

The design of the property was beautiful, the spa facilities were really nice (especially the jacuzzi). I also loved the balcony and view of the mountains.

Such an amazing boutique hotel! The service was excellent, staff really friendly and the hotel had beautiful decor with all little details. Loved the spa department with outdoor jacuzzi and our room with sauna and large bathtub, amazing! Also you must have a fondu dinner in the romantic igloos in front of the hotel. Our stay was so relaxing and dreamy, definitely coming back!

The staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful at all times, the room was lovely, steam room and sauna in the room were a plus, even though you have them for free in the hotel spa. From start to finish. This hotel was a dream. Everything you see is what you get and a bit more. The staff were all so lovely and polite. They made an extra effort on my birthday which I did not even tell them about. Room service was great and always came back to a treat and tidy room. The breakfast was top tier, loads of variety and great quality. My room was beautiful with a picturesque mountain view. Very quiet and homely hotel. Running out of words to describe this place but overall was a dream. The only down side is distance from town centre, I had no problem walking 20-30 mins back and forth as I prefer walking and seeing the town on foot but if you’re unfit or unable to walk long distances it might not be suitable. Downhill on the way to town and uphill on the way back. Lastly the Spa is super. Outside jacuzzi Sauna, steam room, mud baths, face mask and relaxing area. This hotel made our Swiss ski vacation a dream come true. Every staff member we encountered was so incredibly welcoming and helpful. The service you will receive here cannot be beat. From updating us on the mountain conditions, to directing us around town and to the ski area, to making dinner reservations for us in town, to arranging transfers to the train station, and so much more —we felt so well taken care of. If that wasn’t enough, the hotel amenities are so luxurious and comfortable. We spent time in the spa daily, and I had a massage that was fantastic. The rooms are comfortable and roomy, with nice fixtures and added perks (robe, slippers, turndown service at night); even the standard room left nothing to be desired. And we just felt so well taken care of each day, starting with complimentary breakfast in the morning, to complimentary tea and cakes in the afternoon, to pre-dinner drinks or a night cap at the bar, and even a dinner spent in a fondue igloo— everything met or exceeded our expectations. If I ever return to Zermatt, I will definitely be staying at hotel Matthiol again, without question!

Resort La Ginabelle has great facilities - we loved the jacuzzi, “chill out” rooms and pool. The breakfast here is one of the best in all of Switzerland - amazing and delicious selection of food (and an omelet station!) The staff are also very friendly and attentive.

Had a great experience with a lovely room that included a charming sleeping loft for our teenaged son. Huge bathroom with jacuzzi and simply perfect view of the Matterhorn. We would definitely return the next time we are in Zermatt. Also had a sumputous breakfast and lovely dinner at the hotel.

The room was excellent! The nice lady at the front desk upgraded us to a corner room for more space since there were 3 of us. The room was clean, spacious and had a beautiful view of the mountains from our wrap around balcony (totally unexpected)! The bathroom was really spacious for a European hotel. The hotel was a 5 min walk from the train station and located close to restaurants, shops and grocery (a Migros around the corner). The breakfast and free luggage storage were convenient. We only stayed one night, but it was perfect!

Wow, this accommodation is beautiful. The rooms are so nice, clean, spacious, modern. The location is perfect, the breakfast was lovely and the front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. It seems the room has been newly renovated — the design is cozy and beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable. Our corner room had two spacious balconies with a lovely view of the Matterhorn, though it was partially hidden by a pine tree (which made it even more charming, lol). The overall view was fantastic! Breakfast was delicious, and I only wish I had more time to enjoy this wonderful place.

We had a junior suite that had a separate sitting corner. The bathroom was equipped with a jacuzzi which was very nice. Location is great as it is walking distance from the Matterhorn Express. Also its a 5 minute walk from the center of Zermatt. The Sauna itself is very modern and comfortable, however the wellness area needs to be renovated as it dates from 1999 and looks somewhat kitsch.

Zermatt is absolutely gorgeous! My visit to this masterpiece of God and human hands wouldn't have been the same if I hadn't stayed at Hotel Alpenblick. I was surprised by the breathtaking views of Matterhorn from a studio and a room where I stayed at. It is a life experience that every person should have. It's magical to wake up to a breathtaking view of the Swiss Alps. The breakfast was delicious. It's well served at a super clean, organised, welcoming dining room. It's super clean. It's notable that the facilities are well maintained. The staff are lovely. They are very professional, friendly and helpful. Thank you! I loved this hotel. It'll definitely be my first option for another staying in Zermatt.

This is a spectacular property. Our room was large, comfortable, cozy and there were lots of extras. A balcony overlooking the Matterhorn, a large breakfast included with American items like scrambled eggs, waffles, cut up fresh fruit, a nicely stocked mini bar, coffee machine in room, various glasses and mugs, water bottle. A sauna and fitness room. Plus, Zermatt is a fun village with lots of shopping and restaurants. The owner and employees are kind and helpful. A++ rating.

It was all in all a super perfect stay. We just stayed one night before a jump to the Glacier Express but it was absolutely worth it to stay in this hotel for one night. The staff was 100% friendly and helpful with tips of the location, including the hotel app with possibility to check out with webcam the local sight seeing spots (perfect to see if cloudy or sunny). Rooms are super clean and the bed is amazingly comfortable. We had a balcony with view to the Matterhorn. Breakfast was diverse and good quality. If we come back to Zermatt we definitely stay there again!!! Thanks for the great stay.

The view of the Matterhorn from the balcony is very, very good. It was worth it booking this room to get the view. It is also within walking distance of Glacier Paradise, which is convenient. The area is quiet, only the sound of the river at night. The breakfast spread was also superb. Staff were helpful, especially the old guy who seemed in charge. The young lady on checkout was a bit curt, but still helped us get a taxi service

Staying at Jägerhof in Saas Fee was truly outstanding. Upon arriving at the bus station, I called the hotel, and the owner himself came to pick us up, which set the tone for a warm, personalized experience. Once we reached the hotel, he took the time to explain everything about Saas Fee, highlighting activities and must-see spots. We were handed the key to our suite on the 4th floor, complete with a balcony and a breathtaking view of the mountains. The overall atmosphere felt like staying with family, as we shared stories and cultural insights, discovering similarities in our backgrounds. They offer breakfast and dinner daily, and on the evening we dined, they went the extra mile to provide halal/kosher options, which added a special touch of hospitality that we deeply appreciated. The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. We were fortunate to experience both a late summer ambiance and snowfall during our stay, which added a magical touch. Although we came to ski and their ski-in, ski-out feature wasn’t ready due to limited snow, the natural beauty and warmth of the hotel more than made up for it. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel like we had a second family in Saas Fee. We’re already looking forward to visiting again, perhaps in the summer season.

The views from the terraces were spectacular. The beds very comfortable. The breakfast quality and selection was great. And the toy room for children was a great added bonus. But the best part was the warm and friendly welcome, service and attention provided by the lovely family that owns and runs the hotel.

- Very friendly & obliging staff - the 3 bedroom apartment was very clean and in perfect condition - located near center of Zermatt, just about 5 minutes from the church away - extensive breakfast served to the apartment with plenty of free choices - the apartment is specious with a Great view (waterfall & village of Zermatt) - nice and relaxing spa with big jacuzzi, steam sauna - rental station for Mountainbikes (also e-bikes) - conclusion: perfect stay, and we will come back for sure

The property is Superb and luxurious. Our 4th floor apartment was quite, comfortable, clean and modern. The building and furniture is new. Fully equipped kitchen with extra coffee cubes. I loved the breakfast by the terrace which includes variety of delicious menus and spectacular view. The staff was more than welcome and very friendly. I forget my AirPods which was later shipped to my address free of charge. My family was very happy and we left with unforgettable memories. Surely coming back again.

Amazing apartment with beautiful decor. Very clean and modern. Christina at the front desk made us feel welcome and was very attentive to our needs. Breakfast delivered daily was a feast! Beautiful presentation and great quality. The beds are super comfortable and the sound of the waterfall in the bedroom created the most amazing sleep! Location is perfect. Walkable to the town center where we found great shops and restaurants. We will be back!

Truly exceptional apart hotel. One of the best experiences we had in Switzerland. Great, quiet location, just a few minutes walk to the main street. The staff are most amazing, so helpful, welcoming and attentive. The apartment modern designed with great taste and luxury style. Fantastic boutique hotel, steps away from the Matterhorn express cable car, beautiful lounge, outdoor and indoor Jacuzzi/heated pool, tastefully decorated, fantastic rooms

The hotel is very modern and spacious. We booked a de luxe Matterhorn facing room with a balcony and, as the weather was good whilst we were there, we could sit on the balcony and look up at the mountain. The view was very slightly obscured by the edge of the next door suite, but that was only a very slight niggle. The room was a good size and everything was well maintained and good quality.The staff, including the owners, were all very pleasant and helpful . The breakfast buffet was adequate; like all hotels in Switzerland it was mostly a selection of cold foods, although bacon, scrambled and boiled eggs were available. The hotel has a swimming pool and hot spa, which looked high quality, although we didn't try them. It is located next to the cable car for the Matterhorn glacier, which means that it is outside the main town. However, it is only a 10 minute stroll to the town and it is only a gentle incline; you can also use a nearby lift by the cable car to reduce the amount of the climb

We had views to everywhere - View to the town was awesome, view to the Matterhorn was phenomenal (only a utility pole was kinda on its way) however we’ve enjoyed the suit 50 very much so with floor to ceiling glass windows and a big a tub! Breakfast was great with variety of food, local Zermatt yogurt had a unique flavor along with local cheeses and more. Spa area was exceptional with indoor and outdoor pool of course with a view to town and mountains. Staff is extremely nice and helpful when you want to make reservations to restaurants or anything you want, they were very warm to the guests. It was very convenient to just put our skis in the locker room and walk outside right to the gondola. I’d definitely consider staying there again!

After traveling all over the world, I am prepared to say this is likely my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at while on the road. From the second you're picked up at the train station in the Focus electric vehicle (yes, no cars allowed) you feel like a VIP. The driver points out some of the highlights of the town, where to eat/drink, and even a little history. Once you arrive at the hotel, you fly into the side of a mountain (a lot like Batman) and drive up the really awesome cave to the elevator. It's the coolest entry. Once you get up the elevator, you are welcomed at the desk by a staff that's simply unbelievable. The staff at the desk, the bar, the cleaning staff...they're all top notch. The young lady got us checked in quickly and told us to head to our room. The WHOLE hotel is all glass. The elevator, the stairs, the windows...it's glass everywhere. We got to the 5th floor and there we were in a room, all glass, facing the mountains. Once we were settled, we asked...okay, where is the Matterhorn? She said, why not go out on your balcony and look. There it was, outside our door, right there, and as beautiful as ever. The amenities are amazing, the bar amazing, the breakfast delicious. The staff helped us with our hike the next day, also with food recomm., and honestly everything we asked. There is a happy hour each evening with snacks and such in the lobby, we chose to go out on the terrace overlooking the Matterhorn each day. Take advantage.

What can I say. Simply loved this hotel and it staff. From the moment we were picked up to the moment we were dropped off at the end of our stay we were made to feel comfortable. On arriving at the hotel we were greeted with welcoming drinks and shown around the hotel and its facilities. The room was beautifully set out with a wonderful view of the Matterhorn to wake up to. The wellness area is well set out and kept. I loved the pool area it was a nice relaxing place to be inside or out, night or day. The hotel is run in a very at home comfortable style and the staff has great knowledge of the local restaurants and attractions. If you plan on going up the cable car for skiing or hiking or just for a look this hotel,is right next to the cable car station. The hotel is wonderful but if you can get a Matterhorn view that is a amazing bonus.

We had a one night stop over in Zermatt. This was an amazing hotel. We called ahead from Tasch and the electric taxi was waiting as our connection train arrived. Reception staff were really friendly and helpful. Our case and rucksack were stored as we spent the rest of the afternoon on the Gornergrat mountain railroad. One problem was had was the room, with underfloor heating, was far too hot. As we first opened the door, it was uncomfortably hot. Even opening the door to the balcony was ineffective. That aside the room was perfect. Beds and bedding comfortable, welcome cakes, towelling robes and lush toiletries all made it luxurious but the icing on the cake was definitely the magnificent view of the mighty Matterhorn. Sunset and sunrise were spectacular. We had a dip in the outside pool. Beautifully warm and again looking over the big M. A silent nights sleep followed by a breakfast of kings with plenty of quality choices. The electric taxi back to the station ended our short but very successful stay. Do not overlook this amazing place.

Excellent Hotel to stay at Zermatt. Call the hotel ahead and let them know when you are arriving - they will send a local Alpine Taxi to fetch you from the train station to the Hotel. Friendly helpful staff - Reception, Concierge, Restaurant, Cleaner, etc. Beautiful room with a beautiful view. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Big comfortable bed. Great shower with more than enough hot water. Thick fluffy towels.Great restaurant - The Grill - excellent Steak.

From the minute we set foot on the property, we feel so pampered. The check-in was easy and the gal Christine was super friendly and helpful. We had a junior suite with the view of the Matterhorn from our balcony. The separate bathroom and shower is wonderful. The soaking tub is a bonus. I enjoyed spending time in the spa after a long day of exploring Zermatt. Breakfast was delicious. The host from Portugal I think his name is Jorge is welcoming and helpful. Love our stay very much. Will sure return if I visit Zermatt again.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The views—especially of the Matterhorn—are absolutely stunning. The amenities are top-notch, with a beautiful spa area that includes steam rooms, saunas, a hammam, and both indoor and outdoor pools, all with that incredible mountain backdrop. Breakfast was another highlight—tons of variety and even a chef preparing fresh omelets and fried eggs on the spot. The property is spotless, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. The concierge was especially helpful, giving us great recommendations for hikes and things to do in and around the area. Definitely take advantage of their advice! The hotel also offers a free shuttle to and from the train station, which made things so convenient—just let them know your arrival time in advance. As for the location, it’s perfect—close to the main street and everything you’d want to see in Zermatt. The town is small and walkable, so getting around is easy. Highly recommend this place if you're heading to Zermatt!

thé swimming pool is warm and the jacuzzi was hot as it should be. I liked the separate naked zone / spa- though staff should check as some visitors do not respect it and make the ones who respect uncomfortable. location is great. breakfast is good. you can make fresh carrots juice too

Beautiful room with lots of space. Staff were lovely and helpful in picking us up from train station. Bed was so comfy. We were early checking in and they took care of our bags and even put them in our room whilst we were exploring. Very clean and room service was perfect. The breakfast was amazing with so many options. The Thai restaurant inside was so good and perfect when you didn’t want to travel far to eat. Very close to train station 5 to 7 minute walk. The indoor pool and jacuzzi was sublime and the saunas too. We loved our stay here and were so happy we booked it even though it’s a little pricey. Perfect views of Matterhorn waking up in our room. Was a dream! Would highly recommend!!

We came for Nov 21st through Nov 23rd for a couples get away. Estelle made a fantastic first impression on us. She was so kind and attentive! Our room was exactly what had hoped for: cozy, rustic vibes with a view of the mountains. Breakfast was fantastic, and the attendant was the most friendly person you could hope for in the early morning. There were plenty of options, and I especially loved the cherry jam. We did come “before season” so the restaurants were not open and the front desk had become our bartenders (which we loved!). We didn’t mind the mess from the preparation of opening for season (incoming shipments of things) and still felt like we were given the same amount of attention (maybe even better!) as someone staying in season. The three things that could use improvement: Our bathtub leaked, preventing us from using it to soak after a long day. The jacuzzi downstairs was freezing (however, perhaps that’s how it was supposed to be?), and the room was unbearably hot at nighttime (rectified by opening the windows). Overall, we are planning to come back next November. This cozy little hotel was a wonderful escape. We hope to see Ms. Estelle next year as well, as she truly made our getaway special.

We just spent one week at the hotel Albana Real In the heart of Zermatt Switzerland. This small hotel is a gem! The wonderful staff was always available to answer questions and give good advice. Each room was decorated slightly different, but they all were very beautiful. We had a balcony and an upscale bathroom. From my window I had a absolute magnificent view of the Matterhorn. Breakfast and dinner were Included in our package. The hotel has three restaurants including an Italian, Thai, and hibachi. The meals at all three of these restaurants were excellent. I had my children and four grandchildren with us and they also enjoyed the diverse menu and food. Daily breakfast included omelettes, multiple cheeses and bread, fruits, and a selection of meats including delicious prosciutto. The hotel is located near the bus stop with frequent free buses that takes us to all the major lifts. The amenities at the hotel included a spa, pool, hot tub, sauna, beautiful ski lockers, bar and sitting area. I would certainly give this hotel an excellent rating which made our family vacation so wonderful.

We stayed here in July of this year (2024) and were delighted with our beautiful room with a view of the Matterhorn. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Great breakfasts. We only ate in the 'Entrecote' restaurant downstairs, out of the 3 available, which was very nice. Good food and friendly, helpful staff. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

The hotel Cervo is a “design hotel” located just above the entrance to the Sunegga funicular and a 5-10 minute walk into the main town area. More then a hotel it is a group of chalets. The first acts as the communal area (restaurant/bar); the rest of the chalets constitute the guest rooms. Each chalet (assuming they are all similar to ours) has a spa area - with sauna and outdoor jacuzzi. Our room was large - minimalist in decor - but very comfortable. Three large floor to ceiling windows provided us with a fantastic view of the mountains. We had a standard room so no view of the Matterhorn, however, breathtaking nonetheless. Tea and coffee facilities were included as well as a free mini bar with some soft drinks and beer. Bottled water was provided every day as well as little “gifts” with turn down (chocolates/cookies and the such). The bathroom included a bath and shower with Molton Brown toiletries. The breakfast was served in the main building and was delicious with both buffet and a la carte (eggs, pancakes, French toast...) option. This hotel is perfect for those who want to be close to the action, with plenty going on (the hotel has good apres ski facilities as it is located on the main piste down from sunegga and above) whilst maintaining the peace and tranquility of being further up the mountain in very comfortable surrounds. Our one complaint (which we flagged to the hotel) is that out of our 7 day stay the jacuzzi was in operation two evenings.

We spent 7 nights at Cervo after staying at a nearby hotel the past two trips to Zermatt, and we will definitely be back. The service was wonderful, starting with attentive check-in and getting everything up to our room, amazing breakfast included (espresso, eggs/waffles cooked to order, great buffet). I loved the spa too - small and tucked away, with a small pool and spacious hot tub and a GREAT sauna with showers and a beautiful view of the Matterhorn, relaxation room, steam room, etc. The location is easy to launch hikes on the Riedweg and up into the mountain trails. Our room was super quiet and private, with a beautiful balcony with Matterhorn view. The turndown and housekeeping was great - discreet and left everything fresh while we were out in the morning and evening. Great bedding. This is a hotel for a relaxing getaway, great food at Madre Nostra and Bazaar - beautiful cocktail patio with views - also a great launching location for hiking, easy walk into town. Highly highly recommend! The ONLY less than stellar part was the room service burger - overcooked and tough which was a bummer after a long day of hiking, especially for 40CHF apiece. Other than that the restaurants were all great (try the tartufo pasta at Madre Nostra and the labneh at Bazaar, and the spritzes and great wines by the glass) and the service top notch from beginning to end, we will definitely be back!

Nestled right on the mountain, the resort offers breathtaking views and easy access to both the slopes and the heart of Zermatt. Whether you’re skiing, hiking, or just relaxing, everything you need is right at your doorstep. I can’t recommend CERVO highly enough – it’s the perfect alpine escape. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Had a blissful 2.5 days at the Cervo. Stayed in the Nomad lodge because it is closer to the spa. The room was fantastic, really loved it, stylishly furnished. Very comfortable bed. Great stuff included such as a lightweight mammut rucksack that could be borrowed and/or purchased in the shop. We ate at the italian restaurant one night on the terrace - food was delicious and a good selection, although I do think more choice for vegetarians would enhance the offer. We ate in bar the other night - Middle Eastern/asian delicacies - again fantastic. Breakfast was amazing with a super choice of cooked/prepared options plus a large buffet. Finally, the spa is incredible and where we spent every afternoon and some of the morning we left. Worth going to the hotel just for the spa, we had a 90 minute deep tissue massage by Malanka and Javi who were both amazing. Felt completely blissed out by the massage - probably the best I've ever had. Finally, all the staff are lovely, whether the servers, the spa people, and front desk. I would personally flag the Czech front desk guy whose name I can't remember who was really lovely when we arrived at 9.30pm and checked us out. Also, the guy from Barcelona who drove us to the station when we left - both kind, attentive and engaging. I can't recommend the Cervo enough and I would definitely return the next time I'm in Zermatt.

Breakfast was great and set us up every day for a hike in the hills. Location was ideal, near the station & central for bars & restaurants. The view of the Matterhorn from the terrace bar & restaurant was amazing. The staff need a special mention as they were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. All in all a great stay :-)

The hotel sits high overlooking Zermatt and is close to the Sunnegga lift. It has a traditional, old-school Swiss feel to it--which we really liked. There is an awesome tunnel in the village that leads to a lift for easy access to the hotel. Our room had a great view of the Matterhorn when the weather allowed. The breakfast was delicious and loved by everyone in our family. The linens were cozy and comfortable. The hotel staff serviced our room every day and provided turn-down service at night. The convenient boot room with warmers and locked ski room were much appreciated. The deck provided a great view of the village apres ski. And the cozy bar was a nice final stop in the evenings.

Fantastic location, spectacular views of the Matterhorn from room and restaurant. Great breakfast and dinner. Friendly and helpful staff throughout. Nice electric car to collect and deliver you to the train station. Room was spacious and clean with really comfortable large bed.

Schoenegg hotel in Zermatt has a unique position offering an unrestricted view of Matterhorn, very comfortable and importantly with a friendly helpful staff - an example of Swiss hospitality. The breakfast is exceptional and the restaurant offers very high quality menu.

Room is good size, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner are both great. Location is excellent. View is fantastic. All the staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient.

Excellent location, easily walkable once you know about the tunnel and dedicated lift. Breakfast selection was good, the in-house restaurant is also worth a visit (we enjoyed our dinner there very much). The view from the restaurant is another positive point. The staff (hotel and restaurant) was overall very friendly and professional. Our room was in the 'Charm' category, i.e. there are upgraded versions available. We found it more than acceptable in terms of size, comfort and amenities. We had an excellent stay in Zermatt and the hotel played its part. We would definitely consider coming back

We absolutely loved this hotel! The staff was amazing and so kind. The views were incredible! Food was also incredible including the breakfast included with the stay!! We had to leave super early our last day for a train and they even packed us breakfast bags for the go which was so sweet and made our early morning easy and delicious! Only complaint is the shower. I don’t know if all rooms have it but it’s just a handheld shower head on the wrong side making it difficult to shower and get water all over the floor. So some shower updates and this place would be perfection!

It’s worth the splurge for a room with a view. The view was amazing. The pool and sauna area are also great with a great view. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was worried it would be too far from the main road but the location was perfect and easy and right next to the ski rental shop and lift. Breakfast was good and they have a shuttle from the train station. 10/10 would definitely stay here again. Everything was perfect.

A perfect one night stay! Staff was nice, helpful and informative. Included breakfast was the best breakfast I ever had. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious with a perfect view of the Matterhorn. My boyfriend and I had a great time.

The staff at the Schoenegg was very friendly, helpful and efficient. We were able to ski into the hotel and the train up to the mountain is only a short walk away. Breakfast was good but more importantly, the Gluehwein (home made after the hotel's own recipe) was amazing. Other positives were the view from the room, a nice spa area, cozy bar/restaurant, overall cleanliness of the hotel/rooms. The room itself was comfortable but the beds could use an upgrade. If it wasn't for the beds, I would have definitely agreed with the 4.5 star average rating.
