Very clean property. We stayed in a deluxe suite with a jacuzzi and it was very spacious. The property offers a breakfast for $10 and it was worth the money. The breakfast cook lady was very accommodating and made omlettes, eggs and pancakes made to order. The location is about 15 mins from the airport. Would love to stay here again.

If you need a charming, homey place to stay near the Cariari area, this is it! Cecilia and Mario are the best hosts, and they will make you feel like you are part of the family. My room was spacious, immaculately clean and had everything I needed for a 4-night business trip. There is a mini-bar in the room (bottled water is free), and guests have access to the full kitchen of the main house, just outside your room. The views of the golf course are awesome. Walk 3 minutes to the Hard Rock bar/restaurant. Less than 1 minute to the new "Beer Factory" bar, and 5-minute walk over the pedestrian bridge to the mall with many restaurant/bar options.

A delicious typical breakfast was included. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, very clean and relaxing with a garden view. It's a small family run hotel so any issue is resolved quickly. We have stayed here many times while visiting San Jose.

This property is amazing! Beautifully decorated, lovely grounds and setting, exceedingly clean and well cared for. The owners are wonderful. They are friendly, warm, and helpful. We did have a slight issue with enough hot water for a tub (some rooms have showers), but as I haven't seen that mentioned by any other reviewers, perhaps it was a fluke. We highly recommend this hotel, it is also convenient to the airport and a shuttle service is available.Breakfast was also included and was prepared by a lovely woman who made eggs to order, with pancakes, fruit, beans/rice, and toast. You also have access to the adjoining golf course pool and restaurant, which we did not have time to take advantage of. The hotel is located in a nice mixed residential/business area with very nice homes.- the hotel itself looks like it is a converted home. On our first night in San Jose we stayed in a big name hotel chain, and the Terrazas (on the last night of our trip) was so much better in every way. I wish we could have spent more time there.

We have stayed at Terrazas several times when travelling to Costa Rica; It is convenient to the airport,but also a very comfortable and friendly small hotel. We feel very much at home; it is a family run business and we feel treated as family also It has an open feel, with a central garden and fountain, a beautifuly back garden and faces a golf course in the back. It is immaculately clean, and the staff are very helpful. It sits in a very nice residential neighbourhood; it is pleasant to walk in this area; there a restaurants and stores just a short distance away

I highly recommend this place, is beautiful and cozy, great for couples. I whent with frinds and they welcome my friends and had no problem having them stay in front of the pool talking all afternoon. It was awesome. I wish the jacuzzi was warm. Everything was great. I will come here again.

my goodness!!!!!!!! My experience was FABULOUS. 1st off if they've received a negative review I can't imagine why it must be a total nasayer. In my experience my room was quite lovely. Everything was impeccably clean the television was amazing the sliding glass doors with the view of the golf course was amazing both of the beds were perfectly made and extremely comfortable with nice linen. The towels were presented so nicely everything was fresh and clean. The little kitchen at with the microwave and refrigerator coffee maker was awesome the water pressure was excellent and with hot water. I really like how they have the bathroom separated with the sliding glass door. They're simple little details in the room that are obviously Upgraded ifelt modern. Unfortunately I came on a rainy day but I did still use the pool even though it was cold because I was so excited for it. It's a darling pool just big enough. I left for the airport too early for breakfast but I hear good things. I enjoyed the room so much that it decided to order in the gentleman at the desk assisted me with ordering Uber eats and delivered it to my room with all my tableware. I thought everybody there was just exceptional. The parking is extremely secure you need to let them know that you are going to take a space because it is behind huge gate. If you need to park on the road I do feel as if this neighborhood is exceptionally safe and I don't see an issue with parking on the street if nehad

Beautiful, private property in a lovely neighborhood, a short drive to the airport. Walking distance to several excellent restaurants and a high end grocery. The rooms were quiet, clean, modern, and very comfortable, with lovely amenities. Breakfast was delicious and so generous. The courtyard and pool area are a relaxing place to unwind after a long journey or time spent in the downtown area of San Jose. The couple who hosted us was exceptionally welcoming, and gave us suggestions with maps for where to eat, and places to go (and not go) downtown. We loved staying here and are so thankful for this experience-- will come again when we return to San Jose!

Unfortunately, we only stayed 1 night around a flight to San Jose but Alameda Cariari was amazing! The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet. The view of the golf course from our room was second to none! Staff went above & beyond to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the area felt very safe. I would absolutely recommend, and will definitely return!

Pretty, cozy and comfortable hotel in a quiet neighborhood close to the airport. Comfy beds, clean room, delicious breakfast, friendly staff and beautiful views over the golf course and hills. Refreshing pool. A great place to start and end our holiday.

This property is next door to the art museum, recommended site to visit, close to their national football stadium, onsite car rental--but another car rental 3 minutes walking right around the corner for almost 1/2 the price. The room was very clean and spacious and the bed comfortable. There are 2 restaurants onsite- a Japanese, where we ate once and their main restaurant--where we ate delicious daily breakfast and dinner a few nights, also delicious. The staff was awesome, the place clean and quiet. There is also a casino on site, but I didn't visit so can't make addtl statement. 5 minutes drive from downtown San Jose and 25 apprx from the airport. Would stay here again.

Everyone was exceptional at this beautiful hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Mariana devoted a good amount of time helping us with boarding passes, and Arturo (I think that was his name) in the hotel restaurant made our dinner meals much more enjoyable by his excellent service and upbeat personality. The included breakfast was terrific each time. No complaints and we’d return in a heartbeat.

The good: very friendly people, clean rooms and comfy beds. Food is ok, breakfast choice is exceptional. The not so good: birds walking on tables at breakfast, stealing food. It is for you if: you want to have solid, standard quality and in the center. Also, if you dont mind a little pricey rates and sharing your breakfast with birds🙄

We spent 10 days here. We used the hotel as our home base, as we had expeditions outside of San Jose booked 6 of the days. The room was very comfortable. We opted for a room on a higher floor as some reviews I had read, complained of hearing road noise on the lower floors. We really enjoyed the breakfast spread each day. And it was good that breakfast started at 5 am, worked well for us. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We ate once at the Nativo restaurant and the Japanese restaurant “Fuji”on the 2nd floor. The food at both was very good. If there was one thing that I would improve is that the swimming pool needs a water heater. The day I went in, it was not very sunny so the water was quite cool. Also a hot tub and steam sauna would be nice. The gym is well equipped:

Although there was one staff member at the front desk that seemed to be sour all the time, thank goodness she was not representative of the other staff. The other staff outside of that lady were exceedingly friendly and helpful. There were two staff members (Ezequiel and Nancy) who were exceptional, as they went out of their way to be of assistance. Ezequiel and Nancy were absolutely amazing! The breakfast buffet was not only of great value, but the food was fantastic as well. I had a very positive experience at the hotel and would definitely stay at there again.

This hotel is comfortable, it's fine. Not some luxury palace, here are some pluses. The beds, and I stayed in two different rooms on two separate occasions: are comfortable. Air conditioning - works fine and can adjust down to 18 if needed that cold. Cleanliness, acceptable. Rooms Safe? YES and easy to use. Shower okay, but old. The hotel is older, rooms showing age. Everything works, but aging. So if you are here for an overnight, or a few days, who cares. UBER super easy from this hotel to get to San Jose or Airport. From airport there is a shuttle on the hour, but I used the taxi (no uber) from airport ! Cost about 30 US dollars, to hotel from airport. Coffee in the rooms. Not good, silly. In fact on my second night, the cleaning staff didn't bother refilling or even cleaning my coffee cup. I could have brought it up to management but did not, I wasn't bother by it because I did not bother with the horrible coffee packets. Instead, go to the bar restaurant downstairs. Coffee is free. Super great and really fun! the bar area. Flight crews and temporary travelers hanging out, having a good time. Bartenders are super great. I mean world class, nice people, polite and helpful. The food is good in the restaurant. Hot tip, if you are looking for real Ceviche, order the "Acapulco Ceviche" at the bar. The menu has fried, which is not authentic, yet it is tasty. There was an Italian night with a buffet and real opera singers when I was there. Incredible. So fantastic. I'll B back

We visited to celebrate our Honeymoon. This hotel was absolutely perfect. The wildlife, nature, and open design down the hallways were beautiful. The buffet breakfast is worth the extra expense for food to start off each day. We are gold status with Hilton so it was free for us. The service is amazing. Hotel staff are very attentive and seek to ensure you are satisfied with everything. The pool was very enjoyable with the pool bar. They also have a bar and restaurant immediately inside near the pool. This was truly a little oasis inside the city! We highly recommend!!

Lobby bar restaurant food was delicious. Nice hot showers and clean rooms. Walking distance to a supermarket and many eateries. We did the afternoon city tour with Hector arranged by the excursion desk at the hotel. Hector was very knowledgeable and took us to eat at a typical Costa Rican restaurant. I had the beef stew and it was delicious. My friends had the stew. Pool and hot tub were nice and clean. Front desk gave warm cookies everyday and arranged a hotel shuttle at 4am even though it usually starts at 4am. Loved our stay. Did the chocolate making excursion too which we booked online. There is lots of traffic during rush hour so plan ahead. Easy to book ubers.

We learned from reviews that most rooms have no AC at this hotel except suites. When I called to upgrade, Kailene upgraded it for free! Thank you so much! It was a nice room with jacuzzi, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very simple Costa Rican style. The only issue is the train passing, it starts by 5am and stops before 9pm. Just go to bed early and rise early. Healthy living!!

I had to stay in San Jose between all my travels to other places in Costa Rica and always came back to this hotel. I was there during my birthday and all the staff knew it and wished me a happy birthday... what a nice surprise! Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I was by myself, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The location is great- a block from the national museum and close to downtown and the Jade Museum. You get one free smoothie for staying there, and a buffet breakfast. The breakfast consisted of fruit, pineapple, watermelon, papaya, eggs, rice and beans, cereal, coffee, bread, and juice. Costa Rica is not cheap and this wonderful buffet breakfast really adds to the value of this hotel. Everything is really clean. They have hairdryers if you need one. For the price of this hotel, you really get your money's worth. If and when I return to Costa Rica, I'd stay at this hotel.

We stayed three nights at this charming well-decorated boutique hotel with a French flair. The hotel is actually an original Victorian mansion that was converted. The hotel is located in the heart of San Jose near most major attractions (museums, market, restaurants, etc). The room we stayed in, the “Poma”, was spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds. By the way, all the rooms are named after flowers native to Costa Rica. We also enjoyed the breakfast which was included. But what made this hotel memorable was the staff. They were helpful, professional and friendly. They went out their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed. They even assisted us in making appointments at the hospital Clinica Biblica for our required COVID-19 tests. I would highly recommend this hotel. Value 5/5

Very walkable location. Lovely buffet breakfast. Staff are nice but I had to ask for a map and tour info. Rooms come with a safe, which is nice. Great shower with soap. Clean rooms. Rooms are small but there are Lovely common areas where you can sit. The front porch is especially inviting. The hotel can be noisy about once an hour when the train passes behind it and blows its horn. But it’s quiet at night. Location is within walking distance to National Museum, Jade Museum, Gold Museum, National Theater, Artisans’ Market, Central Market, grocery stores and restaurants.

A fantastic, characterful hotel. Immaculate cleanliness, ceiling fan keeping room cool and comfortable. Friendly staff. Centrally located to explore central San Jose on foot. Breakfast: limited selection but fresh, tasty and plenty of it. Airey, spacious room with 2 double beds for a family of 4. New bathroom with a great shower. Cannot fault the place. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel let me store my bags in the rom, which was helpful. Spectacular view of San Jose! Dormitory setting with shared bathroom, but no problem, as we had the place to ourselves!

We were the only guests in this immense villa, amazing views over the city, pool, gardens, cooking facilities. A little bit hard to find specially at night. Great stay

We booked the Courtyard by Marriott Escazu mainly because of the great location, close to some great restaurants and shopping. It ended up being the most enjoyable stay and experience and we have already booked another stay for next month. We received a beautiful welcome and glass of champagne for being Bonvoy Gold members and the service provided a warm welcome that was evident each day of our stay. The bed was soft and comfortable with great linens and the window shades were very dark and allowed us a chance to sleep in each morning. We were also really happy with the vibe at the bar in the evenings as their were always a nice crowd of people with good energy but still chill and relaxed. Overall, it was a great stay and I will be coming back soon. Pros: Location, convenient to great food and shopping. Amazing service more common to 5 star hotels. Cozy, comfortable beds and linens. The rain shower, showerhead. Cons: None

I had a fantastic time are the Country Yard Marriott Escazú.was super friendly and helpful.They had a fantastic breakfast buffet that I looked forward to every morning.Diego was especially helpful providing information on great nature sites to visit and his kindness was greatly appreciated.The hotel was immaculate and always cleaned every day that I stay there. Now the service was great each day and I love the fact there was always clean towels in the room. The staff was very knowledgeable. Sometimes I’ve went to had drinks at the bar and the drinks were phenomenal Costa Rica. I definitely wish I could’ve stayed here longer..

The courtyard by Marriott exceeded our expectations for a 1 night stay. This hotel is beautiful for the value, extremely clean, modern and modern amenities. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful (shout out to the maintenance man who helped go through the trash to look for something I lost). They went above and beyond in this short stay. The bed was SUPER comfortable and I just wish I could have had a longer stay here. We also liked that there were restaurants within walking distance as well as being centrally located to the airport.

Clean, spacious, quiet comfortable room with good amenities. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Adjacent mall (easily walkable) had many attractions and dining options.

Modern Courtyard located across from Multi plaza, close to other restaurants in the area, and about 15-20 minutes away from downtown. I appreciate that they value Bonvoy elite Members. Me and my family enjoyed our Courtyard Suite with a balcony, it’s equipped with a microwave, fridge, dining table, both bed and couch were very comfortable. The room has two doors dividing the bedroom and living room space, if you close the door from either room, it locks up, so the guest in the opposite room has to either knock or go outside to the hallway and access the room from the door next to the room. It’s laid out this way for privacy purposes. Elevator was a bit small and slow, luckily it’s only a few floors. The Gym was nice. Had two TVs, a scale, water, treadmills, bikes, dumbbells, Teo bow flex dumbbells as well, towels, and it’s open 24 hours. The Breakfast was fantastic, loved the juice options, especially the green juice. Coffee was very good, plenty of food options like Gallo Pinto, Maduros, Pastries, Eggs, Yogurt, Pancakes, Hash browns, Bread, Cheese, Guacamole, etc.. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This is a beautiful hotel. The reception staff are amazing. The facilities are fantastic. Comfy bed and water bottles provided. Coffee machine plus coffee provided. TV works but in spanish. The room was great for storage had a desk, bedside lamp. Great artwork around the hotel. I felt extremely safe at the location. Breakfast was lovely boiled eggs, coffee, Tea, bread fruit and also Gallo Pinto. I highly recommend that you stay. A good quality hotel as you would expect back home in uk. I would rate this a 4 star. Location wise quite central walking distance to large supermarkets and the central plaza.

I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast offered at the accommodation. The room itself was immaculate, displaying a modern aesthetic and boasting a balcony that provided a breathtaking view of both the cityscape and the majestic mountains in the distance. The staff members were not only fluent in English, but also incredibly courteous and friendly, making you feel warmly welcomed and cared for, almost like a member of their own family. The facilities provided were top-notch cleaning up room every day, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay throughout my visit.

Beautiful old building with a lovely breakfast room with dark wood. Breakfast was abundant and kept me going until dinner. Reception staff extremely helpful in organising pick up from airport, early check in and taxis. Room was large, lovely hot shower and appreciated the filter coffee machine in the room. Staff work hard keeping everything spotless. Excellent location for visiting National Museum, National Theatre and a supermarket only a few 100m away. Ideal location

Marcos and the staff are excellent. Helpful and friendly. The breakfast is delicious with fresh squeezed orange juice. The location is perfect.

On arrival the lovely receptionist, Nazaretha, upgraded me to the Fleur de Lys suite. The hotel is decorated in old, colonial style, with beautiful murals. It is spotlessly clean, and my room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is very good. Excellent value for money.

Ilike the location is quiet and safe area, the staff were friendly also enjoyed the sound of the bird in the patio area in the morning, by the way I have to mention every day a new breakfast, so delicious; that made the different in my stay

We only stayed at the hotel for one night - as the start of our round trip through Costa Rica. The rooms were clean and functionally furnished - the beds were very comfortable. Only the shower could do with a bit more power - it also flooded the whole bathroom. The food in the restaurant was good - but there are certainly better and cheaper options out there. Breakfast was - according to Costa Rican standards - ok, but nothing special. The hotel was absolutely adequate for one night - price-performance also okay.

I stay here with my family and also with the yoga retreat groups I bring every time I come to Costa Rica. I love this place and I highly recommend it! The service is incredible, and the people who work here love it and have been working here for many years, which is a testament to great management. I just love being able to get here within 15 minutes from the airport, and be transported to this peaceful and tranquil setting, a world apart from its surroundings, with room for strolling under great big trees and beautiful flowers all around. The breakfast is great, and there’s also the steakhouse if you’re into have you dinners. There’s a nice little pool to lounge around, the tennis court, and a fun children’s playground. There’s a pool table and foosball. The rooms are lovely, with comfortable beds, a big clean bathroom, AC and TV with Netflix. WiFi is pretty good even in rooms. This is a great place to bring families and groups, and just anytime you need a place to stay near the airport. The staff is very responsive and helpful. I have been emailing back-and-forth with Loreana to coordinate the group logistics for the last two years and she’s always quick to respond and helpful. Davis, One of the waiters, is so friendly and helpful, and has been working here over 20 years.

We stayed for 2 nights and absolutely loved this hotel! Beautiful grounds, pool, tennis court, billiard and excellent customer service from hotel and restaurant staff. The room was clean, spacious, with a small balcony, queen beds very comfortable. Our stay included a la carte breakfast, which was tasty and filling. We had dinner at the steakhouse, which has a nice decor and delicious food and wine choices. The hotel staff was nice to organize a breakfast to-go for us since we had an early morning flight. Great hotel, highly recommend!

Stayed here two separate nights. Check in was super quick. Vegetarian options for dinner were very limited. A large salad was very satisfying. The beds were large and comfortable if a bit high off the floor. The coffee maker worked fine. The room and bathroom were spacious. The first room we stayed had two showers, one inside the bathtub and one outside. Due to poor plumbing and drainage the water never drained and instead started flowing into the sink areas and also the room. Breakfast was very good and satisfying. The hotel grounds were pretty and well maintained. The staff were helpful and courteous in the reception, housekeeping and particularly the restaurant. The wifi worked great. Overall an excellent option for staying near the airport.

We stayed there for one night before flying back home, since our flight was early in the morning. The hotel is quite nice, some pieces are outdated, but still in good condition. The area is very quiet and well maintained. The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful. That includes the cat who may walk with you to your room ;) Plenty of parking space. The rooms are different from other hotels, lots of wood, even wooden floors. I loved it, better feeling than ceramic tiles and plain white walls. The beds are comfortable and large. The bathrooms are a bit old but everything works and everything is spotless. The only thing I would mention is that there are no fridges and coffee makers in the room. You can actually ask for the coffee maker. But for the fridge - you will have to get some ice (near the pool table). Please note that this review does not cover the steak house, only the hotel.

Cute local property, close to the airport. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant on site, free breakfast was tasty and made to order. Tennis courts were in great shape. 24 hour guard on the property. Pretty grounds with outdoor seating areas. I was able to purchase water, beer and snacks from the lobby and given a discount to use at the restaurant. I walked to shop and a local bar (karaoke) for a late night snack. McDonald's is also within walking distance.

Beautiful 2 story with awesome staff. Breakfast was delivered to the door. We got shuttled from airport. Jacuzzi was nice to have in our own room. We definitely will stay again.

This place is huge! We were just staying one night after flying but is could be a destination. There are two and a half bathrooms, a jacuzzi bath, beds for for and a well equipped kitchen. The showers were amazing and best part, walk right out the pool area.

Okay yall, this was a 2 day plan for this rental. Stayed a week. The property itself I have no words. I was in apartment 14 open the door and there is the pool. Pretty much had the pool to ourselves as the place wasn’t busy! 24 hour security. Diego works 7-7 day. He knows pretty good English and even offered a few cool places to check out. A short walk to fresh market and other close by restaurants Diego offered El Shrimp Shack which was amazing food! The lady that cleaned our room was excellent! We came back from an entire days out and she pad everything cleaned up fresh linen and towels and even organized our belongings. And wrapped up our fresh fruit, we had out by mistake on the counter as we were starting the day a little late. Was able to get more sugar for no charge from the desk. Which was also exceptional service and he knew English! A lot of birds and wildlife around in the trees waking you up so we rarely used our alarm. The entire place is gated. I absolutely loved the stay Oh and 2 full bedrooms downstairs has 2 beds with full bathroom Half bathroom in hallway by kitchen and upstairs bedroom (master) full bathroom with jacuzzi a lot of storage places and fridge Full kitchen with appliances!

Apartotel Obelisco is a gated community with 20+ apartments in it. We arrived late around 11pm but Apartotel staff was so nice and kind and welcomed us graciously. We stayed at this property for six nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Apartment was very spacious, comfortable and convenient for a family of five. Two rooms with full baths and a 1/2 bath on the main floor was very convenient for everyone. There is one water pool shared for all apartements was very convenient to enjoy and relax when needed. Pool water was clean and it was maintained well throughout our stay.

There is space for everything you need. It is not an open design but you have table and chairs on your own terrace. The breakfast is simple but different every day with fresh juice and always fresh fruit. There is a Fresh Market (smaller and different than the US) within walking distance but may be a challenge for those that have trouble with uphill walks.This is a peaceful area which is a plus in the Central Valley

We had a two person jacuzzi in the room. Very romantic!

The Sportsman Lodge is a well-maintained and secure establishment, offering a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The rooms are exceptionally clean, and the staff is attentive to guests' requests. We requested accommodations away from the bar, and they were happy to accommodate us. The food was excellent, and the overall experience was highly satisfying. Evenings were particularly enjoyable, with lively game viewings adding to the atmosphere. I highly recommend this lodge for a pleasant stay—just be sure to request a room away from the bar for a quieter experience.

Everyone of the staff members were exceptionally helpful and the food was delicious. The facility isn't new,... but it is well maintained, clean and very comfortable. Relaxed atmosphere and I will stay there again.

We had a great time, got to attend a pool-side reggae party, went on a short zip line tour, soaked in a jacuzzi and had a great lunch. The rooms are nicely decorated with a television, small desks etc.

Parking is a bit of a challenge and as an old guy had to carry my bags up a long hill to my room. Arriving at this room away from the noise of the world wad worth it though once I got to relax and enjoy the amazing scenic night view(s). The bar restaurant has a great menu and reasonable (for a hotel/resort) prices. The room is great and has a Jacuzzi!!!!

Tres bien, beaucoup d’activités et de choses a faire dans un meme endroit, nous avons pu profité de plusieurs piscines, jacuzzi, et l’activité canopy, le coucher de soleil est tres beau a voir depuis cet endroit. Le restaurant par contre a éviter, j’ai commandé du poulet le soir et rien qu’a l’odeur j’ai compris qu’il n’etait pas mangeable, a part ca tout etait tres bien et nous reviendrons avec plaisir, idéal pour aller en famille

The ladies at the reception don't necessarily have the best customer service, but I went to relax and didn't pay much attention and I just wanted them to give me the keys and go to the room. However, it's important to greet the guests properly and professionally, this is vital. Other than that, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was great, with a spacious bathtub. The pool was so much fun, and the hot tubs are very comfortable as well. It was not that difficult to have one for ourselves and relax with privacy. The food and drinks at the restaurants are completely amazing. They have Happy Hour from 4pm to 8pm and their Piña Colada is incredible. The service was remarkable and the view is worth it. It was quiet at night and you can actually relax. The breakfast (included) was delicious and they served a generous amount of food. This is an excellent option for a weekend getaway with your partner, friends or family, I absolutely recommend it and 10/10 would go back.

Great location. Amazing staff, breakfast and installations. Just concerned about the “hot” water in the Master Suite, despite my call to service room, and they tried to fixed, I can’t use the jacuzzi at the room. Still cold water at the shower and the jacuzzi as well.

The room was huge! A complete apartment with washer and dryer and kitchen. The breakfast was amazing, one of the best. With the security guard and gate, it felt very secure in the city. The pool area was lovely. I liked the open air corridors outside of the rooms. We could also open the windows in the room which makes it very nice. We ate dinner in the restaurant and had a nice basic meal. The grounds are clean and the landscape and art is special. The room was clean. Some reviews mention that it is dated but really it's not. Not brand new but does that even matter? Best value I've ever had in a hotel.

I thought it was good, room was clean had everything we needed. Air conditioning worked well other then it was loud. Didn't bother me tho I was just there to sleep I would go back. Breakfast was very simple, coffee wrap, banana, cookie, turnover . Juice tea or coffee . For what I was looking for it was more then enough for me . I'd go back if I was staying in San Jose. As I just slept there and was not there much at all

The service is amazing in the entire hotel. In the coffee bar, the waiter Rudy Araya in the was very helpful and super welcoming. He went out of his way to heat our food that we already had and serve out for us in plates. He also added an extra shot of coffee in my cappuccino when I thought it wasn’t strong enough. We felt really great appreciating his service and gentleness and his smile. The water with fresh strawberry he offered us was super refreshing and delicious actually. We also got our shoes cleaned in the laundry service by two amazing ladies, which was really impressive to have it on time and super clean after a long hike. The room was ok, not what you expect in a 5 star hotel. Shower drainage was not functioning properly. Hair dryer holder was loose. Hair dryer very old and weak. They wanna save energy but the shower takes 5 min of running water to get hot. Things looked old. We enjoyed our stay. Also the jacuzzi was nice , maybe needed some cleaning and a bit of maintenance but it was ok. The lady at the pool bar was also amazing and super helpful and being extra nice getting us towels by herself. We were a bit disappointed about the breakfast options and quality of coffee offered.

I loved staying at this hotel. The grounds and plantings are gorgeous, the pools feel totally luxurious and all the public spaces feel spacious, clean and elegant. They offer free airport transfers and one can pick up and drop off a rental car right at the hotel, how convenient is that.!!! My room was just fine. I had requested a refrigerator and got one. Beds were comfortable and room was spacious, and I thought great for the price. My granddaughters loved the pools. I plan on staying here again when i have to leave Costa Rica by air. The only complaint is the restaurant ran out of red wine, and 2 of the dishes i wanted to order. The cleaning staff for my room were exceptionally gracious, friendly and kind. I also had a dental problem while i was there and was able to walk to the “Dental Smile Center”, which did a great job helping me. It is also walking distance to a fresh market grocery store, and it was easy to get to downtown San Jose via uber. Yes the hotel is older, but that’s why the plantings are so nice. They even have a garden with a mango tree. The gym is one of the best equipped i have run into in a hotel. So 5 stars

If you live a quiet and simple life, this is the hotel for you. If you enjoy the outdoors, this is the hotel for you. The open hallways to the rooms are very nice. The fresh air atmosphere, not being cluttered inside a building, is very peaceful. Our flight was delayed a few times, being this was our first time visiting Costa Rica, Jennifer was VERY helpful and patient, ( I had to email her a few times) which she informed me of the shuttle service time and the shuttle was there and waiting. Arriving at 8pm in Costa Rica for the first time, just imagine. The Staff was very friendly, and the hospitality was great. If you don't live a simple, relaxing life this is not the hotel for you. But if you live a complex life and want to relax this is the hotel for you. And the reason Im saying this is because of the reviews I read before our trip. Charles S.

We loved the roominess of the suite for our overnight before our morning flight. After being in hot, humid conditions on the Osa Peninsula, this hotel room was a welcome respite for our last night in CR. The shuttle was convenient. The breakfast was fabulous, as was the staff efficiency and friendliness. The bathtub was a bit worn looking, but we only needed the shower, which was fine. There were two restaurants to choose between for dinner. We are not gamblers, but there is a casino for those who enjoy that.

A very convenient location for the airport. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. We loved the swimming pools and hot tubs. The hotel restaurant was helpful after arriving from a late flight. Breakfast was vast and varied.
