An outstanding small, boutique hotel experience. Spotlessly clean, updated room with modern amenities. Lovely Spanish tiled, glass door shower. The standard King room was a generous size for this area and included a small sitting bench plus writing desk. Comfortable bed with quality linens. Free covered and uncovered parking with EV charging on property. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Quiet. Very well maintained property and grounds with local, Spanish-style architecture. Safe, tourist-friendly, extremely walkable neighborhood. Only two blocks walk from Santa Barbara harbor, restaurants, oceanfront walking path. A few more blocks walk to the beach and State Street shopping in one direction or to Shoreline Park and gorgeous, cliff-high ocean views in the other. Across the street from a lovely park. Easy access to 101 freeway without the noise. Excellent value.

excellent location (short walk to the pier, fish market, restaurants, downtown), free parking, friendly staffs, fast response to our questions prior to the arrival, clean and well kept throughout the property, yummy breakfast (love their coffee, fresh fruit, bakery fr SB Bakery Company), quaint courtyard, spacious updated bathroom, plenty of closet/dresser storage, heavenly comfy bed, sustainable/non single-use toiletries We had a deluxe room for four nights at La Playa Inn to attend a family member's wedding. We chose La Playa Inn due to its excellent reviews online yet comparable rate to its nearby hotels. We love that our room was very quiet and we had good sleep. We stayed in several different hotels in SB and Goleta in the past and La Playa Inn becomes our favorite! We will return in the future : ) Walking distance from La Playa 30 mins walk to Santa Barbara County Courthouse (beautiful city and ocean views fr the top floor, iconic mural room and interesting clock tower) 10 mins walk to the Saturday fisherman's market... some of the freshest uni from the fishermen! 15-20 minus walk to our favorites to eat - Shalhoob's Funk Zone Patio, The Palace Grill, The Black Sheep, Jill's Place

A very cozy and welcoming place. Great staff, friendly and helpful, 24/7. Beautiful building and nice rooms, quite spacious and in excellent condition. Very clean everywhere. Very good location, close to the beach but also quiet in the night. Breakfast included, coffee and water always available.

The property is in an excellent location, within walking distance to many great sights and eating options. We were in town to go to a concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl and it was a 5 minute uber/lyft ride from hotel. The staff is super friendly and area knowledgeable. The grounds are well kept, clean, comfortable, and offer some nice amenities like 24hr coffee and tea, a decent continental breakfast (not Costco!), and many outdoor lounging areas to enjoy the sun and sea air. Our double queen room had a Juliet balcony, very cozy beds, and a good amount of space. The bathroom is clean and well appointed, we had a lovely bathtub which was great after a day of walkable sightseeing.

Absolutely loved my stay at La Playa Inn. From the first moment of meeting the wonderful Rodolfo at the desk, I knew this hotel would be everything I hoped it would be for my birthday trip. After a quick walk to Brophy Bros for lunch overlooking the harbor, Rodolfo called and said we could check in early. Yay! The room was clean, modern, had a safe, and even had a thoughtful birthday card - so sweet. Close to everything, nice safe area, walkable to everything, free parking, no resort fee, lovely outdoor breakfast area, and free breakfast with locally made, delicious fresh pastries. Highly recommend this wonderful hotel and would definitely stay here again. Thank you La Playa Inn!

Simply the best place to stay at in Santa Barbara. If you’re looking for a relaxing place with friendly staff and conveniently located near the main sightseeing and shopping spots, this is it. There’s parking on the property and there’s also plenty of street parking. A beautiful park is half a block away and you could even walk to the pier. I appreciate the sounds of the water fountains, which there are multiple on the grounds, so you don’t hear people from your room. And it’s very quiet at night. The snacks are plentiful and offered throughout the day, fresh baked! Breakfast is generous, the wine hour is great. The room I stayed in was clean, with decor fitting for a house built in the late 1800’s. There’s a lot of charm and attention to detail that I appreciate. This is not a party house or a place you’ll hear kids running up and down the halls at. Peace and quiet is what you’ll get. :o)

A superb place to stay. Staff are all super friendly and helpful and provide excellent service. Our room the Robert & Julia Simpson room was spacious and comfortable with an amazing outdoor space. Loved the blend of the old and new as despite being decorated in an historic style there were USB chargers beside the bed. Good variety of food and the quality was outstanding. Great location near to some good neighbourhood restaurants. Gardens are beautiful and great to return to peace and tranquility after a day out.

Nice bed and breakfast type inn. The house is old but very well-built, so it's pretty sound proof between rooms. The room was very well maintained as well. The breakfast and the option to dine in the room makes a comfortable morning. The in-room spa service was convenient. The room with the skylight windows did make me wake up much earlier than intended because of the brightness. Something to consider if you are interested in that room. Might work for early birds.

This hotel is a gem in Santa Barbara. It’s one of the oldest hotels and they have an amazing garden. We stayed in a cottage and it was charming and cosy with a beautiful fireplace. There is free wine and snacks in the evening and free breakfast in the morning. Service is great, they are super friendly and helpful. We also hang around in the garden after checking out because it is so charming and beautiful! Definitely will come back.

This was the perfect getaway from a hot humid South. Perfect weather the whole time in the low 70’s. The Simpson House is a beautiful place. The grounds are immaculate, the breakfast and afternoon wine tasting was very thoughtful and elegant. The room was so comfortable and beautiful. Every person I came in contact with was warm and friendly. I highly recommend this property.

Everything met or exceeded our expectations. We went for a couple days to relax for our babymoon. Ate breakfast at Malibu Farms. View was great Food was prompt and tasty. Ate dinner at Caruso's and cant say enough about it. Fillet was cooked perfect, had something possibly called double butter truffle fettuccine for first course. Honestly the best fettuccine Ive ever had. If u go there get it for sure. View was incredible. Went to the Sense spa, was lacking hot tub but had everything else. Wife got prenatal massage and I got deep tissue. Experience was excellent. We stayed in a bungalow suite, we both loved it. Was spacious, huge tub and shower, layout was great. Allowed for chrome stream so we could watch the kings game from my phone. The service was what you expect from a plush hotel but often times dont get. Here every single staff member we passed greeted us in a friendly manner the whole time we were there. I felt it was well worth what we paid. It was just what the doctor ordered and we will return.

The service was amazing, they were always so pleasant and helpful it was great. I ordered dine-in breakfast and the food was amazing,. The place is beautiful with all the wonderful flowers and the view of the beach. My husband and I also ate at the restaurant on the beach and the weather and views were to die for, truly a wonderful experience.

Traveling from Asia, our family enjoyed a memorable stay at Rosewood Miramar Beach in Montecito as part of our California trip. The resort’s stunning beachfront location, elegant rooms, and lush grounds offered a perfect retreat. Service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and personalized. The beach access, pool, and dining options made our stay truly special. Highly recommended for a luxurious and relaxing family getaway!

I was on a pre-Christmas road trip with my dogs and decided to book for Christmas Eve on way back to L.A. from Carmel and best decision. From the valets, to reception, to the porters everyone was so welcoming and helpful. We were upgraded through Amex to a single story one bedroom bungalow and it was just lovely. The dogs were welcomed with toys and beds and bandanas and water dishes. We loved having the beach right there and enjoyed multiple walks/runs on our short visit. Lunch at the beach bar was great and the weather was gorgeous., as was the Prix Fixe dinner at AMA that evening. The delivery of milk and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer was such a cute touch, as were the Xmas chocolates and wreaths on all the doors. The decorations across the entire property and the carolers and snowmen making on Christmas Day were just really charming. Not to mention the bed was the most comfortable of any stay I’ve had and I can’t wait to come back to stay again. Thank you for a really special Xmas Eve for both myself and my pups!

Room was very clean, workers were very hospitable, breakfast was excellent (except the pancakes were cold). One thing that was not good, it showed the hotel had a pool, but it was a 12 x 10 jacuzzi, no pool.

Clean, comfortable and updates. Rooms were quiet for everyone in our group. So important. There are coffee places to walk to and a nice family restaurant next door. Breakfast was tasty and enough for all tastes. They do it well and it is not just a few pastries and an urn of coffee. Staff was on it. Lightbulb out? 30 min from phone call. Battery dead? 20 min. Wait, maybe they think batteries are more important. Ha The place was great and fantastic value for the money.

The room was very clean, down to the extra blanket in the closet. Everything smelled like it just came out of the dryer. Despite being freeway close, the room in the back was very quiet. The breakfast was the probably the best I have had at a chain hotel buffet. The eggs were fluffy and not overly salted. There was fruit, cereal, yogurt, toppings, pancakes, and multiple juices and milk. The buffet presentation was top notch, and it was obvious that the folks who put it together took pride in their work. Coffee is important to me, and the coffee was dark and as good as what I make at home. If you are in SB, this place works.

Very Clean and affordable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the free complimentary breakfast. The location is very convenient with shopping and dinning very close. I was here on a business trip. We were very close to the beach. So we took advantage of the beach while we were here. If you are in the neighborhood I would recommend you stay here and enjoy Santa Barbara.

Nice comfortable room. It was clean, spacious and quiet. Great breakfast. They had different offerings each day. Nice get away spot. We ventured north to Solvang for the day. This hotel was close to downtown Santa Barbara. Lots of restaurants Nearby. I wish they would not charge for parking

This hotel was so nice and quaint, i love that it gave the old school vibe of a roadside motel, but much nicer and had all the hotel amenities. There is an onsite restaurant and bar (which we only ate at one of the days during our stay) but the breakfast was good and having the bar there made it nice to take drinks over to the pool to relax and enjoy. It was our first time in the Santa Barbara area, so a staff member recommended an upscale sushi place in downtown called Oku. It was amazing! The staff was always friendly and ready to help, rooms are clean, bed was very comfortable. The location makes it easy to go into downtown SB since its only about 15 mins away or less. They offer complementary coffee in the lobby in the morning, you can purchase snacks and drinks there as well. I would defiantly recommend staying here you get a good value for your money and i would love to come back!

This has been one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at recently. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was incredibly clean! They also cleaned daily, unlike many other hotels now. The restaurant was not only convenient, but had amazing service and delicious food (at least for the meal we had there). The room was really small, much smaller than I’m used to, but again, it was spotless and had everything we could’ve needed. The only true con was that the mini fridge didn’t work, which we didn’t realize until our last day, as we went to throw out the leftovers that had been in there for two days.

Refurbished and upgraded 80's Holiday Inn filled with character and great amenities. Wonderfully comfortable rooms. Kuerig coffee makers. Malin-Goetz products. #1 best pet hotel. Pets stay free. Their restaurant Caya is superb. Had the best scallops with a risotto. Breakfast, lunch equally great. Attentive staff. 9 miles from Santa Barbara makes this hotel a great stay choice.

We love staying at The Leta. It’s a great, comfortable and clean place to stay when we visit our daughter at UCSB. The staff is always friendly. The rooms are very cozy and comfortable, and we love the restaurant too. It’s our home away from home every time we’re in Santa Barbara!

The Marriott Residence Inn in Goleta has been our families home away from home when they visit. My parents live on the east coast and come to visit several times a year and always stay here. It is truly a vacation for them. From the delicious breakfast each morning, to the comfortable room and amazing amenities in my opinion it's the best place to stay in Santa Barbara. My dad loves the pool, jacuzzi and workout room. My mom loves sitting by the fire pits. I'm always amazed by how incredible the staff is. They are so helpful, friendly and attentive to everyone's needs. I can't thank them enough! I would highly recommend staying here. You won't be disappointed.

I stayed at the Residence Inn Santa Barbara Goleta while on a college trip with my daughter, June 2024. This is a beautiful hotel that I would highly recommend. The location is directly across the street from the Santa Barbara Airport. Our room was a studio suite with a kitchen and living room area. The room was quiet and comfortable. The gentleman that checked us in was very professional and even offered advice about the safety of the college campuses we had visited. There is a free breakfast which we slept through and a green courtyard area in the middle of the hotel. Also, I noticed a gym, laundry room and a business center on site. Overall, this is the most luxurious Residence Inn that I have ever seen. Highly recommend if you can find an affordable rate although all of the hotels in the area are priced in a similar range and this one is very nice. Parking was safe and secure, there is a fee, and there is really nothing within walking distance.

We booked a 2 bedroom suite for the 3 of us and were happy with our choice. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and spacious. The living area was comfortable except for the very tired couch. The bright overhead lighting could be easily fixed with a dimmer switch. We were at the back of the building which was easily accessible. Parking was excellent and front desk staff very welcoming. Every destination was an easy shot from this location. Coffee was terrible, but overall this was an excellent stay.

Not much around the hotel and nothing within walking distance for dining or shopping. No restaurant in the hotel. The breakfast was OK - I loved the blueberry muffins and the oatmeal was good. I never had the eggs or meat, but my friend did. The croissant egg and ham sandwich was awful. We had to wait almost 2 hrs after check-in to get into our room. There was no Do Not Disturb sign to put on the door but I did respond that we didn’t want housekeeping to come to our room. We were very surprised the first morning when we returned to our room after breakfast and a housekeeper was in our room where I had left my purse and everything out in the open. Nothing was taken but we felt violated. The red light blinked on the phones for over 24 hours even after we called about it 3 times. It was supposed to be a message to inform us that they were going to clean the carpet. The rooms were clean and the kitchen supplies were good. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite with kitchen for $499 a night for 3 days. Glad that Expedia paid for the room because of the cancellation of the timeshare unit we had reservations for, because I would never have paid $500 a night for this hotel. The pool area and outdoor games were nice but the location and lack of a restaurant made this a 3 star hotel for me. Having to wait until almost 6pm to check in was also not appreciated.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our king room was conveniently located for us, as we had a lot of things to unload. We were in the back of the hotel in the corner, the first door by the entrance. The room was clean and the bathroom was really nice. The couch was comfy. We enjoyed using the hot tub at night and sitting by the fire pit. There were people on the putting green and playing the giant chess board, and there was also a ping pong table. The breakfast was really good, especially the mini quiche. We needed ice for our cooler, and the ice machine was all the way in the lobby and there were no ice buckets in the room. We were only there overnight so the refrigerator wasn't able to make enough ice to fill the cooler. Also I agree with 100% of the other reviews - why on earth charge $10 for parking? Totally unnecessary, just a way to make $$$. This hotel is convenient to the airport, but is not in a scenic area. We usually like to take a morning walk, but I would not recommend it in this area. There are definitely other hotels you could choose if you want more of a view in an area safe to walk.

We returned to Canary Hotel for the first time in 4 years. We were very impressed by the renovation which was a nice upgrade yet kept the original charm. The lobby was beautiful and we really enjoyed the open concept with the restaurant - made it very welcoming. The room was phenomenal - great bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower, lovely views, clean, spacious. Casting to the TV a plus too. The staff all go above and beyond, always in a cheerful mood, smiling and greeting you at every turn. Chloe checked us in and was nothing short of charming and friendly. She also noticed when we would return and ensured she constantly welcomed us back. Hermelinda, Acalea, and Daniella in housekeeping were friendly and treated us with care. Sal and Forest both assisted us with our In Room Dinning order and ensured we were well cared for. Lastly, the Manager at the Front Desk Edwin was exceptional and managed the desk and areas accordingly. He was engaging, fun yet always keeping it professional. Canary is a very special place and at the heart of it you will find a great group of people that take pride in what they do and do it well. We look forward to our next visit soon.

Location within walking distance to State Street. Entrance and valet service very nice. Lobby is large and comfortable with a selfie picture back drop for fun. Adjoining open, comfy cocktail and bar area with great service from managers, bartenders, and a delightful, interesting wait staffer named Melody! Give that girl a raise! Dog friendly for sure! Have free wine service from 5 to 6 pm! The restaurant "Finch and Fork" was yummy, especially eggs benedict and avacado toast. Service was very prompt and professional. The room was perfect for our needs, beautiful 4 poster beds, and extremely comfortable linens. We had a French door that we could open to shallow iron balcony to see the street "hub bub" and get fresh air. We will be returning.

We had the chance to stay a the Kimpton Canary for only one night and had a terrific experience. You arrive into a private valet driveway/courtyard that is beautifully landscaped. The lobby/bar/restaurant have a nice vibe and are also beautiful. We enjoyed the complimentary wine happy hour and then had dinner at the restaurant. It wasn’t crowded on our Friday night so there was not much buzz but the food and service were very good. We stopped at the rooftop pool which had stellar views but it was too windy for us to stay. We stayed in a suite where the bedroom was separated by French doors from the living room. The bed and linens were super comfortable. It is a dog friendly hotel and we heard a few of the pups barking from hallway noise while in our room getting ready for dinner. The complimentary coffee bar in the morning didn’t have decaf that we like and they were happy to bring some up for us. I would highly recommend this property.

Twenty years ago, we confessed our love for each other in a similar style hotel in Antigua Guatemala. The Spanish tile, rod iron weather vanes and balconies, the blazing sunsets from the roof deck pool, the four poster wicked canopy bed and the central plaza with fountains trickling next to the magenta buganvillas pouring over stucco walls made our twenty year anniversary all the more reminiscent and magical! The Frette linen and the feathery pillows are as akin to heavenly bliss as I can imagine living on earth! Get the room with a bathtub and a shower as each are experiences to sooth the senses. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash are fragrant of geranium, Liliac and sandalwood. The pool on the roof will whisper to you even when you are at the beach that there is a calm sanctuary waiting for your to return. The Concierge and valet parking attendants are helpful for planning adventures with their bikes and helmets. We had dinner with our feet in the sand looking at the sunset on the water thanks to a tip from a valet. The leaderbetter beach has this kind of restaurant right on the beach front. The personnel are kind, down to earth and generous. We will return for our next anniversary celebration!

Nice, clean, comfortable hotel located close to the University. Rooms are normal sized and are clean and functional. Wifi and breakfast were included in my room rate but parking was extra. Hotel has a nice outdoor (courtyard) are with putting golf, fireplaces and convenient seating. There are plenty of restaurants within a short driving distance.

We stayed here March 29-30 with our travel baseball team and families (a group of about 35-40) and had a fantastic time! The property looks brand new - everything is beautifully furnished and feels so comfortable and warm. The common areas in this property are what sets it apart from others - big comfortable couches, a big screen TV, interesting seating nooks, work desks, fire pits, a restaurant and more. It gave our large group so many areas to relax, mingle and hang out. The rooms were perfectly appointed - beds and pillows comfortable and bathrooms and showers were clean, and we loved our room in the ground floor with a sliding glass door to the putting green!! The staff were all excellent and very accommodating and welcoming to everyone in our party. I also loved the easy parking and digital room key which made getting in and out a breeze. It was also walking distance to Target, Finney’s Crafthouse, Rusty’s Pizza and much more. Overall, I have to say this was one of the very best hotels we have stayed at in Santa Barbara for our team needs and convenience. I highly recommend it and don’t have a single complaint!

We had a pleasant one night stay The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast folks offered a custom box filled with fruit, muffin, yogurt, bar, and a hot sandwich. They allowed you to pick what you wanted and also offered coffee, tea, OJ and water. CON: The Internet connection for TV services was poor. We tried to watch a Showtime movie and found it very frustrating and finally gave up. WiFi was no issue.

Great service. Nice property. Clean and my kids kept saying “this is fancy!!” It’s a classic corporate hotel with lots of amenities and designed professionally at scale. Nice lobby and TV with Netflix app. Beds were comfortable. Space in the corner for a pack n play. Cool courtyard with mini golf and big fire tables. Nice restaurant area wasn’t an afterthought. Even saw actual repairs happening in one room. Deep cleaning of AC filters in another room 👍 Only con was no free breakfast, which for some I expected . That and the bottom fitted sheets kept falling off the bed. Didn’t affect comfort just unprofessional.

It was very nice and secure! They had free bike rentals which is highly recommended when in Santa Barbara! They also have a great pool and jacuzzi! The hotel also had little games around the hotel which is fun for the kids like a big chess board, shuffle board, connect 4, etc. Would definitely go back.

My stay at the Santa Barbara Hilton Resort was average—not bad, but certainly not luxurious. We enjoyed our one-night stay to celebrate my wife’s birthday. As it was my first time in Santa Barbara, I appreciated the hotel’s prime location near the beach, which added to the experience. The food was enjoyable, and as vegans, we were pleased to find a few options available, though more variety would have been appreciated. The room was spacious, and as a Diamond member, I was upgraded to a suite with a balcony and a chair, which was a nice touch. However, I was disappointed that the hotel did not offer complimentary parking. ($42 per night), even as a gesture for my wife’s birthday, which would have made the stay feel more special. On the positive side, the property was clean, spacious, and offered bike rentals, though unfortunately, they weren’t available at night. Overall, while the stay had its highlights, there’s room for improvement to make it feel more memorable and tailored to guests’ special occasions.

We stayed at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront for our wedding and it was absolutely amazing! The location couldn’t be better—right off the highway, across the street from the beach, and walking distance to everything we needed. The venue itself is beautiful, with comfortable beds, a great resort pool and hot tub, and complimentary beach chairs and bike rentals that made our stay even better. Everything felt convenient and relaxing, and it was the perfect place to celebrate such a special moment. Highly recommend!

This hotel used to be Fess Parker Hotel, which was converted into Hilton. The location is fantastic. The room we were assigned was in a section of single rooms with a patio. I like that section because it feels private. The room was spacious and fully renovated. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly. The grounds were well maintained. Their in-house restaurant served an amazing food. Everything that we ordered was delicious. I would definitely come back for another visit.

Perfect location close to the beach. Nice, clean comfortable rooms. Beautiful pool area with tasty cocktails. Fun activities for kids (corn hole, Bikes, s’mores). Pleasant and helpful staff.

The check in was quick and friendly. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was that the jacuzzi tub was not working and I specifically rented that room because of the tub. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

Enjoyed our stay at Tweedledum. The proprietor, Simon, was very responsive. He brought us robes, soap and bubble bath for the jacuzzi tub and fixed our WiFi. Simon was also knowledgeable about local sites and tours. This B&B is well priced. We would definitely stay here again.

Quaint B&B in a quiet residential neighborhood just minutes from the central shopping and restaurant areas. The staff are simply amazing: friendly and professional. Parking is convenience and safe. WiFi is good. The cottage was comfortable and spacious. Good beds. And the breakfast was consistently good, with fast and friendly service. We very much felt like guests and will definitely stay again the next time we visit SB.

The Inn is in a lovely Victorian with a patio and garden. Our room, the Caterpillar Room, was spacious and relaxing, with a very comfy bed, well-placed TV, window seats and a small balcony facing the garden and mountains. The breakfast offerings, including french toast and warm croissants were delicious. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, and if we needed anything the text communication worked well. The central location of the Inn was great too, just a block from State Street, yet quiet and peaceful.

Delightful and welcoming innkeeper in this historic Inn, complete with private bathrooms including modern fixtures. Super responsive to requests and special needs. Alice in Wonderland theme throughout main house showcases elegant memorabilia, fireplace, bay windows, and period furnishings/artwork. Fabulous garden replete with active fountain, mature rose bushes, fabulous pelargonium, fuchsia, lantana and various succulents Terrific indoor outdoor flow although it was not sunny during my late "May Grey" visit. Well endowed coffee/tea self service set up in secondary building on site, with excellent high end breakfast served at client's convenience. Great choices of main course, and fabulous granola with fresh fruit starter. Safe parking on site. Easily accessible to downtown, just a mile to the Saturday farmer's market and fantastic restaurants/breweries/music venues/festivals downtown. Super fast wifi and solid viewing on TV including ESPN for us sports fans.

I stumbled upon Bath Street in while searching for a last minute hotel in the Santa Barbara area. The location seemed great, within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and bars of State Street while at the same time being on a quiet street somewhat off the beaten path. I decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. I was able to self check in with ease (I arrived in the evening, after the staff were gone for the day) and found my way upstairs to the “Balcony Room”. I really liked the room. It had a small sitting area, a queen bed and a very small bathroom. The room is not recommended for anyone six feet or taller given the low ceiling in parts of the room, but this wasn’t an issue for me. The room also had a nice balcony which was a great place to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The room, and the entire property, had a lot of character. It was also very reasonable cost wise, especially for Santa Barbara. Before departing I was nourished by a decadent breakfast which was delicious. I didn’t interact much with the staff, but everyone I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely plan to stay here again the future. Highly recommended.

Our stay at the Bath Street Inn was very relaxing and enjoyable. The breakfast each morning was delicious and balanced. The ladies who worked there were pleasant and attentive. The grounds were beautifully kept. We enjoyed drinking our coffee in the front with hydrangeas and lush trees. Parking spots are behind on the premises. It made it super easy to unload and load vehicle. Main house is clean and organized with lots of books and games for our entertainment. Filtered water available daily. Cookies out at 4:00 pm and wine at 5:30. We enjoyed all their offerings. We were in Santa Barbara for a wedding but there were lots of other events that weekend. We stayed in the Wisteria room which was very small; so that would be our only complaint . 30 years ago we stayed in the Rose room which was more spacious and comfortable. All in all we hand a fantastic stay and highly recommend The Bath Street Inn Bed and Breakfast.

This was our second visit to the Bath Street Inn. We were in Santa Barbara for a weekend wedding celebration and had enjoyed the Bath Street Inn so much our first time that we wanted to come back. It did not disappoint. We stayed in the Partridge room, which was spacious, light and airy. The bathroom has a claw-footed bathtub/shower which worked fine though some might find it tricky to step into. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts are outstanding! One morning the breakfast was served indoors due to heavy drizzle outside, but the other mornings it was served on the delightful patio in the rear of the building. Breakfast was sufficient to hold us until dinner, and on the days we were there included a house made granola served with fresh fruit and granola, an egg dish (different each day), bread/pastry/croissant, orange juice and coffee or tea. Each room is unique and is furnished to complement the period in which the building was build. There is no elevator, but there is at least one guest room on the ground floor. I would definitely stay there again if looking for lodging in Santa Barbara.

Our third time staying at the inn and second in the Balcony Room. As with previous experiences, our stay was wonderful. The inn, inside and out, is very peaceful and relaxing. The Balcony Room has a comfortable bed and two chairs, plus a small balcony with two chairs and a small table. It was nice seating on the balcony and enjoying the sound of birds and overall quiet. The afternoon cookies and beverages, wine (5:30-6:30) and breakfast were great. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area and recommend the inn.

Absolutely amazing! A 10/10! We had the privilege of peeking into all the rooms on the 1st floor and let me put all the rest of the comments to peace-they all looked absolutely inviting and comfortable! The host is warm and welcoming, she bakes proper American cookies for her guests. Breakfast was quality. Everything was spotless and smelled of fresh linen. Beach is a 40min walk past clean and safe streets. Parking organized next to the inn. There’s just no downside to this place! An absolute 10/10.

Lovely tasty breakfast and great to sit out on balcony with hummingbirds next to us... beautiful peaceful location, We liked our room, although it was quite small. Jacuzzi bath was nice. Managed to get last parking spot in car park fortunately. Friendly staff and short walk to beach..

Room was so cute! Stayed on jacuzzi suite with balcony. So lovely. Great location, we walked everywhere we went. Good breakfast. Nice staff. A few ants in bathroom but that was the only negative. Would stay again!

We stayed in the Jacuzzi tub suite which was very nice & roomy. The balcony was nice. Great location. Quiet neighborhood in residential area. Walking distance to State Street, Funk Zone, beach & 2 piers. The staff were very kind staff & helpful. The call to order breakfast was good with the option of in room service. The Inn reminded us of our stays in Italy. We would definitely stay here again & highly recommend The Eagle Inn. Thank you!

We booked the San Clemente casita for our babymoon & it was so lovely! The room was updated with modern amenities, while still maintaining the original era charm of the property. The staff even decorated our suite with the cutest swan figures made from towels & rose petals. The king bed was very comfy & we LOVED the fireplace--every evening & morning we turned that on & enjoyed coffee in bed before heading over to the restaurant for breakfast. It did warm up the room just that perfect amount. The jacuzzi tub was awesome, although one of the jets was not functioning properly. The waterfall showerhead in the bathroom was amazing for washing hair & just taking a relaxing shower. We stayed for 3 nights & went to the restaurant on property every morning for the complimentary breakfast. The menu was slightly different each morning & it was such a nice way to start the day. The coffee/espresso machine in the lobby was a very nice perk. Lots of yummy options there. The front desk staff were very accommodating & gave us some great local recommendations for spots to try out. Property is a short walk to the beach--we walked along the pathway to Stearns Wharf one morning & it was so peaceful. Close proximity to State Street & the Funk zone where there are tons of restaurants, shops & drinkeries. We'll have to go back when I'm not pregnant so that I can partake in all the great wine in the region!

This must be the best place to stay in Santa Barbara! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Eagle Inn and hope to return someday soon. It is a charming vintage building with all the modern amenities. Located on a quiet neighborhood street, only two blocks from the harbor. We were able to walk to fabulous restaurants, nice attractions, the harbor and the beach in just a few minutes. The area felt very safe too, even after dark. You could easily enjoy the best of Santa Barbara without a car from this location. The room was sparkling clean, with daily housekeeping. The bed was comfy with really nice sheets too. Our room had a fireplace and a small balcony, both of which we enjoyed daily. The air conditioning worked great, the WiFi was fast and the room was quiet. The included breakfast was delicious! They have four daily options, cooked to order and served in a lovely dining room or on the outdoor patio. Every member of the staff was welcoming, friendly and so helpful. This was a top notch experience all around!

What a wonderful family owned boutique hotel. Super personable, enthusistic desk help ( Carlin 🩷) comfy spaces with just enough room to be very comfortable just 2blocks from the wonderful beach, and that’s just the starting point. They provide all free of charge, nice big clean beach towels, super cool and well cared for cruiser bikes, helmets if you desire and backpack-able lawn chairs to relax in style at the beach. They are eco conscious but not overbearing, provide free snacks including fresh fruit and granola bars. Our unit was well equipped with coffee, sweet creams, all the utensils and appliances you’d need if you decided to dine in even though there are numerous fun and inexpensive dining opportunities close by. We felt appreciated and supported in our endeavors to mix in some beach time while attending our family friends wedding party agenda and truly enjoyed our respit from all the fun activities. We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Harbor House Inn and can’t wait to come back! The location is fantastic—just a block from Shoreline Drive and an easy walk to the Harbor and beach. The inn itself is spotless and beautifully kept. Our room was decorated with such care, and the outdoor spaces were full of gorgeous flowers and succulents that were tended to daily—it really made the property feel warm and inviting. Having free parking right by our door was so convenient, and we loved the little private patio off our bedroom for morning coffee. We even had a glass of wine at the candle-lit table out front. The kitchenette was a huge bonus. It was stocked with everything we needed—wine glasses, dishes, even coffee supplies—making it easy to keep a few items cold and prepare simple meals. We also appreciated that they provided beach gear like chairs, towels, and umbrellas, which saved us from having to pack our own. What really stood out was the hospitality. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made our stay feel even more personal. We didn’t get a chance to use the complimentary bikes this time, but it’s on our list for our next visit! All in all, Harbor House Inn felt like the perfect home base in Santa Barbara. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, welcoming, and perfectly located stay.

What a lovely surprise this place is. We stayed in one of the King Suites - 116C and it was a home away from home, full kitchen, comfy sitting area with fireplace and supportive King bed. The hotel has a ton of charm, our room had many original vintage features but also climate control (heat and air), blackout shades/curtains, and a walk-in closet. The Inn is locally owned and operated and it makes all the difference - the room was exceptionally clean, windows sparkled, ceiling fans virtually dust free and lovely white linens and towels. The outdoor seating areas were comfortable and clean (they even put the cushions away every night so they are fresh and tidy each day!) and a great place to catch some sun as the beach was a bit cool and breezy during our trip. There are fruit/snacks available in the office all day and they have everything you might need for a beach vacation available for guest use at no charge - towels, chairs, bikes, boogies boards, and sand toys. This is a very walkable location for the beach and State Street attractions. Tons of great restaurants and bars are a short walking distance away. There's a fantastic yoga studio near lower State Street that I was able to walk to every day, as well. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay. :)

Stayed here for 3 nights in a deluxe king studio—very spacious with two chairs/ ottomans, a fully socked kitchen and well appointed bathroom. Easy parking. They provided excellent bathroom amenities and the kitchen is stocked with butter, creamer , coffee, ice, tea, and things for cooking and getting started. They also have snacks and coffee in the welcome building and you can refill water bottles there. Very friendly and helpful staff and information for sight seeing. They have free bikes for use and chairs/ towels for the beach :) Would definitely recommend—very relaxing, quiet, and less than two blocks to the beach and beach walk and a few blocks to State Street.

Very helpful and welcoming team on arrival and departure. Room was clean and well equipped with usual kitchen appliances allowing you to cook all your meals if you wanted too. We just made tea and coffee which was provided. Bikes are available but we preferred to walk. Wifi was excellent and location was very close to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the main street with all the shopping and restaurants. We had breakfast in Jeannines and a couple of evening meals at Flor de Maiz ( both on the sea front and less than a 5 minute walk) which I can both heartily recommend. The area seemed very safe with a good number of tourists even in December

The sink in the bedroom was inconvenient, but the jacuzzi in the bathroom was great.

We had the pleasure of staying in a beautiful, quaint Queen Bungalow for 1 night. Very convenient to park off the street, meant we could leave sporting equipment in the car and it was safe. Great location, easy to meander down the street and explore. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The gardens were absolutely delightful and the whole property felt tranquil and inviting. Bungalow was very clean with a cute verandah. It was on the small side, but for 1 night was ideal. If you are staying for longer, perhaps require a room / bungalow with a little more space for luggage. We had pastries, fruit and tea/coffee for breakfast in the sunroom off reception which was perfect for us. Restaurant was not open. I would recommend this gorgeous property to people visiting Santa Barbara, it was postcard pretty.

We booked Upham at the last minute for our weekend getaway, not knowing what to expect. But to my surprise, the hotel was an oasis in the beautiful city of Santa Barbara. The hotel had individual cottages with rooms all newly renovated, clean, quiet, and cozy, and yet nestled in the middle of all the action. We were able to conveniently walk to all shops & restaurants in downtown. Most importantly, the Hotel Manager Michael and the Front Desk Leticia greeted us with warm smiles, and were very helpful and friendly, and assisted with our every needs. All in all, a hidden gem, 5-Star Stay. We'll be back soon! JW Palos Verdes

Lovely, elegant and unique historic property conveniently located in downtown Santa Barbara. Grounds are meticulously maintained, staff is helpful and courteous. Beds are very comfortable and hotel is quiet. Great place for a romantic getaway. Restaurant was closed for an ownership transition, but continental breakfast, afternoon manager's wine reception and evening cookies made the stay very pleasant. Tip: March is a great time to visit Santa Barbara. Prices are reasonable and not crowded!

Loved everything about this place... the friendly staff, the fresh fruit, the coffee was very good, my room was like a tiny cabin (absolutely loved it) quiet and cozy, the gardens were beautiful, other guests were friendly, parking was convenient, and the woman at the desk that helped solve my battery issue! Stayed two nights this is my go to spot anytime in Santa Barbara.

Wonderful experience with a beautiful room and bathtub. The robes and our own private jacuzzi made us feel super secluded and fancy. They brought us breakfast and coffee and fresh juice and fruits and it was lovely and delicious. Beautiful grounds and very quiet. Perfect romantic getaway experience.

I loved this place! Wish I could’ve stayed for a week. Breakfast was served to my private patio, and it was delicious. The Jacuzzi hot tub on the patio was such a treat. I will definitely come back when I’m in Santa Barbara.

Dominique is very welcoming and helpful. We had everything needed in our room, including electric kettle, and jacuzzi was clean and relaxing after the day of walking. The location is very quiet, and it is truly a cozy secret garden. Breakfast was delicious with homemade baked pears, veggie quiche, and a French touch. We will return to this place when we visit again.

Amazing bed and breakfast and our French hostess! We loved the freshly made breakfast every morning, eggs to order with the quiche and the baked goodies. We had the humming bird room with the jacuzzi, which was perfect after a lot of walking on state st, a few blocks away, but about 40 mins walking from the heart of the action.

A very interesting and beautiful hotel, cozy and clean rooms, a magnificent courtyard with a swimming pool, jacuzzi and fish in a small pond. Excellent service and friendly staff.

The location is great, and the hotel is with a lot of history -very interesting and cute. The breakfast was not big, but sufficient, free coffee/ tea to any hour. I liked the pool/jacuzzi area although we couldn't use it in December, but it was sunny weather, and we could enjoy our coffee at pool.

Our room/apartment had all we needed and more than we hoped for (a stove, both fridge and freezer, a bathtub/jacuzzi, etc). Very nice and creative buildings and surroundings very close to the beach.

overall 5 star rating for the value. staff was friendly and although the building was dated, it did provide a kithenette, nice pool / hottub, and unlimited supply of sheets and towels. area itself was convenient but seemed "questionable" even though surrounding property prices are sky high.

The owner(s) are wonderful. They attempt to be as accommodating as possible and they are very helpful. The staff that I encountered are very pleasant and helpful as well. The room was very clean. The area safe. It was quiet for a good night’s sleep. The motel is in an ideal and convenient location for many things - anything you might need. As well as to many Santa Barbara attractions, restaurants, etc. Free parking and wi-fi. And an excellent and very large TV. A perfect place for what I needed. I thank the owner for being so kind and helpful and I will be back to stay again. Thank you.

This was a pleasant and unexpected gem. We didn't expect much since it was a motel and we needed to quickly reserve a place for a weekend in Santa Barbara. It was one of the more reasonably priced options, but it turned out to be much more than we expected. The service was excellent. We arrived late after a long drive, and my daughter needed to use the bathroom. Since there wasn't one in the lobby, the service lady quickly gave her a key card to go to our room while I took care of check-in. The rooms were clean, with super comfy beds and very white sheets. The bathroom was spacious, and the shower had warm water immediately. The furniture and walls/doors are a bit run-down, but as long as the beds/bathroom is clean, I can deal with it. The location is perfect—close to everything. There's a Target and a mall nearby, as well as several convenience stores (7-Eleven) and fast food restaurants (McDonald's, Wingstop, Chipotle, Starbucks, etc.), and grocery stores (Whole Foods, Trader Joe's). If you stay on the first floor, you might hear people talking as they walk by, and the door has gaps, so it can get pretty cold at night. Despite these minor issues, we would definitely stay here again, as it was reasonably priced. I noticed in the reviews that some people paid much more than we did, so if the price were higher, I might consider other options. For what we paid, it was a good stay.

This was exactly what we needed for our visit. Don’t expect 5star and you won’t get your feelings hurt. It’s in a popular, safe area, where most motels look like this, so it’s not like it’s the outlier. As far as the room goes- it was clean, beds were comfy, no funky smells, and I always appreciate no carpet in a motel. I just gave everything a quick Lysol spray and Clorox wipe and I felt good to go. After a drive up from LA gave us a chance to stretch before hitting downtown. Everything is just a few minutes away. This was the best location. LOVE the fridge and microwave. Great for bringing leftovers back! The very few cons are: It was loud at night because of the street, but neighboring room sounds are non existent which I appreciate. I’m a light sleeper, but the kids didn’t even notice. 2) I wish it had a top swing latch, just for feeling extra safe. 3) Parkings a little tight, but enough. 4) Water pressure was a little low in the morning, but excellent every other time! - don’t forget to bring your own shampoo and conditioner! Overall, this was perfect for our needs. I just didn’t feel comfortable spending hundreds for resort style hotels just to sleep. It was priced right and suited us perfectly. We were up early the next day to head out to the university, so we really didn’t need much from it. Of course I was nervous, but so glad I bit the bullet. Saved so much and was so close to everything. I will definitely consider staying again in the future.

Located within two blocks of several good restaurants representing varied cuisines, this attractively renovated motel was a find. The owners, who live in an apartment behind the reception area, couldn't have been nicer. Our room was pleasingly decorated, the bed was comfortable, and the linens were good quality. Included in the price was a continental breakfast that tided us over until lunch. Our only quibble was with the bathtub, which was a td slick and could have used a grab bar.
