We loved everything about about our stay here at A Carballeira do Tambre. We love immersing ourselves and getting a feel for life with the local community. This is not in a big touristy area. It is perfect for relaxation and rest and peace. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay was more than wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable and we loved the back patio tub. Every morning breakfast was delicious and so welcoming. We often took a walk on the local roads in the afternoons. Dinner at the restaurant in the evenings was fresh and delicious and the portions were very large. We spent some time hanging out on the lobby area which was very nice and enjoyed listening to and watching the little water fountain. Mostly the hosts were so helpful land friendly. We really really enjoyed our stay here and were sorry to not have stayed a day or two longer! This is the perfect place to unwind.

The staff and hotel are excellent. You feel at home. The Food is also great. The bathtub on the terrace makes the stay perfect.

The hotel itself, very charming, great decoration, furnished with a lot of taste, the main living room has a huge stone fireplace that they lit every night which gives the perfect ambience. Super comfy beds, sheets and pillows and great views to the river that launches all along the hotel's property. They also have a great spa with pool, jacuzzi and body health treatments of all sorts. Overall, t's lovely and all the staff adorable they make you feel at home from minute one, it's the kind of place you would be very happy to return over and over again. Also close to Santiago, only 10 min by taxi, which makes it a great location,and last but not least dog Friendly, so, for us it has it all, we will return for sure!

Boutique hotel located in a exquisitely pretty locale a short distance from the city center. I loved the quietness and tranquility of the surroundings and the criss-crossing of streams and aqueducts on the premises (including under the restaurant. Check-in by front staff was warm, friendly and efficient. Assigned room overlooked a brook that I could not see but provided soothing sounds of running water. Thick stone walls provided character and good insulation (sound and weather). Room was adorned with period furniture that provided a good visual but not so much comfort - except for the bed which was very comfortable - though the sheets could be of higher grain. Bathroom had a good sized sink and a tub shower that provided decent water pressure. The room could do with a few more electrical outlets but I found enough to support my many peripherals; wifi signal was robust. Ate dinner at the Filigrana that served great Galician cuisine and also at the Q Cafe & Bar that provided simple but delicious offerings of sandwiches and burgers. I liked the atmosphere in the cafe as well - there were many patrons enjoying their drinks and finger foods. I loved the hotel so much that I elected to work from my room as opposed to going to the office on one of my working days in the city. I did not partook in any of the many services from the spa but something I would entertain if I return. Definitely a high pass from me here.

Myself and my sister stayed here after our Camino. It was the ideal way to end our trip. The communication with the reservations team (dinner and spa) was perfect. The check-in was quick and easy and they accommodated an early check-in at 2pm and late chek-out which was very helpful. The spa was relaxing and rejuvenating after our long days of walking. The treatments were very high quality and professional. The meal in the restaurant was superb and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable. The hotel itself is wonderful - a unique space with comfortable communal spaces and rooms. Ten minute taxi ride from Santiago. Highly recommended!

We spent two luxurious days at this fabulous boutique hotel on the outskirts of Santiago. The room was lovely, the bed super comfy and the staff was very attentive and friendly. We had amazing meals at the hotel restaurant - breakfast, lunch, and dinner! We met the proprietresses of the hotel - she’s delightful and made us feel at home. We really enjoyed walking along the creek pathway and park area adjacent to this property, an unexpected treat!

This is a beautiful property with lovely rooms, stunning gardens and friendly and courteous staff. It is in a quiet location and the outside area are well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of different fruits, pastries, cold meats and bread. The tapas in the bar on the first evening were delicious.

Lovely little gem. Was able to get an attic room. Very romantic, sloped ceilings, mirrored wall, Jacuzzi tub. Beautiful views from window. Full array of amenities - shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and toothbrushes. Hotel staff amazing. Super helpful and accommodating.Wonderful breakfast.

The room was spacious and tastefully furnished. The room was warm, and has a temperature regulator. The duvet was light but warm, and there were spare blankets. There was provision of basic toiletries and the room was cleaned daily. My room had a balcony and 2 sets of doors shutting out the light and outside noise. The breakfast was varied and filling- and there is long hours for breakfast up to 10.30 and 11.00 on the Sunday. ( though I missed baked beans, which are not a staple in Spain breakfast.) There was spa facilities which was enjoyable. It is 400m from the Cathedral. It is in a well lit busy area, with lots of bars and cafes and little shops/boutiques, with a pleasant ambience. Staff were exceptionally lovely and helpful. They provided me a map at check in, and marked the important landmarks and places I would want to see or know about. I was allowed to extend my check out to 2pm at no extra cost. The Wi-Fi was strong.

On arrival our transferred luggage was delivered to the room. Julio was very friendly and advised on many things. Room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. I really welcomed the bath facility after completing the Camino walk. In particular breakfast was fresh, delicious and offered an excellent choice of cooked/ uncooked

The hotel was quite nice and in a very convenient area. The staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast could definitely be improved! My only disappointment with my experience was the scaffolding erected outside the hotel that totally compromised the view from our room. Because of that,we also unable to enjoy our balcony and it felt a bit unsafe. If the scaffolding wasn't there I would have been much more satisfied with my experience.

The hotel is ideally placed and is very good value for money. The staff are very friendly and efficient and overnight parking is available in the secure underground garage. many of the staff speak English and nothing is too much trouble. The food is a buffet and is very good. Starter, main course, wine, dessert and coffee for 18 euros.

Room was comfortable. I didn't have breakfast there. The location is fantastic. We use the spa every day for 9 days. It was awesome. The stuff members are very nice, and helpful.

The Hotel Castro is well situated for sleeping over to ensure a short stretch into Santiago de Compostela when walking the Camino. The accommodation is very nice and clean and I got a good night's sleep. There is a bar and vegetable store 80m from the entrance that is suitable to buy a good dinner as the hotel's cafeteria was closed. I will recommend this Hotel on your way into Santiago.

The staff is friendly and competent. When we arrived we had very good explanations about the area on a map. The room was spacious and the bathroom with a tub was a good size. Everything is very clean. The restaurant has very good food options and very convenient early breakfast and a laundromat next door. It is in a very quiet street and very close to the Camino de Santiago and the Churches.

The hotel was very well placed on the Camino de Santiago. It is on a very quiet side street near laundromat, drugstore, and small supermarket. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious, a little pricey for a pilgrim, but the mail was delicious and the restaurant is renowned in the region.

After a few days in hostels on the Camino, I was pleased to have a room to myself. I found it to be clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. I ate in the restaurant when I arrived and have to say the food was delicious, despite being quite expensive by comparison to other restaurants. That said, it was great quality and very convenient.

The apartment is quite spacious, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms in addition to another room with the jacuzzi. We were 6 people and we comfortably stayed in the apartment for two nights. The jacuzzi works well and fits up to two people at the same time. The living room and kitchen are modern too. After checkout, the host let us leave the baggage in a nearby hotel.

The apartment was beautiful. A perfect combination of older architecture and modern facilities, (e.g.) bathrooms, kitchen and decor of the apartment. The easy access to the center was a bonus. The jacuzzi tub was also a wonderful way to relax at the end of the day. The host was very responsive and provided great advice and instructions. One of the best apartments we have stayed in for some time. Highly recommend staying in this quaint and peaceful oasis in Santiago de Compostela.

The apartment is extremely clean (bed linen had a pleasant fragrance, which does not happen everywhere !) and stylishly furnished and designed. The location is convenient, close to the centre but away from hustle and bustle. The Jacuzzi is fantastic, although we had to use it by intuition since we could not find instructions. Wi-fi works perfectly and the owner was prompt in answering our questions before arriving. Check-in and check-out easy and well- organized.

A very nice apartment with big living room and 3 bed rooms. The beds were comfortable and clean. We use the washing machine with dryer and the kitchen to prepare dinner. The shower was very good

This roadside hotel is just a short worthwhile detour off the Camino Ingles. Friendly owner completed the check-in process at the small separate hotel entrance to the right of cafe bar entrance. The twin room overlooked the garden and pool and I had no road noise from the back of the building. A large fan and comfortable beds led to easy sleep. Bathroom had plenty of hot water and towels/toiletries were provided. Outdoor terrace to front of building and a nice bar/cafe area. The cafe menu had plenty of choice. I used restaurant in evening and found good service from the owners. Our meals were large with plenty of flavour. Croquettes, Galician soup, Chicken escalope, Iberian ham with eggs and potatoes. Breakfast was available in the cafe bar the following morning. These were good sized portions and value for money.

This was the best shower I have had on my whole trip. It was hot and strong. Everyone was kind, the bed was comfortable, the food was good. But the shower was amazing!!!!

Friendly staff, clean room, great food in attached restaurant. One of the best showers of all the accommodations along the Camino Inglés - with big bathtub - and the exhaust fan in the bathroom actually worked. Space at the rear to hang washing. Stand fan in the room.

This is a really fine family owned and family-run business which will make you feel at ease and welcome, without fuss or great expense. The room s are straightforward but everything is there and works, and they are well. Heated in the winter. Good if you are drying out from the Camino de Compostelle. The team also got a complete wash and dryer of our soaked and smelly gear done for us Dining and lunch was tasty and hearty, with a good tasty local selection and some better wines as well as the regular table one.

Oh my gosh! This place was a TREAT! We loved the medieval-style decor in the main area, the delightful pool area, the beautiful grounds, the rooms were amazing - clean, comfortable and big! Our hostess was SO kind and helpful! She welcomed us, showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed for our night's stay. Then in the morning, she made us a huge, delicious breakfast! We would have loved to stay there for a whole week! But, since we were walking the Camino de Santiago, we had to head out the next morning...but we stayed as late as we could, because it was amazing there! They had a selection of wines, beer, teas and coffee available for purchase outside of the meal hours, they had menus for nearby restaurants that deliver, to make meals convenient - which we appreciated, since we were on foot and it being a rural house, it was a couple kilometers outside of the main town area. We also happened to luck out that we were the only guests that night, so we had the ENTIRE place to ourselves! But, even if that weren't the case, I know this would still be an amazing 10/10 stay!

Absolutely beautiful! Gorgeous rooms and the facilities were exceptional. Perfect location, a short walk from Milladoiro and the camino path. Susana was exceptional. She was welcoming and helpful and provided a superb breakfast before our final walk into Santiago de Compostela. Susana even helped us order a pizza delivery for dinner! The grounds are lovely, and we enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening (from the honesty bar), watching the sun go down. Perfect.

Beautiful country house. Very quiet. Lovely rooms. Perfect for a quiet stay a little off the Camino. We had hot weather and the pool was welcome. Washing machine etc also available. Honesty bar and nice kitchen area. Very helpful. Beautifully decorated. Took us to dinner and dropped us back and printed our tickets for baggage transfer as we decided not to carry them the last day due to torrential rain forecast. Highly recommend

Rooms and beds were lovely and comfortable. Very unique property. Friendly staff, offered to drive us to their sister property with a restaurant, which was very nice. And then they drove us back. The breakfast was very nice, set up at tables, plenty of fruit, cheese and ham, muffins and toast, coffee, etc. The casa is about 10 minute walk off the Camino, which was perfect for us.

This is my second stay at this bnb. I walked the Camino both times and it is the perfect stopping point between Padron and Santiago. The house is so well made, decorated ands maintained. There are only 5 rooms so book it right away. If you are walking they accept luggage transfers. Also a helpful hint, after you cross the bridge over the highway and head towards Milladioro you will come to a traffic circle. There is a sign for THIS bnb.. follow the signs to the house (don't go up the steep hill into town) . The bnb is in a neighborhood. Uber eats can deliver food to the house. The house also has wine, beer, and soda for sale. The caretaker who will serve you breakfast is super kind. Breakfast was good with cakes, meats and cheeses, breads and fruit. There is also a pool to dip your feet (or swim) in after walking. There are outdoor courtyards and indoor shared areas to sit and relax. You can tell I really love this place!

Amazing, large size jacuzzi! And very good restaurant downstairs. They serve very cold beer in properly iced jugs. Room is small but very clean. Convenient for a last stop before Santiago.

The hotel is a little distance from the Camino, but still very convenient. The receptionist, Ebba, speaks good English and explained everything well. The room and bathroom were spotless. The beds were comfortable. There was a small balcony where we were able to air out our hiking boots. There is not much adjacent to the hotel so we ate dinner and breakfast there. Dinner was decent, and breakfast for three euros was good value.

We stayed at this hotel one night in our hike of the Camino. The rooms were comfortable and modern. WiFi worked well. The shower was also nice. The restaurant downstairs was quite good and we had a very enjoyable dinner here.

We were walking the Camino and this was one of the few options in the area. A little more than we would normally pay but a great set up with a pleasant bar restaurant underneath, which meant evening meal and breakfast in easy reach. Quality new room above. Check in was easy and the staff were all great and very helpful especially the woman who checked us in. It had a small balcony which gave us a little more space than normal and in easy reach of the camino. Shower and hot water were brilliant and all fairly recent construction so all mod cons and everything working.

Location is beautiful. The cabins are just lovely and very well equipped. The jacuzzi outside in front of nature is just amazing. The fire inside the cabin offers a warm and cozy feeling. Overall, a very lovely place to spend cozy and relaxing days. There is an option to get picnic baskets and a visit to vineyards, we didn't get but sure it would have been amazing.

It was a peaceful place, it shows how much care they put in taking care of everything. The cabin was so new and very clean, comfortable.

Cabins are in oak tree woods next to a vineyard. They are aligned in such a way that you can sit on the terrace and not directly see it another cabin. Lots of shade and good air conditioning. Very well decorated.

It is a unique place. With perfect balance of nature and comfort. They have lovely details everywhere. The service is impeccable.

I loved the quaint and peaceful hotel - lovely old stone home. It was clean, tasteful and comfy. The location was perfect - just off the Camino Santiago trail - a restaurant and convenience store down the road was really handy. The continental breakfast was very convenient to start off a long day of walking.

I loved this property-one of my favorite stays on the Camino. The host was friendly and welcoming, there was a restaurant nearby and it was right off the trail! The room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was perfect

I was completely surprised by this rather special out of the way place . The receptionist was so welcoming and allowed me to change my room to one with more sunlight ( I ‘d arrived early after a long Camino walk) so that could enjoy resting in the warmth . She then brought me generous refreshments in the garden . Breakfast was very good. This is a simple but very hospitable place- just a few rooms, but perfect for the last night before walking into Santiago de Compostela.The big hotels could learn a lot from these little places about hospitality . It sounds a bit ominous going down to the restaurant next to a petrol station for dinner but this worked well- and I loved walking in orchard on the farm where this gem of a hotel is located. I believe choosing this hotel as my last accommodation on the Camino de Santiago was an excellent decision. First, the location is very good. If I had chosen accommodation in Padrón, the final journey to Santiago Cathedral would have been about 26 km, which would have made the last stretch very difficult. By choosing this hotel, which is about 5 km north of the city center, the final walking distance was reduced to about 21 km, making the last leg much less strenuous. Beyond the good location, this hotel offered a cozy feeling I hadn't experienced before. The hotel is a remodeled, vintage-style house, giving the impression of staying in a private home. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the staff were exceptionally kind. Although breakfast is normally served at 7:30 a.m., when I requested to eat at 6 a.m., they prepared the breakfast in advance and allowed me to serve myself before leaving. Nearby, there is a supermarket next to a gas station and also a restaurant. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I pass through this area.

Everything was perfect, the owners and staff were super friendly and helpful, the location was just steps from the old city and all the amazing restaurants and shops, the room was clean, quiet and modern and the bed was super comfy. Really couldn't ask for more!

Clean, looks brand new. Friendly staff. Perfect location - just outside the old city (30 seconds and you are in the old city, in the market - just cross the street and head up some steps). They don't have breakfast, not even coffee. It took me a few days to find a place that actually serves decent breakfast (eggs, avocodo/tomato/ham toast), coffee, juice, for a good price. So I recommend booking this hotel, and eating breakfast in nearby "A Taberna Do Tarela" - it's 2 minutes away (in the old town).

The location is perfect for visiting the cathedral and old city which are less than 10 minutes away. Its just a 15 minute walk from the train and bus stations and has an airport bus stop outside the front door. Very friendly, helpful and professional staff and really spacious and clean rooms. We had a lovely balcony view. We will certainly return.

We had a wonderful stay at Santa Filomena in Santiago de Compostela. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with AC and an elevator—perfect for a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. We also felt very secure with the main door locking in the evening, accessible only with a key card. The owner was friendly and even helped us call a cab when we were leaving. Overall, a great place to stay, and we highly recommend it.

This was the most incredible hotel room on the Camino for us. The view itself was the piece de resistance. It made it worth every penny. The decor and atmosphere was super modern and contemporary, yet maintained an appreciation for the tradition and solemnity of Santiago de Compostela. It was like an oasis of modernity amidst the tradition of the Old World. For example, the room had strongly functioning AC and a soaking tub in the living space of the room; and at the same time, we could see the entire Plaza Obradoiro, and we could relive the pilgrim experience vicariously multiple times throughout our stay. The amenities, including the electric powered curtains and lights, were fun to use. The staff was super helpful on multiple levels. First, they kept our luggage, so we could explore the city, even before our check in time. Second, they helped us receive our baggage from the Donkey Service. Finally, they hailed a cab for us when we needed to get to the bus station. The location of the hotel - in the shadow of the Cathedral and close proximity to bars, restaurants, churches, and shopping was exceptional.

Location is absolutely amazing - right by the cathedral. We were upgraded to the suite, which is fantastic. The window looked out at the cathedral. Electrically operated curtains let you see ( or not see) the view! Free standing bath, amazingly powerful shower, huge fluffy towels, large comfy bed with wonderful pillows. Fancy coffee machine, fridge and water. The 2 receptionists were so excited to upgrade us AND show us the suite. They genuinely seemed happy to be working there. Breakfast was well worth the cost. Good selection of coffee, tea and juices. Typically Spanish with hams, cheese, bread, cake and fruits. It was an absolute dream of a stay! Thanks to the staff for making it even better 😊

right off the steps of the Santiago Plaza, so you could arrive from your Camino and right into your hotel. super clean, comfortable, secure. Breakfast (a buffet type) is served for a little extra money. Staff super accommodating. Beds comfortable with a sunny window. Rain shower was so nice with hot water. Quiet at night

So comfortable and perfect location to end our Camino experience . Right next to the main plaza, we only had a few more steps after the official end of our walk. Location great to explore Santiago de Compostela by foot, beds perfect, shower excellent, staff very helpful and friendly. And the restaurant next door excellent!

Awesome location right next to steps leading up to the Plaza del Obradoiro; minimalist, boutique hotel feel; friendly/helpful staff; great shower; comfortable bed; very nice buffet breakfast; super close to awesome Mexican restaurant (El Cártel de Mawey).

Loved our visit at Rua Villar. The location was perfect and an integral reason we loved Santiago. The front desk were outstanding - Sandra was particularly amazing in helping us before our trip (excellent information and insider tips) and during our stay (directions and excellent restaurant reservation). The room is rustic and charming. There was a mini fridge but no coffee in the room. Strangely that although there is a common sitting area, no coffee or tea was on offer there either. The cafe downstairs opens at 8am - staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was not to our taste but a lot of other people seemed to enjoy it. The room was a little noisy with creaking from the floorboards upstairs. But no street noise and we all slept well. We’d definitely stay here again based on the ideal location and incredibly helpful and friendly staff.

This is a fantastic hotel, right around the corner from the Cathedral at Santiago de Compostela. You really can’t get any closer to the Cathedral or being in the center of the Old Town. Location is absolutely tops. The hotel itself is super charming, well set up, very clean and orderly. So comfortable! And since it’s so close to everything, no reason to use a public WC - just go back to your room! The staff is lovely and happy to give you all kinds of advice about local restaurants, how to get around (which is easy once you realize the maze of streets isn’t all that many and all kind of run parallel to each other). Very professional administration, especially when making a reservation. Only shortcoming is the morning breakfast. It’s kind of a fast food, packaged croissants and muffins kind of breakfast. Cappuccino was great though. However, you can probably do better getting breakfast in a neighborhood cafe. But for expediency and simplicity’s sake, sure, take the breakfast right at Rua Villar.

Perfect spot, round the corner from cathedral, restaurants, parks. Front of desk staff were amazing, helpful, friendly, great recommendations. Great value breakfast, lovely staff. Pillows- memory foam, sooo comfortable! Room had a big windows, small balcony to sit in. Great stay! Thank you! PS take a chance on the 12pm mass, especially if there's a queue, you may get to see the bufumiero in action!

It is a very charming and comfortable hotel, in a great location very near the cathedral and all central bars and restaurants. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They will store your luggage when you check out, and there is a spacious area with comfortable chairs where you can wait, a godsend if the weather is bad.

Well what a lovely way to end the Camino, a few minutes' walk from the Cathedral. A beautiful renovated older style hotel loved it! My room was on the 3rd floor, with a roof window that gave me a view of some of the Cathedral. Lovely rooms- just watch your head in some areas. Perfect bathroom with bath and shower. Breakfast was available in the cafe downstairs. The staff in this hotel should be commended so helpful, friendly and personable. The location is perfect.

The hotel exceeded expectations in every way. The rooms are clean, modern, and incredibly relaxing, with comfortable mattresses and high-quality pillows that guarantee a good night’s sleep. Everything feels fresh and well-maintained, reflecting the hotel’s newer construction and excellent upkeep. The facilities are up to date, thoughtfully designed, and provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, making the overall experience smooth and enjoyable. Whether it was a quick request or general advice, they were consistently responsive and professional. Another major plus is the on-site parking, which adds convenience for guests traveling by car.

We stayed here one night before our last day walking the Camino. The hotel is very close to the route for The Way as well as being spotlessly clean, very modern and very comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the shower hot with excellent water pressure. Complimentary tea and coffee from the cafe (self serve) was welcome and the breakfast was plentiful and fresh. As it's approximately 6km from Santiago de Compostela, it's a great way to be well rested before completing your pilgrimage.

Absolutely exceptional! It looks inconspicuous on the map, but when you walk in, you're surprised. Modern but above all high standard of services (room, service, environment), which we did not expect in this price range. Perfect bathroom, room service, free coffee/tea in the main lobby. The very best place to recharge your batteries if you want to sleep in a quiet, comfortable, clean place. You feel like you're in a Hilton hotel.

There was lots to like - breakfast was great, lots of choices, fresh orange juice, great assortment of fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon and more and more. Lots of snacks in the room, a Nespresso machine and a generous amount of coffee capsules in the room, nice bedding, extra pillows. Spacious shower. Coffee available 24 hours/day!

A very comfortable, clean, modern hotel, ideally situated for the Portuguese Camino. The staff were very friendly, efficient and spoke excellent English. The wifi was fast and the buffet breakfast was superb. Highly recommended!

Fantastic stay in Santiago! This charming, petite hotel boasts a cozy, inviting decor. My room was incredibly comfortable, featuring double-glazed windows that ensured a peaceful night's sleep, a comfy bed with various pillow options, and perfect temperature control. The entire place was spotless. I loved the luxurious Nuxe soaps and creams provided in the shower. However, the highlight was the exceptionally friendly staff who went above and beyond to assist me with anything I needed. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

the hotel is small & perfect. it is very clean, tastefully decorated, quiet, has excellent facilities, provides a lovely breakfast & is in a great location for exploring Santiago de Compostela. The staff are amazing, so helpful & friendly, they helped make our brief (2 nights) visit perfect. muchas gracias ;-)

Beautiful quaint little hotel in a quite street away from the noise of the Cathedral area but still only a short walk. We were very lucky to be accommodated at short notice and the lovely receptionist couldn't have been more helpful. All the staff are extremely friendly and courteous. Our rooms were most comfortable with exposed stone walls and cute little balconies giving it a great character. A full length mirror would be most welcome however, in fact the only mirror was in the bathroom. Storage wasn't wonderful, the wardrobe was good but there were not any other shelves or closets and the desk/dressing table did not have any drawers either. Bathroom could also do with some more shelving but overall was nicely equipped with lovely Nuxe toiletries and a great hair dryer. The breakfasts were served to the table and although the selection was limited being just a continental breakfast, everything was fresh and delicious and the coffee lovely. Would definitely recommend for a stay in wonderful Santiago.

Room was clean and modern with a large bathroom and spacious bedroom. We also had a courtyard. Breakfast area was small but very well managed. We enjoyed a good breakfast with great options and fantastic service. Location is perfect to access Cathedral and surrounds. Patricia was absolutely amazing. So hard working. She took very good care of us. Thank you Patricia for making us feel at home. We had made changes to our stay and the correspondence was excellent via email and phone. Thank you to Sara. Would definitely stay at Hotel Altair during our next visit.

This is an amazing hotel in a great location, just a short walk to the cathedral. The reception team are amazing and so helpful (we left a mobile phone in Madrid and they helped us with a courier to deliver this to the hotel in Santiago). The breakfast is also great, fresh local toasted bread, iberico ham, local cheese, toasted croissants...all great produce that is fresh and with table service. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this hotel again, incredibly stylish, clean and well presented.

The room had an amazing view to a small, quiet plaza. The room was quiet, comfortable and cozy. The design of the bathroom was clever and meant it had natural light and didn't take too much space. The enclosed balcony was beautiful and I would had spent a lot of time sitting there enjoying the view if there wasn't so much to do in Santiago. I would suggest to have a kettle in the bedroom, for an early cup of tea or coffee in the morning. I know it isn't an expectation in Spanish hotels, so not an issue.

The hotel was in a perfect location close to all the sights. Our room was clean with comfortable beds and had a nice sized bathroom with toiletries. There was a stocked mini fridge and a large balcony door with a view to the front entrance courtyard. On our floor we had a beautifully furnished common living room with access to the terrace garden. Breakfast was pricey so we did not eat there but just in front of the hotel there is a little cafe that serves up the best coffee and wonderful little breakfast. Great place,would definitely recommend.

Lovely modern hotel. We dragged ourselves in from the Camino, sopping wet. We really appreciated a day of relaxing in a bright, comfortable, spacious room, with a bath and shower, crisp sheets and a comfortable bed. The hotel is in an older building, but it has been fully renovated inside. The staff are friendly and helpful. We are so happy that we treated ourselves to a couple of nights in this wonderful hotel.

Everything from the first steps into the hotel was exceptional. Luisa and Christina were very helpful, hospitable and friendly. We had a Superior room with a lovely view of the back terrace area. Clean, very comfortable and the value for money was above expectations. A heartfelt 'Thank You' to the staff for making our time in Santiago de Compostela special. Looking forward to coming back.

The room was exceptional - within the bedroom, there was a sectioned off area with a couch and comfortable chairs and table overlooking the back of the hotel - where there was a very peaceful patio area. The room didn't have tea/coffee, but this was made for us downstairs and we took it outside to drink. You are in the heart of the city, and even in the midst of the summer, we were cool in our room and undisturbed by any noise. The hotel staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful to maximise advise on our visit to Compostela. An absolutely fantastic stay.
