This hotel exceeded our expectations and I would not hesitate to stay again. The superior double with garden view room was beautiful with a stunning view of the Tuscan hills that really felt like you were living in Italy. It was a very quiet location albeit a little walk from the station but totally worth it for the views and it was very close to good restaurants and the main sights. The free breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit and home made pastries/cakes and choice of coffee. The terrace absolutely makes this hotel, the view while you eat breakfast or have an afternoon drink is worth the booking of this hotel. The interior is rather historical but that added to the charm and the room was comfortable with a modern bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was excellent value for money and we loved Siena, would recommend to anyone looking for a piece of true Tuscany and peaceful stay during their stay in Italy.

Pensione Palazzo Ravizza, Siena For us, this was the ideal place to stay in Siena. Our room was beautiful - spacious, clean and comfortable with a superb window view over the countryside of Tuscany. The hotel was well-run and in good condition, with a calm, cool interior that had the hallmarks of quality. All the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, especially at Reception. A key feature of the hotel is its large, well-kept garden looking out over Tuscany, where guests can enjoy peace, tranquillity and birdsong at any time of day or evening. Breakfast fare was not extensive but most enjoyable because of its good quality. Drinks at the bar were very reasonably priced. This hotel was one of the highlights of our tour of Italy – a quiet, refined haven just a short walk from the cathedral and the amazing central square of Siena, a magical hill-top town of medieval character. It was a joy to stay at Pensione Palazzo Ravizza and we would not hesitate to book there again on a return to Siena. We highly recommend it to discerning travellers.

The view from our room was Stunning to say the least. We looked out over the courtyard with a view of the town and rolling hills. The breakfast was magnificent and plentiful with some of the best coffee, cappuccino and pastries we have had to date. The room was larger than expected, yet warm and cozy. The staff, in particular, Francesca and Sophia took care of our every request and were quite helpful. Shady (I believe was the young lady at the breakfast bar and evening bar) was most pleasant and a pleasure to speak with and provided for all of our needs. We enjoyed our stay so much that we skipped going to Florence and stayed inside the city walls exploring all of the sites suggested by Francesca and the Michelin Star Restaurant, La Taverna Di San Giuseppe as suggested by Sophia!

Very good complimentary breakfast which could be taken in a pleasant indoor breakfast room or outside on the lovely terrace garden. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Convenient but quiet location. Very comfortable room. Weather was good when we were there and it was lovely to be able to relax in the garden terrace and have an early evening aperitif from the bar.

My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at Palazzo Ravizza very much. We arrived in Siena, our first Tuscan stop, at the train station around 4 pm. The hotel is not walkable from the station and calling an Uber wasn’t as simple as other cities but via the Uber app, a taxi did come. By car, the hotel was a short ride on a busy road, then through one of the old gates where it turned into windy, narrow streets. The hotel itself is very pretty and has the look and feel of an old house with bookcases everywhere. I’d love to know the history, it was almost certainly a house and even had what looked like family portraits everywhere. Check in was quick and easy. We were on the second floor with a beautiful view of the garden. If we’d had more time it would have been a lovely spot for a glass of wine. We did carry our breakfast out there one morning and my husband enjoyed several cups of coffee in the early peaceful morning. The center of town is a short walk down a hill then you’re into the windy, historic streets we came for. We had a king bed that was SO comfortable. Perfectly firm. Opening the windows in the night was really nice even if the birds were loud. Breakfast was great and typical with some added savory pastries. A ham and cheese and a spinach which was delicious. It was no problem to get a glass of ice for my Diet Coke - I always buy one in town the evening before. 5 STARS and I’d love to stay here again! Including pics:)

Breakfast was delightful. They have a great espresso machine, so the lattes were fantastic. The breakfast area is delightful, both inside and outside. The garden is a lovely setting to have breakfast. The library and sitting room was also delightful to gather in. The elevator was large and worked well, and the steps were elegant and not steep and easy to go up and down if you prefer. The location was great, it is on Villa Row across from the park, near a look out point above the city center. It is just outside the edge of the city walls. This is a perfect location, especially if you have a car. The walk to city center was 15 minutes but you are passing both a lovely view and shops along the way. It is right next to a very nice outdoor cafe. I highly recommend if you are taking a car to stay here instead of city center. My taxi cab driver said "oh, this is a nice area to stay in" when he got to street of the hotel. He is a local, and he was impressed, that sums up the safe, and lovely neighborhood.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. The breakfast was exceptional (highly recommend taking this option). Located close to main attractions. Large comfortable bed. Lockable safe. Toiletries provided. Air conditioning.

The breakfast was the same every morning, which could have been slightly different for the sake of varieties, but it was ok. One can have as many coffees as they wanted and all great Italian types! Very clean rooms and all other facilities. They were cleaning the rooms daily and changing our towels daily as well. There is a parking right behind the hotel with a daily rate of 10 eur. There is an access from the parking to the hotel without having to go outside of the garden. Very convenient. The hotel is close to the city center, 1.3km to be precise. The walk is pleasant and very safe even later in the night. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!

The location is perfect to the main town everything is walkable, bus stop is right out in front of the hotel to go anywhere pretty much. Breakfast was really nice They had a lot of assortment of things to eat. Great big outdoor patio to sit overlooking the city amazing view. I would definitely come back here again and the staff was beyond amazing extremely helpful in every way. And the water pressure is fantastic and the water was very soft on your skin to take a shower in.

The hotel is situated just outside the walls of the city in a quiet part of town and a short walk into the campo or you can take a bus in to the historic centre which only takes a few minutes. Breakfast served in the beautiful garden overlooking a breathtaking Tuscan landscape was plentiful and fresh, a typical Italian selection. The staff in the hotel completely overshadowed all of this with their quiet courtesy and kindness even coming out to show us the bus stop and look at the timetable to suggest which bus to catch for the most convenient journey. Our bags were carried out to the taxi as we left and there were a dozen other things like serving us drinks in the evening in the garden when friends came to visit. All done so elegantly. Bus tickets for sale at reception. I could not have found a better place to stay and learned a great deal from the staff about the history of the city that no guide book could reveal. Lucio was a fountain of knowledge about the traditions of the Contrada we were in - Val de montone. He knew where to find a church out of many where we could go to mass.The view from my room out across olive trees vines and hills was breathtaking. All of which helped to make this a memorable visit.

I have traveled around the world and this is one of my favorite hotels ever! The overall ambiance and friendliness cannot be beat. The view from the outdoor area where you can also eat breakfast takes your breath away. Lorenza,Lucia, and Allessandra are always there to help with unconditional smiles and patience. The location and room comfort were excellent as well as the delicious and assorted buffet breakfast served in a beautiful breakfast room or outdoors with unsurpassed views. This was my second time staying at Santa Catarina. and all my expectations were met and I cannot wait to return again.

A lifelong friend and I went to Siena to see her son, who is attending a semester in Siena. Hotel Santa Caterina was recommended by a mutual friend and was a highlight of our trip! The staff is so incredibly kind, the breakfasts are delicious and the rooms were simple, clean, beautiful and SO comfortable. The beds, linens and pillows were so cozy in both of our bedrooms. The view off the garden and terrace was peaceful...spectacular. I can't recommend Hotel Santa Caterina more highly. I'll look forward to staying there again!

It’s a beautiful hotel in a lovely, peaceful setting with gorgeous views. The rooms were very clean and pleasant with very comfortable beds and fantastic (silent) air conditioning. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. The staff could not have been more helpful and are one of the best points of the hotel. They were always friendly and booked us taxis and reservations at restaurants. One of our favourite things was the pool which was clean, a great temperature and it never got too crowded. There was a nice terrace to sit outside with drinks or breakfast. The bar is open 24 hours with a good range of soft and alcoholic drinks. We stayed 4 nights but we wished we could stay longer! The location was also good. We did not have a car but it was only about €10 euros for a taxi into Siena or there were buses every half hour (if you don’t mind a little walk). Siena is beautiful with lots of shops and lovely restaurants. There is also a lovely restaurant about 15 mins walk away.

We were on a business trip in total of 7 people from 2 different companies. The rooms are clean, of sufficiently size, very well insulated, a stable internet connection and a great view. The hotel is fantastically located, has a large car park with several charging stations for electric cars, which was very helpful in our case. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was possible to have group discussions in moderate volume in the cosy foyer after the more as sufficient breakfast and the restaurant recommendations from the staff were excellent.

Clean hotel operated by kind and helpful staff. Location is perfect for visiting Siena and surrounding area. The included breakfast was tasty and had gluten free options that were safe for celiac. Overall, we had a relaxing stay.

Our room at second floor had also amazing views over the old center of the city. Hotel has elegant common spaces like breakfast and dinner saloons, lobbies, wine cellar and a beautiful Sala delle Feste (Hall of Festivities) at the first floor. This public elegant space is a showcase of the palazzo’s rich history, featuring original frescoes, intricate stucco work, and luxurious décor. Rooms very clean, fully equipped with everything you might need and lots of complimentary stuff. We had a wonderul king & queen treatment and really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast very good, with lots of options and high quality ingredients and dishes and elements to choose from. A truly outstanding 5 star experience

The breakfast was amazing. I have never seen a buffet with so many wonderful choices. The breakfast room was beautiful and the collection of Spanish horse pictures was really special. There were fresh flowers on each table. Also, we took advantage of wine tasting in their cellar. We had 5 wines paired with small bites of food. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this extra feature. The bar and seating area had beautiful colored glass tables - very classy. The staff was very professional. I was sorry to leave this hotel.

Absolutely stunning hotel in the center of Siena, the staff was so charming and very nice. The breakfast was exceptional, the food from the restaurant was delicious! The rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable, decorated with a lot of style, the attention to detail was very present. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a luxury yet comfortable and warm palace!

We stayed three nights at the Grand Hotel Continental. The location right on the Main Street is perfect for walking all over Siena. At check in we were greeted by Lara who had the most bubbly personality. She showed us to our room and made us feel so welcome. She even translated an Italian email I had received about our train schedule. The hotel was once a palatial residence and is gorgeous. Crystal chandeliers and frescos everywhere. The bar area is lovely with colorful velvet furniture. Our room was spacious and had plenty of storage. The bed was very comfortable. All hotel bathtubs are very deep and very slippery. This was the only hotel to provide a rubber tub mat so you don’t fall. A welcome touch. On the vanity were a small bottle of wine and a box of cookies along with a personal welcome note. We assumed these were complimentary and consumed them. The next day another bottle of wine appeared. We did not know until checkout that these were minibar items and we were charged a total of $75 for these three items. The vanity was located on the opposite side of the room from the minibar, so we never considered these were minibar items or we would never have touched them. I think this is very deceptive not to be marked and certainly left a bad taste at checkout on an otherwise delightful stay. We would still recommend this lovely hotel right in the heart of Siena.

I’ve wanted to stay at this hotel since my first visit to Siena 25 years ago and it certainly didn’t disappoint! What a beautiful hotel just a few steps from the Campo and Duomo. We had a luxury room with view and it was fabulous - a nice sized room with a very high ceiling and a gorgeous view over the rooftops of Siena towards the Duomo and the countryside beyond. The salon is beautiful and the frescos are original from when the palazzo was built. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had the wine tasting and dinner experience in the cellar which was amazing and something I will never forget. Overall, an outstanding stay and we’d love to return one day.

This is an older facility, but well kept. Linens & towels were like new. The location was convenient. It was within walking distance to train & historical sites, but bus transportation was also close by. Also free parking was available for those with a car.

The property was lovely, beautiful little gardens and the room was lovely with a great view. The shower was hot and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was great with a nice glass courtyard which was a lovely way to start the day. The staff were exceptional especially Matteo, he gave us advice on authentic places to eat and places to see and no question asked was ever a problem. We loved stay and experience at Siena. Id definitely give this property 5 stars

This is a smallish hotel that seems family run. It is very comfortable and welcoming. The staff was incredibly accommodating for us, even extending our stay for an additional night. They also recommended places to eat and made helpful suggestions to access places around the hotel. It also has a fine garden for sitting, relaxing and enjoying an espresso. Breakfasts are fantastic and tables are in a very bright and cheerful sun room. Highly recommend this hotel!

This charming hotel is situated near the entrence to the Old town Siena. The staff is so very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast is amazing. Rooms are clean and comfortable. It takes about 25 minutes to walk to the center of the Siena old town. The available parking in the hotel is really tight, something to keep in mind if you're traveling in a big car. But there is also street parking available behind the hotel. We had an amazing stay and would gladly come back again on our next visit to Siena!

This was a very good hotel in a great location with beautiful views. Friendly and helpful staff. Bed was fine but a little too firm for me. I had a deluxe room with a balcony on the top floor. It was worth the extra cost. Room was spacious. The view was incredible. A short walk to the city centre, restaurants, sites, shops, etc. The breakfast was fine. Room was very clean. Kettle and tea/coffee in room. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night and it was excellent.

All hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel room was nice and clean. The hotel is conveniently located down the road from the heart of old Siena, with many shops, restaurants, and attractions. The hotel restaurant was nice with great service and offering delicious food. The breakfast buffet was amazing and our daily highlight. We spent my husbands birthday evening at the hotel restaurant and they made it special! We also arranged for a classic music evening through the hotel, which was another highlight of our stay. We stayed an entire week at Athena hotel and definitely would stay there again!

The location was perfect, with amazing views. We ate at the restaurant where the food was excellent. Breakfast was also included, and it did not disappoint. The staff were so friendly and helpful and polite. We were upgraded, which was a lovely surprise, and the room was beautiful. A very large comfy bed, quality bedding, and luxury towels. We also had free parking available.

A warm welcome greeted as a we arrived at the hotel, this hotel is grand with an antique elegance. We had booked 2 rooms, one superior and one standard, the standard was a better room, ok, the view wasn’t the best but you can see the beautiful view from the terrace of the hotel. The actual layout and size of the standard room was better, bigger wardrobe as well. Also the superior room we had was on the 7th floor right next to the service room so if you plan to have a lie-in in the mornings you can forget it because the staff are so noisy! Breakfast was the usual buffet, I liked this breakfast because they had seeds, dried fruits and yoghurts, my kids liked it because they had their eggs, bacon, toast etc. I found the cake/croissant section very dry. I treated myself to a slice of apple cake on my first morning but it was dry and the croissants were hard! There was a bar in this hotel and restaurant but I didn’t use either therefore I cannot comment on them. The staff were friendly and the hotel itself was warm, it’s a dated hotel but it’s clean and near to the center of the town. Great for a weekend visit.

This was by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Located right on the edge of the city walls, it offers breathtaking views of the Tuscan hills and is just a short, safe walk from the city centre. It was absolutely perfect! The hotel’s location couldn’t be better, and its atmosphere beautifully combines the charm of the ancient city with modern comforts, giving you the best of both worlds. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, especially Tommaso, who went out of his way to help us park our car (a task that would have been quite challenging otherwise). Our stay was completely stress free and relaxing thanks to everything the hotel provided. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, and the breakfast was far better than it appeared in the photos. In fact, the entire hotel was cleaner, nicer, and more welcoming than we had expected from the pictures. We stayed here with our two young children, and the staff were wonderfully accommodating, making everything so much easier for us. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a stay in Siena.

We are Greeks and we visited the Italy for vacation. Our experience of this hotel was perfect. The room was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was perfect. The room was very clean and the hotel food was delicious!! Perfect experience!!

We’d first seen this hotel 16 years ago and I’d always wanted to stay there. We stayed for 4 nights, it was clean, staff very helpful, perfect location. The pool was lovely and refreshing and quiet. Local restaurants all lovely. Good continental breakfast. Lovely view from our room.

The receptionist was very helpful when we checked in. They have a limited bar service at any time, so soon after checking in, I went down to ask for some Prosecco. I did mention it was my birthday and he insisted on giving us two glasses on the house. Very nice gesture. The common parts are all very nice, with interesting China sculptures which we enjoyed seeing. The weather was not warm enough for us to sit out in the garden and enjoy the pool with the views, but that would be wonderful if the weather were better. Breakfast was very good, and generally they were very friendly and helpful. the only reason I did not give it five stars was that the room was a bit dark and small. You could not say it was luxurious, but for a fascinating old town, it was a great place to stay.

We first visited Monteriggioni 16 years ago and 8 had a pipe dream to stay at the local hotel. Fast forward to 2023 and we stayed for 4 nights. Great location, the hotel was quiet, staff very helpful, great continental breakfast. Clean room, plenty of towels and sheets changed during our stay. The hotel is in a great location for visiting the historic centre and the bus stop/terminal are nearby A kettle and cups were provided, as requested, but there were no wine glasses in room. The hotel is really lovely. It is a stone's throw from the center, well-maintained and with friendly staff. I was impressed with my room. It looked even better than in the photos. The bed was comfortable, and my room was quiet at night due to its garden orientation. Continental breakfast was offered, and I enjoyed it. Every member of the staff I encountered was friendly and charming. I would happily stay there again.

Perfect location with the best rooftop balcony area views in Siena! Just stunning! A gorgeous hotel, large and very comfortable rooms with great en suite. Our room was a Superior with dual aspect. The bed was so comfortable and was a joy to be there. Loved the warm welcome we received and everyone there were so very helpful. The breakfast was first class and a delight to enjoy in the garden. Very useful having a fridge with a few mini bar drinks. Thank you for the complimentary water too. The hotel is on a quiet street just a short walk from the heart of Siena. They do have a small car park for 1-2 cars and room for mopeds/motorbikes but plenty of free parking on the road which is where we parked. Don't need to use your car really in Siena as all is within walking distance and part of the joy. So very pleased I found this hotel and booked for our one night stay. Made our mini holiday within our main Italian holiday even more special. We are staying in Dozza near Bologna and love to explore the region and so it was wonderful to visit Siena and stay over meaning we had longer to explore and more time to relax and soak up this beautiful city. Set a bit off the beaten path in lovely Siena, Villa Elda was charming and quaint. Rooms are spacious relative to other hotels in Italy, beds were comfy and the space was spotless. We had a second floor room that had spectacular views. Air conditioning is not the best - it comes from the floor - so request a fan and leave the windows open at night. Breakfast was simple but delicious and they offered 3-4 different types of coffee including American. They have a lovely outdoor garden to eat or just to sit and relax. But unlike other hotels, they do not have any amenities (apart from a small mini-bar and coffee maker in your room) so if you want lunch, snack, dinner you have to walk into town. It's a short walk with lots to see along the way and Siena offers a multitude of choices for eateries, shopping and sights. We wanted to experience the charm of this area without being among the crowds and Villa Elda was just the place. Warning: there is no elevator or porter, so you will be carrying your own bags up and down the stairs. Overall a delightful experience.

We enjoyed our recent stay at Hotel Villa Elda on our recent honeymoon in Tuscany. This small hotel is located a short walk (perhaps 10 minutes) from the historic center of Siena. We found the staff, including Riccardo and Sara, to be very helpful and pleasant during our stay. Riccardo provided excellent recommendations for meals, and Sara gave us easy and accurate directions to the next stop on our trip, as we headed towards the coast and the island of Elba. Thank you again! The hotel is small and very well maintained, and our room was spotless. A buffet breakfast was served from 0800 - 1000 inside the hotel, but tables were also available outside in the garden. After we helped ourselves to bread, ham, cheese, marmalade, fruit, and yogurt inside at the buffet and sat outside, hot beverages were served directly to us in the garden. We met and chatted with several lovely couples (hello Andy, Tracy, Libby and Michael!) over breakfast in the garden. Siena is a gorgeous city, and Hotel Villa Elda is a comfortable, quiet spot just a short walk away to explore it from.

This hotel is a beautiful old villa in a quiet residential area, a short walk from all the attractions of Siena. We paid extra for a city view room and it was well worth the small supplement, with superb views of the Duomo and the lovely red roofs of Siena. The weather was glorious while we there so it was an added bonus to be able to eat our breakfast in the garden. The young ladies who run this hotel were without exception friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are tea and coffee making facilities too, and free wi-if. If you are there on a Wednesday there is a huge market just around the corner - well worth a wander!

Comfortable beds and a sweet little patio, more quiet due to rural location. A great little getaway! I loved getting to walk and explore the surrounding area, as it feels incedibly safe and welcoming. There is a grocery store about a 20 min walk away, which was very convenient.

It is not in the city center and clearly serves mainly people using the hospital structure around the corner. It was the only option we could find during the Palio days in Siena, but it ended up being a good find: breakfast offers a great selection, the room was adequately spacious for 3 people, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. A bus travels back and forth from Piazza del Sale in the very city center very frequently. The only negative thing: the linen on the additional bed wasn't exactly clean, but that can happen.

Added to the experience. 😀 Bathroom super clean with great olive oil based products. But the stand out, most amazing thing about this hotel... The breakfast! Sweet baby Jesus. Continental style. They did a brown bread croissant with honey. Unreal. Then... they have Nutella on a pump, with a spear nozzle. So can just impregnate your croissant with Nutella. Best way to start a day.

This hotel has a lovely location overlooking the valley. If you go there, make sure you go up to the Terrace where you can sit and watch the world go by. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and if you do not have a car, you will need to eat at the restaurant. We were uncertain about that, but in fact it ended up being one of the best meals of our holiday. I had the beef on a bed of rocket with Parmeson on top, and that was excellent. My partner had the wild boar Ragu on pasta, and as she is gluten-free, they were able to provide this with gluten-free pasta. Again, they made a special point at breakfast of having a gluten-free offering. Some people comment to ask for a room facing the front so that you have a view. Our room was on the ground floor facing the front, and there was not much of a view and the negative is that the lorries charge past relatively early in the morning, so it can be noisy. If you have an upstairs room, that would be better. In addition, as the upstairs room, obviously had a tiled floor, we could hear people moving about very loudly from our room.

Absolutely perfect stay...only regret was we only stayed one night. Room was great, very spacious. Our meal in the dining room was top-notch and our breakfast was great. Drinks on the terrace were perfect. Prices for room and meal were very fair. Amazing property and would highly recommend.

The location of the villa is fantastic, in a very quiet position on the Siena's hills. Not far from the town 's centre but far enough to be an extremely peaceful and relaxing location. Everything was just perfect: outstanding organisation so when we arrived everything was clear to access the building and reach our bedroom. The bedroom was spacious, clean, looking lovely with all amenities, such as a fridge and a set for making tea and coffee. The view from the bedroom was stunning over the Tuscan countryside. The breakfast, included in the price, was excellent with all sorts of great food, from sweet to saviour products. The staff was outstanding, especially Signora Anna Lisa, who is the manager there but she is doing an incredible job at the hotel putting that touch of personal care and love. She spent time talking to us, making sure all was good, giving us plenty of advice on how to visit Siena. Our stay at the hotel has been great. A place that has a special character and charm.

Great spot in beautiful Toscana with the view from heaven. The host was super helpful and friendly. The room was cosy and super clean. We had a great breakfast in the morning while our motorcycle was peacefully sleeping in the safe garage.

We stayed here for one night on our way further south. Our priority was safe parking for the car and convenience. It was a perfect choice, the location is right outside Siena, it's very peaceful for a night's rest and safe. The room was super clean and the breakfast was as expected, typical for Italy. Would stay here again if back in the area.

Staff really helpful with traditional customer approach - very responsive and attentive to every need. Villa is close to Siena and easy to get to by bus (buses very easy and cheap - the hotel sells tickets for €1.50 and buses pass the property and go direct to central Siena every 15 mins - remember to validate your ticket once on the bus!). Restaurant has an fantastic menu for dinner but check which nights they are open as they don’t appears to open every night. One night we were there they had a wonderful pianist playing in the corner of the dining room which created a great atmosphere to go with the amazing food. There are some photos of the “old days” on the walls - people like Grace Kelly and Barbara Hutton stayed there decades ago and you can imagine some things haven’t changed since then (in a good way). Plenty of original features which keep this beautiful villa a lovely place to stay. Also - swimming pool, tennis court… Could stay there for days and not need to leave!

The breakfast was wonderful, lots of fresh fruit, great selection of juices, loved the kiwi juice! The staff was very helpful, the breakfast room was nice with nice linens and dishware. The croissants, pastries were delicious and fresh eggs were an added bonus. The grounds are amazing, very relaxing, the gardens are very lovely, I did not have time to go to the pool, but it looked inviting. The bar area was nice and made us a great Negroni. Our room was great, very large room and I liked all the antique furnishings. loved the pretty ceiling.

It really is an extraordinary place. Amazing building, high ceilings. Elegant, top service. My wife loved it and we rather thought it was worth the money in spite of a couple minor points. The bath/shower knob did not engage fully to shower mode, so the water ran heavy through the tub spout during showers. But the pressure was still good at the shower. This was complicated by slow drains (both in the shower and also the sink). We stayed 3 nights but no repair was forthcoming (hard to get a plumber I guess). The shower was in the tub which is a tight squeeze. These places use an old dungeon key for room entry...no security risk I think, but it would be nice to upgrade to electronic card access? We booked understanding that there was air conditioning but there was none, or not functioning...consulted staff. The weather was temperate so not a problem but, travelling through Italy can be sticky and we like to dry out at the end of the day. Even with all this, the place is extraordinary and it was a fine place for the money. Also I wanted to get some laundry done as we travelled for weeks, but thee seemed no way to get it done. The pool is nice but in this season alot of flies were in the pool. The staff and service and food are top notch. The place is on a road that has the usual Italian motorbikes zipping up the road. But at night it is quiet. Beautiful property gardens. There was no shuttle to town, but the buses stop right at the property. We drove.

My wife and I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton in Siena. The staff from the front desk to the breakfast staff were very friendly helpful and insightful. I can say with 120 Marriott nights this year, the breakfast was the best Marriott breakfast I have ever had. Farm fresh eggs, vegetables and meats. Of course no Italian breakfast is without its pastries, bread and espresso. I found I like the Americano with one shot espresso. I don’t normally look forward to breakfast like this but all 3 mornings this was a great way to start our day. The hotel was comfortable and clean. The only real downside is no Netflix on the television. This hotel was close to the train station and easy access to the bus route. We certainly enjoyed our stay at this comfortable Four Points by Sheraton Siena.

EVERYONE working at this hotel was very professional and FRIENDLY. THE HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN. Italy has so many charming “old” hotels, but this was a nice modern choice for the location. Thank you. The breakfast bar offered a lot of choices. The staff at the restaurant at dinner took exceptional care of us (& we saw them again at breakfast!). The Romanian bartender made a perfect Negroni & was enjoyable to talk with.

Finally a modern hotel in Siena. It's not our first time in Siena, but we always had to settle for "traditional" hotels, which usually means a non-renovated building, small and smelly old rooms and no modern facilities (like fast WiFi, sufficient power outlets etc.). The Four Points was completely renovated last year and now lives to the standards of a modern Sheraton hotel. As a Platinum member we were upgraded to a suite which was awesome. Spacious, clean and well equipped. Good breakfast, and nice dinner, so you do not need to go look for anything (although if you are in Siena, you'd probably want to explore the old city and eat there). Their great service has shown when my wife forgot a necklace in the room. I was ready to give up on it, since usually the hotel staff "does not find it". This time when I called after a few hours they happily said they have found it, and shipped it to our next stop stop in Italy. Honest people, great service. One suggestion though: heat the pool. The water were too cold even for August, and hardly anyone entered the water. Could have been better if the water were a bit warmer. We will definitely stay in this hotel again when in Siena.

My husband and I are retired seniors who travel to Italy quite frequently. We absolutely love this hotel for many reasons. It’s in a great location with ample free parking, beautiful olive trees throughout the grounds and an awesome pool to cool off or relax. The lobby is large and welcoming. The breakfast choices are plentiful and always fresh. We are always impressed with the rooms as well. In the past we stayed in a suite but this time due to availability we we were in a king standard room. It’s incredible! It’s large, well appointed, lots of closet space, wonderful desk and counter space, small fridge, and best of all the most comfortable bed making all 10 of our nights here even more wonderful.. Love the fluffy down pillows I had requested as well. Super quiet as well. The bathroom is medium size for Italy which includes a nice size shower and vanity. All the products you need so you don’t have to bring anything from home. This is why we continue to come stay at this hotel when we want to enjoy this beautiful city and the Tuscan countryside. The hotel also has a gym, bar and restaurant. This hotel is a true gem.

This hotel is located in a residential area not far from the train station. We did not have a car and used taxis to get around without any problems. It's a short ride to the Piazza del Campo; don't miss visiting the Piazza! The hotel grounds and pool are very pretty and we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. Our dinner at the hotel was very good and our upgraded room was clean, quiet and perfect. There were two large groups at the hotel, however, we never heard any noise and the dining staff was able to accommodate everyone during breakfast and dinner.

We visited in August. In spite of this the place did not feel crowded and was incredibly quiet due to location, to the staff efforts and to the very good manners of most guests. The rooms were very clean and the premises exceptionally well kept. The staff were helpful and friendly without being intrusive. The facilities beautiful and easy to access. The atmosphere was ideal for relaxing in the stifling heat of August. The nights were peaceful, the only sound being that of crickets.

BEAUTIFUL countryside with Italian cypress, wild rosemary, lush gardens and acres and acres of vineyards awaits you at Hotel Le Fontanelle. A picturesque landscape with lovely buildings inside and out. It's unclear if it was an old farm or nunnery that was converted into these pretty stone buildings through out the property. Each with lush greenery despite the dry land around. You are greeted upon arrival with a smile and overview of the hotel, room, restaurants and activities before escorted to your room. Everyone spoke perfect English. Pool was very inviting overlooking the valley where you can order lunch as well. Rooms well appointed with lovely decor - one had outside space. Spa services were fantastic, small gym and an inside pool as well. Dining was very good, but the hotel has another option for adults to stay a short drive up the road and Il Visibilio restaurant which was truly the best fine dining we have ever experienced and we are foodies! It was beyond exceptional. Overall Le Fontanelle was a very special place where you will make amazing memories.

Wow - the Hotel Le Fontanelle is an incredible place to stay in the Chianti region of Tuscany. The views are stunning and the hospitality is outstanding. It has an old world feel, but with modern amenities. The onsite restaurants are very good. Il Visibilio was an incredible experience. The breakfast, both the views and the food - were incredible. Also - the onsite winery, Vallepicciola, was really good. We had an awesome tour and tasting, and shipped back home wine. There is a lot to do on property, which is good especially if you don't have a rental car. I give Hotel Le Fontanelle my highest recommendation.

Friendly helpful staff, clean quiet comfortable rooms with extra pillows in the wardrobe, good wifi signal everywhere in the hotel as well as in the room. Lovely garden surrounds the hotel. The area is very tranquil. Not far from downtown, 1100 meters, about 15 minutes walking, or just 5 if take a taxi.

The structure is cozy, the breakfast is very varied and for all tastes. Our room was large and well cleaned. The receptionists are very friendly and attentive to requests. The breakfast staff are just as friendly

Nice big room. They gave me a balcony room. Front desk staff was a little over the top and asked me a lot of personal questions. I had a friend come by for breakfast and they called an asked if he was staying. I was sleeping and he left hours ago so I thought it was weird. I also declined maid service one day and then someone had come into my room and left towels in the bed so that kinda creeped me out. They didn’t leave enough toilet paper. And why leave it on the bed and not make the bed? $5 euros for a big towel to use which is kinda chintzy to charge your guests for a towel when you’re a spa hotel. Pool was very nice and heated to about 90 degrees so like a warm bath. The pool area was noisy though so it ruined the atmosphere. They should install speaker system with relaxing music to help guests relax more. I didn’t use the spa area as there was no jacuzzi only steam room and sauna. Breakfast was pretty good. Blood orange juice which I loved and the coffee was delicious. Wait staff was friendly and fast serving for the coffee: thanks for my waiter for his cheerful attitude and smile during my stay.

I can’t say enough about the amazing helpful, friendly staff. They made our special at so enjoyable. The hotel and surrounding hill sides are just beautiful. The only downside for us is we didn’t rent a car. So it is about a $25 cab ride from train station. There is a bus that goes right by, which we took on the day the drivers went on strike. That’s not the hotels fault at all, but it is difficult to do. The pool area was lovely and the food in the restaurant was delicious. This property is amazing. You will definitely enjoy your stay. We certainly did.

Centrally located in Tuscany near Siena right off the freeway. Excellent staff and service; greeted us with a smile and very helpful with telling us about places to visit in the area. Breakfast was absolutely the best we had among many hotels we stayed in Italy, in addition to standard breakfast items they have freshly squeezed orange juice, ham and cheese and eggs etc. Free wifi, parking, pool and spa are great too. Must have a car if you stay in this hotel as it is not walking distance to anything; which was perfect for us since we wanted to stay in a quit place away from touristy areas with traffic and parking problems but still be able to take day trips to all the best sightseeing spots in Tuscany. The hotel has a very modern design and cool style but unfortunately is showing signs of neglect on maintenance (mostly cosmetic around showers and pool areas) not a big deal considering the price range but just an observation. We would absolutely stay there again.

Firstly, it was the staff. The receptionist was extremely nice, always willing to help, and she made a mean cappuccino for breakfast. The first thing she did on arrival was to upgrade our room free of charge "since it was available", she was always prepared to answer our questions, and that coffee. The hotel had an unmistakable italian holiday vibe -- hard floor, traditional furnishing, no carpets, soft beds. The aircon was only adequate, definitely not up to American mall standard, but it did the job of making the otherwise scorching days bearable. Breakfast was excellent. Cappuccino was delicious, selections of pastry and cheeses were available (although at request, which was a bit odd), the rest was self service. The hotel covered breakfast better than a typical Italian does, that is for sure. Cleanlines was impeccable, the towels were excellent and the soap was top notch. I picked the hotel for its price and free parking. It was inexpensive and the parking was indeed free, but regarding everything else, my expectations were completely exceeded. Balcony was a nice touch, completely unexpected, yet thoroughly enjoyable. A bonus tip: a whole day parking at the Siena railway station garage costs just two euro, and an escalator then takes you to the centre level

Superb service with a smile! We arrived to check in and was offered a room with a view but will need to bring up the 5 heavy luggage up 27 steps or a room in the 1F that has no view and no steps. We were worried about the luggage and was leaning towards the room in 1F but Tony offered to bring all our bags up (and down during departure). So we took the room with view. The room was clean and had a beautiful panoramic view of Siena. A lush greenery and a view of the Duomo. We also get to do step exercise each time we go up and down the room😀 Breakfast was good with the usual cold cuts, cheese and other items. And the Hotel Duomo is right the middle of the city and is close to many great restaurant and local stores. There is good osteria in front of the hotel entrance. The driver booked by the hotel (Antonio) was very knowledgeable and engaging. Even gave us a discount after dropping us at Florence’s

The hotel was charming, in an excellent location, also quiet. The staff were always ready to help, courteous and friendly. The room was perfect. The breakfast - absolutely superb, with a lovely variety of fresh fruit, cereals, preserves, cheeses and meats, also cakes and pastries and - not forgetting the amazing local gastronomic delight that is panforte!

Amazing views from the rooms we had. They gave very good directions to get to the hotel, which was very helpful. They parked our car for us and brought it in the morning within 30 minutes. That made arriving by car very easy. I would book there again. The location was fabulous. There are a fair number of stairs that are unavailable, like going to breakfast and getting to rooms. The lift is available but only gets you so far before you have to take luggage up a flight of stairs. Not a problem for us but maybe would be for some. Breakfast and coffee was very good!

The staff was very good - nice and cordial, and made good restaurant recommendation. The room was quiet and very clean. The hotel's location is central within the walled city of Siena, Italy. The breakfast was adequate. Order the cafe latte rather than cafe Americano.

The 4-bed room is perfect for a family with 2 kids. Amazing view towards the dome, great breakfast and very friendly staff.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in a fantastic location in Siena. We were upgraded from a double room to a superior double room on arrival. Sara was so helpful and welcoming. The hotel is immaculately clean, modern and very tastefully decorated with up to date modern amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was fabulous. The fridge with complimentary water was replenished daily and very useful. There is a room downstairs with complimentary coffee making facilities if required. Breakfast is not included but is definitely not a problem at all, we enjoyed eating delicious pasties and drinking local coffee each morning in cafes very close by. We had a fabulous stay at this amazing hotel and could not of been happier with our choice. Thank you so much!

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, who went above and beyond to help, prior to and during our stay, assisting us with onward travel arrangements when transport services were interrupted, and going the extra mile to accommodate an early check-in when we arrived. The hotel is small, beautifully clean and comfortable, and is in the perfect location - quiet and safe, and an easy stroll to the lively centre. The design of the hotel - inside a tower - is clever and quirky (take a climb to the top of the tower for lovely views over the surrounding countryside). Highly recommend.

We loved Sara, our host and really felt she was caring for her guests. Always with a smile on her face she was ready to go above and beyond to help us with everything from a late check-in to finding us a taxi and helping us with tips for cafés and getting to other cities. The place was recently renovated and the choice of colours, lights and natural materials creates a cosy yet modern appearance. The location is in a quiet and safe area, close to historical center and Piazza del Campo and you can find nice cafés, gelaterias, pizzerias and bars on Via di Pantaneto. Local products cand be found at the Conad City supermarket with is just around the corrner. The nearby Basilica Santa Maria dei Servi is well worth a visit for its beautiful paintings and also for the nice view over the city.

We had a fantastic experience at Torre del Fuggisole! The location couldn’t be better right in the heart of Siena, making it easy to explore all the city’s charm on foot. A special mention goes to Sara, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She provided great local recommendations and even went out of her way to try and book a restaurant for us, which we really appreciated even though we didn't succeed with the booking. Our room was spotless, very modern, and the bed was extremely comfortable Highly recommend Torre del Fuggisole for anyone visiting Siena. Also the hotel has a terrace that can be used to have a drink and relax after a day of sightseeing. Now we have to come back for the Palio

We sincerely want to thank the owners of this cozy hotel! An incredible place where we still want to return. First of all, we arrived in Siena after 23.00, but the owner immediately contacted us and wrote all the necessary information, Wi-fi password and even more. The location is simply luxurious, the heart of Siena! We booked a room with a shared bathroom, but the owner nicely gave us a room with its own bathroom, it was very nice, after almost 3 days of the trip! The rooms are very clean, there is everything you need: towels, hair dryer, soap. There is a small supermarket 3 steps from the hotel, also the owners kindly told the place with delicious coffee and cornetto!) The style of the hotel is a cozy Italian classic, what we were looking for in Tuscany, come here, you will not regret it! The owners are just gold, Siena is a dream city, we wish you to come back here and stay here!!!!

I had just had another hotel cancel on me. So I was in a rush to book another on the same day as check in. Albergo tre Donzelle were so accommodating. Great location, 20 steps from Piazza del campo. Quieter than I imagined for being so central and the fan was a bonus. Only issue was the WiFi connection, but for 1 night it was a perfect stay. Clean rooms, friendly staff and great price. I would definitely stay again.

The staff were kind and courteous. When I had questions, they were happy to provide answers. Those suggestions were always good. The location is amazing. You are within a two-minute walk from the Campo. There is a great coffee shop at the end of the short block. The restaurants and sites are all a short walk from the location. The room was very clean with a new paint job and all that you need for a comfortable stay.

A prime location. So close to Piazza del Campo. Super-friendly staff, and we were kindly upgraded to a room with an en suite bathroom at no additional cost. There is a cosy common area with a vending machine and a coffee machine. There is also a Pam (supermarket) 10 seconds away, which is helpful for any essentials.

The location was perfect, everything we wanted to see in Siena was in walking distance. We booked an economy room and were pleasantly that it was quite spacious, the bed was large and comfortable and it was clean. The hotel was a perfect base for visiting family and sightseeing and the reception area is very attractive. The included breakfast had plenty of choice and was generous and varied although the dining room is quite crowded and the tables are close together. The staff were friendly and worked extremely hard, I would recommend more staff at breakfast as cutlery and plates ran out. Fresh coffee is available from the bar at breakfast which is much nicer than from the machine For a city centre hotel it was fairly quiet at night and we slept well, we had a garden view but also a side view of the hillside and city which was very nice. Was glad of the provided water in the minibar which wasn’t over expensive.

We booked a room w/very large terrace overlooking old Siena. The sun-drenched terrace was perfect for wine & cheese in the afternoon and pastries in the morning. The two new chaise lounges and two armchairs, plus small round table/2 chairs/umbrella, were all very comfortable and accommodated us well. The hotel is well-situated for sightseeing and multiple dining options are very handy. The hotel staff are helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. There were a variety of breakfast selections. It was wonderful to have on-site parking.

Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. We had one with a patio (highly recommend booking this type of room if available as the view over Siena is lovely and it a huge extra private space). The staff - front desk, housekeeping, breakfast attendants - were all amazing! Helpful, friendly, efficient. The common areas are also nice.

A fantastic hotel close to all of siena beautiful buildings churches and restaurants, the scenery around siena is breathtaking, the thing that stood out for me was the friendly staff, front desk maids and breakfast staff, the hotel is spotless, rooms very comfortable we paid for a balcony and wow it didn't disapoint great views of the city

All the staff were very helpful and pleasant during our short stay. The location of the Hotel was perfect to explore this lovely place. Complimentary breakfast was very filling and our room view was terrific, great helpful advice from Sonia in reception who was very professional throughout. Ottima la possibilita di avere il parcheggio gratuito in un posto come Siena dove altrimenti si spende circa 25 euro al giorno, oltre alla vicinanza a Porta Romana che consente in pochi minuti di essere al centro. Se non prendete almeno camera superior non avrete l'aria condizionata e comunque nel nostro caso, puntava direttamente sul letto (non proprio il massimo del comfort): Personale gentile e disponibile. Wifi con tre linee ma nessuna di queste esente da pecche, nonostante il reset da loro fatto (nella lobby funziona meglio). Possibilità di jacuzzi a pagamento. Lo consiglio, soprattutto se venite in macchina.

The room was clean and the bed super comfortable. I slept like a baby. The view outside is amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast outside with a view of the Tuscan countryside. Just perfect. I recommend.

I really liked this atmospheric hotel. The view from the terrace to the hills is beautiful, the air is fresh. Special thanks for the fact that breakfast was organized, although there was no such option when booking. Quiet peaceful place. The room was clean. The guests were calm, so I managed to get enough sleep, although the audibility in the room was good). The city center is within walking distance. The receptionists were very nice and responsive. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. If I'm in Siena again, I'll definitely stay here.

An easy to find location with well appointed parking spaces. The walk to the gate of Sienna is about 5 min, but to the piazza and Duomo was addl 15 min. A great alternative was the bus that stopped right infront of hotel. Room was spacious and clean, views from the window was a church and a taste of Tuscan countryside. Breakfast was substantial and served by a gracious staff. Check-in was a breeze. Reception was very helpful. Place was safe and there's a bonus acreage of gardens available for guests to stroll.

The hotel is in a restored historical building in a pastoral area with amazing views, the rooms we received were well equipped even though the floor was made of stone, it was heated and growling .outside it was raining and it was cold and the rooms were warm and pleasant, the beds were wide and comfortable some would say too soft, the bathroom was well equipped and warm. The breakfast was delicious and rich, if there were more vegetables in the it could be perfect in my opinion.we also had dinner in the hotel restaurant, a delicious meal.

Perfect location with uniquely Tuscan view from the outdoor seated area. You know you're arriving somewhere special when you turn off the road and drive up the cypress lined track with billows of white dust in your rear view mirror. Staff were both friendly and highly professional. Restaurant was excellent, if a little pricey. Breakfast room and food were exceptional.

The location is stunning, the views are breathtaking. The pool was so refreshing and they had an option to message foe bar food and snacks which was helpful. We had our room upgraded which was a lovely surprise, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and had everything we needed. The food/wine was outstanding along with good service. We drove and there was plenty of parking. Good location to go and explore the local areas

The location is fantastic for a quiet relaxing time with lovely panorama, and easy access to Sienna. I read other reviews before I arrived, and they mentioned how friendly and helpful the staff are, and this is so true. Given we only had a couple of days to explore, Roxana was so helpful and knowledgeable, giving us excellent advice on how to maximize our time, thank you! The restaurant has a lovely ambience and would be even better in the summer being able to eat outside overlooking the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, would have preferred a separate shower but we booked the last room anyway. The breakfast buffet was very good. Our risotto at the restaurant was fantastic.

Relais Le Macine di Stigliano is an absolute gem, perfectly nestled in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. The location is peaceful, picturesque, and a perfect base for exploring the region. Matilde was an exceptional host — warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived. She assisted with our bags, provided detailed local information, and gave us excellent recommendations, including a fantastic spot for Bistecca alla Fiorentina that we absolutely loved. The hospitality, setting, and service made our stay truly special. We felt so well taken care of and completely at ease. We would definitely go back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing Tuscan experience.

Where do I start? I really want to come back and stay for ever. The staff is amazing, we asked them about recommendations and help with planning our days and they made everything so so easy. The surroundings are breathtaking and you have everything you need witihin a 15minute car ride. You wake up to the sound of birds and the views are stunning from the Hotel! The hotel restaurant is a must, the food and the service is outstanding. Breakfast is also amazing, a big variety of things out but you can also order some more stuff. There is a beautiful pool but the weather wasn’t on our side while we were there so we couldn’t enjoy it. I am definitely coming back soon!

This place was incredible. We stayed for 2 nights. There are only 10 rooms on the property so it’s not packed with people. You can hardly tell anyone else is there. Short drives to fun activities. Breakfast is gourmet and original. The restaurant is super delicious. The staff is even better. It’s a very rustic feel, while being completely renovated on the inside. It’s a must stay if you want to stay in the countryside/tuscany.

The views were absolutely stunning and the surroundings were beautiful – a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming to our dog, who had a great time playing with their dog, Mallory. Special thanks to Matilde - she was wonderful and really made our stay special. The food was delicious. And don’t worry about the road – we made it just fine with our low-suspension car. Highly recommended!

Comfortable hotel with wonderful breakfast options and in an ideal location accessible to the city centre but in a quiet area. Five sets of nearby escalators run day and night Monday to Sunday for easy access to the higher level main city thoroughfare. We were always relaxed with no concerns over security when moving around the hotel area and the city. The hotel staff were always friendly and extremely helpful and kind. Nothing was too much.

The staff who greeted me on my arrival, Eliza, is the epitome of politeness. She was very helpful and welcoming. The room I was given was large and clean. The bedlinen was immaculate and smelled fresh and clean without that disinfected smell which hurts the nose. And the bed was just the right amount of consistency, neither hard nor soft which helps a lot for a good and restful sleep. The bathroom was also very clean and was provided with all the things you need. There were two toothbrush kit, shower cup box, a small bottle of intimate liquid soap and two other boxes I didn’t bother opening. There’s a supply of hand wash soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body soap…which is of rather good quality. And again the scent is very mild. Towels were for two people. Slippers were also provided. Room temperature is perfect. There’s a kettle with different kinds of teas, infusions, a pocket coffee and sugar. As well as one big bottled natural water As for breakfast, it had a variety of choices. Cold cuts, cheeses, hot dishes of eggs/bacon/sausages, a variety of croissants, cakes, cookies, sandwiches, fruits, yoghurts, cereals, juices and coffee and tea. It was well prepared for a balance and healthy, hearty choices.

The hotel is close to main tourist spots and has a bus station nearby which we used to travel outside Siena. The room was clean and aircon was quiet. Breakfast was great with good variety of cheese, ham, fruit and cakes. Bathroom amenities were also good and shower had strong fine jets. Very good value. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and multi lingual. The room was fairly basic in size but was what we expected from the photos and description. The bed was comfortable .The breakfast was great being a buffet style. The hotel was a little tired. The location was good, walking distance to main streets, central Piazza and Cathedral.

Hotel perfectly located if you are arriving/leaving by bus and an easy walk to everything. I had booked a balcony room and was delighted to be upgraded to a view across to the Duomo. Spectacular view day and night from the room. The staff were incredibly friendly.

Spent two nights here as part of our Rick Steves tour of Italy. Sienna was our favorite city and this hotel is a solid choice if you’re visiting the area. The rooms are large, clean and the beds comfortable, and the included morning breakfast is good. There’s a nice lobby and outside patio to enjoy. We were in room 4 with small balcony that was nice. My wife spotted what she thought was mold along both sides of the doors leading to the balcony which I reported to the front desk on checkout. Nice bathroom and room has safe, hot water maker and small fridge. In our room the WiFi was really bad so gave up on that but all in all very nice property. And staff were very friendly and helpful. This hotel is really unique with beautiful frescoes on the walls. The staff, especially the woman at the desk, were so friendly. The breakfast was delicious in a gorgeous restaurant with a beautiful sunroom. We ate dinner in the restaurant one night and it was very good with good service. Our room was quiet at night. Although outside the city walls, it is only a few minutes to walk to the Campo. There is also a nice grocery store half a block away, however, you can't picnic at the tables on the hotel grounds (forbidden) so we just ate in restaurants the whole time. We stayed 3 nights during The Palio. I would stay there again (this was our 2nd visit to Siena).

We were greeted very warmly by Lorenzo at reception. After he helped us to our room with our luggage and made sure everything was good, we asked him for some restaurant recommendations and he gave us two great options. He even called the restaurants and made reservations for us, and emailed us to communicate further details. He went above and beyond to help us. The room was updated since the last time we stayed at the hotel and the bathroom was clean and modern. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a good coffee machine making cappuccinos etc. we would happily stay here again!

The staff at this hotel are so friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located. The rooms are good although the twin room I had, had 2 steps inside the door before the bathroom up the the twin beds. There was no view, however, for one night that did not really matter. My son's room was good and had a lovely view just luck of the draw. The breakfast was good. I would stay here again and recommend it. The reception rooms are beautifully painted and smell amazing. Would love to find out what that scent was!!

Really beautiful hotel in a perfect location with friendly service. Good breakfast and lovely terraces plus gorgeous comfortable rooms in a renovated historic hotel. I picked this because some reviews said this hotel had more help and service whereas at some places in Sienna you WhatsApp to be left in and they was true, there is someone available at all hours, but what was amazing to me is I don’t think anyone we saw wasn’t smiling even the cleaning staff. We wish we’d had more time to stay, we loved it.

Nice room three minutes walk from Piazza del Campo. Helpful, friendly staff. Very clean, modern bath. Wonderful location to explore the center of Siena on foot. Italian breakfast was discounted at Bar Indipendenza at Via Delle Terme 9, a few doors away. Siena's train station is not easily walkable with luggage, but there is bus transport to within a few blocks of La Perla. The bus is across from the front of the train station and then downstairs.

I was very pleased with La Perla & would recommend it for anyone looking for accommodation in a PHENOMENAL historic location - basic, safe, clean accommodation that is affordable with wonderful staff who couldn't have been more helpful or kind. Here are some helpful hints: Reception is on the second level & you may have to climb even more stairs depending on which room you are assigned. If stairs are difficult for you, call ahead for help checking in as there is no lift. Also, be aware that there are no phones in the rooms. Our room was number 24 and the windows did open. We were towards the rear and didn't hear a bit of noise. The a/c worked well too. Cute bathroom! Fabulous free Internet connection. In short, I loved our stay at the Perla. It's a hidden gem -safe, clean and in the best location in town. Remember, this building is hundreds of years old so don't expect the Ritz. However, it was an honor & privilege having the opportunity to stay there.

Good and safe location and walking distance from sights. We caught the bus and it was about a 10 min walk from the bus station. For the price it's worth it. The reception lady was very nice and helpful with our questions and needs. She even helped carry my heavy bags to the room. Room is basic; a clean bed, a working toilet and shower. Small shower space but it works. The inside of hotel is clean and inviting as well. Better than it looked in pictures. Would recommend for a simple traveler who's looking to save money.

We loved our stay and the hotel. It's location is unbelievable and the piazza has coffee, food, restaurants, taxis, buses... The rooms are clean and well maintained and small because this is one of the one buildings that has been remodeled on the inside but is very old on the outside. The room have to be space efficient, but we spend hours looking out of our window watching the flow of the piazza. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It does not serve breakfast, but the coffee shop and market are within 40 yards.

The staff at the reception was really nice and welcoming. The room was large and tidy, with high ceilings and plenty of storage space. We were there on a warm night and the fan above the bed really helped with the temperature. We didn't have breakfast but it was offered at an additional price of 5 euros, which I believe it's very convenient if one wanted to have breakfast there. Albergo Cannon D'Oro provided us with clear parking instructions and it was really easy to find free parking when we arrived.

Breakfast basic. Amazing location. Suited me fine it is simple with character. Don't expect modernity. Simple fan air conditioning. Basic telly. Good hot water. I got a high fever, they called an ambulance and I was admitted to hospital. They couldn't have been more helpful and kinder.

The hotel is in a quiet suburb about 10 minutes drive from the main tourist centre of Siena. There was adequate parking outside . The staff were helpful and friendly. We had a quiet room on the ground floor which was comfortable. The shower was great. Breakfast included a range of buffet items. If you have a car, this is a great place to stay as it is good value for money.

The staff were beyond kind and helpful. The room was clean and nice. The neighborhood was lovely with wonderful cafes and restaurant, it was about 20 min walk to the main square/ piazza which was enjoyable. It might not be very comfortable for the wheelchairs but taxis were easily available.

I absolutely loved my stay at this small hotel! Everything is well organized and functional. The room was spacious, quiet, and extremely clean. The front desk staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the magnificent city of Siena.

The Vittoria Design Hotel was spotless and beautifully maintained. Paula and the entire staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making my stay truly enjoyable. Everything was wonderful!

We liked the location as it was within easy walking distance to the town square and many places to eat as recommended by Phillipo who worked there. We found him full of local knowledge and gave us all the information that we needed. The view from the bedroom window was great and it was very quiet. The bed and pillow were so comfortable.

This is a delighful old family hotel in an amazing location - just 50 metres from The Piazza del Campo. It's not the height of luxury but it's simple, very clean and comfortable and the family who run it are extremely kind and hospitable. They also have a simple restaurant - ideal for when you don't want to venture out. But most of the time you will. Because Siena is the most wonderful city. If you're exploring this jewel The Locanda Garibaldi is ideal. Nowhere is more than half an hour's walk away and most places are less than ten minutes. If you want an unpretentious but comfortable base in Siena this is it. But don't hang about. Someone one day soon will no doubt take it over and bijoux it and prettify it and pretentious it up and another honest establishement will be lost to mammon. But not too soon I hope - I'm coming back!

The things I liked most about this albergo were the wonderful and helpful staff, and the location. It is literally steps from the amazing Piazza del Campo, which is a stunning and beautiful piazza. Out of the 15 places I've stayed so far on this trip, I had the best night's sleep here. I really enjoyed the lunch I had at the family-run restaurant...fresh, tasty, and very reasonably priced.

This was our second time at this albergo. The location is steps away from the Piazza il Campo, shops and restaurants. The bus station and a fun cooking school are walkable as well. This wonderful albergo also has a small restaurant offering home cooked meals that were delicious. This place is unique!

We loved this sweet, little, vintage hotel. It was steps away from the Campo. It also had a little restaurant that served lunch and dinner. The food was amazing! The hosts were friendly and helpful. We will definitely go there again.

The only bad part was that my stay was for a very short time. The courtyards are so beautiful. I will definitely plan to stay here in a near future

This hotel is a perfect place to stop for a restful night. The bed is super comfy and its exceptionally clean. The restaurant for dinner was lovely and the breakfast was fantastic with loads of choice. To add to that all the staff were reslly freindly and we could not have asked for more!

This stay was perfect. Location was out and alone but the property was safe and comfortable. Clean pool, nice breakfast and luxurious rooms. I would go back again in a minute! We all loved our stay here.

Very good hotel within a comfortable work of the medieval fortress village of Monteriggioni. Excellent restaurant and pool, clean and well-appointed rooms, and a staff that was friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended.

We decided to stay in Monteroni mostly because it was the right distance from our last stop walking the Via Francigena. We picked 1000 Miglia mainly because of the good reviews – although the hotel is a short distance out of the main part of town. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, and had a very nice terrace, overlooking rural fields. This was a pleasant change from the crowded cities we had stayed in recently. The owner offered to drive us downtown so we could get dinner – an offer we took them up on. They also offered to pick us up afterwards, but since it was only a 15 minute walk after all, we found our own way back. This is (I believe) a family owned establishment, and they are a very pleasant family. Highly recommended!

We stayed three nights and it was a very pleasing experience .The room was large and had a balcony to relax on after busy days seeing the surrounding beautiful areas.The breakfast was excellent and hotel was very clean and confortable. A true value !!!!!!!!!!!!! Vitorio and his wife were more than accomadating and took us several times to a great local restaurant and helped us arrange travel to other sites to see in Siena.All in all a great experience !!! We will be back !!

Hotel is quiet modern, but a bit out of town, but the owner brought me with his own car to the center and presented me a nice Restaurant, where I had good local food (they serve large portions, specially I recommend the pici in tomatoes (with a lot of garlic). Breakfast was included and rich.

The owner Vittorio was very helpful , kind and personable. He provided security for my bike and helped me with my Italian. The rooms were very comfortable and modern.

It was clean, modern, comfortable, conveniently located next to a supermarket and not too far off from the Via Francigena.

We had dinner at the castle down the road for an experience and when we returned we had a night cap with the team.

Excellent location for a hotel and restaurant, surrounded by vignards and with nice panoramic view on the hills of Tuscany. Very friendly staff. Delicious homemade food with local products, modern and tasty cuisine served with style. Winelovers will love this place. Room was very comfortable and clean.

The air conditioning was excellent. The weather was very hot when we stayed but our room was always cool and we were very comfortable, especially at night. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh croissants and a nice plate of cold meats and cheeses. Free on-site car parking was a real bonus.

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful hotel in Toscana, nestled right in the middle of a vineyard. The setting was simply stunning, and the food was truly exceptional — the bistecca Fiorentina was easily my favorite! The location is perfect, close to everything you’d want to explore in the area. Most importantly, the staff made us feel completely at home with their warmth and hospitality.

Really nice hotel just 20 minutes away from Siena. The staff was excellent, always nice and helpful! Rooms are big and spacious overlooking the wine yards. Bonus the lovely

The Hotel was easy to find, and located less than a mile from the historic center. Parking is provided behind the Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and faced out over the garden area at the rear of the Hotel; the en suite bathroom was clean and modern. The Hotel has an elevator. The WiFi functioned perfectly. The buffet breakfast consisted of various cereals, bread, pastries, yogurts, fresh fruit, sliced cheese and meat, juices, coffee, tea, milk. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful, and spoke English; Reda, who greeted us, practically escorted us to the bus stop for our trip up to the city. To visit Siena with a car, a pay parking lot with hourly charges is located about 3/4 mile just down the street and around the corner from the Hotel, but you must still walk up the hill. It is probably more convenient to take the public shuttle bus (Number 54), whose stop is about 50 meters from the Hotel's entrance; for less than 2 Euros (tickets available at the Tabacchi shop near the bus stop), the bus delivers you INTO the city.

Hotel was a fantastic deal for the price. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a nice man that quickly handled our reservation and let us into the room. The room had a charming Tuscan mural painted on the wall and a large comfortable bed. All linens were very clean, AC was cold, showers were hot. WIFI is free and worked great in the room. There is an impressive pool area for the guests with sunbathing chairs and a terrace for laying poolside. Breakfast in the morning was excellent with a nice array of selections. Free parking in back of hotel is convenient but there is limited space. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the Plaza del Campo. Wonderful hotel, we would stay again.

The bus stop (to take you up to the old town of Sienna) was literally two minutes from the hotel. There is information on the bus stop telling you when your bus is due. so you can go and wait in the hotel. (very scary exciting ride up and back to the town. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Comfortable bed. Shower (inside bath) very cleverly designed. Breakfast acceptable very helpful staff. Over all enjoyed our stay at interesting Siena. Pat and Ellert Meyer

The hotel was beautiful and the breakfast was wonderful. It is a bit far from the train station, but only 10 Euro in the taxi since we got in late, but the bus to the train the next morning was only 1,20 Euro. The bathroom was a great size with a full tub and the actual town of Siena was so amazing. It was a short walk to the escalators that bring you up to the piazza. We enjoyed a nice dinner in the piazza, when facing the tower it 's the furthest outdoor restaurant to the right, just on the corner before the first little street to the right of the tower building. They had delicious pizza and great service.

Check in and out very friendly. Very out dated hotel but is spotless clean. Breakfast is sweet variety but plenty of it. Pool area is a nice clean area with plenty of seats for guests. Good 15 minute walk to gates of Siena and no footpath on some of the road. Hotel is located on a busy road , we were on the 1st floor so very noisy from 7am onwards. Overall very reasonable price to pay while touring the area.
