I can select five stars because the elevators doesn't work the last three days as well as the jacuzzi doesn't work properly. Other things are ok.

Fantastic Hotel, it was clean, staff friendly, laid back feel. Breakfast was good quality too. Great base to travel and explore the lake, we went in summer and walked to the main hub of restaurants in South Lake Tahoe. Lovely hot drinks are available at any time. Laundrette on site was a life saver. The pool was clean and a good-sized, lovely seating area around the jacuzzi, too. The rooms were spacious, comfy beds, there was a fridge a microwave, grest for if we wanted a quiet night in. Overall, I am so happy with our choice and the staff made even more pleasant.

The location was convenient to Heavenly Valley Ski Resort, Lake Tahoe, and restaurants in the area. We expected an older, run down inn; but, were pleasantly surprised that this was up to Hilton standards with a clean, modern gym, modern lobby, breakfast area, and room. We enjoyed the heated indoor pool and hot jacuzzi as well as the fresh fruit, scones, scrambled/hard boiled egg options, wheat/white bread options, sausages, bacon, waffles, nuts, granola, and yogurt for breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe! Our suite was clean and very well-maintained, which made for a comfortable and relaxing experience. The location is perfect — within walking distance to the Heavenly Gondola ride, restaurants and shops. It was very easy to get around. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The amenities really made our stay special — the terrace and pool were clean and inviting, and we loved relaxing by the fire pit in front of the hotel in the evenings. We went the weekend of the 4th of July and we were able to watch the fireworks show from the hotel. There was also a DJ and live music, which we thoroughly enjoyed! The cocktails at the hotel bar were delicious. Overall, a fantastic experience — I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again!

We've been to SLT 10 times and have always stayed at Harvey's. Due to the remodeling there, we chose Margaritaville. It is an amazing place!!! Newly remodeled Embassy Suites with bright colors. So many positives: Double queen room is large with a separate sleeping area Convenient to many shops and restaurants Lobby bar - prices typical of a resort with live music some nights Very friendly and helpful staff. Quick to respond to minor lighting issue. Walk across the driveway to Harrah's Casino Landshark Restaurant with great happy hour! Outdoor seating available. Smaller size resort with convenient elevators and easy access to all facilities Indoor heated pool, large enough for actual swimming. Indoor hot tub. Adjacent outdoor patio. Very quiet and non-smoking! Easy entrance from Tahoe Blvd. Easy exit through back of property. Negative: No grab bar in tub/shower combination to help step out of the tub. The simple addition of one near the shampoo dispenser would be a quick fix. Other small negatives: Only valet parking with daily charge. Workers are quick to respond even during peak times. Dimmer wall switches for lights are a bit confusing at first. Highly, highly recommend this resort. We hope to return!!

I was pleased from the moment I stepped off of my shuttle bus from Reno. The ladies at the front desk were amazing. They helped me locate a nice place to eat while I waited for the room to be available. I was a tad early so I had to wait until 1 to check in. It was cool because they were a fun group to chat with. The breakfast was amazing. Friendly staff, clean eating area, and lots of variety to choose from to eat. The swimming pool was nice and friendly. Restaurants on the ground floor as well as a Super Cool Bar downstairs that was showing the NFL playoff games, The room was roomy and clean, and the view was excellent. I will be traveling here again in the future and I would suggest this place to anyone.

We stayed at Margaritaville Lake Tahoe on Saturday April 26th. I just wanted to say how wonderful of an experience we had!!!! The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was so friendly! I would like to personally shout out Ray in security and Veronica at the front desk. Ray helped us with an issue we had and he was so nice and friendly!!! He was so apologetic too. Veronica was so nice and accommodating; I appreciated her help as well! Again, everything was spotless and every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. You can’t beat the location! Right across the street from Harrah’s. We grabbed a quick coffee and breakfast sandwich in the coffee shop. It was delicious! We can’t wait to come back and visit!

We had an unforeseen personal problem that required changing the reservation. The front desk person (Calli) was exceptional in helping us solving the situation and providing a convenient solution to our entire satisfaction. The treatment was very friendly and highly professional with no excuses and completely satisfying responses in a short time. She even took time to help us extending the sofa bed and setting the heater. Above and beyond excellency. Clean facility, well equipped rooms. A completely pleasant stay.

My family loved the lodge specially the jacuzzi. They enjoyed it. Spacious. Had a full kitchen. The floors were dusty though and probably the kitchen needs new dishes. Overall loved it.

There are many rooms and bathrooms, so it was very good to travel with family. There was a billiard table and a jacuzzi, so I had a great time.

Booked the 3 Bedroom House and had a great time! Had a jacuzzi tub and pool table in a room. Staff were quick to respond to our needs. Propane/Charcoal were provided for grills, which was amazing! About two blocks down from Heavenly Ski Resort. Will definitely return! Thank you for your amazing hospitality!

We had a wonderful experience. Gary was amazing from the time of arrival to the time of departure. He was helpful, friendly, smiling and making us smile and laugh, offered help, and made us feel as if we were at home. The rooms were amazing and I felt safe with my family. The outside was clean and he was constantly cleaning the outside by sweeping and sanitizing all the tables and seats in the patio area outside our rooms. That made me feel completely safe and comfortable especially with this pandemic. I would recommend it for anyone with a family and rate it 10/10!!! We will definitely return here in the future. First off when you book be prepared for extra fees . It’s about $60 per day in Resort and parking fees. It’s pretty lame to put it in simple terms . Now for the Resort . We got a 1 bedroom room . We were very pleased with the room , kitchen and the bed was very comfortable. Shower pressure was great too . We also enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi . Besides the annoying fees we really enjoyed the resort and would definitely return

The hotel was clean and well-maintained, both in the room and throughout the facility. The front desk staff and restaurant service were attentive and efficient. The location is excellent—convenient for accessing Heavenly, the lake, and the main area with bars and restaurants, all just a few minutes away. One downside was the sales pitch for their time-shares, offered in exchange for free nights or other rewards. While I found it a bit inconvenient when I just wanted to settle into my room, the representative was polite and friendly. Parking is valet-only and costs around $28 per day. Although the wait for your car can take about 15 minutes, their texting system to request the car in advance is a helpful feature. Overall, this is a great option for a stay in Tahoe with convenient amenities and a prime location.

The room (we had 1 bd king suite) was very nice, spacious, good quality pull out sofa bed (unlike most out there) which was good given we had 4 people. Despite dishwasher was advertised, our particular room actually did not have it - not that it was critical for us, just a note. Hotel is big, so it's a longer walk from your room to somewhere else. We usually prefer self-parking but this option is not available unless you are a time share owner - I guess this was in description. We did use the pool and it has a nice configuration (half indoor half outdoor connected together), but the water was not super clean, especially on our second night. I wish pool had a view of the lake! Speaking of which, despite technically being on the lake, you cannot see it anywhere from the hotel, unless you are maybe on floor 4 or up. The onsite restaurant was absolutely dead when we tried to have dinner there on a Thu night. Quiet, a couple of other parties, and only a single employee was seen. She had us seated, and after a few minutes informed the kitchen was backed up and it would be at least an hour wait. We left. There are nice lively options just across the road, anywhere from nice and inexpensive to expensive with a great view of the lake.

It's a wonderful resort with lots of amenities, a short walk from ski run marina and beach. Restaurants and shopping centers are also close by. Check in was busy and little chaotic. We checked in around 4:30 PM but still the room was not ready. We had to wait for a few minutes. The room was nice and clean except the microwave. The microwave was dirty. The coffee was just like water, they need to change the coffee brand. Resort does not provide free coffee in the lobby. Concierge employes except Justin seemed kind of not knowledgeable about the pickup for dinner cruise. Resort fees and parking fees are excesive.

Great steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and outdoor pool!

Room is great. Parking takes time to go in and out because of allowing only valet, no self parking. Sauna and steam room is grear but no showering room in there. You have to go back to your room for shower. Pool and jacuzzi are small but functional. Didn't see any shower area around pool. Very windy at roof top so didn't play pickleball during stay.

Customer in/out facilities plan needs revamp: Access to heavenly gondola area should be accentuated and made more walk-friendly. Car valet and car access/ temp. parking for delivered cars area needs expanding. Jacuzzi is small and tucked in a corner, not pleasant at all. PROPERTY HAS HUGE UNUTILIZED POTENTIAL. Staff is great. Value is great but there is upward room in rates to make the above happen.

Property, front desk and valet parking were wonderful. Unfortunately no dining/bar available, housekeeping only came once in seven days. Alex parking only, but very friendly. No coffee bar available between Monday-Thursday, only drip coffee available no breakfast food available. Pool and Spa great.

Coffee bar only open on weekends, noisy construction, no restaurant or bar. everything else was great! Clean and staff very friendly!

They were out of most breakfast items until the truck delivered it on Thursday morning, (we checked in on Sunday) but it was a typical continental breakfast, with instant oatmeal, cold cereals, milk, coffee, teas, toast, English muffins, bagels, muffins, granola bars and apple slices. The rooms were pretty clean, roomy, and the bed was comfortable. We both loved the jet powered bathtub!! The room had a refrigerator, iron and ironing board, a tiny little coffee pot with coffee (we are coffee snobs, so we always bring our own coffee pot and coffee), and a blow dryer. There is not a microwave in the room, but they will let you use the one in the breakfast area whenever you want. The staff was so very friendly and accommodating!! Katrina was my favorite desk clerk!

The proximity to restaurants and the lake was superb. A quick walk to the beach or a bite to eat. The restaurant on the property was clean and the breakfast was ample. Many choices from fruit and yogurt to waffles, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and eggs. Good coffee topped it off. The beds were firm and everything was clean. The bathroom was wonderful with lots of hot water and water pressure in a new shower. Great towels too.

Perfect location in Heavenly Village for walking to shops, restaurants, breweries, the beach, and casinos. The room was very nice and comfortable. A nice breakfast was included and had many options. Has a tavern where breakfast was served, and you could get food and drinks in the evening. Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again.

Friendly/professional staff. Our room was not ready, so they upgraded our room to one that was ready for check-in . Location was what we were looking for. The breakfast buffet was very good. The room was very clean, and grounds were very well kept. I would return again.

The room was wonderful! Bed comfy and I was able to cast to the room TV…bonus! This is a pet friendly hotel in South Lake Tahoe so there’s not a ton high classness, but in terms of charming, hospitable, a local feel and all the warmth and magic of Tahoe, this place has it. It’s also located across from Heavenly Village so there’s tons to do, eat, shop for, etc. Great location! Just park at the hotel, get settled in, then walk around! Oh yeah, and amazing breakfast! It’s free, in the attached Hotel Becket restaurant, and has all the yummy stuff so many hotels no longer offer. We didn’t eat there for dinner but they gave us a a 25% discount coupon upon check in. Nice!

This was our first time visiting and we will return. The check in experience was annoying. When we got there around 1 pm were told our room wasn't ready and would call when it was- otherwise check in is at 4:00. Other customers were being checked in however. The actual check in was fine. I dis like the convenience of the wristband. We travel 3 weekends a month and this is the first time I have experienced this and would recommend all places use this technology. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a nice view of the back meadow. It was nice until the duck were being shot at by hunters. (Thanks for that 5 am wake up call.) on vacation, that is not how you want to be awaken. The restaurant left a lot to be desired and would not recommend that experience to anyone. Food was not great. No sauce dor the coconut shrimp, except tartar and cocktail - neither compliment coconut shrimp m. Service was slow. We were not at all attended to. No water refills and it was as if the waiter took our order and disappeared for over half an hour- we wondered if he also was cooking the food. There were only 4 parties in the restaurant and it took close to an hour for the food. We definitely won't eat there again. Service in the bar was fine as was the customer service in the marketplace. The springs were wonderful and the staff was great.

Our one-bedroom villa in the Dillon suites was spacious with all the amenities. There was a balcony overlooking a nature reserve with ducks and geese enjoying a nearby watershed. The unit came with free W/D, a gigantic bathroom with his-and-her sinks, plus soaking tub and walk-in shower. Comfortable furniture, plus a dual gas fireplace in living room and bedroom. The on-site restaurant is pleasant and the food was good. Also, the natural springs and spa area were a delightful treat for an afternoon soak and lounge outdoors. This was our second visit to this resort. We have stopped by the nearby town of Genoa on other occasions. It is an historical gem and worth taking in, but we did not go this time because it was the weekend of the annual Candy Dance, which currently brings in 30,000 visitors to the tiny town! The event goes back to an actual town dance that raised money for street lights around the turn of the previous century, and it's become a big deal. (We love a good country fair -- music, dancing, crafts, etc. -- but we were in a mood to simply enjoy some quiet relaxation.) The resort had a shuttle to the town, and I imagine many guests took advantage of that.

The staff are friendly and helpful. I was hesitant coming because of some bad reviews. They were all false. The spa is open to guests at no charge, they even let my service dog go with me. The room was modern, clean, had a fireplace, kitchen, and balcony. It was like a home away from home. The grounds are well cared for and picturesque. They have a dog walk that runs along a creek. They are dog friendly hotel. Also, a mile and a half walking path to the town of Genova. We enjoyed our stay and wii definitely be coming back.

The location and views are impressive! The room was very clean, great size, super comfortable bed and beautiful balcony! The hot springs were busy in the evening but so nice and a great way to spend your time there. During the morning hours they were much more enjoyable. The pool was also amazing.

Decent, but at a price that was more than I would have payed for a nicer, more spacious room at one of the casinos. The breakfast was good, and I liked the coffee and tea that was always available in the lobby. The only thing that irked me was what I would consider deceptive marketing on Expedia that makes it sound like this property is on the beach (and possibly a private one) or at least has beach access. I also found the many florid names suggesting that this is a luxury property (“Signature Collection by BW) rather laughable. This is a very basic and somewhat dated property on the bustling main drag of SLT near Stateline. It was adequate for our needs, but the boastful monikers (of which I encountered more that one, depending on where I looked online) were entirely out of place. The Expedia listing also says they have bicycles available for guests to use at no charge, when I was told on check in they haven’t for quite some time.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, just a short walk to the gondola. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with plenty of options like eggs, potatoes, bacon, waffles—hands down the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The staff was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. However, there are a couple of areas for improvement. The cleaning product they use (Fabuloso) leaves a very strong scent in the room, which can be overwhelming. I'm genuinely surprised at some of these reviews, given the wonderful stay we had at this hotel. Firstly, the decor is rustic as opposed to out dated (in my opinion) and created a great atmosphere in keeping with the local surroundings. The room was wonderful, lovely large beds, large rooms and our children loved the bunk beds. The toiletries in the shower smelled great and I loved the little touches like the wood clad sliding door and quartz counter top. I have no idea what was on the TV, we were constantly active so didn't use it. Reception were great, really helpful and even showed us some good places to visit while we were there. Breakfast was also nice, the porridge station was great, pastries fresh, nice cooked breakfast. All in all, I couldn't fault this place, particularly for the cost. Thanks BW for a wonderful stay.

The hotel was great! My only complaint was it was on a busy and very loud intersection.... but tempurpedic mattresses were amazing and so comfy, and the restaurant/bar was amazing. Dan makes incredible rumrunners, and we were content to hang out around the firepit with our dog, sip drinks and enjoy the night. 10 stars!

When I travel, clean, comfortable, updated rooms are my priority. We stayed in a handicap room because of necessity, and our experience was excellent. The room was very clean, housekeeping pays attention to very small details and presentation which I like. The continental breakfast had everything but waffles, but also had some of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve had in a while. From Skye at the reception desk upon check-in to our breakfast the next morning, this hotel was perfect for our needs. The person who also checked us out was very nice, but I didn’t get her name, unfortunately. One note: this hotel is actually a motel style Holiday Inn express. You check in at the main office then drive to your room. I normally do not like to do this, but at this hotel, it worked out great, because we were able to park right in front of our room and getting luggage in and out was a breeze. We had quite a hike to breakfast in the morning, so instead, we just drove up and parked by the office and had breakfast before departing. This hotel was also not far from restaurants and shopping. The room had a nice big comfortable chair along with a desk and fridge.

Great place away about 4 miles from the center of Lake Tahoe and around it very nice but not much of restaurants or stores The unit is good clean and comfortable not airconditioned and the windows they made it only open 4 inches and they say for safety reasons doesn’t make sense they have one portable fan and the temp was 80 degrees F so the first night we couldn't sleep and we thought of moving but they gave us a portable air conditioner and extra fan which made some better they dont have breakfast and their restaurant only serves lunch and dinner !! The staff are great and friendly and helpful the unit is comfortable except the lack of air condition and to get to the proporty is very confusing for that reason we don’t like to come back here and We like to stay down town there are a lot of fine hotels but we like lake tahoe we enjoyed the town

We stayed here in 2021 and decided to stay here again given the location and price was decent compared to other places given the room and breakfast. The room is a good size, although dated. There’s a small TV, as well as microwave, fridge and Keurig coffee machine. The king bed was on the firm side. They have feather pillows which I called to switch out ahead of time (they hadn’t, but did when I asked again when I got there). There’s a desk and chair as well as a sofa chair with ottoman, but it’s not the easiest to eat if 2 people are having take out in the room. You might be able to use the dining area in the lobby though. The bathroom was updated with dual vanity, plenty of counter space and a tub shower with decent water pressure. The pool and hot tub aren’t operational during the winter. The breakfast and dining area are good. There were a lot of breakfast options; yogurt, hard boiled eggs, breakfast sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, mini biscuit and gravy, bananas, orange, apples, cereal, toast, bagels, cinnamon buns. It can get crowded depending on when you go but there are trays to bring the food back to the room. Pros: location, size of room, Keurig coffee maker, good breakfast Cons: dated room, price, parking can get crowded

The hotel is centrally located on the main road in Stateline (California side). It is close to the lake and many restaurants. Interaction with the front desk staff at check in and check out were friendly and professional. We had a sizable two-room suite with two king beds, which is an unusual setup. It was good for a family of 4. We think there are two of these suites total at the property. The room was clean and functional with good lighting array and options. The bathroom had two sinks, a walk-in shower and a tub-based shower. One area that the bathroom could improve is to have a night light setting. Although the room was directly above a driveway / underpass linking the front and back parking lot, noise was not an issue. We enjoyed the heated pool and the hot tub, although there was a slight inconsistency on the posted hours v. the hours mentioned by the front desk staff. Breakfast buffet was good and in line with other Holiday Inn express hotels. We also appreciate that there is no extra charge for parking.

I liked that the suite was upstairs separated from all other rooms, so we had no neighbors above, below or on the side of us. And it was like a nice sized studio apartment with a lil kitchen n full size fridge and microwave. Also had a separate shower and jacuzzi soaker tub.

The room was beautiful and the jacuzzi was fantastic

I would give this place all 5 stars but the shower stall is so small I kept hitting my knees, elbows and foot every time I used it to shower. The jacuzzi was not clean but after I cleaned it the experience was better. I would recommend this place for a one night stay but no longer than that due to the cleanliness and the size of the shower stall. Lastly, our fire alarm kept going off for no apparent reason why disturbed our sleep. This place has great parking and walkable distance from the beach.

Got the room with the jacuzzi and it was awsome.

Pleasant check in experience with friendly front desk staff. Upon arrival room temperature was perfect to step in. Room was spotless and spacious. Beds were comfortable and shower pressure was just as we wanted. It was quiet specially at night and we slept like baby. It was really peaceful during morning we took a walk in the neighborhood and had breakfast at a local restaurant and walked back to hotel. We request a late check out and front desk accepted it without any extra fees.

The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with everything I needed for a cozy stay. The bed was comfy, the Wi-Fi worked great, and I loved having a mini-fridge and microwave. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, Big Pines Mountain House is a fantastic value for the area — clean, comfortable, and close to everything. I’ll definitely be coming back on my next Tahoe trip!

My mom and I recently had an emergency situation come up. And we found this motel near Stateline. When we got here we were emotional and exhausted and we literally collapsed for a few days. The staff here is incredible! They’re kind and accommodating and the couple that run the motel are gracious and caring and very good at their job. We’ve actually become friends. If anyone I know wants to come to Tahoe I will send them here. The beds are comfortable and I live with chronic pain. The rooms are big and clean. There are little fridges and microwaves so you can keep your food or leftovers fresh and they have nice televisions if those things are important to you. If you’re used to staying at a hotel or a luxury accommodation, this may not be the place for you. However, if you want a clean, comfortable and safe place to be. This is it!!! We actually stayed one night in another motel and we came back because we felt safe here. I just love the staff, as I stated and would not stay in another motel. There’s a pool and it’s family and pet friendly. Stay here… stay here! You’ll be happy you did

The room itself was clean ad cozy , with all the amenities we needed for a short trip top to Tahoe. The front desk guy was friendly and very helpful whole time. Very pleased with the room's makeover. Though The Trailhead is pet-friendly, there was no smell. The TV was HD. While there is a huge jacuzzi, it could not be filled up enough to cover the jets before the hot water ran out. I suggest removing the jacuzzi and instead have a kitchenette in that space, there is plenty of room and would seal the deal for further stays. The staff were very helpful.

This was a pretty good pick. The most important point is they took both Cats for a ~$20 fee and have exterior entrances. I liked the location as it was just a couple blocks past the center of town so it was quiet. It was still close enough to be able to walk to things. The hotel is rustic and well maintained, though the bathroom showed some age. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean, perhaps the cleanest hotel carpet I've ever seen. Good water pressure and thick towels added to the comfort. A continental breakfast is served at 8 which is late but coffee makers are available for the rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful wooded area across the street.

This hotel was exactly what me and my ladies needed with the cabin vibe for an affordable price during this crazy summer season. The staff made it the best stay with their high energy, helpful demeanor, and very friendly attitudes. They were awesome to say the least! Amy at the front desk was outstanding & amazingly friendly, Julian in maintenance was so sweet and helpful, and everyone there was so cool to talk to. We had a small electrical issue and they did all they could to fix it and make us comfortable. This may not be a 5 star hotel but they treat everyone live a 5 star guest! They are literally a 5 minute walk from Heavenly, the shops, food, movie theater, and even the ski lift! I loved and appreciated our stay here. Thank you for all the hospitality!

Stay here the end of Oct. Wasn't sure about it as we were coming in at night and the light on the sign was out. That being said, we checked in about 8 pm at night and the guy at the desk was very kind and helpful. Had called two days before and talked to a woman who was also very helpful. Both made me feel very comfortable staying there. Room was simple but clean. Everything worked fine. Cost was very reasonable. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this place if you're not looking for all the bells and whistles but just a place to get a good nights sleep. Also, wifi worked great.

The cottage was very spacious, the bed was very large and comfortable, there was jacuzzi and a large shower, the sofa in the living room was the most comfortable I ever had and the fire place was beautiful. Location was superb, in close proximity to everything and still away from the roads and noise.

Inside the apartment is very nice. It is clean and comfortable. We had a juacuzzi tube that was very good. The Jacuzzi tub is probably rated 1.5 people. Check in has clear directions. No office on site. What I did not like is the outside. The building needs a lot of work that I believe the owners are trying to do. They refurbished the insdes very nece and I am assuming they will complete the outside in the near future.

Property was cozy and cute. I’ve stayed at hotel suites and was concerned this property would be too small. It was perfect in size for functionality. The decor is warm and inviting. The room with bunks worked well for my daughter and her best friend. I hung a sheet up for privacy because there’s no door. The girls and my husband really liked the look and feel vs a hotel. The front door parking is very convenient. Location is 2-3 miles from restaurants which makes getting food easy. The highlight was roasting marshmallows out on the fire pit after dinner and enjoying the quiet evening. Mateo, on-site manager, was very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely return in the winter. I was in #14 and only complaint is, neighbor right next to me sharing entrance area kept going in and out, closing the door hard and talking loud. I could hear everything well until midnight. Other than that, lodge experience was great!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Me and my husband, can’t say enough good things about the place, from the accommodating service provided during reservation.. the check- in and check-out process were fast and smooth. To us the best part was the continued communication of the staff, they always engaged with you all the time. They respond to you right away. And of course, the room were nice ,clean and spacious with full of amenities from the kitchen and bathroom necessities.The bathtub was a plus it’s very relaxing. Overall, good customer service, clean room and highly recommended.

All the amenities in our room, coffee pot, mini fridge and microwave, were highly appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable. It was very quiet and peaceful.

The rooms have no a/c which is typical in an area where it's usually not needed. It had fans, coffee maker, mini-fridge and microwave. There was a shower, no tub. Rooms are well-maintained. A great pizza restaurant next door and a fancy restaurant across the street. They emailed my door code within 24 hours of checking in. Room is acceptable for those who will spend more time sightseeing than staying in. I had trouble with the plumbing, but they sent a plumber the very next day. That's quick. Management heard my concern and responded right away.

This is a motel that has been recently renovated and is in very good condition. It was spotless and met all of our expectations for cleanliness. The family that run it are very kind and friendly. The location is very convenient...you can walk 5 minutes to the lakeshore beach, or 3 minutes to the main street in town with lots of shops and restaurants (and the Heavenly gondola). Free snacks in room. Bathtub sparkling clean.

The inside of the room was clean and modern with beautiful fixtures. I was given a pass to access the local beach on Lake Tahoe. The location was perfect, and the surroundings were quiet. The owner was friendly and helpful.

The location was perfect. Right across the street from the heavenly village made it a prime spot. When we began our journey, we received a text the day of with the lockbox code to pick up our key cards. This was very efficient. When we entered the room it was very clean and comfortable. Even clean floors for when you get out of the shower and walk on the floor, I dislike having my feet get dirty instantly. ( That has happened at some hotels in other cities. Great view of the mountain from the lounge chair as well.

Beautiful property right in the heart of Heavenly Village with easy access to gondolas if you plan to snowboard/ski. We stayed in a one bedroom which was a great size, and included a full kitchen well stocked. The tub was huge and had great jets. My only two complaints are the bed was a bit too firm for my liking (didn’t feel like a true Marriott heavenly bed) and the fireplaces have a timer on them that go off after 30 mins. We also had an issue with housekeeping not bringing up a pack n play for several hours. It took 4 phone calls for it to finally arrive. Otherwise, great property in a great location and I highly recommend it for families. P.S. the pool is heated and the jacuzzi is running in the winter, even in the snow. Bring your suit to enjoy!

Lovely room, clean and comfortable with a great kitchenette. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice to relax downstairs on the sofas by the open fire. Excellent location with bars and restaurants on the doorstep.

Upon our arrival, we were immediately impressed when were able to check in well before the "written-in-stone" 4:00 check-in time. We were flabbergasted, for sure, as all the Marriott Vacation Club sites that we have visited have usually strictly adhered to that required 4:00 check-in time. We were quite pleased with our suite........enjoyed the two fireplaces in it. We found it to be very quiet, for the most part, too. Everything was well-cleaned and in proper working order. We were a bit disappointed that we had no washer/dryer combo in the room, but we were aware of that before we had booked. (We found the Laundry Room very easily and had the whole place to ourselves the morning we used it.) Many provided amenities/activities available....including a beautiful pool, Fitness Center, miniature golf, bungie trampoline, etc. The staff was friendly and very helpful in answering questions and recommending restaurant options, etc. The valet staff did an AMAZING job with dealing with the never-ending incoming/outgoing vehicles. A terrific location too! We were able to walk to most shops and restaurants during our stay. Hope to return here in the future!

I stayed at the Marriott Grand Residence Club for a week in January, and it was a relaxed experience away from the city. The property's location is great - it is in the center of the village, literally right next to gondolas, restaurants, shops, and gear storage. Everything is within a 5-minute walking distance, including a movie theater, Heavenly Village ice skating park, and ski rentals. The front office team was fantastic - special thanks to Gie, Kelsey, Jen, and Joey for going above and beyond to assist with room allocation and ensure a comfortable stay. The on-site concierge was also very helpful and provided valuable recommendations for dining and activities. The 1-bedroom suite I stayed in was comfortable and included a full kitchen, a cozy dining and living area, and a bedroom. I had relatives with young children staying at Edgewood Resort, only a 5-minute drive away. Overall, it was a comfortable winter getaway, and I had a wonderful time visiting relatives in Lake Tahoe.

We planned a last minute trip to Lake Tahoe for the July 4th long weekend and, as Tahoe hotels were too expensive or too shabby, chose this place. Glad we did. The hotel is in a fairly old building and looks underwhelming in the pictures. But inside is remodeled and the management has got it right. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Even the bathroom is more spacious and well laid out than the ones in 3 star hotels. The air conditioning is central and doesn't sound like an Amtrak train entering a tunnel in the middle of the night. Some have complained about noise from other rooms but was not an issue for us. Casino was right below our floor but not a ding from there. Occassionally we could hear if people talked outside our window, in the parking lot. Maybe they can soundproof the windows better? The restaurant has old style leather sofas, serves good food at very reasonable prices. Omlette coffee and toast for two cost just $30. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got a room upgrade just for asking nicely. There was an issue with billing but took a phone call lasting less than a minute to fix it. The place is about 30 minute drive from Heavenly resort but the route is pretty scenic. On the way back to the Bay area we took the 88 route up to Stockton, another scenic experience.

I was so pleasantly surprised with the Carson Valley Inn! I was in the area for a wedding and we chose this for convenience over anything else, but it honestly exceeded our expectations. As is any casino, it was very smokey everywhere, however, it was completely clean and clear in our non-smoking room. Our room was basic from a design aspect, but it was very clean. The AC worked wonderfully, the bed was surprisingly SUPER comfortable, and the shower had the most amazing shower pressure! The casino was very fun, and the drinks were SO cheap. It was lovely! The staff was (mostly) wonderful. They dont handle themselves under stress of a big check in (not for myself personally but noticed it when waiting to check in - but for all I know, the guest could have been the problem). But they had a convenient little "store" next to the front desk for drinks and snacks, check in and out was easy and quick, and they were very accommodating of our very late check in when we called ahead to let them know. I would definitely stay here again if I ever find myself in the area!

We had a great stay at the Carson Valley Inn. We especially appreciated the restaurant, Katie’s Kitchen. The service was amazing. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Cy and Tiffany gave us fantastic customer service. The pool was large, clean and at the perfect temperature. If you’re on a budget, stay in the motor lodge. But it you can afford the additional $40 stay in the main hotel. The rooms are remodeled and closer to the restaurant and pool. This hotel is a great alternative to the high priced summer lodging in Tahoe. Only 30 minutes over the ridge, and you can be at Nevada Beach.

Our stay was amazing. The property is clean, all of the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating - from the front desk to the restaurant staff to the custodians working at the pool to the housekeeping staff - everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We traveled with children and we felt extremely safe the entire time. We were able to walk to downtown Minden and CVI is extremely close to trails, bowling, Carson City, Geno and Tahoe. We ate at the steakhouse one night and we were so impressed - it was a great experience. Overall, it was a great stay!

Clean, quiet and safe. Modern bathroom, comfortable beds. Convenient real coffee just down the hall on the 1st floor. Love the free large parking lot. It is a casino so there is smoking in the area, but the room was smoke free so no smell at all.

I liked the warm pool and the Jacuzzi. The room was clean and had a lot of amenities. What made our stay was the coffee shop, free coffee and tea, and the amenities available for us and our dogs- I used the microwave in the kitchen and had s'mores at night.

The best part is the nightly smores - a great way to meet other guests and unwind. The kids loved it, along with the heated pool and jacuzzi. Free and plentiful parking. Free access to nearby private beach with discounts on chair and umbrella rentals.

Very close to all the amenities and nice big double queen room for our family. Jacuzzi and s’mores a bonus. Good kitchen facilities to make own food.

The hotel location was great! It was a short walk of drive to the Lakeside private beach. You can get a free voucher from the hotel each day to access the beach. It was close to Heavenly Village shopping center, the golf course, dining options, and casinos. The staff were very polite and friendly. We enjoyed using the outdoor pool and jacuzzi after long days. The s’more’s were nice too.

The overall experience was great. The staff were friendly and the amenities like S'mores at night and jacuzzi was perfect addition to the stay. Our building was a little off to the side and the construction going on during the stay was a bit disruptive. However, for the price and the quality, this hotel is definitely good.

The room size was comfortable for the two of us and our dog, had a well functioning half refrigerator, the bathroom was quite large with a Jacuzzi tub, a large shower and a heated floor and toilet seat and had a nice deck with two chaise lounges and side table and a good view of the lake.

The room was fantastic, with an in-room fireplace, balcony, glass shower, jacuzzi tub, mini-fridge and sink, and lots of space. The location was great, right next to the beach, with beach access for guests, and there was a shuttle available to take you anywhere nearby at a moment's notice. There was nice fruit-infused water in the lobby. Bikes were available at no cost, with helmets, to go anywhere further than the shuttle range. All of the staff were super friendly.

I’ve stayed at plenty of 5-star resorts around the world, but the staff at The Landing in South Lake Tahoe are truly in a league of their own. From the moment we arrived, every single team member was warm, genuine, and way beyond normal expectations to make us feel welcome. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and seem like they actually ENJOY their jobs — it’s rare to find service this good anymore. Our room was stunning — beautifully designed to scream Lake Tahoe. The heated bathroom floors and the fireplace added the perfect cozy touch. The large jacuzzi tub was absolutely heavenly, and yes, even the toilet seat was heated (which is a feature I didn’t know I needed until now!). Every part of our stay was exceptional — from the comfort of the room to the thoughtful service throughout the property, which includes a shuttle that will take you MOST places in South Tahoe. The Landing has become my new go-to in Lake Tahoe, and I can’t wait to come back. If you’re looking for true 5-star comfort with the kindest, most attentive staff you’ll ever meet, but also a laid back setting (not stuffy or pretentious like some) book this one!!!!

Overall wonderful! Close to beach (lake tahoe), hiking trai/park, and restaurants. Lodge came with a pool, work area/lounge in the lobby, free coffee /hot coco. Next door restaurant with balcony was wonderful too for bfast. Only complaint is shower was would not drain and it was a standup shower, was afraid it may flow over to rest of the floor in the room. Did notify the front as i heard other guest reporting same issue at check out...

Amazing inn. The service was excellent, it was super clean and so reasonable. Great location, awesome pool connected to a fabulous restaurant called Toulouse. The beds are comfortable, they have coffee pots and an apartment refrigerator. They also offer continental breakfast in the lobby. I love this place. Can’t wait to go back.

We were impressed with how quiet it was. The staff was great and attentive anytime we had a question. We stayed 7 nights & literally only moved our car two times because everything is so close & we were able to walk everywhere. The private beach at the lake was fantastic. There is a charge but the hotel gives discount vouchers. The pool area is great & was always pretty quiet during the day. Highly recommend reserving a poolside cabana. They give you a cooler of drinks to enjoy. And it was perfect to get “some” sun but be able to take cover. We would absolutely stay again

We needed a place to stay in South Lake for one night, while we had dinner at a friend's cabin. This proved to be a great spot. It is close to all the hustle and bustle, but tucked away, in a quiet spot, with an easy walk to the lake. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious brceakfast the next morning at Toulouse.

Fun place to stay in South Lake Tahoe! We stayed in a King Balcony room, 225 on the 2nd floor overlooking the parking lot and lobby deck. The room was very spacious and had all the necessary amenities. Loved the scents of the shower products. Very much enjoyed sitting on our balcony. The brewery area of the property is super fun. Loved that they had live music and a fire pit, cornhole, delicious food and tasty beer options. Parking is convenient too. Walking distance to a really nice private beach. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great location - 10 min walk from the gondola, and even closer to restaurants and bars. There is also a bar on site with decent snacks (just be careful some nights it gets very backed up in the kitchen). Friendly staff, really great sized rooms that have been done up to a great standard (so many of the other supposedly more upmarket hotels looked quite old and tired, basecamp felt very fresh and modern). Parking was also easy. The coffee bar in reception had a good and reasonable breakfast offering - fresh juices and smoothies as well as toasts and other things.

The check in experience was good, the front desk staff was very nice. This is a motel so it is unfair to compare the rooms to a hotel. If you are on a budget, I would probably stay here, but if you have a little extra money to spend something like the Hampton Inn might be a better option. Pros: The room was very clean, I was most impressed with the cleanliness. This is probably one of the better motels I've ever stayed in and I felt safe and comfortable. The beds were comfortable. There was a little coffee shop in the lobby that served a reasonably priced breakfast which was also very tasty. The location is pretty good walking distance to Heavenly and the lake; however the lake is a private beach you have to pay to go into so just make note of that. Cons: Parking... parking was very tight in the little parking lot they had, big trucks or SUVs definitely struggled and most parked on the street. Heating was another issue, if you go in the winter time, please be mindful to bring your own little heater for the bathroom, there is no heat in the bathroom so very cold after a shower. Then the heater for the main part of the room is an old school heater that is next to one of the beds, right at the head of the bed so whoever is sleeping there gets cooked all night while the 2nd bed is cold. The heater looked like it was still from the 80's or 90's so might be time to get those upgraded.

Negatives: rooms are small, and you can hear adjacent rooms (though not loud). You will live out of your suitcase as there is no dresser with any drawers. Expensive morning coffee in the lobby is $3.50/cup, but there is an instant coffee maker in the room. Positives: very clean rooms, after three days of no housekeeping, we requested another room servicing and they cheerfully provided it. Loved parking next to the room, made it easy. Very good bar attached to hotel, lobby cafe had good "grab and go" breakfast. Location is as good as it gets (ski lift, restaurants, shopping). Good water pressure in bath, good wi fi. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I will return.

This is an updated older motel. This means they got their pick of location! It's nicely far from the main drag [so quiet] but right near Stateline and other things--and near the Lake! Gotta say, the beach nearby is $25, so I didn't go [plenty of free beaches a short drive away]. The room was quiet, clean, and had an updated bathroom and bed. Great value. Regarding lighting, when you turn the light on at the door, the whole room lights up with a central fixture [unlike some other hotels that rely on feeble lamps spaced around the room for that "perpetual twilight" feel where you can't see to read].

A good stay. Typical motel where everything worked. Clean and efficient. The motel is near the main strip for restaurants. However the local Safeway to buy breakfast goods is a couple of miles away - need transport to get there. Motel is also a couple of blocks to beach. However beach here is paying.

Great Location. Friendly staff, ask for beach vouchers gave you 20$ off for beach enterence. They clean and organize room every day which is amazing . Walking area to everything. I would recommend to take bikes with you.

Beds were comfortable and the room was bigger than expected. Check-in was super easy. I really liked the neighborhood it was in. There’s lots of motels and you can walk to the beach. The pictures I attached her from the beach that’s just a few minutes walk from the motel. And if you get in the car, there’s plenty of restaurants and heavenly village is really close by. it’s not a super fancy hotel but for the price and a cheap place to stay it was way better than I expected. Will definitely stay again.

I loved the spa facility. However, you need to purchase a message or treatment to enjoy the steam room and the jacuzzi. You get 3 hours to enjoy the spa facility which includes snacks and tea in the common co-ed area, refreshing drinking water outside the steam room, lockers, showers, shampoo, hair dryers, hair gel, make up remover. We also enjoyed the outside heated swimming pool which includes an amazing jacuzzi. The hotel includes three restaurants. The food was good. Our room was quiet and comfortable. I also liked the glass of champagne provided at check-in and the hotel shuttle that brings anywhere within a 2-mile radius from the hotel.

Edgewood has been on my bucket list for some time. It is no wonder this hotel has a Michelin star - the grounds are absolutely stunning, met against an idyllic backdrop of lake and mountains. Wow! We enjoyed the two restaurants a great deal. Both are exquisite: one is an elevated sports bar overlooking the golf course and lake, with delicious fare. The second, the Bistro, a more refined experience with lovely cuts of meat and truffle-infused mashed potatoes. The service in both places is on point. Full stop. Our hotel room, however - we stayed in one of the lake view rooms - was highly disappointing: the furniture is clunky, outdated, and too-old for luxury comfort, the amenities are very scant - like embarrassingly scant - and the overall layout and aesthetic was just negelected. This is an example of bad design, textile selection, and layout. Conversely, the lobby and hotel grounds give lux, fashion, now, and have very very chic furniture - wow! We must also mention the pool and jacuzzi (the largest I've ever been in), the fireplaces, elegant fire pits and smores, & loungers. Again, just stunning. Our experience of Edgewood's lodging was not a luxurious one. Anyone who appreciates Belmond, Rosewood, Oberoi, Taj, and others will tell you that immediately. However, the hotel's grounds elevate the space to world-class standards, this much is true. But to say the hotel rooms are anything over 4-stars is unfair to bonafide 5-star lodging. Excellent for weddings & galas!

Another amazing stay at this fabulous resort! This is our 3rd visit and it never disappoints. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the location could not be better…right on the lake with all the amenities to make you feel at home. They have thought of everything…fun games and activities throughout the property, fire pits with comfortable seating, comfortable and convenient beach and pool lounging, fun and healthy complimentary breakfast snacks, just to name a few. The golf was fantastic as the course is absolutely breathtaking and well maintained. We never waited and got through the rounds in good time. The restaurant at the golf club is excellent, as are the other dining options. We had unbelievable culinary experiences at both the Bistro and the Edge. Food, drinks, and service were all exceptional! The room was perfect with amazing lake views and a nice balcony to enjoy the sunsets. The spa is a special sanctuary and services there were great! I can’t say enough about this wonderful resort….staff are all friendly professional and helpful. It is expensive, but it is an over the top, luxurious and exceptional experience to spend time at this incredible resort! We will be back…it becoming an annual trip for our anniversary. We usually try different places, but this is worth the repeat visits.

We had a short family getaway with our teenager the week following the celebrity golf tournament. It did not feel busy or crowded, the grounds and lobby were gorgeous and relaxing, our room accommodations (after getting a lake view upgrade at no additional cost at check-in!) were spacious and comfortable. One of the best rooms I’ve ever stayed in anywhere with lots of space for the three of us, closet and space for storage, extra large bathroom and of course the balcony with beautiful view. We had been wanting to stay here for some time and recently found a promotional rate on Priceline that was more in line with our budget that prompted us to make the visit. In the past we usually stay in North Tahoe. Food at the Bistro and pool were delicious, as were the complimentary breakfast bites and smores, staff was helpful and professional, and the shuttle service was an extra benefit we did not know about beforehand. Love that the activities are on property with private beach. It was a perfect stay with no complaints.

Rooms not giant but sufficient w all necessary amenities (minus coffee maker but free coffee morings in lobby and Starbucks across the street.

Great location, very convenient for skier to Hevenly. Walking distance to the Gondola and nearby restaurants. Friendly owner (Paul) offered us coffee even late in the afternoon. Room is clean although it’s a bit smaller but we didn’t mind because of the location and cleanliness.

It was a ski trip for us so the location was excellent since the resort was within a walkable distance from the inn. The management team was very friendly and helpful. Also, they let us park there in the morning before we checked in and the afternoon after we checked out which was really great. The room has a fridge and microwave oven which was convenient for us. It also included free coffee at the front desk area in the morning. All in all, it met all our needs for the purpose of trip and i would have rated a 5 star if not because of the cockroach running around on the headboard and the wall at night.

I gave this 4 stars because it was clean, very quiet, the bed was comfortable, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The pillows, though, meh. There were 4 on the bed and everyone of them was a thick, hard, small, rectangle.- and they weren't even standard size. There was nothing comfortable about them. You've been warned. As for the "breakfast",well... I don't eat a big breakfast but it was pretty bare bones. My husband was very disappointed. They had coffee, orange juice, grocery store type bagels, and apples. That was it. However, there are lots of places very close by to get food, coffee, etc. For the price, cleanliness, the staff, and location, I felt it was a good stay.

Love the shower pumps, lovely shower gel / shampoo / conditioner, bring your own lotion. Wish we had reserved 2 queen instead of 1 king. Loved the extra blankets!! Pillows are a bit flat, sinks were a bit high but nice double sink!! Nice microwave and refrigerator!! Nice parking and walking distance to lots of restaurants. Free wifi and absolutely loved they had oatmeal and apple at breakfast!! My boyfriend also enjoyed the bagels with cream cheese and fancy bagel toaster. And not just plain but also cinnamon raisin. Also since we left before the 8am breakfast start time on our checkout day, we were able to take oatmeal packets for our checkout AM breakfast!! Very nice room service replaced all towels!! Friendly front desk greeting for check in and just drop keys at slot outside office for checkout. Did not use the lakeside advantage, ended up doing early AM at Baldwin beach at 9am to beat the crowd (2nd Sunday in August.... gets overly crowded in PM!!!!)

The property was well maintained. Randell the manager was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The free coffee and bagels each morning were a great treat! It is close to everything but also quiet. I will definitely stay there again.

It’s a budget - for Tahoe! - motel. Nothing more nothing less. Clean, good beds, good water pressure, WiFi works well, friendly and helpful staff. A little worn around the edges. Not luxurious- what are you looking for? Stayed a couple nights and it was quiet and pleasant. Has guest laundry, modest breakfast. I really appreciated all the help staff provided when I showed up after a hard TRT hike. Ice and a sturdy bag to ice my legs, laundry detergent, etc. I’m giving 5 stars, for all the basics you’d expect, plus the kind staff. It’s all you need.

Excellent value for money during summer season: a comfortable place to stay within walking distance of Nevada Beach. Kitchen was basic, but well-equipped, clean, and functional. Dining room table and TV with DVD player were perfect for relaxing. Plenty of room for couple. Front desk staff were friendly and have DVDs to borrow for rainy days. During July, outside area had lots of flowers and clean, functioning grills by picnic tables (and nearby Safeway sells BBQ-ready skewers). Best part was that the unit faced trees/ forest and it was so peaceful and quiet.

Shops, Target, and restaurants were walking distance. The pool / jacuzzi area was huge and the gym facility had all the amenities. The locker room's shower was convenient to wash off the kids after a swim. Marriot allowed us to use the property while we waited for our room to be ready and after checkout.

Stayed in the comfortable 2 bedroom villa for 4 nights and had a relaxed stay. The staff was wonderful. In particular, Carissa from Front Desk is a true professional. During check-in, Carissa was so courteous and respectful, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure all the guests had a great stay. Not only did Carissa provide excellent guidance throughout the check-in process, recommended some great restaurants and sites to visit, she also assisted with locating a package that was sent from my office, and followed up with calls to the room to confirm the package was delivered by the hotel staff. Additionally, Marley from Guest Support/Front Office was also wonderful when she handled our phone queries with attention and care. The location of Marriott’s Timber Lodge was very convenient – easy walk to Van Sickle Park as well as restaurants at the Shops at Heavenly Village. The interior of the 2 bedroom suite (with connecting doors) offered adequate space for both adults and children, with warmly furnished ski-lodge style furniture, sufficient plugs for devices and phones, fairly comfortable beds with good quality liens, 2 fireplaces and convenient front-loading laundry appliances. All in all, after a work stop in Palo Alto, this was a wonderful stay for us to appreciate nature and the beauty of Lake Tahoe.

Adjacent to lots of bars/restaurants that do both breakfast and dinner. The room had a good size, and was comfortable and clean.

The facility is beautiful and well kept. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The staff are all professional and friendly. We will definitely stay again.

We booked a room at this hotel through Agoda for Thanksgiving. The hotel is right on the main thoroughfare, very easy to find, with nearby restaurants, nice park, and antique shopping. We did experience a very loud party/bar scene Thanksgiving Eve, who knew? To be fair, I couldn't really hear the music per se, but the subwoofer boom boom boom, and patrons here and there yelling, whistling, etc. Unfortunate for this hotel. Historic charm. Check out the lobby with clock collection and western Americana antiques. Large quiet room, 2nd floor with balcony overlooking main hwy, toward mountains. King bed very comfy. Front desk staff very pleasant, we arrived very LATE. Room was clean, has a combo heater fan, mini fridge. Well insulated, with door and window closed, could not hear highway noise right below. Breakfast was coffee and donuts. Yum. Perfect for stopover from Oregon to the Eastern Sierra.

It is very convenient to where we need to be, the parking is excellent and spacious, it’s near a park and restaurants and bars that are easily walked to and is very clean comfortable and feels very safe.

The rooms were very comfortable and just right to accommodate our family. The pool and hottub were a real treat and we especially appreciated the heated pool with the snow outside. Every staff member we encountered was super friendly and helpful. Our two dogs were made very welcome and that was much appreciated. Dinner in the on site restaurant was delicious!

First of all, we’d like to thank the staff @ Desolation hotel for making my belated birthday a delightful celebration! The balloons and the beautiful roses were just perfect! Room we stayed in had 3 floors: (garage; 1st floor with mini-kitchen, living room, 1/2 guest bath, and laundry; 2nd floor has the main bedroom and full bath, balcony with deep-soaking tub, outdoor heater and fireplace). Bedroom and bathroom have automatic skylights, which is so cool to gaze at. Bedroom closet includes 2 bathrobes and matching slippers. Hardwood floors throughout and safety gates by the stairs for kids and/or pets. Kitchen has everything you need - fridge with freezer, cute stove, full sized sink, dishwasher, dish ware, pots and pans, seasonings. 2 TVs (1 in living room and main bedroom with lots of channels!). Full bathroom includes a Dyson hairdryer and deep-soaking jacuzzi. Pet-friendly. Our Shih Tzu and Bichon loved it! Front desk staff and housekeepers were all excellent! Thanks again! Our only complaint was the dryer being too loud when in use. It sounded like the drum was unbalanced and in need of service. Also, my daughter had a difficult time sleeping in the sofa bed because it was hard like a rock. Even piling up on blankets to sleep on didn’t really help. Regardless, we loved our accommodations and we look forward to coming back soon.

Stayed at the Desolation Hotel in South Lake Tahoe and had a wonderful experience. The hotel's location is perfect, offering easy access to both the lake and nearby attractions. My room was beautifully designed, spacious, and impeccably clean, with comfortable furnishings that made for a restful stay. The staff were welcoming and attentive, providing excellent service throughout my visit. I also enjoyed the hotel's amenities, including a lovely pool and relaxing outdoor areas. Overall, the Desolation Hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, style, and excellent service—I highly recommend it and would gladly stay here again.

This past weekend was my second time staying at Desolation and can confirm it still sets the bar SO high! Each time I visit I’m more and more impressed. Cannot recommend it enough! So comfy, cozy, and dog friendly! Great for couples, families, or friend groups! The short 7 min walk to the casinos and heavenly is also a huge plus! Really enjoyed the pool this stay as well and the on-site restaurant, Maggie’s, never misses the mark! Always so delicious whether you’re dining for dinner or brunch!

ow! We knew it was an old motel that had been renovated, and assumed the age and price would still be reflective of as a budget friendly hotel. But thoroughly enjoyed the 1-bedroom suite, with updated full kitchen; full size stainless steel appliances, large stainless sink, glass tiled backsplash, well appointed table and silverware, and automatic dishwasher. Living area has a sofa, chair, dining table with 2 chairs, LG brand HD TV and console with DVD player; the hotel lobby has a large selection of DVDs. The bathroom was large and the finishes matched the kitchen; jetted tub and three lighting choices. The bedroom was large with a comfy king bed and a LG brand HD TV. Location was perfectly walkable to all the shops restaurants bars and casinos. Lakeside beach is also close by; walkable if you're not toting a bunch of beach gear. All in all, very happy with this hotel/motel/lodge.

The basic studio suite was very cozy. There was plenty of room for the three of us. The cooking area was adequate. It came supplied with plates, bowls, coffee cups, wine goblets , and sandwich plates. There was a blender and coffee maker along with a 2 burner cooktop. There were also several pots and pans. The dishwasher was quiet. Breakfast consisted of doughnuts, bananas, oranges, juice, coffee, and hard boiled eggs. The walls are a little thin. So if you have neighbors, you might hear them. You might consider earplugs.

We could tell when we arrived that the owner & employees take a lot of pride in their property. The grounds are beautiful! Unique flowering shrubs and flowers everywhere. Super clean and friendly staff. Very nice pool area. The room was clean and adequate. Being that the property is older, the bathroom is quite small. The bed was very comfortable, always a plus. Easy walk to restaurants casinos and the base of the Heavenly gondola. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and we will return.

Pros: Comfortable bed, decent shower Cons: no coffee in room yet there’s a coffee pot. For the early risers who want their caffeine at 5, you have to wait until 7 a.m. when the lobby serves coffee/tea/juice with a continental breakfast The walls are thin. You can hear everything!

Clean, in process of being upgraded but rooms are nice enough. Great location near beach, shops, restaurants. Quiet residencial area. Our room was quite small but I noticed most were much bigger. Biggest downside was no coffee in room.

A very nice older motel that has been renovated and kept up. Clean room and very nice clean beds in good condition. Front clerk was very nice and hospitable. Plenty of parking in a nice neighborhood and convenient to various restaurant's locations.

Room on the beach was lovely. Great view. Can get load when Tiki bar activities are going but didn't bug me as I was either out or at the tiki bar/on the beach at this time. Sideline pub was also nice. Jacuzzi was full of kids so didn't use it. But pool, beach and the lake was awesome. Walked to Heavily Village and back was nice and convenient. Was very clean with good friendly staff.

Jacuzzi was not working, would have loved to have one specially after skiing. Ice machine was broken and we had to walk to the other side of the building whenever we needed. Felt very inconvenient. However the staff was great, and loved the complementary marshmallow for the fire. You need to uber to Heavenly village, about 5 mins. But 30 minutes walk there.

We spent a week at the Beach Retreat and Lodge at Tahoe. We couldn't be happer with our time there. The best part of our stay: the views of Lake Tahoe from our room windows. We owe it to Sierrah and Nina at the front desk if we enjoyed a truly memorable week of breathtaking lake views. They were extremely helpful, gracious, and professional. In spite of our mistakenly booking through a third party, they were able to accommodate our request. Rooms are spotless, have nice balconies, and very comfortable beds. Coffee maker, tea and coffee are provided. Freshly ground coffee is available all day in the lobby. There is also a fridge, which comes in very handy, as a huge Safeway is across the street. We spent most of our days on the road or hiking in order to explore the amazing natural beauty of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains, but it was a true pleasure to return every evening to our room with a view. A suggestion for improvement: more storage space for clothing would be welcome.

THE PICS REALLY DONT TELL ALL THE STORY FOR THE PRICE YOU PAY, YOU CAN HAVE PETS FOR AN ADDITIONAL 15 DOLLARS. THE GYM IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST IVE SEEN. The location of the in is good! Just a few minutes away to walk at the beach and to nearby shops, cinema, bike rentals ,restaurants, and target. Rooms are spacious with refrigerators and microwaves. They serve good breakfast (make sure you're there early. Otherwise, you'll have no seating at their dining area). You can bring your breakfast to go in your room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free on-site parking, very good amenities like a nice gym, hot tub that will fit 3 to 4 people, and a decent size outdoor pool. They have a community laundry, soda vending machine ($1 per can of soda), and community kitchen, which I find it very useful for a long vacation so you can cook and prepare meals. My only comment is that the carpets by the halfways by the building across the main check-in smells like urine. I saw that they were taking care of it, but I wish that when we come back, it will be smelling good. I recommend this inn for its convenience and affordability. I will definitely come back.

The location is very good. It is close to beach, shopping, restaurants and casinos. The building is old. However, room is remodeled so it looks modern and clean. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is decent. There are testla chargers in the inn so it is convenient. I will stay here again.

This is a clean and comfortable, basic motel. The motor lodge is across the parking lot from the inn and restaurant, a five-minute walk. Everything works, the room is clean and bright, a little pricey but good, reliable quality and comfort. They now have new key fobs in place of the key cards that were not working. The restaurant is reasonable for breakfast.

The staff at the gas station convenience store were friendly and helpful. The store stocks interesting and useful items at reasonable prices. The main restaurant at the hotel is convenient with fast and friendly service.

Staff was very kind, free room upgrade so wouldn't have to walk to lodge in the cold. Housekeeping throurough and nice. Clean. Katys was the best! Exceptional food and staff. Spa and pool were clean. Smoking hotel but couldn't smell smoke. Overall exceptional

On first entering our room, it looked great; clean, spacious. Then we realized there were no towel racks, no toaster in the "full kitchen." The coffee maker had 4 plastic Keurig cups with a sign saying if we used them, we would be charged. But how much? To get real coffee, I had to drive to the casino, go up a floor and pay $2. The Motor Lodge has no management on duty. Our digital door key quit working, requiring us to again go to the casino registration office THREE TIMES to get a key that worked. So the CV Motor Lodge might be great if you choose to tolerate the inconveniences.

Amazing location with shopping and eateries throughout. Right at the gondola for easy access to the mountain. About 1 hour from Reno Airport. Clean and comfortable rooms. Adjoining kitchen suite with jacuzzi tub and pull out queen sofa bed. Full kitchen with toaster, coffee maker, pots pans plates and dishwasher. Free laundry. Complimentary kitchen soap and bathroom soaps and shampoos. Electric fire places in the family room and king suite. The room with 2 queens had a regular tub perfect for my parents. The king bed suite also had a jacuzzi. This is a must stay and I would definitely do it again.

The Grand Residence is South Lake Tahoe was originally- a residence, where one could purchase 12 weeks or more at a time. Now it's a Marriott time share, and it's a block away from their other timeshare, Timber Lodge. The Grand Residence has a pool, hot tube, and a surprisingly good work out room, but it's not a resort with a bar, restaurant, or daily activities. It's quiet. no music at the pool. The rooms are large, and the full kitchen has modern appliances and is well appointed. One can walk a block to multiple restaurants, to the Heavenly Gondola, and it's perhaps 3-4 blocks to the casinos.

Hands down one of the best if not the best hotel we’ve stayed at. The property was clean and the staff was amazing! I could not say enough nice things about how nice and helpful the staff was. If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would. It’s walkable distance to a beautiful hike as well as all the shops and dining. Will definitely be a go to when visiting Lake Tahoe.

Location, location, location! Right on the beach. Literally. Sweeping views of Lake Tahoe. Outdoor amenities include picnic tables, barbecues, beach volleyball, fire pit and swimming pool. Rooms are comfortable, with a kind of a cabin theme. Older strip mall next door features a ramen joint, Mexican restaurant and cannabis shop if that's your thing. Large CVS drugstore and Heidi's pies also. Supermarket less than half a mile away. Short easy drive to stateline and all the shops and restaurants in between. Live music on the beach Thursday nights during the summer. Bring your own food and drink, and have a great time.

This is an older property, but it is well maintained and clean. The size of the room was adequate and having a nice balcony with great views was a real plus. Being right on the beach of the lake is beautiful and it was perfectly located for our activities during our visit. The staff was very efficient and friendly. Would certainly stay here again.

We loved that the back door leads right to the beach. It is a family friendly place and it was so nice to be able to let the kids right outside our room. The pool and hot tub was very nice and clean. Everyone is super friendly. It was very nice to have a kitchen in the room so we could save some money on food. The room got a little warm because there is no AC, but there were fans. The pillows were not very comfy, would definitely bring pillows.

Amazing place on the beach, so close to heavenly, supermarkets and breakfast! Right on the beach..on the ground floor, open patio door and relax or walk 20 steps to the beach. Awesome find and vwry charming. Only downside was the "300 pound guest" on the floor above us doing swan lake at 1250am to 1:40am one night. There's no front desk after 9pm I think.

TRULY AMAZING! This is our first time to the Lake Tahoe destination and I booked this amazing Bed and Breakfast, due to it’s awesome view and quiet neighborhood. My husband and I were pleasantly greeted by both Barbara and Fred (the owners of this beautiful property). They provided excellent guidance as far as places to see and things to do. They also provided us with excellent restaurant recommendations. We felt very comfortable with them and enjoyed all of our conversations immensely. They are one of the nicest couples that you could ever wish to meet! We also enjoyed our visits with their 2 cute, little dogs-Dixie and Slurpie. We rented the section of the house which is called The Apartment. The view was fantastic from our room as well as the surrounding balcony upstairs. The place was very clean and very inviting. The interior and exterior of this beautiful home is truly unique! The rockery and the decor of the entire house is something to see, for sure! There are stained glass windows, beautiful furnishings, great art work and beautiful collections to take in. Also there are beautiful numerous plants throughout the house. The rockery work both inside and outside of the house is truly stunning. Everything was perfect for our 4 day getaway. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Lake Tahoe. We always try to stay in B&B when we travel. But lately it become a rare treat to find B&B. Location of B&B is on a top of hill with amazing view on Lake Tahoe. We enjoy sunset every day from a deck. The breakfast is big, a lot of choices of cold meat, cheese, bagels, eggs and sweets. The room and bathroom are spacious. The view from a room and bathroom on lake Tahoe is incredible. Barbara and Frank very helpful and fun to talk. They always make tea for us at night(we love tea and mentioned it to them) and load plate with cookies to go with tea. Two small dogs friendly and funny creatures. We got feeling that we visited our old friends.

This property has been owned by the couple since the 70's. The property is unique, quiet, and beautiful. The property is a labor of love, and Frederick built and designed most of it himself! Although my husband and i are not big breakfast eaters, both Frederick and Barbara made sure we we're comfortable and invited us for their homemade breakfast they provided daily. Our bed was super cozy and the veiw of South Tahoe was amazing! We got to enjoy a quiet neighborhood but we were only a couple miles from shopping, food, casinos, and hiking. The parking at the property was the easiest by far of all parking in Tahoe area. Frederick and Barbara are awesome hosts and the home they share with the public is just incredible, a real treasure.

We truly enjoyed our house hosts Barbara, Fred and their pups! We had the downstairs 2 rooms so we had a private entrance, balcony and bathroom. Balcony could use a cleaning but otherwise the view was beautiful! The shower is a step down into so be careful if you have limited mobility. The bed and couch are extra soft. The continental breakfast was great, danish breads, croissants, english muffins, hard boiled eggs, coffee and juice. Breakfast on the patio is highly recommended! It isnt walking distance to the lake but up a bit on the mountain. There was a microwave and fridge in the room.

This was such a great property and experience! Fred and Barbara were both amazing hosts and their B&B was beautiful! There was not a bad view to be seen from their house and it was so peaceful. We were thankful to have quiet after seeing some of the resorts along the lake. Parking is onsite and all the amenities are offered. They provided a lovely continental breakfast in the morning and Fred and Barbara were so interesting and engaging to talk with. We will definitely be back!

Great place! Had little activities every night such as wine hour and smores. Walkable to town and gondola. Staff very nice. -breakfast was so easy and convenient. Good kids room upstairs in lobby. A few smells around in stairwell and such from being older but nothing terrible. No dishwasher - no walkable grocery store but target opens next month and you can walk there! Elevator very small - only holds 3 but stairs super easy so not a problem. Easy walk to casinos and restaurants. We felt very safe! We would and want to come stay again!

This hotel was better than expected! Bonus hot breakfast daily, several free amenities varying daily including wine, hot chocolate bar, and s’mores. They have a fun game room for the kids with pool table, darts, and video games. Hot tub was hot and pool also heated, the kids went in winter, it was 20 degrees out. Very close walk to gondola and local restaurants/shops. We would stay here again. Rooms very nice, we were even unexpectedly upgraded from a 1 bedroom suite, to a 2 bedroom. The kids are asking to come and stay here next ski trip.

Great location!!! Kids had a blast! The suites were perfect sized and very comfortable. Getting to the gondola and village was the best part. Breakfast was convenient and well stocked. Pool and hot rob hit the spot. Fun evening planned activities. Like s’mores and ice cream sandwiches. We had a great time.

This was perfect stay for our weekend snowboarding trip. This place is very close / walkable to Casino’s, shopping and restaurants. Breakfast provided had good basic breakfast options. We stayed here 2 times already and will definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at Elevation Lodge during our recent visit to South Lake Tahoe. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very comfortable. The room which we got was clean and comfortable with amenities like TV, microwave and a working desk which came handy. The location was also very convenient close to many restaurants and stores.

Nice and clean accomodation with great amenities. Room was very clean and cozy. Check in was smooth , parking and Wi Fi was free. Bathroom was spotless and shower was great, I felt very relaxed due the peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. Neighborhood was safe and hotel had an excellent location.

They are friendly, quick to deliver fresh towels, bathroom supplies, take your trash etc. Older place but greet stay! Beds are comfortable and we found it to be quiet.

We were with a group of individuals, some stayed at the Harrah's (terrible experience) and one group stayed at The Lodge at Kingsbury Crossing. I cannot say enough about this property. At check-in Rose was so friendly and welcoming. She really made our day after the check-in ordeal we had at Harrah's. There is a game room area right off the lobby. The lobby does have a small breakfast area to pick up grab and go breakfast on certain days and a small lounge area. We had a 1 bedroom which had a table, sectional sofa w/pullout bed. The wall to the bedroom does not go all the way up, but it was not an issue for us at all. There is no air conditioning, again, not an issue. Just open the sliding door and the room cools down. There were also plenty of fans in the room if you do get too hot. We did get a chance to utilize the jacuzzi which is super big. Rose made sure she showed us where the showers were before entering. I understand the logic of showering first to keep the jacuzzi clean. We had a group bar-b-que on property, they had the perfect area with picnic tables and umbrellas to block the sun. Small Cons - I do wish the pool stayed open longer along with the game room area. Since it is all attached to the lobby, that area is closed when the front desk closes. I think it was around 6pm. We had children above us so lots of running and stomping. Ultimately - I would absolutely have no problem staying at this property again.

Great location beautiful scenery friendly fast service staff are accommodating polite and prompt. The property is very clean and maintained and the rooms are very spacious clean and have everything I needed central ac heat full fridge outstanding kitchenette with all utensils pots pans cookware included. It's very quiet which is perfect no loud partying or noise wonderful place and perfect vacation.

We found this to be a very nice property to stay in when visiting Lake Tahoe. The apartment is very nicely renovated and in a really nice quiet area. The bed was very comfortable, and the sofa bed had an extra thick cushion. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, coffee maker, toaster, etc. There is a grocery store just down the street, which was really convenient. The location is fantastic for getting to everything and we appreciated that parking is ample and always available when we returned. The staff at the front desk was great and they have a DVD library of movies. The only thing I did not like was that you have to pull off the sheets when you leave and throw them in the bathtub. I feel this should be done by the staff when they turn over the room after you depart. Lastly, I would not stay here in the summer months. It would be too hot without air conditioning. This property does not have air conditioning. When we stayed, the high was 70 and it was very comfortable, but anything warmer would not have been comfortable.

We loved our stay here! We stayed in April, and primarily wanted to do winter activities. The place was a 7-10 min drive from both Boulder lodge and stagecoach at Heavenly for snowboarding, it was so convenient! Also very close to Heavenly village, about 5 min drive. The actual room itself was great. We had room 31, which was a corner room, and we were told we had an extra window. Nice view of trees and greenery out the window! Loved the sectional couch (pulls out to bed, but we didn’t need to use it), the gas fireplace, tv with good channels (in both living room and bedroom!), double sinks in bathroom, nice hot water in shower, comfortable bed, ceiling fans in Both rooms. It was also really nice to have a stove, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. We saved a lot of money cooking dinners! Stocked with essentials as well—(coffee filters, utensils and plates, paper towels, dish soap). Service was great! We didn’t have a whole lot of contact with anyone. The woman who checked us in was super friendly. Arranging for late check in was also a breeze, they were very accommodating! Can’t wait to come back here !

There’s 1 designated parking and a lot of shops and groceries close by. The Lake is a 10 min drive. We brought a little hibachi grill that we used on our deck and or dog had a tiny back yard to prance in. The bed was firm and pleasantly comfortable. The only thing was the shower was small but good enough. I would totally stay here again.

A cute little cottage, very good location, close to the main road, yet quiet. Close to restaurants and shopping, and about 5 miles to Heavenly. Cottage was clean, I had made a special request for good cleaning after reading some of the reviews. Lots of room to store belongings. Cottage was well insulated, so held the heat well. Kitchen had enough cooking utensils. Clean beds, clean towels. Enough beds for the 4 of us.

I loved this little gem of a cabin. I am an avid camper and backpacker so this was glamping for us. I do not need to many amenities to keep me happy. Overall, we were super excited when we walked in. Perfect location in the trees. We were right next to Snowshoe Thompson's to rent XC skis and about 10 mins from Fallen Leaf and Richardson Camp to XC Ski. Douglas was awesome with communication and was awesome about extending our stay regarding the storm. There is Wi-Fi and it can be spotty, but let's face it... You are here to detach and enjoy the beauty of South Lake Tahoe. So I have zero complaints in that regard. We had a futon, bedroom and loft upstairs with 2 twin beds. Plenty of room for the 3 of us and small kitchen with everything we needed. There is a Raley's right down the street in case you need anything else. Bert's is also great for breakfast! I was some grateful for the kindness we received here from all the staff. This is my last year with my son before he goes off to college and it made it that much better! We had amazing snow adventures and cooked some great meals together while sitting next to the cozy fire.

This cabin was amazing in location and size. My husband and I brought our three daughters ages 16,15, and 9 and it was perfect. It was quaint and comfortable. The location is in perfect distance to just about everything you would want!! Communication was also great and check in was a breeze. We will definitely be coming back here.

This place was amazing. The guy over the phone was so friendly and quick to respond to any concerns. The cabin, felt like home, everything so clean. The beds was so comfortable. My girls loved it too. Definitely will come back here.

I liked the fact that there weren't extra resort fees, parking was free, wi-fi was included, the rooms were large and the kitchen had everything needed for a convenient stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There was a lot of room. We brought four bikes with new tires and stored them inside, used them right before leaving and put them on the car rack so we would not get the room dirty. The hotel is a 3-5 minute easy walk from Raley's Supermarket and Heavenly Village. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. It was very convenient for families. It also made it easy being on Pioneer Trail Street because the traffic is heavy on CA 50 and near Heavenly Village. If you like to be away from the crowd but still close enough to go visit it on your terms, this place is ideal. The downside to it for us were: 1. The office is closed 8 pm to 8 am. We arrived after 9 pm and luckily had called the office to let them know we were coning in late. They gave us the lock combo for the late arrivals where keys are kept. I wonder what I would have done if we had not called???! 2. There is no safe at all, not in the room, not in the office. I was given a key to the ski lockers but those were so flimsy. Come on guys, add a safe for electronics, it's 2021. 3. We were on the bottom floor and the tenants above us were walking around until midnight. Each step was audible and the thump thump was really annoyingly loud.

Cozy diamond in the rough. With proximity to lots of good places to eat and the beach, it was very easy to use the lodge as our home base. The rooms were cozy and well equipped with a small kitchenette and lots of appliances which made preparing meals in our room super easy. The rooms were clean and had a nice homey vibe.

The apt was perfect for two people. The bed was comfy, and even the sleepe sofas was decent! The kitchen was great for making coffee and breakfast on the morning, however, utensils and cookware are a little limited, so I wouldn’t plan on making gourmet meals, just small things to get you through. The hot tub was an unexpected surprise! I would stay again.

We were so happy with our stay. The location was great - convenient to downtown, quiet, safe off street parking. The unit was fantastic - big, well appointed, updated, comfortable. Internet was fast and reliable. We will try and stay here again the next time we are in South Lake Tahoe.

Nice place, close to everything. Quiet and peaceful. Loved my room with sitting area and breakfast nook. Kitchenette was fully stocked to prepare anything in the room. Very nice.

The Travel Inn was perfectly fine! It was clean, bed was comfortable, check in was simple and friendly. Sure it’s a bit dated, but clean and comfy! We saw reviews before securing our reservation saying the rooms didn’t have AC, we came prepared with a fan, but the room was already equipped with two fans and a heater. We got lucky with the weather being cooler, so We had no need for AC or heat. We sleep with a fan (year round) So this was perfect for us. (Our stay was Aug23)

PRO : Very good basic motel room, great location, good parking, very quiet, attentive management (I saw them walk around the property many times), safe, and super clean. We have been to several budget motels in the South Lake Tahoe area, and Travel Inn was exceptionally clean----#1. CON : The supplied bar soap was low grade----You might consider bringing your own soap. Otherwise, this is a great motel

It was an easy check in and personal were very friendly, the parkings were room specific. Very clean place and the room smelled clean as well (it was a non-smoking room). No A/C, but it wasn't needed because it was very cold outside, and the room stayed cool. Also, you can hear people outside, but that wasn't as big as an issue for me as it turned quiet very fast. For the price I loved the place and definitely staying again other time.

We had a room down by the beach. We stayed from Friday - Monday. There was live music in the afternoons on Friday-Sunday. You are right next to the beach and as such, we had a lot of traffic to/from the beach. It was very quiet overnight, but traffic started to the beach as soon as the sun came up. The room was OK. Bedding was clean, but the floors were very dirty. Like keep your shoes on dirty…. Check-in was great. Front desk was professional and helpful. If you want a room RIGHT ON THE BEACH, with with live music during the day, this is a good option. If you want clean floors and room amenities,

We stayed here 3 nights and the location is amazing. It is quiet and walking distance to beach. There is a cute ice cream shop across street and lots of eating options down the road as well as the grove on the beach property. I am from Texas and when I found out the hotel does not have air conditioning that was a little shock. But the lady at the front gave us an extra fan to put in window ( which helped a lot) We would definitely go back and try one of the cabins on property next time! Also they have free coffee (no breakfast) and a nice hot tub!

The drive into Lake Tahoe is absolutely beautiful! My husband says it's more ravishing with some snow but it was still beautiful:) Pulling up to our hotel, it was very nice and clean and the bell boy was awsome, thank you:) He was a grey headed, young man.. I'm sorry I didn't get his name! Thank you sir for helping us with our bags! When we reached our room, it was spacious and our view was beautiful. Cleaning was slightly off as there was a dirty sock in between the two beds. The bathroom was nice and clean. The television was a good size and my 1 year old enjoyed the options of cartoons available, thank you! We had dinner at the Cafe downstairs and the options of food was good. They even gave my 1 year old a kids menu that you could colour in, they also gave her crayons to keep her occupied. Just before checkout the next morning, we went to the Cafe again and this time for breakfast. Breakfast was enjoyable. Upon checkout, we went to get the car. As the husband waited for the valet to notice him, afew minutes had past and eventually the valet came to help him. He was busy being busy on his phone before realising there was someone waiting. Valet parking as it is, is 25USD daily. And fair to say, we did not tip him. With everything else it has to offer, we would definitely come back to Bally's, Lake Tahoe!

Property was neat, clean and in fair to good condition. Large clean room with really comfortable beds. Cabinet door was broken and sagging. Only 2 complaints. Lack of hot water in the shower (Luke warm at best). and no coffeeshop or restaurants open for breakfast. Grab and go available for coffee but no breakfast items available.

The bed, linens, etc were exceptional. Very comfortable and fresh. We had a very top floor room and the view out over the lake was amazing. The pool was quite nice and very refreshing. The shower was lovely and huge!

We really enjoyed our time at the hotel. The staff at the reception is very friendly and very helpful, they gave us a lot of great tips and recommendations. The room was great, very large, at the top floor and with an amazing view of Lake Tahoe. The casino is small but very nice. You actually have the time and space to play a table game, if you like that, and interact with the dealers. The location is great and still close to all the other nature attractions around Lake Tahoe. It was my first time at Lake Tahoe, and the hotel experience contributed to the fun we had there.

The property is right at the center of everything in village at the gondola - so prime location for skiing, shopping, dining, and just hanging out. The staff are extremely friendly and so helpful. Loved the jacuzzi and activities center. Looking forward to a visit in the summer, winter exceeded my expectations!

Overall and excellent stay! The location is perfect for anyone who wants a walkable Tahoe experience in the winter, and the heated pool and hot tub are a must when returning from a day on the mountain. What also really set this place apart was the little things like fresh popcorn in the lobby, a very friendly, helpful, and professional staff, and a small patio setup in front of every room. The unit itself was the perfect size and setup for a couple on a short to medium length getaway including a kitchenette, separated bedroom, and comfortable living room area.

Stardust Lodge was a real find! The location was perfect,just across the street from the Heavenly gondola and walking distance to all restaurants and shops. The room we stayed in was a Studio which had all amenties and was clean and up to date. There were activities every night ,free popcorn, and dvds. The staff were friendly and attentive. Also pet friendly. I would definitely recommend the Stardust Lodge!

Perfect walking distance to the gondola, all restaurants, and shops. We came in the winter and had ample parking space, perfect size room and mini kitchen to prep some meals. Everything was super clean and modern! The pool was in the 80s, loved being able to swim in winter. We look forward to coming in the summer time, too.

Older looking building but room was great. No AC, but provided additional fans to keep the room cool. Very family friendly with great staff. Room was very clean. Kitchenette was helpful since we stayed for a few days. Location was awesome, right near Stateline and across from Heavenly. Amenities listed on the website is huge in comparison to other hotels we stayed at. Overall, would stay again if in the area.

The proprietor was very friendly and is a hard worker...you can tell by the beautiful lawn! If youre looking for a clean no frills place, this is it!

I've stayed at High Country Lodge multiple times and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. The rooms are well maintained, comfortable and clean.

The view from the hotel is spectacular. The information I was given at the front desk was not up to date. I was notified that we had access to the building's jacuzzi, but it was not in service.

An Unforgettable Lake Tahoe Getaway! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently stayed at a resort in Lake Tahoe and truly had the best experience! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The natural beauty of the area was breathtaking, and the resort made sure every moment was filled with comfort, fun, and relaxation. We enjoyed so many activities—from swimming in the refreshing pools, large hot tubs, to hiking scenic trails with incredible views, and trying out just about every amenity offered. We played pickleball, basketball, mini golf, and more—it was impossible to get bored! Each activity was well-maintained and easy to access. The restaurant on-site was nice, offering delicious meals with great service and relaxing ambiance. Whether we were grabbing a casual lunch or enjoying a cozy dinner, the food never disappointed. What really made the experience stand out was the overall atmosphere and thoughtful details throughout the resort. It was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. I can’t recommend this resort enough for couples, families, or anyone looking for a memorable Lake Tahoe retreat. We’re already talking about when we can come back!

This hotel was so beautiful, with a nice view from the balcony to the mountains in front, snow falling and so adorable views. The rooms were big, confortable, with a sofa bed in one room and a bath tub in the other one, which was great for the kid, and they just have everything we needed! The kitchen with all necessary to cook a breakfast, and concecting with dining table and living room, the fire place so cozy and everything was perfect. When we arrived at midnight after long driving on traffic over the mountains, we had some troubles finding the front desk to check in and was so difficult to get up there beacuse was snowing so much and the road was completely white and slippery and driving up was not so good, we have to checked in with the security guard but once we were at our apartment, everything came perfect! Didn’t get the door code, so checking in was delayed for a couple of hours. But once we were in, the room was very spacious with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The bathroom was pretty standard, sink was nice. There was a small open closet to hang clothes, and an ironing board was provided. There was a small table and two chairs in the room to eat at, plus a little bar where the coffee maker was with two barstools to sit at. The room was furnished contemporarily. We both agreed it was the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept on! The room was very quiet. Best part was free parking and walking distance to the casinos, the beach, and Heavenly! Will definitely stay again!

Small, quiet, and easy experience. We checked in easily, small parking lot that was safe and comfortable to leave are car at to go walk around tahoe from lake ridge. Our room was very clean! So cozy and very modern and up to date. The only problem is that the walls are thin like people mention. We personally didn’t have any problems with our neighbors, and we were there in the room from 7pm -7am on a Saturday to Sunday morning. But you can definitely hear people, tvs, water running and other sounds at times. We genuinely loved our stay here, and we intend on staying here again when we return to Tahoe. The price was gray for the location and comfort it gave us for the day/ night

This was my first stay at the property and I am very happy that we decided to stay here. Good value with a big room with two queen beds. Room included fridge, microwave and coffee facilities. It also included bathroom toiletries. The location was very central, close to the Nevada border and with easy walking access to the Heavenly gondola area for shops and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Small 2 story motel with updated interior, tasteful furnishings and no carpet. The fridge has a separate freezer that kept our ice packs and breakfast sandwiches frozen. Beds were clean and comfortable. Being on the first floor we heard some creaking from the upstairs neighbors walking around and occasional rushing water but it was not disruptive. Walkable to the casinos and lake. Closest beach is private charging $30 for adults and $20 for kids but you can get vouchers from the motel for only $5 per person.

I recently stayed at the Paradice Motel in South Lake Tahoe, and it was an incredible experience! The location is perfect, just a short walk to the lake and close to all the major attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to provide recommendations and assist with any requests. I recommend Paradice Motel for anyone visiting South Lake Tahoe. It's a great value for the price and made my trip truly enjoyable!

This was the perfect one night getaway in South Lake. The location was awesome, bed was comfy, room was clean, and the check in process was easy. The owner was super friendly and provided discounted beach passes for the nearby beach as well as fresh coffee in the morning. 10/10 recommend for a night or two stay.

The proprietor was very helpful and friendly. She wasn't fully booked so she upgraded our room without me even asking. She let my friends park at the hotel during the day while we all skied Heavenly. She offered coffee in the morning and was very personable. Additionally, the room was clean and comfy. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent place! Close to the beach, the casinos, hiking, and the resort. Clean and comfortable, and probably the best value around. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The tickets you get for the private beach were an excellent bonus.

The location of the motel was A+. Close to Gondola and all the main restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. Had cable so I got to see NFL playoff game for a bit :-) Best was the service. The manager (maybe also owner) was super friendly. She let me check in very early since I drove in to go snowboarding. Walked to the gondola and got some boarding in. Some hot coffee waiting for me in the morning which I took in my flask for during snowboarding. I will stay here again.

Booked this room for my boyfriend and i for a snowboarding trip! It was perfect for us! We didn’t need much since it was only us 2 for 4 days so the single queen bed and bathroom was perfect. The only thing i wish is there was a jacuzzi like shown in the photos. Besides that VERY friendly and kind. I got chains stuck on my tire and the manager (i assume) helped us get them unstuck. Totally recommend for a couple.

This place is simply amazing. The staff is super friendly and kind. They even had a hot tub. My main goal is to have something close and convenient to the ski resort. This fits the bill and the value for price is one of the best I’ve ever had. The room is cute, cozy clean, and has everything you need. The shower had hot water and it came fast. The heater worked really really well. Nice towels and bedding and across the street from a ridiculously good pizza place. The instructions and check-in was super easy. I don’t know why people are complaining or leaving a bad review. It’s literally about a four or five minute walk at most but obviously you’re gonna drive there. I definitely recommend.

This was our first time visiting and we will return. The check in experience was annoying. When we got there around 1 pm were told our room wasn't ready and would call when it was- otherwise check in is at 4:00. Other customers were being checked in however. The actual check in was fine. I dis like the convenience of the wristband. We travel 3 weekends a month and this is the first time I have experienced this and would recommend all places use this technology. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a nice view of the back meadow. It was nice until the duck were being shot at by hunters. (Thanks for that 5 am wake up call.) on vacation, that is not how you want to be awaken. The restaurant left a lot to be desired and would not recommend that experience to anyone. Food was not great. No sauce dor the coconut shrimp, except tartar and cocktail - neither compliment coconut shrimp m. Service was slow. We were not at all attended to. No water refills and it was as if the waiter took our order and disappeared for over half an hour- we wondered if he also was cooking the food. There were only 4 parties in the restaurant and it took close to an hour for the food. We definitely won't eat there again. Service in the bar was fine as was the customer service in the marketplace. The springs were wonderful and the staff was great.

This property was a kind of Time share and did not have cleaning service to clean the room every day like other hotel, when I went to ask why the room cleaner did not clean the room and provide new clean towels, I was told cleaner would come once a week only, thereafter I requested a few towels, which were provided to us. Also, one coffee bag was provided while we stayed 4 nights. I think Hotel.com should let me know in the information sheet provided to me by email under confirmation email. Otherwise, Holiday Inn club was very nice, had professional receptionist and beautiful location. Fay Dean

Property was nice and had some good views. I enjoyed the walking path outside of the hotel. The studio room was okay, pretty standard besides the kitchenette. Would have been nice if the view wasn’t blocked by a tree. Would have given 5 stars if there was breakfast or even just coffee or water somewhere onsite.

Well-kept, spacious but slightly worn room. Very quiet in my top floor room, with wonderful wetlands views to the east of the property. Front desk staff very polite and attentive, as was the woman working in their little market. Grounds are well-maintained, and the walk from there to the town of Genoa is beautiful.

Enjoyed the spacious layout of the resort, felt more like home and less like a hotel. We went for the great hiking around nearby Fallen Leaf and Lake Tahoe and appreciated the hot soaks in the mineral pools. The unit was also spacious and comfortable with a great bed and everything we needed for the weekend. The nearby Genoa Bar had a great live band on Sunday afternoon. Only negative - mosquitoes when the wind dies down, bring bug spray.

Clean, comfortable and convenient. Basic Motel 6 type room, no frills. Looks like it was recently remodeled, new heater / air conditioning unit, new carpeting, etc. Very nice folks running the motel. Our room was away from the road and very quiet. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Beach access right across the street.

location was good. Woman at desk was super pleasant and friendly. Seemed to care about property. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Refrigerator was good sized and microwave were clean and in good working order. Other occupants were quiet. Biggest drawback was no air conditioner. Room was 10-20 degrees warmer than outside. They had a fan, but needed to move it for optimum performance. Noisy location, but not the fault of the hotel. Main thoroughfare rather busy. Would stay there again. Pricing was well worth it. Perfect for our one night stay.

The only reason I gave them a 3 stars is because the bed comforter since to be duty. It has a gross stain on it. I didn't complaint so I can really say that may or may not change it. The 2nd day of my stay, we found that the cleaning lady didn't change the towels, or make our bed. 3rd day we came at cross to another cleaning crew and we asked for them to clean the room. They did fix the bed and provided clean towels. The stain comforter was left there, even though was very obvious. Bathroom was clean, shower was excellent. The place was quite enough to get a good sleep.

Old hotel but remodeled and new carpet you can tell they try really hard to keep it up to date . Great water pressure in shower. Clean smelled good. Fridge and microwave too .Property was clean kept nice. Great price ! Amazing location close to all kinds of things especially the bakery with the flaky pastries and great jalapeno bread. The hotel staff are very nice people .

We have a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Elevation here in South Lake Tahoe during one of our recent trip to Tahoe. The property was a bit old but well maintained. Room we were assigned was spotless and very comfortable. There were amenities like Tv with multiple channel, iron , coffee maker , and a handy microwave for snacks. The behavior of staff was great and the location was very convenient, few minutes walk from beach and restaurants.

This is no frills but a Great location for skiers across from Gondola. Met all our needs and was clean. Comfy new beds and linens. Surprisingly quiet. Liked the cozy & quiet radiator for heat versus the usual noisy forced air units that turn on/off all night and dry you out. Room was warm & cozy at check in after a long day of skiing. Love the amenity of a large mini fridge and microwave and coffee maker. Hotel staff super friendly and accommodating. Let us park our car before check in and after check out so we could ski. The location was great (1 block away from Heavenly gondola), walking distance to restaurants, shops, movie theater, ice rink and all main attractions in the area. The room was simple yet comfortable, heater worked great (I stayed during winter), shower pressure was very good, room was spacious (I got the one witha King bed). Do not expect an impeccable clean room, it was not very clean (carpets had animal fur in the corners), pillows were thin (lucky we brought our own) and breakfast was coffee and cereal, very poor. It gets really busy during weekends, so for better rates stay during the week (10% of the weekend price). I'd recommend for couples that want an affordable motel close to main attractions.

We loved our stay here. The staff was friendly; the location is excellent! We were within walking distance to a lot of attractions. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our room had a big picture window that let in lots of light when we pulled the curtains back. We took advantage of the daily continental breakfast which offered a nice variety of items. We really liked that our stay here felt more like we were visiting a friend's home than a hotel. They provide the perfect amount of 'bells & whistles,' and they provide affordable, comfortable, clean rooms and great service. That's really all I need when traveling. I recommend this hotel for everyone!

The location is prime! Walk to everything. Including state hopping! No need to drive for food,bars,shopping. The room was very clean and comfortable. Comfortable bed which is important to us. The staff was EXCELLENT. Very sweet and friendly! Helpful, attentive. Love her

We have been to the hotel before and were happy to come back. The location is perfect close to the gondola, shops and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and care about the guests. The room was clean and comfortable and had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The heater was quick and efficient. Parking is plenty. Overall we had a very nice stay and will come back. Maybe we missed it but we did not see a trash bin for recycling.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst we did a quick visit to Tahoe, the room itself was beautiful, minimalist but modern. It had air con and a heater for the winter visitors. The check in was virtual we were given a code to open the key code padlock to get into the room, there was a beautiful area I it side with bbqs and patio heaters. We didn’t get any room service in the 2 nights we stayed there which was no issue as it was only 2 nights. We were given a code to get into the coming room for spare drinks and morning coffee. The only ‘issue’ was our code didn’t work the morning we left. So we were unable to get our coffee at 9am before leaving. Another very small thing was the floor was filthy all the time, we make a habit of always taking shoes off at the door wherever we go, our feet were always black from the floor, which was a little frustrating especially as we were very conscious that there were substantial charges if any of the linen was stained which heightened our awareness of dirty feet. Very quiet area and a short 2 block walk the beach. The private beach is beautiful but you pay a surcharge to use it. There was a voucher in our arrival hamper but the price would have still been $50 to access a beach.

Great Location & convenient to food & shopping. Some many unique & great perks about this place. A welcome basket of snacks was in the room for us, Beach passes which to our surprise we only had to pay $5 each instead of $25 each, coffee available 24/7 in the common area (as were additional snacks & soda), Bathroom was fantastic as it had a hand held shower (VERY NICE), room was clean & comfortable. ONLY one negative (and hence a 4 out of 5 star rating) . .the floors were dirty. My white socks were dirty every day. I did contact the owner about the issue. And she was quick to answer and seemed genuinely concerned to hear of my room issues. We worked things out. Hopefully on my next stay here, the floors will be clean and my rating will be 5 stars. Great Place.

We liked that Resthaven was close and very walkable to the village. The room felt cozy and safe after a day of skiing. Upon arrival to our room, we were pleased to find out the fire place was on. Was a great touch after a long drive from Los Angeles. The contactless check in was nice because we got in at 2am and did not need worry about anything. The communal area was an added bonus as well. It was nice to enjoy a cup of coffee and snacks in the morning before going skiing. Would want to visit in the summer to experience the communal outdoor area. We briefly met the property manager (Chris?) and he was extremely welcoming and kind. He made sure to ask if we were having a good time and let us know that if there’s anything we need we can reach out to him.

Very clean room with comfy bed and awesome helpful staff. If you want an affordable room near all the fun, this is it. But if, like we do, you like to hang in the room and play yatzee or read, maybe not. The room was small, and had a tiny table with metal chairs, like a balcony set. Outside area was good though.

For a one night stay it wasn’t a bad place to stay. Clean room, clean bed, small bathroom the tub was draining slowly though, mini fridge, small tv, nice heater. Very friendly staff. The place is within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, casino and heavenly gondola ride and ski resort a family fun activity.

I checked in easy quick and efficient, and there was no hidden crazy charges There was the one downside I rented this room mostly because I wanted a hot tub or a Jacuzzi tub in a bathtub to soak and cleanse and detox my body. And after checking in late the first night, the second day my bathtub was not a Jacuzzi tub like expected in the suite and my bathtub did not hold water as the drain piece was broken And their Jacuzzi was out of service at the time so there was that little issue but other than that everything else was amazing and the day was perfect

Beautiful rooms! We had a walk-in closet, a fully functional balcony a wall mounted flat screen, and an absolutely gorgeous room with a view of the mountains. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and the couch that faced the balcony was comfortable as well. I would have liked to have a TV in the sitting area as well, but that’s minor. The only problem is the AC did not work that well and all the fan did was push the hot air down from the ceiling. The staff was very friendly and the steakhouse was phenomenal. I was worried when we first got there because the hotel front entrance is under construction but once inside and in our room that changed completely. I was in town for a year competition for my daughter and having a nice quiet hotel and being able to sit out on the balcony with my coffee in the morning Before going to the glittery screaming loud competition was just what we needed! Coming back to the hotel at night to quiet with friendly staff, and a delicious steakhouse was also perfect! I would stay there again for sure

Great hotel. When we checked into our room we were upgraded to a room with a balcony. When we went to our room it was freezing (49’) with no heat. After calling the front desk we complained and they were moved us to another room. When we got to the new room the upgraded us to a HUGE suite with a sitting area, bar, great view of the mountain at NO extra charge to us. The room was AMAZING! 1st time away from kids in 2 years. We had a great time at the hotel, the restaurant there and bar. Definitely will go back there in the summer

An amazing property. I can only imagine the bad reviews were before the multi million dollar renovation, because the place was really nice. Wonderful room, comfy bed, friendly staff, was able to check in at 10 am for $40 which was very helpful. And they are making the pool area something spectacular. Casino had a nice vibe, more relaxing and enjoyable than Harrahs or Caesar's.

We had a great stay here. We stayed in room 1420 the room was nice and the view of the mountains from the wall to wall window was absolutely beautiful! The staff was friendly and very helpful. The facilities restaurants , bars, and casino was top notch. Our server Kelley at Park Prime was absolutely incredible and fantastic! She differently made our anniversary dinner the best and something we will remember!
