Our mid week stay was fantastic. We made the most of the indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, sauna and steam. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and restaurant staff were very attentive to make sure our needs were met.

The room was excellent, amazing sun terrace and personal jacuzzi very well maintained grounds. Loved the style of a sharing platter for breakfast and food in general was very well presented.

Beautiful hotel with lots of charm and character. Very hospitalble staff who know the meaning of hospitality. Quirky and interesting decor and art throughout. Comfy beds, warm, cosy and super quiet. Outdoor jacuzzi, indoor sauna and monsoon showers were great.

Beautiful location and fantastic grounds. We were blessed with good weather so able to enjoy the outdoor pool and jacuzzi overlooking lovely countryside. Staff were friendly helpful but bit intrusive. Food was excellent!

The main reason for giving 10/10 is the exceptional service received. Reception and the restaurant teams were absolutely faultless and had a really personal vibe. We would book again based on the experience & the fact they also went the extra mile for our pup! Also it’s rare to find outdoor jacuzzi pools that are actually warm enough so never change it, it makes all the difference at a spa :) also amazing food/chef.

The hotel is located in a beautiful estate. It has spacious gardens where you can sit and enjoy the tranquility. Our unit was well-sized and included two rooms which enabled us to stay together as a family while it didn’t feel crowded. The rooms were very clean, the beds are very comfortable. There were complementary tea, coffee and even yummy brownies! The heated pool is lovely as is the jacuzzi and they are open 12 hours which gives you lots of flexibility in terms of when you want to use them. The staff is friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast is delicious with lots of choice. We also booked dinner at the Olio restaurant which was delicious. The dining conservatory is gorgeous, overlooking the estate and surrounded by beautiful plants. We also did lovely walks, departing from the hotel by foot - highly recommended! (there’s a helpful booklet in the room with a map and suggested local walks).

The staff were really friendly & helpful, we were shown around upon arrival and our room was ready early! The room was beautiful, clean and had everything you could possibly need (including Smeg kettle & coffee machine). There were brownies in our room upon arrival which was a lovely gesture too! Bed was seriously comfy, we both had great nights sleep. The spa facilities are on the smaller side to some others we’ve been to but still perfectly useful with everything you could need: outdoor jacuzzi, outdoor swimming pool, indoor hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room & plenty of seating indoors/outdoor. The spa is also really well kept, tidy & clean. It is about 15 mins away from Bath so we tied our stay in with visiting Bath for the first time. There is also car parking which was great. An all round lovely experience, we couldn’t fault it!

Beautiful hotel with really comfy rooms. Massive bed that is so relaxing, large bathroom and sitting area. Spa was great, treatment very relaxing and amazing weather really helped! Reception staff superb, really helpful and friendly. Food for dinner and breakfast really good ... waiting staff for dinner a little eccentric which will polarise either way! Only dislikes were the old man style robes in room and must be the only luxury hotel where the flipflops are kept, cleaned and re-used. Overall a really relaxing stay and somewhere that you'd want to return

The perfect spot to enjoy a bit of luxury before a weekend of camping. Huge fans of everything here, the rooms are great to match the fantastic friendly service and fantastic food. We stayed in a Luxury Suite previously but went for a Garden Suite this time and can highly recommend both, although being in the grounds probably gets our winning vote. If we had anything to suggest it would be making the upstairs bar area a little more welcoming and cosy, it just felt a little too much like a temporary holding area. That said everything else was brilliant. Its great to see all the food being prepared and how proud everyone is of what they're doing. If you like little touches such as fresh milk and homemade cookies in your room, and being looked after with a genuine smile on top of everything else then this could be right up your street.

Gorgeous hotel, our room was superb - very spacious and comfortable. Huge comfortable bed and big bathroom with beautiful free standing bath and large powerful shower. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice on the menu and the staff were friendly and professional. Stayed for a treat on our last night on way home from holiday in Cornwall - wish we could have stayed longer!

There were so many plus points about this stay . 1 the accommodation is gorgeous masses of space and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches . 2 the staff are wonderful there super friendly and helpful . 3 The food we had lunch and breakfast was really tasty . There were a few issues which stopped us marking it perfect . 1 it was a warm day so we didn’t try the hot tub till the evening . There was no temp on it but it wasn’t very hot. It had hair in it seemed dirty . We also got bombarded with flies the minute we got in so only in it ten mins . We paid extra £40 for that so I would say not worth it . 2 We paid for breakfast included in the stay . We went at 9 and they had already run out of mushrooms . We also asked for toast but that didn’t materialise . 3 when checking out we were told we had a bill for £82 which we queried as breakfast was included and had paid our lunch bill separately and didn’t eat there in the evening due to it being quite pricy . They said that would sort it but felt very awkward as had paid upfront for the room . All in all it’s a beautiful place quite remote and a good 20 mins to any kind of beach or eating facilities but gorgeous accommodation .

The hotel exceeded our expectations, excellent reception staff friendly welcoming and efficient. We stayed in a garden room which was well equipped, clean and quiet, breakfast was very good. The only negative was the lack of options for dinner, if you do not want a 3 rosette dinner , the food on the night we ate was not 3 rosette. Such a shame that they do not offer a couple of simple dishes, if they had we would have eaten on each night of our stay.

The lodge was spacious very modern and very well maintained. The hot tub outside was a gem we arrived it was windy and raining but the hot tub stay very hot indeed even after staying in it for over 2 hours it was still hot. The huge bath tub inside is huge and is insulated. The whole room was a hidden gem in the country side. Staff was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast in the coach house was very nice. An open space with luxury at it's best. We will be staying here again in the near future.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst on a roadtrip holiday from Australia. On arrival met the host Louise who was very helpful and friendly, not only showing us our room, but also giving us helpful information. She gave us the bus timetable for number 2 bus to go straight into Bath which stops out the front. Louise also let us know of a nearby cafe that does great breakfast and coffee. Room was very comfortable for an enjoyable stay with plush bedding and everything you could possibly want….nice toiletries, even chocolate biscuits and alder berry drink. There were also multiple tea/coffee choices. Wifi worked well. Car parking is available free to guests at rear of property. We were lucky to be there on a Friday night when the bar is open and had a few drinks, meeting the lovely barmaid which we enjoyed chatting with. She also gave us helpful info for our day exploring the historic city centre. The actual bar/lounge area is great with lots of interesting things to look at. We were informed we could buy the fish and chips from across the corner and bring them back to eat in the lounge area and use the pubs plates, utensils etc so we did one night. A lovely stay at a lovely pub with great hosts. Would recommend to others wanting a nice pub stay in Bath.

Amazing Stay, Unforgettable Experience! We spent 2 days at this littlr hotel and every moment was fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly and helpful owner. The room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. The hotel's location is excellent, close to the city center (by bus) but situated in a quiet and peaceful area. Overall, the hotel exceeded all our expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and luxurious experience. We will definitely be returning!

The Forester and Flower Double room we stayed in was, Quirky, clean and very comfy. It’s situated on a roundabout but it wasn’t noisy, it’s quiet at night, the bed was really comfortable we slept so well. We had our own en suite which was ideal, tv and hot drinks in our room. Louise was friendly & very helpful giving us any information we needed. I recommend the local chip shop right next to the B&B and the hub at the far end of Mulberry Park for an all day breakfast. If you’re taking the number 2 bus to the city and back, get an all day ticket to save you money if you’re going to make a few trips. Bath is a beautiful city to explore and has a thriving nightlife of bars and restaurants. The B&B is a 10 minute bus ride away from the city, I recommend staying there, I would happily stay there again. Thank you Louise Flower. 🌺❤️

We arrived on Friday and were welcomed by the wonderful Sarah who showed us our amazing view and gave an excellent recommendation for dinner across the road at Seafood. We enjoyed the best fish and chips so far, in the pub with a beer and a great laugh. The room was perfect, the decorations a laugh, the shower hot, the bed comfortable, the little extras (biscuits, tea, coffee, snacks) generous and the room quiet. Parking around the back was easy to find and safe. We walked in and out of Bath from the room in less than 40 minutes.

The Forestor & Flower is a quirky little gem located in a quiet suburb of Bath only 10mins from city centre. Buses across the road every 20mins to avoid central traffic & parking issues. Comfortable quiet room. We had external private bathroom which was well appointed. Very friendly helpful host. There's a bar on the premises but only open Fridays. Plenty of parking nearby. Good breakfast at "the Hub" 2 mins down the road.

All great, just a shame you have to pay extra to use the sauna, jacuzzi etc and breakfast is expensive for two

This is the first time we have stayed in a IHG hotel and we left very impressed. We chose it for its excellent location. It’s next to the shops, restaurants and the cathedral. We had a corner suite which was very nice. Very quiet with lovely views of the cathedral. Room was spacious with lots of storage space. Room had both a kettle and coffee machine. Lots of teas and coffees provided as well as fresh milk and biscuits. Nice little fridge as well. Bed was very very comfortable. Bathroom was huge with both a tub and a large walk in shower. All the staff we met at reception and breakfast were friendly and helpful. We read some negative comments about the breakfasts but cannot understand why. Our experience was great. It’s a nice breakfast area. The buffet breakfast options were very good- fresh fruit and juices. Good quality breads and fresh pastries. Good choice of cereals and cold cuts. Coffee was very good. Cooked breakfast came very quickly and quality was high - we are very fussy about how our eggs are cooked and they were perfect! In all we had a very nice relaxing stay.

ocation: The property couldn’t be more central — right next to the cathedral and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and all main attractions. Accommodation: The hotel is beautifully decorated — spacious, elegant, and modern. Our room was comfortable and luxurious, a perfect retreat after a day spent exploring or dining out. Service: The staff were exceptionally polite, helpful, and kind. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and had reached out a couple of days before with a small request. The team went out of their way to accommodate it, which made our stay even more special and memorable. Spa: We booked the spa for a couple of hours and each enjoyed a relaxing back massage. Although the spa isn’t huge, there were only a few other guests using it, which made the experience calm and peaceful. Facilities include a sauna, steam room, hot tubs, and a fun interactive shower with different “weather” settings and temperatures to choose from. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommended!

Good but could be quite a bit better! The positive: Really lovely staff at the front desk and in the restaurant. Nice walkable location. Comfortable bed. Quirky and nice decor. Good coffee drinks at the restaurant. The needs improvement: Gosh, why can't there be hooks to hang the towels on? There's nowhere to put them! Restaurant: just not...very good. At a guess I'd say the quality of the raw ingredients isn't very good? I like the idea of ordering a hot breakfast but it only really works if the result is tasty. Which it never was. The "be advised if you're staying here": Our room overlooked a street where there was a busker playing for hours. This meant no peace and quiet during the day. Also, there was some really loud music til 11pm on Friday night - again - just useful to know. It is city centre, so that's for better and for worse. The "folks, you REALLY need to clean up your act": The spa, when I visited on Friday afternoon, was a disgrace. Used drinking glasses and towels everywhere. No clean towels available in the changing room. No fresh glasses for anyone wanting water (dangerous actually). No one monitoring the temperatures resulting in a steam room I'm pretty sure was dangerously hot. Some marks on one of the two hot tubs that looked suspiciously like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. All it would take is someone coming in every 20-30 minutes or so to have made it a better experience. Definitely not worth £35.

Excellent location, next to the shops and the cathedral. We had a corner suite which was fantastic. Great views of the cathedral. Very quite. Room was spacious, lovely walk in shower. Very good tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, plenty of storage space. Bed was very comfortable. Room was modern and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the breakfasts - buffet and cooked on offer. Breakfast service was fast and well prepared.

We had a fabulous stay at the St John Guest House in Weymouth. The guest house is well located, a short walk from the train station and close to the beach and restaurants, cafes etc. Our room was lovely – very clean and comfortable with an en-suite bathroom and kettle/mugs for tea/coffee etc. Breakfast is pre-ordered the day before at a time that works for you and cooked to order which was great. The food was delicious and plentiful. The owners, Lynn & Andy, are very welcoming and go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay and you can see why its award-winning! There is also a guest lounge available for use which was lovely. Weymouth itself has plenty to explore and great facilities for children. The beach is great for families and has good facilities and the summer fireworks evenings on the beach are a big hit with families from all over the area and visitors alike. St Johns Guest House is in a great location to use as a base for walking around the local area and exploring the Jurassic Coast. I’d highly recommend staying here and make the most of a staycation in the area. Will definitely book again.

Firstly want to say a massive thanks to Andy and Beyoncé 😉. We arrived down from Sandbach in Cheshire, a good 4/5 hours away and we were running late due to the traffic, really helpful and were brilliant about it! The B&B is in a brilliant location, situated perfectly, 5 minute walk to the seafront (and that was perfect for us). The room was great, all the amenities including a Fridge which is always appreciated when the weathers warm to keep the drinks cool! Large king size bed, presented beautifully, wonderfully clean and tidy. En-suite facilities with shower. Ideal! Water always ran warm (always a bug bear for me but was perfect ever time!). The breakfast is award winning! Presented beautifully, and tastes amazing! Nice selection of yoghurts, fruit, hot and cold beverages, croissants etc. But we elected for the full English and this was sensational! Highly recommended! 😊👍. Smoked Salmon and scrambled eggs was a special and the good lady absolutely loved this! Hopefully will be a choice when you stay. Andy and Lynn were exceptionally friendly and couldn't do enough, we really didn't want to check out this morning and we will certainly be back! We are already looking at coming back again in August 🏅.

We very much enjoyed our stay at St John's Guest House. Lynne & Andy were very friendly, helpful & accommodating throughout the booking & the stay. We were really impressed with our rooms, they were well equipped, immaculately clean, well maintained & best of all warm & cosy. The breakfast was hearty & delicious. It makes a good base, the onsite parking is handy & it's only a few minutes walk from the beach & promenade. We'll definitely be returning, it was great value, we were really impressed.

Everything! The room was lovely, well presented and clean. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, making you feel comfortable and relaxed. The breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and very delicious. Great location within walking distance of the beach, town and family activities. Both my son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely come again and recommend St John’s to our family and friends.

We had a lovely stay at at johns guest house, location was perfect, there was parking on the property which i imagine is quiet rare in the area, our room was lovely (room 3) bed was so comfortable and we slept like babies the room is also very clean and smelt lovely, there is a fridge in the room and we were given fresh milk for our tea which was great. Breakfast was absolutely lovely all cooked fresh and piping hot. St John’s guesthouse will definitely be our first choice when we return to Weymouth

Great location in the centre of town. Food at the restaurant was excellent. Friendly staff. Nice pool, jacuzzi and steam room. Private parking at the back of the hotel with decent sized car park. Good sized bedroom.

We booked a cottage with jacuzzi. It was brilliant for us. We had our dog, so we found the garden and easy access into town wonderful. We booked half board and really enjoyed our meal at the bistro . The staff there were wonderful with our daughter. I recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself is nice but maintenance has clearly been slipping over the last few years. The garden is beautiful but overgrown, we had a leak in the bathroom that could be seen from downstairs and the sofa in the restaurant looked ready to collapse and frankly dangerous. The spa pool was also looking tired but overall had a good feel about it. We were greeted by a receptionist who was cold and everything was clearly too much effort. She was verging on rude. Bar staff were slow and generally absent meaning long waits. The staff in the breakfast room and spa were the only ones taking any pride in their work and who seemed to put any effort in. They were friendly and restored some faith in our being welcome. You need to book in a time for breakfast and order hot food the night before. This would almost make sense if it was recorded so we didn’t all turn up at the same time which was the case in one of the mornings making booking a complete waste of time. The food for breakfast was mediocre and prevented us from staying in for dinner. Having said all of that we enjoyed our stay because we had a cottage with a private garden and hot tub. The hot tub was clean and worked well with no bad smells which is not always the case. The spa facilities were good and the staff there were friendly and helpful. There is a croquet lawn which was great fun although no one on reception ever knew where the set was up kept. Overall it felt like a hotel that needs some tlc.

Everything was perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and efficient and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The Spa and Bistro bar were great; the fact that you can use the spa facilities on check-out day was a great bonus ( at no extra charge). Our bed and bedding were super- comfortable, it was quiet and the gardens were lovely.

Wonderful staff, location and amenities. A really lovely hotel in a charming Cotswolds village. We paid extra for a superior room and it was very, very nice. Large room with a massive bathroom with bath and shower on the top floor. Extremely comfy large bed. Chaise lounge, desk for working, fireplace etc. Couldn't fault the room. Had 3 very good nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious, nice to be able to pre book the cooked breakfast in advance. Sonia the waitress stood out as being very personable and friendly. Dinner was incredible, we had 3 courses including the cote de boeuf with wine. No complaints at all. Staff very friendly and accommodating and helped my pregnant wife with her bags when we arrived. The spa was also very nice and relaxing, lovely hydrotherapy pool and steam room.

The room was lovely a little more care with house keeping detail needed. not told the the sauna was broken !. which was one of the point of staying at a spa hotel !. disapointed !. steam room ok again needs a clean !. jacuzzi freezing cold !. disapointing spa !. Restaurant food and staff outstanding and the young man behind the bar very very proffesional and outstanding. overall without the fully working spa exspensive !.

Great secluded, parkland location just outside of St Austell. Spacious and comfortable rooms with efficient air conditioning and balcony with comfy chairs and table. Good public areas with a sun terrace, dining room and welcoming bar. Good selection of hot and cold food at breakfast and reasonable selection of bar food. Afternoon Tea was outstanding and a very popular option. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and always attentive. Plenty of car parking space. Coffee shop, eat-in bakery, small supermarket and fast food stores a couple of minutes drive or 8-10 minutes walk away.

The property is in an idyllic location and is surrounded by well maintained gardens/land. We loved the way the Manor House has expanded into lodge style hotel accommodation - all of the rooms (I believe) are accessible internally and many have lift access. There is no need to go outside unless you’re heading to the spa. The superior double rooms were exceptionally spacious and had lovely balconies overlooking the gardens/main house. The room we were in was dog friendly, as we decided to bring our little dogs along for the trip. The cost per dog is very reasonable in comparison to other four star hotels at £15 a dog and they leave a lovely jar of biscuits for them to enjoy. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating - both on reception and the service staff. The food was also brilliant. We were quite impressed by the Thai Green Curry for dinner and the breakfast menu was great. You are also allowed to bring your dogs to meals, providing you sit in the Tea Room, the Bar or the terrace. The gym facilities are the best I’ve experienced in a four star hotel. The equipment is top tier and, in terms of cleanliness, it’s second to none. The spa was also hugely spacious with lovely gardens and a large pool. Great to have some adult only sessions but to also see that it is child friendly for the majority of the day.

We booked a deluxe room and was really pleased with the space. The balcony was a bonus as we had some lovely warm days and evening. Plus, the room was really warm so we benefitted from having the doors open when we were in the room. Overall it was very clean and we had no real problems. Location wise, the hotel is perfect if you are planning on walking the south west coast path. It was also great if you're happy to take the bus to neighbouring towns. If you want nightlife or resteraunts in walking distance, it's not the place for you. We ate at the resteraunt twice and it was okay. Nothing amazing but tasty. Breakfast was great if you wanted hot food. The cold selection wasn't huge but there's plenty if you are happy with the basics. The spa might be a bit small for the amount of users. The pool got a tad tight a couple of times, so if you want to take advantage of lane swimming, you might need to figure out the quiet times. The staff were attentive and friendly. Especially those that ran the breakfast service.

This hotel is fabulous, all of the staff are very friendly and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. It is spotlessly clean and the bedding is high quality, the room is very comfortable with everything you need. If you have the do not disturb sign on the door housekeeping leave a lovely basket of clean towels, loo roll and tea/coffee etc outside the door. The Spa is very good, a nice swimming pool, very clean. Breakfast amazing and plentiful.

The room was fantastic,clean spacious with lovely decor. Also the shower and jacuzzi bath was a lovely treat. The owners were so nice and friendly they couldn't do enough for you. Not that we needed them to do anything, as everything we needed was there and been thought of. Not to mention absolute top quality breakfast made exactly as you want it

Jo and Darren were fantastic hosts. They’ve put a lot of thought into what goes into the rooms. We had a fridge with fresh milk, coffee/tea tray and bottled water. The shower was amazing. Toiletries were provided also. Plenty of wardrobe space, chest of drawers, TV, hairdryer and a fan to cool the room down as it was very hot weather whilst we were there. Good information book, WiFi, clock radio, free parking. There is a residents lounge and bar area plus a dining room for breakfast. You order your breakfast the night before which is great as it means less waste. The fruit salad for breakfast was amazing, freshly made to order. Eggs were delicious as fresh as they could be. All set out ready for you in a light exceptionally clean dining room. Heaps of local information in reception. Five minute walk from the seafront. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mount Edgcombe Guest House, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I've had. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They made me feel right at home! The room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and impeccably clean. The bed was super comfortable, and I had some of the best sleep I've had in a long time. Location-wise, Mount Edgcombe is perfectly situated. It’s close to the main attractions but still secluded enough to offer a peaceful retreat. I loved exploring the nearby shops and cafes during the day and then returning to the hotel for a relaxing evening. Overall, I can't recommend Mount Edgcombe highly enough! Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or a family vacation, this hotel offers everything you need for a memorable stay. I will definitely be coming back!

We were warmly welcomed by our hosts Jo and Darren. We arrived early and checked in. We were shown the room which wasn’t quite ready but was given the key so that we could go out and about. The room was large and spacious and spotlessly clean. The fridge was supplied with fresh milk and there were 2 bottles of water. There was also coffee and tea making facilities though we didn’t make use of this during our stay. There was ample wardrobe space with plenty of hangers. The bathroom and shower were spacious. The bed was very large and has to be the best we’ve ever slept in at a B&B. We liked that there was a breakfast menu to complete for the following day so you could select your breakfast items and how many you wanted of each item, also how you liked your eggs ie fried, scrambled or poached. We were there for a birthday celebration and they went the extra mile by getting a card for my partner and also a muffin cake with a candle. Jo and Darren took time to chat with us and get to know us and gave the personal touch. Nothing was too much trouble and our stay felt very special. There was the added bonus of onsite parking and only a 10 minute walk to the seafront which was flat.

We stayed 2 nights at Mount Edgcombe. Great location , comfy beds, nice shower , excellent breakfast choice and super friendly, helpful hosts. Lovely property that feels like a small hotel with a bar and seating areas. We’ll definitely stay again when in Torquay and would recommend to others as it has everything for a perfect stay . The manor situated in a lovely area with beautiful sea views. We stayed in a room, that had a private entrance with a private terrace and a jacuzzi hot tub. The room was spacious,clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. I loved the bed. The food we had in the restaurant was excellent and worth every penny. Staff were great most of the time.

This hotel has great sea views. Its in a tucked away postion away from busy Torquay. We feel its excellent value for money. Our room was large and beautifully furnished with a balcony. The Bathroom was also large with a freestanding bath and great separate shower. Breakfast was buffet style with hot dishes cooked to order. We had dinner in the smaller restaurant section overlooking a terrace and gardens with lovely sea views. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent using high quality ingredients and service was attentive with staff being very knowledgeable about dishes and wines. There is a small free car park for guests.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyabl as possible. We had dinner and breakfast which were both excellent with a good choice. The bed was very comfortable and the room large and well furnished. The bathroom was also a good size. The hotel had a large car park, beautiful gardens along with a terrace to enjoy drinks.

This was my fifth stay at Orestone Manor, and I’m pleased to report that standards remain as high as ever. It’s a well-appointed, family-run hotel in a truly stunning location, overlooking Labrador Bay — a view that never loses its magic. The team run a tight and thoughtful ship, with warm, attentive service that makes you feel genuinely welcome. The rooms are spotless, characterful, and comfortably furnished — cared for with pride and attention to detail. The Bay Restaurant continues to impress, offering food of a very high standard. Every meal was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with a menu that balances creativity and classic charm. It’s a real asset to the hotel and a draw in its own right. The residents’ breakfast is excellent value at £10 — generous, freshly prepared, and served with the same care as dinner. A fine start to the day, whether you’re off exploring the coast or simply taking in the view. Orestone Manor remains a firm favourite. For anyone seeking comfort, quality, and a touch of timeless English hospitality in a breathtaking setting, it’s hard to beat. I’ll be back again, no doubt.

UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW We booked this hotel through Booking.com and paid for 2 nights full board, which includes dinner, bed and breakfast. On arrival we were told that the restaurant isn't open on Tuesday night so we couldn't have dinner there. They said we should claim a refund through Booking.com. After several weeks and a plethora of attempts I finally got hold of someone at Booking.com. I was told they'd look into the matter. That was in September. Heard nothing since and no refund. The VERY LEAST the hotel should have done is refund us for the dinner we had to pay for in Torquay. Although I gave it a glowing review 1st time, we'll never stay at Orestone again and will advise our friends and family not to either. Breakfast was very good The room was lovely. We were in Shire outside which had a living room and bedroom. The hot tub was super, state of the art. Not one of those circular ones but a 2-person tub. The staff were really helpful and polite.

What a great find, tucked just slightly off the beaten track, countryside views surrounding this stone former school-house, peaceful relaxing and welcoming stay, Such a friendly couple, Fred will also keep you company if required :) (family pet). The room has all you'll need, Iron, Kettle, hairdryer, En-suite shower room, chairs, desk, TV. Food is great, i make no exaggeration here, spending my working week up and down the country in various hotels and eateries, the portion is just right, very tasty fresh and healthy. The school-house is something a little different, it's nice but not too fancy, a place to relax and sleep, guests are friendly and pricing is very competitive for the area. I enjoyed my stay and hope to be back when over that way. Thanks for the lovely stay Karen.

A lovely, little place of charm and character with friendly owners and dog (Fred). Lovely quiet location away from conurbation but close to links and not far from the M4. The rooms were a good size, very clean and comfortable bed. Liked the mains hair dryer and iron provided in the rooms and the nice bathroom and shower. Sockets had usb ports and there's free wifi. The breakfast was excellent. A very enjoyable stay.

Both propreietors are gebuinely welcoming, helpful and pleasant. The single room was larger than most, it was well equipped with everything thing I needed and everything worked. It was clean, quiet and I had an excellent nights sleep. The evening meal when I arrived was very well cooked, presented and served, it was very good qaulity and good value. The breakfast was not quite so good - (the kippers were pre-packed and filleted) but it was still the second best breakfast out of all of the ones I had on my two weeks of travels around Scotland, England and Wales. The scrambled eggs were freshly cooked for me, they were delicious.

Friendly welcome and throughout stay, love Fred the dog. Good size room, decorated within keeping of the building, crisp fresh immaculately clean bed linen and towels, fabulous shower, great tasty breakfast from Tonny who is an excellent chef and great service from his wife Karen. Would stay again. Excellent value for money for B&B. Evening meal was amazing and for 3-courses of that quality, reasonably priced.

Very Tasty food in the restaurant and breakfast and dinner brought to our room when the restaurant was closed, a real treat!!! The owners were very helpful and friendly.

Well booked this weekend Thursday to Sunday in December 23 for the wife’s birthday treat, I have never been to Torquay so had no knowledge of the hotels in the area, oh my god how lucky were we? Our accommodation was room 1 which is the cottage at the side of the hotel which is so private, with its own front terrace, Jacuzzi, wooded area with sea views, wow! The food on our stay both at breakfast and dinner was the best we have experienced at a hotel and we have stayed in many in the UK and Europe, compliments to the Chef, the staff were fantastic and we could not have expected this experience. Well done, highly recommended!

We received a warm welcome from this characterful country house hotel nestled in the steep slopes above Maidencombe beach. The hotel has an attractive sea-facing terrace located over a pleasant garden and ample parking. Our 'Superior' room was spacious, comfortable, well presented and spotlessly clean. The hotel had many positives but the standout feature had to be the quality of our 3 course dinner which was exceptional. The waiting staff were prompt, personable and professional. A short but sweet one night stay for us we hope to repeat. As a middle-aged couple we felt very comfortable in the relaxed but upbeat atmosphere of this friendly hotel.

What a gem of a hotel nestled on a quiet road leading down to the beach about 15 mins outside Torquay. We had a lovely room at the top of the house with a little sun terrace. The room was lovely, clean, nice en-suite and all amenities provided. We had dinner at the restaurant, 3 course meal and the standard was exceptional, my fillet steak was to die for. Breakfast was equally fabulous and the service was impeccable. The staff did everything to make our stay very enjoyable with a shout out to Craig, Karen and Molly. Will definitely be back

What a wonderful hotel. Its a real place of peace, tranquility, quality and luxury. Spotlessly clean, excellent service from friendly staff, top quality restaurant with a wide range of options all available in a perfect setting. The terrace bar looks over the beautiful gardens with the sea in distance. Its hard to tear yourself away, especially with a chilled G & T in hand. I would definitely recommend this hotel for peaceful and luxurious break. Can't wait to return.

The lady on reception was pleasant and friendly, she offered to upgrade us due to the hotel Being quiet for an extra £30 per night, we decided as it was my husband's birthday wto agree. We had a roof terrace with a wallpapered room, the original room had only a window and painted walls. The room was clean and nicely decorated with a comfy bed. It stipulated that if we required a meal we would have to request this before 6.30 pm the day before. As we had been out on the Saturday walking most of the day enjoying the beautiful surroundings we arrived back at the hotel at 8.30 . We decided to have at the bar around 8.30, i explained that although we where late asking would it be possible for Sunday lunch in the 4 star Hotel the following day as it was my husband's birthday. I understood i was late asking. The guy said that they had lots of bookings and that as we had not asked 2 hours previously it may not be possible. We said we would wait on the terrace for him to check. We left after an hour to go to bed without his return. I feel that it would have been polite to follow up our request. We stayed for 5 nights and upgraded but then decided not to eat there as we felt the service could have been slightly more attentive. All in all a wonderful holiday and a lovely environment.

Once we found how to get into the car park, it was great! Very modern & clean. Reception staff were excellent & so friendly & helpful. Car parking pricing is a bit steep but it was right by the hotel and safe. The room was very clean with all amenities in place. The bed was large too! The restaurant food was amazing. We ate in there the first night and while the price was rather high I felt, the quality was outstanding. The staff were super friendly & very attentive. They were really ever so polite and friendly, especially Mrtikka (I do apologise if I’ve got that wrong) She was super helpful and an absolute asset to the hotel.

This location is in the middle of the Center of Bristol and very near to mostly everything you need. It was so convenient to walk to the coach station, shopping center and clubs. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was so tasty and cooked fresh. The staff was amazing and willing to help. Good quality hotel and good service delivered. The staff was friendly, helpful, kind, understanding and they made sure we are happy. We've been to lots of hotels , but we are happy to say this is the best hotel by far. From we arrived staff was very welcoming in everyway, it was a joy staying at this hotel and we definitely will be staying at this hotel again without a doubt.

Always have an enjoyable stay here. Rich very welcoming as always. Lovely room which was upgraded. Spotlessly clean and spacious. Breakfast was hot, well presented and fresh. All staff are a pleasure to be around and always ready to assist. Hotel very well located within easy reach of Harbourside and shops, bars, restaurants.

The hotel is in the process of being refurbished and so only the 6th and 7th floor were in use. Our room was very clean with quality bathroom fittings. The bedroom area was large with everything you would expect, a safe, hairdryer, free water in the mini fridge, iron/ironing board, tea/biscuits etc. We found the matress was a little firm, therefore not as comfortable as we would have liked. The staff at the hotel are first class, very friendly and helpful. A really great choice at breakfast from a self service buffet style to cooking you porridge or pancakes! The hotel is well located in central Bristol and the car park is directly next door, park on the second floor and it gives you easy access to the hotel itself. We enjoyed our stay.

Another fantastic stay at an excellent hotel.. From check in with Richard which was expertly and speedily sorted, To great coffee served by Privine at the bar, room was immaculately presented and spotless.. bed was comfy and cosy with a great nights sleep to boot- A fantastic breakfast which hosted by Ratika who was looking after all the guests like a true professional, thanks to the kitchen team who prepared a breakfast which set me up for the whole day… Check out was carried out swiftly and professionally by the team in the morning. This is THE place to stay if you want to get a taste of the Cotswolds. The place itself is beautiful and out of several towns/villages, Bibury was our favorite. The manager, Amanda, was very helpful and friendly. She helped us check in when we got there a bit after the front desk had closed, showed us to our table at the restaurant, made sure our order came out great and made a few recommendations for the following day to get to know the are, which we did! The restaurant at this place is so good; we had breakfast and dinner every day and they were perfect. We had the dinner delivered to our cottage on night and everything was excellent. Highly recommend the stone sea bass and the Full English Breakfast. Everyone on staff was super friendly, parking was there on site and our accommodations were perfect. Must stay here!

Hotel in a beautiful setting. Check in very welcoming and quick. We had drinks in the bar and evening meal. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and eager to please. Food was delicious. Breakfast also delicious , we had porridge which was served lovely and hot. Bed was very comfortable and everything spotless. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay

We had a great stay for dinner, bed and breakfast. The cottage was full of character, super comfortable and made for a very relaxing stay. The garden was very peaceful, considering how busy Bibury wad on a bank holiday weekend. Staff were all very friendly.

We stayed in a lovely cottage and it felt like a welcome home from home. So private and quiet. Everything in the cottage was provided at a high standard. Bring a sleeping eye mask as the light of dawn will leak in. But that it, that’s my only small complaint. The team at the Swan are exceptional and especially Christian who looked after us the whole time. All the food (we had dinner and breakfast as part of our rate) was wonderful. Tasty and a great variety too. The wine by the glass is very generous. Finally you cannot top the location and the ease of getting everywhere from Bidbury. We will be back!

Stayed in a cosy room for 2 nights, spacious & comfy had enough storage etc. there are no modern usb sockets. Staff all friendly & helpful; breakfast waiter service & very good quality. Grounds are extensive, we walked in the kitchen garden. Parking was easy outside. The spa facilities need an upgrade as seem a bit past their best (we did use the pool & jacuzzi indoors).

Our stay at Bishopstrow Hotel was delightful! Dinner was delicious, and we loved the flavors and presentation. The junior suite was spacious and comfortable, though it could use a bit more natural light. The pool and jacuzzi were a fantastic addition to our stay, making it easy to relax. We also enjoyed the beautiful hikes around the hotel, which gave us a chance to explore the lovely surroundings. A highlight was the fresh eggs and milk we got nearby—they were simply fantastic. All in all, a wonderful stay with a great mix of comfort, relaxation, and nature!

Stayed here as a stopover on the way home from London. It's a beautifully appointed hotel, so much so that I don't think we noticed so much as a worn carpet or a patch of grubby paintwork. Excellent service from everyone we spoke to. Had a very tasty meal in the lounge bar. Lovely jacuzzi. Room spotless, and very comfortable. We'll happily go back.

The attention to detail at this hotel was amazing, made you feel very special. Fab you could stay in a luxurious hotel room with a dog, great private jacuzzi and the grounds were stunning. Our dog loved your dog agility course and our children had fun on the pumpkin hunt. We will def be back, definitely a special hotel - thoroughly recommend.

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for night during the Easter break and we found it amazing from hotel cleanliness to the overall decor of the venue. We booked a junior suite but have to say the picture shows double bathtub but there was only one bathtub in the bathroom so didn’t have the beautiful greenery view out the window. The shower facilities were brilliant and the toiletries were really nice. Fresh bath towels and the lot. The bed was super comfy and the pillows were just plump and nice and felt resting on clouds. The sofa chairs were large and very comfortable and there was a Dyson hair dryer that my partner enjoyed. Just enough wardrobe space for two with a fridge that had some water and milk for the free tea. The dinner at the restaurant for us was a let down as we only got the vegetarian menu, the pasta was tasteless but the salmon was tasty. There should be more vegetarian options as little tip for next time. However, the normal menu did look great and so those who are able to eat the meat it maybe nice. They did give fresh orange juice aswell which was delicious. The breakfast menu was fantastic and would highly recommend. The Spa amenities are brilliant so be sure to make use of them. Overall I would highly recommend this place to others and would stay again.

Lots of things to do on site for free like the gym, swimming, tennis, mini golf and arcade. Clean and comfortable living area. Beds were very comfortable. Close to Newquay and other areas by car. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The 4 bed place we stayed in was wonderful, spacious, clean, modern and had everything we needed. The downstairs room and bathroom was perfect for grandma. Really impressed.

The resort was nice, clean and kids friendly. Only downside was the lack of Wifi. Mobile network wasnt great there, so, having wifi would definitely be a plus.

As a family we really enjoyed staying at Atlantic reach resort, as it was very comfortable and peaceful. The house was very clean and we were very happy with the facilities. Loved the location, as it was not far from the main tourist spots.

The staff are friendly and very helpful plenty to do for children and adults the accommodation we stayed in was very clean and everything we needed there I would definitely go again

Bad Points: 1. Very poor water pressure to the shower 2. Bacon at breakfast time was dry and chewy Good Points Plenty of Blue Badge parking (no charge, just enter Reg No when booking in) Comfy, clean, spacious accessible room (lacks air con but windows do open) Friendly, helpful staff - a real credit to the place. Bar opens late with a good selection of beers etc. Good location, easy access to M5 and A38 into Gloucester City Centre and Quays Bumble Bee pub next door, good food, great service (Vintage Inn chain - worth downloading the app to book and also for offers) We paid what I consider a reasonable price and will definitely return when next in this area. Hopefully a better shower water pressure next time

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The shower was hot a gad good pressure. The bathroom had excellent quality hand soap, body wash and shampoo. There was a USB socket next to the bed to charge devices. There is free unlimited WiFi that has is fast both downloading and uploading. There is a hearty breakfast included with the room. Sadly I don’t think the lattes are as good as they used to be but the rest was great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is dog friendly There is ample parking although the parking space lines are faded and difficult to see on a rainy night.

This was an amazing value stay. Greeted by friendly staff and check in and out was quick and easy. The room and bathroom were spotless. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Lovely and quiet. The Bumble Bee pub next door was perfect for an evening drink. Breakfast was busy and still all the food was plentiful and fresh. Cannot fault our stay.

Hotel was spotless, staff were lovely and really looked after us and our dog. Have stayed in other hotels where there's quite a fair bit of 'corridor' noise which can set our dog off barking - had no issues here whatsoever and our dog slept soundly. On arrival we were given a little dog bag with a ball, treats and poo bags which is a nice touch (£25 pet fee, which seems expensive but well worth it for us!). Breakfast in the morning was great - dogs are allowed to sit on the laminate flooring bar area, and we just took it in turns getting breakfast whilst the other stayed with the dog. The food was the best breakfast we've had at any hotel buffet! Only downside, which is no fault of the hotel is the restaurant right next door was expensive and not worth it in our opinion, so wouldn't recommend that.

Excellent stay here for one night. All staff welcoming, friendly and helpful. Big mention to Karen at breakfast time who helped me. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel next to Bumble Bee Inn where we ate evening meal. Will visit again when next in Glos.
