Absolutely wonderful 5 day stay here. The hotel has an interesting history as a health spa and the location makes obvious why. The views from the hotel are restorative alone! The rooms (make sure to get a lake view) are comfortable, spotless and well equiped. Staff were lovely - friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and all made with health in mind (but that dosnt mean it is boring!). The Spa is luxurious and well equipped. Treatments (massage) was professional and excellent. Yes, the road up to the hotel is winding and not for the feint hearted or novice driver, but adds to the experience! We had a super, relaxing and comfortable stay here. One minor point though, even though nearly everywhere in the hotel is spotless, they seem to forget the corridors. There were stains on the carpets all week and the corridor didnt seem to be even vacuumed in the time we were there. Also, there were smudge marks in the lift all week that hadnt been wiped off. Minor points in an otherwise perfect experience.

So we arrived and checked in to a room with a garden view. This room was clean, pleasant but felt just like every other premium hotel experience. There is nothing special about these rooms and I would recommend you upgrade to a balcony (lake / sea view) room. We went straight back to reception and upgraded. The sea view rooms are bigger with a large balcony which was impressive, the views however are amazing. The spa is lovely and the food in the restaurant for the half board was good.

The view on the lake from the hotel is amazing. The hotel is extremely dog friendly our furry family member felt very comfortable. The restaurant staff is very nice and helpful. We enjoyed a romantic dinner with our dog on the lake view terrace. Hiking around in the area was beautiful.

Comfortable and clean rooms. the breakfast and dinner was very good. Liked the rooms at the upper floor with a great view. its on a quiet street within walking distance to Piazza in Ascona. Parking space right in front of Hotel.

Our stay in Ascona definitively lived up to our expectations. We were very warmly welcomed by the Hotel staff, who spoke all Swiss languages perfectly. He kindly showed us some tips and recommended areas to see, was constently tending to our every need and most importantly, the staff was smiling and made us feel at home. Rooms were very clean, simple and modern, and we had the huge balcony at the top floor which had a beautiful view. We have to say the hotel is most probably the best value in town. Additionally, having a bus stop to Locarno only 1 minute away, a supermarket even closer and the lake 5 minutes walk away. This Hotel definitely was perfect for our stay. Very friendly helpful staff. Clean comfortable room with lovely en suite bathroom, great shower !! The location was ideal. I can recomend to anyone staying in Ascona, especially if you are attending a concert at the Jazz Cat Theater, as I was, it is only a five minute walk from the hotel

Hotel Polo is beautiful...I can’t believe it’s only 3*! The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, delicious breakfast brought to our table and they even upgraded our room! Great location with free parking. I would 100% recommend.

A beautiful property with attentive staff. Gorgio the concierge was especially helpful. We upgraded to a panorama suite and it was very large and comfortable with incredible view. The breakfast buffet had nice variety, The bar and the restaurant are good, but expensive. The outdoor terrace is lovely -- the indoor bar could use a "refresh" in design although in the nice summer weather we preferred to be outside with the incredible view. The one thing to note about the property is that to get to/from downtown Lugano can be expensive. During the day if you are fit you can walk down and back (a bit of a climb) and the hotel does have a shuttle service at certain times. But, in the evening taxi was required.

Amazing hotel perched above Lugano with impressive view over the lake from the hotel room. Rooms are spacious with a sitting area in the room as well as balcony overlooking the lake. Friendly staff offering quality service during our stay especially the drivers of the shuttle to Lugano. We really enjoyed a peaceful break in a beautiful hotel surrounded by nature. Dinner in the gourmet restaurant was an impressive and delicious conclusion to our stay in Villa Principe Leopoldo.

Location: High above Lake Lugano, need a car to get there. Beware: the hotel consists of the Villa itself (with view on the lake) and the Residence (with no view at all). Rooms: We stayed at a renovated room in the Residence and found it extremely big and comfortable. The bathroom facilities are ok, but the shower could be better. No tea/coffee in-room facilities, but free water is provided. Breakfast: pretty good selection of cold cuts, cheese, fruits and cereals. Hot selections limited to eggs and ham. Coffee offered and served. Restaurant: expensive and dress-coded, we did not go there. Spa: we did not make it there as reservations are required. Gym: reasonably equipped, water and towels provided. Sauna was closed for renovation. Staff: very "posh", like a "royalty butler". But they do their job. Overall, good impression and recommended.

This Hotel has an excellent location with a majestic view. Once you enter the room the view is spectacular. The room is big and very clean. The staff are very attentive to details. The restaurants service and food are amazing! This hotel was the highlight of our vacation. Service was impeccable, always attentive to the guests. The piano bar was a highlight of the stay.

The view from the hotel's main garden terrace is stunning and the food and drink options were excellent, including their Michelin-starred restaurant. The breakfast was good, with very high quality products, including freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious bread. The view from the breakfast terrace was wonderful. The hotel had two lovely outdoor pools, neither of which seemed to get too crowded and there were additional facilities including a relatively well-stocked gym at their sister hotel 100m away.

A very good hotel at a reasonable price. The room was comfortable with a beautiful view of the Swiss Alps from the balcony. I enjoyed the best ravioli that I’ve ever tasted here (al fresco). There are many peaceful areas to relax. There’s a good fitness centre and a cold jacuzzi (wish it was warmer). Overall, Bravo!

Stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate my girlfriends Birthday, here my little review: arrival: the resort has enough parking but we had the bellman to park our car and take care of the luggage. Although we arrived early, our room was ready, nice surprise. Check in was friendly and eaay, our room was in the 2nd floor of the main building, clean, litte balcony with 2 chairs and a nice view, it good shape but a bit dated. Breakfast buffet is available at the main restaurant and offers many choices, nice outdoor seating, nice! The pool is one of the largest in Ascona, the garden offers many spots and sunchairs, umbrellas are limited though. Did not use the Gym but it looks good. Liked and used a lot the pool side bar, nice lounge chairs to chillax after the the and also to visit for an after dinner drink. Tried different cocktails, may favourite remains the Negroni, thanks foe the attentive and skilled service by bartender Mary from Lugano, great job. Amd this counts for all the staff, they get it just right, friendly and helpful. A solid 4 Star experience I would like to recommend and will likely return next time we will enjoy Ascona and Lago Maggiore Area!

The DELTA is one of the rare occasions where reality outperforms the photos easily. We booked for 3 nights due to a family visit and the hotel surpassed our expectations. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL. Well maintained and perfect for taking a walk with the breathtaking backdrop of the mountains. Our room in Villa Favorita was perfect and bigger than we expected. Both room and bathroom were far nicer than on all the photos. As we were traveling with our baby son, the extra space was perfect. Baby bed, water kettle etc. all provided. Pool, breakfast, Spa, all wonderful. A must do is a sundowner drink at the lovely pool bar. Most notably of all, the team was amazing, really friendly, caring, professional. We absolutely enjoyed our short stay and would book again anytime.

The place is a bit old but absolutely clean and comfortable. The staff is incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. A beautiful and delicious breakfast buffet in a very nice, well spread and spacious restaurant.

Everything was perfect. Stayed there for 2 nights and received a free upgrade since the hotel was not booked out. The staff was always very friendly and could communicate either in Italian, English or German. Dogs are also very welcome. Facility is nice, quiet area and close to the walking trail at the river/lake. Restaurant offers great cooking and breakfast is also nice. Overall a very pleasant hotel.

The location of the hotel is so tranquil. Beautiful just after sunrise or sunset. The SPA is amazing, with emotional shower, sauna, turkish sauna, relaxation room, massage area, fitness studio, indoor pool with cold and hot jacuzzis, and outdoor pool with a heated outdoor hot tub (both closed on this occasion, unfortunately). Plenty of towels in SPA area. Tea/water facilities available. Perfect facilities for relaxation. The shower in the room is something every person needs in their life: one feels like a newborn after it. Especially useful when SPA area is closed but one needs to relax after a long day :) We checked in very late (was a very spontaneous decision) and were welcomed in an appropriate manner - the last time we were treated like we didn't belong there (!). We enquired about a late checkout possibility, but were told to ask the next day. After some relaxing spa we did - and were offered to stay longer free of charge as it was Easter weekend. We checked out at 1 (instead of 11), meaning we had 2 more hours to enjoy the SPA area. Very grateful for this accommodation. Robes available in the room. Secure underground parking, free of charge. Complimentary bottles of water in the room and at checkout, a nice touch. Fridge and hairdryer available in the room. Kettle and tea/coffee also.

Collina d’Oro Resort is a very quiet , luxurious place with an exquisite peaceful view to Lugano lake, and a harmonious nature. We enjoyed the palatable Mediterranean and Swiss food, and the special intercontinental breakfast with nature view. Warm swimming pool with sparkling shiny waters nested in the heart of the surrounding mountains and hills. This is not poetry , it is the actual charm and spirit of the resort. It is recommended for families, and nature lovers! It is to 8 mn away from Tasis the American Summer school by car, and there is a bus transporting yo the Lugano center every 1 hour. A small library in the hotel lobby for readers! I personally highly recommend this place, to spend a healthy and mind restoring vacation👍

Staff were amazing. We had a rough time earlier that day with some other accommodation and they took us last minute late at night and upgraded our room so we could cook some food we had and be comfortable. Can't tell you how much this was appreciated by us after a long day. Breakfast in the morning was very good and again the staff were so helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast buffet was wonderful, there were plenty of healthy breads, fruits, coffee, cheeses. My room with a balcony and view of the lake was exceptional. The location in Paradiso was perfect for me, a little more quiet than downtown Lugano and near enough to walk to everything in Lugano. I would stay at the Delfino again in a heartbeat. All of the staff, including front desk and dining room staff, were always friendly and helpful.

Great hotel close to Lugano city center, including a reasonably priced garage (18.- CHF per day). The room was cozy, with a small balcony having a nice lake view. Dinner was incredible and the waiters were very helpful and nice. I highly recommend having dinner and drinks at the hotel, it's really worth it! Breakfast was good, with a wide variety of products and fresh fruit. I will definitely come back if in Lugano area.

The pool area was beautiful with great views. The restaurant was excellent ! I stress dinner there twice. Beautiful and delicious meals. The breakfast was a true continental breakfast but still had options.

The Locanda is located at a key spot in Vallemaggia, close to many hikes, Grottos and also from Maggia but w/o being too close to urban areas - there is a bus stop just in front of the Locanda. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is good. The room we stayed in was big, very clean and comfortable.

It is a perfect place for families with children. It is clean, well-equipped, and the owner is very nice.

This was the second time staying at Hotel Serpiano. The views over Lake Lugano are absolutely breathtaking and worth the drive. We stayed a double room with lake views, which I highly recommend. Rooms are clean and simple, bathroom is a little tight, but manageable. Staff was friendly and food served in the on-site restaurant was very good. Lots of parking, free of charge. Breakfast buffet is simple, but good.

The staff was really kind with our kid. The hotel is clean and close to many hiking trails. The view from the terrasse is amazing and we had massage outside at the evening with this beautiful view. It was a perfect moment.

The hotel facilities were great - the indoor pool, sauna, steam room and spa were lovely but also the bar with stunning views over Lake Lugano was breathtaking. The staff were all really friendly. Although the hotel looks a bit dated from the outside, they've done a lovely refurbishment inside

spacious, excellent location, well equipped, nice beds and linens, modern showers, responsive owner. Migros is five steps away - can buy excellent products for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also sell tasty packaged meals, salads, fish. Was easy to visit Bellagio, Como - use the ferry one way, it makes perfect logistics. Also went to Ascona - easy and very nice half day trip and dinner

The apartment is amazing! huge, clean, comfortable, well located. the sauna and bathtub are a plus for the stay

The apartment is spacious, light, clean and located very close to the train station. It's also bang in the middle of the city, close to shops and the Saturday morning market and of course the castles. The kitchen is well equipped, although we only used it for breakfast. It was very nice to have some coffee (machine) and water in the fridge. It is also good to know that there are roller shutters, so it is possible to completely darken the room for the night and also to keep out the sun if you want.

The apartment is perfect equiped and had everything we could possiblly need. Located in the heart of city center with a view on the main street. Cosy, even had sauna and whirpool which made our stay even better. Easy communication with the host and we found the apartment easy.

This apartment was very modern and clean and in the centre so ideal for exploring the area. We got parked in the multi story carpark 4 min walk away so very convenient. The host messaged with entry details prior to stay which made for a stress free stay.
