We stayed at Hotel K5 for 6 nights. We found the location perfect for a longer stay as the hotel is situated in Nihombashi Kabutocho, a quieter neighbourhood in Tokyo that remains close to metro stations, convenience stores and restaurants. The staff was exceptional. From check-in to check-out, the level of care and attention that we received from everyone was beyond what we ever experienced in any hotel. The property is beautiful. The design is modern and fresh. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner at Caveman (their restaurant on the main floor) and cannot recommend it enough. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. The coffee at Switch coffee is excellent. They also have a beer hall in their basement level that seems really interesting but we didn’t get a chance to go.

The combination of impeccable design, top-notch service, and excellent breakfast made it one of the best hotel stays we've ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the K5 hotel in Tokyo. The entire property is beautifully designed, and our loft suite was spacious, modern and comfortable. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast in the restaurant Caveman was delicious and excellent value considering the quality and quantity of items. We didn't have dinner there this time, but the food looked amazing. I would happily stay at K5 again, and recommend it as a great option for accomodation in Tokyo.

Room was really spacious (esp. given Japanese hotel standards), quiet and with a great double bed. Kudos on top-notch interior design, including modern turntable and eclectic choice of records. Staff was friendly and attentive. A real boutique hotel. The bar/breakfast area was also nicely designed as well and had good coffee (and coffee tonic). Somewhat “hipster“ in a positive sense — large windows łooking at the back entrance of JPX Tokyo Stock Exchange. Nice bar on ground floor specializing in sawa-based drinks.

We absolutely loved our stay at K5, from the staff, to the restaurant, cafe, the cocktail bar, the overall atmosphere, the design, esthetics and attention to details - it acceded our expectations. The rooms are rather small, but very cozy, very well designed, you actually feel like you have a very organized space to move around, open big luggage etc. The lighting in the rooms was absolutely beautiful, and very instagrammable if I might add. Location is not the best per say, it is around the Tokyo stock exchange in our of Tokyo's financial districts, but it's super safe, has cute Cafes, and was walkable to Ginza. Another important feature that the location has is its very close to a good subway line that can quickly get you to Shibuya. The beds were so comfy, the temperature in the room was perfect, the shower was super well design, albeit not having a bath, do request a room with one if it's important to you.

From the moment we arrived, B:CONTE Asakusa felt like a well-kept apartment in the heart of Tokyo. The location is unbeatable—mere minutes from Senso-ji Temple, subway access, and a wide array of shops, eateries, and convenience stores. Our room was remarkably spacious for Tokyo standards, equipped with a kitchenette, washer/dryer combo, and modern amenities that allowed us to cook light meals and keep our luggage fresh throughout a week’s stay. The bed was comfy, and everything was clean and thoughtfully equipped. A highlight was the fantastic team on site—friendly, proactive, and genuinely helpful, even coordinating pre-arrival assistance. Though we stayed near street level, noise was minimal, especially after 10 PM; some guests suggest specifying a higher floor if you’re especially sensitive to outside sounds. Altogether, excellent value for money—if you’re looking for a practical, cozy and convenient base in Tokyo, B:CONTE Asakusa ticks all the boxes.

The location of the hotel is excellent, short walk to bus stop (bus 46, good and fast connection to Ueno station), or a 10 minute walk to Asakusa metro station. Lots of restaurants around, 7 eleven, Lawson etc. Even a large Don Quichote down the road. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room is spacious for Tokyo, and has all included one could need. Fridge, microwave, kettle, all kitchen utensils etc. The washing/drying machine in the room was a great bonus, easy to use and within 3 hours we had all our laundry fresh, dry and clean. Excellent water pressure and a great shower. Spacious bathroom. Good storage space everywhere. The bed was comfortable although relatively small with 1,20 or 1.40 width, not sure we did not measure but it was small ;). Overall great value for money and we would stay again, for sure. Highly recommended.

Very well appointed clean room, firm and comfortable queen bed (description said double), Nespresso machine, washer/dryer, very quiet on the street before 10 and after 22 h, hotel is very quiet, excellent A/C, excellent shower and all products available where of good quality. Kitchenette well equipped although we only used it for cold breakfast. Staff at reception are very welcoming and pleasant. Many grocery stores and konbinis very close as are many restaurants and everything a tourist might seek. Many train lines within 5-10 minute walk.

This is a spacious room by Tokyo standards, with a big closet and plenty of space to unpack and settle in. The kitchenette and laundry right in the room make this a great base of operations for a multi-day visit to Tokyo. The location in Asakusa is great -- close to Senso-ji Temple, close to train stations, and a very walkable area with dozens (hundreds?) of shops, restaurants, and street food stalls. It's a little bit touristy but also feels authentically local. There are as many Japanese tourists here as there are international ones. For extra fun, go to one of the many kimono rental shops and get dressed up to walk around the neighborhood. This is a popular pastime for natives and foreigners alike! This location is pretty convenient for traveling to other parts of Tokyo, and it's fun to come back to a vibrant neighborhood at the end of your touring day to grab a drink, a taiyaki or some ice cream before you call it quits for the night. The front desk staff are cordial and efficient, and they do speak English (at least plenty well enough to transact hotel business). I needed to have something sent to the hotel ahead of our check-in, and they were very helpful in accommodating that. If you should have a similar need, just note that the letter or package should include your name and also your check-in date.

The hotel room was very comfortable and had a great view over Senso-Ji temple and Skytree Tower. We had a problem with the air conditioning in our room and when it couldn't be fixed that day, the staff arranged us to move to another room. The new room was very spacious for Tokyo and we appreciated their efforts to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel is in a great location with lots of transport close by and endless restaurants to choose from. While breakfast isn't provided, the hotel provides a list of recommended places to have breakfast. We tried a few and they were all great.

The Gate Hotel Tokyo by Hulic offers a wonderfully convenient location in the heart of Ginza, surrounded by countless shops and restaurants. It was the perfect base for exploring the city. We particularly enjoyed the daily afternoon glass of champagne and snack in the lobby bar, accompanied by relaxing classical music — a lovely touch that made our stay feel even more special. The hotel’s restaurant was charming; while we only experienced it for breakfast, the food was fresh and satisfying, albeit with a modest variety. Our room was very comfortable, well-appointed, and even featured a beer vending machine just outside our door — a fun and unique detail. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with excellent comfort and an unbeatable location.

This is an amazing hotel in every way. The location - by several train stations and Ginza - is superb. The rooms are very spacious, clean, modern, with very comfortable beds and pajamas. It’s shockingly quiet which makes for a peaceful oasis. The breakfast is diverse and excellent. The staff are outstandingly helpful and attentive. Five stars all the way!

This is the second time I have being lucky enough to stay in this lovely hotel in just over a year, and it was just as good as last time. Location is excellent, a modern hotel with a more business like feel, which is perfect for me. Everything about the hotels is efficient and professional. All the staff are courteous and helpful at all times. For my 2 week stay we dined for breakfast every day and also had 2 evening meals, everything was fresh, delicious and cooked well by the chef and his team who always appreciate you greeting them and thanking them. Housekeeping, as with last year, is excellent. Every day everything is replenished, I never had to ask for anything. Prior to arrival, the reservation team was very helpful and accommodating. I travel today to their sister hotel in Kyoto. I hope I have a similar experience. Many thanks to everyone who made my visit so enjoyable

The lobby and bar area is really beautiful and a lovely place to sit and enjoy the city views. The room itself was also a lovely design and layout, very comfortable beds, spacious for luggage, and nice views down on to the street below to watch Tokyo life. Breakfast was great with some lovely cooked options and additional buffet. The staff were outstanding - so polite, friendly and accommodating. Good location, within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants nearby.

Such a lovely hotel; almost boutique which is a refreshing change for Tokyo. Brilliant location as Ginza linked to all areas of Tokyo with ease. Super, light lobby on 4th floor. Very comfortable rooms, some with great views in to Ginza. Range of rooms available to suit budget but popular hotel so need to book well in advance. Reception staff really helpful. Limited services - no room service, no snacks available during day after breakfast, although beverages possible in the lobby/reception area. But two restaurants and a great bar with expert cocktail bar staff. Attention to detail excellent. One of the best Manhattans I have had! Stylish hotel, welcoming hotel which I will definitely stay in again.

The hotel is very nice, with very nice rooms, the bed were comfortable, spotless clean, good size rooms. The staff were super friendly and always helpful. The breakfast was good with a few options of eggs, fruits, yogurt and Asian breakfast style, cover all groups of tourists. The location is the best, the lower part of Ginza is the best and you have literally everything you need at your doorstep.

Stayed 3 nights in Deluxe twin corner. Outstanding view of main ginza street! Never get bored every day and night! Great design, love the hallway entrance, en suite bathroom with Byredo Bal da’frique essence! So nice! This type of room was spacious in term of Tokyo standard. Amazing staff, Mr. Alonso, easy check in and out. Also they helped us to arrange luggage transport services to other hotel. Location is perfect, konbini just around the corner, coffee shop (called costa coffee) is a must try! Many food options nearby. Amazing location in Ginza. Walking distance to all shopping areas in ginza. Beautiful hotel lobby, rooms are quiet, clean and have a up scale feel to it. Highly recommend the all you can eat breakfast buffet which has a combination of fresh fish, Chinese and Japanese hot dishes and western dishes with a unique Japanese twist to them.

Location is exceptional in terms of shopping, dining and metro transportation. Hotel looks new and refreshing. The room is clean with very practical layout. The breakfast area is very pleasant and the breakfast itself is really good quality! Furthermore, room cleaning service is very clean and efficient. I would like to extend my appreciation to Ms Akatsuka for ensuring that the administrative aspect of my stay and arrangement of my transport to the airport (departure from Tokyo) were all flawless and efficiently managed.

The hotel was great! Very modern and clean. Location is very calm and convenient. You can move around easily by train from the Suidobashi station which is located right next to the hotel. Moving around with the train is not so expensive, for example compared to the EU. Room was spacious and big enough for 3 people for 3 nights. Complimentary was waiting for us in the minibar which was very nice. Even though tap water was drinkable personally i don’t prefer doing that anywhere else than in my home country😅. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain about! If we had any questions we got an answer right away. Check-in was smoothly made on a machine (the receptionist helped us out on spot.) There is a very good Ramen restaurant right next to the hotel which i can highly recommend. A 7-eleven (small grocery store) and McDonalds are also located right behind the corner. Tokyo Dome (big shopping centre and restaurant food garden) is within walking distance, can highly recommend that for great food and shopping. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so i can’t comment on that, but it surely looked like a casual buffet. Thank you! Br, Christian

I recently stayed at the SUIDOBASHI - Tokyo hotel, and it was a fantastic experience! The hotel's location next to the Tokyo Dome was incredibly convenient, especially since I attended a baseball game at the stadium. It was just a few minutes' walk from the main gates, which made getting to and from the game a breeze. The hotel itself was very clean, and the bed and bedding were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The staff were super friendly and spoke English, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend SUIDOBASHI - Tokyo for its convenience, cleanliness, and excellent service. Whether you're in town for a game or just exploring Tokyo, this hotel is a perfect choice!

We stayed here our first night in Japan and thought it was a comfortable and clean hotel for the money. The rooms were spacious enough to open our suitcases and store them under the bed. The free drink was a nice perk and the breakfast was tasty. It isn't in a location we would choose again as it is far from the airport and major areas, but it was a comfortable stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The service was excellent from start to finish—every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We booked a high floor King Suite with club access, and it was well worth it. The room had a great view of the city, was spacious, very clean, and perfect for our family. The hotel even prepared the sofa bed and added an extra bed, which was very comfortable. The club access was a great perk—kids were welcome in the lounge, and we enjoyed delicious complimentary breakfasts and cocktail hour with tasty tapas. We also had access to the main hotel breakfast (included in the room) which had a wide variety and was delicious. The hotel’s location was very good- just a few stops (with direct train) from both Shibuya and Akihabara. Overall, a wonderful experience with top-notch service and comfort. We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning!

The hotel was first class from check in to check out. We stayed in a club room on the 33 floor. The hotel is about 25 minutes from Haneda airport. We had a seamless check in on the 35 floor. The room was very nice, not large but comfortable. The bathroom has glass walls but when you enter it the walls fog up. Clever. So you get privacy. Not a lot of storage. That was an issue. Large hotel Great breakfast buffet. We had the weekend package so breakfast was included. Highly recommend. We are dinner 2x in the main floor restaurant and it was lovely. The restaurant staff is truly great. Near two Subway's about a 8 minute walk. Some stairs going in to the subway. The room service and cleaning of the room was good. Some language issues but overall very good. Concierge was helpful too. Highly recommend. Club room is lacking daytime snacks and food. Good service but variety of offers could be better. Dinner options were good. They do serve breakfast but we went to the buffet. Drinks are readily available.

The room was beautiful, modern, and extremely clean, with stunning views of Tokyo Tower and the nearby skyscrapers. The Club Lounge was a major highlight — calm atmosphere, great selection, and everything was complimentary throughout the day. The bath products from THANN were also excellent — I actually plan to purchase them for home use. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The team outside the hotel, who helped with taxis and luggage, left a particularly great impression. The location is also very convenient, with a metro station just 2 minutes away. And of course, as expected in Japan, I felt completely safe at all times. Although pretty expensive, the Teppanyaki restaurant on the 36th floor is definitely worth visiting — great food, great service, and an amazing view.

a large hotel in a good location. rooms are small but comfortable. the bed is exceptional with very soft linen. the bath towels are large and fluffy. WiFi around the hotel is good. numerous restaurants within a short distance. the buffet breakfast on level 2 is exceptional with something for everyone. the French style coffee shop is great for sandwiches and salads if you are on a tour. ALL staff members are efficient, professional and kind to guests. walk to the adjoining block for a wide selection of restaurants. coin operated laundry just across the road. use the underpass to cross

I stayed at this hotel for four nights and found the location very convenient. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the bedding was extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, offering a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The front desk staff were welcoming and very helpful. I would definitely return.

This hotel has very spacious rooms with large comfortable beds and a large bathroom. This is an unusual amount of space compared to other hotels of the same category in Tokyo. The personnel speaks very good English and was very helpful to reserve us restaurants for the evening. The hotel does not have a bar or restaurant, but Starbucks and local chocolate shops are just round the corner. I loved the charming and elegant neighborhood with a pleasant atmosphere, very few tourists and an excellent range of shops, bars and restaurants and pedestrian walks. The hotel is very near the Jiyugaoka stop of the underground that takes you to Shibuya and downtown Tokyo in 20 minutes or less. The Narita airport is rather far away (1 hour 50’), but there is an option to take the Narita express to Shibuya, then the underground.

Great place to stay just out of Tokyo. One of the more modern suburbs where fashionable higher-income youth come to shop and hang out, with lots of interesting boutique shops and some famous places such as Sweets Forest and some popular cheesecake/egg tart place that had a huge queue. There was a takoyaki chain store across the road, supermarket, cafes, and it was a few minutes walk from the train station. Staff spoke really good English and gave very professional service. Our superior queen room was larger than we expected and great value for what we paid. The bathroom was very stylish and modern, with marble and mirrors, and a separate shower room with heaps of space and a large bath to our surprise. Bed was very large and comfortable, and the TV had free access to a premium (adult) channel (tee hee) not that there was anything good on anyway. Great luxury amenities at a budget price, minus the whole fancy room service and hotel bar atmosphere. They also helped us out by looking after our luggage for the afternoon when we checked out.

The hotel is ideally situated an easy two minutes walk from Jiyugauka Station. Even though the hotel does not provide breakfast there are many eating places within a 5 minutes walk, the nearest being next door to the hotel and McDonalds a few metres away. The hotel does provide a coffee machine and snacks in the lobby. My room was spotless, roomy and included a fridge with a free bottle of water every day, a free safe and kettle and tea/coffee. I had booked a single room but was given a room with a king-size bed. I don’t know if that was normal though. As an older female traveller on her own I felt completely safe and the staff were very helpful and spoke English. The price was very reasonable and I would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay within easy reach of the city of Tokyo. Jiyugauka itself is a nice town with some tree-lined shopping streets and good shops.

If you are looking for a hotel out of central Tokyo, this is it. We recently stayed 9 nights in the hotel, on the advice of a Tokyo resident. The location in Jiyugaoka is wonderful, with many excellent shops and restaurants in the neighboring streets, and the train station 1 block away. The hotel is small, quiet and clean and the staff are most pleasant and eager to help. Our room was large by Tokyo standards, with separate bath/shower and toilet rooms. The linens and toiletries were excellent, and we had a small fridge. Closet space was limited, as in other Japanese hotels we have stayed in. At less than $200.00 per night, this hotel is excellent value and highly recommended.

A great place! We found it very convenient to explore the area- close to trains, bakeries and shops, and we felt very safe and comfortable. Beds were comfortable and shower and bathroom were very large. Staff was extremely polite and this place was great value. Highly recommended if you want to be in the Jiyugaoka area.

The location was great, close to the train station, restaurants and shopping. They were very kind to hold our bags after check out until our flight time. Beds were clean and comfortable, the shower was very relaxing with interesting water features. There room had some scratched furniture and the lobby drinking water system was broken, these could be easily fixed and it could give a better impression to guests. A pizza restaurant was located on the second, even though it was expensive, it was very convenient after a long day of walking. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Convenient, close to a family mart AND 7-11. Ikebukuro station is a short walk, and there are so many restaurants and things to do. The staff is friendly and the gym is amazing (not included in the hotel price) The room itself is a little small but it is clean, and if you get a room on a higher floor, you’ll love the view.

clean and well presented. nice free tee and coffee in reception and donuts. efficient and environmentally friendly cleaning service. laundry with in built detergent on 7th floor which was useful. well thought out amenities like fridge, toothpaste/brushes slippers and robes which were nice little extras. razors and combs also available in reception. the shower was lovely and the products were nice, smelt good and didn’t dry our skin like the ones in UK hotels! so if you are travelling light you can really pack minimal toiletries when staying in this hotel. great location, easy to get everywhere and the windows were well sound proofed so we slept well. we particularly liked Denny’s for breakfast across the road, mister donut round the corner and sushiro restaurant down the road towards the station. we needed early check in due to flight arriving at 7am and forgot to arrange this in advance but staff were accommodating and arranged the cleaning staff to get the room ready and allowed us to check in at 12pm for an additional charge. next time I would sort this our earlier. we were able to leave our luggage there and went for a wander around whilst waiting.

I stayed here for 2 weeks this summer. I am actually very impressed by the facility, especially their well trained professional staffs. Peng, paul is a manager who i met during morning buffet. He is really caring and wanting to offer more for a pleasant stay. Me and my daughter had a difficult time adjusting jet lag. He sent up a delicious tray of dessert. We felt so loved and welcomed. Another hotel personals name: chan, hao wen. He literally recognized me and my daughter since day 1. He proactively offered so many assistance with our package and food deliveries. Always respectful, and polite. Our room is spacious for the price we paid. Bed is very comfortable. We were able to have restful sleep every night. We didn’t have any AC issues. The only drawback for me is that there is no ice machine on the floor, i love my drinks cold. I had to call front desk daily to ask for ice deliveries every single time.

Nothing can beat the location of this stylish hotel. Right in the middle of Shibuya, with views of Shibuya Scramble and less than 10 min walk to various train stations, this hotel was clean, stylish luxurious and welcoming. It is right across from the massive 24-hour Donki store along with being surrounded a ton of shops and restaurants. My room was comfortable, stylish and quiet. Bed was comfortable too! The restaurant on the 11th floor had a massive terrace and offered amazing views of Shibuya. Service overall was wonderful especially the front desk (special mention to Rei who checked me in and recognised my Diamond status by trying to give me the best room available for an early check in). Another outstanding team member was the charming barista Sean in the restaurant who tried to make me feel as welcomed as possible during a busy morning at breakfast, I would say the common facilities were a bit of a downer. Gym was tiny and claustrophobic. The restaurant while visually appealing didn't offer much else. Food wasn't that good and service very patchy (given they hire temp staff to cover busy times. No other facilities to be enjoyed then again, why would I stay in the hotel when I should outside enjoying the Shibuya area and Tokyo! I do however think, a good gym is a basic requisite. Nonetheless, a really cool and nice hotel to stay at. I would surely return!

Great stay at this hotel. Front desk staff very helpful and efficient. Room had everything you need. It was a wee bit on the tight side but have stayed in smaller rooms before. There was a nice bench seat at the window to sit at and look out at the views. There was everything you need - fridge, coffee/tea making facilities, separate toilet and shower. All very clean. We included breakfast and this was excellent. Staff very friendly and the food from the buffet and menu was delicious. Also best coffee we had from a hotel breakfast - baristas made rather than a self service machine. There is a great rooftop bar. We didn’t get to use it as our exploring too long but took some time to go and and look at the view. Great location a few minutes walk from Shibuya Crossing and Station. At the end of our stay the front desk staff helped us to organise our bags to be shipped to our hotel in Kyoto directly from the hotel. This made a huge difference to moving around Japan more easily. Will defiantly stay here again when next visiting Japan.

The staff were exceptional! Fantastic service, very very friendly, easy to understand, well presented, helpful, smiley, polite, respectful and did I say helpful ...... so helpful!! The outside bar area was amazing, spacious and relaxing which is welcomed after a busy day of shopping and sightseeing. The rooms were fun and interesting, very comfortable, great pillows, great shower, light and airy.

Staff: The staff were exceptional—friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a comfortable stay. From the warm welcome at check-in to their helpful recommendations, they made me feel truly cared for. Cleanliness: The hotel was spotless! My room was immaculate, and the common areas were always clean and well-maintained. You can tell they take great pride in keeping the place in top condition. We absolutely loved our stay at the Indigo Hotel Shibuya! The location could not be more perfect, right in the heart of Shibuya, and the view from our room was simply the best – breathtaking both day and night. Breakfast was fantastic with nothing left to be desired. The bar and outdoor area are a wonderful spot for evening drinks, and we were especially delighted to find Aperol Spritz on the menu – the perfect continuation of our recent Italy trip. Special praise must go to the housekeeping team: the room was spotless at all times, almost as if it was refreshed every hour. We stepped out for a short while and returned to find it pristine and freshly made again – truly impressive! The check-in was extremely friendly and courteous, setting the tone for the rest of our stay. The absolute highlight, though, was a beautifully hand-decorated honeymoon-card waiting in our room, signed by several team members. It was so sweet and personal, it could have been one of our wedding cards – such a thoughtful gesture that touched us deeply. The rooms are super modern, stylish, and exceptionally clean – Indigo remains my favorite brand, and this hotel exceeded even the high expectations I already had. We felt incredibly comfortable here and can only recommend this hotel warmly to anyone visiting Tokyo. A truly unforgettable hotel for our last days in Japan. Big thanks to the whole team!

The location is the best thing. Very near the train stations for yamanote & asakusa line, and its one of the smaller stations so there wasnt a lot of walking to get to the platforms. The room I chose was spacious enough for about 4 opened luggages with enough space to walk around. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but still comfortable enough to use unless you are over 190cm tall. It was also cleaned daily, however it still felt a little dusty. A non-issue really since Tokyo has the cleanest & freshest air lol literally just go outside. The staff at the lobby were extremely helpful and friendly. They helped store luggages before check in time as well as the process of forwarding our luggages to the next location. There is a familymart right out the lobby door. Really convenient for quick bites. Thank you so much Hotel Mystays :)

We stayed in a triple room with 3 separated beds. The room was clean with the daily cleaning service. It was spacious with enough space to open our suitcases. The toilet was separated from the sink and bathroom as well as the bathtub. The location was perfect. There was a FamilyMart on the ground floor, as well as many restaurants in the small alleys around the hotel. There were also supermarkets and grocery shops around. The hotel is right next to the Gotanda train station just across the road (but the noise from the trains didn't bother us). Both JR and Metro made it easy to get to everywhere in Tokyo and easy to come back to the room for a little break during the long traveling day.

The room was super clean. The bed was comfortable. There is a convenience store on the first floor. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area. Super safe. Super great location, just in front of Gotanda station with multiple lines to get around Tokyo.

staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Their office hours finished at 9pm however due to our late flight they arranged for someone to remain at the desk until 11pm. I had asked about laundry facilities prior to arriving and they provided me a print out on arrival with three nearby locations and a QR code for their location on a map. Definitely went above and beyond. The room was spacious with good kitchen amenities. The triple room was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 1 child. The room was very clean and we were offered a choice of 2 dates we would prefer the cleaners to tidy up as we were staying for 9 nights. It was also well appointed with 2 train lines nearby making it extremely convenient for getting around. overall very impressed. 10/10 would stay here again.

No breakfast offered but a complete kitchenette provided! Cups,mugs,plates,knife,forks,spoons,laddle and many more provided! Hotel is a 4minutes walk to halal kebab station, family mart, 7-eleven, Okubo station.n 10 minutes walk to Donquijote, mcdonalds, and streets shops! hotel room is very clean! not a single strand of hair spotted! Check in was a breeze. We will definitely come again! Very suitable for all kind of travellers! comfortable bed, clean room, toilets are clean!

Coming over from STAY in Kyoto, the check-in process was even more seamless as they ported the information over. Absolutely amazing! I would go back and would repeat my stay with them! For once, the photos provided on the internet (e.g., booking.com, Google, japanhotels, agoda) did not do this space justice. This space inspire rest & rejuvenation packed into a comfortable room. The lightings, small-room furniture and facilities (outdoor spa, indoor sauna) made this place amazing. My mom fell sick and we needed some medication, the receptionist stayed overtime and showed us places where we could get it! The mood lightings made it really comfortable to nurse the stress from the hustles and bustle of living in Shinjuku amazing. Location keys: we are beside the JR lines so the day pass is really useful! Also, one junction away from Japanese K-town.

The staff I interacted with were super friendly and welcoming. The room was as pictured and very clean. The inside and outside bath were equally satisfying to use. Amenities are modern and comfortable.

Had a great experience staying at this hotel. Location is perfect close enough to Shinjuku but not in the middle of the mayhem! Our room fitted 4 people and it was clean, nice and somehow spacious for Tokyo standards. Hotel is located in a side street near lots of restaurants and stores, eating or shopping was not difficult. Also, 2 subway stations are only meters away. Travelling in Tokyo is challenging but having access to 2 stations made it easy in addition we were able to purchase train tickets at the closest station. Staff was great and tried to help as much as possible. I'd definitely stay here again.

Our stay at The Okura Tokyo was nothing short of extraordinary. We were on one of the top floors, and the sweeping views of the city were breathtaking — from the skyline to the American Embassy and Residence directly below. Our suite was immaculate and spacious, with a bathroom featuring a floor-to-ceiling glass view that made every moment feel like a private retreat above Tokyo. The staff’s service was exceptional — every interaction was marked by genuine warmth, flawless attention to detail, and an elegant sense of deference. We enjoyed a superb meal at the hotel’s sushi restaurant, where the quality, presentation, and traditional Japanese style were all first-class. The property itself is stunning, with gorgeous facilities, serene design elements, and even its own museum next door to Tokyo’s Nobu restaurant. The location is ideal — not only steps from the American and Swedish embassies but also surrounded by beautiful urban gardens, glass atriums, and, in April, the magic of cherry blossoms in full bloom. The Okura Tokyo is a perfect blend of refined tradition and modern luxury, and it sets the bar for five-star hospitality. We cannot wait to return.

The hotel is located in an embassy area, which we found to be very quiet and safe. Our room was spacious, featuring one and a half bathrooms. The rooms have been newly renovated with a modern design, and the entire hotel is exceptionally clean. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ensuring a pleasant experience. Every morning, there were two breakfast options offered, both of which were delicious and visually appealing. We truly had a wonderful stay at The Okura.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! It massively exceeded my expectations as someone coming from the west. i was super nervous about the room sizes in Tokyo and our room was very big. As a traveller coming from the UK, of course we had a lot of luggage. I appreciate that room sizes are just smaller in Japan but being on your honeymoon and struggling for space is not something I envisioned for a trip of a lifetime. Book the Okura if you need space to feel comfortable. Amenities were brilliant. Room was always cleaned to perfection and stocked to the brim with water, coffee and snacks! This property is near a lot of embassies so it's in a very glam area and very safe and quiet. This is a wonderful little rest after sightseeing all day in busy tourist areas which can be over-stimulating. The local metro is about an 8 min walk and the hotel itself will sell you a metro card which is great! There are always taxis at the cab rank. Service was exceptional! at any given time, several members of staff are ready to greet you or help. We tried the buffer restaurant one night which was also lovely. The hair salon and spa were both excellent. I have now moved on in the my trip in Japan while I see other cities and hotel but the Okura has stolen a big part of my heart and I long to be back! Stay here if luxury travel is important to you including amazing service and attention to detail at perfect levels!

Hands down, an amazing hotel. top notch service, wonderfully appointed rooms and amenities. rooms- large and well decorated. beautiful bathrooms with a separate steam shower service- A+ all around breakfast buffet- wonderful selection of both Japanese and Western cuisine bars- beautiful bar/lounge with wonderful views of the city grounds- pristine with an attached garden which should be enjoyed location- close to 2 subway lines and many restaurants. no shopping but that wasn't an issue. gym- large on the top floor with panoramic views. they will even rent you gym clothes if needed. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

We spent 3 nights at the FS Otemachi. I was initially concerned that the hotel was far away from the tourist sights and the location in the financial district was deserted in the evening. My concerns were unfounded, the hotel is close to the metro station and the area is very safe and well maintained. We loved our Superior Room with imperial garden view: modern, very bright, high floor with sweeping views, luxurious furnishings and lots of complimentary amenities (very good tea, nuts, lots of bottled water, bath products, welcome sweets...). The Virtu Bar is a hotspot and also very popular with non-hotel guests. There is usually a queue, but you can always find a seat after a short time. Our favourite place in the evening. We also liked the Italian restaurant Pigneto with it's relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. The pizza is very good. We used the lounge for an early dinner. However, we felt less comfortable there due to the rather sterile atmosphere. There are cozy tables by the window, but our table was in the hallway. Over all, we highly recommend FS Otemachi for a vacation or business trip.

We recently stayed here for our engagement trip to Japan. The hotel is nothing short of fantastic. The concierge team was amazing, setting up tours and engagement photos for us. We ate often at the breakfast buffet and room service, the food was top notch. The hotel rooms are beautiful and well appointed, very modern and the entrance on the 39th floor with a water feature overlooking Tokyo is an amazing view. The service and staff at this hotel are what really set it apart. Every single person we encountered offered some of the best service we have encountered anywhere in the world and they go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Maiko from guest services provided an amazing and seemless check in experience and George from the front door staff guided us through Tokyo station and went above and beyond to ensure a stress free trip. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Tokyo.

What a hotel, amazing views, what a stunning view from our bed in the room. It was spotless, the most comfortable bed with gorgeous linen. Lovely little touches on turn down and loved the slippers. Breakfast was superb, staff were amazing loved every minute of this hotel it was a great way to start our amazing journey around Japan.

I was celebrating a special milestone birthday and picked this hotel after reading several reviews. I was just blown away from pre-arrival to departure! Their attention to detail was just phenomenal! The service was just impeccable: - I needed a baby bottle steriliser and had asked if they had one prior to arrival. They went the extra mile and even arranged for housekeeping to send me photos via email. - When I arrived, they wished me a happy birthday had upgraded me to a deluxe room and there was a cake and decorations waiting for me. It was truly lovely and thoughtful. - When I got to the room, the steriliser had already been set up! In other hotels, I've had to remind them to send this. Also, I had ordered packages from Amazon and instead of having to chase, they brought them up to me. The room and facilities were also amazing. It is a new(ish) hotel and the room as well as the gym and pool were very modern and well-fitted. The views of the Imperial palace were just breathtaking. Location wise, while it is in the CBD are, it is really convenient and close to the Imperial Palace. The only thing I regret is not getting a room with the Imperial Palace View. The city view was ok but nothing to write home about.

We have spent 8 nights here at this wonderful hotel - first 5 nights on the 14th floor (city view) & last 3 nights on the 12th floor (garden view an upgrade) - Perfection throughout our stay! The hotel rooms are big & spacious- the beds will give you a wonderful night’s sleep. The bathroom are huge with instant hot water & perfect pressure from both shower & bath. The quiet serenity of this hotel made it difficult for us to leave - this is our 3rd visit in a year! The service here is top notch - everyone going above & beyond to help & answer questions. We had breakfast, lunch & dinner here a few times - everything we had was fresh & very good. It was easy to get around once we found the train stations & buses plus we enjoyed the walks in the area. We have recommended this hotel to our friends & hope to be back in the near future! Thanks Hotel Chinzanso for everything- truly 5 Star Service!

Amazing amazing hotel. Staff greeted us and check in was very prompt. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful all throughout our stay. The hotel grounds are stunning and worth spending time in, especially in the evenings with the 'Sea of Clouds' display. Incredible choice of restaurants but try to make a booking early or you will risk missing out. Room was spacious and very comfortable with an incredible view of the gardens. Bathroom was a generous size and the amenities they provided were luxurious. Cannot recommend staying here enough. Would definitely return in future and stay longer.

After touring central Tokyo with its crowds we escaped back to the serenity of Hotel Chinzanso. If you’re looking for bright lights and action this is not the hotel for you, but if you’re looking for exceptional customer service and tranquility in a traditional environment look no further. The hotel has a stunning, large, Japanese garden to stroll through. Our room on the 14th floor had a vast view of this beautiful garden. There is also an exceptional spa in the hotel where fresh spring water is brought in for guests to soak in as well as spa services. There is traditional high tea service offered at 3pm that many locals in the area attend. Our room included access to a private lounge where we ate breakfast and consumed delicious snacks and drinks after touring. The Concierge at the hotel as well as Mr. Andre Sol, the director of guest services, went above and beyond their job. My husband had a medical emergency while in Tokyo and these employees gave us resources and direction during a difficult time. The most exceptional customer service from staff we have ever encountered throughout our travels. An incredible positive experience at Hotel Chinzanso which we highly recommend to stay while visiting Tokyo.

We debated long and hard about our stay here and are so glad we committed. The hotel is truly incredible. Every room has a view of the most amazing garden in Tokyo. The garden is a delight to explore and if you’re patient you’ll spot fireflies in the wild along with a plethora of other wonderful sights. The rooms are spacious and the beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable which is hard to find in Tokyo! The turndown service is just lovely with the staff being so professional and polite. The gym is the best I’ve encountered in this city and the spa and pool areas are divine. My only slightly negative experience was the stone grill restaurant. An extremely expensive meal which we don’t mind paying for, but the wine list is full of Chardonnay with no other choices. It’s a let down for such a high caliber restaurant. Thankfully they offered us wines from another restaurant but this menu should be reviewed, specifically for western guests. Other than this I absolutely loved this hotel and rate it highly amongst the many hotels around the world that I’ve stayed in. Thankyou team Chinzanso.

Great room (we paid for an upgrade to a 60 m2 room, which was worth it for 3 people), comfortable beds, even the portable bed was good. Huge bathroom, with a tub and a large shower cabin. Great breakfast, served at the table (no buffet). Several restaurants on site, we did not try them all (the fancy kaiseki restaurant needs to be booked >3 days in advance), but the tepan yaki was excellent, the japanese and western restaurants were quite good too. Quiet location, adjacent to a beautiful park.

My family had a wonderful 5 night stay at this truly phenomenal hotel. The Capitol Hotel Tokyu was 5 star in every way. Highlights included beautifully appointed rooms (spacious and stylish, great views, very comfortable beds and incredible shower), great fitness centre, indoor pool, spa and exceptional buffet breakfast. The location is perfect in the centre of Tokyo with two subway stations located directly beneath the hotel - from here you can quickly access Ginza, Harajuku, Shabaka, Rappongi and Shinjuku all reasonably short train trips away. Above all, I want to compliment the service which was truly incredible. Every staff member went out of their way to be kind and helpful to us. For example, I lost my iPad on Shinkansen train and the concierge worked for several days to track it down and get it couriered back from Osaka! My son has special dietary needs helped find him some gluten free food for breakfast. A huge thank you to everyone at the Capitol for a sensational stay.

We are just checking out after a one-week stay at the hotel. It was perfect for us as a family of five. We had a corner suite and a connecting room. The rooms were spacious with lots of amenities and excellent service from house keeping staff. We were aware of the age restrictions for the spa area so we knew we wouldn’t make use of the pool due to the ages of our children. Facilities are great. Breakfast was more than sufficient for us including the buffet and the al a carte menu. Access to the metro from underneath the hotel and the 7-11 made it very convenient. Hotel staff were so helpful, professional and friendly. Delighted with this hotel for our first trip to Japan.

It’s located slightly north of the crazy Shibuya district, which is great to visit but I’m not so sure about staying near. It’s next to the government building areas, so it’s ever so slightly quieter (at least as far as Tokyo goes). There’s a subway station in the basement, and if you’re brave enough, all of Tokyo basically lay at your feet. We arrived rather late at night and discovered to our amazement that it is adjacent to a beautiful shrine, which was empty and dark and positively magical - buzzing with cicadas and downright enchantment. The building itself it exquisite and beautiful, with views all around. Everything you could want in a pinch is a short walk away - from convenience stores (everywhere) to walk in, quality but not pretentious restaurants. Arriving about 9pm as we did, we were starving, and within minutes wandered into a ramen place that was busy but not haughty and we proceeded to devour a sumptuous dinner. The hotel also has a glorious indoor pool and spa on the 14th floor, which opens at 6:30 and which I visited every morning for some laps and relaxation. The staff were incredible. I traveled there with my daughter, who speaks Japanese, but when she wasn’t around, they were conversant in english. Also, check out the incredible whisky bar on the 4th floor. Room was absolutely silent and clean. Comfortable beds. Incredible views. When I return to Tokyo, I shall return to the Capitol Hotel.

This is our third stay at The Capitol which is a fantastic hotel, we would not stay anywhere else in Tokyo. It starts with the stylish and super efficient welcoming of the doormen and doorwomen. The rooms are extremely confortable and large, the bathrooms have the best shower ever with loads of toiletries , the breakfast is excellent and the general vibe is luxurious yet not ostentatious, you feel well and in a cocoon. The actual location is unbeatable in the center of Tokyo yet in a quiet and high end enclave and the metro is just downstair ( yet you would not know. Two separate words interconnecting with total discretion). The Capitol is a grant hotel. i did not use the pool nor the spa this time, i however highly recommend going for a swim, the view is top and the spa last time was also perfect.

We stayed in this hotel for the first time in 2013. Then in 2014, 2015 and now again in 2024. Despite the fact that the rooms have some age to them, everything is completely immaculate. Beds are comfortable, shower is amazing and the view from the large windows is lovely. Staff are friendly and helpfull. Location is excellent due to direct access to four metro-lines. Not to mention the outstanding dinner at Japanese restaurant Suiren.
